Coffee shop
A Cup of Common Wealth is a charming neighborhood cafe with two locations in Lexington, including the original spot on 105 Eastern Ave. The cafe prides itself on serving fresh, locally roasted coffee while also making efforts to support the community and reduce its environmental impact. It offers a variety of craft coffee and espresso drinks, along with tea, sandwiches, and breakfast options. The atmosphere is described as calming and therapeutic, making it an ideal spot for enjoying a cup of coffee or getting some work done.
Really nice people! Very good service and fast too! Very cozy coffee shop cafe vibes where you can go and chill out , study , chat or whatever you want! Definitely will be back 🫡

I’m finishing my large mocha latte (3 shots) and I’m already planning to buy a second before my parking meter expires 😜 Yep. It’s that good. And a bonus: I typically ask for things to be half sweet, but at a high-quality shop like this, I can actually just order it as is without it being overly sweet🎉
Stacy W — Google review
Stopped in for a quick espresso and cappuccino for my wife. Would go back for the coffees and the muffins. Our dogs were with us, very dog friendly. Nice, relaxing atmosphere.
Joe M — Google review
After a long detour from my trip I was greeted with a pour over coffee that did not disappoint. Finally some real coffee on this long journey today. Service was excellent and the place was booming during trivia night.
Eric P — Google review
When you first walk in, it feels like a comfortable coffee shop. As my teenagers say "It passes the vibe check". Emma was super friendly, and made a point of introducing herself. Great cup of coffee. Now the REAL magic happened when I walked in about 6 weeks later. Emma said "What's up Yemi?" I was a bit blown away, as she'd met me just ONCE, and recalled my name right off the bat. The atmosphere is friendly, inviting, and just feels like a hug...and not the weak "butterfly pat" hugs which are common among acquaintances. I'm talking the kind of hug among FRIENDS. The friendliness and genuine love which radiate from Emma, Bailee, and (owner) Sal make this THE place to get a hazelnut lavender latte (my usual) and step out of downtown and into the perfect exhale. Come here. Often.
Olayemi O — Google review
It is a cool cafe to try! 😍The staffs are super friendly and helpful. The coffee was nice. If you are looking for experiencing something special, it is a place to go 👍
Matin H — Google review
Definitely a unique and vintage-y coffee spot. I ordered a light roast coffee and soy chai latte. The drinks were pretty good and I would definitely come back to try something else. Space is limited in the shop and the seating wasnt very comfortable. They are dog friendly which I think is cool.
Aaron — Google review
This is my first time visiting but I have heard great things from my daughter. I really enjoy the space and the tables outside next to the park. The different areas and the length of shop really add to the cool factors of this place. There are a couple of unique things that they offer here to stand out even more. Italian Sodas Several real food options for Lunch A great assortment of Bakery goods as Breakfast or treats. It took a bit to get my order because of a line with only one making drinks and one making food but all was worth the wait.

North Lime Coffee & Donuts - Limestone is a popular spot in the Northside/Brucetown district of Lexington, known for its artsy vibe and housemade specialty donuts. The shop offers an eclectic selection of donut flavors, from classic options to unique creations like the Flatten the Curd with Gov. Andy Beshear's face on it.
I LOVE the donuts at this place! My favorite are the plain glazed. They’re all very unique to this place and thick, so very filling. The coffee is good too. Everything is affordable, the inside is a vibe, and the service is 10/10. The parking is accessible with street and 2 actual parking lots too.
Jaylene P — Google review
We love North Lime! The coffee and tea selections are great, with interesting monthly specials. The donuts are fantastic, with a core selection of familiar flavors and a few unique flavors that change daily. There’s plenty of parking and good seating. Our favorite place in town for coffee and donuts!
Janine H — Google review
We love North Lime! Great coffee & donuts. Especially great when they collab with other local companies deserving of attention. Love the community support. Y'all pay it back & get ya some square donuts!!!!!
TARA L — Google review
Great coffee and donuts, I've been coming here for years as an occasional treat and to spend some time getting remote work done. The coffee specials are always fun but definitely on the sweeter side if that's your thing. They've recently started roasting their own beans in house too and so far I'm really liking their offerings there! Great atmosphere too, plenty of seating between the area in the coffee shop itself and the rest of Greyline, and overall good vibes.
Ren F — Google review
Would LOVE to give this place 5 stars because there is a lot that's fantastic here. The space, design, and offerings are great! Space: 6/5 Having a donut to support a social cause: 6/5 Food: We got a tie die donut (10% of proceeds go to Pride causes), cookies and cream cheesecake, chocolate iced, and plain glazed. They were great! (5/5) Drinks: We got an iced peanut butter banana latte (special drink for the day/week) (5/5) and drip coffee (3/5). Service: not outright rude, not nice either. (4/5) Update: went back and service was good.
Kim N — Google review
Ummm..... not really my cup of tea🍵. However, the atmosphere is FANTASTIC, love the look of the inside of the building!!!! Wasn't too impressed with the donuts ,felt they were a little to hard and kinda dry. Chocolate milk was just mediocre (nothing to write home about in my opinion) Service was so so. Went in on a Sunday morning around 9am and just kinda felt like the employees was in outta space somewhere 🛸🚀🛸🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ no Good Morning,How may help you or anything.. So I just started placing my order to the cashier. Think I'll pass on future possibilities of visiting again...
LadyD 7 — Google review
Our group got hot latte’s and they were well steamed and the coffee was pretty smooth. The cafe latte oatmilk allowed me to taste the bean and it was a little dark for my personal taste but still enjoyable. They have a variety of unique donuts. We got the plain glazed, dark chocolate orange filled, and lemon cake donut. We enjoyed it all!
Crestina G — Google review
Awesome place.. AMAZING donuts 🍩 🍩!!!!! They also have quality coffee ☕️. My favorite is the atmosphere. Very cool place to grab a coffee and a good doughnut! Looks like there’s a shared space with additional tables too!

Cafe
Located near Transylvania University, Third Street Stuff is a vibrant and funky coffeehouse and retail shop known for its unique gift selection and delicious offerings. The colorful decor, made from recycled materials, adds to the eclectic atmosphere. The menu features a variety of plant-based coffee options, including different roasts of black coffee, herbal teas, and lattes with plant milks. For those who prefer dairy, there are tasty sandwich options like grilled cheese and The Veggie.
What a vibe! They serve delicious slices of cake, pretty nice and also very delicious options of bagels, and coffee that’s always well-brewed and balanced. The place is visually wild, in the best possible way. There’s so much to look at, from the funky decor to the colorful chaos that somehow feels perfectly intentional. A beautifully organized mess, and I say that with love!
Yara G — Google review
Really cool place. Great coffee. Service a little slow but very kind and they were busy. The salmon bagel was nothing like a normal lox bagel I'd get from the northeast but thats on me. Id try a different bagel next time.
Crystal — Google review
Third street stuff is one of those places I would revisit again and again just for the atmosphere. Right as you walk in you are met with a very welcoming and cozy environment. There is plenty of seating including worn down old looking couches, the best ones and next to them i spotted some board games welcome to customers to use, how fun. The interior also includes many beautiful art murals inside and out. I love the personality the place has, it not only sells coffee and baked goods but also plenty and plenty of handmade crafts including socks, jewelry, wallets, stickers, pins and bags etc. When I went the place was packed with people studying, eating and just hanging out and I think this is the perfect spot of all three. If i had to recommend a coffee spot for someone new in lexington i would definitely refer them to this super underrated spot.
Emma R — Google review
True gem. Lots of fun stuff to buy. Really tasty coffee drinks. Pistachio cake is de vine. Touches of Orange cream in the icing. Friendly staff. If you are one who can't handle rainbows? Perhaps there are other places. However, no aggression AT YOU TO COMPLY! At All. More like a hug than a fist, without any questions as to where they are politically. Dave approved (they didn't ask, but old Mann offers) Dave enthusiastic endorsed!
David M — Google review
Third Street Stuff is the most colorful and unique coffee shop in Lexington! I absolutely LOVE the vibes here. The walls are covered in beautiful paintings and photos, and they always have very friendly staff. This shop has a very creative and welcoming vibe. It’s a great spot to chill and do homework or just hang out with friends! During my last visit, I ended up talking to a traveler, and we shared our stories of visiting Malaysia, which made my experience even more memorable. The drinks are great (especially the lattes!), and they have food options as well. I personally love their outdoor seating area; they have lots of plants and little birds, and it’s a very peaceful spot to hang out. The outside of the building is also covered in colorful art and murals, giving it a warm and inviting atmosphere. Third Street Stuff feels like a place where everyone belongs, and it’s absolutely worth a visit!
Emily G — Google review
My undergrad college was right next to Third Street Stuff, so this has been a favorite spot for me for a long time. Great range of coffee drinks and pastries. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. The "stuff" section has gotten smaller over the years, but there are still lots of cool gifts and items for purchase. They've added a large loose-leaf tea selection since I was last there. Their seasonal drinks are always worth checking out. Staff is consistently friendly. Soooo much personality in the space--it's a great place to spend some time. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the the Lexington area.
Holly B — Google review
I had the skellington (Mac nut, cinnamon dust, vanilla) iced coffee- it was super refreshing and just sweet enough while stilling having the coffee undertone. So I highly recommend the coffees here- At the same time the atmosphere and costumers here exhibit the values that the shop values (diversity, freedom of expression). I would also recommend the Transy- it’s super refreshing and yummy if you’re looking for a hearty, savory sandwich try it out!
Jeremyah C — Google review
A warm, welcoming, eclectic coffee shop, this place maintains an aura of the mid-90s but stays up to date and current with worldy events. A fun space to spend time with others or to study, there's even a board game corner and local items for sale, amongst other things. And while there isn't anything fancy about their coffee (no pour-over or anything), it's still delicious and smooth. I will be back for sure.

Tea house
Nestled in Lexington, KY, Coffee Times Coffee House is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts. This espresso bar and shop offers an impressive selection of 60 types of coffee, all roasted on-site to perfection. The inviting atmosphere and friendly baristas make it the perfect spot to savor a steaming latte or a shot of espresso while catching up with friends or simply unwinding.
First time here, and I really enjoy the vibe, perfect for some light coffee related shopping, perfect for hanging with friends, solo, or doing work out of office. They have a big selection of coffee that you can purchase to take home. It’s a place you should definitely check out!
Patrice I — Google review
8/3/25 My husband and I came here after church for our mini date. Our new favorite little tradition, and this time we stopped by Coffee Times Coffee House. It was such a cozy gem! We shared a slice of Martine's Pastry double chocolate cake and wow, it was divine, so rich, fudgy, and absolutely worth the indulgence. The variety of coffee choices was seriously next level! We shared a cup of their decaf espresso and it was smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. Definitely a spot we'll be revisiting. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and explained how their process worked. Very neat spot.
World T — Google review
This place has the best vibes and atmosphere! The coffee was absolutely great and the baristas made it super fast! Everyone is also super friendly!
Madison D — Google review
This was the first coffee shop I came to many moons ago with my dad and I still love it. It instilled a deep love for quality coffee and a good conversation or posting up with my work and locking in or just enjoying the vibe. Amazing coffee and pastries-including options from Martine's! That quality bean smell hits you before you go through the door and you just can't go wrong here. I enjoy the mexi latte when ordering a flavored option, and coconut or pecan when taking flavored coffee home. Italian or Espresso roast are truly wonderful dark roast options. They have lots of tea options as well. There is seating and some shopping. Employees are helpful. Be prepared to wait at certain times, especially around the holidays as this can be a great gift option.
Meagan — Google review
I love coming to coffee time to study. The service is awesome because the workers are so high and there’s also a really nice vintage/thrift store next-door as well. You can’t use Apple Pay here but that’s fine. It does get a bit loud (as all coffee shops do), but everyone in the coffee shop is studying so it is a great environment to study.
Dennis N — Google review
A very fine experience. The location is good, easy to get to (technically I'm a tourist here), the ambiance was very good, the menu options were all excellent including the cold and hot coffee options. I loved the quiche and the way it was served, with some salad on the side, so nicely done on a wooden platter?! Well done! Loved all savory & sweet options. Very different from everywhere else. I liked the little shopping experience in there as well. I wish they had a "couch corner" for a way-too-comfy experience, however, I have nothing to complain about really. Keep up the good work and I'll be back shortly!
Sabah T — Google review
This place had a great atmosphere, a friendly and welcoming staff, and (most importantly) delicious coffee and baked goods. There was a variety of tables a chairs set up in a way that encouraged customers to actually stay and enjoy their visit as opposed to the major coffee chains that just want you to get your order and leave. They offer a variety of great coffee beans and makers as well, and I was able to pick up a full V60 pour over set and some beans to take home and brew. I will absolutely be returning, and bringing my friends.
Nick R — Google review
Went with a group of nine. They have plenty of space to accommodate different size groups. Ordered mocha cappuccino, it was a bit sweet, added regular coffee to it. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

Nestled in the heart of Lexington's Downtown, Lussi Brown Coffee Bar is a cozy and intimate spot offering a unique blend of coffee drinks, baked goods, sweets, cocktails, and beers. The shop's unassuming exterior belies its adventurous spirit, as indicated by the Jolly Roger signboard with crossed spoon and portafilter handle.
I love the vibe of this cozy coffee bar! It was a gem in Lexington for sure! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the fresh lavender syrup! I'm so excited to come back and visit again. This is a perfect spot if you're looking for a little basic coffee to enjoy your afternoon or if you're looking to grab an espresso martini and hang out with friends

This place is really cute! Was able to get a decaf cappuccino and an espresso martini along with a Spaulding donut. The staff were very sweet and friendly, the atmosphere was also great it’s calming and the tunes fit nicely. There’s not a whole lot of seating inside but we had a table and stayed for a while it was so calming. Definitely recommend this lgbtq friendly establishment!
Kristina R — Google review
First time going and it was so good!!! I got a hot dark chocolate mocha latte and it was DELICIOUS!!! They even accommodated my milk allergy with substitutions. I was gonna get a white chocolate flavor but the barista warned me it contained dairy. I was very thankful for the warning. I can't wait to come back and try more coffee options and try their food!
Misu-chan — Google review
Stopped by on Sunday, 11/3/24, at 10:40 am. It took 20 minutes to order and get our coffee. I got the Mayan Mocha and it was good! Love that this coffee shop is LGBTQ+-owned! Cool art!
Erin S — Google review
I was very excited to finally try this place out! However, after receiving my two drinks I was very disappointed with their taste. I ordered an iced matcha and a hot chocolate, and the matcha tasted like green milk, (you can see how milky it is in the pic) whereas the hot chocolate was just warm milk with a dash of cocoa. Considering this place has such a big reputation I was expecting something of higher quality so I'm quite disappointed :/
Oliver F — Google review
Love craft style coffee. Although I have my go to at home this is by far one to add to the list! Highly recommend. Friendly staff great atmosphere very welcoming establishment and probably one of the best damn cherry tarts I've ever sank my teeth into!
Brad W — Google review
I was passing through for work and had the opportunity to visit this gem. Wonderful coffee and super friendly staff. The WiFi is great and I appreciate their “sip to sit” (I think that’s it) policy. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink and enjoy the vibe. Also, their merch is rad!
Lance W — Google review
I meant to write a review for this coffee shop, but here it goes. This shop is located in a corner in downtown Lexington. If you don't know what you're looking for, you might have easily missed this shop as it is inconspicuous. Once you enter the shop, do not let it fool you. This coffee shop/bar serves a fantastic cocktail selection and strong-tasting coffees. There is more setting in the back of the shop, where you must be at least 21 to go in after 12 p.m. I sat in the back after ordering my coffee and then cocktail to do some school work and enjoy the lounge. It is quiet and cozy enough to do your job or relax with a friend or two to chat. I would say this place is one of the most unique places I've been to here in Lexington, and I highly recommend it to those coffeeholic who also love their cocktail drinks.

Nestled in the heart of downtown, Old School Coffee is a charming spot that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Known for its hand-crafted beverages like The Student and The Principal, this coffee shop offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or holding business meetings. Patrons rave about the exceptional quality of their coffee, complemented by delicious Spalding donuts that are always fresh and ready to enjoy.
Beautiful as always. The strongest coffee in town and the best option to get a giant coffee with the best syrups and friendly staff. My top 3 coffee shops in town ill spend all my money at. Get a chocolate croissant and tip fat tips because they deserve it.

Very nice ! The coffee was great they come highly recommended. it wasn’t too busy but was consistent traffic. The inside was nice also modern but had a homey vibe they have a VIP board and a bulletin board with local things nice touch . I got the chai latte (my fav) I loved that it was flavorful taste was great and it came quick. I also got the spinach and feta croissant I’m happy I got it over just getting a plain one it was very good. Something I would get again but as a luxury $5 was a little on the pricey side for me. This is a nice spot that i would recommend to others they have tons of flavors tea and matcha and the coffee is affordable when getting a big size that’s a major plus.
Danasha S — Google review
This was amazing coffee and pastries in a historic actual old school! In our visit to Lexington we went three times, twice in one day! Oh myyyyy the pimento scone biscuit thing, I’m in love. And they had a gourmet oatmeal pie from a local company, we just kept buying them! The drinks are fabulous, we tried the “The Principal” and “The Teacher” plus later on one afternoon we tried a refresher type drink that delicious on a hot day. Service was impeccable and friendly. We’ll revisit Old School every trip!
Beth A — Google review
As someone who loves coffee and trying out new cafes, I have been to many coffee shops. Old School Coffee is the best coffee shop in Lexington! The inside of the building was house-like and super cool! The cozy atmosphere offers such a cozy vibe for a cafe; it’s somewhere I would study or catch up with friends. I ordered a basic iced latte, however their menu offers various specialty lattes with unique syrups and fun names. The coffee was bold, but not too strong. They have pastries and a wide variety of specials. Old School has drinks called “The Teacher”, “The Student”, “The Librarian", and more. which I thought was such a fun touch to tie in The University of Kentucky. It is also very accessible to UK, specifically North Campus. The service was very friendly and fast. My experience at Old School Coffee was super positive and I will definitely be back to try different things!
Christine E — Google review
Came into the city a few weeks ago from where I was camping to get a break from the heatwave ...my thing is trying new coffee shops where I can sit and enjoy reading, and I enjoyed visiting this place. Free parking, which was a big plus ...easy to get to and find, plenty of indoor seating. The coffee was good, and the staff were kind and friendly. Sure, the place was a little loud because of acoustics, but not *super* noisy ...I was still able to read comfortably while sitting there without too much distraction. It was just a nice, cool (figurately and literally) place to relax and read!
Alias P — Google review
Excellent coffee shop with a great selection of unique coffee drinks and yummy donuts on certain days. There's seating inside and out in the hallway of the building. The staff is super nice and accommodating.

Brevede Coffee Co. is a charming coffee shop located in the Distillery District of Lexington, Kentucky. Owned by Viorika and Nik Kopets, the cafe has deep roots in Eastern Europe. The shop recently expressed its support for Ukrainian refugees and plans to collaborate with patrons to aid those affected by the crisis. Despite opening during the pandemic, Brevede Coffee Co. has become a beloved part of the local coffee scene and is known for its picturesque setting within the historic Distillery District.
I have never been to this location before, but I absolutely found a new favorite spot. I did not know the history or the background but since I have children in the Seattle area, it made me especially interested. I love Paalm 90:12 on the wall. Cool space and my Mexican mocha was excellent. Must read their “About” page.

We are traveling through the area and we always try to support local so we found this place. I absolutely loved it! Being a coffee shop owner myself i truly appreciated all this shop had to offer. Plenty of seating, great prices, great coffee and more. I can tell this shop truly appreciated the craft of coffee itself which is so refreshing. If you’re looking for a REAL coffee shop that trains their staff to appreciate the art of coffee this is your place. The staff was very kind and everything was clean and well done. Thank you Brevedé!
Melissa S — Google review
This place has such a cozy and trendy vibe. The atmosphere is great & there’s plenty of seating (tables & chairs along with sofas). I ordered an iced Miel with oat milk and it is seriously fantastic. My only complaint is that they only have 1 size (12 oz) which is a bummer because I could definitely consume about 30 oz of this delicious coffee. My husband ordered the cold brew & he’s really enjoying it. If you’ve read any of my other reviews then you’ll know that we make it a point to try different coffee shops across the US while we travel, so we know our coffee. The barista measured out the ingredients for the Miel, so you know that every time you go it will be deliciously consistent (such a problem at many coffee shops! Please, local coffee shops of America, stop eyeballing your drinks and measure. It ensures that your loyal customers get a great drink. Every time.) So glad Brevede has mastered this! I highly recommend and don’t think you’ll be disappointed in any capacity.

Had the creamiest tastiest cortado maybe ever? I was visiting from NYC and this place made Brooklyn coffee shops look bad. The sweetest young woman made my drink too! Beautiful environment. 11/10

Been in here a few times. The staff are always friendly and the seating options are many. I generally get their espresso which is great but also love the Cafe Miel. This location is quite large and lots of seating but they get quite busy and it can be pretty loud. If you’re looking to study. It can be a challenge. I am sure if you pick a good time that won’t matter.

Love the coffee shop atmosphere. It’s very pretty inside. I got a regular croissant and it’s one of the best ones I’ve ever tried!! the coffee I got was honey cinnamon latte with oat milk because it was highly recommended by a few of my friends. It was OK but the cinnamon was a little overpowering. Would try something else on my next visit. A good place for studying, but I would recommend headphones.
Danasha S — Google review
Super cute cafe! I love the interior and there are lots of tables. The cafe isn’t very loud, making it a great place to meet friends or get work done. The staff was very friendly and they have oat milk. Unfortunately, they don’t have any vegan food options, so I hope they will add that in the future.

Stopped by while i was visiting Lexington. This block is all fancy out of no where lolol but i vibing. This cafe has a huge space. I mainly saw students and family coming in and out. The noise is pretty up there but you can choose to sit in more quieter areas since this place is huge. Pastry was good. Cappuccino was good. It looks better in the photos in my opinion.

When in Lexington, or if I even have free time, I make a point to come by Manchester ! Personally, this is in a battle for best cup of coffee and atmosphere in the state, alongside Harden Coffee in Campbellsville. Always nice service, knowledgeable and fast! Helpful with flavors and suggestions, they ROAST THEIR OWN BEANS!!! I’ve taken beans home, and they’re fantastic. I typically go with their cold brew, which is among my favorite anywhere in the nation. Their in house latte is also a knock out of the park. Excellent place to get some work done individually or as a group. Large tables, couches, etc. I’m a frequent for a reason. I’ll drive about 45 min out of my way to swing by! Cool Merch. Cool people. Great coffee. GREAT COOKIE!

I came here this afternoon and the atmosphere spoke for itself. Very mellow, cheerful and artistic moods are set with the unique decor. Some of the best coffee available in Lexington, all locally roasted. Their specialty and flavored drinks are consistently delicious, and their pour overs and espresso shots are wonderful on their own. Staff is friendly and always nice and communicative when I've placed orders online as well. Despite living many states away now, I've almost exclusively switched to using Manchester's beans for my home brews and espresso drinks.

Go treat yo self for Valentine’s Day at this cute shop that has so many goodies! Coffee, food, jewelry, greeting cards, candles, clothes etc. This place has it. I had a wonderful experience picking out new jewelry and some cold brew coffee as well!

I had been wanting to stop in for a while but was struggling to find time as I work a 9-5, but I am SO glad I made time! This is one of my favorite spots I’ve been able to spend some time at while in Lexington! First, the sandwich and food selection is EXPANSIVE and my sandwich was absolutely DELICIOUS. I ordered a Cranberry-Orange sandwich, which had turkey, lettuce, and bacon, too. I have been thinking about this sandwich for almost two weeks now. It was amazing. I want to return to try other menu options. My friend and I both loved our coffee orders, as well. Beyond this, the staff were genuinely so kind, helpful, welcoming, and fun. I felt so happy to be there and had a lovely time chatting with the employees. They were also very efficient. Finally, if you love small businesses and handmade art/jewelry/products, you NEED to stop in and check out High On Art and Coffee. My friend and I wandered around looking at the handmade jewelry, soaps, crafts, wood carvings, and so much more! We each ended up buying things that we both wear all of the time! As soon as time allows, I WILL be back. I cannot recommend this coffee shop enough!

We rushed in right as they were closing, and they still were so friendly and let us order! The shop had super funky art and jewelry for sale, with really fun decor!

High on Art was in a very cute and in a pretty town, being that I'm from out of state it was really fun to explore. The inside was super pretty and bigger than what was really shown online. Due to the holidays the place was decorated which made it even better. There was seating for those who chose to. They also had an amazing gift shop filled with good gifts that can be given to many. I didn't get any of the items served but my friends did and they enjoyed everything they bought, but mainly the sandwiches. I overall just loved the vibe of High on Art. The people were extremely nice and just great. I would rate High on Art five stars, I truly loved it and think everyone should go.

My boyfriend and I just moved in down the street from High On Art and Coffee. It is a very quaint, cute place, with an attractive interior, and outdoor seating. The customer service is amazing, everyone who works here is so sweet and considerate. The food is sooooo good, definitely with the try. We personally love the smoothies! The sandwiches are amazing, and you have the freedom to add or take away whatever you need. I bought the avo-gobble sandwich and added all base veggies (I Believe, onion, tomato, spinach). He bought a breakfast sandwich, bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel, and a crangerie turkey club on a croissant. All of the food was excellent!! Drinks wise we got a strawberry, banana, peanut butter smoothie, and a chai. The chai is VERY sweet, a dessert!

My client referred me to this place & boy was he right about the food! I ordered the the club club on sourdough w/ provolone added spinach & avocado. Honey mustard & garlic mayo...hold the onions plz. Honestly it was way more than I could handle & tasted even better than it looks! I ordered the meaty chili but I'll have to save it for tomorrow since I'm stuffed! Friendly staff clean polite and fast service. So glad I was told about this hidden little mom & pop shop. Their menu is quite large & has anything you can think of especially with coffees sandwiches & treats plus so much more. You really should try this spot! You won't be disappointed!

McLeod's Coffee House is a new Lexington coffee house that is run by a retired pastor who has a special interest in helping people with special needs. He hopes to show them that they are just like everyone else and that they have the same potential and worth.
February 22, 2025 My husband and I stopped by for coffee but were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food options available. We decided to try the biscuits and gravy, which were not only delicious but also incredibly affordable. The coffee shop has a unique and eclectic charm, with its diverse decorations and cozy atmosphere. I especially loved the faith-based music playing in the background and seeing Bible study groups gathered here. The service was quick and friendly, adding to the overall welcoming vibe. It’s also wonderful that this establishment provides job opportunities for individuals with disabilities—a truly special place we’d love to visit again!

If you are looking for the perfect eclectic, artsy coffeehouse vibe look no further! I saw this place on Tik Tok and decided to stop by on my trip to Lexington. It was absolutely wonderful service and my sister and I were immediately greeted the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had the banana bread chai with a quad espresso and my sister had the peppermint hot chocolate. Both were absolutely delicious. I love the cause they support. If I lived in Lexington. I would come here everyday. Definitely make this a coffee stop in Lexington:)

Today is the first time for me to come to this place. I was only stopby to try a new coffee shop. I don't know this is a nonprofit organization helping people and actually a community center, which is wonderful! Back the to coffee, I'm a home barista pull my own espresso and make latte art everyday and I like the latte from this coffee house very much. It's great. To my surprise, the price is lower than the main coffee chains. With this quality, I have to buy a bag of whole beans they use for their espresso. I'm very happy to find this gem in Lexington. This place, people here, the coffee itself, they make my day.

I went to this shop with a friend and I’ve found my new favorite coffee shop in Lexington. The employees, patrons, and atmosphere were all so welcoming and I enjoyed the chats I had. The coffee was also very good with many options and much more affordable than going to a coffee chain. There was tons of local artwork for sale and adorable mismatched furniture. I highly recommend this place! For anyone who does not know this shop is a non-profit that employs adults with disabilities and donates to many causes that support minorities, so your money is going to a good cause!

What an amazing place! The iced mocha was delicious. The owner was so kind and spoke with us about the mission of the store and the history of what lead him to opening it. The staff were all very helpful and kind! All of the vintage items were so cool to look at. We will definitely be back.

First time here every one was friendly. I love the cozy vibes of the place a lot of interesting things to look at and even some art work and other things for sale. Chocolate Holler is not only in a good area, but it has more than enough room for me and my friends to study. They have a variety of my different drinks for people that include chocolate or no chocolate. They also serve ice cream which I will be back to try. But their items sold are just truly amazing. I went with my friend and she also mentioned how great the place was, and that she would be bringing her family and friends for homecoming week. They also have homemade treats on display. I had a confetti cookie and it was truly great. Lastly, the customer service was amazingly very helpful in explaining the different drinks as I was a newcomer. I would rate chocolate Holler and 4 out of 5.

Went there tonight for the first time and got a iced chocolate blossom with 3 shots of espresso... I will be returning... The flavor was deep, the coffee was strong, there was no bitterness, it was simply perfect. The Establishment was very coveted 19 friendly, all employees had masks and everybody inside were required to wear masks as well. The aesthetic of the establishment is absolutely gorgeous, very rustic and urban feeling.

As a flight attendant I love exploring the towns I visit and try to look for very obscure and local places. On this day it was quite chilly and I was looking for a good hot chocolate. I looked around Google maps and found this place. It is very quaint with a very modern environment. There were so many hot chocolate options I didn't know what to choose! The team member I spoke to was very helpful and at the end I chose the Snickerdoodle hot chocolate. It was very tasty! The rest of the team I dealt with were very kind, from the moment I entered and given a warm greeting to the moment I left and given a farewell. I highly recommend this place if you need a nice hot drink on a cold day(they do serve more than hot drinks).

Leestown Coffee House is a great place to go for coffee and pastries. They have friendly staff who are happy to offer advice on home brewing, and the coffee is fantastic--look at their menu (and for fall lovers, all the special flavors!). Definitely check it out!!!
Went here and got some seasonal fall items. They include - Cookie Butter Frappe (gluten free) - Reece Pieces Pop tart (gluten free) Cookie butter frappe was pretty good, it doesn't really remind me of Cookie butter all too much, but by no means was it bad. The Reece Pieces Poptart was very good. The crust on the pop tart was a bit dry and crumbly, but when you get a bit with the filling it tastes pretty good. The Reece pieces also add a nice subtle crunch in the mix. Overall my experiences at this location have been fantastic. Service is incredible, the atmosphere is really chill and adds positively to the dining experience. And lastly of course, the food and drinks are noteworthy and are 100% better than any Starbucks coffee or snack. Eat here now. Now. Like right now

I love the mural on the building, very inviting. The atmosphere inside is chill and laid back mid afternoon. Vibes are a little scattered but overall it's a great coffee house. The banaoffe pie is FIRE 🔥 I LOVE IT! Unfortunately I came because I seen they had peach coffee cake on the menu but they only had it available the one day it whenever that was so it should be removed from the website as an option. I was very sad about that not be available but I get it summer is almost over. Peach 🍑 availability isn't the best anymore. The veggie burrito was much smaller than I expected an it was very bland for a veggie burrito 🌯😔 over 6-7/10

My family was visiting from Texas and we decided to stop by LeesTown Coffee House — and it did NOT disappoint! I ordered a hot vanilla latte, a Lucky Charms latte, and an apple fritter, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The vanilla latte was the best I’ve had in years! You can really tell the baristas put care and love into their craft. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!

I finally got to try Leestown Coffee and can’t wait to go back! I ordered inside and the shop is so cute and clean! The staff welcomed me in so warmly. I tried the strawberries and cream matcha, I saw them making one for the drive thru and the barista said it was a favorite when I asked. I didn’t wait long and it was AMAZING! My first ever matcha and I’m obsessed! They have so many options for drinks and food, and help support MANY other local businesses it looks like. Such a wholesome coffee shop and a wonderful experience!

Best coffee + breakfast combo in Lexington, bar none. We come here every week for the seasonal lattes, jalapeno cheddar bagels, amazing cold brew, and perfect vibes. The folks who work here have been A+ fantastic to us every single time, couldn't recommend this place enough.
Erin L — Google review
Not going to actually rate lower than 5 because I know how drastic low star ratings can affect things. I love this place and the baristas are always super friendly and quick but I found that the cold brew is pretty inconsistent. Today I came through around 7 and the cold brew had a very weird aftertaste, reminded me of garlic. I only drank half of it before throwing it out. I will keep coming and probably order something different but I hope you guys can dial in the cold brew because on days that it’s good it’s easily my favorite in town. I would say there’s about a 25% of it tasting off and it made me sad to throw it out because I especially needed caffeine today…

Delicious coffee, very clean, modern, comfortable. Great lighting .Casual atmosphere but feels more upscale. Little comfort details throughout the space really make it stand out - for example, feminine hygiene products in the bathroom, a diaper changing table, Wi-Fi, comfortable booths and tables, compostable cups, etc. you can also make some purchases for the home and as gifts, like beautiful mugs and whole coffee beans.

Java Jukebox is a cozy and laid-back coffee shop located on the edge of downtown. Despite its small size, it offers a relaxed atmosphere with free WiFi and a few seats available. The menu may not be extensive, but the items they do offer are crafted with excellence. Customers rave about the Americano, describing it as the best cup of coffee they've ever had. The owner, Lane, is highly praised for his friendliness and culinary skills.
Went there early this morning, the food was great and the employees were kind and welcoming! The chef brought the food to us and asked us how everything was. The food was really great overall and they had amazing prices. Even though I wasn't a big fan of the cinnamon roll, everything else was great; french toast sandwich, lattes, and pancakes. It takes a little longer for the food to get to you but give them some grace, it's only two people! If you're looking to support local, this is the place. I recommend for sure.

This was the only place open for coffee when I came here for a work trip on a Sunday. They saved all of my staff. It was the weekend of graduation and no doordash could get through to us via a Starbucks so I set out on foot to get us coffee. I literally walked from the arena to this place in under 10 minutes. I ordered food for about six people and they were slammed but it was worth the wait. The food is absolutely amazing. I trotted around the neighborhood while I waited for my large order and it was so cute with a lot of historical buildings. The gal at the counter made all my drinks perfectly and everyone made sure everything was packed and ready to go. I literally ran back to the college and fed my team with the to-go food and they were very happy- so much so they talked about the food into the afternoon. Thank you so much for your amazing culinary expertise but also being really cool and cute. There's definitely a jukebox but also a Nintendo switch if you have the time!

I love great food, great atmosphere and seedy dive bars and this place hits all the right buttons for that. Went to the new location on Land Allen and had their breakfast bowl. I got the smaller one and it was too big to finish. The taste was amazing. The staff friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be going back. It’s a great alternative to the stereo typical brunch spots that feel overly girly. I told my boyfriend who went with me that if dudes did brunch that would be the perfect place for a dude brunch.

We stopped here on Saturday, 11/2/24. There was a short line and it moved very quickly. Such a cute little coffee shop! We loved that they had pieces of paper you could decorate and tape to the walls. I got the White Mocha and it was delicious!

I had high hopes for Nate's espresso, but it unfortunately follows the precedent established by nearly every independent coffee shop I've visited, by producing sour, unpleasant espresso. Nate's was better than many of the small town coffee shops, but still unable to produce a good pull of espresso. It should be earthy, smokey, and a little sweet. Not sour. And there's an Ayn Rand book on their shelf, which is dorky. Good service, though.
Martin W — Google review
Maybe I’m exposing my naivety as a Brit travelling in Kentucky, but I think I expected some Southern hospitality in Lexington. We did have some warmth in certain places, but Nate’s was ice cold. Our coffees were pretty good (although I’m a bit of a coffee connoisseur denier), the $3 self toasted bagel was fine (toaster was a bit dirty), but the staff were standoffish and snarky. Alright Nate, just because you’ve rounded up some kooky teens to pour hot water through beans, it doesn’t mean we need a side of stink eye. Also the muffin was trash, the wife couldn’t even finish it.

Genesis Coffee House & Eatery, located at Forbes Rd Ste 130, offers a unique drink called the Cookie Monster Latte, which is a chocolate chip cookie dough flavored latte topped with blue frosting, whipped cream, sprinkles and mini chocolate chip cookies. The place also serves delicious breakfast options like Egg, Bacon and Cheese Croissant and crispy breakfast potatoes. Visitors praise the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.
Tucked away in a small shopping strip is gem of a brunch and coffee shop. There is an expansive menu, from a simple egg and cheese biscuit to many variations of breakfast platters. My egg and cheese biscuit was delicious, the biscuit wasn’t too thick like some places. I got a flavored latte with Carmel and vanilla. Delicious, I’ll be back!!

Diamond 💎 In The Rough!!! I just so happened to stumble across this small very personalable eatery. 1st and foremost I just love the welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. The lady who took my order was extremely nice and was patient as looked at the menu and ordered my food. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese croissant with seasoned potatoes. Everything I had was absolutely delicious. The potatoes was seasoned to perfection and tender. The croissantwas great as well. This is definitely a nice little brunch/lunch spot. The mango lemonade was delicious as well.

The cafe has received high praise for its clean and beautiful space, as well as its friendly and caring staff. Customers have raved about the delicious food and coffee, as well as the ample seating options both indoors and outdoors.
Such a great place!! I have struggled to find good coffee in Lexington, but this place is amazing! Such a cute atmosphere. Huge outdoor area, perfect for summer! Everyone is very friendly and engaging. I do wish they had a simple bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich😊

*Vegetarian* Best bagel sandwich spot I’ve ever been to! They have a variety of cream cheeses all house made to choose from and they are phenomenal. I ended up ordering 4 times! The sandwich is carefully crafted so that it is not overpowering on the cream cheese and has the perfect amount of veggies/toppings. The staff are very friendly and great people. The atmosphere is the extremely calming, they have a cozy indoor environment but the outdoor patio seating is very vast and all made of handmade wooden furniture. It is an amazing experience that you should go out of your way for. I will definitely visit again when i’m in the area.

*VEGETARIAN * Nice veggie bagel sandwich. Their everything bagel is really nice . Three pepper cream spread and onion spread are really good too. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone works here pretty nice. We were visiting this place and we were new in the area. They guide us pretty well with everything.

This was the cutest place! Went with a group for coffee and was pleasantly surprised by delicious sandwich options?? Flavors I didn’t ever think would go together were delicious. Our barista was incredibly sweet, super helpful, and even gave us samples of different spreads to make sure we’d like what we order! All in all, big fan with plans to be back!
Erica H — Google review
The kickin chicken bagel was delicious. I went in around noon on a Saturday. The line was long but they moved people through quickly and had someone handing out samples of the cream cheese which helped make the time in line more pleasant. Every person I interacted with was so genuine and sweet! I had set up a laptop to do some work and someone checked in and asked if the environment was good for work (it was). There was also live music, which I don’t tend to like, but the performer was talented and it ended up being nice as background music (it was kind of loud but I was a room away). The coffee was also delicious, I had the caramel delight. It did feel kind of expensive ($19 for bagel and coffee) but was very filling and truly delicious.
Natasha J — Google review
Definitely would go back and try other bagel options because these three were good! We went with a spicy chicken version (Derrick), a pimento/pepper jack version (me), and tried a lemon curd cream cheese on a blueberry bagel and it was 🤤 (but too sweet and that's a "me" problem).
Angela M — Google review
Decent food and drink but the wait is so slow! I did stop by on a weekend morning to be fair. However, it took about 40 minutes to get a coffee and a simple bagel with just a spread. Luckily I wasn’t in a rush but it was disappointing waiting so long for a meal that could be finished in few minutes and still be hungry after. Dirty vanilla chai and the French toast bagel with maple spread tasted like a normal solid combo!
Mindy N — Google review
If you’re gluten-free, you have to check out Grounded All Day — their options are actually delicious! I had the Katniss without wontons on a gluten-free bagel, and it was absolutely fantastic. The shredded chicken with fig spread was the perfect combo — flavorful, satisfying, and honestly one of the best gluten-free bagels I’ve ever had. My husband had a blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese and loved his too, and my latte was perfectly made and hit the spot. The space itself is super cute, thoughtfully designed, and they’ve got a beautiful outdoor seating area that’s ideal for relaxing. The staff were wonderful, and the owner made our experience extra special — taking time to chat, explain the menu, offer samples, and even share great local recommendations for the rest of our Bourbon Trail adventure. Five stars all the way — from the food to the people to the atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

In addition to its coffee offerings, The Human Bean is known for its delicious boba drinks like the 'Espresso Boba,' which combines espresso with milk tea and chewy boba pearls.
I can't say enough great things about the awesome staff here and the excellent espresso and coffee. They're always so fast, friendly, and efficient, and genuinely kind. Customer service is 💯. They should totally have a hose and slip-slide for staff doing the drive thru orders in this crazy hear, because they totally deserve it

Adorable little spot. Coffee was great, and the staff were welcoming. It's drive through only but there is a small area where you can walk up and order too. There might be a sitting area but I don't remember.

I got the Java Chip decaf and it was Amazing! Iced, chocolate coffee beverage. You can taste the chips as well. It was decaf instead of passing off regular coffee as decaf like how some other places would do. Friendly staff and the place looked great. I went through the drive thru and only tried this beverage. My first time being here and I loved it and the drink. Go get you a drink. They sell more items than coffee drinks.
Casey M — Google review
I would not leave a bad review of a food place unless I faced consistent problem. I used to love going to the Human Bean I'm getting my drink in the morning, I normally get a matcha latte. The past several times it has been almost flavorless and pretty much like ordering a watered-down hot milk. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I will say the people are always in a good mood especially for being so early in the morning and there are quick with the service, but the drinks are disappointing

Stopped here for coffee on the way to hospital on Sunday morning. The barista was super helpful, talking me out of the “extra shot” I thought I needed to get me thru this crisis. I’d never been here before so we talked thru my regular order that I get at “the other place” & ended up with a perfect hot macchiato. As I rolled up to the window I heard cheering… they said that my drink turned out beautifully! They said that making iced drinks was boring & that the hot ones were way more beautiful! Another barista poked her head around the window & said “I had so much fun making this!!” Totally made my morning, so thanks!☺️ I needed that!! I’ll be back!

Dutch Bros Coffee is a lively drive-thru coffee shop that offers a variety of customized coffees, Rebel energy drinks, cold brew, and tea. With its recent expansion to Lexington, it has quickly gained popularity for its delicious lattes and quick service. Customers appreciate the affordable pricing and the extensive menu featuring quality drinks with less sugar. Many are hoping for an expansion closer to areas like Cincinnati to enjoy their favorite beverages more frequently.
Now I see why the stock price is going up and up with this company!! Really nice drinks ! I definitely prefer Dutch Bros over Starbucks !! My only suggestion would be to have easier access to get here it’s annoying trying to get there from New Circle Rd depending on the direction you come from .

The Dutch Bros in Lexington has been a 10/10 experience every time I have went. The workers are so nice and engage in conversations. I feel so comfortable every time I’m talking to an employee; they all are so sweet. I had 5 different orders one time and they were able to easily handle it while still conversating and making it an easy transaction. The drinks are amazing and come out quick. The line is never too long and goes quickly. Its definitely one of my top coffee places and I highly recommend to everyone. They have an indoor area that you can hang out with friends in. I’ve had both coffee and lemonade drinks, and both are great quality and taste. My go to recently has been their pumpkin chai, it’s one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Dutch Bros is great coffee place, and anyone will be able to find a drink they enjoy!!!

Dutch Bros has delicious iced lattes and blended lemonades. The service is quick and the staff are super friendly. At first they gave me a plain latte and didn’t hear me say Vanilla Latte but they were quick to fix it. They offered to give me a cup of syrup on the side to flavor/sweeten it however much I wanted. They were apologetic, quick to fix the problem and understanding

The guy at the drive through today (March 22 9 am) was amazing! We are new to Dutch bros and it was a great first impression, we have been looking for an alternative for Starbucks and we’ve found it! They were all considerate and amazing about my strawberry allergy when I got a lemonade :) hoping Dutch bros expands more to the north! 🤞🤞🤞 sincerely thank you too the workers from all of us :)

Dutch Bros Coffee is my favorite place to get a fun drink in Lexington. My favorite things about going to Dutch Bros is that they always have new things to try. The staff is always so positive, and they put me in a good mood for my day especially when I was on the way to my high school. I would tell a stranger that has never been to Dutch bros before to get the app and see what other drinks they have because they have so much more that is not on the menu in the drive through. They have many syrups and flavors for the energy drinks and coffees. And I love the seasonal drinks that they offer in the fall or winter. Dutch Bros is defintiely worth a visit, especially if you are coming from out of town or even if you have just moved to Lexington and do not have a Dutch Bros where you are from.

Absolutely love this place, and i come back frequently! As a non-coffee lover, I love crafting my own versions of their Rebel energy drinks. The chocolate chip muffin top is amazing car food and very yummy, the employees are super friendly and chill, and the process is very simple. The prices are a little expensive, but I frequently come here during a mid-day break or to start off my morning with great flavors and kind service!

Not the besr coffee for me. But I give 5 stars because they were open late, the music was loud and the guy who took my order was like, super chill and cool. Thanks Dude, whoever you were, for trying to fix me awesome mocha coffee! This place has a neat vibe. So, if my good to is not open I will come here.

The drinks are cheaper than Starbucks and taste much better, too. The staff was friendly and very helpful to a new customer like me. The ordering was fast, and the drinks were ready before I got to the window! This will be the new place my wife and I buy our coffee.

Kenwick Table is a charming cafe located in the Kenwick neighborhood, offering a bright and spacious indoor seating area as well as some outdoor seating. In the mornings, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast items, while in the evenings, patrons can enjoy cocktails, small plates, and live music. The cafe has received mixed reviews on its staff and service but is praised for its cozy ambiance with big sunny windows.
Kenwick Table is one of my favorite places to meetup for a small, casual work meeting or lunch with a friend. I’ve also attended live performances here. The charcuterie boards are lovely and lunch has never disappointed. Last time I had the chicken salad and it was delicious and so fresh!
Brittany F — Google review
The Kenwick Table is a delightful coffee shop that has quickly become a favorite! If you're a mocha lover, you're in for a treat – their mochas are generously sized and absolutely delicious, striking the perfect balance between rich chocolate and bold coffee. Beyond the excellent drinks, the latte art here is truly impressive. Each cup feels like a little work of art, adding an extra touch of enjoyment to your coffee. Paying is also a breeze with the convenience of mobile tap-to-pay. Adding to the cozy atmosphere is a very friendly house cat, who seems to enjoy greeting customers and adding a touch of homey charm. The only minor consideration is parking. Street parking can be a bit limited, especially during busier times. However, a fantastic bonus is the availability of the Victory Christian Church parking lot nearby when the church isn't holding services. This makes it much easier to find a spot. Overall, The Kenwick Table offers a wonderful coffee experience with great drinks, beautiful presentation, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We stopped in here after the Bungalow tour- it was busy for a Sunday afternoon but the stag handled the crowd quickly, and with some kindness. The coffee and bourbon drink I ordered was nice and flavorful, the pistachio cake was moist and delicious. We sat outside on the back patio and it was absolutely glorious! Looked like a large variety of food items that we will be sure to try out the next time we are there. We plan to be back soon!!!

How am I just hearing about this place?! A really enjoyable atmosphere. I couldn’t get over how much I loved the indirect, layered lighting throughout the space, which highlighted art on the walls. I had a delicious sandwich and coffee while I got some remote work done.

This is an awesome find! I needed a place to work while my husband was with clients that had great coffee and food! And there is bourbon!! Then we stopped back in on our way home, Thursday, and there was a jazz band playing! What a great concept to be like in the middle of a neighborhood!

Arrived meeting a friend playing some music on a weekday open mic night. They had a host of local musicians that were all so incredibly talented. It was a cool spring evening, but warm enough to have the doors opened which I loved. The restaurant beats to its own drum and offers an incredible vibe/ambiance. They have many seats inside where you could sit with a stranger or in a private setting for 2/4/or more tables and chairs around an opened area room. There was a coach cozy corner/nook area, and another place where it splits apart close to windows. (Yet it's still an opened area to see and listen to music.) There was also a large seating area in the back of the building outside which was wonderful. (& the cutest kitty that roams outside as well.) It's also kid friendly!! They had different foods to choose from. Things such as a sausage casserole dish (served hot,) cold cut croissant sandwiches, desserts, muffins and pastries. An assortment of different hot and cold coffees and teas, along with some adult-alcoholic beverages offered as well. The price point ranged for one person to eat something and get a beverage is around $15-$20, I believe. I was pleasantly surprised at the end of the evening (right before close,) they placed their leftover sandwiches that weren't sold to be given out freely rather than just throwing it away. (I myself can appreciate that.) The service was great! The employees were great! Everything was 👌🏼! Parking is along the street (that I saw,) as it's location is in a neighborhood. I thought it was a house! All that being said, it's the most quaint, vibe-y, cozy, yummy, laid back, artsy- little digs. I will be back!! Really glad my friend Derek introduced me to this new awesome local place!

While the drinks may be average, the lively ambiance makes it an ideal location for hangouts and role-playing games.
This local gem is amazing! Great place to gather with friends, but be sure to reserve a table, especially if you have a large party! Weekends are pretty busy all the time, where d&d and other tabletop tournaments are held. The employees are wonderful, and everyone is pleasant! They have a wide selection of drinks, ranging from coffees to hot chocolate to Italian cream sodas where you can pick a flavor from their long list of choices! And they have nice and clean bathrooms!

Chaotic Good is certainly a place that you want to visit when you're in Lexington! I have not been here long and this place has quickly become a favorite of mine to visit! The environment and the people are so welcoming. The employees here are so sweet and patient with customers! I have always loved board games and this place is so much fun to visit! They also host lots of fun events throughout the year which I hope to attend! I love being able to just pick a boardgame, find a table, and start playing. They also sell trading cards, comic books, and the like. You don't really have to wait long for your food/beverages and there is a variety of different seating options inside. A unique feature I saw with this store is that they have a trading card library where you can put in trading cards you no longer need/want and take a card for each one you put in! All in all, I would definitely encourage anyone in the area to visit this establishment and have a great time!

We had the most amazing experience here! I had an hour, and I had to kill when my daughter was down the street at artworks. We walked in the door it's just a very warm atmosphere everybody seem to be having a great time. They have game tables going on all over people drinking coffee it was just the perfect setting. We ordered the flight of iced lattes and were able to pick the floor flavors we wanted, and they were wonderful! The best part of our night was the awesome "Mom" that was working and served us. We had a little one with us, and she heard us tell her she couldn't have the coffee. So she brought a small warm chocolate with lots of whipped cream on it! It was a precious effort above and beyond to make her night. Chaotic Good is excellent coffee, service, and fun!!

We have been coming to this coffee shop for years over the weekends and have gotten to know the staff really well. They all greet us with a smile when we come in and ask how we've been. When my daughter turned 13 this summer we decided to have a Dungeons and Dragons birthday party. The staff all helped to pull off the best birthday party with two table masters hosting one shots, and a beautiful charcuterie set up. It was perfect!!

I don't see how anyone could give this place anything less than 5 stars. The people are so kind, it's always cozy and clean. Of course free games, it's open late which is a nice plus. I come here all the time either with friends or to do my class work. I specifically LOVE their coffee. I also very rarely have to wait any more than 10 minutes for my order, and even that might be a stretch. If they're not busy sometimes they'll even bring it out to you which I think is really nice.

5/17/25 My husband and I stopped in at Luna’s for a casual weekend breakfast and were impressed. We shared the salmon board on jalapeño bagel bread and it was delicious. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also ordered a couple of coffee drinks, and they came out quickly and were made just right. You can tell the baristas care about what they’re doing here. The ambiance is part of what makes Luna’s so special. The space is small but charming. Kinda quirky, cozy, and full of personality. It feels like a hidden gem, the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything we ordered came out promptly. We’ll definitely be back in the near future. Gotta try other items from their menu and maybe check out more butterflies 🦋

✨ Hidden gem alert! ✨ I stumbled on the most unexpectedly adorable spot less than 10 minutes from the new farm, and I have a feeling it’s going to become a regular stop for me. Luna’s Coffee, Wine & Butterfly House is tucked behind a gas station (easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there), but once you step inside it’s all charm—great coffee, tasty food, a thoughtful wine list, a solid bourbon selection, and beautiful decor. Even better, they’ve got a seasonal butterfly house that just makes the whole place feel magical. 🦋 And if Olivia is behind the counter, you’ll walk out with more than just caffeine—you’ll leave smiling and ready to take on the day. If you’re ever in Lexington, trust me, this is worth the stop. ❤️

My friend and I went here for the first time today. It is in a nice area. The area seems like it is up and coming. There’s a lot of new buildings and businesses. There is plenty of parking. It is free. It is very clean. Once you walk in you grab a menu and order at the bar. There is an area to purchase things, such as books, cards, mugs, etc. There is plenty of seating. There is also outdoor seating. We both ordered the cinnamon roll waffle. It was delicious. I got an iced vanilla latte and my friend got a coffee. We shared a charcuterie board. Everything we had was delicious. The staff were very friendly and our food and drinks arrived quickly. They do have live butterflies but they weren’t there today. They told us it will probably be a couple of weeks before they have them. There is a greenhouse area to explore around back but we ran out of time and didn’t get to explore it. We will definitely be back though. I highly recommend. Overall, it is super cute and the food/drinks are phenomenal. We can’t wait to go back to see the butterflies!

Stayed at downtown hotel. Drove here and found I could not go inside. Ordered from app. Somehow vanilla got added to the order of the triple non-fat latte. ??? Traffic flow is terrible. Pickup is neither at drive thru or walk up. However people in drive thru can order. So if you are picking up, you will have to wait behind people ordering.
Michael K — Google review
I place the order online. When I arrived a very short time later, there were seven or eight cars in the Drive-Thru line, so I took my place. The cars moved quickly and I got to the window a little faster than expected. When I gave them my name, I was fussed at for arriving to soon and was told that they had only received the order approximately 2 minutes ago. I beg to differ, but who's to quibble over a couple of minutes. Well, apparently they do. The app indicated my order would be ready in 4-7 minutes. (I have the screenshot if they want proof.) It was more than 4 minutes from the time I placed the order and the time I arrived at the window. I'm sorry for not knowing how many other online orders had been placed, right? What I did not appreciate was that I was fussed at for not adequately predicting the amount of time required between placing my order, getting in line, and getting to the window. I certainly didn't know how many orders have been placed in front of me It didn't seem like it was worth the amount of oxygen it took for the employee to fuss at me over this. This location has eliminated in store seating, and doesn't allow customers inside at all. There is limited parking, and it was raining, so it would have been very difficult to walk up to the window and wait for my order to be given to me. This has to be the most unfriendly Starbucks location anywhere. They don't even try to offer a pleasant customer service experience. There's another location in town that doesn't have in-store seating, but at least they allow customers to come inside and wait for a drink. Would it really be that difficult to allow that here? In any event, that seems irrelevant to being fussed at for arriving too early to pick up my drink at the drive-thru. Come on, Starbucks. You can do better than this.
Robert J — Google review
Brought my own cup and told them that when ordering, when I get to the window and hand my cup out the guy says he'll bring the drink over and pour it in my cup at the window when it's ready.. he then comes over and tells me he needs my cup because my drink had a cold foam topping. Turns out he didn't put it in the system that I brought my own cup, so I didn't get my bonus points or my discount. Also forgot to give us straws.

Common Grounds Coffee House is a cozy and relaxed spot in Lexington, offering live music and open-mike nights. It's known for its delicious sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast burritos made with fresh ingredients. The coffee is highly praised, with many visitors opting to take home a bag of their beans. The ambiance is described as a mix of hipster and college-kid vibes, with various rooms to hang out in.
I love this coffee shop! Brought a friend recently and she loved it too. The decor is hipster meets poor college kid. Many different rooms to hang out in. The coffee is fantastic! The scone was a bit bland, I could provide tips on that, but all in all. It’s great and I’ll be back.

Good coffee. The place was really dirty and the service people were more interested in their own conversation that customers. I don’t like Starbucks coffee, but at least the staff there cares about keeping the place nice. The owner here has decided they’re making so much from their customers - that’s where it begins and ends. Check out the photo - there was no trash can present. So the counter was the trash can. The register was spattered with dried up coffee.

I was looking for good coffee in Lexington and found it. Very chill place. I also got a breakfast burrito. What a great choice. Good quality, fresh ingredients. Made to order. Much better than you could ever get from a chain. The coffee was so good I grabbed a bag of beans for home.

Great place for coffee and the food is surprisingly good. Nice place to get some work done.

This coffee house is amazing! The service is great and personal, the drinks are typically made quickly, and the food is fresh and homemade. I would definitely recommend, especially for people visiting Lexington, as an example of a relaxing and comfortable environment. Also, open mic night on Monday nights is fantastic! Local artists can come in and it adds to the experience. Definitely a good place to be.

My favorite coffee shop in Lexington - awesome place. Pretty grungy, but they've started to freshen up the main room (for better or worse). Local art available for purchase is hanging on the walls of most rooms. Coffee is great, and the staff are superb. They offer soy and almond milk for those who are non-dairy. There is also a food menu, but I have never ordered from it.

Great atmosphere, nice coffee. (House coffee a bit bitter for my liking, but others may love it.) The prices are reasonable as well. Should be on your list for a break from the mega corporate culture of a certain famous coffee chain... A nice place to send an hour or so...

This shop is very nice and cozy. It is a casual and relaxed setting. You can get breakfast and lunch there but I have not tried it yet. They're lattes are good. I highly recommend getting an soy latte. It is awesome! Also, a chocolate muffin never hurt anybody.

7 Brew Coffee is a local coffee shop that offers exclusive seasonal coffees, award-winning cold brew, and a variety of baked treats. The staff is known for their kindness and welcoming attitude towards customers, including furry friends. Customers appreciate the large portion sizes and affordable prices compared to other chains. The baristas are praised for their knowledge of the menu and their ability to make customers feel valued. Many patrons prefer 7 Brew Coffee over other popular coffee chains due to the superior quality of their beverages.
Our first time trying today. It was absolutely fabulous, the employees were quick with suggestions and were spot on! Excellent professionalism and customer service. Line was long but moved very quickly. Great job guys!! I got a pixie stick fizz and my husband the pixie stick energizer, both were so good!!

I absolutely love Seven Brew Drive Through Coffee, especially the one located on Richmond Road! The drinks are amazing, and there is a vast variety to try. The Brewistas at this location are always so kind and always complete my order pretty quickly. The lines at this Seven Brew Drive Through can sometimes be quite long, depending on the time and day you go; however, the workers are always very efficient with their time, which makes the lines and wait time go by really quickly. I love that Seven Brew Drive Through Coffee has so many fun seasonal flavors. Personally, my favorite seasonal flavors are the fall/pumpkin ones. If you are new to trying Seven Brew, like I was when I moved here, I would recommend trying the “Blondie” with pumpkin flavor in it. I would also highly recommend one of the Fizz energy drinks. I haven’t tried a flavor I haven’t liked.
Margaret A — Google review
7Brew is my FAVORITE coffee spot!! I love how customizable all of the drinks are. Because the drinks are so customizable the first time visiting can be a little overwhelming so definitely check the menu before you go(or ask a brewesta). It's a great spot to get your morning coffee as the prices are pretty comparable to many other popular coffee places. While yes 7Brew is mainly a drive through, some locations do have a walk up window. I also really appreciate how friendly the staff are. I have been to many locations in many different states and at every single one that I have visited the brewistas(7Brew employees) have been so nice. A few of them have even given me amazing drink recommendations. My favorite drink right now is a strawberry smoothie with chocolate blended into it. Another thing I think is super cool about 7Brew is how many promotions they do. Each month on the 7th day they do a promotion from seven in the morning to seven at night. This month (October 2025) they are giving out free tote bags with the purchase of two medium or large drinks. They also did a promotion on 9/29/2025 where they gave out free state stickers with any purchase. One thing that can be annoying is having to wait in super long lines during peak hours. But the lines do move quickly so you will only be adding a max of 10 extra minutes to your trip.

I ordered an iced pumpkin banana bread blondie with soft top + pumpkin drizzle. The young lady who took my order.. wasn’t frustrated with my order. 😊 They welcome your creativity! They have many different flavors of syrups and sauces to choose from. You can make your own drink or choose something from their menu. I have also ordered the Brunette iced coffee. It was really good as well. They have two drive thru lines and people who walk out to your car to take your order. Everyone was really nice and ask how your day is going. I will definitely return here in the future.
April R — Google review
The 7Brew in Lexington is a great drink place. They have a wide variety of options making it easy for anyone to find a drink they would like. My personal favorite is their 7 energy drinks! They aren’t too sweet and don’t make me too jittery. You can add in any type of syrup you want and customize it to your liking. The line can get a little long, but they do a great job getting everyone through as quickly as possible. They play music on a speaker which allows for a great vibe in the drive thru. Unfortunately, there is no inside seating so you cant hangout their. But, they make up for it through their workers. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Usually when I go I can be indecisive but the workers are always super helpful and patient! I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying a new coffee spot!
Genevieve M — Google review
7 Brew Coffee gets so busy but they do an amazing job keeping the drive thru lines running smoothly. They walk up to your window before even getting to the menu area where I would think an order would be taken. This definitely helps keep the lines moving but If someone has never been here before it makes it a little awkward because they won't be close enough to see the menu screens. This happened to me on my first visit but I noticed this and was able to pull up the menu on my phone before they've got to me. Great coffee and friendly service! I do wish they had more food besides just muffin tops which weren't the best but If anyone is just trying to get a coffee, I highly recommend.
Nicole O — Google review
I went the other day and it was my first time ever going , me and my mom both got a muffin top and a large coffee, I got a cinnamon roll one and she got the blondie one , they were really good I definitely recommend , it’s cheaper than Starbucks but Starbucks is better 100%.
Ella O — Google review
Ok...I've tried many times and they have failed. Our drinks were flavorless!! We requested sugar free Blondie with pumpkin spice and Funnel cake. It tasted like just frozen milk. I had to get back in line and ask them if they forgot the flavor. All the while my other drink was melting...20 mins later I received a new drink and refusal to remake the other drink even though it had been a total of 30 mins!! Sure...if sugar drinks were my choice maybe it would have some flavor but the sugar-free options suck!! Or is it the how they're making them??? It is not worth the money.

Nice little place. They also serve tea. There must have been some confusion because one of us asked if they could put sugar in our tea and they said no. We said no problem, we have our own stevia for sweetener. Then when we got our drinks they were both already sweetened. We thought they came plain, and one of us doesn't do sugar. Disappointed, but maybe it was all a misunderstanding.

Visitors praise the newly opened location in Lexington for its signature Iced Caramelicious drink, which offers a delightful blend of caramel sauce, milk, and espresso without being overly sweet.
Fun little coffee shop; love the Lucky Charms latte with cold foam! It's not too sweet and has smooth marshmallow flavor. Sad that it's a limited time only drink.

I love going to scooters to get the pup cup for my dog because it's the best one and its my nephews favorite thing to do. They always get my order wrong. I can't do whip cream and ordered both drinks without it today. One drink was fine but the other one had whip on it. I know they just scraped it off and I had a reaction.

I tried Scooters for the first time a couple of days ago, I had driven by it numerous times and just wondered about it. Well, it's good! They have good muffins, mini donuts, giant cookies, and good coffee. I used their drive thru, the service was very friendly and quick too. I had their blended caramelicous, yum! The mini donuts were a nice little treat, they're glazed and it's 3 in a small cup. The cookies were much bigger than I anticipated, it was like the size of my hand, or bigger. Overall, it was very good. I wish it was closer to me. Open one going out of Danville 😁 P.S.- the picture of my drink doesn't do it justice, it had been sitting in my car while I drove until I got a chance to take a picture of it, hence the sad looking whipped cream and caramel.

My fiancé and I have gone here multiple times and both the drinks and snacks have been consistently delicious! The staff here are hardworking and kind. Even though it’s hard to tell what the atmosphere is like inside since this is a takeout-only place, they have been friendly and prompt in their service each time. I mainly get their Peach Smoothie and it is absolutely delicious and refreshing. It is not too sweet and silky smooth. I recently also got their Two Fruit Smoothie option and combined the Strawberry with Peach smoothie flavours into one delicious blend. My fiancé likes to get their signature Caramelicious, iced or hot! We also tried their Caramel Cake Ball, which was very prettily decorated and tasty. Recently I got their Queen Frostine Sugar Cookie (limited edition for Christmas and their Candyland collaboration) and it was one of the best sugar cookies I’ve ever had! It had creamy-dreamy icing and the cookie itself was soft with just the right amount of chew to it. I definitely recommend this Scooter’s location to get delicious coffee, refreshing cold drinks and scrumptious snacks!

Such a nice little drive-through coffee shop! Yesterday, I visited Scooter's Coffee, a newly opened coffee place in Lexington. I decided to try their signature Iced Caramelicious drink, a delightful combination of caramel sauce, milk, and espresso. The drink was incredibly refreshing and delicious, and I highly recommend it. What I appreciated the most was that despite caramel being the foundation of the drink, it wasn't overly sweet. Moreover, the staff at Scooter's Coffee were extremely friendly. I stopped by around 8 pm, and fortunately, there wasn't a long line ahead of me.

First time here and we love it! We are typically sbux drinkers but wanted to give it a shot and glad we did they have many options of sugar free syrup choices making this place more accessible to those with this requirement. Pictured is the Turtle Latte with oat milk made with sugar free syrups but added whipped cream because why not. The other is a nitro brew black and white added vanilla. Both were good the girls that took care of us this early morning were very sweet and patient as they waited on us to check out their menu. We will be back for sure

Customers have praised the freshly made crepes that are generously topped and served warm. The cafe also serves a selection of hot beverages such as white mocha, Spanish latte, and Turkish coffee for those who enjoy strong coffee flavors.
AMAZING! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chill and clean atmosphere, excellent service and one of THE BEST crepes I have ever had! The Dubai crepe tasted like heaven. Deliciouslu creamy, crunchy, chocolatey with pistachios. Wow! The specialty latte and Americano were PERFECT. Perfectly drinkable right away, not scorching hot like other coffee shops. This place is an absolute gem. Highly recommend anything and everything here.

7/26/25 My husband and I stopped by Dip n Crepe for a dessert date after our dinner. He got a decaf espresso and we shared the banana wrap. It was loaded with Nutella and white chocolate, and honestly, so so good. It came out fast, hit the sweet tooth perfectly, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We definitely want to go back and try more crepes. Plus, it’s in a great location, right by the mall and across from the movies, so it’s perfect for a quick snack before heading to either. Highly recommend this spot!
World T — Google review
This place is awesome!!! We had 2 crepes, a Turkish coffee, and a Dubai strawberry cup. The Ferrero crepe is super chocolaty, smooth, rich, and velvety. The pistachio crepe was also amazing, with smooth pistachio cream and white chocolate. The Turkish coffee was steaming and strong and hit the spot. The Dubai strawberry cup is an amazing mix of these flavors and makes you understand why people pay $40 for the Dubai chocolate bars. This place is not to be missed. They also have great, upbeat music.
Albert R — Google review
The coffee here is amazing. I am super impressed with the pistachio latte, ice coffee, and frape. A bit of advice for the latte shake it up before drinking. The pistachio cream at the bottom will be mixed in the drink well. I didn't realize it was there until my drink was almost gone. The pistachio frape is one of the best drinks I have ever had. I come from CA, where there is a coffee shop on every corner, and I was missing my CA coffee until I found this shop. It's worth the drive from Winchester. Nothing in CA compares to this coffee place. I haven't tried the food. However, it looks super good. The presentation is very well done.

We visit this place regularly, absolutely the best place for an evening coffee or matcha, oh yes, their matcha is amazing, also the regular latte is quite better than in the same Starbucks, we also take waffles and pancakes, everything is very tasty, both sweet and salty, recently they also had Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup, it's something, I take it constantly, I definitely recommend it.

This place definitely deserves a lot of praise. Everything was great. The crepes were made in house, huge and worth every penny. I had the twix, my girlfriend had the Oreo (which I wanted to steal) and our friend had the Nutella. The owners were really cool. The coffee was delicious and the atmosphere was really cool. I wish this place all the luck and hope they are successful because we'll definitely be back. I hope they come out with some savory ones as well.

Great experience! Loved the decor and theme. The staff was super friendly and helpful in explaining the menu to us (first time visitors). They had a super cute selection of Harry Potter merch. I got the Butterbrew and it was very good! Also got a banana cinnamon muffin which was super tasty but a little crumbly.

SO AMAZING! It's such a cute, little, independent cafe! Admittedly, I'm a Harry Potter fanatic, so when I heard about this place I immediately added it to my calendar to stop by when I'm downtown for work. A lot of little Easter Eggs throughout the shop that add to the ambiance. Super friendly staff too.

I loved everything about this place and only wish it was closer to home, instead of 12 hours away. We stopped in on a rainy summer weekday morning in August and instantly felt cheered by the inviting atmosphere. I ordered a Butter Brew with Chai Tea - so yummy and perfect on a rainy day! I also purchased some Harry Potter pens to take home. Staff were friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions and helping me pick a great non-caffeinated drink. I highly recommend trying this place for yourself; would be a great way to spend a couple of hours solo or spending time with friends.

This café is so cute, cozy, and magical! I also want to applaud the inclusivity of this place, and how EVERYONE is welcome. The baristas were so kind and attentive. The atmosphere was top-notch: they were playing relaxing, magical music, candles hung from the ceiling (like in the Hogwarts dining room!), and the details were immaculate. Tables had mystical candles, magical books, potions and potion ingredients, such as dragon blood and toadstool clippings. They even had a Mandrake sapling! I got the Unicorn Tears drink, and this drink was literally SOOO GOOD! I got it hot, and it was comprised of a milk base with lavender, vanilla and honey. MAGICAL! My fiancé got the Butter Brew with a shot of coffee, and also loved it. I only wish we had more time to try their pastries and cookies; we will definitely be coming back to do so! I highly, highly recommend this café for a nice relaxing and magical reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the Lexington Victorian Square.

Place is very cute! We were greeted and menu explained. I saw a previous review that they didn’t have a decaf option which is odd bc I got the butter brew decaf and it was great. We got a blueberry muffin which was just ok it was overly crumbly maybe it was gluten free or not made with enough fat idk it was just ok and a donut which partner loved. Drinks great we sat inside and loved the atmosphere. If I could provide any tips that I personally think would take this place to the next level would be real dishes. maybe ones with the different houses, have guests rolls a dice and serve their coffee in a cup decorated with the house the dice lands. Also maybe some music it was very quiet. All in all I will be back many more times.
Kristina R — Google review
This is such a fun and unique coffee shop. The atmosphere is a fun different take with great names for their drinks, and my barista was so nice and made me a special coffee when I couldn't decide (delicious!). The glazed doghnut was also perfect. I enjoyed everything about this Cafe very much.

Cute place, dirty tables when I was there. They had run out of food the day before so they had nothing but drinks. Drinks were decent but nothing too special other than the names. Overall I think it is just a little too hyped and I was really disappointed they didn’t have any snacks other than some free cupcakes someone brought in (couldn’t eat due to allergies). Probably a little sour about the experience since I was hungry and looking forward to a little something for breakfast.

Rise and Brine Chicken Biscuits is a newly opened eatery located at 331 Romany Rd. It's the brainchild of Matt and Betsy Borland, along with Matthew and Jenna Mitchell. The restaurant specializes in crafting delectable biscuits made from scratch daily, paired with chicken brined in house-made pickle juice and buttermilk for extra tenderness.
We’ve been to rise and brine multiple times and always have a great experience! The girl working the counter is really friendly, and the space is bright and cozy. It’s funny to see reviews saying there isn’t enough seating; we’ve never had a problem getting a table. We think these are the best biscuits in town and look at the menu even while eating whatever we ordered to see what we’ll get next time. Love this new neighborhood gem! Update: Months later, this spot has become our go-to for breakfast on the weekend! Don’t overlook the breakfast burrito - it’s the best one I’ve had in town!

We’re back in town visiting with family and I was looking for a local place to enjoy matcha and breakfast. The breakfast burrito is amazing (a tiny bit spicy, but not bad) and the biscuits are delicious. The menu is small, but everything I’ve had has been good. Plenty of parking, but not much inside seating. It seems like a lot of neighborhood people pop in and out for takeout.

We wanted to try something different, so we went to this restaurant for breakfast. The service was friendly and there was plenty of parking. However, the time to receive the food was pretty slow. The food was delicious but for the O.G.E biscuit, breakfast burrito, and a drink (I had water) it was over $30 dollars. Not a great value.
Amber G — Google review
Breakfast here was great on Easter weekend. The chicken was tender and the breading wasn’t overly heavy. The biscuit was buttery and soft. I found it a little pricey for biscuits or breakfast food in general $35 for 3 biscuits and a lemonade. The everything biscuit was great but too big to handle, had to use a fork and knife. All in all I’d come back and get simply the chicken biscuit

My husband had the hot honey biscuit and loved it as well. I had a latte that was great and he had a cappuccino. Pricing is fair. Service super friendly.

31Common Grounds Coffee House

Coffee shop
Common Grounds Coffee House is a beloved gem in Lexington, known for its vibrant atmosphere and community spirit. Every Monday night, it transforms into a hub of creativity with an open mic event that showcases local musicians, poets, and artists—many of whom are your fellow students. The coffee shop's East High Street location is just a short stroll from campus, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends while enjoying exceptional coffee and delicious food.
I love this coffee shop! I live about 20 minutes away near many other coffee shops but I’ll drive out of my way to come here! They have by far the best breakfast burrito of any other place I’ve tried in Lex! It’s so delicious! I’ve only gotten iced coffee so far so I can’t comment on the hot coffee but I always get either an iced coconut mocha or an iced blackberry mocha and both are so good! The staff are always really friendly and welcoming! The only thing I’d change is their ambiance inside, I think the tables and chairs could use some upgrading for comfortability but I don’t go to coffee shops for the chairs I go for the coffee so that’s not nearly reason enough for me to stop making the drive here! 10/10!

I'm here from out of town and we've been here two days in a row (and will be back tomorrow) - it's that good. The coffee is excellent and the staff has been kind and helpful! I had a blackberry chai yesterday and a cold brew today and they were both top quality.
Lynn G — Google review
Okay. Needed a coffee for a cold morning of soccer. They did make me something not on the menu which was nice, but it was just okay. Nothing bad but forgettable. Service was good and they were friendly.
Cindy L — Google review
I would go to any other coffee place in town other than common grounds. It used to have character and the best coffee and food in town. But after being bought by a family that cant even make a latte, it has since gone down.
Shelby F — Google review
Customer service was pleasant, long wait time for just three people in the drive through. The coffee is more expensive than Starbucks which for a local company I can’t understand why they are more expensive than a franchise unless everything isn’t locally sourced but I had a bagel and a frappe. The bagel was not pleasant to eat and is probably top three one of the worst bagels I’ve had. The coffee was ok, it wasn’t burnt but nothing makes this place stand out. I highly recommend going to leestown coffee for great bagels from southland bagel and great coffee for less cost.

Drive right on past those two Starbucks and come to a nice place instead. Walked in to smiling faces, better coffee and cheaper prices.
Rather N — Google review
This is the fourth shop of the week. While Common Ground is ok, it doesn't leave you wanting to come back. The first thing you notice is the greasy smell. They don't have a hood evidently so the fried food smell sticks to you like glue. Unlike the other shops this week where an hour later driving away I could still take in the aroma of ground coffee, here I could just taste somebody else's sandwich. The next issue was the infestation of gnats. I swat them the whole time and saw other patrons doing likewise. The place also lacks all sense of ambiance. Rap music, a trashy restroom with cleaning supplies here and there, a handful of different ceiling tiles, just blah and nothing saying "come back and hang out again.". Undoubtedly I will return because it is "ok" and I am not a fan of Starbucks across the street.

Nestled within The Melodeon, The Greenery: Coffee + Social Space is a delightful coffee shop that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxation or socializing. With its lush greenery and cozy seating, it’s an ideal spot to enjoy exceptional coffee—especially the highly praised peppermint mocha. The friendly staff enhances the experience with their knowledge and service.
What a gem.... my new favorite coffee shop in Lexington. Our drinks were excellent, served in real dishes if desired, with great ambiance. The atmosphere is elegant, while cozy and fresh, with lots of lovely plants. I look forward to visiting often.

This was the cutest coffee shop I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. The lattes are tasty! They have a little hidden oasis in the back with cozy seating and a ping pong table! Truly a gem to stumble upon! We had no intention of staying there long but were in awe of how cutesy and wonderful it was! 1000/10

The Greenery: coffee and social space is everything you would expect and more. The coffee is fresh and delicious. The empanadas are some of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is indescribable and must be experienced. The employees are polite and helpful. Anytime I am in Lexington, I'm making time to relax, recharge or start my day at this establishment.

The Greenery in Lexington is a gem! The cozy indoor space and vibrant patio make it perfect year-round. Their coffee is top-notch—smooth, bold, and always satisfying. Ideal for catching up with friends or enjoying a peaceful solo moment. A must-visit!
Carlos F — Google review
Came to town during a camping trip to cool off somewhere, drink coffee, and read ...loved visiting The Greenery. The coffee was absolutely delicious, the staff kind and friendly, and the vibe very cool and laid back. I wish I hadn't missed the back patio, but then again, I think I would have just stayed inside anyway just to remain cool in the unbearable heat wave of a few weeks ago. The only things I didn't like about the spot have nothing to do with the cafe itself, being that there doesn't seem to be any free off street parking available anywhere (I'm from a small-ish town; parking fees in the city seem big to a country mouse like me), and sitting on a couch close to the open front door I was occasionally distracted from reading by bros loudly revving by on their mopeds. Otherwise, what a lovely spot to rest, read, and enjoy some coffee!
Alias P — Google review
The Greenery is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a true community hub in downtown Lexington. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both fresh and cozy. The name is well-earned, as the space is filled with lush, lovely plants that create a peaceful and vibrant environment. Their coffee is absolutely top-notch. They have a fantastic selection of classic and specialty drinks, and you can tell they focus on quality ingredients. While the coffee is a highlight, you can't leave without trying their empanadas. They're the perfect, savory complement to any beverage and a delicious treat for a quick bite or a relaxed snack. Five Stars to the team at The Greenery!
Dev K — Google review
Such a cool coffee shop with so many places to sit and unique rooms to relax in. Drinks were absolutely delicious! I'm an avid chai hater and the apple chai-der was amazing!
Katlyn B — Google review
The most delicious and eclectic matcha i have ever had (nanner pudding matcha)! The atmosphere is so calming and the food from local bakeries is delicious as well. For the quality, the pricing is very reasonable!

PJ's Coffee at Gatton, located in the University of Kentucky's Gatton Business School, is a New Orleans-born chain known for its house-roasted coffee, organic teas, blended drinks, and pastries. Open on weekdays from 8 a.m., this cafe has garnered praise for its amazing customer service and friendly staff. It offers a decent selection of snacks and pastries along with both iced and hot beverages.
I frequently eat at PJ's, whether it be for lunch or breakfast. They have excellent food and amazing coffee. The customer service is absolutely incredible and the people who work there are kind, caring, and personable. The food and coffee come out fresh and quickly. I couldn't think of a better place to go eat and grab a coffee
Christian W — Google review
Staff was very friendly when I picked up my food. I ordered ahead through grubhub so I didn’t have to wait. The food is good but not great. Recently my biscuit was broken into 4 pieces on the bottom which made it challenging to eat.
Amber G — Google review
Damn good coffee- easily the best on campus. Great and super friendly staff. If you want coffee on campus, go here. Their pastries also aren’t bad.
I F — Google review
I've gotten into the habit of going to PJ's for coffee. But the customer service is amazing. They offer a decent selection of snacks and pastries, as well as iced and hot beverages. 10/10, I recommend going to this café if you want to stop by and study at Gatton business building.
