I’ve been to The Greyhound more times than I can count, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and it’s the kind of place that feels proper local while delivering food and service well above expectations. The staff are exceptional, and a huge credit to the pub. Dan the landlord, and the entire team are consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food here is a cut above your usual pub grub. While they’ve got the reliable classics like nachos and beef burgers, the real draw is their ever changing specials menu. Every dish we’ve ever tried has been imaginative, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. This time, we shared Chorizo Mac and Cheese, Samosas, and Arancini balls to start. All delicious! For mains, I had the standout Pan-Fried Lamb Cannon, Crispy Stuffed Lamb Belly, Whipped Feta, Braised Lamb & Wild Garlic Bonbon, Baby Beetroot, Asparagus and Gravy. A dish as good as it sounds, cooked to perfection! Others in our group had the Tikka Masala, which was equally well received. The Greyhound is a must visit for all. Great food, great people, and a great pub through and through!

I love the Greyhound, I’m never disappointed. I’d say it’s the best town centre pub in Ipswich based on the customer service and quality of food and drink. Came here on a Saturday late afternoon, food is served until 3.30pm. Ordered a small fish and chips, delicious (pictured). My friend ordered a large fish and chips, double the size Haddock. Had a lovely Gin and Tonic as well. The outdoor area is absolutely lovely and spacious. We received great service from all of the staff, all attentive and super speedy at the bar.

This is by far the best place I have ever been to. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are absolutely amazing. You get treated with respect and get attended to very quickly. You do not have to wait for anything and the place is very clean and very good. The food is the best around and beats most restaurants around. The menu changes constantly and gives you various options all the time and you dont eat the same things all the time. The chefs are brilliant and the food is brilliant and to a very good standard. I have been coming to this place since I have been in Ipswich and I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for a place to relax or have a beer then go to The Greyhound. If you are looking to go for a meal (Not just pub food) then go to The Greyhound. Overall it's an amazing place with amazing staff and the food is the best around. Please visit and try it yourself and have a good time.

This is a really nice pub just outside the center of town. A beautiful beer garden with a lot of seating, delicious food, a good selection of drinks and friendly staff.

We try a new place for a Sunday lunch once a month . I came today and was blown away ! . It was very very busy but a great atmosphere with plenty of staff who looked like they enjoyed their jobs. We did have to wait for our meal after giving our order for about 40 minutes but when it came it was stunning ! Flavoursome,plentyful and the beef melted in my mouth. The staff were attentive when they had a chance bless them. All in all we loved it and have already booked to go back .

Revisit 4th July 2024 Still a great pub to visit. Food came out in good time, very tasty and filling. Staff attentive and polite. ########### Popped in for lunch today and it was very nice. The outside area has been done up so when they are allowed to open fully it will be very nice. Feel Covid secure so very happy. Food was a little slow to come but that seems to be the same with a few pubs I've been to so not marking down for that. I had the Bacon and Cheese burger which is home made and was very tasty, very pleased. Best Halloumi fries over ever had!! Can recommend them for sure. I had the Chocolate and Peanut butter brownie. It was nice but could have been a bit sweeter. Still very happy either way.

Had a wonderful day out at Jimmy's wildlife park with my wife and two dogs. The only place dogs can't go is the butterfly and reptile enclosures. So much to see and a lovely environment. Ample activities for kids and buying animal feed gives you the chance to get close to a lot of different animals. We saw the bears... although sleepy as we passed and watched a couple enjoying an 'experience' and feeding the brown bears. Thoroughly recommend. 10/10 The shops are great too.

Website does not do it justice, the FARM section is pigs but the rest is a fine selection of a small scale zoo. Powerd wheelchairs available but we had our own and it copped just fine, its hard pac mostly and the off road bit was 1 little section which wont be there once they complete the other enclosure its only temporary. Amazing place, great for family and Adults, they offer wedding packages too, food and drink prices relevant to the times.

After watching the ch4 episode on the Brown 🐻, we decided to make the journey from South Yorkshire to Ipswich Suffolk. Very good visit, had around 3 hours+ on site, only animals we didn't see were the Wolf's & Coos otherwise a good place to visit. There was quite a bit of work going on so it'd be nice to visit again next year once it's all completed. Staff we came into contact with were very nice and helpful, we managed to be at the Polar Bear 🐻's when May have a talk on the P/Bears only to find 2 of them were from The Yorkshire Wildlife Park 7 miles from where we live in Doncaster...👍👍👍👍

We had our wedding at Jimmys farm this past weekend and it was without a doubt the best day of our lives. The rangers at the park were incredible happy to talk to all of our guests, our lemur experience was the best! The food was sensational all of our guests raved about it, in particular the roast beef course, and the venue was beautiful. Huge shout out to our wedding planner at Jimmys Claire, who had only been working at Jimmys for a few weeks before helping with our wedding but helped with everything and reassured us at every point. What an amazing day and venue xxx

Had an absolutely brilliant time at Jimmys yesterday. Such a beautiful and big place and you can clearly see that the animals have the best care. We fed Diego the brown bear and the experience was absolutely amazing. A huge thank you to May his keeper who went above and beyond spending time with us and chatting. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back!

Excellent park. The park is well laid out and easy to get to. It gets busy so book your spot and get in early or suffer the overflow parking (which is not far from the entrance). Good food at the restaurants and lots of places to explore. All the animals are easily viewed and petting is allowed on e of them (goats, donkeys, etc. ). No - you can’t pet wolves or polar bears :). Have fun!

Travelled from Scotland, just to visit the farm, was not disappointed. This place is totally amazing. The talks about the animals were educational & fun. Seeing the wolves was a highlight for me. Looking forward to seeing the new enclosure open, hopefully with a tiger or two? Keep up the great work. Highly recommend

I often go to Isaac's with my family or friends. It's my favourite place to eat. And today on the 8th of March, women's holiday, I came with my mum, but these two ‘gentlemen’ were very rude to me and my mum. Despite the fact that I showed my ID they did not let me and my mum in and spoilt our mood. I noticed that this is not the first time that these two security guards who worked at the 8th of March are rude to your customers.

Isaacs is such a charming pub with a fantastic vibe! They have plenty of TVs for sports lovers, and the drinks and food are quite reasonably priced. I can’t recommend it enough! Plus, the view from the VIP balcony is lovely.

No photos of the pub sorry but a wonderful place. Large but with many rooms / open spaces so you never feel overwhelmed. And if you want a romantic corner, there are many of those so don't be put off by the size.

visited Izaac’s Coffee Shop today and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. When I came in to order, the employee serving me was visibly frowning the entire time and even whispered something to the manager while I was standing there, which felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. When I received my coffee, I didn’t respond verbally, and the employee loudly said “you’re welcome!!” in a sarcastic tone — making the whole interaction unnecessarily awkward and rude. I usually don’t mind if staff are having an off day, but the attitude and lack of basic courtesy really stood out. It made the visit feel unwelcoming, which is disappointing for a local coffee shop that should be a warm and friendly space.

Nice enough bar with some really friendly staff. There’s some tables for dining and some nice stools for small groups only wanting a drink. Prices are good for the prime location on the waterfront and I’d certainly return for a relaxing drink.

I went for beer 🍺, decided to try some nibbles it do n8ce... the beer was good thanks.

It was our first time to the harbour and were pleasantly surprised by the meal we had from Isaacs. The staff were polite and pleasant, the food was excellent, had a great day.

What a truly magical place indeed. Free entry to all which is remarkable given the scale of building, but recommend treating yourself to the bargain price £2.00 guidebook to learn even more about the rooms, history and content. Every room was a joy to behold, taking you through time. Even the 'new' items bought in 1925 were 100 years old when we visited and I love how the building spans such a long history! Treat yourself to a cake and a drink in the cafe and chat with the super friendly staff who were lovely to talk to. Definitely worth a visit and an essential break from the noise and activity of the town itself!

Beautiful park and mansion close to the town centre yet you wouldn't know it, as it's so quiet and peaceful. A real gem and completely free of charge (although there is a donation box in the mansion should you wish to donate). The grounds are lovely for a walk or picnic, but don't miss out on the mansion itself. There is a lot to see in there, more than you would think, and the volunteers are really helpful and friendly. Free tours are offered twice daily and are really good, our guide gave lots of info and really brought the place alive. You can wander around the mansion and there are booklets in each room detailing what you can see should you wish to know more about the place. There is a delightful little courtyard where we sat and had coffee which was most enjoyable and relaxing. The grounds are spacious and very well kept, great space for children to play and they sell ice creams too. A must visit for tourists and locals alike and entry is all completely free! What is there not to like? Just go and enjoy

WOW. what a fabulous little place. the house is marvellous, a really breathtaking place. i visited with my brother and his two kids, ben and leslie, such cuties. 😊! they enjoyed the woolly trail as it was a fun activity and my brother and i were fascinated by the architecture of the mansion, such a nice tudor building. there was so much wonderful art and i was enthralled by the beauty and talent of all artists. The furniture indeed did too create a historical setting and i really did feel like i’d been whisked back in time! My brother and i really did have such a special day and the staff were so supportive and friendly, so welcoming and it really was the best time. We then ventured into the park which was such a beautiful area despite the english weather and there was an ornate fountain which really helped make the area so delightful. pet friendly so my brother could bring his st bernard’s and there were even ducks in the pond which we fed bird seed to! they were very well natured and if we could come back again for a picnic on a brighter day, i’m sure we would! it was such a lovely day and i am definitely going to recommend to many friends especially in the summer hols! it was free as well which was such a bonus! there was also an ed sheeran exhibit which was very close to my heart as ed is my favourite singer in the world his lyrics are so beautiful. thanks for reading.

I had a fantastic visit to Christchurch Mansion in Ipswich. The history of the house is genuinely fascinating, and the exhibits are beautifully presented. The gift shop is a real highlight—well stocked with souvenirs from Ipswich and Suffolk (perfect for gifts or a little something to remember your visit). There are clean public restrooms on site, and a quaint café serving teas and coffees with a nice selection of cakes and sandwiches. I sat outside in the courtyard at an umbrella table and it was a peaceful, charming spot to take a break. Overall, a lovely experience—highly recommended for locals and visitors alike.

Absolutely loved this place. More tosee than I could have imagined. Luckily we had a young lady give us a tour,always better. Thank you, we will be back.

Fun and free adventure to see some neat history. Staff was nice and building well taken care of.

Parking is free on some streets to the east of the park, then it's a short walk down to the Mansion. This is a great place to visit and the staff are so lovely! The cafe is one of the best I have been to the food is freshly made for you, very well presented, generous and very tasty. My bowl of chips was huge! You need to order condiments when you order your food, which is rather clever as it saves waste and keeps the cafe much cleaner. The Mansion is really interesting and there are booklets in each room to read, I recommend stopping and look at these rather than just wandering around. Lots of paintings and furniture to look at and the staff are happy to have a chat about the rooms.

Super friendly staff and neat decor. We visited for the Ed Sheeran gig and was not disappointed. The Tingly Ted burger was hands down one of the best burgers I've had! Would highly recommend and will return when we come back to Ipswich! Keep up the good work guys!

We got the tomahawk steak, which was unbelievable and well worth £57 as it fed 2 of us. The chips were a bit fat for me, but the quality of the food was undoubted. Service and atmosphere were also good. Would definitely go back there if we went back to Ipswich

We were visiting Ipswich and wanted a nice evening meal. We chose this restaurant because my wife enjoys a good steak. I prefer fish but also enjoy steak. They seemed from the menu to specialise in steaks. On arrival we nearly walked out again. The ground floor is a pub and loud music was playing. I hate music when I have a dining experience and want to converse. The young lady assured us it was quieter upstairs and she showed us to a quiet corner where the music was barely discernible. We both had starters. My spicy chicken thighs were excellent and very tasty. The portion was generous. I was disappointed that the cod with pancetta was no longer on the menu. I went for a rib eye steak instead. The steak was one of the best I have ever had. It was large and cooked perfectly rare as I asked. I am a bit used to restaurants charging high prices for steaks that are inferior to one I could buy in Aldi for £5. This steak was excellent and reasonably priced. The young man and young lady who served us provided excellent service and were warm and friendly. We didn't really want a dessert but the young man persuaded us to try their raspberry crumble on the house. We had one to share because neither of us had much appetite left. It was delicious. As a steak restaurant, Twenty5 is first rate. For me to return more often there would have to be a more varied fish offering.

Had a fantastic experience at Twenty5 last night. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was how accommodating the staff were when it came to food allergies. They took the time to explain options and made sure everything was safe without compromising on taste. It’s rare to find a place that balances quality food with such attentive service. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Great drinks, the cocktails were fantastic. Took my girlfriend for some food and honestly it was spot on, delicious. 10/10 service will definitrly be back, probably quite frequently lol. Staff were all lovely to talk to and provided excellent service. Highly highly recommend :)

Booked a table for dinner with some colleagues from out of town, partially to celebrate someone who will soon be leaving on promotion. Turned up to find they'd put gold stars on the table, tied a good luck balloon to his chair and gave us some gold balloons - yes I stated the reason upon booking, but didn't ask for a fuss - they just did it and told us our first drink was on the house. Absolutely wonderful service! The staff were all lovely and the food was absolutely delicious, would highly recommend.

Beautiful park with lots of mature trees, a formal pond with fountain and a wild pond. Lots of ducks and geese, sometimes an owl too. A cafe and ice cream place. Toilets. Also home to Christchurch park parkrun every Saturday morning at 9!

This is a lovely place to go, there is some lovely areas where you can see wildlife, some lovely places to walk and a very nice playground for the children we also found a smaller playground.

There is no free parking nearby but the park is lovely. Plenty of squirrels and ducks to feed. Also there is a food machine where you can get food for ducks if you forget. Its £1 and not much in it but always something. We enjoy going to park there

The pantomime was out of this world. Amazing talent and costumes. Book for the 2025/26 one!

Incredibly friendly and diligent front-of-house staff. Excellent view from all seats in the auditorium. Our only feedback is regarding the massive amount of sound escaping from the headphones of the patron beside us who was using the audio description service. We heard it all and it was rather distracting. Perhaps some better headphones that don't leak sound would benefit all patrons?

Absolute gem of a theatre. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere. We will definitely return. We watched Noises Off which we laughed all the way through apart from the 2nd act which made me cry with laugh - an absolute 'must see'.

A jewel in the crown of Ipswich entertainment. There's lots wrong with this town but this isn't one of the problems. A really good range of performances that should be able to satisfy anyone. The rock n roll panto is the pick of the bunch.

Visited Wolsey Theatre to see 125 years of jazz piano. What an amazing show. The trio from Ronnies Scot’s were so talented especially James Peterson on piano and so knowledgeable. Great little theatre. Need more shows like this one on there. Seating good so everyone can see and friendly staff, well organised.

My first time at the New Wolsey Theatre. Saw Bedroom Farce by Alan Ayckbourn. Brilliant play, impeccable timing and hilarious. Looking forward to my next visit in October. 🌟🌟🌟

We came to see Mike and the Mechanics at the Regent Theatre and had a wonderful experience. Venue staff were very friendly and tickets were scanned quickly when we were coming in so we weren’t standing out in the cold too long. The sound in the venue was fantastic and the seats were very comfortable. We will definitely be returning here and supporting this lovely venue again.

Saw Kevin Wilson there, excellent venue, disabled friendly access via lift and plenty of room. Friendly staff. Be aware that there is NO PARKING at this venue, but there is a brilliant multistorey car park that is part of the shopping centre and cinema complex just around the corner. Plenty of restaurants nearby to cater for pretty much all tastes.

Great place to go to enjoy live entertainment. We went to see Anton Du Beke last night and sat at the back but still had a good view of the stage. I don't think this theatre has any seats with poor views. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The only thing that really lets this theatre down is the toilets. They are dreadful and well overdue for a refurb. Fortunately I believe they are going to get one in 2025 so I shall look forward to that. Ipswich is very lucky to have such a lovely theatre and they put on a good variety of shows here throughout the year. I will be happy to go back.

Nice theatre. Really impressed with the hall. However, well need to improve bar area and toilets. Also add extra staff for the show break periods. Went for another show and stayed in the box. Very tiny, if you sit up in a front it’s nice and view is great, however if you sit at the back it’s a bit restricted view. Would take it for 2-3pl but not for 4.

The wheelchair space was really good and had an excellent view of the stage! My 7-year-old child had an amazing time. Sadly, this is not the case in many theatres, where the wheelchair seating is just not designed with the idea that wheelchair users might actually want to see something on stage. I'd happily drive back to this theatre (2.5 hours away) because I know my child could see the stage.

Took our 4 year old to watch Hey Duggee Live. We decided to go for a box which was very cosy and a great view! Very friendly and helpful staff, made it a great experience! Even met one of the cast outside for a photo!

Great seating , good booking system and good variety of shows 👍🏻 only reason not given 5 stars is technically not the theatres fault ,but, parking on a Saturday night is horrendous which does mean you either have to arrive really early or be prepared to potentially miss the start of the show

Visited for a few hours. Nice walk along waterfront. Lots of old dock buildings, mixed with modern. Plenty of coffee and food places. Worth a short stroll up to the shopping centres (2). Seemed to have plenty of carparks, but we walked.

Good for a very pleasant stroll, people watching, a bite to eat and a refreshing pit stop to have a pint or a coffee and enjoy the company of others.

Can't say much about the town centre other than be mindful of you go out there at night. There are a lot of people just sitting down randomly and drinking. However, the waterfront is pretty and had some lovely bars and restaurants.

Amazing Chinese dishes! Please remember to book a table as its very occupied restaurant! Which clearly explains why-the food is so delicious, and top class service! So friendly, have been there first time and they treat me like a family! Seriously so cosy place to eat, great atmosphere, everything superb! 5 ⭐!

Tried to get in 2 Saturdays in row twice solo without success and managed to go to different restaurant my Chinese restaurant also in Ipswich. Better portions and service and also great food. Underrated. But that well change. May not try this again as can’t always book into advance. Sometimes other unpretentious restaurants also are great

The food was just gorgeous at Trongs today. Authentic and rich in flavour across the board. Service was friendly by the team and the owner. Staff were attentive and brought water to the table automatically. It is a shame they do not do larger sizes in soft drinks. Also I had asked for items such as a straw for the drink or cutlery and this was forgotten. The toilets although compact did the job. I would still however recommend and visit again given the minor flaws noted today. Free parking after 18:00 using the car park opposite the location.

Best Chinese I've ever had, huge range of food and excellent service. Great value for the portion sizes, you wont be hungry! 95% of the menu can be made gluten free on request, and staff were careful to check if there were any other allergens. Will absolutely be coming back

Great venue, very quick service, you only get a couple of hours if you sit early (it's popular) we were a group of 7. 4 of us had set meal D the others ordered individually. We were all stuffed at the end. Great evening and just shy of £40 a head, including drinks. P.S The duck/pancake dish was superb.

What a disappointment!😞 After having used them a couple of times previously and been satisfied this time the food was just awful! The chicken and beef dishes were chewy like bubblegum and really didn't sit well with any of us. The rest was distinctly average. One of those takeaways that you eat begrudgingly because you've paid a decent amount but not because you're enjoying it.

Went for an afternoon tea at vodka revolution in Ipswich and it was great from start to finish! Waitress Carah was very friendly, polite and efficient and the food was amazing! So were the cocktails! Compliments to Will & Ryan the chefs! Will be returning! 👏🏽

Disappointed. Table looked sticky although it wasn’t busy at all. Fries looked like deep fried again, soaked in oil. Salads looked like yesterday’s too. Only chicken was fine. Drinks very watery. Place looked nice and inviting but food and drinks are terrible.

Fantastic afternoon tea the food tasted amazing and especially the Mac and cheese bites; they allowed us to swap a dessert to our preferred taste and were very accommodating. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I’ve waitress Carah was brilliant we had a lovely afternoon.

Decided to go to Revolution with a friend before we watched a film in Ipswich. When we entered it was nice to be inside a bar/restaurant which wasn't showing the football in every corner of the building. The food was absolutely amazing and we had a good laugh with the waiting staff who were on shift. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to eat whilst in Ipswich

Grace is amazing, second time we've been to brunch, and her service is impeccable, she really makes the experience special. Kamila, our waitress was banging. So friendly and helpful. Service in general was prompt and always cheerful. The pizzas were lovely, the burger buns were slightly burnt and could have done with pickles

We had bottomless brunch. The service we received was great, the staff were super friendly and nice. The food is really nice, but small so you definitely need to order sides too, especially if you're going to ha e cocktails. Good range of drinks apart from the beer option. Amstel is not a popular beer, a different beer option would be great.

Lovely for a short visit. Huge selection of yummy foods, country shop and plants. Not the cheapest of prices but a wonderful selection of foods you don’t find in a high street. Kids area with bouncy pillow, small tractor with slide and ice cream stand.

Came here for the day with my 2 children 10 and 12, they loved the bouncy pillow, and spent ages just having fun. We wandered around the deli and the homeware shop and it was still of beautiful things. We got an ice cream which was the best value I've cream I think I've ever had! Absolutely delicious... Massive scoop and only £3.50. A jolly lovely day out !

Great place to visit can be a bit of a wait to get served food/ coffee etc but lovely location. We were there for a car show. Will definitely come back.

We visited the restaurant for my birthday today, All 6 of us agreed the food was absolutely delicious the decor of the restaurant was stunning and view looking out just wow what a fantastic place..... But for such a stunning place the service was awful it was not particularly busy, the hostess when we checked in was rather rude, the waitress serving us was abrupt, we were not checked in on asking if our meals were ok or if we needed another drink, it was all rather "un-friendly" when we asked for another drink dessert menu we felt like an inconvenience! It felt arrogant - you need the good service to match everything else otherwise the experience is average guys hence the 3 stars

I had a cream tea which was really good value for money. A great location and the food was delicious. I visited the farm shop , the products are a bit pricey but it's good to treat yourself to something I would not usually get.

Fantastic shop in a scenic location beside the Orwell Bridge!! This is a real gem that we hadnt heard of before. We stopped to have a tasty sandwich and coffee before looking round the shop before picking up a few luxuries for us to take home. Would certainly come back again in the future

So many lovely food items. Might be a bit expensive, but I know I am buying fresh healthy foods. A gift shop, Ideal for Christmas presents for the family. We had a meal, which was delicious. Seating inside and out. A fresh fish stand, and garden centre. Plenty of parking. A lovely walk around the area, with wonderful views.

Basing my review on my most recent visit to the restaurant. Used to visit a lot before the pandemic and during eat out to help out, food and service was 10/10 back then. Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered Roast Pork Crackling and a side of cauliflower cheese. The crackling was so thick that I couldn’t even cut it! The cauliflower cheese was lovely, a generous amount of cheese and baked nicely. Reasonable priced, roast £16. Cauliflower cheese £5.50. My friends went for the roast chicken which looked amazing. The Eaten Mess Dessert didn’t look great, it was in a tall glass, without a tall spoon. The Fruit Crumble, was just fruit and oats, rather than a crumble. I’ve added photos.

Visited as an extended family for a meal following a nearby funeral (so I cannot rate rooms). Received a lovely welcome. Excellent food, delivered warm and freshly prepared to us all at the same time, despite there being seven different choices amongst our group. No hurry to vacate the table and the mini golf an added bonus for those young, and those not so, who fancied a game. Highly recommended.

Lovely lunchtime visit. Lunchtime menu is varied, however portions were huge for a lunch - almost too big and felt so wasteful sending so much food back. Bar person seemed a little irritated by us when I asked for the bill. Was told all bills are paid at the bar as if I shouldn’t known this.

We had a beautiful lunch today. There was 3 of us in our party, each ordered something different, the food was outstanding, all clearly cooked fresh to order. Large portions well presented and oh so tasty. Thoroughly recommended, and the menu is always being updated with specials too.

Stayed at the Railway Inn for a week whilst attending my daughter's wedding at the nearby venue 16. Our en-suite room overlooking the garden was light, spacious and warm with a wonderful king size bed and tea making facilities. The bar had a nice ambience with an extensive food menu at reasonable prices. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the location is ideal for anyone wishing to explore a little further afield.

Had Sunday lunch last weekend. Setting was lovely, but food was terrible. I had the roast belly pork and it looked and tasted as if it had been kept hot for hours. It was dry and unedible. It was mentioned to the staff, but all I got was" I'll tell the kitchen staff". My partner had the roast chicken and although much better was tasteless. We do not recommend the Sunday roast.

My son and I dropped in for a 'late lunch' on 11/08/25 after a hot and tiring morning. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The food was equally good - fresh, well cooked and really tasty. The surroundings were full of character and very relaxing. All in all , a great experience.

Cool restaurant with nice decor. Friendly, welcoming staff. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS, nicest burger ever! Chips were hot and crispy. We were stuffed but had to go for the classic banana split just for the nostalgia!

Came here on Friday night and was a great place. Booked so not sure about wait times but it was busy so I think booking is necessary here. Cocktails were great, we only had 2 but very nice and presented amazingly! All the food was nice we had good flavour, although for the price i think portions were a bit small. Dessert was great too. Service was fast albeit from a slightly uptight server! Oh well still a great place and id come back again.

I ordered a takeaway from Deliveroo. The Forge is just a mile away from where I am staying so, if the ticket and app is to be believed, Daniel took 27 minutes to reach me. Of course, by the time he arrived, everything was stone cold. However, after a quick blitz in the microwave, just enough not to spoil the meal, I was able to taste that 'Bertram's smashed burger' was extremely tasty, as were the fries. I was also impressed by the minimalist packaging, but there's no doubt that something rather than cardboard to retain the heat would have been beneficial. I will certainly use them again.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, not many people present so atmosphere was quite low. The food when it arrived looked presentable, I had a chilli type burger which was very nice apart from the price. My partner had nachos which had squirty cheese not melted, squirty guacamole and squirty salsa and what seemed like chilli's out of a jar, it was only Luke warm and not very appetising to say the least. I was gobsmacked at the price of a SMALL can of cider at £6. The waitress was great very helpful and polite. The place itself looked good and decorated well.

The Forge Kitchen – From Favourite to Never Again I first started going to The Forge Kitchen in 2018 when I moved to Ipswich. Back then, it was one of my absolute favourite places to eat out – delicious, well-seasoned food and genuinely friendly, helpful staff. After Covid, I visited less often, and in the past few years, hardly at all. Today I decided to give it another try, but sadly, I left very disappointed. Cocktails are now overpriced and nowhere near as good as they used to be. The food was also overpriced, lacking flavour, and served in rusty trays – very off-putting. The quality has gone downhill dramatically, and it’s heartbreaking to see what was once a great restaurant lose its charm. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience here. The staff were wonderful, the food was amazing and the drinks were astounding!! Had such a magnificent experience here and the atmosphere was perfect!

New Turkish restaurant in ipswich.

Went here to catch a film at Cineworld and have a burger at McDonald's afterwards. Wheelchair rating 4/5 this visit, pretty good. Normally a visit to Cineworld is because seeing the film somewhere else hasn't worked out, this was no exception. We wanted to see Mission Impossible at Omniplex in the Buttermarket (IMAX ticket £8) instead of Cineworld (IMAX ticket £19) but showtimes and our schedule weren't compatible, so off to Cineworld we went. Parking: because I'm disabled we managed to avoid the bunfight of the normal cinema parking and grab a disabled space from the small number available next to the cinema entrance. It's great they have these spaces, but there aren't enough and the signage is appalling - needs a big sign by car park entrance to say disabled next exit, a few yards further on. Payment: CCTV & ANPR, pay at kiosk or by phone/app. If you're seeing a film you can enter your reg number on a tablet in the cinema (ask staff to point them out) which gives you 4 HOURS FREE PARKING. Cineworld: The layout is better these days, they've done away with the upstairs coffee shop and now everything is on the ground floor with the Starbucks easily accessible on the left as you go in. The place seemed cleaner and better staffed than our last visit - albeit a couple of years ago. Nothing to complain about, it was tidy, disabled toilet was fine for example. The IMAX was impressive, it is very loud which I guess is what you pay for, the screen looked great - there were a lot of ads and they did seem to outweigh the trailers. The film itself was a great experience and absolutely what that kind of release needs to fully experience the artists vision. You can watch these films on small cinema screens and at home but it really isn't the same. McDonald's: slight faff in that you have to go back out onto the roundabout then quickly take 1st exit, then drive along a stretch of road where some fantastically ugly houses/flats are being built, then take the first left to get the McDonald's which was 100 feet from your parking spot. We ate in the car to save getting the wheelchair out. It was fine I guess. Chips were pretty cool when they arrived, no shakes available (again, why can't they just get machines that work!) burgers were OK. Let's be honest, most people would eat at one of the restaurants if they'd been to the cinema. When you're poor and disabled that's not necessarily an option hence a visit to McDonald's. So we don't really count McDonald's as 'eating out', it's more like 'refueling'. And as long as you're prepared to view it like that it was fine.

A practical, well-located leisure hub: decent parking (watch out for fines), a varied choice of restaurants, cinema, gym, and family-friendly Inflata Nation. It won’t sweep you off your feet stylistically, but it does get the job done—especially for a casual evening out or a family visit.

Sadly McDonald's came calling yesterday, purely inspired by their new advert for the New York stack.. honestly McDonald's this burger is a winner for me and should be a fixed item on the board. Its got everything you'd want, beef burger, lettuce, sauce, pickles, cheese and its in a bagel..Been a long time since I'd had a shake and so i plunged in for a try some 30+ years since my last 🤣 was super sweet, which spoiled it a bit. What i was impressed with is that they now moved across to paper straws, great ♻️ move..

Went Nandos was very tasty

Ordered a salad box not the best I've ever seen, deliveroo wouldn't help with the complaint so had to phone KFC direct the manager was brilliant couldn't apologise enough but still I have to go down there and get it myself, not a great experience.

Typical out-of-town entertainment and eating centre. Parking available, but usually busy when I visit.

Free day out so get there before it shuts in August for renovation. Check the website for activity days during summer hols. I was surprised by the range of animals including a mammoth and giraffe. Some fascinating information about Ipswich and surrounding areas. Worth a day there and you really don't get anything for free today so you have nothing to lose. We loved it!

It's closed for refurbishment until 2025 Supposedly Ipswich Museum will reopen then, but might actually receive some visitors if the local Council can be bothered to tell anybody this place even exists. Excellently displayed exhibits in traditional glass & wood cabinets, alike the national museums in the City. The red-brick building is impressive enough, but the interior is something else. Fantastic exhibits that are seen by a few who know that the museum is there, which cannot be many considering how secretive the site seems to be known to visitors to the town...

2021: So much has changed since I last visited, approx 2012. It has all been suitably updated and appears modern (as far as a museum can seem modern) and clean. The displays are engaging. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They said we could take as many photos as we liked as long as we didn't use flash. We spent ages in the first big hall with all the animals in. We enjoy going to the zoo, but to see a giraffe, gorillas, wolves, zebras and other animals we see at the zoo, so close, was very intriguing for my children (4 and 6). We used the little magazine they sell for 50p and got a 50p pencil too. My 6 year old enjoyed searching for the animals inside and ticking them off. All of the artefacts are genuine and the animals are all real animals, beautifully taxidermied (except for the giant mammoth - which a staff member told me has the same hair that Chewbacca has in Star Wars). The punishment chairs for whipping and dunking were rather disturbing to my children and couldn't be avoided as were on the main route. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have this disturbing area to one side in an offset room with a warning label to parents that children may find it disturbing (so they can choose to avoid it) We spent an hour inside and hadn't finished but it was closing time. The staff used an old police rattle to alert us that it was time to leave. I liked that touch. Well worth a visit!!

Superb place to visit and gain knowledge about the history of Ipswich and Suffolk along with the connection it had and is having with the world. The animals look very real and that is highly appreciated. Highly appreciative of the management who are maintaining ​the museum and the artifacts very nicely. Happy to visit the place again.

I visited the museum for the first time in 2019. To be honest I didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Especially liked the Egyptian mummy's, very well presented. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

Very lovely museum a lot to learn from and a must visit museum in Ipswich as well. The museum consists of three levels and separated into different sections too. You can take children as well and they can do some fun activities and learn about history war, nature and wildlife too.

Loved it. plenty of activities for younger kids. Exhibitions provide a depth of fascinating historical knowledge of both the local area, as well as a broader but more general insight into history of different cultures around the world.

Sit in a nice quiet pub in a local area next to the park. The staff are the nicest people in Ipswich and the food was incredible, everything was fresh and full of flavour with so much attention to detail. The cider sausage casserole was the star of the table but I've been told by my dad that the burger was "the best he's had in a long time". I write this while the staff are kindly and considerately taking care of dietary requirements of their patrons for tonight's quiz. I'll be making this my future haunt along with Chirin, my pup, who appreciated a pork scratching from the bar.

One of our favourite pubs. We love the cosy inside seating more, but the outside seating is also great. They have a nice backyard seating too. Friendly staff. We also love the food here. The fish platter and the loaded nachos our favourites. The Scotch eggs, though not with runny yolks, were decent.

Went here on a recommendation. I thought it was more of a town pub, couldn't be more wrong. Wonderful building, old floors and bottles, feels very much like a countryside pub. Staff are friendly and polite. The food is wonderful, I had a Philly Beef Cheese steak sandwich, plenty of cheese, beef cooked perfectly and a good quality roll. Cheesy chips are perfect, like chip shop chips! My fiance had belly pork, of course I tried some. Cooked perfectly, the glazed carrots were my personal favourite. Plenty of food, was very happy in the end. Will be back.

Amazing atmosphere! We went there to try a Italian pizza, and i MUST say that its definitely the best Italian Pizza in Ipswich! And i know what i saying as I am a pizza lover who knows and tried pizza in many places! This Pub is coming on my list now! Atmosphere inside is amazing such a nice cozy pub with dogs welcome! Really Highly Recommend!

My wife and I came here during a walk around the nicer parts of Ipswich. We had a few drinks whilst sitting in the outside area in the sunshine. There are also home made pizzas sold in this area.

Great place. Adnams beer and just a nice place and Grace behind the bar made sure we were properly looked after. Recommended.

Cosy, calm bar right on the waterfront. Really good choice of cake, coffee, tea and booze. Great choice of seating, tables and chairs, booths, armchairs and sofas. Nice lighting, music. Fairly quiet when we were there. Believe it's usually a student bar. So could be different on other times. Today 5pm good selection of ages. Inc families.

I met some friends for drinks and food at Cult last Friday night. I’d eaten at the bar before but don’t think I’d ever had one of the burgers. The double stacked beef burger was excellent, likewise the sides of dirty mac & cheese and corn on the cob. It was also very good value for £12.50 (including sides), as were the cocktails at two for £12. The staff were very friendly and happy to take orders at our table throughout the evening.

Had a delicious brunch here and took a huge sausage roll away with me! Bar staff were friendly and even tho busy we were served quickly.

Based a day trip to Ipswich from here having lunch and dinner. "Café" is really understated. This is a coffee shop with fresh cakes and comfy sofas. It's an airy restaurant with a well put together menu of tasty food. It's a friendly bar with a large selection of spirits and frequent live music. With a good view of the marina and a short walk to the town centre and budget hotels its a true gem.

After studying here for many years and finding this amazing little place, it became a regular spot for us to enjoy food and drink We wanted to enjoy a nice day out on the harbour and found ourselves gravitating back to here! We love the homemade food cooked in house as well as it being very child/ dog friendly in the day! Would 100% recommend the sausage rolls for anyone who has any doubts 😍

I love it there. There is always a good variety of all genres movies, there's car park with only £1 after 6pm currently. The rooms are large so you have plenty of seats (comfy too, might I add?) to choose from and also the 4D is of high quality as well and you will have the best time!

The popcorn was off so we went back to ask for fresh one but they were off too. Very disappointed by that as it’s expensive and also it’s a shame that Starbucks shuts early when there’s later showings so you can’t get any nice drinks. However it seemed very clean in there and quiet. The movie was good too.

We arrived for an early morning viewing to find out that 3 of the 12 screens had issues and were not running so our film had been cancelled. However we were greeted personally by the manager who explained the situation and our options (we ended up switching to one of the screens that was working and watched an even better film). Absolutely great customer service by Cineworld and excellent contingency planning.

Me and my friend had a wonderful time watching the new Fantastic 4 movie. Service was amazing, a member of staff called Maria, was very polite, and helpful. Worth going to again

Unfortunately, I had a horrendous experience at Cineworld Ipswich. My partner and I went to see Infinity Castle for my birthday and the audio was ridiculously loud, to the point that the staff my partner and I spoke to, even said it was too loud as they could hear it through two sets of doors and into the main foyer. We (and others in the showing) asked staff multiple times to turn the speakers down, and nothing was done, causing us to miss parts of the film. We ultimately left the cinema with banging headaches and our ears ringing. I contacted the cinema directly to complain about this, however have been ignored, so am taking my complaint to here. I've been coming to Cineworld Ipswich for years and loved it, however this complete lack of care, and awful customer service has left a bad taste...

Easy parking near by can be expensive. The pre booked ticket machines in the foyer didn't work. The IMax screen wasn't nothing special and the movie (Mission Impossible) showed some lag and motion blurring, it was difficult to watch in some places as a result. Sound was good and was loud. The seats were a little better than standard ones, but there was decent leg room. Tickets were stupid expensive best part of £40. I didn't think it was worth the money to be honest. The choice of food wasn't great, and Dick Turpin priced for the privilege. Venue itself was clean enough. Staff standing around chatting quite a bit.

Visited as an away fan, was an ok stadium. The staff we're polite enough. However, the seating in the away end is terrible. Very tight and close. The parking close is convenient, however very expensive. Wasn't the worst place visited.

Great ground,full of atmosphere & has really football history. Especially as we won . Ipswich deserved to stay up but see you in 26/27 season,hopefully!

This ground just was a class stadium the history of sir bobby robson sir Alf Ramsay some absolute legends of the football world the statue s around the ground were breath taking to see . The club shop was pretty good the staff a young team were very helpful plus you get to see a good view of the pitch from the second floor .

Went to see ed sheeran concert, had a great time. All staff were excellent and very helpful. On match days it's always the same cheerful and helpful people.

Nice on the outside dump on the inside, that's in the away section. No away fans allowed in the fan park. Don't go into the ground too early if you smoke because they don't let you out for a fag at half time!

Very popular bar on Matchdays. Immediately after the match it was too busy for me. So I went to the Arbour House, and came back here later. 4 staff servicing quickly and a good array of different ales. The smoking area had plenty of tables on a side walk. Might be better to try here midweek.

This is my favourite pub of all time. I want to thank Ross and the team for always being so welcoming & good-humoured when hosting our little group of French speakers. In particular, I want to say what a wonderful time we all had on last week & thank everyone in The Arcade Tavern for their attentiveness & sup. Fantastic range of Belgian beers too, by the way.

Great place in Ipswich to catch up with friends over a drink. Not a youngsters place so a nice relaxed yet grown up atmosphere. Highly recommend! Plenty or sitting space outside too!

Lovely little place with several rooms you can sit in with a 2nd bar that i guess is used on busy nights. Has a covered outside area as well on the street. Also has free WiFi and I had a good connection so no complaints there. Music was a nice level so i could make calls easy. Pity they don't do food other than bar snacks and sausage rolls but not every where can I know.

We love spending time at the Arcade Tavern. It's a historic building and really nicely set out. Always a superb selection of drinks and a real buzz on ITFC matchdays.

Love coming here, it’s usually always busy in a good way with a great atmosphere. Theres always plenty of bar staff which means you won’t be waiting long to be served. So many different gins to try. It’s lovely and cosy upstairs in the winter.

Always a nice place for craft beers, chilled atmosphere and very nice butchers sausage rolls. A little upmarket feel, but not pretentious at all.

Great little real ale bar with a really friendly feel

Brilliant pub with a good selection of ales to choose from. The Dove Street Inn was quite spacious, with a few different rooms away from the main bar area. The pub itself was very clean and served food. Although saying that the occasion I was there with a couple of mates they had stopped serving. This wasn't an issue though as the landlord was very accommodating in letting us order and eat a takeaway inside the pub.

Outstanding selection of beer, great service and friendly staff. Perfect pub.

Great pub always with extensive selection of real ales and, on most recent visit, a lovely balt shepherds pie. Plenty of space both indoors & outdoors. Not too far to walk from town centre.

Went for Christmas meal and oh my word what an amazing place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, really warm welcome on arrival, great tasting food. As a wheelchair user, it was really accessible with an automatic door as well making it easy to get in. Highly recommend, we'll definitely be back. Thank you everyone at St Lawrence cafe, you are all amazing.

This is the friendliest place to come for food or drink. The staff that work here are dedicated to their customers. A happy friendly atmosphere, while admiring the large stained glass widows. Lovely homemade food, Jacket patatoes, stew & dumplings all served with a smile.

The St Lawrence Cafe is inside the church. It is a lovely cafe with very friendly staff. A good selection of food and cake. The biggest bonus is it has lots of seating. It could benefit from a bit nicer chairs and tables but that won't stop me visiting again.

Community cafe operated by Realise Futures. Great value drinks and snacks including freshly brewed coffee and excellent fresh cakes in a unique setting. The beef stew and dumplings is excellent, I highly recommend!

Very nice cosy coffe shop in the medieval church. The church is old and beautiful.

Played 18 yesterday as a visitor on this fantastic course. The course itself was in superb condition; the greens were particularly impressive, running fast and true. There is a great variety of holes - only thing it is perhaps missing is a couple of short Par 3s but I found it thoroughly enjoyable. Can’t wait to play here again.

Took my son to the driving range and for a 9 hole round. The reception which used to be next to both has been moved to the main reception 200mtrs away. Now you have to park, walk to reception, pay, walk back b4 you get you're clubs out. Bit of a faff. This is before you attempt to swing a club. The greens are in an absolutely horrendous condition. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Played the 18 today. Really loved it. Greens were immaculate. If I am nitpicking, a couple of holes I wasn’t clear where the next tee was - beyond that, can’t wait to play it again.

The venue is very good all round and has facilities for lots of different events, plus the golf! I’d like to focus on the food. I’ve eaten there a few time’s now and it’s an incredibly high standard. Loads of locals produce and drinks. Last time we went my guest commented on how ‘posh’ it felt. To qualify that the surrounding are modern and we’ll deigned but the food is too and tasted delicious. A reasonably priced meal with quality ingredients and well thought out combinations. The staff are switched on a friendly. I’ll be back soon I’m sure.

The course is in good condition despite recent dry weather, The greens are very receptive which is great compared to courses I've played recently. Not overly challenging but good when you compare costs for local courses. The lady at reception was very helpful, which is always great Would play again when I'm in the area

Drove 50 minutes to play on the course they didn’t even confirm are booking so couldn’t play at the time we arrived for. Greens where dry mud and some holes were 40 yards not like advertised. Went on the driving range after and the balls came out wet and greasy would not return don't recommend.

I played Fynn Valley yesterday (10.06.22) despite the very hot weather the course was amazing. I played their team in the Curry Cup and was so impressed by what I was told I had to pay them a visit. The Greens were slower running than expected due to the lushness but they were immaculate. The staff were impeccable, as was the Clubhouse and food. Throughly impressed and would recommend to all golfers with in 50 miles of the course to make the trip. 5 stars.

This place is so nice. The atmosphere is very calming and the staff are all very polite, friendly and helpful. I came here with my partner to paint, and we both just sat down focussed for about 3 hours barely speaking as we were so concentrated lol! We had a milkshake which was quite nice, and then all the cakes and treats looked yummy so perhaps I'll try them next time. Well worth the money, £3 to paint and then the price of your item. We spent about £15 painting and got hours of fun from it.

I had a fantastic experience here! Only cost £5 pp which included a very generously sized drink, and once in, it's a very friendly atmosphere and really chilled out, which gives a good opportunity to socialise and chill with the people you've gone along with. The actual pottery options to paint are all very well priced too and there's a great variety (and good selection of paints too). 10/10. Highly recommend!!! The two ladies who served us were absolutely amazing. My self and my husband came in with our 7 day old baby. They gave us a wonderful experience of personalising a Christmas decoration with a foot print. The lady was so gentle and patient with the babe. She helped us chosing the right designs and personalisation. I will definitely return for more keepsakes. Many thanks ladies.

This wonderful little gem is situated behind WHSmith, between the back of M&S and Debenhams. It's a cafe with a difference, while you sit (inside or out in the covered courtyard) and enjoy your coffee and cake you could also try your hand at painting some ceramics. There is always lots of choice for all ages and their stock changes depending on the time of year (mothers/fathers day, Halloween & Christmas). They also do commission pieces so if you need a decorated plate for a wedding gift or want your baby's first footprint turned into a reindeer, they can help. They also do clay imprints which can be either a child's foot or hand print in clay. They have a pizza and prosecco night (adults only) where you can paint and have pizza brought to your table, these are on the first Friday of every month and book up months in advance. They also have staff led workshops where you could learn some new techniques to create your masterpiece. There is an upstairs area where they have children's birthday parties (all booked in advance and deposits required). If painting isn't your thing then you can just enjoy a tasty treat from their selection of cakes or a toastie or jacket potato with a selection of fillings. There are plenty of cold drinks to choose from including milkshakes and a wide range of hot drinks with or without normal/oat milk. It's an independent business with friendly and helpful staff, a little slice of rest, relaxation and refreshment in the town centre.

Been here twice myself now with friends who have been going here for years. My wife also went here for her hen do and she really loved it. I'm absolutely no artist and it definitely shows but I have loads of fun on each occasion and the availability of drinks, snacks and cakes is a great bonus too.

Such a lovely time here, as always. The team are so friendly and helpful. So much choice of what you can paint. Something for everyone. Cakes are amazing.

The place is great!! First time visit & will definitely return. Amazing selection of beers, great atmosphere, friendly staff & friendly locals, lovely garden outside, perfect summer afternoon drinking.

Always a very popular pub in Ipswich, serving many real cask ales. It is a welcoming place with good service and also serves lager, cider etc. On draft along with any other drinks you'd expect. Outdoor seating is plentiful and divided into private booth type arrangements, which is great for small groups to get together. Indoor seating and bar seating is good, with some large tables for groups in the room adjoining the bar. If you want to order a takeaway for delivery to the pub, they will provide cutlery and crockery for you, and being is a busy part of the town there are many local take-aways to choose from. Parking is possible on local roads, but there is no parking at the pub itself.

It's an amazing find and one of my new favourite beer gardens in all of ipswich! Lots of greenery and plenty of benches to go around. Very nice atmosphere and a great place to go at any time during the week. The service was also highly appreciated with actually good recommendations and advice. Very likely to visit again!

A brilliant local pub with friendly staff and a huge selection of excellent beers that have been looked after very well.

Lovely venue, with some great beer. We had an Amstel and a Bitburger. Say outsider in the smoking area. Very clean and tidy with plenty of room to sit.

What a great pub! The very best real ale for many miles. Top notch. No food, no music, fruit machines or TV. Great.

Good vibes from this place. Staff are all welcoming, it was great to have a chat with the owner it's not something you see these days, he was getting involved clearing tables and talking to guests. Had burgers from slap and pickle and they were good real meaty patties. Plenty of food choices from around the court. With a large upstairs bar with good drinks and prices are in keeping with the area. It's a great addition to ipswich.

This is different and good dining experience. More expensive than a sandwich less expensive than a sit down restaurant. Roughly £10 for a main plus drink. There were 6(?) different vendors all offering a different style of food, there should be something that the whole family/group can eat. I tried the pie and mash option which was good. There is communal seating and plenty of space. A good selection of beers and wine. Will visit again to try a different food type.

Titsu, south Indian curry, was delicious. We chose the chicken Briyani and the 3 dish starter platter. The food was very tasty and spicy. It was a little hard yo order as there was no description for the dishes. The Briyani was nice but was lacking in the amount of chicken in the dish. The side dishes were outstanding lovely and spicy. I would definitely recommend a visit.

If you do anything over the summer holidays please check out Tower Street Food Hall (the old Yates building). I have added photos of the menus. Highly recommend the pizza from D&D's Pizza and also anything off the menu from Daruma ( the gyoza is incredible!). Also lots of cocktails on the drinks menu along with the usual soft drinks, wine, beer and hot drinks.

I'm a big bao bun lover and it was my first option to choose the Big Bro Bao.The food it was very delicious, juicy and the fries was crunchy as well. I ordered some coleslaw and miso mayo too. We visited the Food Hall twice. Every time the staff was very friendly and the place was clean and tidy. The small play area it's perfect to keep the childrens busy.

The bucket list's chicken nugget fries were excellent, the Indian food from Titu's kitchen was however not up to my indian expectations. The chicken wings and onion rings from slap & pickle was very good too.

Really good spot for Ipswich 🥹 I was greeted as soon as I walked in; introduced to the food; felt welcome. It’s NOT like a mall canteen, this is like a London market food bazaar 🙂 It feels good quality and new and relaxing 🙏

Friendly and helpful door staff, pub seemed a little dark and not too comfortable. Large speakers were fixed to the walls but played no music which made for a bland atmosphere. Guy serving behind bar also friendly but I had to wait a while to get a beer as he was serving alone and a few customers were in front of me with large orders. My favourite ale shipyard wasn't on and I was offered a sample of a local ale which was nice & I ordered a pint with a meal of milk chicken, chips & salad. Table had dried beer stains on it and chair was wobbly. Food arrived promptly and was hot, chicken was shiny where it was still wet from being deep fried, but tasted good. Salad fresh & crispy, dressing sauce nice. Toilets like the rest of the place looked tired and due for a refurbishment, the pub looked a little unloved, scruffy and messy, tissue was on the floors and the paintwork around doors looked shabby. I was going to have a couple more pints but it was chilly in there so I left. Good effort but a little disappointing.

Not a regular visitor to this pub because it is usually very busy,. But on a Wednesday evening when the dinners have left it is very quiet and friendly. Both the food and drinks are very reasonable at all times it is just that it is more a younger persons pub.

Cheap but awful food. Ordered Philly Cheese Steak. It arrived stone cold. Beef was cremated. Came with a tiny pot of gloop which was supposed to be the cheese sauce. However good selection of beers at cheap prices. Just don't order the food

Gorgeous juicy steak cooked how you like it every Tuesday, steak night. We come here often on date night. Seriously, where can you get 2 14oz Aberdeen Angus steaks with all the trimmings, side of onion rings and a drink each for £20?!

More clubby than the near by Cricketers, but food is still served, and is on good quality, and reasonable prices. Can become loud in the evenings. Recent change of hands may mean changes?

Excellent curry with everything included that you would normally pay extra for at a standard curry house. Beer was great too and an excellent selection. Would have given 5 stars except for the mouthy blond girl who was clearing tables... she needs a lesson in "banter" in when it is appropriate and not acceptable. She was complaining to the customers about not being promoted, er "hello" this is why, because you're a gobby mare and to be honest, the customer does not want to hear it. Sadly the Robert Ransome is closing soon due to the lease being expired, so it will only leave the Cricketers across the road as the only Wetherspoons in Ipswich sadly. Shame that the staff will be losing their jobs, well accept the gobby mare.

The burgers are fantastic! An excellent place to grab a bite and drink a couple of beers!

Amazing cocktails, reasonable price, friendly staff to cater to your every need. Doormen are incredibly patient friendly and the music is always spot on! Very well run establishment. I would definitely recommend stopping by here! it’s really good for Ipswich Night out.

What a great place finally in Ipswich! Everything is 10*! The decor is beautiful and high quality, the drinks selection is great, the staff is friendly and provide excellent service and know how to look after the customers and the dj’s play the best music too! Always good music and is the place to be, plenty of friends go here for a night out. Service is always good, despite it being very busy at times you never wait long to be served and the manager has always got time to say hello to his customers.

Supper club was amazing. Made my time in Ipswich a lot better. We went for a coffee the second day and ended un partying the whole night. Staff become like friends to us and helped suggesting some awesome cocktails.
