I recommend to visit here on Tuesday to Friday so you can also drop by the museum next to the church. I didn’t expect a small city like Olomouc has a cathedral in this style. Personally find the architecture is more breathtaking than the interior.

The Olomouc St. Wenceslas Cathedral is well worth a visit. The beautiful and large building is situated near its museum and a lovely square, with a pretty garden next to it. The gothic structure has a beautiful interior, with an impressive collection of relics. You can also descent into the catacombs and pay respect to some earlier cardinals, bishops and archbishops.

We were surprised to find such a huge and beautiful cathedral in not so big city. We planned just tea take pictures and move next, but when we first saw it, we decided to seat on a bench next to cathedral and were looking at it about a half an hour. 100 meters tower, Czech king was killed in one of its room, and big restoration was made in 2007. So you should visit it.

Absolutely beautiful cathedral in Olomouc! First mentions are from 12th century. Today’s look was mostly made around the end of 19th century. Indeed great piece of architecture! I highly recommend to visit one of organs concert.

We climbed the steps of the bell tower at St Maurice church, around 200 of them, to the top. The spiral staircase going up is beautiful. When you get to the top you can see the bell system and then go up another floor to see the view over the rooftops of the whole city. There are signs to explain what you are looking at and on the way down there are signs explaining the history of the church. We were the only ones up there at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. The church ask for a donation only.

Beautiful church with a stunning interior. There are beautiful paintings inside and it was so quiet while we were there. One of the coolest things is you can climb the very ancient bell tower. I’m terrified of heights so it was a struggle but the views of Olomouc are beautiful.

The belltower climb is a bit exhausting but worthwile for the view of the city. Voluntary donation for which I would encourage people to give, as this building should be kept for the future generations.

We encountered a passionate church worker to introduce the magnificent organ to us, haha despite we didn’t understand the language. The huge touch screen panel helped a lot. We got to see the restoration process of the organ. If you are a fan of admiring organ, please visit here.

Beautiful church with a big Problem: This is one of the many beautiful catholic churches the city of Olomouc has to offer. It is open in the day time and enables a great opportunity for a silent prayer while traveling or just passing through the city. BUT: as a catholic I am ashamed that out of all places this sacred one is where you will be met with hostile architecture. In front of this beautiful church there are multiple benches. Those benches are all facing to the front door of the church. But all of those benches were adjusted to be hostile to anyone seeking a place to sleep. On the sitting space of those benches you will find randomly placed nobs. They serve no aesthetical purpose. Their only purpose is to make those benches uncomfortable for anyone who wants to sit or lay on them for more than 10 minutes. This is a shame. No bench and especially no bench that is facing a sacred church should ever be build to be hostile to the most deprived people. I obviously don't know if those benches are property of this parish or are agreed on by the church administration. BUT how can the church administration read Marcus 10:46-52 and still tolerate this hostility against homeless, disabled or elderly in front of their own church? I call out the administration of the church to exchange these benches if they are the church's property or to demand an exchange in front of the local authorities if the benches are in public hand. How can we sit in a church and listen to the gospel of Jesus taking care of the homeless and abandoned people while 2 meters in front of the church we have placed benches that are hostile to exactly those people? This has to be changed ASAP if this church wants to be serious about their faith in God and the church's teachings. May God forgive us the hostilities we commit and may God recognize our efforts to change to the better.

Definitely one of the better zoos in Czech Republic. Can spent whole day there. Food options are rather poor though, mostly fast food unfortunately.

Nice place to spend time with family. Cons, because parking is really small and you have to park the car far from the zoo.

I like this zoo a lot. Kids are always happy to see nice health animals with plenty of room to walk, sleep and play. Food in here is average, do not expect to have something really special, but its not the major thing in here :). There are plenty of playgrounds for kids, who are thrilled to play there. You can visit lookout tower in the middle of the zoo, and see the whole place from bird perspective. Kids love to visit the goat area, where you can feed and pet the goats. Its so cool and small kids love this! The zoo is well taken care of and they improve the quality of this place each year!

We purchased the Through the Back Door and we have never had such great time. Both our boys were over the moon. Our guide was an amazing lady who took great care of us. Will be coming back every year!! Firmly embedded in our family traditions. Thank you!!

Fantastic zoo and was definitely worth leaving Prague for. Animal variety is extremely impressive and they are treated well by the friendly and passionate zoo staff. In contrast to many other zoos the animals are always clearly visible, while also assuring that they have the opportunity to remain unseen and undisturbed if they feel like it. There are also plenty of opportunities for getting up close with many of the animals, which can lead to some unforgettable interactions. There are also plenty of bathrooms, and kiosks where you can buy food, snacks, and dessert among other things. The zoo is also extremely well maintained and clean, making it a pleasant visiting experience. The only factor weighing down my score is the lack of credit card support in most if not all of the facilities in the zoo, which makes it important to bring cash in case you need snacks, drinks or you get hungry, while exploring the zoo.

Beautifal Zoo 7km away from the city of Olomouc. De tickets are cheap and you can spend 3 or 4 hours to see everhthing of the zoo. It is situated on In the hills and forest. When your finished it's nice to visit the Basilik church nearby the zoo. From here you will have amazing view over Olomouc. The zoo is also reached by public transport from Olomouc railway station you take the bus for 15 minutes.

Smaller but nice astronomical clock, built in 15th century. Nicely reconstructed in the fifties. The best time to come in see it it's by noon, when all the small statues come to life.

One the most beautiful town hall in Czech republic. Do not miss this one at historical square of Olomouc which is hosting a lot of cultural events throughout the year.

A beautiful place, currently offering an intriguing exhibition of local excavation works objects. Loved the sword from 12th (or so) century and toys for kids from 16th century. Big thanks to local curators, not to be missed if in town.

Great place to know the city of Olomouc is Jesuit city and baroque city. Lots of precious artifacts are exhibited. Highly recommended when you are in Olomouc. Together with ORC card, the tickets are not required. At least 90mins required for seeing everything. I spent 150 minutes there.

Skvělé! [český ,Czech (meaning: awesome)] Firstly, I am Rep. of KOREA student. And, I didn't well english. Anyway~ Today, I went to this museum. This place have absolutely diverse things. For example, luxury carriage, beautiful treasures, very great drawings historical items, and significant spaces. I was deeply impressed. Here, I learned the history of the Czech Republic, and the staff on the first floor lent me a tablet pc and it was very good to understand many works. Honesty, I didn't interested arts and religion. But I changed. I really want to vist here once again. I encourage visitor to learn simple Czech. I hope you will communicate with Czech people who are kind in Czech. When I went back, I was so happy 😄. When I leave the museum, I am really sorry that I can not express to the staff that this museum is really great.😢

Very interestingwith lots of artefacts, art and even a golden coach. Beautiful to walk round too

Big church museum that contains some of the most important paintings and items. Ground floor preserves the original castle remains and sculptures, the first floor exibits golden carriage and other religious items used in Christian ceremonies amd the second floor features many valuable paintings.

I downloaded the English audio tour before I left the hotel and paid at the palace door. The staff were very kind and there was no problem purchasing the tickets. The tour and palace are very interesting because like most European historical structures it starts from the medieval times and continues to morph and be added onto throughout the ages. In the basement, you can see the castle cellars and then it moves through the ages. My favorite item in the entire place were life size statues of Jesus and his sleeping apostles in the Garden of Gesthename. The museum does need to put arrows of where to go for each step of the audio tour. Well worth the admission fee.

Great exposition framed by outstanding combination of modern and traditional architecture. Modern loft is designed by HŠH architects. Good to see before you visit the city, because it make you understand how it was build and what to see.

A very beautiful historical building.

Hradisko Monastery situated ať north-east od the číty of Olomouc, Czechia. Originally a Benedictine Monastery built by Moravian Přemysliden in 1078, since 12th century Premonstratensian Monastery, since 1995 cultural herritage, today a military Hospital teaching Medical students of Palacký University. Beautiful baroque building belonging to architectural splendors od Central Europe. The interior decoration with ceiling artwork And baroque sculptures were redesigned in 1730. Today IT Is a place for concerts od classical music.

I joined the tour. The tour starts twice a day. The language is Czech, so other language-speakers will receive the German or English text pages. The text is written by each room. Apart from the guiding text, the artifacts are marvelous. Tourists must visit and see. Taking fotos cost for 2euros through the tour.

Beautiful palace and cheap tour (50 ck for students). Tour was almost 1 hour long and went through 9 rooms, but the tour guide only spoke in Czech, so for those who want to learn the history of the palace, we would have to listen to an audio guide or read a few sheets of text. Having the tour guide give the tour in English--the 3rd most spoken language in the world--definitely would have improved the quality of the tour and attract more tourists, instead of catering to those who already live in the country.

Shortened guided tour due to Covid was still 30 minutes long. We didn't want to wait for the next English tour, but they gave us reading material and the guide gave us a quick overview between rooms. He seemed to be very engaging during the tour, especially with the children. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and learn something.

A hidden but important part of local history often overlooked by tourists. It is the official seat of the archbishop of Olomouc. You can pay for a guided tour of the representative halls, which is typically in Czech but you can request an audio guide or reading materials.

Nice place and full of history. The visit is a bit short but was well worth the time. Just take into consideration that it's closed on sunday and can only be visited in a tour. (Audioguide in english or french is available so no need to worry)

Beautiful palace. Must visit in Olomouc. Exhibition shows some great paintings of painters that Church supported over the years.

Traveling to 20 cities in 10 European countries throughout the summer, we visited many waterparks. Out of all, Aquapark Olomouc was the smallest...and the coldest. Arriving on a Saturday in August around 12.30, we waited in line to get inside for 30 minutes. (We later found out it's how they regulate the crowds. They do a great job at not having too many people inside.) Tickets are by age and time. We paid for three hours, which felt like the right amount. There's an inside space with two saunas, three hot tubs, three water slides, a kids area, a rapid river, a cafe, and a pool. Outside are several more pools, two slides, a kids splash area, a bar, and a small playground. Every pool is colder than you expect, including the hot tubs. Most of the slides are slower than expected except for the funnel slide. The steep drop at the start is a thrill! The powerful dryers in the shower areas are a nice touch in case you forget to bring a towel.

I would like to preface this review by stating that my experience is strictly limited to the wellness section of the facility. As a foreigner who has lived in the Czech Republic for over 12 years, I was eager to visit a wellness center in Olomouc during our long weekend stay. Unfortunately, I was left deeply disappointed by the wellness experience, which I feel compelled to share. To begin, the sauna ceremony was nothing short of shocking. The space was overcrowded to the point where we could barely find a comfortable spot to sit. The ceremony leader's introduction lasted more than five minutes, during which time we were already feeling uncomfortably hot. Many of us, including myself, had to leave early as the heat became unbearable—this was not an isolated issue. The selection of music was also questionable and did not enhance the experience in any way. To make matters worse, the ceremony leader accidentally struck a woman multiple times with the towel during the performance, which was both unprofessional and unsettling. Additionally, It looks like guests are allowed to bring personal belongings, including bags, into the wellness area beyond the changing rooms. This is not only inconvenient but also compromises the overall atmosphere and comfort of the space (there were even people drinking beer out of cans in the public whirlpool). With all that being being said please also take into account that: only 4 saunas are available (2 of which are really small), you have to pay extra for towels and there is no hairdryer in the changing rooms (at least the one for men). Overall, my visit to this wellness center was incredibly disappointing, and I would not recommend it based on my experience.

Me and my 12 Year old daughter went here while on holiday in Olomouc in July. Almost no one there (it was a Monday), except grandparents with small children. The slides were fun (three inside and two outside), the outside pool was a bit cold when it wasn’t that warm weather. The wellness area was very nice, saunas, massage pool and hot tubs 😃 Our ticket gave us three hours, which was enough for us this time (maybe we would have stayed longer if the sun had been more out😎) I really like it when the wardrobes has a centrifuge for the swimsuits, a bonus in my book!!!

I had fun, very small and a bit crowded but they got tonnes of avtivities like sauna and massages on top of the aqua park. Prices were by the hour, 3hrs or the entire day. I recommend the 3hrs one for the first time. Costed 640 kč for 2 people (about 25€) They also have food and beer for an avarage amusement place price (a bit much by other words) Overall at least worth it once with family and friends.

It’s one of strangest religious buildings I’ve ever seen. It’s small on the corner and very compact. Beautiful sculptures and architecture is making this place unforgettable.

Small Holy Hill above Olomouc. Moravia. Extraordinary baroque place with organic art of Itally masters. Worth to stay here over night in gloving gentel energy. I'm not sure what came first, the energy of this place, or the purity and holiness of the members of the local Premonstratensian convent, or the beauty of the people climbing to the sky, but it is a place where prejudices and concepts fall away and the gentle inner light of "Mary", "our lady", remains.

The basilica is beautiful and the view is gorgeous. There's not much to do. A few great walks. Maybe during the seasons it is more active, looks a bit in decay, it's a shame.

Svatý Kopeček is a holy building worth visiting. The views from the Basilica are astonishing. The Minor Basilica is from the baroque era, because of the organs and almost everything is golden. The inside is suprising.

Wow, what a spectacular piece of architecture! Still under restoration as of July 2019, but worth the trip anyway. You can enjoy the interior and the beautiful view of the city, and also walk to the zoo from here. There is a big sign indicating that photography inside the basilica is only allowed with a tour guide, but we asked and were permitted to take pictures of the interior. (You surely will want to, as well.)

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Amazing basilica minor on small hill with astonishing view on Olomouc. Nice place for trip and definitely must-see landmark in Olomouc and Moravia. And - pope Johan Paul II. was here 😉

It is like a rose heaven - full of roses and nice smell. Sometimes there are cool events too. It is a real oasis in Olomouc city center.

An incredible Spot for rose lovers. Although the area is not very lange, there is an abundancy of roses to be seen. A small cafe and toilets are there.

Huge garden with a very lax and refreshing atmosphere. Surrounded with buildings, historic and contemporary alike. I had a great time taking a walk and hanging around the garden. Definitely worth paying a visit or two.

It's a pretty park, we were there alone for about an hour, sitting on benches. Some of the roses were in full bloom and were very pretty. The view of the large park below is great too. Minutes' walk from the university on one side and from the large botanical garden on the other.

Pretty place with lots of roses. Many different kinds, everything well written. I recommend going on not that sunny day because it's really pain to survive in the heat. If you enjoy nature and roses, visit Rosarium. You can bring blanket and chill on the grass as well.

For a small town these gardens were really nice. There are different sections and it’s easy to get lost but wandering through the different parts and levels was a nice experience.

Olomouc is a beautiful and interesting place. Anyone can find something they fancy. Perfect for a day trip or a weekend stay.

This town is a perfect choice for a holiday. But be careful you'll have to ask the restaurant if they accept credit card. There are many small restaurants they don't accept credit, be very careful, don't use ATM,, JBL charge you a lot of money. We used the ATM , we took 200 Czech crowns out of it. They charged extra costs now the same the amount. They charged 195 Czech krone. Do not use ATM, just use your card.

A nice monument in the square of the city. Easy access by tram 1 or 7 from the train station. Many options for food and drink nearby.

A magical place where old and new meet. You can definitely feel the stunning atmosphere of the old city and at the same time see lots of young people walking around. A must-see location if you're visiting in the region. The architecture is amazing, as well as the restaurants and the transport. Great location.

One of the two nice town squares of Olomouc. Good ice-cream, try poppy seed, it's very good. For the experimental ones try cucumber (no idea how that tastes). Town hall in the middle of the square, with an astronomical clock in socialist realism style. Small figures move at noon only. There is a white church behind the square where you can go up it's square tower for a view over the city.

We visited the Christmas Market in Olomouc. It was very nice there. We had a lot of delicious food, punch and sweets there. Every evening was a concert. We cached also the clock playing.

Very conceited, ignorant and unhelpful ticket seller woman, who needs educating in elementary Customer services! She needs to acquire an attitude and the professionalism that's demonstrated by the pleasant and amazing Cinema, Museum and park / zoo staff ! The rudest Czech woman I have had the displeasure to interact with. A very poor Ambassador representing your Theatre Company and indeed your City!

A reall nice small theater with a wonderful atmosphere. We took a group of children ti see Scrooge. In Czech, naturally, but easy to follow and done extremely well. Kudos to the performers, stage hands, and crew. Well done!

La Clemenza di Tito this evening. This is a pity that the clarinettist didn't play the basset horn for "non piu di fiori". I didn't though this should be still possible in a professionnal orchestra in 21th Century. This a real loss not to have had the lower notes, and even for notes in tune, the register of the clarinet and basset horn sounds very different. But, as all the experiences I have had in this theatre, music is very good, and singer are almost all very good too.

Despite being a bit touristy and expensive food is excellent and staff helpful and efficient. Menu inspired by cuisine of the region. Goulash was delicious. Coffee expensive though beautifully presented. Beware the cheese straws and nuts on the tables. They are not free!

Very good place to enjoy a theater play or opera. Students with ISIC card have discount so it is cheap. I recommend to go!

Beautiful fountain in the heart of the city.

Beautiful work of Ivan Theimer. Huge tortoise is meeting point for locals. If I am not wrong, Arion Fountain is one place, traveller can refresh himself. This is commonly used from local gypsies to wash their children. Otherwise it's really great work of art.

Nice. Please dont put your DOGS into the water. They are full of germas. Babies/Kids love to play with water here.

Building is under reconstruction from inside, so we wasn’t able to see this beauty. But outside it’s just regular church without anything what eyes can catch. Five stars only for reconstructions. Now we have the reason to come here again.

A great park for relaxing, healing and walking

A really beautiful walk around the walls of Olomouc. This is the most picturesque place surrounding the historic centre and a nice way to cut through to parts of the University outside the walls.

This is a perfect place for walking, chilling and even feeding ducks. Very good park!

Pleasant piece of nature in the city. River, trees, cycling route, all very nice. You can stop by the playground too if you have children (tho it needs some coverage from the sun).

Nice place in town centre with historical buildings and nature surroundings

This place looks small and little square from outside;;;; but it is amazing...excellent for children offers no only one floor to visit... first you see retro from our child's life we could remember even go back to memories at that time... next floor very helpfull for school education about stones; soil and plants... next floor lovely place with various kind of animals / birds; wolvs; fishes.../ also you cam see traditional culture of old living and also some famous people close to Olomouc town.

Quite surprised , expected the unexpected. Even after living in Czech for 10 years no one told me either foreigners or czechs or Slováks about the tallest Man if then Czekoslovakia. 🔥❣️😁👌 Had not much time so did not see all so will go once again with full of time armour.

Great museum! A little kid-orientated by I enjoyed myself thorougly. When I was there there was an ongoing rock exhibition nearby which was stunning - especially due to the nice man running the place who was very passionate.

Large collection of natural, geophysical, and historical artifacts! The infopanels in the history section were very dense in information, and paint a complete picture of the history of Olomouc and Morovia as a whole. It was very cheap, and I enjoyed myself quite a lot! Note that English was not always available.

Church of the Virgin Mary of the Snow. This university church was built by Olomouc Jesuit from 1712 to 1719 on the site of the former Minorite monastery church. Impressive frescoes and organ. Visit this place and recommend the donations for the repairment fees.

Jesuit Baroque church. absolutely beautiful inside. I am nor catholic so I did not attend mass however I still enjoyed my visit.

Spent many hours here and the park across the street - endless trees, a small pond, an avenue of beautiful plants and flowers, cafes, restaurants, and many animals - mostly birds, but also squirrels!

You can't practice yoga in the park! Unless you pay... 🤬

The middle of the three main parks of Olomouc. Well maintained and comfortable place to enjoy a little bit of sunshine in the summer. Various events held here throughout the year. English exercise boot camp twice a week with Victoria agency. An indoor and an outdoor bar in its centre. Plenty of benches. It even has it's own bus and train stop at one end. Lovely place.

Very big exhibition center. It was very crowded. But we were happy. Many types of trees and flowers.

Stupid! Mainly a bazar of various goods. Not many flower arrangements, peetty boring, nothing to see. People paid a ticket to go and eat, establishments with food were full, I don't get it.

Been there for tattoo expo, well equipped, clean and nice place for an expo. The park nearby is worth the visit.

Surrounded by a vert nice park, and having nice exhibit facilities, Flora is the best place in Olomouc to visit when you need your flowers to shine at home.
