Haute French restaurant
Baco is a stylish restaurant in Santiago that offers French cuisine and a wide selection of wines. The restaurant is known for its outdoor seating and friendly, unobtrusive service. With a focus on well-curated wines, Baco offers over 200 bottles and around 25 rotating selections by the glass, including Chilean options alongside French choices. The menu features classic French dishes made with locally sourced ingredients from the region's markets.
Baco is an absolute gem. The staff is incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, the kind of service that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. They offer complimentary water, don’t charge a service fee, and still go above and beyond. The food is outstanding. I highly recommend the stroganoff — one of the best I’ve had. It’s my favorite restaurant in Santiago, and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to!
Matheus M — Google review
Very nice place for really good food and wine. The wine by the glass is very convenient and their selection is well made. Downstairs seems nice, but we stayed upstairs.

Restaurant Baco: A Top Dining Spot We had an exceptional meal at Restaurant Baco! Even with a queue to get in, it was completely worth the wait. For appetizers, we loved the Steak Tartare and Pork Terrine. Our main courses, the Magret de Canard and Beef Fillet Medallion with Béarnaise, were perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed a refreshing Pisco Sour and their unique Wine Tea (red fruits with wine). The food was outstanding, and the service was great. It's clearly a fantastic restaurant – highly recommended!

My name is Daniela. My friend from Santiago took me here yesterday and it was an amazing evening. The place is chic and people working here are really nice. Food is delicious and you can see this fromthe photos. The rose' was delicate and very nice. For sure a restaurant to visit and to impress your friends. Location is also beautiful

Very friendly place. Excellent range of food. Quite informal but very professional service. No tenemos WiFi. Hablen entre ustedes. Good spirit.

OMG the best Raviolle I have had in my life. I am visiting Santiago, usually I dont go to the same place twice while I am travelling, I like to explore the options but I needed to except it and went back to Baco twice in a week. How great is everything. Favourite place in Santiago so far!
Isa L — Google review
Excellent food for a good price. Great wine selection by the glass. Best oysters I had in Chile (so far). I also enjoyed the salmon tartar and the pan-fried reineta. Magret de canard was good, but not among the best I had before. Reservations are highly encouraged, but you can still get in line to get a table. It's a large and lively space. Highly recommended.

Vegetarian restaurant
Quinoa is a popular bakery-cafe chain that offers a variety of fresh and healthy options, including quinoa bowls and pastries. The menu features Mediterranean cuisine suitable for vegetarians, with options for any time of day. While only soft drinks are available for purchase due to the restaurant's location near an educational establishment, customers can bring their own alcoholic drinks for a small fee. The cozy atmosphere and communal seating make it an ideal spot for a leisurely Sunday morning.
one of santiago's best establishments. this place has gorgeous food in a gorgeous environment filled with gorgeous people. an absolute treat to eat here, not only for my mind, but my body as well (the food is so healthy and so tasty). the perfect spot for a lunch / dinner / anything, i'd go on a 3rd date here in an instant.

My favorite vegetarian restaurant from the neighborhood 💚🌿 I love to go and have brunch there but the entire menu is very good! For anytime of the day and it’s great for mindful meetings too!
Margarita L — Google review
A nice restaurant in pleasant area of Vitacura. As I’m preferring vegetarian options it was nice to stop by. Place light, clean, staff nice, food good but could be even a bit more delicious. Empanadas fantastic, tacos ok, lasagne fine.
Tereza A — Google review
I’m really pleased to find a place like this in Santiago. Really nice vibe. Plenty of gluten-free options clearly identified in the menu. Suggestion for the owner: Make more dishes gluten free optional (e.g. Mezze with gluten free bread or Ceviche without Soja souce).
Laica F — Google review
We ordered a set with falafel humus pita bread and salad. Pretty good. Staff also speaks English. Was overall good but had a bit high expectation.
Prateek B — Google review
This was a good Restaurant, especially for being vegetarian. Loved the orange carrot juice. My husband and I enjoyed the gnocchi more than pad thai. Pad thai was more like noodles with vegetables in an Asian sauce than the typical pad thai we eat. The chai latte wasn’t as good as we hoped. We did enjoy the desserts.

Indian restaurant
New Horizon is a popular spot in the Bellas Artes neighborhood, known for serving delicious and affordable Indian cuisine. Despite not being authentic Chilean food, it has become a favorite among expats and tourists. The restaurant offers a bilingual menu and is often crowded, with people lining up to get a taste of its flavorful dishes. While the food may not be very spicy by local standards, it still receives praise for its delicious flavors.
This was simple food but done really well. I struggled to find Indian food in my travels through South America, but this was quite tasty. The menu is limited but the portion size is really good. The space is really small, but every time I walked past it was always busy. I would recommend.
Chetna G — Google review
Finding good vegetarian food during my 2 week travel in Argentina and Chile was a struggle, so as soon as I saw an Indian food restaurant with good rating, I went there for dinner. I was not disappointed. The vegetable curry was very good, it came with rice. The samosas were a good starter. The price very reasonable. I can see why this place is very popular. It is a small place with few seatings.
Swagata D — Google review
A tiny joint with a good Indian food worth the try. The line is long since there are few tables, but you’ll be glad you tried it. For $9 bucks you get a curry of your choice, rice, nahan and a beverage
Yosi F — Google review
very tasty food! not super authentic, the side salad is a little disappointing and the naan isn’t super fluffy, but the lunchtime offer is a great deal, and the curry was delicious. i asked for the most spicy and it did have a little bit of spice, but still not super hot.
Isobel B — Google review
What a great meal. The food was authentic. Don’t be put off by the proletarian premises, the food is great. As a bonus the owner gave some of needy o the street a small meal package; we were deeply impressed and even offered to help by payment forward but they refused as they do it out of kindness
Terrence L — Google review
Amazing flavours, good portions and great value for money. They have at least 6 different curries with chicken, veg, paneer and fish. All curries come with rice and the breads are cheap. Not many tables but well worth waiting for if full.
Paul C — Google review
From the moment I stepped into this Indian restaurant, I was captivated by the warm ambiance and inviting aroma of spices wafting through the air. The décor was a perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional Indian charm, featuring vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and soft lighting that created a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and hospitality that immediately made me feel welcome. They were attentive without being intrusive, patiently answering questions about the dishes and even offering recommendations tailored to my taste preferences. This personal touch set the tone for what turned out to be an extraordinary dining experience.
Amr E — Google review
Good food but not many options. The salad that comes with the daily menu is underwhelming, but it is a cheap meal after all. The curry is nice, however you shouldn't expect a truly authentic Indian dish. The place gets crowded, so if you want to sit down make sure to arrive exactly at 12:45 when they open, otherwise you'll have to wait in line.

Restaurant
Salvador Cocina y Café is a hidden gem located in downtown Santiago, offering an unexpected culinary experience. The menu features a variety of Chilean dishes with a modern twist, showcasing the city's innovative food scene. The restaurant offers set menus on weekdays that include appetizers, main courses, iced tea, and a choice of coffee or dessert at great value. With a focus on sustainability, Salvador Cocina y Café incorporates offal into many of its dishes.
This is hands-down one of the best food in Chile with the best value for 9000 you get appetizer, main meal and iced tea and dessert. The owner is incredibly friendly and everything is amazing! The fish was cooked to perfection and the empanadas are made with special flour that is fluffy and crispy in the same time, very good!

Lovely cafe in very good location for business and tourists. Coffee and croissants were as good as general standard. Good value for money as we ordered bundle promotion.
Sunyawit S — Google review
The food was phenomenal. We ordered the set lunch ; appetizer + main + coffee & ice tea. The beef was so tender. Highly recommended and good value. The menu changes from time to time. Also, it gets busy during lunch from 1pm. May want to consider reservation.
Suan M — Google review
We had a wonderful three course lunch at Salvador’s for only $9900 CLP per person! We were seated quickly & had our appetizers within minutes of ordering. Food was hot & delicious & a refreshing mango iced tea was also included. Seemed like a bit of a local spot. Would definitely go back!
Stephanie M — Google review
Great service by the manager with his suggestions and lovely waiters. Overall, Food was very good.
Naveen M — Google review
Best lunch in Santiago, nice cosy and really homey comfort food. A bit down. The pork belly still have bone residual and should peel the garlic. Otherwise perfect! The pork belly dish really gentle seasoned. Balanced with pickled onion. Not too greasy. The latte is really nice as well
June R — Google review
A tasty surprise! A dear friend of mine chose this place to have lunch yesterday and reading about it now I realize that Salvador Cocina y Café is ran by famous chef Rolando Ortega, who made the pig his star meat. He opened a new restaurant called La Salvación (that I will be checking soon). The only downer: too noisy. I tried the Caesar Salvad salad and the polenta. REALLY good!

Fresh food market
Supermarket
Mercado la Vega is a bustling and spacious market housed in a warehouse-like space, offering an array of edible goods from prepared foods to fresh produce. The climate in Chile allows for the growth of various fruits and vegetables, making the market a sight to behold with its gorgeous and plentiful offerings. Visitors can explore rows of vendors selling local avocados, Peruvian chiles, and superfood powders like camu camu and spirulina.
If you never been to a South American market, this is the one to visit. It is big. It is organized (if you've been to Mexico City, theirs it is the biggest, but total chaos and not so clean, unlike this one. Clean and very Chilean, calm!!!) I came in for the experience, watching the stall owners proudly displaying their spices, vegetables and fruits, no shouting, just the Chilean singing voice. It is a picture Paradise. Then I headed to the very end where the food stalls area. A maze of tables, but go for the colors. I chose green tables. The little kitchen had an award plaque on the name, I guessed for good higiene. Now, the food. Oh wow. Did taste amazing and at very good price. You can also tell it was cooked with fresh ingredients and plenty spices. Not chili. Tried their National dish Cazuela, a must! (In the right place like here). Explosion of flavors. Followed the cheese fondue prawns that came set on fire! To a tourist, they made me feel very special. So everyone else clapping the hands. I think it was called Chupe de Guatita. Keep some coins as the loo needs 700 pesos. Mind you the lady water lent me 1000 pesos to go quickly before the food, and wash the hands. How nice is this. Well recommended.
Renato L — Google review
Great place for bargain hunting. Lots of fresh produce, meat, groceries and lots more. Shop around and double check quality before buying, don't be afraid to ask. Best time to go is definitely very early as it gets pretty busy sometimes.
Wynand K — Google review
A huge-and-all-you-need Vega Central indoors market. It saves you money if you have time to do your shopping here. You can use both card (tarjeta) or cash (effectivo). The municipality needs to invest in improving both infrastructure and cleanliness.
Nadim M — Google review
I buy almost everything there. Often at a quarter of the price (or even cheaper) than what you need to pay in the supermarket. Best quality!
Christian H — Google review
An underrated market. One can find literally everything local and exotic here. Great places especially if you wish to make jams! That’s where all the local restaurant owners come to buy their foods. Great Venezuelan and Colombian fast food stalls. Even real Coffee shops. Cannot miss this place if you are into Latin food!
Tanja S — Google review
Bst place to buy good quality and fresh fruits and vegetables at a very fair price. Cool places to have lunch with a wide variety of delicious options

One of Santiago's musts. Great fruit and veggies, lately also lots of groceries, frozen food and meats. A typical Chilean place.
Juane B — Google review
You can get almost anything here, but especially great deals on fresh fruit and veggies. Lots of good meat, fish, and bulk beans, grains and nuts as well. It always seems crowded and busy so be prepared for sensory overload.

(Translated by Google) Good coffee, of Peruvian origin, when I visited. The atmosphere, in my taste, is functional, although an interior space would be needed, since it is always a good time for a coffee and in full sun it is not very pleasant. As for the service or treatment received, it left a lot to be desired. Although the facade has the appearance of offering an excellent comprehensive service, it was not. The barista or the person who served was not friendly and was somewhat rude, to the point that you didn't want to stay a few minutes in the chairs outside.

Na Que Ver is a chilean restaurant that specializes in XL sized dishes, picarona and guachaca. It's open from Monday to Sunday from 12:45pm to until it's all gone, located on General Bulnes street in the vibrant Yungay neighborhood.
By far the best picada in Santiago, Chile! The menu changes on a weekly basis bringing you a diverse choice of local cuisine. The restaurant is very cozy and it feels like you are eating at your grandma’s house. The food is copious and flavourful. The owner is super nice and took the time to talk to us during the lunch rush. N’a Que Ver is a must visit!
Jessica S — Google review
Everything I ate here was good — the meat in the carne a la olla y pastelera was falling-apart tender and the corn was creamy, the dobladitas that you get on the side seem home made and delicious, as was the pebre. The home-made pineapple and basil kombucha, raspberry lemonade, and deserts were also great. Note that the menu changes each week depending on what’s in season, etc, which I like, but you should check the menu online before visiting if you’re worried they won’t have something you like. Also note they can quickly run out if popular dishes like the carne a la olla y pastelera. If I wanted to show friends visiting from overseas good examples of Chilean cooking I would bring them here.
Matt B — Google review
Delicious Chilean cuisine, reasonable prices, and friendly service! I would definitely recommend this lunch spot to anyone visiting Santiago.
Lucy F — Google review
It's a very nice and cozy place. They cook and sell food until it runs out, then you're out of luck! 😉They don't have a stable menu and cook different things every day. Do they have a dessert? Well.. maybe yes and maybe not 😅 I really like the concept they have!

Best Chilean food of our trip. Authentic pastel de choclo was fantastic - went twice in two days it was so good.
Paul C — Google review
The food is really good. The dishes are delicious and they have good different options. But the girl that make orders is a little unpolite. Actually she needs to have good maners to talk and treat the custumers. This is the reason that made my evaluation be 3 stars.

This place is awesome!!! The food, the drinks, the staff! A must visit in a stgo downtown. (Translated by Google) Every once in a while I buy a pot of urchins because La Pesca generally has the freshest urchins. But today I bought a pot and it was super salty, it seems like they added salt, and too much. It also has a slightly bitter taste in the background, I hope they are fresh, but I am doubtful. It has parking for about 5 cars and has a few tables if you want to eat there, which not many people do, generally they are takeout orders. (Translated by Google) Disappointed!!!... I've been a Mekis customer for a while. Two weekends ago I went to buy oysters and they delivered less than what I had bought and paid for. That same day I called and they told me that when I returned they would return the oysters that hadn't been delivered. Today, June 2nd, I went and remembered the situation again. They told me not to worry because they would be returned. When I got home, there were 2 more oysters than I had bought and they owed me 8!... horrible!

(Translated by Google) Food: if you are looking for a place with traditional Chilean food, well seasoned that reminds you of the food at your grandmother's house... This is a must-see place to enjoy it, the menu is rotating and they usually have 5 to 7 dishes available where your flavor and abundance stand out above anything, the drinks range from soft drinks to wine and beer through a classic Burgundy, the dessert is the fruit that is at the entrance and/or exit of the premises... From the salad to the bottom it is a experience! Service: very attentive, they explain the dishes to you and from the moment you sit down until you stand up they care about serving you in the best way, consider that they only receive cash, not transfers and that the place has around 10 to 12 tables and many times The table is shared, as it has a snack character, some go alone to eat, others in pairs, thus ensuring a large table for more than 4 people. Finally, the price does not include a tip, being a cheap place for the quantity and quality of its food. Atmosphere: it is a house adapted to receive diners on the covered patio, so you have a spacious place with a festive atmosphere that allows you to have a good time, the place does not look much from the outside and has little advertising, so you should be attentive to your address. Nestled just three blocks from the bustling Plaza de Maipú, Amaia Restaurante is a culinary gem that beautifully showcases the rich heritage of Mapuche and changa cuisine. Founded in 2019 by renowned Indigenous chef José Luis Calfucura and Ivan Zambra, this vibrant eatery has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. During the pandemic, they transformed their cozy interior into an inviting terrace where guests can savor seasonal dishes inspired by ancestral recipes.

(Translated by Google) It's without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants! It's a warm, pleasant, and above all delicious place! And the best part is that the background music is exactly to my liking. On our last visit, we ordered a crudo, the "carretu," as a starter, and it was spectacular, a unique blend of flavors. I highly recommend it! Then, for our main course, we ordered a surf and turf disc, which we shared between two, as the portion is generous. It's an exquisite dish, with homey flavors that transport us to southern Chile, with a good portion of seafood and meat, and a very flavorful broth. I would go back a thousand times if my budget allowed it, haha.

As winter approaches in the South, families prepare for the season by making a traditional dish known as arrollado de huaso. This delightful pork roll is crafted from carefully selected ingredients, including tender pork meat pulp, savory bacon slices, and a blend of garlic, pepper, and cumin to enhance its flavor. The mixture is rolled in pork skin and coated with a vibrant chili pepper sauce before being securely tied with string. It’s then simmered in broth until perfectly cooked.
