Points of Interest & Landmarks
Nestled in the heart of Geelong's Cultural Precinct, Geelong Gallery has been a beacon of artistic expression since its establishment in 1896. As one of Australia's oldest regional art galleries, it boasts an impressive collection that spans over 6,000 works, showcasing significant pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries alongside contemporary Australian art. Visitors can immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of creativity that includes not only paintings but also decorative arts from European masters spanning three centuries.
Geelong Gallery pairs classical charm with contemporary vitality. The grand entrance opens onto light-filled rooms where colonial landscapes share wall space with bold modern pieces, and the juxtaposition feels fresh rather than forced. Skylights throw soft natural light across varnished floors, making colours glow without glare, while well-pitched labels offer context in plain language so you learn without slowing the stroll. Temporary exhibitions rotate through the central hall and often bring big-city calibre works to a regional setting, giving locals regular reasons to return. Staff greet visitors with a genuine smile and seem happy to chat about recent acquisitions or offer quick tips on what not to miss. The compact footprint means you can see the permanent collection in an hour yet still find quiet corners to linger, especially in the mezzanine where smaller works encourage closer inspection. A glass wall overlooks Johnston Park, adding a moment of greenery between galleries, and the adjoining shop stocks thoughtfully curated art books and gifts without feeling touristy. Entry is free, donations are gently encouraged, and elevator access keeps the space friendly for prams and wheelchairs. Geelong Gallery succeeds in making art feel welcoming, relevant and refreshingly accessible.

It is a nice place to visit while in Geelong and is free of charge. For me, there were less things to see which I didn’t enjoy much as the place was wide but only offers limited art pieces. The gallery though was clean and bright which made the place vibrant. There are places to seat while waiting for friends or family members who are enjoying the place. Although this place is not for me but willbe enjoyed by people who love art and learning the history about it.
Hillary C — Google review
The permanent exhibition has good landscape works from historic Geelong, though a broader selection would be welcome. The Archibald Prize exhibition is certainly worth visiting.
Ida N — Google review
A beautiful gallery situated in the heart of Geelong. It offers a captivating blend of temporary and permanent exhibitions that are a must-vist for art lovers. I recently explored a temporary exhibition at the gallery, Janenne Eaton: Lines of Sight - Frame and Horizon, and it was and inspiring and thought provoking experience.
Mitraja B — Google review
Good place to spend your day off for about an hour. The place isn’t very large, but there are still some things to see. When I went, there was a special exhibition that required an additional fee.
Pawarisa P — Google review
Went to the Geelong Gallery for Archibald 2025 and it was a wonderful experience. The exhibition was well organised, the staff were friendly, and the space was clean and quiet.
Meng-Hsuan L — Google review
Geelong Art Gallery, such a divine small space and today it was filled with big paintings celebrating modern Australia. The Archibald Prize finalists were awesome! There is a great coffee shop across the road, Tutti... in the theatre building, if you need.
Kristin W — Google review
We Saw the Archibald Prize paintings and prize-winning ones. Very interesting. We have some wonderful painters; and their paintings looked like photos, showing the xlnt skills of the painters. A few looked lousy to me. I saw no painting skills in these ones. Overall a very good experience and only $20 admission. Lovely big gallery rooms , and had booklets to explain every one of the 56 paintings on show. There is also a licenced cafe selling meals etc. Very busy, but service was xlnt and fast considering the crowd there. We will go again next year to see the next exhibition. Nice clean toilets. A very nice precinct. Well worth going.

Botanical garden
Located within Eastern Park on the eastern outskirts of Geelong's central business district, the Geelong Botanic Gardens is a serene and historic destination. Established in 1851, it is the fourth-oldest botanic garden in Australia and boasts a diverse collection of plants from around the world.
Parking was very easy, and free, and just a short walk to the main gates. Beautiful mid-sized botanical gardens, with a vast and beautiful selection of plants and flowers and trees, shrubs, ferns, the list goes on. Lovely little oval space entranceway that then leads to some beautifully well maintained lawns, the greenhouse, fountains and other impressive sculptures. There was some minor upgrades/repairs that were being conducted, but nothing major that hindered the experience. Very peaceful to walk around, so many varieties that you could spend well over an hour or two just reading into each species and enjoying their beauty. If it’s your sort of thing, I’d recommend bringing a picnic blanket and some snacks as the lawns are very well maintained and a lush green. There are also several of them that are quite large in size, so you can relax with some privacy. All in all a great stop and definitely recommend if you’re in or passing through Geelong!
Connor D — Google review
A small garden but beautifully maintained & a pleasure to walk around. Nice little coffee shop to sit & enjoy the surroundings. Very close to the foreshore also.
Margaret B — Google review
Great place to come and visit. Well laid out. Plenty of signs around next to the plants and trees. Good walkways. Areas to sit through out. There is also a cafe within the gardens. Well must visit. Be mindful of the times as it is open at a set time each day.
Christine B — Google review
The garden is very well maintained and not too big. We spent about 1.5 hours here, slowly admiring the plants and blooms, as my elderly companion loves flowers. We visited on a weekday morning, and it was quite difficult to find a parking spot, not sure if it is always like this or if there was an event nearby on that day. There is also a café inside. Free entrance and parking. Worth a visit if you are in the area and enjoy plants.

A Peaceful Escape at the Geelong Botanic Gardens – Where Nature and Reflection Meet A recent visit to the Geelong Botanic Gardens turned into one of those quietly unforgettable experiences that linger in your memory long after you leave. I went with a friend, expecting a simple afternoon stroll, but what we found was a place that perfectly balances tranquility, beauty, and inspiration. From the moment we stepped through the gates, the lush greenery and thoughtfully designed pathways drew us in. Each section felt like its own little world, vibrant flower beds bursting with colour, century-old trees providing shade, and the gentle sound of water adding rhythm to the atmosphere. We spent time wandering through the heritage garden, reading the plaques, and learning about native Australian plants that thrive in this unique coastal climate. There were plenty of lighthearted moments too; like when we tried (and failed) to capture the perfect photo under a canopy of leaves that kept moving with the breeze. It was one of those places that naturally encourages conversation, laughter, and quiet reflection all at once. What truly stood out was how well-maintained and welcoming the gardens felt, the layout was accessible, and every detail reflected care and pride in preserving this space for the community. The Geelong Botanic Gardens reminded me that sometimes, the most meaningful moments happen when we simply pause to appreciate the natural beauty around us and the company we share it with.

Scenic paths winding amongst a wide variety of trees, palms & shrubs. Licensed cafe with a good menu provides a pleasant interlude for vistors. Free entry.

Had a great experience there. Was fun exploring different areas, run, hide and seek, talk about different plants and flowers etc. we took our bikes and kids enjoyed biking there.

5 Stars - A perfect family day out! Geelong Waterfront is absolutely fantastic, especially for families with kids! There's something for everyone—from the fun water play area and the scenic train ride to the exciting Ferris wheel. We loved grabbing ice cream from the truck and relaxing at one of the many picnic huts. The beach area is clean and secluded, perfect for a peaceful dip or just lounging. Kids had a blast in the water pool while we enjoyed coffee from the nearby café. The views are simply stunning, and if you're feeling adventurous, there’s kayaking, boat hire, and even a helicopter ride! This place has it all—can't wait to go back. Love it!

OMG. The Geelong waterfront beats every waterfront in Melbourne. The vibe is so fresh, lively and serene. Loved the jetty and esp the kids pool, leading into adults lap swimming n then straight into ocean. The views from atop and the star are breathtaking. Its a must place to visit and spend a quality family day or a romantic date at. Refreshed my mood and reenergised me. Ahhh! We're returning here again soon. :)
Shazia C — Google review
On a nice day, the beach and pool are amazing. There is a pool section for the kids and there is an enclosed beach area as. This area has a bit of seaweed floating around but not bad enough to stop people from swimming. The water looked good over the Melbourne Cup weekend. There are showers, a restaurant and bbq areas on the lawns nearby if you don't like sitting on the sand. Parking is a bit of a challenge but if you are patient enough you will find one. The ferrous wheel was fun too. Awesome views from the top.

Lovely springtime Saturday night. I felt like a walk and an explore around Geelong and really enjoyed myself. There are lots of options for food but keep in mind the better the weather the more popular it is. I'd recommend booking a table at one of the many restaurants and take some mates for a fun night down by the water.
KingJames D — Google review
Stopped for a short visit, 11/6 around midday. A very pleasant sunny day even though it was 4 layers and a scarf cold! Easy access to the foreshore from Bellarine and Yarra Sts. We found 3h parking on Bellarine St though we didn't try to look for parking along the foreshore. The walking paths along the foreshore for the most part are wheelchair accessible, wide and level for anyone reliant on a walking stick. Lots of open space for kids to run around safely on the grassy areas. Terrific swimming areas for all ages and abilities, note that the swimming areas are closed in winter. The area maps we encountered were detailed so we always knew where we were in relation to where we started. I loved the painted bollards and the memorial wharf walk commemorating loved ones. There are several food and rest options along the foreshore even a boat on the marina serving hot mussels and paella! It was quite busy with several school groups on outings when we were there but there was still plenty of space for families enjoying a bbq and picnics.

Perfect Family Day at Geelong Waterfront 🌊 We spent a lovely (though chilly!) day at the Geelong Waterfront while holidaying with the kids, and it was absolutely worth it. The area is beautifully maintained, with wide open spaces, fantastic playgrounds, and stunning views over Corio Bay. Everything is well equipped—from clean restrooms and BBQ facilities to plenty of spots to sit and enjoy a coffee while the kids play. Even with the cooler weather, there was plenty to explore and enjoy. The kids loved the big playground and running along the art-deco boardwalk, and we all appreciated the fresh sea air and relaxing atmosphere. We’re already looking forward to coming back in summer—from November, the children’s pool by the sea at Eastern Beach reopens, complete with lifeguards, a diving tower, fountains, and shallow wading areas. It’s such a bonus for families and makes Geelong Waterfront even more of a must-visit during warmer months. Highlights: Great play areas for kids Beautiful coastal views and relaxing vibes Well-kept BBQ and picnic facilities Easy strolls along the waterfront Seasonal sea pool for kids reopening from 1 November Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed family outing—plenty to do, see, and enjoy!

Beach
Eastern Beach in Geelong is a popular spot for families and beach enthusiasts. It offers a swimming enclosure with safety measures, including a shark gate, making it ideal for kids. The beach features a boardwalk along the sea baths, providing easy access to the water and diving facilities. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing on the sandy white beach or take leisurely walks from the carousel to the bathing enclosure. The area is bustling with people having picnics and children enjoying the busy children's pool.
Best beach in my opinion, especially for gatherings with families and friends. Swimming pool, the diving platform, BBQ machines on the grass, and much more. You will have plenty of fun there.
Mark L — Google review
This place is perfect for spending time with family—relaxing, chatting, and watching the sunset together. It’s truly beautiful and incredibly peaceful. Laying out a picnic mat on the grass and just enjoying the moment felt like pure happiness.
Lois C — Google review
Eastern Beach There are delightful things at Eastern Beach, a Ferris wheel, a swimming pool for children, a café, open space for sunbathing, picnics and sports. The driver requires AU$10 payment for riding the tour bus. The seagulls welcome visitors but don’t feed them. Better apply insect repellent on your skin and clothes because of the mosquitoes in the grass. The toilets are dirty with messy food and liquid on the ground.
John L — Google review
If keep driving until the end of Eastern Beach you will arrive at a most beautiful location when you have the pool and sky wheel view at the left and a park in your right where you can have family gathering and a cuppa.

My son, my dogo Luna and I go for walks down by the waterfront several times a week. My son always exclaims it's his favourite part of the week 🫶

Lovely little public beach with a public pool. Nice little grass patch for picnics to take place. A ferris wheel too though I'm not sure if people ride on them. A stunning place to take sunset photos.

Eastern Beach Reserve, constructed in the 1930s, offers a range of leisure activities including an enclosed seawater pool and diving towers. Families can enjoy this spacious outdoor area by setting up tents, having picnics or barbecues while children play at the playground or dip in the shallow pool.

Visited Geelong Eastern Beach area on our way back from Botanical Garden. Beach has cafe, washroom, green area to sit, Giant Wheel and pool area for adults and children. Plenty of Parking was available when we visited. Its a nice place to relax and chill. Recommended.

🌳 Fantastic Family Park & Coastal Pool Opening Soon! Visited this lovely park in Geelong today during our holiday, and it was a great time despite the chill. The well‑equipped play area kept the kids entertained, with plenty of open grass, picnic and BBQ facilities, and clean amenities. The views of Corio Bay were simply stunning—perfect backdrop for family photos and sandy play. We were delighted to learn that the children’s sea pool at Eastern Beach—just by the park—is set to reopen from 1 November through to April. The shallow wading area, with its diving tower, springboards and fountains, is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer season . That gives us another seaside treat later this year! Highlights: Great for kids: Playground zones + space for running games Amenities: BBQs, picnic tables, toilets, showers Scenic spot: Art-deco boardwalk, sea baths, diving platforms Seasonal bonus: Children’s pool opens 1 Nov–21 Apr, with lifeguards on duty Despite a crisp spring breeze, our crew had a blast. Can’t wait to visit again in November when the sea pool reopens—another fun swim to add to our Geelong holiday plans!

This is beautiful part of the world & Eastern Beach Reserve is an airy space to enjoy a full view across the bay. This is a great place to walk, run & play. What an amazing morning! The kids had an absolute ball! Aside from the terrific activity and play areas, the staff come around at different points and let you know when special activities are starting. Today we did craft time, a storybook movie, and a dress up dance party. Completely worth every cent, and the drive! The staff were so friendly and made the kids feel special. The cafe was well priced and had great drinks and snacks. Highly recommend for anyone with little ones!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must visit in Geelong if you’ve got young kids We visited the Geelong Museum of Play and Art (MOPA) while in town for a Cats game and couldn’t have been more impressed. We went in the morning before the game and it was such a perfect way to spend time with kids before a big day. It’s ideal for children aged around 18 months to 7 or 8 years. We were a little unsure at first after seeing photos, wondering if it might be too focused on preschoolers, but our little guy (a bit older) had an absolute ball and easily played for the full two hours. He would have stayed longer if we let him. There are so many hands on activities that time really does fly. The optional special events and mini sessions throughout the visit were a lovely touch. They were engaging but not expected, which is great if your kids are already busy playing. The venue is well set up for families. There are good coffee and food options that are tasty and reasonably priced, and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Parking is manageable, though if you’re attending a session close to a Cats game, be prepared for it to be a bit busier than usual. Earlier sessions are best if you’re combining it with game day. Even in winter, it was fantastic. The water play was still popular despite the cold, and in nicer weather the outdoor areas would be even better. MOPA has a solid 4.8 star rating and after visiting, it’s very clear why. If you’ve got little ones in this age range, book a session. You won’t regret it.
Daniel — Google review
A great space for kids to play and interact with different activities. There were a few kids that were definitely over 7 years of age which is fine but they needed more supervision and guidance about being around little ones, especially with the painting activity. We wish we’d found the upstairs area sooner because it was a bit quieter and had activities our 2 little ones enjoy. The “dance party” at the end was a bit overwhelming with the volume and the number of kids. Overall a great space that I’d recommend attending just not during school holidays.
Katrina S — Google review
Our 3 kids (7, 4 and almost 2 yo) enjoyed their time here. A lot smaller than expected, main floor plus mezzanine level, just sufficient for the kids to be engaged in sensory play for the pre-booked 2 hour session. Low key activities, interesting (though not overly exciting), needs an update, but friendly staff and a good alternative to a busy play centre. Nice that it wasn’t overcrowded especially during school holidays, so kids could take their time exploring each play area with little to no wait time. Quaint place. Kids had a good time 👍
Thuy V — Google review
This place is an absolute "must visit" if you have kids. It is set out really well, you dont have to worry about the kids as the staff and vibe are super friendly and accepting of rough and tumble play. The cafe is good and made a great coffee. Loads of options for activities inside and out and the time goes by so fast. We could have easily booked a second session there. It was also not too overwhelming noise wise, which I have found to be an issue at other play places.
Alana D — Google review
This place is a kids heaven (and parents). Well thought out, super fun for all ages and none of us wanted to leave. Every state should have one! A serious credit to the creators. The car painting and duplo (in water) were seriously highlights (close contender the vaccum silk blowers inside)

Wow - what a fun and beautifully thought out venue for little people! We drove from Melbourne to Geelong to take our nearly 2 year old. She adored it! The first floor is dedicated to children's and youth books and activities, featuring comfortable reading areas and a wet area for arts and crafts. Very kind staff, but sadly library fails to achieve main purpose in serving as a LIBRARY. It seems like much attention is given to impress with modern design, however selection of books is very poor. Place is also very noisy, it's quite hard to believe anyone can study there.

Great facilities, free pads! 😃 I visited the library numerous times, just to use as a work space. They have great facilities, friendly staff, and a cafe on the ground floor. There's lovely natural light on several of the floors. There was even a sewing machine there to use! (You need to do an induction to use it, first.) I liked how the books were displaying, with some facing out and some stacked traditionally (spines facing out). Makes it easy to browse and for a book to jump out at you! There were also menstrual pads in the bathroom I used. I'm not sure if they were provided by the library or if someone else put them there, but wow, free pads is a great idea! Menstrual products really should be free, just like toilet paper is! I've heard the argument before, but experiencing it first hand really convinced me. No trying to find someone who has what you need, no stressimg about making it home without a leakage. Boom, it's right there for your use! You can deal with it and get on with your day! It really reduces the mental and emotional labour of having to deal with it! (Ideally, they'd be compostable, too, but that's arguably a separate issue.) Truly, I'm a massive convert, now! Will be advocating for that in future! Great library, highly recommended! 😊🙏💫

One really wonders whether these are libraries or some people's living room. People will walk making strong loud drumming sound from their high heels giving an air that they donot care. Some will just talk loud and laugh out loud regardless. Others will just make everyone clear of their intention to bother others. And all of these it seems are things that actual libray users would have to be okay with. These is no silent room or zone or floor in the library. There are no sign for the maintenance of quiet or respecting other people' intension to work seriously. As a tax payer, I feel really sad that the working environment in this library is not conducive for people who might want to come here for some quiet time and sincere work. Was this really meant to be a library I wonder! Or am I am uneducated enough not to be able to understand what should a alibrary mean and function as!

Dome shaped building has great architecture and stands out in the Geelong CBD. Lots of books available in the library and internet access if needed. It’s one of the biggest regional libraries in Victoria. Fantastic views of the Geelong Waterfront from Level 5 & the heritage centre is on Level 3. Staff is quite good as well.
Nakul P — Google review
The library has great facilities, no doubt and of course fancy looking facilities. But the main purpose of it being a LIBRARY is often not served. Even the staff are sometimes so loud that that a minimal sense of quiet is totally absent. One oftentimes can not work here withouth wearing a headphone or ANC. What an irony. People tend to go there to find a quiet corner to do important work. Here it feels like it is more of socicalisation space for some people who are proudly publicly loud. Total disgrace. No guideilnes along the lines of keeping calm and quit. hard to work.
Loveforour B — Google review
Beautiful architecture outside and very colourful inside. My favourite is the dome where you can see Geelong town centre from. The coffee shop also has good coffee.

First visit to this place. So impress with the design. Very artistic, modern but stylish. Just entered the kids level and the 5th level. The kids level has all that kids need including the gaming console with massive TV Screen. If not wrong, it has 5 TVs. The 5th lv is the roof top, showing nice view of the surrounding. Not sure which part of Geelong as. Im not local. The restrooms were clean and stylish too. Cant explore all of it due to time constraint. But it is very recommended place to visit.

Johnstone Park is a charming Victorian-era park located in Geelong, offering extensive lawns and beautiful sculptural works. Originally a swamp that was later transformed into a dam, the park provides a peaceful setting for leisurely strolls and relaxation. It is also home to cultural institutions and hosts occasional markets and concerts. With its rich history dating back to the late 1800s, Johnstone Park offers visitors a serene escape with its lush greenery and tranquil ambiance.
The park is an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation, as it features a vibrant display of flowers and a cool breeze during the winter months, making it perfect for pleasant walks.

Pretty decent park that not only serves as a shortcut to the train station (or CBD) but has enough grass, gardens, seats and paths to be relaxing and accommmodating. Markets and concerts here occasionally are always good. I had my wedding photos done here a long time ago. A longer a time ago, when colonists arrived here circa 1830s, it used to be a water resource and if you catch Addy articles from those times you can read about drunks falling in to it or animals (not drunk... I hope).

The park is at a walking distance from Geelong station. It has a nice garden which is ideal for a picnic with kids and family. It does have Geelong library at the centre of it which is also a must visit. Just cross the road and you would be in the market where you can find lot of eating options.

Embark on the Geelong Bollard Trail Walk, a delightful stroll along the bay where old timber pylons have been transformed into vibrant characters depicting Geelong's history. With over 100 bollards to admire, this leisurely walk is accessible for all, including those with strollers or older individuals. As you amble along the waterfront, take in the picturesque Eastern Beach Reserve and its family-friendly activities.
A great day trip from Melbourne. Lovely walk, great views, lots of places to eat after. Easily accessible via VLine if you don’t want to drive.

A very unique art installation that can be enjoyed whilst walking from Eastern Beach along the foreshore as far as Rippleside if feeling energetic. The painted bollards all have their own story related to the local area and are very well done. Most can be found between Eastern and Western Beaches, with others regularly spaced along the path further north.

CP — Google review
Really funny but it used to be a bollard One of the top things to do when you arrive in Geelong is take a relaxing stroll through Eastern Beach Reserve on the waterfront. You'll find plenty of activities for the whole family here. A flat, smooth promenade runs along the edge of Corio Bay, and picturesque picnic spots beckon beneath along the way, with beautiful bay views. On hot days, you can bask on the white-sand beach or take a dip in the shark-proof Art Deco swimming pool. Kids can paddle in the children's pool or climb until their heart's content at the nearby playground. A short stroll up the beach, the historic carousel and a Ferris wheel await for more family fun. Other fun things to do include casting a fishing line from Cunningham Pier or sipping a coffee while you soak up the bay views. Punctuating the promenade are one of Geelong's top sights: the colorful and whimsical Baywalk Bollards. Carved out of wood from the pylons of one of Geelong's piers, these colorful local characters depict local history, from a group of lifesavers reeling in a buoy to a military brass band pumping out a tune. Local artist Jan Mitchell painstakingly created an entire exhibition that spans the length of the Promenade, bringing smiles to tourist of all ages. If you're looking for fun things to do in Geelong for couples, take a romantic stroll along the beautiful promenade at sunset, one of the best free things to do in the Bellarine Peninsula.

For the love of history and a place in time! If those that worked here over a 100 years ago could see the space now, in all its modern splendour... Would they feel as if some part of themselves has lived on? Their photographs frozen in time to remind us. The gifts of those human beings that came before us has given us what we have now. The architecture is grounded in the past with thoughtful changes and new structures bringing it firmly into the future while we exist in it in the present. I relish in the blend of old and new. Bringing new life into something time has kindly left us to build apon. I adore the understated individual garden spaces in all areas. A lovely touch. Wonderful for those that work there to take a moment for themselves. Gardens are gifts for the mind/body and soul. Laying foundations for tranquillity and oneness with nature. Effortlessly creating a more balanced work/life ratio. After all we are human beings not robots. The gardens are splendid for visitors to meander about leisurely aswell. A gift for which I'm grateful for. I look forward to more creative transformations at our visionary Federal Mills, sewing the seeds of inspiration. 🙏❤️⏳️

This place is awesome. So many things to do for young people with autism and other additional needs. They literally had everything we wanted in a safe playspace for our students.

We Rock the Spectrum is one of my son’s favourite places to play and we had his 6th birthday there last weekend. Having a staff member cook the food we brought in and assist cleaning up made it stress free. All the kids had a ball and many parents commented on how great the venue was. Thanks team at WRTS! 🥳
Claire — Google review
My non verbal low functioning ASD 7 year old had a ball. Loved every minute we were there with lots to choose from.

The playground is very clean, beautiful, and well-organized, with plenty of space. You need to make a booking well in advance, but I really liked what I saw. Everything looked tidy and well-maintained.

100% an amazing space! Had my sons 8th birthday party. Everyone who attended commented how wonderful the space, equipment and set up was. We had a buzz lightyear theme and the staff amazingly set up the decorations in purple and green. Communication was thorough and they answered my millions of questions lol. Will book again!!

What a fantastic facility. The owners are just wonderful and welcoming! My 8yr old ASD son had the best time.... so many choices. While my 3 yr old loved playing with the shopping cart playing supermarkets and dressing up as a fireman. I highly recommend this wonderful place for the whole family. Thanks guys!

Went for a 6 YO birthday party. Kids loved it! Party space was good for a bite to eat and birthday cake. No coffee facilities, was a bit of a let down but other than that it was great.

A lovely place to hire out for special needs kids. I take my son there every week and he always has a ball. The staff are really friendly and catered to our needs. Love coming to We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym.

Amusement park ride
The Ferris wheel at the Geelong Waterfront offers breathtaking views of the area and is a must-do activity. It is one of the main attractions along the waterfront, providing an opportunity to take in stunning vistas. However, some visitors find it challenging to capture photos due to the cage surrounding the gondola. Overall, it's a cool experience that shouldn't be missed.
Surprisingly fun, great little experience by the water!
Joel — Google review
Having fun there. Took more than 5 min. But what I don’t feel comfortable with is the stuff. 1 tickets cost $11 if 4 ticket cost only $40. I got 7 people and I asked the lady can she charge $70? She replied very rude and disrespectful. She said whatever happens can’t change the price. Good to have experienced there but won’t be back next time
Huoy — Google review
Current prices are $11pp (doesn’t change for children) and $40 for a group of 4. The ride goes on for about 10 minutes and remember it gets quite cold and windy at the top! You get great views of the foreshore and the Main Street. The wheel turns surprisingly fast and the carriages can comfortably fit 3-4 adults (legs will probably touch). They aren’t enclosed so it’s rather chilly at night.
Laura K — Google review
Beautiful views of the Geelong Waterfront to be enjoyed. Well worth doing. The cage over the gondola makes it hard to take photos.

Closed due to high wind the day were were there, which was a shame. Would've loved to see the view from way up top~~

(Translated by Google) The ticket is 10 AUD/PP. One trip takes about five or six turns (should take more than five minutes). The air in the carriage is circulated and you can smell the faint salty smell of the sea. The scenery from the Ferris wheel is very good, overlooking the entire Eastern Beach. (Original) 門票10AUD/PP,一趟大概轉了有五六圈(應該有五分鐘以上),車廂裡空氣流通,可以聞到海水淡淡的鹹味,從摩天輪看下去的風景很好,可以俯瞰整個Eastern Beach

Nestled just a short five-minute drive from the bustling CBD, Barwon Valley Fun Park Playground is an absolute gem for families seeking adventure and relaxation. This expansive playground, situated along the picturesque banks of the Barwon River, offers a delightful experience for children of all ages. Younger kids can enjoy charming slides and bouncy fish, while older ones can explore thrilling play structures like zip lines and pirate ships. The park also features ladybug cars and various other engaging equipment to keep little ones entertained.
Nice area can walk along the river front , free barbecues plenty of shade , Dog friendly 😎👍
Robert M — Google review
Spacious and entertaining - fun and relaxing for all ages, human and fur-kind alike. Opened on the 19th of October, 2013. It is a part of the Barwon Valley Park more broadly. So much so that my comments and images are the same as it blurs into one big fun space. So much to do here, really. Good parking, good access with good facilities in the park or nearby. Play equipment of many types including a flying fox. Many swings. There is a half netball / basketball court with with ring each. Some equipment is for little tackers and some is for older kids. There is even a free outdoor gym with bars and hydraulic weights. Lots of grass for frisbees, soccer, kick to kick. Gravel paths for strolling about. It is beside the river where you can often see birds - waterhens, coots, ducks - and sometimes rowers and waterskiers. There are heaps of bench seats, acres of grass for picnics, and there are also several free bbqs (stainless hotplates). Toilets 🚻 yes. Lots of bins for rubbish and for recycling, as well as one for doggy do-dos. Many types of trees. Nearby there is a milk bar and near that is a phone booth. I was here in August on a Tuesday, not many folk here. In better climes and better times, it can be busy.

Geelong Art Space is a haven for local independent art and crafts, showcasing unique pieces and promoting emerging and youth artists. The Papermill Gallery, located in a well-preserved bluestone building from the 1870s, hosts various exhibitions including the Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Housed in a heritage building close to Geelong's Arts and Culture Precinct, this welcoming space offers diverse artworks such as paintings, textiles, ceramics, and mixed media.
I was lucky enough to discover Geelong Art space soon after it opened and always enjoy a visit when in Geelong. It is a must. The welcoming, relaxed atmosphere contributes to the appeal and creative, inviting displays of diverse and 'eclectic' art works is a joy to absorb and peruse. So many talented artists and makers in one place, and always a pleasant surprise to see new works and current exhibitions. Paintings, drawings, mixed-media, textiles and ceramics are just a few of the art forms found at this gorgeous venue. I have bought a few pieces from Katherine and have been very happy with the experience and the shared delight of 'finding a home' for them. So if in Geelong, be sure to pop in and visit Katherine and check this magical space.

Where do I start. Not only does Geelong Art Space display and sell some of the most beautiful artwork in Victoria, the service is second to none. I bought a spectacular piece from here and Katherine was amazing to deal with. Friendly, quick to respond to any questions and just a beautiful experience! If you’re in Geelong I highly recommend you pop in & support Katherine & the many talented artist, especially post this pandemic! 🎨 🥰

This is such a lovely place for many different reasons: nature, birds, strolling, picnicking, photography, dog walking, relaxing, even just parking. There are several picnic tables and lotsa grassed areas. No barbecues that I can think of. The river is nearby though the banks do not afford access but you can get close for a looksee. Be mindful of the joggers and cyclists as the river path passes by. Over all very tranquil. A family story says that my grandfather, who worked for the council, was part of the build crew; it was built in the early 1960s. Sadly, I do not recall asking him about this. Ample parking. Lotsa bins. Public toilets.
