Hotel
Nestled in the picturesque San Carlos de Bariloche, Design Suites Bariloche is a luxurious retreat that perfectly blends comfort and style. This stunning hotel boasts breathtaking views of Nahuel Huapi Lake and the surrounding mountains, making it an ideal getaway for nature lovers. Guests can indulge in various amenities, including both indoor and outdoor pools, a well-equipped gym, and a soothing sauna to unwind after a day of exploration.
Beautiful views of the lake from this hotel. Food is good but the views are what make this a great place to stay. Up on a hill, so we didn't try to walk anywhere from here. Uber and taxi were easy to get to head out to see the sites of the area.
Becki W — Google review
We had a great time. Service is excellent and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable after a good hike in the area. The restaurant serves good food and the staff is very kind. The view from the restaurant over the lake is amazing.

As an Argentine, I recognize that the Desing Hotel Bariloche offers a unique accommodation experience, standing out for its innovative design and prime location right by the lakeshore. The view of the majestic Lake Azul, framed by impressive mountains, and the harmonious integration of nature—with pine trees, a diverse array of birds, and beautiful flowers—makes it especially attractive to foreign tourists and those with higher disposable incomes. The hotel’s entrance, featuring steep ramps, adds a distinctive yet somewhat extravagant architectural touch. However, from my perspective, this focus is quite evident: the complex is clearly geared toward an exclusive clientele. Minor issues, such as a brief interruption in the water supply and some offhand remarks from the staff (like suggesting guests leave their jewelry at the counter during breakfast), contribute to the feeling that the service is trying to impose standards that aren’t in tune with our local customs. Overall, while the experience at the Desing Hotel is remarkable, its concept seems tailored more for a specific type of visitor rather than for the local tourist.

Rooms were great, better than expected. However, we chose this hotel based on the pool, when we arrived it was closed, under construction. Hotel is offering a Pool in other hotel (they’ll drive you there) till 8pm. Not happy about it, didn’t offer anything. It was a very expensive hotel (for Argentina) and I felt I got scammed with the Pool. Everything else was great but can’t give more than 2 starts, felt betrayed… Before booking check the pool option, if it’s there it’s a 5start !
Michal B — Google review
This hotel is undoubtedly one of the best I've ever experienced. The staff's excellence, the stunning venue, and the unparalleled room service make it stand out. With a perfect location and added luxuries like the hot tub and heated floors, I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Herman B — Google review
Bad service. Bad room service. Good location
Lautaro H — Google review
So much wrong with this hotel. A foreword: We were charged in DOLLARS on their site. They would not let us re-pay in pesos when we arrived so we paid at OFFICIAL rate. A complete rip off. Floor in our room had water damage, lots of the hotel feels cheaply built. Pool tiles have damage, floor of our tub had dents in it, we got “upgraded” but our room didn’t have a tub viewing the lake (just in the bathroom) and it was enormous even though we’re two people. The furniture was not arranged properly and the rooms are not sound-isolated. The food is honestly disgusting and extraordinarily overpriced. Our Caesar salad was *very* WARM. We could not get more than 1 bite in. The burger was edible but not good. The sweet treat I had from the refrigerator was stale. This hotel is way too expensive for what it is and I regret staying there. The good: the people who work at the hotel are nice. The service is good. The view, at the right angle, is pretty. Any other angle and you see the parking lot, the road, etc. For the same price you can stay at a nicer hotel. For a little more, you can stay at a 5 star hotel. Very disappointed. My biggest regret from my whole trip in Argentina.
Ilo — Google review
Loved our stay here. We treated ourselves to one of the rooms with a hot tub and mountain view and don’t regret it. The view was beautiful and the room very comfy. The pool area was clean and swimming in the outdoor pool with views of the mountains was great. Nice and relaxing stay overall. You can get a cheap cab into town if you don’t want to walk, or can’t. Order it at reception and ask for the blue and white meter taxis. There’s also plenty of taxis in the town centre to catch back again. There’s a tour information office next to reception who can help you plan your time in the area. They were helpful and knowledgable. The only downsides were that the walls were very thin so we heard the neighbouring room’s loud TV, hot tub generator and their shouting. All of which they did a lot of, even at night, every day we were there. Also the massage room is next to the indoor pool so you get all the noise and hubbub from the people using it when you’re trying to relax. And the therapists had to keep the door open as it was so hot. But the hot stone massage itself was great. Overall I’d say a 4.5 but can’t do half stars so rounded it up because of the beautiful location and friendly staff.

2Alma del Lago Suites & Spa

Hotel
Alma del Lago Suites & Spa is a luxurious lakefront hotel in San Carlos de Bariloche, offering a perfect blend of alpine charm and cosmopolitan elegance. The hotel features an expansive spa with a heated indoor pool and stunning views of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Guests can indulge in hot-stone massages, shiatsu treatments, mud baths, and collagen facials. The upscale rooms showcase a mid-century-inspired style, with top-tier master suites boasting a dining space for eight.
Despite the hotel’s impressive location and great amenities, the service is consistently poor. The hotel staff, particularly Leobaldo and Kaspar, who work at the buffet, are particularly unprofessional. While other staff members at the buffet are friendly and helpful, Leobaldo and Kaspar exhibit an attitude of disinterest and rudeness. When we requested to be seated at a table, Leobaldo and Kaspar gave us an unfriendly response. Despite observing them chatting in the kitchen shortly before our arrival, they refused to assist us. When we asked them to clean a table, which was heavily soiled due to the high number of guests, they initially refused and began cleaning other tables instead. This delay caused us to wait for 10 minutes. When I politely requested their assistance, Leobaldo simply said, “Wait.” I waited for a few more minutes, but the couple sitting next to us left. Instead of cleaning our table, the two staff members moved on to cleaning the couple’s table, as if we were being punished for asking them to do their jobs. Although I speak Spanish, which the staff was unaware of, Leobaldo rudely informed my partner in Spanish, “I told you to wait!” This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the hotel’s management. After this incident we were left to bend for ourselves. On the positive side, the front desk staff is friendly and the cleaning staff is always smiling at guests. However, the negative reviews of this hotel are well-deserved. While the hotel has undergone a recent renovation and is not old, the service remains a significant issue. The hotel’s location is advantageous, being within a 15-20 minute walk of downtown. The views from the windows are stunning, especially at the buffet, which is a popular spot for guests seeking to enjoy the scenery. However, the negative reviews consistently highlight the poor service, which detracts from the overall experience.

Stayed here for 3 nights. I am trying to comprehend the rating system as this was NOT a five star hotel! I have stayed at five star hotels all over the world. Maybe this is 2 star. The view from the room is great as you're right on the lake. NOTHING ELSE and I mean nothing else is good. Rooms are tired, breakfast was sub par ( went across the street for decent coffee), gym is dirty and one treadmill was broken and the staff..... As tourists, you expect kindness and hospitality. Well you won't get that here. They couldn't be bothered to help you with anything. Actually one staff person, Ezekiel (sp?) engaged us in the most awkward conversation when we returned from a hike. Housekeeping had given us extra towels so we took them outside the hotel and of course came back with them (unused). He was incredibly annoyed with the entire situation! I would strongly encourage some customer service training with your staff as he wasn't the only one. Despite the disappointment with the hotel, we ate very well and had a nice time in Bariloche.

For any North American reading these reviews, do not be deceived by the concept of a “spa” or “suite” in the title. This is a very average hotel that charges a premium as if it were a North American standard “spa” hotel. Highly overrated here. Average rooms with bare basics. And a mattress from the 90s with old coil springs. The hotel is on the highway, so if you have a room facing the street, you’re subject to the noise of trucks passing through most of the night. For a supposedly 5-star hotel, this was a waste
Tim H — Google review
How is this a 5 star hotel? Truly awful customer service, awful rooms, awful average breakfast. This place is just living of its location. Avoid! We checked in and didnt get the room booked. Front office didnt care one jot. A shrug of the shoulders... we have stayed in two hotels in Argentina before this - both 4 star - both way better. Seriously management should take note as the -ve reviews I have read now are very accurate! Wish I had checked them out before hand,
Niall Q — Google review
Very disappointing. Had expected more. Located a fair walk from the town centre which is ok if weather is good but otherwise one is stranded. The is soulless rather than being the soul of the lake. The hotel offers very little other than a room and mediocre breakfast. There is is pool and a gym of sorts. The rooms are ok but the sound installation is poor. The hotel smelt of chlorine from the pool. The hotel feels like it would benefit from new management /ownership to make it more welcoming. The staff were individually very pleasant but there seemed to be no one in charge with an attention to detail. The fact that we were charged for a tea bag we used in our room sort of sums up how this place is run currently.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a wider tour of Argentina organised by a travel agent. Bariloche for us was the weakest leg of our trip. The town itself is a little grungy and down at heal and didn’t feel as safe as the other places that we went. However, nothing can take away from this hotel the proximity to the lake and the amazing views that go with it. However, it didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel as the quality of the amenities is poor. One running machine in the gym electrocutes you periodically as you are running and on the other the belt is deadly. A weird rationing of toilet rolls appeared to be going on and we had to keep calling reception to get more! We did have 2 nice meals in the cafe and breakfast was lovely. We also had massages that we enjoyed but the spa is basic. It felt like the economic crisis was hitting Bariloche hard and we hope that this hotel can survive.
Caroline H — Google review
The hotel setting is stunning- it’s got a perfect view of the water from different parts of the hotel including the pool, toilets, lobby area. The lobby staff are friendly. The bar is great for sundown cocktails (e.g. highly recommend the caipirinha). But it’s not a 5* hotel as they advertise but somewhere between 3 and 4*. The breakfast is just too basic with no alternative for dietary requirements. Also staff were clear on no flexibility on takeaway breakfast for when we had to leave early. The pool opens late and on one day the staff let a guest do a work call on his laptop from the relaxing zone and prioritised him finishing his call beyond wider guest relaxation. The gym is really basic and the sauna has a strange booking schedule at fixed times. But what stood out to me is that all of this feedback is already available online which makes me think management just doesn’t genuinely care about improving guest experiences. If you get a good deal - it’s a really good option.

Avoid this place like Covid during 2020! While the hotel and property are beautiful, and the food service was excellent with generous portions, the spa experience left a lot to be desired. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: • Massage (6/10): I’ve had massages around the world, and while the therapist was polite, the massage lacked strength. Being semi-muscular, I understand it’s difficult for older therapists to deliver a firm massage, but it was underwhelming. • Sauna (0/10): This was the main reason for my visit, and it was a complete disappointment. The sauna temperature was only 63°C, far below what’s needed to sweat. I had to stand dangerously close to the heat source just to feel any warmth, and even then, I barely broke a sweat. I raised the issue with the staff, specifically Julieta and Mirta, but they were untrained and didn’t seem to care. It felt like the spa is cutting corners on energy costs by not preheating the sauna. For a “5-star” hotel, 1 star spa. • Lake Access (8/10): Rocky but nice for an ice bath. • Food (10/10): Excellent quality with great portions. • Food Service (10/10): Impeccable service from the restaurant team. • Reception Service (7/10): Generally okay, but nothing exceptional. • Spa Service (2/10): non-functional spa and a lying staff member Martí. • Pool (6/10): The water quality was poor—stagnant and overly chlorinated. I regretted using it after my massage. As someone with experience maintaining pools, this was concerning. Despite the affordable price (~63k pesos per person), the core aspects I came for—the sauna and massage—were disappointing. The staff should have offered a resolution, like another session at a proper sauna temperature, but that didn’t happen. If you’re looking for a real spa experience, you need to look elsewhere. If you’re considering booking a spa day here, think twice. While the hotel property is beautiful and the food service was excellent with large portions, the spa experience was far below expectations. Here’s a breakdown: • Massage (6/10): The therapist was polite, but the massage lacked strength. I’ve had massages all over the world, and this one was subpar, likely due to the therapist’s age and lack of body strength. As a semi-muscular man, this is something I’ve seen before. • Sauna (0/10): The main reason I booked the spa day was for the sauna, which was a complete failure. The temperature was only 63°C, far below what’s necessary to sweat. I had to stand dangerously close to the heat source just to feel anything, and still barely broke a sweat. When I raised this issue with the staff (Julieta and Mirta), they were clueless and didn’t care to fix the problem. Either the staff is poorly trained, or the spa is cutting costs by not preheating the sauna. For a 5-star hotel, the spa deserves no more than 2 stars. • Lake Access (8/10): Rocky, but nice for an ice bath. • Food (10/10): Excellent quality and portions. • Food Service (10/10): The restaurant service was outstanding. • Reception Service (7/10): Satisfactory, nothing exceptional. • Spa Service (5/10): Uninformed staff with no attention to detail. • Pool (6/10): The water quality was poor—stagnant and overly chlorinated. It wasn’t pleasant to swim in after the massage. As someone experienced in pool maintenance, I can say the water wasn’t being filtered properly. Despite the affordable price (~63k pesos per person), the core aspects of my visit—the sauna and massage—were disappointing. The staff didn’t offer any resolution, and I wasted my time. If you’re looking for a genuine spa experience, I suggest you look elsewhere. To the owner: Don’t respond to this unless you’re giving me a refund. Don’t pretend to care with a generic reply because I will come to collect. Ignore any response they post. Lastly, look at the video she says it reaches 70, and lied about the thermometer temp. inside like I was a a dumbass. She called me a dumbass without saying it. Mirta should be fired and Julieta should be promoted for trying to do the right thing or pay her Mirtas’ salary.

Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, this family-friendly hotel offers a range of indulgent experiences including invigorating hot springs, rejuvenating massages with local botanical essences, and serene pools with stunning views.
Beautiful grounds; very rustic looking. Rooms are comfortable, clean and there's even a bathtub. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Very nice hotel, but far from town. Uber is available for about $5-$6 to town, but the walk isn’t recommended. Their breakfast buffet is awesome.
Dave T — Google review
They handle everything terribly when it comes to giving this as a gift. After you pay, they don’t follow up — you have to chase them. The voucher doesn't clearly state the schedule, and the whole thing is a mess. The organization and the people in charge of this spa day are a disaster when it comes to offering it as a gift. Everything is extremely sloppy.
Nicolás G — Google review
Outstanding view of the lake, spacious well furnished comfortable rooms and bathrooms, very pleasant atmosphere, friendly helpful staff.
Eli W — Google review
Do not stay here! Such a shame because Bariloche is supposed to be the ideal spot for winter but this hotel ruined our experience. Terrible staff, below average and overpriced food. For a nice time take your family somewhere else!
Ana R — Google review
we bought access to their "spa": a pool, a jacuzzi that didn't work and saunas that were separated by gender. we were there as a couple, so of course we would have liked to have been able to use the sauna together. in addition, children were allowed in the pool area which were the primary(only) room to relax. a family with three very noisy children came in while we were there.

My husband and I from Chicago 🇺🇸stayed at the Huinid Hotel excellent service, the breakfast was absolutely amazing the rooms was very contable and clean, the spa 🧖‍♀️ it’s a very good stop that I recommend it. The staff that service at the hotel is nice and very attentive. Really good experience. Thanks all ♥️ we are in love with Bariloche. 🇦🇷🫶🏻Rose

The worst hotel of our trip. No air conditioning, offensive food/breakfast and untrained staff and far from the centre. It offers no benefit. No all rooms have the view of the lake and you might be unlucky to open your room and see a wall. It does not deserve to have four stars.

Rochester Bariloche Suites & Spa is a luxurious hotel in San Carlos de Bariloche, offering opulent suites with balconies and kitchenettes. The hotel features an indoor/outdoor pool, a gym, and a spa with massage services. Guests can enjoy amenities such as free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and minibars in the rooms. The spacious bathrooms include separate toilets and showers, as well as Jacuzzi tubs.
I loved my stay here. The staff was wonderful, especially Gabriel and Ezequiel.Everyone was so welcoming and so helpful. I got a massage from Silvina and she was seriously the best massage therapist I have ever been to! I scheduled another one from her the following evening. I felt so comfortable in the room I booked and loved the view and the location.
Renee L — Google review
We loved staying at the Rochester! Our loft room was perfect for 3 people, and the staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. The view of the lake is gorgeous and they offer a nice breakfast that they’ll deliver to the room for $14 usd per person. The 24-hour reception and the ability to contact via WhatsApp made everything more convenient and no question or concern was left unaddressed. The staff also sent over recommendations for the area and helped us make the most of our stay. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Bariloche.
Rachel C — Google review
A wonderful place to stay when visiting Bariloche. The Rochester is comfortable, clean, spacious and the staff and service exceptional. Always helpful. The location is gorgeous, just across from the ‘lago’. Highly recommend.
Paul L — Google review
Pros: -Great rooms with a nice view. We stayed in one of the lofts. Very spacious -Parking is easy. We drove into town and parking there was very difficult. I imagine at some of the hotels there, it would be an issue. It was nice being at a hotel with good parking. Cons: -It's a good 15-20 minutes from the town center (depending on traffic). If you want someplace within walking distance of the town, this is not the place for you -Staff were friendly but those we spoke to did not have the best English. We speak some Spanish, at least enough to communicate. For us, it wasn't a major issue. But for English-speaking travelers that speak no Spanish, it could be a little challenging. That said, it's a very pleasant experience and I would still recommend this location.
Stephen G — Google review
Great place! The jacuzzi hot tub is the best, it comes with bath salts that smell amazing. Staff was super friendly too. Highly recommend. The pool is heated, it’s not deep enough to swim in though but perfect to relax
Eva L — Google review
All around excellent experience. The installations are fantastic, very clean and well-designed. The staff, which is to me one of the most important aspects, is beyond nice and hospitable, incredibly responsive. The rooms are massive, the hot tub is the biggest I've been in! The beds are wonderful. They also provide anything you might need to cook and such if you so choose. If you don't, delivery arrives straight to your door, as they guide it through. Breakfast was just delicious, the spa area is very nice, the pool is beautiful. 10/10 would recommend.

This charming hotel features chic accommodations with private balconies that boast stunning lake views, making it an ideal retreat for families and couples alike. Guests can indulge in exquisite dining at the upscale restaurant or unwind at the full-service spa, where rejuvenating massages and body treatments await.
This is a lovely hotel in a wonderful location, right on the lake. It seems to be oriented as a winter place, for the ski season, though we visited in summer. There are fireplaces in the rooms but it was too warm for that. We enjoyed the hot tub in the room with a stunning view of the lake and mountains while sitting in the tub. It is also walking distance to several good restaurants. It is a short Uber ride to the main part of town. We also enjoyed the hotel’s restaurant, for all meals.

Beautiful hotel, all wood and stone and warm and comfortable. Reception area, Sara, Natalie, Maxi, EXCELLENT!! Restaurant, Bárbara and Pia, EXCELLENT! Great food, home-made. Room had warm amenities, bathroom with great shower, thick towels. Housekeeping staff very accommodating. We would stay here again and again and again.

Unfortunately our Christmas trip was memorable for the wrong reasons. Not only did we pay for what we thought would be a dream location, but we also signed up for their Christmas Dinner. Note in the photo we asked about Christmas Day and they didn't correct us that dinner is on Christmas Eve. $471 was paid for the dinner for 5 and they refunded us only 40%! The room photos speak for themselves...do they look like $600+/night rooms?

Every room has a fireplace and jacuzzi. The bed was so comfy. It was a really nice experience.

Ni del Cóndor was a great little stay. Our room had a fantastic view room 27. We had a small kitchen w a stove, mini fridge, and a lot of space. The view was breathtaking especially since it snowed the night we arrived. The staff were helpful and breakfast was good. This is advertised as a 4 star, however the service and attention to detail from the team was not 4 star. Our room overall was clean, but there was hair in the bathtub. It is about a 15-20 minute cab ride from the Bariloche city center and this is in slow season. The spa was nice and the heated pool was a nice touch. HOWEVER AVOID THE MASSAGES. Not worth it.
George Z — Google review
We stayed in the hotel in April and it was almost empty that was actually really great so we enjoyed it to the fullest. Excellent location, great territory and spa services. I would recommend only to change coffee that is served during the breakfast and add some greens to the breakfast buffet( just some salad leaves).
Nataly K — Google review
The room was very spacious and the jacuzzi in the bathroom was nice. The fireplace was also great though we did not use it (first time is free, next ones are charged). The wife worked very well and the views to the lake are also nice. The parking was rather challenging to get to, but it was spacious. We did not know the rooms were in different buildings and the entrance to each rooms is almost from the outside so when it get chilly or cold it could be uncomfortable. The breakfast need some improvement in terms of the vegan options. The worst part of our stay was the spa area: it was crowded with kids and parents who do not know what the hygiene is! People just get there from skiing all in dirty clothes and just jump into the pool. Too much noise and dirty skiing clothes all around the spa area. There was no hotel's staff to control or check on it. Very limited staff who spoke English throughout the hotel, only at the reception.

Really enjoyed out stay here had a big room with kitchen living room and big separate bedroom. The man on the desk was great also with fantastic English (sorry forgot your name) and was very knowledgeable about local area and Argentina in general. Nice pool and spa which was very refreshing after a days trip. Breakfast was great you can ask for eggs and they are cooked fresh, the restaurant was not open due to the time of year but was not clear when we originally booked. I guess the main downside is the distance from the town about 7km but taxi into town was ARS200 fixed price so not a big cost.

Nestled in the heart of San Carlos de Bariloche, the Sheraton Bariloche Hotel offers a seamless blend of alpine charm and modern luxury. Overlooking the breathtaking Nahuel Huapi Lake, this 4-star hotel boasts elegant rooms with private bathrooms and picturesque views of the water and mountains. Guests can indulge in a range of leisure activities including spa treatments, a well-equipped gym, and a relaxing hot tub.
So I walked in on my last day in town during slow season and wanted a spa day. From the second I arrived, I was treated like royalty. The two darling girls at the front desk gave me info for the spa and walked me up. From there the three women at the spa helped me choose a combo (1 hour massage + 3 hour day pass for about $70), in which they called in a masseuse for my friend and I to have massages at the same time, they prepared the outdoor jacuzzi for us and we enjoyed it a ton. Showers were hot and place was immaculate. After that, we went down to the restaurant and Paco greeted us and gave great service. Would return! Don’t miss this.

We had a great stay at Sheraton Bariloche! It’s centrally located. The staff and the service was wonderful. Solid breakfast buffet and the restaurant is great for dinner. The rooms were a bit dated, and had to constantly request body wash and shampoo. But, it’s a great place to stay overall.
Vishal I — Google review
Beautiful views, well-located (walking distance from lake, shops, restaurants), very friendly staff. The lobby is lovely and cozy, we spent a couple afternoons there sitting by the roaring fireplace with some drinks. Our room was clean and very warm, too warm at times! We had to open the window most of the time to let the cool air in. The bathroom seemed a little run down and that's where it became clear the hotel might be in need of some renovation. Leaky taps, stains on the walls, the shower doesn't close all the way. Nothing serious, but you expect more for the price. The main issue we had at the Sheraton Bariloche was the noise. We stayed there right as the winter season was beginning so there still weren't that many guests; I dread to think what it must be like in high season. Lots of loud door slamming, noisy guests walking down the hallways. You could hear every sneeze, toilet flush, phone alarms going off in the morning. One night a family in the next room were playing in their room until midnight, making banging noises, laughing and talking. It's as if they were in our room! No soundproofing at all. It's a shame because the hotel is otherwise lovely, but I don't think we would go back for this reason.

This hotel has an extremely nice view of the lake. It’s also well located within center of downtown. I like the location and their gym and spa. The swimming pool and Japanese Jacuzzi were awesome too. The rooms are outdated and things look old and cheap. Even the bottles for shower gel are made of really cheap material and is not easy to use. The toilet was making sounds after flushing. Overall felt like it needs renovation. I was here in December and there were so many kids in the streets at night partying so you might hear some noise at night.
Hussein A — Google review
First and last time staying here. The lobby is nicely remodeled. But that’s where the niceties end. The rooms are several decades overdue for a remodel. Not very clean. More reminiscent of a hostel or motel 6. The bed is by far the most uncomfortable bed I have ever had in a Marriott property. I’d stay anywhere but this place if I make it back to Patagonia.

Went to the Sheraton for the spa service and LOVED it. Beautiful views of the water and great massages and facilities. Great jacuzzi and pool. Would go back!

PROS: Indoor pool Ourdoor not tub, has to be reserved Breakfast buffet. 3/5. No omlette or egg station, limited hot items, no cappuccino unless you want to buy. Good room cleaning. Nice view of the lake if you get lake view, but see below. CONS: NOISY!!! Hard big pillows on beds. Small cut fllat sheet for mattress comes off while you sleep. Coffee not hot from the big pot at the breakfast buffet Halls are noisy overnight, you hear everything. Kids partying at 1am next room to me, tried to call front desk to get security up, no answer from front desk. Hot water an issue big time. Early morning or early afternoon, have to let it run 10 minutes. On a Saturday night, bar across the street gets out at 4am, you will hear it! 29C today, rooms are HOT! No AC or fan. If you want to cool off the room with an open window, you will hear loud traffic and noisy kids getting out from the bars. You will also hear the 4:30am garbage truck. Super small bathroom. The Sheraton has a restaurant with a chimney stack from their big fireplace. The smell of smoke in the room is pervasive. It stinks after a while and impossible to get away from. Rooms are extremely dated, unlike the lobby that looks upgraded. Avoid at all costs IMO.
Steve G — Google review
Great service, nice rooms, good shower pressure, great lake views. Massage services was amazing and can be booked day of. Probably wouldn’t stay again though because of the following: Parking costs $15 per night and is a block and a half from the hotel. WiFi is useless and basically nonexistent in the rooms - had to go to first floor to use it each time. Super noisy at night in the street and no AC so you have to choose between being hot with closed windows or dealing with drunk people yelling from midnight to about 4am.

Hotel Cristal, located in the heart of San Carlos de Bariloche, is a low-key accommodation option that offers a range of amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel features modern rooms and is conveniently situated within walking distance of Cathedral of Lady of Nahuel Huapi and Civic Center Bariloche. Guests can enjoy the spa facilities including massages, body treatments, and facials, as well as an indoor pool. Additionally, there's a health club and an outdoor pool for recreational activities.
Stuff was super helpful and nice, thank you for your hospitality! The hotel menu was good and prices were cool. Pool is warm and has massage equipments. Location is amazing, you’re in the center of center. There is free parking, and you should try crepes in the breakfast buffet.
Hazal Ö — Google review
The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the main street of Bariloche where all the chocolate shops are and a close walk to the best bars and restaurants. The room had a pretty old feel but the main issue was the radiator in the bathroom would not turn off, so was blazing hot the entire time, and after I asked for assistance they weren't able to turn it off, I got around the heat traveling by keeping the windows open, but the cleaners would close them again and keep the bathroom door open during the day so the heat would buildup in the room again before coming back. Luckily there was a powerful fan provided. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special.
Josh D — Google review
The location and the reception team were great, but overall we expected more and were a bit disappointed. The room was nice but the pools were a bit cold, and the breakfast was with low quality products. Tired fruits and dry bread..
Chen G — Google review
The hotel is a good and economic choice for travellers who want to stay in the city centre of Bariloche. The size of the rooms is ok, although the interior and furniture is a bit outdated. Location, service and staff are above average.

Horrible experience! I had my booking canceled one day before my flight, they just sent out my reservation to another hotel without even having the curtesy of calling me and telling me about a "system problem" were they overbooked (my booking was done almost two weeks prior). They had the outrage to even say I was getting a discount, I discount from the original hotel (Cristal) yes, but not to the one I was being sent out to, actually more expensive. The sent out the message at 2pm, and all administrative staff leaves at 2, so when I try calling of course there was no one to help me, very frustrating! UPDATE: The other hotel I was sent to, was not a 4 star hotel, I was charged 3 TIMES MORE than what they said, trying to fix it now with my bank because the Kenton hotel has not only not been helpful but very rude. I am changing it from 1 star to 2 stars for the only reason that even though the staff at the Cristal was not able to deal with my situation in the best way possible they were never rude.
Natalia S — Google review
Lo peor hotel en Argentina! No parking, poor wi-fi, no air conditioning, thin walls, next to a loud street, small bathroom, poor customer service. Terrible hotel.
Richard E — Google review
We really enjoyed our 6 night stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and it is nice to be able to use the pool. The sauna is at an extra cost which was disappointing. The location is fantastic - bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstep, 5 minute walk to the centre civico and 2 minutes to the lake. There is WiFi but it can be slow. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The decor is a little dated but comparable to other hotels in Bariloche. We stayed for the ironman race so had a lot of equipment and coming and go with bikes etc. The staff were all incredibly helpful and considerate. They even put on a special early breakfast for race participants.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the principal. The staff is very kind and attentive. Comes with gym, climatized and roofed swimming pool (free) and spa, massages, sauna (not free). The breakfast is varied and tasty.

One of the best hotel I’ve been on. The location is perfect, with amazing views of playa Bonita in lake Huapi. The staff were so nice, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are luxurious with kinda old style, but it matches the environment and the views are unbeatable. The hotel has a really good restaurant, and the breakfast was amazing. From the hotel it’s really easy to go to circo chico to see the beautiful lakes of the area. Overall - highly recommended and I’ll definitely comeback

Stayed here for 3 nights in the master suite with Sauna. Overall a wonderful experience and probably one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely gardens and old style mountain lodge character. located outside of town in a peaceful area where you can walk down along the beach and to some nearby venues. Also a good based for exploring and the staff were helpful with recommendations and guidance. Breakfast was pleasant, with beautiful views. staff were very helpful at all times and service was all round very good. as constructive criticism - the room itself, whilst huge and luxurious, needs some repairs and maintenance. we awoke to no power on 2 occasions and our shower/steam room needed a deep clean as it had some mold in it + limescale build-up int he shower heads.
Reston G — Google review
I don't often take the time to write reviews but this place far exceeded our families expectations. Arriving during the tail end of the high season we were so very welcomed by the extremely service minded and kind front desk personnel. The location could not be more amazing with majestic views of the lake and mountains. The hotel is beautiful, rustic cabin like but with every comfort one would need, view, private spa, super spacious clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast is delicious nice and they have thought of every detail and so was dinner at their restaurant Stag, the best dining experience in Bariloche and we tried other restaurants aswell, this was top notch. We have 2 young kids aged 3 and 6 and the menu catered excellently to them aswell. The heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi was a huge relaxing touch and so was the private walk to access the lake. They are extremely service minded in this hotel and this comes from someone who has traveled a lot across the world and have high expectations on location/service/cleanliness/food. Look no further for your choice of hotel in Bariloche it does not get better than this we are completely relaxed and grateful and will certainly be back!

Nice hotel well located right on the edge of Lago Nahuel Huapi with amazing views. Quiet spot with good sized rooms. Breakfast is buffet style with a great selection and eggs cooked fresh to order. Staff are friendly too. I dropped a star as I wouldn’t call the hotel or the rooms luxury. They are nice enough but are in need of a bit of TLC and a refresh in places. Very comfortable bed though!
Louise — Google review
An absolutely wonderful hotel! Great location, the view is incredible, the rooms are cozy and spacious. Beds are comfy and our bathroom came with a sauna, steam room feature and jacuzzi. Alejandra at the front desk was super helpful for whatever we needed and we did a fun dinner at Little stag, their treehouse restaurant. The food was surprisingly high end. Highly recommend!

El Casco Art Hotel in Bariloche is a refined and elegant property that reopened in 2007 with a focus on modern Argentine art. The hotel features spacious rooms with views of Lake Nahuel Huapi and Mount Otto, an upscale restaurant offering classic dishes like the Tarte Tatin de Tomate, and two bars for guests to unwind. Additionally, the full-service spa provides various treatments for relaxation.
We stayed for 5 days, we were delighted with the service, amenities and most importantly the magnificent view of the lake. The reception and concierge were extremely helpful and had everything we could have possibly needed at our disposal. Breakfast is excellent. The hotel is very tranquil and worth a visit anytime in Bariloche, we will certainly be back.

Excellent hotel! Beautiful art pieces everywhere. Serene view of the lake. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the El Casco Art Hotel in Bariloche for four nights. The hotel is beautiful, with art everywhere, including in the rooms. The location is great, right on the lake, but a few kilometers out of the core downtown area. There is an unheated indoor/outdoor pool, which we tried but it was a little too brisk for the fall weather. The hotel includes a spa with a hot tub, that you can reserve for free, and soak out some of the aches and pains from hiking and sightseeing. The breakfast is excellent, and was include in our room rate. We had originally booked three nights, but due to some changes in our plans, we extended for an additional night, which was no problem, plus we got the same discounted rate for the fourth night, and not the rack rate for a same day reservation. I would definitely stay there again.

Just popped into the restaurant for dinner. I was told the hotel was full so there might not be room but the gentleman at the front was kind enough to call for me and they were able to give me a table. Wait staff very nice, loved the veg "cake" starter, beautiful vegetables and a veg paté over a vibrant green puree.

The views and quiet were restful. An in-house spa with jacuzzi & massages were outstanding. Personnel very helpful & pleasant. Especially the hawk that landed on our balcony each evening & morning?
Marjorie R — Google review
Great views and lovely location. The hotel feels a bit like a gallery and for that I think it doesn't give off the warm Patagonian vibe that is often expected in the region. The restaurant food was good but breakfast was a bit disappointing. I don't pin this directly on the hotel though as finding any type of vegan or Celiac option that isn't a juice saturated fruit salad is very difficult in Argentina. They had soy milk so that was a plus!

Fabulous location next to the lake. We had a ground floor lake view with access to the garden and lake. Room was clean with a comfortable bed and lovely sheets. The place is a bit tired in places, I suspect it’s a struggle to upgrade with such high inflation. Staff were super and breakfast was great. The bar is pricey but you’re rewarded with amazing views. The pool is very nice; the jacuzzi was out of action which was a shame. And we loved the pool, table football and table tennis. A lovely touch. To improve…please turn off all the piped music! It was everywhere at all times with different music in different places. It spoils the peace and tranquility of the place. My ears hurt! Secondly the bathroom needs hooks and rails for towels please. We had to drape wet towels over cupboard doors.

• 🛏️ ROOM: • Room type: Our superior double matrimonial room was enormous, though a bit dated. • Bed: It had a King size bed with a firm mattress and a choice of two pillows, one firm and one soft. • Amenities: The room included a large flat-screen TV and a mini-fridge. The Wi-Fi was only so-so. • Issues: An unnecessary divan made it difficult to walk to the bathroom. Half of the heaters weren't working, but the room was not cold. Additionally, there were humidity stains on the walls behind the curtains. • 🚽 BATHROOM: • Cleanliness: The bathroom was not clean. Upon arrival, there was a long hair near the sink that stayed there for all 5 days of our stay. • Shower/Bathtub: It had two sinks and a whirlpool bathtub. However, when the whirlpool was turned on, a rotten smell came out, so we decided not to use it. • Basic products: The hotel provided shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, body cream, and bath salts. • 🍳 MEALS: • Included: Breakfast was included and was incredibly complete. • Variety and quality: The breakfast changed daily, with a wide variety of hot, cold, sweet, and savory options. They even provided disposable mate sets. We loved the breakfast. • Service: The waiters were incredibly attentive and professional. • 🏊 COMMON AREAS: • Pool/Spa/Gym: The hotel has a heated indoor pool with a spa area. • Terrace/Garden: There are great outdoor terraces to enjoy the lake views. • Other: The hotel has reading areas next to the fireplace, a piano, a pool table, and a work area with computers. All areas offer unbeatable views of Lake Nahuel Huapi and the mountains. • 👨‍💼 SERVICE: • Front Desk: The front desk staff was very attentive. • Daily cleaning: The room cleaning staff was attentive. • Other: The waiters were very attentive, with a special mention for the Argentine waiter who has worked in the Canary Islands, who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and fun to talk to. • 🚗 TRANSPORT AND ACCESS: • Strategic location: The hotel is located in a great spot, just a 10-minute walk from the Civic Center. • 🔐 SECURITY: • Safe box: There is a safe in the room. • Access control: The rooms use an electronic key. Final Verdict • ✔ Best thing: The incredibly complete breakfast, the unbeatable lake and mountain views, and the friendly and helpful staff. • ❌ What to improve: The cleanliness of the bathroom, the unpleasant smell from the whirlpool, the humidity stains in the room, and the inconsistent Wi-Fi. • 🌟 Secret tip: Don't miss the breakfast; it's a true highlight of the stay.
MARTIN T — Google review
The views from my room were lovely. Unfortunately, that was the only positive comment I can make about my stay. Overall, the hotel was poorly maintained with no air ventilation in the rooms, the room was always hot, pot holes in the floors, and a cracked bathtub. The male staff at the front desk were incredibly rude and dismissive. I left my health insurance card in the light slot. When I returned to my room after housekeeping was done, my health insurance card was gone. I asked a male attendant at the front desk to please mail it to me if found. He responded that the hotel would not be able to mail my card back to me since I live in the US. He blamed me for leaving my card in the room to begin with and appeared angry that I even asked. Therefore, removing private property by their staff was permissible since I shouldn't have left my card in the room? SMH Never again! Definitely, not worth the money!
Maria D — Google review
high expectations for Cacique Inacayal based on the beautiful photos and positive reviews, but our experience was incredibly disappointing. First and foremost, the moment we walked into our room, we were hit with an awful smell—like mildew mixed with some kind of chemical cleaner that barely masked whatever was causing the odor. It was unbearable. We immediately asked the front desk if we could move to another room, but the staff was shockingly rude and dismissive. They told us they were fully booked and that there was nothing they could do, even though we could clearly see other guests checking in after us. The attitude of the staff was consistently unpleasant throughout our stay. Every interaction felt like we were inconveniencing them, and they seemed completely uninterested in helping guests. The hotel markets itself as a luxury stay, but the reality is far from it. The rooms are outdated, the hallways are dimly lit, and nothing looks as polished as it does in the online photos. It was a huge letdown. Our room was also torn up, had bugs in the room, and had black marks all over the floors and walls. Another issue—the hotel advertises free breakfast daily, yet when we ordered eggs, we were charged extra. When we brought it up to the staff, they just shrugged and said only certain items were included, but this was never mentioned anywhere. It felt misleading and cheap for a place that claims to be high-end. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. Between the terrible smell in the room, the rude staff, the misleading advertising, and the complete lack of customer service, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other hotels in Bariloche—save yourself the frustration and book elsewhere.

We checked out of this hotel on Friday, 12/13/ 24 after a 4 night stay. The location was fabulous as was the breakfast each day. We had a room with a lovely view that overlooked the lake. The bad news: The staff was unfriendly and the hotel needs to be renovated. The carpets are frayed throughout the hotel and hallways were dark and had a sour smell. Both the steam room and hot tub were closed for repairs during our entire stay. The pool was open, though.

We stayed 3 nights at Cacique during the winter. The location and view from our room was phenomenal. I recommend upgrading to the superior room so you get a view. The service was excellent and the bar lounge and restaurant were solid with great ambiance. The beds were extremely comfortable. We did notice some wear and tear in the room wallpaper and closet which was noted in another review; however, that did not detract from getting a great nights rest. Our room was also very quiet and we didn’t hear a bunch of hallway noise. It looks like they are investing in the property a bit so I’d expect the room wear and tear will be addressed.

Great and spacious rooms with the view on the lake. We ordered massage, it was amazing, one of the best in my life, but the spa room is quite old. Breakfast is basic. Location is ok, but not comfortable for pedestrians. Be sure not to drink bottled water from the room, it’s not for free, and expensive.

Great hotel with scenic views, the staff were excellent (Nicolas in particular). The location is perfect to adventure from or go into the town for dinner (there are also restaurants within walking distance).

I wish Google reviews had 0 stars. - The rooms were dirty and not cleaned upon check-in. (Dirty sheets, tables, hair on every furniture) - The heating malfunctions. Room temperature reached close to 30 degrees Celsius at some point at night during the month of May which is not too cold. At other times, it failed to kick in and the room was extremely cold due to poor insulation. - Window mechanisms are broken so you can’t open some windows. Same applies to the toilet flush. The toilets are so bad that they can’t even flush a mosquito. - Breakfast quality is extremely low, plates and cutlery missing so we utilized bowls. It is very difficult to mess up coffee in Argentina and this hotel succeeds in it. - They sell views only. The views come however with a road that is always busy and loud due to the aforementioned insulation. - Front desk is as capable as the Argentinean government when it comes to inflation.

The room was very dirty. When we complained that, amongst other things, the bed sheerts were stained, they brought us new ones to change ourselves (!) Second and thirds days the heating was not working. Breakfast was very basic, would’ve expected more for the price of the hotel. Unfortunately the response from management wasn’t useful or appropriate. Very disappointing.

Very comfortable suite, well decorated with everything needed. Gorgeous views. The kitchenette in the room was functional. Especially loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Shower good. A couple of minor annoyances with the room such as the TVs not working (not set up properly) and no aircon so it was quite hot at times.

The hotel has a truly beautiful layout, with thoughtful design and spacious rooms that offer gorgeous views. The beds were very comfortable. However, some aspects of our stay left me feeling underwhelmed, considering the price. The property seemed understaffed during our visit. It was some times difficult to find someone to assist with questions, and during meal times, the staff appeared overwhelmed. That said, some of the staff were particularly helpful and provided outstanding service. WiFi was spotty and slow. The childcare service advertised on their website turned out to be prohibitively expensive. The dining experience was disappointing. The menu was very limited, with only 2–3 entrees available during our stay, and they were out of several other items. The food quality and portions did not justify the high prices. The pool and spa hours (11 AM–9 PM) were also inconvenient, especially given that these amenities are a key feature of the property. On the day we chose to stay in, the outdoor section of the pool was not opened, which was frustrating as it left little else to do on-site. We ultimately decided to spend our other daylight hours elsewhere. Families should note that this hotel is not particularly family-friendly. While some accommodations, like providing a crib, were appreciated, there are limited activities for toddlers, and many items in the hotel are fragile. The design seems more suited for couples or adults. Overall, while the hotel has potential as a romantic, one-night getaway for couples, it fell short of expectations for a longer stay, especially for families. At its current price point, the experience did not match the value.

Beautiful place on the San Pedro península. Small boutique hotel, with incredible staff, very welcoming and dedicated. The views are beautiful, you are close to the lake, and the rooms have this stone work that make you feel submerge with the surrounding. The only thing is it's far away from the city. Thing you need to consider. Definitely I will go back

One of our favourite hotels. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Tranquil setting, beautifully finished rooms and common space. Beautiful setting in nature. Detailed stone work and interesting art to enjoy. Highly recommend that you try this hotel and boutique restaurant (with exceptional food )

We absolutely loved our stay at Aldebaran. Everyone from the reception to the lovely housekeeping made our stay exceptional. Such a great smiley team, beautiful setting, great food, comfortable beds. We’ll be back

This is a charming, small hotel, nicely furnished with excellent food and helpful staff. You definitely need a car to get to it since it is off the main highway, on an unpaved road. It is a 40 min drive into the centre of Bariloche.
Alison W — Google review
The Aldebaran was away from the traffic and noise of the downtown area for San Carlos de Bariloche and the perfect escape that my wife and I were looking for. We spent four days/three nights at the hotel in early February. Hidden down some dirt roads, the hotel backs up to the lake and provides great views of the lake and mountains. All of the staff were extremely nice and helpful, the location was beautiful, and the food was delicious. We generally ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was included, and dinners were not expensive and the food was great. The hotel is a short drive from many hiking trails and other options for outdoor adventures. We opted to hike each day we were there. There are multiple trails that start from a public parking lot right around the corner from Llao Llao and there are trails of varying difficulty so that anyone can feel comfortable hiking. The Cerro Llao Llao trial offers the best views, but requiries climbing up some steep inclines. Because of the time of year we were visiting, it stayed light out until almost 10pm, so we were able to enjoy long days of adventures. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a flight out of town, and the hotel allowed us to run all of the checkout paperwork the night before and they made sure that breakfast items were out and ready for us before we had to leave so that we could get something to eat before travelling. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are planning on visiting the area. I would strongly recommend renting a car if you choose to stay here. This will allow you to easily seek out all that the Bariloche area has to offer. The hotel also has free parking.

I have never experienced this before in 30+ years of travel - but when I got to this hotel, and particularly in my room, I had a terrible allergic reaction to the point where breathing was becoming difficult. I arrived and started feeling this; then took a walk and felt better, upon return from the walk I tried staying in the room with the window wide open. After a couple of hours it was clear I needed to leave before it became severe - my breathing was already impacted. At first I thought the hotel would help out with this as I had a non-cancellable booking, (they were very kind in assisting with finding an alternative) but ultimately they did not help financially and so I walked away from a pre-paid 3 night stay. YMMV. I can't imagine this is common, but wow. 1,000 USD error. One other thing. The hotel is nice, but I would only consider it (aside from the allergy issue) if you have a car. It's pretty isolated, it takes 30 minutes to even walk to the main road, and that's a walk down a dusty road.

Nestled in the heart of San Carlos de Bariloche, the Kenton Palace Hotel offers a serene escape with stunning views of Nahuel Huapi Lake. This upscale retreat is just steps away from the Civic Center and Museum of Patagonia, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Guests can unwind at the hotel's luxurious spa, which features a sauna, Scottish showers, and various beauty treatments. The inviting lobby houses a piano bar where you can enjoy live music while sipping on your favorite drink.
Great location close to main streets and best hotel breakfast of our trip. Only downside was the ridiculously expensive laundry service - around 35 pesos for each item of underwear and 185 pesos for a pair of jeans, luckily there are cheap alternatives nearby on the main streets of the town.

They actively try to scam you by leaving you a water bottle in the room and then hiding the price tag under it, trying to hide the absurd price. Despite being a decent hotel, this experience just left a bad impression of the stay.

I stayed here as part of a tour. I found it to be a nice hotel and a pleasant experience. The only thing that wasn't so great it was the pool/spa seemed a bit rundown.

Four stars?!!!! Please, what a joke. Water bottle in the room that you have to pay for, stifling hot rooms with nooption to cool it down, rundown and small spa, no restaurant besides for so-so breakfast including dishwater coffee. Good location - but that's it
Andrew W — Google review
great location. Simon waiter at the hotel restaurant was very pleasant. Breakfast not so great. Rooms was ok but can be noisy at night when people come in and close the door.
D D — Google review
The room was nice at first with No parking and the hotel is next to a gas station with cars noise all the time. Moreover there is a club/bar with a band playing until very late in the AM hours. The noise kept us up at night which this alone made it a 2 star experience. The shower/bed was standard. Overall for this price it was a bad experience as we wanted a good night rest after a long day of touring the surrounding beautiful Bariloche. I’d recommend people to stay a few streets up or in a different hotel that is more insulated to noise.

Service: When I arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm, the desk person was on the phone and I waited around 15 minutes before she finished with that call. After the call, she kept typing up something, so I assumed she was busy and would get to me shortly. Another 15 minutes passed and she still seemed busy, so I asked, “Check in?” which finally made her acknowledge I had been standing in front of her for 30 minutes to try to check in. The breakfast is very, very bland. The rooms have no A/C, so you have to keep your window open to cool room. No problem with that except that there is a club that stays open until 3am very close by that blasts obnoxious music throughout the night. The rooms are also just disappointing in general given the price point and the bathrooms are poorly ventilated. The best part about this hotel is the location. It is very centrally located to a lot of the coolest restaurants, markets, the bus station, etc.
Lombremic — Google review
A disappointing experience. The view from my room was a lot of air conditioning vents which resulted in the air coming to my window not being very fresh. It was also very noisy. Likewise, my room had a mini bar but the noise it made was unbelievable - it was extremely loud. I could also clearly hear music from outside as well as other guests. The room overall felt run down and in need of renovation. However, the location is good and the staff is friendly!

4 star hotel seems appropriate. Very nice hotel. Conveniently located right next to 2 bike rental companies for doing circuito chico. Incredible view from the room. Very nice pool and hot tub. Both are indoor and heated. Breakfast was very nice. Great eggs and a good spread. Gorgeous view from the restaurant. Improvements: There are many things in the room that all come at cost (shampoo, conditioner, drinks). It would be nice if these were either free or weren’t in the rooms, to avoid confusion. When we walked in, they sent us up to the 3rd floor with our heavy bags, assuming we wanted the restaurant. For a 4 star hotel, I assume better service; assume that people walking in with baggage are probably there for the hotel.

Nestled in the serene Arelauquen community, Arelauquen Lodge, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, San Carlos de Bariloche is a luxurious retreat that invites you to immerse yourself in both relaxation and adventure. With its stunning views of Gutierrez Lake and the surrounding mountains, this high-end hotel offers an array of amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, and a well-stocked wine cellar.
Expect great scenery, attentive service, and spacious rooms. While the facility and furniture is a tad rustic, it adds to the theme of feeling like you're staying at a lodge. Didn't utilize the spa, pool or gym. The restaurant food was a bit pricey though was good, and I certainly enjoyed the Pisco Sour. During our stay, we were privileged with a Caracara bird visit. We had a car accident prior to arriving, and the front desk was super helpful with resolving it. Additionally, our room had a mini kitchen, and the front desk not only brought up a frying pan and spatula, but also a little cup of cooking oil. Admittedly, my friend booked the room using points, so its possible my feelings would be different had we paid in cash. Still, it was an extremely enjoyable and wonderful stay. Oh, the website says there isn't any parking, but there's plenty of free parking. And a car is an absolute must.

Location: unbeatable. Such a terrific scenery. Although a bit disappointed to find out that visitors are lot supposed to walk around the gated community (only drive around). Food: low quality and offering. Very high prices yet. The coffee is undrinkable. Facilities: room is spacious and very luminous. The view is outstanding. Furniture is a bit old but fine. The gym is super super small, the jacuzzi was dirty. Filter probably is not working. Staff: excellent. Very cordial and nice. Also helpful… they do their best considering facilities and food availability. All in all, I would 100% go back to Arelauquen Country Club but I would not go back to the Lodge. It is definitely not a 5⭐️ hotel.

Disappointing Stay with Potential for Improvement I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the staff was friendly and welcoming, my overall experience left much to be desired. The property has undeniable potential, but it seems like the management is doing just the bare minimum to keep things running. Here's a breakdown of my stay: Car Service
I arranged car service through the hotel, expecting a reliable and comfortable ride. Unfortunately, the vehicle that arrived was a small, very old, and dirty car that was clearly in need of some serious maintenance. It was beat-up, with worn-out seats and a generally shabby appearance. Not what I was expecting for a hotel of this caliber. Golf Booking
The hotel is located right next to a golf course, so I was hopeful that they would help secure a tee time. However, despite making the request well in advance, the hotel failed to book me a round of golf as promised. It was especially frustrating because the course is literally next door, so this was a missed opportunity that could’ve easily been managed. Room Quality
The room was a major letdown. It was outdated, with furnishings that looked like they hadn't been updated in years. There were clear signs of neglect, with peeling paint, and a general feeling that the room was in disrepair. The bathroom was especially disappointing, with issues like cracked tiles. It’s clear that the property is long overdue for some basic maintenance and updating. Gym Facilities
The gym was tiny and cramped, with very little equipment. The few pieces of equipment they had were at least 15-20 years old, and there was a significant water leak on the floor, making the area feel unsafe and unkempt. For a hotel that’s trying to position itself as a premium property, this was a serious letdown. Restaurant
The food in the hotel’s restaurant was below average at best. The meals were bland, underseasoned, and felt like they were thrown together without much care. To make matters worse, the tablecloths were dirty, which gave the entire dining experience an unprofessional, unclean vibe. This is a simple area where a little attention to detail could make a big difference, but it wasn’t up to standard. Staff:
On a positive note, the staff was friendly and accommodating. They were always polite and tried to be helpful when I had concerns. Unfortunately, no matter how pleasant the staff, they couldn’t make up for the issues with the property itself. Overall
This hotel has the potential to be something truly lovely with its prime location and warm staff. However, it feels like the property management is doing the bare minimum to get by. From the outdated rooms and neglected amenities to the lackluster dining experience, it was clear that the hotel needs a serious overhaul in both maintenance and service. I hope the management invests in improvements because with the right attention, this could be a great place to stay. But as it stands, I can’t recommend it.
Mollie H — Google review
Big picture: this just isn’t a 5-star hotel as advertised and there’s no reason to stay here unless you’re golfing. The facility was disappointingly in some disrepair and the service was a bit chaotic. I think the staff was doing their best in the circumstances and a lot of this falls on Marriott’s poor management. $25 for a shabby breakfast buffet. Pool wasn’t kept clean. Jacuzzi was broken. Gym is tiny. They wouldn’t even give us fresh water in the room after the first night. Security was great but hassled us when we first drove up and the gated community adds about 10 minutes to any drive each way. Great view from the west side and the room was comfortable/clean but you have to curb your expectations of the facilities.
Colin K — Google review
Amazing hotel with excellent rooms and very friendly staff. Thank you to Agustin, Sesilia and Nadia for the great hospitality and Sabrina for the precise restaurant service. I can be a bit annoying coming in and out the private neighbourhood, but it is worth it. The hotel is so quiet and immersed in an unbelievable paradise. (Take a room with a view you will not regret it) I will be back.

Rooms are quite spacious and well appointed. Excellent views. Food options limited. Breakfast spread modest. Bar service excellent. Very quiet and serene environment. English usage is sparse, though its not a deal breaker. Location is remote - the nearest supermkt a distance away.

This property should be closed or a new manager should be appointed. It is a shame for this Tribute Portfolio brand. This was a family trip with two kids, one 6 and one 2 y/o. They do not have enough staff at the restaurant in the morning or for dinner. It is unbelievably how only one person run the show in the breakfast and of course cannot handled it. They are out of stock of most of the main entries in the menu son in three nights we have to have same food, The servers mentioned that they should get new merchants in few days!!! The room lock was not working. We have to go down about five times to replace de room keys. Having the keys at the door and no having access to the to the room 5 times is not acceptable. The toilet was not working and beed to report it twice before they send some ine to partially fix it. In addition we were running out of water three times! And worse than that, no any manager or senior staff showed up to apologize or to explain what was going on here. And of course we will be charged the full high rate! By the way the servers did a great job trying to be kind polite and professionals. So here the problem is management, no the staff. Overall situation is Really a shame for Marriot International.
Carlos S — Google review
This review takes into account the hotel’s price and its 5-star rating. Hotel located in an excellent area with rooms overlooking the lake and golf course. Spacious rooms equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. Some cutlery is provided, but the kitchen lacks essentials, making it challenging to utilize. While there’s a kettle, coffee or tea is missing. The shower pressure is excellent. However, there’s a broken smoke detector, and room furnishings could be more premium. Common areas, such as the pool and jacuzzi, lack maintenance and were not clean. The pool water was not adequately heated, and some areas needed a fresh coat of paint. The sauna is in good working order, but the gym could use improvement. The breakfast could be better for a five-star hotel; it feels quite basic right now. In addition, we encountered payment issues – the room was mistakenly charged twice. Resolving it required numerous exchanges. On a positive note, the service in the bar/café area was excellent. It’s unfortunate because the place is beautiful and has great potential. Keep in mind that Uber and Cabify services are limited in this area.

(Translated by Google) I went in the week of Sept (mid). I booked 5 nights for the two-room apartment. I paid a lot! But waaaay too far from what I actually encountered. The infrastructure of the place is eighties. And I had a problem with the toilet flush. They fixed it on time and we slept with the noise of a "waterfall" all night. When we complained, they responded "Administration will see," and it stayed there. There was no one who was responsible. And the quality of the staff to serve was really very poor, they always took responsibility and "we'll see." I felt cheated. I don't recommend this place at all, there are better options for sure. Oh and I had to complain so they could send me the invoice... be careful with that too. Me sentí estafado. NH Bariloche Edelweiss is a 4-star hotel located in the heart of San Carlos de Bariloche, offering spacious and bright rooms with views of Nahuel Huapi Lake and snow-covered mountains. The property provides ski storage services, a gym, and an indoor pool with stunning lake views. Guests can enjoy room service, a restaurant, and a bar on-site.
Reception staff were excellent. The room was very comfortable. I would have scored a 5 if there were more electric wall outlets to charge the increasing number of electronic devices that need charging. The location is great for exploring the city.

Good hotel part of NH group, on the main road in San Carlos de Bariloche. Unfortunately no view of the amazing Lago Nahuel Huapi from the room. The lakefront is somewhat downhill from the road on which most hotels sit. Bariloche is an extremely popular destination with many honeymooners flocking here from all parts of Latin America. In front of the town hall one can while away time just people watching with magicians, jugglers etc peddling their wares. There is also a market selling Bric a brac under a large marquee. The lake has a busy small pebbled beach with Ibises looking for worms.

The hotel was built in 1970, and last renovated in 2009. The lobby, restaurant, and bar appear to be maintained very nicely. The same can’t be said about the rest of the hotel- the hallways, the rooms, the room bathrooms are in desperate need of repairs, maintenance, and renovations. The only thing in the rooms that appear to have been replaced are the mattresses, which are quite comfortable. The service is very good, and friendly.

Good Modern option in a historic town The hotel is a solid option for those looking for a central location, modern comforts, and good service. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and the amenities cater to both business and leisure travelers. However, while the location and comfort were top-notch, some areas could benefit from a bit more attention. Especially the recreational facilities like the gym need a serious makeover! LOCATION:One of the best features of NH Hotel Edelweiss is its location. Situated right in the heart of Bariloche, it offers easy access to the main streets, shops, and the stunning lakeside views. The town’s charming center, with its many restaurants and attractions, is just a short walk away, making it very convenient for exploring. If you're looking to enjoy both nature and urban experiences, the location is perfect. However, if you're looking for complete tranquility, the busy area might be a little too noisy for some. DINE + DRINK: Didnt have a chance to try the F &B to comment on them ROOM: We stayed in Room 401, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Nice partial view of the Lake from the windows ; AIR-CON: No Cooler in the room and only heater, but they do have a fan if it gets too war; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good quality Toiletries by NH brand FACILITIES: The gym is of very poor quality, with barely any weights and just a few cardio machines. They do have an indoor swimming pool and a dry sauna SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special Shout-out to the front office person who enhanced our stay. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Medium-sized Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in PREDOMINANTLY IN SPANISH ONLY!

Located in Bariloche, La Cascada by DON is a great retreat with stunning views of Nahuel Huapi National Park. Amazing hotel!!! The entire staff was incredible! They were very hospitable and took great care of us. The hotel itself was very well kept. The views from the rooms are breathtaking. I can’t wait to come back one day. They also were extremely helpful with getting us taxis with great rates when we were out and about in the area. Great for English speakers! We stayed at room 109, it’s supposed to be the highest l-ranked room type at this hotel. The room is nice but you cannot sleep. Noises come from everywhere until late night and then early morning. Floors and ceilings are wood made + old doors slammed shuts will make your stay a very expensive nightmare! There is plenty of options in Bariloche, cheaper and better for sure
Susana N — Google review
The bottom floor rooms are advertised as having a deck. What you have is access to a common use deck, meaning that if you want privacy, you no longer have a view. Edit to add that one day we had a parade of around 14 people clearly not staying at the hotel walking on"our" deck and starting at us as we were on display... Also, things you would expect of a 4star hotel were missing, like robes, slippers, and even safety measures like wall handles on the very slippery, glass enclosed shower. The in-site restaurant had a limited menu and the type of ambience clashed with the hotel. It was pretentious and the some of the wait-staff overly friendly to the point of being obnoxious. The place itself is gorgeous and the hotel staff very accommodating. We had issues with our room (lock wouldn't work) and were moved to a different room the following day. The two rooms were completely different quality wise even if they were in the same category. Of the five days we spent there, 3 the elevator was out of order..

Disappointed with this hotel. The hotel is in a great spot, but is too expensive for quality of room. We had the room with a "private balcony and lake view". It is neither private, nor had a lake view. The balcony is more a terrace separated by a few plant pots from your neighbour. The terrace is adjacent to the hotel's communal outdoor space, where a seating area looks straight down onto you. The lake is almost entirely invisible from an enormous bush in the room we were in. At 184cm tall, I could only just see the lake stood up. Sat in the outdoor seating you'll see nothing. Only in the room photoed can you see the lake, so I guess we were unlucky, paying the same for the room without a view.

We loved our stay at la Cascada Hotel. Beautiful views and very good breakfast. Staff was also very helpful. We forgot some personal belongings and they sent it to our next destination. Many thanks, we truly appreciate it!

We booked this hotel for 5 nights. Paid 2.5 million peso by cash. I had been asking for the official receipt for this payment everyday for 5 days straight, but unfortunately I didn’t receive it even by the time we checked out. It seems like part of money is going illegaly past the box office. Very poor breakfast selection, which is gone by 9am and not placed again after. Massage is 40 minutes, but you pay for 50. Receptionists are not helpful at all. To sum up, I don’t recommend this hotel, pass it through…

Absolutely appaling direct reservation process. Only one recommendation: DO NOT RESERVE THERE! I was quoted an attractive nightly rate in pesos. At the payment step, I was informed, it was non-refundable and needed to be prepaid. As usual in Argentina, the rate was then displayed in US Dollars. I wrote them an email that I do not want to be charged in Dollars, but in Pesos, to which no reply was available. Unlike every other hotel I have stayed and booked in Argentina, La Cascada, did not transform the dollar rate back into pesos at the moment of charging my credit card. Rather, they are using a foreign payment processing provider, to charge in US Dollars directly. This is both illegal in Argentina, and deceitful. Reservations department doesn't reply to emails (whcen they aren't about new reservations) and front line staff sort of shrugs "it's not us, you need to talk to reservations". This is the only hotel I know, which managed to already produce a dissatisfied customer, before even stepping foot on their grounds.

It seems that last time this hotel was renovated was back in the early 1970's. Everything was old and weary, floor was uneven, lights were dull, towels were very thoroughly used and cushions were virtually stinking. The only good thing in this hotel was the staff - two young men at the reception who spoke fluent English (not a common thing in this area) and were very helpful and very sympathetic. It's a real shame owners do nothing to avoid this situation, given the potential this place has.

Nestled conveniently next to the Civic Center, Hotel Monte Claro in San Carlos de Bariloche is a delightful retreat that boasts 81 rooms with stunning views of the lake and mountains. Just a short stroll from the iconic Cathedral of Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi and within easy reach of local attractions like the Casino, this hotel offers an inviting indoor pool, a rejuvenating spa, and a cozy restaurant. Guests rave about its immaculate cleanliness and spacious accommodations that promise comfort after a day of exploration.
The hotel was what exactly what you’d expect, everything clean, nice ambience and the swimming pool including the jacuzzis were really pleasant. Breakfast had good options and the night bar was cheap and perfect for quick time needs. The biggest plus is the staff, very friendly and incredibly helpful, through that we were a lot more flexible. Especially big thanks to the receptionist Facundo for that. All in all, very pleasant experience and perfect to come back after a day of experiencing Bariloche. 5 stars

(Translated by Google) We had the opportunity to stay at this hotel during a group trip organized by Noche y Día, and overall, the experience was very positive. The location is one of its greatest strengths: it's strategically located in the heart of Bariloche, steps from the main shopping centers, which makes any sightseeing, shopping, or dining experience extremely easy. The staff's service was excellent at all times. Both in the lobby and in the dining room/breakfast room, the staff was always cordial, professional, and very willing to address any concerns. The team's commitment to providing excellent guest service is truly evident. The half-board package was excellent. While dinner options were limited, the food served was of very good quality. It was the perfect way to end the day with a comforting meal. Another great point is the pool and whirlpool area. Everything was impeccably clean, with water at the perfect temperature and appreciated details, such as providing towels exclusively for the wet area, thus avoiding the need to use the ones in the room. The only area that could be improved would be the soundproofing. The hotel shares a building with another establishment geared toward hosting teenagers on graduation trips, which during peak season can make for a less-than-optimal rest due to the ambient noise they generate. This is important to consider if you plan to stay for several days. Importante a considerar si tenés pensado quedarte varios días.

Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and a hearty buffet breakfast to kickstart their day before exploring the nearby city center, just a kilometer away. The hotel features an indoor pool and fitness center for those looking to stay active during their stay.
Beautiful views, rooms are ok, clean, great pool and nice service.

It's in a lovely place but that's it. The staff are not friendly (apart from the night staff), it had no Internet and the person at reception didn't even bother to tell us... The lights in the room didn't work, they were eventually fixed but again the person at reception was just didn't seem to care much about it. The promised lake view was a sham, you could hardly see the lake. The heating in the room could not be controlled and the beds were not great. Very disappointing!

Beautiful view overlooking the lake. Very nice sitting room, bar, breakfast area. The property seems like it is falling apart. The carpets are a bit ragged and the rooms are a bit outdated. The pool is only indoors. The breakfast had a nice spread, but was honestly tasteless and not interesting. I think three stars for this hotel is on point.

Huemul Hotel, probably one of the best (if not the best) hotel in Bariloche. It has great views and it is very proximate to the city center. Unfortunately, since it works with MaxDream, it only admits students and the few adults that takes care of them. It is nontheless, a massive, spaceous and comfortable hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights during in the summer. It is a hotel with pretty standard/bare bones rooms with great access to the beach. My issue with it is that the breakfast is very lacking. Since there are not a lot of food options in the area, I think it is important to provide a good breakfast. There are no hot food items or super fresh fruit. The bananas looked aged. There are just a bunch of cookies and breads.

Staff are helpful and most (not all) speak good English, which was great for me. Breakfast was excellent, big and varied. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was nice. Downsides: the location is really far from center. It’s an Hour and a half walk! It is up on a big hill and if you are Walking, Google will direct you to go on a steep dirt path that is impossible to do with luggage. Sauna is only on if you ask them to “reserve” in advance- a disappointment for me on my last day. Pool was really way over-chemicaled my first day and I could hardly breathe for 5 minutes in the room, but I complained and they did fix it. But there is also a lot of black mold around the pool tiles and grout. I am very allergic to black mold so this was really disappointing. The stone/concrete/grout needs deep cleaning and to be properly sealed. The place has potential but some thjngs need tweaking.

This is good hotel to stay. Overall it is a good option its amenities make it more stayable. Food it barely ok. Rooms are not soundproff! and you can hear everything from the other rooms (trust me when I say everything). Another good point is the view, it is amazing. I would recommend this hotel specially for summer it has a lot of open spaces, to go and enjoy amenities you always have to cross 100m , -3 freezing cold in winter. Service in the hotel is just ok.

Nestled at the base of Patagonia's premier ski destination, GALILEO BOUTIQUE HOTEL offers a modern and luxurious mountain retreat. The hotel features chic rooms and suites, including king-size studios with jacuzzis and a spacious four-bedroom villa. What sets this hotel apart is its on-site astronomical observatory, complete with a Celestron telescope for stargazing experiences led by an amateur guide during the winter season.
We had a fabulous stay at The Galileo Hotel! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious with lovely natural light and beautiful rustic character. Short walk to the slopes and ski village. We highly recommend and can’t wait to return!
Katherine S — Google review
We stayed at Galileo in late August. Everything was wonderful. Our rooms were rustic - which I think is part of the charm - but spacious and immaculately clean. The food menu was surprisingly deep and interesting. All food is served in your room, but everything gets there hot. We had dinner there twice and very much enjoyed what we had. They also had interesting wines by the glass that they delivered to the room upon request. But the best part of the whole experience was the service. It simply could not have been friendlier, kinder, or more helpful. We considered Galileo a stand-out and if we go back to Cerro Catedral we will definitely stay there. I recommend it very highly.
David S — Google review
Very nice and cozy place. The service is excellent. There was only a little mix up for two mornings when i modified the breakfast order the night before and the kitchen wasnt notified. But that was minor. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Bathroom doesnt really have counter space but it is big enough. The walls are very thin between rooms and i could hear normal conversation next door. But i highly recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the ski area but far enough away from most of the crowds.
Trice J — Google review
First and foremost, I think it’s safe to say that this place is a bit overpriced; however, that may just be the standard when staying in Cerro Catedral vs. down in San Carlos or the neighboring towns. It’s also definitely worth noting that this review comes from someone who stayed at the Galileo during the worst snow season Bariloche has had in decades; therefore, we didn’t get to really experience the luxury of staying IN Cerro Catedral because we simply couldn’t ski. Now, with some of the good: - Staff is VERY friendly, attentive and always ready to help 24/7 - seriously, top notch service! They also speak a little English and Portuguese making communication a tad easier! - Rooms are clean, very spacious, and tidy (although perhaps a bit outdated) - Location - as mentioned - would be AMAZING if you could ski, just a quick walk up the hill and you’re at the resort base For the negatives: - Room definitely needed some fixes/updates. Our shower head needed replacing and the bathroom sink barely drained. - This might just be a Patagonia thing after rain but our water was literally brown when we first got there. It got better over time but definitely off putting, again, given the cost per night! - Breakfast delivered to the room seems like a nice touch; however, it was always delivered at different times and never really when we asked for it. Also it was a crapshoot on what we would get and whether or not the eggs would be hot or cold. - Walls are incredibly thin! We can literally hear the neighbors having a normal conversation next door perfectly. All in all, service and location is fantastic; everything else is average at best.
Zach C — Google review
A little over priced for the quality I would say more of a 3.5 star hotel. The good- the location is ideal and walking distance from the mountain. Breakfast is basic but served in your room. Loved the fire place in the room. Lots of restaurants walking distance The bad - Gustavo tricked us into believing the arranged transportation from the airport was included. In our email exchange I asked how much it costed and he avoided to answer the question then once arrived at the hotel he said it was typical to pay the driver for the gas and I asked how much he made up a number and said 45k so we paid then we look at costs of Ubers and it was only 15-20k through there. Felt very taken advantage of. Gustavo also tried to trick us into using his ski rental company said someone could pick us up to get equipment we luckily declined as we discovered there’s literally tons of rental places walking distance very convenient to the mountain- again another tactic to get us to spend extra time and money when not needed. We also requested Mountain View since it was our honeymoon but of course that was not honored - we had views of the convenient store across not great- rooms were nothing too impressive. Small showers only gave us 1 towels I had to request another. Walls are extremely thin you can hear everything next door- screaming kids at 7am wasn’t ideal. I’m not sure if I’d stay here again as I thought it was a little overpriced for the quality but honestly mainly bc of the staffs actions in tricking us into the things mentioned above.
Kristy D — Google review
This hotel is fine, but is not in a 4star hotel. The room is fine, and gets the job done, but is not ‘nice’. In theory the jacuzzi sounds lovely, but when your windows face an apartment building walkway and people can easily see into your room, a jacuzzi staring at closed blinds isn’t all that appealing. The bathrooms are small, especially the showers and there are no shelves in the bathroom to put face wash, toothpaste, etc on. further, they do not provide lotion, or towel replacements (we were there for 5 nights). We were also underwhelmed by the housekeeping and room maintenance. there was a screw on our bathroom floor that they just shoved against a wall instead of picking up and figuring out where it might go, the next day our door handle came off

Peace and luxury. The best luxury hotel and location in Bariloche. Moreover, it was our favorite stay over a three week Argentina trip. The attention to detail, lake views, spacious rooms, amenities, employees, owners, food + drinks — everything was best in class. The pool and sauna are pure luxury, photos cannot do it justice. We look forward to coming back for a longer stay in the future. Two nights is not long enough.

Aside from the amazing location and luxurious amenities, what makes this place stand out is the owners and staff. They made sure we had a comfortable experience. The food is all "home made", from the warm medialunas in the morning, to the best pastas and meats you will taste in Bariloche. 5 stars is not enough. This was by far the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. Stayed here for 3 weeks in Feb of 2024. The place is just OK - definitely a little run down. Rooms and showers are a bit dirty but nothing too bad. It's a decent walk down to the main city but it's some good exercise. The people and service here are what stands out. Very nice people, coffee, food offerings. Love the dogs that wander around.

Cannot recommend less. Arrived to a dirty room and was then offered 2 room downgrades. Staff are so unhelpful. Have been waiting for nearly 1 months for an invoice. They sent me an invoice for the wrong amount. Kitchen doesn’t exist. It’s very far out of town if you do not have a car.
Emily S — Google review
I have stayed at Selina’s and had great experiences but this one is quite a different story. No welcome drinks, nobody really staying here as our car was the only 2 or 3 parked, no organisation of any activities and no energy to this place in fact it gives abandoned hotel vibes. We joined the WhatsApp group while we were staying here over the holidays but they didn’t even wish you happy holidays or anything. Our room was brutally dark with all lights on but oddly at night there was a bright street light that illuminated our room. The kitchen was very sad as only some stoves worked, no toasters and it seemed to be heavily used by staff so you feel like you’re interrupting. Our groceries kept being moved around to make room for alcohol. Not social at all and we only met one other traveller who said he didn’t love it either. We booked for 4 nights but left after 3 because it was so gloomy and so we went somewhere nicer. The place needs a lot of care as things are broken, terrible paint jobs and cheap feeling overall. You can get better accomodations that are more social.
Win H — Google review
The experience at this hotel was disappointing, primarily due to the staff’s attitude. From check-in to check-out, they seemed unhelpful, unfriendly, and unwilling to address even basic requests. A little courtesy and professionalism would have made a big difference, but unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired.
Aviv E — Google review
We were expecting an hostel where we meet other travelers and share nice activities. Instead, the vibe is off, the commodities outside are low maintenance (swimming pool inside is abandoned with no water..) , the kitchen not well equipped… We came here to meet people our age and to party and we just met a few. The only positive point are the rooms that are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable. The service is nice but I’ve known better.
Marie P — Google review
We had a couple problems with our room (curtains let way too much light in and there was a screw sticking out of the headboard that cut me). Once we brought the issues to the attention of the front desk, they were quick to solve the issues. The front desk staff was amazing and so helpful. The events at night were fun to watch as well.

Most people were friendly and the atmosphere was good. The suite was very spacious and cozy, however, way too hot. The heaters were unable to turn off and as you sleep on the upper level above the bathroom, it was very hot. The laundry service was great. I am posting this review a bit later than I should have. We visited back in February. This is an amazing place, the location is beautiful and not far from the city center, its quite and well maintained. But the staff is the true gem of this place. Beba was so welcoming and knowledgeable, and she knew exactly where we used to snowboard in NY(where we live) what a small world. Well her service did not end when we left, unfortunately we left behind a few items that were very important to us. Beba went above and beyond to ship that to us. Our only regret was not to take advantage of the spa services, we were very busy taking in the beautiful sites of this region. We can not wait to come back, it was well worth the long flights to get there.

We stayed 4 nights for skiing. The location is good but NOT ski in/ski out. It is about a 5 minute walk to lifts. I felt the rooms and service were not commiserate with the price. Our bed was cheap and uncomfortable with no headboard. Just two twin mattresses against the wall. Pillows and bedding were very cheap. They give you one key to your room and state you should leave at the front desk when leaving so that if you have more than one person you have a key to enter. This was an annoying overhead to have to go to front desk every time you enter and leave your room. The food and drinks were extremely pricey for the quality. I did like the downstairs lodge area. Overall for the price I would not recommend staying. They charge 4 star pricing but at best provide 3 star experience.

Very bad conserved. To take a hot shower you have to do it earlier in the afternoon if not you have cold water. The service is not good. It’s very noisy, the walls are made of paper. There is not any relationship between the high price and the poor quality of everything. The restaurants are very limited and the quality is poor. Only good, location

An amazing accommodation with friendly staff, especially the Yoga Stretch and Relaxation instructor, Kevin who is also leading the hiking tour with his assistant Cice. Awesome breakfast facility with glorious food and abundance.

The sight is amazing, the building is traditional of the area, very nice. It is quite away from downtown and stores...actually surrounded by mountains and up on one of them! If you like mountain lodges, ask for a room on the "modulos", as they are called, no luxury, quite basic but clean and cozy. If you prefer an "upgrade", ask for a room in the main building. There is a play room, entertainment for children under 5, a tennis court, sauna, a warm water pool outdoor, and another half in/half out which you cannot miss on cold, rainy days. I am attaching pictures for you to see by yourselves.

Great hotel compare to Patagonia's hostels! Great breakfast, great WiFi, strong computer at the lobby. And most important, it's located on the main street!! There are also cheaper rooms (for trekkers)

Overall, there is a lot of potential with this hotel, but improrving some basic issues would make for a much better experience. The good bits: - You can walk to the skiing (but see below) - The condo apartments are spacious - The kitchen is well equipped - Accommodation is clean - The restaurant on site is tasty and good value The not-so-good bits: - Walking to the skiing involves crossing the hotel car park which is muddy, has potholes, and compacted snow (which I nearly fell on); the road is also treacherous with coaches whizzing past. - Walking to the spa involves - yes, you guessed it - the muddy paths - The gym is a gym in name: equipment is scant and flimsy - The pool is warm, but often crowded and not that big for swimming - Service was variable - I've never had a bedroom where there is a bath in the bedroom. It seemed redundant as there was no plug which fitted it, and at night, we would hear waste water from other rooms going through its plumbing. As we had another bath in the property, this felt overkill. - The view (and access to the slopes) was marred by a barbed wire fence with concrete posts; no other properites nearby seemed to have anything similar.

(Translated by Google) Absolute disappointment! -The mattress was completely worn out, we were literally sleeping on springs. After complaining, they changed our room, but the heating was set to 35 degrees and could NOT be regulated. They kept us "waiting" for a solution for an entire day, and while we were there... we had to keep the windows open!!!! -The pillows are soft, hard, and your ear hurts 20 minutes after going to bed. We had to go downtown to buy pillows when we paid for a 4-star hotel!!! -After so much torture, we went to dinner at the restaurant... the milanesa was hard, you could tell it was old... the meat was black, the flan was tasteless, the only two flavors of ice cream they had were awful and VERY EXPENSIVE, more expensive than the best steakhouse in Bariloche. -BREAKFAST, PLEASE! The set was a sachet but with 5 liters of water... The taste was worse than the color! The croissants were like those you'd find at a gas station, but undercooked, the coffee was cold... a breakfast you wouldn't want even if it were free. We decided to buy something at the supermarket and have breakfast in the room. - We wanted to leave, change hotels, but they WON'T refund your money; they're holding you hostage. - They clean the room but DON'T wash the dishes, unheard of! They don't even have a dishwasher; they just leave you a sponge to get ready. And if you're suddenly on vacation and don't want to wash dishes for a few days... you have to pay extra for that service... ... the worst thing is that they sell it to you and charge like a 4-star hotel, and it's far from that.

(Translated by Google) Stayed from July 17, 2017 to July 25, 2018. Family stay. A total disaster. The price-performance ratio compared to the hotel is a rip-off. USD 700 a night, and the mattresses and pillows are of terrible quality, and they're busted. The springs dig into your back. We had to go downtown to buy pillows because they had no replacements. Obviously, since we had already paid in full, they wouldn't refund our money so we could stay in another hotel. The heating couldn't be regulated. They offered us the solution of opening the windows. We had to sleep with them open in the middle of July. The breakfast was of terrible quality, along with super-poor cold coffee. The croissants didn't even bake properly. They were undercooked, the gas station pastries were undercooked, and the orange juice was watery with orange color. We only had breakfast one day, and the rest of the time we bought it at the supermarket and ate it in our room. The first night we had dinner at the restaurant, and it was still of terrible quality and excessively expensive. We ordered ice cream for dessert. There was only chocolate and strawberry, two scoops for $15,000. The kids couldn't even finish it because it was so horrible. The flan was tasteless, the cream was the color and the flavor was horrible. It's really a total rip-off. They're a disaster, terrible quality, and they charge more than the best restaurant in Bariloche. If you want to feel mistreated and pay a fortune for it, this is the place. It was the worst stay I've had in my 50 years of life. And to top it all off, when you check out, they hold you hostage at the front desk until an employee checks your room to check for who knows what. They think you're going to take a fork or a plate? They're pathetic. We paid $5,600 for this torture. If you want to have a bad time and pay a fortune, stay at Village Condo. The Francisco Moreno Museum of Patagonia is a must-visit attraction in the plaza, offering an intriguing exploration of the natural and cultural history of Patagonia. The museum showcases a diverse range of exhibits, including dioramas, artifacts, and even a caricature featuring Perito Moreno and Theodore Roosevelt. Visitors can admire engraved Tehuelche tablet stones, Aonikenk painted horse-hides, and unique items like playing cards made from guanaco skin.
Excellent option to get to know about Perito Moreno and prehistoric life in this area. Facilities for the handicapped and the visually impaired. English guides. The entrance fare is really low. The place is in perfect condition and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend this museum.

Interesting small museum. Partly in English, mostly in Spanish. Very interesting about the history of Patagonia, its fauna and flora and indigenous people. Can't go wrong with a small visit here.

I really enjoyed this.  I have been travelling in Patagonia a while and this was a nice small museum.  A good introduction to the region, from its volcanic origins and archaeological sites to the wildlife that you may encounter. Would be good to do at the start of a trip. Some of the personal effects of Francisco P. Moreno (Argentinian explorer) are on display here.  I really enjoyed the section on the indigenous people of southern Argentina.  Information is in English as well.  It is a small museum.  Entrance fee was cheap.  I would allow one hour. Located in Centro Cívico Bariloche.

This was a pretty good place to stay. The hotel staff is very helpful, and it does offer quite a bit of amenities as well. My only complaint is that the rooms can be a bit loud with the cars driving by the road, but it isn't so bad. The view from the room is great.
Hernan H — Google review
Travelling in Argentina for a while, this was the worst hotel I stayed in.  Let us start with the positives and why I am at least giving the hotel a 2-star rating as opposed to 1. Location was good, close to all the shops and restaurants and right opposite Nahuel Huapi Lake.  I paid extra and booked a Lake View room.  I loved the interior lobby part as you entered. I enjoyed sitting there in the evening watching the sunset over Nahuel Huapi Lake.  Great music too.  The breakfast room was also nice and spacious. There was also a small bar that opened in the evening.  This is where the positives end!  The staff were very rude and unfriendly.  They never greeted you and instead chatted amongst themselves or sat there playing with their phones.  I had called, messaged and emailed the hotel multiple times to tell them of a very late-night arrival, yet I was ignored and nobody responded to me.  When I arrived, the gentleman said they had received my messages.  Could you not respond?  What is the point of having contact details?  Lazy staff who did not care about guests.  If I had emailed them to ask about a reservation, I guarantee you that they would have responded swiftly. All they care about is money! All other hotels I have in stayed in whilst travelling in Argentina for over a month, sent me a welcome message and asked if I needed anything. This hotel just sends you a message telling you that parking is subject to availability and at an additional cost.  They did not offer any airport transfers, laundry or tourist services.  I was rudely told that they cannot help me with airport transfers. First time I see a hotel so unhelpful. Checking in was like watching paint dry, so slow. The rooms were not spacious as advertised on the website. What you see on the website is totally different to what you get in reality.  It was like stepping back in time.  Old-fashioned rooms which were dark and dingy. My grandmother would not even have a carpet like that in her home! Rooms desperately need to be upgraded.  Clean, but could be better. Housekeeping wasn't done well.  One day, they left me only a hand towel and no bath towel.  WIFI was sporadic, not the best.  Breakfast was awful. Mainly a cold breakfast. If you want a hot breakfast, then there were only scrambled eggs.  Limited choice of breads, pastries, cereals and cold meats mainly.  The fresh fruit was rotten.  The juices were not fresh.  I tried a different one each morning.  Very sweet.  A lot of the breakfast items were not replenished so if you go late, then expect an even lesser choice! I just had a slice of bread, lightly toasted or a pastry with a slice of cheese. The coffee was good and that was it. The breakfast area was nice.  Very big, spacious and clean. Most guests will have breakfast around the same time before all the tours start. One evening, I asked for hot water at the hotel bar and was told I couldn't have it. It was hot water, that was all! The day before I left, I had a note left in my room reminding me that I was checking out the next day and to vacate by 11:00.  Are we really that stupid? I am sure that I can speak for everyone, and we all know when we need to check out of a hotel.  They don't bother to welcome you but they can kick you out!  There are better options in Bariloche.  Give your business to another hotel!
Taylor D — Google review
Hotel right by the shore in Bariloche. One of the oldest in town and still quite in a good shape. Classical environment, clean, good service, commodities and breakfast included. They also have a parking lot (very expensive though). Despite its shortcomings (slightly outdated facilities, some missing commodities like lack of fridge, old showers..., average breakfast options, etc. ) it is not a bad choice as it has a great location (5 min walk from downtown and the shore), breakfast is included, fair price and overall good service.

We stayed there the past few nights and had the absolute best time! This hotel was centrally located with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains, literally right outside the window! What made it so special is the comfy bed, pillows, and daily cleaning. Also, the breakfast was included and fully stocked with beverages, bread, meats, cheeses, and even eggs. Also, the room where you ate had a beautiful view! Last perk was the friendly and helpful staff - plus a bar open late :)

in general, considering the hotel rating is a very good hotel that will offer a comfortable stay in Bariloche. It is very well located, it has decent service, breakfast included with a good buffet, nice decoration and comfortable rooms. I went in winter and rooms were very very hot which was good after spending time in the cold. The only thing that they could have a better offer is having better in night service, as the bar is closed and you can get coffee neither hot water, or anything else.

Hotel Nahuel Huapi is a relaxed 1938 establishment that offers simple yet comfortable rooms and complimentary breakfast. The wine bar and restaurant provide convenient dining options for guests. While the hotel's central location is convenient, some aspects of the accommodation may need improvement, such as room allocation and elevator maintenance. Despite these issues, the hotel provides all necessary amenities without excessive luxury, making it a suitable choice for travelers seeking a straightforward stay in San Carlos De Bariloche.
Great hotel to stay in Bariloche. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, the breakfast has a huge selection of pastries, fruits, and savory breakfast items. If you drink non-dairy milk though, bring your own, they don’t have it. The common areas and the rooms are clean. The room was also spacious and luminous. There is a private parking in the back of the hotel, which is a great perk as well.
Anett B — Google review
2nd room was nice with shower and quiet. 1st room was street side and noisy all night with old tube. They did change us the second night no problem. No plants based milks available for breakfast. Canded fruit cocktail and some whole fruit fruit. Instant type oats were available with standard Argentina usual assortment of meat and cheese.
Kenny W — Google review
Positives: nice breakfast, nice staff, good location. 3-stars is accurate description here. The walls are thin and the doors are noisy when windows are open, knocking back and forth on their hinges. People honk their horns from 7pm to 7am. They don’t tell you about the tourist tax until you check out.

Hotel Internacional is a straightforward accommodation option offering modest rooms, some of which boast scenic lake views. The hotel features a relaxed bar and a buffet-style restaurant. Conveniently situated just 0.25km from the city center, it provides easy access to Civic Center Bariloche and the Museum of Patagonia. Guests can take advantage of amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, concierge services, and a welcoming lobby with a fireplace. Overall, it's considered an acceptable choice for its price point.
This hotel is good in total... **but: There is no hot water for 2 days, and it has no water at all part of the time. This is not a cheap hotel so this is very basic! I don't think they handled the issues properly. And no compensation for that, that's why I say stay away from this hotel The noise from the outside from the corridor is also terrible. No soundproofing at all!!

Even though it was hard to connect to the Internet, I was finally able to do so and the connection was rather fast. However, notice that it doesn't reach every room of the hotel, thus it work great he hall. Something I really disliked was the service. , not the room service but the attention given at the reception and during dinner. At the dinning room there were several tables uncleaned, even quarter an hour after they were not in used. At the reception I was not even told how to get to my room.

If you want to rest and sleep well, i do not recomend this place. It is full of noisy guests who are not interested in thinking about others. Cell phones with music anywhere in the hotel. Great top floor apartment. If you are looking for that 70's style, that's the place.

The hotel is okay. On a budget it is what is expected but don’t let the photos deceive you. This photos do not represent the hotel look at all. But the room was clean and the breakfast was decent. The wifi worked well downstairs and the staff were nice :)

Overall a very pleasant stay. Staff were attentive and helpful, especially Paula! The only complaint would be in relation to the wifi which didn’t work in the rooms.

Very nice hostel and wonderful staff. Basic facility at economic price. Very clean and nicely located in town just two blocks from lakefront walkway. Great restaurants nearby. Very pleasant place to stay.

Cheap. Clunky beds, good breakfast, nice people, bathrooms 60's styled. Thrilling and potentially lethal elevator. You're in the middle of a paradise, who cares ?

Great place to stay in Bariloche. The place is a little old, but very well maintained and designed for functionality. Beautiful gardens, play room, swimming pool, spa and an excellent restaurant. The location is convenient, 10 minute drive to downtown and easy access to sightseeing roads.

Lovely location, rooms need some maintenance. In general good lodging, clean and convenient for a get away. Wifi is truly bad, no remote working capabilities.
Daniel F — Google review
Older but very nice facility - steps and rock paths would not make this resort very conducive to handicap. The staff was exceptional with lots of suggestions and help during our stay. We did not rent a car but when you need a taxi - order a remis instead as they seem to be cheaper. We used local transportation. A card is needed for the local bus system but if you don't have one, people will swipe their card and you pay them.
GiGi O — Google review
The rooms are quite dated and dark, but spacious. Views of the lake are decent. Location is outside of Bariloche so I would definitely recommend a car. Main staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool staff seemed bothered by my presence. Internet is extremely slow, almost useless. The network blocks the use of Netflix.

Nice apartment outside Bariloche in the way to the mountains. With kitchen, living room, bathroom and room. Fully equipped. Very good heated. Ate the hotel there was Tênis Court and other facilities. A really nice place! if you like you can pay for breakfast or just make it yourself in the apartment kitchen. it's easy to ask for taxi to go downtown, just ask at front desk, it's about 75 and 90 pesos. enjoy this nice stay in Bariloche!

beautiful place up the hill. a little far from town centre and sometimes have to wait a while for the infrequent bus. there's a bus stop outside the hotel but not quite certain where's the stop. just have to wave hard and pray hard the bus will somehow stop for you. love the breakfast place with beautiful view window. the room not in new condition but good enough for short stay. view of the lake and mountains from the room window. night pretty cold as the radiator not strong enough. reception very friendly and breakfast the usual Argentinian fare with their dulce de leche

Excellent location. You can walk to the Center of Bariloche from there all by the lake with superb lake views! Just 20min by taxi to the Cerro Cathedral. The people were very warm welcoming. The heated pull is awesome as you can go inside and outside enjoying the stars from the pool !

The rooms, location, amenities, and views are incredible. This hotel has probably the best private beach in Bariloche. The pool is perfect. The food is mediocre. I ordered a steak for dinner and it was way overcooked. The breakfast is the exact same every day, with scrambled eggs that are not fresh. Service is not outstanding like some other hotels, for example they do not help with your luggage, and other small things. It was not particularly bad service, but not good either. Overall it is a good experience and beautiful location. With better service it would be a dream.
Teddy W — Google review
Loved the whole place and the views are unreal, Get in the pool for a beautiful sunset! Our room was under the dinning room so we were woken up after the dinner service at 11pm when they were cleaning up and moving tables, and again in the morning at 6:30am. Wasnt an issue for me but maybe for some . Would still highly recommend

This down-to-earth hotel with lake views features a tea house and free breakfast. It's located in San Pedro's Peninsula and offers luxury rooms with amazing views of Lake Nahuel Huapi. You can also enjoy discounted ski equipment and skiing lessons at the nearby Catedral Ski Center. In the summer, there are many opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain trekking, bird watching trips, and visits to local lakes.
I can't say enough about the terrific Peninsula Petit Hotel! We stayed for two nights and loved our time there. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful, kind...we felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. The setting was gorgeous, and the views from every window (including those in our room) were extraordinary. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel on our first night, and we also enjoyed a deluxe and generous made-to-order breakfast each morning. Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed with nice touches like filtered water outside our room, and a nice selection of complimentary teas. Did I mention the incredible staff? Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly, I can't say enough good things about them! If you are looking for a unique stay in Bariloche, look no further than Peninsula Petit Hotel.
Kate C — Google review
This has been the best stay ever! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My luggage got lost and the man at the front desk kindly called the airport for me and helped me get it back! It feels like a stay at home, the food is homemade and delicious. Everything we ate, breakfast and dinner and even the snacks and coffee/tea they offer in the afternoon have been delicious. Our flight the day we left was early so we would miss breakfast, so they made us a to-go box with some pastries, juice etc. SO kind! The hotel is insanely beautiful too, you can walk down to the beach and sit by the water. We did not want to leave the hotel! The bed was comfy and the view from our room was gorgeous. The staff was super accommodating and helpful in recommending what to do and helping us book activities. Will definitely stay here again the next time we come!

Perhaps the best hotel experience I ever had. The location, the private beach with a kayak, the rich breakfast and dinner, and above all the wonderful staff. Truly remarkable and 100% recommended. Just book it!
Shachar L — Google review
Stayed here 9/9-12/9 and it was fantastic! Excellent breakfast which you order a la carte, but you can order as much as you like. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and seem to have a genuine interest in making their guests as comfortable as possible. The room was large with heated flooring. Bed was standard as well as the bathroom. The main reason why I found the hotel exceptional for its cost was by far the staff, the views and the all around environment. Be aware that it's highly recommended to rent/have a car if you decide to go here, as a one way Uber was around 30 USD.
Magnus P — Google review
We had breakfast here. The breakfast was ok, below par coffee but nice scones. However the service was really nice and the view is second to none. If you walk down the stairs there is also a private beach

We had really high expectations before our visit, as the hotel was praised to the skies from a usually quite critical family member. However, we were not disappointed at all! The hotel is really cute and has an amazing view of the lake and mountains in the background. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely amazing. Especially the breakfast is outstanding (see the picture!). All in all we can just recommend to explore this great place on your own!

(Translated by Google) The breakfast is perfect, complete and rich. Fresh fruit and food. Delicious coffee with milk. On the other hand, the beds in the room are very old. The sheets were also in poor condition. Last year we had to ask for a hair dryer and this year they didn't even have a hair dryer. Not one in the entire hotel. The carpet in the room was stained. The view we had was very good, perhaps due to the low season. (Original) El desayuno es perfecto, completo variado los rico. Fruta y comida fresca. Rico el café con leche. (Translated by Google) My regret on the trip was staying at this hotel. Positives: Location; it takes less than 3 minutes to walk to Mitre Street. Negatives: 1) The customer service. I don't know if it's because we're Brazilian, but the staff, right from the front desk, were very rude. From the moment we arrived, from the moment we said "hello," we were told about prohibitions, as if we were being scolded. 2) There's no minibar in the room, and they prohibit eating or drinking any type of food in the room. However, we obviously had to bring water, and we were uncomfortable bringing water due to the initial lecture upon arrival. But how can we stay without drinking water? 3) The facilities are old; the room and bathroom are in dire need of maintenance. 4) The breakfast is simple.

(Translated by Google) I stayed here for four days, and everything was wonderful. Room 118 had a beautiful view of Lake Nahuel Huapi. It's on a very high street, so you'll need to be prepared for the walk up and down to the lake. The breakfast was delicious and complete. The location was quiet, the room was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. They let me check in at 11:30 a.m. And the price was the best we could get for a very comfortable stay. I booked directly on the website, and they offered a credit card payment option, excluding VAT. I only had to show my passport upon arrival to prove I'm a foreigner. There's a communal refrigerator where you can store food and a beautiful, large room in the reception area where you can eat and heat food in the microwave. There's even coffee and hot chocolate available for purchase in this room. They'll store your luggage at the reception area so you can go sightseeing until it's time to head to the airport. I highly recommend it, and I do a lot of research on hotels before traveling. (Original) Fiquei 4 dias aqui , tudo maravilhoso. Deixaram fazer check-in as 11:30 hs.

The dude at the counter does not know what is service. We asked for the parking place (how it was written in booking) . After we demand it, he became angry and answered screaming. We demand to speak to his boss, but he don't want to...... You know why?? There was a parking place. InThe backyard and he just was not able to tell us to park there? Noo he don't want to because he don't know what is service. A person like this is not able to work in a service. He eskaletes the Situation without Reason. We told him there will be consequences! His answer: he don't care. In addition the hotel is a mess. There is fungus at the windows, the sheets stink, there is no real door at the bath, the street in front is to loud. NEVER AGAIN!

It is conveniently located near Plaza Ciudades Hermanas and the lakeshore, making it easy to feel at home in this welcoming lodge. The en-suite rooms can comfortably accommodate up to four people, and guests can relax in the communal living room after a day of outdoor activities. Visitors have praised the helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent location close to the center.

The staff, including Mr. Aníbal, are very polite and friendly, the cleanliness is quite adequate, and the breakfast is adequate. We had repeated complaints without a solution. Perhaps that caused them annoyance. I won't list issues that could be improved. Any shortcomings can be mitigated with friendly service. It's striking that people dedicated to tourism don't consider this aspect. That was our experience. And it was remarkable and undisguisable. Except for Yamila. We could have returned another time. Not that we will. (Original) Hostería básica con calefacción e higiene adecuada. Buena ubicación. Habitación pequeña, desayuno básico. Botón descarga inodoro no funcionaba correctamente. (Translated by Google) The hotel has very old and small rooms. Very old and soft mattresses. Televisions the size of a small monitor. And the most uncomfortable thing was the bathroom. Very small, super old, and without a bidet (something that is culturally unacceptable in Argentina). All of this would be acceptable if the price weren't around $100 a night. In other words, it's a humble inn, but with excessive prices for the facilities offered. The staff is very friendly and provides excellent service. The breakfast is average and basic (to be expected for the hotel's category). But at an international ski resort, they should provide breakfast early since the people staying start the day early. Here, they start at 8:00, which is already late for people who need to make the most of the day. Anyway, if the price were more reasonable, I think it would align expectations with reality. The truth is, the price didn't match the experience. The internet also doesn't work as expected in 2025. But this is a problem for all the inns that don't invest in mesh Wi-Fi networks like other people do and believe that a couple of familiar Chinese routers will serve the number of devices travelers bring today.

Lirolay Suites is a charming hotel in Argentina's Bariloche region, offering elegant suites with stunning views of Nahuel Huapi Lake. The alpine lodge, designed by Rafael Manero, resembles a wood-and-stone castle straight out of a fairy tale. Guests can indulge in hot tubs with lake views and enjoy in-room wellness treatments such as deep-moisturizing facials and acupuncture.
Lirolay Suites was a luxury experience and made our Bariloche visit phenomenal. Not only are the rooms and grounds beautiful (we utilized everything from doing a cold plunge at their the lake access to the in-room hot tubs) but the staff was so incredibly helpful in making recommendations and booking tours. From tea houses to boat tours, it was so easy for us to chat with them in the morning, head out for our activities, and know our next day would be booked by the time we were back. Plus, Yin (the hotel's cat), is treat as well!

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The one bedroom suite was very spacious, well maintained, excellent heating, and the jacuzzi was a delight. Architecturally the building is quite unique. It also has quite a few amenities, such as a swimming pool, sun deck, and garden area. The staff, particularly Arturo, were superb. I would comment all the suites are to have a lake view. Unfortunately, ours had a protected tree blocking it. Breakfasts were very good, but we did not enjoy the dinner. I do understand the restaurant across the street is good.

If you can stay in the Lirolay Suite! It’s such a beautiful and serene location — you’re really paying for the incredible view! The rooms are nice and comfortable, though the hot tub could use a bit of an upgrade. That said, it was absolutely worth it — soaking in the hot tub while watching the sunset was the perfect way to unwind after some long hikes. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Bariloche; the view truly can’t be beat!

We spent six nights at Lirolay Suites while on family vacation. It's a small cozy hotel on the waterfront, with a safe entrance gate, beautiful property and STUNNING lake and mountain views. It's walking distance to restaurants along the main route along the lake. The real highlight was impeccable service. All three guys who run the property - Alejandro, Mateo, and Jose - were very friendly, caring, and helpful. They advised us on the activities in the area and booked them for us, which was indispensable for us since we don't speak Spanish and far from everyone here speaks English. When my rental car battery died while in another part of Bariloche, Alejandro went out of his way to come with his car and cables to start my car! The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but you can always order food in your room or on the deck next to the pool, and it was good and would arrive promptly. Overall, highly recommended!

I am so glad we decided to stay at Lirolay Suites! It was exactly what we were looking for for our vacation - the view was incredible from every part of the hotel and the private beach was the perfect place to relax after we went hiking for the day. Our favorite part of our stay was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while we were there, helped us make dining reservations and set up excursions. They were very communicative and took the time to answer any question we had. It's the best hotel service I've ever experienced! Side note: the room service food was delicious!

It is in a decent location, and if you have a lake facing room, fabulous views. The staff are kind, and the breakfast lady was amazingly helpful. The rooms are small and very dated. The bedside light flickers, and the shower is awkwardly narrow. My toliet seat was replaced with a seat and lid that don't fit, so the lid will not stay up and closes on your backside when you're trying to sit or stand. I guess guys will need to hold it up while peeing. There are also a lot of spiders and bugs on the walls of the room

(Translated by Google) The location is beautiful. The lake view from the room is the best. The heating works wonderfully. The service and the staff are also exceptional. The only downside is the facilities. The rooms are very small. We had to move because a leak appeared in the ceiling and was slowly flooding the room. And in the other room, we didn't have hot water in the bathroom sink, only in the shower. We also didn't have a refrigerator or a small table to eat there. They are rooms only for sleeping and bathing. I'm very satisfied. I wouldn't go back, but we had a great time anyway. (Original) La ubicación es hermosa. Y en la otra habitación no teníamos agua caliente en el lavabo del baño, sólo en la ducha. Tampoco teníamos heladera, ni una mesita para quedarnos a comer ahí. (Translated by Google) Terrible. As soon as we arrived, they charged me a different price than what Booking had told me. They convert USD to the current rate, which is why the reservation price listed on Booking differs from the actual price. Not only that, but when I tried to pay by credit card, they tried to charge me a 10% surcharge. Our room had every light bulb burned out except for the one on the nightstand. When I tried to turn on the light, it sparked and hit my partner's hand, leaving the entire room dark. The room with a "flat screen" had a CRT TV older than my grandmother's. The bathroom didn't include shampoo or conditioner, the towels were stained with rust, the toilet leaked water, and the shower flooded when you started to shower. Breakfast is coffee with ONE croissant; if you asked for another, they wouldn't give it to you. The room facing the building's inner lung doesn't get a ray of sunlight; it's totally depressing. I would not recommend going, the hotel is just for leaving things and sleeping, it is not at all a good place to choose to stay on vacation, I would NEVER go back.

This guy is trying to scam people who book with booking.com by forcing them to pay the unofficial rate. With booking.com the reservation is held in USD, but always paid in pesos at the official rate. Thankfully we didn't book the place, because I would have refused to allow him to scam us and involved booking.com who would certainly have sided with us. Avoid!

The first surprise is that the photos they publish on Booking or on the web are totally different from reality. The second thing that surprised us was the filth: grease in the kitchen, dust, hair, literally disgusting. Regardless of its state of conservation. The main problem was cleanliness. Just mentioning that the toilet and bidet had dried urine stains, that in the freezer there was like a plate with a custard all uncovered and that the kitchen utensil drawers were all with dirt and crumbs, is enough to say that it is A shame and I will not return. Daniel and Angela's deal was 10 points, but everything was overshadowed by grime. In the end I ended up not trusting if the towels and sheets were really washed before our arrival. Upon entering they also warned me that the washing machine was not working and that the TV in the bedroom was taken away for repair. All this is understandable, but not the reason for the only star I give. (Translated by Google) We didn't go, we canceled the reservation directly. We did it through Booking, and after a while they sent us a message saying that to make it effective we had to pay 50% of it. Although Booking specifies that the price is in dollars, the host wants to charge in blue dollars, which is not correct. On the other hand, I see that he answers all users aggressively, classifies them as opportunists for wanting to pay the OFFICIAL price, and orders them to read the Booking policies. I am a frequent traveler, both inside and outside Argentina, I know the policies and it is the first host who wants to charge at a blue price. The official dollar does exist, and it is the one that should be charged, the blue dollar is not official. There are several of us who feel cheated by this situation. You could understand the situation, but the lack of respect seems to me to be something that cannot be tolerated. I hope everyone can read the reviews before choosing to hire this company. The rooms are a dream, some have a view of the lake and the decoration and the good taste of Corina, the owner, are the perfect touch to rest in peace. To keep in mind: you can use the kitchen until 10 at night, but cooking meat is prohibited, as well as several rules to follow, no tobacco, no alcohol. On the property there are several pets, cats, rabbits. You can practice yoga but ALWAYS according to the instructions of the owner, who leaves a lot to be desired since she should be fully involved with her guests and volunteers and is too annoying. Certain rooms are too small and only have double beds, no children. The service cost ratio is not acceptable, too expensive for what they provide. The Ganapathi guest house is beautiful. And the bathroom, you can see, also with a slope, and with a window next to the toilet!!! When I complained, they told me that it is a suite because it has an en-suite bathroom!!! For 70 dollars!! It's not worth it!!! They offered me another room but we didn't want it anymore!! It is also very far from the center and steep dirt streets, the staff is very attentive, the room is super warm!!!!
