Mediterranean restaurant
Pars Cuisine is a vibrant eatery that offers a mix of Mediterranean and Persian cuisine, complete with a hookah bar, patio seating, and live belly dancing. The restaurant is part of a cluster of dining establishments in the area, each offering its own unique take on Middle Eastern flavors. At Pars Cuisine, guests can expect an upscale dining experience with beautifully presented Turkish dishes prepared by a skilled chef. The restaurant prides itself on its inviting ambiance and attention to detail.
I am a person who likes to visit and discover new places in my lovely state of New Mexico. If you like Mediterranean food, this is the perfect place for you. A quiet and cozy atmosphere, the food (although unknown to me.) We opted to order lamb cooked in a tomato sauce with spices, a very tasty dish, it resembles the taste of lamb birria from Mexico. On Fridays and Saturdays they have a presentation of Belly dancers, highly recommended place

Loved our experience here! The decor and atmosphere are on point - they even had a dancer going through the restaurant. Service was really good, courteous and timely. But the food was spectacular. We had to google a lot of the dishes and ingredients and I love experimenting with new foods so that was a hit. We all loved what we ordered, very authentic and not stuff I've ever tried before. I ordered the lamb shank and it was falling off the bone into a delicious tomato sauce that paired perfectly with the saffron rice. This place will definitely be a revisit for us.
Acacia V — Google review
First time visit. Carry out order. Friendly server. This was their moussaka dinner entree. $18. (See photo. This is the small styrofoam container, not the big one.) It did come with an ample simple side salad, but this seemed like the side dish, tbh. Not sure if this is a Persian moussaka?, but this did not have the Greek flavors we were craving, esp after recently returning from a trip to Greece. Tzatziki was also lacking Greek punch. Disappointing. Also: FYI for those feeding kids: we’re not allowed to order carry-out from kids menu.
T T — Google review
The decor and feel of the place are immersive. Belly dancing show on certain nights, also impressive and entertaining. The food is where we were disappointed. The pricing is high for the base plates, then to add rice or salad or beef/lamb is an additional $5+ each! The hummus was fine, the lamb was flavorful but had a lot of connective tissue, the rice was... rice. Our bill was $67, for two people with a small bowl of hummus for appetizer, and an entree each, no drinks, no dessert. Can eat as delicious Mediterranean for much less elsewhere.

We love this place. On our most recent visit, our server (Jennifer) was particularly good. She had great recommendations and we found her to be very pleasant and made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the sultani, one chicken one beef, for a great taste of what they have to offer. We've never been disappointed and highly recommend.
Drew M — Google review
This is one of the best dining experiences I've had in years! I was in town on business and it's a real shame the family didn't get to come with me. I tried the appetizer sampler the stew sampler and the dessert sampler. If you want to get a good impression of how wonderful this menu is overall I suggest trying escorting! The pomegranate and walnut stew sounds weird but it was absolutely fantastic! The falafel or some of the best I've ever eaten. And the Turkish coffee was phenomenal. The service was top-notch and the floor show is something to write home about!
Warman H — Google review
People: were nice! Seating area: nicely decorated Food: koobide was so dry and hard we could hardly cut. Lamb shank was not fully cooked, could not get the meat out w knife. Prices: way too high Yogurt drink: a total rip-off, was like a slushy, ice w Yogurt flavor All un all very disappointing The place seemed to have some recognition on the wall. My guess that they know how to make good food, but don't do it for normal customers ...perhaps special events get to have food made by real chefs... just speculation Waste of my travel meal.
Elahe J — Google review
Dined here with 2 companions. Place was packed but we got one of the last tables. The spices you smell upon entering the place is great. I had the whole Cornish Hen while my companions had the Lamb Shanks. All our entrees came with rice and we ordered Pita Bread as an extra. We also had the Greek Salad which had a tasty dressing. The main courses were very delicious. One thing that was great also was the extensive varieties of tea and coffee they had. Service was great even though the place was full. Altogether we spent $120 including tip. Great place to dine with a nice atmosphere.

Steak house

Liquor store
Restaurant
Monte Carlo Liquors & Steak House is a retro bar with a restaurant in the back, offering local favorite green chile burgers and steaks. It's known for its hole-in-the-wall vibe, where you walk through the liquor store to access the restaurant. While originally popular for their burgers, they have gained fame for their delicious steaks. The atmosphere matches its unassuming exterior, and it's not uncommon to wait around 40 minutes on an average night as they don't take reservations.
We were so excited to go here for our first time. We have been wanting to go for years. It was so enjoyable. The atmosphere is awesome. Very rustic, dark, quaint, and so nostalgic. The service was great. We had the cutest and sweetest waitress. Her name was Faith. My husband and I shared a steak meal. The steak was cooked to perfection. Everything was wonderful. The salad was fresh, and in a wooden bowl, he had delicious housemade blue cheese dressing. Oh, how, we love those homemade fresh cut french fries. We want to go back again. The only letdown was the iced tea. We like fresh brewed iced tea and not one from the machine. The tea wasn't good at all.
Kami ( — Google review
Don't mistake the rating; I will be back to Monte Carlo Steakhouse. I just don't want you thinking it Ruth's Chris. It felt like "Roadhouse". To be on Route 66, right at the Rio Grande, this place HAS to have stories. I was there almost as soon as it opened and was glad to see March Madness on multiple screens. I can't imagine what it's like at night. Must be a fun place. If you have trouble seeing in dim light, maybe bring a friend or choose your seating carefully. PS: The bathrooms are not like the dining area; the restrooms are quite new, modern, and feature updated facilities. Nice touch.
Jordan R — Google review
I wanted to try out this Steakhouse long before the days that it ended up on the Food Network shows. It is probably the epitome of a hole in the wall Steakhouse. Excellent steaks, no fuss sides and a very friendly dining staff. You also can't bet the idea that the eclectic decor is authentic and not something fabricated for a chain restaurant. I tried the prime rib special but actually liked the wife's ribeye steak better!
Warman H — Google review
The last night in Albuquerque ment it was time to visit #MonteCarloSteakHouse located in the back of a Liquor store. Yes, very cool and it ment good, cheap drinks. #margarita for me and #maiTai for my husband which he said delivered a nice rum punch. This restaurant came up in an Albuquerque food group as a local hang out. It was awesome. The interior felt like it was stuck in time when Elvis was still King. Dark wood paneling and dim lighting added to the ambiance, we needed a flashlight to read the menu. The entrees of pork were grilled and had great flavor and a wonderful sear. Pork Kebab for my husband, pork chops for me. Make sure to ask for medium for a less well done cooked meat. Panko battered #onionRings were yum and a great appetizer to start the meal off. Salads, rice, and baked potato complimented the meal, with Strawberry cheesecake to end the evening. So many other things I’d like to try in a return visit to Monte Carlo Steakhouse #GuyFieriDDDLocation

Great local steaks place. Had to wait in line, but it was worth it. Reasonable prices.
Yotam L — Google review
One of my favorite places to visit in Albuquerque. Hand cut fresh fries, hand battered chicken fried steak lunch special for$10.99 and amazing service.
Judy M — Google review
I finally had a chance to see what all the hype was about at the Monte Carlo Steakhouse and overall I was not impressed, the Chicken I had was dry, the appetizer was mediocre, the salad was not fresh, the only thing I liked was the loaded baked potato. The waitress was friendly and provided good customer, unfortunately due to the satisfactory experience that I had , I will not be back.
Ross P — Google review
If you are familiar with the lore of the Monte Carlo steakhouse, you probably don't need my review. It's a hole in the wall locale, where you walk through the liquor store to get to the restaurant. Originally made popular for their burger, they have become very well known for their steaks. The atmosphere is what one should expect for such a hole in the wall location. They do not split checks and you should expect to wait 40 minutes during an average night. They do not take reservations. If you're expecting a black tie steakhouse, you're in the wrong place. Make no mistake, you're here for the food. All said, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was as expected and the owner spent some time chatting with us, which is always nice.

Restaurant
Sawmill Market, located in Albuquerque's Sawmill District, is a trendy warehouse transformed into New Mexico's first artisanal food hall. With over 25 merchants offering a diverse range of culinary experiences, the market celebrates the state's rich cultural and culinary traditions. The expansive courtyard and outdoor spaces like restaurant patios and The Yard provide ample room for visitors to enjoy their meals. Additionally, seasonal programming and an upstairs event space called The Mill Room offer opportunities for culinary and cocktail demos and classes.
We had a great overall lunch experience! I really enjoyed the lively and welcoming vibe of the place. My family and I ordered from three different food stalls, the Green Chile Pasta, Chicken Pesto Pizza, and Chicken Mole Tacos were all flavorful and satisfying. For dessert, we treated ourselves to Dip Cream from Palermo Cream, a definite highlight! I had coffee-flavored ice cream with a chocolate dip and almonds, and it was absolutely delicious. A fun spot with a great variety of food, we’ll be coming back for sure!
Reshma M — Google review
My wife and I happened to walk into this place by chance, and it felt like we had stumbled upon one of the trendiest spots in New Mexico. You can enjoy a variety of unique dishes along with casual beer and wine, making it a perfect place to hang out with friends or have a fun time with your partner. We had a great time together, and the truffle pasta we ordered was absolutely delicious — definitely something we plan to get again on our next visit!
Jin-ho Y — Google review
I absolutely love the idea of food halls! Everyone in your group can find something they want to eat, and you all can eat together. I was here by myself, and there were so many amazing options. I ended up with a fancy drink and some incredible pasta. I would absolutely go here again and again and try new things!
Calla J — Google review
After checking out Albuquerque Old Town, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Sawmill Market. It offered a completely different vibe - a clean, modern food hall showcasing a wide range of diverse cuisines. I was traveling solo, so I could only try a few things. Ordered six jumbo wings from Outlaw Chicken, they were some of the best I’d ever had, well-seasoned and juicy. Highly recommend! Whether you're just passing through New Mexico liked I was or you're a local, this place was a must-visit!
Cat H — Google review
Sawmill is such a fun spot to hang out and enjoy a meal in ABQ. We ordered Tacos from the taco shop, Paella from the Spanish spot, and Paleta bars. All the food was top-notch and the atmosphere was fun inside and out! Would recommend for large groups or just those with different preferences.

Amazing place to visit, so many delicious looking foods to try it was hard to choose! I could spend half the day here just reading and eating.
Heidi W — Google review
This was a cool place. The options are good. There are so many choices of food and drinks. The patio was dog friendly!!!! I will be coming back for sure. I would highly recommend this place. They are pet friendly A+ for that!!!!! Thank you for the good times.

Food Mecca! This place solves what the family is going to eat plus full bars! We stopped to eat here on our day trip to Albuquerque. So many choices and we were not disappointed. From coffee to desserts to margaritas. And, don’t get me started on a great Whiskey selection. The service was amazing and every vendor always recommended something unique. We plan on staying at the hotel across the street when we do an overnight trip. This was next level food court!

The menu features an array of delectable options, including the standout Beef Tenderloin Tips with rice, tzatziki, and Greek salad, as well as the flavorful Mediterranean Rice Bowl with Chicken Souvlaki, hummus, and salad.
I got the ribeye souvlaki with dolmas and wifey got the beef and lamb gyros pita. Everything was sooo delicious. All the meat was cooked to perfection, tender and moist. Dolmas were on the small side but very flavorful, not bland, perfect with a little lemon juice and tzatziki. Mmm

I have yet to order food from here but I went for the coffee & it was delicious! So happy to find a good coffee place that won't charge me close to $10 for a iced oat milk caramel latte! The place doesn't open until 11 but it's worth the wait for the $$$ you will save on coffee from a different place(Starbucks, Satellite). This will be my coffee spot from now on until I buy my espresso machine. I paid $4.05 for a 16oz iced coffee!

This was our first. Not worth the hype. The food was okay. Pros- -We got place to park in a busy street -Good dessert Cons- -the potato chips was soggy - the Pastito(pasta) tasted different- had a very specific flavor/ spice that we didn’t like. -the person taking care of our order didn’t come to check if we needed anything. Overall- the place was ok- won’t go again. -

Good, fast service with superb food! I absolutely frequent gyros when I want Mediterranean. I have yet to try a dish I don't like 😁 everything is well seasoned, and their pita, that comes with a lot of dishes, is very soft and fluffy. Their chips are also fried fresh in house, which gives them a very unique feel and taste that I quite like. The tadziki sauce is absolutely lovely, and their salad dressing is excellent.
Jeff A — Google review
Wonderful food. We were a party of 6. Mostly had Gyros of different types with salads & fried potato chips. Only reason for 4⭐️ instead of 5 is that one order took an extremely long time. But, they did reimburse her & gave her a dessert. Great service! I do recommend 😁

Stopped by for the first time today and will definitely be back for more! The vibe here is fantastic and the menu is full of delicious choices. I'm excited to try them all! The falafel, hummus and pita were my favorite things today, but everything was tasty. I brought home baklava and soup for later and both were on point. I honestly can't say enough nice things about this gem of a restaurant. Well done, Gyros Mediterranean! This place is perfection.

Middle Eastern restaurant
Caterer
Diner
Sahara Middle Eastern Eatery in Albuquerque, NM offers a vibrant dining experience with generous servings of traditional Middle Eastern cuisine. The menu features a variety of dishes such as kabobs, falafel, and bean dishes, along with specialties like the Jordanian vegetarian plate and lentil soup. Guests can indulge in flavorful options like kibbeh, Turkish chicken shawarma, and Afghani tika kabob. The eatery also provides ample vegan choices and delectable desserts.
Among the best middle eastern food I've had. Prices are great, service is friendly. They also help feed those in need in our community without advertising it. Good people.
Alex W — Google review
Sahara is a casual counter-serve Middle Eastern restaurant on Central. They have both booth and regular seating options available, which are all indoors. There are no steps into or inside the venue, so patrons with mobility issues will not have any issues. I had the chicken tika kebab wrap (located under the “Sandwiches” section on the menu and spelled with one “K”), which is described as, “Marinated tender chicken breast skewers charbroiled and topped with garlic sauce, parsley, and pickles.” I additionally added tzatziki sauce in the wrap, then added a side of French fries for $3. The char flavor on the chicken was quite strong, and I missed the tika flavoring in it. I would have enjoyed something else to be in the wrap other than the only solid items to be medium pieces of chicken and thin-sliced pickles, because it felt like it was missing something overall. I did enjoy the pickles in the wrap. The side of fries were cooked fresh and were salty. I enjoy pretty salty fries, but if patrons don’t like lots of salt they would likely want to ask for light salt on those. After the meal the table is bused, so patrons do not need to clear their plates themselves. Overall the restaurant was fine. My dining companion agreed the chicken tasted too charred and was similarly unimpressed with the experience overall.

It was SUPER good just didn’t get what I ordered.. i ordered chicken shawarma/ plate but got this. Clearly beef and lamb.. the baklava and tea were also amazing I would have given 5 stars otherwise. Regardless I will def be back

A nice place to dine in. Foods were delicious. We took entree plate having beef and lamb shawarmah with added kofta kabob and gyro plate from kid’s menu.Portion was more than enough for two. Owner was offering free meals to the homeless during Christmas eve.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If you're looking for the best food in town, look no further! This place has truly stolen our hearts with its incredible food, unmatched service, and the warmest family atmosphere. Every visit feels like coming home. The owners are not only passionate about their food but also deeply committed to giving back to the community, which makes dining here even more special. Their menu is a delightful celebration of flavors, and every dish is crafted with love and care. I can't recommend their food enough! And if you're a fan of desserts, you absolutely must try their baklava – it's simply divine! Flaky, sweet, and perfectly balanced, it’s the cherry on top of a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a family dinner, you’ll be welcomed with open arms. This gem of a restaurant is a true treasure, and we can't wait to return again and again!

Got a to-go order of the Lebanese plate and their burger. Both of the plates were absolutely delicious. I also stopped in to get the Dubai bar which did not disappoint.
Heather H — Google review
Sahara has been one of my longtime favorites in Albuquerque, and it still holds up as one of the better spots for Middle Eastern food in the city. The flavors are rich, the dishes are thoughtfully made, and the portions are satisfying, even if I occasionally wish there were a bit more protein included. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food presentation is solid, and the ingredients generally feel fresh and well-prepared. Service is reliable, whether dining in or ordering to-go. If I could give four and a half stars, I would. What holds it back from a full five is mostly about consistency. Every now and then the seasoning or balance of flavors can feel slightly off from what I’ve come to expect. And while I understand the price increases over the years, it has made it harder to eat here as often as I used to. That said, the overall experience is still strong. Sahara remains a quality choice, and I continue to recommend it to anyone looking for something flavorful, familiar, and well-executed.
Blux — Google review
The food is consistently amazing with generous portions. The interior decor is fun and unique with gorgeous hand painted murals. Seating is spacious and easy to navigate with plenty of space between tables for wheelchair and walker users. The staff are very friendly and responsive. One of my favorite restaurants in all of Albuquerque.

Alquds Mediterranean Grill and Grocery is a family-owned establishment that offers a unique blend of Turkish cuisine alongside a grocery store. The restaurant features a team of skilled chefs dedicated to serving the best Mediterranean dishes, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings and special occasions. While the initial impression may be that of a grocery store, there's also a dining area with tables where patrons can enjoy their meals.
Absolutely delightful find, and some of the best food I have had in Albuquerque. I am so glad we chose to follow the reviews! Great selection of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean foods and snacks in the grocery; excellent food, service, and prices in the restaurant. Unassuming place, definitely worth the visit. The baklava is heavenly, and I can honestly say this is the best gyro I have ever had. Baba ghanouj and hummus tasted fresh and homemade, presentation was lovely. Can't wait to come back!

A repurposed old bank building that now serves as both a grocery store and restaurant. This was my second visit. And it was just as impressive as the first. The hummus and chicken were flavorful and fresh, the baklava was absolutely phenomenal. A unique spot worth visiting again and again.
J G — Google review
The chicken schwarma wrap is so freaking good here. I had it per a recommendation from the guy at the counter. The flavor is so tasty and vibrant and the marinade is so addicting. It blends everything together perfectly. I got it cut up and while I really love the presentation, I recommend getting it whole so the marinade stays consistent in the wrap. Nonetheless, so so good! You gotta go here if you haven't already. If you have, stop here again, it's awesome! And be sure to check out their store while you're waiting for your food and get some baklava on the way out. I was a bit confused at first because when you walk in all you really see is the grocery store with a counter and a digital menu over the register. I stood in line to order at the register and was informed I could take a seat. That's when I was shown a side room full of tables. The place seemed a bit short staffed, but I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind waiting a bit. I arrived at 1pm on a Monday. The place was accommodating dine-in and to-go orders, so a bit busy. The menu has plenty to choose from and the portions are satisfying. The fresh made pita bread will melt in your mouth and have you doing a happy dance. I had the cubed, roasted chicken with hummus, pita bread and Greek salad. The salad was impressive because not only was the portion large, but the tomatoes and cucumbers were nicely diced and the ingredients were fresh with a delightful dressing. Then came the chicken, hummus and pita. All so satisfying that it felt like soul food. I feel like I found a hidden gem. The food is delicious. Plus, there is a grocery store to explore to walk off the incoming food fatigue from eating everything on the table! High quality olive oil, olives, tea and more. This is an awesome little spot to explore and get your food fix. Definitely go.

My new favorite place in town, top three. Still debating the order. Portion is generous and food is most fresh… we already plan to come back next week😂

Delicious lamb shawarma sandwich. They're generous with the amount of meat and I like that they have garlic sauce. Service is extremely quick. If you eat there, there's table service.

We eat here every week to two weeks. There’s a great reason why we love this place. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They have no issues answering questions about the meals, groceries or most things in general. The food is fresh, plentiful and they even have family meals on the cheap if needed. The taste of their food is amazing! I recommend trying their chicken wings. Order them plain… The taste is unique and there is NO comparison! We love this restaurant!!!

I eat here frequently because the food has always been fresh, the staff are friendly and polite, the portions are generous, and the price won’t break the bank accounts. The platters are really good and filling. The sandwiches are delicious.

Chello Grill is a casual Persian restaurant known for its delicious kebabs, grilled meat plates, salads, and rice dishes. Despite the name 'Chello,' which means rice in Farsi, the menu offers much more than just rice. The restaurant serves flame-grilled kabobs, open-face gyro sandwiches, specialty teas, authentic Persian stews, and healthy options. The establishment prides itself on providing excellent food service and sumptuous Mediterranean cuisine with a highly trained staff.
My first time and was super impressed! You order at the counter and then they serve the food to your table. Lots of options and great options for vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, etc. The falafel was excellent! Flavorful and crispy on the outside. The pitas were warm and a little chewy🤌🏻. We were pleasantly surprised by the iced tea offerings, they were not over sweetened and let the tea flavors do the talking. Definitely going back to try more!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chello Grill is a Mediterranean gem in Albuquerque! Every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection — from the delicious Falafel bites and gyro cuts to the creamy hummus and crispy fries topped with feta and herbs. The chickpea salad was refreshing and well-seasoned too. Portions are generous, the space is bright and clean, and the staff is super friendly. You can tell they take pride in the food and the service. Highly recommend stopping by — you won’t leave hungry! 💡 Pro Tip If you’re unsure what to order, ask for sampler options – they’re helpful, and the team is friendly and eager to guide your choice. But honestly, anything you pick is a jackpot of flavor.

The food here is great and the staff are amazing! Best gyro I’ve had in awhile and the freshest dates I’ve had in a long time. Some folks might just see another Mediterranean restaurant- but this place obviously puts a LOT of effort into quality food and service!

We stopped in in our road trip for an alternate to fast food. The portions were large and the food tasted fresh. The staff were patient and friendly, the manager offered my kids books to read while we waited on our food to go. We were able to sample the sauces to decide what we wanted. They seem to be very connected to the community and community service oriented. I wish we were local so we could eat here more often. I go the schwarma sandwich with feta, my husband got a gyro bowl and my kids got the kids schwarma and rice. I also got the south tea (peach and strawberry) and it was delicious without being too sweet. (If you are from the south this is NOT sweet tea but black tea with flavored syrups)

I have actually been coming here for the past couple of years and they are always on time, consistent, friendly and the value for the portion is fantastic. I actually cater this in for office meetings and other lunch & learns I provide for work and it's always a hit. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Well, we started off with dessert! Thankfully Magnolia (Maggie, owner and if she isn't she should be because she cared about our experience from the moment we walked in until we left) picked our dinner options for us (our request and we have no idea what we got but my husband said for like the first time ever that he would come back to the same place again) and made sure we were 100% more than happy - and i was so happy to find out they have gluten-free na'an! Added bonus! I think she could have picked absolutely anything on the menu and it would have been delicious. This place just cares, you'll be in good hands (closes at 8pm so go early).

The service, atmosphere and food were a very pleasant surprise. I haven't had a Gyro taste this wonderful since I was in Athens. The Chicken was perfectly prepared, seasoned and grilled with the Shirazi Salad a very tasty surprise. The side of mild tzatziki with the grilled pita keeping it all together was absolutely perfectly portioned. I added a side of feta for my herb treated, unsalted fries and it was a good call. The refreshing Texas Classic Shaker Ice Tea was a good compliment as was the delicious baklava which rounded out my meal. If I can't be in Greece, I will always enjoy the delicious, authentic Mediterranean food at Cello. Looking forward to trying something else from the menu. My new fav!

Nestled in the heart of Wyoming, Cafe Istanbul is a delightful gem that has been serving up authentic Mediterranean flavors for over a decade. Founded by Nassar and Itedal Akkad, this charming cafe and deli emerged from Itedal's quest for quality ingredients to create her own recipes. The establishment proudly offers halal meats sourced from a certified supplier in California, ensuring every dish meets high standards.
My husband and I stopped at this little hole In The wall looking for some good Mediterranean Grub. The proprietors were friendly, the food was fantastic. An added plus, there is a well stocked grocery attached. We were impressed by the quality of the food as well as the sincerity of the staff. We will be returning.

The food is pretty good here. I had the kabobs. The meat was a little bit dry but was still very tasty. They have really delicious rice. My meal came with hummus which was good. Attached to the restaurant is a grocery store that has a ton of Mediterranean stuff in it.

I ordered the gyro and it was delicious. The dolmas were also very fresh. Compared to other Mediterranean spots in the city the prices are unbeatable. They also have a store attached which I found some delicious Persian desserts. I was warmly greeted upon entering and treated so kind the whole time. I’ll definitely be back!

Sat, 9/21/24 this was my first time going here based off the reviews I read and because I had a taste for a good gyro sandwich. This is a store/restaurant. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the prices are very good/reasonable. I got the lamb gyro. It was very good, it was made fresh so it was hot and all the ingredients were fresh. My husband got the chicken kabob sandwich and he said his sandwich was very good as well. We also decided to try some of the desserts and they were delicious as well. So I highly recommend giving Cafe Istanbul a try whenever you're in the mood for some good Mediterranean food.

You might not expect the wonderful food to be here in this very unassuming Cafe, attached to a grocery store, but it's well worth going! Hubby & I went for late lunch & only 1 other table then 2 had other diners. We had the chicken shwarma wrap w/fries & drink. And we shared a spinach pie. So delicious!! Flavorful & hot, served quickly. So friendly & welcoming, and I'm already thinking of what to get next time. A man even came around with a beautiful coffee at the end of the meal. Delicious with herbal flavors to brighten the strong coffee flavor. I only had a sip, next time I will have one for myself. By the time we were finishing our meal, the place was busy with a line of people ordering to go meals. So glad to see such nice folks succeeding, we have been shopping at the grocery since moving to ABQ 2 years ago!

We love Cafe Istanbul for our Mediterranean food needs. Their deli is the best - best hummus, babaganoush, tzatziki, fattires, kebabs (chicken and lamb are delicious), olives, and feta. The store also had a wide variety of groceries - Persian cucumbers, pita bread, baklava, olives, spices, and much much more. The owner and staff are friendly and always gracious.

Nestled in the heart of Nob Hill, Albuquerque, MTucci's Bar Roma is a recent addition to the expanding MTucci's empire. Housed in the historic Jones Motor Company building, this Italian eatery offers an array of delectable dishes and captivating cocktails. The menu features enticing libations like the Deep Eddy Grapefruit Mule and Aperol Spritz, alongside unique concoctions such as No Thyme to Yuz, incorporating thyme and yuzu citrus.
what a lovely delicious wonderful meal in a convivial atmosphere, on the patio, in front of this "second life" gas station turned top tier Italian Roma restaurant. Executive Chef & Sous Chef are making all the right calls here . when applicable, menu items clearly marked gluten free & organic . Great Wine List ! the touches - blackberries, capons, meringue on the gluten free mocha cheesecake - - the pickled onions & goat cheese on our salad - can't say enough about it all . Thank you for opening a true restaurant without screens everywhere - with linen napkins & great service .

We had dinner at M'tucci's Bar Roma with our daughter & son-in-law Friday night. Overall it was pretty good. We had a 6:00 reservation and waited about 8 minutes for a table. We were seated at a table near the door and then immediately asked to get up and move to the table beside it. Our waiter Zach was polite and professional. We ordered drinks. They arrived in a timely manner. My wine was good (not great). My husband had the hanger steak rubbed with espresso from the specials. It came with an autumn vegetable medley. His meal was fantastic. My daughter and I both ordered the eggplant parm. Hers came with two quite large slices, mine with two very small slices. The eggplant was cooked beautifully. It was crisp and had wonderful texture and flavor. The pasta that came with it, however, strange texture and dry. I asked for some marinara sauce to try to make it less dry and Zach was happy to bring some sauce. I thought the ambiance was nice. It was clean and pleasant, not too bright, not dim lighting.

I always enjoy a meal or dessert here. Today, I discovered their $16 lunch menu, complete with a lemon cookie. More on that later. For a starter, I got a delightful tomato hummus and mozzarella with carmelized onions and raisins, with olive oil drenched crispy sourdough toast. Wonderful blend of tastes and textures. Yum! The entree was chicken Milanese, a breaded, crispy fried breast cutlet with a dollop of riccota on top, plated with spaghetti covered in light cream sauce with tomato sauce on the edges. The lunch special includes a lemon cookie, which I believe would be much better without the very thick, overly sweet icing-I had to pull the icing off to enjoy the cookie. Pastry chef, this is an appeal for no icing on this fine cookie.

The food was pretty good. The appetizers were better than the mains. We were disappointed with the spicy arabiatta as it was too al dente. The Pasta Tartufo was good. The waiter was busy this evening and it took much more time to get things we had asked for.

I came in for a solo Tuesday night dinner around 8 PM and was greeted right away with warmth and professionalism. The staff kindly directed me to the bar (open seating), and I loved the vibe: relaxed, good energy, not too crowded, and easy to settle in without feeling crammed. I ordered the artichoke and leek dish along with the Amaro Glazed Ribs from the happy hour menu, and wow, the ribs were the standout. They fell right off the bone and had that signature New Mexican flavor. Not spicy, just deeply flavorful, rich, and comforting. The kind of dish that reminds you why local flavor matters. The ribs alone would bring me back. To drink, I had the Baroma cocktail, which was absolutely delicious. It had this beautiful, spiced complexity without overwhelming heat. Just enough kick to keep things interesting, and I’d recommend it without hesitation. I also had a glass of Gruet sparkling wine, which paired nicely with everything and felt like a little local nod. One great surprise: happy hour runs all night on Tuesdays and isn’t just small bites, as it includes full dishes and craft cocktails, and the portions are generous. The beef tips caught my eye but will have to wait for next time. They looked like a full dinner plate for just eight bucks. This was my second visit to M’tucci’s Bar Roma, and both times the staff has been kind, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Whether you’re going solo like I did or with friends, it’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable right away. It’s rare to find somewhere that hits the trifecta of great service, great food, and a laid-back atmosphere without any pretension. If I had one tiny suggestion: a touch more lighting at the bar might help bring out the color and presentation of the food, because it deserves to be seen as much as tasted :) Whether you’re a local or just passing through Nob Hill, this is a gem worth making time for. I’ll definitely be back!

I went here for brunch with 8 adults and 1 child. It was a friend's birthday. Right off we're given water with cucumbers in it. Our party has a person who is allergic to cucumbers, so we asked if different water could be brought out to them due to this. The waiter seemed annoyed by this. Our food came and again it was requested that non cucumber water be brought out. Finally that request was fulfilled. Next the mother of the child asked what fruits and vegetables were available, as she wanted to order a side of fruit and veggies for her son. Once again the waiter seemed annoyed by this request. If it was a problem to order sides of fruits and veggies, just say its not offered. It's that easy. I had the eggplant benedict. Unfortunately it was overcooked a gooey. I did not send it back or bring it up, since it seemed our water was already bothered by us. I just didn't finish it after a couple bites. We also had the bloody mary bar. It was was first bloody mary bar experience. It was pretty good. Overall, I do not think I will ever return for brunch.

Dōrothéa Fine Greek offers a blend of traditional Greek and Persian cuisine, featuring dishes like ghimeh bademjoon and fesenjoon. The restaurant focuses on tea and features a samovar bar, while the patio serves as a hookah den.
My family and I have now had several incredible experiences at Dorothea. We loved and admired how the owner, Nicole, came to our table to explain how special each item on the menu is - no use of seed oils, fish flown in from Greece, etc. it’s such a personal touch and made us feel valued that she takes the time to come to our table and speak with us. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the servers are overly kind and attentive, and I cannot say enough about the food. We have enjoyed the perfect lamb shank over orzo, the mouthwatering tomahawk steak, and several other dishes that left us wanting to make this a special, weekly visit for us. I will recommend Dorothea for years to come. Nicole clearly has the heart and passion of her father in all her restaurant ventures. Stop in and be wowed for yourself; you will not be disappointed.

We've been to Dorothea multiple times and each times is better than the last! Wait staff was very knowledgeable, service has improved, and food is always fantastic. Excellent cocktails (Manhattan was killer!) and starters. Lamb shank is always really delicious and their specials (both food and drink) have been great each time. Recommend calling ahead for a reservation.

A comfortable elegant interior. I like the candles. I went for happy hour in the bar and the candles on the tables were very pretty and made it look very elegant. I just can't find very much on the menu that I want to eat. I wound up having the lamb meatballs and they were kind of dry and tough and crumbly I guess because it was lamb. Very limited happy hour drinks and no happy hour food although there are shareable plates.

One of the best restaurants in Albuquerque! It is absolutely amazing. The food is fresh, and there is passion in every dish! The decor is on point, and drinks are innovative and creative using fresh ingredients in every single thing on the menu. It Tastes like a little piece of grease. The only Greek salad I’ve had that reminds me of Santorini. It’s clean staff is friendly and I always have great service. I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

Went to the restaurant tonight for the first time . It was a very wonderful meal I had the lamb lollipops, with Greek fries. My lady friend had the clam and the saga naki, and we had the crab mound app. We bought a bottle of wine. They have a very nice and intimate wine list. It was a wonderful meal. The only thing that threw me off was a heated baklava, which was good, but the heat they were karmalized the sugar and cinnamon. And that was the only thing that was very different from what I grew up eating. All in all, it's a wonderful experience.I will be back and recommend it for all.

Observed table next to us be brought out their to go entree seconds after their steaks were brought out instead of closer to when they finished. This was at 8:17 and server said it's because the kitchen wanted to close. They close at 9. Also was sweeping around two other tables that early also. They claim they are fine dining, but in fine dining world both these things would be egregious behavior.

Housed in mural-painted shipping containers, it offers an eclectic mix of experiences including a Santa Fe Brewing Co. taproom, an arcade, and rotating local food vendors such as Guava Tree Cafe offering Caribbean sandwiches, Cake Fetish, and Amore pizza. The outdoor seating areas provide stunning views of the desert landscape to the west.
My wife and I had never eaten here, but I have to say that we really enjoyed this place. There are plenty of choices for eating. I ate at the Kukri and was happy with my meal choice. My wife ate at On the Flip, she got a hamburger and she enjoyed it. I got the two chicken strip slider sandwich and fries, and it was good. Will go back again and recommend this place.

I typically enjoy this place but it's pretty disgusting that the plants are covered in dust right above guests eating. It's not hard to get a ladder and wipe them down before you open. Also, poor plants, imagine being suffocated with dust. It's clearly been sitting and collecting dust for a while.

Great, inventive space with a handful of options for food. They slay also have a beer haven which has a load of choices.
Joseph R — Google review
Tin Can Alley is a premium venue in a high-end part of town with friendly, generous customers. Most tenants act like they know that. Pho Kup doesn’t. They post an 8:00 pm closing (while others stay open until 9–10), and on busy nights they often start shutting down early, telling guests they "ran out of food" and turning people away well before closing. It leaves the clear impression that the priority is clocking out, not serving guests. That’s strip-mall-on-a-Tuesday energy, not a packed Friday next to Santa Fe Brewing when people are enjoying drinks and still ordering food. The weekend crew looks eager to bolt, the lights go half down before 8, and the service vibe is “last call” long before it should be. It reflects poorly on Tin Can Alley to let one vendor lower the bar for everyone else. Management: please enforce consistent hours and guest-first service standards—or give this location to a pho operator who understands how fortunate they are to be here. I’ll happily amend or remove this review if practices change.

The Honey Baked Ham Company is a family-owned chain that offers a variety of ready-to-serve smoked hams, turkeys, roasts, side dishes, and desserts. The store also features exotic sweets with flavors like pistachios, honey, and rosewater. Customers can enjoy a range of products at affordable prices while the staff takes COVID-19 precautions seriously. Visitors have praised the delicious ham sandwiches and pies available for purchase at this establishment.
We ordered a honey baked ham for Christmas dinner. The store was very accommodating when I put the wrong date for our order and we were still able to change it and pick it up Christmas Eve. They even took the time to show us how to reheat it if we wanted to or we could just leave it out for room temp. The crunchy sweet topping was as I remembered it. Everyone at our table enjoyed it.
David V — Google review
I went here to get a ham last minute because Cracker Barrel did not honor its advertised promise to cater through Christmas day and was out of food by the 22nd of December. I live paycheck to paycheck like most people, I tried 3 stores before ending up at this place, which I had never heard of. I'm glad I went. However, the meat itself was excellent. I got the turkey and the ham. It comes smoked so you don't have to cook it. Technically, you don't even have to heat it up. You can serve it cold or room temperature because it's already cooked and it's cooked very thoroughly. The glaze and the cutting were perfect. It's the first of January, and I'm still making turkey sandwiches to get through the last of what we have. The meal I got came with 4 sides. The sides aren't anything special. They're good, don't get me wrong. They're basically fancy TV dinner casseroles. Picture like Marie Calenders family sized Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, etc, but more fancy and a little smaller. It was enough for everyone at our small get-together to have a nice plate and some leftovers. The meats stole the show for sure. So it's great if you want to have some meat and stuff for the holiday, there's no reason to cook your own ham or turkey when you can buy them already cooked and probably better than you'd make it anyway. Unless you have your own smoker, I'd highly recommend buying the ham and turkey for whatever occasion, but probably skipping on the sides and making your own. The sides are where you have fun cooking anyway, so I think that'll be a smarter way to do it next time. I wasn't too impressed with the service and the kind of employees they have. Some of them looked like they were recruited fresh from the county jail. I'm talking, tattoos on necks. And not even the men. It was the woman at the register! Not exactly screaming "holiday spirit," but I digress. The service itself wasn't bad, just mediocre. A lack of eye contact, leaning on the counter, low talking, low energy, that type of thing. It also wasn't explained to me why the same food I ordered online cost an extra ten dollars when I went to the store to pick it up. To be fair online, there is a warning (after you pay) that says the final price may be different when you show up. I thought, okay, maybe local taxes or whatever. No, it was just ten dollars more expensive. Absolutely no explanation on that, on the receipt or by the staff who didn't know. I'd enjoyed the food itself, and that's what's really holding up the review. Because I didn't have to stick around and eat there, I can accept that service and atmosphere aren't the biggest factors.

If you want ham hocks for your beens you have to try this. They have great ham hocks with just the right smoke flavor with a good portion of ham for your beens. TRY THEM. AWESOME.

I have bought ham in this store several times, and it's always good. Yesterday I tried the Original Ham sandwich, and a caramel apple walnut pie. The sandwich was great (5 stars) - I must remember next time to specify mustard as my condiment. Yes, I know, mustard is for roast beef, mayo is for ham. But I don't like mayo, and I do like mustard. It goes on all my fast food burgers and sandwiches. The pie, although it was extremely tasty, like most commercial pies, it's a LOT more crust than apple. I wish pie makers would get that right. Believe me, we notice when you don't. So three stars for the pie, giving a 4-star rating overall. I will continue to get ham from here, though. It's delish!

Ok so.. Although the man that was working yesterday when my mother picked up the food (around 10:30am) giggled like an idiot because she thought she was going to have to carry out the food herself. She thought he was off his rocker a bit…. But other than that, the food was phenomenal!!! Everything was great!!! Thank you!

I preordered a boneless half ham and when I went to pick it up on 12/23/2024 they were all gone and I was given a bone in quarter ham in replacement. I did not want a bone in ham at all, that is why I preordered and paid for my ham in advance. I was told this was somehow an upgrade option but not at all what I ordered. When I asked what had happened to my ham I was told that everything went so quickly this year they were all gone?? Then why let me preorder in the first place? I will most likely not be returning next year unless there is some way to ensure people who preorder actually get their order. I don’t know why my ham was sold before I got there?

Lounge 201 and Patio is a lively bar and restaurant nestled in the heart of Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The highlight of this establishment is its outdoor patio area, offering breathtaking views of the city. Guests can savor delectable food and drinks while taking in the vibrant atmosphere. The bar's staff are highly praised for their exceptional service, with bartender Mercedes standing out for her professionalism and skill.
Staying at the double tree, I ate here instead of going out, and it was pretty sweet. It was a top notch old fashioned, and the breaking bad salad. My server handled business, taking care of me and other people really well. I’m happy I stayed to eat and saved the time.

Was there during the Albuquerque Comic Con After-party at Doubletree. Fantastic hotel bar! Cool bar setup, nice lobby, etc. but the reason this place is so great is the staff. Especially bartender Mercedes! She's a hell of a bartender, pours a solid drink, and in the midst of all the craziness of the con, with celebrities and other freaks dressed in costume, Mercedes was calm, cool, and collected. She took care of the bar like a seasoned pro (I'm guessing she can't be more than 25, if that.) The only problem I have is that she wasn't working Sunday, the last day of the con! Thank you Mercedes and the staff of the lounge and of Doubletree hotel!

This is my 2nd time at this Doubletree Hotel in Albuquerque, NM. Each time I've had a great experience at the lounge. This is my first time having Michelle as the bartender and I must say she elevates the experience, has great customer service, and an awesome personality!! I truly enjoyed her!!!

We were pretty impressed with the restaurant within a hotel. We needed a quick stack, and this place was able to provide a really really excellent burger. The food of Albuquerque is green hatch chile, and the burger was covered in a spicy, tangy chile. They cook it with water, and their fries are actually pretty good: crispy and fresh. The other times I’ve eaten here in the past, I’ve had good experiences (good nachos and loaded fries, both covered in that chile.

We had an interesting addition to black history month here yesterday. I'd picked this hotel bar for a meeting because it had some outdoor seating and we were meeting around sunset time. The menu online looked decent and the reviews raved of the bar. They handled us walking in like a bomb. The server was normal, the manager was on pins and needles as soon as we walked up. She walked back with the server when she gave us a menu and was interrogating us about our purpose in being here, if we actually planned on ordering food, if we had a larger group coming, etc. We were the only people in the room to start. I'm latina, my husband and his business partner are black. It was noticeably making our blonde manager very uncomfortable. She went from interrogating us to responding to things we were saying to each other like she was adding help. Then she came up with the server again to take our order like we needed to be handled specially. She's not doing this for any other table (2/3 groups had shown up without the dramatics) and there's 3 people. Her server did not need help to take our order. We left. We told her that the vibes were making us deeply uncomfortable and we no longer wanted to be there. I left a dollar on the table for the server and we left without trying anything. Other than the obvious unspoken rules here, the space was cute. Not that I'd consider staying at the double tree after this, other wise a brand I was fond of.

Got there late, just before closing, staff was understanding and we still got great service. Chef is amazing, delicious entrees.

Didn't have food but both nights we had drinks they were good. Girls behind the bar are funny and seemed to have a good time. Outdoor patio area is nice and relaxing on a cool night.
