My favorite Japanese restaurant in Norwich, offering authentic Japanese cuisine. However, I have to say it's more expensive and the food is less. The side dish in lunch bento is gone. The portion of seafood tempura is also smaller and with no seaweed Chikuwa. Last picture is the same dish I had a year ago.

Super lovely experience at Shiki! I’m vegan and went with non vegan friends and was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options ! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and calm. The atmosphere was also really lovely ! I would recommend to friends. The only improvement I could think of was to offer a vegan option on the desert menu - other than that it was just a really great time and great food !

Fantastic little restaurant. Little bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for - the Wagyu was absolute perfection. Bento box was great too. Highly recommend you treat yourself and come here

Our favourite is the dream roll. We have to order it every time when we visit. Though we come from Asia and there are many sushi restaurants where we live, still we can’t find any restaurant have this menu. Chicken katsu is also one of my favourites. We will definitely come here again.

To wrap up my girlfriend’s 30th, we went to Benedicts, and it honestly blew us away. We had the 9-course tasting menu, and every dish was a standout. Beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly well thought out, each course flowed nicely into the next. The staff were brilliant too. Friendly, professional, and never overbearing, they really helped make the night special. Meant to write this review a while back, it’s been some time now, we still think about that meal every now and then, and plan to go back soon.

Took my partner here for his birthday recently, and wow - what a beautiful restaurant. We both chose menu 1, I chose the vegetarian menu for myself. The food was incredible, each plate was beautifully presented and a delight to the senses. Next time I think I’ll try the wine pairing too. The staff were so friendly and knowledgable, dishes were served very quickly. We loved everything and would happily visit again in future!

My oh my, what a first class establishment we are blessed to have in Norwich! The service was exemplary as staff knew the answer to every question we asked. They handled my allergy with professionalism and zero fuss. And all so young, a real asset to the team here. We really liked the option of picking the paired wines by the glass, as some people don't want the full flight. Now how to describe the food... imaginative, delicious, quality, beautiful. Beautifully put together menu, we went for menu 2. The rice cracker aperitif and lobster ravioli were our favourites. Service was attentive without being too much. One of the gems of the Norwich food scene.

A fantastic evening at Benedicts. Our first visit but it will definitely not be the last. We had the set menu 2 and out of the all the fantastic dishes, the Lobster ravioli and ex-dairy cow sirloin were the absolute stand outs for us. We also had the wine pairing which was an excellent compliment to the meal and our waitress did any excellent job of giving a full run down on each, giving the detail of the wine and why it had been paired with the dish. Very professional team, friendly atmosphere and great food. We will be back on our next trip to Norwich.

A great dining experience in Norwich. Got the booking easily when we had gone during the day around city centre. Great atmosphere, delicious food, courteous staff. One of the best English cuisine we have ever had. Definitely worth visiting in Norwich.

Value for money - we visited on a Saturday night. I'd recommend trying it on weekdays eve or lunch. Service - They were very nice & hard working but needed to be trained in different areas, especially in a Michelin restaurant. The young lady who served us unfortunately didn't know how to serve wine, and forgot our water. We are supposed to have the coffee & Petit four in our premium tasting menu, but she told us it's a supplement & costs extra (that's indeed applied to the five course menu). She seems not familiar with the menu. Thanks for the great Saturday eve and all the very best to RH's restaurant.

The food was brilliant. We both had the 7 course and a premium wine flight. Service was very good and the entire evening was fantastic. Staff were attentive while still giving you enough space to chat and enjoy the evening. Never made to feel out of place or that we didn't know enough to appreciate the food or wine.

My partner and I went here for lunch after a stressful morning and decided to go for the 3 courses. It did not disappoint at all. First of all, it's a nice clean restaurant. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcome as soon as you come through the door. We were a little late for our booking but they didn't mind. It had a real decent list of drinks, especially wines, but we decided to go with a craft ale. We recieved an amazing amusebouche (complimentary pre-starter) and freshly baked bread whilst we waited for our starters. It wasn't too long before the starters arrived. All the food was great, we had a cheese board to share which they kindly brought out to us on separate plates. We decided to have a coffee to top it off at the end, which came with delightful little chocolates. The service was brilliant. Our waiter Richard was polite and attentive and explained what was in each dish with a lot of detail. A true fine dining experience. Thanks to Richard and the team! Can't wait to go back

Totally amazing restaurant, quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. Everything was presented and cooked to perfection. The quality was second to none, the service was incredible and the information about each dish was first class. It is without doubt the place to go and I'm looking forward to going back again.

Small, intimate restaurant in a lovely part of Norwich. Menu was simple, and the food not overly fussy. We had the 3 course lunch for £30, and left feeling the right level of full. Highlight was the pork belly, puy lentils that came with the tortellini and the Bakewell tart. Low point was the mushroom tortellini which was too raw and not enough depth of flavour. Staff were friendly and very attentive.

What a find, we were a last minute walk-in on a Saturday night and they could fit us in! So happy they could! My starter of fig and burrata with a honey and rosemary cake was so delicately flavoured but packed with freshness I slowed down my pace to savour every bite! The cake was soft in the middle and chewy around the sides because of the honey, it was extraordinary! Same to be said of the simple but amazing main; scallop pasta. I could taste each individual flavour and the scallops melted in my mouth. Our new favorite date night restaurant for sure! Service was perfection too!

Called on for lunch on a Sunday while a brief stop in Norwich on route back from the coast. Two very good pasta dishes with both the sauce and pasta cooked very well with a good balance and proportion. Service was prompt and efficient, would recommend.

A standout Italian in Norwich First time visiting Norwich and we had lunch at Benoli — what a fantastic experience! We started with the 24-month parmesan croquettes, which were perfectly crispy and packed with flavour. As antipasti, we shared the lardo black pudding with apple, celeriac, and pancetta — easily the best black pudding dish I’ve had in a long time: beautifully balanced, rich in umami, and incredibly tasty. The beef carpaccio was another highlight, with all the flavours coming together like they were made for each other. For pasta, we shared the carbonara and the tagliolini with shellfish bisque. Both featured excellent handmade pasta with great texture and strong flavour. That said, there were a couple of elements missing that could have really brought the pasta dishes to the next level — but they were still well above average. All in all, Benoli stands out as one of the best Italians I’ve visited recently — and that includes places in Cambridge and London. If you're in Norwich and craving quality Italian food, I highly recommend stopping by Benoli.

I'd been wanting to visit Benoli for some time and booked lunch for mine and my friends joint 50th Birthdays. The welcome was warm and the tables are nicely spread out. Light music in the background. We tried the white sauvignon which was great. Smooth and very easy drinking. The garlic brioche was delicious. The starters were amazing. Hake Kiev for me and black pudding for my friend. The fish was cooked to perfection. The black pudding dish was outstanding.. plenty of earthy black pudding, crunchy and creamy celeriac, salty lardo.. pinenuts and sweet raisin sauce. .. fantastic dish. Certainly recommend it. Unfortunately the mains were a let down. Lamb shoulder ragu. Great pasta, but the dish was far too salty for both of us and bitter strong with garlic. We couldn't taste the lamb. We did both eat it as were hungry but I wouldn't order it again I'm afraid. As with each dish we were asked if everything was OK and I was honest and my feedback was listened to and respected which was great. We both had dessert of tiramisu.. it was delicious.. crunchy, rich, creamy, chocolatey and in the centre a hit of coffee. I really enjoyed it and it was lovely of the staff to also give us a sorbet and happy birthday dish on the house. We were also refunded the dessert on the basis of our experience with the main dish which wasn't expected but was really lovely of them. With tip it £70 each. The service was excellent and the starters and desserts perfect. I do recommend and would come back but would chose a different main course. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We were 5 for lunch and ordered 2 starters to share and 1 main each. Incredible Italian food - everything well prepared, delicious and large portions. More than enough food for everyone (we didn’t even had space for dessert). As starters: Burrata, fig, rocket & almond pesto, honey focaccia and Beef carpaccio. As mains: - (1) Parmesan Agnolotti, Tuscan summer truffle - (3) Tagliolini, shellfish bisque, sea herbs, basil & bottarga - (1) Ondine, lamb shoulder ragu, rosemary pangrattato & salted ricotta Very nice environment, elegant and well decorated. Staff were nice and attentive. They easily accommodate us for Sunday lunch however I recommend to book in advance.

Really good food and a groovy place. Stopped here for some lunch and would recommend a visit. Only reason atmosphere is a 4 is because we went on a weekday and it was quite quiet in there. We got the set lunch menu. 1 with Gnocchi for the main which was delicious and fresh, the other with a fish cake which was also very nice. They have the lunch portion sizes down to a T as we left feeling satisfied but not too full that we needed an afternoon nap.

Had a great Friday lunch with my mom. Comfort and delicious food. May set menu was definately worth it! Hope to come back again while next time visiting Norfolk ☺️

We chose Farmyard for one of our special meal, and it was certainly the right choice! We had the 3 course set menu, everything was delicious, great flavours and well balanced together Lovely atmosphere and great service Highly recommended!!

A quiet lunchtime service on a Tuesday, but attentive enough to make the meal a pleasure. Food was good, with great local ingredients and good flavours. Amazing artwork on the wall by local and Scrawl Collective member, Will Barras too, which makes the establishment a visual delight too. Something many establishments cannot claim. A definite recommend, should you be in the vicinity.

First visit to the Farmyard which was lovely, the wine we selected was excellent and we went for the rib of beef to share. I ordered medium rare but my wife struggled so we asked to cook her steak a little bit more which was no trouble. Only criticism would be that in addition to the massive rib of steak was a small bowl of chips to share between two. Considering the dish to share was £80, a small bowl of chips between two was a bit stingy. All said, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Amazing experience. The food is fantastic from the ideas to the plating to the flavours. The chocolate bar didn't fail to live up to it's name. If I had one suggestion, that would be to be more descriptive in the menu of where the ingredients come from for each dish. For a restaurant that boasts about local ingredients, it's nice to know more about exactly that. We loved the whole experience though.

Visited for the first time with family and friends. The food was exceptional, good size portion for me, incredible taste and presentation! The service quite relaxed, not disturbing you every 5 minutes to check in with you. We were amongst first clients, the service seemed a bit slow, but it did not really bothered me. They have a good variaty of beverage. The atmosphere at the table was lovely, but music too loud and the style playing didn't really fit in (club style music) which personally I didn't mind, but I believe a jazz or somthing smooth would have been in better sync with the place. The chairs not too comfortable, and nowhere to put your coats (I had a long coat and the chairs are low). Some degree of child friendliness, but not really suitable for toddlers, very few options of meals @dinner time (in our case), mine had a sandwich and other bits brought from home. However, they have baby highchairs. Overall, I believe it was a nice experience and I would gladly visit again!

Great steak. Great red wine. Unique dishes such as mutton taco and bone marrow fudge doughnut (red miso cabbage- omg!) Amazing service, shout out to Bryan for looking after us, he was fantastic! Being gluten free then menu was super friendly and chefs were accommodating to GFO options. If you’re at x2 definitely do the counter experience.

Entering the building through a shared door with a nightclub I wasn't sure if I was lost but the very polite bouncer assured me I was in the right place. We scored a corner table which we were grateful for, to people watch and get a sense for Norwich. Service was excellent, and we sensed we were in for something special once they crossed our cut of 78 day matured hereford beef from the chalk board. Nothing disappointed, from the creative and perfectly executed small plates to the perfectly prepared steak and puddings. We would be back sooner if only we lived closer.

I had my first visit to Brix and bone last night as a birthday treat. I didn’t know what to expect but had heard good things. I was enchanted. From the antlers as chandeliers to the foraged ingredients. We had booked to sit at the counter so we had a view and not the kitchen. The menu is small which I prefer ( a little done to perfection) than a long list I can’t decide between. The beef cuts are listed on chalk board and when sold are marked off. The service was exemplary. I will definitely be going back.

We had booked a table for two on the occasion of my birthday, but didn't really know what to expect. At first, we couldn't actually find the place, despite being guided by Google maps, because it's tucked away on the first floor of a building and with only a rather non-descript sign outside. When entering the building, we were asked whether we had a reservation, and when going upstairs and entering the place, it became clear that they don't really need to advertise their presence outside, as it clearly seems hugely popular amongst people who know about it. In a way, it felt like entering a VIP club... The restaurant is much smaller than I had anticipated, and at first we felt a bit disappointed at being led to a small high table in the centre of the room. But when we realised what a special place it is, all hint of a disappointment instantly vanished. Meat cannot be selected from an ordinary menu, but must be ordered off handwritten boards, and there is only a very limited number of each cut, clearly labelled from which farm they come from. It's all about local produce, quality and presentation. This is a very special place, very different from ordinary steak houses, and it turned out to be the perfect place for my birthday meal!

Had my first dine-in experience at Grosvenor Fish Bar and really enjoyed it. I ordered the whitebait which was absolutely delicious, while my partner had the mackerel and loved it too. One thing I did notice though they used to provide Tabasco, but now you have to buy the “Chillie Bang Bang,” which unfortunately wasn’t spicy at all. Still, the food itself, especially the whitebait, was spot on and worth coming back for. I would highly recommend anyone to come over to get their fish & chips, or probably try the whitebait you won’t be disappointed!

Grosvenor Fish Bar, an assuming American style quirky chippie that serves clam burgers and fried green tomatoes so tried them. The clam burger reminds me of canned clams from the US but the patty also had other stuff which gives it a garlic bread taste. The fried green tomatoes were a bit too hard for my liking while the tomato slices were not juicy. The basement of this restaurant is a must visit.

Came here 2 and a half years ago and the flavour of the fish n chips was incredible. I decided it was the best fish n chip shop I’ve been to but unfortunately the last 2 times I’ve been all of the food has been extremely bland.

DISAPPOINTED! I used to come here years and years ago when it was ran by a different owner. That owner made this place the best Fish and Chips place on planet earth. Now it’s just NOT the same. Very disappointed ☹️ There used to be all kinds of free sauces, chilli powder salt, like you could tell they wanted everyone to have a good experience. Everything used to be perfect. Now it’s nothing but disappointment. I won’t be coming back here but I’ll be going to the chip shop in the market instead. Truly disappointed as this used to be my favourite place to have fish and chips. Also chilli con chips is terrible. Go to any other place and you’ll get amazing meaty chili con chips, here their default is veggie. So idk you could make it at home better than this. Please to better then maybe you’d get more people coming here. This place used to be impossible to get a seat it was that good. Now it’s just sad honestly sad. Really wished it was like how it was before💔

We're local pensioners and have often passed the shop, packed out with customers as rule. Out of our budget and has been for years, sadly. Except on very special occasions. Still, when our son and family popped up from London and wanted to spare me cooking, I suggested good old fish and chips and quite naturally chose the one that I had seen was very popular. It wasn't special though. The cod wasn't flaky and was more like frozen reformed, apart from the skin. No bones and soggy. The batter oozed cooking oil. So, together brought back memories of a pretty typical corner shop that rarely changed its oil and set the temperature high. The chips were plentiful but not left in long enough, or the oil hot enough. So not crispy on the outside. A lot of chip shards rather than full size chips. Good old fish and chips indeed. Shame. No comparison to the Sheffield fish and chips we had at Christmas. With the price of cod and chips so high, we'll wait until Sheffield at Christmas once more. Too expensive to try the other local chippies. Sad. We had to reheat them as the delivery guy had another order to pick up elsewhere before coming to us. I didn't know they did that. Might have been far better eaten in the shop. Not the chippies fault of course.

A delicious English fish and chips. The batter is crunchy and not so oily which paired well with the cod fish. Haddock taste is stronger and the meat is harder. A generous plate of chips can share 2 person. The fried tiger prawn is good too. Love the ingredients which are fresh catches. Recommend the mushy peas for the side. The basement seating place is cooler but it’s oily everywhere which make us uncomfortable.

Grosvenor Fish Bar truly lives up to its reputation – it probably serves the best fish & chips in the city, or at the very least, it’s definitely one of the most highly rated spots for a reason. The fish is crispy, the chips perfectly cooked, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. Despite a long line of delivery drivers picking up orders, the service was impressively fast and efficient. The staff were friendly and kept everything moving smoothly, which made the wait feel minimal. I also tried the sea bass roll – a delicious surprise! Fresh, flavorful, and a nice change from the usual options. Prices are a bit higher than the market stalls nearby, but the quality more than justifies it. If you’re looking for a proper fish & chips experience in Norwich, this is the place to go.

Came here for valentines day as I had a gift card. They had a great variety of cakes and pastries on the counter as well as lots of drinks. To my understanding they also have a dessert tasting menu but we didn't try this. We got 2 drinks (iced latte and classic hot choc) and 3 bakes (raspberry and white chocolate blonde, salted caramel brownie, smores thing) for £21 it was all delicious and very filling as far as desert goes. We sat in and the seating and decorations were lovely. They even had read roses out on the tables which I thought was such a nice touch. The staff were also lovely and very welcoming. Would come again!

Nothing but 5stars will do. Fantastic service, creative and delicious desserts in a lovely atmosphere, we even took a couple of cakes home to enjoy later. Highly recommend a visit and will certainly return to try the tasting menu!

I have been here before and I really like their desserts. We tried the cheese cake and really liked it. Ice cream is served with the cakes and it's not that sweet, so it pairs really nicely. The food itself was really good as always. However, we didn't have a nice experience with the staff. The person behind the counter was very rude. When we came in, they were cleaning around and didn't take notice of us for a bit. When we helped ourselves to our seats the person was very impatient with us ordering and was not very helpful. It felt like they rather just have us leave. It's not nice to feel like you are not welcome at a place. It's not like we went in an odd hour or we're being difficult. I do like their desserts but I don't think I would go there again because of the experience we had.

We came in for coffee and cake after having the most amazing sandwich next door. We had a selection of cakes and each one was lovely. Probably a bit greedy but the quality of cakes meant that it wasn’t sickly, would highly recommend the stout chocolate as it was lovely and chocolaty but not too sweet. Absolutely one of the best cake shops in the world, not just Norwich.

A modern little cafe/ dessert bar to sit in and enjoy. Friendly staff and lovely owners and tons of cakes and indulgent desserts that are all unique and deliciously perfect. I had the snickers which was so good and beautifully presented, a generous portion and taking all the elements of a snickers onto a plated dessert and not bad prices. Also have had their cakes which are moist and flavourful. I would put this to the top of my list of cafes to come to if you have a sweet tooth or just want a delicious home-made treat.

Every time I have been I have had delicious desserts amazing wine and a wonderful experience. Really small and cosy space. The dessert tasting menu is an absolute dream.

We had an intimate wedding reception here just a couple of weeks ago (early June), and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Sebastian was the perfect host, taking care of everything, even though he was probably up against it, as all the planning was very loose on our side! Pretty much all the arrangements were done by email or video, with a couple of quick drop ins. The canapés were delightful and the food was fabulous. I forgot to take pictures after the canapés because it was all so delicious we all got stuck in!! The service was excellent, we had everything that was wanted to make this the most perfect wedding. Thanks so much Sebastian and also for all the wonderful waiting staff and the fabulous chefs! ❤️

The last is a beautiful restaurant, I highly recommend whoever is visiting Norwich, the food is amazing, the way they present the food, the quality and of course makes the perfect vibes when having either a catch up or a special occasion. The service is 5 star, from the waitress and of course the manager who I personally know, and watching him do his thing shows he has great passion for this restaurant. The question is am I coming back 100%.

We had a simply delightful dinner at The Last today. From the moment we stepped through the door, the service was absolutely impeccable - the staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome throughout our entire meal. The food was equally impressive. We started with a delicious twice baked cheese soufflé, which was beautifully light and full of flavor. For mains, the fillet of beef was both exquisitely prepared and presented. The beef was cooked to perfection! To finish, the blood orange and buttermilk pudding was a refreshing and indulgent end to the meal. The overall dining environment at The Last was excellent as well. The restaurant has a lovely, intimate atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and comfortable. We will definitely be returning!

I held my best friend’s hen party at The Last Wine Bar and it was absolutely perfect! The afternoon tea was delicious – beautifully presented and full of flavour. The staff were so attentive and genuinely lovely, making us feel really special from start to finish. A massive thank you to the manager, who was incredibly generous and went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable. We left with full hearts (and stomachs!). We’ve just arrived home (to our holiday rental) from the loveliest Sunday roast. We were a group of 16 including 2 small children which is never that easy to cater for. The service from the staff was wonderful. They were incredibly attentive without being overbearing and made our meal perfect. The roast was exactly what you would expect- but better. We found ourselves in Norwich for a few days unexpectedly. It was coming up to our wedding anniversary so made the decision to identify a fine dining restaurant in Norwich and all of our searches kept bringing us back to the Last. What we can we say; This place hits all of the marks. Upon walking into the restaurant, it is apparent that this is a special place. Front of house was Sebastian who showed us to our table and described the Chefs specials and recommendations. My husband chose the trout for starters, a dish perfectly prepared and presented. Even for a non fisher lover like myself, I found myself jealous of his choice as it was so delicious and fresh. For the mains, I chose the Chicken. I always thought it would be difficult to rate chicken but this was simply the most delicious chicken I have ever eaten. So tender and juicy, it melted in my mouth. My husband went for the Wagu beef which was equally as amazing. Throughout the meal, Sebastian was available to answer any questions we had. Sebastian never crowded us but was always available and we found ourselves in awe of his knowledge and experience of a fine dining experience, including the wine recommendations. Our only regret of choosing this restaurant is knowing it is not more local to us. However, if for no other reason, The Last restaurant will always give us a reason to visit Norwich again. Thank you so much Sebastian and colleagues for such a wonderful dining experience.

Great music playing on a record player no less and Fleetwood Mac - so good. Friendly service as I didn't have a booking but seated nevertheless. Chose 3 dishes which was too much for 1 person. Excellent calamari rings, grilled aubergine with miso, pork tacos. Tacos could have had more spice for me. Obviously popular for good reason.

I have to say probably the best experience I've had at any restaurant! It was my partners birthday and they were more than happy for me to supply my own cake and also there was no judgement on the relationship we have (we're a same sex couple) the whole team went above and beyond to make it as special as they could. My partner is a very sentimental person and was almost in tears of joy from the experience! Also the food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing too. Definitely worth going too, absolutely beat my high expectations and is definitely a new standard for the restaurant industry. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💓 - Conor and Jon

This place is awesome! The prices are reasonable, the portions are sizable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is incredible, this was easily the highlight of my trip to Norwich. It’s a must-eat if you’re in town for any length of time. It’s a great option to get tapas and share with your group, or to get them just for you - and you’ll definitely be full at the end!

I had a birthday meal at Blue Joanna - they accommodated a big group of us outside which was lovely on a summery evening! The food, drink and service were all excellent. Great vegan options. The atmosphere inside looked great also!

Highly recommend visiting Brick if the opportunity presents itself. Ordered the Pizza Napoli & Dough Balls (with garlic butter) - see pics. Service was fast & efficient, inside was clean & well-maintained, & the food itself was just something else. 5 stars.

I’ve visited Brick many times in the decade since it opened next to Norwich market and it remains to be my choice for best pizza the city has to offer. Whether you want to eat indoors as they prepare your order in the stone oven, sit outside with a drink at the Garnet pub or in their own garden - there are plenty of ways to enjoy it. Even still it can get quite busy. The pizzas themselves have a large doughy crust with high quality local ingredients and score highly amongst others I have tried, both here and abroad. If you want a great Neapolitan style pizza in Norwich then Brick is a must visit.

Very delicious pizza. They make it right in front of you with all the magic spinny stuff. Felt very fancy as a result. The waiters were friendly and helpful. I can really recommend the white base with fennel sausage, that was a spectacular pizza. Thing I would do to improve is to give actual wine glasses. I didn't like drinking a bottle of wine from table glasses.

Brick is a fairly small pizza restaurant bordering the market with about 20 seats inside with more outside (didn’t see though as it was at back) with a modern industrial feel ( brick &metal) We ordered veggie & pepperoni pizzas which arrived within 3 minutes. We visited Italy last year and Bricks pizzas were like the Italian ones, just as good.

Lovely market not every single shop is open but can get quick busy during lunch time, very reasonable pricing most of the shops, £4 can get you a massive sausage and egg roll in the morning and 70p for a cup of tea, we also tried some bubble tea and drinks here, quite nice as well, must go have a visit if you travelling to Norwich.

Lots of stalls, selling all from fresh Cromer Crabs, to working mens jeans lol, could happily spend a few hours looking around, and very central to other local shops, banks and sights of the city.

You can find a bit of everything here from tasty street food and fresh produce to handmade crafts and unique gifts. The food stalls are especially impressive, offering dishes from around the world at great prices. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy local culture, grab a bite, and take in the lively atmosphere. Well laid out on a tight grid to make the most of the space in this central square. It's well worth spending time meandering through the small stalls. Many of the stallholders are warm and friendly without pressuring you into parting with your cash.

Markets sell all sorts of stuff, food , clothes crafts, fruits and vegetables. It’s like a mini version of Camden Market. Street food from around the globe, you won’t be disappointed.

We decided on a last minute meal out on Saturday night, only booking the table for 20.00 forty minutes in advance, and I'm glad we did as the food and service was fantastic. Papadums with what was clearly home made pickles and Mirchi Pakoda (chilli fritters) were a great start to the night. For mains we went for Mushroom Kadai with rice, Masala dosa, with a sambar and coconut chutney and two nan breads. We both opted for non alcoholic drinks, including Blood Orange and Ginger soda (bloody marvellous!) and a cucumber and mint mocktail. As a fan of chai I decided to finish with a vegan masala chai that was to die for. The best thing about Namaste is not having to ask 'is this dish vegan' or 'do you have vegan/vegetarian options'. The staff were so friendly and we even had a free bonus side dish to try between courses. Our meal worked out roughly £35 per person but it was worth every penny and we'll be back soon and won't leave it as long between visits. Thank you Craig and Becky x

Had the special Thali set menu on the Diwali weekend. It was absolutely delicious. The food here is just 👌 Also had a mocktail which was lovely and felt like a real treat! Perfect place for a catch up and lovely friendly staff. Great for veggies and vegans! 🌱

Amazing food and really attentive and caring staff. All lovely especially the girl who first served us, didn’t catch her name but very friendly and cheery. 100% recommend - especially the mojito and the Lamb Labbadar. Will definitely be coming back!

We finally made it for breakfast and it did not disappoint- we had the keema parathe, the hash chaat, and the scrambled tofu naan roll (comes with chilli jam and cream cheese inside) - it was so delicious. Highly recommend the breakfast here - great for groups/families too.

The Ivy Brasserie, whatever it's location, rarely disappoints. For some reason, they have been able to secure large premises in prime locations, in the traditional style of French brasseries. The decor is characterised by a blend of classic and contemporary elements, creating a sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere. There is always something for everyone on the menu. This time I ordered the beef fillet with peppercorn sauce, with mashed potatoes and stem broccoli on the side. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The meat was cooked to perfection, the mash divine, and the broccoli fresh and tasty. Service couldn't be faulted, so it was a great evening with exquisite food and drink!

Genuinely blown away in every possible department. Visited for the first time last night and everything was above and beyond, I had salt and pepper tempura squid, sirloin steak followed by frozen berries, my partner has scallops, lobster linguine and then chocolate bombe, and it was almost certainly the best food we have ever eaten, simply superb, my partner also enjoyed the cocktails, the wine list is also extremely extensive. Our server Connor was absolutely fantastic as well.

An amazing breakfast the flavours were astronomical you could actually taste everything it was so fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were magnificent and so polite. We had a voucher for my 70th BD and used it here they threw i a suprise desert for me which was so gracefully accepted although I did struggle to finish it as the breakfast was huge. So we'll done Ivy Norwich we'll be back 10/10 for everything

It’s the sort of setting that encourages you to take your time and enjoy each part of the experience. The menu offers a strong range of contemporary dishes, catering to a wide variety of tastes. I opted for the chicken, which was cooked to a high standard—tender, well-seasoned and served with accompaniments that complemented the main dish without overwhelming it. The portion size was generous without being excessive, and presentation was clean and modern. A particular highlight was the cotton candy topped icecream. It’s clearly designed to be the showstopper, and it succeeds—visually striking, with balanced flavours and textures. It’s rare to find a dish that manages to be theatrical and genuinely enjoyable to eat, but this one delivered. Service throughout the meal was attentive and polite. Staff were available when needed but never intrusive. They had good product knowledge and made thoughtful recommendations, which added to the overall experience. Graduation dinner for our daughter . We booked the Ivy as we always enjoy our meal there all around the country . We were unaware that they were doing a choose of set menu Graduation dinner if you wanted it . We decided to as all liked the choices . Being a set menu it was fantastic value however not reduced in portion size or the presentation . Our server Jordan was fantastic, humour attention conversation and recommendations thanks so much Ivy Norwich and Jordan the graduation celebrations could not have been more perfect 🤩

My granddaughter took me for afternoon tea for my birthday. It was super! I especially enjoyed the savouries which were delicious and so much nicer and more interesting than the usual sandwiches and sausage rolls.

My girlfriend and I recently visited for high tea. We enjoyed a selection of sandwiches and their unique vanilla chai tea made with rooibos. The atmosphere was quiet and inviting, nice for a laid-back afternoon. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Exactly what we were looking for. The cafe is in a lovely quiet position away from roads etc down a pretty alley way. We got a friendly greeting and could choose our table. We had builders tea and delicious scones that had just been made. It was so relaxing just watching people going about their day whilst enjoying our tasty elevenses. Would recommend to holiday makers and locals like us. We feel so lucky to have lovely cafes like this to visit.

First time in the new cafe. Same fantastic service . Delicious cakes and bakes including gluten free and dairy free. Great quality coffee and a huge selection of teas snd tisanes. Will definitely return.

Whenever I’ve gone here it’s always been busy but delightful. I’m not surprised how busy it is though because, 1) the food and drink is absolutely delicious. 2) the prices are reasonable and affordable. 3) the atmosphere is homely and cosy. 4) and the staff are friendly and welcoming

My friend and I popped in today and couldn’t resist all those delicious looking cakes on display. Each of us got a slice - which was HUGE - and honestly, my lemon and blueberry drizzle cake was the best I’ve ever tasted! Carrot cake was absolutely delicious too! I will definitely be back soon!

Such lovely food. My favourite was the mussels, with both desserts we had being a close joint second. We don’t always have dessert but so glad we did. Now I feel mean for placing the mains third, they were of course very good. Will definitely be returning to try the new menu in the spring.

I had such a lovely meal here for our wedding anniversary last night. The food was delicious, special & catered really well for me as a vegetarian. I loved the service - very attentive but natural and not intrusive. Much prefer this approach to someone interrupting my conversation to tell me exactly what climate the grapes in my wine had come from. A really special restaurant

Went here for a double date after my partner had been recommending it for a good while, the atmosphere was very charming, the food tasted amazing, there was lots to choose from on the menu and the staff were very polite. While the drinks were slightly expensive this was not much of an issue as the taste, quality and portion sizes 100% made up for any shortcomings. I would definitely recommend here for dates or larger groups looking to share food and get a good conversation in.

I visited this restaurant and had an enjoyable experience. The ambiance set a friendly tone for the meal, and the courses flowed seamlessly. We started with the dim sum platter that offered a pleasing selection of flavors and textures. The mains were solid and very tasty; my plate was piled high with noodles... Certainly no complaints there! For dessert we opted for the custard bao (a dish we hadn't tried before), which featured a wonderfully sweet, rich, and creamy center. While the prices were on the higher side, the food was great and the staff were attentive and friendly, would recommend.

This is one of my most favourite places to eat out. It is a family run business, and the service is al fast and friendly and very attentive. It's not the cheapest of places to visit, but if you come as a group, there would be enough to share around and make it cheaper, and doggy bags are not a problem. That said, the drinks are a little pricey, but all in all, we were happy with both food and bill.

We went to try the new dim sum menu. The food was lovely. Hot and delicious. The noodles and rice were also very good. Friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go again.

The food was absolutely delicious! As well as the mock tails which were full of colour and taste. Staff were welcoming and keen to get us a table which was appreciated, especially as we didn’t have a booking. My only gripes is that we were way too full because we ordered to much and we explained it was our first time so it would have been nice to have a bit more ordering guidance. Will definitely be back tho! Stunning vegan cheese cake.

A lovely place with friendly staff. I’m not a vegan, went with two friends who are and loved all the food. We ordered small plates to share: tostadas, lentil pancakes, Arancini, bao buns and quesadilla. Arancinis were a bit on the heavy side but other than that everything was super tasty. We had lemonades to drink: strawberry and basil and blackberry and mint. Both delicious and so rich that we kept adding water to them and they lasted till the end of the meal. We finished off with a strawberry tart, which my friends liked and I wasn’t too impressed but this might be because I’m not even a vegetarian. Anyway, this place is not very cheap but definitely worth visiting.

Really incredible place, and this review coming from a meat eater. I do like to eat vegan food from time to time, and the food selection here is great. Price of items very reasonable too, and the coffees were delicious. The spices and flavours were on point, and you do it like a tapas selection. But the portion sizes are really good as well, so I’d recommend two main plates and a side plate that would soon fill you up. Would recommend to everybody and shall be returning again. Thank you 👍🏻

This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant, and the perfect place for a vegan. Firstly, the service is absolutely excellent. They are polite, kind and very attentive. The food itself is also absolutely lovely, and there is a wide range of different tapas options. The drinks are also absolutely lovely, and I’d recommend the cocktails here which are first class. There is also a lovely vibe, and the prices are fairly reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Had a great meal here on Sunday, cocktails were super boozy and tasty, the food was fantastic and I'd been keen to try the juicy marbles steak for ages, the waitress was lovely, reasonably priced dinner and the decor was great. Only critique was that we were some of the only diners which dimmed the atmosphere a little bit but that's a sign of the times! Would definitely recommend for very good vegan food.

Tipsy is always our go-to on a Friday night when we treat ourselves to a meal out. It’s hands-down the best exclusively vegan restaurant in Norwich and as a vegan couple, it never lets us down on its delicious variety of dishes, fantastic and accommodating customer service from the lovely staff and a super cool vibe and atmosphere to just enjoy great food and company. Their alcohol-free cocktails are so good too and I never feel like I’m missing out! Shout outs to the arancini, sharing board platter and the burrito dish - they are definitely must-haves :)

Had lunch, and whilst not disappointing there are a few places nearby that are better for the same price. I had quail followed by chicken. Credit to the chef, the quail was the best I’ve ever had, juicy with crispy skin; perfect. Chicken was also good but some of the accompaniments and my partner’s crab bon bon lacked something, maybe seasoning. And there was the strange sauce. Honestly, I couldn’t tell if it was a mistake in the kitchen, rather like salted caramel and gravy mixed. My partner was also confused by this. Service was friendly, the house wine very good, thumbs up there. Last point… fix your Bluetooth player! The music was forever cutting in and out! It was definitely an interruption to the meal.

We got married here on 28.05.18. Nick and his staff were brilliant from the moment we first contacted them, they made every effort to tailor the wedding just for us. The service is second to none, we both felt in safe hands throughout the day and they really looked after us. We ordered substantial canapes which were presented exquisitely and in a timely manner. The main course and dessert presentation was perfect and tasted even better. The venue itself is fantastic, we went for a rustic country theme, however, I have no doubt that they can adapt to suit whatever type of wedding you want. The garden area allowed for some amazing photos, we got lucky with the weather but to be honest it wouldn't have mattered too much because the inside was equally impressive. Our guests stayed at the lodge on the night of the wedding and it really was a 5 star experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable and it really topped off an amazing day for us. There aren't enough superlatives to justify our experience here so I'll just settle for saying it was perfect.

Exceptional service, amazing food, nice atmosphere, a really special high class place. This restaurant is perfect for a special occasion. I would advice dressing smart if you are going here. An excellent 3 course meal with wine for 2 will be in the region of £150 (or more depending on the drinks) but it really is worth it. We'll definitely be back.

Came for a special birthday lunch and wow we were not disappointed. Fabulous menu, beautifully cooked and presented. Waiter was perfectly attentive. Would not hesitate to recommend to others. Can’t wait for my next visit. First class. ❤️

Pure luxury. Was greeted in the car park by Ashley (the concierge / manager) who offered to take our luggage and walk us to reception, then our room. We stayed in The Playroom which was divine; 4x poster very comfy bed, roll-top bath in the bedroom, en-suite with individual 'his and her' sinks and mirrors, walk in rain shower, lovely view of the gardens from the bedroom window. We ate at the restaurant which was one of the best fine-dining experiences I've had; all courses were not only very tasty but well sized too. Again all staff there (including Ashley again!) were just the right amount of attentive. Then in the morning, although we were told breakfast ended at 9.30 am, my partner and I missed our alarms and so the staff called our room at 9.35 am to say they would still happily keep the kitchen open to cook us breakfast! Another touch (of many!) to leave a lasting impression that guests here are truly given VIP treatment. Can't give enough stars, we'll definitely be coming back.

We went there as a special treat, for the first time, before I have an operation soon. It was just what the doctor ordered! Wonderful food, lovely surroundings, helpful attentive staff. The Chicken Doughnut burger is absolutely incredible! If only this was on the menu all the time. Never had anything like it- perfection! Lovely staff, great service & obviously incredibly talented kitchen chefs! A unique & exceptional dining experience in Norwich- GO!

Absolutely fantastic food, lovely range of flavours and dishes. The restaurant was about 60% full and we had quite a lot of issues with service. I didn’t get my first drink until the starters arrived. The kitchen also couldn’t accommodate to a request to swap out an ingredient. Had to remind staff that we ordered drinks and hadn’t received them yet Other than that, lovely staff I think maybe just some more training is required or maybe it was just a tough day, we all go through them!

We stopped here for lunch whilst visiting Norwich. The design of this place is quite quirky but the space is limited. The food was absolutely delicious, we had spicy wings to start and burritos for main. We didn't manage to finish everything as the portions were very generous. The only let down was the service. Everything was so slow, we had to ask the waiter to take our order, to bring the cutlery and napkins, to take our empty glasses...it wasn't just happening naturally. Not sure why, the place did not look full of customers. They don't have a kids menu but it wasn't a problem for us, our little one just had fries and a home made lemonade. All in all, we really enjoyed our food and will be happy to give it another go when in Norwich.

"Underrated" is the perfect word to describe Jive Kitchen. We ordered the AUBERGINE MILANESA, GRILLED LEEKS with MOLE NEGRA & BURNT CHILE BUTTER, and TRUFFLE FRIES, along with an alcohol-free PINEAPPLE drink. We absolutely loved the food, and the ambiance was fantastic. Although we couldn't sit upstairs due to a shortage of staff, the view from the first floor was also amazing. The service was quick, and the food was fabulous. My only wish is that they had more vegan or vegetarian options on the menu so I could come back to try something different. It's a great spot for lunch dates and a must-visit if you're in Norwich. 🩵

Yes Jive! Really good. Cute little place. Lovely service and excellent food. Tacos are always the right choice but the loaded cheese burger tortillas were also amazing. Great selection of drinks including cocktails. Jive isn't a turkey, it's ace.

Jive is up there as one of my favourite eateries. They can make amazing tastes from the simplest ingredients. The cabbage plate was sensational. But I have to admit my all time favourite is the OG CHICKEN BURRITO. It’s an exquisite balance of flavour and naughtiness. It certainly fills a hole. But if you do have room for more make sure you get the corn dip if it’s in season. There are still many more exciting meals to try. Looking forward to them

Wow! Please go here. Wish I had taken some pictures that shows atmosphere and ambience of this place. We arrived without a booking on a Saturday, but were greeted and taken to a table immediately. The server asked if we minded being in the basement...but the basement was so nice and quiet. One other table of people down there and perfect for us. He explained they needed to have the table back at 6pm - no problem for us - it was only 4pm. They kindly gave us a 30 minute reminder and found us another table to move to but turned out to be good timing as we ready to go. Lovely service. And the food speaks for itself...really lovely variety, plentiful and fresh. Honestly cant fault this place from staff to drinks to food to atmosphere. Go here now!

Took my friend for her birthday. We had a lovely evening with a Wallow platter to share, which was fab, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed having time to chat and bring able taste the wine before we had the whole glass was great.

My friend and I had a fabulous evening at Wallow last night. Our table was ready on arrival and the lovely staff showed us how to work the self service wine dispensers. These were so much fun and allowed for samples of each wine to be purchased very reasonably. This meant we were able to try a wide variety of wines without too much impact on our wallets or our heads the next day!! This place fancies itself and is quite fancy, and the prices reflect this. While they have the self service wine I didn’t actually see anyone using it and that was on a busy Saturday night. We had a table booked and for a Saturday evening I would suggest you book ahead as they were turning people away until 9pm. The food was nice, basic but nicely done. The service was the biggest let down for me. It wasn’t that it was bad, it was just slow. To the point where everyone on the table starts doing the meerkat looks to try and catch the waiting staff’s attention. When they did turn up, they were very welcoming and friendly. Overall, this place is nice for something a bit special (they have bottles of Dom Perignon in the fridges) but I wouldn’t rush back as Norwich has so many other great eateries to visit.

The vibe was charming and chic and buckets of fun - genuinely, this idea is so much more fun than you think! Didn't like all the wines I tried but hey, that's the joy of the tasters. Really friendly staff. Menu looked lush. Perfect for both romantic dates and friendly hangs.

Went there twice. The food is fine. The staff mediocre. The second time I just went for a glass of something. Very unfriendly woman. It felt like they did not want to sell just drinks. But then they could just as well day they only serve meals...

Small pub just off the market that does Thai food. There's a room upstairs for additional seating, or you can sit out front and people watch. Service was very friendly. Food was delicious. One star lost for value. £17 for a main, PLUS mandatory service charge is pushing it a bit. Two mains and two drinks coming in at close to £50!

OK. Expensive and 10% service added to the bill. £75 for 2 med glasses of wine, 1 shared starter and 2 mains. Sticky rice was crispy and served in a thin plastic sandwich bag, which may be common but is odd IMO. Flavours quite good but overall we didn’t feel it was worth it. Fairly small portions

Visiting this little pub was such a treat - it's small but with a big heart. It's super dog friendly so we were able to have a drink and eat some delicious Thai food and our pup could accompany us. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the food was fabulous.

Random visit as I was in the city alone. Food was lovely and tailored to me based on the discussion about the menu which was great. It's not posh, but service was good and personal with strong knowledge of the food and drinks. Would go back.

Dined here after the restaurant kindly advised of a cancellation. The communication from start to finish was superb and attentive. Between us we had 2 starters 2 mains, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine. All courses were fresh, tasty and well presented with a simple menu explained by the host. Gemma and Thomas the owners create a lovely atmosphere to enjoy great food and we would definitely visit again.

An absolute delight! We had a lovely lunch in this tiny relaxed restaurant right in the middle of Norwich. Simple unfussy flavours with top class ingredients, the walnuts and oil on my tartine were really good and the chocolate mousse outstanding. My partner’s steak and crème brûlée were equally well received!

We went for a birthday lunch. The service is very friendly and attentive without being too much. The food is french bistro and of top quality as are the wines on offer. Booking well in advance is recommended.

One of my absolute favourite brunch spots in Norwich! Every time I visit, I make sure to stop by. I even made a special trip once just for their food. Their pancakes and eggs Benedict are amazing, and the staff are always so warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great coffee and juices. The slow cooked beef quesadilla was incredible, rich flavour and a nice kick to it, the accompanying sauces were fresh and cooling. Some of the best food I’ve had recently. The avocado toast tasted nice but was really let down by the portion size/quality control of the bread - not evenly sliced too so one end was wafer thin and minimal avocado.

Visited today for lunch as part of a group and they were quick to accommodate with a table and taking our order. Service was great overall and food was lovely, definitely keeping this as the go-to spot for food when I'm next back in Norwich!

Had a nice little burrito at JC Pinto. This is a great spot and some tasty food available. I needed something light on this occasion so will have to go again to check out the fat boy options

Had breakfast at JC Pinto with my wife, and it was fantastic. The cheese toastie was absolutely amazing—perfectly crisp with a rich, gooey filling. We also ordered the garlic mushrooms as a side, and they were just as impressive, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The loose-leaf tea was a lovely touch, adding to the cosy atmosphere. Service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It’s clear they put care into both their food and customer experience. Can’t wait to return and try more from their menu. Highly recommended!

I’ve been wanting to try their Fried rice curry balls for awhile. You get 4 for £3.50. Which was an amazing price! The balls had a crispy outside and a soft creamy inside. The garlic mayo and spring onions worked really well together. I personally felt the added sesame seeds on top didn’t work well with the overall flavours and texture however for the price and quality I really enjoyed them. I 100% would recommend!

I tried Bun Box earlier this week. Having seen people eating these amazing looking don buri bowls I was really excited to give them a go and I'm glad to say they definitely lived up to the hype! The food is amazing, I got two duck down buris, one without onion for myself and one with onion for my partner, the toppings were really generous and the quality was amazing. Solid portions for the money coming in at about £9 per head. For transport they provide lids as well as a range of utensils to eat with. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, they ask about allergies and, from my experience, are happy to accommodate. I added a side of kimchi after my initial order and they were happy to add to my initial order. It's a little thing but it's those that stick with me. Food prep areas look clean and there is plenty of space to sit behind the market to eat as long as it's a sunny day.

Always a queue. Very good takeaway street food! It’s not really Asian, I’d call it Asian fusion food. We had pork katsu and teriyaki pork. The combination of the vegetables, sauce and rice are just perfect. This is situated within the Norwich market.

Was really disappointed with this vendor, payed £5.50 for a spicy chicken bun , was given the bookers wholesale special! Not spicy at all obviously bookers own brand sauce, a chicken strip! A slice of lettuce and soggy bao bun. The servers were not interested in being friendly and created a seriously tense atmosphere around waiting where the line felt the need to wait silently. The wait for the food was 20 minutes which is crazy for a stall on the market without seating. Couldn’t even eat half of it because it was so soggy/undercooked. Will not be returning

Honestly an all round amazing place. Food (spicy chicken Donburi) was great and restaurant quality for a street food vendor. Would 100% suggest for anyone looking for a nice bite!

I was excited to eat here, reading all the great reviews. But sadly I can't say I was impressed at paying £9 for this (took a bite to judge the taste before taking a pic). Green beans were missing but this was rectified. Fries were really nice though. Difficult to say something at the time as the polite young lady behind the counter was a trainee and working by herself on a busy bank holiday Friday lunchtime.

We didn't eat here, but the most lovely girl opened the seating area for us to sit in while hiding from the rain and eating our bacon rolls. I'll definitely be back for the food soon as it smelt amazing, it was a shame we were in the area a bit to early. Thank you again to that girl. You're an angel

It’s my second visit here and I’m still loving the food! Just a heads up, it can be a bit chilly at the sitting area during winter, but that’s a small thing compared to the yummy food. If you’re looking for a spot for a quick and delicious lunch, this is definitely the place to go!

Oh my god. This might be the most delicious food on Norwich Market. The beef empanada had so much flavour, but its the queso ones that were our favourite with melty cheese inside. The accompanying salad is by no means an after thought. Each was flavoursome in its own right and cut through the richness of the empanada. We will definitely be heading back soon!

Amazing place to get some food when you are at the market. They are open till late thu-sat and I highly suggest the sharing platter. It's more than enough for two, get a beer from the nearby place and you are set for a good start of the night!

Portion was good but the steak was tasteless despite mentioning its marinated with chimchurri. Fries, salsa and bun were good. Just the steak needs to be seasoned to taste a bit stronger

One of my favourite places on the market! Go for the vegetable empanada with salad or chips - you can’t go wrong! The staff at Cocina Mia are so friendly and accommodating and are super efficient with getting your food to you even when they’re busy at the weekends :)

Part of Norwich Cocktail Week: Be my baby cocktail - St Giles Gin and Disaronno with lemon, raspberry and aquafaba Fun bar staff. Only pop in perhaps 2-3x a year but lovely place at the end of the Lanes.

Great place to watch the Champions League final. Love the idea of their 'cost price' special spirit, the tequila was amazing.

First visit to this pub today. We went for a roast with 2 children. The staff are so nice, a perfect balance of being relaxed and attentive. There are games to keep the kids entertained whilst waiting for food, although the food came out really quickly. Children’s portions are really generous. Food quality and variety of things on the plate was great. It was all fresh and tasted amazing. Thanks for a lovely meal! We will definitely return.

Came here for the first time with family last weekend and had the three meat roast and cauliflower cheese which was like a meal itself, the food was delicious, staff friendly and quick service, dog friendly if you have been on a dog walk or just want to take them with you.

We had a gorgeous Sunday roast trying the pork and chicken - excellent food, amazing service, very, very loud. Food - The food was excellent, I've had a great many roasts in my time and this was one of the best, as you can see in the video the pork pulled apart with a fork and it was so juicy, the chicken came as a supreme and was very generous, the only thing worth mentioning as a negative is there was such a variety of veg that the portions of each felt mean (that's subjective and barely worth mentioning) Service - Fantastic all the way, ordering is split between food and drinks, food is ordered at the table and drinks are ordered at the bar. The server took our order really quick and the food came out very fast. They were attentive but not intrusive, A+. Drink service was swift and professional, we had soft drinks and after I had ordered they were brought straight to the table, again, this was swift. A service charge is added to the bill. Atmosphere - The bar itself is aesthetically pleasing with a reclaimed, hipsterish vibe. It's a massive open space with the bar in the centre and this is where the issues begin. It's loud, aggressively loud, I couldn't hear my partner or the staff at all and given the complete lack of soft furnishings every sound echoes around and around. As someone with sensory issues I struggled. The seating and tables are mismatched which is cute but I barely managed to get my legs under the table as the seats were too tall, the tables are also packed in close and I spent half my meal with my back touching the person behind me. There is a soft seating area at the back of the bar which I didn't see until I had already eaten, it's a much quieter and more comfortable area and I really wish I had seen it earlier. To be clear it's pretty and if you're into the whole community eating, cacophony thing, it's a good atmosphere. Accessibility - Poor, it's very tight, you won't get a wheelchair through it, it's loud so bad for people with sensory issues, there's no parking lot so you take your chances on the very tight streets outside and you'll struggle to order drinks as there are tables surrounding the bar.

After hearing about the roast dinners at The Rosebery it was time to book in and I was not disappointed. The service and food were perfect and the kids portion was a good size to keep the little one busy. Plenty of choice with different meats, veggie options as well. The wine list is excellent and a couple of glasses of fizz were had! I will definitely be booking again.

Rosebery is a lovely pub in the heart of NR3, with plenty of outdoor seating as well as lovely indoor space with nice high ceilings and welcoming decor. Staff are all super friendly and attentive. Blues kitchen do the food separately to the pub. But it is INCREDIBLE. I've never been disappointed and the every dish I've had has been a taste sensation. Their Sunday roasts I think is the best in Norwich (there you go I've said it) and can not wait to go back.

Stayed here for 2 nights when working away. Really nice B&B with free parking. The car park is a little difficult to park in when it's full but not terrible. The B&B itself is lovely. It has its own entrance so you don't go through the pub. The room was good, with a coffee machine and pods. Really clean and spacious bathroom too. Also has a fan, iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer, which was much appreciated. The breakfast is continental and in a mini fridge in the room. This suited us nicely. Even though its a pub, it's only noisy til around 11pm and then nice and quiet. Would definitely stay here again. We also ate in the pub and grabbed a beer. Very very nice food. I had the buttermilk chicken burger and it was the most moist tasty chicken burger I think I have ever had! Unfortunately was too fill for dessert, will try for that next time!

Great lineup of beers at this pub. Outstanding service (bartender gave me some chicken to give to my dog as all the dog treats had been eaten). Live band were good also. Highly recommend!!!

A local coffee shop rather than an identikit chain, which is never a bad thing. If you're lucky enough to get a window seat it's a brilliant place to sit and watch the world go by. Good coffee and good food too.

Delicious, well made coffee by skilled baristas is always such a treat. The salted caramel brownie was insane, almost more caramel than brownie. Win!

I’ve heard so many people talk about how lovely strangers coffee is and I have to agree! Great quality coffee served by really nice people (other people say how welcome they feel especially when they’re regulars!). When I went most recently, I was offered a free sausage roll as it was near closing time, which I think is lovely as they prioritise reducing waste over making money! One thing you might want to know, is that they make their coffee ready-to-drink, so it’s not super hot. I quite like this but I know some people like their coffee very hot, so it’s worth noting to make that request if you prefer it that way!

Very cool to see a local business with multiple locations around the city as well as a roastery. The beans I bought were very nice and whenever I've had a coffee in the shop itself I've never been disappointed.

Great filter coffee, depending on the bean. Bought some beans (Columbian) fruitful bliss. Good view for people watching, seemed to have a good selection of pastries, no review there didn't eat any.

One of the few places that service Faltered coffee and In a high quality. I visited the coffee daily during my stay in Nowrich and every day it was the same great quality. Finally I would like to thank Marcus and Teller who were very kind and polite.

I went to Stranger Coffee to get my caffeine fix before an event, hoping to find a fruity coffee. The staff kindly offered me a taste of their filter coffee before making a purchase. The coffee had a fruity taste, reminiscent of pineapple, with a subtle fermented aroma. It was an excellent coffee, especially for its affordable price!

Couple of cocktails in the afternoon 🍸🍹we managed just to beet the crowd and sat upstairs. The two girls were great hosts and once we had our drinks the place filled up quickly. Not normally a cocktail drinker but when on a city break it's nice to indulge. Loads of choices and wish I'd remembered the names, if your passing call in, they also do food and we're busy with that too.

Have had drinks here on a few occasions now. Staff definitely have no problem in creating a very reliably good dirty martini - not too common in East Anglia! Pleasant surroundings, pleasant staff, a little tapas menu.

What a lovely, busy little cocktail bar! Not your normal cocktails, so I felt a little giggly when I had 2 cocktails lol! We were first 2 in, the quickly filled up. Girls serving were polite & friendly.

Update March 2024... This place still lives up to the high standards we saw in 2018/19. Excellent cocktails, pricey, but PROPER, made with pride in what they do. Terrific place for grown ups to quietly enjoy artisanal cocktails. Spicy 50, Wolfpack and Rajamaki Highball were all perfect. The decor and music are great and the staff highly competent, friendly and professional.

The food looked great, but after 25 minutes sat there with menus in hand we eventually walked away, not that we were in a rush, but I feel like more experienced servers would have at least given an apologetic look or offered us water.

I'm disabled and when booked online I stated this and I'm on crutches when I arrived I was then told stand and wait as wasn't ready upstairs for me then when got go upstairs (escalators) the lady then told me stand and wait again she then when was showing us to seats racing off way in front of me my daughter had ask her wait for me to which stopped a second then raced off again. I understand it a busy restaurant but given the fact anyone can see I struggle stay standing on my crutches as I wobble and have tremors was actually quite bad service for the amount of money it cost for me and all my kids I'm very disappointed in the service. Food was good ran out pizza at one point due to it being so busy but all food we had tasted great

My family and I were dined at the renewed Cosmo Buffet Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The variety of food options was impressive, with a wide range of cuisines to choose. Each station was well-stocked, and the food was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, the staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back again！👍

Visited while on holiday for Sunday lunch on the basis of reviews. Wasn’t disappointed. Delicious food and the portions were indeed huge. I would actually though have been happier with less meat and a greater selection of veg (which was still good) such as some cauliflower cheese. We were too full for puddings which we were definitely up for as they also looked yummy. It has a big car park, although we were able to walk from our accommodation. It was very well decorated and clean inside, although very very dark where we were sat, which took a while getting used to. All the staff were exceptionally friendly — great staff training 👏🏻 They also accommodated us having our baby in his pram in a less the ideal part of the pub (as they needed to walk through often carrying plates of food) which we appreciated. If we stay in the area again, I would love to visit again.

Could not fault it, everything was amazing with our experience here. The staff: super friendly and attentive, giving a warm, friendly feel to the place. Cosy seating spaces which give you enough separation between tables. The menu is extensive, something across meats and fish to satisfy every taste and preference. The portions were incredibly value for money. Large portions and everything tastes delicious. The pork tomahawk especially was mouth watering. We had a lovely time and I would highly recommend this place.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were just lovely—so friendly and down to earth. You can tell they really care about the place and the people who come through the door. The room felt instantly comfortable—warm, homey, and just really easy to settle into. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you want after a long day: clean, cozy, and peaceful. And the food… honestly, every meal we had was incredible. Proper flavour, beautifully done, and just really satisfying. You can tell the kitchen puts real heart into it. It’s the kind of place that just gets everything right. We felt looked after the whole time and didn’t want to leave. Already looking forward to coming back.

Popped in for a late Sunday lunch. Glad I'd rang to book ahead as this extensive dining pub is very popular. Choice of 5 real ales and varied menu on the pricier side. The roast dinner was excellent and excellent value - very glad I didn't have a starter, I wouldn't have finished! Piled high in a pool of gravy with a big Yorkshire on top - marvellous.

Oh, my, life. Sunday roast. I had the pork, the plate was IMMENSE ! No way could finish it. Quality, flavour, presentation all immense also, but literally, they could serve half the portion, charge ¾ of the price, and it would still be amazing. Lovely staff, lovely setting. Highly recommended.

Extensive range of menu, with options of classics like fish and chips, burgers, steaks and surprisingly a vast range of seafood. When I saw the menu, I knew I had to visit. Ive had a lot of pub food but this was by far the best. Food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Would def visit again if I’m in the area.

Been here twice now for dinner and both times were absolutely fabulous. Once came with a group of 8 and it was a pleasant experience for everyone. Great service, delicious food, tasty drinks, and amazing ambiance! Celebrated my birthday here and it was a memorable. Cooking the steak on the lava rock is an awesome experience and I definitely recommend it, although you can have kitchen cook it for you if you’d prefer. My only complaints are that they used fresh cherries on the Cherry Bomb cocktail the first time I came(pictured), and when I went more recently they used a candy cherry(not pictured). It made the glass sticky and wasn’t too appetizing. The cocktail was still delicious! And the half a lobster was a bit over done.

Absolutely blown away with our meal on Valentine’s Day. 🩷 @primenorwich - Neither of us had been to this restaurant before and was intrigued to give it a try. Prime steak house has been a brilliant experience from as soon as we walked in. First time where we cooked the steak 🥩 this was a very nice experience, different from your normal Restaurant. - very fun we both enjoyed the difference. We also ordered the Mac & cheese 🧀 and Chips 🍟 with Parisian and herbs, the sides was also very tasty, lots of flavour and came out hot 🔥 They also knew it was my birthday on Valentine’s Day to - they surprised me with a birthday treat and wished me a happy birthday - it was so heartwarming ❤️ Prime thank you so much for making our night special 🫶🏽 Very good food, lovely atmosphere and the staff was so helpful and friendly for our first time experience, we will be indeed adding this place on our date nights in the future. 10/10 recommend - 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ from us

What a wonderful experience with Jessica and our host! From start to finish, they made our stay unforgettable. Jessica’s hospitality was exceptional—she made sure we had everything we needed and went out of her way to ensure we felt comfortable. Every suggestion was a hit! , we felt like we got a true taste of the menu thanks to his guidance. I went with a large group of friends for dinner. The restaurant has a very seductive and stunning decor. Our waiter for the evening Jack was very friendly, attentive and patient, his service throughout the night was exceptional. There wasn't a sweet rosé wine on the menu, which is a shame, so we went for the least dry. The cocktails however, are lovely. I had the pork starter which was beautiful, melt in the mouth perfection. It was light and the croquette was filled with tender pork. I had the sirloin for my main course. The sirloin was a generous size and it was fun to further cook and season the beef, I also had peppercorn sauce which tasted great. The sirloin was delicious! Sadly, the macaroni cheese side dish tasted just like pasta out of a pan of plain boiling water. I couldn't taste any cheese sauce at all, which was a disappointment. I had the cheese platter for dessert, I was a little disheartened at the size of the cheeses offered and the chutney was flavourless. It is a very expensive treat, so a few tweaks to the wine selection, desserts and focus on the side dishes would make it perfect. An unforgettable dining experience overall, a very special contemporary restaurant, with outstanding service from Jack. Five stars 🌟

We absolutely loved the whole experience - every staff member, the food and atmosphere was amazing. Staff were so attentive from the moment we walked in to being the last ones to leave.. but they also gave us space to enjoy the whole experience, perfect service, pricey but worth every penny..we will definitely be returning.

During a visit with a friend, I made a reservation over the phone but was not informed about a dress code. Upon arrival, I was wearing smart shorts and a shirt, which I believed to be appropriate attire. Unfortunately, I was denied entry due to the shorts, and the staff's demeanor felt quite rude. While I understand the importance of maintaining a certain standard, I kindly suggest that clearer communication regarding dress codes be provided at the time of booking. I held my Daughters baby shower in the lovely large room upstairs at The Waffle house on Sunday, around 30 ladies. The owner was so helpful when making the arrangements and the room was set out beautifully. we were able to set up balloons and decorations so the room looked beautiful. we all ordered food some savoury some sweet that all arrived at roughly the same time. It was all very nice and generous portions, I had the salmon form the specials list which was amazing and the Mummy to be had Bang Bang Chicken that she thoroughly enjoyed. The banana waffles looked amazing I will have that next time. We had the booking from 12pm to 3 pm as they had another booking at 3pm, which flew by we could have done with an extra 30 minutes but staff were very patient with us while we said our goodbyes. We were allowed to take a celebration cake but we were so full from our food that everyone took a slice home. Everyone has commented how much they enjoyed the event and especially the food. I had no idea how much it would cost and was more than happy with the cost of everything at the end, It was worth every penny. This was such a good find! My partner and I were on a hunt for pudding only place to get something sweet after having dinner elsewhere, and Norwich seems to have a severe lack of such places. Fear not, The Waffle House is exactly it. The waffles were delicious and the staff friendly and accommodating. I ordered quite an experimental waffle, and I'm not sure I would want it again, but I would definitely want to come back here to try more stuff off the menu!

Love visiting the waffle house, always received amazing food. Tried there chai hot chocolate on our latest visit, and it was so good! Love having a different selection of specials when we visit to try something new. Will forever be their biggest fan of the chocolate mouse waffle.

I had a waffle topped with Oriental vegetable stir-fry, featuring toasted cashews, lemongrass, ginger, fresh chili, sesame seeds, and coriander for lunch today, all for a reasonable £12.45. As I was driving by, I noticed some empty seats and parking space, so I decided to give it a try. It had been quite a while since my last visit to this popular restaurant. The staff were polite and attentive, and my meal arrived quickly. While I enjoyed the dish, it was a bit on the light side for my large appetite. I would have indulged in one of their delicious sweet waffle desserts if I hadn’t been watching my sugar levels. Hopefully, next time I’ll take the plunge and go all out!😛

A well known local highlight definitely lives up to its reputation. A unique selection of savoury and sweet waffles alike with a wide range of choice. I would recommend arriving earlier than you intend to eat as its very popular and there tends to be a que. Besides the wait staff are friendly and doing their best to manage the constant flow of customers. Our food itself was very tasty, I had a wholemeal waffle with mushrooms and cheese sauce. It was very filling and well worth the wait!

I visited the Waffle House Norwich with my family on a Sunday afternoon and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is cozy and charming, with a friendly and attentive staff. The menu offers a variety of waffles, both sweet and savory, with vegetarian and gluten-free options. We ordered the cheese and mushroom waffle, the bacon and banana waffle, and the chocolate and cream waffle. They were all delicious, fresh, and filling. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. We also enjoyed the coffee, which was vegan and smooth. The Waffle House Norwich is a great place to enjoy a tasty and satisfying meal with your loved ones. I highly recommend it and I will definitely come back again.

Now that Franks has outside seating, both at the front and in the courtyard at the rear, it is a fab place to enjoy in the summer as well as the colder days. We had the spiced avocado with Chimichuro & feta on sourdough toast, some with poached egg, we also had asparagus with smoked salmon on sourdough, with iced coffee, americano and tea. All was great, the poached egg wasn't runny but was close, everything else was amazing. The service was fab, friendly and engaging without being intrusive.

Was pleasantly surprised on entering. Absolutely beautiful interior, cosy, well decorated. The staff were helpful and polite and catered to a slight change in our order. Plenty of room to sit in the downstairs and upstairs rooms and the courtyard. The food a drink was very good quality for what we paid. Would definitely go there again on a date night with my husband.

This place is not too be missed! Don't be fooled by the limited space when you look through the window, there are plenty of spaces at the back. For the warmer weather there is a small courtyard too. The menu is intruguing and with good wines and beers available you will be spoilt for choice. It's open from 9am for brunch right the way through the evening.

Great place for a late night drink, or a tasty brunch. I've spent many a late night here chatting with friends, but this time I went for breakfast. I can definitely recommend the Bloody Mary and egg and chorizo bagel. Friendly staff. Cheers!

I started wondering why everybody was ever so nice in Frank’s bar. It sounded suspicious as it was literally everyone, not only the stuff but all the customers as well. We had our wedding meal here and it was perfect. We hired the tank room and the locker room with the bar upstairs. Our guests ordered from the normal menu- everyone loved their food and all meals came hot which was great when cooking for just over 30 people. They were great accommodating different dietary requirements. Laura was fantastic and made sure everything went smoothly. The table was laid out beautifully and everyone had a great time. Could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding as it was perfect. Would recommend to anyone thinking of booking an event here.

Refunded but actual refund amount was less than the amount paid due to bank commission. Wish we were told before we order. We had our wedding reception at St Andrews Brewhouse and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all our questions in the lead up to the day and exceeding our expectations on the day itself. The food was outstanding – the chicken supreme was honestly the best dish I’ve ever eaten. We’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years and the food has always been consistently amazing. The venue is perfect for a small wedding and worked out as fantastic value for money. I couldn’t recommend St Andrews Brewhouse highly enough.

We held our wedding reception in the upstairs of St Andrew’s Brewhouse and I couldn’t recommend them more! Lou and the team were so accommodating, no request felt like too much. All allergies were catered for too. The food was absolutely incredible and our guests are still telling us how great the chicken was 2 weeks later! We had the best time - thank you so much Lou & co!

Held a private birthday party upstairs at The Brew House for around 50 people. The room(s) up there are perfect for this size party - in fact we could have fitted a few more - with seating for everyone and plenty of room for some dancing. There's a separate bar upstairs so you don't need to keep traipsing downstairs to get your drinks and the two staff members running the bar were really engaged with our guests' needs and were absolutely fantastic. All the ratings I've given are based on the fact that this was a private event eg. the noise level has taken into account that we had a DJ playing music at our event.

Sadly I have to put this review... for the first time eating out I've found a poor quality meal.. The Brewhouse smash burger... at £17.50 I would expect size and quantity.. unfortunately it was smaller that a McDonald's burger and absolutely tasteless.. with just a few chips on the plate.. . No girkin or salad .. nothing else to put except, please don't order..

Such a lovely place to eat! Gorgeous burgers, wraps and skin-on fries. Very generous portions and quick service. Lovely little seating area upstairs as was wet weather. My sister and I are vegan, but my meat eating daughter could not fault the fake chicken. This will definitely be our new ‘go to’ eatery when in Norwich!

Delicious gem of a place. You have to get the vegan baba ghanoush!I had the Mediterranean box that had salad , falafel, Baba ghanoush with tahini n chilli sauce ! It was absolutely amazing. Such fresh ingredients and you do not have to wait long. I should have tried the homemade kombucha but I forgot to order it. Definitely give this place a try. Staff a really friendly and helpful.

We managed to squeeze onto an outside table here during the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre. Despite being rushed off their feet, the servers were super efficient and friendly. We all had different wraps - delicious and filling.

We just popped to Norwich for the day from Cambridge and stumbled on this place in our search for a yummy vegan lunch in central Norwich. While ordering the staff were super engaged, helpful and friendly which was refreshing. When the food came out it was superb and value for money. We got a couple moorish falafel wraps (which is the base option on a very yummy menu + you can customise by adding ingredients, I got pickles on mine. They also do a cute kids box which is a deconstructed version of the wrap. The food was both incredibly yummy and filling, absolutely hitting the spot 😋! I would Highly recommend.

The onigiri was immaculate (as was everything we ordered, it was just a standout item) & the service was excellent too! Any little changes or additions we wanted were made without fuss. Belle listened carefully to our preferences & was a wonderful server. Thank you to the kitchen staff who also worked so hard to make our visit, perfect.

I’ve been to YO! Sushi in Norwich a few times over 4 years, and while my experiences were not always consistent and positive due to long delays in service, complications with accommodating dietary allergens , inconsistencies with friendliness and service attentiveness, I’m happy to say my most recent visits have been positive! The staff have stepped up their game—seating us more quickly, friendlier approach, and showing a much better flexibility around dietary allergens and slightly adjusting items on the menu to accommodate their customers better. Tonight, our waitress Ella was terrific—attentive, helpful, friendly and professional. The kitchen also impressed us with how quickly they prepared our meals. The portions were just right, and everything was delicious. It’s been a pleasure to see the improvements, and happy to return. Great work to the whole team!

I popped in here for a quick bite to eat after work. The food is always good at Yo! as their consistent brand standards ensure a reliable meal. The service was fantastic, although a little short staffed I was informed on arrival that there might be a slight delay in my food arriving, however everything was fast and efficient. Also, the person serving me was hilarious, we had a good chat about running and walking fast (they may remember the unusual but funny conversation). Thank you for a lovely meal and great service! :)

I ordered salmon hosomaki was not cut good as you can see in the pictures and 2 YO Rolls the salmon was not in all the peices of the sushi some of them have just avocado and the eggs in the top not there no chopsticks in the bag no sauce nothing very disappointed

It looks good in the photo. However, it is some cold rice taken out from the fridge, plus a piece of warm fish on top. The worst sushi in Norwich. High price, low quality. I tried all other sushi places including dine-in and takeaway, this one is seriously the worst. Even the Sainsbury’s takeaway one is fresher than this. The menu is very dirty, oil, sticky stuff on it. The service speed is slow.

Had a really nice breakfast here. The food is amazing, however the only critique I have is that it could do with some ventilation as it smells of fried food inside. I mean, some people may like that but I was concerned it would linger on my clothes.

We were quite lucky not to have to wait for a table for four, since it’s a busy place. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The large chai latte I had was quite tasty, though the latte art was simpler than expected. The eggs Benedict was nicely runny, and the hash browns were perfectly crunchy. The portion sizes were filling. It did feel quite warm inside the restaurant. Our waiter kindly offered us a fan, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. However, we later noticed that it cooled down our food rather quickly. Overall, it’s a lovely place.

Lived in Norfolk for a long time and visited with my daughter and our small dog at the weekend for the first time. On entering it was busy but we were seated upstairs in a nice room with cool music and a relaxed vibe. Our waiter was lovely and even offered to bring our dog a sausage :-) We ordered some cheese toasties which were delicious. We will definitely be back for breakfast with my whole family as this is their thing in this place. Can’t wait! Thank you

Exceptional family run department store with a history dating back to 1770. Excellent range of high quality product lines under one roof, from fashion and furniture to books and toys. The food hall is a particular highlight, beautifully presented and with an outstanding range of quality products. A small café in the food hall and a larger restaurant upstairs offer a nice selection of refreshments and lunch options, with sandwiches and cooked lunches prepared to order. Busy in early afternoon but didn't have to wait too long - a nice change from London! The store, completed in 1823, is a really unusual building and an architectural treat. Nice to see that well behaved dogs are welcome everywhere inside except for the food and drinks areas.

What a place, absolutely fantastic, Jarrolds has been at the centre of Norwich for many years, you can easily spend a few hours looking around and having lunch. I had a carvery for £13.95 a dessert for £4.70 and a coffee for £3.20. If you had the same in any pub it would have come to at least £30.00. Definitely visit, just don't take the wife or you will leave skint.

Always a pleasure to visit this lovely store. Guaranteed to be busy at lunchtime but worth the wait for their delicious food. Furniture, clothing, leather goods, books, children’s toys and lots lots more. Highly recommended. And now Christmas shopping begins with the wife 🫣

Lunch Experience at Jarrod’s Pantry Today, I had the pleasure of enjoying my favorite pie for lunch at Jarrod’s top-floor Pantry restaurant. At first, I was ready to leave as I wasn't in the mood for another carvery. However, I spotted the steak and kidney pie on the menu and couldn’t resist! I went back to the counter and chose a delightful meal of boiled and roasted potatoes with fresh vegetables, paired with a refreshing bottle of mango juice. The pie was generously filled with steak and kidney, and the potatoes and vegetables were cooked to perfection. It truly made for an enjoyable meal! In total, my lunch cost £17.30, which kept me satisfied for the rest of the day. Jarrod’s is a relatively large restaurant, quite popular with the older generations. The staff-to-customer ratio is nearly always spot on, ensuring excellent service. Plus, there are several car parks within walking distance, making it an ideal place to meet up with friends or, like I did today, enjoy a meal alone.

My husband's new favourite shop! Love the little bars throughout the store on every level. Highly recommend the seafood bar. Some really nice pieces to buy throughout the store. The girls are really friendly on the makeup counters too..

Thank you for suggesting other options, for collecting items from other departments for me and generally being very lovely. Fabulous experience, I will return.

The service is pretty slow and our table was wobbly. The menu online is not the same as in the restaurant - I arrived looking forward to some pork belly with crackling but it wasn’t on the menu so I ordered the pork shoulder. After waiting a while for the food it was pretty disappointing. The amount of meat you get is pretty small and was overly salty. The vegetables, potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire were nothing special. My mother ordered the aubergine which was extremely tough and she was unable to cut it. The menu also states that each roast comes with cauliflower cheese but we only received 2 portions for 3 people. When we asked about this we were told that that’s just how much we get. Overall disappointing and would not recommend.

Last minute booking for an anniversary Sunday lunch (we hadn't decided where to go 😊) Jack looked after us really well. Wished us a happy anniversary. Helped my wife get the perfect red wine 🍷 Sunday lunch started quiet and got to about 1/2 to 2/3rds full. Chowder starter was delicious. Roast beef was not as rare as my wife asked for. Jack did apologise about this as joint cooked in one go. My pork was tasty and huge plate of giant Yorkshire pudding and veg. Sadly no crackling but still plenty to eat. Bar was deserted on arrival. Wide range of local gins. Dessert was a peach alaska. Very pretty on the plate. Tasty and not too sweet. Great service. Food and drink a hit or miss in places. Good value for money we felt

I booked Sunday lunch for 3 people, my wife and I + our son, our son came to meet us at the restaurant and we knew this restaurant well albeit from 10 yrs ago, we ordered drinks, ours arrived and our son ordered coffee when it arrived, he poured it and it was just pale water in the cafetière? He talked to a waiter who apologised and said he would remove it from the bill, he promised to replace the drink our son waited 10 minutes nothing arrived our son exited and said goodbye, we ordered our meals in the hope it couldn’t get any worse, the food arrived and looked very nice, we had loin of pork with seasonal vegetables, unfortunately some chef also added a cauliflower sauce in two blobs (No Cauliflower) with a rich gravy, I started on the food and moved the white sauce to one side, unfortunately my wife’s meal her sauce had mixed with the gravy and looked awful, my wife’s meal was only half eaten I did have mine as was hungry, I wish now we had left with our son, I went to pay of course they didn’t take the coffee off the bill.until I pointed it out! He said you should have said something we told two of the staff but nobody tells anybody else ! They did take off the service charge, what disappoints me more than anything else is we don’t see our son often as he work away and I knew he would remember the Maids head restaurant where we used to go years ago. We will remember this visit for all the wrong reasons.

Food is terrible, staff a waste of time. We had to wait 30 mins for a menu, 40 mins for us to get some water and the meal took 3.5 hours. The service was Just not acceptable . They were shockingly bad. Would be ok if the food blew out socks away, but the food was substandard and tasteless . Hugely disappointed

Had a very disappointing meal in the Winepress last night. Have been many time over the years, including for celebration meals and will now never return. What has happened to the place? They urgently need a new chef who can cook and devise a menu and better or more staff on the floor. On arrival it took far too long for anyone to seat us. The menu is very limited and does not match the sample menu online. If you don’t eat meat and don’t want salad you really had to choose the two course £45 per person menu to have the aubergine. Sadly, this was very badly cooked and hard to eat - this was not helped by plate spinning on the table. As we were so hungry we had to eat it. We told the waitress it was not very nice and because it had been eaten she just remarked “looks like you did not like it”! The fish and chips lacked seasoning and fish was in fryer too long. Given how bad the mains were we decided to leave without pudding. So we’re changed £35 for the awful aubergine dish which is daylight robbery. The wine was not cold, we were told this was due to a new wine supplier that day. It is so sad to see a place go downhill so badly. We chose Winepress due to past dinning there and the sample menu which suggested a mixed menu where people could eat and avoid meat. In the event the menu was very limited. In 2024 serving meat based amuse bouche without enquiring whether people eat meat is really not on.

The food and service was excellent. The duck, fish, and beef were exceptional. We were a tiny bit concerned initially, as the previous 14 reviews were very mixed. However we're extremely pleased we kept our reservation.

I was slightly disappointed with my meal, I went for the seasonal pie of the day…. the meat in the pie was delicious and the buttery mash on top was really tasty, but there was approximately 20 silverskin onions in the small pie which was far too many, more onions than meat! The carrots were rock hard, the gravy was tasty in a small white jug but the jug was burning hot and impossible to pick up. I felt the meal was overpriced and unfortunately I won’t be returning. The staff were all very pleasant.

Really fun night out for groups of friends and colleagues. We drank, ate, bowled and sung. Karaoke has a huge collection of songs. I was worried they wouldn't have any of my genre but was pleasantly surprised. Food was decent and in abundance. Glad to see they're doing well as they deserve it.

having a party upstairs and I have booked bowling around 8 for 9:20 had no problems at the desk even though I am 13 booking it at 9:20 but lady goes through with it anyway I have just been pulled aside by the same lady saying we have had to cancel your booking because no kids are allowed down past 9:00 really poor customer service no sign up either but other than that horrible experience I’m having an alright time and the drinks seem well priced

We hired the upstairs karaoke room as a student society from the UEA and we had a fantastic night: the venue was the perfect size for the large group of us, the karaoke system was properly designed and included a wide range of songs- unlike what some other venues offer in Norwich, the student discounts that they offered were enjoyed by our members, and the bar kept our society hydrated and excited! Moreover, the staff on duty that night, Freya and Arthur, were incredible at their jobs and friendly too! Thank you The Bowling House! We had a great night🤘

I had my 40th birthday party there and I can't thank the staff enough. They were all so helpful even in the insane heat we had that day! Also the bar manager was so kind and helpful helping me pick cocktails out for my party and making a special Hello Kitty cocktail for me. I can't rate this place enough. Bowling House undoubtedly deserves a 5-star review. The staff, whose names I regrettably didn't ask for, were exceptional hosts throughout our visit. The Bowling House staff which we’ll call the “awesome duo” went above and beyond, mastering a trifecta of entertainment. From the enjoyable and laid-back bowling experience to the inviting atmosphere and brace yourself for this—the absolutely sensational food! My initial expectation was smaller portions so I stupidly ordered extra, but lo and behold, the generous platefuls left us asking for takeaway boxes 😂 The nachos were beyond description—simply cracking “chef's kiss” The burgers were expertly crafted and tasted far better than I’ve had for a while a real treat for this chonky boi’s taste buds (I know my burgers😄) Every part of our experience was impeccably handled, making our night an incredibly enjoyable one. You guys smashed it so heres an extra five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ and a fancy extra sixth one 🌟 for the chap that knows how to make ahold cocktail!

A fun experience and great food! I feel two things could help improve the experience further. 1. Bowling screens... if the current bowler's name and score could be made larger, those with sight impairment could see their name from the seating area. 2. The slope leading to the lanes (passing the bar) needs a touch more light.

I should say the food here is not too bad considering there is only one person in the Kitchen! I think he did great!!! It was fun to be with everyone for bowling too!
