1Montego Bay Old Fort Craft Market

Scrapbooking store
The Montego Bay Old Fort Craft Market is housed in a historic 17th-century stone structure that once served as an artillery fort. It now hosts between 180 and 200 vendors offering a diverse array of handicrafts, including jewelry made on the spot and custom-made items. Visitors can explore the market's historical significance while shopping for unique souvenirs. The market is known for its lively atmosphere and offers a variety of handmade goods, although some items may be lower quality imports.
Lovely merchants with a lot of real Jamaican products in their nice huts. Good atmosphere and worth visiting. No hustle, no pressure, but cute things: figurines, small instruments, bags, clothes, magnets and so much more. Take Jamaican money, but $US is possible, too. We (Germans) liked this market a lot
Ute R — Google review
We went on a weekday and were some of the only tourists there - if not the only ones. Everyone was very friendly, but they all constantly insisted you go inside their store - which is fine until you realized that they all essentially sold the exact same collection of trinkets (there were 2 stores that were exceptions, but there were over 100 total). All the stuff looks like it comes from the exact same factory, and many of them will tell you that their nephew crafted the items, etc. there is nothing craft about it. A handful of the store owners were very pushy / annoying, but everyone was friendly. Some of the stuff was extremely overpriced - more expensive then the resort gift shop, though we understood that they want to capitalize on the tourists money so it wasn't a bother. We did end up purchasing a few items from a couple of nice ladies. I wouldn't recommend making a day trip to see this market, but it might be worth a 30 ish minute stop if you're already in the area. Note, absolutely there is no real gold or silver sold here, although certain shopkeepers will try to tell you otherwise 👀
Diego J — Google review
The reason I went it’s because it’s a local craft market and I support small businesses. Especially when I’m on vacation I would prefer local stuff. So as soon as we step out of the vehicle, people are gonna start to escort you to their stall. Literally everyone will tell you to see their stall. My husband just had a bad experience when one of the guys who was selling a bamboo cup because he didn’t have enough cash so he paid card and they charged him additional fee around 13%. So if you go to the local market or craft bring cash.
Teena T — Google review
The experience was really nice. The ladies were very friendly, and they are willing to let you bargain on the price s of the merchandise.
Jo W — Google review
Go see Kerry, shop 129! She was so nice and easy to buy from. All the ladies were lovley, and they would love to negotiate. Get a beer and shop. If you like the feel of a tiny market, then try this place.
Virginia — Google review
Old and authentic spot in Montego Bay. Local artists working on street, lots of colorful souvenirs of any kind, even cold Red Stripe 🍻 offered from vendors. If you are coming to Montego Bay this is place must to see. 💕
MARIO S — Google review
I'll never return. The vendors were aggressive. It was not an enjoyable visit.
Robert L — Google review
Other than every shop owner wanting you to buy from them and feeling like they were very pushy for you to come into their shop, i enjoyed my shopping experience. I purchased some great souvenirs to bring back home.

2Harbour Street Craft and Cultural Village

Harbour Street Craft and Cultural Village is a bustling open-market area in Jamaica, popular among cruise ship passengers. It offers a wide variety of Jamaican-made products and souvenirs, including straw hats, bags, wooden platters, musical instruments, beads, carved objects, and toys. The market has a rich history dating back to the 1600s when it served as a place for locals to exchange goods and sell their livestock.
Be ready. A LOT OF VENDORS selling the same ir almost the same merch. I just came here looking for magnets. I decided to speak to like 4 different people about prices. I finally got my souvenirs from the sweet Jamaican lady at unit 139. The rest of them were selling magnets starting at $5 and up. I got 8 items and she gave me a good price! Give this lady some business!!! She is the sweetest. This is the place for you to buy your souvenirs. Don’t wait till you get to the airport (where you get charged $11 and up for 1 magnet).
Veronica A — Google review
Below expectations. Nice and colorful but most vendors sell the same things which don’t give artisanal vibes, with few exceptions.
Davide A — Google review
Went in very early, around 9:00 am, and shops were just opening. The ambiance, colors, and vibes are good, as well as the artifacts. Be prepared to bargain, and invariably, you will be fleeced. Vendors swarmed us and tried to power sell. Though it is not intimidating, we ended up buying and paying more. There is one section where the goods were not in stalls, but on the floor and tables. Here, the prices and vendors were reasonable, and we enjoyed in this section than in the stalls where we felt we were being robbed. In the end, we had good coconut water / jelly, a nice couple were selling the. Then, a taxi driver charged us he would have done for locals. He knew we were tourists, still was magnanimous. You get good and bad people everywhere. Bottom line: Goods good, but you have to bargain. They expect you to bargain. Hence, jack up the prices.
Arun N — Google review
The merchants were plentiful and a bit aggressive, but I managed to find some nice souvenirs without spending too much money.
Renee W — Google review
I really like this place because these are locals just trying to make a livingselling things that they crafted. Some may say that the sellers are aggressive, but I think there's a lack of knowledge on why they hustle so hard. Some of these people don't make any money for days. Tourists aren't led to them; we're taken to shops that aren't even owned by Jamaicans; led to people who are already financially stable. They are very nice people, and if others took the time to have a conversation, they would have a better understanding of the culture & their struggle. Remember, this is paradise to us but still a 3rd world country to them. Communication is absolutely key.
Sabrina — Google review
Ok… now this craft market is an experience. If you’re looking for things to do, want to connect with the people, or just get out of your hotel/resort this is a solid destination. Extreme shoppers that value culture come here! Now if your bougie, don’t like to talk to people or just don’t wanna be bothered, don’t come here lol! Yes the sellers can be pushy but hey they’re salesman/women it is what it is. If you have a keen eye you can spot really special things (hand carved dice, Marcus Garvey artifacts, unique handmade art) however, many vendors are selling the same or similar items. I felt safe, a bit overwhelmed, but glad I visited. Great stop for small gifts, shirts, keychains, magnets, or anything that says JAMAICA! And to the vendors… relax mon!
MJ W — Google review
They had good stuff but most of the vendors are very pushy and there are a ton of vendors so you can't really take time to look at anything in peace. Ended up buying less than we originally wanted to because of the hassle involved. When you need a break from being hounded they have a little cafe with food and red stripes
Cam S — Google review
They were on my nerves. Everybody pretty much had the same thing and was pretty aggressive trying to get you to buy. Couldn't shop in peace at one vendor without the next one one your ash.

Shopping mall
The Montego Freeport Shopping Centre is a well-designed and airy business center with great air circulation. The area integrates well with the natural elements, but it can be a little lonely, as most of the units are private offices. First time visitors may have an issue in finding the buildings.
It was amazing, Carnival Vista was there and it was a new and exciting experience for me. At the back of the building is a huge fish pond with loads of fishes from all different sizes and I got to see a catfish, I think. Smile.
Shanike M — Google review
They did have some nice street performers providing entertainment while you shopped. The ice cream shop was very delicious on a 90° day.
Ryan K — Google review
It's a great architectural space. Good air circulation throughout the shop spaces. The area also integrate very well with the natural elements. The area can be a little lonely though as the units are mainly private offices. One of the disadvantages is that first time visitors may have an issue in finding the buildings that want base.

Eye ear nose clinic. The doctor is very thorough and professional, but every time I go there with an appointment I still have at least 2 hours wait in a crowded room. It's very unpleasant. Edit. I've been waiting for 2 years for their reply, kept asking and being asked to call back, no reply, blame game etc. Went elsewhere, got through in 2 weeks. You can't possibly expect me me believe it takes 2 years to have a response from the same insurance that replied to the other clinic in 3 days. Again, the doctor seems very kind, professional and helpful, but the office is terrible..I'm glad I went somewhere else.
Mary F — Google review
At first, I thought there was nothing working here, but I realized that there are only a few offices and memories of what was once a popular and pleasant shopping mall...
Claudio M — Google review
I only clicked a star because I couldn't write a review without having to click one. I sent 2 barrels from overseas. Just to find out the one of my barrels were 3/4. They went into my barrel and took alot of stuff out. Spoke to a manager several times. All they could tell me is that they cant do anything. This hurts me to the core cause I had to work my money to send stuff for my family, and this is the bull they tell me.
Meisha B — Google review
Good place with great restaurants and views by the ocean but also filled with offices and not necessarily stores. It’s located just beside the cruise port and could use a bit more enhancements to make it a bit more appealing. It got a bit confusing upon entering the complex as there were no signs or directories to guide us as to where all the shops were located , which resulted is us going in circles. Apart from that, the center offers you a nice panoramic view of the cruise ships with authentic styled Jamaican stores and restaurants. There is not much to do there in terms of shopping as most stores sell almost the same items and the rest are mainly corporate offices.

It's wonderful place to shop especially when buying souvenirs

Sure! Here’s a polished 200-word Google review based on your text: ⸻ 5 Stars This spot is a one-stop shop for everything you need while in Montego Bay. It’s super convenient — whether you’re looking to exchange currency, grab some souvenirs, or pick up essentials from a well-stocked supermarket. There’s even a pharmacy on-site, which is always a plus when traveling. One of my favorite things about this place is the availability of fresh smoothies — perfect for a quick refresh after a day in the sun. Every time I visit Mo Bay, I make it a point to stop here. The location is well-known, especially among tourists, so it tends to stay busy — but that just speaks to how reliable and useful it is. You’ll find both locals and visitors frequenting the shops, which adds to the vibe. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a regular like me, this place delivers what you need with ease. It’s the kind of spot that makes your trip smoother and more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back on my next visit to Montego Bay — it’s practically a tradition now. Highly recommend for the convenience, variety, and accessibility. Mo Bay forever — I’ll always come back! As for the currency as of today I was able to get 7500 JMD for US $50
International L — Google review
In this place, sellers will try to sell you goods for three or four times their real price. therefore, if the seller says that this thing costs $ 50, offer your price at $ 15 and repeat this amount as a mantra until the seller agrees. when you have agreed on the price you need, prepare cash, because cards are not accepted everywhere. well, if you want to pay with a card and they accept it, then they will want to add tax to the cost of the goods. and in general, it is in every market and in every shopping center. there is one trading scheme everywhere. they will smile at you at first, and if you don't want to buy anything, you will most likely be cursed in the end.
Elena — Google review
The blue diamond shopping centre has various shops. The shops that we were taken to were for tourists so they were a bit overpriced.

The Ahhh...Ras Natango Gallery and Garden is a cultural hub that was transformed from a barren rocky hillside by Ian Williams in 1988. The gallery, which showcases local paintings and crafts, is surrounded by terraced gardens that attract a variety of birds. Visitors can enjoy the botanical garden as well as learn about the history and culture of the area. The attraction has become known for its unique atmosphere and is highly regarded among those who appreciate gardens and art.
We had a wonderful time. The garden is stunning and the family who built it are so welcoming. The art they have created is beautiful and we had a home cooked meal. They can also connect you with a driver. Highly recommend, especially if you are interested in supporting the local communities.

This experience is a gem! I originally booked on Airbnb and had the host was so kind and understanding when I needed to reschedule my booking. This garden is run by a creative family trio and their talents in art and passion for botany shines through every aspect of the tour. They are also incredibly warm and welcoming, and very knowledgeable of the flora and birds - you will leave relaxed and well-informed. Ahhh...Ras natango Gallery and Garden was a fantastic and fun activity as a solo explorer but I could also see this being a really cute daytime date. As a bonus, there are some fun hidden gems for kids to discover along the way in the garden. The views are beautiful, the birds are friendly, fountain is meditative and photos don't quite capture the magic – you need to experience it for yourself!

Wonderful experience today at the botanical gardens. The owner and his wife and son were so knowledgeable and generous And kind, just good vibes all around. We loved the tour Through the Gardens. It was a great experience for us.We would definitely recommend.

Visiting Ahhh…Ras Natango Gallery and Garden was an unforgettable experience. It was inspiring to listen to Ras share the story of how this vision came to life, adding so much depth to the visit. The garden itself is immaculate, full of vibrant colors and peaceful spaces, and feeding the birds was such a joyful and unique experience. The art gallery is just as beautiful, showcasing creativity and passion at every turn. This is truly a must-visit spot in Montego Bay — a perfect blend of nature, art, and story.
Williams A — Google review
This garden is a well-hidden treasure of biodiversity and humanity. It's an entire experience. The owners and their son together taught us the history of the place and their interactions with the people of Montego Bay, the different plants, how to behave in nature (with a touch of spirituality). There are plenty of pieces of art spread out inside the garden, and so much creativity it makes you want to become an artist. If you want to purchase the owners' work, there is a gallery at the end of the tour. Both of the owners are very talented. The place is suitable for children too. I will let the owners tell you why :) The lovely humming birds accompany you during your journey, and they don't hesitate to perch on your hand (you won't ever forget the sensation). The place is so quiet and relaxing, you will return refreshed. The garden is very well maintained and the diversity of it is exceptional. If you come to Jamaica, you should definitely go there!

Ahh Rastnatango Gallery and Garden is a TRUE HIDDEN GEM! I'm so grateful for the warm accommodation and exceptional tour experience. As a nature lover, I was blown away by the creativity and educational value of this incredible spot. Our tour guide was AMAZING, sharing the rich history and award-winning stories behind this gem. The 1-hour garden tour was a highlight, featuring stunning rock paintings, a charming mini village, and a breathtaking variety of flowers. We also enjoyed the serene pond with vibrant orange fish, feeding the majestic doctor bird, and exploring the gallery's unique paintings – including the incredible eggshell art! The cool high view, top-tier treatment, and affordable pricing made this experience truly unforgettable. Be prepared to be AMAZED! Huge thanks to the wonderful family behind Ahh Rastnatango Gallery and Garden – we can't wait to return!

It's was a wonderful tour of a beautiful garden, an enlightened experience and story behind every area of the garden. The wonderful flora and fauna. Feeding the hummingbirds as a great experience. Each art 🎨🎭 piece having their own story, a picture is worth a 1000 words but these pieces maybe worth 10,000. We loved it

I recently booked this tour through Airbnb Experiences at $35 USD per person. The Airbnb platform made payment and communication easy, and Tamika was prompt and responsive to any questions we had. We even ended up rescheduling our tour due to heavy rains, and she handled it smoothly. Upon arrival, we drove up a steep and narrow road to reach the property. The view was breathtaking, making the journey well worth it. We found parking on the main road at the base of the driveway to the property. Parking on the driveway is not permitted. We walked up the steep driveway and Tamika welcomed us into the gate, as we joined other guests in the sitting area to hear Ras regale us with captivating stories about the property's growth and his artistic journey, leaving us inspired. Tamika guided us through the property, sharing her extensive knowledge about the flora and fauna. We were greeted by friendly hummingbirds and had the opportunity to feed them out of our hands. The property was teeming with dozens of these remarkable creatures, some with the most gorgeous, long tails we’d ever seen. You haven’t lived until you’ve felt a hummingbird land on your finger! After the guided tour of the lush and vibrant property, Ras welcomed us into the gallery/gift shop. His artwork and crafts were on display and available for purchase. After visiting the gift shop, we took our time exploring the diverse plant and tree life, admiring Ras' whimsical painted rocks, sculptures, and natural benches carved from stone and wood. The vibrant colors of the flowers and the peaceful ambiance awakened all our senses. We found the hammocks to be a perfect haven for contemplation and relaxation. The view from the hammocks has to be seen to be believed. Throughout the experience, Tamika and Ras provided excellent hospitality. They offered nature-safe bug repellent and umbrellas for shade. Overall, this 2–3-hour excursion provides a memorable experience for all ages. This property is romantic for couples, educational for families, and safe for singles. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking and climbing stairs. Consider using your voice memo app to record ambient sound to enjoy later. And of course, take lots and lots of photos!

The Fantasy Crafts Market in Montego Bay is a vibrant and colorful destination that captures the essence of Jamaican culture. Visitors can find an array of authentic handmade souvenirs, including musical instruments, straw hats, wood carvings, and vibrant paintings. Located near The Hip Strip, this market offers a more peaceful shopping experience compared to downtown.
Nice souvenir market, sort of in a back allyway, but the people are friendly, they will likely meet you on the street and ask you to come see their shop. I was here 2 times. - One time a guy asked to me see the shop, and i said i was only looking for a Jamaican flag magnet, and he said he had one, so we went, and he did, so i bought it. -Second time i was walking by and a really nice guy was asking me to his shop, i said i wasnt going to buy anything but he still wanted me to see the shop (he thought once i was inside and saw shiny stuff that i would buy it) but i took his card, and pictures of his shop to post here. Overall, good selection of crafts and souvenirs.

A Hidden Gem in MoBay – Support Local! 🌴✨ Fantasy Craft Market is a wonderful spot just off the main road (literally less than a minute’s walk) where you’ll find local vendors selling souvenirs, crafts, and gifts. Yes, you’ll most likely have all the ladies calling out to you to take a look at their stalls—it can feel a bit much in the heat—but please don’t get irritated. These are hardworking women making an honest living, and their warmth really shines through once you stop for a conversation. What’s great is that you can find here what’s sold in the big high-street souvenir shops, but buying at the craft market means your money goes directly to local families. Too often people haggle with these women, yet never question prices at big establishments. Supporting them is not only fair but helps keep local culture alive. The ladies are lovely, welcoming, and kind, and shopping here feels safe and authentic. If you’re in MoBay and want something special to take home, skip the tourist shops and come here—you’ll be supporting the real heart of Jamaica. 💛💚🖤

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. COMMON TOURIST TRAP. They have a guy roaming the area scanning for tourists and then he pretends he met you a fee days ago then brings you to the alley to trick you into buying shitty products for 30 USD, he starts berging for money to see his family and won't take the amount you give him and pushes for more and more. They'll surround you and block your way. He also followed me all the way from the restaurant Irie house to the supermarket, grabbed the stuff I bought at the supermarket and ran to the alles so I'd have to follow him to get my things back. Genuinely avoid getting too casual with any character that says they know you in this area. Just say no and leave. These are not handcrafted items and they don't care about tourists coming back and spending more money in the future. They want as much of your money as possible and they want it NOW.
Marco K — Google review
Definitely can't recommend this place. Three of the vendors persuaded me and my companion to just "give them one minute" and see some real Jamaican culture in the craft market. Turns out, we get dragged into a courtyard with a dozen little shops in total, seemingly all of them selling jewelry and plastic souveniers that for sure were not handmade by the locals. We made our way out from one of the shops but the second hustler was very reluctant to take no as an answer, so we bought a piece of jewelry just to get out. Not a pleasant experience at all.
Elina Ä — Google review
Avoid this place at all costs. The story begins with a friendly lady stopping the traffic to help me and my wife cross the street on our way to the corner shop next door. She asked if we were willing to see her shop as well, and we agreed to do it “maybe after getting the groceries”. The moment we got out from the corner shop, there was the lady and her two agressive friends suggesting we are typical rude western tourist if we do not spare them the minute to look at their hand made art. As it was our first day in Jamaica, we made the quick decision to be nice and have a look. This was a mistake. Instead of a shop, they took us in to a kind of courtyard/gauntlet of huts and hustlers, selling china-imported rubbish, t-shirts, hats, bracelets, bottle openers and magnets, anything in the Jamaican flag colours. It soon became evident that there was no way out without buying. The originally friendly lady telling my wife “don’t worry, as a female I would never put you in danger” pretty well sums the overall vibe in the market. You basically know you are not in danger, but the hustlers make you feel extremely inconvenient and rude if you are not willing to buy their things – things that are definitely not handmade, not local, not crafts and not art. So here we are, in the walk-in-closet-like shop of the originally friendly lady. She blocks the door to ensure that we do not leave without paying. She explains how she is poor, she is pregnant, and she has not sold a single thing that day. We buy a bracelet, and to underline who this scam is designed for, she does not even know its price in Jamaican dollars, only USD which we do not have, as we have traveled to Jamaica, not United States. We pay her 1500 JMD, after which she tells that half of the products are made by her sister, who would also need some sales. Luckily our new bracelet seems to work as an amulet against further agressive sales, and by showing it to all the hustlers, they let us out without making any contact with us. The way we were treated in Fantasy “crafts” market was very disappointing. I understand it is the source of their very modest income, and that getting to sell a $10 bracelet can be the difference if they are having warm meals for their kids or not. However, the solution should be making the market as nice and pleasant to visit as possible, with quality products tourist would be willing to buy. Not selling cheap imported plastic waste by being agressive and rude. For the rest of our stay in MoBay we passed the market from the other side of the street and looked busy to shrug off the hustlers.

Located in the charming Ironshore district of Montego Bay, Whitter Village is a shopping destination that offers a unique and memorable retail experience. The village features a classical cottage aesthetic and is easily accessible by taxi or car. It caters to both locals and tourists, offering an array of dining options, entertainment such as bowling, and trendy fashion outlets. The architecture blends modern design with tropical vibes, creating an inviting atmosphere complete with a gazebo and water feature.
An aesthetically pleasing shopping complex complete with supermarkets, food court and other amenities such as ABMs and pharmacies. It is a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just to sit and chill for the day. It is well kept and out of the hustle-and-bustle of the main town areas.

Nice little outdoor shopping plaza across the street from the RIU hotels in Mobay. I came twice to get souvenirs. I loved green apple and the little adult lingerie store tucked in the corner of the mall. The staff were friendly and helpful in all the shops. The grocery store was perfect. They had flavored red stripe, lots of snacks, local sauces and spices perfect to take home as keepsakes as well. I highly recommend making a stop here. There was also a panda express Chinese food, pizza hut, burger king, KFC an ice cream shop I believe and juice place. I saw the signage for a patty place but must have missed it when I was shopping around.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great experience at Whitter Village! Stopped by while visiting Jamaica and really enjoyed it. Everyone was so friendly, the place was super clean (even the restrooms), and the food was excellent. The beers were cold, and the views were beautiful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Whitter Village, particularly to explore Progressive Foods, a superb supermarket offering an extensive range of produce, meat, fish, liquors, and spirits. However, my experience at Whitter Village extended far beyond just grocery shopping. Whitter Village is a meticulously planned village with a diverse array of shops. This diversity ensures there's something for everyone. Whether you're looking for daily essentials or unique finds, you'll discover it here. One of the standout features of Whitter Village is its convenient location, just off the main road. Access is hassle-free, and the ample parking facilities are a welcome convenience. I found this especially important for a stress-free shopping experience. Moreover, the overall service in the village is commendable. Friendly and helpful staff make your visit enjoyable. It's clear that they take pride in maintaining a high standard of service. In summary, Whitter Village is more than just a shopping destination. It's a well-designed village that offers both convenience and variety. If you're looking for a pleasant shopping experience, look no further. Whitter Village has it all.

Really lovely place to walk around. I wish there was more variety of shops. Excellent the supermarket! I like the architecture and the fountain in the main square.

Beautiful location with great stores and good food. Whitter Village provides a safe space for you to shop with friends and family providing everything you’ll need from supermarkets, banks and ATMs, corporate offices to retail stores, pharmacies, fast food chains and restaurants. It provides both day and night activities that allows you to enjoy yourself after shopping. It boast a beautiful water fountain in the center of the village with relaxing music and comfortable seats if you wish to enjoy the ambiance. Some stores are not cheaply priced as it is an tourist location so keep that in mind when you are shopping.

They absolutely DO NOT answer the darn phones. Fontana has always been one of my fave places to browse in Mobay but I must say the customer service experience has taken a hit. The staff aren’t as welcoming or polite or even as approachable as they use to be.
Danyelle J — Google review
My experience as a man every time I attend one of the many stores across the country is that I am seen as a criminal. It is required that you consent to the searching of your bag upon entering the store or leaving your bag with valuables in it at the counter with no acceptance of liability if someone is missing or damaged in your bag! Yes it is convenient to shop but there is no equality when women with huge purses are allowed while a man with his work bag is seen as a thief. Jamaicans have no dignity? We should boycott this store for it high prices and treatment of citizens of this country
Melton T — Google review
Change Snatchers Female cashiers at Fontana stop stealing people's change. Specifically the cashiers that work at the pharmacy section of Fontana Fairview. You are not entitled to steal my change. This is not the first, second or third time this has happened. I went to Fontana to purchase an item. The cashier gave me back a short change, when i checked the change then told her she proceeded to give me an attitude and start to argue with me about "MY MONEY" and disregarded my request to receive my correct change, then acted like she wanted to shame me for asking for my correct change. This has happened so often i stopped visiting that branch as often as i normally do. This type of behavior has left a bad taste in my mouth. This type of behavior makes us as a ppl look bad and it also makes Fontana look bad and if they care they would do something about it. I have started realizing that men are now offering better customer service than women.

Hello everyone, During my recent trip to Jamaica, I had the pleasure of visiting a jerk spot for a quick bite to eat. I must say, the food had a very authentic Jamaican taste that truly impressed me. Considering today's economic challenges, I found the prices to be reasonable. The customer service was decent, and the overall aesthetics and ambience of the place added to the dining experience. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate this spot an eight. I would not hesitate to visit this location again if I ever find myself back in town. I highly recommend giving it a try for a taste of delicious Jamaican cuisine.

In Jamaica a Pharmacy is like Target you can get a little of anything. I visited Fontana pharmacy which has a little of everything lol, The experience was nice and the U. S. Dollar was @ good rate of $148.00 per U.S.Dollar if you use your 💳 Credit Card. Yes indeed, they are quite over priced but considering import export they have to hike the prices a little. You can get your American snack there they also have a little dining where you can have a most delicious lunch, They have have places to eat outside of Fontana as it’s a plaza. There are Banks, Flow Cable and wireless store, Progressive Grocery Store. A Chinese Restaurant of which I don’t really recommend as the food was not good @ all. There’s juicy beef Pattie’s A Pizza Hut which is absolutely delicious. Wendy’s & a local where the food is cooked already and you choose just like you would in a eatery in local mall in America. Go it’s fun!

We asked our driver for a real life market where locals would shop. He misunderstood and brought us to this sad tourist trap. We were the only ones there, with each shack owner trying to lure us in... If you get there in a slow season (like no one walking around), at least try not to but everything in one place. It'd be so hard to say "no" to other sellers on your way out...

Visited for the 1st time today very impressed👏🏽👏🏽. Best Mall I have seen in Jamaica, high class, similar to the Malls in the city’s abroad and different from the typical plaza design. I always hoped that someone would bring this to Jamaica. It would be even more astonishing if it was located in the Centre of Fairview with more floors and parking spaces, but it is still the best.

Airport
Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica offers a range of amenities including shops, restaurants, a smoking lounge, and free WiFi. The airport has seen an increase in connectivity with several airlines adding routes to Montego Bay. Most visitors to Jamaica arrive at this airport and transportation options such as car rentals, taxis, minibuses, and airport pick-up services are available for getting around the island.
My first time departing from this airport and I’m surprised how much more organized and faster flow it is than in Kingston. It’s definitely setup for touristy type travellers with A LOT of shops and food options. What I cared most about (and wasn’t disappointed in the least) was the efficiency of checking in luggage and getting through security. It was great! The personnel I encountered were friendly and polite with their instructions. As for seating, there’s a lot of room throughout even on seemed like a very busy rush of people.
Asha T — Google review
It was a pretty good experience. Can’t give it a 5-star rating because there are other airports that are definitely better, but I can’t complain about anything from this airport. When we arrived the walk to immigration wasn’t far, the lines were fairly long but moved quickly. The immigration officers were nice and professional. I recommend you take a cab from the taxi booth that clearly shows you the price of any ride. When we were leaving Montego Bay, security was quick, officers are waaay nicer that in the States, and everything went smoothly. It isn’t a state of the art airport but A+ to the designers that did the most with what they had. Very nice!
Rod A — Google review
This airport was really nice as it was my first time visiting Jamaica. We really enjoyed the VIP mobay lounge. The lounge was comfy, had A/C, great drinks, and delicious food. The service was great and we will definitely return.
Cierra — Google review
Very clean and safe airport! Lots of shopping options and eateries! Plenty of time to get in and out for your flights. Very organized. When arriving there are tons of kiosk to get approval with your passport. Do not stand in line. Keep moving til you find an empty one! Sandals had an area to bring your luggage and get refreshments! enjoy the perks of your resort or stay! Very impressive staff! Very professional!
Sandraella C — Google review
The washrooms here are extremely clean, which is a big plus considering how busy the airport gets. The departure area and process felt much more seamless and fluid compared to arrival. The arrival hall, however, definitely needs improvement—it’s far too cluttered and doesn’t leave the best impression. One thing that really stood out: during security checks, passengers in slippers were required to remove them and walk barefoot. In 2025, most modern airports no longer do this, and it’s neither hygienic nor necessary. If someone is wearing boots or heavy shoes, fine—but slippers should be exempt. Overall, it’s not a terrible experience, but it’s not great either. There are clear areas for improvement that could make this airport much more welcoming and efficient.
Edwin A — Google review
Alot of waiting around through customs & immigration could have been a bit smoother and quicker. Once through, finally got our transfer, driver was very polite, helpful and nice but got to the hotel and another driver reversed into his car which delayed us getting into our hotel even though the incident was right outside he had to drop us off at the hotel lobby. All in all, a long day but more than happy to be here and enjoying the sun.
Andrew D — Google review
My experience going through the airport was pleasant. I like the fact that they give you the option to complete customs form online it made for a very seamless experience. Jameeka is still developing country and people need to remember that I’ve been to a lot of developing countries and the sinks to Airportranks pretty well. It’s a standard airport where you don’t wanna be there for too much time because it can get digested.
J M — Google review
The airport was busy, but we got through quite quickly! There are tons of souvenirs to bring back home for the family if you didn't get a chance to shop on your trip. There are also lots of good food accommodations and easy to understand. Make sure to bring a portable fan for the lines, though. It can get a bit hot in there.
