Coffee shop
Lemon and Mint is a bakery in the historical district of Segovia that specializes in ponche segoviano, a rich, lemon-infused sponge cake coated with marzipan and topped with icing sugar. The cookie shop also offers a variety of refreshing cafés.
We ended up here because the famous Pastelería El Acueducto was closed for holidays, but it turned out to be a great decision. Our goal was to try the traditional Ponche Segoviano, and the one offered at Limón y Menta is truly among the best. Perfectly balanced, with just the right sweetness and texture. Another plus is that they offer the cake in different sizes, making it easy to take home or enjoy on the spot. A must-stop for anyone who wants to taste one of Segovia’s most iconic desserts.
Q G — Google review
The ponche de Segovia was delicious. We were too full from our lunch so we decided to split one ponche between the four of us. We didn’t expect to like it so much, we felt we could have eaten a half portion each. Definitely recommend the Ponche de Segovia. We also had the cocas de piñones, pine nuts pastry. It was ok, not bad. We did a take away since the place was stifling with heat even if this was in October, probably a lack of ventilation. There were tables at the back but it didn’t seem to be too clean, maybe because it was the end of the day. Service was so so too - we weren’t attended too for a bit of time. There were 3 of us who had to try to get their attention. Maybe it was end of day and they were tired. Overall, the ponche is recommended. I would return for their ponche and do a take away again and sit at the benches at their Plaza Mayor to enjoy it.
Anna M — Google review
Crowded place with lot of tourists. Tried the Ponche Segovia dish which is the famous one from here. It was indeed tasty! Go for this place if you want to quickly try some local delicacies, but be prepared to wait in line.
Sujay S — Google review
This place smells as amazing as it looks. Everything seems delicious. We got the ponche and florones. We got the chocolate one - delish! They had a cafeteria in the back as well to sit and eat which was nice. The worker there was great in handling our allergies. She packed the dessert separately to avoid any cross contamination of nuts.
Natalie T — Google review
I tried the typical ponche Segoviano with a coffee. Very nice pastry! Lovely waitress Maria. It all of a sudden got very busy!
Carol M — Google review
Tried the famous Ponche Segoviano at Pastelería Limón y Menta — a bit too sweet for me. Same for the lemon sorbet, but at least the sour kick was refreshing!
C T — Google review
Was dying to try the ponche segoviano but didn’t want to try one whole, huge piece this was luckily sold in very small pieces in this shop. The lady serving us was friendly (though got queue jumped by a Spanish family when though we were next in line!!) . The cake was small but rich and nice.
C R — Google review
So I was a bit weary of this place due to the reviews of service but luckily we had no issues. We had 2 ladies at the counter and the one who served us was nice and answered our questions. Wesat at the back for a break during the rain and I got to try my Ponche dessert which was sweet but nice to try. If this dessert intrigues you, give it a try. We also got a pastry and coffee as well.

Restaurante La Concepción is a classic and family-friendly restaurant situated in the heart of Segovia, right on Plaza Mayor. It offers a lively atmosphere and features a terrace where guests can enjoy their meals while taking in the vibrant surroundings. The restaurant is known for its affordable and simple lunch options as well as sit-down evening meals. One of its standout dishes is the octopus with white sauce, which has been highly praised by visitors.
One of the best meals of my travels by far. Elegant and so simply sophisticated. A classic and not touristy at all if you are looking for that. Ask for the red peppers off me ur simply served. Lemon sorbet with cava - incredible but off menu. Loved every second.
Marcia K — Google review
Certainly, here’s a scathing and detailed review: I had high expectations for La Concepción in Segovia, but my visit was a complete disappointment. To start, the food was bland and uninspired. The supposed “signature dish,” a roasted pork belly, arrived with a soggy, rubbery skin instead of the crispy crackling you’d expect. The accompanying vegetables were overcooked to the point of being mush, and the sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can. The service was equally abysmal. Our server seemed indifferent, bordering on rude, and acted as though we were inconveniencing them by being there. It took over 20 minutes just to get our drink order, and another 40 minutes for the food to arrive—even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. The portions were laughable. I ordered a main course, but the serving size would barely qualify as an appetizer. My partner’s meal wasn’t much better—three small ravioli on a plate with a sad sprinkling of cheese. And the prices? Outrageous. For two mains, a bottle of mediocre wine, and a shared dessert (which, by the way, was a rock-hard slice of “homemade” cheesecake), we paid over €120. For that price, I’d expect Michelin-star quality, not what felt like a reheated meal from a chain restaurant. Save your money and your time—there are far better dining options in Segovia that don’t rely on inflated prices and a reputation that is clearly undeserved. Avoid La Concepción at all costs.
Tssi L — Google review
Restaurante La Concepción offers a delightful dining experience. During our family lunch in the first week of January 2024, we enjoyed a variety of appetizers that showcased a range of flavors and textures, setting a positive tone for the meal. The main course, a perfectly cooked steak, was the highlight of our dining experience. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Although I can’t recall the names of the appetizers and dessert, they were both delicious and complemented the meal well. The service was attentive and friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience.
Jonathan P — Google review
My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch on a Thursday in late March, it had been recommended on a blog about visiting Segovia. I loved the plaza location where we could watch a farmer's market and we had a view of the Cathedral we had just toured. We sat out on the patio because there was no wait for a table versus inside. While it was chilly, the server went around turning on the heating stoves, which made it very pleasant. We had some delicious crusty bread as a starter, each a bottled water, and entree. We were close enough to talk to people at the table next to us and our food was quite tasty. Our total was US $65
Chelsea D — Google review
This restaurant deserves 5 stars for the simple reason that it's one of the few restaurants which serves food between 4 and 6 in the afternoon. If you missed the lunch windows, there aren't many places available, but this is one of them. It is true that it was more expensive and the service could have been a little more friendly, but the food was good and the view over the central Plaza made it worth it.
Radu C — Google review
We ordered a bottle of wine. Asked for a menu and never saw a waiter again. Beautiful space but terrible service. Even though we tried to converse in Spanish, we were only received with rudeness.
Randy H — Google review
Restaurante La Concepción offers a truly serene dining atmosphere that immerses you in a peaceful ambience. Imagine being surrounded by the delightful chirping of birds and distant church bells, creating a tranquil backdrop for your meal. It's the perfect place to unwind with a glass of rich red wine. During our visit, we were drawn in by the charming setting after exploring the nearby cathedral. I opted for the Pipito Bocodillo dish, which was a delightful combination of flavours complemented the warm, freshly baked bread. The steak meat was cooked to perfection, tender, and juicy. My uncle savoured the mixto sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed. As we dined, I indulged in two delicious cappuccinos, all while taking in the picturesque views. The attentive staff at Restaurante La Concepción added to the overall experience, providing friendly service and displaying remarkable efficiency. Their patience, especially with my limited Spanish skills, was greatly appreciated. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines relaxation, exquisite food, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurante La Concepción in Segovia. Every dish we tried was consistently delicious. The pulpo braseado was tender and flavorful — perfectly cooked with that melt-in-your-mouth texture. The chipirones a la plancha were also excellent, fresh and beautifully seasoned, simple yet truly satisfying. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service felt genuine and attentive. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy, and really taste the quality in every plate. Highly recommended when visiting Segovia. ✨🍽️

Restaurante El Soportal Pedraza is a hidden gem that perfectly captures the essence of this enchanting medieval town. With its cozy atmosphere and rustic charm, it invites you to indulge in traditional dishes, particularly their renowned wood-fired roasted lamb. Located in the vibrant Plaza Mayor, where the surroundings transform into a lively wooden bullring each September, it's an ideal spot to unwind with a glass of vermouth or coffee after exploring the picturesque streets.
We had the menu for 2, €32.00 PP. Very good food and good friendly service even though it was very busy at the bar and upstairs in the restaurant. Good value for money in a beautiful ancient setting. 😍😋 Good wine and coffee. Definitely worth the visit, book in front so as not to be disappointed!

Restaurante El Soportal in Pedraza, Spain, is an absolute treasure. Nestled within the breathtaking charm of this medieval villa, the restaurant's cozy ambiance is a true delight. What truly makes this dining experience remarkable is the impeccable attention lavished upon every guest. The staff's dedication to ensuring an unforgettable visit is commendable. And as for the food, it's nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish served here is a culinary masterpiece that transports your taste buds to another world. This is a gem! It is a rare find in the countryside of Northern Madrid, found in a converted medieval town. The food is absolutely spectacular!

Awful place. We had a reservation at 15:30, they didn't seat us until 16:00, and didn't immediately bring the menu. Then we had a vegetarian and a vegan in the group, asked what they could eat. Their answer? "There is the menu". They ended up eating the salad, which was lettuce, tomato, and raw onion. The service awful, everything awful. Will never step in this place again. The wine from the house pretty bad as well.

Located in the heart of the old town, La Colonial offers a typical Spanish vibe with its vibrant red interior. The café provides ample seating on two stories and outside, ensuring a relaxing experience even during busy times. Visitors can savor delicious treats like chocolate cake and cafe con leche while soaking in the local atmosphere. The menu features delectable options such as apple pastry, bread, tortilla espanola, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice - all freshly made and served by courteous staff.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast on my day trip to Segovia! Staff was very friendly. Food and drinks were top notch and fairly priced. Definitely recommend!
Ethan A — Google review
I recently visited a cozy cafeteria just steps away from the iconic Aqueduct in Segovia. I ordered a coffee, a croissant, and a slice of cake, all for a reasonable 6 euros. The quality of the food and drink was impressive-fresh, tasty, and satisfying. If you arrive around 9 AM, you’ll find a calm and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a hot drink and a quiet start to your day. However, by 10:30 or 11, the place fills up quickly and becomes quite lively and noisy, so plan your visit accordingly. Overall, this spot is a great choice for a relaxed breakfast or coffee break in a prime location. I’d recommend coming early to make the most of the tranquil vibe before the crowds arrive

Great coffee and bakery options
Deepali M — Google review
I was there three years ago and my experience was really good actually. We had hot chocolate and bread with ham and cheese and also croissants. It was good. We choose to stop in a cafe but didn't think that this cafe would be like the cafes in France so we weren't expecting to have "special" attention from the workers. They just ask what you want and bring your order.
Thais C — Google review
The young Spanish waitress refused to take our order the first time as we had only decided on the drinks and not yet the food and she wanted to take everything at once. When after 2 minutes we decided on the food too, she kept us waiting, waited other tables around us, ignored our waiving and only ran up to us when we stood up to leave. When we told here we were about to leave she sneered 'oh that's perfect, bye'. Not the politest waitress ever, hence 1 star. Of course the location is nice, and perhaps the food and drinks too but Im not able to judge that.
Tabitha G — Google review
Decent place for breakfast. One negative note is the cappuccino! They served it with a lot of caramel on it and still pretend to call it cappuccino. I would advise at least to first ask about adding it, or clearly mention it on the menu what they mean by "cappuccino".
Davide — Google review
Apple pastry, bread, tortilla española, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. All delicious and freshly made. The pastry and the bread were very well made. The staff was courteous and efficient.
Catherine F — Google review
Want good service? Go somewhere else. Waitress avoided us, and when a table next to us stood up and left she looked frustrated. Maybe it’s not her fault, maybe its the owner’s who just put one worker for all tables

Cafe
La Tropical is a popular spot conveniently located on the road leading up from the aqueduct to the cathedral in Segovia. The restaurant offers traditional chocolate and churros, allowing visitors to experience local flavors. Guests can also enjoy an American breakfast with eggs, ham, and bread or opt for evening meals at normal times, unlike many other places in the area. The friendly staff provides attentive service whether you're stopping by for a meal or just some tapas and beers in the afternoon.
A nice place for breakfast! I love the lovely scene where people are sitting there talking to each other. The huevos fritos with jamon are not bad. When you order churros, they don't come with chocolate. The orange juice is pricey but is really fresh and big. And It's close to the acueducto.
Vanessa W — Google review
This place is mostly for locals as the staff seemed to know their customers. We were excited to eat at a truly local place as we had done in many other towns in Spain. However, the service was abrupt, not very friendly - probably the least friendly restaurant during our 5 week vacation in Spain. We ignored the reluctant and inattentive staff attitude and refused to let this bother us while we were on vacation. There were only a few tables occupied as we went a little past 2 pm and the people had left by the time we started ordering. Food wise, the torrija was pretty yummy. We ordered too much for the mediocre quality of the rest of the food. This is in comparison to the other restaurants we’ve been to. I would return for the torrija. Nothing else.
Anna M — Google review
Unfortunately, the service at La Tropical in Segovia felt unwelcoming, especially for non-locals. The staff seemed indifferent, making it difficult to get served. The quality of the snacks was underwhelming—torreznos were chewy rather than crispy, and other items lacked care in preparation. On top of that, pricing felt inconsistent, with unexpected charges for each item. Overall, not the best place if you’re looking for good service and well-prepared snacks.
Stéphane S — Google review
Nice little coffee shop at the entrance of segovia. I think this is a great stop to grab a hot coffee after you the see the aqueduct and before you venture further into the city.
Andrei W — Google review
I visited this place with my family and partner and I really liked the atmosphere and the female waiter was very friendly. We had a fantastic experience and I recommend this place to have traditional chocolate and churros like a local. I also liked that you can add the sugar yourself or have it without, something important in these times when sugar reduction on the diet becomes relevant.
Suberri M — Google review
Perfect churro! Not too sweet Perfect choco latte And not that friendly servers
Hyunkyung H — Google review
Waiters/bar staff need to understand that when a toddler is having a melt down and the bill has been requested, give the parent the bill ASAP. It is a bit like having a drunk person bothering other customers in the place and saying, "naaaaah. We'll let them continue bothering our clients instead of dealing with it." I stood at the bar and asked three times before it was dealt with. Meanwhile, a couple at a booth were like, "I don't know why they don't take the baby outside?" Yeah. I love having parenting criticized because the staff priority is everything and everyone else. We got huevos con jamón. The jamón was so bad my toddler spit it out. I was like, "I'll finish it then. I love jamón." Nope, also that bad that i ended spitting it out. And expensive. The only reason I went there was the place i had been the previous day was closed. Same menu items cost €5 with better service for what I paid for €7 there. (And the surcharge for sitting at a table bothers me too. Worse service at a table and you sure as heck can't do a toddler or baby at a bar.)
Laura H — Google review
Stopped in twice. In the morning and on our way out of Segovia in the late afternoon. Had an excellent American breakfast, eggs, ham, bread. Did not try the churros. Service was very good both times. In the afternoon stopped for a couple of beers and some tapas they have outdoor seating. Attentive service both times.

Cafetería "Casa de la Química" is a charming spot in Segovia with a stunning outdoor terrace that offers lovely views of the Alcazar and the cathedral. It's known for its good value for money, offering delicious Neopoletano and a variety of drinks. The staff is friendly and generous with tapas, making it a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous terrace.

Nicely located cafe. We only tried the Spanish egg omelette and it was good. Price was reasonable too, 6 euros for a good portion plus bread and salad. Very quick service and nice staff.

Very tourist unfriendly. They start laughing at my Spanish and then ignore me. It’s not acceptable. We left without ordering.

This place is right next to the alcazar ticket office. Sat at the bar, ordered, snacked, paid, left. Pretty uneventful. I do recommend going to the terrace for outstanding views of the cathedral and alcazar.

Segovia is famous for its scenery. If you want the enjoy the view, visit this cafeteria and enjoy the view from its patio. :) Segovia is also famous for its restaurants. If you want to eat, however, you better do not go to Casa de la Quimica. It took forever until we ordered, then ages until we got our food. Once we were done with our slightly burned toast, we got the second dish. It's Fast Food taking a loooong time to arrive at your table. One of the waitresses was friendly, still, it seems to be a tourist trap.
L. S — Google review
From its location and it’s garden you think that this place should be the most expensive or hardest to get to.. but once you’re in you will be greeted by the nicest staff with most generous tapas! We came in after kitchen hours but they kept on coming back with more things to give us we left finally full with just one beer which Is also cheaper than the plaza mayor bars.

Amazing place! Best view ever and it’s such a peaceful place. The food is also good! The service is excellent, the waiter was such an amazing hôte We loved it with my mom, we spend 3 hours there!

I’ve never left a review on Google but this was needed. The surrounding area is beautiful but our experience inside the cafe was less than ideal. My brother attempted to buy a water at the cafe and was ignored. When I entered to purchase my mom a coffee the man working at the front looked at me with disgust on his face and went to serve the people behind me in line. The man deliberately ignored us because we were Asian and made faces towards us. This was uncomfortable and it was disheartening to experience racism at a tourist attraction. Do better.

Such a lovely café that I went to both days that I was in Segovia. The food and drinks that I had were delicious and the waitress spoke perfect English and was very warm and welcoming. Discovering this café was like finding a hidden treasure, nestled in a serene and beautiful location. The avocado toast here is unbeatable - creamy, perfectly seasoned, and on crispy, freshly-baked bread. It's the best I've ever had. The granola yogurt, rich with nuts and fresh fruits atop creamy yogurt, is another highlight. This blend of amazing food in a stunning setting makes this café a must-visit. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.

WOW, YUMMY yummy food and amazing friendly service by the owner Anna. She just opened in July 2021 and this place is perfecto!! Such cute clean minimalist interior. Very good menu of many vegan and vegetarian choices! What a find in a town that thinks it’s okay to eat baby pigs…okay enough of that rant. Go meet Anna and enjoy her wonderful little gem of a cafe. My husband and I enjoyed a Prana Chai tea latte w/oat milk and coffee con leche w/oat milk. The Prana chai tea is my husband’s favorite so he was thrilled to find it served here. We both enjoyed an avocado & tomato toast with toasted sesame seeds and basil olive oil. To say this was an added bonus of flavor is an understatement! Oh my. So good!!!! Anna is such an inviting and friendly host. Her prices are very good. Take the extra time to search around the corner from where Google maps will lead you to and enjoy a very yummy YUM!!!

Bakery
The bakery, Panadería De Sepúlveda, is somewhat concealed, and the entrance may pose challenges for individuals with limited mobility. Despite these obstacles, it is highly recommended to visit this establishment. The baker exhibits an exceptional level of friendliness and cordially offered us some delectable shortbread cookies. We also purchased scrumptious muffins and a visually appealing almond cake. The total cost amounted to approximately 10 units of currency.

Hidden pastry shop in Sepúlveda, but one you don't want to miss. The service is excellent and the pastries are fabulous. We ordered puff pastry with rum, honey and chocolate and they were divine! I totally recommend this shop over the others that can be found in the main square. This shop is at the entrance to the village and down some stairs on San Esteban Street. Don't miss it!!

(Translated by Google) The bakery of a lifetime It is more than a simple village bakery, it reminds me of the good bakeries of a lifetime, the artisanal ones of yesteryear where they give and put everything they have and are, and that is noticeable and makes the difference when you try what they make. Although my family has had their favorite here for decades, I highlight their wide variety of loaves of bread. And above all the quality of their cakes (my favorites), and freshly made pastas. I think it's all good because of who and how he does it, it's not the oven, it's the person behind it, Chelin, a great baker and a better person, and that shows in the professionalism with which he does his job and runs his business. And in no other bakery have I been allowed to try something before buying it or to taste and give my opinion of a new creation.

I cannot recommend this place to ANYONE! No puedo recomendar este lugar. 25 minutes before closing, we enterado and knew they would be closing soon. She said abruptly (she was chatting with her friend) that they will be closing very soon. I said yeah understood, a small order of hot chocolate to go. Her reply was we don't have hot chocolate....and silence. I thought best I confirm, so you don't serve hot chocolate? Answer, no! We left, never to return, for what? Question I wanted to ask was why was pushing away business. Si la persona encargo de este empresa deben a ver porque las puertas estaban abiertas si no van a dar servicio a los clientes. 9/27/2024.

Guests rave about their breakfast options, particularly the perfectly fried eggs served with toast. This was a super easy and nice place to get some good food. The staff is super friendly! The owner was joking with me and put me at ease right away. I think their menu is a good amount of food for the price too! Would definitely go here again.

We went to this restaurant and it was so expensive and the food was not very good and ugly and the waiters are impolite! He told us that the drinks were included and there wasn’t any drinks in the menu.. we took 3 meals of 11( price written on the menu) but came out 13€ and ham for 3€ but he scammed us and charged us more money it was suppose to be 39€ and it came out to 55€ !! Also he printed 2 receipts and my friend handed the hand to take the receipt and the waiter slapped her hand and hide the receipt in his pocket and he made her pass her card twice. Unbelievable!

Cafetería La Flor de América is a cozy coffee shop located in Segovia, offering an extensive menu of coffee and tea. It stands out as one of the few proper coffee shops in the area, providing a welcome alternative to the cafes and bars that dominate the scene. Visitors appreciate its residential location, away from touristy areas like the Aqueduct. The cafe's dessert selection is particularly popular, with options like carrot cake and gluten-free or lactose-free choices available.
It is a totally a great and powerful place. I was several times during my stay in Segovia. And the ambience is Amazing and Cozy. You can find here a nice place for share with friends and be also along for read a book. Cute cafe with lots of cake and tea options, plus coffees and some other foods. I counted 27 types of cake and 16 types of cookies when I went. There are many more teas with different infusions as well. The girl working there was super cheery and talkative and eager to help choose which tea you wanted. There's a few seats inside, at least one with power. Many more seats outside. The seats outside are in front of a closed down restaurant, so this place looks closed down from afar, but it's not.

(Translated by Google) I went at 10pm because according to Google, it was supposed to be open until 11pm, but when I arrived they were already cleaning. I mentioned it to a man at the door who looked like the owner and he told me very rudely: You can put anything on the internet, this is already closed. I wouldn't go back, because to spend my money in a place where they don't care about customers... *Edited to be able to answer*: I agree with what you say about employees having to leave on time, but the time you set on Google for opening to the public has nothing to do with the time your employees leave work. I had to travel 20 minutes in vain with the consequent waste of time and gasoline, to theoretically arrive at an open place, and to be told that it is closed. Just like you can take care of your employees, you can take care of your customers, and the excuse you make is harmless. Set the time correctly, which costs you nothing and thus prevents people from taking a walk in vain, which is ugly. On top of that, don't use that cheap psychology of putting myself in the employee's place, when the fault is yours and not theirs and the solution is as simple as being clear.
