Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
Tattu Manchester is a stylish bar and restaurant in Spinningfields, drawing inspiration from tattoo art and ancient eastern culture. The menu features modern Chinese fusion dishes with intricate presentation to match the sophisticated interior design. One of its standout features is the iconic blossom tree at the center of the dining room. Tattu offers a unique dining experience with vibrant creativity, setting it apart from traditional Chinese restaurants.
We celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary here with our family and so glad we did. Cannot fault the level of service, especially Edwin who went the extra mile for us which was greatly appreciated. His knowledge of the restaurant and the dishes was amazing. The food was phenomenal with each dish more flavourful than the last. Overall, highly recommend this restaurant not only for the food experience but also the patient, knowledgeable and dedicated staff.

Tattu Manchester is one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious — the highlight for me was the sea bass fillet steamed, which was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, creating a great atmosphere for dining. Prices are a bit on the high side, but definitely worth it for the quality of the food, the stunning interior, and the attentive service. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Manchester.
Kiet T — Google review
One of the best! The food was excellent, but what took our experience to the next level was Tyler! We specifically complimented him that the service, care and attention he brought to our dinner was the one of the best we’ve experienced in the UK. Great cocktail recommendations, the TATTU signature tasting experience was excellent: the duck was top tier, crispy but juicy. The shrimp were flavorful and well seasoned. The truffle spring rolls were awesome: not too heavy on the truffle, but just right. Wave 2: salmon was excellent!!! Angry bird, great, and the aged beef filet also excellent! The green beans were a surprise favorite, and the rice also flavorful to round things out. Dessert: the Asian pear sticky toffee pudding, so so so so good! An homage to the UK classic, but sophisticated, light, but rich and delicious all at the same time! 10/10 recommendation, and look forward to supporting Tyler as the future GM of the Miami location 😉

We had an incredible dinner. Diana gave the best service - we couldn’t ask for more! Professional and super friendly. We will definitely return when we come back to Manchester. Highly recommend!
Rose M — Google review
Diana was a brilliant server she went through the menu with us as it was our first time and gave us recommendations which we chose 2 of these and they were gorgeous! She was very attentive throughout the service and checked on us through every course. She made the service and my birthday very enjoyable. I will definitely be returning.
Naomi R — Google review
Diana was amazing, explained the whole menu to us and and our food was served very quicky. I enjoyed the meal. I really wanted to experience the beauty of this restaurant and reserved it for 4 people but instead of being in a spot where we could see the atmosphere we were in a small booth. It was nice as it was private and elegant but we couldn't see the main attraction and it was so dark in the booth that we couldn't take any good photos even with the flash on. I ordered the desert at the start but had to wait an extra 10mins at the end for it which was quite frustrating as my two friends didn't order a desert. Then the pudding was small with 3 tiny slices of pear. The food portions were quite small for the price and they added extra expenses. Such as £5 for water. We thought it was free as they offered it to us. Also a service charge of £27. In total every cost £244 which is way more than it was worth. The duck rolls were tiny, and I only got 3 for £13. Honestly I won't be going back, I ended up ordering a food delivery later that night because I was still hungry. It is a nice experience but I've been to a lot of restaurants that give much better value for money
Micah J — Google review
Best luxury dining experience in Manchester! I booked for my birthday lunch and I am so glad that I did! Loved the ambience and the particular attention from the staff to keep our table clean in between meals. Food tasted amazing and so the cocktails! Will definitely come back soon.
Arianna C — Google review
We used Tattu today for a business event, and the service and food was superb. The private dining room was the perfect size and provided a fantastic setting to showcase our brand. I can't thank Diana enough who looked after us during the event, the service and space which allowed us to present was crucial to the event and Diana choreographed this perfectly with no delays and our dining presented promptly post our presentation. Thank you so much for allowing us to host such a great event

Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
The Little Yang Sing is a renowned family-run restaurant that has been serving traditional Chinese regional cuisine since 1977. With its smart decor and extensive menu, it has gained international acclaim for its authentic Cantonese dishes, including a comprehensive dim sum selection and banquet menus featuring dishes like whole steamed lobster with garlic, ginger, and chili. The restaurant also offers a charming Cantonese-style afternoon tea.
Amazing restaurant, great reputation and certainly one of the family favourites. The food quality is always too notch and when they shred the duck for you (highly recommend!) it always adds a bit of theatre for the kids too. Service is always very welcoming. 10/10.
Mark W — Google review
Went for a work meal, first thing I loved is that we were on a round table so we could all chat with each other. Service was very good, quick and friendly. Food was probably one of the best Chinese food I've ever had. 100% recommended!
Irene D — Google review
I would recommend you go elsewhere if you want to make your money worth. Dishes are around £17, most don’t come with rice or noodles (so that has to be added). I took the shredded duck with vermicelli, and it tasted dull -despite it being in the chefs’ recommendations section: not much duck, preserved vegetable very acidic, overall a bit too salty. Bill comes with sevice charge (10%) and they also charge £2.50 for a glass of water. The staff was reactive and nice, but the most important to me is food quality and price, which sadly didn’t meet my expectations.
Edouard V — Google review
The staff was friendly and welcome. The restaurant wasn't overly busy for a Sunday evening, which was nice. Service was hit and miss depending which waiter. Ill manner by taking plates when not everyone was finished eating on the table. The decor was nice and the atmosphere was ok. The food was nice and a good portion, slightly overpriced but understandable as it's in the city centre.
Modelangel — Google review
Delicious food and impeccable service. They have a lot of vegan options! If you tell them you are vegan, they bring you a little list of dishes from vegetarian menu that are not suitable for vegans, so it's very easy to choose. Food was amazing and the portions very generous. My partner and I could barely walk after 🤣 Highly recommended restaurant! Also, great atmosphere
Yuliya S — Google review
Excellent food, however service could have been better! We were a table of 14, but food came out at stages, with some guests having to wait about 15 minutes for the other guests to get their food!
Patrick X — Google review
Recently came to this restaurant for a family meal and loved every single moment of it! The food was delicious! The atmosphere was incredible! The staff were very helpful and friendly! We had the Blooming Blossom banquet and we enjoyed every single meal that was included in it! 100% worth the money and will definitely be back when I can! Thank you Little Yang Sing!
Hannahmhumphris — Google review
Food was great just felt the pricing was a bit unfair. I received great service though! My partner would love this place because they have so many great vegetarian options. Would definitely come back to try more of their food.

Chinese restaurant
The Rice Bowl, located in the heart of Manchester, offers a diverse menu featuring traditional Chinese cuisine with a focus on dim sum and classic dishes like chow mein and dan dan noodles. The restaurant caters to vegetarians and vegans with options like crispy mock duck with pancakes. The elegant dining room provides a sophisticated setting for enjoying Asian-influenced seafood, salads, steaks, and signature cocktails.
I had an excellent dining experience at The Rice Bowl in Manchester. The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was top-notch, but the highlight was definitely the duck. It was incredibly crispy and flavorful, truly a must-try! The service was exceptional as well. The staff was highly professional, attentive, and efficient—some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. The restaurant’s ambiance perfectly matches its style, creating an inviting and authentic atmosphere. The overall setting, with its Chinese-inspired decor, adds to the experience, and the price-performance ratio is very reasonable. If you’re in Manchester, The Rice Bowl is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

A lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. The staff are very attentive, and provided free fruit after the meal. Lovely decorations too. We had the beef in black bean sauce noodles, which had so many veg packed in, and chicken noodles

A Hidden Gem in Manchester! After a walk through Manchester city centre, we were looking for something different to eat. Everywhere seemed to offer the usual burgers, pizza, or fish and chips but we wanted something more unique. While wandering down the street, we stumbled upon this place and let me tell you, it was amazing! The staff were friendly and polite, and the place was spotless. **The food? Just incredible!** I had the Thai-style coconut chicken, and it was absolutely packed with flavour—something truly divine. The egg fried rice was also a solid 10/10! The starter King Prawn: delicious, hot and full of flavour, perfect! Without a doubt, this is the best Chinese restaurant in Manchester I’ve tried so far. Well done to the team! We’ll definitely be back.
Florin C — Google review
I came here EXPECIALLY for the crispy chilli beef. I have been living abroad for - long time and always been craving this dish since I left. I researched places that served this and came to this place. I strolled in alone at 22.00 and they were super friendly and helpfull. The place is lovely and chilled out. No rush and calming private spacey place yet cozy. The crispy chilly beef was amazing! Just like I remembered it. I been ill so could finish it but it was no problem to take it with me to the hotel. Honestly could eat this every day. Absolutely recommended to come here and try all their dishes. This was top but can imagine their other dishes are just as top.
Nicky — Google review
Stopped here last minute while walking past and found one of the best hidden places in Manchester. Some of the best and friendliest service I’ve received and even though a small wait for food was 1000% worth it! I got the chow mein of the lunch menu which was an amazing portion size with meat and noodles cooked to perfection. The food came out super hot and fresh! Can’t wait to come back!
Alicia — Google review
honestly, if your local and craving hearty food, this is the spot! we got the thai red curry, chilli crispy beef and 2 portions of rice. IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS!!! the flavour was so spot on, the food was delicious, and the waiting time was great to be honest. my only concern is the portion size, as they’re just a bit small. good attentive service too! the general vibe and classic jazz playing gives it a comfortable feeling. before your bill they give you fruit too which is so cute!! 100% recommend, the food is outstanding
Melissa H — Google review
Amazing Chinese in the heart the city of Manchester. Food is spot on! Staff are amazing! Nothing is too much!

Really authentic Hong Kong style restaurant. English menu provided. Great for Dim Sum. On the par with Glamorous. The service was quick and the food was authentic and tasty. Two of us went and had a selection of dim sum which were of good quality. Overall better than some of the Hong Kong style cafes in Chinatown.
S I — Google review
Awesome Chinese restaurant serving a wide variety of classic Chinese and Cantonese dishes. Ordered the salted fish chix fried rice, roast pork roast duck rice and the salted pork chops over rice. Food were prepared fresh upon order and food was fantastic!
Damian P — Google review
Food was average, big portion. Service was poor. We ordered 2 dishes and a dim sum during tea time. When we finished 1 of the dishes and the dim sum, the other dish was not there. We checked with the waiter and they said I didn’t order it🤨 Well, are you sure that I didn’t order or you missed my order?! Finally, we wait for another half an hour that.
Iris T — Google review
It’s been a long time since I last came here. Love the staff here, all so friendly and chatty! I love the fact you don’t have to wait too long for a table, especially if you haven’t booked. The dimsum itself was not bad, I’ve had better from other places. Wasn’t a fan of the ja lerng as it was soggy and had no texture. The ming ha gok was also very overdone. The beef brisket noodle soup was nice though, flavoursome and hearty. The three roast portion was small and not generous with the meats, you only get a few pieces of each meats. Overall the dimsum was average but the service and atmosphere made it.
Kirst L — Google review
Fantastic place to experience good Chinese food. It gets busy but its well worth it if you have to wait and its not going to bankrupt you.
Will W — Google review
The restaurant is located in the center of China Town, very convenient . Every time I go to China town, I stop by for lunch or dinner, the prices are average. There are some very unique dishes that are no different from the dishes I have eaten in Hong Kong. Roasted pork has crispy skin and not much fat. But the shrimp dish sometimes has some that are not fresh
Natural H — Google review
Went there for dim sum in early 2024 and it was not bad. Went there again for dinner a few days ago and the food was really bad. I don’t know why there’re still so many customers and it’s not cheap. The siu mai we had was the worst we’ve had ever had in our lives. The stir fried noodles with crab meat ended up becoming noodles with fake crab sticks, the amount of which were so little that they’re almost unnoticeable. Won’t visit the restaurant again.

Chinese restaurant
Happy Seasons Restaurant, a Chinatown staple since 1982, is renowned for its no-frills, authentic Chinese cuisine. The informal eatery offers classic Chinese soups, dim sum, seafood and meat dishes, as well as set menus. Its signature roast duck, crispy pork belly and barbecue are legendary and draw in crowds of hungry customers. The restaurant's decor is simple with touches of 80s glamour and warm hospitality.
Delicious, absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves Asian food. Located in China town Manchester. There's always a queue & you cannot book but max waiting time is 10-15 mins so worth it. Staff very nice and friendly. Food is freshly made too
Louma — Google review
If you're looking for authentic Chinese food in Manchester, Happy Seasons is an absolute must-visit. The flavors are exceptional, the dishes come out piping hot and perfectly cooked, and the menu offers an incredible range of traditional Cantonese specialties. We had the roast duck and char siu—absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The seasoning was spot on, and the crispy duck skin was next level. The portion sizes are generous, and everything felt fresh and made with care. Service was quick and efficient, even when the restaurant was packed (which it usually is—a great sign!). There's a real buzz and authenticity to the place that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon a hidden gem in Hong Kong. Highly recommend booking in advance or being prepared to queue—it's worth the wait. A true Manchester institution for anyone who loves proper Chinese food. (don't miss Jasmine tea)
Davor C — Google review
You know it's good when there's a cue outside!! We came here as a group of 7 so we had to wait a while for tables (Approx 30 minutes), luckily the weather is good! Service is extremely quick and efficient. Food came out nice and hot all cooked to a high standard. Good flavour, decent portions and good value for money. I liked the atmosphere, lots of hustle and bustle but not ruining the experience. Overall a great restaurant with a varied menu that caters for all tastes and top food!!
Tariq T — Google review
I recently had a fantastic meal at Happy Seasons, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation! We tried a range of dishes, and every single one was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The prawn fried rice was fragrant and well-balanced, with generous portions of juicy prawns. The mapo tofu was rich, spicy, and full of depth—perfect comfort food with a kick. The charsiu pork and pork belly were both incredibly tender and flavourful, with that signature sweetness and savoury glaze that’s hard to beat. But the real star of the show was their signature roast duck—crispy skin, succulent meat, and just the right amount of seasoning. It’s no wonder it’s so highly recommended! The service was fast and efficient, and the atmosphere was lively, giving it that authentic buzz of a proper Cantonese spot. Happy Seasons is definitely a go-to for amazing Chinese food in the city, and I can’t wait to go back for more!
Bhav B — Google review
Delicious food and good food portions. We ordered the 4 dishes and couldn’t finish and have to take the rest in a takeaway. The service is fast.
Harshita J — Google review
I came here on a Friday evening and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table - not surprising as the place is clearly popular. This is a proper Cantonese / Hong Kong style restaurant, and the no-frills interior instantly reminded me of eateries back in Hong Kong. The food really delivered. The roast duck was spot on - crispy skin, tender meat, and a rich sauce that brought everything together. The braised beef brisket was another standout, meltingly tender and full of flavour. The salt & pepper ribs were nicely seasoned with a good crunch, but the star of the night was the stir fried rice noodle with beef. It had that smoky "wok hei" that's hard to find outside of Hong Kong - absolutely delicious. Overall, the food here is authentic & If you're craving proper Cantonese dishes, this is definitely worth the wait in line.
Merryheart — Google review
A nice Chinese restaurant. The set menus are very large and quite filling. I recommend it.
Remzi U — Google review
This is by all means the very best Chinese restaurant in Manchester. Food is Cantonese style (mostly not spicy). The quality of their dishes and tastes are as good as they are in popular eateries in Hong Kong or south of mainland China. Excellent vale for money. Fast service and very friendly staff. As this is 'no booking' place, come and join the queue, but don't be scared if the queue outside looks long, as it moves fast (some customers are waiting for their take-away).

Had a beautiful Chinese food tasting dinner. Service is excellent, creative dishes, fresh seafood , classic and modern combination of food, beautiful environment.

It’s been 5/6 years since my last visit and the place is still one of the best restaurants I’ve been to 3 of us went today to celebrate a friends bday and all the dishes were very good Sizzling Cantonese fillet steak was our favorite and the lobster cream cheese Will visit again when next in Manchester

I have no idea about the food. It looks very nice. Unfortunately there was a mistake with the reservation and when I showed up today it turned out they'd expected me 17:30 on a Thursday and charged me £60 for a no show. My error, but I don’t know... If your reaction to this is "serves you right", I'd say it looks good, try it. If your reaction is "ouch, that could happen to me!" be warned. Personally, if it's a genuine error, I'd be a bit more amenable and understanding in their shoes and take the opportunity to acquire a customer. That's obviously not their priority. I won't try here again.
James R — Google review
Firstly, I'd like to give the staff recognition for their friendly service. Secondly the food wasn't worth the money, all the starters were deep fried with no taste, just added onions, garlic and red chillies - this does not make a dish "Salt and Pepper". The mains was more acceptable but still not amazing. To conclude this, my local Chinese take away food is far better, the taste, the quality and the price. Here I felt like I paid for take away food for fine dining prices. If the food was better, this would be a great place and I wouldn't mind paying.

The service is exemplary. Food is very good and a large if somewhat expensive wine list. Well spaced out tables. air-conditioning. Spotless if can be polished it has been.

It was an amazing experience at Wings. The staff was so hospitable and delivered from the moment we stepped into the restaurant till the end of our evening. Super good atmosphere and the dim sum was the star. Beautifully made, exquisite flavours and in my mind worth every penny.

The staff are absolutely lovely and very attentive, they cannot be faulted. The mains were nice, however, not any better than my local Chinese takeaway, it wasn’t worth the price. The salt and pepper chips had absolutely no flavour. The restaurant has no atmosphere and certainly isn’t worth the price they are charging, and we will definitely not be returning.

Blue Eyed Panda is a popular restaurant in Manchester, England that started as a take-away and now has its own restaurant. The place offers a diverse range of Chinese dishes such as crispy duck, ribs, noodles, honey-glazed roast char siu pork, and Szechuan staples like hot poached beef in chili oil. Despite facing challenges like break-ins over lockdown, the restaurant continues to serve authentic Chinese cuisine with Northern grit.
The food and atmosphere was superb. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. There is usually a wait because of their exceptional Cantonese dishes so it's always advisable to call ahead of time before visiting. You would love it.

Professional service, positive reception, delicious food! The spicy noodles was a good portion and the flavours were bold and so tasty, I had to order some rice to enjoy the sauce more! The waitress was delightful and I was comfortable in their high-back booth seats, creating some privacy and enjoying the plenty of light that comes from their large windows.

Had a lovely lunch time set menu here and was quite surprised at how cheap it was!! The food was tasty and piping hot!! It was quiet when we went as it was lunchtime

Blue eyed panda offers a wide selection of Asian cuisine that is delicious. 🤤 The staff were friendly and helpful. To give a more robust and honest opinion I need to visit again and try a few other dishes. I scored them a 4 ⭐ because I wasn’t blown away but I was impressed with their food.

Visited for an early dinner on a Sunday, without a reservation. We’ve been here a few times before and really like the variety in the menu and how fresh everything is cooked/tastes. Would recommend our starters - the har gow, salt and pepper ribs. We share a mixed vegetable fried rice with our mains and to be honest, which was ok but not different/better enough that we’d do the same in the future rather than fried rice or noodles. My main was kind prawns in oyster sauce and it was amazing, with everything cooked well and my husband really enjoyed his mixed with black pepper sauce. Drinks are on the slightly pricier side but overall, prices are ok. Some of the serving staff are friendlier than others, but that’s often the way. Would definitely recommend.

Chinese restaurant on the edge of city centre. Restaurant isnt huge but it still fits a decent number of people. Menu has a wide variety of dishes such as a small selection of dim sum, rice or noodle dishes and normal main dishes. Tried the dim sum platter and there were only 4 dim sums so it's not really worth the price. The xiao pong bao filling was a bit weird as it was very mushy. Special fried rice: taste was good and had a lot of ingredients. slightly on the smaller side for portion size but still ok. Monk fish bowl: taste was good but portion size was quite small. The fish and onions was fragrant and juicy. Beef brisket in curry sauce: the beef brisket was tender and juicy. Portion size was also on the smaller side but not too bad. In general, the taste was decent (except for the xiao long bao) but portion sizes were a bit small for the price. I would probably advice ordering at least 3 dishes between 2 people. 10% Service charge added to the final bill.

Overall, it was just an okay experience. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. Service was kinda slow, especially since there were only a few people there. The vibe was nice though, if you just want a chill spot for a quick meal.

Probably my favourite Chinese restaurant. Lovely food, reasonably priced and generous portion sizes. The decor is beautiful, authentic and atmosphere in general is really relaxing. Service is always friendly and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. Lots of nice little touches like the menu presentation, crockery and cutlery. I could go on!

Sweet Mandarin is a family-run restaurant located on High Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The establishment, opened in 2004, is run by three sisters who inherited recipes from their late grandmother, Lily Kwok. The menu features dishes like jungle green curry, beef curry, and clay pot chicken. Sweet Mandarin also offers gluten-free options and click-and-collect service for banquets and dim sum.
This is the place for you if you're looking for good, affordable and glutenfree Chinese food in Manchester. I made a reservation via email for the same day and heard back five minutes later. For some reason Google Maps showed me a location in Thomas Street, but the restaurant is actually two streets away in Copperas Street.
Jan K — Google review
With me being coeliac, finding proper Chinese food with gluten free options is incredibly difficult. So when I saw a video of this place on TikTok, I was really excited and eager to try it out. I visited on a Tuesday with my boyfriend, optimistic and genuinely pleased to have found a place that caters to coeliacs—especially as Chinese food is one of my favourites. However, a few things stood out right away. Firstly, the opening times are very limited—just four hours a day. Because of this, the atmosphere during our hour-long visit felt very quiet and lifeless. Extending the hours might help bring in more customers and improve the vibe. When it came to ordering, the waitress seemed unenthusiastic and uninterested. I ordered prawn toast and asked for the chicken chow mein without chicken, essentially making it a vegetable version. About ten minutes later, she returned to ask, “Which chow mein did you mean?” With only two options on the menu, this somehow made her confused. I repeated my request, which she then questioned loudly with the chef that I overheard. This didn’t feel very professional and made it seem like I was asking for something really complicated when I simply just wanted a chow mein without chicken. When the food arrived, hot enough to burn your mouth, it was extremely underwhelming. The prawn toast was tough, my boyfriend’s chicken in the munchbox was really chewy, and my chow mein was about 90% bean sprouts. The dish was overly salty, which masked any other flavours, and it had an oddly shiny, slippery texture that put me off after a few mouthfuls. My boyfriend tasted it too and felt the same. The bigges disappointment was the price—£46 in total for food that was below average, both in taste and quality. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to expectations, and we felt that neither the food nor the service justified the cost. We won’t be returning.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Great portion sizes for the price. Great service from the minute we walked through the door. Food arrived quickly and hot. Separate gluten free menu with lots of choice.

Was so lovely having dinner here, they are so good for gluten free food so my mum was able to eat proper Chinese without gluten which is rare so she was incredibly excited! I am quite fussy myself and usually don’t like Chinese but they had a really nice starter soup and this massive box of chicken and chips so I was sorted. Staff were so sweet and friendly.

Thank you for a really amazing meal and offering safe gluten free menus. I came with my daughter who is coeliac for her birthday. It was such a massive treat and she loved it. They really looked after us and gave her a lovely handwritten card and a chocolate bar. It was a very special experience and we will be back :)

We went back in May and the food was so lovely! We had the duck spring rolls, the vegetable dumplings, the vermicelli, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips and chicken in black bean. All that and bottle of wine for £70 was a bargain, so full of flavour and worth every penny We had told the staff when we reserved that it was our anniversary and the staff gave us a lovely card and these cute coasters. We were so made up, we'll definitely be coming again after that!

Absolutely brilliant meal this evening at Sweet Mandarin. Our teenager enjoyed his meal so much he ordered a whole second meal (portion sizes are great, he's a growing boy!). We opted for the meal for two at £45 which was great value and every component utterly delicious. Our daughter had the duck which looked phenomenal. We are visitors to Manchester otherwise this would have become a 'go to'. Highly recommend for a nice date night or family meal.

Dim sum restaurant
Glamorous Chinese Restaurant is a spacious and elegantly decorated eatery with a scarlet theme, featuring dragons and colorful lighting. The vast menu offers delicious options including dim sum, 3 meats, pi pa tofu, won ton soup, seafood crispy noodles, roast pork belly and roast duck. The restaurant provides a unique experience with clean facilities and ample parking space.
Just had the salt and pepper King Prawn at a promotional price of £10! Very tasty, eaten without any leftovers. The other dishes are also delicious and very generous in portion. Been coming to Glamorous restaurant for many years and never disappoint.
K C — Google review
The Glamorous is our favourite and go to Chinese restaurant in Manchester. It's located above the Wing Yip Chinese supermarket in the Ancotes area near the Northern Quarter. There's ample parking in the covered multistorey car park on the 1st floor level in front of the restaurant, with a number of disabled spaces, and also on the open air 2nd floor level above. We usually shop in the large Wing Yip Chinese Supermarket on the ground floor, which has its owned covered car park, when we visit the Glamorous. The decor in the very large 1st floor open Hong Kong style restaurant, which can probably seat about 300 people, is a bit dated, however, in my opinion it serves the best authentic Cantonese food in the North of England. There is a large fish tank, where live fish & lobsters are kept prior to being cooked for seafood dishes, next to the bar and a window looking into the kitchen with Hong Kong BBQ meats hanging on display. Male and female toilets are found at one side the back of the restaurant. My wife and I went for a quick pre-theatre meal this evening before going to see the Moulin Rouge musical. We had our favourite fillet steak on a sizzling platter with Cantonese sauce (the meat was so tender we cut it up using just the edge of the serving spoon and the sauce was light, tangy & not too sweet), chicken with green peppers & black bean sauce (tender pieces of chicken with crunchy al dente green peppers in a light black bean sauce with little fermented black bean providing an explosion of umami flavour in your mouth when you bit into them) and just one portion of boiled rice as it a very large portion enough for both of us. We had copious amounts of jasmine tea with our meal, with multiple free refills of our large teapot, and were given some complementary pieces of delicious sweet tangy oranges together with a complimentary bowl of a slightly sweet sago desert, after our main courses. In addition to going for traditional Cantonese food at the Glamorous we also go for their fantastic dim sum dishes, which are very popular with the large Chinese population in and around Manchester on weekends. Service may not be as polished as in other restaurants, not all the Chinese servers speak impeccable English, although the servers taking orders speak good English and are very helpful. However, we go there for the fantastic food at very affordable prices and always enjoy a fantastic meal there.

Casual weekend family dinner. Service was top-notch as we were taken care of throughout the whole evening. Tea and water always topped up, and excellent recommendations on food. Food was classic, nostalgic, and flavourful. Highly recommended the Pork Chops and the Fish Fragrant Eggplant Pot, best pairing with rice 🍚. Dinner is rounded off the sweet soup and fruits (not too sweet).

Great experience at Glamorous Restaurant! The lady who served us was so friendly and always smiling. The poached prawns were fresh, big and sweet — amazing value £10 only. The soy sauce chicken is a must-try, and they even offer free traditional soup and dessert. Really enjoyed the meal!

Visited on a Sunday evening, fairly quiet time of day. Had the set meal for 4. Prawns were lovley, not soggy at all. 3x roasts were tasty, the spinach With noodles were we/t balanced. If you like proper Chinese food and not just the English versions, you'll like it here.

I rarely used to visit glamorous as a few years ago the dimsum was pretty poor compared to its competitors but i gave it a try recently and it’s surprisingly improved, all the dimsum including the noodles, rice and roast dishes have improved and is surprisingly tasty. With the pleasant experience we had from the dimsum we then came again for an evening meal and it was dreadful.. We ordered several dishes and all of them were mediocre especially the fried seafood which was crispy on outside but very cold on the inside, luckily with the saving grace being the lobster noodles and steamed scallops which were decent but then came the worst dish.. My personal favourite to get at restaurants - sizzling aubergine clay pot with salted fish, I tried it and noticed the fish tasted extremely pungent - bearing in mind I’ve had a lot of salted fish so I’m aware of the taste and different ways it’s prepared, 2 minutes later I felt incredibly lethargic and ran to the toilet to vomit, it felt as like the fish most likely or ingredients in the dish were off as I’ve never felt like this eating out before. I was traumatised and couldn’t eat any further, it ruined my experience. Prices aren’t the cheapest either. It’s a hit in the afternoon for dimsum, clear miss for evening meal at dinner time.

Hunan Restaurant is a vibrant establishment that offers a wide range of regional Chinese dishes, with a focus on vegetarian and vegan options. The menu features Beijing and Sichuan specialties prepared by experienced chefs, some of whom have worked in Chinese embassies and five-star hotels. In addition to familiar Cantonese-style dishes, the restaurant also presents authentic recipes from other provinces, including Hunan.
Fantastic food! Great service from the friendly staffs too. The stir fried pork with peppers was amazing, full of flavor and had the perfect balance of spicy and savory. The dry pot potatoes was full of wok hey/ smoky flavor. Every bite was an explosion of flavours. The mapo tofu was a bit different than what I am used to as there was a hint of sweetness to it, not sure if this has anything to do with the fact that it's a Hunan restaurant instead of Sichuan. But this does not mean it was not good, just different.

I have been here many times and the food is still top quality. They do traditional dishes and taste much better than the quality you'd get in London. I would say this is one of the better Chinese restaurants in Manchester. Special dishes to try are the hand pulled noodles and sweet and sour pork. The dim sum is also good here as well. The atmosphere is okay, not a huge place but quiet enough to have a group conversation. The waitress was friendly and patient.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. 1. The staff and even the owner showed clear discrimination against Chinese (mainland) customers, while treating white customers much more politely. That kind of unequal treatment is completely unacceptable. 2. The barbecue skewers were badly burnt and tasted bitter. 3. One of the dishes we ordered never arrived, even after reminding the staff several times. Overall, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in the UK. Poor service, poor food quality, and unfair treatment — I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Yuzu Japanese Tapas, located on Faulkner Street in Manchester, offers a traditional and authentic Japanese dining experience. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh local ingredients to prepare classic Japanese tapas from scratch. From delicately crafted tempura to mouth-watering sashimi and glorious gyoza, every dish is meticulously prepared. Yuzu also specializes in serving a wide variety of fish courses such as scallop, salmon, or tuna sashimi over sushi rice.
Went for our anniversary, only seemed fitting as we met on our travels in Japan! Absolutely delicious food. Went at evening opening time on a Saturday and got a table for 2 no problem. Small restaurant so best to either book (£10 deposit for bookings which we didn't bother with) or go and see if there's a table like we did. Got Kirin beer which is a challenge to get hold of in many places! We got tapas food and all was so yummy, came out at different times but meant we could pace ourselves which was good. Really good prices for what you get and decent portion sizes for tapas. Lady who served us was lovely and friendly. Music was an odd choice, Jazz, but wasn't an issue! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for yummy traditional Japanese food!

A real hidden GEM ! Wandered in for a little lunch with my sister and dad and we were all blown away by the food ! The best prawn tempura we’ve ever had / super fresh sashimi and incredible value. Can’t recommend more.
Rosie S — Google review
While I was there, I was served by a tall waitress who seemed quite unfriendly and had a poor attitude. When the bill came, she simply dropped it on the table without a word or even a smile, which felt quite rude. As for the food, I ordered the tempura udon, and it didn’t really taste like proper tempura. It seemed like it was just some random fried items, and it didn’t come with any sauce. When I asked for sauce, they quickly mixed something together, but the chef didn’t seem to know what an authentic tempura sauce should be like. I also ordered fried oysters, and they were quite small and missing the usual sauces you’d expect. Additionally, the sake they served was in a plain glass cup, not a traditional sake cup, which made it feel like it was just any ordinary small glass you’d find at a home goods store. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I hope they can improve both their service and their food quality in the future.

At this price point, this should really be a 5 stars joint. £10 lunch at this quality, put alot of restaurants to shame. Yuzu Izakaya is extremely decent. The rustic decor and the colour instantly transferred me to a few regular mum n pop joints in Yokohama, Japan. If they did anymore they would have to double the price. And I am very happy with table serviced £10 lunch. Arigato for your service and your sacrifice Yuzu Izakaya. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Me and the wife came here on a Saturday evening and there was no wait time but it did take some time for us to have our order taken and we had to wait some time for the food (although all tables were taken so this is understandable) but once it did arrive we realised it was worth the wait. Recommend the oyster katsu if it available and the kara-age was delicious as well.

The food is outstanding, genuinely on par with top-tier Japanese restaurants, and the value for money is brilliant. Everything we tried was fresh, authentic, and full of flavour – definitely 5★ food. It’s clearly a family-run spot, with very polite service and a sweet young lady serving. There’s room for improvement in terms of organisation and seating (which is a little cramped), and the space could really benefit from better ventilation. That said, the charm and warmth of the team shine through, and once the food arrives you forget the rest. Highly recommended – a hidden treasure in Manchester for anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine.

Chinese restaurant
Pinwei Chinese Restaurant offers a wide variety of Chinese dishes, including roasted duck, dim sum, and stir-fries in an elegant and understated setting. The restaurant provides a calm atmosphere even during busy times, making it perfect for family celebrations or casual dining. Guests have praised the delicious food, friendly staff, and stylish decor. The menu includes seafood soup noodles, dim sum selections, sizzling steak served at the table, and generous portions that leave diners satisfied.
We went just after they opened at 12pm. The place filled up pretty quickly and the staff were quite busy taking orders and serving dim-sums. They offered 3 dim sums for £12 and we got we got 3 lots of that. So that was plenty of food. It felt like we were back in Hong Kong and the food was lovely.

They have a great lunch time offer, which was £12 for 3 dimsum and the main dishes are £10. For the price the dimsum was actually pretty decent, the siu mai skin was falling off though, which was a slight negative for me but the flavour was there. I enjoyed the rest of the dimsum. It was extremely busy during lunch especially with the deal, so the food took longer than expected and it was difficult to get the attention of any waiters/waitress.

We starting queuing before opening time, restaurant opened at 12pm got seated quickly. All seatings got filled up quick, fairly busy place. We ordered dim sums, rice dish and a noodle dish. 3 for £12 dim sum offer not bad. Also refillable, unlimited pot of Chinese tea. Delicious and piping hot food

No Fresh Food; Pictures looks good, Food and Service are NOT Before I came I knew the food isn't as good but got catfished by Offers* Offers* - Spent £30, can half price a selected dishe Customer services were bad, asked what to recommend and despite order 3 big dishes average around £20ish. She has mentioned that it is mostly fridged seafood. Do not expect fresh as we recalled from her and Got forced to order rice despite we don't want to as we have got a dish that contains rice. Food took around 20~25minutes. Thought would have been fresh. But definitely not. E.g. crab ain't, eel ain't and Oyster were fried beforehand. Think before you go. Many thanks

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant! We have tried many Chinese restaurants in and around Manchester City Centre and this is up there with the best. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the decor is modern and stylish. Some restaurants are too noisy but this one provides a very calm atmosphere even when it’s extremely busy like tonight when we celebrated a family birthday. I should also commend Pinwei Restaurant highly on its menu; I’m non-Chinese speaking so I’ve had to jot down the Chinese names of my favourite dishes phonetically over the years at various restaurants and then try to pronounce them as best I can, often resulting in blank looks. Pinwei’s menu has clear photos and/or descriptions in English which is totally refreshing and SO helpful. Additionally, I now know exactly how much each item on the menu costs…and their prices are very competitive! Well done 👏🏼

All dishes we ordered tonight were fairly delicious. Roasted duck and the soup that came with it are especially recommended. Beef slices and fried squids are also nice. Overall it’s a Chinese restaurant above average in Manchester.
Paige S — Google review
the char siu in the three roast meats rice was pretty good but the duck was mainly bone and the roast pork was too fatty. the noodle dishes (seafood hor fun + veg crispy chow mein) had loads of toppings but were quite bland and lacked wok hei. the dim sum was also a bit hit or miss - the standouts were the stuffed beancurd rolls (v flavourful and well filled), purple sweet potato har gau (so pretty!) and the steamed brown sugar cake (perfect sweetness and super fluffy). i would pass on the xlb (skin was too thick and v little soup) and fried meat parcel (basically empty) though… overall, it is 100% great value for money not only bc of the lunch time deal but their portions as a whole are very generous. however, i felt a lot of the dishes were just standard and lacked a wow factor. i would come back tho bc i feel like there are only a few improvements needed!

Went with a group of colleagues from work, they arrived early to que up outside as it gets super busy as soon as the door opens. Very busy, all tables full and a que when I arrived at 12:10, I didn't need to wait as my group had already been seated so went straight down. Really nice pot of tea very soothing, and refillable. Starters ordered 9 as they come in sets of 3. No halal options so I stuck to the vegetarian option, vegetarian rolls and dim sum I think. I took a picture before all the starters came out and forgot to take a picture of the mains. We ordered 3 mains, vegetarian fried noodles, beef noodles , and chicken stir fry rice. Big portions shared between 6 people with left overs. I tried the stir fried rice just left the chicken, nice enjoyed. The beef noodles were a hit on the table flavours nice. Unfortunately the vegetarian fried noodles were very disappointing, the noodles were not cooked properly, crunchy and dry, very little sauce and 3 large piece of carrot, some kind of mushroom. Not enjoyable at all. This is the only thing that disappointed in the food. Our friend is Chinese and she did the ordering as the order slip is written In Chinese. We split the total £16 per person cash only there was 6 of us. I would go again but order different as many of the guests ordered meat and since it's not halal I did not get to try all the starters. We went to the bakery next door for dessert.

Levenshulme Market is a thriving weekly marketplace located in the south Manchester suburbs. It was taken over by local residents and traders in 2012, transforming it into a bustling hub that attracts shoppers from all over Greater Manchester and beyond. The market follows four revolving themes each week, featuring 50 specialist traders alongside staple stalls, street food, and entertainment.
Fantastic little food / craft market right outside levenshulme station. You can walk around all the stalls in under 15mins but there's some great food to choose from and the stall holders are super friendly. Loved it.

Lively place for people to check out some street food and trinkets. Some amazing artists showcasing their work and selling copies here as well. There is a cancer information outlet for those curious or have any questions or concerns about cancer. The music made the whole place Lively. It was mildly busy even on a rainy day. I hear it's even better on sunny days and I look forward to going there again. It's in the Levenshulme train station parking lot so getting there is very easy. Many buses stopping nearby too. Wheelchair accessible place and great for going with kids and groups of friends and family. A Saturday afternoon well spent.

Just love this local market. It's on most weekends, lovely stalls and great food with always something delucious veggie/vegan to munch on. Often there's a theme with something musical or crafty. Kiddy and pup friendly which is lovely. Look out for the night markets too as these are also great.

Really good. Just wish there had been more food stalls. Quite a good range of food stalls selling take away. The cheese stall is really good, very knowledgeable about the products. Maybe chutneys, pickles and definitely bread products. Craft stalls interesting too. Great coffee. Look forward to revisiting.

The Arndale store is exceptional, but the Market Street restaurant fails to meet expectations. When inquiring about the menu due to an incomplete website, a rude response was received when asking about a dish available at their sister store. This disappointing encounter highlights the need for improved customer service training. Consequently, I will not be visiting this restaurant again. However, Wings Dai Pai Dong is a highly recommended Chinese takeaway in Manchester for Asian cuisine enthusiasts.
Always come here when I'm in Manchester. Always delicious and the portions are very generous! The chips were some of the best I've had in a while. Strongly recommend! Polite staff too.

The quality has gone right down. Dry, flavourless salt and pepper chicken wings with onions. The noodles were overcooked but they were well seasoned. I've been coming here since it opened and it was always tasty and fresh but the last two times I've been very disappointed. I doubt I'll be back

Another affordable Chinese takeaway shop in the Arndale Market. Salt and Pepper Wings with rice, and rice noodles duck stir fry are pretty good. Lunch meals are around £7, cheaper if ask not to have drinks included.

Nestled right across from the iconic Manchester Arena, Park Inn by Radisson Manchester City Centre is a vibrant and contemporary hotel that perfectly blends comfort with convenience. Guests can indulge in a variety of leisure facilities, including an inviting indoor pool surrounded by cozy loungers, a well-equipped gym offering daily fitness classes like yoga and spinning, as well as a rejuvenating spa featuring five treatment rooms where guests enjoy exclusive discounts on services.
I recently stayed at the Radisson Hotel Manchester City Centre while delivering training, and it was an excellent base for both work and relaxation. The facilities are modern, comfortable, and well thought out, from spacious, well-equipped rooms to great meeting spaces that are ideal for professional events. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Manchester, with easy access to everything you might need. A particular shout-out to Woody, who was full of energy and made such a positive impression. His high-energy approach and excellent customer service really stood out and added to the overall experience, a real credit to the team. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Manchester for business or leisure.

Being totally honest, we feel like we went to a completely different spa than everyone else reviewing here. Unfortunately, our visit was really disappointing. We booked a “spa access only” visit through Wowcher — yes, it was a discounted deal, but the facilities should be exactly the same as if we’d booked direct. On a positive note, the staff were lovely — really friendly and helpful. However, the main issue was the smell. The reception area had an odd, unpleasant odour — almost like dried urine or something stale, maybe from an old aromatherapy diffuser. The changing rooms smelt strongly of drains/sewage, which was quite overpowering. There were no private changing cubicles, so we had to change in the shower area. The cleanliness wasn’t great either — there were clumps of hair on the floor and it just didn’t feel well maintained. When we got to the pool, the water looked cloudy, which usually indicates poor filtration or bacteria, so we decided not to swim. We ended up leaving after about an hour and a half feeling really disappointed. Such a shame, as the staff were lovely — but the facilities really let the place down.

Staff were friendly on arrival. Our room was upgraded to Superior as we had platinum reward points. The room was standard size, it was clean. The upgrade included a Nespresso machine, (the mugs provided didn't fit). Also robes with slippers (1 didn't have a belt & we only had 1 pair of slippers). We used them to go to the pool so this was awkward! Breakfast was tasty with a good variety. Our room was cold & the Air Con wouldn't increase so we didn't use our late check out. The hotel's location is perfect for the AO Arena but not worth the high price we paid.

Rooms are nice although for the amenities you have to scan a qr code to have them brought up. Staff are nice and the food at the conference downstairs was good. Breakfast was decent. Overall to me it wouldn’tbe worth the price but as a hotel for a business trip it was nice
Fab C — Google review
All seemed very chaotic, almost like their first ever week of trading. Booked as a family of 3, pleasantly surprised to find 2 full size double beds in the room, however it was only equipped with pillows and towels for 2 people. Only portal to order more to room. Used the online portal to order "click and collect" food from the restaurant. Went down to collect and they said the front desk hadn't sent them the order. They were apologetic and offered free drinks for the inconvenience, and then brought the food to the room for us. At 1:30am the aircon started alarming with a very loud beeping. Tried to ise the phone to call the front desk, but it was completely dead. Had to get dressed and go down. They came up and turned off the aircon in the fusebox. Never actually logged it as a fault, though. Next day i asked, they sent maintenance, who simply flicked it back on in the fusebox. Still no aircon. Complained again, they sent maintenance who said it could not be fixed. In fairness they moved us to a lovely suite and offered more free drinks. Breakfast was busy, had to sit in a conference room with no place settings. No orange juice on the 2nd day?! Tasty enough food. Kids hours at the pool are useless, the spa was fully booked. Took away from why we booked this particular hotel. For the price point of this hotel, i was very disappointed with the constant stream of minor issues. Although they compensated us with drinks and an upgrade, these things really shouldn't be happening.

Great stay at the Radisson Blu at Manchester Airport. The hotel itself is excellent and most of the staff were really helpful throughout my visit. It’s also incredibly convenient, with easy access to both airport terminals. At busy times the lifts and front desk can get a bit crowded, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. A brilliant hotel and I’d happily stay again.
Shuja A — Google review
I was given an adjoining room which did not block out any sounds from the neighbouring room. I was woken by those next door playing music early in the morning. Having returned from a working day, I could hear the neighbours conversation as if it was in my room. There was no privacy . I asked to move rooms and was told the manager would look into it. I ended up packing my bags ready to move and headed down to reception as hadn’t heard back. The only room available was apparently a twin which didn’t cover what I had paid for. The staff were not interested in assisting me further and I asked them to check me out instead. They let me walk. No apology and no attempt to rectify the problems. Would never stay here again. Customer service was appalling.
Shabs A — Google review
On arrival, after travelling for a few hours, I was due to collect a key card from front desk to get access to the room I was sharing with a friend. They has checked in earlier that day... or so they thought. The front desk staff had in fact not checked them in properly on the system - so when I arrived in the evening after a tiring journey,I provided the booking name and the number of the room my friend had checked into earlier in the day. I was denied access, told that the friend hadn't checked in, despite showing the receptionist the booking number and names... to which they just shrugged and looked at me as though the fault was mine. I was made to feel as though I was in the wrong... I called the friend who said they were definitely checked in, their luggage was already in the room etc. Due to the incompetency of the front desk staff not checking our booking in properly, I had to sit in reception waiting, my friend had to cut short the event they were attending to come back and speak with reception to get clarity. Whilst sat there, getting rude looks from the front desk staff as if you imply I shouldn't be there, I saw a mouse scuttling around... it came right upto the seat where I was - lovely. Video attached. For the cost, the rooms are pretty ordinary for the price, the bathroom quite dated, the only extra facilities were a mini fridge, you're not really getting much more than a standard Travelodge. The staff need to know how to check guests in properly on their system. Perhaps look into the mouse issue too.

Restaurant
Wingstop Manchester Piccadilly is a casual counter-serve chain that originated in Texas and has expanded globally. Customers rave about the delicious boneless bites in mango habanero and original flavors, as well as the generous portions of loaded fries, sweet potato fries, and kids' meals. The restaurant offers a variety of wings with flavorful coatings and is considered great value for money. It's known for its spicy wings, crispy fries, and tasty churros.
I visited Wingstop at Manchester Piccadilly and ordered wings, chips, and boneless chicken. The food was tasty, but the place was extremely busy, which made it hard to find a seat. Some of the chairs were too high, which made it difficult for my mom to sit comfortably. Also, the prices felt a bit high compared to other fast food places.

Absolutely disappointed with the service at Wingstop city Centre. We placed a takeaway order for our family as the place was extremely crowded. We ordered three 12-piece wings and two kids meals. When we got home — after a 40-minute drive back to Preston — we discovered the order was completely wrong. Not just a small mistake, but a total mess-up. Tried calling them multiple times to get it sorted, but no one answered the phone. This is absolutely unacceptable for a big brand like Wingstop. If you’re running a busy location, the least you can do is make sure the takeaway orders are correct — especially when customers are travelling long distances. No way to get it fixed once you’re home, and no customer support either. Honestly, a complete joke of a service. Will think twice before going back. A waste of time, money, and a ruined meal for the whole family.

The food is really good to say perfect! Very clean staff, flavours flawless, the ranchbis just 💕. I just have one comment that I think you really must take into consideration. The Quran and the music playing at the same time is not really something that would be dismissed. As a respectful place, I think this might be just a slip (I hope so). So please, if you are intending to play Quran, it's either to choose to play that and stop the music or not to play it at all in the store as no body is listening to it. But it doesnt work both of them at the same time. Thank you!

Beetham Tower, standing at almost 169 meters tall, is an iconic skyscraper in Manchester. Designed by Ian Simpson and opened in 2006, it boasts 47 storeys of shimmering glass that house a luxury hotel and apartments. This architectural marvel replaced a defunct Victorian railway viaduct and symbolizes Manchester's resurgence as a confident competitor to London.
It has been a while now since I was a guest at Hilton Deansgate, but I loved it a lot. A great view of Manchester from high up was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Pity Hilton are selling the hotel off to another company.

Beetham Tower is a unique skyscraper, included in the ranking of the thinnest structures in the world. The building was built in 2006 using the most advanced technologies at that time and was then considered the tallest residential building on the planet (the height of the skyscraper is 168 meters). On almost fifty floors there are luxurious apartments of different layouts and areas. Although only residents are allowed inside, it is definitely worth looking at the building from the outside, especially since guides are not needed for this, so the pleasure is completely free.

The Midland is an iconic Edwardian hotel in Manchester, offering upscale rooms and suites, as well as a spa and two refined restaurants. It has been recognized for serving the best traditional afternoon tea in the city by Conde Nast Traveller. The hotel's tearoom, located in a Grade II listed building, provides an opulent setting to indulge in a quintessential British afternoon tea experience.
We stayed here for 3 nights for a city break. The hotel was in a fantastic location for exploring the centre and surrounding areas. On arrival, we were issued our room, we had booked our room for a bath, however, we had a shower. A quick phone call to reception and it was rectified immediately. Our 2nd room was perfect. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had Elemis products which smelt gorgeous. The champagne bar was nice and relaxing, we sampled a few of the cocktails on offer. We had room service one morning for breakfast. It was great to select our choices and leave it on the door before 2.30am. 9.30am our hot food arrived with a smile. We used the fitness gym and spa area for an hour, it is worth noting that you have to pre book your slot to use the the pool & saunas. Overall, we would recommend the hotel

Me and my partner stayed here August 2025, it’s a perfect location and has a very luxurious setting as-well as lots of free amenities including fresh cucumber and strawberry water when you arrive. The staff we’re great and polite however the Spa staff we’re not very attentive and we’re hard to get hold of to book for the pool. Overall, amazing experience and great location. Will definitely be staying again.
Lauren O — Google review
I’ve stayed at The Midland twice now, and unfortunately, both experiences have fallen well below expectations. During my first visit, the air conditioning was broken and our room reached over 30 degrees. The windows couldn’t be opened as they were damaged, so the only solution offered was a fan. The room itself was in poor condition — with fittings hanging off the wall and a sink that wouldn’t drain. The spa was also disappointing: the pool was freezing, the steam room lights didn’t work, and breakfast the next morning included rancid juice. After this, the hotel kindly invited us back to experience The Midland “as it should be.” Sadly, the return visit wasn’t much better. The room smelled strongly of damp, several fixtures were again broken, lighting didn’t work properly, and the bathroom sink still wouldn’t drain. For a hotel marketed as luxury, The Midland consistently fails to meet even basic standards of comfort and maintenance. If you want to experience the glamour featured on their social media, I’d suggest simply visiting for a drink in the bar — that’s clearly where the investment has gone. That said, I must commend the front-of-house staff. They are consistently professional, kind, and helpful — truly the best part of this hotel.

Very stylish older classic style hotel. Quality lobby with automatic door as well as rotary door. Three lifts in service. The room was large in size with a comfortable bed. The location was central and the city was easily walkable. There were many restaurants and also supermarkets nearby which helps. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

A small note for light sleepers: the mezzanine floor rooms offer a rather intimate proximity to the Manchester tram tracks - approximately 5 meters, to be precise. The trams maintain their schedule until 2am on Saturdays, which makes for quite the authentic urban experience. Given the 122 years of history and renowned reputation of this hotel, one might reasonably expect double-glazed windows as standard. If you have business commitments the following day, it may be prudent to stay with another hotel in a quieter location.

I’ve now stayed here twice, it is the best service I’ve had in Manchester with great, friendly staff. They were more than happy to answer my questions and they were very polite, even helping me with the lift when my hands were full. The restaurant staff, which may be unaffiliated with the hotel, were also very polite and helpful. The rooms themselves were very nice and even came with a softer pillow which was a bonus. When the room was cleaned when I was out it was done very well. Will definitely be staying here again.

I wanted to stay in Manchester for a weekend and I tend to book Premier Inns for weekend breaks. All other hotels for the weekend, including Premium Inn were expensive but this Ibis Styles was affordable, no idea why because it's normally expensive. Having recently stayed in an Ibis Styles instead of a Premier Inn elsewhere, I was happy to book this. I was very happy with my choice, nice clean room, not overly scuffed. Comfy bed, polite staff. I was a bit cold in my room and couldn't get the heating to work but I didn't really give it long enough. I sleep in earplugs so fingers know how loud the corridors were. The bar closes at 11pm, which I think is too early and you get kicked out to finish drinks in the lobby. After first being irritated that we had to move, the lobby was the much better choice, firstly it wasn't freezing like the bar but most importantly, the entertainment was fantastic. The amount of people trying to get in who weren't even staying at the hotel was high, one managed but was later asked to leave. There was an interesting tale about a misplaced passport and a very enjoyable long lasting (3 parts at least) interaction with a food delivery guy and a hungry guest. I don't really like Manchester but it did feel much safer inside the hotel than out and I would happily return here. I'll definitely consider Ibis Styles over Premier Inns. It might be worth noting that the reviews about doorways and showers being tight on space are correct, I think some bigger people would struggle to get through some of the doors, but I'm not in anyway skinny and I didn't have an issue, so I think most people would be ok

Pretty ok hotel, but my room was super cold. When I arrived the heat was switched off. The heater sounded a lot so I switched it off overnight and switched it back on in the morning. When I got back in the evening it was switched off and the room was super cold again... If it wasn't for that, it would have been a pretty good stay.

Victoria at reception was super friendly, warm open personality & clearly loves helping the guest, definately Management Material! Location excellent, cheap parking nearby. Special thanks to Tracy our Breakfast Waitress who was working so hard & looking after us all in the Breakfast room, she was friendly & attentive while keeping everything well stocking, while clearing tables and cleaning table tops, Superwoman, she deserves some positive feedback from Management. No complaints about the room, shower was excellent and a large handbasin made bathroom feel luxurious. Room had a little bit of normal wear & tear, but nothing awful. Awesome location.

Room was small and compact. Quiet even facing out towards the busy Piccadilly Gardens. Quirky decor from the reception through to the room. Perfect location close to Piccadilly Station and with buses and trams immediately outside.

This was our second visit to this hotel this year, and what can I say, it is lovely and clean and has air con that works. The staff are pleasant, friendly and hardworking and the cleaning staff are great also. I was travelling with my daughter who is autistic and needs fresh towels everyday, which was provided. One day the cleaning staff forgot but I met her on the corridor and she was so friendly and I empathised about how busy they had been and helped as we had a lot of rubbish as we had fast food the night before! I was also impressed we had been given the exact room as our previous stay in April, which made it seem even more homely. The room was cleaned and beds tucked in after that. So well done everyone for making our stay great, it's appreciated. Yes it can be a bit noisy with everyone's air con going on at the same time and chatter through the walls, but that's normal. I slept well mostly during our stay. I think more considerate guests use this hotel. I looked at the "Neighbour" Hotel on Portland Street and, I think we will continue to visit Ibis here! Thank you so much for a lovely holiday x

Nice hotel, great location. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast maybe needs some work, the hot food section was quite inconsistent with quality over our three day stay. Quirky decor through our hotel maybe not for everyone but we enjoyed the style. Clean room and

My stay here was great! I felt especially safe as you required a room key to be able to access the lifts and saw an employee check to make sure. My room was prepped even before the stated check in time so I was able to go in as soon as I arrived. The staff were friendly and professional.

The Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly is a modern and luxurious property located just 150 yards from Manchester Piccadilly Station, offering easy access to important transport links. The hotel features posh rooms, a spa with saunas, ice showers, and a steam room, as well as a steakhouse that has won an AA Rosette award. Guests can also enjoy classic afternoon tea at the hotel's bar.
We have been staying at this hotel regularly for over a year now while our youngest attends Manchester Children’s Hospital, and every single time, Raj has gone above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed. From the moment we walk through the door at breakfast Raj greets us with the warmest welcome and a genuine smile. He always takes the time to chat with my children, making them laugh and feel at home which means so much when we’re often here for hospital appointments. His kindness, friendliness, and consistency never go unnoticed. Raj truly is the heart of this hotel. His professionalism combined with his caring, approachable personality makes such a difference to our stays. Staff like him are rare he treats every guest like family, and we are so grateful for the positive impact he has on what can often be stressful trips for us. Thank you, Raj, for always being so friendly, helpful, and cheerful. you turn a hotel stay into a genuinely comforting experience. You are a credit to the team, and we can’t thank you enough for everything you do.

We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Piccadilly! From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and professional. The room was comfortable and the bathroom gorgeous. Raj and the team were very helpful at breakfast with nothing being too much trouble. The evening meal was also great. 😊 A truly lovely stay.

So the hotel used to be the Mcdonald brand in sick I stayed many many times. So it hasn’t changed at all since it was rebranded as a Margate hotel. The rooms are exactly the same which is very much based on the old view of the building as an office for BT you even see a telephone that still has like a BT design on it it’s not comfortable or as warm as you would expect for a Four Star hotel anywhere else in Manchester. The amenities in the room are very very dated and basic you are getting fine touches in new hotels which are forced to also just coffee machines soft fires this has hard laminate flooring and not enough carpeting to make you feel like it’s a soft comfortable warm environment. Breakfast was okay but it was very very expensive even though I added it on it was £30. i’m a big fan of the Marriott brand and I love Marriotts all over the world but this one just does not live up to it. It’s just been bad as a married hotel. And it will not cheap. I paid for two nights and it was just under £200 for the rooms and I only bought breakfast in one light as I said which was already quite expensive. One of the more difficult things about this hotel is if you drive here you gotta pay for parking there it’s quite an expensive parking they don’t subsidise. It’s also very very difficult difficult to get to because because it’s all you have to go over a flyover the Mount union Way and if you miss the exit point of the entry point you can take another 15 minutes to get back to the hotel. It’s also very difficult difficult but people who live in MANCHESTER who men know you to try and get to this hotel it’s easiest somet to walk 15 minutes towards town and try and pick you up there.

Excellent spacious rooms, we had a great view of the city with a wall of windows. Staff were efficient. Lovely, buzzing bar and restaurant. Delicious breakfast with lots to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose here again.

Amazing spacious hotel with superb staff, they really took such a great care of us. Even when there was a last minute booking, the front desk staff immediately took charge, let us enjoy our room and sorted out everything in the meantime. Really kind and customer centric attitude, exceptional service. The rooms are really spacious with new equipment and of course very comfy beds. We had both dinner and breakfast and they were amazing, breakfast had loads of choices and fresh produce. Fun cook making your omelettes with a smile and you just felt welcome all the way. Incomparable with Hyatt and Maldron, had a terrible experience with both, waste of money and 2 days full of incompetence. I am so glad I eventually came to Marriott and will be in Marriott for many more upcoming trips

Extremely impressed by the warm and hospitable staff member Luka. She resolved my booking issue quickly and professionally. Whilst in reception I saw the way she greeted and interacted with other guests and it's rare to see this genuine care and helpful nature. Elevating check in experience and making such a wonderful first impression on what would otherwise be any standard hotel stay.
Judie P — Google review
The room was filthy. When we asked management to resolve, either clean or find us a new room, we waited over 45 minutes to hear back and only then after we followed up with Front Desk. There has been a cigarette butt in the 8th floor lobby for 3 days. No towels or wipes in the fitness centre. This may not be the worst hotel I've stayed at, but it comes close. It's a shame, I put it all down to the General Manager who is clearly absent from day to day operations. If they could walk the halls an inspect the occasional room then this has the makings of a really good hotel.

The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel, has undergone a multi-million-pound makeover and is located near the vibrant Deansgate district. The hotel offers luxurious rooms and suites with original art, a high-end spa, and a 12-meter pool. Guests can savor Japanese and Mexican small plates at Peter Street Kitchen or enjoy French cuisine and afternoon teas at The Library by Assouline.
I have booked this hotel a few times for my partner for business but this time I accompanied him. Mariela the reception manager was great. She accommodated us and allocated the perfect room. All the staff are super friendly and helpful, literally all of them. One of the cleaners this morning held open the lift for us as we were checking out when she saw us coming which I appreciated as the lifts can get really busy. The gym is an amazing gym. Most hotels have quite basic spaces but their gym is lovely. I wish I had more time to spend in it but I had a meeting :( Thanks for a lovely stay. We will be back 🙌🏽

This was our first time staying at the Edwardian Manchester, and we were so impressed from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and professional, making us feel right at home the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is stunning beautifully designed, spotless, and with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty of choice and great quality. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the city, and we really appreciated the little touches that made our stay feel special. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are already looking forward to coming back!

Location was perfect as you can walk to a lot of eatieres and clubs, although the club scene isnt very far from the hotel it didnt feel rowdy from the rear facing of the hotel. The spa facilities were nice clean and you could book your time slots. Breakfast was lovely, had a lot kf options and was very spacious and didnt feel busy. Staff were super friendly and so helpful. The only thing was when we were told we could check out a little later my friends locker key was then locked where ours was still working so we had to wait for a new key for them and we'd just come from the spa, so that wasnt ideal.

You can see the full video review on my Youtube channel @travel.stay.explore Stayed for 1 night. Originally booked a superior room but due to having VIP status i got upgraded to a Premium city view room. Unable to check in early at 13:30 - Not a problem but was told i'd get a text message to let me know when my room was ready. My mobile number was confirmed to me and said to be on my account. However no text was ever received. Returned at 16:00 and checked in then. For starters - Great location, within easy walking distance to all Manchester Sites and Attractions, minus football stadiums. Lobby, Bars, Restaurants and Spa look lovely and are very modern and luxurious looking. Had breakfast in the morning and couldn't fault it, great buffet with a wide range of foods also an a la carte breakfast menu if you don't want the buffet. The Room however was a let down. Rooms are now dated and looking tired. A miss match in bedside tables as well seemed strange. Bed sheet had a few stains on it and a hole in it. Bed was comfortable however. Tea and coffee making facilities where poor ( as shown on pictures) Nespresso machine just on desk. Kettle had lost its filter as well so limescale bits came out in the tea. Compared to the 5* stock exchange hotel in the city, who do the tea and coffee making facilities right. The Bathroom was nice, bit dated again but did a job. Bath in the bathroom as well, which is a plus for people wanting this. The hotel overall is nice and i can see the 5* rating has been given on the amenities, however the rooms aren't up to scratch currently hence why i have graded this only 3 stars in my review. A huge thank you to Aleisha, who was super friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and always greeted me with a smile. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made a difference and set this hotel apart. Great location, excellent amenities, and exceptional service — I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

This is the second time to visit this lovely placed hotel. I was quite surprised that it didn’t have “foam” (sponge) pillow, which finally I needa buy myself a pillow after the sleepless first night. The room itself is so far so good, despite the facts that I have comparisons on 5 years ago, and obviously that there are some “time marks” due to time flies. One compliment I would like to give to Bashar, the night receptionist, a very kind a friendly gentleman who helped solving problems in time. I am sure this lovely gentleman will provide assistance promptly whenever needed.
Leung K — Google review
Update: Thank you for taking the time to understand the issue and for working to resolve it, that truly matters. I’m very satisfied with how the receptionist and manager handled the situation today. Their professionalism and care made a big difference. I sincerely hope that in the future, room arrangements can better reflect the needs of each guest. And if a specific room type isn’t available, it would be very helpful to inform the guest in advance especially when the request was made well ahead of time, as ours was last month. Old review - Not worth the money and very disappointed!!! We booked a 5-star hotel, expecting comfort and the room type we reserved, but we were very disappointed. After a 4-hour train trip, my husband and I were given a twin bed instead of one big bed for two. I understand that on the Booking.com system you gave us two options, and my husband requested a double bed as soon as he made the booking — and that was a while ago. We didn't receive any confirmation until we arrived. Even though our booking clearly stated two adults, with both persons having the same last name and initials, Mr. & Mrs., doesn't that clearly make more sense as a married couple? On top of that, another unexpected issue: we were placed in a disability-accessible room, which the receptionist didn’t mention to us when we checked in. We never requested this. I fully respect that these rooms are essential for guests who need them, but this setup wasn’t suitable for us. Why? The sink was so low, I literally hurt my back brushing my teeth. Again, to confirm — we were not informed about this change at check-in. We were only informed that we got a twin bed! Can I sleep on the floor, on the ground, in a tent? Yes! But I really didn’t expect this when we paid for a 5-star hotel... For the price we paid and the hotel’s 5-star rating, we expected better. At the very least, we should have been given the correct room, especially since we made the request well in advance. Someone should have offered us a discount for the inconvenience — not just put us in whatever room was left without informing us. It’s so irresponsible. This was not the relaxing start to our trip we were hoping for. Extra — I changed the rating to even lower because in this room, we could hear water dripping the whole night!!!

Marie checked me in and she was so friendly and efficient, she made me feel comfortable in the hotel from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and there is controlled AC in each room. The bathroom was well stocked with nice scented products. The breakfast was of a good standard and they have a well stocked bar.

Stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Manchester Piccadilly for work, and overall, the experience was underwhelming. The room was fairly standard, but the bed was large and comfortable. The gym was disappointing - limited equipment and not much variety. Breakfast was what you’d typically expect from a Holiday Inn, nothing special. What really let the stay down was the service. On both visits to the bar, I had to wait an unreasonably long time to be served, even when it was quiet. There were staff behind the bar, but most seemed disengaged and inattentive. One lady was clearly overworked and doing her best under pressure, but the others offered no help. It gave the impression that staff morale was low and customer care wasn’t a priority. Service really makes a difference…all guests deserve to be treated with care and attention. Hopefully, management takes this on board.

We stayed here for 3 days and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect, right between the Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford, with Piccadilly Station just nearby, so getting around was super convenient. The staff gave us such a warm welcome and even congratulated us on our honeymoon, which made our stay feel extra special. We also used the (external) laundry service, which was very convenient. Breakfast was great, and everything during our stay was comfortable, friendly, and pleasant. We were truly happy here, and we’ll definitely stay at this hotel again next time we come to Manchester for City match🩵

Novotel Manchester Centre is a vibrant and modern hotel located in the heart of Manchester's lively Chinatown, just 500 meters from Manchester Central. The hotel offers air-cooled rooms with Wi-Fi access, a fitness center, and a stylish restaurant. Each spacious room features a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. With its convenient location, guests can easily explore the city on foot. The hotel also provides meeting space for business travelers.
We stayed at the Novotel Manchester City Centre to celebrate our anniversary, and from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so incredibly special thanks to Pasquale and Maggie on the front desk. They went above and beyond in every way possible — not only with their warmth and kindness, but with the genuine effort they put into making our stay unforgettable. Their smiles, thoughtful touches, and personal attention made us feel like more than just guests; they made us feel truly cared for. It wasn’t just great service — it was heartfelt, and it made all the difference to our anniversary. It’s rare to meet people who can turn a simple hotel stay into a memory that will last forever, but Pasquale and Maggie did exactly that. We are so grateful to them both and will always remember how special they made us feel. Thank you for making our anniversary magical — we will definitely be coming back.

I enjoy the Novotel brand and the Manchester hotel was a good choice. My upgraded room was spacious with good amenities. There was a pleasant seating area, comfy bed and generous bathroom. I do like the room has a fridge and coffee machine. The bathroom shower pressure was excellent and I liked the feature glass wall. The breakfast was high quality and the selection was very good. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Emily made me very welcome for breakfast. I would stay again.

Great hotel in town. Close to everything. Staff were very nice to deal with and always happy to listen. However. The air-conditioning didn't work well, if at all. The stains on the carpet in the room were dissapointing. It looked like they hadn't been shampooed since it was built. The executive suite had a sofa that nobody would want to sit on.

Absolutely brilliant stay as always. We always stay with yourselves at this hotel as the staff are amazing and nothing ever seems to be a problem…. We were treated on arrival from Ibby who remembered us from our previous visits and he could not do enough for us. Every time we stay with yourselves he goes above and beyond to make sure we have the best stay. He creates a really friendly vibe and is an absolute credit to the hotel with his professionalism. Cocktails in the bar were great and breakfast was also really good and we again will choose no other hotel whenever we are in Manchester as we stay in Accor chain wherever we go but this is our standout hotel in any city so thanks again for a wonderful experience
David B — Google review
The staff were excellent - friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. However, several issues made the experience disappointing overall. The hotel was advertised as having a sauna and steam room, which was the main reason I chose this relatively expensive option. Unfortunately, neither facility was available during my stay. This appears to be a recurring issue, with reviews dating back months reporting the same problem. If you're booking with the intention of using these amenities, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The shower in my room didn’t drain properly, forcing me to pause repeatedly to avoid flooding the bathroom. Standing in a pool of your own water is unhygienic and unacceptable at a hotel charging so much per night. Additionally, the in-room coffee machine wasn’t working - a minor inconvenience, but one that added to the overall sense of neglect. Aside from these issues, the room itself was fine and the staff were lovely. Still, the experience fell short of expectations, and I’m unlikely to return.

Absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough to help make my stay comfortable. Reception staff were brilliant, especially Faris who went out of his way to help me. A real credit to the team. I stayed with work but would come back for leisure as it was such a winner. The gym was brill, unfortunately the sauna wasn’t working but to know the staff were working hard to fix it. Room was massive and bed comfy

The service and location are really great — both exceeded my expectations! Unfortunately, the rooms have clearly seen better days and are quite worn out. While the bed sheets were clean, the rest of the room could have been much cleaner. With some renovation and better housekeeping, this place could be excellent.

The hotel is located in the heart of Manchester city centre, close to all the shopping and entertainment venues. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with a bathroom fitted with a great shower and plenty of storage space. There is also a bar and restaurant on site. WiFi is free for customers in the hotel.
Stayed here for one night in July, and I highly recommend it for the price! The room was bigger than expected for one person and nicely decorated, the staff was helpful, and the included breakfast (served at the larger hotel next door) had a broad variety of choices that were actually good! Made for a great start to the day. Note there was no mini fridge in my room. The seating areas in the lobby are comfortable for getting work done or waiting to leave for the nearby train station. Very walkable area, and surrounded by restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and grocery stores.

As a long time ALL Loyalty programme member I frequently use Ibis brand. However have not stayed at this (which used to be our regular) Ibis for a while due to inflated pricing. We did not take breakfast as having to leave the hotel - go out in the rain - to go to the Novotel wasn’t an appealing prospect. When did they stop doing breakfast in the Ibis restaurant? Welcome / staff, compared to Ibis / Accor hotels I stay elsewhere each week, appeared disinterested at best, and welcome wasn’t really a thing. As a Member I won’t prioritise this hotel again as it’s very expensive as a budget brand considering the service levels being absent.
Dj N — Google review
We thought we had booked into the very good Ibis at 2 Portland St which we had been to before, but on arrival found it had been sold to someone else, and ours was now half a mile down the road. The staff at 96 weren't particularly interested. I had requested, in advance, lactose-free milk (not soya, oat or anything like that) for breakfast. The staff on the desk said "Sorry, we don't do that". At No 2 they had gone to Tesco Express round the cornet especially to get some - that's good customer service. Breakfast was actually at the Novotel hotel next door. The restaurant manager there was very apologetic, but no one had told him about the request. He did everything he could to help, and all the staff there were good. The buffet breakfast was what you normally get, no better, no worse. Other than that the room was clean, if a bit snug, and the bed was very comfortable. But Ibis may have lost our custom in a very crowded market of competitors.

My sincere appreciation and thanks to her.

All staff at the hotel were really friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy, and we enjoyed the option not to have our room cleaned everyday. As this helped save energy both for the staff and the environment. Also, we weren't in the room for long periods of time, so it did not need the service. It was an excellent location for the event held at Manchester Exhibition hall, as well as close to find somewhere to eat and drink.

Mobile wi-fi access is conditioned on membership to their chain. They spoof the SSL certificates which breaks all secure HTTPS connections. In a normal world, this would be criminally liable. Not offering minimal secure internet access should be completely disqualifying for a hotel. Can't imagine whatever money they get from selling your data to be worth it.

When you book a Premier Inn you would expect certain standards to be met. The one I have always been pleased by is the staff. I can't say the same about this one. After a long flight the least you can expect is a smooth check in. They made sure to create every obstacle to delay our group's check in. Samantha in the restaurant made it worse every morning. We stayed in numerous premier inns all over the country. This is the worst. The location is great. The staff are to be reconsidered. Book somewhere else !

We stayed here as we went to see a band in the AO Arena. Check in was reasonably quick, rooms was good and clean upon arrival and it did the job. Only thing to mention is to pray before entering a lift as they they sound absolutely awful! Never got stuck though but it was a good laugh. 👍

My partner was having a really rough time not linked to our stay, and the staff went above and beyond at trying to help make him comfortable were they could to make things that little bit easier for him. We got a lot of empathy and it helped make our stay much nicer.

Straightforward Prem Inn, good location for AO Arena, Victoria Stn and Deansgate. Room was ok, aircon was a bit noisy and have reported it. Lobby area a bit of a mess with escalators to the main bank of lifts being out of use. There is another lift from the lobby but we weren’t told where any of them were on check-in. Also, basic wifi seemed fairly weak and slow on 8th floor.

Great place, close to the AO Arena and easy to get to. Rooms clean, beds comfy, breakfast was good. Maria on reception was so kind and helpful and was also serving breakfast. Great asset for your Premier Inn and so lovely with our party of 3.

Great room and location. The shower head was slightly broken, but still worked very well. Only downside was they promoted all 24hr bar and pizzas, but closed it by about 1 to 2am. Other than that, great stay
Jon H — Google review
Pretty bad stay. Super loud. Must be renovations in the room above me. Sounded like a screwdriver and hammer banging in my face starting at 8am. lifts suck. for some reason they gave me a room on the third floor and the bed doesn’t even do the purple premier inn thing :/

Hotel Gotham Manchester is a luxurious art deco-style venue located at the top of King Street. The chic rooms feature vintage decor, with opulent and decadent touches throughout. The hotel's main restaurant, Honey, offers stunning cityscape views from its arched windows and serves fine dining options for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Guests can also enjoy the private members bar on the top floor known as Club Brass.
The only fault that I can find with my short notice two day stay is the scaffolding... The room itself was beautiful, every detail has been carefully chosen. The bathroom was outstanding with a waterfall shower that was easy to operate and spacious enough for two. The staff have been phenomenal. No request was too small and every interaction apart from in the bar upstairs was perfect. a special shout out to the housekeeping staff,

The hotel exceeded expectations, every staff member was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was gorgeous and felt very private - we had no noise from other guests or outside and considering it's a busy city centre hotel that was impressive! The entire hotel was immaculate at all times, we enjoyed breakfast on both days. Fresh pastries and a lovely selection of hot and cold food. Hotel Gotham is the best hotel I've ever been in.

A good hotel to stay at in Manchester. Nice decor but slightly dated overall including the TVs. Good location. The mini bar should have a bit more items to offer and for the price they should definitely have more still water in the room. All the areas could use a bit more dusting given the dark decor. Staff are friendly but reception area needs an upgrade for sure as the back office is visible to the customers and it’s not a good view to say the least.

Exceptional service in a great location. Valet parking well worth the money. A quirky interior and impressive exterior. We held our daughter’s wedding reception in the hotel restaurant. All went smoothly, the evening, food and drink enjoyed by all. Highly recommend The Gotham Hotel .

I booked three rooms at Hotel Gotham as a treat for my team, and it didn’t disappoint. The rooms were fantastic with a true luxury feel — complete with complimentary tea, coffee, Nespresso pods, still and sparkling water. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we all had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was high quality, beautifully presented, and served with just the right level of “Good Morning”, especially appreciated after a night out in Manchester! We enjoyed cocktails before heading out, and both the Cosmopolitan and Old Fashioned were mixed to perfection. Service from the bar staff was second to none. Spike on reception deserves a special mention too — he was attentive, made checkout seamless, anticipated the need for VAT receipts, and as a fellow Boltonian, he couldn’t put a foot wrong. Overall, our stay was outstanding. The whole vibe of the hotel feels worth every penny. If I were to nitpick: the coat hangers could use a dusting, the shampoo dispenser pump was broken, and the wardrobe/mini-bar light doesn’t switch off properly when the doors are closed. Thankfully, the cupboard monster stayed put! (Room 103) A brilliant experience all round. I’d happily recommend Hotel Gotham and look forward to staying again.

The staff were out of this world amazing and helpful, a really beautiful hotel with really interesting decor. The drinks we had were lovely and the room was so comfy and gorgeous. I’d love to stay here again. The only minor issues we had is the aircon didn’t work despite endless trying. There was a brown stain on the bedsheet which I didn’t expect from a 5 star hotel and the breakfast wasn’t amazing for the price. I’ve had much better at cheaper cafes

Myself and my partner had a beautiful 2 night stay at hotel Gotham in Manchester for his birthday. We purchased a voucher for our stay and it was so worth it. From beginning to end, service was impeccable and staff were so friendly. Lots of lovely little extra touches that made the trip that bit more special. Including a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. Room was to die for! Breakfast both mornings was supreme and the very helpful doorman/concierge secured our late check out and luggage while we explored MCR a little more before heading home. Great location. The exterior of the hotel was getting some rendering work completed so there was scaffolding outside the building right up to the top floor so I’d say just to keep the curtains in the room closed for privacy reasons but please don’t let this put you off going at this time as we did not experience any noise during our time. Hotel was absolutely beautiful from end to end. We will most definitely be returning in the future. Thanks again!

The two night stay I booked at the Hotel Gotham in Manchester for my husband and myself, was the perfect way to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. It is such a unique, quirky and beautiful place to stay with such friendly staff, amazing food, stunning decor and excellent attention to detail. The room we booked was one of the lower priced rooms but in all honesty it was still a perfect room and I didn't feel I was missing out on anything that a higher priced room would of given. Just a couple of issues though. On the day of departure, the water went murky and the lifts were out of action for a time. However, these issues were dealt with speedily and, as I said, it was on our departure. I would love to go back there, may be to celebrate our 40th anniversary ;-)

Planned day/night away with my son for a break as he wanted time away and retail therapy. We planned one night but ended up staying two. Rooms were lovely and clean with the best window view we could prob ask for, pretty much floor to ceiling window. Night time was lovely looking out at it all lit up. Location was perfect for what we planned. Staff were amazing, couldn't help enough.

The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, both at evening check-in, and our 5am departure. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had a calm and friendly atmosphere. It worked really well for a young family - which is not always the case at the more budget end of hotels around Manchester. The room was clean, the bathroom was much nicer than expected, and the beds were comfy. We had a really decent night there, and will very likely book again.

Would recommend this hotel! It's close to all amenities clean with excellent staff. We stayed for 1 night 2 adults and a child. The extra bed was pulled out and made up it was surprisingly comfortable! Breakfast was included and was delicious. Big shout out to Ryan he is a credit to you! His customer service was outstanding. Would not stay anywhere else in future.

I was supporting a gentleman on this visit. We had previously visited in 2023 and the gentleman in question wanted to stay in the same hotel. The accessible room was great and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was included and had a great variety to choose from. The best part is the staff, absolutely fantastic and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble..special thanks to Avvi (probably not correct spelling) and Adam, they're a credit to the hotel. The gentleman I support is already planning a visit for next year.

We stayed for a couple of days to celebrate our child’s birthday. Great location and lovely staff. The sofa bed was super uncomfortable and a lovely staff member Frankie - upgraded us so I could have a good night sleep on a different and more comfortable sofa bed. The breakfast was nice, the toiletries were Dove, and the staff were lovely. The second night on a more comfy sofa bed was much better! Thank you Frankie!

The manager lady at the storage room -which is located behind the reception- was super rude and grumpy. All i wanted was to take my luggage back from the storage room and she asked me wait in the long check-in queue in a very rude manner. Customer relationship management was so poor. You should teach your site staff on communication skills. Even if it was pride week, there was literally 0 posters/ads in the hotel.

Perfect location for me and where I was based for the week, and only a 15 minute walk to the train station. Room very comfortable, great shower! Had breakfast which was really nice. Staff helpful and friendly. Will definitely use again next time I'm in Manchester.
Ryan M — Google review
The black lady in the reception lacks energy and was not very professional serving customers. She just minimised language and effort used at all possible times. The chinese looking lady was on the other hand very helpful, she talked 5 minutes to a hotel guest about where to see and eat in Manchester alone. It was a world apart service. The hotel breakfast was very tasty, and enough staff to serve. Recommended.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Manchester, the Holiday Inn Express Manchester CC - Oxford Road is an ideal choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast options that are fresh and warm, setting you up nicely for your adventures. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, greeting visitors with smiles and offering assistance whenever needed.
I had a pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Express Oxford Road, Manchester. The location is excellent — close to public transport, shopping areas, and city attractions. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was satisfying, with a good variety to start the day. However, my experience on the last day was affected by lift issues. One of the lifts was out of order, and the other was extremely slow during peak check-out and breakfast hours. Additionally, some guests misused the lift by blocking it while collecting their luggage, which added to the delays. Overall, a good stay in terms of location, service, and amenities — but lift management during busy hours could definitely be improved.

Stayed 2 Nights, Check in went smoothly and met by manager Steve who was friendly and checked us in with all our requests and was very helpful. Our room was very clean tidy and quiet so we had a good nights sleep on both nights. Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was maintained and staff constantly kept the area tidy. Check out was a breeze and Shamilla was friendly and stored our cases for later. Can't fault the service here everyone worked hard and was friendly including the maids.
Mark S — Google review
Booked for 1 night for a trip with some friends, turned up and there was an issue with our booking- staff were brilliant to sorting it out, but then the cards to activate the lift didn’t work for us or anyone else that was checking in, staff again fixed this super quickly. Reception team were excellent. The room was okay at first and looked rather presentable until I laid on the bed and thought the pillow felt a bit off, it was almost crunchy.. pulled back the case to find it COVERED in stains… (shown in pictures) The bedding sheets themselves were clean, but the pillows and mattress underneath were not, at this point we were concerned about the cleanliness of everything else that we decided to leave and not even stay the night.. Holiday Inn express your staff are brilliant and so friendly, but the state of the room was rather concerning.😣
Amelie — Google review
Arrived at the Holiday inn express, looked ok, got to reception to be told that I had booked a standard double room, I had definitely booked a standard twin, the girls on reception were very polite, but told me that I had booked a standard room which meant that they could change it to a double, nowhere in any print did it say this. They did change it to a twin, but the fact that they said I had not booked a twin was very annoying. Dusty room, my son has allergies which set his asthma off and there were no windows that you could open. The shower head was mouldy. So all in all I would not recommend staying here.
Dawn R — Google review
A budget hotel a few minutes walk from Oxford Road train station. Cheap, no-frills hotel, offering the standard Holiday Inn Express experience. It’s not a modern property, so feels a little tired, needing some TLC. Breakfast wasn’t as good as other HI Express hotels offer, but was fine. Note that there’s two seating areas. The front desk staff were excellent and IHG loyalty was properly recognised.
Michael C — Google review
The staff are nice but the hotel is run down, with stained carpets and needs a refurb. I was a bit alarmed at the lack of safety consideration as a lone female - my room number was read out aloud in full in a lobby with multiple other guests, I was then put in an a room with a door adjoining someone elses. For this reason I will not stay again.
Jemma C — Google review
Run down hotel in a terrible area. I have stayed before when the hotel opened over a decade ago. The hotel hasn’t had a refurbishment since then just multiple coats of paint to disguise the filth. Reception surly and so slow, thankfully you only need them to collect a room key. Security guard on entrance indifferent and asleep most nights. Housekeeping are great and do the best they can with owners that clearly don’t care and just wish to extract cash from tourists. Rooms are dated even by IHG standards these are at least 3 designs behind as such carpets are disgustingly filthy and discoloured, furniture chipped and beyond use, beds and mattresses beyond their life span with ill fitting mattress topper to hide the bed springs poking you in the night. Curtains, voles and soft furnishings all dirty and stained. Wall paper frayed and coming away from wall. Shower was pathetic, supposed to be a power shower and comes out a luke warm drizzle, this could be due to the amount of black mould on the shower head. Toilet fitted with broken low flow flush requiring multiple flushes to empty so defeated the purpose of a low flow flush. Air-con looks to have been retrofitted with controls placed so close to the floor unless you’re as tall as a toddler you’ll struggle using them. TV didn’t work throughout the stay, reported to reception on the 1st day and nothing done upon check out 4 nights later. Breakfast typical IHG bland, frozen pre cooked crap that doesn’t require a chef to re-heat. Inadequate seating for the number of hotel rooms so unless you wish to rise on the microwaves first ping, you’ll be fighting for a seat and god forbid if you try to take a tray to your room. Area around the hotel has been tarted up a little in the last decade however the general vibe and street life has declined dramatically. This area of the city definitely feels unsafe to walk alone from early evening until the morning due to the amount of homeless and ‘boat people’ begging on the streets, hanging round street corners dealing illicit substances or flying through the pavements on illegal e-bikes picking up uber orders. Overall unless you’re staying on a massively discounted rate it’s not worth the full asking price and any of the other IHG hotels in the city would be a better shout.

Nestled in the vibrant Northern Quarter of Manchester, The Cow Hollow Hotel is a charming boutique retreat that beautifully marries industrial chic with Victorian elegance. Housed in a former textile mill, this hotel captures the essence of its historic surroundings while offering modern comforts. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. With a stylish cocktail bar and café on-site, it's perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.
Excellent small boutique hotel in Manchester with multiple close tram stops and only about a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly. Rooms are small but comfortable and the entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a ton of complimentary features which just add to the already fantastic experience. We will definitely plan to return!

Upon arrival to the hotel we managed to park right outside on the street which was a bonus. When we arrived in reception, the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly and showed us up to our room. They explained that they give a welcome board with a few snacks and some drinks free of charge. When we arrived in our room it was kind of small and the receptionist realised that maybe we would like a bigger room so he immediately upgraded us free of charge to a much nicer and larger room which we were very pleased with. Within five minutes he was back upstairs with complementary drinks and small snacks which was lovely. The hotel is situated fairly close to Piccadilly Gardens and the surrounding restaurants in the area so it means that it is easily walkable to find somewhere nice to eat. The hotel even has a list of places that they recommend to eat nearby with a small description of each place which was very helpful to us. We had a good night sleep and the next morning we were served, to the room a nice light breakfast in the morning which was banana waffles and coffee. We thoroughly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Manchester on a budget that wants a nice friendly place to welcome them home.

A really beautiful space in the heart of the Nprthern Quarter of Manchester just 12 minutes walk from either Piccadilly or Victoria station. Quiet and cosy with so much attention to detail - Prosecco and nibbles in the evening , cookies and milk at bed time and a cooked breakfast each morning with cheesy omelettes , avocado toast, juice , fruit snd endless coffee. It’s a capsule eco-friendly hotel so bear in mind there are no wardrobes and the shower does not get very hot - but the room is very comfortable with plenty of plugs and amenities. But the real stars are the team here. Everyone was exceptional but a special shout out to Sedine and Dia. Bursting with positivity, coffee and breakfast service to the rooms , always super attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I’d recommend staying here just for the customer service - truly exceptional !

Great looking hotel with some lovely touches. Complimentary prosecco in the evening and cookies at night, nice simple if slightly small breakfast brought to the room. The room was in the basement and was noticeably damp, so much so that we woke feeling cold and damp and didn't have a good night's sleep, the bed was too cold and damp to lie and relax on. Staff were helpful but could not move us as there were no other rooms available. I would only stay here again if I were not in the basement, but for the damp I would give it 5 stars

Great location. A perfect boutique hotel. It’s quite cozy with great ambiance and amenities. There’s a small hotel bar and coffee machine upstairs and downstairs. Breakfast was included for us and it is brought to the room at a scheduled time. Also had the most comfortable beds and pillows. Had such good sleep. Definitely coming back for a return trip.

Stayed here for a work trip a few months back. I usually stay at the Premier Inn, but this was the same price so I thought I'd check out a new place. Arrived late so missed all the little extras for the day. This situ with the £100 deposit on arrival (and check out) was a bit of a palaver. Room was very well presented but tiny, in the basement and not very comfortable. Looked cool though. Nice bathroom. Cold breakfast. Pleased I tried out The Cow, nice change from PI.

Fantastic small boutique hotel, smalls are small but this is due to the nature and age of the building, but its the quirkiness that makes this place. Amazing old wooden floors and are a bit wonky in places add to the overall feel for this hotel. The staff are great, with it being small they know your name and cannot do enough for you, for example we left our bags on checkout and when we went back yo puck them up we were offered drinks, its the little touches that make Cow Hollow so special.
Glyn B — Google review
Lowering to 2 stars - hotel kept my £100 deposit (despite saying they would return it). It took several weeks and multiple emails before they finally confirmed they had indeed forgot to return it. Be careful to check that yours is returned if you stay here! I’ll update this if/when I get my money back. Update: almost one month and many emails later they finally refunded me ——— Rated 3 stars, though others in our group would likely rate higher. Pros: The woman at reception was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel went above and beyond with complimentary touches (breakfast in bed, a glass of prosecco, and cookies before bed were all amazing). Cons: Unfortunately, the man working at the bar was quite rude. Rather than chatting with guests, he talked AT us, often interrupting mid-sentence to boast about living in Italy and make sweeping, condescending statements like “all Italians prefer prosciutto to salami” and questioning whether our pizza was authentic. It felt more like an interrogation than hospitality, and we eventually chose to wait outside rather than stay in the lounge when waiting for the rest of our party. The rooms were also a disappointment (honestly the smallest I’ve ever stayed in). There was no desk, chair, mini fridge, or even space to place items (staff had to put welcome materials on our bed because there was nowhere else). We had to manoeuvre around the bathroom door to get into the bathroom, and the door didn’t grant much privacy. They were also very stuffy, but opening the windows wasn’t really an option due to the loud noise from drunken people on the street below.

You can see the full video review on my Youtube channel @travel.stay.explore Stayed for 1 night in a standard double room. As the name suggests the hotel is the old former Manchester Stock Exchange. The building itself is stunning, inside and out. Lobby is fairly small and could become tight and busy at peak check in times, however staff were very professional and you even get a complimentary welcome glass of champagne. Room itself was nice, if looking a little tired in parts, however there were premium features and a well stocked mini bar. Tea and coffee making facilities were excellent as well. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was on the strange side and a let down, considering the 5* rating of the hotel, as the shower was not in the bathroom. This meant there was no where to hang your towel. Very strange for a luxury hotel. Enjoyed my stay at the hotel however and would stay again. preferably in a room with a shower in the actual bathroom You can see the full video review on my Youtube channel @travel.stay.explore

Tender Restaurant booked for birthday celebration. Had a wonderfully dining experience. Excellent sommelier Rafael and Byron, maitre'd Guillam and Daphne. Lee busy with 1 assistant in the kitchen. Amazing Palmer champagne. We loved the quality of the nocella olives, sourdough with butter and honey. Followed by oysters and ox cheek croquette. Main we shared a beautiful chateaubriand and very reasonably priced. Finally match cheesecake paired with a wonderful dessert ice wine. Glad we walked back to our hotel. Just such good service and attentiveness. Thank you

Kampus is nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I moved in, it was clear that their primary goal is to squeeze every penny out of you, charging for absolutely everything. The apartments themselves are bang average at best and they are unbearably hot in the summer, making it almost impossible to get any comfort. To make matters worse, my heating didn’t work for pretty much the entire duration of my time there, which made the already uncomfortable living conditions even worse, particularly during winter. On top of all this, they increase the rent every single time you decide to renew, showing just how little they value their tenants. Once you move out, don't think you'll get a penny of your deposit back. They charged me for ridiculous things, including excessive cleaning fees and damage claims that were completely unfounded. The staff are utterly incompetent and lazy, failing to respond to queries in a timely manner and showing zero effort in resolving any issues. When I did manage to speak with someone, they were rude and completely unhelpful. In summary, Kampus is a money-grabbing operation that takes advantage of tenants at every turn. The apartments are far from what they promise, the staff are unprofessional and rude and their charges are extortionate and unjustified. I would strongly advise against renting here—it's a complete rip-off and an incredibly frustrating experience. There are far far better apartment schemes in Manchester.
Courtney M — Google review
Living in Kampus is absolutely amazing experience. The staff at the front desk are very friendly, especially Raques, who was always so kind to my dog. Every time we passed by, he would give my little one a treat, which made my dog so happy. My dog even got excited whenever it was Raques’ shift, keen to go back home during walk lol.
Lanjun Z — Google review
The location is great, and the apartments are nice, but there’s one guy who works night shifts sometimes, and the way he talks to me and handles things feels so unprofessional and rude. It makes me feel unwelcome in my own apartment!
Tom B — Google review
Lovely experience, we had a viewing with Faye and she was super nice and helpful. The amenities and facilities of the building are amazing and the flats are really spacious.
Verónica F — Google review
We lived in Minshull House (small Victorian warehouse building) for a year, and it was honestly our best renting experience ever. The neighbors were quiet, and we didn’t have many issues with outside noise thanks to the triple-glazed windows, though I was initially worried because of the nearby clubbing spots. It’s great that they are pet-friendly, usually it’s an issue to rent a place when you have cats. I loved the green landscape design, the amazing Pollen Bakery (I’ll miss it dearly), and the care taken to preserve the historical features. I wish there were more places like Kampus instead of soulless glass buildings. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always brightening the day. Bills were as expected, and there were no additional charges when we left since we cleaned thoroughly and didn’t damage anything. We had to move back to London due to work changes, but I already miss Kampus so much. It was a superb experience compared to renting from private landlords.

Trust me, if it's coming from a hotelier who marks every criteria, this is the place you call home! I will definitely miss the people of Kampus and the flat once I go back home!. Thank you Kampus! You have a wonderful staff and for making my stay a memorable one! <3

Market
Heaton Moor Producers Market is a popular monthly event that takes place on the first Sunday of every month, except January. The market showcases a variety of local producers offering quality food and drinks, including craft beers from Heaton Hops, artisan bread from Green Hut Bakery, and delicious treats like sticky toffee puddings. In addition to food and drink, visitors can enjoy hot meals from local delis and restaurants, as well as browse through arts, crafts, jewelry, and gifts.
Lovely experience with local crafts, especially with a coffee and sunshine

A fair mix of producers of both food and crafts, including many long-term attendees and a solid scattering of newcomers. It is worth a visit; I recommend engaging with the market holders, many of whom look hopeful but quiet! New stalls often add to the standards, and it's nice to see what they offer. I've never regretted a chat or buying something that's a bit of an indulgence. Often, artisan-type stalls will be open to commission work and one-offs. Great pies — usually from a couple of stalls, including what I call topless/bottomless pies, akin to substantial sausage rolls. Lovely embroidery and knit work. Some really nice art. Tasty ice cream. Good coffee. And, being on Shaw Road in Heaton Moor, it's on or adjacent to streets with fixed shopping options that are well worth a visit. A solid assortment to see and engage with. Always seasonally adjusting. Consistently worth a visit.

Love it! Lots of incredible homemade foods to buy. Things for your family dog (plenty there today) and lots of other things that people make and produce. Support your local businesses everyone. I bought bread, pizza and STICKY TREACLE PUDDING! Yum yum.

Nice market. Lovely atmosphere. Less hipster than some other artisanal markets. Obviously some stalls set their prices on acid e.g. £2 for a scone or whatever, but some wonderful food. I can particularly recommend the Nepalese momos.

Nice local market, lovely local products for house, deco, tasty food and nice plants, once a month, (1st Sundays) worthy to visit! Good atmosphere too! This last time more stalls with products. Lovely cakes!

Had a lovely walk to Heaton Moor Producers Market today. There was plenty of fresh produce to choose from. Pies, sausage rolls, bread, cakes, cheese, meat, olives and humus. Plenty of artwork, jewellery, pottery and a Ukulele band. Well worth a visit. See you all next month.

Great little market, lots of food to buy and home made produce stalls, artists and pet stalls to make but a few, well worth a visit. Held on the first Sunday of each month.

Lovely vibey artisan market with an eclectic range of crafts, plants and international cuisines. Helpful and friendly stall holders happy to offer recommendations and explanations.
