Bourbon n' Toulouse is a vibrant eatery located at 829 Euclid Ave., offering a variety of Cajun and Creole specialties in a casual and colorful setting. The menu features many gluten-free options, catering to diverse dietary preferences. The restaurant is known for its flavorful dishes such as chicken etouffee and gumbo, which are local favorites.
Great service, the food came out quickly and everyone was super friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and upbeat, and the food was delicious! I was thrilled to find a place that serves Crawfish Etoufeé which I haven't had since I was in Baton Rouge last. The potato salad was also fantastic, though I will mention that it did have a smidge of heat to it, as did pretty much everything we tried. That said, even my mom who "doesn't do spicy" was very happy with her meal

Authentic creole food makes you feel like you are back in New Orleans. Service is very casual, you order at the counter, but the staff are super friendly, provide samples to help you decide that to order, and the food is ready before you are even done paying for your order! I even got a sweet tea on the house because it was my first time here. I wanted to try all their specialties so I had a half and half. Overall very satisfying meal, at a very good price. The parking here is a bit hard to find, you have to get lucky with street parking but other than that there is no complaints at all.
Dawn C — Google review
As someone that was born and raised in Louisiana, this is a place that brings Louisiana soul food to Kentucky in the Bluegrass State! The flavor, the taste the zest is all there you will not be disappointed the Service, the smile the atmosphere the only thing they’re missing is some Louisiana zydeco music, however I understand can’t have everything

Bourbon n Toulouse is such an awesome find here in Lexington! It’s some great cajun food and There’s a great system going on! It’s counter service and the service is extremely quick. I was so impressed. I visited here my first night I lived in Lexington because I love Cajun and Creole food and I thought it would be a fun thing to do with my parents before they left. The food is extremely affordable and the portion sizes are amazing. My meal was a half-and-half order of the chicken creole and the gumbo. I liked both, but I will say that the chicken creole was my favorite. I am a gumbo lover, but unfortunately the gumbo was extremely salty, and me, my mother, and my father all agreed that it was hard for us to stomach. That part was a bit disappointing, as I was really hoping to find some good gumbo and Lexington, but the other part of my order was still delicious, and we all felt the same way about the other parts of our orders. The bread is delicious, too. They have a great takeout system, and the people working at the counters were so kind and helpful, as well as efficient. We really appreciated our visit!

A hidden gem! On our most recent roadtrip, we wanted to find a small business restaurant to support. Being in Lexington, the “bourbon” part of the title interested me. When trying to to find this restaurant, the GPS took us directly to it, but there was a restaurant about two doors down that we thought was actually this restaurant. Come to find out, there is a small window and door and that is where this gem lies. Then we realized that it did not actually have anything to do with the drink bourbon, but more on the lines of Bourbon Street when it came to Mardi Gras. This did not deter us, though, as we were in love when we walked inside. Very colorful atmosphere, Mardi Gras beads hanging all over the place, Local and Louisiana type art decorating the walls and tables. Upon entering, the worker who was extremely friendly, explained everything about the dishes and how they came. We were very impressed by him! 😀 We ordered two dishes that were half-and-half. One had Chicken Etouffee and Gumbo. The other was Red Beans/Sausage and Chicken Creole. Once I took a bite, I was instantly taken back to my childhood when I lived in Biloxi, Mississippi. Something about the taste just took me all the way back. I’m not even sure which item it was that I tasted or mixture of everything that it brought back. I cannot forget the butter bread. That was probably one of the most amazing breads I have ever tasted and went very well with these meals. 🍞 They had numerous sauces to accompany your meals. The food definitely had a kick in a few areas, but it was absolutely amazing! 🔥 I would come here again and again and suggest others give it a try if you haven’t and are in the area! A very laid back setting. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.

This was so delicious! The food came out fast, the price was great, and the guys working were so kind. We will definitely be back.

The best Cajun & Creole food you can find in Lexington. Lovely hole in the wall with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. This was my family's favorite when we were local and I can't recommend it enough to anyone in the area!

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Came back to Lexington again in 2025 and had to get dinner here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The staff has been great each time! We are a fan of cajun food and this restaurant hit the spot! Because we were from out of town, they let us sample some of their best dishes! It helped us in ordering. The guy at the cash register was so friendly and kind to us! Prices were so reasonable. Artistic place too!

The Local Taco Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky is a popular spot known for its creative tacos, fajitas, and cocktails. The restaurant offers a variety of freshly made tacos with fillings like barbacoa, al pastor, and carnitas. They also serve unique options such as Buffalo Chicken and Korean BBQ tacos that change regularly. In addition to their tasty food offerings, they have great margaritas and weekend drink specials including $1 mimosas for brunch.
Awesome place! Great atmosphere. Dinner is 2 tacos and 2 sides for $16 without a drink. Lunch is $12. I got the Pulled Pork taco and brisket taco, Mexican rice and chips & salsa!
Taylor 3 — Google review
Went for dinner the other night and enjoyed a frozen margarita (a bit sweeter than I prefer but great overall), chips with queso and the salsa Roja (both were amazing), and the Korean beef and Brisket tacos. The beef in each taco was overcooked, dry, and stringy. The flour tortillas were very fresh and made in house. I would say the accoutrements saved the poorly cooked meat. High recommend trying the Habanero lime sauce! Friendly service and a great location make this well worth the stop.
Nick T — Google review
Local Taco is easily at the top of my list for best taco establishments not only in Lexington but also, well, anywhere! They offer an extensive taco menu with a wide variety of very unique tacos. When I visited for the first time and saw a “southern fried” taco on the menu I was both intrigued and puzzled because I thought fried chicken and tacos were quite an odd combination. I was, however, pleasantly surprised and it is one of my favorite tacos they offer! Local also offers many other meal options such as salads, enchiladas, quesadillas, and more! Local taco is also known for their speedy service and chill vibe. I don’t think I have been there one time where I have waited more than five minutes for my food! For these reasons it is always my go-to place when anyone is visiting me here in Lexington! I can confidently say I have never taken someone there and not had them love it! One of the things I found to be really cool about the building is the room right next to the kitchen that offers a window looking into the kitchen where you can see the fresh tortillas being made. I think it makes for such a homie vibe and it really makes you trust where your food is coming from!! I can say without hesitation I will be a Local Taco regular for years to come!
Reagn J — Google review
Local Taco is one of my favorite places to get food in Lexington! It’s a casual spot and always has a great atmosphere. The staff is always excellent and very helpful, the food comes out quick and it's great for having a quick lunch or dinner with a friend. There is an indoor and outdoor area and you can choose where you want to sit. Local Taco is also great if you’re in a rush and want something quick that you can take to-go but don’t want fast food. I personally love the steak taco and the southern fried chicken taco, the tacos are small so I would suggest getting a couple. If you aren’t in the mood for a taco then me and my friends love to share the chips and queso. Overall, I have always had a great experience at Local Taco and totally suggest it to everyone, it's close to everything on UK’s campus and is a great place to eat at!
Delaney — Google review
It's a good place to catch up with friends and enjoy dining inside or outside. The portions are big, which can certainly be shared. Plenty of moctail selection.
Marty V — Google review
This was the first time at this location in years. The service was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was flavorful.
Amber G — Google review
The Local Taco was the very first restaurant I tried when I first came to Lexington during my move in weekend and I could tell instantly that it was going to be one of my favorite spots. It's a small local taco (no pun intended) and fast casual place with a super welcoming vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. As a UK student, it's super convenient being that it's located right off of north campus and also takes CatCash which is an added bonus. The menu has a wide variety of options, from tacos and quesadillas to salads and sides. They also have a kids menu for people who may come in with children. Although there is always something new to try, I get the buffalo chicken quesadilla every time I go. Their food is always hot and ready, and it tastes the same every time I get it. The restaurant also has a variety of seating options which includes indoor and outdoor seating. I definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for good food and good vibes in Lexington.
Lizzie L — Google review
The food was lackluster, my tacos were dry, and the flavors were just ok. The service was absolutely minimal, a little snippy at the register and food delivery was fine. The atmosphere is loud, and kinda worn out but clean. I thought this place was great when it opened. I went every week, but I became gluten intolerant and they only have 3 tacos that I can eat, so I've only come back a couple of times. Both visits in the last year were like this so I feel fine saying that it's mediocre.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful! You order at the counter in the front and take a number to your seat inside or out and they bring the food to you! The food was very tasty and we enjoyed a chocolate cinnamon bun too.
Heather W — Google review
Nice place. The burgers were pretty good & the bread pudding had just the right amount of coffee flavor where it wasn’t overpowering. I wish it had a bit more cinnamon flavor though. I’d definitely come back to try more things

The decor in here is fun, bright colors, and the service is efficient. Prices are right and the food is yummy.
Yi L — Google review
My first visit to this spot was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. I went with the breakfast burrito, and it was a solid choice. The steak was a standout—tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right. While the cilantro-chickpea tortilla wasn't my favorite it was still well-made and didn't detract from the overall quality of the dish. The biscuit and gravy was also excellent, a classic done right. All in all, it was a great meal, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit—and checking out their East End location.

Excellent breakfast sandwiches! They were huge with two sausage patties and tasted hot fresh and homemade. Staff was friendly and thoughtful guiding us through ordering the first time and offering to take our dishes afterwards. Local restaurant atmosphere with art.

Amazing Monte Cristo sandwich, the eggs Benedict weren't to bad but need a little help. Great tatter tots, great biscuits I really think anybody who goes here will enjoy it. I look forward to my next visit to hit more menu items. The staff is fantastic and very accommodating
Gary L — Google review
We wanted a new place for brunch and we ended up here. The place is nice with a cozy atmosphere. The staff were also friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. I tried the basil chicken. While the sandwich was good, the portion was relatively small. It might not be fulfilling if someone is really hungry. I did have a cinnamon roll after it which made the meal fulfilling. I recommend the peacon roll over the milk chocolate one, but both are tasty! Will definitely be back for the rolls! Very tasty.

Sandwich shop
Deli
Dad's Favorites Deli, located at 820 Lane Allen Road in Lexington, is a beloved spot known for its unique deli and cheese spreads. Founded by James "Dad" Caudill and Susan Bratton in 2008, the deli offers an array of flavorful cheese spreads like asiago sun dried tomato and chipotle cheddar. The menu features classic sandwiches with a twist, along with daily specials such as chicken salad and Cuban-style pork sandwiches.
We tried Dad's Favorites for lunch. I've never been here before, and I was in the area. I'm so I'm glad that I stopped by! The Monday special is The Farmhouse sandwich. I knew it must be good because I heard (what I assume was one of the owners or the manager) talking to another gentleman who said, "I will go out of my way every Monday for a Farmhouse. The manager then greeted and asked if we had ever been there before and gave us a great synopsis of the menu and the daily specials. Let me say, they were crazy busy, lots of things were going on (including training new employees), and he took the time to help us decide. That itself speaks volumes to me. The patient and personal touch is what it's all about! So, as you can deduct, I had the Farmhouse ($9.50), which had Dad’s Chicken Salad and Dad’s Pimento Cheese, served on white or wheat toast with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. Oh my gosh! This was absolutely amazing! Every bite slowly uncovered layers of delicious flavor. Let me be honest, when I heard pimento cheese on top of chicken salad, I really wasn't sure, but one bite and I was convinced! I had the pasta salad as my side. It's made in-house and just as delicious as the Farmhouse! My wife had the Chicken Tortellini soup, which she said was very good. Big chunks of chicken breast and full of flavor. We did arrive a little before 12 noon, and it turns out it was a good decision because they do get a crowd for lunch. However, there is plenty of seating and service is fast and very friendly. Next time we are anywhere near Dave's, we will definitely be stopping here for lunch. Flavorful food, fast service, and friendly employees is the perfect recipe to make Dave's your new favorite!
Paul S — Google review
First time in today with co workers but definitely not the last! It was hard choosing but I had help from Dad himself. The country ham sandwich and tomato basil soup were so good I will be back.
K J — Google review
Simply the best local sandwich shop in Lexington. Went for the first time last weekend after hearing lots of good things about it. The line was out the door, yet was moving quickly. The owner, Dad himself, was constantly moving up and down the line asking if customers had been there before. If not, he was incredibly helpful in explaining the different sandwiches and sides available. He took plenty of time to chat with people and make them feel welcome. This is one of the few places around where the owner cares about the food that's being made and puts effort into it. Last, but certainly not least, the prices are very reasonable. Portion sizes are good on almost every item. On items where the portions are smaller, the flavor is even bigger and bolder. There's not a bad sandwich on this menu. I've been several times now since the first time I went last weekend. Highly recommend, 10/10, would eat at again.
Brian F — Google review
This place is a treasure. I've been eating here for years. It's deffinately something special to do so well in their location. Blink and you'll miss it, or more like you have to be looking for it to find it Tucked in the back of an old strip mall, its lunch only but these are some great sandwiches and awesome cups of soup. I love the cuban on Wednesdays.
Samuel L — Google review
Original Review 7.25.2025: When I entered the restaurant, I was asked if it was my first visit. When I said, “Yes, it is”. The gentleman pointed in the direction of the register (very small place so no need for guidance) and said that xxx would tell me about the restaurant. The cashier, who seemed genuinely friendly, told me about their cheese spreads (list is on the website), most popular sandwiches (#3, #4, #5), and daily specials (also on the website). I was craving something specific that day so I had googled “Chicken Salad” and this restaurant had come up as their Monday specials are two Chicken Salad options. I ordered the sandwich to go. For those eating there, they have no seating inside the ordering restaurant but have seating throughout the hallway of the shopping center as well as another storefront for seating a couple of doors down (see comment below). After ordering, they asked me to wait in the hall and they would bring me the order using the name I had given. I got home and pulled my sandwich out and thought the order was wrong at first. I had two half sandwiches. However, upon unwrapping I saw that they had cut the sandwich and wrapped each half separate. They were both perfectly toasted. I am not sure why they wrapped separate, but it was appreciated as I was only able to eat half in the first sitting anyway. As a food network watcher, I assume that cutting and wrapping separate may also be because less air means less steam which leads to crispy rather than soggy bread. I wish they had longer hours but as a mom and pop I understand. Note: The entrance is very unassuming and because it is in a strip mall the signage is not prominent. I entered into the front side of the mall (see picture). If you enter here, you will need to walk all the way to the back to the last storefront on the right. I had originally walked by another storefront that just had seating and wondered if it was for them. I confirmed when I watched their video on their website that night. To get a more direct entry into the restaurant, go around to the back (where you think you shouldn’t be) and enter where their sign is. The restaurant is the first storefront on the left from this entrance. 100% recommend and 100% will be back.
Amber G — Google review
Possibly my favorite deli in Lexington. The staff is super nice and I really appreciate their willingness to suggest their favorite foods and modifications to them! Their Monday special Farmhouse sandwich is my favorite thing on the menu, and they have Ale8 in their soda machine! Try the hot sauce!
Allyssa M — Google review
It’s pretty much an icon in Lexington. Popular from college students to senior adults. All the regular sandwiches are great, but the specials are worth checking out. The line is long, especially on Thursday and Friday. Most likely you will encounter “Dad”. And he’s very friendly unhelpful. The only thing wrong with this place is it’s not open long enough
Ron E — Google review
The food was gone so fast I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture — it was that good. I got the Rachel (the Thursday special), and my boyfriend got the Pepper Jack Club. I don’t even like coleslaw, but the slaw on this sandwich was AMAZING. I had mine on French bread, which was super soft and fresh. We also tried the Buffalo mac and the potato soup and both were delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

Donut shop
Bakery
Spalding's Bakery is a beloved, traditional establishment known for its fried donuts and classic baked goods like cream horns and sticky buns. The bakery has a rich history, starting from selling donuts out of the owners' home to its current location near the JIF peanut butter plant east of downtown. With an old cash register dating back to 1935, it holds a nostalgic charm.
Assorted dozen for $16 cash! Croissant style donuts! Chocolate glaze was my fav! Caramel long John was next up!
Taylor 3 — Google review
If you're looking for the best donuts in Lexington, look no further than Spalding's Bakery! These donuts are simply PERFECTION. Whether you're a fan of yeast or cake donuts, they have it all, but for me, the yeast donuts steal the show every time. Each donut is a masterpiece, from their classic glazed and chocolate to the cinnamon twists, long johns, and cinnamon rolls. They even offer an assortment of other goodies, including reasonably priced cakes! Every bite is nostalgic, transporting me back to childhood mornings when my dad would bring home a box of donuts. This local gem has been around for over 90 years, and it's easy to see why they've stood the test of time. The line out the door speaks for itself, and trust me, it's worth the wait. Their space is grab-and-go (no indoor seating), but that just adds to the charm. I'll happily wake up early whenever friends or family visit, just to grab a fresh assortment to share. To top it off, they've embraced modern times and now accept all kinds of payments. Spalding's Bakery isn't just a spot for donuts; it's a piece of Lexington's heart. Here's to 90 more years (and then some)!
Joey H — Google review
The donuts were amazing!! I have never tasted such delicious homemade donuts before. Most important thing is to take CASH with you and to go as early as you can due to them selling out pretty fast. I tried the glazed and chocolate donuts today..me and my family absolutely loved each and every bit of them.
HANI — Google review
This was my first time here, I will say the earlier you get their the more options you have. I ended up getting a cream horn, cream cheese danish, and cinnamon twist. All of it was extremely delicious and soft, I ate it over a few days, keeping it in the fridge and the quality did not devalue. Prices were amazing as well. (Im from Ohio so the things I got would have been way more than ~$2 a piece here.)
Kiaya S — Google review
Customer service this morning, 8/14/25 was lacking to say the least. The person who gathered my order was extremely unfriendly and threw my donuts in the box. The food taste stale. IMO it doesn't compare to a delicious Krispy Kreme donut. And Krispy Kreme has excellent customer service every time I visit.

I got several glazed donuts..excellent, but the carrot cake muffin and apple fritter were a huge disappointment. I expected the muffin to be from scratch and not a spice cake with a very small amount of carrots…no nuts. The apple fritter was a huge lump of dough with barely a nut or much apple. Extremely disappointing.

Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream in Manchester is a delightful destination for ice cream enthusiasts, offering an array of unique and gourmet flavors that truly stand out. Known for its eclectic offerings, this charming spot features homemade waffle cones filled with decadent treats like Bourbon & Honey and Kentucky Blackberry & Buttermilk. The menu is ever-evolving, showcasing seasonal specialties alongside dairy-free sorbets to cater to all preferences.
Good variety of ice cream options here 🍦 Not so many parking spots available since all the businesses share the main lot, but whatever because it's free :) I got a dirt cup and my girlfriend got a cookie dough scoop. The upstairs area was closed and I didn't get to explore it. Good place for ice cream, they just get a little busy sometimes.

The Bourbon & Honey ice cream at Crank & Boom is so good it honestly surprised me. You get that smooth, creamy texture with just the right kick of bourbon and a touch of sweetness from the honey. It’s the kind of flavor you can’t stop thinking about after the first bite.

Crank and Boom Craft is the best place to get ice cream in Lexington or even the best desert in general! My favorite things about crank & boom are that it is in the distillery district area and it is so nice to come after a lunch or dinner from one of the surrounding restaurants. The staff are always super sweet and always recommend flavors to me when I ask them. The recommendations have never disappointed and I always have a wonderful customer service experience. If you’re looking to go and check it out my personal favorite flavor is strawberry balsamic! I love sitting outside on a nice warm day with my friends or family and enjoying my favorite ice cream from crank & boom. Even on a stormy or frigid day they have plenty of seating inside and even a photo booth in their upstairs lounge! Crank and boom is my go-to on any day and I highly recommend checking it out.

There is no greater ice cream than C&B and you simply cannot convince me otherwise. I am addicted to sweets and always seek out the local spots when I travel. How lucky am I that the best ice cream happens to be in my own city! From the local bourbon inspired flavors, to the standard favorites AND creative monthly specials, there is something for every sweet tooth. The staff are always so kind, helpful and happy to serve. The owner, Toa, is one of the kindest, most compassionate and bright humans. The way she supports and gives back to our community is beautiful and inspiring. You get the whole deal with C&B!

I had a Sunday and it was DELICIOUS! HOWEVER, I also purchased a pint of dairy free ice cream, and it had gone bad. Their freezers were not working and they relocated the pints, so my guess is that during that transition some went bad and I got one. I called to tell them what happened and their reaction was less than helpful! Very disappointing!
Karina W — Google review
We’ve been here a quite a few times. It’s always super busy on the weekends. The ice cream is great and they have some unique flavors that are definitely worth a try. My favorite is the S’mores sundae. They have an incredible dark chocolate flavor but it’s usually sold out behind the counter so if they have it then your in luck. They do usually have pre-made pints in the fridge, so if there’s any flavors you really wanted but they run out, check there!

Athenian Grill, located at 31 South Ashland Ave. and 120 East Main, is a popular spot in Lexington known for its traditional Greek food. Originally a food truck, it has gained recognition for its authentic Greek cuisine served fast-food style. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes including appetizers like tzatziki and htipiti.
Yummm! We stopped in at 1 pm on Sunday, 11/3/24. Our food came out pretty quickly! You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. There was limited seating upstairs, and some more seating outside. It was a lovely day, so we ate outside! Here’s what I had: - Hummus ($7): Suuuuper good. The pita was delicious. - Tzatziki ($7): Fine, I wouldn’t get it again. - Classic Gyro Combo with Fries and a Drink ($13): Great deal! The gyro was so tasty and so were the fries. Generous portions at a very reasonable price! So delicious!

Delicious food, can't go wrong ordering from here. It has became our go-to when we have to visit lexington. Lots of food for a good price! I almost forgot to take a picture before we ate it all, so that should speak for itself. 😁 10% off if you take out on their website btw!

Delicious simple Greek food that you can enjoy for lunch or dinner. Portions are big. Service is quick. Small place so could have difficulty in finding a place to sit and eat. Loved their gyros 🥙. For vegan items, falafel is one of the best I had. But I didn’t like the vegan ball (tasted more like a beyond ball which I don’t like personally, so you might like this if you like Beyond meat products). The staff is nice and professional. Thank you for your attention:)

I was passing through the area and needed food that met the dietary restrictions of our group of 4. There were options that made everyone happy. The food was served quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful. The perfect health department score and top notch service really made this place stand out... the food made it unforgettable. Thanks for great service and a great meal.

Got takeaway lunch for my wife and I today. I got the classic gyro, add feta and she got the gyro bowl with 2 sides and hummus. The gyro was a hearty portion and very tasty, but it would have been nice to have the feta broken up instead of in one solid triangle. It was also very oily and got really messy towards the end. The gyro bowl was good but the sides and hummus left a little to be desired. The sides picked were the lemon potatoes which were decent, and the greens beans which were very soft and could easily have been canned. The hummus was also very lemony, which was add, not terrible but not our favorite. All in all will try again but with other side options. Cute and bright on the inside as well!

My husband and I have been eating at Athenian Grill for years. We got married last weekend and had reached out to Athenian Grill to be our caterers. They told us they don't typically cater weddings anymore, but since ours was a microwedding, they agreed to do it. The food was AMAZING. My guests adored it. So many people were saying it was the best food they've had at a wedding. There was something for everyone, including my vegetarian friends. Several family members got to try foods they hadn't ever had (the platters were amazing for this) and they really enjoyed them. The servers were so sweet as well and really lovely. I would recommend eating at the restaurant or having their catering for your next party or work event.

Pizza restaurant
Goodfellas Pizzeria on Mill Street is a popular spot in Lexington, known for its generous slices of New York-style pizza, as well as calzones and sub sandwiches. The restaurant offers classic and build-your-own options, but it's the specialty pizzas like The Don or Fuhgetaboutit that keep customers coming back. Housed in a renovated distillery space, the restaurant features an impressive architectural design with a craft cocktail bar and ample seating.
This place is amazing! You can buy by the slice or get a whole pie. We walked in as they were pulling a fresh one out of the oven. My husband and I both had a slice of Hawaiian and the pizza was so good we went back for another slice of just cheese but was equally as good! Fresh ingredients and seeing the one guy flipping the dough in the air was the best experience. Great guys working there and you can tell they love what they do. Thank you so much for the amazing pizza!
Lisa W — Google review
Listen the people are awesome. This pizza is average at best. On par with little Caesars except at least there you get sauces. Pizza is as average as can be. Have fun though. I see why they're next to all the bars downtown.
Michael M — Google review
Have been wanting to try Goodfellas ever since I started coming to Lexington annually. I stopped by around 2:00 pm on a Saturday, so there was no wait. I bought two slices; one chicken bacon and one pepperoni. Honestly I found them disappointing. The cheese was overly chewy and rubbery, and both pieces were fairly dry. The chicken bacon aldo didn't taste particularly fresh. The young lady working the counter was very nice.
Matt B — Google review
7 p.m. on a Thursday, short line, no TNL going on. When I got to the counter there was a partial pepperoni and 4 slices left of a cheese pizza, no other choices. I asked the woman if there was any mushroom pizza or any other types. She said she had no idea, it was that busy. She was 4 feet from the oven so I asked if she could peek or ask one of the 5 men working there if there was any other types coming out soon. Another pepperoni came out so I said, okay, let's just go with a slice of cheese. She reached for a box, I said, no box please, she spun the 4 slices left, which were miss-cut and gave me the smallest, miss-cut slice. I said, "oh, you're giving me the small one" and she tossed it into the box, walked to the register and said, I don't like your attitude, I'm finding you very passive aggressive. ??? I went back to get her name after I stood outside to eat the slice...she was gone, sent to the back where she belongs.
Liz H — Google review
Was told I was good to come in and get food by a worker, however in a line of 10 people they stated that all they were selling was those “last 3 slices” and closing and that they “weren’t making anymore”. 1 pizza would’ve taken care of everyone else left. It’s Boogus and lazy. Literally hadn’t eaten all day yet was made to suffer by one of the only restaurants open too lazy to do the damned job. This with the constant price changes? Final straw. I’ll never be eating at this location again and will absolutely be advising against from here on out. Terrible customer service.
Oquavion M — Google review
My soul is jumping from happiness. I lived in NJ/NY for 21 years and am very accustomed to their pizza. I bought a slice to try before buying a pie and it was *everything* I could ever want. Sweet sauce, perfect amount of grease, thin, awesome size, good crust, and made in a snazzy environment. Big recommend!!!
C D — Google review
My friend was treated badly when he got a burned up pizza from here and tried to talk to them about it. I had always been treated well by the staff here, so I thought I'd talk to them myself because that just didn't seem right, but the man at the counter seriously laughed in my face about it and said he didn't care. I sent the owner an email about it and they didn't respond. That was almost a year ago and I haven't gone back and don't plan to.
Kate D — Google review
Great pizza and personalities! Loved the music and guys singing along as well as the energy of the place. Gave it 4/5 because the server messed up the order - no biggie as I just had to buy an extra slice. Love the crust but next time I’ll ask to crisp up the bottom a bit more.

I LOVE the donuts at this place! My favorite are the plain glazed. They’re all very unique to this place and thick, so very filling. The coffee is good too. Everything is affordable, the inside is a vibe, and the service is 10/10. The parking is accessible with street and 2 actual parking lots too.

Great coffee and donuts, I've been coming here for years as an occasional treat and to spend some time getting remote work done. The coffee specials are always fun but definitely on the sweeter side if that's your thing. They've recently started roasting their own beans in house too and so far I'm really liking their offerings there! Great atmosphere too, plenty of seating between the area in the coffee shop itself and the rest of Greyline, and overall good vibes.

Ummm..... not really my cup of tea🍵. However, the atmosphere is FANTASTIC, love the look of the inside of the building!!!! Wasn't too impressed with the donuts ,felt they were a little to hard and kinda dry. Chocolate milk was just mediocre (nothing to write home about in my opinion) Service was so so. Went in on a Sunday morning around 9am and just kinda felt like the employees was in outta space somewhere 🛸🚀🛸🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ no Good Morning,How may help you or anything.. Our group got hot latte’s and they were well steamed and the coffee was pretty smooth. The cafe latte oatmilk allowed me to taste the bean and it was a little dark for my personal taste but still enjoyable. They have a variety of unique donuts. We got the plain glazed, dark chocolate orange filled, and lemon cake donut. We enjoyed it all!

Great vibes! If you like coffee shops and donuts, this is a cool place. They were playing the Smiths and Smashing Pumpkins. The donuts were like cake donuts, but not as sweet, and I appreciate the fact they weren't overly frosted nor too sweet. Good balance of flavors. Also apparent in the specialty coffee I got.

Restaurant
Dudley's On Short is a refined restaurant located in the historic Northern Bank Building, offering inspired American cuisine and an extensive wine selection. The rooftop garden, designed by local expert Jon Carloftis, provides a serene escape with lush greenery and picturesque views of downtown Lexington. The menu features locally sourced ingredients in dishes like the Kentucky Hot Brown and Pasta Dudley. Additionally, Southern favorites such as Deviled Eggs are elevated with unique twists like smoked KY trout eggs.
A large group of us came here on a weeknight for a business dinner. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the architecture has been beautiful restored. Their menu was filled with amazing southern-inspired dishes, it was hard to decide what to get. They have a nice cocktail and wine list too. The dishes I ended up with were both from their nightly specials, one being split pea soup. I love a good split pea soup, it’s just hard to find and their was spot-on what I desire! Especially on a cold, windy evening! The entrée I chose was a barramundi done Cajun style and it was also prepared quite nicely and flavorful, though I did have to spike it up with a little Tabasco sauce. Save room for dessert – they offer some amazing options, such as their daily cake, in this case it was chocolate cake with orangesicle icing and it was moist and delicious! Overall, highly recommend stopping in, especially for groups and/or business dinners!

I have one thing to tell you-finishing salt on warm soft bread. This is the first thing that greets you at the table. The pork chops is thick, moist and fantastic with a watermelon salad. The jalapeño cornbread is excellent! If you are in Lexington please visit Dudley’s!

We popped in here on a whim last night and wow—I’m so glad we did! Even without a reservation (lesson learned!), the manager, Heath, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He found us a spot at the beautiful downstairs bar, and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The bartenders were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and just spot-on with everything. You can immediately tell this is a local favorite. The regulars greeted us like we’d been coming there for years, which made the whole night feel extra special. And the food? Incredible. The fried cauliflower appetizer was so flavorful, and the seared tuna special was absolutely perfect. This place has it all—great atmosphere, amazing food, and people who truly care about making your experience memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great experience at Dudley’s on Short! The Korean Fried Cauliflower was absolutely amazing — crispy, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. My lamb shank had great flavor and the potatoes, kale, and demi-glace were delicious, though the meat itself could’ve used another hour of cooking to be perfectly tender. My husband ordered the Tournedos Maxwell, and it was cooked to perfection — he loved every bite. The homemade rolls and butter were also a standout touch. We’ll definitely be back!
Jennifer H — Google review
We came for a Christmas Eve lunch on our Kentucky vacation and the food was delicious. We had baked oysters, and beef filet and short rib entrees with the tastiest jam cake. The service was attentive, top notch. A proper cocktail menu and the atmosphere was so festive and cozy. This historic place feels more like a residence more than a restaurant. There was something homey about it which made it perfect for a holiday away from home. This is fine dining at its best in downtown Lexington.

Delicious 😋. Friendly service from kitchen and counter staff. You can tell they take pride in their food and that is a rare find these days. Also great portion sizes and reasonably priced. And the samples really help you from making the wrong choice. I had the pazole stew and chicken creole. Great choice. I like spice but not hot spice and this was the perfect level.

Dinner at Gumbo Ya Ya was very fulfilling for us! I chose the vegan option of Veggie Pazole Stew on rice. The medley of legumes mixed with corn, plus a tad bit of spice was so hearty. Every meal comes with garlic bread on the side. I asked about the ingredients and the bread is most definitely not vegan! You can choose between a small or large plate as well.

We were in the shopping area for a bakery a friend recommended and when we noticed Gumbo Yaya we decided immediately to get something for dinner to take home. When we first walked through the door the amazing smell hits you and you know it's going to be good. The menu had plenty to choose from and the guy who took our order was patient and even helped with recommendations. We both got meals and I got a side of cheese grits, hubby grabbed their bread pudding. We are the food several hours later and it was amazing. The portions were generous and the bread pudding was the best my husband said he'd ever had. We live in Richmond but we think we'll be back a lot. Amazing food is worth the drive. The only thing left for debate is what to try next and how soon will we go back.

I’ve been a Gumbo Ya Ya superfan since my first visit to the original downtown Lexington location. Back in college, I ate there an embarrassing number of times each week 😂. Fast forward seven years — when I was pregnant with my first daughter, it was the only thing I wanted to eat. I must’ve passed that love along, because now at age 4, she proudly asks for “Boo Boo Ya Ya” every time she gets to pick where we eat! ❤️ We’ve even hosted two of her birthday parties here (both at her request!), and my whole family loves it. Our go-tos are the Maque Choux, Jambalaya Ya Ya, and the Hog Wild Chili — every bite is packed with flavor!

I read the reviews and they left me wondering who was right. The pictures looked good and from the look of the outside it was a middle eastern fast food place. Typically they are pretty good. Good food -fast at a reasonable price. Our two meals cost $43 with tip. We had one steak and lamb shawarma and one lamb kufta. The sides were lentil soup and babaganoush, side salads and humus. The pita bread was fresh but not hot when it came to the table. We thought wow $43 for lunch pretty pricy? The plates were huge the was a lot of meat on both plates and enough rice. The salads were typical peppers, cucumbers, olives, tomatoes. It was delicious. The place is way overcrowded with tables and almost everyone takes out. I have no idea why they wouldn’t remove some tables and make it more attractive as a place to eat. So I am not sure what the crazy reviews were about. This place has great fresh food and unfortunately as travelers we could not take the leftovers but there really was a lot of very tasty food. I hope my travels bring me this was again.

I am in weekly and get the kufta kebab lunch? It is amazing. Food is delicious. The only issue I have is the cashier stands there and does nothing but barks orders. It is ridiculous, I have heard her holler she needs tables cleaned. If she is not doing anything why can’t she do it, the other guys are running there butts off. I love sitting down and just enjoying my lunch there, everyone is nice and polite but one. Go eat there, you will not be disappointed. Sam the owner is the so nice.

I’ve followed Sam and his brother since he first started coming in Lexington. First let me write that it has been a joy and a privilege. We in this community are soooo lucky that they chose to settle here! Now the food- freshly prepared everyday. No freezer shock. No preservative laden mess. Fresh food prepared properly according g to their family recipes. I have so many favorites - just know you can’t go wrong with anything you choose. But with the weather getting chillier may I suggest a piping hot bowl of the lentil soup? With a freshly prepared falafel as bread to dunk? Omgoodness gracious is that ever good. I do miss the bottles of EVOO and Pomegranate molasses that used to sit on the tables. I guess people were taking them home or something…. Anyway if you haven’t been here you are missing out! Be prepared to wait for a table as the lines can be long - let’s hope they move to a larger establishment — probably still have long lines!!!
Ondine B — Google review
Best lunchplate in town. I like the beef and lamb Shawarma. They open at 11. A line forms outside the door 10-15 mins before opening. The deal and food is that good. So be prepared for a little line or limited seating at times. They are fast and efficient though. The line moves well so don't be discouraged. It is worth it.

Tolly-Ho is a beloved 24-hour burger and breakfast spot near the University of Kentucky. Despite its relocation from the university campus, it remains a popular hangout for students, evident in its display of sorority and fraternity memorabilia. The menu offers hearty breakfast options at any time, signature quarter pounder burgers, and classic American favorites.
The food was fantastic! A plus for me is that it's only a mile from the UK Hospital, and there's plenty of room in the parking lot to park and ambulance. This isn't my usual service area, so it was great to find a place to eat before the long drive back to our district.

I went here and it was all reasonably priced. The food was quite bland and mediocre at best. The gravy was powdered. The staff were unhygienic and monotone. They did NOT hold their hair back with a hairnet. Also, it is more self serve because you walk up to the counter, order, pick your table, wait and get your food, and get your own silverware.
Xavier — Google review
I just got takeout but this is a good joint for sure. I got the small cheeseburger (which was very nice for the price, and I got a good amount of onions on it). The loaded hash browns absolutely sent me into flavortown with the chili; it was an absolutely delightful messy excursion. The strawberry shake was good but definitely overpriced. All in all, worth the trip for a quick lunch. The drive thru worker was very kind and efficient; no comment on the general atmosphere of the place as I did not venture inside.

A great 24-hour diner and Lexington tradition. Food always good whether you go at 2p or 2a. Breakfast items are especially good, with fair prices and huge portions. Definitely a go-to whenever I am in Lexington.

I was suggested this place after my brother once entered wasted at 1am. When I entered it was 10 am and I was not wasted- but that Ho burger is genuinely a solid burger Moist bun, not under or overcooked patties with solid American cheese. Better than the ones I made at home for sure! (my brother thought it was gods gift to man at the time) If you have extra bucks for a fresh burger and would rather not go to cook out genuinely Tolly-ho is a solid choice.
Jeremyah C — Google review
Awful. Waited 30 minutes for food. Tally ho burger was terrible. They forgot half my order even AFTER asking me what sauce I wanted wish my hash browns. Stood at the counter 5 minutes trying to get a to go box. Lady ignored me and kept putting up food. Guy beside me said he told them 3 times only cheese on his hamburger and they put everything on it. Don’t care it’s a Lexington staple. I’m from out of town and unbiased. This place is terrible. Don’t eat here. Go to takeout up the street.

I originally planned to go to Cook Out since Google showed they were open, but they ended up being closed — and honestly, I’m glad they were! I headed over to Tolly Ho instead, and it turned out to be a great decision. The cashier Rat, who answered the phone and handled my order was fantastic — super friendly and efficient. Awesome customer service all around. Keep up the great work, Tolly Ho! Wishing your team a Sunday full of positivity and motivation!

Really cool place, great greasy food with an awesome atmosphere. Still has pinball machines, video games and even the Ho Store where they sell tobacco and all kinds of other novelties. Always a fun experience and you will leave stuffed and hating yourself LoL.......

Smashing Tomato Pizzeria in Hamburg offers a relaxed environment and serves Neapolitan-style pizza from a wood-burning oven. Customers can enjoy watching their pizzas being prepared and baked to perfection. It's a popular spot for weeknight family dinners or casual lunches. The friendly staff provides recommendations, and the menu includes delicious options like the "smashed donte" pizza and original chopped salad, which are fresh and flavorful.
Had been to the Fayette Mall location and were impressed. We were on a trip south on 75 and decided to try the Hamburg location. We were not disappointed. I feel like service here was friendlier than Fayette. They were friendly and helpful. Pizzas came out quickly. Got the Artichoke Dip and it was definitely presented in well and tasty too. The woodfired pizza was, of course, amazing. We will be back!!!!!

One of the best pizza places in Lexington. Friendly staff. Half off wine bottles on Thursdays. Easy ordering through toast app or QR code at the tables. Great seasonal specials for pizza and salads. Very reasonably priced.Bob appetite!

Spectacular restaurant for lunch. Super fast, awesome food. Penne Gorgonzola was delicious!! Great artichoke dip too and pizzas.

10.16.2024: I visited this restaurant for the first time this past weekend. I appreciate that you can order from the table via a QR code. The pizza was cooked quickly and both pizzas had a unique and delicious flavor profile. The chef brought the pizza to the table and he checked on us at an appropriate time during our visit. The reason for the four stars is because we also got salads and the lettuce was not fresh. I had browning pieces scattered throughout. My husband had also ordered ranch dressing on his salad but it came out with balsamic. Very good size salads for a “half” salad and I appreciated the bread on the side.
Amber G — Google review
Disappointed. Looks can be deceiving. I ordered a small meatball/alfredo pizza and it was perfect. The large meat lovers pizza was undercooked so the dough was impossible to eat. I can tell they probably use quality toppings but I couldn’t finish it. The crust was also a little burnt. Maybe they tried to cook it longer because of the toppings but I hate being disappointed in pizza especially when my hopes were so high based on the reviews.

Ordered the deal with meat mania, artichoke did. Good price of 30.00 including 2 drinks. Order from the table on the application table very easy and convenient also pay through the application. The food was to our table very quick. Taste was very good and loads of toppings. 3 meats pepperoni meatballs and sausage and 3 cheeses and sauce was very good just the right amount of spices

Some of the best pizza I've had. The crust specifically is incredible and this place is so awesome they have what you need to make an amazing olive oil / balsamic dip to use that crust on. I loved this place so much I discovered it on a Tuesday and came back on Thursday. It's that good. If I lived closer I'd be there at least once a week.

Came during lunch which is INCREDIBLE!!! Can't believe they have a 6" pizza and a huge salad for under $10! I love crispy pizza and mine was perfect! My 3yo loved her normal baked pizza and my wife couldn't stop bragging on the quality of food, atmosphere and price! And there's side dish olive oil, oregano and red pepper to dip my crust in! We WILL stop again if we're going through the area! Thank you for hosting us for lunch when we decided to try on a whim, my family chooses to stay away from large chain restaurants. Long live Love❤️, Peace🙏 and Pizza🍕!

Restaurant
Joella's Hot Chicken in Lexington is a rustic and casual spot known for its stellar Nashville-style hot chicken. This small local chain offers a variety of heat levels to choose from, ensuring there's something for everyone. The all-natural nature of their chicken has made it a favorite among locals. In addition to their famous hot chicken, they also serve jumbo wings with waffles for the adventurous foodie.
Employees were so kind and welcoming. Food was wonderful. Our Jessie enjoyed the back patio.
Ruth P — Google review
To review this place, I start with positive points. Crispy thin fries were so good. Price wise it was pretty good. Negative points are as follows Wings were uncooked and considering the price, it was like throwing your money away. In terms of cleaning, it was so disappointing. The counter was full of dust which made a bad impression. With the high google score, I was expecting a lot more. I do not suggest this place.
Matin H — Google review
Cool spot with outdoor seating besides that... The service was slower than if we ate at a sit down restaurant. Waited a good 15/20 minutes for two orders of tenders and Mac n cheese. Let's start with the good, the chicken was solid and the sauce spiked honey was amazing. The bad, first off it's really expensive and the "jumbo tenders" aren't big enough to justify the price and the Mac n cheese was dry like it was under a heat lamp for the last 6 hours. For the price and wait I don't know if I'll be back unless I just want that spiked honey sauce in a gallon jug.
Michael K — Google review
With so many great reviews, I have to hope my experience was just an “off” day. However, since it’s the only impression I had, I must say I am quite disappointed. The positives are that the seasoning was good, the chicken was tender, and the thin crispy fries were tasty. I was happy to see they cater to Gluten allergies. Here’s where my experience went wrong: 1) Customer service was not welcoming at all. Cashier gave the impression that they could care less whether or not you were there. 2) We placed our order at 5:56 PM and waited for our food until 6:25 PM. The restaurant was not at all busy (only one couple in line in front of us). 3) I ordered the gluten free tenders and they arrived on top of a piece of bread which is certainly not gluten free. 4) I ordered the 3 tenders meal but my plate arrived with only 2 tenders. 5) The trash bin was overflowing.
Kelsey V — Google review
We love Joella’s for their vegetarian options! We were helped by Melinda, who is obviously working very hard to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. When I got here she greeted me and she brought her personality to work with her. She’s since been back to our table during a lull in orders just to check on us and the other customers sitting here. Thanks Melinda!
Maggie F — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Joella’s Hot Chicken! I came in expecting great food—and it delivered—but what truly made my visit unforgettable was the exceptional service, especially from Melinda. From the moment I walked in, Melinda greeted me with genuine warmth and made me feel like a VIP. She was knowledgeable, upbeat, and went out of her way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I wasn’t sure which heat level to go with, and she patiently walked me through the options, even offering samples to help me find the perfect balance of flavor and fire. Thanks to her recommendation, I found my go-to order! The chicken? Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned. The sides? Deliciously comforting. But Melinda’s friendly attitude, attention to detail, and pride in her work were what truly stood out. She made the entire experience feel personal, thoughtful, and fun. If you’re visiting Joella’s, do yourself a favor—ask for Melinda. She’s the kind of person who turns a great meal into an exceptional experience. I’ll definitely be back soon!
Harrison Y — Google review
Great food, fabulous service! Got the "Hot" jumbo tenders and fries($13). They were spicy but not too spicy. Fries are really crispy and I highly suggest the honey buffalo sauce. Also got the cookies and cream pie in a jar($6), DELICIOUS! Three tenders were too much for me, I didn't finish my food. Great service and pretty tidy. All together, pretty good experience.
Hayley L — Google review
There is just nothing that can justify $11.20 for three tenders, and three tenders only. It's absurd. They're good, almost identical to Popeye's chicken in taste and quality, but nearly 3 times the price, 4 times the price if you add fries. This is why we're going broke as a nation, these companies know we're too lazy to cook ourselves, so we'll overpay to not have to. And then to ask for a tip while paying to attempt to force the customer to pay what they don't want to pay their employees, while charging obscene amounts for half a chicken breast. Start cooking at home!

Restaurant
Charlie Brown's Restaurant is a cozy spot that has been serving sandwiches, appetizers, and beer since 1977. It quickly became popular among University of Kentucky students for its laid-back atmosphere, mismatched furniture, and vintage posters on the walls. The dimly lit space with seating arranged in nooks among bookshelves creates a pleasantly spooky vibe. The menu offers elevated diner food such as bison burgers and homemade derby pie.
Super relaxing and inviting candle lit environment. I loved the homey welcoming feeling of the restaurant. The waitress did a great job. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, well done, and a Reuben which I can't pass up. The Reuben was excellent I really enjoyed the crispness of the bread as most tend to get soggy. The burgers were good except they could only eat the edges because the centers were all pink. Not well done as requested.
Jason D — Google review
It had been a very long time since I'd eaten at Charlie Brown's. Decided to try it again. I just remember how cool it was inside. I love the atmosphere, sitting on a couch and perusing the hundreds of books they have lining the shelves. The hot pepper cheese is my favorite thing on the menu. The other things we ordered were only ok. Our server seemed cranky, maybe just an off day. It's a great spot for a couple drinks while you enjoy the atmosphere with an appetizer or two.
Jennifer ( — Google review
My friend and I ate here for lunch today. The restaurant itself is nestled between other businesses. If you are driving by you might miss it at first. We parked in the parking garage close to it. Be warned! You have to pay. The restaurant does not validate parking. Once you walk in it is pretty dark. Watch your step! You seat yourself. They have tables and chairs but also couches to sit on. It is a comfortable and relaxing environment. I’m sure it gets pretty busy on the weekends. We ordered the hot pepper cheese for our appetizer. It was delicious. For my meal I got a special menu item. I got the beer cheese chicken sandwich. It was very good! I also got fries. They gave me very large portions. Overall we had a great experience. Our service was good and the food was great! I would like to go back on a weekend evenings for drinks.

The music didn’t entirely fit the vibes but it was definitely a nice experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the jerk chicken appetizer and the fries, chicken was nice, tender, and juicy, fries were lightly salted and perfectly made. I enjoyed the atmosphere so much, I felt right at home. The waitress Kim was super sweet and me and my family enjoyed our time! Definitely recommend!

Super cool bar that was covered in books and old couches. We must have went on an off day, our server misplaced a friend’s ID for a little bit (we got it back), there was a super funky smell, and our drinks were just okay. BUT it was one bad experience, and I’m told that every other trip they’ve been on this is one of their favorite bars! We also got a burger for burger week that was exciting!

I should’ve known the best burger in Lexington would be at a dive bar. Just an insane amount of food for the price. Really unique place.

Have been here multiple times really really enjoy this place. The atmosphere is one of a kind, I love the relaxing chill vibe. Always good service, excellent beer selection, the food is fantastic. Love the burgers, can never go wrong with the special. I do feel the burgers could use a little bit more seasoning but it's whatever. I typically get the fried mushrooms which I highly recommend. This past time I went, I tried the fried pepper jack cheese, which was excellent. Ratings 1-5. 1 low 5 high. Great sandwiches! I went with my husband and we both really enjoyed their sandwiches. I got a sandwich de lechon and my husband got de tripleta. I was here 11 years ago before moving to the area. I just recently remembered it was pleasantly surprised it was still open and very close to my work. I ordered a sizable pickup order and it was hot and ready when I showed up 15 min later! The food is authentic Cuban cuisine that is to die for. That black beans and plantains are so good and you really can’t go wrong with anything off the menu. Coupled with very kind owners, this place is a Lexington hidden gem!!

My Cubano sandwich was mostly prepared in the microwave, and somehow the cheese still wasn't properly melted. I ate the first half and it wasn't that bad, but the second half was horrible to the point that I started gagging. I love supporting local businesses, but this place really is not good.

Sorella Gelateria is a small-batch Italian gelato shop located in downtown Lexington. Founded by sisters Selma and Alma, this cozy spot offers authentic Italian flavors made with artisanal techniques learned in gelato school in Italy. From classic strawberry and chocolate to unique Nutella-flavored gelato, Sorella has something for everyone. They also serve vegan sorbets for those with dietary restrictions.
This place is THE BEST! I can't name a dessert place in the U.S. that compares. You can taste the freshness (high quality ingredients from local farmers and Italy, small batches made daily, no artificial flavors or sweeteners) and the texture is wonderful. Each bite was amazing. The price is also extremely reasonable. I love supporting this small business that does things in such an honorable way. It's good for the soul. *If you are wondering what flavors they have each day you can check their story on instagram or facebook.

White Castle is a beloved fast-food chain known for its signature sliders, which include beef, chicken, and fish options. This iconic eatery has become a staple for those craving deliciously small burgers and offers extras like crispy onion rings. A unique highlight of White Castle is its annual Valentine's Day dinner—a charming experience featuring white linen tablecloths, candles, and tableside service that requires reservations due to its popularity.
White Castle is a place we visit maybe once a month in the late evening, it can be a hit or miss. Tonight’s visit was a mix!! We got the 30 cheese crave clutch which was hot and fresh, we tried the new cheddar chicken rings, flavor was good but chicken rings were not that fresh.. customer service was friendly and helpful, drive thru time about 15 minutes, overall not too bad for a Wednesday night.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place was absolutely disgusting. What is the meat? It sure isn't beef! This place is also super dirty. This restaurant chain needs to be shut down. The food is absolute garbage.

I pulled up to the speaker as the only car and was greeted. Tried to order two deserts on a stick which I specified and corrected twice. Still was going to get charged for three. Three drive thru windows with no one in any of them so I just pulled away because what the heck, why would I spend my money here.

The food was good. We had a clear view of them cooking, and they used gloves. However, they were understaffed, and the seating area was so filthy that we had to eat outside in the heat. The trash bins were also overflowing.
Clair C — Google review
We thought it would be good to get a late night snack before calling it a night. I haven't had White Castle in a very long time, and I thought it would be good to try them out again. I was the only one ordering from the inside, and it took a while for the food to come out, and when it came out, not everything was there. I asked them for the missing items, and they said they would get to it. It took more time for them to make it, and there wasn't a sense of urgency at all. We got our food and took it back to the hotel, and then I noticed that the 1921 slider did not look anything like the picture. There wasn't any lettuce, tomato, or pickle in it. It was a pretty poor experience this time around.

White Castle is a staple novelty fast food burger destination. It’s simple and traditional. They started something back long ago when burger chains were first poppin’ and they’ve honed it and perfected it so that from the wee hours to the whoowhee hours, the menu is consistent and so is the service and availability and cost. Don’t wanna forget White Castle. It’s part of our pop culture!

When you were in Lexington you have a choice of thousands of different places to eat, but only two of them are White Castle! If you're into tiny little burgers this is the spot! They have it all day breakfast menu, and the location is super convenient, right off new circle road. Plenty of parking is available and the restrooms are clean. The people working were friendly and I received my order fast. My food was fresh and hot, although the mozzarella sticks don't have a great taste. Everything else was superb!

NAT'S is a Thai restaurant in Kentucky that offers traditional dishes, soups, and small plates in a relaxed setting with outdoor seating. The menu features authentic Thai cuisine representing different regions of Thailand. Known for its world-class wings, NAT'S provides a unique twist on the classic buffalo wings. The restaurant is praised for serving possibly the best Thai food in Lexington, with a variety of home-cooked dishes available in a family-run establishment.
Pretty good food for a great price point. The food was flavorful and the proportion was huge (a lot of rice for the pork salad and shrimp+herbs). My favorite had to be the special pork basil with fried egg. Be patient when ordering, when we finally got to try the place, it was just one staff. We’ll definitely be back. Side note: My husband and I have been wanting to try Nat’s for a while. It just never seemed to be in our cards. Last week, we tried coming on two separate ocassions in the evening (around 7pm) but they were closed both days. I checked their Facebook/Google page to see if I misread the time but it seems they were randomly closed.

I rarely go out for Thai food because, since I'm Thai, I pretty much cook Thai at home. Friends, however, often ask me for recommendations, and I think Nat's will have to be at the top of my list from now on. We went for the first time recently, and my husband has not stopped talking about going back. He got the Kobe beef and basil and loved it. I got Tom ka shrimp and a Thai papaya salad that was just wonderful. Since we were the only ones there and decided to wait for our food to be cooked, we chatted with everyone working there including Nat. They were friendly, generous, conversational and super interesting. I have no doubts we will be back. Highly recommend that all Lexingtonians try this place at least once.

If you are looking for amazing Tia food, this is the place. The food is excellent and authentic. I got the curry chicken stir fry and would recommend it. (caution it is spicy if you like heat go for it)

NAT's, a downtown Lexington self-named Thai takeout, nestled between McCarthy's Irish Bar and Harvey's, serves some of the most delicious dishes we've tasted. Nat (chef and owner) overcomes the equipment challenges by preparing mostly curry and soup dishes (known as "Kao Geang" ). That Kobe basil is on point. The Tom Yum gai is authentically sour and spicy, perfect for a fall night out. Inspired by unique ingredients, he never stops serving innovative and probably one-time dishes, like the Watermelon curry chicken. Though the restaurant doesn't have its own dining room, his customers can enjoy the dishes in the outdoor seating area that's shared with the Irish Bar.
Brutalbutt H — Google review
Amazing food, friendly staff. One of my favorite places in Lexington. The interior is so small that you can't open the door and stand inside at the same time, but there is seating all around the exterior. Prices are not bad, especially given the generous portion sizes.
Isaac R — Google review
We love Nat's! If you find yourself enjoying the Irish Public House next door (McCarthy's), you can just ask your friendly bartender for a menu. The staff of Nat's will come over, take your oder, and even bring it to you! How convenient is that? They share a lovely back patio with McCarthy's so grab a pint, some grub, and enjoy a little piece of heaven in downtown Lexington! If you opt to get it to go, they will box it up for you. I suggest the pad thai. It's beautifully balanced between sweet sauce and warm peanuts is definitely something to write home about!
ShelbieAnn L — Google review
Got an order of fish and chips delivered next door to McCarthy’s while watching the UK game. The portion was decent - 3 small pieces of fish and fries filling most of the rest of the box - and the quality was good. At $12 I feel it may have been a couple dollars overpriced, but it’s a great service to have delivery next door, and I’d be curious to try their Thai food!
Morgan C — Google review
Nat's is probably the most authentic and best Thai in Lexington and may be for a large surrounding area. I've had a lot of Thai food and Nat makes some of the best. It's spicy, no doubt about that, but the flavor is markedly better than other places. He has a different special almost every day so there's plenty of variety for repeat visits. Highly recommended.

I don’t know what has changed here in the last six months or so, but it has been so good. I’m guessing there was a management change because now the staff is pleasant and friendly. Every time my order has been accurate and has always included the dipping sauces, napkins, etc. Six months ago, the experiences I had here were just completely awful. I really enjoy that I can count on my food being made correctly and not having to wait long. I hope that the employees here know that as a customer, I can feel the change as well. And that I enjoy seeing smiling faces rather than on-the-brink-of-quitting faces.

We ordered two Whoppers that had so much mustard(yes, I know mustard is not supposed to be on Whoppers) we couldn't eat them. All you could taste was mustard. It covered the inside of the wrapper as well. We ordered extra onion, but even the wrappers were marked correctly. I don't mind mustard, but good grief it was TOO much. Ordered ahead and was still made to wait at the window, and asked three times what I was waiting on. Pictures are of inside if wrappers.

McDonald's, the iconic fast-food chain celebrated for its delicious burgers and crispy fries, continues to be a go-to spot for many. Recently, they offered an enticing deal through their app, allowing customers to snag double cheeseburgers at just 50 cents on September 18. While some locations may experience slower service due to being busy or understaffed, there are shining examples of exceptional customer care.
The food could have definitely been better my chicken stunk and it was hard... but the STAFF made up for it. I grabbed the ladies name who took my order this morning because her bright smile kind words and over all demeanor made everything else better . Id give the restaurant 4 stars- but Latasha in the first window 10.

Similar experience as other reviews. Several homeless folks in dining area were allowed by McDonald’s employees to panhandle inside the store making for a very uncomfortable dining experience. In addition this is the first McDonald’s that I have been too where you need an employee to put in a code to let you use the bathroom.

The morning shift manager Alice seems to not be able to handle her position as a manager I honestly think it’s needs to be something done. I’m pregnant and this is not the first time I was disrespected by her. The lobby is supposed to be open at 6 am and she refuses to allow customers in. This morning I what my 8 years old daughter with me and I asked her if we can come in she said she’s waiting on help to come in and I told her I understand but if the lobby is supposed to be open at a specific time she needs to let us in and she walked off letting the door lock behind her. I don’t even feel comfortable ordering food here while she’s here. I usually call and place my concerns there but the voicemail is full…. There is not humanity with this one specific manager and I feel sorry for her. If she can’t handle running a restaurant let someone else do that.

The homeless was wondering around the dining area. I had sat down to eat and I know atleast 3 or 4 came by trying to bum money or cigarettes while I'm trying to eat and the employees allow this !! Also I asked the lady to unlock the restroom for me and she acted like I asked her to run a marathon and had a nasty attitude with me.

I came in and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. Plain. I was so excited because I used my McDonald’s points to get it free and Greg a black guy in the front counter was so busy talking to these white girls from out of town that he gave me it full of mayonnaise and disgusting sauce, it was a shame that he was so interested in talking to these girls who weren’t interested in him at all and we’re being so deceptive towards him instead of doing his job. Greg needs to do better!!

McDonald's, huh? Yeah, it's a place that exists. You go in, you order some stuff that looks vaguely like the pictures, and then you eat it. Or don't. Whatever. The burgers are... burgers, I guess? Thin patties, some sad-looking lettuce, a pickle chip or two. They taste like, well, fast food. The fries are usually the best part, when they're hot. Sometimes they're just... there. Limp and forgettable. Don't even get me started on the drive-thru. It's a gamble. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes you're sitting there forever while they figure out how to make a simple order. And checking the bag? Essential, unless you enjoy discovering you're missing half your meal when you get home. The menu is huge now, with all sorts of fancy coffee drinks and wraps and things. But honestly, most people are still just getting a Big Mac or some McNuggets. It's predictable, I'll give it that. You know exactly what you're getting, for better or worse. Mostly worse, if you think about it too hard. It's cheap, though. That's the main draw, right? You can feed yourself for not much money. If that's your priority, then McDonald's is fine. Just don't expect miracles. It's just... McDonald's. It's food, it's fast, and it's definitely not gourmet. It fills a hole, sometimes. That's about all there is to say.

THIS LOCATION IS NOT OPEN 24 HOURS!!! Despite this location claiming so on Google they definitely are not. They will randomly decide to stop serving customers if the manager isn’t there, generally won’t serve anyone from 2:30- 3am area -4:30 am when they swap to breakfast. (This has been updated post-covid as well to say 24 hours) It is common for 24 hours McDonald’s to close form 4:00am-4:30 am to swap to breakfast. However, I have never seen any “24 hour” McDonald’s either close by turning off drive through menu screens, or they just simply tell everyone their “system is down” for the next 2 hours. It’s such a joke. It’s okay to not be open 24 hours, however it’s not okay to tell people you are when you aren’t.

Wendy's is a beloved fast-food burger chain known for its delicious offerings, including unique sides like chili and baked potatoes. Recently, they launched an enticing promotion where customers can add a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger to their order for just one cent when making any purchase through the Wendy's app or website from September 18 to September 22. Frequent visitors have praised the genuine friendliness of the staff at this location, noting that their kindness feels authentic rather than scripted.
I have been coming to this location for two or three years, and I appreciate how friendly--but not fast-food-fake-friendly--I appreciate how real and kind the workers here are. Today, I had to go back in because I didn't get butter with my potato, and the young man at the register was ready to make me a whole new potato. A few hours later, i.e. now, I looked at my receipt and realized that I never ordered butter in the first place. I appreciate the workers here so much--thanks y'all if you're reading this!

Shocked at the poor quality of food and inaccuracy of my order. $5 biggie bag with no chicken nuggets, no bacon on my BACON double stack that was cold when I ate. The nuggets we actually got for my husband’s order weren’t even worth eating they were so hard and dry. I understand fast food is not meant to be a gourmet meal but I think it’s appropriate to expect hot, fresh food that is equal to what was ordered.
Darbi L — Google review
I ordered ahead via the app and the food was ready at the quoted time. The food was typical of a Wendy's. I thought the outside layout was very strange. To get to the front door you have to cross in front of the drive thru traffic. The food pickup spot is right inside the left entry door.
Amber G — Google review
Usually we receive great service from this location but unfortunately today that was not the case. Not only was the drive through running so much slower then usual we also received both our orders of the Bacon Pub Fries ($3.29 EACH) without any bacon! When we continuesly tried to call the store to complain the phone rang busy (over a 10-15 minute time frame). Not only is that quite frustrating but it also causes your customers to feel ignored and disrespected, especially for that long of a time period. I hope management is able to get to the bottom of this issue and make sure it is corrected.

Placed a mobile order for two Jr hamburgers plain went to go pick up the order both Jr hamburgers had cheese on them. Went back inside to the restaurant to have them fix the order. They got one of the Jr hamburgers right plain just meat and The bun the second one was not correct. It had cheese, ketchup, mustard, and bacon on it. I went back inside for the second time. Ask them to fix that one once again they messed it up. The second burger had cheese, ketchup, mustard, and bacon on it. How many times does it take to get somebody’s order correct should be one time not 100. I do not think I will be at this restaurant anytime soon in the near future.

SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. Whoever was working the speaker had an attitude the entire time and was very rude. We got all the food and the sandwiches were good, but the fries were hardly filled and they were cold. The nuggets also looked like they were sitting under the heat lamp for a very long time, not fresh. Other than the person on the sandwich station, everyone elses customer service and coordinating skills lack entirely. We had to ask for our frosty and sauces and they got an attitude about that too!!!

With delicious American pub grub and nightly drink specials, Campus Pub is the perfect place to watch the big game. Whether you're a UK fan or just want to relax in a laid-back atmosphere, this bar & grill is perfect for you.
I have never left a review before but I can’t say how much I love this bar. Over the last year me and my friends have came to Campus Pub to play trivia almost every Wednesday night (I highly recommend). The food is great and there is something going on pretty much every night of the week (honorable mention to Sunday Karaoke). Easily the best part about this bar is the friendly faces behind it. Very special shout out to our friend Coe, he is what kept us coming back here week after week, and someone we consider a true friend at this point. Truly an amazing person and bartender, making new creations for us to try every week, and they’re great every time. Campus Pub has become an integral part of our college experience and we will always hold these memories in our hearts.

They’re always fun and super helpful and make the best drinks. Truly one of my favorite spots in Lexington.

Restaurant
Blue Door Smokehouse is a popular BBQ joint in Lexington, known for its no-frills, counter-serve setting and delicious smoked meats. Established nearly a decade ago by two Lexington natives, it offers a variety of succulent smoked meats, classic sides, and sandwiches. The 'Blue Door Special' allows patrons to sample all the available proteins on any given day. This traditional American BBQ spot is perfect for those seeking authentic down-home cooking without the hassle of doing it themselves.
Food was seasoned well, cooked with care and delicious! Slaw with vinegar was tasty, I’d compare it to Smithfield’s Chicken N Bbq (southern US chain restaurant). Seating inside and outside.
Meaghan J — Google review
I got the 2 meat plate with 2 sides. The brisket was surprisingly only okay, pretty dry but not that bad. The sausage was average, not super flavorful. The potato salad had no seasoning at all, it was so bland and boring. The collared greens just tasted like straight vinegar and nothing else. Wish it was better considering all the great reviews.
Nancy G — Google review
Went here with my boyfriend and his brother. I got the pulled pork sandwich with creamy slaw. The meat itself was amazing! The slaw was kind of bland but still good. My boyfriend got the pulled pork plate with collard greens and ranch beans. He gave his food 9/10. And his brother got the brisket sandwich with ranch beans and gave it an 8/10. This is def an amazing bbq place that’s super affordable and I highly recommend it.
Amber S — Google review
Generally my opinion on BBQ is that there are only two levels of quality; good enough and not good enough. It reminds me of a lot of British meals in that respect. People talk about “the best fish & chips” or “the best roast”, but I’ve never really understood it. I’ve only ever had two types of those meals; one I’m enjoying continuing to eat, and one I’m not. With BBQ though, there are a few exceptions, and my binary perspective falls apart further when I haven’t eaten BBQ for a while. Enough of my hand wavy food philosophy! What I’m slowly digging at is, Blue Door is great. It’s not life-changing, but it’s safely in the great category. We got the 2-meat plate (sausage and brisket) with beans and vinegar slaw. The brisket is excellent, textbook melt-in-the-mouth beauty, the kind of thing that would take an Englishman off of his BBQ binary high horse. the sausage left a little bit of flavour and spice to be desired, the coleslaw was pretty good and the beans were great. The house-made sauces were varied, they have a nice vinegar-based one that we both loved, and the habanero sauce is a nice lil spicy surprise to inject just a touch of tex-mex into the meal. I’d go again when my BBQ-meter has reset.
Sam F — Google review
Keep in mind they only open til 3pm on weekdays and often brisket will run out. With that said beef brisket is the number one choice and they give you a nice health cut without hesitation. Baby back ribs is a good alternative. Their sides are a little basic. We visited them twice in three days in Lexington.

I absolutely love this restaurant. We felt welcomed as soon as we sat and met our host Sophia. She was so lovely and she actually had good recommendations for us. The atmosphere in the restaurant was so warm and inviting. We got to sit under the olive tree and it felt magical. The wait time was about 15 minutes but we received the free complementary loaf of bread and our entrees within 5 minutes. The food was absolutely delicious. My friends and I had the Butcher Burger, Picatta Classico, and Rigatoni Crema. The meals are pretty affordable for the HUGE portion size! Those three ranged from 15 to 20 dollars. Parking is definitely the only downside especially on busy days (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays). I went there on a Tuesday night but still struggled to find a parking spot. It is also recommended to have a reservation on those busy nights if you have a specific seating in mind. Overall I really enjoyed dining here and will be coming back.

The food and employees were really good. I think they should sit people further apart when there isn't alot of people in there. That's really the only critique I can think of. Our seating was super close to the people next to us. We could've touched them. So other than that the restaurant was so beautiful inside and out. The staff friendly and informative. Food was very good. Oh the bread comes out in a big round piece and is super hot so hard to cut, need to pull it apart. No cutting board to cut it. So I felt odd pulling it apart with our hands. It was for my daughter and I but still was awkward. All over though excellent food.

Bella Notte has consistently delivered exceptional dining experiences over the years. The establishment offers a diverse array of culinary options to cater to various tastes. The service is consistently of high quality, ensuring a memorable dining experience. However, it is important to note that weekends can be particularly busy, leading to extended wait times, especially for larger parties. To avoid inconvenience, it is advisable to make reservations in advance, especially for larger gatherings. Bella Notte provides an ambiance that is ideal for various occasions, including celebrations, dates, graduations, and casual dinners.

Large group of 14 for a birthday party. The tables were set up perfectly, with space between the 3 setups so we could easily get out to go mingle or go to the restroom. Glasses of water were ready for all guests. I thought the server did a great job answering questions, taking orders, bringing more drinks, accommodating the movement of guests around the table, clearing empty dishes and smiling the whole time! Everything went smoothly, the food was good, and the service was great.

Cute local restaurant in the heart of Lexington’s horse country. Decorated with jokey silks and a very country store like vibe. Service was great. Very nice people. I ordered the chicken tenders basket. Very flavorful but a bit overcooked. The fries were way too salty for my taste but still good and crunchy. The have some amazing looking desserts but we didn’t partake.

By far the best foods around. I have tried a little of everything here. And it is always good. Burgers to country poor boys. Always good!! It is a little on the slow side so good when you have an afternoon or evening to relax. If you don't give yourself enough time you could get a little rushed. The fabulous food is worth the wait. Love all the Kentucky made products here as well!! The staff is always nice and friendly. Desserts all always look good. I need to leave room for dessert next time!! A beautiful drive out to it as well! Keep it up everyone! Thanks.

Time of visit: 11:10 A.M. The KY Colonel Boy is very good. It's a bit hard to eat on the roll since it's a big sandwich. (The roll is very good though). The coleslaw could use a bit more seasoning for a better punch rather than onions overpowering it. There's a LOT of flies around. Just around my table there was 7-9. I know people leave doors open, but I feel like before they open they should try to kill some? As i walked up to the counter there was about 4 circling the dessert area. Overall, good place to eat. I'd just cover your food when you get your drinks.

We had dinner during the special “tomato festival”. Here is a picture of the tomato I was served. I showed my sandwich to the cashier, she didn’t replace it, she didn’t say she was sorry and she gave me a cornbread cookie, as a token of apology, that was also unappetizing. We also had other cookies that tasted as if they were cooked in an oven that had burning food scraps the bottom. The tomatoes were to be heirloom and you can see from the picture it is not heirloom.

Magee's Baking Co is a beloved bakery in Lexington, serving up delicious pastries, sandwiches, and coffee since 1956. Run by the Higgins siblings, Gregory and Beverly, this classic family bakery offers an array of delectable treats such as bagels, doughnuts, croissants, and pies made from scratch. Located near Thoroughbred Park on Main St., Magee's is a popular spot for locals to indulge in their favorite baked goods.

Heard Lexington was known for the Yeast Doughnuts and that McGees was a go to establishment to try one. All I got was a Glazed Yeast Donut. I liked it because it didn't have a chalky after taste that some donuts leave you with. It had a right amount of crunch but very soft on the inside. I do have to rate Spaulding Bakery better than McGee's. I do have to say the employees were much nicer and welcoming here at McGees though.

Almost always a good experience at this place. Not our first visit, not our last. The food is always good and I was really really ready for a biscuits and gravy but when we arrived they had signs up indicating that they were only doing breakfast sandwiches due to a lack of staff. The staff was pretty surly that morning --- i'm guessing because they were short staffed... so I guess I kinda understand but only so much. We've had great experiences here in the past and that's why we keep coming back. This past experience was a bit of a downer but we will be back because we know how good they can be. The sandwiches we did get were pretty good but not biscuits/gravy good.

Great food quality and a local favorite! My mother used to bring me to Magee's as a young boy. I always got the creme horn. I went today, and I had one for memory's sake. Lots has changed, as it has evolved from a pure bakery to a bistro-cafe. I remember being fascinated by the bread slicing machine, which was close enough to the front counter to see in action. Now, there is great seating and a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. The cashier tipping options default to a minimum of 20% and increase from there, which is very forward-leaning for a counter service bistro. Of course, you are welcome to not tip at all, but to me, that always feels a bit un-generous. We can recommend the coffee and the fresh-squeezed OJ. The croissants stand up well in their sandwiches and are vastly different from what you might think of as a croissant from a fast-food restaurant. Once upon a time, the creme horns were filled with a lighter whipped cream, and now they have a heavier, sweeter, butter cream. Both are wonderful! I must say, though, that I would love to see the original return.

Impressively interesting coffee shop, love the distinctive aesthetics which also gives me a mixed feeling. On one hand, it’s unique, you get to see everyone in the coffee shop, on the other hand it’s probably not a work friendly place to have a few zoom meeting. But back to the most important part, the food taste great and leaves you wanting for more.

Cannot say enough positive things about Magee’s! My wife and I contacted Magee’s to make custom cookies and doughnuts for our wedding at Keeneland. To say everything was perfect would be a massive understatement. The cookies were as delicious as they were beautiful, and the doughnuts were genuinely the best I’ve every had (we had so many wedding guests come up to us raving about the doughnuts). Magee’s also provided the groom and groomsmen breakfast for the big day, which was delicious and filling. I can rave all day about the quality of their products, but what truly makes Magee’s special are the people. Romesh, Beverly, and Greg treated us like family from the moment we met. They genuinely CARED about making our day special and went above and beyond in every way possible to make our day special. There really is no reason to look elsewhere if you’re looking for any pasty products in the area.

Average food with redneck lack of charm. This Lexington eatery is filled with a rustic ambiance and narrow minded employees. If your white and a local you'll be fine. If your traveling and in a interracial relationship be prepared for looks and under the breath comments from there employees. I'm not trying to pull that card but it's out there. The food is average. Homemade and is acceptable for the price. The owner of they care could do much from employment if better staffing. The picture is of the triple threat. Egg of your choice prepared and two kinds ds of meat on a croissant with your choice of cheese $8.

We came and ordered our food through the drive-thru and it look then forever to bring out our food out and on top of it wasn’t right. I asked for a cool wrap and they gave me a spicy Deluxe.

I'm totally spoiled by the mobile line now and this location has not upgraded yet. Having to wait behind everyone ordering is too much lol I told the person taking the order I had a mobile order and she was so blaze' not sure if she was stoned or not happy to be there but Urgh! NOT the typical employee (only one female taking orders at 8:36 on 5/17/2025. The gentleman handing out the food was super friendly! Very polite and genuine. The worst was all the trash in the floor in the prep area. The grilled nugs were good and the diet lemonade did not disappoint- many of the fries didn't make it home because they were fresh. All in all it is a good experience.

While they often have a line backed up into the street their service is very quick. The food is definitely worth it! I love the spicy chicken biscuit for breakfast and the Mac and Cheese is delicious.

Had the best laugh ever ! When my sister ordered and they asked her name for it she said "Becky" and well when the food arrived her name was " PACKIE" 🤣🤣😂😂 FREAKIN 😂 💀 At least mine was more close but in their defense most people spell "Juls' like "Jules" but the "Packie" was the best 🤣🤣

If you're on the hunt for a delicious and customizable pizza experience, look no further than MOD Pizza. This trendy chain restaurant has made its mark with an assembly-line style that allows you to craft your perfect pie from a wide selection of crusts, sauces, cheeses, and toppings. With two convenient locations in Lexington, it's easy to pop in and create something uniquely yours or opt for one of their popular classics like the Lucy Sunshine or Dillon James.
I love places where you get to build your own bowl or pizza or salad. And this mod lets you build your own pizza and your own salad. Carter took care of us today and he really cared about making a pizza and salad that I would enjoy. The place is always clean and welcoming and has a very diverse vibe. My pizza was delicious because I got to put exactly what I want on it and watch them put the exact amount of what I want on it. My salad was made to perfection. And don’t forget the no name cakes at the counter. Plus, they are a Coca-Cola place which puts them on my list for sure. There is plenty of parking, but if you don’t know, MOD pizza is there. It is not easy to maneuver through the other parking lots and the line at Canes to get to it during meal times rush-hour.

Disappointed in my half a container of salad. When I have to ask for more lettuce twice and still don't have a full container I just give up asking for more. I understand the meats and some of the veggies being costly. However I was asking for lettuce. Did get a great cheese bread for a coworker though, they were happy
Tiffanie N — Google review
The Posh Masterpiece is not just a pizza, it’s a full-blown aristocratic experience for your face. The moment I took a bite, my credit score went up, my vocabulary became 17% more sophisticated, and I spontaneously developed a British accent that scared my coworkers. And the staff at Mod Pizza? Angels in aprons. These culinary artisans lovingly crafted my pie with the care of a grandmother stitching a quilt... if your grandma was also a badass with a pizza oven. This pizza didn’t just feed me. It elevated me. I walked in hungry and left emotionally fulfilled, spiritually awakened, and possibly knighted. 10/10 Would sell my left sock to eat again.
Michael ( — Google review
We do a lot of pizza when we travel, so to be fair, we have tasted some out of this world pizza. MOD pizza was certainly above average. The cheesy garlic bread was a little bland, and the pizza sauce was average, but the customer service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting. If we're ever around one, we would definitely consider MOD again.
Matthew G — Google review
Mod is a great “make your own” pizza place. You can choose your own crust, sauce, cheese, meat and veggies. They also have a variety of already created pizza recipes. There are a tons of toppings to make the perfect pizza to hit the spot. Pizza is always fresh right out of the oven. Service is typically quick and friendly.
Amber G — Google review
This place produced pizza lightning fast. We were on a cross country trip and needed a last minute meal for hotel and by god, they produced. The pizza is a small thin personal sized pizza but could also be shared between two kids or small humans. It was a little doughy but still tasted good. I appreciate that they used a wood fired oven.
Cody L — Google review
First time visting this restaurant. Everything is fresh and made to order. Lots of topping options for pizza or salad. Will definitely go back and try a different pizza. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The lemonade is delicious as well.

Large dining area for a pizza place, has a lot of outdoor seating. Clean! Food was hot and ready when we got it for a pick-up order. I was just passing through Lexington, but I am absolutely going to be back. They substituted cheese and sausage for plant-based variations for my pizza. I got the fig glaze on top and, wowza! That glaze is amaze! The pizzas are extremely filling. My friend and I each ordered an 11" MOD. They got the Spinach and Artichoke pizza and loved it! We were both really hungry, yet could only finish half of our pizzas. Very filling and fulfilling!

American restaurant
Nestled in a modest strip shopping center on Leestown Road, the Thoroughbred Restaurant has been a beloved fixture since 1954, serving up hearty American cuisine that honors the age-old advice to eat your vegetables. This charming eatery is not just about great food; it boasts an inviting atmosphere and exceptional service that leaves guests feeling right at home. Visitors rave about their experiences, often surprised by the delightful meals they encounter after initially underestimating its exterior.
I had an incredible dining experience at Thoroughbreds Restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky! The crab-stuffed flounder was deliciously—perfectly cooked, with a generous, flavorful crab filling that elevated the dish to a whole new level. The sautéed mushrooms were a great side, bursting with savory goodness and complementing the flounder. I also ordered the jambalaya, which was a spicy, soul-warming treat packed with bold flavors and just the right amount of kick. The atmosphere was filled with local warmth and inviting, the service was super attentive and very friendly, and every bite was a testament to the kitchen’s skill and passion. Thoroughbreds is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional seafood and Southern-inspired cuisine in Lexington. I can’t wait to return!

This place is really neat! Make sure you check out the specials menu on the back wall. The printed menu is limited. I had the lamb chops with green beans and fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were on point and the lamb chops were good. The flavor of the green beans reminded me of a southern comfort home cooked meal. My husband had the fish and chips, (sorry he had ate same before the photo) he said they were basic but good. Both dishes came with a potato or cornbread pancakes (not sure) and were tasty with the whipped spread. But what really stood out was how nice all the staff were! Very welcoming atmosphere!

I have been looking all over Lexington for Liver & Onions smothered in brown gravy with mashed potatoes and gravy. Just scrolling through my GPS I put in Liver & Onions and it took me to this place. I called in the order, the young lady taking my order was very personable and my tip reflected that. I also got brown beans and hot water cornbread as my second side. The beans are excellently flavored and textured and even though I don’t like hot water cornbread theirs was delicious crumbled into the beans. The Liver & Onions was just like mom used to cook, a real treat to the taste buds. I very rarely write reviews, but the food and service of this a place deserves it. I WILL BE BACK!!

Went once before and could not get in. Everytime in passing it has always been pretty busy. I was finally able to get in and I wasn't disappointed. It cooks to perfection, I had ordered the lamb dish with some sidings. I loved how the meat was medium rare, gravy and mashed potatoes home scratch flavor, corn was as expected and I was actually surprised with the fried cornbread. Everything was great experience. I personally did not like the sweet sauce the lamb had but I made up with that with adding some lemon. For the price and the service. I really have no complaints. Thank you and looking forward to another experience at this place.

What a 'hidden' Gem!! So this is where the local have been hanging out since the 50s. Wow.. Lots of history, and I bet even more stories can be told from this establishment. Such a cool small place. Food was great too! Definitely save room for dessert because they have such a banger banana bread pudding !

The desk at our hotel suggested we try this place. When we got there it was packed and it took a few minutes before someone acknowledged us. The staff made us feel like we were locals. The owner came up and introduced himself and made small talk with us while we waited. I had the Hot brown, which I had never heard of. It was fantastic. My wife had the meatloaf, and said it was unique but very good. Great experience overall

I’m finishing my large mocha latte (3 shots) and I’m already planning to buy a second before my parking meter expires 😜 Yep. It’s that good. And a bonus: I typically ask for things to be half sweet, but at a high-quality shop like this, I can actually just order it as is without it being overly sweet🎉

After a long detour from my trip I was greeted with a pour over coffee that did not disappoint. Finally some real coffee on this long journey today. Service was excellent and the place was booming during trivia night.
Eric P — Google review
When you first walk in, it feels like a comfortable coffee shop. As my teenagers say "It passes the vibe check". Emma was super friendly, and made a point of introducing herself. Great cup of coffee. Now the REAL magic happened when I walked in about 6 weeks later. Emma said "What's up Yemi?" I was a bit blown away, as she'd met me just ONCE, and recalled my name right off the bat. The atmosphere is friendly, inviting, and just feels like a hug...and not the weak "butterfly pat" hugs which are common among acquaintances. I'm talking the kind of hug among FRIENDS. The friendliness and genuine love which radiate from Emma, Bailee, and (owner) Sal make this THE place to get a hazelnut lavender latte (my usual) and step out of downtown and into the perfect exhale. Come here. Often.

Definitely a unique and vintage-y coffee spot. I ordered a light roast coffee and soy chai latte. The drinks were pretty good and I would definitely come back to try something else. Space is limited in the shop and the seating wasnt very comfortable. They are dog friendly which I think is cool.

This is my first time visiting but I have heard great things from my daughter. I really enjoy the space and the tables outside next to the park. The different areas and the length of shop really add to the cool factors of this place. There are a couple of unique things that they offer here to stand out even more. Italian Sodas Several real food options for Lunch A great assortment of Bakery goods as Breakfast or treats. It took a bit to get my order because of a line with only one making drinks and one making food but all was worth the wait.

Seafood market
Recently tried the fish sandwich and fries at Charlie's Seafood & Carry-Out Restaurant, which was enjoyable. However, I believe the seasoning on the fish breading could have been improved as it lacked flavor and saltiness. Nevertheless, a fish sandwich with fries is just that - a simple yet satisfying meal. The price of 20 dollars for two complete meals with tartar sauce was definitely worth it for a decent seafood experience.
Tried this place for lunch and was craving it again later the same day. Simple, good seafood to go. The value is in the fish here. They basically slap a big piece of fried fish on some bread slices or hamburger buns, and that's all it takes. It's not over-cooked or too oily like other fish sandwiches I've had. The hush puppies were tasty, too, and the slaw tasted fresh. The staff was also friendly and helpful. I'll definitely come again!
Thomas H — Google review
My first time eating here and it was great! I got chicken, fries and hush puppies and I'm now in love. Lol. I definitely will be coming back. My boyfriend got the fish and crab cake I think it was. And he loves that. The employees were very friendly helpful

I wouldn’t call this complaining I just thought it could’ve been better , I got the whitefish sandwich , fries and potato salad . They gave me 4 good size pieces of fish which was a problem because the bun is too small for that much fish . The order comes out fresh cooked and served in a container. So the fries are all on top of your fish and you have to dig everything out to make your sandwich. They give you tartar sauce and some ketchup, I don’t know if it’s an option but I’d like to be able to get the sandwich with maybe a tomato and onion ? Just my preference. Also it’s all carry out so I ate in my car in the parking lot . Food was fresh and hot and large helpings but just a little messy and inconvenient to try and eat .
James M — Google review
The food was almost inedible. The potato salad was warm and watery. The hush puppies were cooked too long and looked like little brown knots. The fish had an odd taste of OLD cooking oil. I wished that I had not eaten as much as I did. We spent $25.00 and threw over half of our meals away. I did enjoy the coleslaw. Needless to say, we will not be back.

A true Lexington staple that is known for the massive fish sandwich!! Recently they have added some new items to the menu that are fantastic additions. You have to stop in for all your seafood needs!

I absolutely love the food here but I feel that for the price I paid for a simple order of onion rings the amount should have been more substantial. I understand inflation but it's an onion not a Truffle. Anyway foods good as usual but them prices....... A shame

I have been seeing this place every time I go in that shopping area and have been wanting to try it forever! I finally got the chance today, and it definitely did not disappoint. We got the pesto breadsticks to share and they were SO incredibly good! I got a custom pizza & my boyfriend got the carnivore off the menu. Both were great but his had some incredible bursts of flavor! I also filled out a survey and got the free dessert so we ordered the cinnamon bread which was awesome! Highly recommend this place. Get the pink lemonade!
Anna S — Google review
Not very welcoming, first time here. Ordered a pizza with Italian sausage and mushrooms. Sauce was way thin, the sausage and mushrooms were good. The measurement of cheese was not adequate to cover the pizza. The pizza bottom looked and tasted a bit burned and like they had not cleaned the oven in quite a while. Bathroom was disgusting, urinal was out of order, toilet seat was loose, paper towel holder/dispenser does not work. The floors are not clean. Very disappointing.
Edward S — Google review
Always great except when they run out of pineapple. Today was a great experience. Amere, Mimi and Matthew were very friendly and helpful even checking in the back for ingredients. Matthew even went back after my pizzas were in the oven and brought out fresh spinach that was being prepped. Thanks for the extra effort! Blaze is the best pizza around here!

Update 7.16.2024: We went back recently and they had changed their delivery process. Previously, you would wait for your name to be called. Now, you get a number and they bring the food to the table. Jeremy was working the dining room and he was great and super friendly. However, I realized that I had forgotten to tell them I wanted a drizzle of hot sauce so I went to tell them. There were two employees working that station. One was working the pizzas while the other was just standing there. I stood there about 45 seconds and the second employee was noticeably avoiding talking to me. I was just about to say something to get his attention when Jeremy came over to assist me. Previous: I went to this location and the Hot Link on Cauliflower was delicious. However, the customer service was lacking. We were sitting near the oven so I saw them take my pizza out. They brought my fiancé’s pizza out but I could tell they were discussing mine. I sat there for about 10 minutes watching others get their food while mine still sat in the window. Something was obviously wrong. Finally, we asked the food runner and he was confused and said he would check on it. When he went up, the manager who was the one who had been checking the pizzas, pointed to the pizza on the top of the station. He brought me that pizza that had just been pulled out of the oven. We figured out that they had used regular crust instead of cauliflower so they had to remake the pizza. It was the first-time getting cauliflower so I couldn't tell when they were originally making it. I am glad that the manager caught the mistake and had it remade. However, it would have been nice for someone to acknowledge the extremely long wait. Especially given the cost of cauliflower is almost 4 dollars more. My fiancé was almost done eating his pizza by the time I got mine.

Love the Rapid Fire Pizza Concept. Love building my own Pizza. This Blaze wasn't busy on a late Sunday night. It was also the dead of winter. It was actually nice to have it not be busy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ordered both a pizza and cheesy garlic bread. Both excellent. Although prices are higher than they used to be, it's still a great value. Restaurant was clean. Music was a little loud but bearable. This location was great.

Very nice ! The coffee was great they come highly recommended. it wasn’t too busy but was consistent traffic. The inside was nice also modern but had a homey vibe they have a VIP board and a bulletin board with local things nice touch . I got the chai latte (my fav) I loved that it was flavorful taste was great and it came quick. I also got the spinach and feta croissant I’m happy I got it over just getting a plain one it was very good. Something I would get again but as a luxury $5 was a little on the pricey side for me. This is a nice spot that i would recommend to others they have tons of flavors tea and matcha and the coffee is affordable when getting a big size that’s a major plus.

This was amazing coffee and pastries in a historic actual old school! In our visit to Lexington we went three times, twice in one day! Oh myyyyy the pimento scone biscuit thing, I’m in love. And they had a gourmet oatmeal pie from a local company, we just kept buying them! The drinks are fabulous, we tried the “The Principal” and “The Teacher” plus later on one afternoon we tried a refresher type drink that delicious on a hot day. Service was impeccable and friendly. We’ll revisit Old School every trip!

As someone who loves coffee and trying out new cafes, I have been to many coffee shops. Old School Coffee is the best coffee shop in Lexington! The inside of the building was house-like and super cool! The cozy atmosphere offers such a cozy vibe for a cafe; it’s somewhere I would study or catch up with friends. I ordered a basic iced latte, however their menu offers various specialty lattes with unique syrups and fun names. The coffee was bold, but not too strong. They have pastries and a wide variety of specials. Old School has drinks called “The Teacher”, “The Student”, “The Librarian", and more. which I thought was such a fun touch to tie in The University of Kentucky. It is also very accessible to UK, specifically North Campus. The service was very friendly and fast. My experience at Old School Coffee was super positive and I will definitely be back to try different things!

Came into the city a few weeks ago from where I was camping to get a break from the heatwave ...my thing is trying new coffee shops where I can sit and enjoy reading, and I enjoyed visiting this place. Free parking, which was a big plus ...easy to get to and find, plenty of indoor seating. The coffee was good, and the staff were kind and friendly. Sure, the place was a little loud because of acoustics, but not *super* noisy ...I was still able to read comfortably while sitting there without too much distraction. It was just a nice, cool (figurately and literally) place to relax and read!

Located in the heart of Lexington, Hilton Lexington/Downtown is a modern high-rise hotel that offers easy access to popular attractions such as the Lexington Opera House and Rupp Arena. The hotel features an indoor pool, fitness center, concierge services, and wedding facilities. Guests can dine at Triangle Grille or enjoy room service. Nearby dining options include Limestone with its signature sandwiches and Joe Bologna's offering Italian favorites for lunch.
We had an outstanding experience at the Hilton Lexington Downtown. Our group booked over 110 rooms during what ended up becoming a completely sold-out weekend, and the hotel team handled it flawlessly. From check-in to check-out, the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. A special shout-out to Jim, who got our weekend off to such a fun and light-hearted start! The front desk went above and beyond to accommodate every request we had, and their efficiency made all the difference. The location can’t be beat—being just steps away from the Central Bank Center makes it the perfect home base for event weekends. We can’t thank the Hilton team enough for helping make our weekend a success.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at the Hilton Downtown Lexington for our wedding weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our experience! From start to finish, the staff was so kind and accommodating. Bryna was absolutely wonderful to work with—she made the process of setting up our wedding room block easy and stress-free, and even helped us secure adjoining rooms so our bridal party could get ready together. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and perfectly located for our guests to enjoy downtown Lexington. Everyone who stayed there had great things to say about their rooms and the service. We’re so grateful to the Hilton team for helping make our wedding weekend run smoothly and feel so special. Highly recommend for any wedding or special event!

Bryna helped coordinate a block of rooms for our event in early October and she was quick to answer question, provide a link for reservations, and kept us updated about the block. She reached out a few weeks before the event to ask if we wanted to upgrade our own room. We ended up upgrading to the Honeymoon Suite and it gave us extra room to get ready in and store all the extra boxes as a result of the gifts and the decorations we had. The lobby bar had an outdoor space that allowed smoking that many of our cigar smoking guests enjoyed and the waitstaff was excellent as we took over quite a few seats that evening.

Location is incredible being in the heart of downtown next to Rupp arena. The hotel itself was decent with a small bar in lobby and restaurant. In terms of the room, the shower wasn’t great. The tv was hard to use and needed a reboot. The bed was comfortable though. We did have a hiccup in that the emergency signal went off in middle of the night. Walked down 15 floors to find out nothing was wrong. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Nice place. Great(!) location. The campus is about four blocks away and a great place to go after a conference break breaks up for the day. Tons of restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are nice, and the staff was busy, but helpful. The attached parking garage was great. The Indoor pool is small… More of a soaking pool than a swimming pool. Weight room is adequate.

I had a great stay at the Hilton Inn in Lexington. The room (612) was nice and clean, though the AC didn’t cool as much as I would have liked, and there was a stain above the shower in the bathroom. Other than that, housekeeping did a good job, and the front desk staff were friendly, polite, and courteous. There was plenty of parking available, and the hotel is right in the middle of a very clean and beautiful downtown. Overall, a pleasant stay—thank you!

I noted on my reservation that I am extremely allergic to down feather products, that it triggers my asthma very badly, and I needed a room that had no down feather products. I called 4 times to explain and confirm this with hotel staff, including the night before and the morning of the day I was scheduled to arrive. I reiterated it at check-in that this was a matter of life and death, and was assured that they were well aware, that they had explained it to the housekeeping staff after my call that morning, and the room was absolutely free of down products. This was a lie. I had a severe asthma attack within 20 minutes of entering the room. After helping me to the hallway and making sure I used my medication, inhaler, and epi pen, my husband went back into the room and started taking the bedding apart. He confirmed that at least 6 of the 8 pillows and both comforters were down filled. Your staff's lying and willful negligence can and probably will cost someone their life, if it hasn't already. My husband called the front desk from the elevator landing and told them. They acted like it was no big deal, said that there was not a single room they could change us to that didn't have down feathers, period, and took their time sending someone to "fix" it by removing the down bedding and replacing with non-down. My husband asked if they could do anything to air the room out, prepping the door open, setting up a fan, anything. I had quickly reacted to the down without interacting with the bedding; it's a severe airborne allergy. We were told that they did not like propping a room open. Ultimately, my husband went in to the room to crank the air conditioning all the way on, in the hopes that there was some kind of filter in use, and we had to wait several hours before entering the room. My husband propped the door open to try to air it out. Even then, I still had hives and wheezing every day I was there, but with medication and inhalers it was survivable. We were not offered any additional assistance, accommodation or even concern, other than the front desk staff asking if I needed water, which I already had. Forcing someone to suffer a life-threatening medical event after they have practically begged you to take the simplest steps to protect them is horrendous, but not caring afterward is even worse. Any trust I ever had in the Hilton brand was ended in Lexington. I spent days recovering from the effects of the attack and the treatment, while still trying to complete the work I was there for. If we had been traveling for our own reasons, we would have called whatever politician or news station was necessary to get Hilton to refund us the cost of the poisoned room, and decamped to the closest non-hilton hotel. I am lucky I survived, and the Lexington Hilton is lucky they are not being sued by my survivors.

Our Son’s wedding was in Lexington the past weekend and The Hilton was our Home away from home for the weekend. The staff was so nice and helpful. We had a block of rooms for the wedding guest and bride and grooms family. Bryna Reed made everything so easy and was very helpful in the planning. The rooms were very nice and clean.

At Smashing Tomato Italian Pizzeria, you can enjoy an authentic Neapolitan-style pizza from a wood-burning oven. The rustic environs add to the relaxed atmosphere, and the menu features a variety of pies. This is the perfect spot for families looking for something special.
We are visiting Lexington and were looking for pizza. Read good reviews about Smashing Tomato and we both love wood fired pizza so it was an easy decision. It's on the back side of Fayette Mall near Dicks Sporting Goods, but not an actual part of the mall. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out. You can also scan a QR code and order from your table. I ordered a side Caesar salad, a cup of their seasonal soup, Chicken Risotto, Artichoke Dip and a pizza with Pepperoni, Salami ,olives and mushrooms. The food came out quick. That Artichoke Dip was so awesome. The pizza had that wood fired flavor and the ingredients were flavorful. Found out it's part of the same restaurant group as Bella Notte. They're doing something right. This was a great visit with great food. The staff member working the dining room was also very friendly. We'll be back!!!

Good all around experience. Service was quick. Pizza was good, but was a little undercooked. The underside was still pretty soft and doughy. It was missing the crispy wood fire pizza texture. Hopefully it was just a one off thing. I would try it again.

Pizza so good at a great price. We stopped for lunch today. Hadn't been in a bit and while I was very tempted by the fall menu, I went for the Capri di Bufala as I was just craving the pesto balsamic duo. My dining partner had the Margherita with classic sauce. We both got the 6 inch pizza and it was a generous and appreciated portion for the price. The service was great.

While visiting Lexington I had to try some pizza. We stopped here at the Smashing Tomato Italian Pizza. I got the Americano which is Cheese and Pepperoni, wood fired. Also ordered breadsticks. The breadsticks came up first, they had good flavor and were definitely woodfired with nice charred undercarriage. The pizza was just so so unfortunately. The dough had little flavor except for the wood fire, the red sauce was very light, with light flavor. The majority of the flavor came from the cheese and Pepperoni. The cheese is creamy and milky tasting. The Pepperoni had a nice spice to it. The undercarriage wasn't charred at all, and the pizza had a lot of flop. Employees were very nice and quick. Atmosphere was nothing to speak of. It did have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Had some beers on hand as well.

Not much service happening. They've converted into having guests place their own orders at the table. You got a pizza craving, this is absolutely one of the few solid places to go!

The best Neapolitan pizza that I have had in Lexington. Very kind staffs, very nice and respectful which is really important to me. I enjoyed the artichoke dip and pizza. The atmosphere was quite and relaxing which I liked a lot. It is a 👍.

This is one of our all-time favorite places to go. It is so reasonably priced and the food is consistently tasty. The service is generally very fast. For me and my wife this is the pizza place to go to. The only thing I wish is that they would go back to the old school music they used to play years ago. Sometimes it's like rock and roll music for a pizza environment and atmosphere. I wish it were the old way. But that's my own taste. However, it's a small price to pay for such tasty and reasonably priced food.

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a fast-food chain known for its simple and unique concept of serving high-quality chicken finger meals. The restaurant offers fried chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast as part of their menu. One interesting aspect is that they only offer one type of sauce called Cane's sauce. Customers have praised the juicy and flavorful chicken tenders served at Raising Cane's, along with the tasty Texas toast.
We usually go to the location in Hamburg but we were in the area. We received the same friendly service and hot fresh food that we expected. The food came out quickly. We usually get both the cane’s sauce and the honey mustard. We love their honey mustard which isn’t listed on the menu. I usually get an extra piece of bread or sub extra bread for a different side because it is soooo good.
Amber G — Google review
Canes is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire world! Now you might think that is an exaggeration because it’s just a fried chicken fast food place, but really, it’s much more. To start with, they have an amazing yet simple menu of delicious chicken, buttery toast, heavenly sauce, and always fresh fries. The menu only has a few options on it, but they do everything on there so well that I don’t mind at all. I have been to Canes at least a hundred and fifty times over the past several years and have never had a problem with the food, service, or cleanliness of the restaurant. The staff there always have a witty line when going through the drive through and smiles when you go inside. There are movie posters on all the walls and good music always playing. All these things and their extended hours make a great atmosphere to hang out with friends in. I’ve been to canes after cross meets and practices, for dates, after football games and parties, before some of the best nights of my life, and even after a funeral. It is just such a good place to exist in. I’d recommend this place to literally anyone, they welcome people from all walks of life, and I love them for it!

Nice restaurant to go to. The food is good, and their sweet tea is to die for. My granddaughter loves it. The restaurant is neat and clean. They have pictures all over the walls that are really cool to see. They have a drive, and they get people in and out fast. The employees that I had a chance to see are really nice and helpful. Great place to go, and I highly recommend their chicken fingers and sweet tea.
Ingrid H — Google review
Hello, fellow reviewers, this Raising Cane's location in Lexington was just amazing. As a college student, the location is very convenient since it is right next to campus. On my visit here, I ordered the Box Combo meal, which consists of four chicken tenders, one can of sauce, Texas toast, coleslaw, as well as a drink and fries. I substituted the coleslaw for another piece of Texas toast because it is just so good. The sauce here is to die for, easily the best housemade sauce I’ve had. Upon entering, the staff were very friendly and inviting, as well as the whole atmosphere of the place. The tenders were cooked to a crispy perfection, but the fries were a little flimsy. All in all, the restaurant was very upkept and tidy with very friendly staff that made me feel welcomed. My visit to Canes was a very pleasant one, to say the least.

This Raising Canes location is doing a great job! The staff working were friendly and know how to get food to you FAST. You can tell that the food was freshly made and it tasted A-MAZ-ING! I love this location specifically because of all of the memorabilia that you can look at while waiting for your order. There’s a big “UK” logo next to the Canes wall and numerous pictures framed showing off the college’s history. We loved going around and looking at all of the hidden pictures they have displayed. They also have a board next to the register labeled “Community” that highlights Cane’s action in the community of Lexington. You can tell that the owner of this location is proud to be part of the University of Kentucky and they prove that further as a highly reliable fast food facility for all people of UK to eat and enjoy at. This location is open late and is the perfect spot if you’re craving amazing food!
Miranda Z — Google review
As a freshman at the University of Kentucky, Raising Cane’s is one of my go to spots for food on campus. It’s super convenient and right by the student center. Canes is the perfect place for when you’re in between classes or just craving something quick and delicious. The chicken fingers are always hot and crispy, and the Cane’s Sauce is honestly amazing (I’d drink it if I could). The toast and crinkle fries just hit different heights after a long day of classes. It can get pretty busy, especially during lunch or after a game, but the line usually moves fast, and the workers are always sweet. It’s also a great late-night spot when you’re studying and need something fast that isn’t boring dining hall food. As a new student still figuring out campus life, it’s just nice to have a place that feels familiar and always hits the spot. 10/10 recommendation for any UK freshman.
Juliette S — Google review
I love this place! Their food never disappoints, especially the bread. If you're not a coleslaw fan, you can always replace it with another piece of the toast which is what I do personally. The chicken itself is great, and is always super juicy. The unique part of Cane's is the sauce, which is also super good. They also have some of the best sweet tea ever. The staff is usually super nice and you get your food pretty fast, but they were playing music really loud one time which was kind of annoying. The location is also super convenient for me specifically, being a college student, I pretty regularly have a good bit of time in-between classes so I can pretty regularly come here and eat. Overall, I've never had a truly bad experience going here, and its relatively affordable considering the amount of food you’re given. If you’ve never been to a Cane’s, you’re missing out!

We've never had Five Guys so when we seen one while in Lex we thought we'd give it a try. Seen the prices were on the higher side but I don't mind to pay for good, quality food. Had we chosen to dine in I would have asked for a refund after a few bites. Bun was cold, bacon was way overcooked. I got the white core end of the lettuce. Fries were under cooked and extremely salty. First & last visit.

Mancino's Pizza & Grinders is a casual chain known for its freshly made pizzas and sandwiches using house-baked rolls. The carry-out business is bustling with orders of fresh, hot Italian food leaving the door every minute. The menu includes colossal cookies baked daily, offering tempting flavors like Reeses Cup and chocolate chip. All their products, including grinders and cheesy bread, are made with in-house homemade bread.
I dined at 2 PM on a Friday. I missed the lunch rush, and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. I ordered the 12” Margherita pizza & a side of marinara sauce. The pizza came out in less than 15 minutes. The server was friendly. The pizza was phenomenal. It had a thin crust with a nicely crisped undercarriage. The fresh mozzarella was generously portioned and great tasting, the kind that stretches off the slice after a bite. The sliced tomato toppings were acidic with a robust flavor. The sauce was sweet and tangy, had good consistency, and was evenly spread. There was nothing negative to say about this pizza. I loved it and wouldn’t change a thing. This wasn’t my first time at Mancino's. It’s been a Lexington favorite of mine for a grinder for years, but this was my first time trying their pizza. I had been missing out. Pricing was very reasonable & The restaurant was meticulously clean. I highly recommend it.

Went here at peak lunchtime on a Saturday. Place was dead but was really clean, and the menu had a lot to choose from but...the food was just either okay or painfully bland.

This is by far the best sub/grinder sandwiches I’ve ever had!! I keep meaning to get a pizza to try but their grinders are just way too good! Definitely recommend the cheese steak one or the Italian combo! Fries are separate unfortunately and a bit lacking in flavor but they also offer chips and much much more! This is going to be my works go to lunch order now!
Tanner T — Google review
TLDR - skip the in-person eating and order online for pick-up since that's their priority now. We love the food here, but haven't been in months since it's pretty far from us. However, next time, we'll just order in advance and take to go because the same thing happened to us this time as last time - we ordered and they basically forgot about us in favor of to go orders. We waited 30 min for 2 sandwhiches and fries, which is silly when we kept seeing bigger orders leave and we were almost the only ones there. I finally asked and was given the fries that had been apparently ready a while and were a little cold. And was told the sandwiches would be 3 more min. Convenient. When they came soon after, I asked if it'd be faster to order out next time and got a different answer from the server- blaming the cook for forgetting our order. Only when I mentioned the same thing happened to us last time did she apologize. Where has all the good service gone? Why even have a restaurant to sit in? Just open a food truck instead! Theresa, great to hear from you! We saw your profile on the wall and almost asked to speak to you. We were there today, 10/26, at around 12:30 PM. We definitely were NOT put ahead of to-go customers - last time we visited or this time. At the very least, your employees could check on us or give us updates. I even tipped in advance, but I'm not sure what it was for...again, great food, bad service.
Derek W — Google review
Ate here the other day, and although I have known about this place for a long time, I haven't made many trips since I'm on the other side of town etc. Anyways, my friends and I got some of their sub sandwiches and holy SMOKES they are massive. If you get a half, that's easily the size of a large at another restaurant, and a whole one is just huge. Very pleased with that, and they don't skimp on the meats or anything. I had their turkey and ham this time and loved every bit of it, especially the half I took home and ate later. On top of that, they had some super fresh baked cookies up by the register and you could tell we got them ultra fresh because man they were delicious as well. Final note! I don't know if it was intentional but props to whoever was heavy handed with the syrup when it came to their cherry coke from the tap machine. It was definitely delicious, like the cola I had as a kid where they pumped in a bunch of that cherry additive. So good. Overall, a great experience and I plan to visit more frequently!

I came here with two coworkers and we went inside to order and eat. I ordered a butterburger with cheese and lettuce, and I got a side of mashed potatoes and Wisconsin cheese curds. Ordering was easy and quick, and I got my table number. It took about five minutes for my food to come out. The food was really good! The burger was delicious and had great flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very hot. I don’t think I’d get them again because they tasted very watery. The Wisconsin cheese curds were excellent, and I got marinara sauce to dip them in. The service here is fantastic. Someone was going around to collect trash. They also gave out free samples of their flavor of the day, which was a perfect little treat at the end of the meal. The inside was very clean and comfortable.

The kids burger meal was good the onion rings were ok but the salad was very disappointing there was nothing fresh about this salad more brown then green picked half the salad off my plate and the chicken inside the salad wasn't done. I will stick with chadders on the fresh salad. Might try them again hopefully it will be a better experience.

We ate inside, but the drive-thru was packed. They are efficient on how they deliver orders both inside and out. The dining area is huge and it was very clean. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and my friend had a burger. We split an order of cheese curds. All the food was good. I wish my chicken was a little juicier and thicker. It was still very good. Stopped by Culver's in Hamburg today for lunch. After seeing the commercials on TV for the fish...I wanted to try it. Once n the restaurant I saw the menu board and I ended up ordering the bacon deluxe burger meal. My husband ordered the Northern Walleye dinner. He was soo looking fwd to his meal!! When our meals were brought to our table... he told me that didn't look like Walleye. It wasn't. It was cod fish. Cod was overcooked in grease that had not been changed in some time. It was extremely greasy and the oil tasted burnt. He tried to eat it but couldn't. I went back to register and told girl he ordered Walleye and was given cod. In a few minutes the Walleye was brought to our table. The Walleye was just like the cod. Overcooked! Greasy! Not tasty at all!!! He was unable to eat it!! He had me taste it. It was AWFUL!!! All you could taste was OLD GREASE!!! EWWWW! Culver's you can do better!! So disappointed in our meal! Looked NOTHING like their TV ad!!

Indi's Chicken is a local fast food joint known for its delicious chicken wings that are tender and practically falling off the bone, according to locals. In addition to their popular chicken wings, they also offer juicy fried mushrooms, crispy and spicy potato wedges, and tasty cauliflower. The keels are highly recommended as a fantastic alternative to breasts with less bones to remove. Customers rave about the flavorful fried chicken, making it a must-try when visiting Kentucky.
They have just about any food you want deep fried! Inexpensive and quick! Mac n cheese is the best.

What a total let down. Food was not hot, mac & cheese tasted like fish, greens were ok, coleslaw was watery, cod fish was a no go (eat unless you are starving) after $23 the wings% all flats were the only thing I finished & could stomach. I won't try it again...It must be a convenient location for many, but better off going to grocery & cooking yourself. Great polite customer service.

This was our second time here on vacation in Kentucky. We definitely wanted to go back to Indi's Chicken. Crispy chicken in a delicious breading. The potatoes are also very tasty. Everything is fresh and you don't have to wait. We ordered medium! Be careful: hot is really hot!

We ordered a 50 piece yesterday before we left to head home so we had some food on the road. They had us wait and told us they need to wait for the flats to finish cooking. We got the order and hit the road and starting eating and found they gave us 10 pieces of seasoned wings (flats) and 40 pieces of unseasoned chicken. We had never had a bad experience with them until yesterday and it made it worst we waste our money and cooked unseasoned chicken wings. I am not sure how this can happen but check your food before you leave.

Great chicken. Initial service great too. Food pickup...that person could have been a ltl friendlier and accommodating. Not sure about the setup there. If it's bc of other concerns, gotcha.

Cute little restaurant location in a strip mall. Service was fast, staff very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions, and the atmosphere is pleasant. For a full meal with a side though, rather pricey. It was $26 for a gyro plate, with rice, and a side of cucumber salad.

Taco Tico, located at 1483 Boardwalk in Lexington, KY, is a fast food Mexican restaurant reminiscent of an old school Taco Bell but with better food and prices. Visitors praise the Taco salad and Ultimate Beef Nachos for their bold flavors and great value. The establishment holds nostalgic value for many patrons who remember it from years past. Despite its worn appearance, the food still lives up to expectations, with some preferring its standard taco over that of major fast food competitors.
This is way better than Taco Bell. I didn’t even know this place was here, it was on the side street but I’m glad I saw it. The meat tasted better and the cheese was tastier. The service was great as well. The lady took my order, no issues at all and they wished me a great day. Great for a little quick bite.

I grew up eating at a taco tico on Lee Rd. In Winter Haven, Florida, so I was pretty happy to stumble upon this one in Lexington Kentucky. The building and the memorabilia were great to see again. However, the inside of the store was filthy. The floors and the walls were pretty gross. The kitchen area that could be seen from the counter was pretty bad, too. The food itself wasn't bad..

This was an interesting place... It reminds me of a old school Taco Bell but with better food. This place is a fast food Mexican restaurant but I think the food and prices are way better than Taco Bell. I had the Taco salad which was very good. They were out of their enchilada sauce which what I really wanted - but I was not disappointed with the Taco salad though. It is worthy of a visit

You can't beat this place for Mexican in Lexington! Great food even better prices. I had to order half the menu because of the value. If you're a student, a family man like myself or just need something that takes the edge off your hunger this is the place. It's been around so long that even the pictures on the menu have faded but not the bold flavors in the Ultimate Beef Nochos. No sir this place will keep calling me back to Lexington from the greatest city in the world, Louisville, just to get a little taste from South of the border.
Domenic S — Google review
It has been years since I've been to a Taco Tico for a taco burger or sancho. We saw this one on the map and had to stop. It brought back good memories.
Christina V — Google review
Folks, I have been eating at this restaurant for years because of the quality of the food. I stopped by today and picked up a few tico burgers and a 10 pack of soft tacos. By the time I hit the Newtown exit, the bag was saturated with grease. This food is inedible. You should see how the grease is pooled on the food and through the wrappers. After more than 30 years, I'm done. It cost me $25 for an order that will be going in the trash.
Randy S — Google review
This location food is not as good as it used to be. I miss the ol’ days. My taco today wasn’t even half full. Even Taco Tico is experiencing shrink-flation.

Every time I drive through Lexington or Louisville KY I stop by this place. We use to get taco burgers and the yummy enchiladas when I was a kid and it’s the only place I have ever known to have taco burgers. Coming from Florida these are such a treat. ❤️❤️❤️ you guys.

Krispy Kreme is a beloved national chain known for its delightful array of donuts, including their iconic fresh-baked glazed variety. Located at 2893 Richmond Rd., this sweet haven often features special promotions, especially on National Donut Day when guests can enjoy complimentary treats. Visitors rave about the warm, soft texture and sweetness of the donuts that leave a lasting impression. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the experience, making each visit feel special and memorable.
First time here , as soon as we arrived , they handed us , the most heavenly , warm , soft , sweet , glazed donut ! The elderly man , I was with , who is 93 , said that was his , first free donut he has ever had in his life ! Absolutely made his day ! Thank you The assortment was great , the store was clean . These donuts , surpassed , Dunkin by a long shot ! I definitely will definitely be back !

This place was a huge mess. There were 5 people in the lobby wearing Krispy Kreme swag. They seemed to into something while the store was falling apart. The donuts were burning in the oil and the staff just didn’t care. The mess on the production line didn’t stop there. The lobby tables were plied with employee’s food trash from other restaurants. There was a ladder randomly in front of the napkins, and the brooms was just around. This place needs to be cleaned and leadership that wants it to be efficient. It was nasty and unless something changes we will not be back. How can the leadership see this and think it is ok. The health department can’t be ok with this.

i placed a order through uber eats & my order was a half dozen (6 donuts) of the chocolate iced with sprinkles .. I received five chocolate iced with sprinkles and one strawberry iced with sprinkles… I’m deathly allergic to anything strawberry and can’t eat it, so now i can’t eat any of the donuts because they were in the same box . can you guys send an gift card or replacement order or can you guys do something ? because im literally throwing them away

Had absolutely the worst customer service experience possible at the Richmond Rd, Lexington Ky location. The young lady taking the order couldn’t hear us. when we got to the window she was very discombobulated. I completely understand her frustrations but she kept making smart comments as if it was my fault she couldn’t hear me. She began to raise her voice and when i asked to speak to the manager and she came to the window the manager still allowed the young lady to make rude comments.

Krispy Kreme never disappoints, but what truly stood out on my recent visit was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made me feel like a valued guest from the moment I walked in. It’s that kind of 5-star treatment that turns a casual visit into a memorable experience. Keep up the fantastic work—Krispy Kreme just earned a new loyal customer!
Jay N — Google review
Extremely unfortunate experience on Easter Sunday, go elsewhere for donuts - this location is terrible. The cashier who assisted us was extremely rude, which is a word I don't use lightly. On top of the terrible service we ordered one coffee and were charged for two. We noticed the mistake just as we finished paying and let the cashier know. They didn't acknowledge the situation other than to ask if we still wanted the second coffee. We said no and were a bit confused when they brought the one coffee over and then just...walked away? When we asked for a refund, they argued with us about the order before letting us know that refunds were not possible. They offered a donut in lieu of the coffee, which we accepted since there wasn't anything else to be done, apparently. The coffee was also so bad that we ended up tossing it. Crazy that a Krispy Kreme could botch plain black coffee and basic courtesy in all of five minutes. Dunkin's right across the street, PSA.

NEVER BEEN TO A RUDE KRISPY KREME BUT TODAY WAS IT!! Never one smile even when we were ordering! They just wanted to know what you wanted straight to the point!! I payed for the donuts, kids drinks. Husband called wanting me to get him some milk so I ask for a milk and medium coffee. I payed for this never once did you here Thank you, have a good day or even a smile. Acted like they were Robots!! As I was leaving I realized they gave me a small coffee so I went back to ask if this was a medium size coffee cause I had paid for a medium. She said I don’t know I didn’t wait on you. She took my coffee through it in trash. The other girl said yes you had paid for a medium. They said I think we are out of Medium cups, I will check. The one girl took care of 3 drive-thru orders, other one was waiting on someone else. I ask are you getting me the Med.coffee? They said we may be out of them. I told them they are so rude here, if you were out of Medium all you had to do is give me 2 small instead of throwing the small you gave me in the trash. You have not smiled said thank you when checking out and have took care of everyone around but us without a smile or thank you! THEN one girl said we have a complaint so go get the manager. Still not giving me my coffee. Told the manger the problem and told her the employees act like a Robot just working with NO SMILE or saying Thank you! She apologized and got me my coffee. I told her they need to smile and say thank you to customers instead of acting like Robots!! We got in car seen a Dunkin’ Donuts across the street. Should have went there!! We left, started eating donuts and they are so very dry. Actually are the worse KRISPY KREME we have ever had. Kids only ate 1 of their mini donuts and my husband and I donuts were very dry and tasted stale. Don’t have to worry about us going there when we are at Lexington, KY EVER!!!
Faye S — Google review
We stopped here in January of 2023, and we were met with the most friendly staff! My friend that was with me had never had Krispy Kreme and when the staff heard that, they got him a fresh, warm, donut, and gave it to him to try! It was so kind of them! Of course, he was instantly hooked, and we ended up buying two boxes instead of just one. The staff and service were outstanding! 10 out of 10! And of course the donuts were perfection!

Donatos Pizza is a chain known for its crispy pizzas with provolone cheese and a variety of toppings, as well as oven-baked subs. The stores are small but clean, and customers may need to look up the menu on their phones as there isn't always a visible board menu. Despite this, the staff is friendly and efficient in taking orders. Some customers have had mixed experiences with the food quality but appreciate the customizable toppings and well-done crusts.
Dan and Dave at Donatos Pizza absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel welcome and taken care of. Their attention to detail, friendly attitude, and genuine care for the customer experience were top-notch. The pizza was fresh, perfectly made, and served with a smile. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every bite and every interaction. If you're looking for great food and even better service, Dan and Dave are the dream team. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a Louisiana-based fast-food chain that specializes in serving up delicious fried chicken tenders, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast. Their signature dish includes juicy chicken tenders paired with their tangy dipping sauce and fresh-squeezed lemonade. While some customers enjoy the flavorful tenders and quick service, others have noted that the tenders could use more seasoning on their own without relying heavily on the accompanying sauce.
the food was in my hand super quickly. very good service. nice food presentation and warm.

They forgot some of our company’s condiments but were so thorough in checking the whole order. Quickly made sure to add the items and had everything packaged efficiently for transporting! We get our employees lunch on Saturday once a month here and it’s always fast and ready! We appreciate this location and the management is always kind!
Kristen D — Google review
First time trying it and I must admit the chicken was good. But in my opinion the Canes Sauce was gross, and for a chicken place where the heck is the ranch, or any other option besides something spicy? When it comes to the fries, you don't get enough either, the kids meal serves with more fries which is odd. It's hard to find a place that sells good coleslaw and this place ain't it either. I'm sad to say I wouldn't return just for simply the chicken alone even though it was good. But the price just ain't worth it, but on another positive not the service was good, even though it hard to hear them shout your order.
Myla V — Google review
When I am craving chicken tenders this is my go-to. The food is always hot and fresh. Their bread is so delicious that sometimes I get an extra slice or sub a different side for an extra piece. My mom came to visit and we took her to Cane’s. She made fun of me for getting an extra slice…until she tried it. When she bit into it her eyes got big and let out a sound of enjoyment. I love their canes sauce, but I also get their honey mustard which is also amazing. They have a limited menu but everything they have is flavorful and fresh.
Amber G — Google review
My wife picked up drive-thru from Raising Cane's one night and brought it back to the hotel while we were traveling. We'd never been to one before, so it was a brand new experience for us. Everything we got was pretty tasty, especially the sauce for the chicken strips. The only negative I can say is that the strips weren't consistently crunchy. In fact, a couple of them were missing large segments of breading. The moistness and flavor of the meat was still great, but I would've liked a more uniform breading. All in all, though, it was definitely good enough for us to want to try the local one in our town soon.
David A — Google review
Excellent fast service and everything was made to order. Great for teams competing in the area. The only downside is that they only have chicken tenders and fries so if you’re not a chicken tender fan- this isn’t place for you.
Black P — Google review
It's definitely better than going to any other fast food late night and it's always nice and hot.

The restaurant is designed for takeout and delivery; if you want a pizza place to sit down and eat at, this is not the one for you. Their pizza is different from other pizzas in the best possible way. They have a delicious house made white sauce that comes in every box of pizza. Their pizzas are also made of wheat crust and have gluten-free options too.

Ordered Malibu Barbie Pizza, added pepperoni. Very delicious cooked just like it was in the picture. Delivery was told 45 minutes it was delivered in 20 minutes, to my hotel lobby. Driver was polite. Price is well worth it, vs the corporate chains.
Fred H — Google review
Pricey for three items. One customer found the grilled chicken sub very salty, this from a person who adds salt to food. The Popeye Calzone was great, I think they shine with these. The chicken wings were fat laden. I forgot about this bc I haven't ordered them in a while and now I remember. I'd recommend the restaurant find a better provider for wings. I've never encountered that much yellow and white yucky pure fat. I have had their pizzas before and that also is good.

If you're on the hunt for a quick and satisfying meal, look no further than Cook Out! Known for its speedy drive-thru service, Cook Out serves up a mouthwatering array of char-grilled burgers, BBQ chicken sandwiches, chili dogs, and an impressive selection of over 40 milkshake flavors that will make any sweet tooth swoon.
I am going to have to visit this location more often, I live in Ohio, and this is the closet Cook-Out. I love it because I am from North Carolina! And Cookout holds a special place for me!

I love the food at Cook Out—you really can’t beat the prices. The portions are generous, the food comes out fast, and there’s a ton of variety to choose from. Depending on when you go, there might be a bit of a wait, especially late at night or on weekends, but it’s always worth it. For the price, this place is hard to beat. Whether you’re grabbing a quick burger tray, milkshake, or some late-night comfort food, Cook Out delivers every time. Definitely one of the best bang-for-your-buck spots around

We stopped here for a late night bite to eat. The drive thru is super confusing for someone who is not from the area and has never visited. The biggest reason for it was because we were on the gutter lane, which you don't know to pull around to the side/front where the other pick up window is to pay and get your food. There is a sign avout pulling out, but it's just to keep people from pulling out at the same time as the lane next to it. Just to mich going on in the parking lot. Can't beat the price, and good was good. We definitely would stop in again. Staff were friendly.

Always love an opportunity to eat at a Cookout when we travel South. Burgers so good with real cookout flavor. The tray deals give you great amount of food for the money. Even getting a shake( more like blizzard) instead of drink for no extra cost. Cookout is the burger equivalent of Chick-fil-A for chicken. Service is outstanding with great food and a large variety of chooses.
Steven M — Google review
BBQ Chicken sandwich was great. Nice BBQ Sauce and a perfectly chared grilled chicken. The burger was good well proportioned. The cajun fries were under seasoned and the onion rings were mediocre at best. Clearly a frozen fry reheat. The cheese bites and the hush puppies almost made up for mediocre fries. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Shakes were super thick and well made. For a quick cheap bite worth the money but if your looking for more than there are other options.
Michael G — Google review
Cookout is the best! The food is amazing, the milkshakes are even more amazing, the service is always quick, even when it’s lined around the building, the staff is always friendly and it’s budget friendly too, so its not nearly as hard on the wallet as some of these other places. You really can’t beat it.
