Greek restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Odyssey Greek Restaurant is a family-run establishment in Chesterfield, offering a wide range of traditional Greek dishes. The restaurant features different dining areas including The Garden Area, The Dining Booth, and The Dining Kitchen, each with its own unique ambiance. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, Odyssey provides an authentic Greek experience right in the heart of Chesterfield. Customers have praised the delicious food, generous portion sizes, and friendly service at this top-rated eatery.
Absolutely brilliant experience. Visited early on a Friday night. Service was spot on, waiting time was perfect. Didn't feel slow or too rushed. Greeted warmly and with a complimentary shot of Uzo. Greek music playing in the background and lots of trinkets from the island really help set the tone. The menu is really nicely set out and helped give a real family feel to the restaurant. Had deep fried feta with a jam as a start and my wife had baked aubergine. They're not messing about with portion sizes here. This Yorkshireman was very happy. Both were delicious. Main course, I had the Odyssey mixed grill and my wife had the Greek meatballs. Both were delicious. Mine was again a hefty portion and I left the restaurant feeling full but not uncomfortably so. My oy critique (and not enough to change from a 5* experience) is that the mixed grill was served with a sheet of grease paper underneath which went soggy and could've been mixed into the food. I'd have preferred this without. They have bottles of Mythos available which is nice and was served in a frosted glass. All told, 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 drinks came to just under £80 and was worth every penny. Will absolutely be back and singing from the rafters about it. Can't believe it's took me this long to visit!

First time coming here and it was amazing. Very friendly staff felt very welcomed. The decor was lovely and felt homely and mediteranian. The food was amazing and good portion sizes; you can tell its all made fresh. We never felt rushed while here and it was a lovely environment to be in. Will definitely be coming back.

Probably one of the best restaurants to enjoy the Greek experience, the food is really nice, staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is just amazing. Beautiful place.

The food was amazing! I had the vegetable skewers and it was presented so well, a good size and tasted delicious. The atmosphere inside was relaxing. Will definitely be returning!

Excellent food ,service, decent portions but thought a few things a bit pricey

Absolutely loved this Greek restaurant – a full 5 stars from me! The service was warm and attentive, the surroundings were beautiful, and the menu had a fantastic range of authentic dishes. The food was bursting with flavor, and the decor really stood out – unique and full of Greek character. A truly atmospheric and memorable dining experience.
Kelsey G — Google review
First time there - The place was very cosy and had an authentic Greek vibe. (Was perfect for our date night) The waiter was warm and friendly, gave us advice on what to try, and made some excellent suggestions. The food was gorgeous, no complaints at all. 100% recommend. Its not crazy expensive but it's not cheap either. 2 starters, dip with pita, 2 mains, 1 cocktail, 1 gin, and 2 beers - £107 x

Fish & chips restaurant
Fish and chips takeaway
Steak house
Chesters is a popular eatery known for its award-winning fish and chips, earning accolades such as Restaurant of the Year by the Derbyshire Times. The restaurant also offers a variety of options including burgers, vegetarian dishes, and jacket potatoes. In addition to their classic chippy menu, Chesters provides a relaxed dining experience with the option for takeaway.
First time visiting after pre booking earlier in the week. We was promptly seated, the table service was friendly, polite & efficient, nice atmosphere, clean & tidy. We had starters (Prawn cocktail & 3 cheeses) & mains (steak & halloumi) the portion sizes were huge! Presented well, hot & tasty. My only negative is that the canned Guinness is not very nice & it wasn't particularly cold / chilled. We enjoyed the visit that much we purchased a gift voucher for a Christmas gift for a family member. Would definitely revisit.
Michelle J — Google review
Had a very filling Chicken Pie, Chips, Mushy Peas and gravy for lunch. The service was really good. The management should commend the young ladies who were serving today. (10th Feb 2025) It is a rare thing to see such politeness from young people these days. Well done!
R. B — Google review
Well, this did not disappoint! Best Fish chips I have ever had and in huge portion sizes, all cooked to perfection! The 2 young ladies serving were lovely and friendly but still professional and deserve credit. The fish was beautiful crispy, the chips were flavoursome and non of it dripping in oil. They even offer gluten free! (I forgot to take pics)
Wes B — Google review
Always our go to chippy. Great that the gluten free options are so readily available every day. The service is great and food cooked fresh. Able to order in advance for collection yo save time.
Adam J — Google review
Honestly, I cannnot believe it! I’m 32 and I’ve never found a chippy that does pints!! The world just became a better place 👏🏼 the chips were golden, fluffy and delicious! The point was outstanding - had a moretti and it was ice cold with a decent head and complimented the chips perfectly! 10/10 chippy - want to visit chesterfield again just for this place
Joanne P — Google review
Fish and chips are outstanding, the best in the area. Kebabs are not great the Donna is tasteless mystry meat (quite sure its not 100% lamb), Chicken donna is dry and inedible. salad a few bits of tired lettuce and some wet cabbage.
Guy J — Google review
Been here on afew occasions when in the area, always been nice and one of my favourite chip shops in Derbyshire. However must say the chips were awful on my recent visit, literally rock hard and having paid £30 for very few items expected much better quality of food.
G C — Google review
First time at this place and it's amazing. Reasonable price and the food is very very good. I went with my wife and her parents and everybody really enjoyed it. Will go back very soon.

I went here today with my mum. The best quiche and slaw EVER. Crumbly pastry, tasty quiche, but the slaw was the best bit. Pomegranate, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, shredded cabbage and a zesty salad dressing. Yummy!! Fabulous service by everyone. Thank you so much! ❤️😀

We wanted brunch on the way home to Nottingham after a gig and stopover in Sheffield. This came up with good reviews and we were not disappointed. We just missed breakfast so were told there was a 10 minute wait for the lunch menu. Ordered drinks which arrived quickly and the server came to us straight away as soon as lunch started to take our order for food. I had mushrooms on sourdough toast with garlic yoghurt, dukka and a poached egg. This was so tasty, the poached egg cooked perfectly and fragrant and tasty mushrooms and dukka. My daughter had Caesar salad which again was so tasty and a perfect poached egg and charred lettuce which just accentuated the flavours. A great experience, nice decor and the staff were all friendly and attentive, we couldn't have asked for more, and although a way to travel we will be back. Thank you.
Diane R — Google review
It is my 2nd time here and I enjoyed everything from the design of the interior to the food. It is an experience I would repeat consistently if I were to live in Chesterfield or anywhere close to it. The food is delicious, the staff is very attentive and responsive to the customer. I don’t remember what we had last time, I think it was something from the breakfast menu, wasn’t impressed with that, but this time I had B&T Caesar salad and my partner had Croque monsieur. We both enjoyed our food and would wholeheartedly recommend it 🤗☀️
Cristina C — Google review
Visited this morning with a friend and had such a lovely experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was fantastic – the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale were perfectly done, and the coffee was spot on. A great start to the day!

Very very good breakfast. Can’t fault any of it, very good quality and price! Great menu choice and the actual place is really nice too. This breakfast does come with mushrooms but I don’t eat them so had them took off

We had a vegan full English breakfast and it was delicious. Lots of good portions for all the veg which was lovely! The service was great and overall the experience was nice.

Really recommend visiting Bottle and Thyme. We visited for the first time today. The staff were all really smiley and gave a great service. The food was unbelievably nice, worth every penny. We got served really quickly aswell! Food came 10 mins after we ordered and was fresh and hot. The decor is minimalistic and classy. Love it here and can’t wait to come again!
Daisy W — Google review
Stunning place, can’t recommend enough. We went for the midweek social which was an absolute steal for what we had. Food was great portions for tapas style, and everything comes out at once which I loved. Food not only looked great but tasted amazing with the stand out being the arancini and Korean cauli. Service was amazing, cocktails were also perfect and it had a lovely vibe to the restaurant. Perfect for date night or with your friends. 10/10 👌

Sicilian restaurant
Italian restaurant
Nestled conveniently between the Casa hotel and Chesterfield's town center, Sicily Restaurant Chesterfield is a delightful Italian eatery that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This family-run establishment celebrates its Sicilian heritage through a menu brimming with authentic dishes, all served in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant boasts an inviting outdoor terrace where you can savor your favorite pizza or pasta while basking in the sunshine—truly an al fresco dining experience reminiscent of Italy!
A hidden little gem of a place ... We've driven past this place many a times on our way to town - not thinking much of it.. it's a shame we didn't try it sooner! Food: Fantastically tasty food, which was prompt and well presented. On the first visit, there was a substitute on my tagliatelle - but this is because it's all made fresh that day and we arrived one hour before closing. Tried a few different starters/sharing plates, both were beautiful and (as much as I know) tasted authentic. Each following visit has been equally beautiful food. Service: First time, we arrived an hour before closing (cause... Yolo and we were hungry) and they were still very welcoming and accommodating. We still weren't rushed to order out food, even with the time. Everyone was friendly, polite and helpful. On following visits, everyone has been beyond lovely on each visit ... Atmosphere: Decorated with little touches of Sicily - it has a nice ambience for the type of food and cuisine served. It can get a little loud, with the size of the room, but nothing to stop you visiting this beautiful little gem. Would definitely recommend and will continue to return.
Adam J — Google review
An excellent find! We were visiting the area & showed up without a booking on a Saturday night, they were fairly busy but happy to accommodate us. Delicious food and great, friendly service. Can't fault them.
Louise C — Google review
We came in on a Tuesday evening for a family meal and thought it would be quiet because it was mid-week but this place is clearly very popular and rightly so! It’s the first time we’d tried it after hearing great things and we were blown away by the service, quality of food, decor … just everything was lovely. It’s so hard to find places offering authentic and good quality Italian dishes. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection. We tried pizzas, the mushroom ravioli and had the BEST Arancini! This place is perfect for occasions, family meals or a romantic date. If anyone asks for a recommendation for an Italian this would be my no.1
Julia G — Google review
Stunning food and service. We visited for our sons 10th birthday and the girls really made him feel special! Such a special place, we love it here. The passion and love for Sicily really shines through.
Hannah L — Google review
Sicily was recommended and I wasn't disappointed. The food was amazing, I had the sea bass, and the staff were lovely. A little expensive but definitely worth it for a treat.
Elizabeth F — Google review
Hands down the best restaurant around here. Awesome authentic Italian food. Lovely staff (very forgiving of my shonky Italian) Even the coffee was great. My tip: they're Sicilian so leave space for dessert.

Best Italian in the area by a long shot. Food and service was outstanding. Very good variety of food and drinks on the menu along with a specials board as well. Staff couldn't do more for you and our a credit to the restaurant. Look forward to returning.

Me and my partner have been here a few times now and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The food is absolutely incredible, the staff are so attentive and can't do enough for you, even when they're busy. The atmosphere is lovely and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. This is definitely going to be our new favourite restaurant.
Samantha C — Google review
Been to plenty of Italian restaurants and this is certainly one of the finest and most authentic. Service was first class, Antonio I believe his name was, he was very attentive without being overbearing. He was very kind and memorable. Food was clearly made with high quality ingredients that represented Italy in its finest form, food was fairly priced compared to the top quality we received. Wine was cold, which seems like a normal thing but sometimes it can come warm, not in this case, perfect temperature. Atmosphere was really nice, it's not often I feel the need to take photos of the decor and surrounding areas but this place was truly unique and eye catching, whilst being very home like. Perfect balance. Overall I am very impressed and if I return to Chesterfield again I will surely visit this spot. Please give it a go, Antonio truly deserves all the business. Highly recommend.

Lombardi’s is hands-down the best Italian restaurant in Chesterfield! From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely incredible – you can tell everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients. The pasta was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, and the pizza had that authentic, wood-fired taste you just can’t find anywhere else. The service was outstanding – attentive without being intrusive – and the team really made the whole experience special. We also loved the wine selection, which paired beautifully with our meals. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual dinner or celebrating something special, Lombardi’s delivers every single time. A true gem in Chesterfield – we can’t wait to come back!

Highly recommended, came here for my wife’s birthday with my son, although the restaurant was full with people waiting for tables, staff where friendly, attentive and got us to our table shortly after our reservation. Food came out in a reasonable time, well sized portions and competitively priced. Will be coming again.

Brilliant on a Tuesday night for a catch up with old work colleagues we'd travelled from all over, it was busy too which is a rarity where I live.... But great night had by 8 of us felt really welcomed, the guy who served us also played a mean guitar and serenade a couple in the corner... Ambience the huge pizza oven the decor the staff just all top notch the food was to die for, i had salmon just incredible and calamari starter, perfecto it was just brilliant, chefs amazing did all the food proud, just top notch... I'll be there again if in the vicinity no issues. Hopefully take my wife ❤️🐙

I had the Quattro Stagioni pizza, which was quite fluffy and soft and lacked a bit of crunch for me. To me prices at Lombardi's are exorbitant for a dish like pizza.

Cocina Restaurant at Casa Hotel is an award-winning, two-rosette dining venue that offers a fusion of British cuisine with a Spanish influence. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to create delectable dishes. From Chorizo and Smoked Bacon & Cheddar croquettes to signature main courses and grilled options like steak or burgers, the menu promises a delightful culinary experience.
What a treat!! The restaurant is super cosy and elegant, a really nice venue for a treat or a special occasion. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, especially the steaks which were juicy and melt-in-the-mouth. The only comment I have is that some of the desserts feel a little over-priced for what they are. At Cocina, their meat is cooked in a Josper Grill, which imparts a smokey flavour, resulting in tender, juicy, and fragrant meat. They use the finest cuts of meat including home reared Belted Galloway rare breed cattle from their very own Walton Lodge Farm Estate. The other meals offered on the menu also use the finest, freshly sourced ingredients. OFFERS ⚠️ Monday – Friday £25pp for 4 Tapas dishes OR one Tapas dish and Main/Steak meal from a selected menu OR 2 for £25 on some selected main meals. Steak Sensation for Two for £75 – Available exclusively on Friday and Saturday evenings, which includes 16oz Walton Lodge Chef’s Choice Sharing Steak, choice of two sides and a bottle of house wine, red or white. We enjoyed; Tapas (price range £7 – £11/£17 for scallops); Smokey Padron Peppers, Crispy Calamari, Gambas Pil Pil 10oz Rib Eye (£28), medium rare, with triple-cooked chips, roquette leaves, grated aged Manchego cheese, and smoked paprika roasted vine tomato + wild mushroom sauce (+£4) 10oz Sirloin Steak (£32), medium rare, with the above sides + peppercorn sauce (+£4) Spiced Apple Tarte Tatin with Tonka bean ice cream (£9) Affogato with Shanky’s Whip whisky liqueur (£9) We also enjoyed a lovely Rioja that went well with the food We had such a lovely meal in this restaurant, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone that enjoys tapas and steaks as the food was exceptional, in a gorgeous setting. 💷 Spend: Approx. £30-£40pp for a main/tapas dishes and drink ⏰ Open Hours: Monday to Saturday 6pm – 9:30pm 🚗 Parking info: Free parking at the hotel for customers

Cocina Restaurant at Casa Hotel – Fantastic Food & Service! Had a brilliant meal at Cocina - from start to finish, the service was great. The staff were attentive, making sure we were well looked after the entire time, which really made the evening feel special. We sat in a lovely booth, which was cosy and comfortable, and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant was just spot on - warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed but high-quality dining experience. The open kitchen was a great touch too - loved being able to watch the chefs in action, working their magic. Now, onto the food… ace! Every dish was full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The scallop dish was and so was the steak. The peppercorn sauce could’ve been more peppercornery! The team also gave brilliant drink recommendations - whether it was wines, gins, or cocktails, they knew exactly what would pair well with the meal. A massive thank you to everyone at Cocina for a lovely experience - can’t wait to come back again soon! Thanks a bunch x

Oh dear. What a terrible meal in the Cocina Restaurant at the Casa hotel. The best thing I can write about it is the staff were very good. I am surprised at the 4.6 average reviews after my meal. To start, I paid £11 for a Gambas Pil Pil. It arrived with six averaged sized prawns, so approx £2 per prawn. The pil pil contained no garlic whatsoever but large amounts of chili. the others on the table who had the same reported the identical issue. It was very poor indeed. For main, (pictured) I asked for a medium rare Ribeye and the steak was served medium. It was lacking flavour somewhat but the accompanying lettuce, chips and tomato was okay but I had paid £28 for this so expected it to be much better. I did wonder if they had given me the rump steak instead but surely a professional kitchen cannot get this wrong? After the meal, a person who was with our table and ordered the ribeye said, unprompted, that the steak he was served was rump so maybe I was right. No person at the table had ordered rump steak. The cheese board was £12, decent overall but again the wrong cheese to the one we ordered. After saying something, we received the we cheese. Overall impression? They failed to get any course of the meal right after spending £51 I felt they had left themselves down.

Fabulous place to eat - drinks rather expensive but that is to be expected - the Tapas option is clever so we used that as a starter - very good indeed. I ordered the “burger” (cooked through as requested). It was excellent and I would go as far as saying the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere (if you can wax lyrical about a burger 😜) - however, my wife ordered fish from the specials menu - it was seriously undercooked. We sent it back and the problem was resolved (even though the staff told us that was how the fish should be cooked - or not cooked😜). This all meant that our main courses were eaten separately. We went out to eat together, sadly not in this case hence a lost star.

A group of 4 of us went to ABBA tribute night recently, we had a 3 course meal and show, we stayed the night and ordered hot chocolates and mozzarella herb pizzas on room service. The breakfasts were fantastic, lots of options, everything was incredible! The staff are amazing, attentive and professional. We will be visiting again

The steak was really good. The breakfast was even better. San Miguel was tasty.

A quiet restaurant which has a formal atmosphere. Service was good with the friendly staff. Nice to see the open kitchen working from where we were sat. The others in my group of 4 enjoyed the food but found it not that special, whilst my dishes (which I have posted photos for) were some of the best I have ever had.

Afat's Grill is a Turkish restaurant located in Whittington Moor, offering a variety of South East Anatolian dishes. The menu includes hot and cold options such as fish, beef, and vegetarian dishes, along with traditional desserts like Keskul and Baklava.
I cannot recommend this Turkish restaurant enough! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and impeccable service. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors that truly transported us to Turkey. Every dish was perfectly prepared, from the tender grilled meats to the flavorful sides and dips. The restaurant itself was spotless, which immediately added to the comfort of our experience. The ambience was perfect—cosy yet lively, with an atmosphere that set the tone for a wonderful evening. What truly set this place apart, though, was how they went above and beyond to make my daughter's birthday extra special. They surprised her with a delightful birthday song and treated her like royalty, making it a moment she’ll never forget. If you’re looking for incredible food, a welcoming environment, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

Me and my partner went here after driving past it for years! Finally, on a baby free night we decided to try it and I do not regret going at all! We didn't book as it was a very last minute decision, but the manager was very accommodating, even getting a spare table from outside, the free bread and olives was great, but my god, the lamb chops I had were phenomenal! It has ruined lamb for me anywhere else, as I don't believe I'll taste anything so good again! I can highly recommend eating here.

Excellent quality charcoal grilled meats, lovely salad and rice. Sauces added so much flavour. Best Turkish I’ve ever tried by a massively big margin. The restaurant had a spacious layout which added a lot to the experience, I hate being hemmed in.

Lovely meal for a birthday. Service was great. Lovely professional staff. Mix grill Turkish style was awesome 👌 I would definitely come again. Lovely Turkish restaurant. Give ut a go!! Thanks for making us happy and satisfied 😋

Wow… some of the best Turkish food I’ve had in Sheffield/Chesterfield. Complimentary bread and olives which were so tasty. We asked for a starter selection of bread and dips and we were not disappointed. I opted for the Adana main which is a minced lamb kebab, with rice, bread and salad - it’s a big menu so if you’re stuck and you like Lamb.. go for it you won’t regret it! Attentive service, very friendly staff and the venue is good too. I will be back here. Worked out at £145 for four of us with starters, mains, a bottle of wine and a few beers so pretty good value.

Cold breakfast plates and watered down baked beans. Imagine baked beans with orange juice as sauce! That’s how watered down the beans are in this restaurant. Having cold plates is unforgivable with breakfast because it’s basically cold within minutes of putting it on the plate . Bananas were old and brown and hash browns were swimming in fat and stuck together. Good selection of spreads and jams and staff were friendly and accommodating. I think that £11 for breakfast is ok but unforgivable to water down the beans as it ruined the experience. Even to drain the runny sauce off the beans would actually leave you with almost white beans with no colour. Shame on whoever’s department that was . I would in future check the cooking standards before booking food here as there is lots of other breakfast options available in the area .

Typical Brewers Fayre chain, same decor and layout as virtually all the others you go to. Fairly large carpark off a very nasty traffic island - depending on the way you come around, you need to be very careful. Food fresh and a decent amount. Prices as you expect, but can nearly always find a discount to make it cheaper. Drinks normal pub prices (fairly expensive) not a massive choice but they actually had a decent pint of Worthington bitter, but not much choice of draft cider... Quick service, friendly enough staff.
Brian M — Google review
A standard Brewer's Fayre with a reasonable choice of starters and mains, including burgers, pies etc though vegetarian selection is very limited. Having said that, the vegetarian burger was very tasty. Skin-on fries were also very good. Smothered Chicken was rather sloppy looking in presentation but was deemed nice. The chicken and pulled ham pie was described as delicious. Staff were very friendly and food was served quickly.

Came here on a Friday teatime had the surf and turf... Absolutely awful The chips were French fries and even they were done to a crisp!! the steak was paper thin.. I asked for it to be medium. It was well done and as dry as a bone... Took me all my time to chew it, and I've got a good full set of Nashers... Ordered a Knickerbocker ice cream for afters... It was dripping down the sides while the waitress was carrying it across so I was left with a drink.... never again

Nice place to eat and with the kids, nice meals and unlimited refills on soft drinks which is very ideal when you have young ones. Updated August 2023: Fantastic service, a party member has a good allergy and they was very assuring that their meal would be cooked separate from the rest and away from the allergy food. They shown us the food allergy data too so we could avoid certain foods. A great service.
InnerRock 5 — Google review
The food is good value and good quality but choices are limited especially for those with allergies. You may have to wait a while to be seated. The tables aren't very discrete. Once seated delivery service is good but orders are made at the bar.
Chris — Google review
Don’t bother. Hairs in the food. One of us served a £15 Korean chicken burger with no sauce or lettuce just a plain bun and a peace of chicken in . Both Curry’s had hairs in. Flys all over the place. Make your own hot chocolate. Staff can’t be arsed. Sad, use to be a nice place!

Nestled on Chatsworth Road, Nonnas Chesterfield is a delightful spot that embodies the essence of contemporary Italian dining. With its chic ambiance featuring exposed brickwork and plush leather seating, this restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. Whether you're enjoying a casual lunch or an intimate dinner date, Nonnas serves up wholesome Italian hospitality every day.
This place is awesome. We attended a christening party here which was supposed to be just the afternoon, but continued into the evening and these guys could not have been more hospitable. We had some dietary requirements in the party including vegan and gluten free combined, this was not a problem at all. The chef came out and spoke to us and his knowledge and understanding of the situation was very evident and really put us at ease. The staff were excellent, very friendly and really helped entertain the kids by involving them in the service. I was so impressed and really grateful for an excellent afternoon out where we felt at home.

The menu is wonderful, plenty of gf options. We’ve been here many times, for a romantic dinner, lunch with friends, family brunch & a large party (family wedding). We always have a wonderful time. The food is consistently delicious. Very good gf options. The service excellent. Their Red Merlot is gorgeous! Great decor too. It’s definitely our favourite go to place what ever the occasion.

Lovely classy decor and appreciate establishments like this as part of the gentrification of Chesterfield. Service was excellent, attentive and made our birthday party feel welcomed. Food - can't say for the other dishes but the my squid ink spaghetti, although tasty, for the price really should have added proper prawns and not just shrimp, tad stingy on the panchetta and could be a little more generous on the portion size.

Visited here recently with 2 friends, actually my first time at this branch of Nonnas. A well known and established restaurant business in Sheffield and Chesterfield. Italian cuisine with a modern twist. My Friend and I tried the Salmon with vegetables whilst our other Friend had the Spaghetti with spices added especially by the chef. Accompanied by extra vegetables included a sauteed Asparagus which was amazing. Definitely high standard cuisine but with normal and not over the top prices. Well worth the visit and will definitely visit again.

Went for date night and it was lovely. Parking is for two hours free so when you arrive make sure you input your vrn. If you go over this time you will then need to pay outside on the machine. The staff were really helpful, friendly and professional. The food was delicious. We both had the mushroom bruschetta to start, I had the rigatoni pasta, with olives and anchovies it was lush! I am a meat eater but I didn’t miss the meat at all. Pudding was chocolate brownie as we usually have the tiramisu. I’d recommend either as they were delicious! The portions are good too. 10/10

Giorgio's Italian offers a contemporary twist on traditional Italian dishes in a relaxed and rustic atmosphere. The menu features pizza, pasta, and other Italian classics made from locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant also boasts an intricately crafted wine selection. Visitors can enjoy well-seasoned dishes and charming settings for lunch or dinner. With its two-for-one pizza/pasta night, Giorgio's is a great spot to gather with friends for a buzzing and lively evening.
Lovely meal, we had garlic bread with cheese and tomatoes as a starter (it's definitely a starter to share). I had the pancetta and chicken pasta as a main and the Panna cotta for dessert. Staff were nice and it was a lovely atmosphere. Felt very safe eating there. Would go again.
Abigail F — Google review
The restaurant was well lit and nicely presented from the outside. Unfortunately not welcomed much since it was a busy night. We had to shuffle through the madness and await seating which is fine. We was placed right near the pizza oven which was nice to see freshly baked pizza, but unfortunately VERY cold! Like I was in Italian Alps and not a restaurant. We did not get asked about drinks or food for 22 minutes. We did indicate that my wife was gluten free but somehow she did not alert us that the chocolate fondant was NOT gluten free luckily my wife questioned it. Therefore the female chef doing Pizzas had intervened and offered chocolate brownie. The starters was amazing and truly felt authentic taste with great flavours. The mains were beautiful with lovely sauce. The desserts were gorgeous with such chocolate aura, it was nice and rich, with ice cream to smooth it down. The food without a doubt is super tasty without a doubt. Alot of the service needed we had to call out which makes it difficult in busy days. Simple things like we asked for water so they gave a jug but no glasses, when I wanted to pay the bill, I wanted to pay by card and I asked do I need to go to the bar or pay where I am. I was asked it can be brought to me if I wanted. As a restaurant just needs a little thought of let's make the customers comfortable and just bring the card machine to them. I know service charge is optional but you feel bad for staff working hard to deny them. The toilets were colder than the restaurant but let's see. I will becoming back to see what the food tastes like again.
Iftekhar C — Google review
I'm not sure why it is like a fine dine restaurant. I wish there were negative reviews to give. Firstly, a restaurant like this the service is appalling. You need to keep calling the waiter. Which is not a big issue. But when your restaurant is only 30% full, how does it take 15 minutes to bring drinks and 50 minutes to bring your food. It looked like all staff were very lethargic. The worst part was the menu. When your dish says 'Gnocchi Al Pesto' and the description says it's made with Pesto sauce, you would expect to have a Pesto taste in your dish. But the dish came with tangy tomato sauce, which tasted nothing close to Pesto. When mentioning to the manager, she was adamant that the menu mentions Tomato, so Pesto sauce is mixed with tomato. It doesn't make up to your taste, but they never had complaints. I explained that your dish name and description mention Pesto and Pesto sauce. So, as any normal customer, i ordered a dish thinking to be tasting like Pesto. But she was adamant that they couldn't really do anything regarding it and won't replace the meal and would charge me. Worthless argument and not ready to serve customers. She was pretending as if i had never had a dish containing Pesto or didn't know what it was. She didn't even try to compensate or offer anything to make it. Worst service and experience ever. In the end, I had to take the dish home in a container. Please look at the pictures below what you had given and what exactly the dish should be like. Other food was average and overpriced.

When we came on Monday a few weeks ago, the food was lovely and so was the atmosphere. The girl with the multicoloured hair was lovely, great with drink recommendations and made me laugh, however our experience was very slightly dampened by 2 girls who were working, the girl on the bar was slightly rude and passive agressive, and the ginger girl who delivered our food muttered something under her breath when she walked away, she also threw our food down infront of us hard. very dissapointed that 2 members of the team let our experience down but a big well done to the other two girls (the girl with the multicoloured hair, and the girl with the brown hair) they were absolutely lovely x

Had a great night here with friends, and it was also two for one pizza/pasta night, which was a bonus. We met at 7:00pm, and the place was buzzing, quite noisy and very busy. Despite this, staff were fairly quick to take our order, and bring our drinks. We had a seafood pasta & a four seasons pizza, then yummy profiteroles and classic tiramisu. The food came in good time, and was really good. A great experience and I'd recommend Giorgio's.
Les S — Google review
Always good food and atmosphere. We have 2 vegetarians and a vegan in our party and always manage to find decent dishes to have. The staff are very welcoming.

We've visited Giorgio's from the very start and why I've never left a review I honestly don't know. We always receive a friendly welcome from all the staff, great food, there's an extensive menu and service is excellent. We visit on various days (Except Tues & Wednesday obviously) Half price pasta and pizza is available on Sunday & Monday and with respect it can be very busy on those two days, so patience is a virtue. I can't recommend Giorgio's highly enough, it's one of the best Italian restaurants in Chesterfield. ❤️🇮🇹

Went here today for a baby shower that I had organised 12-3pm we booked the room for. Paid £75 for the room upstairs which is lovely but very tight on space to hold 23 people. £16pp & £17 for gluten free afternoon tea we got 3 different sandwich fillers with hardly anything on the sandwich got about 3 each 1 scone each and a slice of cake. Unlimited tea no coffee or any service for alcoholic drinks … was told we had a male looking after us that would take our drink orders and he never came to ask us if we wanted anything else. Food was brought out dead on 12pm so by the time people sat down to eat it was going hard. Had to stand up multiple times to ask for water for the table and it took ages for them to bring it, dirty cutlery hair found in cake and when we told the staff we just got a sorry no cake brought back to us what we had paid for. Two people from the party didn’t show up and had paid previous and didn’t get money back but I’m glad they didn’t come because there wasn’t enough food for anyone else. By 2pm they was taking all cakes away plates glasses etc not asking if we wanted takeout boxes completely tidying up around us making us all feel extremely uncomfortable and had to leave. Overall experience I wouldn’t recommend at all. Very disappointed with how much it all cost and got nothing from it.

Exceptional! Modern, light and airy with a hint of nostalgia with tea scales and weights and measures displayed in the large windows, my friend and I had a very relaxing few hours sampling the delicious teas and cakes. I had a fruit scone and I can honestly say it was the best scone I’ve ever had - light and fluffy on the inside, with a nice slightly crisp outer to bite into. The buttery flavour was glorious! My friend had a gluten-free mini Easter egg brownie, which she said was equally as delicious. Everything was served on immaculate white china, which is always a winner. Wonderful! Added bonus was the customer parking behind the building. The staff were happy and attentive which helped to created a lovely atmosphere.

They can't be bothered to open for morning coffee or breakfast, they're only interested in the brunch crowd. Made a trip with my partner only to be disappointed. You won't get a second chance! Appalling! EDIT: And now you're making assumptions! The fact is that any cafe/coffee shop worth their salt is open for breakfast and you guys are just aiming for the pretentious crowd like 90% of the businesses on Chatsworth Road. Also, I would have loved to have enquired further with your staff but they were too busy sat down and having their breakfast on the shop floor to care. So, next time you get a justified 1 star review for failing to meet expectations, maybe try the honey before vinegar approach. Now you've just ensured my word of mouth will just spread further

When first entering it's a bewildering experience with all the murals on the stairs going up to the restaurant, and feels like a fever dream nightclub. But as soon as you open the double doors into the restaurant it's like entering another world! The decor is like nothing I've ever seen before, stunningly decorated like a Thai village with water features, and even specialized seating areas. We ordered the mixed platter which came with chicken satay, spring rolls, prawn rolls, prawn toast, onion rings, and Thai style fish cakes, and some crispy rice noodles. Two of everything so perfect for a couple. My favourites were the chicken satay which was juicy, and the fish cakes which were really flavoursome. For my main I had the Hungly Pork Special Curry, and my partner had the lamb shank. The meat was marvelously tender and fell apart just using a fork! The sauce was particularly good too and I had to drink it up after eating all the meat! My partners lamb shank also fell off the bone using just a fork, I tried a bit and it was super delicious too. Price was good too, a meal for two and drinks coming in at just over £50

A gorgeous little hidden gem in chesterfield. The interior design is great and the staff are lovely. You can choose to sit on traditional tables with shoes off or just a standard table. There are plenty of food options and everything we had was lovely. Lots of veggie options. Stairs up to the restaurant (but there is a lift) and starts toilets also. Reasonably priced too and it was a great experience. I'd absolutely come again.

We've been here twice in 3 weeks since we found it due to how impressed we were. Absolutely perfect food, spectacular interior, really relaxed atmosphere and great staff- especially Gae. Cannot recommend enough.

Well, this was a little gem .outside does not to the place any justice .going up the stairs, I felt like turning around and going somewhere else to eat, BUT one the doors and you are transport to a fabulous restaurant the places looks amazing. The food was delicious and so well presented. Staff friendly. Great night out.

large restaurent and menu is ok, no salads such as Som tam etc. And for those who like thai spicy this place seemed super mild, for western taste only sadly..

Came here after long hike Mam Tor - Lose Hill -Castleton. I have been to many Thai restaurants and most of the foods served here were good. Hospitality was second to none. The server(owner himself I think) was very nice guy and provided us very pleasant environment. Definitely will recommend.

Hands down one of the best Thai places iv ever been! The word authentic does not justify how amazing this place is! The food, decor, atmosphere, and owners really take me back from when I visited Thailand. Iv been craving Authentic Thai food ever since I got back to the UK and this really hit the spot! The owners are lovely people and really make you feel at home - with lots of great suggestions! I highly recommend getting the sticky rice and ice cream for desert - the owner was so passionate about this and was really keen for me to try it... And wow it really blew my mind! It was delicious 😋

Pub
Nestled in the charming Shambles, Ye Royal Oak stands as Chesterfield's oldest pub, boasting a rich history that dates back to 1722. This Grade II listed gem is not only the town’s most ancient inn but also one of Derbyshire's historical treasures, with parts of its structure tracing back to the 12th century and brickwork from 1684. While it has been closed for several years, it remains a beloved landmark among locals and visitors alike.
Amazing old pub in the centre of Chesterfield. Recently purchased and sympathetically refurbished by Meg and Patrick. The pub serves top class real ales from across the region and further a field, a great choice of ciders and organic wine. To accompany the great selection of drinks there is a selection freshly baked “Pie minster pies and excellent bar snacks. If you enjoy a good quiz, Patrick hosts a fun, and thought provoking quiz every Tuesday. A newly installed dart board is there for fans of the sport, folk music afternoons on Sundays and a collection of board games to keep customers entertained. We enjoyed a great quiz night enjoying a selection of the real ales.

Just reopened after a long time closed down . Chesterfields most historical pub is well worth a visit. Tucked away in the shambles just to the side of the main market square you will find this Tudor building consisting of two separate bars the main bottom one is now brightly coloured and decorated with pub memorabilia .the new owners are friendly and accommodating,a ample choice of cask, keg, cider and real ales are available.the top bar if you have never been in is a total surprise not clues are given away from the glimpse you get across the bar from the bottom bar .entering to top bar you are faced with a full height exposed Tudor roof a most atmospheric atmosphere.the suit of armour is back the last one disappeared with a previous owner .I haven't tried the food yet but it looks good . It's well worth a look and I wish all the best to the current guardians of this wonderful building.

First time back at this pub in years, recently (April) reopened. the oldest inn in Chesterfield, great service and they had proper cider on too. Well worth a visit.

Chesterfield's oldest pub is back open! A beautiful building with a rich history. The new landlords, Meg & Patrick, have worked magic on this beloved place. Now a free house, they've curated the best cask line up in town. And they say the casks will keep changing. Can't wait to pop back in to try something new! Piminister pies were excellent. Highly recommend 'The Mothership' option. Prices excellent. Staff brilliant. Ales local.

Lovely pub. My partner and I went there. I tried the 'Moo-Milk' which was lovely. Chocolate and Vanilla Stout?? Not something you think would go together but yes loved it. Then we had Pie n mash each. She had the Fungi Chicken which she said didn't have much chicken in it, and I ended up with the Mother ship. I'd added for the Moo Blue but they didn't have that. So it was the Mothership. Lovely pie but scarce amount of mash was the only criticism I could level. Another good big spoonful would have been great but the pie was great. It has mushy peas on top then that was topped with crispy onions...yum!! Lovely atmosphere and the lady serving was nice too.

Went a few wks ago had a pint with no sparkler, oh dear terrible. We are not Southerners we like our beer delivered through a sparkler just tastes twice as nice and gets a good head, not a flat pint of coke lookalike!!! Invest and ask if sparkler is required before serving a flat pint !!!
Outrun ( — Google review
Beer selection and vibe are great. A large selection of proper beers. Unfortunately the Pieminster food was lackluster with a meagre tablespoon of mash. Considering it's just reopened with new owners after a supposed refurbishment the bottom half, especially the loos, could use another refurbish.
James H — Google review
Visited on a Friday evening. So pleased that this old (& I mean very very old) pub is back open. Lovely to have an Abbeydale Moonshine and there were plenty of other drinks to choose from. I think they are doing "pieminister" pies but we didn't have any food. I wish the new proprietors all the very best and long may it remain open!

Tucked away in Chesterfield, the Birdcage at Derby Road is a delightful neighborhood café that welcomes both humans and their furry companions. With its charming outdoor seating, it's a perfect spot for dog owners, complete with cozy beds and refreshing water bowls for pets. Visitors rave about the quality of food, particularly the breakfasts made from fresh ingredients. One couple discovered this hidden gem while waiting for car repairs and were immediately enchanted by its inviting atmosphere and warm service.
The afternoon tea was wonderful, well worth the money and they provided alternatives for my mum who has specific dietary requirements. Our server was lovely, really attentive and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our food and drinks. Highly recommend 🫶

Went this afternoon for a celebration, was absolutely amazing afternoon tea style food. Been here a couple times, which we really enjoyed and decided we must come back. Special mention to Gareth, the chef there who was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure the experience was memorable for us, and the quality and array of food he came up with was so amazing, everything was delicious. He and the whole team made it so special and memorable for us, and particularly for the bride who is getting married in a few weeks. Couldn’t thank everyone more for making the experience so lovely for us all ❤️

Myself and my husband stumbled across this hidden gem while waiting for the car to get abit of self love in the garage. Neither of us had been to the area before and so we decided to just walk and see where we ended up. Well, we ended up here, at the Birdcage and wow are we glad we did. Straight away the outside is so beautiful, we were behind other customers who had just arrived and we were all greeted with such a warm welcome from the lovely lady working that day. We were shown menus and our order was taken. We chose to eat inside as it was abit chilly but outside they have a beautiful seating area with an outdoor TV which I can imagine in sunny weather is a great spot to be. While we waited for our food which was cooked to order and didn't take long at all, we noticed they had board games to play with on the side which is a fab addition especially if you're eating with children. The toilets were so clean with free ladies products which you don't find in many places anymore and my husband was extremely pleased to see that they have Leffe on draught and he can't wait to return to have lunch and a pint as it was his grandad's favourite. Our food was absolutely amazing. I couldn't fault it. The menu was stunning and my husband and I both had eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns because who doesn't love a hash brown. 10/10 and we will certainly be back. Thank you for your hospitality, customer service was wonderful.

Was looking for a country pub but on the way we passed Birdcage it looked good so we stopped for lunch. Omg I'm glad we did we were greeted by a really friendly lady and we ordered a Birdcage Burger and a chicken club sandwich. Both were absolutely fantastic with fresh salad and homemade coleslaw, the burger had a topping of Brie and was the best burger I have ever tasted) apart from my husbands version! Definitely worth a visit and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Called in off chance whilst waiting for an hospital appointment so drove here. It's on the outskirts of Chesterfield but so glad we did. We had a very tasty breakfast 😋. Filippelli's Bistro & Bar offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a charming and amiable owner. Visitors can expect a delightful time and enjoy the delicious cuisine on offer. The homemade garlic peppers are particularly remarkable and highly recommended for those in the area. Whether going for breakfast or any other meal, one can anticipate delectable dishes that are freshly cooked and served hot. The menu provides an excellent variety of food options along with a good selection of beverages.
Called in this morning after work for breakfast after being recommended by a work mate. Possibly the best breakfast in Derbyshire not just for price or amount of food but for the overall quality of the ingredients used. I will be eating at Filipplli's once again. Had breakfast on Christmas Eve. Made a booking via Facebook...venue was more than happy to respond All staff were very attentive, always asking if we were ok and if more water for tea was needed etc. The offer of festive treats after our meal was always very much appreciated...even if too full to even consider!! Opted for the £9.99 standard breakfast with refill of tea or coffee - fantastic value. Very well presented, warm and very tasty - the offer to swap any of the items was also very much appreciated. Good quality sausage used and hash browns were great - would have liked scrambled eggs but I'm sure I would have been able to have this if I would have asked. Good atmosphere all customers seemed to be enjoying themselves and the hospitality offered. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much Filippellis

We went there on a recommendation from the family and who arranged a joint birthday party there on the 2/8/25 All food was ordered in advance because of how many of us there were. As you can tell by the photos everyone fully enjoyed themselves even our 17month old daughter. The food and drinks was excellent! And also had 3 full cakes! Between us. Sure was one of the best parties I have been to especially when it comes to restaurants. All Staff where all very friendly and amazing. My Individal Food reviews are all on the photos. From what we had and could take photos of before it got eaten anyway. Will be definitely going there again. Maybe every year?

What a great cafe! Honestly didn't expect much but was suprised! I had the vegan full English breakfast which was all seasoned lovely and not oily at all. Boyfriend had the burger and the fries were perfectly crispy and soft! The peach iced tea was lovely we had to have another! Boyfriend also scoffed the brownie before I could take a picture but was a lovely lunch very reasonably priced and would love to go again next time I'm in chesterfield. The staff were great as well and kept apologising for the "wait" - I didn't notice any to be honest!

I visited with my friend for coffee and catch up and we were made to feel so welcome. We decided to stay for lunch and the food was tasty and nicely presented. They made my friend’s dog so welcome with treats and fuss, a truly dog friendly place. Although they were very busy when we arrived the tables and chairs were spotless and the team made time to say hello and didn’t rush us with our order. We’ll certainly be back and I would definitely recommend this friendly cafe.

Me and my partner have walked past this cafe on many occasions and remarked on how nice the smell was. Today we actually went in and oh my word! The food is so much nicer than the smell, which I didn't think was possible. We both got a full English breakfsts and large latte's. The coffee was genuinely nicer than some of the more popular chain brands in the area, even if we just pop back in for coffee we will be back soon. Similar with the food, it was the nicest full English I've ever had. I can't put into words how good it was. The ambiance was lovely, the decoration makes it feel comfortable and cozy. A lovely space for a date or a catch up with friends. The staff are so friendly and chatty which added to the warm atmosphere in the shop. I only wish we had known about how nice this coffee shop was ages ago

Turkish restaurant
Istanbul Turkish Meze Bar & BBQ Restaurant is a well-established dining spot with a cozy ambiance and seating for 30. The menu offers authentic and flavorful Turkish dishes, including cold meze for two and chicken specialties in garlic and tomato sauces. The restaurant's new owners have brought in delightful changes to the interior decor, enhancing the overall dining experience. Customers highly recommend this newly opened restaurant for its lovely service, generous portions, and amazing food quality.
Fantastic food with a warm welcome. Service was amazing, waiter was lovely. We had a hot meze to share as a starter which was very good, nice selection. Then we shared a mixed grill and cold meze for main. Very good selection of the menu and cooked very well. And we polished it off with baklava which was amazing. Very light, not the dense bricks you get elsewhere. Would not hesitate to go back.

Went on a Sunday late afternoon it was very quiet, which was good for us. We ordered wine and was recommended the Turkish white wine, it was delicious and not a bad price. We just had bread and a Meze starter (complimentary) it was delicious. Mains My partner had the Instanbul Mixed grill and I had the mixed fish dish (forget the name) Both dishes were delicious really tasty. Service was good, staff were friendly and polite. Our bill was £68, very reasonable prices. Would definitely return

This, I truly believe, is the best restaurant I have been to for many, many years. It has a great atmosphere, the staff are attentive but not overly so, and the food was magnificent. I had a bottled beer that I hadn't tried before, and that was very moreish, then a starter we shared. That was Turkish bread, humour, yoghurt, and a Turkish pickle. I then ordered a Lamb Iskander. This was succulent lamb, no gristle and very tender, with a rich sauce, atop a bed of Turkish bread. It was served with salad and rice with capsicans. My partner had a chicken dish, which had perfectly cooked chicken breasts filled with feta cheese and spinach, again with a very rich sauce. We were then treated by the chef to the most amazing pudding I have ever eaten. Truly, if there is an ambrosia of the gods, this must have been it. Front of house and the chef were all courteous, kind, and understanding. The restaurant is accessible from the ample carpark. Inside is bright but not overly. The lighting is ambience without glare. Please, if you get a chance, try this venue. It was most definitely a value I did not expect. My bill was less than £25 each, and given we di not eat out all the time, it was not, in my opinion, anything but fair.

Went out here tonight for my birthday meal after being highly recommended by my mum. The service was excellent, the waiter was very friendly. They seated us next to a radiator and turned it up for us to make sure we’re comfortable. The food arrived quickly and was amazing. The price is very reasonable for its quality and quantity. I 100% trying this restaurant. It deserves to be a lot busier than it is.

Just been to this restaurant and everything was perfect. Excellent food, friendly service and authentic gentle background music. I had the falafel with flat bread for starter and the moussaka with rice for main. They were both excellent. Unfortunately, as the portions were large and the food too good to leave anything on my plate, I was unable to have a third course. On my next visit I’ll ensure that I am really hungry so that I can also sample the Turkish desserts.

*** NEW POST **** REVISITED due to owners request following previous review, and all I can say is WOW . It was like visiting a different restaurant. The food was out of this world , the flavours were amazing, food piping hot and service fabulous. We would recommend any of the prawn starters or the cheese rolls. Main course the mixed grill, lovely succulent meats very tasty, and the seafood tava was scrumptious. The baklava was heaven on a plate . Also if you fancy a tipple might I recommend a Margarita. Thank you very much for your hospitality, we will be back. 👍👌👍 Have a good Christmas and Happy New Year. ***** OLD POST *****

First time visiting the Istanbul restaurant with family and friends. We were impressed by the variety on on the menu which included items not usually associated with Turkish cuisine (pizza) but put there for kids or the less adventurous eaters. Half of our group of 6 were vegetarian and they loved the wide choice of dishes, and ordered mezze to sample as many as possible. The fish and meat eaters were equally happy with their choices. All the food arrived well presented and hot (where appropriate). The choice of wines was very limited but everyone got the drinks they desired. We will definitely return for more.

Bistro
Dunston Hall Garden Centre is a charming spot that beautifully blends nature, delicious food, and shopping. The Bistro, a cozy café attached to the garden centre, offers a welcoming atmosphere with ample parking. It's an ideal family-friendly location during warmer months thanks to its play facilities for kids. While the service can be a bit slow at times—especially when enjoying outdoor dining—the quality of the food makes it worthwhile. Guests rave about the delightful toast and great coffee served in this picturesque setting.
Very nice garden centre just called in while in the area. Massive range of products all well laid and and the plants all looked healthy and well tended. They have an onsite bistro / cafe which we didn't visit but looked nice. Also well stocked deli with some unusual products. Grounds are very nice and again well maintained. Worth a visit

Lovely garden centre very clean tidy. Plenty to look at. Plants are of great quality. Slightly pricey I thought. Not an awful lot of bedding plants to choose from tho. . Fantastic shop and and cafe plenty of cakes if you want coffee and cake or something off the menu.

Best garden centre in Chesterfield for sure. The new deli and courtyard outside it is beautiful. Just seen they have a tea and cake van where you can sit over the most beautiful garden view now. The bistro is delicious with great staff. Looking forward to going back!

One of the best garden centres we have found. Their plants are extremely good quality, great choice and amazing staff. We needed a tree delivering and although we are out of their delivery area they still brought it through for us, with a smile. It'll now be the centre piece of our garden and we're looking forward to the spring when we can go and find the rest of the much needed planting. The Bistro is also exceptional and comfortable with great food and the staff are absolutely lovely. The photo is of our lovely Acer Armstrong waiting to be planted up at home.

Really nice place, impressive when pulling up to it and well kept grounds also a wedding venue, deli and bistro included however from just the garden centre and deli being experienced I can say it’s worth and visit and the produce in the deli is well worth it but obviously pricey is the only reason I have done a 4 star. Comparing this to places like Wentworth
Thomas C — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous place with a fantastic, garden centre, Farm Shop and Restaurant. The garden centre plants are very good value, all looking healthy, look out for the rescue section where you can grab a bargain. Farm shop has some gorgeous food, not the cheapest but top quality and things that you don’t find in other places, the people that work there are always helpful and friendly, again look out for the bargains. The restaurant is lovely but be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy periods especially on Sunday mornings where it fills up very quickly so I would advise booking. The food is top quality I’d say maybe a bit on the pricier side but equally it’s always gorgeous. Have had a Cheese scones before which was really lovely. Now my 1 negative point to mention and why only a 4 star review, we were warned there might be a wait for the drinks, we had 2 teas and an orange juice but it was just over 40 mins before ours arrived, we had nearly finished our food by then. It appeared to be an issue with not having enough crockery from what I can tell (reason for me thinking it was this was because of waiting staff asking people if they had finished with their crockery, slightly off-putting)and I believe the lady that served us was having a bad day because our drinks were almost thrown at us, the cups still had water in them and were quite badly stained from tea or coffee (see photo). It wouldn’t stop me from visiting again but either not having enough crockery, staff or facilities where the drinks are made (don’t know exactly what the issue was) was disappointing.
Anne-Marie M — Google review
Fantastic garden centre, lovely variety of plants, equipment, pots and most things for the garden. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable always have time to help you out. We called in Tuesday afternoon for a couple of beers and a bite to eat with our dog Maddy, we sat in a vacant booth out back by the brook. Service very friendly and food very tasty and good quality, we had a J (I'm guessing 'J' stands for Junction) Board special, two paninis and dirty fries (£21). I had chicken, chorizo, neopolitan sauce with mozzarella panini, my wife had a Tuna mayo and cheddar cheese panini, both very good, as were the dirty fries. I'm not a coleslaw fan so I asked for it to arrive separately, our request was accommodated. We have eaten here before and will eat here again as the quality is consistently very good...

I popped in for lunch in Friday and sat outdoors in the sun. I ordered the quiche which arrived quickly even though it seemed a busy day. The food was delicious, fresh and well presented. Staff were really helpful and friendly throughout too. I absentmindedly left without my bag and when I called later the staff had kept it safe for me, which was much appreciated. A fab place with great food, service and drinks selection.

We tried this place for the first time today, Chloe served us and straight away we felt calm and relaxed with her pleasant manner and the rustic/modern atmosphere. The food also surpassed expections, the loaded fries was the best we ever tasted and all the ingredients are fresh, it was a party for our tastebuds!!!! We met one of the lovely ladies in the kitchen when we tried finding the disabled toilet for a personal issue where me and my partner needed to be in there together, the lady that worked in the kitchen was extremely helpful and friendly and related to our situation. Overall, amazing food, and amazing friendly staff 💙

I called in on Friday evening with friends. I wanted to compliment the staff on the service they give. It was 1 of the staffs 1st shift, young girl, who took my order of 4 pina coladas. The other staff stood by her and guided the young staff member all the way through how to make them. The togetherness, support the young staff member received was fantastic, and the drink were great!!!

Went here today with my partner for a couple of birthday drinks... The pub itself looks really lovely, however, the drinks selection was abysmal and the live entertainment made me wish I was deaf. We left after one very quick drink

A traditional real ale pub nicely modernised.i received a warm welcome from the staff and even was offered a sample of one of their guest ales even though i had purchased a drink already. Lots of cosy seating and a nice "feel" in the environment. Looking round i could see adverts for a midweek quiz night and a previous camra beer festival. It felt a relaxing place to be. I will definitely return.

Chef Patron Mark Aisthorpe, a regional finalist on the Great British Menu 2022, leads a skilled kitchen brigade that has earned the restaurant three AA Rosettes.
Amazing food, we had the 5 course tasting menu and were so impressed. Friendly warm welcome from staff, the head chef is really nice and knowledgeable regards the food and wine. Will definitely return. The rooms look great and their stay and dine offers will have to be done!

Lovely staff and top notch food. I’m not a foodie at all but I really appreciated the whole dining experience. The room was perfect for what we needed, stayed the night before visiting Chatsworth as it was nearby and good value for money. Clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom. Nice rustic feel with the original woodwork on show. Very much appreciated the visit.

The food was great and the staff were very friendly and professional. It felt high-end without making you feel uncomfortable like some high end restaurants do. The food was amazing, there were flavours I wasn't expecting from some of the dishes. I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend.

My partner and I visited the restaurant for their Sunday lunch menu. Lovely rural surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. Menu was clear and precise. The staff were very attentive and were smartly attired . Exceptionally good food and all aspects of the dining experience with excellent. Hats of the the Chef ( Mark ) and especially a shout out for our waiter Tom ..A must for people love good food and great service

Chef Mark continues to bring surprises that will place a smile on your face. We enjoyed the nine course tasting menu paired with wine and it brought a joy to our dining palates. Bulls Head continues to be on dining experiences when visiting the UK and Mark does not disappoint. Chef and his team demonstrated clearly how they have earned those accolades and we were the beneficiaries of their skills and talents. Thank you for a wonderful evening and dining experience .. now how do I cook that egg to that perfect temperature?

What a delightful evening meal my partner and I enjoyed here. We had the A La Carte menu and the quality and presentation of the food was perfect. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. A perfect experience for our first visit having just moved into the area. We will certainly be making regular visits for more of their great food set in a relaxed and laid back setting.

The restaurant must have been having an off day today. The complimentary bread was tasty, as was the partfait, but my roast sirloin was below average with roast potatoes that were overcooked. We then asked for our tea and coffee to arrive at the same time as my brother-in-law’s dessert. He finished it before the drinks arrived, and they brought the wrong drink. My mother had been waiting to visit this place for a while. It was a shame it wasn’t better.

Free parking outside. A choice of a tasting menu or A la Carte. The latter has an option of two or three courses. The food was tasty, and service was fast and efficient. We even got a few complimentary tasters, too, on the A la Carte menu. Pictures of the menus included. Service charge is not automatically added ! It's worth a visit.

This is now our go to pub on the way home from walking or climbing in the peaks. Cheap, good quality real ale, with a nice selection of mostly local breweries. Friendly staff and locals

Really lovely pub with a good outdoor space and reasonably priced also☺️Only downside is it’s so popular you sometimes can’t get a seat inside on busier days!

I've loved this pub since I was around 14 years old and my mates dad lived next door. Today, a drunken lout was allowed to let me know I was not welcome. Not a very friendly pub, unlike it has been for the 40 years I have been visiting. Shame on you. Shame. Hang your heads down low.

Love the open mic night on Sunday, I've played a couple of times now and it's a great place with a great atmosphere and everyone is equal. The selection of beers is a very easy way to get extremely intoxicated in a couple of pints. Can't fault this place 1 bit and massive love to all the people there

Miss the Neptune and your life will be diminished. This pub is situated amongst a maze of small terraced housed streets and it's better for it. It oozes atmosphere, authenticity and a genuine desire to be a place to enjoy good beer. Undoubtedly modernised from being a long standing working class pub it has managed to retain lots of that character while easing it's way into something to be enjoyed by everyone. The beer garden is a particularly fab space. Go, slow yourself down and immerse yourself in a truly great pub experience. One star for food because I have no idea of they do it.

Came here for a bottomless brunch on a Saturday night. The staff were very attentive and were offering drinks very quickly. It was very loud in this venue when it was full with tables of hen parties etc as it’s not very big but not necessary an issue with the place itself. The music that was playing was good. The food we ate was great too. We were sat at a gaming booth without having to ask as well and no issues with the games console etc. No issues at all and would return

We didn't have a great impression when we arrived and the place was completely shut (booked for 3pm and arrived at 2:55pm) we went elsewhere for a drink whilst ringing and messaging with no answer when they finally answered about 3:20pm we headed over, I can’t fault the staff at all, they kept us topped up regularly but the food was super basic and giving Wetherspoons. The drinks weren’t great, the table was really sticky. In my opinion it’s overpriced for what it is, unfortunately we won’t be back.

First visit to Darwin Bear Chesterfield but won't be the last, such fantastic staff and food/drinks at the Cocktail Brunch was ample. Must say the nailed the customer service "well done to the Dawin Bear Team keep up the good work"
Sue S — Google review
Very poor value for money, when the food eventually arrived (45 minutes late) I was really shocked at the portion sizes. Was really glad I ordered nachos as well otherwise I would have been scratching around in my kitchen cupboards. To say this takeaway should have been £40 without a promotional code is borderline disgusting. I can categorically say I will not be using this establishment again. To summarise food arrived late, therefore was cold which impacted the flavour, the mozzarella sticks were like party cocktail sized and pretty much tasteless. Burrito was stone cold mush with not much ratio filling to tortilla wrap (see photos) worst takeaway I’ve had in long time, I would not recommend.

The staff is great. We enjoyed our time there. The lady understood our wishes for drinks and made them really delicious. Also the place is very clean and has a homely atmosphere. The only downside is the lack of overhead lights in the large hall on the second floor and the TV didn't work. But I'm sure that's something that can be easily fixed

On its opening day, visitors were pleasantly surprised by the availability of cocktails while engaging in fun games like Qwirkle and 'Hey, that's fish.
We love board & bean so much that we’ve become members! The atmosphere is just lovely and chilled, I could spend all day here tbh! Excellent selection of games and the staff have really great recommendations! The food is excellent, especially the crunch wraps! Good selection of food and drink too! Bonus points for being dog friendly! Our friends who are avid board game cafe goers and have been to loads visited and said it’s one of the best there is!

I would definitely recommend and will be visiting again 😊I really loved the concept, the layout was really well done as was the atmosphere. The tables were also really well designed and convenient for playing whilst eating/drinking. The staff were all friendly and seemed to be managing well as it was constantly busy for our duration. It is really nice to see a business in Chesterfield that is popular amongst all ages, and I think this is something that the town has been needing! It was also lovely to see people engaging with one another rather than on their phones. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the food as the chips portion was a lot small than expected. The staff made us aware of a slight delay in our food which we were completely fine with since we were preoccupied with playing games anyway. I understand that it's early days though and can see that a lot of hard work has gone into the cafe so far

Would have loved to have breakfast in this place this morning. Unfortunately the large lady was far too busy chatting to serve. Until I enquired whether the woman she was gossiping with was in the queue or not she would'nt have got behind the counter. Bearing in mind lady was already waiting for service. Terrible first impression won't be trying them again. Smirking at people prompted me doing the place a review. She is not an asset to any business.

We really enjoy coming here a great vegan selection and lots of cakes/pastries but not that many (any) sandwiches or wraps for vegans unfortunately. A great hot & cold drink selection and reasonably priced too. Lots of comfy seats and dog friendly too. Some tables were not cleared/cleaned but only 2 staff on seemed a little curt/stressed at busy times but overall helpful & friendly thank you Jan for chatting to us too. We would come back here for coffee & cake and maybe try using the app to order for a smoother & quicker experience but great app too! *invite but all options given honestly*

Called in for coffee and a cake on a Saturday afternoon. They had a decent selection of coffees and cold drinks available as well as sandwiches and cakes etc. We were served quickly and there was plenty of seating available, most with views out onto the street for good people watching. Overall the cafe appears to have a little more character than the usual Costa or Starbucks. Only slight complaint was the door was very heavy in the accessible toilet which wouldn't be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. There is a dog friendly area for anyone with a four legged friend. The coffee was nice and the brownie was lovely.

Nice coffee shop in the centre of Chesterfield, does get quite busy and often times is a bit messy due to this. Lovely iced coffee though!
Emily M — Google review
Really disappointed with today’s visit to Coffee #1 Chesterfield. The staff were unfriendly, curt and more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers. Nobody seamed to have a clue what was going on with serving customers! When another customer politely asked for a table to be cleared, the response was a very rude “I’m busy.” Tables were left dirty, service was slow, and when food finally arrived it wasn’t great – The sandwich was scalding hot inside even after letting it cool ! Needs a warning ‼️ the pastry order was forgotten, and my chai oat milk coffee was lukewarm/average . The whole atmosphere felt careless and unwelcoming. We normally love Coffee #1, especially the Leek store where the staff are always fantastic, but this branch really lets the brand down. Serious work needed on customer service, quality and attitude towards customers !!

After telling the server 4 times counting in clarification as I was asked again and original order, my matcha was still served with dairy milk instead of oat milk I was so lucky to doubt their competence and confirm again twice before taking a sip (they seemed disorganised or I never would have asked). The server did apologise but blamed her colleague saying ‘she didn’t tell me oat milk’ even though I told them both separately myself during this havoc. Then comes the food which tasted lovely. However, we sat the closest table to the counter and displayed our table number only for the more mature shorter haired lady (who is usually impolite but not this much) TOUCHED my husband on the back and snapped ‘I’ve been shouting for your food for about 3 minutes I’ve been outside and everything’ we said nothing and she said again ‘I’ve been walking up and down with it’. We hadn’t heard her ‘shout’ once until she was telling us off. Won’t be returning unfortunately and I agree with some of these reviews about the staff letting this place down massively as it has great potential.

Chapter Two - The Original French Toast Cafe is a cozy and welcoming spot that offers an exciting menu. The Biscoff French Toast is highly recommended and described as a masterpiece. The menu offers a variety of options, making it difficult to choose just one item. The friendly staff and delicious coffee add to the enjoyable experience. Families also find it to be a perfect treat with beautifully presented, large portioned dishes and accommodating service.
Beautiful cozy little place with a huge menu that would please anyone. They offer sweet and savoury options and have a wonderful selection of cakes. We couldn't resist a piece each to take home for later. I ordered the French toast dusted with icing sugar and my partner ordered the crepes with lemon and sugar paired with a Cappuccino and Mocha. Lip smacking all round! We will certainly be going again very soon! Would highly recommend.

We popped in for breakfast this morning and were so impressed with the quality of the food - it was absolutely perfect! 😍 The cafe itself is really cute, and the owners are lovely and chatty. It was very welcoming, and the service was great. Would 100% recommend the Chapter Two Special (Brie, Bacon and Maple Syrup on French Toast) - incredibly indulgent and more-ish! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely breakfast 😊

Popped in for a coffee and something sweet. Lovely staff, really friendly atmosphere, delicious food. I am planning to keep going back until i will try every item on the menu. Multiple times I guess lol

Lovely environment and the staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive. The food portions are BIG and filling but the french toast was delicious 😋 Highly recommend this little gem in chesterfield when anyone is around.

1st visit to this Cafe ,I actually called in the day before to ask if I could reserve a table for the following day which they kindly arranged. Inside its quite small but its nice & bright with a cosy feel to the place .There's just 8 tables & spacing are a bit tight in places as I had to leave my chair so a lady behind could get out & leave .The WC is a shared usage facility On the menu itself does offer an all day breakfast but is mainly focused on Crepes,Pancakes ,Waffles & French Toast with the same 6 varieties available in each section .Theres Great display of cakes & Cup cakes so ideal if you hav a sweet tooth .Good selection of hot drinks along with alcoholic & soft drink options. It's table service & I found the Staff on duty to be very welcoming, pleasant & helpful during my visit .I did order a special which was pancakes with bacon.brie & maple syrup which was very nice & tasty ,its also available with french toast as an alternative. .Price wise its not the cheapest but I really enjoyed my visit. I would definitely recommend the Chapter two cafe to family & friends, which offers something totally different Cash or card payments are accepted here .

Absolutely wonderful place. We booked as aware that Chapter Two isn't a huge place and there were 5 adults and 2 children. The choice of food and beverages is pretty extensive with something for everyone 😋 All the food was delicious and freshly prepared, the drinks were lovely, especially the milkshakes, which went down a treat. Everywhere was nice and clean. The Gentleman who was there cooking and preparing the food (the owner, I think) was very friendly, we had a chat after our meal. The young lady taking orders, making the hot drinks and serving was lovely and very engaging with my Granddaughter, who helped cleaning a neighbouring table. Overall a lovely little gem of a place, a nice, relaxing atmosphere with no pressure, fabulous food and lovely people.

FANTASTIC PLACE !! Clean, friendly, AMAZING FOOD, lovely staff (seriously good staff !! ) Can’t wait to go again and work my way through the menu !! Bikers (and non bikers) are made so welcome you’ll not want to leave ! Enter as a customer, leave as a friend !

My children and I ate here last week and all 4 of us absolutely loved it. It was a perfect little treat. I had the Croque Monsieur and the kids had crepes and waffles. All the food was beautifully presented, large portions and they happily packed the leftover crepes for us to finish later. The staff were lovely, with efficient, friendly service. We will definitely be back.

The Savvy Baker is a delightful café in Chezzy that offers delectable brownies. Visitors have expressed their delight at finding such a charming spot in the area.
Visited for the first time on Thursday with my 2 year old. Ordered the Pistachio and White Chocolate Latte, and a babycino which we enjoyed so much. Kelsey is a lovely woman and served us really well. Would come back again and will definitely try the cookies and brownie.

The best brownies, drinks and cookies ever! The orange hot choc is the best I’ve ever had! The special drinks for the seasons are really fun. I’ve tried a lot of brownies and cookies in my time and honestly savvy baker ones are hands down the best around! I’m so glad I have the Chesterfield shop on my doorstep, and the staff are always so friendly! Thank you!

Had a lovely visit! Whilst the outside of this cafe is very unassuming (we would have totally missed it if I hadn't glanced in one of the windows!) inside we were met with a delicious assortment of brownies/blondies and drinks. The solo staff member on duty (Sat 15th Feb) was attentive, friendly, helpful and warm, and the seating areas were comfy and welcoming.

Me and my partner have visited many times. Nothing can replace the perfect Matcha or Cappuccino and our ultimate favorite is Raspberry Blondie. Kelsey and Jess are absolutely brilliant every time and spot on creating amazing atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Everyone should visit Savvy Baker in Chesterfield, it’s definitely our favorite!

Beautiful little shop on the outskirts of city centre Chesterfield. I bought 2 boxes of 9 brownies for work while I was waiting for my mot to be done and they went down a storm! They are soft and gooey but not sickly 😍 absolutely delightful, and the young lady behind the counter was lovely....and it's dog friendly!!!!

Delicious Coffee and Brownies. Lovely staff. Very limited seats but luckily it was quiet when we visited. Will definitely call in again.

I LOVE Chesterfield's Savvy Baker! Have only visited twice, but on both occasions the cakes and coffee were really excellent but also importantly the service from the lovely lady working there was amazing. I needed to breastfeed my baby and she made me feel so welcome and at ease feeding there. The lady kindly told me to get my baby sorted and brought my drink over after that. Love it and definitely my new go to place for coffee and treats!

La Dolce Vita Lambarellis is a traditional Italian cafe, pasta bar, restaurant, and takeaway that offers freshly ground coffee, pasta, pizza, and cocktails. Customers have raved about the food quality and service since the new chef took over. The menu has been expanded to include fish, chicken, steaks in addition to pasta and pizza. The restaurant has also extended its opening hours and restored its upstairs dining area for regular use.
Having eaten here several times before, we were not surprised to be served with another amazing offering of the finest food and wine in a beautiful setting. From the friendly Welcome to the post meal Good byes nothing is too much bother. The Quality of what we ordered and ate was nothing short of Amazing. Can't wait until we return next time and Happy 1st Anniversary.

We spent our summer holidays in UK and stopped in Chesterfield for a couple of days. For our last day we went to La Dolce Vita. We had a super friendly warmhearted service and the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was fresh, delightful arranged and super delicious. We will definitely come back.

Me and my partner visited this Italian restaurant in search of the best Italian food in Derbyshire... I think we found it. Greeted by a friendly Italian young lady, we then sat down and our orders were taken by an Albanian waiter who was lovely to talk to. We didn't wait long at all for our food, and we both agree the calzone was the most delicious pizza/calzone we have ever had, ever, anywhere in UK. The gelato was like no other ice cream, the flavour was outstanding, we wish there was more! We will be coming back, hopefully as regulars.

Great find in Chesterfield. Other half fancied Italian and we stumbled on here. For where it is a absolute hidden gem. We had the antipasto started to share, which came with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to add as you want. Couldn't fault the starter. The main was out of this world, rich white brandy sauce chicken. Super rich sauce with the roasted cherry tomatoes which broke the dish up lovely. Would deffinatly return to again with friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇮🇹 La Dolce Vita in Chesterfield is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, just like a classic family-owned Italian ristorante. The presentation of the appetizers was truly artistic and beautiful, each plate looking like a little piece of Italian art. The main course carried the heart of Italy itself: rich, authentic flavours that reminded me of a home-cooked meal straight from an Italian kitchen. Delizioso! The customer service was excellent! attentive without being intrusive, and you could feel the genuine care in every interaction. What made the evening even more special was the friendliness of the guests themselves. We ended up in conversation with other diners, and it felt like being part of one big Italian family gathering. The food quality is outstanding, and for what you get, the value for money is a steal. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo! For locals in Chesterfield, this is the place to experience authentic Italian hospitality and flavour. For anyone scouting investments or simply looking for a restaurant that truly has soul, La Dolce Vita is proof that the Italian spirit of food, family, and friendship is alive and thriving here. Grazie mille to the team for an unforgettable experience, we will definitely be back!
