The 18 best foods to try in Cromer

I asked in a local community group prior to my visit to Cromer asking for local recommendations on various eateries, including ‘best Sunday lunch’. Several locals recommended The Red Lion. So after my Irish photography pop-up in Cromer today I went to grab myself a celebratory dinner. As you enter there is a large pub to the right and the restaurant is to the left when you are seated by a member of staff. There is a lovely view from where I was sat in the front but of the restaurant and the decor was great with many framed photographs lining the walls. A photographer is always going to appreciate that 😊 I ordered the ‘All 3 meats’ Sunday roast that should have included beef, pork and lamb but as they had run out of pork they gave me extra of pork and beef. The food arrived in what I can describe as ‘a mountain of food’ topped with a Yorkshire pudding. I cannot fault the food. The meat was well cooked (I ordered rare) as were the veggies and potatoes. The cauliflower cheese was delicious. The gravy also very good. I also ordered a strawberry cider from tap which was beautiful but as I was riding the bike back I had to stick to one. The only negatives for me were the knife provided simply wasn’t up to the job of getting through some of the sinew on the beef. And the price. Whilst the food truly was lovely, £21 is a bit steep based on my travels around the UK. I don’t regret my choice to eat there, as I obviously knew the price before I ordered and the food was delicious but it’s a bit steep for my budget to make my regular Sunday lunch venue. There are cheaper options, I think the 3 in 1 was the most expensive. If memory serves the pork was the cheapest at £18 or £19. Having said that, I couldn’t book a table until after 4pm so they were very clearly busy and based on the recommendations highly regarded in the town. The pub side was very busy and full when I arrived around 4:30pm. The restaurant side was pretty empty but 4:30 isn’t really a peak time for a meal. I certainly would have indulged in a few more ciders had I not needed to ride the bike. The ciders I saw were all around £5 a pint. Not sure of other options and prices.

5 stars all round. Great pub with a good selection of beers and wines. Dining room has a cool atmosphere plus sea views. Food was top class as we're the staff. Plenty of seating outside. Highly recommended a visit

What a really great evening. We had a pint first, from their huge selection of hand-pulled beers, then were shown to a cozy table. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the pace of service was efficient but not rushed. Such tasty food, well-presented and good portions. A very special place, highly recommended.

Fantastic dining experience, lovely view of the pier. The staff went above and beyond to make a birthday celebration special. The food was excellent, the tacos were so succulent and juicy!

Came back second time as we enjoyed it so much the first visit. Friendly staff & nice atmosphere. Busy spot but managed to get a table both evenings as we got here early. Lots of outdoor seating plus restaurant to book too. Had the tuna nicoise twice as it was so good. Husband had the pork ribeye & fish pie & rated both excellent.

Nice pub with good food. Popped in for lunch, was seated straight away and given a quite expensive menu with not your average pub food on. It was delicious, however I probably would have chosen off the much cheaper and simpler lunch menu had I been made aware of it before I ordered! Spent around £80 for 2 courses for 2 people, one alcoholic drink and 1 soft drink.

Managed to get a table, despite not having booked. I'm glad we did as the restaurant has been beautifully done and the food was lovely 👌

What an amazing restaurant we were delighted to find as we move to Cromer. Even without a booking we received a very warm welcome and were amazed it was nearly full on a Wednesday evening in early April. The food was absolutely amazing, portions were generous, prices very reasonable and the service outstanding. We will be seeing a lot of this lovely restaurant!

We arrived without a booking and they arranged to fit us in about half an hour later. Very helpful. The restaurant was packed, every table taken, staff still managed to take drinks and food orders promptly. Special starters were amazing, was good as I've had. Overall the meal was terrific, I had a fish dish which was really nicely spiced. Highly recommended - but try to book in advance.

24th July 2025. We have been coming to Cromer to visit my father-in-law for 15 years and most times we go out to eat here and we are never disappointed. We sometimes get a takeaway but mostly eat in. The owners are welcoming and friendly and you know from the number of people using the restaurant that it is absolutely great. The standard of the food is always excellent. I highly recommend Bann Thai Restaurant if you are in Cromer.

Another really lovely meal here. Great service and excellent food. Have never had anything here that isn't good, tasty, fresh. All left with very full bellies! Service is efficient and friendly. Always get excited about coming here to eat and never disappointed.

Ban Thai are superb! Delicious beautiful fragrant food using quality ingredients.. such a brilliant place.. it’s rare to find places like this nowadays.. I can honestly say this is some of the best food I have ever eaten.. simply love the place been here many times and it’s always memorable

The food is amazing, plentiful, piping hot, the staff are very polite and attentive. If we were for longer we would be going again. Highly recommend this place however do try and book, it was very busy

The atmosphere was certainly like school trip-y, wasn’t bad but not the best. They had nice terrace seats which we enjoyed but that was the only positive part of our experience at this cafe. We ordered English breakfast and cappuccino. Both of them were mediocre at their best. The cappuccino was pretty weak in terms of its flavour but didn’t bother me that much as I didn’t expect great quality. The breakfast was just….i think a 18 yo uni student can cook way better, tomatoes under cooked, toast overly toasted so dry and hard and the mushrooms….absolutely disgusting. Mushrooms need to be cooked in a large enough pan with high ish heat. They didn’t cook them properly that they were steamed more than fried. I see other people’s photos showing “black” mushrooms which is a sing of them being steamed. I mean come on, you charge £11 and give one slice of toast and one egg, one sausage and one bacon which is pretty stingy, at least cook the simplest thing properly if you’re paid to be a “cook”. Id definitely never go back, I think the cafe next door have breakfast which looks 100 times better.

Lovely cafe with a sea view. Attentive staff. Above Lifeboat museum. There is a lift access to the avoid the steep climb. Accessable from the main road shops.

Lovely cafe a mere 5 mins walk from the pier. Located above the lifeboat museum. Cracking location with outdoor seating offering amazing views of the beach and the pier. Indoor seating still has wonderful views. Great selection of meals, cakes and drinks. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Easy access with the lift. Our 1st visit was a tea and cake . Sit on the terrace take time out look put to the sea. If it's windy sit indoors and look out the windows. We returned with our nephew and his family of 4 . Service was good and food was value for money

A lovely place for a seaside meal, snack or coffee and cake. Our 2nd visit. Lovely friendly staff. My crab salad was the best I've had during my holiday in Cromer (I've tried 3 other places!!) My hubby had a handmade beefburger which was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Jacket potato never had so much tuna on one and accompanied salad was perfect our favourite cromer cafe staff so friendly and welcoming

Brilliant place, great views. We recently had the vegan breakfast twice in a month, I'm not vegan but I thought it was a good meal though I did add bacon and a fried egg. It's very popular so get there early in school holidays. It gets full up.

Fantastic restaurant 5 stars all round. Family run business. Realy friendly staff. Local sourced food was delicious. Had the famous 'Cromer' crab fresh off the fishing boat, was amazing. Seating outside has a pretty garden with a fish pond and beautiful plants. Highly recommend a visit.

Our first visit to this lovely cafe today but it certainly won’t be our last. It’s spotless and the staff are extremely friendly. The food is amazing and as we love to visit Cromer for our crab sandwich every year whilst staying in Caistor we have only just found this little gem and it’s definitely the best we’ve had in Cromer. The portions are really good and well worth the price we paid. Can’t wait to visit again next year.

Came here after reading it's reviews and we were not disappointed, pleasant friendly staff, food was excellent, freshly prepared. Judging by comments of people on orher tables they also enjoyed their meals! The melting moments lived up to the expectations of childhood memories! Thank you,wish we lived nearer and could come more often!

Had the best prawn sandwich ever! The bread was sublime, the salad perfect and a pot of hot water with your tea - no one seems to do that anymore. I sat in the lovely little garden and had the best lunch. Thank you ❤️

We popped in for a comer crab sandwich as a takeaway. It was very busy inside but as we had a dog we sat outside to wait in the lovely. Courtyard garden. The man who took our order was really nice and helpful asking us exactly what we wanted and we were not disappointed. Crqb sandwich, salad, crisps, beetroot, coleslaw and all put in a square takeaway container with wooden cutlery, napkins and condiments. Yummy. They also serve vegan food and we could hear from staff talking to customers about the food they do it sounded lovely. Defo recommend £29 for 2

If your in the town then this is the place to eat. The best little cafe in town with great prices, large portions and daily specials. I’ve had the best fish here and now the best warm chicken salad. A proper salad with grated carrot, olives, sweet corn etc nothing boring. Their new potatoes served proper with good real butter and salt on. The owners, Bob, Christine and James are so welcoming too. Such a little Gem of a place.

Fabulous little tearoom style cafe/restaurant. The portion sizes are vast and have a well varied menu, even for fussy kids. Our dogs were welcome and would definitely seek this place out again if back in Cromer!

Very well presented fish and chip shop from the very start. Wait to be seated was very short. Table for 5/6. Quick service. Order taken very patiently. Drinks & main meal. Mini fish & chips £14, normal fish and chips £19. Absolutely excellent meal. Chips, perfect, not oily or saturated. Fish batter, gorgeous. Tremendous view from seated location. Toilets reasonable. Easily accessible. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is right next to the beach so you’ll get a pretty chill-coastal vibe here. The staffs were lovely and enthusiastic. I really love the beef salad but it’s quite sour, the fish and chips were pretty good and well-cooked!

Went Upstairs at No1 in restaurant. Crab souffle starter followed by crab linguine. Food was delicious. Lovely air conditioned room with excellent service. Great views across the water. Thoroughly recommend.

A very popular place located on the sea front. Very busy when we visited but were served fairly quickly. We all ordered haddock and chips. Everything else is extra. The portions are very big and sadly there is a lot of wastage. There are kids portions however which is a good idea. Prices are on the high side. Expect to pay around £20-£25 each.

Amazing food, good friendly service and good views out of the windows. Our favourite chip shop by far. We drive for 2 hours from home just for this food then home again.

We sat in the restaurant and had fish and chips but I guess the most popular choice is take away and have the meal at the benches outside. Takeaway is quite cheaper than dine in and that's where you will see the queue. We didn't see that option before..Lesson learned! But the quality of fish was excellent. I would got there for the fresh catch of the day.

I’ve never been a big fan of fish and chips… until now. After trying No 1 Cromer, I honestly want another! If you’re in Cromer, this spot is definitely worth the visit, even if you’re not a fish-and-chips person like me. It might just change your mind!

Very busy but the staff are always upbeat and make you feel welcome. It’s very memorable spot! I went once 2 years ago with my mum and again 3 days ago and I never forgot the location and details. The food is absolutely spot on. I recommend this place immediately. 🫶

Been hear before had cod and chips enjoyed the meal. On this visit my wife and I had the same meal chips where fine but we found the cod batter over cooked and greasey and the cod quite dark in colour although portions are very generous. Think we will try somewhere else next time.

Short wait, food was pretty bang average , fish overcooked and chips had a weird taste after a while ? £45 for three meals didn’t feel like good value for money. Not worth queuing for !!

Amazing fish and chips. Highly recommend a dinner here. We ate in the restaurant, very good friendly service and the fish was HUGE, moist and steaming hot. I had the regular and husband had the large. It was larger than the photos show!

Managed to get a table as a walk-in on a busy Friday night. Tables and place immaculately clean. Very quick service from arriving, being seated, menu's given, drinks arriving and food, all within 15 minutes. Food was great, fish was fresh, well cooked and decent size. Mushy peas were the tastiest that I've ever had. My only disappointment was that our chips were Luke warm, both for myself and my other half. I can only guess that they had been served on the plate and sat there waiting for the fish to be cooked and put on plate. A real shame really as first time trying this place and not had sit down chippy tea in ages and was looking forward to it. So obviously we have marked a lower score. However, we would go back again and eat from there.

Chips were good, Fish was very moist and fluffy just the batter was on the overcooked side like more overly crunchy Flavours were good, Sausages are good Prices weren't bad. This is a busy place

Honestly some of the best fish & chips I've tasted! I visited after a number of recommendations from local people in the pub just down the road and I certainly wasn't disappointed - fantastic quality and very reasonably priced, didn't have to wait long either! Will definitely be returning. Thanks guys!

We ordered a traditional finger buffet for 20 guests for my special birthday weekend. It was packed very professionally in four large lightweight cool boxes to keep everything fresh. The food was absolutely delicious and the spicy samosas, cocktail sausages and homemade sausage rolls went down a storm as did the rest of the food. The team at The Old Rock Bistro were extremely friendly and helpful. They definitely helped to make my birthday an extra special one, and so much easier than preparing all the buffet food yourself. I think it was amazing value for money, and totally and utterly recommend!!!

We found this cafe whilst walking back to the bus interchange in Cromer, just 3 minutes before it closed at 6 pm on Sunday! We thought they were going to say sorry we’re finished for the day or we’re only doing take away drinks but instead they said come in and made us welcome. We both had a hot drink which was rewarding after our walk along the coast path. And when we left, they gave us a completely unexpected parting take away bag with 4 enormous scones - 2 cheese and 2 current - which we enjoyed with a cuppa later. They were delicious! What a lovely touch and we plan to return when we next visit Cromer soon! Thanks…

Sunday breakfast: brilliant. Porridge can be a variable product when ordered but here it was perfect. Two of us enjoyed a delicious breakfast in a Sunday morning. Restaurant was busy but not crowded.

Thank you so much for the lovely takeaway afternoon tea for my sister in laws baby shower! Everything was so tasty, and we really appreciated how well it was put together. We ordered, at relatively short notice, the 20 person Traditional Finger Buffet for a small family event. The ordering process was flawless, we opted to collect the food and it was ready on time, it arrived very well packaged and chilled and included cutlery, plates, napkins and even takeaway boxes for guests to take any leftovers away with them. Most importantly the food was plentiful and excellent. I thoroughly recommend The Old Rock Shop Bistro for outside catering and although I have yet to eat at the Bistro I have no doubt that the same high standards apply there as well. Thank you Sam and his team for making our day that bit easier.

Best coffee and cake in town by far! The decaf has a really nice smooth taste to it, you almost wouldn’t be able to tell it isn’t caffeinated. Highly recommend the lemon drizzle cake 😆

Was looking in the window of The old rock shop bistro, when a passer-by said they do a great cup of tea. With that I was sold. The Bistro serve hot and cold food and drink. Friendly staff, fast service. They also have art for sale on the walls(photos / paintings). Would recommend.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this seafood grill. The food was excellent, and the staff were warm and welcoming, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. I ordered the daily special, the salmon fillet, and it was cooked perfectly—juicy, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My partner tried the crab salad, which was incredibly fresh and refreshing. Both dishes highlighted the quality of ingredients and the care put into their preparation. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys fresh and well-prepared seafood. I would happily recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

A lovely restaurant with a good selection of food. Portion sizes are excellent and the food is well cooked and presented. Good home cooking. The atmosphere is good, the staff are lovely. The rice pudding was just delicious!

Absolute lovely food could not fault it. We came in yesterday and all enjoyed our food so much and was stuffed afterwards. Service was good and pricing was reasonable. The only reason for not giving this restaurant 5 stars is the fact that the atmosphere caused by one particular staff member was not nice! Moaning to customers about another employee who was not able to do such jobs due to a back problem is not something I want to be sat listening to while trying to enjoy a meal. I understand places have issues amongst staff however voicing this inside the restaurant infront of other customers to a customer is not professional at all or the atmosphere you want to create and for that reason we won’t be returning again tonight.

A very classy establishment, the food is amazing every single time, definitely worth the price. The music is also the perfect volume, adding to the lovely atmosphere of the restaurant, I couldn't recommend dining here enough!

Nice place for lunch! Pies are amazing also good selection on the menu, the only let down was the Cromer crab salad was not to the tast I would normally expect but overall good food!

It was a sunny day and all the cafés were very busy with no places left to sit. And the ever so popular Cromer Crab Sandwiches are being sold out quickly. This place had some left, and we were lucky to get hold of. They tasted great along with a nice cup of tea. Also, we ordered Mushroom soup, which came with bread/butter and was nice. The people who run this cafe are very welcoming and attentive. The place is tucked in a lovely little alleyway and very close to the Cromer beach.

Cozy cafe with delicious cromer crab dishes. Must try the cheese and crab toast, it's incredible!! Golden, crispy toast piled high with a creamy blend of rich crab meat and melted cheese😋😋

I feel very lucky to find this little gem in Cromer. We had crab sandwiches with salad and it was the best sandwich ever. Really good place to stop and refresh. Lovely Lavazza coffee, good service and situation. Recomendable.

Some times busy, good food and friendly Staff

We called in today before heading on our long journey home. We saw your extensive gluten free choices and had lunch with our two kids and our dog. The service was impeccable, warm, welcoming and efficient. The food was delicious. All staff were very informed regarding allergies and communicated choices and risk perfectly. The best big breakfast we’ve had all holiday and the carrot cake was delicious.

Great spot for breakfast! Generous portion sizes and excellent value for money. The service was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. Coffee was spot on. Definitely worth a visit!

Weather is not with us but the crab delivered! A lovely spot slightly tucked away, very well priced and staff very accommodating of our party's various demands and requests! Fresh crab done really well. We had it as a dressed crab salad, sandwich and as a toastie. All were happy with their servings. The huge cups of tea went down a storm. Sated. Alhamdulillah.

Cannot believe it was only one night at The Grove, as we've come home feeling as if we've had a fortnight away. Wonderful. We were celebrating a significant birthday for my husband, and wanted somewhere relatively close to home that would feel special. The Grove was certainly that. We loved our room. The celebration package of fizz, chocolates and flowers was very classy and generous, and we had also opted for an early check-in, so there was time to have lunch outside from the bar menu before our 40 minutes in the pool. Having the pool as private slots is so much nicer than taking potluck, and again, felt very luxurious. We ate in The Garden Rooms - having an aperitif in the bar first, unhurried and well tended by such a friendly staff team. We've never been before but the team made us feel very warmly welcomed and cared for, which is not always easy at such a busy time of year. It was appreciated. We will be back at some point and in the meantime will happily recommend this lovely, family run hotel to others. What a special stay - exactly what we needed.

We booked the day before our visit on an impulse. We arrived early to a great reception and were given a map to navigate the beautiful grounds and woods to the coastal path. From there it was a very slow ten minute walk to Cromer. Slow because we kept stopping to take in the views and capture them on camera. On our return, we booked the swimming pool for 45 minutes of private use. The water was a perfect temperature and, as we had it all to ourselves, half an hour was good enough. We do not eat large suppers so ordered the delicious homemade soup and bread to eat in the garden. Our host, Richard, was very friendly and attentive. Even though the hotel and restaurant were busy, he was generous with his time. The room was clean and well stocked. The toiletries smelled devine and the bed extremely comfortable. We slept well! We would totally recommend this charming hotel.

The initial impression was coming to stay at a period house which added to our stay. Ideally located, in spacious grounds, for walks into the town centre or the cliff tops and beach. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and service very good. The cleanliness of the room was excellant

We recently celebrated my Mum's 70th at the Grove and had a wonderful meal. The food was great and the staff we so attentive and went out of their way to make the evening feel special for my mum. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend for a special occasion dinner. Thank you.

Just home from a lovely relaxing time at The Grove. Only stayed overnight but found the whole place very good. Had never visited The Grove before. My dear friend of 50 years and I decided to celebrate this achievement and we have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food and service was excellent, accommodation fine and the grounds very peaceful and tranquil. If you have the time, book in for a treatment at The Massage Hut....another pleasant experience. Keep doing what you're doing....we will be back!! Thank you to all.

What a brilliant place to eat. Arriving without a booking we were greeted in a friendly and efficient manner and shown to the bar for a drink. The dining room was opulent, the atmosphere relaxed, the food amazing and the service perfect. We are in the process of moving to Cromer and it’s great to know there is such a brilliant place to eat.

What a lovely evening at The Grove, the perfect setting for a special meal. The approach to this lovely building is quite magical as are the beautiful dining rooms, with an inviting, candle-lit table awaiting us after a drink in the lounge. The service was friendly, professional and relaxed throughout and the food absolutely delicious. The perfect setting for a special evening.

Lovley little spot to stop for tea & cake, Dog and baby friendly with highchairs available if needed. Great selection of tea and coffees along with some lovley tasty sweet and savoury treats. Will be back when in the area.

Super service, great selection of cakes and delicious breakfasts. The eggs are really fluffy and the scones are to die for (I got mine heated which raised the bar!) Gluten and vegan options readily available.

The place was easy to find, clean, dog friendly and bright. The food was okay, portion size was good. Service can be improved though. Tried calling the staff multiple of times but no one noticed. Went to the counter twice to get our second order through.

Good cheese scones, mediocre coffee. Most tables are for 6 so staff at the counter seemed reluctant to let 2 of us sit until we suggested other people could share our table (and the place was only half full). Then the card payment gadget asks if you want to pay 10,15 or 25% service charge... I skipped that because a waitress, though pleasant, only had to deliver 2 coffees and scones to our table and we only took up 15 mins in a half empty cafe. Sorry but we won't be going back to this unwelcoming place despite the good scones.

After 25 years my Husband confided that he'd never had a traditional Afternoon Tea. So, as a good wife, I selflessly agreed to take him to Hatters Tea Shop while we were on holiday in Cromer. Obviously, it was a sacrifice on my part, as I can't imagine anything worse than a table full of delicious treats and endless cups of tea, but you know how we wives are, always giving & never thinking of ourselves. Tragically, he really enjoyed it, and is now planning on taking me out for Tea on my birthday, how ever will I cope! If you too are forced to endure exceptional cakes, delicious sandwiches and sublime scones, then I can highly recommend Hatters. The staff were all very sympathetic to my plight and even boxed up the delicacies he couldn't manage, which I was generous enough to help him finish later that day.

Went to Cromer specifically for a crab salad. First place we tried didn't have any crab so decided to try the Crab Pot Cafe. Some reviews were not very complimentary and I must agree that the place could do with a spruce up but the crab salad was delicious. The Cromer crab wa s packed with meat and was extremely fresh. It came with warm new potatoes and warm crusty bread, coleslaw and salad with a choice of dressing. Very delicious. We had a pot of tea to wash it down and that was good as well. Would definitely visit again.

Had lunch here a few weeks ago on a day out in Cromer. We had the crab salads which were really good and fresh and also good value for the price. All the food we saw coming to other tables looked fresh and well presented. Staff were friendly and very nice. We would certainly go here again. Only thing missing is unfortunately there are no toilets facilities.

I wouldn’t return. We waited over an hour for our food while takeaway customers came and went in a fraction of the time. When our meals finally arrived, I was absolutely starving—only to discover that the crab wrap I’d ordered was laughably small. Yes, it was just £8, but the loooong wait and underwhelming portion completely wasted the little time we had to enjoy Cromer. Not worth it at all.

We visited today for a tea and a coffee. It was about 2.30pm. The lady serving told us they had sold out of crab. The drinks cost us £5.00 and they were brought to the table. I enquired if a ladies restroom was available but unfortunately there are no facilities on site. We paid and left the cafe in search of toilet facilities.

Staff were lovely and accommodating to us and our toddler. It wasn’t particularly busy but we had a wait for our sandwiches, and they were quite disappointing. Crab sandwiches - but barely any taste to them, and poor quality of bread.

A delightful cafe in Cromer , stopped for lunch nice choice on menus , I opted for a crab wrap and it was lovely , I also had an iced latte which was excellent the rest of my family's food was also superb. Service staff were very friendly and helpful a must try if you are in Cromer . Dog friendly too .

Fab fab fab. Came here for breakfast and it was the best full English I've had. Everything was so fresh and from the butchers and was cooked perfectly. Staff really lovely as well. A lady who works there makes her own little crochet little fishes and crabs and donates money to a charity, so please have a look a buy one as they are really good and well made. Thanks Crab Pot Cafe, we will be back again soon.

Fabulous food, so nice to have delicious vegan options too. My son can't have dairy as he's intolerant, so he was delighted to have something. He had the vegan cheese toasties, we had jacket potatoes and we all had a bakewell tart, amazing. The staff are very friendly and so kind to my 4 year old son. Thank you.

We ordered a box of sweet treats from Huckleberries Coffee Shop in Cromer and were seriously impressed! Delivery was super quick, everything arrived fresh, and the majority of bakes were vegan, as non vegans we were seriously impressed by the tastes and quality. Our favourite? The pecan and maple cookie – soft, chewy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth!

I always call in here when I visit Cromer, like many before me I'm lured in by the millionaire's shortbread which is one of the nicest things I've eaten in my life! The coffee is very good too. I love the location opposite the beautiful church, I enjoy getting a window seat and watching the world go by. Service always friendly and efficient.

Huckleberries is a lovely spot to stop for a coffee in Cromer. The coffee is consistently good, smooth and well-made, and their chocolate slice is absolutely delicious – rich, indulgent, and worth every bite. A cosy café atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. Definitely a place I’d return to!

My partner & I visited on the bank holiday Monday. Huckleberries have quite the reputation for their vegan options & they did not disappoint today. We ordered an oat flat white, a black americano, a piece of the Biscoff blockie & a slice of the battenburg. Everything was delicious & in hindsight, I wish I'd ordered a second slice of the battenburg! There's plenty of seating with extra tables downstairs & out the front of the building. All the drinks can be made vegan which is amazing (next time I'll definitely be getting a milkshake - they have over 30 syrup flavours). 😍 We will definitely be back! 💚

A recent rediscovery. For vegans and omni friends and the range on offer is amazing (staff are 90% vegan). Staff are welcoming and friendly. We've had, and loved the brownie, chocolate and ginger fridge cake, cherry bakewell and cherry shortbread. Loads of sandwiches and paints available. Coronation Chickpea with salad on granary my absolute fave!! 😍

As others have said, great vegan options especially in the cake selection! Staff were super friendly too, a great find!

A cute pet cafe very close to the beach in Cromer. We stopped by to celebrate my dog's 10th birthday and were very pleased with the service. Small snacks and hot and soft drinks are available for people. They have a nice and extensive menu for dogs. The staff was also very friendly and warm. They took very good care of my dog. We will definitely visit there again when we come to Cromer.

Went with 3 dogs. Plenty space at each table. Made welcome by staff as soon as went in. Was close to closing so only offering cake and coffee with was fine as all we wanted. Dogs had 4 things from the menu, mixed to share and all loved. Cake was nice, as was coffee/ got chocolate.

Booked to celebrate our dogs birthday. Very friendly and attentive staff and not expensive. Had a doggie afternoon treat booked, and they did some finishing touches to our table. There is a decent human menu.Was able to relax with like minded dog owners there so a bit of noise was not frowned upon.Liked the closed in pen idea, we didn't use it but means dogs didn't have to be tied up by the table. Young business which the pandemic had held it back so please go a visit and support a local cafe.

THIS IS AN AMAZING PLACE! We visited Cromer for the weekend and booked in online the day before not knowing what to expect. It was such a brilliant experience, I wish we lived closer to come every week. We were shown to a sofa that we requested on their website with a sign on the coffee table that stated reserved for our dog's name, which was a really special touch. The menu was fantastic with delicious food for humans on one side and specifically designed/catered food for dogs on the other. The staff were so kind and lovely people. Thank you for your excellent hospitality, we very highly recommend this superb establishment!

We couldn't not visit cromer without visiting the famous doggie diner. We booked ahead and our pooches loved their reserved sign on the table. We were welcomed to the Cafe by the friendly team and they gave us water for our dogs straight away. We ordered puppachinos, cheese and chicken for the dogs which was definitely enjoyed. Us humans got paninis, which were large in portion and very yummy. Next time we come to Norfolk we will definitely be revisiting, I would definitely recommend prebooking as they are very popular.

What an amazing place, to be able to take your dog somewhere for them to eat and also us hoomans! Everything from entering was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond to help. Food was delicious and by the wags of our furbaby tail he enjoyed it too. Shame we were on holiday here or it would definitely be a weekly treat !!! A must if you have dogs

Lovely place to go and chill with your dog. It was my dogs birthday, and they made him feel at home. They had a nice selection of dog treats to choose from.

Really good temperature, nice and hot ☕️Location: Plenty of sea front outside seating, wooden chairs, order at the door, ☕️Aesthetic: Wooden, distressed vibe, wooden signs with handwritten menus in a higgledy piggeldy style. This really matches the location. ☕️Service: Super friendly lady and very quick to bring the coffee, even offered my dog a biscuit.

It helps when the sun shines to give any establishment a good review. Warm weather, blue skies, tasty products and excellent customer service... Yes, this business had it all. I mean you couldn't ask for more and although this is a very short review, I couldn't be happier too recommend it. Brill.

Great place to sit outside with friends, drink great coffee and take in the view. Pastries and cakes were delicious. Looking forward to our next visit.

The Caffeine is on the coast, beautiful view, you can sit outside and feel the sea brize. The food is excellent. Sometimes they does Street food evenings, which is very popular with visitors.

Nice coffee stop on the promenade as you enter Cromer from the south. Like the North Sea Coffee Co branding! Charming ladies, tried to tempt me into buying what looked like delicious cake, but managed to resist!! Nice seating overlooking the pier. Lost one star as didn’t give our dogs any cuddles 🐶🐶🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Beautiful light and airy cafe in the heart of Cromer serving 'posh' toasties, cakes and coffees. Lovely staff and amazing artwork everywhere from local artists very reasonably priced. Highly recommend

Fantastic Cappuccino from The Art House 🤌 One of the nicest Ive had for a while! Staff were very lovely and was surprisingly quiet on a Saturday in the summer. Lovely atmosphere inside, quiet and chilled. Will definetly pop in when visiting Cromer again!

Kids loved their GF brownies and hot chocolates. The latte was to die for and my Mocha was, simply divine. Very relaxed atmosphere and the owner and staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.

I find the quality of the cutlery and crockery used generally reflects the quality of the food served. At the Art Cafe there are gold trimmed plates and gold spoons. The food is delicious and gluten free options available. Definitely worth dining here. Dog friendly too.

Popped into this lovely, dog friendly cafe for a quick coffee and cake. The coffee was very good, my husband’s carrot cake was delicious and my lemon squidgy cake was amazing - the sponge was so light! Our pup was also given dog chews by the lovely staff which she ate very happily. A really lovely experience.

We visited No1 Cromer and were absolutely delighted! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with lovely views and attentive service. 🍽️ Main Courses: We ordered a variety of dishes — from the classic fish & chips to a beautifully cooked fillet of fish with sauce and vegetables. Everything was perfectly prepared: the fish was incredibly fresh, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sides were tasty and well presented. We especially loved the fun touch of serving the chips in a bright bucket with a little shovel — such a charming detail! 🍷 Desserts: For dessert, we had the chocolate fondant, brownie with vanilla ice cream, and a light berry dessert with meringue. Each one was a treat! The fondant was perfectly baked with a rich molten center, and the brownie was soft and indulgent. 🥂 A special mention goes to the excellent wine and cocktails — they paired beautifully with the meal. 📍 If you’re in Cromer, No1 Cromer is a must-visit. A perfect spot for lunch with friends or a romantic dinner by the sea.

Visited No1 for the first time Wednesday and will definitely return. The service was fantastic seating us with a table by the window with sea view although we hadn't booked. The food was fabulous monk fish and the crab linguine were cooked to perfection. We will return again soon.

We called in without a booking and, despite being close to closing, received a warm welcome and were seated at a nice table. The fish and chips was excellent and plenty of it too accompanied by a lovely atmosphere and stunning views.

As good a fish and chip supper ever. Good portion yet so good we both demolished one with gravy one eith mushy super service too well. Not cheap but worth every penny

For starters, I had oysters incredibly fresh and my wife had the tomato soup of the day, which was out of this world. For mains, I went for the stone-baked bass, cooked to perfection with seaweed hash and caviar. Every bite was bursting with flavour. My wife had the prawns with chips (which of course I had to taste!) and they were equally fantastic. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the service was spot on, and the prices were very fair for the quality. Upstairs @ NO1 is up there with Scott's (London) and Bentelys Oyster Bar and Grill (London)

Lovely food with a good view over the sea, and friendly service. My only fault would be that the decor and furniture is a bit down to earth for the price paid, it still feels like being in a bog-standard fish and chip shop rather than a restaurant.

This place definitely met our expectations. The food was amazing scallops/ whole lobster/ antipasti. The staff were amazing so attentive and friendly it’s rained during our visit so we decided to have a few extra drinks and the staff made us more than welcome to stay and moved some things around so we could stay on our table. Thank you guys. Great job 😍

Had a wonderful afternoon tea. Lovely garden. And loads of seating. They have pizza evenings. They have camping pods. I couldn’t recommend the place highly enough.

Just had a really great afternoon tea at The Grive. We were given three different options where we could have our tea and as the sun was shining, we chose to sit in the garden. The yea stand arrived with 4 different flavoured sandwiches, cheese straws, sausage rolls, scones, jam and cream plus two beautiful pastries each. Everything was fresh, extremely tasty and luscious. We’ve had afternoon tea in several hotels in North Norfolk but this was certainly the best and most enjoyable. We could not have asked for a nicer location and wonderful tea!!

We had a traditional afternoon tea at the Grove 03/12/22 and I can only say it was fantastic and so homely. Well worth a visit.
