My family and I was anxious to eat at this popular pizzeria in Civitavecchia, when we first arrived, the place was full inside and outside soon enough, we got a table we were a group of seven people. The waitress took our order at 8:45 within a few minutes we got our drinks however, the pizza only got there at 10:15. The staff is nonchalant and heaven forbid if you ask for anything. the pizza comes on the big square sheet of wax paper. There is no cutlery and your plate becomes another piece of paper. Everything has to be eaten with your hands not the most hygienic, we ordered three of the four specialties of the house. The pizza we had was good however waiting for over 1hr was disappointing.

Family visit to Rome after niece's wedding We took a morning train to Civitavecchia from Rome. Very beautiful and a peaceful city. Since I am vegetarian and we were looking for a place to have lunch which serves vegetarian. Found this place by accident. We were very impressed by the owner, since he is an allrounder we use this term in Cricket in India. One who bowls bats and fields is known as allrounder. At this place the owner makes pizza, serves, cleans and collects the money at the cash counter. The pizza was very good and tasty. There was only one option for the vegetarian that is Margarita pizza. Requested the owner for some paprika and it was really hot and we wanted know what is it called, unfortunately he didn’t know and said it is home grown doesn’t know the name. Over all excellent experience and would strongly recommend this place.

Friendly waitress who even though her English wasn't perfect she did her best to communicate with us and make sure our order was correct and that we had a great dining experience. We arrived to Civitavecchia after a long day of travel by trains. We showed up right at 7PM when the restaurant opens for dinner. We like to have dinner early and during our meal, we were the only ones at the restaurant. The service was great (our server spoke almost no English and we speak 0.01 Italian, thus Google Translate came to our rescue). Our server brought out Fried Oysters as the complementary amuse bouche. Our dinner was exquisite: my wife ordered the Seafood Ravioli and a side of Sauteed Spinach, I ordered the small Shelled Fish Soup and a side of Grilled Vegetables. The ravioli and soup were WONDERFUL! After I finished the soup, both of my hands had the broth dripping on. I am glad to find this quaint restaurant for our first night here. If you are visiting Civitavecchia, pay this place a visit.

A very romantic place where to go for special dinner if you want to celebrate something and also to eat good seafood, fresh and well cooked. This restaurant is located in the historical center of the city, a very pretty area for walking. We had starter with many different kinds of seafood like octopus, squid, prawn, scampi, anchovy, mussel... cooked in different style, then seafood ravioli (type of dumpling composed of a filling sealed between two layers of thin pasta dough) and seafood spaghetti in foil, all very well-made. The house white wine was excellent and the price charged was very reasonable. Fantastic night, great food and good service.

The pasta we had was exceptionally good. I am Italian and taking pasta very seriously :) the pasta with Vongole and Bottarga was incredible and so was the one with octopus and pecorino! Wow they were amazing! Good choice and good place while waiting for the ferry! Also price was pretty honest for the whole meal! Thanks we will come back!

Stopped here on our drive along the coast returning to Rome from Tuscany. One of most delicious and best valued meals of our trip. Lovely ocean front location. Great service too but the real star was the food, gnocchi in a pink scampi sauce, and spaghetti with local seafood, both amazing and generous portions. We would not choose to stay overnight in this town due to the huge cruise ships with many tourists and all the beggars that that invites, but this was a perfect pit stop. Although much of the town is not charming, there is a lovely strip of beachfront restaurants that are not far off the highway, and offers more choice then charming locations like Talamone or Porto Ercole. Parking was quite easy also, but it was April off season, but hmmm I guess cruise ship people do not have cars, nor do they eat in nice restaurants like this typically!

Just a heads-up: although it says they close at 4 PM, the kitchen actually shuts down around 3 PM, and they’re usually closed in the evenings during the winter months. We visited in October and were lucky to sit outside in the sun — it was beautiful and very relaxing. For starters, we had fresh oysters — very good quality — and a green salad, which was also fresh and well-balanced. The starters (we gad the mix) was super salty and tasted reheated. The mains where served like they were just chucked on the plates, vegetables sides were undercooked and the fish was simply not tasty.

I am crew on a cruise ship, today was my 2nd visit to Sora Maria. I had the exact same meal as my first visit: the mixed grilled seafood. Absolutely perfection! Seriously, some of the freshest seafood from Barcelona to Naples. Thank you all so much! I look forward to coming here many times in the future.

Unexpected hidden gem ! On a quiet Sunday evening this place was busy, and with good reason. Firstly it’s located on a pretty atmospheric square in the old town. Secondly, the menu is unexpected- modern tapas style Italian food. And all very reasonably priced. Perfect spot to enjoy an aperol spritz with a light snack, or a full meal. My wife is Italian and her family lives here and I have eaten at this place every time we come visit. Not anymore, Do NOT eat here. It has changed owners and they send out 1 pizza ever 10 minutes or so then come out and say they are slowing down and not cooking anymore. The place was packed when we were there and every table was still hungry. Trust me, there is better food and less attitude!

I am heading on a cruise and will not be able to walk as much as I intended to do. In USA an apology or comp meal is the minimum norm. Very disappointed in the reaction from management.

You enter the tiny shop to order your pizza but no seating inside. My wife ordered one slice to try while I waited outside. There were what appeared to be convenience tables along the sidewalk, similar to the small Gelato shops to lean against and eat your Gelato. The slice cost approximately 2.50. The staff saw me standing outside waiting for my wife and came out to place a couple of napkins for us on a table while the pizza was being heated. At first I thought it was a kind gesture. She then came out with the pizza and placed it on the table. We noticed our credit card receipt was 6.07. When we questioned the amount, the lady told us it was a service charge for two people to stand and use the outside table. The pizza was average, but the moment was ruined with how she placed napkins on the table, and since we did not reject the napkins, she charged us service charges for two people.
