The italian restaurant Pippo a Vernazza is a great place to go for traditional and street food. The drinks are good and the pesto pasta is delicious. The prices could be lower, but overall this is a fantastic place to eat.
Great place tucked away from the main area in Vernazza! We found it on Google and it was very highly rated. We ordered the pesto pasta and the focaccia with cheese, tomatoes and anchovies! Wow, so delicious! We also got beer, a glass of Rose and a glass of prosecco! The wines were yum. We then got the house made tiramisu. So well made. All in all, a great experience. I would highly recommend it.

Great little place with delicious food. Can definitely recommend the tuna with tomato salad and the sea bream pasta. Portions are generous and well priced. We decided to do a take away and enjoyed our dinner with a view, but there are tables available to sit and enjoy your meal should you choose.
Heleen H — Google review
This was a great smaller restaurant stop along all the walking today. It was very refreshing to find the diversity of food and drink they offered. We ordered the pesto pasta, a pomodoro pasta and a tuna pasta. It was all great and a good price to fill up for the rest of the days walks. They offered a variety of drinks. Staff was amazing.
Tony T — Google review
My family and I stopped by Pippo just after noon and it was a highlight. The pesto pasta was fresh and flavorful, and the focaccia sandwiches were a hit with everyone. It’s a casual setup, but the service was warm and fast, and the food felt like it came straight from someone’s home kitchen. We found a nearby bench and shared bites while soaking in the village vibe. It was simple, satisfying, and full of heart—exactly what we needed after a morning of exploring.
Jonathan P — Google review
The food is under mid and high price for what they offer. I ordered shrimps and the were not cleaned well, also the pasta with sauce is very basic. Also the 5 small shrimps were 7 euros.
Alexandru C — Google review
Pesto pasta and focaccia with shrimp were excellent, service was kind and enthusiastic. Highly recommend any of the sandwiches & coffees. Best cost and value in Vernazza
Kevin W — Google review
Cafe is located away from the main belt. Rather popular. It has won TripAdvisor travelers choice 2024? The pasta is surprisingly nice. I like that it’s cooked al dente.
Bintang K — Google review
The focaccia and the pesto pasta were great!! Wish I could go back to this place.

Ristorante L'Ancora della Tortuga is a charming clifftop venue with a nautical theme and stunning sea views. Nestled in a World War II bunker on the cliffside, this restaurant offers traditional Ligurian cuisine, including homemade pasta dishes and seafood specialties. The seven-course tasting menu is a popular choice, while the spaghettini with anchovies and beef filet with lardo di Colonnata are highly recommended.
Start with the view. We had al fresco seating right at the waters edge (on a cliff, of course). This is how it starts. And then it just gets better. We were a larger group, so we had several of the menu options. Some of us split with others, some just shared. The risotto with prawn was wonderful, and the scallops were amazing. Wines were very good too :) I took a star off the service only because this dining area is up stairs from the restaurant itself. The waitstaff gets a lot of step climbing in running up and down. But there were periods of time where no staff was available if something was needed and they really just need one more person to make it perfect.
Jim E — Google review
We had a tremendous experience there. Sadly it was a Saturday and they didn’t have a place for us on the GORGEOUS terrace, but we found the inside very rustic, clean and charming. Service was excellent, they even had a high chair for our baby (the cleanest we’ve seen on our trip) and the staff was extremely helpful with us. The food itself was also excellent, we had 2 pasta dishes that were among the best we tried on our trip. The nonna’s truffle tagliatelle was quite memorable. Highly recommend, but make sure to have a reservation to get the view as a bonus!!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at L’Ancora della Tortuga in Monterosso al Mare and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our hotel recommended the restaurant, and we are so glad they did. The staff could not have been more professional or accommodating. Our waiter, Filippo, provided truly top-notch service, attentive, kind, and perfectly paced. We asked for a local white wine and the team selected a blend that was one of the best we have ever had. Dinner was outstanding. We followed the staff’s recommendations and started with the foie gras, the best I have ever tasted. I did not know it could be that good. For mains, we enjoyed the evening’s special seafood spaghetti and a pesto risotto with shrimp, both cooked perfectly and bursting with fresh, delicate flavor. They even brought out a dessert with a candle for my wife to blow out, which made the evening even more special. We were also able to meet and thank the chef for the wonderful meal, a generous touch that meant a lot to us. Between the stunning cliffside setting, the impeccable service, the unforgettable food and wine, and the warm hospitality, this was a meal we will be talking about for years. Highly recommend.
Scott M — Google review
We had high expectations for our meal here but in the end was disappointed, especially given the Michelin recommendation. It started well enough with the bread service - they had a popover type bread that was delicious. Asked for sparkling wine by the glass but the first two they were out of. Then tried for three different red wines by the glass and they were out of those too. Ordered pasta with mushrooms and no cheese but it came covered in cheese and had to send it back. When it came back it was buried in butter. My wife’s anchovies and my Ligan fish course were really tasty so that was great. The servers were working their butts off but they had way too many tables to cover per person so a lot of waiting around. An incredible location by the seaside - very romantic. Just didn’t come together - can clearly see the potential - just not their night.
Andrew K — Google review
Amazing location — sadly it was too windy so we had to sit inside, but the outdoor seating overlooking the view must be incredible on a calmer day. We ordered the shrimp risotto, which was outstanding, and the seafood pasta, which was good as well but not as exceptional as the risotto. For dessert we had the chocolate cake, which was delicious. Highly recommend this place!
Ines C — Google review
Beautiful views and great food! Seafood pasta (special) was delicious. Great flavor and freshness from the seafood. The basil cream pesto risotto was one of the best pestos we had in Italy. Unfortunately our night got cut short by a ton of flies flying all over. Hundreds would land on us and the food. It was super annoying. We decided to forgo the second course and leave early. The tables around us did the same. Such a shame our meal was cut short but it was crazy how bad it was. 100% reservation required. Food is pretty expensive since you pay for the view
Pat Z — Google review
The location and restaurant incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, for this restaurant that definitely got motion star two years ago. I understand why they haven’t gotten one since. The front of the house was very disorganized and to me seem like a bunch of teenagers. They really have very little experience and food service. The food was amazing, which is really sad because it just shows you how that less than excellent service can really affect your entire impression of a place no matter how beautiful it is and how good the food is. The owner really needs to invest in some quality in front of our staff and this place could excel.
Jeremy B — Google review
A wonderful discovery in Monterosso! The most beautiful view of the village — and the food is absolutely fantastic. Everything was delicious: amazing fresh raw fish, seafood, pasta with porcini mushrooms, duck, and cheesecake. Highly recommended!

Il Gattaccio - Acciugheria & Street Food is a hidden gem that offers delicious street food, including fresh oysters, octopus panini, trofie al pesto, and focaccia sandwiches. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The chef takes great care in preparing the dishes and even introduced guests to his boss who owns a nearby seafood shop. Visitors have enjoyed intimate dining experiences with fresh seafood and personalized meals for children.
The BEST seafood we had in Vernanzza. Don't judge it by its small size. The raw fish platter was very fresh and the tuna tartare was excellent. The pasta of the day was also so so good. The price is a bit high but the food was really worth it. Can't complain about the food. The only negative is they only allow seating of max 3 people on each table and we arrive in 4. The wait was quite long and we had to split to 2 and 2 tables. But the staff was kind enough to help us accommodate. Suggest to make reservations or go early to book que.
Bow W — Google review
Great place. The only complaint I have is that it’s too small, so expect long waits. A small tip I have is that the staff should make a habit of asking “dine-in or take-out” to the people waiting out front. I got the mixed fried fish, tasted great! The sweet potatoes were a nice touch. My friend got the seafood pasta and loved it too. We tried to go again the next night but it was full.
Hansheng C — Google review
Very small cozy restaurant not too far from the beach side of Vernazza. We waited a bit as the sitting was limited but not long. Service is fine, nothing extra. I ordered the mixed seafood pasta which i was doubtful of at first glance but oh my god, for me, that was the most amazing seafood pasta Ive had in my life. I'm so happy I decided to eat here cause I did trust the Google rating.
Kat ( — Google review
Cozy little restaurant. Food was excellent. They have a fixed menu and a daily menu depending on the catch of the day. Regardless, seafood is so fresh and good price. We got the seafood pasta from the fixed menu and the octopus stew from the daily menu. Waitress was also very professional although she works alone with preparing bread, serving the dishes, taking orders, so it may some time before she gets to you. However, she does take the time to explain fully how the different menus work and what the catch of the day is, so it takes a bit of time. Highly recommend
Zhou C — Google review
This is quite literally a tiny hole in the wall but it was definitely worth the wait! You can’t make dinner reservations and they were full when we got there, so we ended up purchasing a bottle of wine and enjoyed it on the sidewalk while we waited. We and made friends with the other folks inline for a table and the time flew by! For dinner the three of us share the stuffed and the lemon Anchovies (a salty highlight of the meal for me!), the seafood risotto, the dark blue carb pasta and the mixed fried seafood basket. The vibes and food were both on point!
Kate M — Google review
After a week in Italy this is the best food we've had so far. Service is great with knowledgeable staff who care about their product. We had the anchovies platter, raw tuna, oysters, and a couple of shrimp. All of it was fantastic. The lemon soda was great too!
Gareth H — Google review
Instead of the typical pasta and pizza adventure, you should give this proper seafood restaurant a try. While it does not offer a lot of seatings, and waiting time can be quite long, it compensates with the best seafood I've ever tasted in Italy. I can say they use very fresh seafood indeed. However the only negative is that they mix up the order despite only have 5 or 6 tables...
Lee L — Google review
Such a cute little restaurant with great service and amazingly fresh seafood. Our young kid had fish and chips but with anchovies, and we didn't tell him what kind of fish it was and he LOVED it. The seafood risotto for 2 was excellent. Terrific flavour and fresh as could be. Seating is very limited. It's a small place. But for 1 or 2 people it's great if you can grab a spot.

Seafood restaurant
Ristorante La Torre is a charming restaurant located on a cliff overlooking the stunning Ligurian coast. It offers classic pasta and seafood dishes paired with regional wines, providing an authentic dining experience without the tourist crowds. The restaurant prides itself on serving fresh fish of the day, homemade pasta, and delectable desserts.
Worth the climb! It's a difficult walk and the signs in town are a lie it's more then 6 minutes of hiking but otherwise amazing. Beautiful location especially at sunset with a view of vernezza. Delicious food and wonderful wait staff. The cheeses are excellent and everything is handmade and delicious. Highly recommend
Jackson D — Google review
We visited Restaurant La Torre twice during our 2-night stay in Vernazza, and it was fantastic both times. The food was excellent—we tried different main courses and desserts, and everything was delicious. The location is stunning, perched on a hill with panoramic views of the town and sea. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended, and we’d love to return someday!

We had a fantastic evening together! We started by sharing a mixed seafood antipasto, which was delicious. I then had the lobster pasta – the flavor was absolutely amazing! – while my husband chose the grilled octopus. The only small remark is that the portions were so tasty we wished there had been just a little more (his octopus came with only three legs; with it being a secondi, four or five would have been perfect). Still, everything was cooked beautifully, and the view over Vernazza was simply breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit, even with the short hike up!
Sanna D — Google review
This place was recommended by our Airbnb host, and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset on our walk to the restaurant and caught the last of it right from our table. I had the Trofie al Pesto con Patate e Fagiolini, which was bursting with flavor, while my boyfriend had one of their fish pastas in marinara sauce, good, though it felt like it was missing a little something. The oysters here were our absolute favorite out of all the places we’ve tried! Must try the cinque terre white wine that's in my pictures! Best white wine I've had! Do note that the climb to the restaurant is quite steep and not accessible for those in wheelchairs, as there are many stairs leading up. The walk up might make you sweat a little, but the views, food, and atmosphere make it totally worth it. Highly recommend checking this spot out!
J — Google review
This is an amazing place. It’s a hidden gym. You find it when you start hiking from Vernazza towards Corneglia. The atmosphere is amazing with beautiful view to the sunset. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. Food tastes excellent. I think they deserve a Michelin star.
Ihab B — Google review
I’ll definitely come back here again! I can’t forget the food, the vibe, the breeze—everything.👍 I tried the “Polpo,” and I still can’t forget the taste. The octopus was tender, and I think the sauce was made with lemon. It was amazing—I almost licked the plate clean 😍 The staff was also great. They worked quickly, so I didn’t have to wait long, which is rare in Italy where waiting at restaurants is usually unavoidable.😂
Jung P — Google review
Went after hiking from Corniglia This restaurant had Beautiful views and great food But the service was Not Friendly at all. They were not busy maybe only 5-6 tables full and you couldn’t get anyone to help you or wait on you once you were seated. Octopus was perfectly done, nice job to the chef! Fried seafood mix was also delicious!
Kimberly H — Google review
This place was pretty cool. It was a neat hike up the mountain, not too terribly hard but will make you a little out of breath. Only like 10 minutes uphill and lots of steps. Gave a good view point though. The restaurant has great view of the ocean and if you’re lucky over the town as well. This was a small complaint of ours though as there were open tables with really great views they didn’t seat the whole time we were there even with our reservation. These saw the town and ocean while we couldn’t see the town where we were. Still beautiful though. We ordered the baked fish and the lobster pasta. Both were good but not amazing. The baked fish was flounder and the waitress deboned it table side which was cool. It was very tender and great but lacked flavor. After deboning it was just unseasoned fillets of flounder. The lobster pasta was good but most of the lobster shells were heads or empty so it ended up not being too much meat. For dessert the cornucopia and it was one of the best desserts we had in Italy. So good. Again these were good but not overly great. No reservation is needed when we went in end of May. Quite a few open tables. Overall a good experience with the location.

Nessun Dorma is a charming restaurant located in Manarola, offering a stunning view of the village and the Ligurian Sea from its terrace. While it's not a fine dining establishment, the food is simple yet delicious, featuring fresh local ingredients. The menu doesn't include pizza or pasta, but guests can enjoy delightful options like Tri Colori bruschetta, which is highly recommended by many visitors.
We attended the last 5 pm pesto cooking class of the season. We had a blast! So educational, entertaining with music & dancing along with a spectacular view. The pesto & charcuterie were excellent. Plenty of wine provided with one to take home along with an apron. Great value for your money. Best activity in Cinque Terre.
Terry C — Google review
The pesto cooking class was great! Very informative, authentic, and fun. Also, felt like it was worth the price with all the ingredients, food, wine, and goodies we left with. The view was also amazing of course. We also reserved the class the night before and that was easy to do. Hope they get to continue the business!
Dalena N — Google review
The pesto class was one of the most engaging and fun experiences I’ve had on the Italian coast line. The host and staff were great fun and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The food and drink served alongside the pesto was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cinque Terra. :)
Fin H — Google review
The Nessun Dorma pesto-making class is far more than a culinary lesson—it's an essential Cinque Terre celebration. Perched high above the stunning Ligurian coastline, the views alone are half the experience, providing a truly breathtaking backdrop as you work. But the true magic is the atmosphere created by our phenomenal host, Simone. He is instantly personable, fun, and infectious, transforming the simple act of grinding basil into a vibrant party. We didn't just mix ingredients; we danced, drank, sang, and laughed—turning a simple class into one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. Simone's undeniable passion for his craft and his region infuses every moment with genuine warmth. This is the very definition of la dolce vita, an authentic, joyous cultural immersion. If you seek an experience that delivers impeccable local food, spectacular natural beauty, and an unforgettable celebration led by an amazing host, you must book this class. Nessun Dorma is a precious, vibrant gem that fully embodies the spirit of the Cinque Terre and deserves to be supported and cherished for years to come.

I recently attended the Pesto Class & it far exceeded my expectations. It was educational & so much fun with singing & dancing & the views were absolutely stunning. The food, wine, service & atmosphere were amazing. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. A must do if you’re in Cinque Terre

An absolutely wonderful experience making Pesto at Nessun Dorma! Simon, the owner and one who lead the class was full of energy and passionate about what he does. Everyone in the class was singing and dancing as they were making t their pesto. The wine and cocktails are incredible as well and from the class we had the most beautiful view of Manarola. This class is a MUST if you are in the CT area.

Our pesto experience at Nessun Dorma was absolutely unforgettable! The setting is stunning — perched above the colorful village of Manarola with breathtaking views of the sea and cliffs. Learning to make authentic Ligurian pesto in such a beautiful spot was so much fun, and the team made the whole experience relaxed, informative, and full of laughter. We loved getting hands-on with fresh local ingredients and, of course, enjoying the delicious results with a glass of wine while taking in that incredible view. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Cinque Terre — highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!
Debbie W — Google review
I signed up for the morning pesto class and wow, this was such an incredible time. The class comes with the delicious pesto you make, an apron to take home, a bottle of wine and food to pair with your pesto once it’s made. I never take cooking classes while traveling but something told me I should try this and I’m so glad I did. It would be a shame if the city does not allow them to renew their contract next year.

Belforte is a renowned restaurant in Vernazza, one of the picturesque Cinque Terre villages. Nestled among vineyards and olive groves, this traditional Ligurian restaurant has been serving delectable seafood and locally grown vegetable dishes for over 50 years. Perched on the cliffs with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea, Belforte offers an unforgettable dining experience.
I think this was the best food we’ve had on the trip! Waiter was so funny and personable, and his suggestions were fantastic. Super cautious for allergens too, we felt very safe. And the view was unbeatable!

We did not have a reservation during the dinner rush and in just a few minutes we had a table on the upper level with the most magical view. The mussles, the pesto pasta, and the whole fish with potatoes was one of my favorite meals of all time! The service was responsive ans not pushy. They were very polite and supportive as well!

Five of us ate here yesterday on October 2, 2025. I made the reservation the day before on their website and I got an email identifying that a deposit of €15 per person was required before it could be confirmed. It also said that a separate email would be sent along with a bill so that I could pay the deposit. Unfortunately, I never got that billing email, but I had hoped that the reservation was still in place because the reservation was made on such short notice. As you may have guessed already, when we got there they did not have a table reserved for us. I showed them the email I received with all of the details listed, but she told me that it was simply a request and that it was not a real confirmation until the deposit was made. I told her that I never got an email asking for the deposit and she just shrugged and told me that she would see what she could do. Thankfully, they managed to get us a table with a nice view, so I am only providing this information as a caution to others to ensure that they reach out to them if the billing email never arrives. Please know that this deposit is only required for groups larger than four people. In order to get to the restaurant you have to climb a steep set of stairs that should not be too difficult unless you have mobility issues. The service and views are wonderful, and the food was good, but not great. It is also a bit more expensive than other restaurants in Italy for what you get, but I think that it is inherent when dining in such a tourist area. As an example, we got a Bruschette starter and it has three fairly large pieces of bruschette and I believe the price was €18. All of the seating is outside and has some sort of view of the water or harbor. They do have an indoor dining area, but it does not look like they seat people there as there is zero view of the sea. Overall, it was a good experience and I would say it is worth the visit!
Christopher S — Google review
Perfect. Not a tourist trap. You may fear that, given the perfect location. It is a fine restaurant. Delicious food. Great wine. Charming service. The location and view are spectacular. Take the standard staircase with steps up. Not the ramp. Once up at the dining level, you then walk around and then down one flight to a meaningfully sized interior room. This is where you will find the host with the reservation list. Reservations are highly recommended and they are only taken over the phone. If you don’t speak Italian, you can rehearse a simple script ahead of time. I spelled it out phonetically. Easy. If you are lucky, you will get Andrea as your waiter. He is extremely knowledgable and charming. We were given a very special table. We enjoyed a leisurely two hour lunch of three courses with an amazing view and cooling breezes. Highly recommended.
James B — Google review
A fantastic restaurant, and probably the best we dined at during our trip to Italy. The food was fantastic, the wines were very good (I recommend trying the local Cinque Terre wine), and the staff were brilliant and could not do enough for us. I highly recommend sitting outside, if the weather permits - the view over Vernazza's harbour is second to none. Note that I'd recommend booking in advance, and a 15-EUR pp deposit is required for this, but it's worth it without a doubt.
David K — Google review
I had the warm seafood salad as a starter and the tuna with grilled vegetables for the main course. For dessert, I chose tiramisu – and it was absolutely the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tasted many tiramisus around the world. We enjoyed both the house white and red wines, and they were a perfect match for the meal. The whole experience was exquisite – from the flavors to the atmosphere. Definitely book a table in advance if you want to discover tastes you’ve never experienced before.

Nestled in the charming upper part of Vernazza, Il Pirata delle Cinque Terre is a delightful eatery run by the lively Sicilian twins, Massimo and Gianluca. However, it’s their mouthwatering selection of authentic Sicilian pastries that truly steals the show.
My husband and I ate breakfast here multiple times. We had eggs with ham and roasted pork (delicious!), large cappuccino, and amazing pastries! The staff was joyful, helpful and friendly. Certainly the most welcoming place we visited in Cinque Terre. Price was great too.

Best food and peaceful location! A few steps after the train station, away from the crazy tourist crowds in Vernazza you will find an amazing spot for breakfast, snacks or a special sweet treat! These Granitas were an absolute hit with real ingredients and fresh fruits, no added flavours - we could have eaten dozens of them! The people were also extremely warm and welcoming, very fair prices! A definite must when in Vernazza!!

Chef Max was welcoming and knowledgeable. They make scrambled eggs to order with many options for additions. They are very accommodating to what you want unlike many other places. I highly recommended the croissant with mortadella and mozzarella as well!

Pick and choose pasta &sauce. I got ravioli and walnut cream sauce. Wonderful and fresh, with great filling. Having read the reviews about the panna cotta and because the strawberries ordered by the next table (in a cannoli) looked ripe and juicy, I had to try it. It was drizzled with chocolate and scattered with tiny chocolate chips. Lovely combination. Just as a personal note, I would love to just have the chocolate sauce, the crunchy chips distracted from the silky texture but that doesn’t make it less delicious

Great location! Just steps from the train station, with convenient parking if you’re driving. It’s a bit of a walk away from the center, but totally worth it — the staff are super friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable for the area.

One of our favourite places we found on our tour of Italy. Unmatched customer service and amazing food. We went back the next day too. I wish it was open later! We really hope we get to visit again, this is the top of the list to come back to. If you're in 5 terre, definitely stop here If you can't decide what to have, ask for whatever they recommend

Nestled in a tranquil alley within Monterosso's historic center, Da Eraldo is a charming trattoria renowned for its delectable Cinque Terre cuisine. The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and affordable prices, with an array of freshly prepared seafood dishes, traditional pasta like the must-try ravioli with prawns, and an assortment of wines. Guests can also indulge in quick bites such as fresh charcuterie boards served with oven-fresh bread.
I found this small Italian restaurant while exploring Monterosso, and it was a true gem. The seafood pasta was incredibly fresh - easily one of the best I’ve had. I also tried the ravioli, and it was equally impressive. Delicate, flavorful, and clearly made with love, the kind of dish that reminds you why Italian cuisine is so beloved. If you’re visiting Monterosso, don’t miss this place. It’s the kind of meal that lingers in your memory long after the trip ends.

Our last dinner in Monterosso, we opted for Da Eraldo in town. The great reviews got us excited but we were quite disappointed, as the food we ordered left a lot to be desired. The pasta was severely overcooked, becoming a thick, mushy glob smothered with a flavourless sauce. We also ordered the swordfish and the grilled octopus, both were cooked well but nothing to write home about. Portions are massive and I will say the value here is pretty great. We ordered far too much food, enough to feed four possibly and it was less than €65. We expected simple, minimal plating, but were overwhelmed with large plates with grilled vegetables, a mountain of potatoes and other accoutrement. Service was fine, food came out very quick, within 10 minutes probably. Our server did not check on us after dropping the food, and just stood behind us at the doorway for most of our meal. Sitting outside was nice, getting to see the town in the evening. Although the gentleman who lives in the building (his entrance door is directly in between the two patios) was quite the nuisance. He opened his door to show off his cats to anyone passing by and gloating about trying to “bring beautiful women into his home”. Not particularly great ambience. Maybe it was the dishes we ordered or maybe just not our dining style, but we were overall not impressed.

Nice place in a good location. We had a reservation and was seated immediately. We shared an order of fettuccine carbonara which was ok ...a little too salty for me. I had the grilled prawns but they was tiny and only 4 to a serving. She had the baked seafood which was huge and everything was cooked perfectly. The desserts were good not amazing but doable. The service was great and polite. The price was reasonable for the area.

The best lunch in Monterosso!! The seafood soup and seafood bake was delicious, beautiful, and enough to share. The pesto pasta was also very good. Friendly service and cute place. Definitely made my visit to this town very memorable!!

We started out with the Fantasia Del Mar antipasto. It was wonderful with a mix variety of raw and smoked fish. We ordered the lasagna bolognese which was mushy. You couldn’t tell the difference between the noodle and the ricotta but it tasted good. I thought the Italians invented al dente. Also ordered one of the steak meals. Steak was like beef jerky. Had a hard time cutting into it. The local cat seemed to enjoy the piece I threw to it however.

We had a fabulous dinner at this magnificent restaurant! It has a quaint setting. The servings were huge, and the food was fresh and delicious. We had wine made in this area that was wonderful. I had a steak and it was delicious with grilled vegetables and potatoes. Cooked to perfection. The other two people in my party had seafood and absolutely loved it! The service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant!

One of the best Aperol Spritz in Italy and the most delicious parppardelle al pesto! The bread that comes out as soon as you sit down is also so delicious. Will definitely be returning on my next trip to Monterosso!

Cozy and pleasant atmosphere. kind service. Delicious food. I recommend the dessert 3:1( it called differently on the menu), the opportunity to taste small versions of 3 different desserts. Panacotta with lemon sauce was excellent. We didn't reserve a table, we were lucky to get a table right away. While we were having dinner, a line formed outside with an hour-long wait time. So it's popular place and apparently for a reason.

The La Cantina Di Miky is a casual Italian restaurant that overlooks the beach in Cinque Terre. The Defina family runs the restaurant and it has a youthful, personal feel. The wife had the Pesto Lasagna and she said it was fantastic - exactly what she was looking for. Service was good but not great, especially given how busy it was. The staff were knowledgeable about Ligurian wines.
This place is a MUST if you are in Montorosso. The outside patio view is beautiful but the inside is just as vibrant and the fun chic atmosphere is fantastic. Christina was our waiter and she was amazing! I also believe she is part owner since this is a family restaurant and affiliated with their michelin star rated restaurant down the street. The food was probably the best i have ever had at an establishment. The tasting menu is fun, unique, more than just one little bite so it is very filling and definitely worth trying. You need a reservation so be sure to make that. We had our 1 yr old and 4 yr old with us and they had a high chair, cup, bib, and dinner wear for her which was so thoughtful. They also made sure to get their orders first thing (half order of plain butter and red sauce pasta) and they came out so quickly which i really appreciated. All this to say please please don’t pass this place up when you visit here!

Nice view, decent place, very nice service. The food for the meal, though very good and tasty was a very small portion, especially after hiking the whole day. I'd recommend taking atleast 2 meal on the menu (outside dessert). Now... let's talk about dessert, tldr it was awful. I was expecting to finish dinner on a good note but the dessert was very tiny and not tasty at all. Felt like eating air, nothing sophisticated in it, worst dessert ever actually. 45 each for meal+dessert

Perfect spot in Monterosso, we stopped by for wine and desserts but we saw the rest of the tables servings of mains, they looked so good. Its unfortunate that we did not get to try but basing on their quality of desserts and good service, im sure their food is to die for. The service staffs are fun and helpful too! They were having some troubles with some patrons but handled it with a smile and alot of patience.

2 words…. THE BEST! We went 2 days in a row because the food was incredible. The waiter is such a nice guy and he’s not a waiter that puts on a fake smile and try to be nice he was from himself a very polite, kind and respectful person. I ordered “pasta pesto” and it was so delicious! Wine I ordered local white wine, it was 9/10. The day after local rosé wine and it was 10/10 With everything it’s a 10/10

The server Stephen(not sure if that’s how your spell) was fantastic! He was very friendly and conversational. This was our first dinner in Cinque Terre without a reservation at 4pm and it did not disappoint. The pesto pasta, anchovy tasting, and creme brûlée was delicious 😋 Also- my fiancé was in love with their Americano, that he ordered twice!

We went to Cantina di Miky twice over two days in Monterosso, and it (along with Radici, also by owner Miky) were our favorite restaurants in Monterosso! The food is fabulous — after endless pasta & pizza in Italy, their salad was a delicious & necessary injection of some vegetables in our diet, and their special blue crab sauce with homemade pasta, calamari & fusilli with ragú were INCREDIBLE. Their Aperol Spritzes were also way better than any other we’ve had in Italy. Anything you order at this place will be outstanding. But the best part about La Cantina di Miky is the service — the wait staff make the experience. They were the reason we came back and will remember this place long after our honeymoon ends. Steve has the BEST energy and attitude! You’ll love your meal there - get a table by the water, and enjoy enjoy!

Beautiful waterfront restaurant with delicious food, great service with a detailed explanation of every item ordered and also wonderful humour, and a wide selection of items. We tried the anchovy sampler (i love anchovies!) and it was delicious. Make a reservation because it can get busy. It is affiliated with their Michelin rated restaurant down the street.
Justin C — Google review
We turned up for lunch without a reservation but thankfully were offered a table. Indoor tables are in the basement so if that bugs you, make a reservation! As people that love anchovies this was absolutely one of the best meals of our trip. The anchovies in the various preparations ranged from traditional to completely new to us; the anchovy stuffed with mortadella was really memorable. The pesto was really different from what we had at other places; lighter, with a cleaner basil flavour. Different but still very good. Personally I liked it more than stronger flavoured pesto we had along the coast. We also thoroughly enjoyed the other pasta we ordered which featured tomatoes, olives, anchovies, and pine nuts. Very umami, not too salty, and very appetising. I'd come back to Monterosso just to dine here.

Nestled in the heart of Monterosso, Gastronomia San Martino is a charming little eatery that perfectly captures the essence of Italian culinary delights. This historic spot is ideal for those seeking a quick yet satisfying meal, especially after exploring the picturesque village. Known for its delectable seafood dishes and the iconic trofie al pesto from Genoa, it offers an authentic taste of local flavors at wallet-friendly prices.
I highly recommend you this place. I ate pasta with seafood and it was really flavourful, there were a plenty of various seafood. Trofie al pesto was also great. Ravioli with ragu was good, but it was nothing outstanding. It was a little bit too dry for me. Prices are very reasonable, which is rare in this area. You have to prepare for a queue. I came here right after the opening and I had to wait for the table.
Adrianna C — Google review
Went in the middle of lunch rush so we had to wait. Place is popular. My dish was the anchovies with Linguini...was a little on the salty side (olives, garlic and anchovies itself have high salt content) but sauce and pasta was good. Would skip the mixed seafood plate, spaghetti with clams and mussels was good. Pro tip: clean, modern WC. Paid 77 euros for party of 4, no wine.
Eddie B — Google review
This small restaurant was a great find thanks to Google reviews. It's clearly very good and highly rated as it was the only restaurant in the area to still have a queue for a table at 9:00 p.m. I highly recommend booking as we had no wait for our table. The food was delicious. The homemade bread outstanding. The vegetable platter, the seafood soup and the stuffed anchovies were amazing. They were easily able to accommodate gluten-free and there were plenty of vegetarian options if you required. The waitress we had on the night was outstanding. She was particularly good at listening to our wine style preferences then making local recommendations. She was spot on every time, incredibly friendly and very efficient.

We tried the vegetarian dishes - lasagna with pesto and trofi with pesto. Both of them were delicious. The location is quiet and beautiful. The toilet is clean. We got a seat immediately, but there might be a bit of a wait. It is worth it!

Lovely little restaurant in the old city center. Great food for a good price. The swordfish was excellent. You can not reserve tables so be prepared to wait a couple of minutes before something frees up (or come early).

Saw Google reviews and had to try the seafood spaghetti. It was excellent! If coming here for dinner, be sure to get here right as they open as we got the last table and saw so many people who had to turn around and find another place or choose to eat inside. Reasonable prices.

Visited this cozy Lingurian restaurant stone's throw away from the Monterosso train station. It is a highly rated, family run establishment and they did not disappoint. Do note that they only serve main course and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We went there around 6:30pm for dinner as a party of four. We each had a main course - trofie al pesto (trofie is a handmade twisted shaped pasta), mixed seafood spaghetti, linguine with fresh anchovies and linguine with swordfish (that is perfect shredded into small bite sized pieces). Our server was friendly and gladly assisted us to a crisp, fruity, semi dry white wine bottle from the region of Cinque Terre, which was the perfect combination with each of our dishes. One bottle served each of us around 1.5 glass of white wine. Definitely a must-visit for fresh seafood in Cinque Terre, and the prices are surprisingly quite affordable. The busy hours are generally between 6pm to 8pm, so be prepared to wait for a while until you get seated. We preferred the outdoor seating as the weather was pleasant.

Il Gambero Rosso Vernazza offers a blend of traditional Ligurian cuisine and modern cooking in a charming setting. The restaurant features a rustic interior reminiscent of old Ligurian homes and a waterfront terrace with views of the harbor. The menu includes original seafood dishes such as seafood spaghetti, grilled fish, and local mussels and anchovies appetizers. Guests can also enjoy homemade cakes and fresh fruit for dessert, paired with local wines.
This place was fantastic. It is super busy and right near the waterfront. At the time, they only had 2 servers working out of 5 but still did an exceptional job. I had the lobster pasta and my husband had pasta in walnut cream sauce, both were delicious.
Jennifer M — Google review
Located at the heart of Vernazza, the courtyard of the restaurant directly overlooks the Vernazza central plaza and the sea. A great location, especially for night time when the sun is setting. The food came pretty quickly after ordering. The spaghetti was rather undercooked, but the fish in Gambero Rosso style was pretty good. The service was OK. Note that this restaurant charges EUR 4 per person when dining in, called "cover charge". Not an omission by the restaurant, I missed reading it at the bottom of one of the last pages, but it's my first time encountering this type of charge. Overall, a okay type of restaurant. The prices are pretty high, not due to food quality but for tbe location. I do believe the restaurants are better a bit further north in Vernazza.
Nadun W — Google review
The pesto here rivals Belforte's famous pesto (I prefer Gambero Rosso's myself) and the location is unbeatable. Eat outside for a great view of the port. This restaurant is a must each time I visit Vernazza.

The octopus potato salad is surprisingly good. The weather was really hot and nowhere offered any air conditioning there, we stayed at the outdoor area at least we can hide from the sun.

Great place for lunch in this very crowded CinqueTerre town of Vernazza. The food was delicious, fresh mussels, trofie pasta with pesto sauce and fried anchovies in tomato sauce.
Eleanor C — Google review
Gambero Rosso in Vernazza might have the location, but everything else falls apart fast. The staff barely acknowledge guests, offering no welcome and no warmth. The seafood was passable except for the shrimp. Then came the risotto. It was not just undercooked, it was an insult. Hard, white, chalky grains that crunched between your teeth. Not al dente, not close. It was raw. When we politely questioned it, we were told, without hesitation or care, “this is how it should be.” That statement alone disqualifies them from serving risotto at all. And then it got worse. Instead of starting fresh, they threw the entire dish-sauce, seafood, and all-into an oven in a sad attempt to recover it. The rice remained raw, the seafood turned rubbery, and the sauce reduced into something nearly inedible from salt and overcooking. Here is a photo of the risotto after the third attempt. Still raw. You can clearly see the white core, uncooked seed inside the grain. This was not a mistake in execution. It was a complete lack of understanding, pride, and respect for Italian cuisine. In Italy, no less. Gambero Rosso should not serve risotto until they learn how to cook rice.

We had a fabulous meal here on our first night. Our table was right up against the beach. The service was great. We had shrimp, gluten-free pasta, fish, and a delicious lemon sorbet.

We went to Vernazza on a rainy day and in order to get out the rain, we just picked this place because it was right by the ferry. We ended up having a lovely meal here. Da Aristide is a contemporary all-day restaurant in Cinque Terre with a focus on seafood. It has a nice ambiance with nautical accents and outdoor tables, although some find the lighting too bright for an evening setting. The restaurant is slightly hidden from the main street, giving it an off-the-beaten-path feel. It offers heaped plates of stuffed anchovies, lemon-doused grilled octopus, fish ravioli, and homemade pappardelle with mussels and eggplant.
If you’re looking for a true taste of Ligurian seafood perfection, @aristidemanarola delivers an experience that’s nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish sings with fresh, vibrant flavors, showcasing the region’s culinary brilliance. We indulged in the Taglioni Verdi Alla Borragine Con Orata, Timo e Limone—delicate green tagliolini pasta infused with borage, paired beautifully with sea bream, thyme, and lemon. The Tagliata di Tonno in Crosta di Sesamo con Cipolle Rosse Caramellate was another standout—a seared tuna fillet, enveloped in a sesame crust and topped with luscious caramelized red onions. 🍽️ And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the beautifully decorated desserts arrived—an absolute feast for the eyes and the palate. Every bite reflected careful craftsmanship and a love for quality ingredients. 💕 An unforgettable dining experience that captures the essence of Liguria in every dish. Highly recommended!

The worse food I had in Italy. All my expectation went to disappointment in Manarola Cinque Terre, we were here for just 2 days 1 night and expect to have a good seafood dinner to end the trip. Unfortunately the food didn’t made my day 😢 the mussels meat are small, the stuffed mussels taste like eating meatballs rather than mussels and it’s very salty, the seafood spaghetti taste is bland and it is like they threw everything in a pot and cook, that’s it. The only dish that is ok is the fish with some vegetables. We were sitting in the center of a square where there were artist performance, that helps to hype me up a bit at least.

Positives: good atmosphere and we were seated without a reservation. Our group of 4 ordered multiple dishes which we all good, but nothing spectacular. Our server cut the grilled fish for us which was a cool plus. Dessert was tasty as well. Negatives: Our dinner meals were staggered by 5-10 minutes per person which was kind of awkward and made it tough to enjoy together. (Pasta meals came fast since they were most likely pre-prepared). All of the dishes were served without garnish which made the large plates look bare and less appealing. Overall, I recommend for you to try this restaurant. Except longer wait times and plan your evening accordingly. 👍🏻
David K — Google review
I recently tried the octopus dish, and it was overwhelmingly spicy - almost to the point of being inedible. While I appreciate a good kick, this was just too much. On a more positive note, the mussels were cooked well and flavorful, but the portion size was laughably small. Given the price, I expected a more generous serving. Perhaps a balance between spice level and portion size would elevate these dishes. For now, I'd recommend approaching with caution. Also 7 euro coperto tax is way too much
Ramona I — Google review
We grabbed a late lunch inside the restaurant and there was only 2 other tables being served. Ordered the penne con scampi. For 20 euros the food is simply not worth it as the dish was 95% pasta and sauce, there was only 3 shrimps (with barely any meat in it too). The service and the house wine was okay. Overpriced and poorly portioned unfortunately so would avoid and spent the money elsewhere I'm afraid!

Ok people. I’m pretty sure this is my first ever Google review. My family and I were only staying in Cinque Terre for two days, and trust me we had a lot of restaurants to choose from. We chose this restaurant because of the atmosphere, proximity to the water, and their expansive menu that included some non fish options for the weirdos in my family who won’t eat fish even though we are in a coastal town. The service was beyond amazing. I was able to try to practice my Italian with the waiter being very patient, accommodating, and helpful. We ordered wine once and our glasses were never empty. He could tell I wasn’t the happiest with my soup (I could have sworn I ordered clam soup and not vegetable soup, vongole vs verdura so decently similar) so he took it even though I said not to worry about it, told me to wait a minute, and brought me out a full plate of spaghetti with clams. It was amazing and he showed me the best way to eat it (no cheese, with a spoon to spin the spaghetti). He continued joking with us and taking care of us the rest of the night. We were also surprised by the bill being as low of a price as it was - the soup was not on the bill. The most magical part though, I asked if they were selling the sweatshirts the staff was all wearing because I loved the logo, and while they weren’t, this man gave me the sweatshirt OFF OF HIS BACK to have. We tried to pay for it, insisted he keep it, and he refused. This was the best Italian hospitality I ever experienced. It felt like home, very familiar to me because of how was raised in an Italian American family, and I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits.
Alexandria P — Google review
Had an evening dinner here without a reservation. Place was busy but not packed. Service was good but not very friendly. The seafood spaghetti for two was an ample and tasty dish. The house wine was light and fresh. No one asked if we wanted anything else after mains. Just ignored for about 20 minutes. Will be in no rush back.
Des M — Google review
I was really looking forward to trying the pasta alla vongole, but I was quite disappointed with how few clams came with the dish. The flavour itself was alright, but the portion of clams compared to the pasta was surprisingly small, especially compared to similar dishes I’ve had across Italy. My wife ordered the scampi with penne, which came with just three scampi shells and barely any meat inside. It honestly felt more like decoration than part of the meal... I completely understand that prices are higher in a touristic area and that the seafood is meant to be fresh, but when the portions are small and the seafood content is minimal, it’s hard to justify the value. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations.
吳遠廷 — Google review
Busy spot right on the edge of the sea. Great service, the waiter saw my kids shivering after swimming and gave them each a jumper to get warm. Food is simple, honest and fresh. Yes at tourist prices but that is the area that you are in. Definitely recommend this place!

The bar also hosts wine tasting sessions for visitors to experience the fruits of labor from the Cinque Terre region. Very good. Nice size portions, reasonable prices, lots of options. Special thanks to Gioia who seemed to be serving every table during the lunch time rush and yet took the time to explain the wines, chat, generally be charming and lovely.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Enoteca Internazionale in Monterosso al Mare was truly unpleasant. We were excited to enjoy a glass of wine and some local food, but the owner and staff were shockingly rude. We politely asked for a table and were told no without any explanation, even though several tables were visibly free. The dismissive attitude and lack of basic hospitality were disappointing, especially in a place known for warm Italian welcomes. I would not recommend this establishment — there are plenty of other wonderful spots in Monterosso with great service and atmosphere.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Enoteca Internazionale. Amazing selection of wines - bought some y the glass and also got a white wine flight. Loved their bruschetta - tomatoes and anchovies was my favourite. I can see why reviews are somewhat mixed. Some waiters are amazing. Some - not so much. We walked up to the place around 12:05. It was open. A male waiter said “service will start in 30 minutes”. We were about to walk away. A female waiter came out and asked if we wanted a table and sat us down straight away. She (Gioia) and another female waitress were lovely. I guess we were lucky we didn’t get the male waiter. Lovely ambiance. Very much what we were after in Monterosso.

We booked the 5 wine tasting with food for each wine. Our host Susy was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The experience was informative, unhurried and extremely enjoyable. We were given an interesting history of the wine growing of the area and how this ties in with the wines we tasted. Food that was served with each wine was very tasty, some slightly unusual but all good quality and well presented. Lovely ambience to the venue. Very good value for money. A highly enjoyable 2-3hours. Would highly recommend.

My dad got a beer here while I did a tasting flight of 5 wines (white/red/dessert). We are from Sonoma County, so the wines were sub-par. They did give healthy pours for the tasting which was nice. The dessert wine was delicious and we got two bottles to take home. This is their most expensive wine, as I imagine that the majority of what they sell. We got another wine to take back to our AirBnB and ended up pouring it down the drain. The beer my dad drank was okay. The charcuterie and cheese was delicious. We would recommend dining here for their charcuterie and sipping on their dessert wine. We were sat down rather quickly but the service was slow. The waitress was very friendly, but took a long time to help us (as she was very busy). It looked like a family-run business. There was one woman at the check out register sitting there chatting it up with a customer sitting nearby, another man in the back who eventually helped us at the register (also very nice), and the poor waitress doing everything imaginable. For the price per person I am choosing a more expensive option, as the dessert wine we chose was 75€ apiece. The charcuterie was reasonably priced.

We ordered the meat and cheese board for one, desert wine and a beer. They were all okay but the service left a lot to be desired! The most interesting thing was to observe the staff sample multiple plates before dropping them to tables... I have not seen that anywhere before!

Definitely have lunch/early dinner here! I’ve been in Italy for 8 days, eating bruschetta every day, and this is the best bruschetta I’ve had. Dozens of options including gluten free. Pair it with a glass of local wine (€5-8) exclusive to cinque terra and it’s perfect for your trip here. Small, quaint, doesn’t feel too touristy, perfect for lunch or an apperitivo, great for an early dinner as well. They also sell ALL of the local wines and you can tell they have a personal relationship with the local vineyards food makers.

We set inside for almost 2 hours while it was raining and we loved every minute of it! The food was so tasty and Italian just what you can expect from a place called a nouteca. The house white wine is a great value for money and we recommend shearing the plants:)

Il Massimo della Focaccia is located in Monterosso al Mare, Italy. Focaccia, a delightful blend of pizza and bread, originated in Genoa but is now enjoyed throughout Italy. However, it is said that the best focaccia can still be found in Liguria. The perfect focaccia should be light and airy with a crispy texture, infused with the flavors of salt and glistening olive oil.
Such a nice small place right by the train station! They have lots of options and staff were helpful. They heated up what we got and were quick, despite the line. A good size for the price and packed with flavour.

Best food for the beach. Very good reasonable prices. Service excellent. They take cash and credit card. We really like the potato and rosemary plus the margarita.

For $3.80 score! Very tasty piece of foccacia! I'm a suckered for cheap eats, and this hits on all cylinders. This part of Italy can be quite expensive. Definitely, some dishes are a better value, and this is one! I enjoyed this, with its price more than the more expensive thing I ate later that evening. If you want an affordable bit by the beach in Cinque Terre, this is it!!! Take away only! I got the cream cheese, tomato, and basil foccacia!
Elizabeth D — Google review
It's a pretty basic focaccia shop. The flavors are pretty standard and the saltiness is nice but dull. The pesto is more oily than paste like. It kind of runs. You'll very easily find better bread and pesto on the inside of town. Remember, you're in a tourist hot spot. The prices are cheap which is great considering they're in the main tourist area. Staff is nice and speaks English plus the line is very quick if there is one.

We ate chocolate cornetto and foccacia al pesto. Cornetto was okay but foccacia was amazing. Coffees were average. Recommended with the amazing view.

nice focaccia. definitely try the pesto one. that pesto is sublime. the ingredients are fresh and tasty. there was a queue and i had to wait 30 minutes to get the focaccia. it was a good focaccia but was it worth a 30 minutes wait under the scorching heat? i dont know.

Went there just to drop a parcel for Irene, but the smell of fresh bread and the long queue pulled me in. Waited 30 minutes and ordered a panini and pesto focaccia, hands down the best I’ve had. Still craving it. Totally worth the detour. 🌿🍞

Cappun Magru is a charming restaurant situated near the San Lorenzo church in the upper part of Manarola. It's renowned for its rendition of the traditional Ligurian dish, Cappon magro, which features layers of cold seafood and vegetables. The restaurant also offers an array of delectable sandwiches such as octopus zavorrista style, cod and chard, and Monterosso anchovies with tomatoes and baked onions.
Delicious food and genuinely lovely service We had such a beautiful meal at Cappun Magru. The food tasted home-cooked in the best possible way. Full of flavor, heart, and care. The wine was superb, and the staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout. They had gluten free bread. I’m usually a bit skeptical of places with such high ratings, but in this case, it’s absolutely justified. Would definitely recommend.

really enjoyed the food here! they're really proud of their food and most of the ingredients are locally sourced so they tasted fresh. we had panino vernazza which was salted cod with hummus. the taste is quite neutral although it's still pretty tasty given the freshness of the ingredients. the sandwich was nicely toasted and they were so kind to slice the sandwich to half since we're sharing. we also tried poppy seed cake which was nicely heated. it's really nice and delicate. a lovely shop at the higher part of the island.

Delicious homemade specialties. Wonderful family runned restaurant with number of specialities. Also great local vino. Very warm welcome and service...french, italian, german...just perfect!

Arguably the most authentic Manarolan restaurant, family-run Cappun Magru more than rewards the walk up the hill. Offering local (often family-held) recipes, you’ll need to get in early to experience their daily specials that sell out quickly from 12.30 pm. Showcasing numerous Cinque Terre wines from ridiculously small producers, Cappun Magru’s Enrico was generous with his wine knowledge. Highly recommended, and long may their traditions continue.

Wow what a great restaurant! Highly recommend! First time having anchovies and I was blown away how great they were ! Also had the seafood pasta it was outstanding ! Not to mention the view was breathtaking !

It’s a bit overpriced. We ordered three dishes (pasta, seafood, salad) and it was 72 euro. The quality was okay but not the best. Great view but feels like that a bit hidden in town restaurants have better quality of food.

The grilled fish was good but the mussels were too small. The view is really good though. Come for the food but stayed for the view
Bow W — Google review
Food terribly shocking and extremely overpriced.I have no issue spending upwards of €100 on a nice meal but what is hilarious is being served frozen fish when we’re a few metres from the sea. You also get about 30 seconds to decide your food and the man running it was extremely rude to his employees. When coming to pay the bill, a cover charge was added. We were not given good service or anything that would make this charge worthwhile. Initially i debated the charge, however after the manager threatened to call the police and was beckoning me outside to get in a physical altercation, i decided it would be best to pay since there were children around and I did not want to get beaten up over €6 and a principle. Finally, as I left he was making snide remarks (laughing that I gave up and paid in the end, also shouting I have a small penis (this sounds like a joke, but it genuinely isn’t) at me, extremely immature and downright embrassing when should know the expectations of customer service. Please see the photos below for how bad the food is. Go anywhere else!

It was the worst calamari I've ever eaten. It was like rubber. We ate one and left it. When we told the chef, he didn't care. We asked him to change the calamari and he didn't change it. We told him we shouldn’t pay it. He was very rude and said, "No, you have to pay all.” I definitely don't recommend it.

Cinque Sensi Vernazza is a charming wine bar offering delightful wine tastings and delectable small plates. The knowledgeable servers provide an exceptional experience, and occasional pesto classes add to the charm. Visitors are encouraged to sample the renowned white Cinque Terre DOC and the local dessert wine Schiacchetra. The cozy underground setting adds to the allure, while outdoor seating allows guests to soak in the beautiful ambiance.
There are pesto making and wine tasting classes 3x daily. I highly recommend it. Our family of four enjoyed learning about the nuances of pesto making, the varieties of local grapes that go into the very local wines, and meeting other tourists from around the world. The 1st wine (sparkling) was my favorite! We will use a food processor when we make it at home.

While on vacation, we were looking for a nice little place to grab a bite and enjoy a good glass of wine on a terrace — and we stumbled upon this charming little wine bar by chance! The owner was absolutely lovely, super welcoming, passionate, and full of great recommendations. We had a delicious and generous aperitif platter, a very tasty focaccia, and tried several wines — all of them were excellent! We loved the authentic, relaxed atmosphere, far from the usual tourist traps you find along the coast. I also saw they offer workshops to make your own pesto — definitely something we’ll try next time! A wonderful find, I highly recommend it! 🍷

Agriturismo Missanega offers accommodation with a garden, bar, and shared lounge, located around 2.1 km from Monterosso Old Town Beach. The peaceful and beautiful location provides a short escape from the center while being close to the coastal attractions. The farm stay has a private entrance and friendly owners who ensure a warm welcome. Guests can enjoy quiet evenings with scenic views and explore the property's charm.
Truly a gem! We went last year and have been talking about it ever since. It’s an experience in itself. They pick you up from the parking lot with a golf cart. Your journey begins with a trip through their olive trees down to the house. We had dinner which was amazing. You get a sheet for breakfast in which you can choose options, which is great for reducing waste. Breakfast on the terrace was beautiful and delicious. To end our trip on a high note, we even bought some of their own produce, which was an amazing call. Definitely go!

Tucked away in the vibrant seaside charm of Monterosso al Mare, this "Make Your Pesto" cooking class is a hands-on love letter to Italian tradition. From the moment you step into the lush garden to hand-pick your own basil, you can feel the heart and heritage of the Cinque Terre come to life. The experience is delightfully immersive. Under the guidance of a charismatic and incredibly knowledgeable Master Pesto Chef, you'll learn the secrets behind this iconic green gold. The rhythm of the mortar and pestle becomes oddly meditative-almost like you're pounding your way into the region's soul. And the payoff? Absolute magic. The pesto you create is vibrant and bursting with freshness, especially when generously layered onto warm Focaccia and bread. Pair it with a chilled glass of local wine and a sun-drenched terrace, and you've got a memory that lingers far beyond the last bite. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply looking to taste something real and unforgettable, this class is a sensory celebration not to be missed. Italy has a lot to offer— but this one's truly a chef's kiss.

What a beautiful place! We loved staying here. So peaceful and gorgeous. Big, comfortable rooms. Amazing view over the sea. The gardens are beautiful. Service so friendly and helpful. We got served a simple meal on arrival. There is a free shuttle bus that goes regularly into town. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our porch looking at the Med with our morning coffee. Totally recommend.
T S — Google review
Had a wonderful time staying here. Diego, Alessandro and the rest of the crew there were very accommodating. Rooms were nice, city you're away from the main monterosso area it's very quiet there. Once you get dropped off from the shuttle you may have to walk down a steep windy path to get the to stay. If available you might be able to get a ride in their mini truck down and up the path. We had dinner there one of the nights and the food was wonderful as well.
Jason D — Google review
I’ll start with the great things about Missanega. It’s beautiful. The views are amazing. The staff is friendly. We were given an info packet upon arrival which was quite helpful. The breakfast brought to our room daily in a basket was great. The shuttle service was always right on time when we requested to be picked up from town. It was my understanding from the website that I’d have WiFi access. This was very important to me. However, it never worked. The front office staff tried restarting the modem but I could not stay connected to wifi for more than a few seconds during my 3 day stay. This may not matter to other guests however. Additionally, I could not make any phone calls. Because of this, I couldn’t call a cab to be picked up outside of the shuttle service schedule. I have no doubt the front office staff would help with arrangements like this, unless a guest were to need something while the front office is closed overnight. While I understood this Agriturismo was out of the town center, I was not aware that I wouldn’t be able to use my phone. A window in our room (Ginestra) wouldn’t close fully and we found quite a few bugs in our room. I don’t mind bugs too much and I know this is a house on a farm, but it would have been nice if the window closed. I know this is a small thing, but the massive shower has absolutely no shelves or ledges for any products which was strange. They do have a bottle of shower gel mounted inside the shower so if you’re a 3 in 1 kind of person then you’ll be happy. If you come and go outside of the shuttle schedule you’ll probably have to hike the little road (as opposed to riding in the back of the tractor) between the house and the gate which I’ll admit was more of a hike than I expected. Anyone older or with limited mobility may have trouble with this. I did not understand the state of the road from the website, but did have a hint about this from other previous reviews.
Victoria S — Google review
This is a peaceful and beautiful place above all the hype of Monterosso. Short escape from the center, but also just a short drive away from all the happening on the coast. Friendly and welcoming owners, rather unconventional drive from parking to the farm house, you need to do some leg work to get to the parking lot. Anyhow, you are in Cinque terre, you need to be ready to walk up an down the hills 😄. It is just a perfect place to enjoy quiet evenings with your better half. Thank you.
Darko D — Google review
Overall it was a lovely stay. The views and the property are what make it special, make sure you explore it while there. We had some frustrations the first night that started our trip off on a negative note that can be summarized as lack of communication vs. miscommunication. Once we learned to ask more questions on if things were possible (like pillows, thermostat, transportation) the more we enjoyed our stay. The two guys who ran the shuttle were very kind and informative, they turned our stay around. things I wish I saw when I was deciding to book: Because the house is nestled down the mountain about .2 miles from the parking the only way in and out of the lodging is walking steep winding paths or a tractor lift that fits only 2 people. Not a deterrent for staying, just was never made known to us and made coordinating the day more necessary on their schedule. Anyone with impaired mobility will have difficulties. Thermostat was locked at 20c/68f, if you sleep cooler you’ll need to talk to the front staff. Wi-Fi isn’t entirely reliable if you’re dependent on that, it kept kicking us off. Things for the property that would improve the stay and help your guests: When you send a confirmation of arrival email please include the parking information, the need to wait for the tractor for luggage, and the gate code. We were not prepared for any of this nor was it explained when we actually arrived. Having the shuttle times provided ahead of time would have also benefited us in pre-planning day trips and meal reservations. We were never told driving into Monterosso ourselves was an option which would have allowed for more flexibility of schedules. We were disappointed to arrive and see about 100 empty parking spots (albeit mid-week in april) and then feel stuck between waiting 2 hours for the next shuttle or a 30 euro taxi. In the info packet there is no information on trains or ferries or even a map of Monterosso. Again, would be very helpful and is normal to include at BnBs or Agriturismos. lastly- we would have loved when we got a confirmation email to be asked if we wanted to have dinner on site the night of arrival. It is hard to find information on the restaurant to book, we called multiple times to no response, and it wasn’t offered directly so we went elsewhere. We would have genuinely liked to give you our business and try the food growing on site. We also selected certain items for breakfast hoping we’d get to try Missanenga’s honey, oil, and lemon jam that you also sell to see if we were interested in buying. Having samples of these or small welcome bottles of your limoncello in the room to offer guests would make it more likely to have purchases.

Worst service in Italy. We came for coffees in the morning. One of our friends was served a wrong coffee and instead of apologizing the waitress insisted she didn’t make a mistake. In the end she said that he will get nothing. Also there’s a “coperto” for ordering drinks which is ridiculous.

This site is only open because it's a chain, not because of its food, or service. They advertised as "open" but only offered appetisers after 5pm and these still took over 15 arrive. When asked for one litro of water, they provided a single 0.5l bottle and said it was all they had. The can of coke was nocked over on delivery, they laughed about it as they did it and wouldn't offer a new one, even after it exploded.

When we asked to have one of the pizzas they had on the menu she told us that they only had margarita, when the pizza arrived we saw it was clearly a frozen pizza. This was my favorite spot in all of Cinque Terre. We hiked the Blue Trail and arrived here around 7:30am. There was so much seating available inside and outside. We ordered espresso and croissants, both of which were delicious. At 8:30am they started serving “American breakfast” which we came back for (we needed the heartiness after our hike). It was also delicious. The lady working the bar was so so nice and helpful. Nice clean bathroom (although I’m sure it gets busier later in the day). We will definitely be back any time we’re back in Cinque Terre.

The portions were okay and reasonable price, the food simple but yummy 😋, and the service friendly 😊. Conveniently located along the main street 🚶‍♂️, it’s a great spot to fuel up in the morning with a relaxed local vibe. Perfect way to start the day in Cinque Terre. 🙌

I visited here late one evening for drinks and pizza, both of which were delicious. The owner was so friendly and danced around singing and playing the piano, truly immaculate vibes. Check them out!

Stopped here to relax and ordered. They would not allow patrons to use the washroom. I overheard another lady ask to use the bathroom and the guy wanted to charge 2.50. Absolutely. Ridiculous. No happy faces at this place. If you have a restaurant and do t like tourists, then you are in thr wrong business. Everyone should do him a favor and stop going to this place.

I just saw a review about this place that said “Palestine flag hard pass” so am putting this review to say shame on you, didn’t even try the food and put a 1 star over political beliefs. Supporters of Israel’s genocide can stay out of vernazza, if youre checking reviews on places in Vernazza, just know there’s many Palestine flags all over and you are not welcome here!!

Batti Batti Focacceria is a must-visit spot in Vernazza, offering delicious and fresh focaccia at affordable prices. The warm and dense focaccia con olive is a popular choice among hikers heading up the hillside or visitors looking for a mid-afternoon snack. In addition to their mouthwatering focaccia, they also offer various options of pizza, vegetable pies slices, and fried finger foods.
So good! The portions were very generous and cheaper than in the neighboring villages. Plus, we could choose the portions we wanted of each fish! The quality was excellent! 5*, I couldn’t recommend it more 😍
Inês V — Google review
It is a great focacceria in that zone. The quality and taste of the food are good and the service is quit fast. Staff are friendly and it is clean and well decorated inside. The only problem is it is so small and also the price are high respect to the portions.

Pretty good spot for fried seafood. I got the small with seafood and veggies for ~9€. The portion size is huge - she really packed the food in. I liked some of the seafood more that the others but overall pretty good. It’s not freshly fried so it’s not hot and crispy but it’s still good. I would recommend trying it out for a snack to share.
Samantha Y — Google review
Great atmosphere, could tell the ladies loved their job. Great recommendations. Got the pesto focaccia and salami focaccia. Also 2 local beers. Would recommend!
Rachel E — Google review
You could customize the seafood in your cone, so I selected Calamari, Cod, Shrimp, and Fries. My favorite was the shrimp because it had the most flavor. It was a filling, bang for your buck meal, but there were better seafood cones in Cinque Terre. You must try one of these cones if you’re in Cinque Terre and enjoy seafood!

The chips were edible but not great (ate them mostly out of hunger) but the fried fish was awful. The first bite I took had three bones in it and the fish itself was tough and tasted terrible. Only good thing I can say about it is the person serving was very nice.
Maya W — Google review
We got the fish and chips. Fries were your standard frozen french fries, and had been sitting under a warmer for hours. Cod was not good. Can't say how any of the other fish they offered was, but we threw it away after a couple bites.
Brittany R — Google review
Avoid at all costs! Honestly the worst focaccia I’ve ever had – dry, tough, and tasting days old. The olives were so stale that even the smell was unpleasant. After two bites it went straight to the bin. It’s a shame to serve something like this to tourists, as places like this harm not only themselves but also the reputation of the region.

Pizza restaurant
Pizzeria Fratelli Basso is a must-visit spot with an average score that doesn't do it justice. The food, including margarita pizza and stuffed focaccia, is top-notch and surpasses experiences in Milan and Venice. Located near UNESCO sites, the prices are fair and the beer is cold. Visitors rave about the delicious and crunchy crust of their pizzas.
Came here for a some food and some drinks to escape the rush of footfall in this small touristy village. This was a great place for people watching, had tasty bruschetta and good beers on tap. Service was quick and friendly, a good place for a rest on the busy Main Street in Vernazza.
Matthew T — Google review
Overall, very good for a small place with small seating. But was a good experience and enjoyed the bruschetta very much. Pizza by the slice was also good. Enjoyed the draught beer without a brand on it. Nice people. Liked it.
Ravi C — Google review
Stopped for a drink and ended up getting some prosciutto e meloni, which is precisely melon with prosciutto which was amazing. A bit expensive I’d say, but very tasty tho. The Aperol was good as well and the staff was very kind and amiable
Emanuela F — Google review
A good spot to grab a pizza and a beer. We sat on the patio and shared a spicy salami pizza and a big bottle of beer. The beer was cold, the pizza was pretty good and we enjoyed the people watching of this incredibly busy town - Vernazza.
Mike T — Google review
Bruschetta tasted good. They said it had basil and garlic, but it wasnt fresh, it was just sprinkled on powders. It was still good, but a tad disappointing. Pizza was alright. Nothing to write home about but not bad. The staff wasn’t too friendly, but not rude. My biggest complaint is that they charge €1.50 per person to just show up. It was kinda ridiculous. You get no water view, no cool ambiance. I’m not quite sure what I’m paying for with that??
Angela B — Google review
There’s not much difference to the other restaurants here. But… The housewine is so much better than at other locations. The service is super friendly, even when it’s full. I only had a slice of pizza, which was delicious but I can’t say more about the food.
Alkaline P — Google review
The woman who served us was so lovely! It was pouring with rain & she still managed to have a smile on her face when bringing our coffee & bruschetta. Super yummy!

I've had my fair share of pizzas so far in my 2 weeks through Italy, and this one was just amazing from the first bite right to the end. The crust was delicious and crunchy, the base was solid and well cooked, the inside was light and fluffy. I would not hesitate to eat here again!

Pizza restaurant
Pizzeria da Ercole is a restaurant located in Crotone, Calabria, a region in southern Italy known for its proximity to the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas. Despite initial doubts about the quality of the food, visitors were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and affordable pizza served at this establishment. While there is no indoor seating, guests can enjoy their meal at the adjacent cocktail bar.
Delicious pizza straight out of the oven. The staffs are friendly and serve quickly. Other reviewers complain about frozen pasta... which is clearly indicated in the menu. This is a PIZZERIA, which should give you a clue what to order here. American tourists should have some common senses when they travel abroad.
Duy T — Google review
We called in here for lunch and tried the risotto with porcini mushrooms and the vegetarian pizza (Verdure Grigliate). The pizza dough was very nice and crispy with scant toppings. The risotto was nice although the portion size was a little small for my liking. Staff were very accommodating, although we did get a chipped plate to eat off. There is a cover charge of €1.50 but we did not get served any bread or appetiser for this charge.
Barb S — Google review
Such a bad experience… we ordered 2 hamburger with fried potatoes. The waiter wasn’t fluent either in Italian or English… When he brought the hamburger, the cheese was completely frozen, I told him to warm it by showing it, he didn’t get it all. The potato fries weren’t cooked well, some of them were impossible to eat… the toilet had no lock… the restaurant keep having new costumers, I was lucky enough that nobody tried to open it. How hard is it to put a locker on a shared toilet? Everything was overpriced if you consider the taste… when we asked for ketchup and mayonnaise, they brought 2 different brands and the packages were dusty a lot, seemed like they took them for a restaurant…

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Setting is a bit odd, like a back room, but we'd go back in an instant because the food was excellent. Favorites were the carbonara spaghetti, Margherita pizza, lasagna, French fries, and jumbo Birra Moretti beers.
G S — Google review
We ate here last night not looking at the reviews beforehand. Were somewhat wary waiting for our food once we had read the reviews… but surprise!! The food was great. The cannelloni tasted fresh. Pasta stuffed with spinach and cheese in a tasty white sauce. My partner had the lasagna and he enjoyed it as well. The server was friendly and attentive. My wine wasn’t great - but not worth giving the place a bad review.
Lauree K — Google review
Their specialty it’s pizza so if you go there get pizza. I ordered Mascarpone e crudo and it was one of the pizza i ever had. The dough was cooked to perfection and the tomato sauce was fresh with perfect Italian seasoning. The taste was literally out of this world. I don’t suggest getting their sea food or pastas as they’re frozen but their pizzas are absolutely amazing. The service could be slightly better
Shayan N — Google review
Do not waste your money here. The prices are lower than the stores around them for good reason. The pasta is all frozen (although they disclose that in the menu). It’s primarily a pizzeria. They are particularly bad when it comes to service. I was a single traveler with a time constraint. I asked multiple times to place my order and no one came by. They had 2 tables sit down after me who were parties or 2-4 that got served before me. Absolutely disgraceful establishment. Although the reviews and average rating speaks for itself. Spend an extra 3-5 euros per dish and go to a neighboring trattoria.
Rish C — Google review
The food was delicious and the desserts were amazing! This place was perfect for us since we did not want seafood but wanted good pasta. The prices were very reasonable too.
