Family of 5 we really enjoyed our dinner here. We had mixed up our reservation date, but the waiter was very kind, kept an eye on us, and found us a table. Antica Bottega del Vino in Verona is absolutely worth a visit, especially for wine lovers. Their collection is immense and genuinely impressive - it's clear why this place has such a reputation. We arrived without a reservation (which I would definitely recommend securing in advance), yet they were kind enough to find us a spot. The atmosphere is historic and full of character, and the wine list alone is an experience. A wonderful stop to soak in Verona’s charm.

A true gem in the heart of Verona! The local wine selection truly is the widest and most curated in the area. You can ask the staff about anything on the menu that they know by heart and get any suggestions tailored to your tastes. Definitely recommend the Risotto all’Amarone, the Polenta as a starter and the Guancia Brasata all’Amarone!

I booked a table for me and my partner as I love wine an this place has a great history. The food was very good particularly the steak for 2, the Escargot was avarage an could of been much better for the price. Most of the Sommeliers / Waiters were very nice and helpful I would personally like to thank Matteo for all his help this evening.

Great food though a tad overpriced. Excellent selection of wine and our lady server was friendly. You must make a reservation because it’s quite small. There’s a €3 bread/cover charge which you can’t remove (common in Italy).

Absolutely amazing dinner. We had wonderful meat that previous reviews here said was raw or tough: none of it. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and wonderful. We had a 2009 bottle of amarone recommended by the very friendly sommelier. Very recommendable. The only downside were the loud and obnoxious Americans next to us, but that's nothing the restaurant can change :D we came for the wine and they more than delivered. An absolute experience with a wine bible that will blow your mind.

It took a few minutes before someone opened the door. Once inside the foyer then into the dining room, the color of the room and the thoughtful design of the table, begins your experience. This is a historic restaurant and the Chef buying it and continuing the quality of the restaurant is remarkable. There were 2 set menu choices for lunch. I should have gone with the traditional but chose the seasonal. While, interesting, perhaps I should have gone with the traditional. The wine recommendation was perfect. My only faux pas was forgetting to take the remainder half bottle with me. Would I return, yes and choose the traditional course.

We were excited with the prospect of trying the only 3* Michelin restaurant in Verona. The food was creative. We had the creative menu which showcase some of chef’s unique offering. Personally it’s not the best 3* Michelin restaurant we have tasted. It does felt a little underwhelming. Last, I would say the experience didn’t wow us. We left knowing the restaurant could do more.

My first michelin starred restaurant, and does it really live up to the hype? Yes. Everything was just perfect, I didn't know it was possible for food to taste so good. The variety of flavors and textures, all perfectly balanced and artfully presented. An amazing experience that is absolutely worth the trip.

I’m not sure I will ever experience a better tasting menu. We planned our Italy trip around this restaurant, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. We walked away completely full. With a range of options for the tasting menu, from adventurous experimental dishes to classics, it delivers exactly what you’re looking for. We loved every course of the experimental menu, and the dessert was truly otherworldly.

Verona by night is amazing. Walking to the 12 Apostoli restaurant is already part of the pleasant experience. We really enjoyed “Io and Silvia” menù proposal. The Team was just great, you could feel they are all motivated and full of positive energy. Chef Perbellini is doing an incredibile research in making sure every detail is part of the fantastic dining experience. Recommended!

We had a wonderful dinner at Il Desco during our visit to Verona. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff, who were not only very attentive but also radiated genuine hospitality and professionalism. The dishes were everything you’d expect from a fine dining experience – beautifully presented, creatively composed, and incredibly well balanced in flavor. Each course felt like a small journey through the culinary world, reflecting both precision and imagination.

One of the best Michelin-starred restaurants. The service, atmosphere, and especially the food were outstanding, with every flavor standing out beautifully. Truly magnificent experience. From dish to dish, wine selection, aperitivos, and - most of all - chef and the entire team and their exceptional hospitality- this was a wonderful and delicious evening out. Cannot wait to return! Also, there were so many vegetarian options! They called in advance to ensure that proper care was taken for all dietary restrictions, which showed they go the extra mile with their guests. Stunning experience. From the minute you enter the location, you are embraced by very friendly and attentive service. Food is above all expectations, I highly recommend to get a wine pairing - I promise you won’t regret it. We had tickets to Arena on the same evening, and the crew did everything to ensure we have a great evening and leave on time for the show. You must try the Moli, unfiltered sparkling, absolutely fabulous and a bargain for 4 euro. I cannot tell you how delicious the pickled veg were; fresh crisp and a nice dose of veg given the excess pizza pasta consumption in Italy. The meatballs were well made and the food was so reasonable. The cheapest and best dinner in Verona. Alot of locals too.

Cute little aperitivo spot, with authentic menu and excellent wines. Always busy so queues expected, but waiters are really attentive, doing their best to accomodate everyone.

We came on a weekend day and it was pretty crowded. Had to wait some 20 min to get a table. The food was good but their wines are nothing to write home about. It’s a nice snack/brunch place to make a stop at though.

Great place for wine! Actually it’s the best wine we’ve had on our Italian tour. We needed a small snack and stopped in this sweet little spot that we discovered on our trip here last year. Love the whole vibe. Cool music and a local crowd. Many people were regulars. We had wine with their tartine special (little sandwiches). We also ordered meatballs, which I expected to come with sauce, but did not. We had pasta here last year and it was delicious. It is a fun little bar!

The moment we stepped into Locanda 4 Cuochi we immediately felt the youthfulness and desire to service by the staffs. Stone throw away from the Arena, this restaurant has all the elements to excel. The food was prepared with infusions of bold & unconventional ingredient mix… pleasantly surprised, we ordered duck breast, pasta, risotto & beef loin, yes all of them were culinary art pieces will lots of heart from the chef. I learned about this restaurant via Michelin guide. It is a middle sized restaurant with modern design atmosphere. The service is efficient and friendly. We took the 59 euro tasting menu and I really liked the choices. For starters we had trout and beef tartar. Trout is very finely cooked and beef tartar is quite innovative. For first course we have chosen spaghetti, the flavor is good, too, with a fine touch of pistachios. For main dish I followed the suggestion of the staff and took the pork shank. The cook timing is finely controlled with a nice sweet and sour flavor. It reminds me of Chinese way cooking pork but still this one is crispy on the skin. For dessert we took one Mille feuille and one panna cotta, both are great. I think panna cotta is a little bit lighter in flavor as Mille feuilles have very heavy filling. I do enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant.

We had lunch as they were not able to accommodated an evening reservation. Food was excellent and the staff very accommodating. We had a starter of stuffed courgette flowers and anchovy toast followed by the most amazing risotto. Wine was sensibly priced and a glass was a generous one for 6 euros.

We loved the food here, the saffron and pistachio risotto was delicious and so were the other dishes that we tried. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I do recommend booking in advance, it is very hard to get a table otherwise.

We ordered the focaccia, gnocchi, and risotto, and each dish delivered on flavour and presentation. The focaccia was warm, airy, and perfectly seasoned. Beautifully plated and thoughtfully prepared, this was a standout meal. A place where great food meets truly excellent service.

We had a lovely lunch for two. We were kindly taken to our places inside. The white wine per glass was excellent. For starters we had the focaccina and the zucchini flowers. The fried sardines on the focaccina could have been a little more. For the main we had Fegato di vitello and Storione. Both very good. Two coffees afterwards. Paid a little under 100 euro's. Why is it only that you get attention from the staff while you are eating and no longer when you have finished?

We thought there’s a chance that Trattoria al Pompiere might be a tourist trap since Verona is a small town without too many restaurants, especially in this price range. But this was a very fantastic meal. We didn’t expect the restaurant to have such a high caliber of taste and authenticity in their food. Definitely worth booking a reservation here if you’re stopping by Verona.

We booked a table at Trattoria Al Pompieri months in advance for 1st July, looking forward to dining there during our trip. Two weeks before, we received an email saying the restaurant would be closed for kitchen refurbishment and that our reservation had to be cancelled. We accepted this explanation and rebooked elsewhere. However, on the evening of 1st July, we walked past the restaurant to find it open, busy, and fully operational — no sign of any kitchen works or closures. We went inside and spoke directly with the staff member who had emailed us. Her reaction made it obvious that she had been caught out. She offered no honest explanation. We felt deceived and extremely disappointed. On returning home, we discovered other reviews describing similar situations — last-minute cancellations with vague or false justifications. This seems to be a pattern of behaviour. As travellers who plan ahead and value honesty, we find this level of disrespect and dishonesty unacceptable. We strongly advise future guests to be cautious when booking.

Unique menu with great pastas. We were seated outside as the weather was nice but the foot traffic was a little close for comfort. All dishes were executed very timely and had balanced flavours.

We had a good experience at Trattoria al Pompiere. The mixed cheese tasting was very good, although the jelly was brought out late, after we had already eaten most of the cheeses. The cold tomato and peppers purée with marinated garden vegetables and herbs was excellent – full of flavor and the highlight of the meal. The tagliolini with fresh forest mushrooms and truffles were pretty good, though we did have better pasta dishes elsewhere in Verona. The parmigiana was also solid. The restaurant has a homey, traditional decor. Service was fine, though not quite as attentive as other places we visited. Overall, worth trying if you’re looking for a classic spot in Verona.

Delicous food, however since I was solo, they were not very happy that I want to sit at the terrace. They placed me to a connecting table with a young couple which was quite awkward just because they did not want to give table meant for two just for me. However there remained enough empty tables even after I left. I wanted to have risotto, but you cannot order just one portion, minimum is two. Also both food and drinks are quite overpriced. This was my most expensive lunch out of 3 cities I have visited in Italy this summer. The young boy waiter was really sweet, decent and professional, he will be a fine professional worker one day and he was actually a better waiter than I experienced in many other restaurants. The adult waiter was professional, but not very cordial. I would probably have also a dessert (since the pasta portion was quite small), but I did not feel comfortable or particularly welcome.

I had a lovely dinner at this restaurant, and one standout dish that truly shone was the tiramisu, it was hands-down one of the best I've ever had! I highly recommend ordering it, trust me, you won't regret it. The starters were also delicious, particularly the parmesan eggplant. My main course, beef cheek, was good, but it was the tiramisu that stole the show. The atmosphere was quintessentially Italian and cozy, adding to the overall experience. The location is great, right in front of Juliet's house. Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but given the quality and ambiance, it's worth every penny. The wine by the glass list also stood out.

They snuck us in for dinner close to their closing time, which was nice. They let us try some yummy toasts with spreads to begin. Then we all got pasta (squid ink tortellini was incredible!) with such a nice white wine from Verona. Then we finished with a very nice tiramisu and sorbet. I entered this place after coming down from the castle following the recommendation from a local friend. Even without reservation, I was warmly welcomed by the waiters and they managed to set me at a small table near the entrance. I ordered the amarone risotto and pork belly, both were very delicious. The pork belly was carefully cooked with crispy skin and soft tender meat inside. The mustard and pickles well balanced out the grease. The amarone risotto is a special dish in Verona and I personally find it very flavourful. However some people may not like the acidity that comes with the wine sauce. The waiters and waitresses are very nice, careful and professional. I had a really nice experience and would recommend everyone to try out this place!

You should know that they have changed the menu, therefore most of the photo shoots are not relevant and are no longer served here. The place is very nice and beautiful, excellent service! I ordered vegetable pasta, there were more vegetables than the pasta, a very small portion, I didn't like it. We ordered a glass of wine, it was like tasting a glass of wine, a very small amount.

We found this beauty mid afternoon on a walk around the side streets. Situated between the river and amphitheatre and close to a large square. It was very busy and looked fantastic. The cabinet next to the street at the entrance housed the Cicchetti (small bites) selection. We asked if we could take some away. Not a problem and it wasn't long before we were on our way to a square to devour them. I recommend this place.

A truly special place in Verona. The atmosphere was calm and full of warmth, but what touched me most was the lovely lady who offered me a small “crostino porta vita.” She was so kind and genuine her gesture felt like a quiet blessing, something simple yet unforgettable. We discovered Cafe Carducci thanks to the reviews, but our experience went far beyond expectations. Starting our day there was the best decision we could have made. The atmosphere carries a charming soul of history — no surprise, since it’s been around since 1928 in the heart of Verona! The staff were incredibly kind, always smiling and genuinely helpful. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality. We’re already planning to come back to try the restaurant side. Highly recommended — a true gem!

We had a really lovely breakfast here, the pastries were delicious, the coffee is tasty, and the omelette was cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful. We returned in the afternoon for an espresso and a sfogliatina which gave us a major energy boost!

Finally something / somewhere in Verona which is deserved to be there. Not a tourist trap, the price is justified, we loved the service, the drink and dessert. A wonderfully delicious hidden gem off the beaten tourist path. Food was exceptional and service was also speedy and attentive. My family and I loved every pasta dish we ordered. Great restaurant that offered higher quality food than the usual tourist traps.

Ristorante Greppia was recommended to us by our host, Massimo and it was excellent. It is down a side street close to the main attractions and is worth visiting. The staff were very friendly, helpful and the food was outstanding. It is reasonably priced and the menu has something that should suit everyone. It was extremely busy, so I would recommend booking in advance.

We loved Ristorante Greppia so much that we went for dinner one night and came back again for lunch the next day. The service is truly exceptional — the waiters are so warm and friendly that you feel like part of the family the moment you walk in. The food is delicious, authentic, and truly representative of Verona. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and made with such care. And of course, the famous cake that the restaurant has been making for over 50 years is an absolute must-try. My friends and I were in Verona for a few days and stopped into this restaurant. It was recommended by a local and a tour guide and didn't disappoint. The staff were warm and welcoming. The restarant is classically decorated and has a homey feeling. The food was delicious! We would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Verona.

Beautiful restaurant inside and outside. Very good service. We made reservations since we had a large group which I would recommend since all the tables stayed full during dinner hours. The food was 9/10. We were seated in the back of the patio area against the wall and under umbrellas there was no air flow so it stayed very hot. It would be nice if they would maybe put the umbrellas down after dark to keep it cooler.

Greppia was recommended to me by someone living in Verona so I had to book it whilst there for my birthday. We had a great meal, caprese salad and the trio of pasta - which was amazing. Excellent classic Veronese dishes! The duck ragu and braised beef cheeks were standouts! Their fruit pana cotta was excellent. It’s located right in the heart of the historic district so book ahead to avoid crowds!

A charming and elegant fine dining restaurant located in the heart of the historic city. We visited while in Verona for an exhibition and were thoroughly impressed. We’ll definitely be returning!

We ate at Torcolo last night and it was amazing! Beautiful atmosphere, kind, patient and helpful staff and the most incredible food! We had their famous pasta with truffles, the boiled meat and grilled octopus - all were incredible. The staff does a lovely job explaining the menu…just an overall incredible experience!!

Went here for lunch with my partner. Very cosy and chic restaurant, service was great, and my partner particularly liked the Versace plates. We only ordered the truffle pasta and the white veal ragu, both of which were amazing. There was the added bonus of a (very) small starter and a selection of cakes for dessert.

We came here because it was highly recommended by our host. We tried to book twice but it was always fully reserved, and only managed to get a table after a last-minute cancellation — so expectations were high. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The service felt extremely rushed and transactional — our food arrived in under 5 minutes, and it didn’t feel freshly prepared. We followed the recommendations and ordered the beef with mashed potatoes and the white ragù veal. Both dishes were just okay, definitely not worth the price. We were in and out in about 30 minutes, which is not what you expect in Italy, where meals are usually about quality and experience. Overall, for what we paid, it felt underwhelming and not memorable. Would not recommend.

The hype is real! Apart from having delicious food, the service and atmosphere in this restaurant is exceptional and unique. The ambience and decor are brilliant to look at and food is served with passion. We were so full that we opted for no dessert but we were still provided with some delicacies on the house.

We stopped at Hotel Torcolo restaurant (not the hotel) and really enjoyed it. It looks a bit chaotic at first – lots of people, busy atmosphere – but don’t let that fool you. The food quality is great! I had lamb chops with truffles – delicious. Even with all the hustle, service was fast, friendly, and professional. Also a very nice wine list. A great spot if you want good food in the middle of the buzz.

Come here if you love rich and creamy and truffly pasta! The truffle pasta is amazing: cheesy aromatic, pasta is soft not too al dente. They came with more truffle and put more on it was delicious wow. Also enjoyed the complimentary tomatoe soup meat ball. Great selection of house bread. The complimentary dessert was nice which five different types, just a bit too sweet.

A little secret restaurant we're glad to have found. Small and cosy with a great atmosphere, perfect for a date. An extensive wine list and great recommendations from the staff. Menu is small but everything was delicious, we shared a tasty cheese and prosciutto platter, pasta and veal dish and some great desserts.

Fine service. Pleasant waitor. Non judgemental place. Really tasty cold cuts and good help with matching wine. Dinner for two with 2 cold cuts 1 prima 1 secundi and one bottle of wine 70 euro.

We had the tasting menu, it was a big plate of ham, a small bowl of pasta (very nice), and then a lot of a veal with a sweet sauce, followed by a cheesecake. It was all very rich, and some of the pasta was not cooked properly. The wine was very nice. We thought it was just too heavy. Also one waiter was very nice but the other waitress seemed to be in a rush as she was sitting with her friends on the other table. There is definitely better food in Verona for a lower price.

Beautiful taster menu with great Italian flavours

Our visit to Enoteca Segreta was an unpleasant ordeal, largely due to the extreme rudeness of the waiter. Upon our arrival, we inquired about a specific dish from recent reviews, only to be met with condescension. The waiter not only dismissed our request but also berated us in front of other patrons for not having better researched our choices. To make matters worse, the restaurant charged us for a bottle of water and imposed a sitting fee for the mere 5 minutes we spent there. This combination of arrogance and unexpected charges left us with a thoroughly disappointing dining experience. We strongly advise others to steer clear of Enoteca Segreta.

The Hotel Giberti recommended this restaurant for our last night in Italy and it did not disappoint ! Several reviews talked about the tasting menu which was a special treat of non-stop delicious food and four different wines. We enjoyed every bite! I will be making their baked mushrooms stuffed with pesto for our next Italian night at home! I would highly recommend Il Cenocola if you are looking for a fine-dining experience. It was a memorable meal for us. We arrived by taxi, but if you are walking, please note that the front door is tucked in a corner so could be hard to spot.

Amazing set menu, excellent and helpful service. Didn’t get a picture of the tiramisu but it was delicious! Meat cooked on a coal fire, which was also delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely a quiet hidden gem ! Set menu really good value at about €50 pp without wine, but the wine is great.

Mid-September 2025 - Thursday evening dinner Service - Excellent!- we we served by an experienced woman who had such a professional, yet warm manner, speaking in soft tones with good English, giving a sense of privacy and clearly paying attention to our needs but without constantly bothering us Room and Table - A good space, nicely decorated and with the open cooking fire as a feature - it would have been a very good experience had their been more diners and a more vibrant atmosphere Food - menu very traditional - the Amarone risotto was good as was the mushroom risotto but the fire-grilled local meat was disappointing - not the cooking but we think that the meat quality was not as good as it could have been Wine - a selection of half-bottles allowed for more flexibility on ordering and the half-bottle of the good quality Amarone was very enjoyable We would go back but would seek out a busier night.

Very elegant and expressive place. Loved the atmosphere, the staff was great and the food excellent. They do cater to tour groups and a group of about 30 came in after us and filled the place up, but they were on a fixed menu and miraculously did not affect our food or service at all.

A.k.a. ‘The last supper’ - we were drawn here by the good reviews, in our opinion, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and was a good experience by all standards, but not outstanding, the service was efficient and polite. Perhaps we have become accustomed to more seasoning but we honestly felt something was missing in both of the dishes we ordered. Will choose something different from the menu next time.

Great restaurant, seated us without reservation. One of the best services I’ve had. The waiters are very tranquil and considerate. They also comply to some non-standard requirements would you wish to have them. Food is great. The (red wine) risotto is the best I’ve had. The meat was very tender, and grilled medium, like requested. The products are very nicely compiled , and the different textures compliment each other perfectly. Never had a good Tiramisu, hence I started wondering whether I like Tiramisu at all. But this Tiramusu was by far the best one I’ve ever had, and made me realize that I was missing out all this time. The restaurant isn’t very visible from outside, its in a corner. And Google Maps might even navigate you to the back alley, so there is a chance you will miss this restaurant.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for somewhere to have an upscale dinner in Verona. It is slightly expensive, but the food is worth the price. Everything was delicious; I was particularly a fan of the truffle dishes and recommend their millefoglie with raspberry sauce for dessert. The dishes come in smaller portion sizes, but this is typical of any fancy restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy and we received a free glass of prosecco after being seated. The staff are also highly attentive. It’s a popular place so make sure you book a reservation!

Trattoria Dal Taio is the classic Italian restaurant that everyone looks and hopes for, unique charming atmosphere, exceptional Professional welcoming staff, and truly superior inventive cuisine. Most of the patrons were local, and we were in the front room with two small birthday parties, so delightful and charming that we thought we were in a 1960s Italian movie. We highly recommend any of the Strangozzi Pastas, which is an Umbrian pasta shaped like a thick flat shoelace, and any of Beef is an opportunity that should not be missed. This is the finest restaurant that we have found in the area and as good as any that we have enjoyed during our decades of European travel.

The best restaurant in Verona for sure! We were really lucky to get a table at last minute so you should book in advanced. We ordered two pastas and one meat dish and everything was cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was great as well. The staff is super kind and the place is charming. I will definitely come back

This restaurant is one of my absolute favourites in Verona - it is Michelin rated and the food and service is superb. Although pricey I recommend a meal here to treat yourself! Set right on the river but if full there is extra seating outside on the street side which unfortunately does not have a view of the river... Just as an aside there is a fabulous clothing shop just opposite

The food was incredible, the service was out of this world, and the atmosphere was perfect. We enjoyed four courses and an entire bottle of wine for a great price. Definitely plan on coming back here next time we’re in Verona!

Osteria Ponte Pietra is a true gem. The setting is breathtaking, with stunning views that make every meal feel special. The service is exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere.

We had lunch at Osteria Ponte Piedra Ristorante and really enjoyed it. The gazpacho was incredible and probably the best thing we had there. The slow cooked eggs on toast with pecorino were very good, with a different consistency than expected but great flavor. The octopus with burrata was also excellent and well prepared. The location is fantastic, right on the Adige River with a clear view of Castel San Pietro. Service was friendly and attentive. A great place for lunch in Verona.

Popped in here for my first night in Verona for dinner. I was travelling solo and seated immediately. The atmosphere was warm and cosy; service was excellent and food incredible - I had a lovely pork cheek with polenta followed by Nutella tiramisu. Would absolutely eat here again.

This place is absolutely AMAZING. They have a variety of pastas to choose from and lots of well-known dishes from Verona. The pasta was amazing and so flavorful. The staff was also so incredibly nice— I started speaking Italian and one of the waiters started conversing back with me. This is a place you need to try when you are in Verona.

The service was exceptionally fast and friendly – I immediately felt like I was in good hands. I got some great recommendations and decided to try the pork cheeks braised in Amarone sauce with polenta. The meat was literally falling apart, in the best way possible – tender and juicy, with a rich but well-balanced flavor, nothing too overpowering. I also had a glass of wine based on the staff’s suggestion, and it paired perfectly with the dish. To top it off, I had one of the best espressos I’ve had in a while. All in all, a very solid impression and an experience I’d gladly repeat.

Had the best tortellini of my life here! The food was very very good and our waitress was attentive enough, giving us space to enjoy each others company. Excellent value for the quality of food and wine on offer. Would highly recommend.

This place marked all the high notes! The place itself is full of memorabilia, exclusive antique pieces but the food and the service was exceptional! We started with the bacalao sashimi (yummy!) and then I had the tagliatelle with mushrooms and hubby had the Pluma ibérica (some part of the pork) seems a delicatessen. It did a bit rushed but we came at 130pm and they were closing at 2pm! Very fairly priced, 4 dishes and 3 glasses of wine with water was less then 90euros. Most of the people here are locals

We had a wonderful meal at Trattoria Al Bersagliere. The food was all outstanding. The service was excellent - everyone was friendly and helpful. The ingredients were all fresh and perfectly prepared. Highlights were the sardines, char, and Iberico pork.

The dishes were pretty good. Convenient location. Overall good value for the low price, however the server made us uncomfortable. After he left our table he would mutter things to himself in a disdainful tone. We are tourists, but we were very low maintenance and respectful. We left sooner than we would have and found dessert elsewhere.

I really don’t know why this restaurant is referred at Michelin site. We had for appetizer a polenta with cheese that was a deception. For main plate a pasta with horse ragu - do not recommend - and a filled pasta with sage and butter sauce - this one was ok. For dessert a tiramisu that was ok. The staff wasn’t receptive and attentive.

We arrived late in the evening around 9 o'clock in Verona and visited the restaurant literally moments before the kitchen closed. The staff seemed a bit rushed and nervous, most likely because it was the end of their working day. One of the waiters didn't understand much English, but we managed to communicate with the other one. The atmosphere was exceptionally authentic and pleasant, transporting you to the memories, experiences, and friendships of the owner. The food was delicious, and for the first time, I tried two new Italian desserts which I unfortunately don't remember the names of, but I'm attaching pictures. As we were leaving, a third waiter accompanied us, who was extremely kind and gracious. Despite the restaurant being close to closing time, he shared stories about the place, showed us the chair where Joe Cocker sat, told us about all the famous personalities who had visited the restaurant, took us to their wine cellar, and showed us a Formula 1 steering wheel and equipment - the perfect ending to the evening, truly memorable. Thank you, kind person, even though we didn't catch your name.

This out of the way restaurant is a gem. The seafood is fresh, unique and put together creatively. The wine lists pairs beautifully with the menu. On a late summer afternoon, the garden courtyard in the back, quiet hush of diners chatting, the hypnotic rhythm of attentive service, food times perfectly. This is a treat. A backstory: The restaurant owner and chef began at the Michelin restaurant in town and co founded this restaurant with Simon. Simon bought out the other share. So the training, caliber, and style is reminiscent of the Michelin in town. A sister restaurant, almost.

Went here based on rave reviews, but I am unimpressed. Expensive food in tiny portions with pretentious descriptions but lacking in flavor. My pasta with shrimp, black garlic and cardamom tasted only of too much shrimp shell. Onion cream on my microscopic portion of red mullet tasted of nothing, and the big gob of salty anchovy underneath was an unpleasant surprise.

Came to eat because of all of the reviews. Took a long walk all around Verona and thought this would be a great way to end the trip. We ended up getting three different ones. My favorite was the beef carpaccio. So good !!! Tons of beef and a great bread! I would have given five stars but my wife is gluten free and Italy has been so amazing with almost everywhere having some kind of gluten free options. This place does not have anything. They said we could go down to the grocery store and buy some gluten free bread and bring it back and they would make a sandwich. Nice options but didn't have time this time .

Grabbed lunch here twice whilst on a quick break to Verona. Had the beef carpaccio foccacia both times and it was excellent. Limited space to stand and eat but given I needed to eat on the go, this wasn't an issue for me. Would not hesitate to go back.

I found this place with google maps because the restaurants near the Arena are really expensive and wanted something more affordable. La Figaccia is near the arena, there are no tables but the food is delicious 😋 I took the focaccia Fit with turkey. If I will go to Verona, I would definitely eat there again 😊

Scamsters of the most sneakiest kind. Tried to charge us €25 more for the wine. Plus added water to our bill - which we didn’t have. Forced two desserts on us when we clearly said we wanted one to share.

The food was fine but not amazing and not worth the price, especially when there are other better places just a few minutes walk away. The bread turned out to be 10 euros and was not good. Service was okish. We were the only ones there all night, wish we'd read the reviews properly before but the michelin stickers drew us in! Also music playing was a bit naff.

Superb dining, friendly staff, (the chef even came out to the table to check everything was ok), fantastic ambience. No wonder it's one of the oldest restaurants in Verona. Honestly, my wife and I were so pleased we celebrated her 60th birthday here. It was so good we immediately booked again for our last evening meal before we leave for home. Can't explain any bad reviews, this is a must if you are in Verona. Thoroughly recommend, and we ARE returning.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to - in my life. I’m not joking. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant, or felt like I had to be on my guard all night to avoid being ripped off. We were almost finished with our bottle of wine so they brought us a new one, already opened, without asking first. They then got angry and aggressive when I gently pointed out that we didn't order it. To appease them we ordered the desserts that they forcefully insisted we take - despite wanting to leave. The final coup de grace was to charge us exorbitant sums for bread and olive oil and god knows what else that we didn’t ask for and didn’t eat. When we dared ask about that - also gently to avoid cashing a fuss and ruining our night further - they started shouting and told us to leave! The female owner then physically pushed us out while hurling abuse in front of other diners!! I thought I was in a bad movie. I've never seen anything like it. We were all shell shocked. I've seen the positive reviews and all I can say is - you got lucky! The owners are genuinely crazy, and I don't say that lightly. So maybe they just weren't working the night you were there, or were busy elsewhere. Avoid at all costs, unless you like the idea of a ruined evening that you can tell your friends about for the rest of your life...:)

There is a sign at the door saying they will return after 10/09/2024. Not sure if the owner went for holidays but it was missed to update the absence on their page. I walked to the place thinking I was going to try their pizza recommended by the hotel hostess. Unfortunately i couldn’t try and I couldn’t make on time for any other restaurant around. Had to sleep belly empty. 😞

I very much enjoyed my pizza. Unfortunately my partner got a pizza that was just onion as they forgot the other ingredients. Funnier for me than her.

The pizza is tasty but not worth €7 for a Margherita, there are other places which meet the same quality as this place. There are 2 useless girls who take the orders, I kindly asked them to add oregano and cut my pizza in 8 slices, yes by word but zero action.

The pizza was superb with loads of toppings. It was however a little bit too salty for my taste. A good spot for a cheap and easy take-away dinner without having to sacrifice quality.

This is a fantastic restaurant! In an alley, just off P. Bra, it offers some peace amongst the chaos…a beautiful refuge. I came for an early dinner once in 2022, and twice in 2025. On all occasions the food was top quality and the service perfect - a great balance between responsiveness and no pressure. I was never pressured to buy water. On the two nights in 2025, I had John (Ajay) as my waiter- what a great guy! Do yourself a favour and dine here - I cannot recommend it highly enough!!

Think this was a good find. Varied menu without being standard fare. Able to book online. Service generally good, but a bit slow to make food order. Prices reasonable, especially for location… but did all add up to a large total in the end.

this is right off of the main tourist area. They were able to seat me without a wait. The food was good and their wine list was decent. overall an acceptable option if you just need a quick sit down meal without planning ahead for a reservation.

The location of the restaurant next to Arena gave us a romantic atmosphere. Service was fast & attentive. We ordered Porchini mushrooms at the starter, followed by Lobster Linguine & Amarone Risotto, we pair it with the local famous Amarone Tommasi (even though we ordered pasta, we just love Amarone Tommasi, and not following the rules where pasta/seafood pair with White, while meat pair with Red). All three dishes are of excellent taste, the mushrooms were nicely grilled & its fragrance filling the air, we add a bit of salt to further bring out the taste. While the Lobster Linguine was my favorite, paste was Al Dante, lobster meat was chewy & juicy, I wipe the plate clean with the table bread. However, the so to speak local favorites cuisine Amarone Risotto, was a bit below my expectation, the dish really smell good with Parmesan toppings but it taste too salty, per my own judgement. If the chef could cut the saltiness by 30-40%, that will be perfect. One more honest comment, the starter bread was a bit dry, I have certainly tried better ones in other restaurants in Italy. My humble comment. Overall a good experience especially the Lobster Linguine !!

Quiet and cool in the shade sitting outside in a small street just off piazza Bra. The service was superb, as was the food and wine. We shared a starter then each had the homemade gnocchi with crab, and a bottle of Soave white wine. We have spent quite a bit of time in Italy and really like to experience good good. All excellent! Clientele seemed a mix of foreign tourists, locals, and Italian tourists. Our waiter said ciao the next day as we walked by, which is a nice touch. We would definitely go back to try something else on the menu, and highly recommend during your visit to Verona.

What an amazing resturant, we went by Google review and this was the first pick for the dishes we wanted, I came with my wife and 3 of my kids. Every dish was amazing we all tasted from each other and if we had space we would eat more! Quality ! Delicious! Really enjoyable meal and experience in this restaurant. I made a reservation in advance and the restaurant was full on a Saturday evening after 19:30. The service was very friendly and welcoming; however I did think the service was maybe a little too rushed but this did not impact on the overall experience. Prices were fair and the quality of the food was excellent. Would recommend.

We enjoy our table in their backyard. The service is smiling and attentive. The price is slightly high for Verona. Despite a good variety of complimentary bread, the dishes we order are average: salmon is overcooked and meat&mushroom pasta has a quite plain taste.

Lovely restaurant a little away from the main tourist area. We were able to get a table without pre booking. Staff were friendly and offered excellent wine recommendations to go with our meals. The food was delicious! Perfect portion sizes, tasty and well presented. Would definitely visit again.

Bigoli was absolutely delicious, wine recommendations met expectations. It's a great choice and definitely worth a visit.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Verona! I tried the cuttlefish with polenta, and it was absolutely incredible. The tiramisu was on another level—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. A solid 5 out of 5, highly recommended!

This was our last dinner in Verona. We really liked how the place looked—it’s truly unique to have dinner inside a church, surrounded by fragments of frescoes, interior details, and many other elements that are fascinating to observe. The ambiance is undoubtedly the main highlight of this restaurant. My recommendation: if you want to dine here, make sure to book a reservation on their website. The restaurant is always fully booked, and they can’t accommodate changes if your plans shift and you want to dine earlier. (I made the reservation just a few hours before, and there were still enough time slots available at that point.) The food was good and tasty, and the menu featured local ingredients like horse meat and polenta. However, we didn’t experience any “culinary fireworks,” especially considering the price. That said, the desserts were excellent and definitely memorable! Unfortunately, the restaurant’s organization that evening left much to be desired. Perhaps someone from the staff was absent or unwell, but the service felt a bit chaotic. This turned out to be the fastest dinner we’ve ever had—exactly 1 hour and 15 minutes. Here are some points that influenced our overall impression: - We were seated at a wobbly table. It’s something that could have been checked beforehand, rather than seating guests at a table that felt like it had just been added last minute to fit us in. - We asked for a regular bottle of water, and while they brought the bottle, they didn’t provide any glasses. When I finally got a glass and started drinking, I noticed it had a chipped edge. This is very dangerous, as a guest could easily get hurt. We pointed it out to the waiter, but the glass wasn’t replaced—they just nodded as if to say, “Thanks for letting us know.” - We ordered antipasti and specifically mentioned several times that we wanted to share the dish. When it was served, they brought us just one fork! We laughed, assuming they would bring more cutlery shortly. When the waiter returned, we mentioned it again, and they brought us one more fork and a single plate. This felt very unprofessional. - Before we even finished our antipasti, they brought out the main courses. We were really surprised because normally there are clear serving rounds, and we expected the mains to arrive after the antipasti with a small pause. Instead, our table was completely overcrowded with plates. At the end of the evening, we decided to order coffee and desserts. But as soon as we mentioned coffee, the waiter rushed off without giving us a chance to complete the order. We had to call him back just to add the desserts. It felt very unpleasant, almost as if they were in a hurry to get us to leave. When I went to pay for the dinner, I shared my feedback with the manager. To make up for the issues, he offered us complimentary limoncello shots. While it was a nice gesture, the overall experience left a lingering disappointment that couldn’t be erased by limoncello.

Very nice quiet place in Verona. Recommended by a friend that lived there. Very good dish of pasta and tortelli. Very cost and basic, perfect for a nice break in a beautiful city.

Built inside an historic church, battered and conquered by Napoleon, the remnants of its history are all around the interior. The food, simply amazing. I don’t think I have had better mussels. They were fresh, hot and the sauce was soooo flavorful, I couldn’t dunk enough bread in it and wound up eating the broth with the spoon. Simply put, everything had flavor, texture and perfect seasoning.

Very special experience to have dinner in an old church. We had a perfect evening here with this special athmosphere and also the wine, service and dishes were delicious. Big recommendation for the Gnocci with Amarone and the duck Tagliatelle and the Amaretto Semifreddo.

We had a fantastic meal at Santa Felicita Restorante. Tucked away in a small side street, this restaurant is steeped in history. Pasta was amazing, but the pizza was a touch disappointing-but not bad in any way. Just very high standards for Pizza. This was one of the few places that catered well for Vegetarian- with everything clearly labelled.

Felt racially discriminated. Why? Because all other westerners that had the same skin color as the Caucasian waiters, who came in way later than we did in larger crowds, were severed incredibly fast, their questions were all nicely answered and the waiters were kissing up to them. They didn’t even speak Italian, most were also foreigners. Saw another table where an asian couple seated at was also served last. Came right on time, we were the first customers and made our order promptly. Though the waiter did not seemed too interested in taking our order at all as he tapped impatiently at his device and clicked his pen, while not bothering to entertain our questions as if he had somewhere better to be. Next food was served incredibly slow. Food was incredible bland, and no effort in making presentable at all. When asking for drinks, the waiter casually slams the glass bottle down at the table while scooting along. And constantly makes an effort to bump my chair while there’s ample space when walking past, even when I moved myself inwards to give even more space for them to walk by. Do read the other 1 star comments on here as it accurately describes the same experience. So know this, if you’re of any Asian origin from any where in the world, even if you speak English or Italian, you best not come to this restaurant at all, unless you like seeing racial discrimination at its finest.

We had dinner here on on the 9th of June. We read the reviews before booking a table and we were hoping to have a nice dinner but it didn’t really go to plan. The highlight of this experience was a waiter who had some sort of body fluids (either sweat or snot) drop of his face around our table and into out dishes and drinks as they were served. I understand that we all have bad days but that should be unacceptable in a hospitality setting as it is unhygienic. The same waiter kept throwing dishes onto our table, smashing the glasses around, instead of just calmly putting it on. One of the dishes that we ordered was a salmon salad, that came raw fish that was served WARM with fish scales. And the only “dressing” was soy sauce. On top of that, the dish arrived with some salad attached to the bottom of the plate😂😂 Honestly, the dinner kept progressively getting worse. Most of the dishes were either tasteless or they didn’t taste good (scallops, beef Tartar). Some dishes were decent (truffle gnocchi, salmon and tiramisu), but we still payed €140 and it was not worth it. We definitely won’t be back and this place does not deserve the rating of 4.3 that it has. We left very disappointed!

We had a really great time here. The staff were all really attentive and had good recommendations. My personal from all the dishes we’ve ordered was the pasta with tuna and tuna. I would say all food was great but I am not a fan of their dessert. If I have to recommend one it would be the Baba. There’s alcohol in it so not suitable for kids.

Amazing seafood in amazing atmosphere (also great meat options available!)!! We enjoyed the food as well as good sparkling wine with perfect service :) weather we are talking about local food or wine! I have a gluten intolerance and they took care of it from A to Z and offered me all meals with a gluten free option. Perfect service for food & wine!! Absolutely brilliant food and service, and a very kind and talented chef! We ordered crab salad, red prawn, seafood tagliolini, lobster ragu pacchero and Crepe Suzette. Everything was so fresh and delicate, and the Crepe Suzette was particularly memorable.

Quite a busy place during tourist season. We were lucky to find a table in 5 min. Better to order everything at once. Have to wait almost 20 min for second glass of vine. Nevertheless pasta with truffles was good.

Very disappointed. Returning for our 10th wedding anniversary after hosting our wedding reception here - not that this made any difference except to turn some lights on to take photos. My husband had taken a long time to find this restaurant again (I had a surprise wedding), and the restaurant venue had been organised by our wedding coordinator. We chose to eat inside because of our previous memories. The service was not great and certainly not fast. ( I also didn't appreciate stale smoke breath from what appeared to be a senior member of staff.) The restaurant definitely wasn't very accommodating for allergies. I was served the wrong food and ended up eating once everyone else was finished. Because of the fuss regarding allergies I hadn't realised that sides needed to be ordered separately, and waitor didn't point this out, so I ended up with 2 small lamb chops after my leaves with flowers starter. It all took so long and not in a pleasant, food experience, wonderful ambience kind of way. A basket of cold bread rolls sat on the table with some breadsticks, but no oil and vinegar and no side plates. Everyone else's food was ok but not exceptional. As I said, the whole experience left us very disappointed but we did manage to get some photos and show the restaurant to our children as they were too young to remember being there for the wedding.

Went there for dinner with work colleagues after a conference we were attending. Simply amazing place with really tasty food and nicely decorated dishes. It is a bit expensive but some of the dishes I had (like the risotto with squid ink) was one of the tastiest risotti I have ever had!

It was a unforgettable afternoon in this beautiful spot in Verona. My first time in Italy was magnificently crowned with this incredible restaurant. Service is kind and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. I had a very happy moment while having our meal there in a hot summer day listening to a local musician playing the classic ones with his little accordion. I will definitely be back if traveling to Verona again and a must!

Food here was amazing, although it was a bit of a quiet night. It's not a cheap restaurant but I highly recommend it. Sadly one of the local rose seller guys kept coming in pestering the tables but the waiters did get rid of him.

My companion said “The tartare would be my last meal” Amazing food in an upscale but laidback environment. The Beef Tartare was the best I’ve ever had in all of Europe. Creative plates at a good price. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The Somm recommended a great bottle of wine in the local region. Gave us just enough information to make a good choice and know a little about what we were drinking, without any level of pretentiousness. Obvious he could talk a lot more about wine but picked up on our needs. Well behaved kid and dog friendly. Thinking about going back for lunch just for the tartare.

This ice cream shop not only sell ice cream of high standard but their crepes are equally good too ! It is so good that we have to come the 2nd time (in two days) to try other flavours . It doesn't not disappoint ! It definitely leaves a good memory for us of Verona and its food ...

Excellent gelato at Gelateria La Romana. However, expect long queues on a sunny day! Line went out of the door into the street. We had pistachio, lemon, and cioccolato fondente, which were all yummy.

We came to the store when it was literally no crowd and ordered one gelato and one yogurt. After we got our gelato the worker just dont do or say anything until i said again that i want the yogurt. Then she said “we dont have.” Then i asked what is Cremolata Artigianale and she answered “its a drink” which i know it’s a drink by the picture 😂 what a smart answer. Then i ordered it and got a very sweet cremolata that only taste like sugar. Definitely will not go back here. Thankyou for the very bad service and taste.

Last summer, just before heading to the opera, we had a fantastic dinner at Tre Marchetti in Verona. The setting was beautiful, with an elegant and atmospheric charm that felt perfect for a special evening. The food and wine were good, showcasing high-quality ingredients and classic Italian flavors. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the wine selection complemented the meal perfectly. Service was also warm, attentive, and professional, adding to the overall experience. It was the ideal place to start the night before heading to the Arena di Verona for the opera. We’d come again if in the area.

One of the best fillets I’ve ever eaten. Lovely spot near the Amphitheater, the prices scare off big crowds but service is very good and food is spectacular. Try the fillet with truffled mushrooms, the anchovy starter and the seafood pastas.

This experience was a bitter disappointment. The interior promised a good level of service, but the waitress seemed to work the first day. She could not answer easy questions and said that there was no dry red wine. We had to call the other waiter to get it. The food was far from our expectations. The duck leg tasted too sweet with a strong flavour of alcohol, and veal liver with onions was dry. The potatoes from the side dish resembled cardboard. Desserts were just ordinary, better ones could be found at any bakery. Moreover, the bathroom is terrible! That's a shame for the restaurant with 100€ bills. And finally, when I complained that I didn't like the food, the waitress didn't answer or ask anything. To sum up, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, there are many nice places for the better price.

This was somewhat of an unexpected experience, we went without reservation while passing through the city on Easter Sunday for a couple of hours. The manager was nice enough to provide a table on this busy day and I must say we were lucky he did! The food is absolute on point and as a first experience in this city I can say I have very high standard set now… service was one of the best outside Michelin star restaurants

We planned to go to different place, but didn‘t got a table there. So we spontanously dropped by and got charmed. Amazing staff! The best allergy conscious menu we have ever seen and the food was simply delicious (and beautiful to look at). We loved it and are sad that we don’t have another evening left to go again. Sunday night in Verona, no many places open, I walked by twice and finally asked them if the "Kitchen was open" and it was the best meals I have in Verona, the place is cozy, the team take care of you with a big smile. The cuisine was amazing, tasty, local and I went to heaven and came back, the wine pairing was perfect, and the dessert was out of the world, stop by and enjoy this perfect place. It is not by the tourist center but it is centric.

The food was amazing, the staff very very kind and prepared, the atmosphere sophisticated. Peculiar the box with cards showing many many kinds of cheese to choose from. A lovely experience.

Sooooo good!!!! Amarone risotto here is delicious! We had amarone risotto in several restaurants here in Verona, but this is our favorite. The tiramisu was good, however, I didn't enjoy the three dessert - the cookies were too hard fory liking, the mango was too sour, and the Juliet dessert was too sweet. We have returned here and we will certainly be back.

We had a really nice lunch here before we went to the opera. We started with the aracini and had the bigoli al ragu afterwards, both were really good. The wine we had was really nice. The service staff was friendly and proffesional. I recommend booking in advance as it is a very popular restaurant.

I recently visited Re Teodorico with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. We ordered two main dishes: The Pigeon and Rib braised in Valpolicella with puree. Unfortunately, our experience with the food was deeply disappointing. The Pigeon was already lukewarm when it arrived, and within just 2–3 minutes, it became completely cold — to the point where a visible white layer of fat had solidified on the meat. The second dish was no better — the rib was overcooked and dried out, lacking any tenderness or juiciness. I’ve attached photos to show exactly what we were served. To be fair, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the view from the restaurant is truly beautiful. If you’re looking for a spot with a scenic overlook, this place might be worth a visit — but I would not recommend it for the food. There are many other restaurants in the area with far better cuisine. Additionally, just across from the restaurant entrance there’s a panoramic road with stunning views, perfect for photos and enjoying the moment — and it’s free. In my opinion, Re Teodorico is overrated. The prices are far too high for the quality of the food we received. Had I known what to expect, I wouldn’t have ordered these dishes even at half the price.

Came across this restaurant in our online research for restaurants with the best views in Verona. While the views were amazing the food was the real star of the show. We opted for a 10 course tasting menu with a bottle of red valpolicella classico wine and boy were we absolutely satisfied. Every course we had was delicious but what stood out was the amazing flavour of the caramelized onion dish and the roast chicken butter. In the mains the porcini mushroom risotto and roast suckling pig were absolutely spot on with their textures, flavours and presentation. The main dessert was a playful dish with wonderful textures. The service levels were very high and the view ofocurse to die for. Given the location and quality of food, I think the meal was amazing value for money spent. Highly recommend them for wonderful romantic meal or for a fun time with friends on a lazy afternoon or early evening. Go for the view. Stay for the food.

We had a lovely evening and final dinner of our Verona trip at Re Teodorico! Great things to note: - the location is wonderful, stunning views over the city from the lovely terrace and also the restaurant inside is stylish and elegant - great drinks, especially the open wines were very good - the food was very good and very high quality - the desserts were especially good and very delicious - service was friendly and efficient Some "negative" points: - the portions are on the smaller side, prices are quite high. So you might disagree with the portion-price-ratio, but of course you also pay for the location (which is understandable) - my main course (beef steak) came cold, but they quickly fixed it - we asked for some oil & vinegar, which they brought in a basket with salt & pepper, so your typical "table equipment". When receiving the bill, q were charged 5€ for the oil & vinegar, which is quite steep and somewhat unnecessary given the overall higher prices. They mention the 5€ charge on the menu for "extra bread, butter, oil and vinegar", but since we didn't get any butter and felt the "extra" would mean ordering a refill on bread etc, we were a bit surprised about this. Overall a very nice meal and evening, just be aware of the higher prices and maybe schedule a dinner here for an occasion or special evening, not your casual weeknight dinner.

Gorgeous view but the food was disappointing. We got the ravioli and cuttlefish ink spaghetti. Very small portions, particularly the ravioli and its taste was bland. The spaghetti taste was okay. However service was good and quick.

An unexpected pleasant surprise. You go to these places for the view. So it’s always great when they also delivered on the food! I had one of the pizzas and it was delicious. Their wine list is also well chosen. I left well rested and ready for more exploration. Highly recommended. Ps. The place has two sections (both with views). One area if you’re only there for drinks, and another area if you’re going for a meal (slightly nicer with white table cloth).

A great little atmospheric café with delicious coffee and lots of souvenirs – cups, sweets, cookies, and other take-home products. Definitely a spot you’ll enjoy. You can get here in under 10 minutes on foot from the Arena, and from here it’s just a short walk to the nearby square and basically a stone’s throw to Juliet’s house. A really good strategic stop.

I went twice in one day it was so good! They were kind and patient with my speaking Italian and even said brava! The pistachio cornetto was delicious and the cappuccino with soy milk was perfect. I felt the prices were great too! This will be my daily visit for my 9 days in Verona.

Will always get my coffee here. Latte macchiato’s are delicious. Staff were excellent, so nice, polite and friendly-definitely makes a difference.

Please try the raspberry croissant and pistachio croissant!! They were fantastic. This is a small charming caffe with a hustle and bustle atmosphere. We have been back four times and have no complaints. The coffee is delicious and the staff and brilliant. If you are looking for an easy breakfast I recommend both for takeaway and eating in.

This is a cute little shop. Only a couple tiny tables to sit but you’ll be inches away from the people coming in and ordering coffee so only a good place for take away. They drinks are 7/10. Overpriced pastries. They staff seemed really flustered and stressed so weren’t much help if you had a question about the menu items.

The dishes were fresh and full of flavor, but what really stood out was the warm, genuinely friendly service — not just polite, but welcoming in a way that felt personal. The location, just steps from the Arena, makes it ideal for a relaxed meal. We’d happily return.

We, a party of four, had our lunch in that restaurant, and all were very satisfied. We all had Eggplant Parmigiana in Cheese Basket (supper delicious) as appetizer and then Pizza (very tasty). I really enjoyed my cold beers before/with the meal and Mandarin-cello after my meal. Staff are very friendly with nice and polite sense of humour. They helped us in choosing our food and drinks. Drinks were on our table in just few minutes and foods came in a very short wait which is awesome when you are thirsty and hungry in a hot summer afternoon. I highly recommend this restaurant and definitely will go there if I come back to Verona again.

Incredible Italian and Veronese food. We tried the famous risotto all'amarone, a Veronese risotto made with red wine which gives its particular colour and it was delicious. The staff was kind and very professional, the atmosphere was was and typical from Italy.

Arche proved to be a remarkable discovery during our stay in Verona. We found ourselves returning for most of our meals, drawn by the consistently delicious, authentic cuisine and the fair pricing. The service was truly exceptional—while I’ll spare you the personal details, it will be sufficient to say that the team did it’s upmost to make us feel welcome and to accommodate our needs with genuine care. And finally, the location: just a few minutes’ walk from Piazza delle Erbe, away from the crowds it is placing you in the very heart of the city.

We came across this restaurant while wandering around on the small side streets of Verona. While we looked at the menu posted outside a young woman came out to greet us. It turned out that she is the owner, very personable, spoke English, and set us up for a reservation for which we returned later. I'm glad we ate there because the entire experience was enjoyable - the food, setting, and the people. The highlight of my meal was a spaghetti in red sauce with tuna and olives. I will return here on my next trip to Verona!

Absolutely spectacular seafood restaurant with very nice location on a secluded small square close to the old fish market! We ordered pasta with shrimps and a lobster dish. Perfectly prepared and distinct taste. We had to order another dish, octopus this time. It was also cooked to perfection! Will recommend to friends that are going to Verona soon!

We visited Berberè and ordered three pizzas along with beer, wine, and a Coke. The pizza was okay, but nothing special or memorable. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly or engaging, which affected the overall experience. The location itself is quite pleasant and nicely set up. Overall, it was an average visit – not bad, but not enough to make us want to return.

Tasty and freshly made pizza with excellent dipping options. Very light pizza so doesn’t make you feel super heavy at the end. Very nice beers too and very reasonably priced compared to other spots in town!

We came in on a hot summer day after having decided not to stay at a tourist trap resturant im the square (Piazza Erbe). It was a great choice! AC inside, welcoming staff, delicious pizza (both toppings and the dough) and plentiful salad. Washrooms are also clean. Fully recommend.

The pizza was... good — nothing I haven’t had before, but good enough. However, the experience was overshadowed by how rushed and transactional it all felt. When we arrived, we were told the table was reserved and that we had to leave in an hour — despite there being no sign on the table. Throughout our stay, we noticed the same message being given to every group of tourists that came in. It seemed like a tactic to keep people moving and maximize turnover, which made the atmosphere feel cheap and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I’m giving this place 2 stars mainly because the pizza is decent – otherwise, it would’ve been a 1-star experience. As soon as you sit down, the waitresses come over to tell you that the table is “reserved” and you only have one hour to eat. It feels unwelcoming and rushed. On top of that, the Aperol Spritz was basically water – absolutely terrible. Overall, not a place I’d recommend unless you’re just grabbing a quick pizza and don’t mind the pressure.

It's in a great location. The atmosphere is nice. Pizza was decent, no complaints there. One thing that we didn't like at all was that we were charged 2euros per person (3 of us, aka 6 euros) for the hand towels etc. We weren't informed of such costs beforehand, nor are these costs justified. Even though the pizza was decent, we are certainly not going back.

One of the worst pizza ever! A kind of sandwich with focacia and cheese or with prosciuto. A piece of focacia with something over and this components don't meet the owen in the same time! Only the name! Try to keep you away to this location!

Trattoria San Basilio alla Pergola is the place where you understand: happiness exists and it smells like ruddy lamb ribs. So tender that it seems they jumped from the plate straight into the heart. The waitress providing us with service is personal and absolutely excellent and a delightful bonus: she doesn’t just serve, but as if she meets an old friend, only without awkward questions like “why haven’t you been here for so long?” The waitress is so warm-hearted that there is a risk of confusing her with relatives who have finally decided to feed you properly. The atmosphere is simple, lively, without ostentatious glamour, but with that very comfort for which you go to Italy. If you are looking for gastronomic therapy for sadness and fatigue, here it is, personally tested.

The best trattoria we went to in Verona by far. Every meal we’ve had was incredibly prepared, praise to the chef.

In my opinion, this place is overpriced. I came there for mushroom pasta with porcini and truffle sauce hoping it would be as tasty as in other places but I was fairly disappointed. For a price that is a few euro higher than in other places, I could barely find any porcini and almost all the mushrooms were other kind. The truffle taste was very minimal if existent. The portion size was fine - not super large but good. To be clear, they don’t position this pasta as purely porcini pasta so it’s all fine from that perspective but the price they set for what they deliver feels very off compared to other places. Also they did not bring grated hard cheese to season pasta like they do in other places. The texture of the pasta was good and they served the order quickly

Beautiful cosy trattoria with typical veronese menu and authentic flavors. Non too much room but the atmosphere is lively and warm. Tagliatelle ai fegatini (liver) is highly recommended if you like liver of course. Gnocchi al ragù was delicious. Not cheap but reasonably priced.

A rare find of an intimate local eatery in a city mostly busy with multitudes of tourist. It’s on a quiet side street away from the crowds. If you are looking for a place to eat that feels like the true feelings of Verona then this is it. The staff is family run and so caring about your experience. And the food is spectacular. We had the eggplant, blew our mind. The duck ragu and maccheroncini con tastasal were incredible. They offer meals with horse and though they looked amazing we were not that adventurous. We feel very lucky that we had this experience before we left Verona.

A wonderfully charming little restaurant full of character. The food was excellent, I had never had snail stew before or such well cooked polenta. The lady and gentleman serving were so welcoming despite being incredibly busy. I will definitely try to eat there again.

Wow! What fantastic food! The best pasta we had during our stay in Verona! It's a shame we couldn't go back... We didn't have a reservation but was able to get a table for 4 as soon as it opened at 7pm for 90mins, we were so lucky as they were turning people away - so would highly recommend booking. Two of the dishes were without tomatoe sauce and they tasted amazing! Service was fantastic and we weren't rushed at all. I asked for a recommendation for a red wine to have with my pasta and it was always fantastic!

Very authentic Italian Osteria. We really appreciate that they are working with Cotechino, an extremely tasty Italian sausage. The pasta was cooked on point, the sauces were well balanced. Dessert was fine as well. The service was nice. We were very happy that we found this place and recommend it!

A wonderful, cozy, little restaurant in the heart of the city, away from the hectic touristic areas. Very quiet, relaxing and as authentic as it can be. I gave it 4 starts, although everything was fine, because there was no air-conditioning which was needed, since the day was very hot. Regardless of this, the service and food were perfect. Try not to miss it when you goto Verona.

Very wide range of options when you are looking for something sweet to eat. We had 2 different desserts, one was cannolo unfortunately it was not that fresh, the other was some sort of a cake with mandorla taste in it, very particular. The pricing is fair in general, which is a good point hence they’re pretty close to the city center.

The almond cake has a dry n crusty outside but the inside was surprising moist and tasty. However I was disappointed to see in the ingredients that they use margarine. The small cute cakes were pricey and too sweet.

Fabulous Italian coffee and cake shop! Stand at the counter for caffè (which is very good) and torta russa (my first, enjoyed it) and then move on. The apple danish (not sure that was it's actual name) was really good as well, flaky and light, not too sweet and with plenty of apple. Pastries baked on site and great coffee, my kind of place 😃

I wouldn’t recommend this café if you're looking for a pleasant experience. I recently visited this café while traveling, hoping for a relaxing spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry. While the pastry was quite nice, I was disappointed with the coffee, which was rather average. What truly ruined the experience, however, was the atmosphere and the service. Located in a busy tourist area, I was surprised that none of the staff could speak English, which made communication difficult. They were quite rude, shouting when they didn’t have what I ordered, which made me feel uncomfortable. It seems like this is a family-run business, but unfortunately, they didn’t make any effort to be polite or welcoming. A smile or a bit of kindness goes a long way, especially for travelers. In my experience, good hospitality is essential, especially in gastronomy. If you can’t keep your temper in check or treat customers with respect, it creates a negative experience. During my trip through Italy, I never encountered such behavior at other cafés or restaurants, making this place stand out for all the wrong reasons. Sadly, it left me feeling disappointed and affected my overall mood for the day.

The smallest size of torte russa de Verona is the whole cake (piccola) for 13 EUR. So in order to try it, you have to buy a whole cake. Which I did, as I'm a pastry chef and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all... Full of artificial almond flavour and the dough is made with margarine, not with real butter, which you can taste immediately. So after one slice, I had to throw away the rest, which is a waste. I don't know if only this pastry shop uses such low quality ingredients or it's like that everywhere, as I don't plan on trying this cake again 😅

Stopped by for breakfast and treats on the go and the range of selection of savoury and sweet snacks was wonderful - special recommendation for the typical rossini & torta russa. The ladies behind the counter was very nice to us.

The rum baba had a distinctive taste — very different from other places in Verona. I really liked the desserts.

A nice small coffee shop with tasty pastrie, they also sell some sandwiches, a quite place to talk and spend good time with friends. It has only 4 tables inside where you can find locals coming and going with all the delicius desserts. RECOMENDED!

Best pastry shop in the whole city! Top quality ingredients and a wide selection (croissants, cakes, biscuits, small pastries...). Professional and very polite employees. It’s been my go-to bakery for 6 years, and will surely continue to be.

Maybe it does not have the same level of innovation of other top pasticcerie, but the desserts I tried were fabulous. The pain au chocolat was great: fragrant outside and butterly inside, the pistachio and chocolate cake was perfectly balanced and tasty. I would totally suggest a visit!
