Look, this spot surprised me. I actually loved my sandwiches. I got the brisket and pork shoulder dipper that was recommended. Both were really good! I would definitely hit up this place again. My only gripe is that it’s a smaller place and people were wanting to sit while other people that had finished their food, hung around and talked for 20-30 minutes. Folks, if you are done eating at a busy spot…after about 5 minutes, get up and go! Don’t be rude, continue socializing outside. 💯

Stopped by for lunch looking for a local taste and I’m glad I went here. I tried the turkey pesto sandwich which was grilled and cheesy and delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient and had their own favorite recommendations. Inside was clean and pleasant to sit and wait in as well as dine in.

What a cool spot. Great for lunch (goes without saying based on the hours they’re open), super relaxed, attentive service, great food. I had the Cuban sandwich and corn chowder and both were top notch.

Good sandwich and soup but small portions. I usually able to share a sandwich but this one I could've ate by myself. I'd like to try other things before I make a final decision because this place has very good reviews but the pastrami sandwich I ordered was nothing special

I started an online order for pickup (a Walla add pickles and a small vegetable soup) during peak lunchtime hours. I arrived for pickup and the staff found they didn't have my order, which is when I realized I foolishly did not complete the order. The staff was SO KIND and started an order for me in-store right away, and had me on my way in no time. They keep their cool even when busy, remain calm kind and helpful, and clearly have an organized system for filling both in-person and online orders efficiently. And the sandwich and soup was DELICIOUS. Will 1000% be returning for lunch again.

It is a friendly deli place with pretty good, fresh, and tasty sandwiches, salads, and few soups. Quite simple, no frills, but the prices are reasonable, and service is efficient and cheerful. Recommend for fast lunch in downtown Indy.

A friend recommended this place and I’m glad I came! The service was warm and friendly, and the dining environment was very comfortable. I tried the spring rolls and pho—both were great. I especially recommend getting the pho with spice; it adds more flavor without being overly hot. Overall, excellent value for the price!

Food is REALLY GOOD and for AWESOME prices. Have been back a couple times now and everything has been really tasty. Came here with my finance and we were able to get two big bowls of pho, big plate of crab rangoons, 2 spring rolls, and a plate of sesame chicken with rice all for only like $45. Needles to say we had lots of leftovers to take home. Food comes out very quick and staff is very nice and responsive. We came close ish to closing time as we both worked late. They didn’t rush us or push us out at all (we still tried to not stay too long as they were starting to clean up and we didn’t want To keep them too long).

One star for the convenient location only. I was looking for another restaurant after Bamboo House closed and this place is a hard no for me. I have never received Chinese food in a foam container. Sauce from the chicken broccoli spilled out of the container. The food was not freshly prepared. The hot and sour soup was very sweet and nasty. Had to choke the food down because that's what was for dinner. I would not recommend this place.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff are super friendly they recognize me when I come in and they treat me and everybody as if we are their favorite customer. The food is always on point. I love the Thai food and everyone I know has a favorite dish at this place. I typically get crab rangoons, fried dumplings and a pork chop over rice with an egg. Never disappointed at this place if you have not been here go now drop everything and run! Go get some of this amazing food. Every time I go here I usually see quite a few Asian people enjoying the food so that tells me that the flavors are authentic

Ordered take out got home chicken over cooked hard. Over cooked egg rolls chicken was covered in sauce and dry at that. Was given a refund will not oder her again

Ordered their dinner special (orange chicken) for takeout lunch today, and it was delicious! Normally orange chicken is disgustingly sweet, and this was not! Their fried rice also was super yummy, not greasy/oily. Price wise, I got quite a bit of food for $11 (orange chicken, fried rice, 2 crab rangoon, egg drop soup, and a fortune cookie). The staff there are super friendly and seem really sweet. My order was ready pretty quickly too. A huge advocate for supporting local businesses, and this is one I’ll keep going to :)

This restaurant is most likely a local neighborhood favorite. Given its awards and high reviews, it leads you to believe it's a 4-5 star quality restaurant. But unfortunately, it's not. It's a quick fix, fast foodish, cafeteria like restaurant. Everything I ordered was average. It didn't taste fresh and was warm. The huge selection in the menu leads you to believe that not everything on it gets sold. It's definitely not the 4-5 star authentic pho you're looking for.

Walked in on a slow Saturday afternoon, and the woman behind the counter did not glance up or say hi/welcome in or anything. I asked about the “chicken velvet” soup because the description is pretty allusive, she rudely responds while still not looking up once. Super off putting vibe so I left. Can’t speak to the food, this review is purely off the initial interaction.

Myself and four coworkers went to lunch here while at a conference. We were skeptical of restaurant after recent reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Staff was welcoming and polite. Service was fast and cheapest meal we had while in town. Shop is cute, but small. Only 9 seats. We tried chicken tortilla, chicken noodle, lobster bisque, tomato and gumbo. All were great! They even have soup flights. I would recommend. Hit the spot on a cold windy day.

Ordered delivery from Soupremacy and the kale/parmesan soup with spicy sausage was incredible—easily one of the best soups I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and super satisfying. I also ordered a panini and some extra bread, but unfortunately those didn’t make it, as they were closing soon and ran out. Bit of a letdown, but the soup was so good it still made the meal worth it. Would definitely order again (just earlier next time!)

I love soup. I did a search for soup in my area and found this place. I was sho excited and placed my order for pick up. When I arrived the lady there was rude and seemed annoyed at my order because she had to leave the store to pick up the frozen soup flavor I wanted. She asked me to wait outside so she could lock up. I also ordered the trio so I could try different flavors. Chicken Velvet, Chicken Noodle and Lobster Bisque. They were all extremely disappointing. Lacking flavor, poor quality, and the texture was off. I couldn’t eat any of them. I won’t be back.

Ordered some chicken noodle soup (16 oz), I seriously got a literal 5 noodles in my soup. The quality is pretty meh, nothing worth $10 for 10oz of just straight up broth only. Do not recommend at these prices.

I like a lot of their food, but their potato salad is advertised as: "Steamed baby red potatoes with crumbled blue cheese and fresh dill," What I got was standard, sweet, deli-counter potato salad. No blue cheese. No dill. Enough sweet relish to qualify as dessert. Gross. Then they gave me two potato salads when I ordered one potato, one pasta. Double gross.

On 5/23/24 I found myself in need of a quick meal as I forgot to get lunch and decided to grab a half salad and cup of soup from Small Batch Soups across the street from my office. My usual choice, the Caesar salad, was as reliable as ever. However, my experience with the Gazpacho was a letdown. The first spoonful was so bitter that I had to immediately discard it. This disappointment added to my growing list of lackluster soup experiences at this establishment, with only the wild mushroom soup standing out as a positive exception. It's clear that there is a consistency issue with the flavors of the soups here, and it seems like the chef may not be tasting and adjusting the recipes as needed. While I want to support local businesses, if your niche is soups they should be the best soups anyone has ever tasted. The overall lack of flavor and the bitter experience with the Gazpacho have led me to lower my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars. (7months ago) I have eaten here about 6 times in the past 3 weeks. I work in the Sales Force Tower which is very close and convenient to run across the street to get food. I got the chicken velvet soup today which was my first time I have gotten it and will be the last! It tastes like milk and flour mixed with some chicken in it, it is inedible, and lacks salt which I usually never say about food because I do not like the taste of salt. I’ve had Chicken Velvet soup before from the Educated Sandwhich which was amazing! Very disappointed! I guess it’s just the half of the Swanson I also ordered for lunch today.

A Vietnamese family restaurant where it was publicly applauded for its food by the newspaper and by the local magazines. Place was very clean. Sandra herself took my order. Her family member cooked my food. I would normally get the pork chops but this time I got the shrimp 🍤 curry🍛. It was very good. By the time I realized there was none left. Haha I ate it so fast. The clay pot stuff is unreal! Seriously some of the best food I've ever had. It's always clean, food is always good, and service is great. If you like vietnamese, this place is it.

I came for the vietnamese pancake and worried when it wasn't listed on the menu. They do have them, and boy are they good! Crispy exterior with an ample stuffing of fresh sprouts, quality shrimp and pork. The basil served with the garnish was sooo flavorful and the dipping sauce was excellent. Definitely putting this place in my rotation

I try something different each time I dine. The food is good. Haven't tried anything I didn't like. So you can be confident dining there.

Super busy restaurant! On wkd you could experience 1 plus wait time so avoid going right on opening! Tofu salad was great. Braised curry beef was amazing. Drunken noodles were below average It lacked that charred wok and was super sweet . The chili pepper dish was okay. Be careful with the spice level because there spicy is very spicy. So if you cannot handle it ask for mild or nothing. Enjoy.

Overall the food was pretty good. They have a decent number of vegetarian options, but if your group is entirely vegetarian, it might be difficult to get enough dishes. The Naan can be better though. The service is good as well. They do not take advance reservations. So you have to get there early and put your name down.

No reservations? No problem — line up, because Bodhi is so worth it! The appetizers were 🔥, the main dishes were an experience on their own, and the cocktails tied everything together perfectly. The service? 100 out of 10 — so friendly and attentive, it made the meal even better. The cozy vibes just add to the experience. I’m obsessed with Thai food, and this might be my new favorite spot in Indy. Plus, I got some great pics to prove it 📸🍜🍹. One visit and you’ll already be planning your next!

Amazing spot for date night!!! One thing to note is they don’t take reservations so you have to get there early around five to 5:30 PM to put your name out on the list. I think we arrived at 7 PM and waited around 50 minutes for our table. However, it’s totally fine because you can go right around the street to a couple different bars and grab a drink in the meantime! Absolutely loved every drink and dish we got here. I would recommend trying out their seasonal drinks and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the drink menu! Even the bar is on the waitlist so plan ahead and make sure you have blocked out time for both waiting and eating at the restaurant! I think you get around an hour and a half at your table once you are seated. We got the crab Rangoon’s as an appetizer and I don’t know if we were just starving at that point or they were the best things I’ve ever had in the world, but it was one of the two for sure. The service is wonderful and the vibes are amazing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cute date spot in Indianapolis!

We did our research and knew they open at 5pm and do not have online or phone reservations, so we arrived early enough. Good weather to just wait a bit outside. We got there around 4:45pm on a Friday, and there was already a line of about 20 people formed. It was worth it to be one of the first and not have to be on a long wait for sure. It was a pretty great experience overall. Service was very kind. We decided to sit outside in the garden area and it was really nice place for a date. We were really lucky, they had a new summer cocktail menu just come out (see picture). I really liked having the pictures of the cocktails to visually get an idea of what we’d be drinking. I really liked the style of the menu, and everything was shareable. Overall the cocktails were great. The fruit & fire reminded me of a summery orange margarita. I really liked the Seven Realms of Happiness drink too. We came for the pad thai noodles and it was amazing. We agreed that it was our favorite pad thai we ever had. Also really great yellow curry. 2 of the entrees were perfect size for sharing, we finished it all. We can’t wait to go back and try more!

Excellent food, amazing service, and I love that the dessert options are local (and delicious)! My family felt very welcomed and accommodated, especially since one person in our party uses a wheelchair and needs to use straws. We'll definitely keep coming back!

Bodhi was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. We went on a Friday night and only had to wait about 15 minutes for an outdoor patio seat (when the weather is nice request this! It’s such a beautiful space with ivy & flowers) The cocktails are presented so beautifully & taste delicious. I recommend the Corn + Yuzu & the Cha Yen! Dinner was phenomenal. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail might be the biggest I’ve ever seen, and the sauce that comes with the sticky sweet tamarind tofu is DIVINE! Their version of Tom Kah Gai (chicken coconut soup) is not only one of the best I’ve had, it is a massive portion and easy to share with 2-3 people. The massaman curry and naan was great and my husband’s yellow curry was fantastic. The chicken fell off the bone! I cannot wait to go back. It was an exceptional experience and we had a great time. Service was top notch as well!

Delicious soups, salads and noodle wrap! I come here often for a quick, inexpensive lunch.

Had the Vietnamese Noodle Wrap. On the menu, it states the Asian Slaw that is in the wrap has ginger, cilantro, and jalapenos. In reality the slaw was lettuce with some sauce. Had to go back and ask for the jalapenos. The chili also included black beans which was not on the menu.

Delicious vegan tomato dill soup!

Food was amazing. Service was great. Avocado toast can use a little more flavor but it was still good. Chilaquiles were bomb and the croissant French toast was to die for. Only reason for not having 5 stars is the method of check out/payment. This trend of handing the terminal to the customer while the waitress waits for you to select the tip amount is tacky and uncomfortable. Either leave the terminal and go away, or hand me a paper receipt that I can write in without having the waitress giver over me. I recommend not adopting these distal payment trends. Other than that, great place to eat.

I was definitely expecting a great breakfast based on their reviews, but I left disappointed. The Croissant French Toast was a huge disappointment, it was extremely flat and flavor without syrup was decent at best. The included fruit cup looked great, but the pineapple was basically the core it was so hard. The only plus for this place was the two egg omelette off the kids menu, which my son really enjoyed. Service was decent and staff were friendly. Overall if you’re looking for coffee give them a chance but pass on the food.

Delicious and fulfilling breakfast. If it were near the hotel where I stayed, I probably would have eaten there every day. The food was exceptional. We ordered egg whites, smoked salmon, and fruits. I love that they add Arugula as part of the dish. Everything was fresh. Service was great.

Food was OK. The menu was very misleading. The vegan options were basically a plate full of rice and beans with everything else that is not Vegan removed from it even though it said it had cheese and other ingredients that could be vegan if they had vegan imitation cheese and so on. When we brought that piece of information to the waitress attention, she just said OK. Some of the food was good like the vegan chickpea pancake. The waffle, grilled cheese was so plain and unflavored. And the turkey sandwich had massive chunks of turkey that were not very pleasant to eat.

So this place was a home run. I don’t know about everything else, but for omelettes this place is a home run We arrived around 8:30 AM on a hot summer morning, to which we were promptly seated. Service was excellent, and the plus to the omelettes, the eggs used are Vital Farms. These are some of the best eggs you can buy for not only quality, but also taste really great. If you’re looking for a made your way omelettes place, then this is for you.

Bright, welcoming café with a creative brunch menu that satisfies vegetarians, vegans and classic breakfast lovers alike. The self-serve coffee is a bonus, and the vibe is lively and fun. I have the make your own omelet and it was good. Pricing leans upscale for a brunch spot, but the fresh ingredients and imaginative dishes make it worth a visit

A rare unicorn. In my experience, it seems like breakfast spots either have good food or good coffee, but seldom both. Cafe Patachou has amazing food and coffee. I had an omelet and my wife had a cuban bowl. Both were wonderful. Make sure you get some cinnamon toast to go. You won't regret it!

I had a great experience at Bazbeaux Pizza in Indianapolis. Our server, Evan, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and full of helpful suggestions. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the *Tchoupitoulas* pizza (being from Louisiana, the name definitely caught my eye), but Evan recommended it, and it turned out to be absolutely delectable. The flavors were unique and really well-balanced. I also ordered half *Colossus*, which was hearty and satisfying. While it might not be the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had, it was definitely very tasty and worth the visit. Overall, between the great food, reasonable prices, and outstanding service from Evan, Bazbeaux is a spot I’d definitely return to next time I’m in town. They could use a couple of TVs though because the game was on too.

It took me way too long to try this place out, but better late than never. The pizza was absolutely delicious.I chose to do a build your own pizza but they have several signature pizzas I would like to on my return visit. The service there was great as well. 10/10 would recommend.

We stopped in on a Friday night, so we expected it to be busy, but it was a little later in the evening and we were seated right away. There were a number of empty table, so we weren't expecting to wait on our food for almost an hour. The table next to us actually left before their food came because they felt they had waited too long. Our waiter was fine, and did seem to be doing a lot of running around in the dining room and outside, but wasn't particularly personable. The pizza was good, as were the salads, but there was quite a bit of icky brown lettuce in the Caesar. So, I would give this place another shot, but wasn't terribly impressed with my first experience there.

I was in the area for business and actually headed somewhere else for lunch when I walked past Baxbeaux and I smelled the amazing smell of pizza being baked, so I went in. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went in, but I did read previous reviews that were very positive. Upon going in, I saw it was a walk-up counter where you can order a slice or whole pie, drink, sides, etc. They had several pizzas made they were pulling slices from, but they weren’t re-heating them, just plating and providing. I opted for a slice of pepperoni with jalapeño and a drink. The pizza looked great, but the crust was cardboard hard and just as bland. The toppings tasted OK, but wasn’t great. The temperature of the pizza slice was cool too. Very disappointing considering how popular this place seems to be. Maybe a fresh pizza pie would be better, but based on the taste and texture of this crust, I highly doubt it. Sorry, but I don’t get the popularity of this place.

My husband and I ate at the downtown location yesterday. Food was delicious and our server, was very informative. Although I didn’t catch his name, he loves his combat boots! As a veteran, I totally appreciate that! He was awesome. We will be back. We sat outside and the ambiance was so relaxing. Thank you for the great food and wonderful staff. We will be back.

Best thin crust I have had in many years. Great selection of sandwiches, appetizers, and pizza toppings. Attentive service and great music selection playing (alternative and progressive rock) made for good vibes.

Let’s talk pizza. There are a lot of pizza places in this country. First you have the retail chain spots, then you get to the real deal pizza. This is a real deal here. No frozen sent in from a factory to reheat pizza here. This is a great spot on Mass Ave. they have several specialty pizzas to choose from or make your own with the most available toppings I’ve seen for pizza. Nothing here is bad. The flavor is amazing, fresh and the food is served hot. As a special for me they do serve coca-cola products. If you follow me then you get that. The restaurant is clean . The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend checking this place out.

The hype for this place is totally worth it and I’m glad I got to experience their artistry in food and drinks. I was meeting a friend for a Friday night dinner. We were shown to the table upon arriving at our reservation. We ordered their famous fried Brussels sprouts, summer panzanella salad, Lumache and Vanilla cake for the dessert. Salad was a treat and the pasta was definitely one of the best I’ve had. Definitely going back to try more items from the menu.

A unique menu and cozy interior. Went here for dinner and started off with chips and dip, which was simple, yet so fantastic. I had the large panzanella salad for my main course, which was filling. I would happily go back if I was in the area again.

Bluebeard provides a new daily menu. Their waitstaff, including the chef, are extremely accommodating when it comes to allergies. Whatever the chef curates, you can trust the dish will be more than impeccable - expect umami! Exceptional gratitude goes to this establishment as it can be challenging to find excellent dishes that can accommodate challenging allergies. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food, excellent service and great ambience. Went to the restaurant with my niece and had heard good things. We started with the grilled bread and chips and dip. The bread was outstanding and had a selection of butters. The chips were okay but nothing that I would get again. Brussel sprouts were outstanding and had great flavor and texture. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor along with the grilled lettuce. My niece had one of the pasta dishes and she said it was delicious. We tried vanilla cake and peanut butter cake, both were outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant and can see why it is so well reviewed!!

Incredible food! Really excellent. Lower score for atmosphere is due to the noise; love the farm bookstore vibe. Also please don’t overdo the A/C so badly. Great meal.

I didn’t get to check this restaurant out my last visit to Indy, so happy I was able to make it this time! Phenomenal food, I somehow ate two plates and dessert. This is the absolute best restaurant I have ever been too, exceptional quality and fresh ingredients and the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Wonderful dinner! We were lucky to get two seats at the bar! The service from Emma and Brian was superb! The sommelier Ryan was also excellent and helped us on our wine choices! The food was absolutely delicious! Afterwards ended the evening with an espresso martini with local Indianapolis vodka! Great night! Thanks for the good food and service! We look forward to another great dinner next time we are visiting Indianapolis!

Absolutely lives up to the HYPE !!! Amazing food. Interesting menu. Vibe is perfect. Genuinely friendly staff. Top shelf service. I will ALWAYS stop here if I'm in town, and YOU should too !!! Early bird gets the worm...but it's worth the wait !!! Can't wait to go back.

We came here because a travel YouTuber raved about this place. Let's start with the good... The presentation and unique menu items are definitely a plus. It was a beautiful day so we decided to sit outside. My wife had the smash burger and iced matcha magic with lavender. I had the pastrami hash with an iced honey buzz latte. The food was okay. The smash burger had an odd combination of flavors and did not impress. It came with a pretty tasty side of fries. The pastrami hash included an egg, potatoes, carrots, onions, and mustard. It was nice but not something I would write home about. Overall, the portion sizes for the drinks and food were mediocre for the price. The food quality was very high however there is an included 20% gratuity which I am very much against. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't get why this place is so expensive.

I was in town from Atlanta, GA for a concert… the concert was great, but I would come all the way back up here just for this place. The hospitality was next level. As for the food… I’ll let it speak for itself on this one… 😋 Special shoutout to Joey, Noah, Matthew, Braden, and Josh!

We had a great time! The food and beverages were great and the server was very friendly. For the four of us with coffees, appetizers, and food it was upwards of $175, so the only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because I feel like it was slightly overpriced. But my complaints are purely fiscal, as the people, food, and atmosphere were all great!

So good - first went to Milktooth in 2017 and was enamored with the lamb burger they had at the time. Alas revisiting eight years later the burger was not there, but the menu still stays funky and tasty as ever. Started off with the brown butter latte which was as indulgent as it sounds. Had a big brunch spread: had the biscuits with goat cheese which were PHENOMENAL. Got a few sides like the strip and slab bacon which were really tasty (though I’d have preferred more slab bacon as the strips were a bit too dry for my taste). Got the peaches and cream dutch baby pancake which was just the perfect amount of sweet. Love that this places continues to thrive and have a huge following (8 years later and still waited 45 mins for a table).

Finally got to experience Milktooth's brunch this weekend and it honestly didn't really live up to the hype for me. We came on a Sunday afternoon and expected to wait (they're always busy and we knew this ahead of time). We were estimated 20-25 min for 2 people. We sat down to wait and after about 20 min, we decided to get drinks at the coffee bar. The drinks were very good and aesthetically pretty. Finally after 50 min of waiting, we went up to the host stand and our name was already crossed off. They must have forgotten about us. We were sat at the bar and it was pretty crammed to be honest. The food is all fresh and made to order but the portions are pretty small and overpriced.

Fancy fancy brunch spot in Indy. I was here with a friend for a Sunday morning brunch. They don’t take reservations, there’s a standard wait time of min 30 min. Their speciality coffees are absolutely amazing. We got their notorious fig, gochujang latte. Both are amazing. Their Dutch baby pancakes are definitely worth trying. I ordered their special peach and chantilly pancakes. The portions are moderate and the service is great.

I had a great first experience here! I ordered the Hoosier Tenderlion which Tasted surprisingly delicious. Also I was definitely pleased with the service we received here. Our waiter was very kind and answered all of our questions. However this restaurant is very busy and when we were here it was absolutely packed. Prices here were not horible and you are definitely getting what pay for. Overall if you decide to eat here you will not regret it!

I came for the famous Hoosier Tenderloin Sandwich 🥪and it did not disappoint. The fried pork tenderloin was as big as my face 🤣and it was big enough for me to eat two meals in one sitting. It was perfectly seasoned 🧂and fried. Make sure to get the french fries! They were crispy on the outside and tender on the outside. 2nd time here, was good. Brushetta was good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Pork tenderloin sandwich was good as before, best thung weve tried there so far, better with fries than chips. House chips just okay. Schnitzel would have been better if was like the pork for the sandwich. Cottage pie was dry, not enough madhed potatoes. House chips were just okay. Parking limited and tight. Nice atmosphere. Would go again.

This is a super neat little restaurant!! I love historical places, and this one has been around since the 1930s. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. I loved the vegetarian mushroom ravioli! My partner very much enjoyed the Cuban sandwich.

Great food and the atmosphere was amazing. We had Cajun chicken and shrimp fettuccine. My Wife doesn't like spicy food at all, but she was able to eat the Cajun fettuccine with no problems. They were able to make mine even spicier. Only complaint is that I had to add a bit more salt to it, to help the taste, but otherwise a solid seafood and chicken pasta.

This is our 1 night in town and we chose Arisocrat Pub. We almost didn't go because parking was so tight for our 2500 chevy pick up. But, a spot on the street opened up and we made it. We sat in the patio, which was very nice. Our server Alley greeted us with a smile. We started off with a lemon drop and straight up martinis. We hade French Onion Soup and a pub salad. Both were very good. My wife had the wild mushroom Raviolis (so good). I had the cottage pie, marinated hamburger meat and veggies, topped with mashed potatoes, and cheese. It was so good and filling. Our server Alley was so sweet, she took a pic of us, then joined my wife for a picture to add to our trip memories. We're a long way from California, so glad we stopped here.

Updated Review (Visited 8/3/25): My wife and I returned early evening on August 3rd. I hesitated to post this because we genuinely like this place—but for contrast, I’m including my previous review below. This visit, my wife stuck with a proven winner: the breaded pork tenderloin. As always, it looked great, tasted even better, and was big enough to take some home. No complaints there. I went with the Reuben sandwich. Not bad, but it felt a bit light on the ingredients. Still, the main reason for this update is the appetizers. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with nachos—solid choice. But I also wanted onion rings. I asked to sub them for the chips that came with my sandwich, but that wasn’t an option. You can only get onion rings as a separate appetizer. Fine, a little annoying, but whatever. The real issue? The onion rings were awful. Clearly frozen, straight out of a bag, and tasted like it. I love onion rings, but these were a mess, flavorless letdown. It’s not that hard to slice an onion, batter it, and fry it fresh. Not only does it cost less for the restaurant in the long run, but when done right, the result is far better—crispy, flavorful, and worth eating. These were not. I had to send them back which is something I have rarely done. Everything else we’ve had here has been great, which is why we keep coming back. But please, ditch the frozen onion rings. Tastefully decorated with lots to look at, very folksy. Plenty of seating choices inside and out. Cozy booths and tables await you inside and an elegant bar. Outside plenty of seating with overhead fans when necessary. We sat outside this time around the weather was good and we enjoyed ourselves street side dining. The food here is very good and pleasantly priced. There was a very steady stream of people coming and going. Very busy here, parking could be your challenge, they have a small parking lot some street parking is available you’ll have to be quick. Today we got the - Super Nachos for $14 - STACKED CORN TORTILLAS, CHEESE SAUCE, PICO DE GALLO, CILANTRO AND MEXICAN QUESO FRESCO CHEESE. CHOOSE: AVOCADO, BLACK BEAN, OR CHICKEN this could easily be a four person appetizer. (It’s huge) And both of us choose the - The Hoosier Tenderloin $16 A CENTER CUT FRESH PORK LOIN, SEASONED BREADING, AND FRIED OR GRILLED we both got the breaded tenderloin I got fries and she got broccoli for sides. The Tenderloin’s huge pounded thin breaded and crispy fried. Absolutely delicious the French fries were snappy and perfect. The broccoli was smothered in butter and very tender and tasty. This is a great place to stop by for a bite. They have a large interesting menu, that deserves an eat through. 😊 We look forward to a return trip. We had a great time, good service and wonderful food.

Had an incredible experience here! The food was seriously amazing — full of bold Latin flavors and perfectly spiced. I had the Terra y Mar and it was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. The flavors were rich and balanced, and every bite was packed with personality. The drinks were just as impressive — creative, well-balanced, and super refreshing. You can tell a lot of thought went into the cocktail menu. Service was excellent from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and helpful with suggestions. Overall, a great vibe and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend!

We love Delicia! The queso fundido starter is always a highlight and something we have to order every time we go. There’s just nothing quite like it anywhere else! Love that there are gluten free options and that they’re marked. Love the vibes, drinks, and wait staff here too.

Delicia offers a fantastic Latin cuisine experience with a wide variety of delicious options on the menu. Every dish is flavorful and carefully prepared, making it a pleasure to explore different choices. The wine selection is also excellent and complements the food beautifully. The atmosphere inside is warm and vibrant- perfect for enjoying a great evening out. Service is consistently attentive. Overall, it's always a great experience and one of my go-to places for a memorable meal.

We had a great dinner at Delicia. Cocktails were respectable, all the food was good, and service was great. We enjoyed the Peruvian ahi tuna poke appetizer, and for entrees the elote scallops were fantastic. The birria short rib was also enjoyable. We did not have room for dessert but will try it next time.

Excellent food and service. The lunch menu is reasonably priced with good options. Lunch included a nice bowl of soup and a spring roll. The lunch portion was perfect. Our meals were served quickly. Everything was delicious. The vegetables and meat cooked perfectly. Caution in the tight parking lot, especially if you drive a larger SUV or truck.

Great food. Quick service. Went for lunch. It was a good experience. I really lived that you can customize any meal to your desired spiciness level. The portion sizes were huge. Had 2+ meals for a great price. Would definitely recommend.

A friend told me about Thai Spice—and I’m glad they did! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are just right. I don’t make it to the south side of Indianapolis often, but this place makes me want to change that. I’ll definitely be back.

We were in town for the day and looking to grab dinner before a long drive home. I am both so glad we stopped at Thai Spice and so disappointed. The food was amazing. Best Pad Thai we’ve ever had. Disappointing because we live two hours away and can’t come back easily. We will for sure visit again though, if we’re ever back out this way. My 9 year old loved the Pad Thai. My husband got the Panang Curry with extra vegetables, and it was actually extra veggies. I had the Pad See Ew and it actually had a great amount of veggies too. We’re used to our local places just loading up on noodles and less “extras.” Our server said they’ve had the same recipes for more than 20 years. So delicious.

I’ve never had better Thai food (and over the years I’ve had a lot of different offerings on their menu including curries, thin and thick noodles, fish, soups, apps, etc.) nor have I ever had more generous servings than right here at Thai Spice. And I mean generous. I usually get 3-4 meals out of one of my Thai Spice dishes when I take it to go, so the prices are worth it even though they’ve of course increased. Also I feel for the most part they take me seriously when I ask for a spicy level. Thai Spice usually makes me sweat around medium-hot. At other places I’d have to ask for Thai hot for the same experience. The food is 5 stars, and I would say otherwise the experience is average. Service is as expected. I haven’t dined in, in a while. For a while there were boxes and storage all over one half of the restaurant that really took away from the fun lighting and the bathrooms they had to otherwise set the ambiance, but I THINK this was addressed last time I was there.

I’ve been coming to Thai Spice since before my son was born (he’s almost 19). In fact, the owner was pregnant with her daughter at the same time I was pregnant. There is NO Thai restaurant that compares to Thai Spice. In fact, I’ve tried numerous but they all are sub par. Even though I’ve moved near Zionsville, if I find myself near Greenwood, we have to get Thai Spice.

This was a delightful way to start the day. Food was awesome. Forgot to take pictures before starting, but figured some pictures are better than no pictures. We got the biscuit and gravy platter and blueberry stuffed pancakes. Our server Shannon was so pleasant and really set a lovely tone for the rest of our day. Also, they have these cute ducks with little hats in a claw machine by the front door.

This was first time visit and it was all so good. I got the pancakes and sausage and it was enough for two meals. Great service.

Breakfast was good. Mini waffle is mini. Very mini. Omelette was great. Hash browns were good. Nice quick breakfast spot.

This is exactly what we were looking for in a pancake house. Huge plates, lots of familiar options, and a large dining room. The service was impressive, down to the hostess. The food came out quickly, and it was delicious. Nothing revolutionary. Just good food. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and couldn't even finish it all. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a family-diner, type of option.

We were in Indy for a weekend getaway and stopped here for breakfast before we headed home. Awesome food!! My pancakes were delicious!! My stepson had the cinnamon roll pancakes and they were amazing also. My wife loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and her eggs Benedict. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended !!

I went with a friend to Lincoln square late morning. Our server was friendly and helpful and answered whatever question that we had. We received our food quickly hot off the grill. And as I remember still delicious! My friend had never tried their freshly squeezed orange juice so we shared one glass since I'm not supposed to be drinking that. She loved it so I know next time we go she'll be getting it. Once again I have to give Lincoln square downtown five stars because of the price, quality, service, and overall greatness.

I went in there with a party of 12 and was seated quickly. Our waitress was great and the food was amazing. It all came out quick and hot. I would recommend everyone to come here to eat.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary and the service was phenomenal. They've mastered the balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy time together. Both Emma and Josie were amazing and we are looking forward to coming back. PS, the cannoli was delicious.

The food was delicious; the salad was lovely, great contrast between the blue cheese and the rest of the greens. The main dish was slow cooked veal shank with risotto. It was big portion and hearty for sure but it felt homemade. Would go again for more dishes

My wife loves Italian food so we've tried most of the different Italian places in town. Mama Corolla's is my wife's favorite & is the standard that we use to measure all others. Sangiovese is the first place that she's put anywhere close to on Mama Corolla's level.. & to be honest, I think they may have even surpassed them.. when I ask her now where she wants to go, whether it's for a romantic date night, or just to get a carryout to take home.. Sangiovese has become her go to..😋

My husband and I came here for our 4 year wedding anniversary, and they made it SO special! The food was great, and the service was beyond spectacular! We will definitely be dining here again!

!! CASH ONLY !! This. Is a dive bar. Know that going in. Kinda grungy on the outside, smells of fryer grease. A Red Robin it’s not. Which is why I love it. This place has probably the best smash burger I’ve had in a long time. Edges so crisp it practically crunches when you chew it. Fresh fries. Friendly but busy staff. And lots of regulars coming and going. The soda comes in cans, but the beer comes in chalices. No joke. So come here for a burger, if you can. They know what they’ve got here, and are only open very limited hours to serve it. It’s worth making the time for.

Workingman's Friend is about as honest as you can get in the lunchtime blue-collar diner space. They don't pretend to be some overpriced, flashy restaurant. The restaurant was busy for the Friday lunch rush. Waitresses were doing a great job of taking orders, cleaning tables and welcoming new patrons. I ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and my wife ordered the Diet Plate. The smashburgers were cooked to perfection! Great seasoning without overpowering the beef flavor, crispy edges without being overdone. Burger toppings were very fresh. My fries were good, but not outstanding. The veggies on my wife's diet plate were very fresh and delicious. I felt like the prices were very good for the quality of service and quality of food!

Waited a very long time come here not only for the burger, but also for the history. If you’ve never been, I recommend doing that. As for the burger, I had the Giant Double. The patties were perfect with excellent crust, lacy crisp edges, and still juicy. I’ve read negative things about the service, but out of the 5 times I have I’ve gotten very friendly and prompt service. If you’ve never imbibe, don’t pass on the missive, frosty drafts on tap. I 100% recommend this place for the food and the history.

2 of the giant double cheeseburgers, order of onion rings, chili with onion & shredded cheddar cheese, and can of coke runs about $34. With tip makes $40... and worth every penny (CASH ONLY). Everyone having good time visiting. Have had the tenderloin as well and it is one of the best I've had a well. Walls echo so much it is too hard to hear person right next to you... no problem. Hard to chit chat with a big dbl cheese smash burger in your pie hole 😂 That chili is perfect just like mom used to make. Clean out the couch cushions and your car change drawer or whatever it takes to come get ya some!

Saw this place on Tik Tok and had to try it out. We came at a really busy time. We had to wait for seating, which I expected. We ended up sharing a table with another couple, which was fine. We ordered our food and an alcoholic drink and waters. We got our alcoholic drinks right away, food in about 40 minutes, but we never got waters, and the server never returned to us until she brought the bill. I would have liked water to wash down my meal and probably would have ordered another cocktail as well. During busy times, I would suggest they have more help with tables. The smash burger was the best I've ever had. I would go back, but I would hope it would be a bit better service next time.

Classic, old-school feel and taste. This spot came up on several lists of places one must visit in the city. They are known for their smashburgers - always fresh, never frozen. It's not at all far from Downtown, maybe 10-15 minutes away. The ambience was a large, very open, very clean, no fuss diner. Simple menu, straightforward reasonable (leaning towards cheap) prices. It seems most patrons order the double cheeseburger. I opted for a single once I saw the double land on someone else's table as I went to order. The single and fries filled me up good. The burger was hot, fresh off the griddle. The crunchy crust I expected from a smashburger was not there but that was fine with me. The burger came on a standard bun and was topped with a slice of american cheese, lettuce and tomato (I didn't want raw onion), mayo, and dill pickles provided on the side. Fries were hot and crunchy. It was a satisfying, homemade tasting burger. Only recommendation would be seasoning the meat. I did not detect even a hint of salt. Some salt, pepper and a lil onion powder would take this burger to the next level and make it a burger that can'tve forgotten. And I would ask for grilled onions if I found myself here again. The service was so friendly. I read many have to wait for a table but I walked in and sat right away at 1pm on a Tuesday. All told, I was in and out (no pun intended) the door in under 30mins. For the experience of nostalgia and the price, I definitely recommend a visit.

This place takes you back in time. The food and the service is memorable. It's a laid-back cool restaurant. But , you must be 21 and older to go in.

What a cool spot! We stopped by on Monday night for the open sign up night. It was cool to see the jam band environment. Drinks were groovy and the brownie ice cream was amazing 😻. Make sure to book ahead as they have full performances most nights of the week!

Absolutely wonderful experience! Spent NYE here and it’s so perfect if you don’t want to go DT Indy and want a more intimate experience. Loved the special menu tonight, my favorite was the shrimp cocktail and chicken étouffée. Grace Kelly is an amazing performer and I look forward to spending the next NYE with Jazz Kitchen. Worth the price and amazing vibes! 100+ per person for NYE prices FYI :)

I saw a fantastic jazz band performance here. They were top notch musicians and the music was beautiful. I ordered a vegetarian dish that was quite good and my wife was happy with her food. She wanted a cocktail and tried to order a "perfect gentleman", but the waitress said there were no "perfect gentleman" available any more... She got something else and was happy with that. Morale of the story, you can't always get a "perfect gentleman", but you can find something that this is perfectly good. We sat in a corner booth not facing the stage of TV. We were in the room next to the room with the stage, We couldn't see the stage. I liked it that way. There was only one tv showing the show to the room next to the stage room. So if a couple sat at some of the tables, one person's back would be to the TV. Tip to the owners, mount 2 more TV's., or not. I liked being tucked in a corner booth with my wife. The music was the foreground sonically, but visually we were the other's cynosure. If there were 2 more TVs, it would remove the exact situation I preferred. It's great how it is. You could buy tickets early and show up for the show early if you want to be up close to the band. We were 10 minutes late, and still very happy with our seating. She loved dessert too, ice cream and bread pudding. I fully recommend checking it out.

Visiting The Jazz Kitchen was such a treat! Kat Edmonson was phenomenal (as was her guitarist!). The food was excellent (highly recommend the crab cakes!), service was great, and ambiance was cool, too! Definitely a great spot to go if you’re looking for something different to do for a night out. There’s a nice covered patio area if you’re just coming for dinner, too! Parking can be a bit tricky in the area, but overall isn’t too hard to find. I didn’t manage to get many pictures, I was so in the moment, but would 100% like to come back at some point!

Completely pleased! I was here for a late show. The entrance procedure was well organized. Both the coffee and brownie decadence desert were a delight for the taste.

I can't believe we have lived in Indy for over 30 years and never been to the JK. This place was wonderful. We went to see Doug Henthorn and he was fabulous. The food was great and the wait staff were terrific. We will be back soon.

An absolute wondrous time dining at Petite Chou! They really set the bar with amazing foundational cooking and delightful menu options. The soft scramble egg with bordelaise was incredible and the side of crispy bacon literally melted on my tongue. I had a really beautiful latte which came with a palmier cookie. 10/10 all around experience. Can’t wait for some champagne next time!

We have eaten here 4 times now. Simply put, we love it. The dishes are very well prepared, and well seasoned. I’ve had the Fork and Knife burger (trust, a fork and/or knife is not needed), and I feel it’s one of Indy’s best burgers. I’m surprised that I have seen it on any of Indy’s best burger list…criminal. The burger is hand chopped, and tastes amazing. Twice we’ve been lucky enough to have Allen as our server, which has made our experience there so much better.

Best french onion soup I've ever had! The cheese board has awesome pairings too. Definitely will come back again!

Back at Petit Chu today with the wife and daughter. They both went with their go-to: the “Le Club”—a housemade pain de mie stacked with aioli, avocado, bacon, arugula, and chicken, paired with a petite bibb salad. It’s a refined, French-inspired twist on the classic club sandwich, and for them, it hits the spot every time. I decided to switch it up. Went with the Knife & Fork Burger: Camembert, Bordelaise, arugula, aioli, on a housemade brioche bun, with duck fat pommes frites on the side. No exaggeration—this was hands down the juiciest, most flavorful burger I’ve ever had. The flavors were bold but balanced, and the texture of the brioche held it all together perfectly. And those duck fat fries? Ridiculous. Rich, crispy, and loaded with flavor. Service and atmosphere are always top-notch here. If you’re coming for breakfast, the coffee’s strong, the omelets are spot-on, and the vibe is warm without trying too hard. Only gripe: it’s a little pricey—but not unreasonable. For the quality of ingredients and the care in execution, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. We always enjoy ourselves here. Already looking forward to the next visit.

First visit to Petite Chou. We were seated outside on this beautiful day. We had about a 10min wait, very reasonable for 11:30 on a Sunday. Unfortunately, our server took quite some time to come to our table, so we opted to place our food order at the same time as our drink order. A bit more than an hour passed between when we were seated and when our food arrived. I ordered the French Onion Grilled Cheese, looking forward to the joining of two of my favorites. My meal left quite a bit to be desired. About 3oz of French onion soup for dipping my 3”x3.5” sandwich. The sandwich was overly toasted, cutting the inside of my mouth when chewing. I cut the sandwich into bitesize pieces so I could try to soften the bread in the soup, it was still too hard. The quality and quantity of my meal was not worth $18. Overall, I was very disappointed. Best part of the experience was time with my sister.

Sat outside in front under the covered patio for lunch. Nice vibe and great food. The fries reminded me of sandwich machine fries from back in the day, they were nostalgic and very good, perfectly crisp and satisfying. The tofu bahn mi was very good, I like my tofu soft and I appreciated that they did not fry it or over cook it to death. The only part that I wished was better is the bread. I felt it was too soft and should be more like a french loaf instead of hoagie roll. But I get it, the shelf life of hoagie roll lasts longer. The eskovitch mahi po boy was great, fish cooked perfectly, nice acidity from the onion and peppers. Again, the bread was the only thing I wasn't a huge fan of, same hoagie roll. The cheese curds are the best I have ever had, I mean perfectly fried and the cheese is all stretchy and melty. They dont over batter, its just at the right amount. I would estimate the app is enough for 3 or 4 people. Two of us struggled to finish it from the generous portion. We will be back, definitely a hidden gem if you want bar food but still want some good healthier options available on the menu.

Classic “sobro” (South Broad Ripple) spot with chill vibes, extensive beer selection, and delicious bites. The space is versatile for any number of occasions: meeting up with friends, chilling at the bar, enjoying the patio, or even some remote work during the week (which I did on my most recent visit). I ordered a pint (house pils) and some tempura cauliflower to help pass the time. Enjoyed everything all around as always. Cheers!

This has quickly become our favorite place to stop and eat. We've been here multiple times, and the food is consistently delicious!

Love the vegetarian and vegan markers on the menu! I got a delicious quinoa bowl, and my boyfriend got the vegan bag mi - both delicious! Very nice patio seating but that was full at the time and we were in a hurry. We've eaten out there before though and always opt for that.

Service was informative and friendly. The food came out quickly and hot. We got the brisket hash that was super flavorful and tender. Loved the cornbread! The breakfast sandwich with the bacon was amazing, now I'm searching for Old Major bacon all over the place! The kitchen staff doesn't have the obligation to talk to guests but they were so nice and helpful.

This was such a cute place to eat out on the patio in nice weather. The food and drinks were good. I don't think I would do their savory dutch baby again, but I just recently haven't been loving smoked salmon for breakfast. However, I believe you can switch it out to bacon if I recall correctly. I was happy that had oatmilk for their lattes. Everything was delightful! I will definitely be back.

One of my favorite spots in Indianapolis. What to get: THE FRIES. My gosh the fries. Please get the fries. These might just be the best fries in the city. I love the idea of this place and what they stand for. But I really was expecting the food to be so much better than it was. For the price, it wasn’t worth it at all. The food was subpar and cold which is odd since it was made to order. The place itself is so cute and has great outdoor seating with umbrellas for every table. I would try it once but not again.

I'd like to say first that this location is the best one. It's right on the monon trail so parking around the area is definitely a hit or miss. Service is always great, everyone on the staff is really nice and helpful. They have limited seating inside and outside, it gets busy but I've never had a problem getting a table. I go here quite often and the food has been pretty consistent in terms of quality and taste. Overall if you're looking for some clean food that actually tastes good definitely check this place out.

Absolutely delicious cornbread and spring greens hash. I also enjoyed a homemade lemonade and Gin Bramble. Friendly staff and I love their charitable initiative too. Will definitely visit again.

Cale gave great service at the counter! I just got a large coffee. I like the atmosphere and the little pods outside are really cool. The staff all was very nice and it is good prices. There seems like a lot of cool things you can buy and a lot of potential for a great time! I definitely will be back!

Had pho special and it was very good. Broth was good, I heard that since the ownership change the broth is not authentic and slightly off. The vegetables were fresh and not spoiled. The quantity could be improved. Online prices were not updated.

Service was quick and food served hot. The best flavor came from the chili crisp. The pho broth was OK. The way the won ton was wrapped like a purse affected the texture and taste of the won ton. The thickness of the won ton wrap gave a doughy thick pasty taste.

Pros: - nice atmosphere, very polite servant - the order was ready pretty fast (we only had to wait around 10 minutes) - very delicious food (we had pho beef & meatballs, bun bo Hue, Ngo sen salad for 2 people) - 1 meal per person is more than enough to get full Cons: I wanted to order everything on the menu but I couldn’t cause I can’t eat all of them P.S 20% mandatory tip is included in the bill. Total cost for 1 meal for me was $15.54 with the tip and tax.

The dining room was very pretty. There was a little bit of a language barrier but the waitress was very nice. My food was good and I will come back to try other dishes.

It’s sad that the quality of the food has declined to the point where I have to write a review. I’ve eaten here 5 times. The first three times were outstanding. The fourth time, I came with a friend. She got sick after eating the pho with meatballs and spent the following several hours vomiting. I did not get sick. The fifth (and last time), I ordered my usual: spring rolls, pho with tendon, and an iced coffee. I had never gotten sick from this order but I was not so lucky this time. Beginning at 3AM, I had diarrhea which lasted about 6 hours. I had to call off work training that day. I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant and will not be eating here again. If you value your money, avoid this restaurant at all costs.

There was hardly chicken with my chicken pho. I called 3 times and no one could speak to me about it. The amount of chicken wouldn’t even feed a toddler! Plus I did tip!! This was my 3rd visit and it’s normally ok but this time was a no go.

The food overall was very solid. Not the best pho I’ve ever had, but still very good. The banh mi was well balanced with fresh veggies and marinated pork. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu! The food was amazing! Even after 10 years, the chef keeps things fresh with new ideas! Loved the homemade sauces and the Vietnamese coffee-flavor ice cream on the waffle. Definitely coming back!

Nothing about this restaurant is the Vietnamese theme so as far as atmosphere for a date…it looks kind of upstartish. I ordered the lunch special pork banh mi and chicken pho paid extra for the vegetables plate on the egg rolls too. I had explained did not like spice and the waitress was very understanding when I sent the egg roll sauce back due to it having pepper flakes in it. She was not understanding about being asked a to-go box on her next trip out to check in guests. She seemed out. The pho was horrible to me. Very bland. Need lots of lime. I was desperate for some flavor- salt or msg something please? The vegetables on both the egg rolls and pho plates were wilted. The daikon tasted weird- not fermented long enough? The pork banh mi had fat in it I didn’t want. I guess I will continue to hold out for Pho #1. This ain’t it

My oldest daughter is an adventurous eater and she introduced me to Vietnamese food a year or so ago while we were traveling for softball. Now traveling for softball with my youngest less-adventurous daughter, she and I got an order of pho tai, pork belly baos, and a lemongrass spring roll all to split. It was phenomenal. The order was carry out, but the place had a super cozy feel. Service was quick and seamless.

Nice little hole in the wall kind of place. The service was amazing, they have the nicest staff. Didn't know what to expect from Vietnamese food but it was good, it was unique from other Asian cuisine. The egg rolls were particularly awesome.

I had 129, a Vietnamese Shrimp dish and it was delicious. I was with a group of 11 and we all delicious meals. Definitely a place to come back to.

We had an amazing experices at King Wok. It seemed like the owners were working during our visit and were both incredibly friendly. We had a group of 12 softball players who ALL loved their food and pho choices. We added chili oil and a hardboiled egg to our dishes. 100% would visit again and recommend to others.

Went on a weekend with 2 others, all with light appetites. Very busy, but somehow managed to quickly obtain a table without reservations. Initial confusion, since lunch plates are only served weekdays. We only ordered one entrée to share (Sweet and Sour Chicken); plus one extra side of fried rice; plus three small bowls of soup (Egg Drop, Hot and Sour, and Wonton.) Our waiter was very friendly, and he brought out three small empty plates to share for the entrée, without us asking. Food was enjoyed by all, and there was plenty of it for our three light appetites. Soup went from steaming hot to comfortably hot quickly, maybe from the surface area ratio of the small size. I believe this is more of an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, but that also serves Americanized Chinese dishes (such as we ordered.) A couple of muted TV screens for the bored. Sriracha bottles at tables. Beer is on the menu, seemingly alone for alcoholic beverages. We received spoons, forks and chopsticks; no knives, but maybe those are also available if requested? Very pleased with food, service, and pricing. The best deals are probably those weekday lunches, tho.

I was craving fried rice and lo mein, so I decided to stop by for the lunch special. I was highly disappointed when I opened my tray. My rice was so dry and hard, and there was a piece of hair in it. The egg roll was burned as well. I just got off work, and if I wasn’t tired, I would’ve just driven back up there. I called to let them know about the food. I was told they make the same batch the same way every day. She apologized and said idk it’s the same batch repeatedly. That was it; I had the fried rice before, but it wasn’t the lunch; it was the entree. It was fire. I guess if you order lunch, you get a different batch . Sadly, I won't be back . If it was my establishment I would’ve automatically remade it fresh. I attached my photos down below . The entree of fried rice I had back in September and the food I had today 😞. Maybe it was a bad day, but regardless, if you have great customer service, you can always come back.

After a long drive back from vacation, we were craving something homey, comforting, and not greasy—and we stumbled upon this charming Vietnamese restaurant that did not disappoint! We ordered two large bowls of pho, which were incredibly generous portions for the price. The food was authentic and delicious, and the family running the place was warm and attentive. While the dining area didn’t have A/C—which can be a bit tough on a hot summer day—it didn’t take away from the great experience. We’ll definitely be tagging this spot for future road trips through Indy!

Honesty, I love this place. They have great food. I love their spring rolls the best. The last time I came here, the noodle soup was a sweet for some reason. There weren’t as much noodles as there was before. I had to give this a four star because the service wasn’t as good as it used to be. I never got asked if my food was okay or if I needed anything unlike the other customers there. Overall, they have amazing food.

Best tofu bahn mi of my life. I used to live in an area with a large Vietnamese population and this bahn mi was by far the superior specimen plenty of tofu awesome balance of flavors delicious bread, served warm. it even has a vegan brown eel sauce that is so tasty. The lemongrass tofu bûn is also a+. way too good for a strip mall, we are so lucky

The chef / owner is very accommodating, adjusted some dishes to my liking. The pho taste fresh and place is very clean.

Tastes and looks like they hate to go orders, very unfortunate. I could have been a frequent customer. The tofu was overly fried, barely any fresh toppings, the bread was the only good part, but I know they didnt make the bread so kudos to your bread supplier. The rice completely flavorless and the frozen veg was gross. Shrimp was not cleaned, over cooked, and tasted bad quality. One of the worst fried rice I have had, had to throw away. I have sat down and eaten the kimchi pho here before and it was ok, nothing to come back to, the kimchi they use is not good quality.

The best Banh mi sandwich Iv ever had. Every time I’m in town I make sure to come here. The rest of their food is also great. A must visit spot. Very reasonably priced. Love it.

We eat here at least once a week, we always enjoy everything. The banh mi is amazing and the bread is perfect. We also love the Pho and i would say it is definitely the best tasting broth in the area.

Editing to add it’s been like two years since this original post and I’ve yet to find better pho in Indy. We still eat here all of the time. This is definitely the best pho I’ve had. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always perfect. The staff is great, egg rolls are super delicious, one bowl of pho is insanely filling. My favorite is the classic steak pho, #32 and a honeydew bubble tea. The kimchi pho is great as well. There’s also vegetarian options here :) I cannot recommend pho tasty enough. I have introduced a lot of people to it and now they all love it too! It’s clean and the service is great. It’s also the best cure all when you’re not feeling well or have had a little too much to drink the night before.

I stopped in this morning for bagels for my wife, daughter and myself. The guy taking my order asked how my weekend was. I couldn’t help myself and said it was terrible. Shared that we were down at Riley Children’s hospital for our daughter. He was empathetic and said we’d be in his prayers. Imagine my surprise when I found a Scotcheroo and Tootie Pop in the bottom of the bag for my daughter! Such a kind, human gesture. Ripple Bagel has always been a favorite spot when we come into town. Not only is the food delicious, but the people are even more amazing!

This place is incredible. We visit every time we are in Indiana. If you can't find something on their menu that you want, then something is wrong. They have a squillion different choices. Or build your own. Ingredients are all fresh and delicious. Employees are very helpful and friendly. Love the music they play, love the Grateful Dead tie ins. Can't say enough good about this place. Can't wait to visit again.

The bagel itself is worth the trip to Indy, but I walked in a bit early to pick mine up and I was wanting to buy a drink. The employee did not charge me and I was extremely grateful. My experience was wonderful. :)

After traveling the country the last 7 years, truly found home tucked away right outside Indianapolis. Listen, I would drive 4+ hours just to experience this all over again. The entire staff, were humans from an astral plane. Ripple Bagel and Deli will be recommended for years to come as my favorite place in a 200 mile radius. Best bagel, better staff, and incredible atmosphere.

Hands down the most amazing gluten for bagel I’ve ever had in my life. The texture and chewiness of bagels have been something I’ve been missing ever since I went gluten free over 10 years ago, but these were spot on. Will most definitely be back! Appreciated that the bathrooms were very clean too!

It’s sacrilege to leave NYC and buy bagels elsewhere, but I love love the bagels here and the way they steam them (makes it hot but keeps it soft and moist!). It’s been ~20 years since I’ve been here, and it was everything I remembered… SEC on everything is the only way to judge a bagel, and this hit the spot. My wife thought I was crazy when I told her about this bagel in Indy, but she really liked it also!! I will say that the everything bagel could use more everything.

Biscuits n Gravy are great! Others had bagel sandwiches and said they were good.

Decent first experience at Pho Real. We ordered the crab Rangoon, Larb Seen, and Pho with rare beef. Definitely enjoyed the pho the most out of all the dishes. Service was friendly and quick.

I have had Pho all over the country, and this place was by far some of the most flavorful and well priced. We ordered the veggie egg rolls and vegetarian pho with added fried tofu. The egg rolls were crisped to perfection and the sweet and sour sauce was plentiful and some of the best I've ever had. Service was helpful and very quick. We will definitely return. 10/10, Recommend!! 🙏🏽

I was really looking forward to eating the food here. I love Pho but this was not it. The broth is strangely sweet and has a weird taste. The broth what is makes Pho stand out compared to other soups out there. My other problem is not a lot of toppings. Pho is also known for having big portions, enough to have left-overs for home. 5 pieces of shrimp, no veggies (besides the optional side veggies) and half a cup of rice noodles is not enough. I recommend Pho Saigon. Same prices, better portions and delicious broth.

Pho Real is the real deal! The food is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and fresh, vibrant ingredients. Even better, the service is impressively quick without ever sacrificing quality.

Doordash order. Food was good, except the shrimp had a strong fish smell and some of it was mushy. I have never had that happen before here. Please don't send out spoiled shrimp to people, my son ate some of it and I'm praying he doesn't get sick.

Why give it a heart? I've eaten a lot of Vietnamese noodles, but I don't know why the soup here tastes so weird. I'm guessing they don't use beef bones. It has a strong beef seasoning flavor. This isn't Vietnamese noodles. I'm quite disappointed.

Hands down the BEST Mongolian beef we have ever had in our lives. No exaggeration — it was tender, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and just melted in your mouth. The ginger salad was fresh and vibrant, a perfect balance to the richness of the main dish. The atmosphere at Modita is classy but relaxed, and the ambiance is on point — warm lighting, great music, and a beautifully designed space that sets the tone for a memorable night out. Service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. We had an amazing time and seriously can’t wait to go back. Modita just raised the bar.

Really beautiful restaurant! Really amazing staff. The staff were very good on checking on us and filling up our water. We got a good amount of food. To me the food was okay. My other group found it good. Maybe its just not my style. But i definitely recommend people to go and try! There are some steps to some tables! There were some booths. The bathrooms were nice and clean. There was 4 individual bathrooms which is very nice! Music isnt loud at all which is great. Great for conversation!,

Absolutely outstanding establishment. Our server, Austin (Dawson!), generously took time to explain each section of the menu, pointing out favorites and details along the way. The Wagyu Nigiri was incredible, and was truly a one of a kind flavor. The Tuna Roll was also outstanding. Service was consistently quick. Overall, a wonderful place I will certainly return to.

I just can’t justify 5 fried dumplings for $18 😭this is street food 😭 the dumplings took 30 mins to arrive, sushi took another 40. Was sitting by the bar on a Monday with the restaurant nowhere near full capacity. Spicy tuna roll was pretty good. I’m just horrified at the dumplings 😭 I will say that the bartender and service was incredible!

We have been to Modita two times. The service and atmosphere of Modita have been wonderful both times, but the food has been average especially considering the price point. On our latest visit, we got the salmon uramaki roll but the salmon was inexplicably seared rather than raw. We did enjoy cocktails and mocktails, which seem to be Modita's strong suit. Overall, I would recommend Modita if you're looking for a nicer place to get some drinks.

I went with a group of friends so we could properly have dim sum and it did not disappoint. They are able ti make a lot of dietary modifications! Did not take away from the meal. Also - Don’t forget it’s part of Cunningham restaurant group so if you have a free VIP account, you get points for spending! Pork Bao Buns were my favorite!

Jo was the BEST! This was our first time here and the service and vibes were phenomenal. Jo has ruined all service professionals for us! This place is a 10/10. The soup dumplings are the best I’ve ever had. The drinks? Amazing.

Tried What The Pho today! The food tastes really fresh and healthy. The flavors aren’t too heavy, not overly savory or spicy, which I actually liked. I think I couldn’t enjoy it to the fullest since I was already bloated from having dairy earlier, but overall it was a good experience.

The rare beef pho was amazing. The staff is super nice and more than accommodating. Best Vietnamese food I have had in Indy, hands down.

This place is super clean! The desks are like mirrors. And the food and service are great. I like the summer rolls, very much like the good ones I had before. Bahn mi sandwich bread is softer than others, but still great in flavor. And the broth of the pho is sweeter than what I had before, if you like something sweet, this might be the right one for you. The service is friendly and responsive.

By far the best Chicken Pho I've had thus far. The broth was exquisite. Lots of meat and fresh veggies. Spring Rolls were equally delicious. For my water snobs....I got a cup to go. Customer Service was fantastic. Definitely a new fav.

I was greeted when I walked in. The restaurant was cute inside with vegan decor. I went in for lunch but realized they had a selected brunch menu on the weekends. The lemonade was good. I was starving and ordered more food than I could eat. I had a spicy chicken biscuit (which wasn't spicy at all), side order of biscuits and gravy (VERY flavorful), and an order of potatoes. The potatoes weren't my favorite but was edible. I'd definitely try this place again. My total for everything was around $20 or so and the food was hot for the most part.

Lunch with family. Ordered chili/cheese fries, gyro, burger, chorizo chimichanga and crunch wrap. Everything was delicious and tasty. Serving sizes were generous, enough to finish all, or save a little for later. Prices were standard rate for eating an entree at a restaurant, not too expensive. The interior dining area was cozy and no frills. Nice little spot to hang and enjoy your meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, whether or not they are looking for vegan dining.

My sons, nephews, and I all enjoyed our food. We are vegan, but my nephews aren't, and they loved their food as well! And I'm sad I didn't get a picture of our brussel sprouts. They were so delicious and the boys were eating them as soon as they got to the table. Something for everybody. And the restaurant is so cute with a homey industrial decor.

Old school dinner serving an all vegan menu. We went during Saturday and had Brunch. I had a Monte Cristo with a side of devine baked apples. My wife had biscuits and gravy with a spicy chicken biscuit sandwich.The sandwich wasn't spicy, but it was fantastic! My daughter had the Cherry Cream Cheese pancakes. They were amazing! I ended up taking home a piece of carrot cake home along with a S'mores cookie. All and all the place is a must stop for great vegan food in Indianapolis! I look forward to trying their menu again when I return to visit my wife's family.

We found this place on Happy Cow on our recent road trip. The food was amazing!! All the best comfort foods that you normally can't get when you're vegan. We got fried pickles, BBQ seitan wings, a Reuben, and a crunchwrap. Everything was delicious and fresh, and it was such a cute building.

I loved everything about this place! The service was top notch. The food, delicious! And everything is 100% vegan. I was in town for a concert and was checking out all things vegan. Super happy i found this spot! Everything i ordered was great. Got the Seiten gyro, fries, Seiten wings and a soda. Go give them ur money!

Food was super tasty. I went on a day I was not having meat and got a vegetable dish that was sooo good. They have a lot of vegetarian items. My friend's got chicken items and loved it. Service was good. Very nice and informative. Said one of the top dishes is General Tso's which my husband loves so will be back when I am in Indy again.

Family owned! Had the spicy noodle soup and was blown away. Balanced broth, not too much noodle, good amount of meats. Highly recommend you to just try it out.

I have been coming here since I was a kid in the 90s and it’s still the same! It’s my ultimate comfort food. Soft noodles cantones, sweet and sour chicken, hot and sour soup, best egg rolls and Rangoons in town! Mom and dad still do the cooking. Indy gem for sure ! Their quality is a cut above

Second attempt at finding the perfect Indianapolis Vietnamese crepe / pancake. The crepe wasn't the texture i expected, a bit more greasy and doughy. While those descriptors may be off putting the product was nice. The spices and flavors of ingredients were good, it was a very full crepe and while the shrimp were a little shrimpy they were generous, the pork had great flavor and it was packed with fresh sprouts, and it did have a crisp exterior though not the crispy crunch i expected. Quality fish sauce, i tried the beef rolls as well and they were average but fine. The service was prompt and hospitable. I fully anticipate this crepe making it to the Indy finals. Small dining area as expected from a strip mall location however cleaner and cuter than predicted. Super reasonable prices also a major win.

Traveled here for work with some colleagues. The places don’t look like much from the outside or inside. However the vintage charm goes well with the American fare. We were all pleasantly surprised with the freshness and taste of the food. Not a single item we ordered was bad. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. They also were able to accommodate a group of 10 of us last minute. Definitely recommend this hole in the wall near downtown Indianapolis.

If you are downtown and looking for a fabulous restaurant. I highly recommend The Point on Penn! We stumbled upon it last night before a show at Scottish Rite. Chef Brown knocks it out of the park! The crunchy sourdough bread with roasted garlic bits, the sea bass topped with shrimp and a risotto croquet , the crispy shrimp with brussel sprout risotto..amazing! Our server Violet was so sweet and helpful! This neat little restaurant holds a little secret in the basement, but you have to find the password in the bar to get in! Rumor has it Al Capone used to drink in this very same space! We met the Chef and his wife and they are just so sweet and down to earth… I'm not sure there is a better place in Indy!

This is the absolute best food my wife and I have ever had. We couldn’t find anything whatsoever that was displeasing about The Flatiron. The atmosphere was amazing if you want to just chill and enjoy a couple of drinks and seriously the best food we have ever had. Well worth every penny. I work my tail off being away from my family and can’t stand giving my hard earned money to people that don’t work just as hard or being disappointed at food you could have made at home. This is going to be my wife and I new must go spots for special occasions. Thank you Flatiron for everything.

A little off the beaten path from the convention center but worth it. It was not crowded and conversation was easy. The head chefs attention to detail is impressive. The food was delicious in the service very good. Highly recommend if you're in indianapolis. The bone-in ribeye steak was delicious and the others enjoyed their salmon and pork and hamburgers. The service was excellent. Also the wine list had very good quality and selection. Lastly, the bathrooms were exceedingly clean.

I can’t say enough good things about The FlatIron. My wife and I have visited often; sometimes we bring friends along. Chef Glen and his team are wonderful. They never disappoint. Food quality is excellent, atmosphere is excellent, drinks are excellent. All the staff are friendly. I’d like to see the City of Indianapolis support this establishment much better. The FlatIron is rated in the top 25 restaurants in Indy. If you haven’t visited yet, I encourage you to do so. You won’t be disappointed.

They serve works of art designed to take your pallet to another level. our server was on it, our food came out perfectly cooked in a timely manner, considering we had a decent sized party. But the magic of this restaurant is the consistency. I have never in my life had to send back a plate out of this kitchen. I am known for being a very critical when it comes to my steaks and am guilty of sending it back until I get what I ordered, especially if I'm paying more for a higher quality experience. This place is my go to when I take my wife "somewhere nice" because this is fine dine the way it should be. If you have specific dietary needs I challenge you to speak to the chef and trust him to make you something off menu to ensure your experience is one you won't forget.

Flat Iron is my favorite restaurant in Indy. Have been eating there since 7-4-20. Locally owned, great fun friendly staff. Food is fresh and from scratch, not frozen. Lobser bisque and pork belly alfredo fries are always delicious starters! Can not go wrong with anything on the menu and the specials are always spot on! This is also the spot for my favorite Espresso Martini in town!! Amazing older building with original back bar that used to be The Elbow Room. Stop in and enjoy a delicious visit!!

Very nice and polite staff that really try to make sure you’re having a good experience. Food came out in good time, was fresh and hot and tasty. They were very generous with the amount of meat in my bún bò huế. If I had to give one but if constructive criticism, it would be to make the broth even richer in flavour to bring out the flavours. After I left, I realized I could not find my phone and had my friend call the restaurant and they told me they had my phone and would hold it while I came back for it. I really appreciated the honesty and integrity of the server/host, not everyone has those qualities these days and it made me appreciate pho 21 even more. All in all, the food was good and fresh and I would definitely recommend Pho 21 to anyone!

We stopped here for lunch. Got Veggie spring rolls, vegan pho and chicken pho and all was good and tasty. Pho was flavorful and the portion size was good as well. The place was clean and the staff was nice. We got a good and quick service on our order.

I also love the soup & fish sauce that comes with the meal cause it elevates everything. Definitely recommend going & the prices were cheaper than what I am used to from out of state.

I ordered takeout, and was absolutely impressed. Banh Mi was tied for the best in Indy. I cannot recommend the pork skin spring rolls enough. The fish sauce chicken wings alone, are enough for me to come back. The staff was incredibly friendly, and welcoming.

Nice place for dinner, the parking lot is not well lit. The orders take about 10 to 15 minutes and the staff cleans up after each customer leaves. Seating is adequate and they have average 21 inch tv screens around the bar area. Spicy is good. I will try the very spicy next time. The Authentic dishes are well-known.

A very busy/ packed spot serving American bar food and drinks. We went there on a casual Friday evening, were showed to our table by the staff nearly after 40 min wait. Ordered a friendly platter, Hoosier sandwich, chicken club. Jalapeño poppers were my favourite among all. BPT was nicely breaded came with buffalo chips.The prices were inexpensive for the quality and quantity being served.

Our first time and within minutes of walking in and watching the locals laughing & having fun around the bar, we felt like we’d found Cheers! Great bar & tavern feel with exceptional service! Friendly 100% spot on!! Food was delicious and portions are generous. The clam chowder special was as authentic as it gets…we enjoyed the onion rings, a patty melt and turkey Reuben ….finished with their hot apple dumpling a la mode. Now that we’ve tried it, Friendly Tavern will be on repeat when we come down to Indy!

When’s the last time you saw standing room only at 11 AM and a sandwich under $10? That’s exactly what I found at the Friendly Tavern in Zionsville—and it did not disappoint. I was lucky to get a seat at the bar and was greeted with excellent service from Debbie—super friendly and attentive. I went with the breaded tenderloin (because that’s how you judge a good Indiana tavern), and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy, flavorful, and huge! I’ve heard great things about their burgers and wings too, so I’ll definitely be back to try more. Great food, great prices, and a welcoming hometown vibe. A true local gem!

I can confirm that the wings live up to the hype! It's kinda strange that the sauce always comes on the side but I think that keeps them super crispy, which is a lot of the reason why they are so good. The portion is extremely generous as well. Can't beat that!

The wings are good they give you a huge portion of the waiter said he’s been there for 20 years and it showed. He was spot on and on his game! I can say probably one of the best damn waiters I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was loud as hell. It reminded me of a high school lunch where it was so loud everyone was trying to talk over one another. This is a neat place and apparently pretty popular because it was packed. I’ll definitely be back

Food is quite good, especially the wings! The burgers are great as well. The lady bartender during the day is more concerned about answering the phone and call out orders than the people sitting at her bar. Is she a phone order taker or a bartender? Anyhow, overall a good spot for pub style food and drinks.

The best part of the dish was the fried corn which was delicious, however, the cornbread dressing was not good, under seasoned. The smothered pork chops were ok due to the gravy being seasoned probably. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were very friendly. We had a party of 4 and this was our first time there.

Lively, bright modern kitchen with great servers. We went on a Sat afternoon before dinner time. Not busy but dead either. The margarita was perfection. The Mac was hit with the kids. Lots of cool celebrity pics.

Kountry Kitchen is absolutely amazing. It is a beautiful environment that celebrates the people who make Indiana a very special place. The restaurant has curb appeal, magnificent murals, walls adorned with beautiful pictures and a cute neon marquee. The food was delicious and delivered with kindness. There was enough food for two people that lasted two days. There are live events hosted at this restaurant. Plus there is additional space being added to this location. This restaurant is a special place for people to enjoy great conversation and great food that reminds you of homemade Sunday dinner cooked with care.

Best Soul food in Indy! Great sit down place with friendly servers. Forgot to take photos of dinner because it was all so good. Best fried catfish I've ever had-- perfect seasoning in the cornmeal. Fried chicken was juicy, yams were sweet but not coated in sugar, cornbread was balance of sweet and savory. Loved the fried corn. Lemon pound cake and sweet potato pice were good. We'll have to come back, we kept eyeballing all the other amazing food at the other tables.

The atmosphere was full of African American history and famous people who visited. The food was absolutely delicious. Our server started out with great customer service, but towards the end, she was nowhere to be found. We waited over 25 minutes just to get our check.

I AM FROM SOUTH CAROLINA CIRCA EARLY 70S, MEANING I KNOW CORNBREAD DRESSING, AND WHAT ALL SOUTHERN DISHES SHOULD TASTE LIKE, AKA GREENS, BEANS, POTATOE SALAD, DEVILED EGGS, BBQ MEATS, CORN MEAL FRIED FISH AND THE LIST GOES ON....THEREFORE, I AM DISAPPOINTED with this non seasoned non meat stove top dressing 🤮 The old Kountry Kitchen had dressing of CORNBREAD with meat aka CORNMEAL DRESSING NOT STOVETOP BREAD I paid $20+ for stovetop no seasoning dressing and lied to about brown gravy on the side, when the gravy was nasty unseasoned chicken or turkey gravy, nothing brown about it. I am so pissed off literally. When I purchase here I go all out yet I am not ever going to return after calling ahead and being lied to

My husband and I came to this restaurant after reading rave reviews online. We are from out of town and the food was delicious! Our server Max was so nice and funny! He gave us great food options to try. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite! I also got the neckbones and mixed greens. My husband got the Soul Rolls and he enjoyed them a lot! I’m so glad that we came here to eat. Definitely try it if you’re in town.

4-Star Review for Tinker Street Tinker Street nails it with exceptional service and solid food in a cozy, intimate setting. The restaurant is definitely on the smaller side—think charming, not cramped (unless you’re claustrophobic, then… maybe charming and cramped). The food? Good. Not “write home to grandma” good, but definitely “text your foodie friend” good. Creative flavors, nice presentation, and portions that won’t leave you hangry. Now, let’s talk about the unsung hero of the night: the Water Guy. I don’t know his name, but this man treats hydration like a calling. I swear I never saw the bottom of my glass. He refilled it like he was defusing a bomb—calm, precise, and absolutely not here for your thirst. Give that man a raise. Or a cape. Only odd thing? The bathrooms are just a few steps from the kitchen. Not a huge deal, but it’s a little weird when your path to the restroom feels like you might accidentally be mistaken for a sous-chef. Overall, a great experience. Come for the food, stay for the water.

TLDR: Finally tried Tinker Street after years of hearing great things. The staff were wonderful, but in my opinion the food felt confusing at times and didn’t quite justify the price. This review focuses mostly on the food and reflects my own taste and experience. Everyone’s palate is different, and since the menu changes often, your visit could feel completely different. After living in Indianapolis for five years since moving from New York City, I was excited to finally see what all the hype was about. I had always hesitated because the prices seemed a bit steep, but we decided to give it a try with a 5:45 pm reservation. We were first seated behind the hostess counter. The area felt a bit tight, which didn’t bother us much, but the direct sunlight streaming through the front door made it difficult to sit comfortably. The staff immediately helped us move to a better table, which we really appreciated. The menu was creative and playful with strong fusion influences, so we ordered a variety of dishes to get a fair sense of the food. The Korean Fried Mushrooms ($22) were crispy and flavorful, but the small rice flour pancake underneath seemed unnecessary. It wasn’t seasoned and there was only one so not enough to wrap the mushrooms and felt out of place. We both thought a light dipping sauce would have brought the dish together better than the kimchi served alongside. The Coconut Curry Soup ($12) was warm and pleasant but not especially memorable. The Whipped Pumpkin Ricotta ($22) from the fall menu was something I wanted to love, but it was heavy on cinnamon and tasted more like pumpkin pie filling than a savory dip... it was confusing. The Circle City Sweets baguette served with it was excellent, though it was the same baguette offered with the Fried Brussels Sprouts ($23). Fried brussels sprouts and baguette felt like an odd pairing. It seemed like the bread was included just to fill out the plate for the price. For our mains, we ordered the Curried Cauliflower Steak ($29) and the Shrimp and Farfalle ($34). The cauliflower dish was disappointing. The rice was undercooked, the potatoes were too firm, and the cauliflower itself wasn’t tender inside. It also had an overwhelming amount of pomegranate molasses that made it intensely acidic. The first bite was all sour with no balance, and the sauce tasted almost identical to the soup we had earlier, which didn’t help. The dish was so off that neither of us could eat it, and we decided to send it back which is a first for us. The staff kindly offered a replacement, but we were too turned off by the flavors and declined. The Shrimp and Farfalle was much better. The shrimp had a beautiful char and were juicy and flavorful. The pasta was a little mushy and some pieces stuck together, but overall this was one of our favorites of the night. For dessert, we tried the Ricotta Doughnuts ($12). They came out warm and the texture was slightly dense but not bad. We've had better ricotta doughnuts. The espresso ice cream they were served with though, was fantastic. What really made the evening positive was the staff. They were kind, professional, and attentive the entire night. When we declined a replacement for the cauliflower dish, they took it off the bill and even removed a few other items, likely because of the earlier seating issue. In our opinion, several dishes missed the mark, especially for the high prices, so expect to spend if you go. We felt that we paid a premium for food that didn’t fully deliver on flavor or execution. There were definitely some highlights, but overall the experience didn’t feel worth the total cost.

Such a great and unique menu and restaurant. Everything our group had was absolutely phenomenal and truly so much depth to the taste of the food. PLEASE do yourself a favor and make sure you get the ricotta doughnuts for dessert! To die for !!!

Fantastic restaurant. All dishes are extremely high quality with a rotating menu. Cocktail offerings are also top notch. Book ahead because they are always busy, for good reason. Perfect for a special occasion or date night.

I was visiting my son and his partner in Indy, and they took me to this beautiful restaurant for a belated birthday meal last week. I had the duck confit, which was fantastic, as were all our food choices. The ambience was beautiful, food was delicious. But I am mainly writing because the service was among the best I've ever had! Thank you Sarah Wicker, you were amazing! Thank you for guiding all of us with our food and (especially) wine choices. Your knowledge, professionalism, sincerity and kindness were incredible. You helped make this such a memorable evening for all of us. Thank you so much!!

Everything about this place screams "upscale local joint". The number of regulars I saw interacting with the staff while here was very wholesome and a little mind-boggling. Shout out to Lily & Sara (sorry if it's the wrong Sara) for taking care of me all night. The staff here works their butts off, and the kitchen is no joke either. You can see in and they are cranking non-stop. Korean Fried Mushrooms are a must-do. I tried the Szechuan Snap peas which were just okay. The main, Carnitas Ragu was really unique and delicious. I concluded with the Ricotta Donuts which are served hot and fresh with a side of espresso ice cream. On a cool summer night, it's hard to do much better than enjoying an evening here with the windows down. I hope I get to return next time I'm in town.

I recently visited Yaso, a Jamaican restaurant in Indianapolis, and had a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting, and the decor added to the vibrant, cultural vibe of the restaurant. I ordered the ribs with rice and peas, cabbage, and a side of mac and cheese. The rice and peas were flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the cabbage was seasoned well with a nice balance of texture and taste. The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and a delightful addition to the meal. The ribs, while tender, lacked a bit of flavor. That said, given the diversity of the neighborhood, I can understand that the seasoning might be adjusted to cater to a wider range of tastes. Overall, the meal was satisfying, and I appreciated the effort put into the presentation and service. I would definitely return to Yaso if I’m in the area to explore more of their menu and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere.

Came to Yaso for the first time on a snowy day. I love the convenience of the drive through. I got the Curry Shrimp with Mac and it’s was soooo good. I came back a few days later with my bf and we got the oxtail and jerk ribs. The food is a 10/10. The service is also great. They are very nice! Highly Recommend.

First off parking is kinda tight. I parked across the street. When you get inside you see why because there are only about 6 tables. They make good use of the little space that they have. They do have a drive through if you don't want to deal with the space constraints. You have to order at the register and then they will bring it to the table. Food is served in Styrofoam takeout containers with plastic silverware. I ordered oxtails, spicy beef patty, and a pineapple lemonade. My sister ordered jerk chicken and water. Total was $55. Food didn't take too long to come. Oxtails were good the only drawback was the 2 massive pieces of bone they had hidden in the pile of oxtails. They had meat on them so I wasn't upset. The beef patty wasn't spicy so I got some scotch bonnet from the counter and made it do what it do. The pineapple lemonade was country time or something similar but was good. My sister says the jerk chicken was spicy but she doesn't enjoy spicy food like I do. All in all I can't complain about anything but the price.

I drive from Louisville to Indy just for Yaso. I’ve never been disappointed in the past three years I’ve been visiting. I recently stepped out of my comfort zone of oxtails and tried curry goat in combination with oxtails (of course) and I was blown away by the way my taste buds started dancing in my mouth lol. Great food!

Omg I will definitely go again. And again. The portions were filling, the service was great. The building smells so good and is so clean. And that juice, man i love the juice, even my young daughter loved the juice. Anyhow, yes ohh yess I will definitely be seen in there from time to time. The picture really dont do the food justice, but hey, at least you get a glimpse. 10 out of 10. Now go check them out. They have some seating for a cute little date night vibe. Yaso Jamaican Grill serves flavorful, authentic Jamaican food. The JD’s Famous Oxtail was tender and rich, while the Ackee & Saltfish was different and unique and delicious too . Added The Mango Guava on the side , would like to thebother drinks next time as well . Overall, a solid spot for Jamaican cuisine. And the oxtail was really really good ! You won’t regret it

I've been wanting to come to The Oakmont for awhile now and finally made it. I ordered the fried devil eggs, salmon tacos and my babe ordered the Chimichirri steak. If you like the taste of truffle you will like the eggs. I enjoyed the flavor especially with hot sauce. My salmon tacos were okay, the grilled lime made the flavors pop a little more. The steak was good, truffle fries a little oily. We enjoyed ourselves. I actually forgot to get pictures of our other dishes. There is a $10 parking fee because of Stouts shoe store.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. The food was pretty good; I went with the steak and eggs and don't regret that choice. Where this place excels is the service, drinks and vibe. All 3 were top notch during my visit; prices for everyone was reasonable. Highly recommend, unless you want a venue that's very quiet. When I was there the place had a DJ and a few larger groups but the noise level was fine

Me and some friends were in Indianapolis to watch the fever we accidentally booked reservations for the wrong date but the Oakmont still worked with us and got us seating quickly....this place was a vibe! We went for lunch the had a DJ and the ambiance is incredible. The service was great everyone was friendly. The food itself was creative and full of flavor! Pricing for everything was reasonable. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or visiting. Amazing brunch spot!

As far as the atmosphere goes, The Oakmont has one of my favorites. Pretty art all around the space and well designed table layout for all types of party sizes. Service was fairly good. Food is where they lost me. Both entrees we ordered were a bit cold which leads me to believe they’ve been sitting for awhile, but for as busy as they were, I can see why the food would’ve been forgotten about. Would love to give them another try on another day/time where they aren’t so busy.

We came for devour Indy but they weren't serving lunch. We were still able to order a nice selection of food and shared a truffle fries which were delectable. The fries were crispy. Tasty had garlic on them and cheese dip. Dishes ordered by our group. Included the French toast smoked chicken omelette and steak omelette. The food was tasty and plentiful. Our server was attentive and nice. Good music was a bit loud so conversation was difficult but could be had. There is parking literally right in front of the restaurant but it was not for the restaurant but another business which was odd. There is street parking however.

the wife and i hit the oakmont recently. we’re in town visiting our son todd again andboy did i wish he told us about this spot sooner. those bartenders really know their stuff. lisa ann’s rehab cocktail nailed on first try. she wasn’t super hungry so the lil chick off the happy hour menu was perfect. my burger came out juicy with cheese melted just right.wife was happy solid food and i joked with lisa ann about the neon sign. will be back soon to visit my new buddy david behind the bar. real cool guy. great atmosphere we had fun,,

We went for date night. We ordered the crab cake for an app, the chicken sandwich, birria quesadilla and the fries. We enjoyed our cocktails and took in the atmosphere. They were welcoming and informative we appreciate the recommendations. This was our first time.

Great dinner and drinks. Our table for a Painkiller and a Gold Rush and everyone was happy. Gyoza and Bao Buns were yummy, and all the ramen was great - Shoyu, Tonkotsu, and the Birria/ramen mash up they’re currently offering. Service was great. Another thing worth mentioning is they actually have a nice area to wait for a table so you can start your conversations with your dinner companions while lounging.

All of the food we’ve tried so far has been excellent, as well as the cocktails. Take a bike ride along the Pennsy Trail and stop here for a refresher! The cocktails take a while to come out so ordering a beer in the meantime is a good idea. The patio is dog friendly and hopefully they decorate it a little more in the summer time! Inside is really cool but a little dark. They don’t open until later evening so plan accordingly! Looking forward to becoming known patrons here and trying more of the dishes.

A friend and fellow foodie recommended this spot to me a few weeks ago and it was well worth the drive (from Columbus, IN). Everything was on point— from the laid-back tiki bar ambiance to the thoughtful and expertly crafted food and drinks! Highly recommend everything we had… and probably everything else on the menu too 🤭

Have been here multiple times. Food is always great, apps, entrees, desserts, you cant go wrong! Drinks are on strong side which I can appreciate. The atmosphere is cool and unique. Great date night, hangout, just a great time on every visit.

Thanks to a recommendation from Tiki Tiki Bang Bang was told to go try out this non Tiki bar. To be fair it's a shoyu and oyster bar serving Tiki based drinks. They excel in both regards. Atmosphere was great love the outside area as well. Parking situation was great. Just a nice experience overall would recommend.

Wow, I love tiki bars but this one had the best drinks and food of any I have ever been to! Incredible presentation, beautifully balanced drinks and amazing food on top of it all. Nice 50’s vibe, not as kitschy as most tiki bars but still awesome. Knowledgeable and friendly bartenders.

Had a high expectations and they were mostly met. The restaurant itself is very nice and had good outdoor seating. They do have vegetarian options, but if you're gluten free skip because they only do flour noodles. I got the shoyu ramen and it was pretty good, but the noodles to me were a little top firm. the drinks however were very good and would be my main reason to comeback .

the food and selection there is amazing but the service definitely needs some work. i wasn’t greeted once or even asked how can we help you. it was my first time in there and i was just standing trying to understand the menu while the workers carried on their own conversations quite loudly. it was like no one had even walked in! the restaurant doesn’t have a spirit to it which is so sad as it is a local based restaurant which offers breads from local bakeries, fresh herbs and such. you would think the community aspect of their business would show up in their service too. i have friends who go their regularly but it’s not like they are regulars because the staff doesn’t interact much and isn’t super friendly. a kind interaction + a great sandwich would make this place 5 stars

From one week to the next, their sandwiches are half as big as they used to be. They did not lower the price, however. Two bites and you finish one half. If you are hungry, you will need to buy two sandwiches.

First timer today, my partner brought me in to try the Batali sandwich he raves about and it was great! What a lovely little place to stop in and grab some unique treats. Next time I’ll try the gelato and a coffee.

I’ve had some incredible food here: a whole beer smoked chicken and their carrot cake gelato are things I still think about years later. Sandwiches are tasty. However I do think it’s overpriced, even for the quality. It doesn’t keep me from coming back, but it keeps it from being a regular spot. Also, the butchers are always friendly and helpful, but I’ve never had a good experience with the cashiers. Almost every interaction I’ve had at the register has felt like I’m bothering the staff with my patronage. This spot could easily become a great neighborhood joint, but the price and unfriendliness are probably the two things keeping it from being all that it could be.

The Deli: Upstairs, the experience is bright, friendly, and delicious. A wide selection of unique sandwiches with high-quality meats and cheeses. The muffaletta is a must-try. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and clearly takes pride in the food. The Bar: Descending a set of stairs transforms the atmosphere. The cellar is a hideaway with a completely different vibe, perfect for unwinding and conversations. The wine/beer selection is varied but focused.

Very disappointing visit today. First problem - there's a cash discount that's not clearly stated on the menu. Only when I went to pay did I see the difference in price. Just feels sneaky because it would take five seconds to write "cash price" on the displayed menu or post a note about a credit card fee at the register. Second problem - I ordered a Batali and it was made with the wrong bread. Apparently Amelia's wasn't open yesterday so they couldn't get the usual bread and that's fine, it happens. Here's my problem - I didn't know this until I got home and started to each the sandwich! Even more shocking was that the bread they used instead was akin to a grocery store hoagie roll...very mushy and not able to stand up to the ingredients on the sandwich. What I can't figure out is why they didn't mention this when I ordered the sandwich?? When I returned it the woman explained that the bread wasn't available, but why did they have the sandwich on the menu without an asterisk or note? Makes me wonder what else they don't mention...If they wouldn't warn me that something so obvious about the sandwich had changed, what less noticeable alterations are they making? Disappointing for a $12 sandwich.

One of our go-to spots for a quick bite! We love the OG goose sandwiches and sometimes switch it up. They have fresh meats and a great variety, highly recommend.

Cozy and delicious! The interior is like a trendy, cozy cave, very inviting to just sit and chill a while. Ordering on the screen makes it easy to figure out the menu and what you want. Everything was delicious. The basic burger with cheese, and the bacon ranch with pickles and that sauce was just so dang tasty. Kind of really pricey, maybe that's par for the city, not sure. But we loved it.

The food here is amazing! All vegan and extremely delicious. This is our first time here. We got a brunch burger and the nachos, with a mango lemonade and the verde smoothie. And the chocolate cake. The nachos were super loaded! Didn’t expect that! Everything was incredible, I highly recommend this place. Not to mention the staff is so friendly and awesome. 10/10!! Didn’t get pictures of the food because we smashed it!

This was me and my manager first visit and the food was amazing. It was fresh and tasty. I had the nachos and she had the no crab sandwich. I will definitely return to try some other items. Now the lady at the counter didn't have good customer service. She sat on a stool at the counter, didn't say hello, and pointed to the kiosk where we needed to order and continued on her phone, a young man came from the back and made our food and brought it to the table. I will return for the good food and hopefully better service.

Very, very tasty vegan food! The cafe is located in a warm and inviting space that is located next to Indy's picturesque Canal Walk (in case you want to take a walk before or after). I was also very impressed by the attentiveness of either the owner or the manager who was there during our visit and who went way out of her way to give us parking advice. It is my understanding there will soon be patio furniture out front. A great place to get your vegan fill, play a board game or two, or stop by as part of your canal walk. Events are posted on their FB page and Insta. Highly recommended!

My first meal from the airport was this cute nook inside of Indianapolis. The serving sizes are worth the price trust me. I would recommend the vegan bacon ranch burger.
