Merrick Inn Restaurant is a charming and romantic spot located in Lexington, KY, offering traditional Southern fare in a historic manor house setting. Recently acquired by new owners, this institution has been a favorite dining tradition for over 40 years. The restaurant features a picturesque covered patio with hanging plants and a pergola providing filtered shade. After undergoing renovations, the brick-laid patio reopened in early April, allowing patrons to enjoy the idyllic outdoor space.
We love the outdoor patio. Server was attentive and gave us great brunch recommendations. This is definitely southern comfort food done well. Both the shrimp and grits and chicken cordon blue were excellent. If you like a mimosa with brunch, they offer several varieties including a cherry one.

We’re from out of town and decided to try Merrick’s based upon the reviews. We weren’t disappointed. The upscale country decor has a distinctly Lexington flair. The service was excellent and the food very good. It was plated beautifully. Sea bass was on the specials menu and was prepared with just the right amount of seasoning. The risotto was ok, not really to our taste, but the fish and other excellent sides more than made up for it. We also had the crab cakes which were generously portioned. We recommend!
Ed W — Google review
The food was very good. The atmosphere was nice,we were on the patio. The service well it was really disappointing we constantly had to ask for more drinks and asked multiple times just to wait even longer, our waitress seemed more interested in the party of 2 that she had than our party of 6. Listening to the surrounding tables their servers were top notch which should be expected at any nicer establishment. I would visit here again but next time I won't be so forgiving on the service aspect.
Steven D — Google review
Food was delicious and one of if not the best steak I’ve ever had it was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. She had the pecan crusted pork chop and it looked amazing as well. Also had the Creme brûlée and it was wonderful. Staff was attentive and very helpful. The tables were mix matched and ours was very wobbly, almost capsized it a few times. They do have valet parking, if you have any kind of mobility issues use this option as other parking can be a decent walk. Also make a reservation.
Jeremy K — Google review
Great dinner with friends. We ordered a wide variety of dishes. Peach sangria was wonderful. Lamb chops were awesome but they are loin chops and not rib chops. We had the stewed tomatoes and corn as sides. Both were tasty but could have been served hotter. Great spot for a group dinner. Especially for out of towners like us. Our service was fantastic. Great bar and patio for pre dinner drinks. Free valet parking makes getting in and out a breeze. I’d come again.
John V — Google review
Went in with high expectations, and they were met in every way they could have been met. The food looked and tasted great. I had chicken and waffles. Fruit was included, as well as two different varieties of syrup. Our server, Sandy (Hope I'm spelling it right!) checked in frequently with our table, and was a sweetheart that made the experience genuinely memorable. If I ever travel this way again, I will absolutely be stopping here.

We haven't been in years and thought Father's day would be good! Seated quickly, we did have reservations! Server was great!! Food was excellent. I had chicken and waffles and man, huge serving. Everyone loved it.
Amanda H — Google review
I visited this restaurant yesterday — one of the many times my husband and his colleagues have dined here, but only my second time joining him. We were seated in the Library Room, a beautifully appointed space, but unfortunately, the service did not match the ambiance. It took several minutes before a waitress approached our table. After our appetizer was served, there was an additional wait of approximately 23 minutes before anyone returned to take our main course orders. During that time, we noticed several guests who arrived after us were already being served and had even finished their meals. Meanwhile, another server, Matt, appeared to be engaged in lengthy conversations with what seemed to be regular patrons. I eventually had to ask him to check on the status of our meals — a step I shouldn’t have needed to take. While I understand that a busy evening can lead to delays, it was disappointing to see such a disparity in service. What made matters worse was the quality of the food: my lamb chops were charred on the outside and undercooked on the inside — far from acceptable. Given my husband's previous positive experiences here, this visit was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the setting and reputation suggest the restaurant is capable of much better.

Deli
Wallace Station Deli and Bakery is a charming stop known for its sandwiches, including the famous Big Brown. The restaurant is part of the Ouita Michel Family's group of eateries, which focuses on serving high-quality, approachable food made with local ingredients. Wallace Station offers a Traditional Hot Brown that has been featured on the Food Network.
We stopped in for lunch, enjoyed their Inside Out Hot Brown and Santa Anita Club sandwichs. Both were very good, we also loved their homemade chocolate chip cookie. This should be on your must try list of eateries. Thank you..

Such a charming place inside and out! The outdoor seating feels like you’re at a peaceful little picnic. The food is consistently tasty, whether you're craving a fresh salad, a hearty sandwich, or a juicy burger. Great atmosphere and even better bites. Highly recommend!

The turkey Rachel, Triple Crowne & chx salad were very good. Counter service& dining area was warm on a Saturday. Parking was tight but shows it was non stop busy for lunch. Would go back.

Nestled among horse farms on a 2 lane road, you will find Wallace Station. It is a historic building occupied by a restaurant. Wallace Station offers hot and cold deli style meals and delicious bakery goods. Carryout, dine-in, outdoor seating, and catering. We had a great experience and the food was delicious. It is a great place for a casual meal. We had the chicken salad sandwich and Triple Crown sandwich. Both were great, and I posted pictures and the menu. Our bill for 2 was approximately $35. I would highly recommend trying Wallace Station.

First time eating at Wallace station and will be coming back for sure. The hamburger was very tasty and juicy on the inside. Staff was great and friendly 👌

The food was amazing! My big brown burger was incredible! The french fries were perfect for my liking. Plus, the coconut cream pie is my happy food! If you haven't been, you gotta go!

10 minutes outside of town and a pretty drive thru horse farm country. Very good sandwiches and burgers. Small inside eating area with no frills, spacious outdoor seating.

I visited on a gorgeous summer day, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. There is limited indoor seating, but the cozy atmosphere makes it a nice option. The real highlight is the covered deck—perfect for enjoying the outdoors while staying cool and comfortable. The menu offers many delicious selections, including fresh salads and tasty wraps, making it easy to find something for everyone. My new favorite is the country ham and white cheddar pimento cheese sandwich! The southern hospitality does not go unnoticed!

Restaurant
Joella's Hot Chicken in Lexington is a rustic and casual spot known for its stellar Nashville-style hot chicken. This small local chain offers a variety of heat levels to choose from, ensuring there's something for everyone. The all-natural nature of their chicken has made it a favorite among locals. In addition to their famous hot chicken, they also serve jumbo wings with waffles for the adventurous foodie.
Employees were so kind and welcoming. Food was wonderful. Our Jessie enjoyed the back patio.
Ruth P — Google review
To review this place, I start with positive points. Crispy thin fries were so good. Price wise it was pretty good. Negative points are as follows Wings were uncooked and considering the price, it was like throwing your money away. In terms of cleaning, it was so disappointing. The counter was full of dust which made a bad impression. With the high google score, I was expecting a lot more. I do not suggest this place.
Matin H — Google review
Cool spot with outdoor seating besides that... The service was slower than if we ate at a sit down restaurant. Waited a good 15/20 minutes for two orders of tenders and Mac n cheese. Let's start with the good, the chicken was solid and the sauce spiked honey was amazing. The bad, first off it's really expensive and the "jumbo tenders" aren't big enough to justify the price and the Mac n cheese was dry like it was under a heat lamp for the last 6 hours. For the price and wait I don't know if I'll be back unless I just want that spiked honey sauce in a gallon jug.
Michael K — Google review
With so many great reviews, I have to hope my experience was just an “off” day. However, since it’s the only impression I had, I must say I am quite disappointed. The positives are that the seasoning was good, the chicken was tender, and the thin crispy fries were tasty. I was happy to see they cater to Gluten allergies. Here’s where my experience went wrong: 1) Customer service was not welcoming at all. Cashier gave the impression that they could care less whether or not you were there. 2) We placed our order at 5:56 PM and waited for our food until 6:25 PM. The restaurant was not at all busy (only one couple in line in front of us). 3) I ordered the gluten free tenders and they arrived on top of a piece of bread which is certainly not gluten free. 4) I ordered the 3 tenders meal but my plate arrived with only 2 tenders. 5) The trash bin was overflowing.
Kelsey V — Google review
We love Joella’s for their vegetarian options! We were helped by Melinda, who is obviously working very hard to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. When I got here she greeted me and she brought her personality to work with her. She’s since been back to our table during a lull in orders just to check on us and the other customers sitting here. Thanks Melinda!
Maggie F — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Joella’s Hot Chicken! I came in expecting great food—and it delivered—but what truly made my visit unforgettable was the exceptional service, especially from Melinda. From the moment I walked in, Melinda greeted me with genuine warmth and made me feel like a VIP. She was knowledgeable, upbeat, and went out of her way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I wasn’t sure which heat level to go with, and she patiently walked me through the options, even offering samples to help me find the perfect balance of flavor and fire. Thanks to her recommendation, I found my go-to order! The chicken? Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned. The sides? Deliciously comforting. But Melinda’s friendly attitude, attention to detail, and pride in her work were what truly stood out. She made the entire experience feel personal, thoughtful, and fun. If you’re visiting Joella’s, do yourself a favor—ask for Melinda. She’s the kind of person who turns a great meal into an exceptional experience. I’ll definitely be back soon!
Harrison Y — Google review
Great food, fabulous service! Got the "Hot" jumbo tenders and fries($13). They were spicy but not too spicy. Fries are really crispy and I highly suggest the honey buffalo sauce. Also got the cookies and cream pie in a jar($6), DELICIOUS! Three tenders were too much for me, I didn't finish my food. Great service and pretty tidy. All together, pretty good experience.
Hayley L — Google review
There is just nothing that can justify $11.20 for three tenders, and three tenders only. It's absurd. They're good, almost identical to Popeye's chicken in taste and quality, but nearly 3 times the price, 4 times the price if you add fries. This is why we're going broke as a nation, these companies know we're too lazy to cook ourselves, so we'll overpay to not have to. And then to ask for a tip while paying to attempt to force the customer to pay what they don't want to pay their employees, while charging obscene amounts for half a chicken breast. Start cooking at home!

Southern restaurant (US)
This southern restaurant is known for its delicious food, which includes cured meats like turkey and ham, as well as sweet potatoes and collard greens. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is friendly.
Was looking for home cooked meals around Lexington . Found this amazing place , just off of New Circle Rd . When we arrived , we were immediately greeted , with a smile ! We did ask , many questions , and held up the line for a few minutes , which the young lady , accepted graciously ! Now to talk about the food .....I had the mushroom , creamed chicken , a 10 , the green beans , a 10 , and the cornbread , was definitely 100 % perfect !!! I believe , I could have just eaten the cornbread all day !!! I would highly recommend this , awesome place ! I definitely will be back !
Monique L — Google review
Pork chops were fresh, but the sides were kinda warm, and (cold)mash potatoes were leftovers! But over all the food was good. The service was awesome, and the building was clean. I think they needed a menu up saying how much everything is and what they are serving. (Just my opinion)
Edneisha C — Google review
Needed a quick and big dinner after spending the day in Mammoth Cave National Park and driving to Lexington. The food here was great in quantity - took a while to get ready - the spaghetti was insanely oily. I had the mac and cheese, and the fried chicken as well. The place didn't have a menu, and when I walked in, the girl started asking me what I would like, so I pointed to one salmon roll, and then she said I could only have two of them. Then, she wouldn't give me spaghetti alongside, so we just chucked that order, and I waited for the guy to come around and help me out - definitely not a smoothly operating place. They have a huge hall and a restroom at the end of it.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! I’ve made a point to visit Mimi’s every time I’m in Lexington! My dad and I discovered this spot in 2017 and it still, to this day, is the best catfish I’ve ever had. Light and flaky with just a touch of crispy, well-seasoned batter. It melts in your mouth and is the best catfish you’ll find outside of New Orleans. The staff is friendly and every side item is delicious. My favorite side by far is the greens, but you can’t go wrong with anything you choose! Definitely make a stop for that feel-good food and DON’T FORGET TO BRING CASH!!!
Olivia A — Google review
Great customer service! The server is kool along with the cashier. The decor and vibe was live and vibrant. Consistent flow of customers. Pick your drink (kool-aid jug or pop) in the cooler by the door or order fountain, pick your meat whatever is on display, and pick your two sides. Add a cake to go! Out the door you go unless your dining in.
Senta C — Google review
Fancy dinner plates, supper forks versus salad forks, glass drinkware, classic melodies playing in the background... None of that matters if the food isn't good, especially if the price matches the ambiance. Now *this* is what I call good eatin'. Down home, southern style, full of hospitality - Mimi's Southern Style cooking did NOT disappoint! You walk in and they have a hot bar front and center with all the good food they offer. We got our food for dine in. Their portion size was unexpected and definitely big enough. Husband got two fried porkchops (so flavorful and juicy), with cornbread (not necessarily as sweet as we like, but better than most restaurant cornbread), green beans (delicious), macaroni and cheese (yummy) and mashed potatoes (if these weren't homemade, they definitely tasted like they were). I ordered the shrimp alfredo, which was so good and not dry in the least. It had a hint of a spicy kick, but it was barely there. I got the same sides he chose. Neither of us could finish our food! I told the employees that I didn't want to stop eating, but I couldn't possibly eat any more, so I grabbed a box to take the rest home with me. Then my husband asked for another order of the mashed potatoes and green beans to go, along with an order of their collared greens. We both left full, satisfied, and even looking forward to eating more for supper later! Also, the price was more than fair and absolutely worth it. This was our first time visiting and it definitely won't be our last. If you're ever in the area, we recommend you absolutely give them a try! *Employees were the absolute sweetest, also!

My grandfather and I went here for their burger week burger. I got the burger and mac n cheese, my burger was overcooked, I asked for no tomato and it still came on my burger and the tomato had a hair in it. The mac n cheese was pretty good though. My grandpa got the fish, baked beans, and potatoes. He didn’t enjoy his food much. They did pick up the fish with their bare hands which personally I think is unsanitary as she did not wash her hands after handling other orders and customers before us. The restaurant itself was clean and service was adequate not super nice but not mean either.
EmmaGrace H — Google review
I went to Mimi’s for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The service was super friendly and they had a variety of main dish and side options. Sometimes when food is in a buffet setting it gets cold but our dishes were hot and fresh. We had smothered porkchop and the gravy was nice and thick. I LOVED the cornbread. I am not the only one because while we were there a lady came in and ordered a dozen. They had a steady stream of people coming in and the staff worked quick to keep up.

Chicken restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Grimes's Fast Food, formerly known as Richies, is a long-standing family-owned restaurant in Lexington that serves up the best fried chicken in town. With a secret spice blend passed down through generations, they offer a variety of options including wings, breasts, seafood, and barbecue. The menu also features an array of Southern side dishes such as fried green tomatoes, corn on the cob, and mac and cheese.
Yaaas, I'm in love with the goodness of fried chicken livers! I can't leave KY without getting fried chicken, and I'm sure it's much better than anything you'd find in NYC. They cook with love and pride ,and that really makes a difference.
Emmika W — Google review
Food was just horribly bland, hard and the prices come on now. The 5 pieces of okra and I think their interpretation of fried green tomatoes should just be removed from the menu. The only thing we did like was the baked beans and my husband ate his chicken pegs. To charge for condiments like hot sauce when you selling checking is crazy. We won't ever return!
Novia J — Google review
They took longer than I expected. Forgot my gravy for my chicken liver dinner and the extra I ordered. They forgot my pint of Mac n cheese until I checked and reminded them. Things are alot better when the business owner is there. Just seemed like the 2 young women behind the counter didn't care. There were 2 young black gentlemen waiting longer than me and my food came out first. Shouldn't have happened. Food is good but customer care is lacking a bit whenever the homeowner isn't there.
Malachi P — Google review
We are from Northern Kentucky and were in Lexington for the day and wanted fried chicken. This place popped up and we decided to give it a shot and boy are we glad we did! After ordering we spoke to an employee who insisted we try the spicy chicken. He brought out four wings for us to try and they were truly incredible! The staff is friendly and engaging. We will be back for sure. This is now one of our favorite places. Thanks to the staff for making such a wonderful impression!
Shelby W — Google review
Friendly staff!! We had a large order, but received it quickly. Some of the sides were delicious (greens & yams) & some of them needed more seasoning (red beans & rice & the mac & cheese). The wings were good & crispy, but in my opinion, needed a little more seasoning.
Kim T — Google review
If you are ever looking for a small local favorite that is decently priced and you get amazing food, this is one of those gems. They have so many sides to choose from. My only advice is skip the mashed potatoes and opt for something else you can't usually get- like fried green tomatoes, corn on the cob, Mac and cheese... I had a hard time choosing.
Laura C — Google review
This place is traditional southern cooking staples. Had the chicken breast. It was yummy crispy and juicy. Peach cobbler was simple and to the point. I believe it's canned peaches and pre made pie crust mixed together. Not bad. My wifes livers had good flavor however 80% were over cooked a bit. So made them a bit bitter. The ones that were not as cooked were good. The potato wedges were good and filling. Heavy on the pepper. Need something to combat that. But flavor it had. A sauce would be beneficial.

I ordered the jack salmon sandwich it was decent but it stull had the whole back bone in it snd s lot of small bones.I wouldn't recommend for a child or elderly person. The taste was good and hot

Loved this divey atmosphere. The made to order chicken was delicious. Takes about 15 minutes and well worth it. The prices are reasonable. The Blues jukebox cranked great tunes nonstop. The best part was the server, Denise. She kept me informed of the meal staus and ensured I was content and satisfied during my visit with her cheery and lively demeanor. Definitely recommend.

I tried this restaurant for the first time recently. Unfortunately, I am not sure I will go back. I ordered ahead online. Originally, the time for pickup was 2:17pm. Once I ordered online through their website, it changed to 2:30pm. I waited to go into the restaurant until the quoted time and went to the pickup area. The waitress was nice but not exactly genuinely so. She told the cook my name and I saw him check the ticket. He said “3 minutes”. They have a huge window so I could see him cooking. I watched him START my order. Almost 15 minutes after the quoted time I was walking out with my food. As far as the food, I was not a fan of the mac and cheese. It just didn’t have a lot of flavor, in my opinion. That may be a personal preference as it seemed to be a favorite on the ordering website. I will say the okra and the chicken was good. The chicken was very juicy. However, the overall value was not there. The 3 Piece Dark Plate was nearly 18 dollars.

As soon as you walk in you’re welcomed by smiling faces with music and an amazing atmosphere 😍 We’ve had the original location of Gus’s in Mason and let me tell you!!! This place is JUST AS GOOD!!! The chicken is filled w flavor, the okra is filled with flavored and the Mac n cheese is FILLED with flavor. Everything about this experience was top tier. I’ll make an hour drive for this food anyday 😍😍

Wow is how I can start. My first time having this great chicken. It was so tender and juicy along with the fried green tomatoes and my sides. I wasn’t expecting to hear the gentlemen taking my order say his name was Gus, so I was even happier to meet him in person. All of your staff was very polite and helpful. I will be back and will bring someone with me to share. Thank you 😊 all.

Fried okra was the best I’ve ever eaten. The beans and coleslaw were good. The star was definitely the chicken. My wife had a chicken breast which was juicy and delicious. The tenders were huge and amazing. If I lived in Lexington, I would bring visitors here.

So the last time I was at Gus's Fried Chicken was when I was in Little Rock, Arkansas. I didn't know there was one in Lexington, KY...visiting home and just happened to see it. A quick lane shift and then on Water street and 20 minutes later eating fried green tomatoes, and 1/2 fried chicken with coleslaw and baked beans. Everything was as I remembered. I am so glad I found it. This place isn't expensive and the staff is hilarious and easy to talk to like your old friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and it appears folks from all walks of life can agree there is nothing better than great fried chicken.

As a former Lexington local who now lives out of state, Gus’s is always my go-to spot whenever I’m back in town — and for good reason. The food is consistently incredible — hot, flavorful, and made just right. During my most recent visit, a piece of chicken was accidentally left out of my order. I gave them a quick call, and I was truly impressed by how they handled it. They said the owner would personally deliver it, and to my surprise, they showed up with a full plate and dessert! That kind of customer service is rare and genuinely appreciated. I was already a fan, but this experience sealed it. I’ll definitely be back and will keep spreading the word — Gus’s is a must-try!

There I was driving across the country, making my way north through Kentucky about an hour away from Lexington. I had a hankering for some good southern food, preferably fried catfish or fried chicken with some greens, mac and cheese, or fried green tomatoes. A quick Google map search showed me Gus's Fried Chicken with great reviews so I set it up on my map. I got there and met Letoya, who works there, and she gave me a good overview of the menu and gave me the best options for a shared family meal of everything I was craving. Long story short, Letoya and the cooks were awesome and made some of the best damn fried chicken I've had in a long time. They season their chicken perfectly and the skin is almost as crispy as pork rinds, but the chicken is juicy. That's the best way I can explain it. 8 hours later and I can't stop thinking about how good that chicken was. Thank you for some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. 9.3 out of 10 for a review. Amazing fried chicken and sides. Also, try the chocolate chess pie. I think that's what it was called. Thank you Letoya!

Ramsey's Diner - Zandale is a bustling diner that serves breakfast all day and offers familiar comfort food along with draft brews. The restaurant has a selection of salads, each served on salad mix with various toppings and homemade dressings. It specializes in true Kentucky-style cooking, offering thirteen entrees including meatloaf, pan blackened catfish, and country fried pork chops paired with three perfectly prepared vegetables.
10/5/24 My husband and I came here for dinner, as we were trying to find a place to go that wasn’t a chain. I’ve only been to Ramsey’s one other time but it had been years ago. Also, it was at a complete different location. If you’re looking for amazing Southern food with generous portions, Ramsey Diner is the place to go. My husband and I ordered the steak dinner, which came with perfectly seasoned mashed potatoes, crispy fried green tomatoes, creamy mac and cheese, and a side of rich, flavorful chicken livers. Every bite tasted like comfort food at its finest. To top it off, we shared a slice of their decadent peanut butter pie—it was the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal. This place has Great Southern cooking, hearty portions, and a cozy atmosphere with great wait staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The portions were so large we even had leftovers to take home. Hands down, the best restaurant experience we’ve had yet!

A True Comfort Food Gem – Ramsey’s Diner in Zandale Ramsey’s Diner in Zandale hits the sweet spot between hearty, homemade cooking and warm, welcoming service. From the moment I sat down, I felt like I was in a familiar, comforting space. The food was outstanding — generous portions, beautifully seasoned, and clearly made with care. The meatloaf was tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with a rich tomato-based sauce. Sides like buttered corn, baby carrots, and pinto beans were simple but satisfying. And let’s talk about that mini pie — flaky, sweet, and the perfect finish. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Staff were cheerful, prompt with coffee refills, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. Even during a busy evening, my server checked in regularly and made sure everything was to my liking. The atmosphere is casual but inviting — think classic diner charm with a hometown feel. The red-checked tablecloths, hot coffee, and steady flow of conversation make it a great place to relax and enjoy a comforting meal. All in all, Ramsey’s Diner exceeded expectations. It’s the kind of place you return to not just for the food, but for how it makes you feel. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Southern hospitality.

We had chicken fried steak, Cajun fried catfish, southern catfish and they are all delicious! The side dishes - mashed potato, sautéed spanich, sautéed corn, green beans are divine as well. The environment is perfect for kids with paper and crayons for the little ones to draw on.

Friendly, efficient, conscientious service coupled with generous portions of Kentucky’s best hallmark dishes!! A great time was had by all!

Local Feed is a charming restaurant housed in a historic brick building, offering a cozy atmosphere and an outdoor patio for al fresco dining. The menu features comforting local dishes and an impressive selection of bourbon cocktails. Visitors rave about the quality of the food, with highlights such as perfectly cooked strip steak, delectable deviled eggs, and flavorful fried chicken. The brunch experience is also highly praised for its fresh and flavorful offerings, including made-to-order omelets.
OH MY GOODNESS! While traveling we were looking for a local place to rest and relax and enjoy local fare. Local Feed was amazing! Located just steps from Georgetown College, the atmosphere and vibe were an experience you must see. Brandon, our waiter was attentive, offered great suggestions for our meal, and very laid back. Again, the atmosphere is electric. COLD water in a glass jar was brought to the table with sparkling glasses. The water was delicious and COLD! We made our selections and ordered. The food arrived promptly and was hot, fresh, and delicious. My fried chicken was so flavorful. It is locally sourced and obviously fresh. The Cornbread was good, but I prefer buttermilk Cornbread. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, either on the patio or sidewalk. If you are within 25 miles of the Local Feed, you must check it out.

This farm-to-table restaurant was a great dining experience for our first night in Georgetown. Our server Olivia was the most friendly and welcoming waitress we have had. The deviled eggs and cornbread starters were a perfect beginning to our meal. Since we arrived later in the night, ingredients for the beef stroganoff were out so a good substitute was the two-piece fried chicken with whipped mashed potatoes. Other diners had the fried catfish w/ coleslaw and the largest hush puppies I've ever seen, and the 3 for $23 small plate meal consisting of brussels sprouts, soup beans w/ braised ham, and salisbury wagyu meatballs. The food was plenty and we all went home with enough leftovers for a second meal. Local Feed should be a must-try when visiting Georgetown, and be sure to make a reservation online.

My husband and I were in town for his business trip and found this little place and loved it! Everything about our experience was top notch. I had a blueberry spritz cocktail, then the skillet cornbread with sorghum butter. It was melt in your mouth delicious! For the main dish I had the chicken and dumplings and it was perfect. Everything was fresh, and the chicken was very tender! For dessert I had the peach cobbler with butter pecan ice cream. Absolutely delicious. Lawrence was our server, he was very polite and on time with everything! Thank you! We will definitely stop back in if we are ever back in Georgetown.

Perhaps it was an off day given all the positive reviews but we had a poor experience here. From the not even trying to be passive aggressive host to the slow service and bland food nothing stood out but the stomach aches afterwards. We were a larger group without a reservation as this was an impulse visit. We checked with the host and offered that we would be happy to go somewhere else if they couldn't accommodate. He said fine. While seating us though he lectured the whole group that parties of six or more really should call ahead and he really hopes we remember to do that next time (there were 7 of us) if it's a problem seating people then tell them so. Don't do it and then lecture about how we violated restaurant protocol we knew we were asking for a favor. On to the meal, the chicken and dumplings are not what you are thinking if you are from the South. This is not cracker barrel or a meat and 3. This is soup with chicken and some dough balls. Sadly the chicken had no flavor nor did the dumplings even after drowning them in salt and pepper. The broth was oily. I think they cook whole chicken with skin in creating a slick oil soup that will make your mouth feel like it was coated in vegetable oil. Two people in our group ordered and found it to be very bad in one case they just couldnt stomach it at all. I made an effort at mine and felt pretty bad for the rest of the day. Our medium rare steak was rare to the point of blue with a cold center. We would have sent it back for a quick refire but our server was absent and the food itself had taken over 40 minutes to arrive. The meatballs were delightful though as were the devilled eggs. Mentioning service it was terrible. When he did check on us one person would speak up and he'd be off leaving people with empty glasses. Overall just really poor experience. we saw some other folks leave without ordering so again maybe a shorthanded day but no one explained anything, checked on us or showed any care that a crummy meal took nearly 2 hrs involved a rude host an absent server and a slow kitchen.

Went off of our path to go to Local Feed. This was a trip well worth it. The food was exceptional with an excellent atmosphere. The whole menu is farm to table and you can tell by the freshness. This is well worth the trip and we would go out of our way to go here again. Well done Local Feed!

Stopped in for late lunch. They serve all day breakfast. We tried the cornbread, deviled eggs, and chicken and dumplings. I had to season the eggs and dumplings. I also prefer bite size pieces of dumplings and chicken. I had to cut it up a bit, but that’s just my preference. It was definitely made from scratch and with care. Server was friendly and accommodating. Prices are what we expected. Overall great experience and would certainly eat here again!

We ate at the Local Feed in Georgetown, KY on Friday at 5:30 PM, 9/5/2025. This was our third visit of what will be many more! Everything was spectacular the first time we went, and the experience keeps getting better! The 7oz filet (medium rare) is superb; the sides are delicious and the small plates are out of this world. We had the beef lettuce wraps, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy along with the steaks. She loves the cocktails and they serve Blanton's!! The filet is one of the best I've ever had, on par any filet we've ever had, and, yes, it's that good!! The ambience is perfect-modern and rustic; I feel at ease just walking in. The service is always personalized; I love asking their opinions because they are spot on. Brandon was our server Friday night who suggested the lettuce wraps. We have had good luck with the servers all three times, btw. (They provide your own jar of water so it doesn't run out; love that!!) This is a very "Kentucky" restaurant and we love coming here. Sometimes a restaurant that is new to you seems great but disappoints down the road; the Local Feed just keeps getting better. As an aside, the drive home to Lexington is beautiful-rolling hills and horse farms! What a great evening!!

Winchell's Restaurant and Bar is a lively sports bar located in Lexington, KY, known for its standard pub grub and Southern favorites like Hot Browns. The restaurant has been a neighborhood favorite for over 30 years and was taken to the next level when it was acquired by Eric Abe Lansdale and Graham Waller in 2002.
There was a farmers market going on outside when we visited. I had pancakes, bacon and home fries. All three were cooked to perfection. Sweet tea was delicious. I also had a mimosa spiked with peach vodka and I’m going to wake one that way from now on all the time! Our waitress was very nice, took our orders quickly, made recommendations and was on top of making sure we enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere at this place is stellar. We are big soccer fans and didn’t know this was a soccer bar/ restaurant! Visiting from Columbus Ohio and will definitely be back. Thank you!

I ordered the cheeseburger with tater tots and a sweet tea. My friend ordered a cheeseburger with coleslaw and a sweet tea. I was disappointed that they didn't have sliced pickles to go on the cheeseburger. But the cheeseburger was excellent except for the price of being about $14 for the whole plate. And they also charge for the sweet tea which was mediocre. I don't know if they didn't have enough waitresses that day but we had to get up and get our own mayonnaise even though we ordered it. The place was really really clean and had lots of of patrons there.

The buffalo chicken sandwich had so much blue cheese all I tasted was penicillin did overtook the taste of the buffalo chicken lettuce tomato and the bread. I brought it to the attention of the gentleman that was at the bar and all he said is hes sorry. The fries were good and atmosphere was good but that's all I can say about this trip.

My husband and I both got breakfast platters with fried eggs, bacon, home fries and biscuits and gravy. The food came out hot and fast. I will have to say this restaurant is really heavy on the salt. Actually more salt than just the average. Our waitress Nikki was phenomenal. She always checked on us. Refilled drinks as needed and was overall a wonderful waitress. I’m not quite sure I would eat breakfast here again just because of the heaviness of salt. But I may try lunch to see if it’s better.

Love, local businesses, especially ones that have sustained decades of service to the community. Portions are large and Refills on coffee and water come quickly. Personally, I like that they use a better grade of wheat bread for the toast. And the country ham is legit. Not the thin kind - the good kind.

Great place with amazing food for the price point. A handful of local brews on tap and a full bar. You would think that it's a sports bar and some folks may consider it that but the food quality is certainly above bar food level. All of our visits we've had outstanding service. My only very minor complaint is that I wish they had Miller Lite on draft but they're more than happy to bring you a bottle and glass. Also, I couldn't help noticing that the music played over the sound system is all covers of major artists by artists I'm not familiar with and they do not have a TouchTunes here to play music on. And even though a very close and exciting Reds game was on this Sunday they didn't turn the volume on. Not sure if that's standard protocol or not but if it is a sports bar some sound for games would be a step in the right direction. Phew! Please take that all as some constructive criticism. The food and service are above and beyond, the establishment is clean and has a very local feel to it, and they seem to maintain a family friendly environment while simultaneously offering patrons full bar service. Also, I've been here for breakfast and it's one of the best in Lexington. The food here just never disappoints!

Winchell's has been on my “need to try” list for over a year. I have always heard good things. We don’t live on that side of town, so we just made our way there recently. Honestly, my husband wanted to go somewhere else but since he couldn’t really decide where we ended up at Winchell’s. I have nothing but good things to say, and same for my husband. The server (Parker) was exceptional. He was genuine and kept our drinks filled. We started with the potato skins and as you can see from the picture they did not skimp on the toppings. When Parker brought out the meals he was even more impressive. I got the BBQ sandwich and after he sat it down he said. “You may want to check the bottom bun. They get soggy fast.” I checked and it was in fact soggy from the juices that had leaked from the BBQ. He brought me a new bun immediately. The BBQ sandwich was flavorful and the slaw and BBQ worked great together. Just a heads up I had to unlock my jaw to eat it. (not complaining) I also got the Macaroni & Cheese and it was super creamy and delicious. My husband got chili and wings. He liked the chili but loved the wings. He got buffalo flavor and asked the waiter if it was homemade and if they sell it by the jar. The answer was yes and yes as they sell it by the quart and pint. We didn’t get a jar that day but my husband has since went back to get a jar of the buffalo sauce.

The restaurant has hosted various celebrities, as evidenced by their portraits lining the walls. What an amazing place for a date night (or if you just want some excellent food).. We started off with the all you can eat house salad which was delicious.. until the main course came, I completely forgot about salad. My filet with blackened shrimp was cooked perfectly AND one of the best I've had. Those brussel sprouts I could eat every day, AMAZING! my wife's Bluegrass chicken was fantastic. Our waiter Spencer and his assistant Allie made a great team and insured we had everything we needed with great hospitality. The next time I'm in Kentucky, I'm eating HERE!

Stopped in to Harry’s with the kids after the movies. Nice, low key atmosphere. Accommodating and friendly staff. Delicious steak tacos and melt in your mouth Crab Rangoon appetizer. My husband had the twin filets and of course, I had to sample. Mouthwatering and delightfully tender. Kiddos enjoyed their food too, full bellies and happy campers. Also received a $25 gift card for a promotion running, spending over $100. Nice little kick back, thanks! 10/10 recommend.

Me and my wife went in today for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The staff were friendly and quick to assist with anything we needed. The food was ready very quickly in comparison to most places we’ve been and the food was exceptional. I ordered the 12oz filet mignon and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the sear on the outside was beautiful. We got a complementary dessert since it was our anniversary and since we spent over $100 we also a $25 gift card to spend towards any of their other restaurants should we go again(which we will) and they even gave us some free bread to go on the way out. Was an amazing experience and we will be going again next chance we get. 10/10 would recommend!

My son took me here for my birthday and it was great. We inadvertently ended up there during happy hour so we ordered a few sushi rolls and shrimp cocktail at happy hour price; super fresh and delicious. My steak was really thick, which made it even more impressive that it was cooked perfectly how I like it (medium). My son loved his chicken fingers. Our server Megan was super attentive. And they have a great promotion right now. If you spend $100 you get a $20 gift card. And to top it off I got a dessert for my birthday, a delicious cinnamon donut with a scoop of ice cream (pictured). Looking forward to coming back.

Top 5 restaurants I've ever been to, and my favorite one in Lexington (and for that matter, all of Kentucky). Service was great, steak was excellent, deviled eggs with caviar also excellent. Stopped by this restaurant as my friends and I were passing through town on Sunday for lunch. The atmosphere had a very cool vibe with celebrity signed menus adorning the walls - I wanted to walk around the dining room to read them all. The service - top notch. Abby and team were terrific - very attentive and quick to refresh a drink or answer questions that our table had. The dining room was very clean. Where the restaurant fell very short in my opinion was my lunch item. I had ordered the Chicken Sandwich, crispy fried with the crinkle cut fries. I was highly disappointed with the portion size of the chicken and with the seasoning. The chicken itself was less than a half inch thick, doubled that with breading and completely overwhelmed by the massive bun. I had to pick up the top of the bun to make sure the chicken was actually on the sandwich. Nice crunch, but not that flavor punch I was expecting. I had to ditch the bun on the plate and eat the chicken, lettuce and tomato by itself. Sadly, I've had larger and more flavorful chicken sandwiches from fast food restaurants and certainly for less than half the cost of what I had here. Fries were the best part of the plate - perfectly cooked with a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. The other five in our party looked like they had decent plates - Southwest Grill Wraps, a Cobb Salad, Fried Fish Sandwich and BLT - I'd suggest selecting one of those items over the Fried Chicken Sandwich any day.

First time visiting. I was super excited to order the Wagyu steak. I was SO disappointed. First, I failed to read that it was American Wagyu. As I have now learned, if it were Japanese, the 16oz steak offered by Malone's for $119 would not be remotely affordable. Live and learn. The steak arrived charred as shown in my pic. Charred?! It was difficult to even cut due to the level of char. Inside it was cooked as ordered to medium rare. When the server came to see how everything was, she could clearly see my unhappiness. Next the (I presume) Assistant Manager came by and offered to have another cooked for me on the flat top and not place it under the broiler as they apparently do with all steaks. The second steak arrived without char but was SO salty that the salt overpowered the steak. OMG, I'm dying at this point. I was again checked on by the Assistant Manager and then the Manager came by. I expressed my disappointment, now with the overly salty meat. It was again cooked medium rare as ordered so they know how to do THAT part. It again was more difficult to cut than Wagyu should be. In the end, we were offered a free dessert (the huge chocolate cake is delicious and more than enough for our party of 4) and they took $30 off my check. However, that means I still paid $90 for steak that was not great. Oh well. The baked potatoe and salad were really good so there's that. The service was great and I did appreciate management doing what they did to make the experience better. I personally think they need to cook the Wagyu differently than their other steaks. And consider offering Japanese Wagyu.

I enjoyed my son's suggestion when we went to Chuy's. I was a bit surprised that the Cheese Chile Reno was filled with cheese and peppers, not to mention the Chile was long and skinny and had a crunchy coating. But that's probably the "Tex-Mex" style. It was a small menu, but I enjoyed the food, and our server was kind and patient with my questions.

Horrible location. Nothing like the Texas stores. The cheese enchiladas were Horrible and had obviously been sitting in the window for a long time. When I brought it up to the manager he was very unfriendly and asked what do you want me to do. I'm like you can tell these have been sitting in the window. He's all what do you want. I was like some enchiladas that aren't cold and nasty. I just left. I was sooo disappointed in the food. I was actually super happy that a chuys was next door till I got the food.

The service at this restaurant is always really great. Laken was our waitress today and was absolutely phenomenal. She was attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire meal. I do wish that Chuy’s had combination plates like other Mexican restaurants. I understand though that it’s a corporate set menu, so not much they can do. The food was good for Kentucky standards (worst Mexican restaurants I’ve ever experienced), but if you’ve lived anywhere like Texas or California it’s meh. The enchilada sauce tasted bitter, wouldn’t recommend that.

I’ve heard good things about this place So I came to try It, it seems it’s either the food or service is bad, the last time the food was not great, the food was cold and chips were stale but the service was fine, this time the food was great, everything was hot and fast, however we were there for 50 minutes and got a single refill for a single person at our table by our waitress, tiny, than didn’t return, after about 30 minutes I had to go grab someone to leave at that point asked our waiter who was speaking to another waitress and it was still a different waiter that brought the waiter, party of three and asked for drinks to go and she only brought two drinks. The manager, Adam, was nice however at the end he came or apologize on her behalf and made sure we were taken care of.

Indi's Chicken is a local fast food joint known for its delicious chicken wings that are tender and practically falling off the bone, according to locals. In addition to their popular chicken wings, they also offer juicy fried mushrooms, crispy and spicy potato wedges, and tasty cauliflower. The keels are highly recommended as a fantastic alternative to breasts with less bones to remove. Customers rave about the flavorful fried chicken, making it a must-try when visiting Kentucky.
They have just about any food you want deep fried! Inexpensive and quick! Mac n cheese is the best.
Natalie N — Google review
Tater wedges, Mac & cheese and okra were amazing and fresh. The fried Cauliflower lacked flavor. Was very bland and needed some seasoning. The rice was also phenomenal! 🙌🏾. Customer Service was spectacular.
Princess — Google review
What a total let down. Food was not hot, mac & cheese tasted like fish, greens were ok, coleslaw was watery, cod fish was a no go (eat unless you are starving) after $23 the wings% all flats were the only thing I finished & could stomach. I won't try it again...It must be a convenient location for many, but better off going to grocery & cooking yourself. Great polite customer service.
TFMbody360 — Google review
This was our second time here on vacation in Kentucky. We definitely wanted to go back to Indi's Chicken. Crispy chicken in a delicious breading. The potatoes are also very tasty. Everything is fresh and you don't have to wait. We ordered medium! Be careful: hot is really hot!
Thor S — Google review
We ordered a 50 piece yesterday before we left to head home so we had some food on the road. They had us wait and told us they need to wait for the flats to finish cooking. We got the order and hit the road and starting eating and found they gave us 10 pieces of seasoned wings (flats) and 40 pieces of unseasoned chicken. We had never had a bad experience with them until yesterday and it made it worst we waste our money and cooked unseasoned chicken wings. I am not sure how this can happen but check your food before you leave.
Darien C — Google review
Best fried chicken anywhere. Get the spicy keel . It’s fantastic!
Quenton T — Google review
Great chicken. Initial service great too. Food pickup...that person could have been a ltl friendlier and accommodating. Not sure about the setup there. The way it is made me feel like I was not in a safe place. Idk if that's necessary, but maybe so. If it was built that way bc of covid, it's probably time for some remodeling. If it's bc of other concerns, gotcha.

Food for the soul. Yes, they are known for their chicken wings. But, they also have great potato wedges, crispy and spicy, as well as fried mushrooms and cauliflower. Absolutely tasty. Service was great and staff was friendly. It’s fast food, so nothing fancy. But it was yummy!!

Donut shop
Donut Days Bakery, a family-owned establishment since 1972, is a beloved spot for locals and harried executives alike. The bakery offers an array of freshly baked goods including glazed donuts, cookies, cakes, rolls, breads and pastries. With two locations in Lexington, it's a go-to destination for traditional yet delicious treats such as cream-filled donuts. The friendly neighborhood bakery is known for its welcoming atmosphere and fresh offerings that keep customers coming back from 6 a.m.
Last week I went to a new donut shop downown and had some of the worst donuts I've ever had, which left me with a donut shaped void in my life. So fast forward to today, I decide to try out this place for the first time earlier and it was exactly what I was craving. I briefly heard something about how they donate the leftover donuts, which I loved to hear after finding out a lot of other donut bakeries don't last week. Their prices were great, on top of everything else. This will be my go to place for donuts from here on out.
Emily P — Google review
Wow! One of the best if not the best bakeries in town! We come here several times a year for donuts and cookies and pie and today I stopped by to pickup an apple pie I had been given a gift certificate for, however, for the first time they were sold out! They apologized and explained and offered to give donuts or cookies as a replacement and I took their offer! Totally understand running out and they were very generous and kind with their replacements!
Mark J — Google review
What a cute little shop! The food was delicious, the coffee was perfect and they had a great variety. Get the cherry danish, you won’t regret it. We would absolutely stop by again!
Raven Y — Google review
I always enjoy my visit to DD. The donuts are always good and service excellent. The one negative is they changed the recipe for their glazed donuts several years back and while still good, the old recipe was fantastic! Wish they'd bring it back!
Phillip S — Google review

Anjuli L — Google review
I’ve been going to donut days since I was a little girl. It’s always been the best bakery, but the service is what sets them over the top. The staff celebrate your milestones with you, are kind and genuine. I’ll never have another favorite bakery!

Cakes, donuts, cookies, pies, rolls…..etc Donuts Days has it all! All of the employees here make me feel welcome and are always willing to help. Recently, Suzie has helped me place my orders and has been phenomenal. Whether it is dropping by for a dozen donuts or ordering a custom cake, Donut Days is there for every celebration/event. The quality of the baked goods are unmatched and will keep me coming back for years to come. Thank you Fred and team!
Lindsay S — Google review
This was my first time ordering a cake from Donut Days and I am very impressed. The quality of the cake was incredible, very moist and the smell eliminating from the real strawberry icing - wow. The staff was very friendly and accommodated all of my requests with no problem! I sent in a reference picture and they nailed it. The real reason I'm writing this review though is because of the unbeatable price. They charged me $48 for a three layer, specialty cake (someone else in town quoted me at $110....). Thanks Donut Days!

Save A Lot is a discount supermarket chain that offers brand-name and private-label grocery items at great prices. Customers appreciate the decent selection and the manageable size of the store, which prevents feeling overwhelmed by too many choices. Despite being busy, the store flows nicely with friendly but often short-handed staff. Visitors have praised specific employees for their exceptional customer service skills, making their shopping experience welcoming and pleasant.
Regular save alot . My GPS did not pick up the location of this save alot for some reason. If you are looking for a save alot on Versailles road there is one close to McDonald's. If anyone else has this issue.
Kandiss M — Google review
Just moved to this side of town recently and decided to shop at this save a lot , big mistake, they aren’t checking products for expiration , never have I had to look at the expiration date of a product at Kroger before buying, everything is always well rotated there. Just about everything I bought at this save a lot expired in November. I know I should have checked the dates but it’s not my job to do so, that is the job of your employees. This place is extremely convenient for me to shop at so I hope this won’t be a problem in the future because I would love to continue shopping here. Very upset as I don’t have money as is and wasted what little I had. It’s common knowledge check your products for expiration so people don’t get sick . I already ate some of the products before realizing so I’m upset to say the least. Hope this doesn’t happen again!

T-bones are Mexican beef and very tough. It was worth it when specials were $4.99 lb, but within 4 months they went to $5.99 and now jumped to $6.99. Better to watch for a sale elsewhere for $10.99 lb and treat yourself to a quality T-bone. Note the brand sucarne? Means "your meat" in Spanish.

Deals everywhere. Very clean and well organized shopping area. Don't expect to see fancy foods or extra service. Do expect to get what you need and go home with a few bucks

Josanne’s Homestyle Kitchen is a southern and soul food restaurant located in Lexington, Kentucky. Customers have raved about the delicious chicken tender basket with sides like mac & cheese, french fries, baked beans, and green beans. The menu also features fried catfish, burgers with unique flavors like sweet potato mayo and Buckhorn sauce, as well as classic southern dishes such as greens and cabbage.
I'm so happy I live close to this place. I can always get a little taste of southern bliss here. I've almost explored the whole menu, but I really love their fried catfish and chicken. The sides are tasty. My favorites are the green beans and the cabbage. The baked beans & greens are good too. Last time I went there they were serving spaghetti & it's the real deal. The service is always prompt and despite having to wait a little bit it is ALWAYS worth it.
Aaronius S — Google review
Josanne's has ruined me for any other chicken in Lexington!!! It's ALWAYS fresh, seasoned perfectly and delicious. They've steadily been expanding the menu while still keeping the original options tasting wonderful.
Tameko B — Google review
First visit (never heard of it before today.) It’s very small dine-in, only 15 max seats. Service was a bit disorganized, but the food was TREMENDOUS. Nobody from our party of 6 had any complaints about the food. Good prices, great flavor. Will definitely be back!
Brandon P — Google review
They were busy as busy gets but the food was still incredible and the service was fantastic. I unfortunately witnessed a rude customer come in but the employees handled it so professionally. I will absolutely be back!
Nick B — Google review
This place was great! We both got the chicken tender basket. One with mac & cheese and french fries which the mac & cheese was the best I have ever had including homemade. The other was with baked beans and green beans. I am not a fan of barbecue baked beans but from this place I cleaned my plate. The green beans were also very tasty better than I was expecting. The total did come to be right under $20 which surprised me but I would gladly pay it again for good food. The strawberry cake is also pretty good however I can tell that it is from the box because it is one of my favorite cakes and I make it often, I would expect a little more for a restaurant, and the price tag for a slice. Also the only downside is once ordering I had to wait 20 minutes to get my food and there was only one person ahead of me. None of these down sides would prevent me from going back I am actually looking forward to going back and trying the white fish platter. I am glad we gave it a shot. #staylocal
Kristina R — Google review
I can only comment on the food as I ordered through doordash. But I've got to say the food is damn good. Double cheeseburger was very juicy. Chicken tenders were great. The winner for me was the cabbage. Best I've had in a long time. Definitely will be ordering from here more often.
Kaylee C — Google review
I really loved the food today. I could eat here everyday. I had the chicken fixing green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy . I usually don't eat corn bread but their corn bread was amazing!

I may have reviewed this place before but I just couldn’t help myself from reviewing again! I absolutely LOVE their food 🥰🥰🥰 this time I ordered the fried shrimp meal with fresh greens, coleslaw, hot water cornbread and their church tea and OMG is it delicious! Worth every penny and then some! Definitely have a customer for life here! Thank you for opening this restaurant, you all do an amazing job and always so polite, just overall great experience everytime. Much love ❤️

Old Vine Bistro, located at 400 Old Vine St. 106 Ste 106 in Lexington, Kentucky, offers a quaint and artsy atmosphere with excellent service. The menu is well-known for its beer cheese/pimento cheese app and lobster salad app, while the salmon pesto entree receives high praise. Some patrons have found the chicken kabobs slightly dry/overcooked but overall, the food selection is great. The bistro also offers a good happy hour special on drinks and apps.
Finally tried Old Vine Bistro. Very quaint and artsy atmosphere, good happy hour special on drinks and apps going on when we arrived and the service was excellent overall. The server knew the menu well, made recommendations and was attentive but not overboard. A little mixed reviews on the food: Beer cheese/pimento cheese app and lobster salad app were yummy. Salmon pesto entree was excellent but chicken kabobs were slightly dry/overcooked. One from our party said the salmon he had added to his salad was a little over cooked but was still tasty. All and all though it was a really good experience and we all agreed we would go back again and recommend to friends. There are definitely some other things on their menu I’d love to try.

A very lovely atmosphere, good wine selection. Every employee was friendly and courteous. The food was PHENOMENAL! And a nice touch; the Head Chef came out to our table and spoke with us. I highly recommend you try this gem. You won't be disappointed.

We had a great experience sitting on their new patio and taking in a quiet dinner with views of downtown. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable and brought us 2 space heaters to keep us warm. We enjoyed their happy hour specials with fromage for two, shrimp cocktail and half priced wine and cocktails. It really was a perfect Friday date night

I've come here multiple times already and it's like a hidden gem in Lexington. Tonight, my girlfriends and I tried the mussels and we all agreed it was great! The refill portion can be bigger, but I can understand it can be portion control. Our servers name is Kimberly and she was AMAZING! She certainly helped for us to have an even better evening! They have a great selection of foods, wine and appetizers.

Outstanding and very attentive service! Even better food. My wife and I got the hot brown and it was a unique but delicious twist on a Kentucky classic. Only thing I’m upset about is that it took us so long to discover this gem. We’ll definitely be back.

SUCH a gem! Ate here for the first time today and will absolutely be back. Food is amazing, just LOOK at this chicken&waffle / hot brown hybrid! The staff was incredibly friendly and the chef even came to check on us at the table 10 out of 5 stars!

True southern/comfort food! Had the pork chop and fried chicken-with my daughter. Pork chop was the most tender and flavorful chop I've ever eaten! The Mac n cheese is truly comfort food, the corn was very good and the potato salad was excellent! All very satisfying and filling! Very good portions and reasonable prices. The location is quiet with countryside views. The cooks and staff super friendly and provided great service. I give it 6 ******!
