Jardin botanique de l'Evêché is a stunning terraced botanical garden in Limoges, France. Spanning over five hectares on the steep right bank of the Vienne, it offers breathtaking views and a peaceful retreat. With over 1200 plants, including exotic species, the garden is arranged by theme, featuring plants for food coloring, medicinal use, traditional trades, and more.
Wonderful views of the cathedral and gardens, overlooking the city of Limogue.

On the way back to the Netherlands we visited the city of Limoges ant took a scroll around the surroundings of the city, was not busy at all a bit to quiet to my liking and no good place to have a meal to my liking
Roberto J — Google review
Pleasant tiered garden next to the cathedral. Visited in the evening when it was cooler as there is a lot of stone paths around.
Simon R — Google review
Since I live nearby, I come here quite often. Everything around here is very clean, green and well-maintained. There are never large crowds of people here. There is enough space for everyone. In the heat it is very pleasant to take shelter in the shade of the trees. There is a wonderful parking lot. All the main attractions are nearby. There are also bars and restaurants in case you get hungry. The river with the promenade is at the foot of the cathedral.
Alexey P — Google review
Nice place. Only some parts of the park seemed deserted.
Aistė D — Google review
Small but amazing botanical garden. Lots of small plant organized by family and well labeled. You can tell there are dedicated people working there. Thanks you. Stunning views too as it sits up on a hill. Great place to go for a walk or take the kids out. And it's free.
Aya C — Google review
Very nice gardens. A little scruffy probably given the extensive size of the gardens and the maintenance that must be required. We visited in August! Would recommend if in Limoges
James S — Google review
This is a pleasant place for a walk, or sit down and watch time go by. It is nicely laid out with some interesting plants I had not seen before. One side is the old town wall and this gives a good view out across Limogues.

Nestled in the heart of Limoges, the Aquarium du Limousin offers a delightful aquatic experience for visitors of all ages. Housed in a former underground reservoir, this compact yet well-organized aquarium showcases an impressive variety of marine life, including rays, fish, and eels. Families will find it particularly engaging; during our visit in early November, we were treated to festive Halloween decorations and a fun treasure hunt that kept the kids entertained.
Great aquarium has a bit of everything, the beautiful, the ugly, the cute and the scary. From neon tetras to piranhas to eels and crocodiles. It's well laid out and reasonable value, especially if you go regularly. They've also improved over time, although their Halloween decorations were way over the top.
Nathan P — Google review
Excellent communication and friendly staff. Catered for many languages with ease. I liked to know that 60% of the animals were rescued and enjoyed feeding the fish!
Rita R — Google review
As a family of 4 we had a great time, the lady at the entrance was very friendly and although I purchased the tickets in French she explained where to go and what to do in English as my French is basic. There is a good variety of fish with explanations and descriptions at each tank on both plaques and on tablets. Signposts/plaques and info is in French and English, the tablets language can be changed to multiple languages, Dutch, German, English, etc. The kids really enjoyed viewing the colorful fish, shrimp, electric eels, jelly fish, and everything really! Kids get a step to take around with them so they can see in all the tanks. Near the end one of the staff members asked is if we would like to feed the fish which we did, we were also allowed to touch them which the kids enjoyed. Again, the staff member spoke both French and good English. Toilets where clean and tidy as well. Thanks for the fantastic experience!
Dan — Google review
Super! Small but take your time, there is so much to see. They feed the fish, give extra info, it's just real good! Pokémon references to keep kids interested, cool vibe, Easter hunt. Good job!
Emiel D — Google review
Something very different while your are visiting Limoges and it seemed a great idea for those who might be traveling with children. A great way to spend an hour or so and there's an opportunity to help feed the fish! Once you've paid you can leave and come back again throughout the day. Handy if the weather is changeable.
David S — Google review
This is a lovely little museum tucked away in a former underground bunker. The different tanks are well explained and there are good interactivity opportunities throughout. Our visit was not at a time when the aquarium was crowded, but I can imagine if it were any busier it would not have been as pleasant an experience. It would have been nice to have more information available about the rescue fish and turtles the aquarium takes on throughout the space, but displays were fairly informative about the fish etc in the aquarium.
Kirstie H — Google review
A wonderful Aquarium to visit ... Well priced and exceptionally clean. Staff are friendly and creatures seem happy. It is fairly small in comparison to some but we spent 2 hours here and could have stayed longer but could only find parking for 2 hours max.
Helen J — Google review
Loved this little aquarium in the heart of Limoges. You could even feed some of the fish directly into their mouths such as the koi fish. It felt very peaceful and the people working there were super friendly and informative.

Chapelle Saint Aurélien is a charming Baroque chapel located in the Le Quartier Boucherie of Limoges. This 15th-century gem is richly decorated with statues, gilded molding, and relics. It houses the relics of Saint Aurelien, the second bishop of Limoges and patron saint of butchers. The chapel is part of the brotherhood of Limoges butchers and has been classified as a historic monument.
Such a testament to the faith of the generations of French faithful to have this beautiful chapel in the middle of the old town. It is a treasure, but the modern locals seem to ignore it, so sad.
Michael B — Google review
This is a beautiful little chapel although quite difficult to find. Not large but with a very peaceful atmosphere where you can pray, or just contemplate the meaning of life. It is set in the old part of Limoges and has an amazing carved stone cross by its entrance.
Ian W — Google review
Constructed and completed in 1400's and still looking immaculate inside, very well preserved interior and exterior too.

This is such a fascinating place simply to just wander around at any time of the day. The little church is worth visiting and the whole area is amazing.

Museum
The Limoges Fine Arts Museum, located in the historical district of La Cite Saint-Etienne, invites visitors to journey back to the 18th century. Housed in the former Episcopal Palace since 1912, this scenic museum showcases a diverse collection including Egyptian antiquities, Romanesque and Gothic sculptures, and early works by artists like Renoir and Suzanne Valadon.
Brilliant 🤩 museum - a must-see!
John C — Google review
It's ok, best bit is the Egyptian art and local archeology but the rest is a bit simple. Would have been great if there was some art from the local Camille Corot but nowhere to be found 🤔 strangely. Also they could do with a nice museum cafe for coffee and cake otherwise the nearest places are expensive restaurants. It's closed between 12 and 2 another thing I find hard to get used to.

Awesome museum! The exhibits are varied and unique. We loved the porcelain exhibits the best, of course, as that is what Limoges is known for.
Cheryl S — Google review
A very nice museum, when you actually find it. Do not, do not, do not, follow Google Maps. It is appallingly signed, and I followed Google Maps for half an hour. It turned out to be from where I started yet. There are no signs and nothing to say it is the museum. So look very carefully.
Duncan P — Google review
Very nice museum which displays several themes: Ancient Egyptian collection, Limoges throughout the ages in Gallo-Roman and medieval times. And of course they also pay attention to Limoges porcelain but more in a sense of historic early pieces rather then the 19th century dinnerware, which I think is positive. The only thing I was missing were the 'stories behind items. Most items just have a title and maker but no background information on what you see or the historical context why this was made. Especially which the religious scenes shown on items such as paintings and enamel.
R — Google review
Fantastic museum, had lots of history about limoges and was very interesting. The staff member on the desk was extremely helpful to me and my partner and went above and beyond which help a lot due to the language barrier. We also got free admission as we were under a certain age. Would highly recommend visiting this museum.

A very beautiful museum on a human scale, free of charge all summer long. Beautiful enamels, superb Egyptian room which my grandchildren liked a lot, gauge which allows distance, I recommend it as a family.

Me and my 2 children aged 3&4 had the best time. Lots for them to do, pictures online dont seem to do it justice. There is a small water park there too, when we return we will bring swimmers and towels!! Throughly enjoyed the day out as did my children Highly recommended and will be going again! 14e a head from aged 3 I'd say was well worth it.
Annalise P — Google review
Great day out with the children. We went in at 10.30am and didn't leave until 5pm. Plenty to do, the water park opened in the afternoon, our 5 and 8 year old loved it. Such a nice friendly park and the novelty of being able to go on anything the children wanted without asking for more money made it a excellent value. We were able to take our own picnic in, we brought icecreams and drinks.again very reasonably priced Well done to the owners and team of staff 👏👏 In a high tech world it was so nice to find a fun, family run traditional park
Carole B — Google review
This is a great park for the kids, we have been 3 times now and my kids love it. Only 12 euros for the whole day and they can go on anything as many times as they wish. This park is right next to limoges airport so easy to find. Lovely cafe area, don't get to busy so not queuing up all day. Great for the younger kids, mine are 6 and 8 and they go on all the rides, even myself and wife dining the rides... very fun !! Take your swim wear they have a little water park too as well as animals you can see.
Chris M — Google review
Good fun day out for the family .food was lovely and not overpriced
Joanne H — Google review
Absolutely brilliant place for a family day out. €14 entry and you get to go on all the rides for that. Great fun for all the family. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Elaine — Google review
Basic , but good fun and well maintained. Had some great laughs - our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) had a good afternoon of fun. Reasonably priced and well prepared food. Please don't expect Alton towers - its not even close , but then with entry just over £10, its a worthwhile day out.
Ivan D — Google review
Great value for money for children. A lot of variety of activities, wonderful settings. Staff are extremely helpful and kind. We will definitely come back again.
Lesa B — Google review
Filling a space day before flying home my boy's 3,6 & 7 thoroughly enjoyed themselves on a sunday. It was quiet but it meant that there were no ques and the staff were happy to let them ride some things alone. It's not Alton towers or Disney land but for a tenner it's great. The boy's comment. It's amazing mum. 😃

Cool place with plenty to do for the kids. Seemed to be alot of older kids playing in the toddler area which was a bit annoying as staff didn't do much to help. Coffees from the Cafe are good too! Only concern was that it was absolutely packed when we left so not sure if there is a limit to the number of kids playing in certain areas.
