Authentic food, large portions, reasonable prices and friendly quick service. We enjoyed a lovely lunch here. The menu is large and if we had time I would have loved to go again to try more items. The squid & zucchini had an amazing black garlic sauce - so delicious! The fried cheese with honey was hot, crispy and gooey. Highly recommended!

This restaurant deserves the hype. The food is excellent, the service is very fast, even when the restaurant is packed. However, what I truly disliked was the constant cigarette smoke that I sensed during the whole dinner. Being a terrace, smoking is allowed, but since the tables are so close one to another, it feels like your neighbor is blowing the smoke straight to your nose. This really made the experience not so enjoyable.

The most memorable dinner! The service and hospitality of the staff was unlike anywhere I have ever been. They were so welcoming and so kind. AMAZING!!! We had such an amazing meal, it was packed but staff were attentive, chatty and caring. The food and the people were incredible. Mikaelis was a fantastic server!! Everyone was super friendly and it has made for a very memorable evening. Definitely one to go to if you’re in Agios Nikolaos.

We came to Karnagio after seeing many great recommendations, and it was definitely worth the visit. We waited in line for about 30 minutes, but once we were seated, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. It’s a bit loud and crowded, so not exactly a romantic spot - but we still really enjoyed the experience. The portions are generous and satisfying! We had the fried artichoke, which was a bit too salty for our taste, but everything else was just fantastic.

Absolutely amazing. Very well priced plates with complex and rich flavours. After trying about 10 dishes, everything was absolutely delicious : fried calamaries, Moussaka croquettes, grilled octopus, amazingly tender veal stew, flavourful apaki, etc. Without mentioning the free appetizers and delicious desserts. It would be a mistake not to try this restaurant. I wish the owners would open a restaurant like this in Montreal - I would go all the time! Furthermore, the staff was great with kids and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The restaurant is busy, but everything is perfectly orchestrated to be efficient and service is spot on. My boyfriend has travelled in over 50 countries in his life, eating in many different kinds of restaurants along the way, and this is now his favorite restaurant! Wonderful dining experience. We walked in on spec and were delighted to be offered a corner table overlooking the lake. Waiters were attentive (but not overly so), great food and wine choice. The meal was excellent, I had the sea bass. And their baklava was amazing!

We were 2 days in Agios Nikolaos, and came to this restaurant twice. It’s that good. Once for lunch, once for dinner, with the added pleasure of the Piano Man, who is really good. Food is delicious, service swift & friendly, wine choice is more than fine. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures on day one, and on day 2 only after starting eating. You want to start directly I guess. By the way, the view on the lake is also very nice.

Only had an hour from our Tui excursion to look around the town. Walked into the lake from the port area passed all the cafes and bars at waterside level and looked up to to the balcony of the Piano restaurant and thought that’s the place for a afternoon coffee and cake stop and we were not disappointed. The view was to die for, looked after by 2 very attentive waitresses and the cake and coffee was lovely. Finished of with a beer that was accompanied with peanuts. So wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

The most outstanding restaurant I have been in. Amazing atmosphere and beautiful music that makes your ears cry in joy. The food delicious yet simple has so much complexity in it. 10/10 experience would recommend to anyone who knows what the culinary world is about.

We booked a table at what appeared to be the nicest restaurant in town, attracted by its lovely view of the lake and promise of live piano music, the perfect setting, we thought, for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations. On arrival, we were seated next to a three-year-old’s birthday party, not quite the ambience we had hoped for on such a special evening. Although the children were well behaved, it was far from the intimate, relaxed atmosphere we had imagined. We decided to keep things simple, opting for lighter mains and skipping starters, intending to cut the evening short. Despite this, the service felt hurried, and we couldn’t tell whether it was attentiveness or a push to turn tables. To the restaurant’s credit, the food itself was superb, beautifully presented and full of flavour. However, the rushed pace and misplaced seating left us disappointed overall. What should have been a memorable celebration ended up feeling like an evening we were eager to finish rather than savour.

Me and my boyfriend came here and we were amazed. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. There was (of course) live music from the piano and I loved it. Let's not forget the view, you can look outside the whole time you are eating and you would not get bored. The food was perfect and we enjoyed every bite of it. The way the bill came in a piano box made the whole experience a 10/10!!!! I would recommend making a reservation if you come here.

Great view and amazing staff. The food was excellent. I had the chicken fillet with cream and it was very flavorful. They brought out hummus and bread that was warm and watermelon for a sweet treat. I would highly suggest this location.

A great authentic restaurant that serves Italian and Greek dishes. The atmosphere is nice and the servers are especially welcoming. They give you some small compliments to your dish (like hummus, watermelon), which is very nice. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Lovely authentic greek restaurant located at the beach with view at the Ammos harbor. Very friendly staff. The food was really fresh. Recommend the greek oysters, shrimps and mixed veggies platter. You may get a visit by the local stray cats.

Manages to have an excellent green space and a trendy environment at the lakeside! Importantly it avoids being a tourist trap like many of the other restaurants with reasonable prices and great food and arguably better views of the lake. Highly recommended.

Food was wonderful! We tried the egg croissant, triple rye chicken sandwich, and the red velvet pancakes. Everything was very fresh and delicious, but the red velvet pancakes truly stood out! The location and atmosphere is wonderful, we went there for breakfast, but I’m sure their lunch & dinner menus are phenomenal! Breakfast is served between 09:00-12:30, and everything else continues to be served until 23:30. Highly recommended!

Wow! What a wonderful place! The lovely hostes is sn artist, and the place is beautiful and full of her original, lovely and interesting pieces - everywhere! Even in the toilet! And the food is amazing! And, the prices are fair!

This terrace is a hidden gem in the city, offering a chill atmosphere with a beautiful view, relaxing music, and a charming arty-rustico design. We only had desserts and coffee, but everything was delicious and nicely presented. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a quiet moment

Agios Nikolaos hidden gem. Amazing flavours and Elena and Nikos are very welcoming. The special pizza was SO tasty…..I’d definitely recommend. If you come to Agios Nikolaos and don’t visit Sirocco it would be a mistake!

Beautiful atmosphere. Calm hidden spot towering above the view of the marina. Run by husband and wife who are so pleasant and warm. The best pizza you’re going to taste! I ordered the vegetarian pizza, baked to perfection. Flavours well put together p.s. Definitely try their homemade lemon drink! So refreshing. Had to visit twice (in one day).

This family-run restaurant was recommended to us by our Booking host, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We went the first time planning to have pizza, and returned for a second visit. One of the best pizzas we’ve ever had — fluffy crust, simple but high-quality ingredients, very tasty. Keep in mind that the restaurant is closed from 4 PM to 6 PM. Highly recommended!

Totally underrated, because it was the best Gyros Pita which I have found on Crete. Taste of the pork Gyros is amazing. Juicy gyros with crispy, roasted edges and bold grilled flavor.

We ordered a small pizza last night and carried home for a snack. The young man working this evening said only large one to take away. Went around the corner to the wood fired pizza place and ordered their small to take away. Twice as large for a couple euros more and delicious! Thanks to the young man for the refusal and referral! Much better service to boot!

I went with the idea of ​​trying some local fast food. At first glance, the food is striking due to its photos and the appearance of the establishment. A gray-haired man who appears to be the owner greets you with a face like a shoe, with no intention of serving you. A woman seems to be trying a little harder, although it doesn't feel very natural to her. I ordered a slice of pizza and it was served cold, and for a can of Coke, they charged me €3.50, when in the surrounding area, even in better restaurants, it doesn't go over €2. I don't recommend it at all; on the same street, there are places with much better quality and service.

We had the best chicken gyros and halloumi pita! The portion size is huge, and they have many vegetarian options. For a corner fast food place this is excellent

We ordered what we thought would be a simple meal, and they had the audacity to charge us more for a single slice of pizza than they did for an entire pie! When we tried to politely question this insane discrepancy, the owners were incredibly rude. They were dismissive, condescending, and made us feel like we were the problem for daring to ask about their fraudulent pricing. The food itself was bland and overpriced, but honestly, the outrageous scamming and the owners' disgusting behavior overshadowed everything. Save your money and your sanity; GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!!

Lovely little Taverna in Agios. Manos gave us a warm welcome, looked after us and made for a wonderful evening. Tasty, well presented and gold priced food, matched with the lovely family house wine. The grilled lamb chops were very tasty. Will Come back again when we’re next in Agios Nikolaos!

This is the best place for authentic Cretan food. Very friendly staff and home made cuisine that will leave your tastebuds satisfied! I highly recommend the fried zucchini with cheese on top! And tzatziki, of course Look forward to coming again

Amazing spot, by the sea cozy tables under a ficus tree so lots of shade. Food is absolutely delicious everything we had here over multiple visits was spectacular. Would recommend the tzatziki and zucchini croquettes. Super friendly staff and nice music.

Great traditional Greek tavern for fish or meat , traditional dishes and delicious desserts. A bit outside of the centrum of Agios Nikolaos but worths the visit 100%. Combination of tradition, quality, hospitality! Fully satisfied from the people who are working there too!

Just a fantastic experience l.My husband and I shared the 10 Meze starters. And had two other fish dishes and finished with an amazing baklava dessert. We are full but so satisfied. The fresh ingredients and the attention of the service are key. On top of this, u have an amazing view and a nice fresh terrace under the shade of the trees. It's a must if u are around. It gets busy so we came quite early and we were almost alone. We will come back :)

Great atmosphere and delicious food. Everything was perfect until it came time to pay. When I asked for the receipt, they were reluctant to provide it — I had to insist. Once I finally got it, I noticed it didn’t reflect our actual order: we only had one starter with mushrooms, a mixed grill for two, and a bottle of Kri Kri wine. The person handling the payment couldn’t explain why the receipt was completely different, but still insisted that the total amount was correct. We even checked the menu again and noticed that the Kri Kri wine — supposedly the house wine — had no listed price, which is probably not even legal. It’s a shame, because a place like this shouldn’t need to mislead its customers.

Fresh, simple clean food! You will feel fulfilled without feeling weighted down by your food. We had a wonderful salad, grilled squid and fried Zucchini with Cheese. Everything was so good and the reasonable pricing make this a place i’ll definitely come back to. The patio area is an awesome place to rest and feel refreshed when your food comes. The waitstaff was very friendly and sweet! Don’t miss this place!

Swimming in the sea, sunbeds with service, excellent restaurant, the food is outstanding and the prices are good, lovely cabana's by the water. Great drinks, cocktailbar. The staff is lovely, very friendly. Overall a great vibe and atmosphere. Relaxation to the max!

I'm here now and it's a great place, sun loungers with parasols available and very comfortable. Waiting staff very pleasant and the food we ordered came quickly. Good prices and food was delicious with large portion sizes. We came for the day and we are thoroughly enjoying our day

Just an amazing Beach Club. Food is not traditional greek but ooh so tasty. Friendly staff, great cocktails. The view so breathtaking. Water is calm and clear, you can even see some fishes.There’s parking, shower, clean toilets, sunbed ranges from 12-17 euro a day.

Absolutely superb place! We were staying at an all inclusive a short walk away and ended up eating and drinking here every day. Their cocktails are AMAZING, the food is fantastic - particularly the club sandwich - and the staff are lovely, especially the guy with glasses and a beard, he is great fun. We hired sun loungers on one day, they are very comfortable and the price is reasonable. The view over crystal clear blue sea here is beautiful. I wish they would build a little hotel on the property 😅

The best place to hang out in Agios! We found this place 5 mins from our hotel and just kept coming back as it was so amazing! Comfy beds at a reasonable hire price, helpful and friendly staff, very nice food and drinks, and just the best view. Visited with our 2 year old who loved it too. Can't wait to come back in the future, bonus points for all the funky signs - especially the Star Wars ones!

The food and service here are both outstanding. The smoked pork on the Mesogeiako Salad is to die for. We had the Chicken with Crème and the Lamb Chops. Both were absolutely 5 stars. The service is also the best and the restaurant is clean. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience here - came twice on our one week holiday, for lunch and late night dinner. The waiters are very hospitable, and there is always traditional greek music playing subtly. The gyros are beautiful, as are the moussaka , spicy cheese dip and the highlight is the home made fresh bread. Mixed grill for one is huge, the house wine is nice and so is the mythos. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The staff was warm, attentive, and generous – they surprised us with a delicious dessert on the house and even offered us a small appetizer to start. When we found out about this place , we were doubtful due to long drive from our hotel, but we decided to go and we are super happy that we did ! This is a family restaurant, so if you are not patient to get great quality food, try somewhere else. It may take a little longer than other restaurants, but it worth the wait! the lady who took our order, was really helpful and she went over the menu with us and gave us a great understanding of the food ingredients. We ordered a few appetizers and a mix plate for main course. All appetizers were super tasty and portions were huge (and we were visiting from the U.S. , so we are used to large portions!), the meets where tender and juicy and we liked everything we ate here. They also provided free desert and Raki at the end of our meal. Thanks again for the great food and ambiance. We will definitely come back in our future trips

THE best genuine and authentic restaurant my partner and I have been to . We fortunately found this restaurant 2 years ago and have eaten here once more this visit . Great food and friendly atmosphere and served by staff who work really hard but deliver excellent service! Do yourself a big favour and eat here when in town ! We WILL be back !

Amazingly delicious and excellently presented food and desserts, whether you are vegan, veggie or an omnivore! The people make the place even more special and there are great wines available - also, try the Thama ice tea which is exceptional! For us Greek people, it was so nice to have a different meal of such a high level - amazing cuisine, food cooked from the heart.

Absolutely stunning location! Unfortunately, I had to lower my rating due to a small but important issue. I specifically asked if they could make a Freddo cappuccino with lactose-free milk and was told yes — but it was served with regular milk. As someone who reacts to dairy, this affected me for the rest of the day. A simple heads-up that lactose-free milk wasn’t available would have solved the problem — I would’ve just chosen something else. Still, a lovely spot overall.

Definitely Favourite place this summer! It is nice to visit every hour of the day. I would recommend to visit in the afternoon to enjoy the amazing views of the sunset and enjoy some of their delicious homemade desserts! The ice-creams are authentic and delicious. Also great to visit for a cocktail at night. The views are spectacular and romantic! Cocktails are the best in town in my opinion!

Do not go! More expensive than other shops in the center. We bought some bottles for 5,83€ each. We saw the same bottle for 4,80€ at Melissa shop. We come back to be reimbursed or have the difference . No negotiation, They didn't want and said that it is our fault. We need to do the comparative before to buy. They are not professional or shopkeeper. Do not the same mistake than us.
