What an amazing restaurant! The food is outstanding! The portions are generous and so full of flavor. The service was top notch! They took care of us and were quite helpful and patient with us as we tried to order from their Italian menu. We dined Al fresco and it was just wonderful. Fine dining at affordable prices. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Vicenza.

Food was absolutely amazing, and going in the summertime to enjoy the outdoors was priceless. The location is ideally set right in the center of town where you can walk around and see the sights. Go in the winter time and enjoy the Christmas markets at the door step.

As we were looking for a place to have dinner, we came across Angolo Palladio which is almost at the foot of Basilica Palladiana. The restaurant was full of dining people but the extremely friendly staff fixed us a table anyway. The food and dessert were delicious, and the service great. We had the gnocchi with black truffle which is something to die for. If you ever visit Vicenza craving for a nice experience, you should really try the Angolo Palladio. I'm planning to revisit this place, for sure.

Great restaurant setting outside. Portions are a good size; we all ordered pasta and it was a great bite. Big fan of the biggoli. I would recommend calling ahead of time and reserving a table for sure OR be there at 7pm sharp when it opens. Tables fill up quickly. Prices are fair and we will be back.

Great food, fast and attentive waitresses, and an amazing atmosphere and view. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 deserving stars is because I found it overpriced (over $60 EUR) considering how it compares to other restaurants in similar locations in Vicenza.

This is a lovely restaurant. We went for dinner and had a wonderful time. I enjoyed a glass of red wine paired with a beef dish, which was absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a great vibe, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We visited for dinner. Location is wonderful. Ambience speaks abou Jazz in every detail. Food menu has something different every day. Good selection of wines. And the menu reserves for you a "wow effect" when they put it in front of you. I will not spoil it here, just saying that it is in line with the Jazz mood of the place. Price may be on the higher side but considering the location it is not so high.

Borsa is an amazing spot for breakfast! The destination is beautiful and the music is good. I had their california bagel with eggs and it was the best one I have had in this whole area. Their juices are also absolutely incredible! The bartender is always on her game! I will be back for their live music at night to see how fun it is!

A usual stop in Vicenza, expecially during the cold evening, craving for fancy happy hours. This nice bar with jazzy vibes (there in also a piano and some other instruments for live music) is right under the Basilica Palladiana, preserving the ancient ceiling and walls. We tried to go for brunch and that has been definitely a good idea. We tried pancakes, brownies and yogurt. Recommended also for the atmosphere.

Delicious cocktail. Felt like we were in some apothecary’s lair. The depth of flavors in our drinks was great! Chill atmosphere too.

The food itself was amazing! So tasty but well proportioned ingredients wise. Not too heavy or salty. Very reasonable prices too. The issue is the chaotic ordering process. You have no trays so you have to carry your food in multiple trips unless you have the arms of a Hindu god. You also don’t pay when you get the food so you have to remember what you ordered. There is also no clear line to get the food so this creates a mad dash at the food area. It’s stressful and unpleasant to get the food. I had the asparagus lasagna and it was some of the best food I’ve had in Vicenza( I just wish it was more relaxing to order.

Great place and unique experience. Cool place to go and easy 5 stars if you know what to expect. It is all self service but great quality of food. Wine, beer, coke and water on self serve tap with different sizes. Simply tell the man at the till what you ate or show a picture. All based on the honour system. Great lunch spot with tons of locals and a good buzz. Big recommend.

This is a place for locals. The food feels like homemade, the staff don’t speak very good English but are happy to help and figure out what you need/want. Very cute and quaint interior. Tiramisu and most desserts are really good. Beware of the Italian squatty potty (¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

The best place for lunch in the city center. The dishes are delicious and quite cheap, especially considering the location and the historic building. Also, everyday there is a different menu. There is almost no waiting time as everything is already cooked. Definitely recommended!

The food was fine after waiting 30 minutes to eat it. The service and organization are absolutely terrible. Had to remove the dessert from the bill since we waited 20 min for it and we had to leave without trying it.

The food was nice but we had to wait 30-40 minutes to receive it. They charge for the service but the service was as bad as waiting 20 minutes for the ice cream that was sitting at the station to be picked up by the servers and brought to us, at the end we didn't even get to eat it cause we had to leave.

Fantastic place 😀 I went for lunch at 12.15 and it was already lively. The Spaghetti alle Vongole was the best I've had and I really enjoyed sampling the Polenta e Baccalà alla Vicentina, with more than one glass of Pinot Nero (Tenutefosca). All excellent fare. Highly enjoyable experience all round.

The food is functional, the bread unremarkable and the desert forgettable. The pasta with anchovy sauce was cooked to perfection. The antipasti of meat was nothing to write home about and the cheesecake was just fine. Try other things on the menu. Their speciality seems to be meat, which we didn’t have but looked good.

I had the mushroom lasagna and my wife had the goulash with polenta. Both meals were near perfect. Flavorful and served steaming hot. Service was exceptional. Will most certainly be returning.

Do not even try… Naively attracted by the sign outside the door: “Osteria Il Cursore. Locale Storico” (boasting an historical heritage) I sat at a table. This place was so slow and chaotic that I had enough time to notice not only how dated and even abandoned this place is, but how dirty it is kept, clearly without any regard to hygiene and sanitation. Finally, it seemed that I caught the attention of a woman that resembled a waitress. She told me she would “eventually” be back. I never saw her again. In the meantime, I asked a man resembling a manager/owner to turn the A/C on since outside was about 35-37Cº (95-98+Fº) and inside the Osteria was an oven. He barked back to me that since the main door was open there was no need for that. Then I noticed the rough crowd in the Osteria. Very, very blue-collar locals that I am sure that, for generations, they have not known any better, and also the peculiar characters hovering around in and out the place (beggars and the like). Suddenly, I realized I should not be there.That was it. I cannot imagine what kind of food comes out of their kitchen while I am bearing a steaming room. I had had enough of this place and so I left. Do not even visit the area where this Osteria is located. You will be in a dangerous slum of Vicenza

Very central location in Vicenza. Food is good but not extraordinary. Long service - took us nearly 2 hours to dine. I haven’t had the chance to try many restaurants in Vicenza but compared to the standard in Veneto this is just above the average. Worth a try if you are not sure where to go

We have been on a Monday evening to Al Pestello. We were two people. We ordered a starter, two main courses of pasta and two main courses of meat. It's hard to explain how good the food was. Everything is fully prepared by the Chef with a love for her job. The owners follow their own wonderful ethic on having only fully bio organic ingredients, farm to table. I really suggest a stop for a wonderful meal. I think it's worth mentioning that service can be a little bit slow, that was not a problem for us, but if you're in a hurry, I would suggest to come when you can fully experience your dinner.

I tried the bigolo alla parmigiana, the flavors were excellent and it was not something I've had elsewhere with the addition of the smoky cheese. The restaurant boasts local and organic ingredients in all their dishes, and the meal includes bread made in house by the chef. If you are looking for an upscale menu and dining, this is worth a visit.

My favorite place in Vicenza! Great local cuisine with great staff! The owner Riccardo will gladly help you with the seasonal manu and with the wine list. My favorite dish is their duck ragù (ragù d'anatra) and their polenta dishes.

Fantastic experience. Delicious meal and quick service. Great place for groups also. We were a group of 4 but they also have long tables. I love the lighting at each individual table. everything from appetizers to first and second courses and dessert were fantastic. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Delicious food, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is separated into different sections by large arching doorways. The lighting is kept dim, and the sleek long lights hanging from the ceiling all the way down over each dining table, light the tables beautifully whilst simultaneously creating a cozy atmosphere. The first culinary highlight was the delicious bread: served warm with a crunchy crust and a soft, chewy interior! The roasted pumpkin on Jerusalem artichoke purée topped with pan seared mushrooms and a duo of sauces (raspberry and mango) was a melody of flavors ranging from sweet to salty to tangy. At ~19€ for a main dish, a bottle of sparkling water and fresh bread, the prices-quality ratio is very fair. Recommendable!

We went as a large group and more showed up then we made reservations for. They were very accommodating in getting us all seated together. We all sampled each other's meals and out of the several different meals that I sampled, they were all amazing. I wish I would have taken more photos up the meals and presentation.

This restaurant in Vicenza really impressed us. We definitely had the best dish and possibly best meal in our 10 day tour of North East Italy. The must have dishes are: Coda di Rospo (Monkfish served on a squash puree) and the Tiramisu which is served as a deconstruction of the classic desert that was rumored to be invented in this town.

We love this place. My wife and I have eaten here over a number of years and the food and staff are just as wonderful now as they were over two years ago. It's in a small lane off of the main square near the Palladio basilica and has great outdoor seating ad well as the interior. Food is simple, but always great. It is well priced with a great selection of regional wines. Highly recommended!

A charming eatery specializing in authentic regional Veneto cuisine. Highlights from the menu include the flavorful Tartare di Spada, the rich Bigoli in salsa with its delectable anchovy and onion sauce, and the tender Ossobuco di vitello, which is a must-try. During our visit, only one waitress was on duty, which led us to forgo dessert as we needed to leave. Despite this, the dining experience was delightful, showcasing the best of local flavors.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch, and even though we weren’t too hungry, the food completely blew us away. I ordered the suckling pig ribs, and they were honestly some of the best ribs I’ve ever had—so tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My girlfriend had the bigoli pasta with duck ragu, and it was just as incredible. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the ragu was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite felt special. This is definitely a place I’d come back to again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Today we had lunch at Veneto's restaurant. We were greeted nicely at the entrance and escorted to the table. The food selection is local and just right. Everything we ordered was good, and the service was very friendly.

The sauce was once again good but it did not go well with the liver for my taste bud. Or maybe liver is not my thing. LOCATION: Fantastic location. Beautiful area, beautiful building, and plenty of parking. PRICE: Above average. SERVICE: excellent service and friendly staff. OVERALL: I would definitely comeback and try different dishes.

Have to be honest the food was just ok for us. Presentation was fantastic but the few dishes we had did not have enough flavors. Just seemed quite bland and not seasoned enough for us. Had the octopus which was fantasticly presented but really thin dish had no flavor. My wife had the monk fish and it was a really strong fish. I had veal ravioli and it was overpowering and hard to eat. A bit gamy. Also had the veal second course. The veal itself was paper thin and had a layer of what seemed like a tuna spread. But then, this is just us. Lots of people like this place.

The food took an hour for each course but we were happy with each exotic dish.

As a guest from Lapland Sweden for the third time I like the place very much!! The food delicious and specially the staff recomending local products!! Looking forward comming again!

They took very good care of us. Celebrated granddaughters birthday with lights off, candle lit, singing, all patrons clapping. Also set up gondola ride birthday present. Service and staff were exemplary.

We arrived late in Vicenza and had no restaurant reservations. Found Grottino did not disappoint. Food simple but good. Great selection of drinks. Staff friendly and helpful. Building and atmosphere terrific. Service a bit slow when busy but not really a problem unless you are in a hurry.

Basically never leave bad reviews, however the service was so poor here it felt necessary to do so. We came with a large group, including many Italians, so there was no language barrier. We were constantly moved by a waitress who looked annoyed we had even showed up to the bar. We tried to book in April but they wouldn’t allow it but then asked why we hadn’t booked when we arrived. Clearly it’s a great bar, in a great location, but just some basic manners would help. Will not be returning!

Great place for happy hour Italian style. The Italians love to go hang out in their favorite local bars from about 5 - 7 pm before they head home for dinner. This is one of the best local spots to head to. The appetizers they serve are incredible - so tasty and inexpensive. They have a nice wine selection or beers, if you must. Great ambiance and fun vibe. Enjoy!

My favourite place in Vicenza! I took my friends here both days we stayed in town for lunch (aperitif). Lovely wine an spunciotti (the local tapas) were so nice and well prepared. And eventually the price of wine and food is absolutely affordable! Close to the main square it makes u feel at the core of everything.

I have been there yesterday and it is a great spot! I had the antipasti Della casa which was a large selection of local delicacies, and after that some delicious pasta. All seemed to be home made and traditional, exactly what I wanted for that night, service was also nice and it did feel very original, not “touristy”, can recommend and will come back. Oh and the prices are also affordable!!

To start with there was no menu on the tables so the waiter just read us in Italian what they have. We were surprised in the end from the prices, I mean 9€ for a plate of pasta was a bit too much for the quality and and quantity of the food that they offered us. You will definitely need a second plate if you are hungry. However it was very easy to find the place and there were available tables without a reservation. Also, the food was servered quick compared to other places that you have to wait for ages because of the high demand.

Then, the lovely selection of traditional Italian baked goods which will bring you right back to this shop! Lovely members of staffs with personal touch of wrapping your goods whether for treating yourself or try to gift for someone else! Grab some goodies from here for your lovely cup of espresso for the day! Would recommend! :)

Garibaldi. Had lunch there today, superb food , varied menu, in the best location. Great service , we did not book but they were very accommodating. And with stunning views over the square , so Italian, full of atmosphere. Can not recommend highly enough .

Visited early on a Sunday morning, was empty on arrival but soon filled up and was full by 10:30! Prices were decent, and the avocado toast was enjoyable although not particularly special! The egg was not mentioned on the menu so be aware of that. Lots of other food options and pastries by the counter! Cappucino with soy was perfect.

The restaurant is in the very center on the square, the most delicious breakfasts, the croissants are simply very tasty, we were recently in Paris and there were no such delicious ones there. We recommend the city is wonderful, every Italian city is different, but having traveled to more than 35 cities in Italy, the breakfasts here are top.

I went there for small aperitivo. We had avocado toast, bruschetta, potato croquettes, and ham crunch. The ham crunch was the highlight of the food ordered. The drinks were also good. We had an aperol spritz, hugo, and asian mule. The asian mule had matcha and I was positively surprised with this drink. I would highly recommend if you’re in the area.

All day menu and very delicious steaks. We were early for dinner which serves at 19.00 so we ordered from the all day menu from starters. Bruschetta and focaccia with burrata were amazing, would visit again just for those. Had fillet and lamp for mains which were great as well. Fillet medium was cooked nicely with flavorful seasoning. Lamp was quite big and presented like steak with lots of flavor. Some dishes were a bit small, we were pretty happy since we were quite full from the bread and appetizers already. We also noticed that dishes from other tables such as porkchop, steak, and fried fish were noticeably larger, so get those if you want something more filling. Cacio de pepe was good for me, but might be a bit too al dente for some. Deserts were also great to have, especially the cheesecake. English menu available, and all staffs speak very good english.

Girabaldi came well recommended by a co-worker. The location at the corner of the piazza was very nice for enjoying a good meal while out in the square. Outside seating was great. It did rain later and we moved inside. But the rain abated and I was able to finish my meal outside. No food service before 1900, so come later, or have drinks first and relax (I did the latter). I would recommend a reservation, but I was a party of 1 AND early, so easily seated. Cafe and beer selections were good. Table service included chips and bread with the drinks. Once dinner was available I started with the tartar, it was the usual ground beef, (enough for 2-3 to share) with several complements (diced onion, mustard, etc…). I went with the steak and potatoes for dinner, and I was not disappointed. Steak was perfectly m.rare with olive oil, salt & pepper for complements. The roasted potatoes were nicely well seasoned. So far all the flavors and portions were very good. To top it off I enjoyed the lemon mojito dessert after all the richness of the meats it was perfect. My ticket was just under $70e for more food than I could finish and very good quality/flavor. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant! As a note…it was busy so service was a little slower at the end (took me almost 20 minutes to get the check and pay). But this is Italy, take your time and don’t be in a hurry.

Had really great lunch here during my vacation in Veneto. Nice view. Competent and cheerful stuff. Every dish is served decorated. Pastry is so innovative and tasty I rarely had something comparable before. Good ice cream creations possible, e.g. you select your favorite topping. Thanks for the great day!

The lady at the theatre museum recommended this place. It’s quite charming and the service was really great. The food was also fantastic, the only thing was that if you ate in store, the prices are pretty steep. There is a 3.50 euro cover so my lasagna and four vegetable sides came to 30 euro. I think that’s overpriced for what you get. The crackers were really good though so if you’re a high roller, you’ll have a good time.

What a hidden gem! Walked past this narrow shop front and there’s a huge wine cellar where they serve beautiful salads and they have a comprehensive dinner menu too. Very happy.

Top quality place with friendly owner and staffs. Dining in the cellar downstairs was a great experience. A huge range of wines available down stairs with very good recommendations. Food was great especially the seafood pasta. You can also order food from the deli to dine downstairs as well, we chose the lamb and sausage which were amazing! English menu available. There are not that many seats so booking is advised. Highly recommended.

The fois gras dish is to die for! Served up in a little Le Creuset dish like it is a creme brulle. Wine list is extensive and has every conceivable champagne! Served a delightful little gazpacho with fish starter dish with compliments of the kitchen. Chicken breast in mustard sauce was excellent. Friendly staff. Great location. Nice background music. I'm not sure that this is typically a place to have a full sit down dinner as it seemed like a lot of other customers were just there for a drink or two. That being said, the food and wines were quite delicious, albeit with slightly small portions for the price. Try the guinea fowl whose taste and texture is reminiscent of fresh scallops. Nice spot to sit outdoors and have a view of the Basilica.

We waited 1.5 to 2 hours for the food, took them 3 reminders to bring us the coke. The fusillo was extremely salty. Seats were very uncomfortable. Go somewhere else.
