Bar & grill
The Orange Tree Bar and Grill is a stylish dining spot housed in a Georgian building with a modern glass extension, offering an array of steaks and cocktails. Situated in Stoke-on-Trent, this restaurant has gained acclaim for its attentive staff, welcoming ambiance, and diverse menu options. It's a popular choice for romantic evenings or special celebrations, known particularly for its delectable burgers like the 'dirty burger' featuring blue cheese sauce, jalapenos, and maple bacon.
Our first visit and we were well impressed! Special thank you to Emily and the staff for accommodating the menu for our kids. That's top notch customer service! Love the decor and vibe here. Best of all, the food. Wow! One of the best fish and chips eaten ever. Well done!

Booked a table for my partner’s birthday celebration. Staff is super nice and the food is amazing. We have the onion soup, tempura cauliflower, mixed grill, prawns and bone marrows as sides. The food is amazing and the cocktail is lovely. We ordered the zombie and the dice which you can play with the dice to get the selection of the flavour which is a fantastic snack idea for those who would love to play and struggling to choose❤️.
Chinny T — Google review
Reviewed before, revisited 12 months later and still overrated. Starter went back (belly pork) and £20 for a chicken kebab chucked on a plate with oven chips? Not sure if the chef has wandered but this could be far better. Stoke is a little tough for a finer dining experience, this is… at the end of the day a pub… like I say when it comes to food this is not all that. I think Willow is a tad better but that could improve but is held back by its tiny kitchen! Each to their own. That’s my opinion and that of the 5 guests I took. All felt let down.
Paul S — Google review
Nothing to write home about. Upmarket Cherry Tree Long wait between drink orders. Food was nice enough but you’d expect something with the steak for £28.45 . Paid for accompaniments didn’t arrive until I’d more or less finished my steak . Belly Pork starter at £9.45 wasn’t worth the money either . Recently refurbished so lovely decor etc … suppose you’re paying the extra to look what a nice job the interior designers have made .

We went for a meal out on Father's Day. I've been twice now and it's definitely one of my favourite places to eat at. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food was incredible. You can tell that everyone there definitely have a lot of passion for what they do, as everything was perfectly cooked and presented like a piece of art.
Elliot M — Google review
Whilst service was somewhat slow to begin with, it picked up quickly. Food was phenomenal and the atmosphere is lovely. Very comfortable! Little pricy but the quality is there. Diogo was super helpful, and a fab photographer (thank you again) - was a perfect post festival birthday treat.
Laura B — Google review
The place is very lively and the food is very unique and amazing. I think the menu has something for everyone so it’s definitely one of the best restaurants in Stoke on Trent. I got the King Prawns dish and it was very tasty. The food was also served very quickly and the servers were very friendly.

Newly renovated, great food, great cocktails & fantastic service. I went with butter chicken starter Sea bass pasta main & toffee apple crumble for dessert

Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Stoke-on-Trent, The Slamwich Club is a sandwich haven that has quickly become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. Renowned for its mouthwatering brunch options, this charming eatery offers an impressive selection of stacked grilled sandwiches bursting with flavor. Guests rave about their standout dishes, including the full English breakfast and unique oatcake topped with mushrooms, cheese, and tomatoes—each bite is a delightful experience.
What a great find!! From the get go the staff were attentive and friendly, no rush to order and the service was prompt. The food?....oh my days....everything we ordered was mouthwatering and delicious....seasoned beautifully, hot and fresh! The tempura broccoli was *chef's kiss*. Most definitely a cool little eatery that we will 100% visit again and again!!

We had the best experience. The table was booked in advance and we were greeted as soon as we walked through the door and shown to our table by a very lovely lady who we believe to be Cara. She provided excellent service throughout our visit. She was very informative and was happy to offer alternatives for items not wanted. The menu was very adaptable providing lots of options for meat-eaters and vegetarians. The food was divine! Upon visiting the toilet, I was very surprised to see the range of products available. A life saver! We will 100% be returning and recommending your establishment.
Michelle G — Google review
If you're in Stoke this is the perfect place to enjoy a full filling sandwich! Definitely value for money! The only negative is we went on a quiet afternoon and the staff looked very bored. For example after they pointed us to a table, they asked if we were ready to order before they gave us a menu. Service could be much better however the food was brilliant!
Nathan D — Google review
It was fully booked but they let us sit outside. I had fries, the chicken sandwich with the hash brown and tried the masala mayo. The sandwich was really good and filling. The masala mayo was not bad, quite a subtly spiced sauce. The fries were nice and crispy, perfectly done. The portion was pretty good and I was more than filled. £18 is a bit steep but not unreasonable for what you're getting, could probably skip the hash brown for £2.
Asher — Google review
Food was amazing! Filling and very tasty. We had the Cod sandwich. I would definitely recommend if you like a fish finger sandwich! The waitress squeezed us in, despite having no booking. Great service.
Emma S — Google review
We absolutely love The Slamwich Club! My husband and I always stop here for an early dinner whenever we travel from Nottinghamshire to Stoke-on-Trent to shop for pottery, and it has become a tradition for us. This is our 4th or 5th visit, and every single time has been fantastic. The menu always has such a unique twist, and we really appreciate the thoughtful vegetarian options and swaps, which work perfectly for us as halal meat eaters. The food is consistently delicious, portions are generous, and the vibe of the place is just brilliant. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly, and we often tell them they should branch out into other cities—it would be such a hit! This place is a real hidden gem and a must-stop for us every time. Just wish it was closer to home! These pictures are from our first visit but the portions and quality remain the same.

Superb venue, highly recommend! Great atmosphere, the service was really friendly and the food was absolutely wonderful. 5 stars for me
James D — Google review
Went as a couple, but could totally bring the kids. Lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating, service was speedy but not pushy. Food was super tasty, well presented, large portions and worth every penny. Would have liked a dessert but there just wasn't space after the main! Grown up drinks available, good variety on the menu and something for everyone. Loads of vegan/gluten free options, too.

This traditional pub and steakhouse in Meir, Stoke-on-Trent prides itself on personalized service and quality offerings.
We was all pleasantly surprised. Not been in the saracens for probably over 20 years and the make over has certainly transformed the place . Good selection of drinks - love porreti on draught. Had 3 meals and they were all spot on

Paul and Emma keep an amazing pub and there is always a warm welcome. The food and drink is second to none and there is fun to be found for the whole family. The pub also does so much for the local community and raises so much for those in need. The menu is modern and fresh. The food well cooked and served quickly.
Peter G — Google review
We haven't been to the Saracens Head for a little while and we called in on the off chance today for some lunch. We were initially very impressed by the refurbishment , it was warm comfortable and welcoming. The gentleman that attended to us was very friendly and amendable. The menu was ample and most competitively priced, the food was hot, fresh and delicious. We will most definitely be returning, possibly for one of their evening specials or Sunday Lunch which again seem very reasonably priced. All in all a most enjoyable experience.

What can I say? I'm not normally one for reviews but Emma & Paul who run The saracens Head are absolutely fantastic! Nothing it too much trouble. They work as a fantastic team. They helped to make my sister's wedding the amazing day it was. The food was beautiful hot and on time. All aspects of the night were met with full professional skills. I will be returning here regular. If you have a function to plan here is your place. Paul and Emma. A round of applause is needed for you both no where else could of done it better. Thank you ❤️🌹
Babs R — Google review
Omg, you need to come to Saracens Head. Amazing food, friendly service and amazing atmosphere and this is down to Paul and his team. They know what a pub needs, great drinks and food first and foremost, but then there are quizzes, fun activities such as pig racing, karaoke and live entertainment. There are things for the kids to do such as the bouncy castle outside, charity fun days and Halloween parties in the function room...honestly, don't take my word for it, come and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed!!

Food and service were absolutely amazing. Bar staff and restaurant staff could not do enough for you. Food was top notch and great value for money.

Wow! Hubby and I are both quite local to this place, but even he mentioned that he hadn't been inside this building for over 30 years!! We definitely won't be leaving it that long for the next visit. VERY impressed with the whole visit from start to finish. A lovely warm welcome from Ashleigh, plus she took the time to talk to us at our table. All the staff are very polite and extremely friendly, whilst maintaining a high level of service and professionalism. They all spoke so clearly and concisely... this really does put the visitor at ease, as (subconsciously) you know your meal is going to arrive exactly as you ordered (no misunderstandings/ miscommunications like other food outlets where clarity may not be at the top of the customer service list). Lovely relaxed decor, with a shabby-chic feel. Anyway, superb quality steaks, cooked perfectly. Followed by sticky toffee pudding to absolutely die for. Can't wait to visit again. We'll take our daughter and her fella next time :-)

Italian restaurant
La Bella Napoli is a charming, family-owned Italian restaurant that has recently moved to a prime location in Piccadilly, across from the Regent Theatre. The restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere and serves authentic Italian cuisine, including delectable pizzas. While there may be steep stairs to the first floor and limited parking, visitors can enjoy a delightful dining experience with quality food and excellent service.
Well, it has been years since I visited this restaurant. In fact, the last time I came, it was located along Cheapside. I spoke to the chef explaining that I was vegan and surprise me with a suitable dish. Voilà I wasn't disappointed.
Carol B — Google review
The staff are absolutely fantastic and so friendly, they create such a beautiful atmosphere and the food is just divine. Andy the front of house is so kind and his service and dedication to the restaurant doesn’t go unnoticed with him going above and beyond for his custom. Hands down the best Italian menu I’ve seen locally, they have really captured the best parts of Italian cuisine and compiled it into an easy to read and fair priced menu. Me and my boyfriend are always impressed at the superb quality of the food as it always tastes fresh and well prepared.
Elizabeth H — Google review
The pasta dish was delicious & a good size portion as was the cheesecake & glass of wine. Good value for money. The staff were really pleasant & polite. Would highly recommend eating here.
Sue D — Google review
The food was nice, but portions size could be bigger. My partner stayed hungry 😅 We had starter, main and dessert. Beer is expensive.
Zsuzsanna T — Google review
Booked a table at 5.30, already quite busy. Staff good but poor knowledge. Pesto dish was just basil flavoured cream and very claggy with dry pieces of chicken. Pizza OK but small. Owner rocked up in her huge range rover and plonked it right in front of our view. If it wasn't for the vicky hall or theatre I doubt it'd still be trading. Average age 50-60yrs. Wasted £60. Needs to reduce the huge menu and focus on quality. Once ordered, took 55 mins to arrive.
Helen J — Google review
Visited prior to the theatre and chose off the theatre menu. We pre ordered and still waited over 30/40 mins for the mains to arrive, cutting it fine for the theatre. Steak (which is £7 extra) was served with freezing cold vegetables. Very average food. Overall cost was nearly £200 for 4 adults on a 2 course set menu with non alcoholic drinks?! Very expensive for what we had and no apologies for the cold food. Wouldn’t return unfortunately.
Eleanor G — Google review
When we arrived the restaurant was empty. We waited 1hour and 15 mins for our meal. Every one around d us had starters and main courses and we still hadn’t been served. When I asked to speak to the manager, she was rude and obnoxious. The first thing she said was you have 1.5 hours before the show, the food is freshly made and the restaurant is full. She would not let me get a word in and just kept talking over me. The worst customer relations and service, I have ever come across. She needs a lesson in manners
Barbara T — Google review
On arrival some of the staff were not very friendly was pointed to a table to where to sit, we were freezing it was so cold in there is dis tell one of the staff members and she did say she would put the heating on but took a while to warm up, I asked one of the staff if there was wi fi and she abruptly replied yes but only for staff surely they should share with customers. Meal was average we had the spaghetti meatballs not much taste to it was ok for the price we paid thought we would get better service

Thai restaurant
Art of Siam Thai Cuisine is a must-visit in Newcastle-under-Lyme, offering an elegant and opulent setting with authentic Thai cuisine. The ornate decor and carved furniture create a traditional yet modern ambiance. The restaurant is known for its generous portions and value for money, making it popular among students. For those seeking an even more authentic experience, there's a secret locals menu featuring spicier regional specialties. Mama Suu oversees the kitchen, preparing curry pastes from scratch every morning.
I was there with my family. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. This was my first visit but it will not be the last. The food was really good. The soup came with two different meat, chicken and shrimp but I believe the base of the soup was the same. I enjoyed the soup but chicken was a bit dry. I ordered noodles and two orders coconut rice one egg fried rice both very tasty. The main course ordered , duck, 2 prawns and one chicken dishes but I later realised mum’s dish was chicken as well as mine but suppose to be a prawn dish. I asked, the staff to change mum’s dish. I wasn’t happy with my chicken dish but I had it, duck and prawn dishes were very tasty. We didn’t have any desserts but beer was pretty good be honest. We were full and loved the taste. Thank you Art of Siam I’ll be back !!!

Very nice place to go for a meal. Service was quick and the portions were adequate. A little heavy on the spice for many of the dishes. There was a large party sitting down when we got there but our food came rather quickly.

A very beautifully decorated restaurant, with funny and helpful service. The food was exquisite, truly authentic and delicious. In our table of 4, we all left extremely happy. Highly recommend, and will be returning!

Half-dead roach on the plate!! Just avoid, if you are in, leave now! We were 3 for a business dinner on 23/04/2025. We all ordered roasted tamarind duck for the main. We found a half-dead roach in one of the plates! We got so disgusted that didn't eat the rest and the impact has remained on our appetite and psyche! The manager was so rude. He said "it was on the salad, it shows that our food is organic and no pesticide was used, and we add sauces so the bug is dead!" We complained further and he just exempted rice, main plate, and one beer for one person with the roach on his plate and refused to exempt the table from paying. We strongly think this is the minimum that the restaurant must do plus additional compensation for hurting our business and ruining our palate and an official apology. If you read it, avoid them and I am chasing legal complaint againts this nasty place!

Popped in on a whim for dinner on a Sunday evening after 8pm. They were still open, the reviews looked great, but some customer pictures don’t look appetising. However we were pleasantly surprised, food was great. Staff were attentive, prices was quite reasonable and overall had a lovely evening and would highly recommend. Downside is that it’s on the high street and parking seems really limited, but it was fine for a Sunday evening as it was free street parking 😊

8 of us friends visited here on 01/02/2025 for a "catch up". We had an evening meal, then returned the following day for a Sunday Roast. The food was excellent, big portions with great attention to detail. Very reasonable prices also. Owners Paul & Shaz, as well as all of the Staff were amazing, they were warm & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Even their Dog was friendly. I would highly recommend attending this hidden gem. Nestled in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent, The Milehouse is a stylish steakhouse that elevates the traditional pub experience to new heights. With its elegant ambiance and friendly vibe, this establishment has become a local favorite for those seeking premium cuts of aged beef and expertly crafted cocktails. The menu features an array of delightful dishes, including handmade pies and beetroot gnocchi, but it’s their signature beef-dripping steak burger that truly steals the show.
I came here with my friends this week to celebrate my graduation and we had the best time. Firstly, the bar team were friendly and accommodating when my friend requested a cocktail that was not on the menu. Secondly, Lucas was lovely and had helped my Nan sort out a gift card for us! Then for the meal, Grace our server was the perfect balance of attentive without being intrusive. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and our experience at this restaurant. Thank you to the whole team for making a special day even better!

Large and spacious. We took a table near the door as it was hot in the restaurant. Service was good and the waiting member who served us was welcoming, friendly and caring. However, we found broken glass on the table and on a chair, and a dead blue bottle fly on the floor beneath the table. We probably should have left. The food was average in general although the fries were good. Indeed the fries were probably the standout dish. I had the beetroot salad which I returned because the salad looked wilted and, really, if I'm paying £15 it has better consist of something a bit nicer than wilted salad, cubes of beetroot and feta with balsamic vinegar. My son had the pie and a side of Mac and cheese. My Granddaughter had Mac and cheese and fries, and my daughter in law had beef brisket. The pie was decent. The brisket was nice although my daughter in law did suffer with an upset tummy later. I was treating my family to a late lunch and this was not good enough for me to return.

Looking forward to going back. Food is excellent and the menu has a great variety for all tastes. The cocktails are especially excellent, I can highly recommend the cherry daiquiris!!! Such good value for money in such a gorgeous setting and atmosphere. The staff are something special. They make you so welcome, friendly and want you to enjoy your evening. It really is a must to visit there.

Been to the Milehouse several times now, with really good experience the first few times. Last night however, was completely different. Whilst the server was friendly, there was a good wait for the drinks, then a further decent amount of time for the starters. My starter came out a touch over-done, any further and it would have been black. During the mains I could have done with having a steak knife, or at least something shaper, and part of mine was over-done, yet again. My Wife's duck was undercooked, only to be told "thats how it should be" (different server), whilst it should be a little pink, it was pretty much raw in the middle. After a little convincing he took it back. It wasn't busy there so I don't understand how it could've gone wrong.

We love the Milehouse, visited the last two Saturdays for an evening meal. The food is lovely and the Service was exceptional. On our last visit Saturday 26th September a member of our party had a medical emergency that required an Ambulance. The Managers and staff were so helpful asking what they could do to help and if everyone else in our party needed anything. They went above and beyond, were mindful of the situation and we were so grateful! We cannot thank you and your team enough!! Thank you!! We will definitely be back again. Jenny

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was delicious, I had the satay chicken salad and the chicken was really juicy. My husband had the burger with mac n’cheese also great. The mac n’ cheese was very creamy and one of the best I have tried. Our server was Maddie and she really made our visit.

Service staff were lovely. Food was lovely and got a lot for your money. We found the food slightly over salted therefore mentionable, but not enough to affect the score. The venue was clean and drinks were delicious.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! From the minute we walked in everything was outstanding - staff, service, food and decor. Libby and Grace were brilliant - nothing was too much trouble. We live in Manchester but if this place was near me we would definitely be regular visitors. Well done to the whole team ⭐️

Whether you're craving savory Chinese classics or exploring new flavors, Bon Pan Asian caters to every palate with its diverse offerings. My new favorite place to eat! I've been to many places around the world and many all-you-can-eat buffets, but this one is my #1 so far! My previous favorite place was a Brazilian grill restaurant in Cozumel Mexico, which is almost as good. The food selection, the service, the interior, everything is great!
Nikolay T — Google review
We arrived just before they opened at 5pm so had to queue. Be prepared that this place does get very busy, especially in the school holidays so I'd advise to book a table. We didn't book this time but managed to get in. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and inviting and stayed that way for the whole night. The young staff that clear tables never stop and are tentive to your needs with nothing being to much trouble. The food has improved a lot I feel since the last time I visited, with dishes actually tasting of what they should and not just a generic flavour with a different colour. My overall opinion is it's not the best quality food but, everyone knows that. It is a good night out with the family though and for a set price, ain't that bad. I would visit again.

We had a fantastic dining experience! The live teppanyaki grill was a highlight, and my partner loved the fresh pizzas. It’s a great spot for dinner, and we’ll definitely be returning soon. The only downside was that the desserts were a bit too sweet for our taste.
Denise C — Google review
A large variety of foods including teppenyaki - which is by far my favourite - king prawns, squid, chicken, gyoza's, along with udon noodles, pak choi, mushrooms and more! There's a large variety of desserts too, such as cakes, sweets, fruit, ice cream, and more. My only criticism is that some of the staff members weren't too friendly, struggling to crack a smile, no matter how much I thanked them and smiled. They were, however, rather attentive with clearing plates etc.

Extremely Disappointing Experience I had a really bad experience at Bon Pan Asian and feel let down, especially considering how much I was looking forward to it. The buffet looked decent at first glance, but most of the food was either cold or clearly had been sitting out for too long. Dishes that were supposed to be hot were lukewarm at best, and nothing tasted fresh. To make matters worse, not long after eating there, I felt really unwell. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but I definitely regret eating there. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant to serve food that might make people sick. I expected a variety of fresh, tasty Asian cuisine, but what I got was far from that. Overall, it was a disappointing, uncomfortable, and unpleasant experience. I won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Danielle B — Google review
Busy and nice buffet with plenty food options. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Better to be booked your table before arrive. Food was good but some areas it’s took long time to refill. If you think drink is expensive you might ask for tap water and it’s free. Kids friendly and have good clean toilet facilities. St Johns car park is the nearby parking area. I wish the receptionist lady could be more joyful.

My visit to this restaurant was not planned but I had the time of my life while eating 😂. I like trying out new food and this restaurant gave me a good taste of Asian food . If you’re thinking of going to this place for aesthetic purposes you’ve gone to the wrong place because it is an eat to you drop kind of thing. It’s a little bit rowdy because lots of people come here and they have to clear tables immediately cause customers troop in every minute. I went with someone and because it was a weekday we paid 38pounds for two persons but on weekends it’s 20pounds per person which I think it’s reasonable for what you’re getting. Asides the food, drinks are not included in that price though which I don’t understand yet. They have various dishes ranging from pork ribs, meat balls, shrimps, rice, pasta, noodles and so much more. They also have a separate section for desserts, candies and cakes. My advice to you is to come hungry tbh so you could each as much as you want and don’t be like me. You’re not also allowed to take food out of the restaurant so yeah just come hungry. I recommend this place for family gatherings, dates and celebrations.

As a family we went on a Saturday afternoon, the choice of food was limited and not all serving dishes were being used, we were disappointed!! My daughter in law went to use the baby changing room only to find the baby changing mat ripped and full of “black mould” I raised this in person with the manager and told him it was a real health risk as my Grandchildren was new born and there was absolutely NO way this could have been missed by cleaners, it wasn’t fit for purpose, The Manager did not seem to think it was a problem, I was appalled. As regular customers I really do think this place has gone down hill, a real shame!!

We visited as a party of 9, which included 3 children, 2 of which have special needs. The tone for how fantastic our visit would be was set when 2 of the party arrived first and requested the kids get to order first so their food could come out first, and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Ashleigh (or perhaps Ashley, we didn't check!) was incredible - she made sure the kids' food came out asap, and they were eating within minutes of our arrival. We're very grateful to her for her fantastic service. The adults' food also didn't take too long, and whilst my own plate was a substantial portion (I opted to 'go large' on the roast!), it was delicious so I did actually finish it all. The veg wasn't overcooked, which is often an issue with Sunday roasts. The meats (you get all 3 if you go large) were nicely cooked, and the Yorkshire puddings were clearly homemade from their differing shapes - none of that picture perfect out of a packet lark. The rest of the group had only compliments for their own food, and the sticky toffee pudding is particularly recommended as a dessert. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, warm, and comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. If we're in the area again, we'd certainly know where to stop for food.

Not what it used to be. Four of us were seated on a very small table which are very close together. The menu is difficult to read on a green background. Feels more like a cafe menu. Two sided laminated. The food was expensive but was nice and hot. The service and clearing of the table was very slow. Two staff who spent more time chatting/whispering and standing behind the bar than serving. We asked for a dessert menu, 30 minutes later no one had come back to take the orders and we tried to get their attention but they were not actively checking tables or making eye contact. We left without ordering dessert. Will not be going back.

Had an amazing time at The Black Lake Pub celebrating my dad’s 60th birthday! We booked a table for 4, and everything was spot on. Starters were a real treat—loaded potato skins with cheese and bacon bits, breaded brie, and crispy battered king prawns. Everyone was raving about them! For mains, we went for the 12oz gammon, 8oz fillet steak, halloumi burger, and pan-fried salmon fillet—all cooked just right and super tasty. Dessert was the cherry on top: apple crumble and a homemade tiramisu that we’re still talking about. No complaints at all. Definitely coming back!

Great service. The servers are very warm and welcoming. The food came out well prepared, looked great and tasted even better. High quality ingredients combined with a nice atmosphere, and good service makes this restaurant a place to visit. Visited around 4pm so it was nice and quiet but does get busy during lunch and dinner time. They have a few promos for a few nights of the week. We ordered the spotted "Richard," sticky date pudding, sirloin steak, New York steak, lamb shank, and the fish pie. All were delicious as o tried them all. Enjoy all!!!

Tremendous Monday lunch, with Mrs B. Fairly quiet yes, staff all seemed happy and very polite, explaining the options on the menu today. The value for money was excellent as we both had a starter and a main. The quality and speed of service was spot on! Obviously freshly cooked, no overcooked veg, beautiful beef with almost no fat, roasted potatoes were piping hot and quite a charismatic eatery. The only downside was the 90 mile journey home, would definitely return if back in the area. If you live nearby and haven’t tried it, you’re missing out, such a friendly bunch of staff and quality food. Thank you all 🏆👍 Even included clean toilets pics

We stopped here on our way to the Liverpool Champions Parade and, although we hadn’t pre-booked breakfast, we decided to drop in before checking out of the hotel. We arrived at 8:13 am and, despite it being extremely busy, we were warmly welcomed by Emily. She was bubbly, friendly, and completely unphased by the hustle and bustle. While there were no tables available in the main restaurant, Emily quickly seated us in the pub area, which was perfectly fine. She took the time to explain how everything worked, including some handy tips on using the pancake machine safely – clearly needed, as someone else had already made a valiant attempt to set the toaster alight! Throughout our visit, Emily and her colleagues – Tegan, Lila, and Chelsea – worked tirelessly to maintain a high level of service. They kept everything well-stocked and managed table turnover with great efficiency. A special mention for Emily, who clearly demonstrated leadership – giving courteous guidance to her team while also rolling up her sleeves and working alongside them. It’s refreshing to see a supervisor lead by example rather than simply delegate. We’d definitely return to this Premier Inn and restaurant – a great experience all round.

Not very good, it would of been cheaper to go over the road to McDonalds and quality would of been better. We had steak that was asked to be cooked medium and it was more well done and tough with a nasty chargrill taste from a grill that hasn't been cleaned properly. Kids had burgers that they didn't enjoy. Staff and what I could guess was manageress were scruffy looking and with it being 2pm it was dead in there. I wonder why on a Saturday.

I absolutely love the chef Dan. He was amazing, had an amazing sense of humor and gave me four yourkshire puddings and referred to me as his “record” which we absolutely loved. Constantly joked throughout serving making jokes that he can’t read when we mentioned reviews and saying he expects this behaviour from big fat men not a tiny girl. Made our days, give that man a raise and a pint xx

Called in with my friends on the way back to Manchester. It was a Sunday so was mainly catering Carvery. I don't like carvery so asked what else was available. The main menu wasnt being used so I looked at the childrens menu. They also wasn't serving chips because it was a Sunday so I ordered Chicken burger and beans x two. All of the food was cold. My burger bun had no butter and wasn't offered any and then realised they had put chicken nuggets on it !! Why would I want a chicken nugget muffin. It was awful but Gypsy my friends dog liked it so I didn't get wasted. My friends had the carvery. Mash potatoes was very lumpy. The potatoes hadn't been cooked, very hard lumps and the Parsnips was that hard you could have wedged the door open with them. The Carvery was also cold. No complaints about the Yorkshire puddings or the meat tho. The best part of mine was the Pepper. That's why I gave a 1 and not a zero . Was so disappointed 😞

Had a click and collect Sunday roast today . Was ready on time, and hot, but content was very disappointing. Very little meat and mainly mashed potato and stuffing. Some cauliflower cheese, carrots and peas. Only half a tub of gravy, not enough for the whole meal. Not worth £14.99, I'm afraid.

Excellent beef and the other meats looked good too. However, the veg felt like it had been 'hanging around' and whilst veg did the job was no great shakes. They haven't got the hang of Yorkshire puddings here with them being biscuit like and dry. Christmas pudding and custard was near cold and nothing special . However, ice cream in my group was appreciated and good. Friendly service by all staff. Very busy , though Christmas season, and I think booking( which we did) would have been essential. Being busy a good sign but it did feel a bit manic. That said, a little quiet at carvery outlet. Plenty of parking. Toilets clean. On return in June much the same comments . Today everything painfully slow though and took over twenty minutes to be seated and as a coach load in , well over 25 minutes to queue at the carvery . It did mean I didn't have time for a pudding so I guess for the waist that was good. The handsome chefs were friendly and dissipated people's irritation at the long queue and their gentle flirting with the old ladies brought them a little smile.

Walking into the restaurant was very warm and welcoming, decor lovely and great atmosphere. We were taken upstairs and it's like we were walking into a different restaurant, horrible lighting, walls bare and painted a dull red colour, felt like I was in a cheap all you can eat restaurant and there aas a table stacking up of dirty dishes. Visited on Saturday for the first time in over a year. Menu seemed larger than I remember,There is something on there for everyone. There was 5 of us and I booked a table. We weren't rushed even though it was a busy Saturday. We had 3 courses, the tortilla sharer starter which was plenty enough for the 5 of us to share. I had the Barbabcoa beef Mexican stew as my main which was absolutely delicious and pretty big,I had a side of rice with it and was full by the time I finished, But not full enough to not fit in a delicious pub of golden nugget cheesecake. This place is definitely value for money and worth a visit.

We were in the area and the wife did a quick Google search for good restaurants. Chiquito popped up as a good choice and we fancied the look of it. I have to say, the food was delicious. It was so nice I forget to take pictures of our mains, as I was too busy tucking in🤦🏼‍♂️ The service was also excellent as our waitress was very polite and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant, was quite funky. We had the 5 Bean Chilli Nachos and BBQ Chicken Wings for starters (pic), Pulled Pork Chimichanga, Borrito & Paella for mains. A must try restaurant!
Chris G — Google review
I'd never been before and I was suprised I actually liked it. So for starter I had the chips and dip and I wasn't a fan. The salsa was homemade and I love salsa, however I did not like this one. The guac was ok but I've never really liked guac anyway and the sour cream was pretty bland. The same could be said about the chips too. They had a bit of seasoning on and where the seasoning was, they were nice, but it was very sparse and only in one patch on each chip, which is a shame. For main I had the southern fried chicken and BBQ pulled pork which was honestly amazing. After the starter I didn't have high hopes, but it actually tasted so nice. The chicken was crispy and the flavour of the chicken, pulled pork, cheese and BBQ sauce together was lovely and worked perfectly. The one thing I would say, I guess not really a complaint just a statement, I had a lot of fries, a lot. The chicken stack had been placed on top of my fries and when I moved it off and to the side I realised half my plate was fries. Compared to my boyfriend, who got the nacho chilli burger, it definitely seemed unfair the amount difference. It's safe to say I didn't eat all my fries and did pass some over to my partner. We also got a garlic tortilla with cheese to try and it was honestly delicious. If you are a fan of garlic bread then I strongly advise you to try this, you won't regret it. The restaurant itself was pretty big with an upstairs but also quite rightly packed with the tables, I like sitting in booths as I feel they give a sense of privacy but the walk ways weren't the biggest and I couldn't imagine it being easy to walk round when it gets busy. When we were there a diner started choking on her food, she was ok in the end, however the staff didn't seem to know how to react properly and their was a bit of a lack of communication in the panic. She was patted on the back and saved but I think that was from a customers doing, as the manager didn't seem to dislodge the food when he tried. So I'd say to the staff their that maybe they need to be trained in how to deal with a choking customer, as they do work in a place where their is a chance of that happening and they should really know how to deal with it efficiently. All in all besides that we had a nice dinner date, the food after the starter was good, the servers were polite and friendly and the restaurant was quite quiet at the time we went (4:30pm). P.s. To all future customers, make sure to chew your food properly.

Enjoyable meal due after initial concerns over spiciness of the meal options. I was reassured that everything was cooked fresh to order with the option of "heat" 😅. We had a shared starter, followed by baked sea bass and the OH had jumbalaya. Lively and cheerful location. Good service from Suzie, our server. Restrooms are clean but upstairs. Paid parking nearby. Wheelchair access may be tricky in downstairs restaurant for access to the restroom.

What a fantastic place. I have been to others in the chain in the past and would not have chosen to go back after poor experiences. But my son and his partner dragged us along to treat us. I visited Roberto’s Pizza House last night and overall had a lovely evening. For a starter, I chose the Caprese salad, usually one of my favorites, but unfortunately, I would only rate it 2/10. The tomatoes had no flavor at all and tasted like plastic. Honestly, I think it would be better to remove this dish from the menu if the quality of ingredients can’t be improved. On a positive note, I tried the Lobster Agnellotti with salmon sauce, and it was truly delicious. The Spaghetti Carbonara is not prepared in the traditional Italian way, but it was still very tasty and enjoyable. For dessert, I ordered the Tiramisu, which I would rate 7/10. The flavor was good, but the ladyfingers were quite dry, which took away from the overall texture. What really stood out was the staff - extremely friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. Their hospitality made the evening special, and despite the small issues with some dishes, we had a wonderful time. With a few improvements in the menu quality, this place could easily become a top spot for Italian dining.

We had this place on the list for some time and we gave it a go tonight. The place is loud and extremely warm, but overall affordable. Food on the other side, unfortunately didn’t excite us as much as we expected. The pasta were certainly all in the same kind of sauces and the white sauce just pure double cream with no trace of actual cooking sauce of frying some onion with garlic and the mushroom etc and make it a sauce out of it for the spaghetti funghi. It tasted like they boil the pasta and just threw the double cream on with some mushrooms and that was that. Same with the bolognese sauce, just canned tomatoes, and the lasagna sheets and cannelloni were overcooked and mushy. This is not real italian food, they don’t even have a proper wood fire for pizzas either. The service, terrible from start to end, with a team of 10 people not facing the small establishment service, just one single waitress that actually knew what to do, and the rest were just walking around. Plus, the drinks didn’t come on a tray, and the server had her fingers all over the rim of the glasses instead of holding the glasses from the middle. They didn’t have a clue about dishes, drinks, just walking around, waited ages for the bill, it took 5 people to ask for it, not stopping when you say stop at pepper nor parmezan just to finish off the spoons, certainly not professional and not the friendly service that you get in Italy and hospitality that Italians are known for. The only good thing out of the whole experience were the desserts, and the cheesecakes were delicious. Shame as it looked like it had a lot of potential.

On Saturday my Girlfriend and I had tea at Robertos following a matinee at the theatre. The restaurant was very busy at this time but the service was tremendous, the staff were very polite and slik with their duties, couldn't fault them. We had a 3 course and both of us were very impressed with with our choices. Brilliant service and food. Definately going again.

We had a great evening tonight, we booked quite late on and we were offered a table 8:00. Great welcome , drinks were served quickly and the staff were really friendly and attentive. Although a busy evening Plates and cutlery were changed and drinks were topped up all the time. Pepper and cheese offered with every course , we were so impressed the kids said how good the service was , there was a girl with an Italian accent and a lady with a southern accent who were really great ,thanks again! A real family Italian experience. This place reminds me of an Italian restaurant straight out of a Disney film like lady and the tramp feel , we love it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely fantastic experience at Roberto’s Pizza Restaurant in Hanley! The food was absolutely amazing — cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The service was outstanding, and the manager couldn’t do enough for his customers. You can really tell they care about providing the best experience possible. Lovely atmosphere, great service, and delicious food — the perfect place for a meal out. We’ll definitely be back! 🍕👏

Never been before despite having lived close my whole life. Food was amazing! Pizza came a little bit greasy but can look over as it still tastes good! The Seafood pancakes are my recommendation!

Came here after seeing some very positive reviews, and now i understand why. I came with a couple of friends and we all loved it. Quiet and familiar but also very cheerful. The waiters were extremely kind (I had also the occasion to speak Italian with one of them to impress one the friends hehe). The service seems also fast. Overall really amazing place. Very satisfied. P.S. The menus were extremely huge, not very practical to read on the table. I suggest to make them smaller 😜

Great pie shop. Great selection of pies that caters for all tastes. Meat, vegetarians and vegans. Good portions and tasty side orders. High quality foods and good value. Also served proper teas in teapots. Friendly staff. Highly recommended place to eat.

We recently tried a selection of pies and were overall very pleased with the experience. Each one had its own unique flavor profile, and it was fun to compare our favorites. Personally, I absolutely loved the Stilton pie—the rich, tangy cheese was perfectly balanced with the savory filling, making it the standout for me. My partner, on the other hand, really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka pie. It had a lovely depth of flavor, with just the right amount of spice and a creamy, comforting texture that made it really satisfying. The Steak pie, while hearty and well-seasoned, had a noticeably strong onion presence that, for my taste, slightly overpowered the rest of the filling. If you're a big fan of onions, it might be right up your alley, but it wasn’t quite to my liking. Overall, though, the quality of the pies was excellent, and we’d definitely try more from the range in the future.

Stopped off here on a rainy day on my own. Very quick table service, I had the moo and blue- it was delicious, lovely thick gravy and creamy mash. Reasonable price and decent portions. Would definitely recommend! You can even take a pie home to cook at home!

Great little place for a decent pie with mash and peas. Not massive portions, but big enough to fill a hole. Very quick service too. Pie and mash starts at a tenner then you can add more if you like.

We both decided to try the 'Big Cheese' pie with mash, garden peas + gravy. This pie was absolutely delicious - a great blend of flavours! We have always found the staff at the Trentham venue to be very pleasant. Today, the staff on duty were exceptional, hence I decided to write this review. Ethan, our server, was very welcoming + attentive. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Food was lovely and was served quick. However, the blonde lady who was on the front of house, has no manners or social cues. When I first walked in, I asked if we could sit inside and she was too busy speaking to another staff member. When my partner went to order food and I was sat down, she continued to stare at me the whole time, for what reason I have no idea. Poor customer service on her part. Important to add, I saw another review mention her as being rude so this is clearly a common occurrence.

Excellent person-centred service, professional presentation on food, worth every price for value as filling generous portions. A true slice of little Japan in our comfy Stoke. Would recommend to try the Ramen, as the chicken is fat and succulent, with a clear taste.

For the price the food is lovely and good portions. The service was excellent, the older lady was so wholesome I'd love to take her home. Atmosphere is nice, it's not your standard same old restaurant...it's got more of homely feel to it. I will definitely be visiting again. Oh I've had a lot of steamed dumplings and I think this place did the best so far !

The Bauhinia Restaurant is a popular Chinese eatery where owners have the ability to update their profile information, upload images, engage with customer feedback, and more. This establishment offers a wide variety of delicious dishes and provides excellent service in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Despite being located within walking distance for many people, some may have waited too long to give it a try. The menu at Bauhinia Restaurant is extensive, catering to various preferences without being overly expensive.
The food was excellent - some of the best Chinese food I've had recently. I particularly liked the kai sung (it reminded me of the san choy bow you find in Chinese restaurants in Australia). The sizzling beef was served on a sizzling hot platter with a tasty pepper sauce. The wonton soup had luscious and juicy prawn wontons with a generous serve of wontons. We decided to go a la carte, but the range of set menus is impressive and well priced too. It was lovely to see the restaurant team welcoming people and checking in with people at key stages of the meal. It had a really nice family feel and vibe! Luckily we booked our table the night before dining as the restaurant filled up very quickly after we arrived. We were visiting family in the area, so we don't live close by - but we've said we would gladly return on future visits. It is great to support local business and not just dine in the same restaurant chains.

Attended for our Anniversary meal mainly a very enjoyable evening with some great entertainment half way through the evening. Food was all very tasty and well presented. We were slightly let down at the end of the meal when it took 35minutes for our pudding of banana fritter to arrive, we actually received our bill before the pudding and was asked if we wanted to pay before we had even had the pudding.

First visit last night after always living within walking distance but never going. Why did I wait so long? It was a fantastic experience, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. We had 2 courses and then a cocktail to finish and didn't feel rushed at any point. We felt comfortable and chilled out. Very large menu to choose from, not overly expensive. Wide selection of drinks. I'd recommend the Fire Breathing Dragon cocktail, it was so fruity and tasty. We'll definitely be visiting again.

(Shown my meal with other meals for comparison) I ordered the mock meat (with orange sauce) on uber eats for almost £12 and this is the absolute joke that arrived. I called the restaurant assuming there was some kind of mistake, but they told me this is how it's supposed to arrive. Just a few tiny slivers of food and a small pot of sauce. TWELVE POUNDS. Everything else was lovely but I told them I obviously expected a refund for this "meal" as I was starving after two mouthfuls. I was told they wouldn't be able to give me one as this is how the meal is supposed to be. I'm genuinely staggered that I'm even having to write this review. Have you ever seen such a ridiculous portion of food? Look at the side of the pot and you'll see exactly how much of a "meal" I received.

Great experience, the atmosphere was really nice and peaceful. The food tasted good, and the service was also good. When someone new didn't know something, the more experienced staff came out to help answer anything and didn't leave them fumbling which is great of them. Very happy experience. I went out of my way to tip as this is the best place I've been in Stoke so far.

Nestled in the picturesque World of Wedgwood in Barlaston, near Stoke-on-Trent, Lunar is a culinary gem that pays tribute to the historic Lunar Society. With an Asian-inspired menu crafted by a Michelin-starred chef, diners can indulge in delightful small plates like scallops with citrus and preserved ginger or tempura pumpkin with tamarind and chili. The restaurant also features sharing dishes such as clay-baked chicken served with treasure rice, perfect for those looking to savor flavors together.
Went to Luna yesterday for my birthday meal & it was really exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable. The manager Craig was so lovely & sociable, he gets involved greeting and serving customers, you wouldn’t even think he is the manager. The atmosphere was also an icing on the cake, would defiantly recommend and would go again. Best restaurant we have definitely been to that’s near stone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Stellar Experience at Lunar We had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Lunar, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience set the tone—elegant, calm, and thoughtfully designed to reflect both modern sophistication and a warm, welcoming vibe. The food was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing a real commitment to quality and creativity. You can tell there’s genuine passion behind the menu, and the use of locally sourced ingredients really shines through. A special mention goes to our server, Sam, who took excellent care of us from start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive—Sam made our visit even more enjoyable. Lunar strikes that perfect balance between fine dining and relaxed charm. We’re already looking forward to coming back—this place is a gem in every sense.

I recently celebrated my 60th birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. Lunar closed exclusively for my party, which made the whole day feel incredibly special and personal. It was such a treat to have the entire place just for my guests and me – a true VIP experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was beautifully arranged. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure the night went smoothly. They took care of every detail with professionalism and a smile, allowing me to relax and really enjoy the celebration. The ambiance was just right – festive yet intimate – and the venue itself was the perfect size and setting for my family and friends to gather, laugh, and make memories. I felt so celebrated and appreciated, and many of my guests commented on how lovely the atmosphere was. The buffet was nothing short of outstanding—beautifully presented and offering an impressive variety of dishes to suit every taste. From fresh, vibrant salads to perfectly seasoned mains and decadent desserts, every bite was delicious. Guests are still telling me how much they enjoyed the food, and many went back for seconds (and thirds!). Turning 60 is a big milestone, and thanks to this incredible venue and team, it was everything I hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a place to host a truly personal and memorable event, Lunar is it. Thank you again for helping make my 60th so unforgettable!

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were absolutely top-class, warm, and attentive. We were even treated to an introductory talk about the impressive history of Lunar, which made the visit even more special. The food was simply beautiful — full of flavour and presented to perfection, truly 5-star quality. We will definitely be back!

What a star restaurant. From secret door bars to excellent service and food, Lunar has an unusual stylish feel with artwork and Wedgwood on the walls, plus a huge moon hanging from the ceiling. The Red House has recently made a delightful comeback, and it’s clear that this charming pub is ready to impress. I had the pleasure of attending a murder mystery night with a group of 15, and we all left buzzing from the experience! The bar service was attentive, while the food truly stole the show—perfectly portioned meals for both adults and kids, including vegetarian options.
Absolutely lovely homemade food! Compliments to the chef Simon as his food is superb! We had the special of the day which was Game and wild mushroom stroganoff which was delicious! Would highly recommend this village pub to anybody who fancies a hearty meal with a friendly welcoming atmosphere!

We just popped to The Red House for a drink, as it's walking distance, and to see if we'd like to come back another time for food. The food options seem very diverse and appealing, but they don't serve food Mondays or Tuesdays, which is fair enough. What put me off was the lukewarm greeting from the only bar tender, who's attitude was verging on suspicious. My drink was OK but it was my second choice, as they didn't stock what I asked for. I may give it a second chance, especially as other reviews favourable about the food.
Justine F — Google review
This pub does not get enough credit as it deserves. Visited today for sunday dinner and oh my god, one of the best homemade dinner we had in Stoke. Think it would help massively if the pub would concentrate a bit more on the marketing side and social media to promote their delicious food. Not quite sure on the pub ownership, it looks independent more than a chain, which it should made it more flexible to promote it a lot more. We have also tried the normal evening menu on a different o as and this has not disappointed either. Very very good and competitive prices considering the market value, the food portion is just over the normal size as well. Desserts homemade too. I wish I could share this experience to more people and hopefully people will visit this place more, it truly deserves to be part of the food awards. The place has a huge carpark and it is easy to find, plus they have a very decent selection of drinks. If you want some good quality food, please give it a chance. This review is solely based on my experience and it is not an ad. The dinners were £11 each.

We went here for a murder mystery night, a total of 15 people, and we all had an amazing night. The bar service was well represented, and the food was really amazing . The portion size was spot on, as well as the children's portions and a vegetarian option too. I don't want to say too much about the deserts as I would like as much as possible on my next visit.. OK, so they were gorgeous second to none, super fantastic, and moorish to die for.. Enough said on that side 🤫.. As for the staff on that first opening night, they were amazing, polite, happy, and full of smiles all night and they were a great asset to the pubs dining experience.. We are definitely going back for return visits Well done to all the staff that made that first opening night so special 🤗

Very rarely answer the phone to book, and when you go they say they are full but will check with the chef when there are clearly around 10 people in the restaurant and 2 drinkers in the bar, takes a while to be served, there are 2 bar staff who are personable but the management and the rest are questionable, Been coming here for 30 years, lots of potential and zero utilised to its full potential. its the garden, play area and location that's still makes people return nothing more.

Nestled in the vibrant area of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Little Dumpling King is a delightful eatery that specializes in beloved East Asian dishes, particularly Chinese dumplings and bao buns filled with mouthwatering ingredients. This casual bar and restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned in striking black and red decor. Chef-owner Rob McIntyre has created a haven for dumpling enthusiasts, where each dish is crafted with care—including their signature crispy chili oil.
I’d only heard of this place from my friends who rave about it! So when we made a last minute plan to go I was delighted. We sat outside as the weather was lovely, all 4 staff members we had interactions with were amazing. The staff member who took our drinks order was so informative about all the wines and reeled them off with tasting notes and what they pair well with! The staff member who took our food order was so attentive the whole time, we ordered pretty much every vegan option so it all came out as it was cooked, the food was so fresh and tasty. It was just cooked so we had to be patient before chomping into it all. We had a funny experience with one of the local homeless people who ended up taking a sip of our wine 😂 we found it pretty funny to be honest and she was harmless and just wanted a chat but the staff went above and beyond and gave us a whole bottle to replace the other one. This was super generous as we only had about a glass left. The food, music and staff are 10/10. I’d definitely recommend going again and can’t wait try more of the menu as I hear from friends it changes all the time

Outstanding. You might have read other reviews similar to this rating about the Little Dumpling King and assume they’re either reviews left my the owners friends and family or just simply over the top reviews. Maybe you’re thinking “surely Hanley in Stoke-on-Trent can’t actually produce a good place to eat?”. Well, if you’re thinking any of that then be prepared to be dumbfounded. First, I’ll get it out the way.. the food is excellent. Genuinely, I would rather eat here than go to any of the Michelin star restaurants I’ve been. To further substantiate my 5 star review, the service was fantastic. Greeted at the door by a very polite young lady, who set us down immediately and timed the order taking immaculately. I think the only point any body could ever try to say is wrong with this place is the atmosphere is a little grungy and quirky for the price of the food - £9 a dish. However, I loved it and thought they could easily charge twice as much and I would continue to return. Played some great tunes all night, Decor to match and staff dressed casually. The whole experience screamed Indie fine cuisine and im all for it. Please please please, yes 3x pleases. Break your mid week cycle and treat yourself to a spectacular Thursday night meal. You won’t regret it.

This was my second time to little dumpling king first time was with my partner the second with my mum and sister, the food is delicious! It’s all served piping hot and fresh, everything is served as it is ready. Honestly I wish there was a way to describe the flavours, the menu is packed with gems 👌 The staff are attentive and polite, they also make you feel like you can chill you aren’t pestered or rushed. The aesthetics are really cool there’s interesting things to look at and the music choices are great in my opinion, this place is a total breath of fresh air. The only thing I would like is a list of the soft drinks to be added to the drinks board, and some division on the menu between light bites and full meals (e.g how many light bites make a meal etc) , I think if you haven’t eaten this cuisine before it could be confusing. But that’s not criticism just a suggestion from someone who loves eating out ♥️🍽️ will definitely be returning ✌🏼

The best place in Staffordshire for food, if not the country. If you've never been, drop everything and go! The menu always has something interesting to try and every meal has been perfect; service, atmosphere, music and decor are all wonderful. Brilliant little place, that everyone needs to visit. I booked online as it was a Saturday night, but there was some tables for walk ins. The staff were really attentive and helpful. There is a number of quirky drinks for you to try, including wine, beer and soju. The menu was great, lots of things to choose from. We ordered a selection of things to share. My favourite was the lamb, it was well cooked and very flavoursome. I didn't really enjoy the pork dumplings, but that is a personal taste thing. Overall, really great night, with lots of choice and great food.

After a long week of work, this was the vacation my tastebuds needed. Other eateries on the street cower in the shadow of the The Little Dumpling King. Food that melts in the mouth, fast and friendly service, and a smart but casual atmophere suitable for a range of occasions. Until one of the flats opposite the street becomes available, I know I'll be making the jouney back here again soon.

Love Nando’s. Everything about it the spice the sauces the food everything I’ll argue to anyone who says otherwise. My opinion won’t change if you like chicken and spice then it’s the one for you

Always great food and friendly service staff. Food arrives quickly and has always tasted great. A favourite place to take the family .

We visited once Saturday lunchtime, it was busy and we hadn't booked but we only had to wait 20minutes for a table. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. For anyone who hasn't been before you order and pay at the counter. There is a great choice of food, all chicken variations, wraps, chips, dips etc. We really enjoyed our selections. Not posh but great especially for casual dining.

Good selection of Vegan and Veggie food. I had the Vegan chicken style strips, they were amazing. Ordering is so easy by scanning the QR code on the table, waiters were all very friendly, food arrived very quickly

The staff were very friendly. Even though we went at a relatively busy time, we didn’t wait too long for the food to arrive. The decor is really nice, everything looked really clean. I was kind of disappointed by the food. So we ordered the spiced chicken burger which was honestly amazing. There was so much flavour with every bite. We also ordered the great imitator burger. It was okay, the bun itself seemed quite old, there was not much flavour. The quantity was so small, it didn’t feel worth the price. Overall it was a good place. It would have been nice, if they had out more effort in the the imitator burger

Vietnamese Phoenix Flower Restaurant is a charming family-run eatery that exudes the authentic vibe of a Hanoi street kitchen. The recipes, passed down through generations, reflect the love and dedication of the family. The beef pho is particularly noteworthy, featuring a rich broth simmered for hours and complemented by fresh herbs, zesty lemon, and hot chili. Customers appreciate the customizable nature of the dishes and generous portion sizes.
The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of flavor, especially the fried spring rolls, which were crispy and tasty. The owner is so kind and welcoming—when I accidentally spilled some sauce, she immediately cleaned it up and even served me a new plate of spring rolls. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean, with authentic and cozy décor that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely come back again!

After a year, we passed by this place again during our travels and came back for dinner at this restaurant. We ordered beef ho fun, chicken ho fun, and the special ho fun, which included chicken, beef, and shrimp. We also had the fried spring rolls. The spring rolls were quite large, packed with fillings, and very delicious. The soup base for the ho fun was incredibly tasty — we all really enjoyed it.
Stephen C — Google review
I went in 20 minutes before closing time and the lady was so lovely, I told her I’d just left work and was very hungry and she had filled my plate so much. This is my second time coming here and it is definitely one of the best places I have ever had Pho. The broth is so yummy and the portion size / prices are amazing. Thank you !
Mel D — Google review
Absolutely loved all the liquids! 😍 The mint tea, the spring roll dipping sauce (vinegar, salt, sugar, chili, garlic, and apple vinegar), and the pickled garlic — it tasted just like Korean pickled daikon 😍😍😍 The pho broth was also spot on — not overly sweet at all (which I really appreciate, since I’m not a fan of sweet broths), just a clean, savoury depth with a gentle sweetness. Adding a few drops of fish sauce really brought out the flavour even more☺️🥰 The deep-fried spring rolls were fantastic too. Next time I’ll try the pork ones — the shrimp filling was minced, so it lacked a bit of that satisfying texture. The owner was super welcoming, and kindly explained the ingredients in their amazing sauces. 🫶🏻🫶🏻Will visit again!

The broth is so clear and yummy 🤤 The crispy spring rolls is packed with fillings and the dip goes very well with it. The salad is so fresh and full of flavour. I will definitely come back!!

I’ve been a regular for the past few months now! When you walk in, you get greeted by the kind owner and served with complimentary mint tea and prawn crackers. Pho is hearty and flavourful, nothing beats it. Pro tip: enjoy the pho the way it comes for first few bites to appreciate the brilliant clear broth, and then add on the chilli oil, pickled garlic or fish sauce to your liking.

Gorgeous Vietnamese food, Pho was just what we needed on a cold rainy day. It warmed me to my soul. Complimentary green tea and prawn crackers as well make it such a welcoming special place. The fried prawn spring rolls were fantastic too. Definitely coming again!

Most magical 21st Birthday! I would love to stay thank you so much to all the staff at NOM tonight (especially Benthany) for the fantastic service we received. Celebrating my 21st Birthday and couldn't be more greatful for the staff going above and beyond for my family and I. 100% would recommend and will be back for sure! Food was absolutely amazing and the steaks melted in my mouth! Cannot wait for our next visit. Thank you again!

The food was great, and the free cocktail (which you can claim on the website) was a nice touch. We had a fish pie and a mushroom pizza. The pizza was good, although nothing out of the ordinary, but the fish pie was absolutely delicious. The prices are a bit high given the average for Stoke-on-Trent, but they offer you a much better deal if you get a pre-set menu, which we didn't. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were absolutely amazing, some of the nicest ladies I have ever met!
Irina I — Google review
Excellent service and tasty food. The 2 course lunch meals are a very good price but generally you won't get quite as much food compared to ordering one of the regular mains(although obviously you get a bit of variety) so if you're feeling hungry I'd go for a main. The milkshakes, although nice, are served in quite a thin glass so you may not get as much as you'd expect. Be sure to ask for a jug of tap water for the table. Overall a very good experience and I will likely be returning at some point in the future.
Dan C — Google review
Wasn't expecting it to be so good. The service was good. Very attentive staff. For starters I had the honey chicken skewers and the double burger with fries for my main. The starter was perfect and had chilli sauce which was luscious. The burger was very big, juicy and nice. Couldn't have dessert because I was so full. I had an oreo Milkshake too which was nice, its not for everyone. It had an extra flavor which I'm not sure what it was but it tasted nutty/oaty. My date did not like it. The atmosphere was quite and chilled which I personally thing is always nice. Good selection of music too. Didn't take great pictures though.
Melissa W — Google review
Wow! Seriously, Wow! Why is this place not the first name that pops up on the advisor of trips? In the mood for a reasonable steak dinner not too far from my hotel, I was despondent when the aforementioned website listed establishments a goodly distance away. I gave up and was ambling through the town centre en route to The Potteries when I stumbled upon this place. I read the menu on a hunch and spotted the serious charcoal grilled bovine selection. Once inside, I opted for the ribeye and was rewarded with an intensely flavourful cut of delicately seared beef. Washed down with a glass of their reasonably priced house plonk, my only regret was asking for the Stilton jus. Although silky and with just the right amount of stiltonific pungency, it detracted from the sheer juicy ecstasy from masticating that aforementioned ribeye. Mention must be made of the warm and friendly staff and mellow environment. The bar is satisfactory and the cocktail selection is not overwhelmingly adventurous. Suffice it to say that celebrants will not be disappointed.

Poor quality Restaurant! And if you like old dirty tables, empty candles, bad cooked food, bad personal attitude, expensive and poor quality food, go there! but after this experience I don't recommend to anyone!

Nice and stylish place! Good variety of drinks, tasty food and lovely desserts. The ambiance is very nice as well with good music in the background. Very helpful staff.
Andreea G — Google review
The interior design of this place is really cool and I personally really liked it, the 'bushes' with the lights are a great touch. The atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly and polite. The food is great, the beef burger was delicious and very filling. The prices are a bit high but the quality of the food is well worth it. Our food was bought to is within 5-10 minutes of ordering but we were one of only 3 tables there at the time. The choice of food wasn't amazing and could get repetitive after multiple visits but otherwise is fine. If you sit near the door to the stairs that lead to the toilets and the door is left open there is a bit of a cold draft. The waiters didn't take away the extra cutlery and wine glasses that weren't being used but those are only small things. In general a very good place to eat with family and friends.

Had such a lovely time last night! The food was excellent, the staff fantastic and so friendly. The atmosphere was so upbeat and i love the decor. Final plus it was so personable when the chef came round at the end of the evening to see how everyone had enjoyed their meal, it just added the final touch! Only criticism is its so difficult to get a table, and now i see why! :-) x

A beautiful meal to finish our weekend away. Firstly I want to point out how well these guys do to keep this place Covid free. They are constantly cleaning and wiping down every nook and cranny! Each table has it's own personal hand sanitizer as well the one by the entrance, they are working very hard and are going above and beyond to ensure the safety of the customers and staff! A massive well done and thank you for making us feel so safe! The food, perfectly cooked and expertly presented meals crafted by a very experienced chef. The first chalkboard I saw said “Welcome back! We’ve missed you!” Which is typical of this restaurant - they treat you like friends or family. Noting had changed for our first post lockdown visit - the food and service were irreproachable. I had the lamb shank with a fabulous sauce, and my wife had a salmon dish she loved. We both followed this with a beautifully subtle key lime pie. Our friends, two more couples, also reported the usual top nosh! We’ve never had a bad meal there. Best of luck for the next few months - we’ll be back as soon as you reopen to celebrate. ❤️

Massala Junction in Hanley is a culinary gem that brings the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine to life. This restaurant offers a delightful mix of traditional curries and modern interpretations inspired by the bustling streets of Lahore. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it an ideal spot for enjoying authentic dishes with friends or family. Diners rave about the generous portions, especially the naan bread, which adds to the overall experience.
Great Curry. Very Flavoursome. Enormous thin and garlic rich nan breads. They don't have a alcohol drinks licence. So if you wish to drink alcohol. Take your own! Or there is an outdoor two doors away. So it's not a problem calling in there first. Highly recommended.

Brilliant curry and naan breads come in very generous portions. I've been here a few times now and the quality of food is always high. Love the interior decor too, very comfortable and spacious, by far the nicest restaurant in Stoke on Trent to dine in with fresh colours and funky Pakistani street food artwork on the walls. The waiters are also very pleasant and always on hand to help. Well worth a visit

Have visited before about a year ago, was good tasty food, but gone down hill since. Had a range of about 5 starters only the sheek kebabs were good, rest poor.. Mains poor green curry had a weird flavour that I couldn't pick up, seemed like the sauce was just left over stems and sticks of all green coloured veg blitzed in a blender, still had twigs in the sauce. Chicken dish lacked in sauce, flavour, and chicken seemed fake....very hard and chewy. Like eating rubber...disappointed this time, may not try again.

Sindu Mahal in Stoke-on-Trent is a no-frills, authentic restaurant serving Sri Lankan Tamil and Sinhala cuisine. Despite its basic decor, the place offers some of the most genuine Sri Lankan food outside Colombo. The restaurant has garnered a perfect 5/5 rating on Google and is highly recommended by visitors. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with impeccably clean surroundings. The staff are incredibly hospitable and ensure a great dining experience.
Highly recommend this place! Food is amazing. Best thing I can say about this place is that they care about the food. Very friendly too. There was 6 of us and we shared a shovel and a bunch of other things. It was less than £25 each and we ordered way too much but we tried everything and it was all amazing. We had: Popadoms Fish, veg, chicken rolls Elk meat devil Magic meat shovel Cashew curry Mutton curry Banana leaf wrapped chicken and curry set Maldivian sambal Coconut sambal I liked how the coconut sambal was like a pallet cleanser as it was fresh so help with the spice of the others. I will be coming back.

Saying amazing is a mere understatement! The dining experience was top notch. The taste buds undoubtedly savoured the authenticity of Sri Lankan spices to bring out the very best of the bomb showel platter. Would seriously recommend this place without a shadow of a doubt. 100% HALAL! 🩷

I had a great experience at Sindu Mahal Sri Lankan Restaurant. The food was delicious and full of authentic Sri Lankan flavour – I tried the chicken kottu and mutton curry, both of which were perfectly spiced and tasted just like home-cooked meals. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to explain the dishes. I also enjoyed a strong Sri Lankan tea and a rich watalappam for dessert, which ended the meal on a high note. If you’re looking for tasty Sri Lankan food in a welcoming setting, I highly recommend Sindu Mahal!

It was our first time at Sindu Mahal and I would definitely recommend it! The food is so authentic and the flavours linger in your mouth even after finishing. I don’t usually leave reviews but this restaurant definitely deserves a great one. Absolutely loved the food there. Was definitely 10/10. I am definitely going to go back there again. We ordered the magic meat shovel (I’m sorry if I named it wrong but it was definitely a magic shovel dish). The food was delicious. Definitely better than the ones that I tried in London, that’s for sure. The lady that served us was so lovely such a sweetheart. The family that owns the restaurant seem so sweet. Such a calming environment, enjoyed every moment even when waiting for the food. Food was made fresh and took some home for later. The portion sizes were brilliant definitely worth every penny. Once again love love LOVE. Must try it if you’re in town. The only thing I would say is since they make the food fresh to book beforehand if you are looking to dine in just so you don’t wait around too long. But I walked in without booking and the wait was so worth it. 10/10 on everything. Can’t wait to come back :)

If you're on the hunt for an authentic Indian dining experience, look no further than Thalii. This charming restaurant specializes in thali, a delightful assortment of small dishes served together on a generous plate alongside rice and chapati. Diners rave about the high-quality food that boasts perfectly balanced spices, making it a haven for spice lovers. With options spanning Indian, Asian, and Pakistani cuisines, there's something to satisfy every palate—including vegetarian and vegan selections.
Thought we would try the Thali concept, went to the restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday. I had already booked a table and was glad because it is a small place and it quickly filled up with customers. I ordered a small thaali, thought it was very tasty. I had lamb, spinach paneer for main and I actually think the veg dish was nicer than the meat dish- not saying i did not like the meat dish. The service is brilliant, I was told by the waiter that they actually employ women chefs, which explains why the food was so tasty as it should be. If we are in Stoke again will definately be back.

This family-owned restaurant offers a unique experience for all in the daytime, with a relaxed approach to their menu, but in the evening it becomes more formal and perfect for romantic dinners. The menus have a wide variety of dishes, from delicious breakfasts to platters and signature items.
This is a great place. You can tell there’s a real chef preparing the food. Everything was fresh, it was beautifully presented and it was delicious. There is a great outdoor patio with little to no road noise. You got to try some desert. Like their other foods it is unique, freshly made and memorable. We had several items off the “light” menu, two glasses of wine and two deserts for 56 pounds.

We had a last minute booking last night at 8.30pm and arrived to a wonderful atmosphere not too busy and very attentive staff on arrival. There was a acoustic guitar player, he was very good. The food was beautiful and the gentleman in charge was very lovely and attentive also, nothing was too much trouble and not in your face all the time which is uncomfortable and never felt rushed with out dinner. I will come again and recommend you to close friends and family. Well done...

Have visited David's today for lunch. It was busy but John quickly found us a nice table and ordered our drinks which arrived very promptly. Both the tea and coffee were excellent. We both decided on the roast turkey off a comprehensive menu although there was an excellent choice of lighter lunches and hot and cold sandwiches. The meal arrived very quickly but was superbly cooked and presented. In fact my wide declared it the best turkey she had ever tasted- sorry to family Christmas cooks. There was plenty of choice for a sweet but we both chose the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious and ended a great lunch. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal without rushing us and looking round seemed to easily cope with a full restaurant. Highly recommended.

We arrived here early afternoon asking for a table for three. We were originally told that there may be a wait, and then a male members staff asked a couple to move, so that we could sit on a table for three. We had three different meals, my son had sausage and mash, I had the chicken sandwich (with chip cubes) and my wife had roast chicken. The three meals were excellent, all of great quality, and with lovely portions. The service and staff were excellent, and a place that we will certainly visit again if we are in the area. Great place.. this is similar to my trip advisor review.

Really lovely atmosphere with great staff! We only wanted a coffee, so we got to sit in the window on the setees, which had a range of newspapers if you wanted. We were made to feel very welcome, even on a busy day and we weren't getting food. The drinks we had were lovely, and at the average price for a sit in hot drink, so no complaints from us! I would definitely go back when next in Trentham, and would have some food next time!
Natasha W — Google review
A great place to eat if you're visiting Trentham Gardens. The food is consistently good, although it is advisable to book in advance as they are always busy. You can however, just drop in for a coffee and a piece of cake. The seating for that is limited too. Highly recommended. Bistro type atmosphere.

My friend is a coeliac and the gentleman who showed us to our table and brought the menu, couldn't have been more helpful. There were very few things on the menu that she couldn't have. She had quinoa & orange salad and said it was the best meal she'd had in ages. I had a breaded hake sandwich with peas, fried potatoes and chutney and it was all gorgeous. We were served quickly even though it was a very busy lunchtime. All the staff were friendly and courteous. An excellent experience. Will recommend this restaurant to all our friends.

We came up to Trentham Gardens from Alton for the day. After a long day walking around the gardens and monkey park we thought we'd grab late lunch / quick snack before heading back to our B&B in Alton and dinner later. We ordered one chicken teriyaki salad between us. Our expectations were surpassed as we were given two half portions on separate plates. As per photo. But moreover the food was fantastic. Best salad we've had. That good. So much so, we're thinking of excuses to come back for dinner while we're down in this part of the world! If not we'll definitely be back next trip down to Alton Towers. Staff were great too.

Restaurant
Jamaican Grillz is a vibrant restaurant with a true Jamaican vibe, featuring reggae music and vintage album covers adorning the walls. The jerk chicken, a recipe passed down through generations, offers a proper spicy kick and smoky flavor from real pimento wood. The friendly staff provides great hospitality while serving up authentic Jamaican dishes like oxtail, Alisha, curried goat, fried dumplings, and sweet caramelized plantains.
Best Jamaican food, lovely atmosphere, above and beyond customer service, great food, even better prices and portions

Food is amazing and flavourful but the service is so slow I’d of served myself quicker. I was asked what time I would be collecting and when I arrived the lady said the steamed veg wasn’t ready - I ended up leaving the store with my collection 20 minutes later than the time I said I was collecting - I was on a work lunch and had limited time. Never known it to take 40 minutes to steam veg either? And the prices in store are different to those advertised online. Lovely food and good pricing despite it not matching up, but the vibes are off in terms of service completely

Went in for a beef patty and left almost crying. I ordered a patty and couldn’t pay for it because they didn’t have a machine and only took transfers which I was unable to do in the moment. I was then asked to find an ATM to withdraw money to pay for my patty. A man in the restaurant overheard this and gave me £30 to buy a meal and keep the rest. I was very grateful but said that I only wanted a patty. They did not have change for the £10 bill so I decided to order something in addition to the patty and keep my £20 change. I asked for oxtail but they didn’t have any, as well as most of the other things on the menu so I settled for goat curry. The same man (who told me to find an ATM) who I can only assume is the manager then began ordering meals on behalf of my friend, before I stopped him and told him that my friend never expressed interest in any of the meals he is ordering and is also a vegetarian to which he made a “joke” about. While the (very nice) lady at the counter was preparing to serve my meal she asked me if I wanted a large or a medium to which this same man decided to ANSWER FOR ME and tell her to serve me a medium. He took the rest of the money that was given to me and used to PAY FOR MEALS FOR OTHER CUSTOMERS who never asked for it and then kept MY change. I left the store on the verge of tears and words cannot describe how enraged and upset this entire encounter made me. At the end of the day, the beef patty (the only reason I went into this restaurant in the first place) was VERY DRY, stale and not flavorful. If I could give zero stars I would. Awful service from the very pushy, disrespectful, entitled, money hungry manager.

Beautiful food, really nice happy man who delivered our food and he couldn't apologise enough that it took 1 hour which I think is a very reasonable time compared to other takeaways the only problem we had was there wasn't enough sauce it was that nice

Got 2 Jerk Chcken with bone meals to take away costing £8 each. Whilst the food was very tasty all we actually got was one small chicken leg and loads of rice. This was very disappointing and extremely expensive for what we got - 2 very small pieces of chicken and loads of rice for £16.

Can't go wrong whit the oxtail and stew beef but today unfortunately the rice wasn't that tasty colourful rice&beans but still love it. Respect Big Man

The Hollybush is a charming spot that exudes warmth and friendliness, making it an ideal gathering place for friends and family. With a delightful atmosphere, this pub stands out for its impressive vegan menu, which is thoughtfully separate from the regular offerings—much to the delight of plant-based diners. Guests rave about the delicious food and attentive service provided by the welcoming staff.

Cafe
Nestled in the vibrant Cultural Quarter of Hanley town center, The Quarter Cafe has quickly become a beloved destination since its opening in December 2016. This charming family-run establishment transforms from a cozy cafe during the day into an inviting bistro and bar by night, offering a delightful array of dishes from breakfast to dinner. Guests can indulge in handmade sandwiches and delectable desserts throughout the day, while evenings bring enticing chicken and fish platters starting at 5 PM.
Called in with my sister today, had the all day breakfast, it was huge, and delicious, unfortunately my stomach wouldn't stretch enough to fit it all In, I totally recommend you try this place for yourself, but make sure to book, can I just add, thank you very much ladies and kitchen staff for a fantastic first class experience x
