Such an amazing piece of art but I can’t believe the restaurant closed down. It’s sad to see how busy the place was about 5 years ago and now people don’t appreciate it as much. Loved the upkeeping of the place and lawns.

What a wonderful art museum close to Naval Hill, Bloemfontein. Old South African masters and contemporary art on exhibition and on sale. Beautiful gardens to wander in with the larger sculptures exhibited there. Only R10 parking fee, entrance for free in May 2025.

Saw a well curated exhibition here a few weeks ago, very knowledgeable and personable young Man TK should us around aswell. Top top experience that I didn't expect. We'll done to the curators and artists exhibiting aswell. Exciting pieces, great works of varying techniques.

The place is worth visiting. To appreciate the work of others and unwind outside, while enjoying the view of outside sculptures and the feeling of outdoors. The place could really use a restaurant or at least a cafe because, after exploring different parts of the museum personally I was worn out and needed a drink or something sweet to recharge. What I've noticed about the museum is that they give people an opportunity showcase their craft, if that is not the reason then I suppose they can do better because some pieces weren't all that if you understand what I mean. The best highlight for me was the section for blind people, yes if you have a blind friend(s) or a family member who appreciates art, then allow them to tag along! Fyi: there are cats and the ones at the back love attention #smiles

The experience was awesome because I'm an Art lover but I specialise in poetry and acting,I somehow wished one of my poems could be framed and be part of other pieces in the museum

This place was very clean and amazing saw all kind of fossils, animals and interactive stuff. Entrance fee of R10 per adult is surprisingly low for the place. Highly recommend visiting

The NMB is a nice museum to visit. The building is rational and solid, with a nice garden around. I especially liked the snake fountain. The collection is well explained in English, there is a lot of information to be learned. As a vegan person I keep uno star down because I don't appreciate the use of alive animals, like spiders and other insects, snakes and the alikes. At the entrance the cashier was very nice to me. -R!cca+

This museum was a complete surprise! For only 10 rand as an entrance fee, you can learn a lot about South Africa, the Free State, and Bloemfontein. I definitely recommend this place.

The exhibitions are not only beautiful and interesting, but very educational as well. 4 hours was not enough to absorb all there is to see and experience. A very big and special thanks to Jacob and Thomas for their EXCELLENT service and the friendly and professional way they helped us with our wheelchair when we were unable to use the elevator. I’ve been to this museum probably 50 times. It’s still one of my favorite places to visit when I get to Bloemfontein. I wish they had more funding to expand, but its still one of the best places I go to. Everyone is friendly, everything is clean and really informative. Yes there’s updates needed but you can’t go wrong with a fantastic museum. Family friendly, my favorite area is the Solar System section. Take a chance on this museum it might just surprise you!

Absolutely incredible! Well kept and organised, a wide diversity of displays and exhibits. I recommend spending at least two hours in the museum to see all the museum has to offer. Perfect place to take children to learn about natural history as well as Bloemfontein and South African history. I will definitely be back to go through the exhibits properly. Naval Hill planetarium is one of the iconic building one has to visit in Bloemfontein, it's a pity they don't have shows everyday but I think it's due to the lack of customers, the only show you can watch is on Saturday at 7:00pm and what a show, it's a must watch. While there, look out for the range animal roam around the reserve. You can take a drive to the west side and see the Mandela's statue and breathtaking views of bloomfontien city. The reserve is very famous for running and cycling as there is no entry free.

We were very worried that we would be the only people there but to our surprise it was almost full. It was an adventure to outer space that we will never forget. The show was very informative. Only getting 4/5 because one of the ladies toilets was disgusting. Not sure what else can be done on Naval Hill but there is wildlife to be seen on route to the Planetarium.

Seeing this huge Nelson Mandela statue is worth a visit and it's for free! Chilling from up high over looking the city in quietness.👌

We attended a "drive in" picnic style jazz concert, with the musicians performing on the stoep of the planetarium. The atmosphere was festive, music great, and the surroundings incredibly beautiful. My photo certainly won't do justice, but may just entice you to give the next concert a go.

Awesome experience seeing how big the solar system is. School and private groups will find it very interesting. Check out their facebook page to see next shows.

Was one of the best expiriances i have had

What a surreal experience. The sadness I felt was just something else. My people. 27k people perished during a dark time in our history. The museum looks amazing with the new look. They've done an incredible job. Absolutely 10/10. Clean, safe atmosphere, learning about new artifacts, reading new stories, feeling new emotions every time we visit. Keep doing God's work. Keep their names alive. And a final R.I.P. to the 345 Fourie souls that perished in the concentration camps, and 75 Fourie Souls on the battlefield. We are all a family, in some way or another.

An absolutely heartbreaking experience to see all the names of the people ( mostly women and children) who died in the concentration camps. The reality of it all is just so overwhelming and sad. Grounds and museum and monuments beautifully maintained.

For anyone interested in the Boer War, this is a must! A whole day is need to taking everything that is presented. The facility is extremely neat and maintained, and the displays are excellent. I am sorry I haven't visited the museum before

This is a very good museum with a lot of original exhibits, well designed rooms according to different periods of the war, and prominent people who were involved in those events. I can't say that I enjoyed it as the topic is very sad and hard - I had tears in my eyes for most of the time we were thete, but it is so well designed, presented, and preserved! Visit to this museum was certainly a highlight to our visit to Bloemfontein.

Very neat and well kept, from the grass to the top floor. Very reasonable prices too, we payed R50 in total for two pensioners and a adult. Beware that it will be an emotionally moving visit when you realize the scope and horror of the war. It is not a huge museum and you can take everything in under two hours or less. No cameras allowed inside. Bathrooms were neat and clean and there is an elevator, allthoug you would move from one hall to another by stairs.

Very bad service. Was there yesterday since it shows 24hours on a Sunday. Waiting infront of the gate for 30mins.finally a bakkie showed up and me and my family were chased away and being told it's private property we can't be there. We drove 180km from Kimberley to go there. We had to go look for another place close to bloem. Maybe we were seen as criminals bcos of our colour

The place is great, specially for animal lovers. Perfect for a location event, has play area for kids as well. I didn't like the food prepared for us but that might just be a preference issue. The road going to the place is very bad, people going there would benefit if they use off road cars.

We had the amazing privilege today of a Private Tour around Bagamoya Lion Sanctuary with the owner Botha. An unssuming man with a law degree.. His passion for his animals radiates and soon as you meet him. The Sanctuary is a safe haven for rescued animals, which means it's a NO KILL shelter, he looks after them as though they were his own children, with such passion and enthusiasm. His knowledge about each and every animal is unbelievable. He can tell you before you enter into the cages which animal will take a liking to you and which you might not. His two Cubs that you are allowed to play with I have no words to describe. Well behaved and lil bit naughty but at end of the day just want to be loved. Botha, it was and honour to meet and spend the day with you learning about these animals and I am truly humbled by the work that you and your wife do for them everyday. From the lil Cubs, to the teenagers to the older Lions as well as the Cheethas, Leopardas and Caracals. We cant wait to come and see you guys again with the progress you have made on the bird sanctuary, as well as well as all the other plans you mentioned today to me. My sister was in her element for her birthday and for that I thank you.. I cannot think of another present that will beat this one. I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you soon again This is a highly recommended Private tour with a 15/10 from me.... this far outcede my expectations and you can see by the photos.

Would give 0 stars if I could!! Do not recommend!! They are having all their animals seized due to neglect and cruelty!! So disgusting the way you treat animals!! An animal worker was killed by a lion due to neglect and maintenance of the enclosures. This situation was inevitable when you treat animals the way you do!!! How can you leave a tiger so crippled it had to crawl along the ground and now needs surgery to repair the damage from your neglect!! Stop acting the innocent when you know full well the nspca are confiscating all your animals!! It should have been done a long time ago!!

Terrible service. Website says open 24 hours, went there on a Saturday. Gate intercom doesn't work at all, numbers go straight to voicemail.

Waited at the gate to no answer and it is extremely far to go to wait at a closed gate and no response on calls. What a let down.

I dailed the number and was told that they closed down from locked down time (meaning they are already closed for 5 years).

Its a smaller garden with a dedicated hiking area. You can finish the walk in around 20 minutes. Its safe with clean toilets. I did see some weasels which was nice. Its R55 entry per adult.

I enjoyed my walk. The area is clearly marked and gives one the comfort to choose and know where they want to go.

I was at the garden on the 21st of August 2025, relaxing with my fiance, when Botanical garden employee started lawn mowing the grass with a tractor that was making a lot of dust to the nearby we were sitting on. I found it very unprofessional, inconsiderate and disrespectful for the fact that he didn't let us know that he's going to cut the grass, and we should maybe shift from we're currently sitting. He didn't consider letting us know, he just started the machine and didn't care whether the dust is coming towards us or not. But I would give the place a 5 star, I love it's serenity, tranquility and such a peaceful place. Thank you.

A hidden gem! Bloemfontein locals do not give this garden enough credit. One of the best things about it is how quite it is, when I was there, there were hardly any people. I walked 6km around the garden. The walk up the hill is a bit steep but nothing to intense, a young child will easily make it. It was such a nice place to spend my day. A perfect holiday activity for the young and old. Tip: bring a picnic basket with and have lunch in the gardens

Not worth the money Animal not well looked after and the environment is very dirty Also not a very big variety of animals The animals look depressed and not very happy! The only good thing is the nature around the animals

To make people pay entrance fee is daylight stealing. The so called zoo has no animals as 97% of the animals have been taken away. The place is now a dungeon that is not taken care of. A very dirty place. Homeless people now use thi place even to hide trolleys they steal from Checkers Westdene. I advise everyone to rather look for a better outing elsewhere.

This place is not zoo anymore. Most animals are no longer there. N thy don't even tel you what not to expect. All kids want to see big 5 when thy go there mara its only few.

It's not as clean as one would expect it to be when compared to previous years.. There are only a handful of animals one can see while visiting but overall the calming environment is great. It's too expensive for what they are currently offering.

From the lady at the gate, with the blood red eyes, who gave us discount but no tickets. To the neglect of the zoo, it was disappointing. Animal is lovely, my four year old, was impressed with the rhino's. Animals is a bit caged in, they do not look happy. Set them free. Lots of love, visitors.

I took my 3 yr old daughter, she was free and it was R65 for myself. The zoo is nice, small, the only thing was it was a Sunday so the shop/restaurant was closed but otherwise very clean place, VERY central, right next to loch Logan waterfront

Beautiful place... nature at its best, roaring lions, playful chimpanzee, the nocturnal animals looked sad... most animals look like they were rescued from harm as some have been amputated... wonderful service and wish someone could invest in that place in looks neglected or need fix up... over all good place for family fun

The establishment is closed for repairs according to a notice in the door. There were no signs of any work taking place on a normal Thursday afternoon. There was also no dates on the notice saying when the place closed and when it will re-open. Seems like the end of the road for the orchid house🙁

Rules not adhered to. People playing very loud music eventhough there is a board that forbid it and no one cares to address it. The beautiful flower beddings has turned into a place for dumping broken alcohol bottles and caps... I will not go there again or recommend it to anyone... shocked!

Planned our day around visiting the orchid house and going to Naval Hill only to find that the Orchid House does not adhere to the operating times stated and did not open at all today (Sunday 7am-5pm). Very frustrating

Very disappointing. Visited on 10th Nov 2017. Very misleading to call it an Orchid House. A few sickly orchids in plastic pots as you exit. Not worth visiting at all.

Loch Logan Waterfront Mall is generally a clean and well-organized shopping center with a good variety of stores and restaurants. But I want to warn other shoppers about a specific experience I had at a kiosk inside the mall. I stopped at a kiosk called Superior Accessories (photo attached it's near the escalators in the middle of the mall). I wanted to replace the screen protector on my phone. I asked the man behind the counter how much it costs, but he didn’t give me a price and immediately started working on my phone. I assumed it would be around R200 to R250 like most other places. I then gave him my wife’s phone as well, thinking it’s a simple job. While he was working, he kept trying to convince me to buy a phone cover and other accessories. He talks very fast and keeps you distracted. When I finally said I only want to pay for the two screen protectors, he suddenly told me the price was R750 each. I was shocked. That is way too expensive for something that normally costs R100 to R200. After an argument and nearly walking away, I ended up paying R1000 just to be done with it. They also have a small sign that says “No Refund / Exchange Only,” which tells me I’m probably not the first person this has happened to. Please be careful if you visit this kiosk. They do not give prices upfront, they try to distract you while working, and once they start, you're stuck. This is not an honest way to do business, and it’s unfortunate to find this in an otherwise good mall.

I love Waterfront Shopping Mall, it has most of the things under one roof and the largest in Bloemfontein. Situated next to the Toyota Free State Stadium and almost at the centre of Bloemfontein City. The shopping experience is marvelous with friendly environment.

This mall is outdated and a little disappointing. It needs a make over and better care must be given to accessibility to payment for parking. Why don't you have card payment facilities at the pay points? And if a card payment is available at the exit boom, why don't you notify customers at the pay point about the option? Going back into the mall, from the basemen parking to the top floor to draw cash is not fun. Come on Waterfront up your game a bit!

Really strange mall with a confusing layout that's hard to access. Who designed this place? Lots of good shops here but the property is designed for car access moreso than pedestrians. Interface with the small lake is unusual and portion of the property facing the lake has no windows and feels run down. Lake itself is poorly maintained and full of floating garbage. Seems like it is a shared responsibility between the mall owner and local government but nobody taking the initiative to keep the property clean. Very unfortunate outcome. Low quality retail experience to say the least.

The mall is stunning but the lake is a disaster dirty full of junk and waste it used to be nice and the park across the lake is rubbish dump they seriously can make a plan here.....

It’s a feeling of broken down disappointment. - listen to the road close sign, turn around. - limited (Broken Down) seating. - slides are perishing and cracking - reception is falling apart. Must pay cash en instant EFT. Not easy to entre. - held together with damaged tape. - wobbly broken access ways - exposed, no maintenance slides - be prepared to sit on bare ground. Been there, don’t think I will return.

It's a waterpark with 3 different slides. There is a swimming pool and a splash fountain for the kids. Unfortunately only open on weekends, but the R70.00 price tag for adults and R35.00 for children is for the whole day. You are encouraged to bring something for a nice braai and there are cement seats as well as canopies with shade for when you are tired of swimming. Overall a nice experience. (Pensioners are free)

The concert of Edith Pfiaf was a great success but the advertising of this event was poor. I feel ashamed that people didn't do their work by just promoting or advertise this huge event. You missed out on a beautiful concert.

Amazing experience at the SA Armour Musuem. The static displays are amazing and rare, the curator is a very knowledgeable, professional and passionate person (same could be said for most of the soldiers of the 1 SA Tank Regiment). It is completely worth the trip and home to many prototypes and unique finds.

One of the Army’s gunners took us for a tour of the base. It was December so we couldn’t see all of the exhibitions. He showed us all of the tanks outside and was really informative. The Google maps directions didnt take us to the correct entrance.

We didn't get to go inside, and was not able to reach them telephonicaly.. we drove pass a few time ...got a glimpse only. But worth the drive by. Second time lucky. Appointment necessary. So worth the visit .

Fantastic for anyone with a interested in the military, specifically in the armoured division (tanks, armoured vehicles, etc). There is also a display museum, and on request the museum curator can sometimes give tours. The only downside with the museum is the lack of funding. Some items need restoration and dire cleaning, but as said, they lack the funds for this.

The army meseum has quite a variety an an interestin history of our army. There's a variety of all the arsenal used in various wars across the years. I particularly enjoyed the tanks they were very awesome. It was an interesting experience learning about our military prowess.

Absolute gem of a small museum in Bloemfontein. If you enjoy historical architecture and SA history in general, the house, the items in it, and the fantastically presented tour are an absolute must-see.

Really a wonderful place to visit and unwind. The tour guides are absolutely and the Victorian aesthetic in the house is mind-blowing ! I will definitely be visiting again.

Wonderful to see the architecture of John Edwin Harrison. The house consists of mainly Edwardian style artifacts, tastefully decorated and beautiful wooden floors! a Must visit when in Bloemfontein

Enjoyed the tour yesterday through Freshford House Museum. Not my first time. Thats how much I love the old places. Our tour guide Shani is so informative. She is really passionate about her work there. After taking us through the house and explaining everything in such detail you really get the feeling of how the people lived in those days in places like that. Obviously it was for the more privileged people of that period. But wow, so interesting. We also walked through the English country garden which is cared for with so much love. She told us to smell the roses and boy I have never smelt roses like that before. Thank you Shani and Aphavia for taking such good care of Freshford and its visitors.

The Freshford house was very interesting to visit. The gentleman who took us on the tour through the house explained and gave interesting historical facts in all the rooms. It would be amazing if the municipality could look after all the historical buildings to enjoy.

It was an okay experience for someone whose first time it was going there. My kids enjoyed that's all that matters. Also the place is so far. I wasn't expecting it

A very nice experience. Took my boys there for a day out, was my first time there. Very accommodating for both adults and children. Affordable menu. Fresh food, although a bit disappointed that there were no wings, but understandable because its seems like a busy place. Would definitely recommend it, and will be joining them again soom

Lovely experience with with putt-putt. Kids seem to enjoy the jumping the most however it was quite busy. A little disappointed that the package was small I ever had an awesome time with the family. Great to know that there are chocolate chips plushies and cool drinks to buy As It Gets a bit hot within the area. Even has a dining area where you can buy alcohol drinks and food. See photos

Trampolines springs are worn and you almost go through them, foam pits were empty, no dodge balls, all the mats are coming off, our waiter was rude, service was slow and we jumped for 5 minutes and we left we ordered waffles 30 minutes before we were able to jump and 5 minutes after we jumped we asked if they have started with the waffles as we wanted to leave and the still hadn't started making them shocking place!!

What an absolute treasure! We were treated to an overnight stay by our family and in our opinion, every aspect of the venue is 5-star. Friendly, attentive staff. Tuscan Rose hosted a week long conference for my firm and the atmosphere of this venue is exceptional! We had 5 star quality tea and lunch and the staff is friendly and very helpful. I will recommend Tuscan Rose as a top tier conference venue!

Dont respond to whatsapps , wanted to bring in our own decor and then the owners attitude changed, she did not want to meet with our decor team and wanted to charge me a consultation fee to meet to arrange anything else very bad experience- Luckily we parted ways and we found a venue that gave us certainty and is willing to to accommodate all our needs

Had our wedding there this weekend and it was everything we could ask for. A special thanks to Veronica and her team with special notice to Eric , Frans , Anieta , Annie , Sonja , Mpho , George , Mmamotse and Andries who catered our function the weekend. From Friday ,Eric recieved us to our room, till Sunday after breakfast everything was amazing till the smallest detial. The staff were amazing profecional at all times helpful and cater to our everyneed and desire. The food , the venue was done to perfection and we could not ask for anything more. This was really a one in a lifetime experience with not one hickup. Everything was on time and perfect in everyway. Well done all and thank you for an amazing time spend at your venue. Was so looking forward to have this venue on our list for our wedding, but they never got back to us. We emailed them twice, with 2 weeks between emails, and nothing from them. We think this is very poor service, I mean if they cannot even answer an email to book a viewing, then how will they be in coordinating the actual wedding?! I would not recommend having them as an option for your wedding.

We had a celebration of one of our colleagues there. It’s a beautiful venue for all kinds of events. Beautiful gardens for pictures as well, not mention the food they serve. I recommend for weddings and parties.

This place is really just for a sleepover, but Host made up for what is lacking, his friendly way of greeting people and assistance in need was awesome.... Just need a fridge and toilets should have privacy.. Enjoyed the break fast, it was very filling and get prepared in your presence.. for that you earn 10 Stars.. the restaurant is clean and well set up, just a sorry that you can't enjoy lunch or supper..

The Sunday buffet is definitely not worth the almost R300 per person. Service started off great but declined rapidly from there. Food was only served well past one pm. When dishing i got the feeling that they felt they where doing me a favour as i begged for a second peace of chicken (at a buffet). The wrong bottle of wine was brought twice. There was not enough of the desert for everyone. We had to ask them to bring the correct bill three times before giving up and working out what we actually owed on our own. Overall the food was nice but not great, would not say the experience was exceptionally bad. But by no means was it good or pleasant. Would not recommend to others.

Warm karoo is an exquisite venue for events but dinning hall is nothing to write home about. The air conditioning system is not working and peoples table was jam-packed. You can't pass freely to go and ease yourself or grab your food at the kitchen arrangement. No usher to show you your nominated sitting arrangement even though the lists are on the wall. Imagine squeezing the His Royalty the king in a compacted area without enough aeration. It was my first experience there and I was not happy about it, unless if its because its black peoples event. The network was so bad and needs improvement with free wifi if I may say.

Beautiful venue with an equestrian feel. Various options for functions both in- and outdoor available. Excellent food and attention to detail. A bit more on the pricey side, but worth it. The road is unfortunately not very car friendly, especially when it has rained.

Lala Dene Lodge has always been my go to place for accommodation in Bloemfontein. Not only is it positioned perfectly for restaurants, and the mall but the premises itself is one for the books. Lala Dene Lodge has incredible personnel, and the latest security upgrades are truly appreciated. There is privacy and comfort. The rooms are beautiful and neat. I can say a lot about this place...It's been been my go to accommodation since 2021 so it must be quite excellent...Price, Comfort and Service⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I slept overnight, and my first impression was how safe and secure it is. Upon entering, I was very impressed. The place is very clean and neat. The receptionist was very friendly. And the breakfast was lovely. It was a bit disappointing, though, that there weren't any mats in my room, and they put a towel on the floor in the bathroom instead of a mat. I will definitely be coming back.

This is a lovely place to take kiddies.. Plenty grass to run about on. Nice playground equipment. The train ride was a great hit. Open on Sunday afternoons, and at only R5 a ride, very cheap ! We had a birthday party there- picnic and then many rides on the train- wonderful fun !

Great service. Very welcoming and warm staff. I was in room 9. I loved the bed. As someone who travels a lot, I love a good bed. The king-size bed in my room was exceptionally comfy. The rooms are specious and clean. I loved the quality of the sheets, taps, showerhead, and kitchenette. The microwave and bar fridge blend in nicely. One can tell that they're not by-the-way.

Lovely spacious place. Near the main road, mall & schools, but hidden well enough for some peace and quiet. The room I had is spacious enough to make up a bedroom and a living room. Although there was an unusually long load shedding in the morning, the WiFi & essential lights were operational. I found the wooden window frames delightful. The heavy curtains ensure that you have optimal privacy and no unnecessary light from outside. I found the breakfast menu limiting for someone who doesn’t eat pork. I also didn’t know that I had to wait for the kitchen stuff to order breakfast, I just assumed it’s a breakfast buffet, it would have been nice to have been told that in advance. If you drive a sizable SUV or truck, I’d advise you park in front, the backyard has limited space for maneuvering a big car. Great place nonetheless.

It's a really nice place and the people are very very friendly and helpful. The rooms are stylish and not over complicated. I was booked for breakfast but I was on my way long before breakfast was served so I can't comment on the food. The rooms were very big so space would not be a problem. And they have electric blankets - so nice in winter. Only problem is for the guys - if you use a blade razor and you like to shave over the basin - take a mirror, there isn't one there.

I recently stayed at a 4-star accommodation that felt more like a 5-star experience. The spacious rooms provided a luxurious feel, complemented by incredibly comfortable pillows and large bathrooms with impressive showers. The in-room entertainment exceeded expectations, offering not only Easy View options on the TV but also access to Netflix and various channels. One standout feature was the complimentary breakfast – a delightful spread featuring generous portions of bacon and eggs, along with the usual cereals and quality filter coffee. This amenity added significant value to the stay, making it ideal for both short visits and extended stays of up to 7 nights. Overall, this accommodation truly delivered a top-notch experience, proving to be excellent value for money.

Nice rooms, beautiful gardens, probably quite safe. I would rate the place a 5/5 if it wasn't for the SLOW breakfast. Mgmt micromanages the whole process which the breakfast staff struggles to handle. As a result the service is slow and, once finally served, one is happy to leave without asking for more. A petty because the breakfast experience could easily be better.

There was a mistake on my booking from my travel agent, Liedjiesbos helped me without any hesitation. The staff is wonderfully friendly, make sure you feel comfortable and at home. Wow wow and just wow! Myself and my son went there for a few nights and it was just absolutely lovely. The rooms were gorgeous, people and staff friendly. The small finer details to make you feel at home and special. It was so amazing and peaceful there as well, haven’t slept so well away from home. I enjoyed the privilege of staying for two nights thanks to a friend who booked me due to his doctoral inauguration. The name “Liedjiesbos” is most accurate, thanks to the choir of birds 🐦 🎶 😃My room was spacious with a bathroom that provided the option for bathing or showering. I appreciated the finer touches such as mebos and biscuits, coffee machine and quality soap and body cream. The indigenous garden is a feast for the eyes and whilst I did not swim due to the rain, it looked inviting. Joyce, a member of staff, is most helpful and the gift shop ensured I walked away with Christmas purchases. I Thank you!

What a special place! The gardens and grounds were stunning and filed with wildlife and birdsong. Such a treat to have a refreshing dip in the pool whilst enjoying the surroundings. The reception/dinning area were beautiful and a great space to enjoy the delightful breakfast and the room was equally lovely and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners - as a solo traveller from the UK even a short tour of the local area was provided to make the most of my trip! A must stay if you are in the area. My only complaint is that my stay was too short!

I brought a group of young aspiring tennis players on a three week tour to Bloemfontein where we stayed at Impa-Lala country Estate. The accommodation was amazing only matched by June and her team! I would find it hard to believe that there are any better country estates/guest lodges than Impa-Lala! I look forward to returning soon. Gary Muller

Perfect place to stay in Bloemfontein. We were welcome by Mathys that explained everything about our stay and made us comfortable in our accommodation. Rhyno Kriek, one of the owners, was so nice and motivated. He asked us about our trip and gave us a lot of valuable tips in order to reach Cape Town Passing through a different route. We had a pleasant stay at A Little Guesthouse. The owners were very friendly, which made us feel welcome right from the start. The self-check-in and check-out process was straightforward and hassle-free, adding to the convenience. The facilities were impeccably neat and clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, keeping us cool during a particularly hot period. Overall, A Little Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay, and we would happily return and recommend it to others!

Contact less check in and out is very simple and easy to follow. There are designated parking spaces for each room under a roof and behind a gate. The rooms also have Trellidors. The wifi was fast and stays on during power outages. There are also several battery powered LED lights in the room that turn on when the power goes out. The aircons were an absolute treat as they helped cool down the room from the 36° outside. The beds are comfortable and have enough pillows. The shower has decent pressure while the towels could have used a bit more softener. The kitchen was well equipped with a fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave and gas stove. Purified drinking water is supplied as well. The owner is very friendly and the 2 dogs will announce your arrival. Can definitely recommend this place.

Excellent setting - just off the N1, but beautiful and tranquil. Safe parking, a comfortable bed, clean linen, wwll equipped and clean apartment, coffee and rusks (plunger pot with ground coffee and 2 choices of instant coffee), clean warm shower and an efficient air conditioner. All this and decent rates. Ticks all the boxes for me. Second time here and even better than the first. Will definitely be back!

EDIT - Lovely venue however challenging to check in after 19:30. We arrived at 20:15 after notifying the owner at 16:00 that we would be later than 19:30. He lives on the property. Electricity and WiFi issues on two of the three days of our stay. Owner unavailable between the hours of 10pm and 7am if you have an emergency as the phone is off.

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse! The location is absolutely perfect – close to everything we needed, yet peaceful and quiet. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and had a cozy, welcoming feel. One of the highlights of our visit was the mini golf course – such a fun and unique touch! It added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-located getaway. We’ll be back!

At long last after this embarresment he took me to a different room than we had booked without a bath. Our reserved room was not cleaned. 7. The remarks about the relationship between me and my girlfriend were unasked for and totally out of line. Important: I am not a bum (not yet) and I am not bullied!! 8. Please keep the fee we did pay in full in advance, but please use it for some self improvenent 9. The rooms are beautiful, the whole lodge is clean and neat and the staff are friendly however... the wifi is incredibly slow and unreliable, the TV never connected and neither did the aircon. So what is covered by esthetics is loss by amenities.

The room was very clean. It also had the amenities I needed. The staff member present on my arrival had allocated me an upstairs room and could not accommodate my request for ground floor due to a knee issue.

My stay was alright. 5 nights. The only bad thing is that they made me the exact same breakfast each morning. I selected Breakfast on Sunday when I arrived and that was it until I left on Friday. On 2 of those 5 days I was given yogurt that was past its Beat Before date.

Large rooms, aircon brilliant in Bloem heat. Very friendly and helpful reception - made some changes to assure our family in three rooms had best possible rooms. Modern, neat and clean. Lots of safe parking. Wifi did not work but I did not raise it as not an issue. Very affordable for what we got. Our new first option when coming to Bloemfontein. As I always need minimum 3 rooms. What a sad experience we had at villa Vredenrust. The bath was cracked on two places. The bed linen had an odd smell. An old fridge is placed next to the bed. Fridge goes in and off, all throughout the night, with a nock sound. The swimming pool was half with dirty water. We arrived at 16:00, just in time, as workers where leaving premises. We left the following morning at 08:35. We booked through Lekkerslaap and were given the name, if I'm not mistaken, of Cecilia whom would be there to assist us in any enquiries. Sadly there was no such person, arriving nor leaving . I would give Villa Vredenrust a minus ONE.

I will love to extend my thanks to Cecilia,Melinda and Aunty Lydia for her team .It was a great experience to be at the Villa ,everyone kept raving about the anesthetic and service We were a big of 23 and they made it possible for Us Thank you so much .God richly bless 🙌

It’s now been three times I’ve stayed at Altissimo Guesthouse during the past 12 months. From the moment I’ve done my booking until my arrival everything is always so smooth. Corinne is a superb host. Few hours prior to arrival I always receive a very detailed WA with all access arrangements, codes, where to find the keys, room name, breakfast timings, wifi codes etc. The rooms are very spacious and some have the most beautiful views. Breakfast was good and Anna makes the best omelettes. The security and access measures they have in place makes a person feel safe during your stay. I will definitely when I visit Bloem again, stay at Altissimo Guesthouse again… and again.

So enjoyed our stay at Altissimo. The standard of the accommodation surely matches the name... The location is perfect, our suite ( we were upgraded) was majestic. We were received by Corinne and she went out of her way to make our stay super. Will definitely go back without any doubt.

I was a photographer at Altissimo for my clients event. I went to Altissimo the day before the event to check out the place. On arrival, you are greeted by the main gate onto the property. If you're a client, you will have the pass code, if not, you have to call the number on display. After entering you will get to gate number 2 and use the same pass code as gate 1. After entering the last gate, you are greeted by a double storey mansion on the hills with stairs that looks like its gona take you to heaven from one of the parking areas. So, it was my 1st time there and I really liked the place. The lady at reception was very friendly. The place is beautiful and clean. The rooms I saw are fit for any President. I know it sound like I'm getting paid to write this review, but that's not the case. This guesthouse deserve the accolades it got and those that will follow. I'm not sure if they have a spa, but if you really need one, Bloem spa is just a stone throw away. And if you not satisfied with their beautiful garden, Free State botanical gardens is also a 5 minute drive away. So in short, you will get your money's worth by booking your stay at Altissimo Guesthouse. Oh! And they also host events. From private parties to weddings. The only reason I did not give it an overall 5 star rating, is because I believe nothing is perfect. And leave room for improvement. Good bye. 😁😁😁

What a wonderful experience! Had to travel and landed up spending a night in Bloemfontein. Very happy I got to spend it here. The house is themed and each room shares the theme. The rooms are lovely and spacious, and CLEAN! As are the bathrooms. I love the fact that the bath was big and I could take a lazy bath by candle light. And then I slept like a baby thanks to the super comfortable bed. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The place is owned by a lovely family. That is quick to help where they can. I would recommend 2 nights here as 1 is not enough.

I loved the themed room idea. The detractors were a nasty smell from the bathroom on the ground floor. The kitchen was wholly under resourced - with little to no cutlery. It was also terribly dirty (the floor and one disgusting fridge). Upstairs toilet filled with potpourri would not flush and no support from the owners to resolve the issue. I was dissatisfied enough to NOT recommend this place.

Absolutely disgusting service! Booked and paid for accommodation in April, drove 400km to check in, and was simply told on our arrival we don't have room for you, we will refund you...suffice it to say...there was no accommodation available elsewhere with the Springbok game on. Clearly, there is a lack of good management, so imagine the facilities & stay would be much the same. Still no refund either....

We went here for Valentines Day and the evening was amazing! The food was absolutely exquisite and the service even better. The guy playing the trumpet was also perfect for a romantic evening. We did not sleep there although my guess is that rooms would also be up to great quality and standards. What a nice evening to unwind. I look forward to attending more events here in the near future.

If it was possible to go no stars I would have. Their staff is very pathetic, I struggled for a week to recieve requested information from them and every time that I call I was made false promises. At no point was I directed to the right person that could finally help me. If you ever wanted to host an event there don't waste your time.

Very very clean, modern and beautiful. Some of the stuff are friendly. From a person who stayed for a month at this place. I realized that their stuff treat people depending on who they are. Owner is a very understanding and a reasonable man, once you experience any problem, request to talk to the owner.(I hope someone told me this before)

What a delightful, quiet, restful & quaint establishment. Beautiful room with garden view. I absolutely enjoyed the in-house Dinner Special of 300g Wagyu Steak at the very reasonable price of R179 pp (incl side dish & beverage). Great & friendly service from staffers Tshepo & Prudence. A hidden gem in the City of Rose's crown methinks. Wish I could stay for longer than overnight. Will definitely return.

This place is not easy to find. Google maps take you to the following street.Rooms are not comfortable, and linen is not the right size for the bed,as a result, you need to keep on tucking the fitted sheet. Breakfast not included in the price biggest turn off.I was really disappointed because their rates were very expensive for not including breakfast.

What a comfortable room. Some small niggles that detacts from giving 5 🌟. Food was good, as expected for a South African, bacon, egg susage breakfast. Service was warm and friendly. Would certainly recommend Belmont - value for money.

It was my 1st visit at Belmont guesthouse and I loved everything about it, the place is beautiful and secured, it was like another home from home. The stuff were very professional knows how to treat client and have a very sense of humor when talking to clients. I can recommend this place to every person, friends, family, and colleagues

They are truly 4 stars in terms of Ubuntu compared to Capetonian hotel in Capetown I visited 2023-09-30 till 2023-10-05 which is actually a one star hotel.

Always staying here for out business trips, they have trucks park there at night which is a little disturbing in the middle of the night, but it only happened once in the 3years ive been visiting here.

What a disastrous guest house. Firstly I booked room 2 specifically as it has a bath, the booking was confirmed in writing for room 2. My wife is disabled and cannot use a shower so I always ensure we book a place with a bath. The owner took it on herself to change our booking to room 5 without letting me know or discussing it with me. We arrived at 20:30 to discover the change and the fact that the room only has a shower. So after spending 10 hours in a car my wife went to bed without being able to wash. I contacted the owner who told me it's my fault as I did not do a special request for a bath. Well I did book a specific room and I did receive confirmation that the specific room was booked for me so I do not see how not doing a special request for a bath is my fault when you change my booking without notifying me. Now to the rest of the room, the lock on the entrance door was broken and we could not lock the room. And this is located in a statistically high crime rate area, thanks for the safety...not. the toilet seat was not correctly installed it sat over to one side of the bowl to the extent that it wobbled, not great for a person that has a damaged foot and can't brase themselves. Then when I went out the next morning to pack the car I notice that the side of the unit has scrap metal and junk piled up against the wall the entire length of it, I wonder what rats etc that may house. Finally the attitude of the owner leaves much to be desired. Apart from blaming me for not specifically putting in a special request for a bath, she did not even come see us face to face to try resolve anything, all I got was a couple of phone calls and some WhatsApp message's. Do yourself a favour and skip this place there are other places that seem better for less money in the area.

Very nice place to stay there. The price was affordable and the rooms was clean. The bed was comfortable and we had slept well as if I was in my own home. The owner was pleasent and respectful. I will be returning there the next time we are in town. Thank you for making us feel at home .

Good atmosphere, it makes you feel at home. The vibes are cosy and there is everything you need to accommodate for a weekend. The bathroom could use a bit of an upgrade but the place was clean and tidy. It was also great to have DSTV. Good overall.

Lovely place to stay with everything you need. The place was neat and clean, and very well priced. They make good provision for loadshedding and Fred was very helpful in suggestions for places where we could get food, as we got to Bloemfontein only towards 8pm.

I had a great night. The place was well fitted. Big TV + DStv, fridge (with ice), kettle, coffee + sugar, chairs, Blankets, safe parking, generator during loadshedding.

Our Family stayed over for one night on the 31st March ...what a surprisingly relaxed, enjoyable, pleasant experience. The accommodation was superb! The Host, more than helpful. The facilities -- couldn't find fault at al! Would definitely recommend this for any stop over (one night or longer)

The selfcatering unit has all the facilities one could hope for. The shower has a nice strong flow and (in winter) the hot water was just the right temperature to not need cold water as well for a very relaxing shower.

Won't be back. Very poorly maintained. The rooms did not feel refreshing nor clean. Given 3 towels for a family of 4. Towels were worse for wear and stained and did not smell clean or fresh. We slept on top of our own bedding. Parking will be an issue if you are wanting safe and secure parking and the place is full.

Look, this is a case of "you get what you pay for". This place is dirt cheap because it's dirt. Don't be fooled, the pictures provided does not resemble reality, even in the slightest. Our room had a single and double bed. We had to move the double bed right up against the single bed in order to get in the bathroom door, which means we couldn't move between the beds. Single bed was totally decrepit, and the double bed's mattress so worn, that after an hour nap, we ended up more tired than before. Of the five staff we encountered, one didn't speak at all, one didn't speak very much English and struggled to understand us, one didn't get up off the couch or looked up from his phone when speaking to us, one walked around in his underwear/maybe some form of swimming trunks (we're not sure what he was wearing) while dealing with guests and screamed at other staff in front of us, and one was the only one that should be allowed to speak to guests (sadly he is also the last one we met, so damage was already done with first impressions and all that). Rooms were decrepit overall. Room that the family stayed in had a door to the pool that couldn't lock. Everything's was old, worn and dirty looking. After our afternoon "nap", we packed and left. Didn't stay the night we paid for as my partner was certain his back would not survive another night on that mattress.

We stayed at this place on Wednesday, 23rd July, and were very disappointed. The property was extremely dirty—the bathroom was a mess, and all the doors in our rooms were broken. At the very least, the place should have been cleaned, but it clearly hadn't been. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The blankets were in such poor condition that I can't even describe them—fortunately, I always travel with my own. Bookings.com must remove from the list.

This place is definetly false advertising.The pictures on web page don't look anything like the rooms we stayed in. The towels were old rags. Linen was grubby and place is very noisey due to thin walls.Not self catering at all and bar not even stocked.Our door was broken so could not lock for the whole week after telling us they would fix it.Staff are not the greatest.We were there for a week and all complaints were not dealt with. Definetly get what you pay for. Dirt cheap but grubby and dirty place Not recommended by me and my 3 friends. Bedrooms on photos look great until you open the door and step inside.

The manager and staff are so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel so welcome. Beautiful and clean. We really feel at home, and I will highly recommend this place to anyone 👌

The water was cold 2 days mind you I was traveling with newborn, the heater is not working and sheets are old we were not given wifi password but I understand maybe the guy who was helping us was overwhelmed by work the, the cupboards are old some are not even stable otherwise would not recommend this place

The linen is torn, theres mould in the bathroom and we could write in the dust. So wont recommend at all.

Very disappointed. On arrival the place was a mess. Papers flying around, dustbin was full and braai area was full of old ashes. After paying R1000 for the braai area. The owner or manager told us after complaining that she is sorry that we have such high standards. Place does not even deserve a 1 star!

Had part of my bachelor's here. The owner/manager was very friendly and had lots of ideas for some interesting game play. The area is smallish but loads of places to hide and ways to sneak up on the enemy. High quality weapons and well priced. There's even a quiet pub where one can grab a soda and chat about the great time you had afterwards. When it rains a lot don't come here with a low profile car — the road is terrible (it was at the end of March 2018 at least — might be fixed by now).

Wonderful place also this one.. The owner or care taker must just secure the dogs there because there's lots of them but the area itself nd the design wow its marvelous... I enjoyed a lot there its a great place

A nice place to play a bit of paintball. The fields is unique with many options to choose from. You just have to make a booking before you go and take along alot of cash.

We were just passing through Bloemfontein we had our caravan with us and the owner assist us with perfect overnight parking. Recommended restaurant. He was even willing to assist with late arrival as we scared we would not make arrival time. He was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here and would definitely be staying here again. The room was very cleaning and comfortable. Close to nice restaurants.

Absolutely stunning guesthouse with what felt like an almost magical garden. Stayed here with my 2 year old daughter. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was SO comfortable. The Owners are lovely people and did everything possible to accommodate us and to ensure our stay was enjoyable! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definately visit again! Thank you!

This is my go-to guesthouse when I stop over in Bloemfontein. The facilities are excellent and the Kimg room is luxurious and has a very comfortable king-size bed. Definitely value for money. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and make you feel welcome and at home on arrival. The clincher for me is that they are also situated near Bester Butchery so I can stock up on the best Geelvet biltong in the country.

There was a smell in the room that I didn't like. The was super nice and she took good care of us. Breakfast was delicious, and the setup was great

Beautiful place, warm welcome from the guy at the reception and very helpful, However the place need to have someone on side to assist guest especially in the mornings to help with essential things. Our stay left a very bad impression about the place after our encounter with the lady who owns the place, no regards for what so ever for her guests, my sister greeted her and gave her a bad look and did not bother to respond back. We had to beg her to move her car in order for us to enter the place which she took her time to do so, which was very rude and unprofessional. She need to understand the nature of her business and how to behave around customers.

I was there 2weeks ago i have seen Ehrlich Park Lodge on Google and when i call the lady was very friendly when we arrived we received great service the rooms and the whole premises are very neat and secured you would get your own key to the main gate and the breakfast very delicious really worth for your money

Place still needs alot of work in terms of the interior of the rooms. Bedding definitely needs an update, plug by the side of the bed sparked the whole night, had to switch it of... Needs to install wifi and get rid of the open view hd and use dstv... Paid for breakfast but only had breakfast there once and we had a 3night stay... The food was blend and the juice tasted like water with a dash of some guava

1. They only have 3 family rooms incase u are traveling with children 2. Otherwise the place is clean & the Gentleman working there was very kind. 3. I will recommend it to others.

Dis place does not deserve 3 stars. My friends booked here via phone and told them they can pay on arrival but when they arrived there booking was not there and they dont even want to help you find some where els to sleep. Dis is very unprofessional and would never come here again and recommend you to look elsewhere.

We were in a bit of a pickle. We needed place to sleep with out dog for the night. At firstl we couldn't find any available animal friendly guesthouses. But the owner called us and said we can stay there. The tarrifs is in a great pricerank for what you receive. This place is truely a hidden GEM!!!

Driving from PTA to CPT and was the only guest house willing to receive me after hours due to delays on my side and it was during load shedding by them. Apart from this; lovely big rooms, acceptable rates, great food and friendly hosts! 5/5 would stay over again!

We broke down on the N1 and managed to find Emtonjeni Country Lodge. Henry the owner was so helpful and kind, taking us to the Avis to hire a car so we could make our flight from Joburg. Such a lovely place and the garden is fabulous with many bird species. Thank you Henry!

The establishment is neat, clean and in a very safe and quiet area. The host communicated effectively. I am, however, disappointed that I had expected "cottages" as the name had suggested but it was literally just standard rooms and the wall between the rooms was SO thin that we could literally hear every single thing that the other guests were doing in the other room and I am sure it was the same for them too. This was incredibly unbearable at night when trying to sleep and the guests in the other room were still laughing and chatting and just basically having fun because it just felt like we were all in one room. So I'd say the establishment is great for overnight stay but not for anything longer. WiFi was also working great upon arrival but became a problem with more guests on the premises - thus getting work done became difficult and impossible.

No complaints... ok maybe one. Wifi has not back up power. So when eishkom goes "kwaah".... you're in the dark with no wifi. Better make sure you have lots of data... and hope your network connection is decent.

Wonderful, neat and clean. We had a great experience in this stylish and comfortable cottage. However my rating reduces by 3 stars as I still cannot get hold of the owner who could not provide me with a receipt of payment since the 1st of March. Numerous promises were made and from a business perspective this cannot be accounted for on my side as I do not have the receipt to submit the required claim. This was just poor service and to date all messages, and calls are ignored. Awesome place but very poor communication and business etiquette.If you are staying there on business, be careful as you may not receive any receipts or invoices for your stay.

Very bad experience. I will never think to stay there as an International traveler. Owner has not any sense to how to behave with guests. They providing food from outside, but it is not sure that they provide sure thing which you ordered. If you order Cheese and tomato sandwich they will mostly provide you sandwich with pork and if you will complain about it then must ready to hear a awkward reply from Owner that is "I can not do anything I ordered the same thing which you told me". Then you should be ready to sleep with empty stomach if you are vegetarian. Therefore, whole thing is that owner doesn't want to take food responsibilities of your choice while he provided the menu of different food suppliers and you ordered from there. Room services are also not good. If you are staying for few days, room service will available at 2-3 days interval in a week. If anybody wants to face these problems then can go there but I will never prefer anyone. In this pandemic situation there is no sanitization of rooms and dinning area which can make you more susceptible to be infected.

It's sad to say people in this place are unprofessional,disorganized,dishonest and crooks. I reserved to sleep for a night on the 18th of January 2025 via Booking.com(Whom I wonder why they still advertise this place on their site). I followed and did everything needed to stay in their place,did my booking paid on the 15th timeously only for this place to cancel my booking midnight on th 17th whilst I was enroute knowing I had a place to sleep.Reason being water disruptions and directed me to cancel my booking with full refund.Needless to say it's 2 months they still haven't refunded me.I have being calling a thousand times with one story to another,from one person to the next. The last straw is this lady(Supposed Manager) is the conveyer belt of lies...called me on Saturday 22nd March(after I threw a fit 2 days prior to this)to say the accounting department has paid my refund back and I should check on my account. It's Monday 24th still no sign of my refund,I called asked for POP midday,which she promised to send...nothing.Called again to say hey where is the POP 4 hours later.She decided not to come to the phone.2 full months running around asking for my money as if I borrowing.Imagine having to still go somewhere without an idea where you to sleep,personlly needed to make last minute reservation somewhere else(unnecessary costs),stress that what I don't find a place.What if the fee will be so high due to last minute booking,having traveled over 600 kilometers. Still beg and wait months for a refund.I will never ever consider this place for nothing.

Me and my entire team stayed at the lodge fo weekend during an event we held in bloemfontein. The staff were friendly and catered to our every need. The rooms were clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed after a long day.

1. 2. First day sheets was dirty, Shower is nice but the water is all over the house place . The blinds were not fully closed,I felt like there is no privacy on that room. . Unfair behavior, I’ve booked jaccuzi for 2. N the lady said it can be Saturday @ 12:00 nd checked out that day. I explained to her that we have to drive back home. She said 12 is the only time that they have. We stayed around and 12:00 we went back to the lodge and I found the receptionist with 2 people. They tell me that they have booked another 2 people for spa on the same time they will speak to the couple i can wait outside they will tell after 5 minutes then I went outside like she told me. After 5 minutes I went inside because she never returned to me like she said. I found no one at the reception.my husband even asked is the lady running away now because I was just standing there without anyone assist me he kept on looking at the time because we have to drive back. After few minutes the other lady passed and she asked if were assisted i explained everything to her and she said I can check reply on WhatsApp and they said they will have to move mine to 13:00. We couldn’t wait anymore because it was late and to think what if they made a mistake again Unfair treatment.unfair behavior they couldn’t face me anymore that’s why they replied on WhatsApp.

Our two bed room didn't have a proper bathroom, the room was just devided with a glass wall (that was not going up to the seiling) to make a bathroom... Not very convenient. Otherwise the bed was pretty comfortable.

Stayed over for one night! The room was lovely with a great spa bath! Friendly and helpful staff! The breakfast was delicious! Coming again next time to try the spa!

We had the best experience. What an absolute gem, everything was absolutely amazing!! Room was extremely clean and spacious. The host was absolutely amazing and communicated with us throughout. We loved the complementary that came with the room “the sherry, brownie etc..” it just made it even more cosy. 
The breakfast was super delicious and filling and loved the idea of having it prepared already in our room and you can pretty much eat anytime that suits you.

I LOVED staying at this guest house and will stay here again. The rooms are welcoming, stylish and are decorated beautifully. This is a fantastic guest house with immaculate rooms, spotlessly clean and great attention to detail. Breakfast is tasty which you eat at your leisure on the patio outside your room. Parking is safe and the area is quiet with many options to eat within a few kilometres.

No curtains in bathroom, bedding was old and teared, you can hear your neighbors (no privacy) drinking, vomiting and moving around in their room, , 2 Ricoffy sachets and 2 cremore... No tea or other coffee. No hand soap, or shower soap or shampoo... Yust 2 small bar soaps. TV only has utube.. No TV channels. Bedside lamps cannot connect to plug. Kettle must stand on floor to boil. No glasses to drink from. Parking is for 2 cars only. They ask you to move your car if it is in the way of another car... Any time of the day/night. They will never see me again

We were there my hubby and 1 year old son. Beautiful premise! Neat, tidy and quiet to relax. Even my son was happily walking outside and inside the room. We all loved the place and the reception in our room . The owners were caring and non judgemental. We will definitively come back there when we go to Bloemfontein again. I wish if all the guests houses were like that.

Wonderful room, neat ,tidy and spotless. This is a very good converted double garage, thoughtfully done. Bathroom not 'all the way to the roof ' .Outside braai area is clean but poor and dark. Kitchenette quite adequate. Undercover parking is great and safe behind the gate. Very pleasant stay.

We loved our stay in the Rustic Forest! It's so quiet and relaxed, it has reliable wifi and well equipped kitchen, great aircon and huge bed - everything that you need. One note about the shower: if you have long hair, you might struggle a bit to wash it as the water pressure is not too high. Otherwise very comfortable and beautiful little spot!

What a pleasurable experiance here at Rustic Forest Guesthouse. The room was spacious, super clean, comfy and the owners made me feel so welcome. I can recommend this guesthouse for anyone wanting the option to relax after traveling or to return to after doing business here in Bloemfontein. Clean and comfortable. The Nespresso was a winner. Friendly host, lovely gardens and secure parking. Only issue was we could hear the people in the adjacent unit.

Pierre and Melanie are absolutely amazing hosts and human beings. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Spacious and comfortable rooms....absolutely loved our peacock decor room....my favorite of all times. Then off course there is the French poodles, they are soo friendly. Truly made us feel so at home. The Cape Dutch style in the middle of the Free State is absolutely magnificent. Well done. Will stay with you again any day. Jaco and Adéle

What an incredible experience it was. Fantastic reception by the host and hostess and food that I last had when my Mom an excellent chef , still lived. The facilities were more than 5 star , quiet and safe.

Best place in Bloemfontein to overnight. You guest Pieter usually go out of his way to cater for your needs. Highly recommended.
