Fish Tavern Pyxida in Nicosia offers an inviting experience from the moment you step in. The fried cod, served with a super tasty garlic sauce, was another standout, with the cod fried to perfection. The cuttlefish was also well executed. However, not all dishes met expectations—the shrimps, for instance, were a bit disappointing, lacking the seasoning and flavor one hopes for. Similarly, while the cuttlefish shined, the octopus fell a bit short, appearing dry and not quite as juicy as desired. I wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about the other fried fishes either, as they simply didn’t match my preferences. A significant downside was the pacing of the meal; dishes arrived rather slowly, with some items, particularly the fish served at the end, arriving much later than expected despite being perfectly cooked. Overall, while the meze has its strong points, it could benefit from more creative dishes to truly showcase the potential of the menu. In summary, Fish Tavern Pyxida impresses with its charming ambiance, friendly service, and a few standout dishes, though there’s room for improvement in the pacing and innovation of the meze.

Excellent place in Nicosia for fresh fish! Both indoor and outdoor areas are beautifully designed, with a nice atmosphere. They start serving at 7 pm, staff are kind, and prices are very reasonable.

Outstanding fish restaurant! I visited it many times over 15 years and it became better every time. Now they have much better look inside then it was years ago and it was not bad before. Fish is the freshest and very god choice. Everything is delicious, my regards to the chef. Service is very friendly and professional, thank you. The restaurant deserves Michelin star! For that reason we chose a selection of dishes some of which can be seen in the pictures.The food was delicious, I especially recommend the salmon sushi uramaki! We visited this place because we heard really good comments for meat meze. Actually it was just okay. In my opinion their meze has less meat than it should be compared to other places and too many carbs, spinach rice, beef orzo, pourgouri, potatoes two different ways and ravioles! About the meat quality and cooking yes, but not enough like 3 pieces of pork souvlaki and chicken for each, shieftalia, sausage, and cypriot beef liver for meat. I was waiting all night for meat because i didn't want to fill up with all the other and it wasn't enough! That's my honest opinion, if you eat from all the dishes yes is too much if not and you are waiting for meat then no!

I had a nice experience at Zanettos Taverna. The manager is very kind and generous, which immediately sets a warm atmosphere. The meze was diverse and plentiful, including dishes like Sheftalia, souvlaki, fried potatoes, zucchini, rivoli, salad, and bulgur,and rice along with several tasty starters. The food was delicious, especially the chicken and sheftalia, which stood out as my favorites. At the end, they even served dessert, which was a lovely touch. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy authentic Cypriot cuisine. I definitely recommend trying this place if you’re in the area!

We wanted to taste traditional food. We found this place, it's a mezze taverns. Not a classic tavern but the atmosphere was great. They proposed us to take mezze menu (to be honest, i don't think they have another option of service... hahaha). The food is good and arrived in very big quantities!! 22 different mezze! The meat arrived at the end...so wait for it. We took a Rose wine, beers, soda ext... and paid 38€ each. Not the best food in town but definitely worth the experience and your money. Excellent service.

Zanettos is a Cypriot traditional taverna, located in Old Nicosia in a traditional house of the last century. Nice ambient. The menu is reach and offers tasty dishes of Cypriot traditional cuisine. Be ready for big portions. Being the group of seven, our choice fell on meat "meze", which comprises of more then a dozen different plates, served in a "one-after-the-other" way. The staff is fast and efficient; maybe, so fast that our table became filled up with the plates in almost no time. Literally, every square inch of the table. When no more space on the table, the plates start to be built in "floors" (on the top of the glasses, etc.). Maybe, if served slower, we were possible to assist and free some space on the table, emptying some plates. However, I must agree that fast serving is way better than slow, typically met, when the main plates usually remain intact because starter plates are served in a delayed manner, so the guests, having long pauses in serving, satisfy their hunger with salads, pitta bread... Zanettos is highly recommended place for enjoying the Cypriot local dishes based on meat.

It was the best choice for dinner with family or friends. First of all, the staff are very friendly and the very first impression are welcoming. The food was really amazing and we received a lot of dishes for the house's (up to 20 I think). The price was decent.

An interesting experience of Cypriot meze with a little bit of everything: salads, fresh french fries, zucchini fries, pork and chicken meat, two types of sausages, halloumi cheese, bulgur, a type of rice with spinach, olives and a good dessert. A little bit too much for two people in my opinion. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of their green garden terrace during our dinner time, surrounded with jasmine and trees. The food is good and fresh, and I couldn't help but notice that the terrace got crowded immediately after 7 pm, and more than half of the customers seemed to be locals, spending quality time with family on a Sunday evening, enjoying this location and the meze meals.

My wife and I had dinner at this charming French restaurant. We had an excellent meal that was very reminiscent of homemade French food and were served by a waitress with a pleasant manner about her. Finally, the owner of the restaurant was very hospitable. She greeted us kindly and checked in to see if we were enjoying our food. Overall, this restaurant was a great dining experience for us.

We had a business launch at a weekday with 2 more colleagues. It was a very exciting experience as the staff the taste and the service were all excellent. The atmosphere is amazing, there is a bar , a seating area and a small outside area where you can have a coffee drink or food. The staff is professional and very friendly and supportive with the menu. The plates were very well prepared and cooked, the tastes combined the traditional cuisine with the fine dining experience. The prices are in the high side however can say that is value for money. For sure I will visit again when I will be in the area.

I used to visit this place every week, it was one of my favorite restaurants, if not my favorite. Lately my experience has not been as good as it used to be. The food is below average, the portions are so small. My food was served cold. This place has a unique aesthetic and an excellent location but something needs to be done with the food because it is going from bad to worse.

I was in this restaurant for the first time in 2019 and I want to tell you that for me it is still considered the best restaurant for food in Nicosia because there is always delicious food, excellent service and never any complaints, I love this place!

We have been here for a brunch, lovely place, quite fancy I would say. It is very quiet and relaxing, the service is very attentive! Menu includes quite a variety of items, mainly breakfast one with quite a few pages of desserts. We had an home lette with mushrooms and ham which was lovely, the feta and spinach pie was good too! My daughter choose the strawberry and chocolate pancake but ended up eating the chocolate namelaka. For me the only thing I would change is to add a crunchy layer on the namelaka, maybe a crunchy feuillantine at the bottom stick to the sponge and put something a bit more liquid in the middle, to make it maybe a bit less heavy, but flavour was good overall! Prices are reasonable too considering the place

This is a sophisticated gem in the heart of the capital! We came for late evening desserts, fresh lemonade and a glass of wine. Very elegant atmosphere with impeccable service and the desserts can be called gourmet masterpieces! The best homemade apple pie with scrumptious vanilla bean ice cream, delicate chocolate Melody dessert, fresh strawberry lemonade and a surprisingly tasty local Cypriot Sauvignon Blanc ended our first evening in Lefcosia on a high note! The staff - super professional, polite and catering to all our desires! We will definitely come back for a full dinner experience! 10 out of 10 for fine dining! Reservations are a must, especially on weekends - this is a very popular spot.

Very busy place! You might need to wait for 10-15 mins to get the table. But once you get a seat, the service is quick. Affordable Italian food, I had a seafood pasta and the portion is way too much 😵 wasn’t able to finish it. If you are looking for some easy option to eat, this is the place!

This place is amazing for a beer night out, very chill and extremely sociable with 300+ beer flavors, it’s hard to choose you’d want to taste all. I recommend going for some nachos and beer since the food was a bit on the disappointing end. We ordered flame bbq wings : they weren’t that good, they were barely marinated with bbq sauce and they lack flavor and moisture. The pork ribs: not what you expect from ribs, barely any meat on them and it wasn’t tender at all. The house burger was good, the meat taste was a bit weird, maybe it needed a bit of fat and some sauce to the burger but this was the best of the all items chosen. The fries and the twister fries were really really good and the service was exceptional considering the excessive number of client there.

Relaxing!! To go back, I only had a couple Long Islands, but the music, environment and staff were incredible. They went above and were warm to talk to and actually made my day. After passing by 3 overcrowded bars where I couldn't even order a drink, these guys were the perfect ambassadors for my first 24 hrs in Cyprus. Besides the well made drinks, I heard music from the early 2K times, my younger days, and it was so chill. 100% will come back!

A great place with a wide selection of beer and a diverse menu. The staff is very friendly, the bar has a large space, and there are various events — from watching football and sports competitions to beer festivals. You can also play billiards or darts, which I definitely consider a benefit!

Huge portions of decently priced fare: burgers, steaks, salads. Extremely tasty. My teenaged children really enjoyed it. The beer selection is unmatched in the whole of Cyprus I’d wager. We went in the evening and sat in their terrace outside, which was very breezy even though the temperature was still in the mid-30s despite the lateness of the hour.

For the duck bao bun: the bap bun was perfect but the duck didn’t taste that good it had a fishy taste For the ramen duck gyoza: I think I made a mistake of ordering duck, will try prawns some other time but its a really good ramen and a very big portion For the sushi: we ordered a selection; California salmon signature roll dragon roll crab crunchy and philedelphia salmon roll. Veryyy disappointing, so much rice with barely any protein portion. For the ramen money to value is good as for the sushi definitely not

So the food is below average. Small portions, no taste at all and the quality is worst than any fast food.. I am a customer since 2013 but the quantity and quality is below low.. Unfortunately all the influencers are advertising wakamama but now I understand why, because no one will come again.. sorry but I am so disappointed from the food.. pad thai is not pad thai..

Their sushi is mediocre and their warm foods aren’t my cup of tea. I think it’s a nice place to hang out with a group of people/family for food and drinks, because they offer big tables but mainly because it accommodates Cypriots who don’t like sushi. Plus, there are even options for those who do like sushi but are vegetarians. For service, you just press a button, which is convenient.

I ordered food from Wagamama often in Cyprus but first time visited in Nicosia. Was very disappointed. My favorite sushi- Volcano rolls, but it was very fatt, not tasty. Tuna sashimi was very thick. Spicy tuna sushi normal. Service: I was alone, and one of waiters asked me when he brought sashimi- Ukrainian I'm or russian?, and two times "do you live alone in Cyprus????" I came for dinner after work. I waited for bill 10 min. I spent 35 euro in 30 min. Never again

If I had to rate the food alone it’d be a 4, as the food was delicious. However, the dine-in experience was problematic. The tableware was dirty and had to be replaced, and there was no antiseptic gel or condiments on the table (that was also a bit dirty). The waiter was kind and did her best, but was under training and needed assistance from her colleague.

A great place to get an Asian fix. Clean food, fast service, reasonable prices - but very uncomfortable tables and chairs (the biggest reason to take a point away). The service is good and we always leave happy and well fed.

The foods were absolutely delicious and the prices are fair for the food (we paid around €20/pp). We visited on a peak time but the service still managed to be very quick and pleasant. I would recommend sitting outside since it’s cozier (it’s warm still) and the best thing is that you can ask to sit outside to the non-smoking area. Also make sure you try their bao buns and duck gyozas, they are absolutely delicious! I’m definitely going back again!

We enjoyed our dinner yesterday. The music is very nice. It's a cosy atmosphere! The food was good. Especially the Orzo Chorizo Octopus. The presentation was nice and portion is really fair. The service was also attentive to details and caring. We will definitely come back.

I can’t talk enough about this place. I visited vino cultura over 5 times and I was never disappointed. The service is always excellent and the staff very helpful. There is a wide selection of wines which you can pare with a variety of unique and well structured dishes with top quality ingredients. Tuna tataki: I am not a big fan of raw fish but I have to admit that the tuna tataki here is one of the best I had. The chicken ravioli are a must! Is one of my favorite dishes there as it is creamy, al dente and mouth watering. The crab ravioli is also great. Both raviolis are homemade and fresh. The beetroot risotto is also one of my favorites because it has a unique taste, the rice and texture are perfect and is not something you find in most restaurants. Seafood risotto is also a must if you like seafood. The chicken tacos are the best chicken tacos I had, perfectly crispy and full of flavor. Even the tortilla is homemade soft and fresh. The cod inside the bao buns is panned and fried to perfection and it melts in the mouth and the bao buns are super soft and addictive. The fried calamari is seasoned to perfection and is a great alternative if you don’t eat meet The hallumi croquettes and the mushroom arancini are very tasty, perfectly fried and perfect to open up your appetite. Also don’t skip the pizzas which are a great choice if you prefer something simple but still tasty. Only downside in my opinion is that the prices are a bit higher than most places that have a similar concept. I am definitely visiting again to try more dishes!

Our first dinner after arriving in Nicosia from the US. It was a welcomed experience for tired travelers - the people, food, wine and service were lovely. We hope to visit again before departing Cyprus.

Has a great atmosphere with great music to relax and talk with others without needing to raise your voice. Food is excellently cooked and has a fair variety to choose from.You can order almost any drink to your liking. Staff is always present to serve you. Prices are reasonable!

We visited Friday night without reservation and it was full. But the gentleman in the door foind us sits in the bar. We had the Dirty Diana cocktail and it was perfect (Rum). For food we order from tje cold tapas section prawn taco, from the hot tapas fried calamari and a pizza. Everything was great. Delicious and fresh!

It’s the most chill and colorful cafe in old town. Always filled with people enjoying their coffee or beer and having fun. I visit almost every couple of days because of the Christmas vibes, the coffee is good and not expensive

Good breakfast at this place, however the waiting time was very long, we spent too much time waiting for the food. I really liked the atmosphere, it was quite comfortable and cozy in the inner space.

I’ve been to this café more than four times in the past two weeks, and the atmosphere is always amazing. The staff are super friendly, and the manager is really kind as well. We even organized a birthday party for a friend with over 20 people, and everything went perfectly. This time, I had a Piña Colada and my friend ordered a Sex on the Beach – both were great! Looks and seems very nice but be aware that there is smoking inside! Quite an off-putting contrast to the cute decor and colourful, comfortable setting. They might regard it as ‘outside’ but it is inside. Staff are wonderful. There is complimentary water which is a great welcoming gesture. The food is cheap while the drinks are not particularly. It’s likely to be the cosiest and quaintest cafe on the whole street.

This is a really cute place to hang out, the coffee (Americano) is good, but quite expensive compared to other items on the menu. I also had a slice of tiramisu which was huge and delicious 😋 The free water is a nice idea. One thing that let this place down was the service. It wasn't awful, and I'm not sure if the waitress was struggling with English, but she seemed like she was bothered by being there.

I was walking down the street and heard from a woman sitting in this cafe “this is the best cheesecake I’ve had in a while” so I decided to try it no matter what. The lemon cheesecake was heaven, not too sweet, not too fat, just perfect. Going together with lemonade 👌🏻❤️ However there were lack of staff, despite it was Sunday evening, they had only 2 waiters that just didn’t pay attention to customers at all.

A seafood feast in the heart of Nicosia – June 2023 During our stay in Nicosia (Lefkoşa) in June 2023, we dined at a wonderful restaurant located near the historic Selimiye Mosque. We enjoyed our meal in a spacious, flower-filled garden that created a truly relaxing atmosphere. The menu was simply outstanding. We tried the traditional Portuguese grilled shrimp and calamari skewers (menu item #74), served with salad and potatoes. Another highlight was the “Sabor” — six pieces of shrimp sautéed in garlic and white wine, accompanied by potatoes and salad (menu item #72). The presentation was beautiful, and these two seafood dishes were by far my favorites during the entire stay on the island. For dessert, we savored a Cypriot specialty, a type of bread pudding with a creamy cheese filling, paired with complimentary coffees that perfectly rounded off this exquisite dinner.

Good restaurant, but noodles and salads are not rich in flavour and dressing. The quality of the vegetables is very good. Coffees are also very good. Service is friendly and fast. Due to many diners at lunch time, the floors were dirty (not a staff fault). Toilets not clean.

Good value of money Italian and Spanish restaurant with intrusive cats N35°10.606' E33°21.904' Sabor or El Sabor Latino is a locally popular restaurant serving Italian and Spanish cuisine next to the Selimiye Mosque or Selimiye Camii, historically known as Cathedral of Saint Sophia or Ayasofya Mosque in the Turkish-Cypriot part of Nicosia. It offers seating inside, on the covered and heated terrace and on Selimiye square. If you had enough of kebabs, it offers tapas, pasta, chicken, meat dishes and surprisingly Asian noodles, but no pizzas. In November 2021, we ordered Parmiggiano salad with mixed greens, arugula, shaved Parmesan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes (tl 39), vegan spaghetti with onions, fresh tomatoes, capers and kidney beans (₺ 40) and linguine sabor with fried prawns, calamari and tomato sauce (₺ 82). The kitchen cooked quickly and soon large bowls of steamy Italian pasta were on our table. The pasta dishes were well-prepared, tasty and nutritious. The Italians do much better when it comes to taste, but these dishes were nothing to be ashamed. The same goes for the white Pasqua Pinot Grigio (₺ 135) Italian wine. Good, but nothing to be remembered. However, our culinary hearts were racing at the desserts: Incirli pasta (₺ 25) and mosaic chocolate cake (₺ 25). Much more locally infused baking produced light figs and chocolate cake, accompanied by a well-brewed cappuccino. Very good ending to a good local dinner. Service was friendly in English with an English menu. Beware of the resident cat population: this free-spirited army of cats has overstepped the line of begging, jumping on chairs and tables to demand food while you are eating. They know every trick in the book. One trick El Sabor knows is to offer payment in euros at unfavourable rates: pay in Turkish lira. The food of El Sabor cannot be compared to original Italian or Spanish food, but they do a good job in a nice atmosphere with friendly and quick service. Recommended.

One of my favorite places for breakfast. Usually I get omelette with all ingredients I want and enjoy it. There are good selection of different bowls that I like to have for breakfast. Usually I take yogurt & granola. Tasty selection ) I like good coffee (who doesn’t?) and here you can find really nice and reach taste coffee. Not in all places the quality of coffee is so high. 👍 And of course breads and pastries. My favorite- almond croissant 🥐 Huge municipality parking right near to it and many other shops and restaurants if you like to continue somewhere else.

Paul offers a charming and relaxed setting, perfect for a quiet coffee break or light meal. We went with the traditional Cypriot coffee—rich, aromatic, and a true local favourite. Alongside that, we had the poached egg on avocado toast and the quiche Lorraine, both of which were absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection with just the right balance of flavour, they made for a satisfying and well-rounded meal. A great spot to enjoy quality food with a touch of local tradition.

Delicious breakfasts, but not very cheap. We went in for breakfast, as we have been wanting to try this cafe for a long time. The coffee is not bad, but nothing special. The children liked the chocolate and pancakes with bananas and caramel. A brioche booth with eggs Benedict and salmon for 4 points out of 5 - very little galonnaise sauce and too sweet bun. Breakfast was brought in about 10 minutes. We spent the same amount of time on the bill : (PS: Takeaway sandwiches are cheaper than if you order them in a cafe.

The bread and sandwiches were really delicious, and the croissant was soft and fluffy. However, I wasn’t a fan of the pancakes — I’d recommend going for a dish with eggs instead. While the breakfast menu is fantastic, the main menu didn’t stand out as much. If you’re deciding between this location and the Paul at the Mall of Cyprus, I’d recommend Zenas Kanther for a better experience.

He kept come to me and ask if I need anything which was very nice of him. It is very peaceful place and I always come here !! I ordered salmon salad and was yummy!!!! Even the sides feel more vibrant and well-balanced, showing that every detail is being cared for. Service is still as warm and attentive as ever, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. It’s rare to see a restaurant that’s already good put in the work to become outstanding, but Paul’s has done exactly that. A must-visit for both loyal regulars and newcomers!

We had a very disappointing experience at Patio Cocktail Bar. Our group of 14 girls spent around €400, and when we politely asked for just 5 shots on the house, the so-called “manager” rudely replied: “Why should we give you anything? You only did the minimum consumption.” This is completely unprofessional and shows a lack of respect towards paying customers. The platters were overpriced and not worth the money. The atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable with the heat — only two air coolers at the entrance and three fans for the entire place, which made it unbearable. Hospitality is about creating a good experience, not making guests feel unwelcome or like they are a burden. With such a poor overall bad management, this was definitely the last time we visited this venue. There are plenty of other bars in Nicosia that actually appreciate their customers — unfortunately, Patio is not one of them!!!

Everything was fine, the thing we did not like very much was the minimum charge per person of 25 euro. However, you are allowed to eat and drink anything you want from the menu so this is fine. The atmosphere was a bit too relaxed than what we expected. Overall, it was very nice and the staff very kind.

Wonderful event with the guest percussionist Albert Boyadjian and DJ from Lebanon!!! We danced all night, the music and the atmosphere were just fantastic, really can't wait for the next one!!!!! The food was delicious, despite the fact that they didn't had lot of options for vegetarians/vegans. The menu was a little bit strange, gurme style but with normal size portions! At the end I eat very tasty salmon with rice. The drinks/cocktails also were nice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Tocayo is one of the best Asian spots in Nicosia, it’s on the pricier side but worth it. We loved everything we ordered, but surprisingly my favorite was the buttered corn. I recommend getting the skirt steak, corn, seared tuna, crab bao, and salmon nori. The only downside is the seating, the space was narrow and we could barely move.

Tocayo is quite possibly the best restaurant in Nicosia. Every dish is a trip to an uncharted island. You really don’t know what to expect… well, you can expect it to taste delicious. Every ingredient dances with the rest in a tango of flavour that is elegant and graceful. It’s a place I’ll keep coming back until I try the entire menu. And then I’ll wish to forget it so I can do it all over again.

I visited Tocayo in Nicosia for the first time last night and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! The food was amazing, and the concept of ordering 4–6 plates to share makes the whole evening fun and social. You must try the beef carpaccio – it was outstanding! Prices are very fair for the quality. The only small letdown was the truffle potatoes, which turned out to be fries – not quite what we expected. But overall, the experience was fantastic, and I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

Last night, my partner and I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Tocayo in Nicosia, easily one of the best we've had in Cyprus! We shared five dishes: 1) Asian Green Salad Very fresh, beautifully matched greens with a light sesame oil dressing. A lovely fusion dish and a perfect starter. I wouldn’t change anything about the flavor. My only small comment: the cucumber slices, with their seeds removed, although I understand the reason for this, looked a bit odd visually (almost like they were bitten off), but that might just be me! 2) Beef Tartare My first time trying beef tartare, and it ended up being the best dish of the night! Absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced, and the main reason I can't wait to dine at Tocayo again. The only slight imperfection was that the end of both cones I had, broke off in my hands (and my partner's too), but it’s a tiny issue in an otherwise flawless dish. 3) Vegan Taquitos A very close second favorite after the tartare. They captured an authentic Mexican flavor with the perfect balance of taco, chili, vegetables, and sauce. Absolutely faultless, I could happily have this dish again and again. 4) Arrocito A Peruvian-style fried rice that was very flavorful and enjoyable. It wasn’t a standout compared to the others, but it was still very well-executed. 5) Dumplings Filled with prawns and served with a delicious creamy sauce. Tasty for sure, though personally, I wouldn't order them again, simply because the other dishes were so outstanding in comparison. The staff were very friendly and professional, and we really appreciated that a different waiter brought out each dish, a nice touch. The atmosphere and music were also spot-on, creating a relaxed yet vibrant vibe. Prices were surprisingly low for the incredible quality of the food (though I secretly hope they don't raise them)! Tocayo is now one of our favorite restaurants in Cyprus. Highly recommended!

Bar Italia in Nicosia offers a lovely ambience with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was very good, with the highlight being their pasta—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The pizza was also satisfying, though the beef carpaccio didn’t impress us. I think the place could improve a bit on their cocktails, as they didn’t quite meet expectations. However, the tiramisu was exceptional and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a great spot for Italian cuisine with a few areas for improvement.

The crew is helpful, and the chicken and pork belly dishes are delicious. The pasta is quite good as well.

We had an amazing experience at this fabulous Italian restaurant in the heart of Nicosia. It.was worth driving all the way from Limassol. The best part was the tasty and delicious food and the stuff that made you feel like home. Very lovely and friendly people. The restaurant itself had a class and the atmosphere was very warm and cozy. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to my close friends.

We weren’t particularly hungry, but decided to have a bite to eat before hitting the road. Coming from the Northern Cyprus side of Nicosia, we stumbled upon this place and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The food was absolutely delicious—the crispy sandwich and the falafel were both full of flavor and perfectly prepared. We only had to wait a short while, and it was definitely worth it. A lovely spot with great food that made for a perfect stop on our way.

Dry shawarma, tasteless, took a TA box and couldn't eat it. Feels like cheap meat. The server was very "dry" as well, didn't listen to my requests, and just sent me away with one of the worst shawarmas I've ever eaten. Probably won't eat there again.

I don't eat fries or bread and it was no problem to prepare meat and salad for us. I took lamb and my sis took chicken. Portions were quite big. The only thing I was missing was olive oil on the table. I highly recommend this place. Also fresh pressed orange juice is great.

Best lamb i ever had, and it's not even close to the second best. It was awesome so tender and tasty. Perfect marinated and well balanced with fat to elevated the taste. It was so tasty half just disappeared before i remembered to take a picture(Lamb kebab). The fried chicken was also great some what different seasoning but still one of the better I ever had. I bet u can't find better kebab/shawarma. In the city. I will definitely come back here to eat.

I have heard great things about this place and it did not disappoint. Service was with a smile and very welcoming. Food was quick to come out and it was delicious. The peshwari naan is now a family favourite. For a family of three, three mains, shared rice, two starters and naan each, the cost was worth it. I would definitely recommend this place. Parking is available directly opposite the main entrance on the other side of the road.

We have tried twice the butternut chicken with rice and garlic naan which was very tasty. Delivery is very slow though. Last time we ordered it took about an hour and a half for the food to be delivered.

What a pleasant surprise it was to find Tonantzin really close to our home. Just off of Ledra Street, the sign isn't immediately visible but a sign board showed us the way to some delicious cocktails, extra special tacos and home made tortilla chips. The Guacamole was delicious as was the salsa! I very rarely order dessert but on this occasion I made an exception to see if the dessert was as good as the food - and it was! The owner and chef has done an excellent job with the menu and the vibe. I cannot finish this review without adding that the tequila shot we had to end the night was pleasantly smooth! This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me. Can't wait to take my friends and family!

Underwhelming portions, with very little amounts of meat in each item, which is not acceptable for the prices we paid. Tacos where tiny, underseasoned and almost empty inside (9 euros). Burritos were filled with rice and salad and a few traces of meat. French fries and salsas where great at the least.Service was okay, but really dissapointed from the place, especially reading the previous reviews.

What a fabulous authentic Mexican restaurant. The staff team are superb and the owner takes immense pleasure and pride in the food that is prepared and served to her customers. The food options are extensive and there is plenty of options for vegetarians. The prices compare favourably with other restaurants in the area, but the friendly and helpful staff make it a real winner. I would recommend booking before hand. The venue is small and cosy and makes for a wonderful atmosphere.

I had a delicious freshly made burrito, a glass of tasty lokal red wine and an exciting view on interesting lovely young people in the bar on the other side of the road. Latin music from the stereo is not as loud as it sometimes is in mexican restaurants, so you can have a relaxed conversation. Cristina is a very nice host who helps with any question about your stay in Cyprus. I enjoyed my meal so much!

My favourite restaurant in the entire world. The food is so fresh and isn’t oily so it doesn’t bloat you or make your stomach hurt. Also the vibes are really good, you feel like you are at home, at abuelita’s place. Also the owner Ms. Christina is so kind and talk with the customers and makes jokes.

Had a yummy brunch at Nom, and while the ingredients were simple, the sauce tied everything together beautifully, really elevating the flavors. The space is spacious, clean, and has a high-vibe atmosphere that makes dining here a pleasure. The staff is super friendly, and the service is relatively quick. We had to wait at least 15 minutes to get the bill after we asked for it. Also appreciated that they had gluten-free bread, which was a considerate touch.

The food and place were OK. There is a decent dining area but the lighting needs to be enhanced in some way cause it is a bit dim. The butter chicken tasted very sweet which I did not like. BrewFellas is the one of most famous and interesting pubs in Nicosia. Pus is located in the center of the city and can offer you 10 taps of craft beers from local and European craft breweries, more than thirty beers in cans, and some count of strong alcohol. There aren't food in the pub, only some beer snacks. Also, you can order food from other venues. The pub has a small hall for ten people, a bar counter, and five or six tables on the street. If you are a beer lover, I really recommend you visit this venue.

The food was really tasty!! We went there on 26/12/2022. We were 10 people (9 adults and 1 kid) we ordered maze for the adults and a stake for the kid. The salads were altered due to the Christmas and it was a really nice addition. The only thing that we disliked it was that they charged us extra for the desserts. When you order maze it should include starters, main dishes and desserts, that's the whole point of meze to get a full experience. Although I am leaving 4 stars because the owner was really nice and the food totally worth a try.

I really like the cosy atmosphere in the house with a fireplace, pleasant unobtrusive music and traditional food. I especially like the light vegetable soup, moderately spicy basturma, stunning soft fried cheese and the most delicious lemon cake with an extraordinary cream according to an old family recipe. I would also like to note the cleanliness of the dishes, one-time menus are not soiled with anyone as in some other establishments, it is important for me. The tavern is a little hidden from the eyes, I found it by chance and I'm very happy to have dinner once or twice a week

Before you send your delivery boys out, make sure they have the correct directions and also be 100% sure they know where to go. It was not on time and I had to explain myself more than once where the place is. This is unacceptable. I don't have this problem with other cafe places. So, now, my hot coffee is cold. Also, there was no straws or tissue in the bag.

Perfect for a breakfast in Nicosia ! Quiet place before 9am. Orange juice was excellent, croissant not made with butter but margarine. You can meet old Cypriot over there, they loved to talk to tourists. Some cats around playing. Life is beautiful ! Besos

Lovely cafe with friendly staff and good opening hours. Enjoyed a strong flat white coffee and cheese pie. Lots of sweet and savoury pastries to choose from.

First off all I want to speak about the owner. Very helpful and ready to explain everything and help me on my first visit. I asked him to recommend me what to try. It was a great choice. Everything fresh and homemade. A bit oily for my taste but I assume that's the traditional way:) I will definitely come back for more! Keep up the good work. Finally someone who really loves and understands what true food really is!

We have enjoyed our first time: the variety of schiacciata to choose from with fresh ingredients. The service is nice and friendly. The schiacciata is a light type of bread and we loved the crispy touch. The bolognese was our favourite.

Without a doubt the best sandwich I have ever tried, and that's only the first one I picked. The staff were lovely and incredibly kind. Certainly not the last time I'll be here.

IMPASTO IS A 10/10 My Italian best friend and I come here atleast once a month or whenever we’re together and we love it. We’ve tried all the fan favorites such as “ La Golosa” “La Fiorentina” “ La Caprese” and wayyy more, and it always Hits the spot!!!! I would recommend this 10 times out of 10!

It wasn’t the good experience I expected in this part of world ( the hospitable people ) the woman was so grumpy and rude! I was eager to try something on the north side after reading the good reviews! In the end I didn’t buy anything ! Plenty good bakeries rounded here! Don’t need go there!

I walked over an hour every morning just to get their sesame bread. It pains me that I will likely never taste something so good ever again.

My Cypriot friends brought us to this bakery. They know the owner and his family for a long long time. The traditional pide, various styles, are so good and fresh. The owner is very friendly and you can see all his family pictures hanging in the store.

Bereket is one of the most traditional street food place in North Nicosia. You can eat traditional Cypriot bakery products. Especially Hellimli, Zeytinli and Tahınlı are the locals favourite. You should try it.

Great friendly place for inexpensive Pide and Lahmacun. You order at the counter and wait until your Pide is freshly made in the big wood fired oven. There are some tables in the middle of the square where you can sit and enjoy your quick lunch. All their pide and lahmacun are very tasty. We enjoyed our lunch break at this place very much.

We had our InterNations evening in this location. We had a big platter of various and delicious african dishes. The staff was very friendly and engaged. I can warmly advise this restaurant.

Lost and found is a staple in Nicosia for good drinks and nice atmosphere. I visited Lost and found a couple of times and it is one of my favorite bars The drink, cocktail and non alcoholic drinks choices are numerous, suitable for every taste. Only complain is that that the Coca Cola was €4 which is too expensive. The service is excellent! All the staff are friendly, attentive and very well trained contributing to the chill and nice vibe of the place. Furthermore, the menu offers some food choices as well. It is casual finger food, tasty and simple. We had the pizza margarita and the Korean fried chicken, both really good. I definitely recommend this place for a chill night out with friends!

Drinks superb, you can taste that this bar is passionate for their drinks. We were there early evening and sat inside, was a bit cool, seating not very comfortable - inside it's rather for standing than sitting 🙂. Ordering and paying all online ... I can see the advantage when the bar is packed, but it reduces the contact with staff to mere "delivery service" which is a pity. Still, we'll be back!

Visited this establishment during their Bowls of Japan (Ramen night) event so the rating(s) will reflect that. All the ingredients that made up our bowls were fresh and expertly prepared to deliver maximum flavour and the staff made sure that everything was served to our liking. Definitely a worthy addition to the Clean Plate (Bowl?) Club 🍜

It isn't a coincidence that Lost+Found Drinkery is one of the best bars in the world. Certainly lived up to the hype - will be back soon!

It's a very cool bar, but we couldn't find it the first time. There was no sign, and Google pointed to a nearby building where everything was closed. The bar was included in the Top 50 best bars in the world according to the "50 Best" version. The cocktail list is impressive, the bartender is sociable and does not mind advising a cocktail to suit your mood. We only drank cocktails, but the food on the menu offers no less interesting dishes.

Drinks tastes like they had a fight with a pesto sauce. Basil's oils are super aromatic and savory great for pasta, terrible in sweet drinks. Basil herbal flavor clashes hard with lime and sugar.

Really cozy café - bar in the centre of Nicosia. You can seat inside and outside. Aesthetic is so cute. You could choose your beverage or cocktail. Nowadays, due to Christmas season they offer Glühwein, which is really good and aromatic. Apart from that, they have small and big platters (we chose small one) with variety of fruits, chocolate, nuts, cheeses. Prices are normal. I definitely recommend it.

Swimming Birds is a little gem in downtown Nicosia. It’s a small, cozy bar with a laid-back vibe, great music, and a genuinely friendly atmosphere. The staff are always welcoming and the crowd is cool—creative, chill, and down-to-earth. It’s also dog-friendly, which is a big plus. Perfect spot for a relaxed drink, whether you’re flying solo or out with friends.

The place itself is beautiful with a great taste in design. I ordered espresso and the flavor was really bad and bitter. I couldn’t drink it. I told the barista lady and was surprised how much she didn’t care at all ! You could expect a little more customer service and understanding.

Silver Star Bar is a fantastic spot for wine lovers. The selection of wines is excellent, with most, if not all, being dry—perfect for those who enjoy that style. The knowledgeable team adds so much to the experience, and I really appreciate how they take the time to explain the wines and even let you try before you order—it’s a thoughtful touch that sets them apart. That said, adding a bit more diversity to the wine list with some sweeter or more varied options would be a welcome improvement. The only other drawback is the seating, which could definitely be more comfortable. Despite this, the quality of the wines and the exceptional service always make it worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Went here on a family trip. Cocktails were exceptional. I had the amaretto sour and the spicy margarita. Both were perfect. Ambiance and music were great. We were very happy.

I came here to try their wines, which were very good, but unfortunately a very limited selection. The service was professional at first, but eventually turned out to be negligent.

Good vibes, chill 🌶 place to relax in Nicosia 🏙 for weekdays with your friends. There is plenty of space outside and opposite of the place in order to feel more comfortable with any case of covid 😷 measures. Friendly staff 🙂, good variety of drinks 🍸 but there are some things that can be improved such as: - you need to offer pint beer not just half pint with the excuse that you do not have pint glasses 🍺 - half pint 🍻 is 5,00 Euro’s bit pricy 😉 - cocktail menu 🍸 can be improved, also I would suggest to have more variety of Cypriot 🇨🇾 wines 🍷 - cocktail presentation can be improved 🤔 for example Hugo cocktail was awesome but it could be easily served in a high rounded glass 🍹 - faster service especially for the customers outside of the place, you can put in every table ordering system 🏃‍♂️

When i arrived the bar they told me we dont have any place for you the PR person. And than when i sat on the bar first question i asked can i smoke here they told me yesssss. And the barmen bring me ashtray and than the PR person come and told me please push it back your cigarettes because you can't smoke here, they are not showing respect to you and they just want to grab your money i think. That's my idea if you want you can go there and actually you shouldn't go there...ı don't want to pass it before i tell the bar atmosphere is good. And Manager is really helpfull person same like a barmen.

The attention to detail along with quality ingredients makes this place stand out and why we visit so often. The ‘gourmet’ evenings are worth making a special effort to get too. It’s great for quick stop after work but equally enjoyable as the venue for the weekend .

The quality of the food has significantly declined, which is especially disappointing given the price increase. Even the pasta sauce is noticeably more watery. I highly recommend ordering from somewhere else.

i found hair in my food! i put the pasta in another plate had many bites at one point found hair not a single but many together!!!!! Will not be ordering from this place again. Im still waiting for a response btw.

The delivery guy came without change and wanna take from my hand the money to go to the kiosk and when I didint accepted this he told me you will eat tomorrow and left. After the shop cancelled my order with the reason that he( delivery guy) didint found me. What we understand? Zero organisation and one employer that he is working there feel that he can play with our minds when you want to eat. Everytime the same but this was unbelievable, everything for the tips. If I want I will give you ok? Is not yours the money you working there and the shop didint anything!

The pasta was delicious. The “one with the steak” came cold but the other one was amazing. Cheap food with nice flavor.

Personally, i adore this shop. Always helpful, variety of pastas ,in person and by delivery ALWAYS the same quality, taste and portion size. Ive been ordering the 4 cheesy pasta nonstop for my cheat meals, and never once it wasnt amazing. I dont know who the mastermind behind all your tasteful pasta’s is but thank god u opened a shop in aglantzia. Maybe the only place in Nicosia where u can find such affordable food for such taste. Absolutely amazing!

We had Giaponeze and Spinach Carbonara 👌🏻 the best place to eat authentic, traditional pasta 🍝.

On arrival the staff found us a new table and set it up by the door, not sure why as it wasn't busy, but it worked... we ordered and the service was good, the food was excellent. It was quiet in the restaurant so difficult to comment on the atmosphere, but it was clean and the food excellent!

We had a very enjoyable night as we declded to try here at late hours. We preferred the fix menu option, price was reasonable and food was very tasty.

I would have rated this great looking and perfectly located place 5 stars, if it were not for: 1* - 12.45 and they’re already out of octopuss/sqid (but they still serve breakfast); 1* - the club sandwitch looks amazing but it’s ridiculously overpriced, lukewarm and sickly greasy; 1* - Caesar salad made entirely with bitter iceberg salad leaves, dressed with a fatty mayo clone, totally lacking any balance in taste. Other than that, the place has potential.

in march 2019 i wrote this: amazing taste across many of its dishes. quality and good prices. hope they can keep it up in may 2019 i can say THEY DID NOT! Pork chop was 50% fat and fried (!) they claimed it was not. the order came 30 mins later afterwards and ordering and i was so hungry that i simply eat the DISGUSTING thing i was served. my stomach was upset all night. the worst part is that when i complained they ridiculously thought i was doing it to get free desert. i denied. however they arrogantly prepared to serve desert as if this would compensate the DISGUSTING taste of the dinosaur they named pork chop. i paid and left. they have no hope. JUST AVOID!

The best pizza and burgers in Nicosia. A true and hidden jewel in down town Nicosia. Everything is carefully made. Cozy, stylish and very elegant place. Highly recommended and safe choice

NOT RECOMMENDED! I ordered the Pork Chop that i had recommendation for. When it came, it was full of fat and it looked very disgusting. When I approached the waiter to complain about it he was thinking that i am joking and he called the chef as well to tell my problem. After mentioning the issue to the chef as well all he had to say was "okay". Very unprofessional and shameful. Just avoid this place.
