Couldn't have asked for a better lunch, absolutely fantastic experience, both food and staff. Our waiter was absolutely superb. Described our dishes, gave recommendations and made the experience perfect. Highly recommend for a dining experience you won't forget. Grazie mille!

A typical tourist restaurant. The food was average, and there was no flexibility to order anything outside of the set menu. At least they managed to bring us tomatoes and mozzarella separately, as they weren’t able to prepare a Caprese salad. The pasta wasn’t bad, the most delicious one was the lobster pasta. However, the most disappointing part was that they added an extra bottle of wine to our bill, which we neither ordered nor drank. When we pointed out that we had only one bottle, they corrected the bill without any issues. Still, it left us with a slightly uncomfortable feeling, as it could have been an honest mistake or something less innocent. The only truly enjoyable aspect was the beautiful garden and its pleasant atmosphere.

Great local food. We had for apetisers au eroine which was not so reat and 16 year old prosciuto with bread and cheese - very tasty! Maine course we had the răzbit with polenta and ravioli👌

Incredible meal and a wonderful dining experience. We were served by Michel, a sommelier with a true passion for his craft. He had spot-on tasting notes for the simple montepulciano blend we selected, made excellent meal suggestions, poured a few glasses of a lovely white to try with our grilled sea bass (when I asked if we had made a classic wine error ordering fish while enjoying abbottle of red), and took care of us quite adeptly throughout dinner. Truly enjoyable!

Day trip to Bergamo, I stopped by to try Stracciatella (chocolate chip gelato). It is a birthday place of stracciatella. I am not big chocolate chip ice cream person. It was creamy and it was good. I wanted wafer cone, it is only come in 3 scoops, 4.50 euro. The wafer cone was okay. The other two favors were pistachios and strawberry. Stracciatella was the best of the three. Is it better than other gelato, not really.

The original stracciatella ice cream. Yes,this is much more delicious than anything sold as stracciatella. I became a fan. 🤩 Also tried polenta e osei which is a local specialty and very tasty. Crispy sweet polenta outside and some kind of cream with almond and apricot jam inside. Don't forget to try coffee with zabaglione as well, I loved it!!

A Perfect Afternoon at La Marianna – Gelato, Aperol, and Sunshine after a walk from the castello di san vigillio. During my recent visit to Bergamo’s charming Città Alta, I had the pleasure of stopping by La Marianna at Largo Colle Aperto, 4. Seated on their spacious outdoor terrace, I indulged in their specialty affogato a delightful combination of rich espresso poured over their signature La Marianna’s original 1961 creation, stracciatella creamy gelato. Complementing this was a refreshing Aperol Spritz, perfectly balanced and served with a smile. The gelato was creamy and rich, with generous chocolate shavings that melted perfectly on the tongue. It was evident that high-quality ingredients were used, making it one of the best I’ve tasted. The ambiance was serene, with the sun casting a gentle glow and the world leisurely passing by. It’s no wonder La Marianna is renowned not only for inventing the iconic stracciatella gelato in 1961 but also for providing such memorable experiences.  If you find yourself in Bergamo, I highly recommend taking a moment to relax at La Marianna. Whether you’re a gelato enthusiast or simply seeking a tranquil spot to unwind, this establishment offers both history and hospitality in equal measure. 

Gelato is good however 3 scopes in the cup is similar size of 1 scoop with cone.

Huge disappointment as for the restaurant you can find in the Michelin Guide. The dishes were served cold and, what’s more important, prepared without any imagination (you would expect that from the restaurant on the Michelin Guise list). Simple lamb (meat not cleaned properly) served with grilled pieces of vegetables, and tuna (as a fish of a day). The only interesting one was “Xiao Long Bao”, with some kind of character. But that’s it. Moreover, wine list is on 88 (!) pages, as this is a wine shop. But… the waiter couldn’t recommend anything, simply asking us if we want red, white or sparkling. I would call it: funny and unprofessional. We ordered red, for the price of not more than 40€. We got it. Relief. On top of that: the restaurant is in the residential area, far away from Cita Bassa. We have specially selected this place, as we have never been disappointed by the Michelin recommendation. Ane we wanted to celebrate our visit to Bergamo. Anyway: stay away from this place. Don’t go there: it’s a waste of time and money.

Outstanding service and an overall fantastic experience. I came to the restaurant a little too late to enjoy the food, however the kitchen prepared a set of snack and cheese for me to go with my wine. The staff was excellent and my waiter took the time to ask me about the kind of wine I like and what I am looking for. He opened a bottle of a very nice Cuoredivino 2018 which I really enjoyed. The music was charming as well. I highly recommend this place for a social meeting, romantic date or simply just to sit down and enjoy a beautiful glass of vino. Absolutely flawless experience.

Great restaurant located in Bergamo! The place is well-finished with a large collection of wines and modern paintings. The waiters are professional and well prepared. Moreover, both the ingredients and the cuisine are refined. All the flavours are valorised and food plating is in line with Michelin-starred restaurants. I really appreciated the pigeon, one of the most tricky meats, as well as the fish appetiser. Special experience!!! Strongly suggest!

I really enjoyed visiting this restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Bergamo (although only about a 10 minute walk from centre). The food was great. The welcome friendly and a nice buzzy atmosphere. Interesting design wise and definitely worth revisiting.

The place has an amazing atmosphere. It is worth to travel here from the historical center of Bergamo. Especially the finger food, the small dishes, are very tasty.

My husband and I researched restaurants in Bergamo before we left the UK. We came across this delightful restaurant online and called to book a table on the terrace for the evening we arrived. Well, what can we say! It delivered beyond our expectations in every way. We took the funicular railway and a few steps from the terminal & we had arrived at the restaurant with its outstanding view and twinkling lights. It was such a pretty setting. The buzz from the people dining on the terrace was just lovely, and we received exceptional service from the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly too. The menu choices were amazing, and the food was incredible! Every dish had flavours that set your taste buds going. We had a lovely rose wine recommended by their wine waiter, which did not disappoint. All in all, we had a truly wonderful evening, and we will treasure our memories of our time spent here. Highly recommended. Pay a visit when in Bergamo, you will not be disappointed!

We found out about this place from the Michelin guide and this was actually a second visit. We went in without a reservation and the staff were super accommodating. The food is so good, it has a familiar feel, like good ol' homecooked meals but with a special twist. I especially enjoyed the pumpkin appetizer, the carbonara and the truffle pasta. Not to mention the pittoresque setting which was so cozy in a rainy day.

Attended for lunch 21/05/25. Beautiful restaurant with stunning views. We sat outside as it was warm and the views were tremendous. Staff were very attentive and the food was lovely. Highly recommend

Had an excellent dinner here Aug 31st. It was hard to choose whether to sit inside or outside as the inside is so beautiful, and the outdoor view is amazing. Excellent young lady server took care of us and the food was amazing. Grazie.

One of the best experiences I ever had in Italy, amazing food, great staff. I would totally recommend this eating journey. We got here by accident just visiting Bergamo after some busy days in Milan, and were kinda disappointed to be honest. But I do recommend Bergamo and especially this restaurant. Important destination in Bergamo. Great food, excellent location, and super experience. Not all the service peolpe speak english - but it's not a big issue.

This is a Michelin star restaurant so you can expect prices to be high, but you do great food and great service. The food was amazing although I ordered the Cod with Polenta and expected it quite different but still delicious. I was able to taste the Octopus as a main dish and this was magnificent. A nice touch was all the complimentary little dishes in between courses and with the coffee. We were a party of 11 so I was lucky to try different starters and main courses and all the meals were exceptional. We had a lovely Bergamo white which was fruity and complimented our courses which were all mainly fish courses. A meal at this restaurant is not cheap but it's a culinary experience worth indulging in. I have to mention the excellent customer service which was delivered with professionalism and cheerfulness. There is only one thing that lets this restaurant down, and that is the toilets. First, they need to be cleaned during the clients being there as it gives a bad impression when there is no toilet paper or hand wipes.

A classic touristy spot—crowded but efficient. Service was quick, though the pizza leaned a bit salty for my taste. They were too busy to clean the tables promptly, but we managed to find a spot upstairs. The space there felt a bit bare, with plain walls and no decoration.

What a place! The pizza is exceptional in flavour and choice. It was busy the times we went but the numbering system to order is helpful and having more than one person with you to find and wait for a table whilst the other pays and collects is ideal. You pay by the kilo so can be easy to ask for a small/large slice as they cut them to order.

The focaccia was absolutely worth the wait! From taking the ticket to placing and paying for the order, we waited about 20 minutes – but every bite made it worthwhile. We paid around €20 for two pieces, which is more than fair given the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Perfectly balanced flavors, soft and aromatic dough – it simply melts in your mouth. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Very popular place for pizza and focaccia in old town Bergamo. Service was quick with lots of options for pizzas. Pizza is also reheated and baked before they serve you.

Honestly the food looked so good and I have been seeing it on instagram . But when I reached there , there were already a lot of people in queue and yet the food tasted old , stale and not fresh . I paid almost 10 euros per slice because it weighed and it’s mostly bread that heavy . The croissant ham sandwich was mid and so was their latte. Honestly I would never go back there . The margarita I ate was honestly the most fried slice of stale pizza I have had and the salmon was edible but for the money I paid it’s such a rip off

There was a big queue and from the outside the pizza looks amazing - Sadly it didn’t live up to the hype.. Pizza: 5️⃣ way too salty, definitely not worth the price (my slide was €8.6) Staff: 9️⃣ friendly tho, which was a plus

I had the Tradizione tasting menu and everything was delicious. The pasta was super tasty, the fish was really fresh, and each dish looked beautiful too. You can tell they really care about what they serve. The wine was also great and matched the food perfectly. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Big bonus: it’s dog friendly! If you're in Bergamo, definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoined our meals here. The atmosphere was amazing and the service exquisite. I've had one of the best desserts - bread butter and milk. I also loved the mutton and chicken, but all the dishes were amazing.

The location in Bergamo is average, but the interior is carefully chosen. We visited the restaurant as a family of six. The Italian cuisine is local, very tasteful and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the traditional menu (5-courses with the restaurant signature dish - pasta). The service is very friendly and helpful. The pice is little above average, but justified by the quality & creativity of the dishes we had. We will visit the place in Bergamo again.

After reading some good recommendations of this place, we went for lunch a Saturday afternoon. There were plenty of space when we arrived. We received a warm welcome from the waiter, who spoke good English language. We both had the beef tatar and the famous pasta dish from the region Casoncelli. Both dishes were served quickly and were both wonderful. All in all a very good experience and we can really recommend the place.

Excellent food at reasonable pricing! The Interieur is tasteful, service quite nice and after asking, helpful. I mistook natural wine for bio- Wine and , after asking was informed about my probable mistake. Thanks for that. Proposed wine was excellent. Nice place!

Panino Giusto at Orio al Serio Airport in Bergamo Milano offers an impressive dining experience despite the bustling airport environment. The sandwiches, as expected, are amazing. I enjoyed a smoked praga sandwich, while my girlfriend had a salmon one. Both were delicious and maintained the high standard that Panino Giusto is known for. The service was commendable, and we appreciated having a place to sit down and relax even though the airport was quite crowded. The spritz drinks we ordered were also quite good, adding to the overall pleasant experience. However, the price is on the higher side. Spending 15 euros for a sandwich feels steep, which is something to consider. Despite the cost, Panino Giusto provides a nice spot to unwind before a flight, with quality food and drink in a comfortable setting.

If you come from a Foreign Country you need to try Panino Giusto, it’s the real big company that do fast food but with the Italian quality and products. You will spend more than an avarage fast food but it’s really the best panino that you can eat in Italy. I ate Esagerato and Baita that they are amazing, dessert and coffee are good too, it’s not my first time in this place. Unfortunately it’s located this in the airport so it’s loud as all Italian people, but is the best place to eat if you’re waiting your flight.

Had a one-hour break at the airport and decided to skip the usual McDonald’s (which is just across) and try this place instead, and….what a great decision! We had two paninis, the Tartufo and something like Jolly, and they were honestly incredible, considering that it was an airport food. Fresh, flavorful, and way more satisfying than your typical fast food at the airports. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something tasty and a bit more special during your waiting time!

Spent 19 EUR for two incredibly delicious vegetarian sandwiches. We were blown away by how good they were and would have wanted more. They were prepared quite quickly. We didn't seat at their table as there was a 15 minute waiting time, but we got the food to go and sat at the common area tables. Out of all the eating options available in the Bergamo Airport, this place is definitely worth it.

Bought the absolute cheapest thing on the menu (a tiny ham-and-cheese toast, €7.80!) just so I could use a socket and charge my phone as there’re no sockets in the airport. After I paid and sat down, the waitress came over and told me I’d have to spend more money if I wanted to sit at a table. Total scammy attitude they just want to squeeze every cent out of you. Honestly felt unwelcome and ripped off.

Very tasty food and good coffee. I was looking for a croissant with pistach and they had exactly this. Also I got the croissant with nocciolla and the taste was amazing. For brunch I ate Panino Il Sublime and I was very satisfied, it execede my expectation. On the other side service was a little bit of, coffee was served to go even if I had a table, the sandwich was forgoten in the owen and the tables cleaned with some delay.

A slice of pizza, a focaccia, a Sicilian arancino... You choose the Italian snack from this take away fast food. Sandwiches, focaccias and pizza are freshly are made there in the kitchen. Other food arrives frozen and they just microwave before going on the shelf, unfortunately there are no signs about it. Recommended is the focaccia di Recco (a city next to Genoa) very difficult to find out of Liguria.

1 star is the perfect rating for this bar. Overpriced, low quality products, is just a turist trap just like any other bar you will find here, they are owned by the same busines that changes name to trick you into believing you have freedom of choice. The only pro is the tortellini option, still Overpriced but they are actually good if you can go beyond the 10 euros per portion. Also during summer its infested with flies.

Very busy spot for dinner special at the weekend. Reservation was needed. We have ordered Rabit with polenta, beef with polenta and two pizzas + bottle of red wine and 2 Coca Cola paid around 80 euros with coperto. We didn’t have to wait long for our order. Everything was tasty. Portion was not to big. If you order only one dish (no starters) you might be a little bit hungry but then you have a space for dessert so overall is good👍

Arrived in Bergamo and had to try this place despite a couple of dodgy reviews. Walked in about 6pm and were immediately sat at a nice table. My family and I had a fantastic time. Great food (the steak was awesome!), really friendly staff who were helpful on food and wine selections and great fun. We were sat upstairs and we all commented how good the acoustics were for conversation at the table in a reasonably full restaurant by the time we left at about 9:30pm. As for the slightly negative reviews on here… Hey everyone has an off day, don’t let that put you off this great establishment. Cost wise… €170 for 4 people having 2-3 courses each, soft drinks and a decent bottle of local wine to complement the steak. We felt that was very reasonable considering the quality of the experience. We could easily have dined there without deserts and the alcoholic beverages for well under €100

Great restaurant at citta alta with a lot of local products. They offer a variety of local cuisine, beer, wines, pizza and sweets. When we went it was packed and had quite a wait time, so it was a good thing we had a reservation in advance. The dishes were great and the pizza was very light.

Located in the medieval heart of Bergamo, in a building that once housed an ancient monastery later converted into a prison, Il Circolino di Città Alta offers cozy, atmospheric spaces that make for a truly memorable dining experience. We enjoyed an exquisite Italian lunch, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The pizzas were light and crispy, while the Caprese salad featured ripe, juicy tomatoes and a whole mozzarella, perfectly seasoned with fresh herbs. Very reasonably priced. The waiting staff were attentive and polite throughout. A wonderful spot — I’d definitely recommend visiting when in Bergamo!

Great service and great vegan options! We were happy to find a traditional Italian ristorante that offers a variety of vegan options. It’s not listed on the menu but the staff helped out! 😊 Till now we ate the bruschetta with Tomate, the spaghetti pomodoro, we love the insalata mista but our highlight is the vegan polenta option! 🙏

Good pizza and with options to have it gluten-free and with lactose free mozzarella. Not many pizza places have both options. Service was okay,had the impression that the waitress was going to say no to my wife when she asked to have her pizza cut for her. She eventually took my wife’s pizza back to the kitchen to have it sliced up but she gave the impression that she was reluctant to do it. Not sure why but it’s a simple request. Not sure I would go back to this restaurant.

Everything that we ordered was delicious. The beer selection is good. My linguini with sea food looks very good, but some of the food needs to be cleaned from shells. It wasn't so comfortable and you need napkins. The tables are very close each others. Overall I could come back and will recommend to my friends.

Excellent and delicious dinner in this old world restaurant. Generous but beautifully plated first and second courses. The Casoncelli is one of the best I’ve tasted here in Bergamo. The cotaletta veal chop… huge and delicious. The tables are large and the decor charming. The traditional service outstanding, warm and inviting. All in all… highly recommend this for a great meal.

We had a good time there. Grilled chicken was good. The veal dish was also good. The choice of wine was also good and the price was reasonable. Grilled vegetables were absolutely good.

Spot recommend by random local women on the street (we ask her where we could eat and she point this spot- thank You young lady from the street). We couldn’t get the table without reservation so we made one for different day and we were not disappointed at all. The food was excellent, staff were well prepared for the service and willing to help. One of the best’s restaurant experiences we had in Bergamo. Highly recommend this spot but remember to make a reservation

Fantastic experience all around, the food was great -- probably the best asparagus I have ever had in addition to all the great usual Bergamese food. The decor is wonderful. Some of the wautors didn't speak English but were nevertheless attentive and brought their English speaking colleagues over. BTW they brought out complementary sweets after we declined dessert. Nice folks.

The most importantly, food is delicious, prepared with care and thought. The tartare was smooth and fresh, although presentation was giving me communist vibes. Casoncelli alla Bergamasca was divine, but be aware of the amount of butter used. Unfortunately didn’t see any lombardian desert on the menu so I went with apple strudel and it was on point! Even gelato was a proper Italian style! Now service: got a little thrown off guard by a tall, mature waiter at the door when I said I arrived to dine alone. He said it wasn’t possible. I explained I booked a table for 2, because website didn’t allow to book for 1. He wasn’t happy about it and while offering me a table he asked me to delete reservation on fork.it. There should be an option for people to eat alone, so that’s an area of improvement. Otherwise the young man serving me wine was very approachable and had great knowledge of the menu. The lady who served food was also very friendly.

This taverna is pure perfection. The food, service and atmosphere are great. The food is so tasty, and delicious, Italian traditional. So, this taverna represents the best kitchen in the world, Italian kitchen❤️❤️❤️

Very good food but a bit pricey. For the prices, the service should be a bit better. Can recommend this establishment when in Bergamo but be sure to dress properly also. Not a scruffy jeans and t-shirt kind of place. Unless they are designer items of clothing. The inner part of the building is spectacular. Very old with arched ceilings.

We had a truly wonderful dining experience at Le Goût Ristorante. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The owner gave us excellent recommendations, including perfect wine pairings that complemented each dish so well. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made the evening feel special. Pretty nice restaurant in a renovated building with frescos on the ceiling. The service was kind and English speaking. I had seafood pasta and meat ravioli. It was very tasty.

We was in town for 1 day for our friends birthday, wanted somewhere with good quality food with amazing atmosphere. This was the place! Staff were great at explaining the menu and giving recommendations. The lobster pasta was incredible. They done a surprise dessert for our friends birthday and sang happy birthday. The chef also came out to greet us which was the ultimate ending. Lovely staff, family based restaurant. Will definitely recommend.

Both dishes were very salty. The pasta was hard like its half-cooked? The chef explained that its because of the octopus soaked in salt water. I was not sure because the octopus itself was not salty but the sauce.

At Antica Osteria Del Vino Buono in Bergamo, the service was great, with staff that were very welcoming and friendly. We began with a shared plate of charcuterie and cheese, which offered a nice mix of flavors. This was followed by the ‘drunk’ risotto (daily specials) and ravioli; the risotto was fine, though it didn't stand out in flavor. The ravioli, filled with meat and topped with sage, bacon, and melted butter, was exceptionally tasty. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant further enhanced our enjoyable dining experience.

I’m still thinking about the pasta weeks later, one of the most flavourful dishes I’ve had in a while. Service was lovely, well priced and good atmosphere inside.

The food is pretty bad for the restaurant. They brought what they claim to be a “slowly cooked pork” within 10 minutes, which means it’s premade. Feels like I ate in a school canteen a very mediocre dish. The tomatoes they brought were not quite fresh either. The interior and service is good, but I’m disappointed with a food a lot, waste of money.

Lovely family run restaurant! The service was very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress had a great knowledge of allergies, specifically gluten free. Lots of old family recipes - all our food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back next time we are in Bergamo!

The food is so good. It was August when we came but I can’t imagine how amazing this must be on a cold winter day. Service was so fast and friendly. But the food was simply something else. I wolfed down the Ragu of Wild Boar and was tempted to go back for another but I quickly realised that I was full. But my eyes, my nose and my tastebuds all wanted more. The food is faster than macdonalds, cheaper than macdonalds, and so much healthier. If I lived in Bergamo I’d eat this every day

Great food option for a chilly autumn day. It's a warm, cozy meal, the portions are very filling and you have quite a few options for sauces. I took the mushroom sauce without cheese...grear for lactose intolerant vegetarians! There are a few seating options in front but it's best to take it with you and find a spot overlooking the city.

We stopped for a lunch unplanned. This small kiosk-like offers variety of polenta with different ingredients. Recommended. Small space to sit but the square in front is typical Italian, in the heart of Bergamo alta. Good food. Service can improve.

The food was amazing and offered something completely new - without being too expensive. The attention to detail in flavours and cooking techniques was on point. We only found this bar after checking Google for recommended places to eat in Bergamo, but we're so glad we did. It is a little out of the centre of Citta Alta but is well worth a visit. It has a nice, relaxing atmosphere and a wide selection of beers - if you're into that thing 😁. The staff are really nice but, without doubt the star of the show is the food. I would safely say it is the best we've had anywhere in Bergamo and would highly recommend the burgers and pizzas.

It was quite late dinner and only one open restaurant in that part of the city. Love local dishes and taste.

Don't get me wrong, the food's very good - it just didn't amaze us as some other restaurants with similar Michelin ratings. For the reference - we had a 5-course tasting menu with wine pairing.

It has moved to Villa Elena about 800m up the hill. Be careful making reservation, it isn’t obvious that it is no longer at this location. (I did not eat there. I give it one star only to make the review more noticeable. I will delete it once Google shows it in the new location)

I’m utterly amazed anyone would rate this place less than five stars. This place is not cheap but worth every penny! My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to dine at this establishment during lunch while in Bergamo. For our lunch we decided to partake in the Caual Taster and wine pairing... All I can say is mind blown. From the raw shrimp with fried legs to the amazing raviolis in chicken consume, it was all amazing. Casual has set the bar for all other restaurants for me. Highly recommend!

If you are a tourist DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. They won't bring you english menu so you won't understand and they will choose for you the most expensive meals, extras and wines!!! You will exit with a 800€ bill without understanding.

Charming bakery. We tried the traditional sweet polenta (POLENTA E OSEI), typical of Bergamo, and it was very tasty and interesting. The cannoli and the roll with yellow cream and raisins were also very fresh and had a wonderful flavor.

It is a rustic bakery right by the fanicular. We tried the popular polenta cake. It was fresh, moist, just a bit too sweet for me. Other bakeries were all very delicious, especially the pistachio cream croissant was something not to be skipped.

Foccacia was delicious. Pizza dough was not so great, as it was dry and there was no salt at all on the topings. Very small place. Can get crowded very fast. But overall okay. No vegan sweet bakery options.

The space is beautiful and the service is great. They offer many complimentary treats courtesy of the chef; however the food was hit or miss. The appetizer flight on the map was phenomenal but many of the other dishes we had were underwhelming in taste but very well presented. I have mixed feelings as the staff were fantastic but I think overall it was overpriced. The esthetics were better than the taste.

The restaraunt is located in a bit of an odd location at an old bus depot and we were puzzled walking up here. Once you get inside you forget about the neighbourhood though. The old bus depot was more intimate than we expected and the food was ... outstanding. We had 8 dishes as well as the wine pairing (7 glasses) and it was an amazing experience with a lot of food from Sicily that we had no prior knowledge of or experience with. Absolutely the best we had in Bergamo.

Waiters were very rude. They technically asked me to leave because I didn’t finish all my plates. When I ordered balsamic they refused. When I go to a restaurant I expect to eat however and whatever I want, nevertheless a michelin star restaurant. It's disappointing to see that you fail to understand the importance of customer service and respect. As a paying customer, I have the right to express my opinions and experiences, whether positive or negative. It's unfortunate that you struggle to handle constructive criticism without becoming defensive. Your condescending tone and refusal to acknowledge any wrongdoing only reinforce the negative experience I had at your so called michelin star restaurant. It's clear that you lack the professionalism and humility required to run a successful business. I strongly suggest you reflect on your approach to customer feedback. Remember, it is the customers who ultimately determine the success or failure of your restaurant. Dismissing their opinions with such arrogance will only drive them away.

Very good food, thats no discussion. We had the tasting menu. The tempo of the courses was very high. We asked to take some more time between the courses, but that was not possible?? They only serve wine or water. There is no other possibility for people who doesn’t drink alcohol or for children. Unbelievable that a michelin star restaurant has no alternative (juices, mocktails, infusion or soft drinks).

Some fun servers working at this place to serve us some gelato to end the evening. Many flavors to choose from with good portion sizes. They have cup or a selection of waffle cone sizes. The flavors were creamy and flavorful. Unfortunately they were out of pistachio, but they had so many other flavors to choose from it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. The place was clean and organized and is setup to serve people and keep the crowd moving.

I had a disappointing experience at this ice cream shop. While the quality of the ice cream was average, I was surprised by the portion size of the large ice cream—it's the smallest "large" serving I've ever encountered. Additionally, the prices for 2024 are quite high at €5.50 for less than 100g of ice cream. I expected more for my money.

Very beautiful place because of the scenery But the gastro experience by itself is not worth it. There is too much choices for breakfast so it is hard to choose. The pastrami sendvich was dry and overall 2/10. The Italiana style sendvich was 5/10. We asked for a bottle of water twice and it was never delivered.

We just had a coffee and cheesecake here and they were fine, there is a lovely view. It is not too popular, as its at the end of the funicular hall so you have to navigate your way through the line to get there. The upside was that it was easy to find seats on the terrace with the view, even over easter. Interesting spread of clientele and somewhat tired staff most of whom are migrants.

Beautiful view and benefits from an outdoor space but no freshness in the milkshake or smoothie, matcha of good quality but unfortunately not well worked, the value for money is not great, I think you have to ask for ice cubes in your drink to be refreshed

We only ordered beers so cannot comment on food. First impressions is it’s a tourist trap but I feel the food could be good. The view is definitely great. To our surprise our beers that were €6 each for large, were accompanied it a free tasting plate. Service is good and speak English.

Lovely place to eat with friends with a lot of food variety to choose from and a nice view to enjoy all the meanwhile. We've had an avocado toast and we've all been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients, so the price is totally justified, and we'll definitely be back next time we visit Bergamo.

The best cake we’ve ever had! The chicken wings were also delicious. The outside (terrace) would be awesome but there’s always some people smoking so we had to change tables and sit inside because they blew the smoke right into our faces.😅 But other than this it was a great experience and we liked the interior design very much!🥰

This was an emergency and very surprising find after a day of travel on the hottest day at 34c! Don' t be alarmed if you see people lining up outside. Service is very fast and super fiendly, good prices but the taste is just superb. Menu is in English as well. A wide variety of topping and you can customize as you wish. I had the Gorgonzola and Prawn - Gorgonzola is the Italian version of blue cheese - it's much lighter with a mild sweeter taste but still a good hint of blue cheese. Such a great taste. It really works far better on pizza than bland tasteless Mozzarella. You can eat in with 4 tables at the back, or take it down to the city wall just a minute away. It's worth trying if in the area!

We tried the pizza here, like 3 years ago. And I still think about this place. It was one of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The guys there were very nice, they even gave us a blanket, so we could sit on the grass in the park/square. Thank you:)

A tiny authentic place in the old upper part of Bergamo. Thin juicy crunchy pizza - the way I like it most. Very nice owner. I told her, if one day I want to learn to make good pizza I will come again.

The local is very small (not really suitable for larger groups). We were 2 and we felt very comfortable and welcomed. That’s propably the best pizza in the world! In very tiny place that you will not expect it bo so good! They are very quick, so so soooo sorry nice and friendly! And the taste of pizza! Omg perfect! They even have blankets to borrow if you want sit on the grass and look at the view of Bergamo ❤️

I had the Apollo chicken burger at a cafe in the airport, and it was quite good. The ordering process was a bit chaotic, though. After paying, you receive a receipt and need to go to another counter where the food is prepared. It seems to operate on a first-come, first-served basis, which leads to some confusion and a bit of a scramble as people push to get their orders. This system made it take a while to actually get the food. Also, the way they heat the food made the bread and burger a bit soggy from condensation, but the taste was still decent. Prices are higher, as expected at an airport, but they're not too over the top compared to other places.

AWFUL!! i regret going here . when i was looking at what to get , a lady who works there came to us and started shouting on another language and dismissing me , she then said on english that they were closing. Then 2 minutes later i see her at the cash register with customers ( they obviously werent closing she just refused to serve me ) . When i noticed that i went to her and asked her why she refused to serve me , which she explained as : “ i was just pretending not to understand u “ . I had gotten my sandwich only when another worker came by and offered me a service . She is really unproffesionall and i dont know how she still has a job .

Terrible experience at this café. When I politely asked a question in English, the woman at the counter flat-out ignored me and my husband and literally no answer, no effort, nothing. Just a rude attitude then she spoke in Italian which I didn’t even understand. Moments later, she served another customer in Italian with a big smile and full attention. For a café inside an international airport, this is completely unacceptable. Basic courtesy should not depend on which language you speak. I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. Definitely avoid this place if you expect fair treatment and even the slightest bit of professionalism.

actually the service was super nice, an energetic lady who didn’t understand much English but I succeded to communicate what I’d like. Love the vegan pastry!!

I’m entitled to a food voucher due to severe delay. However, the staff refused to accept my voucher. After I paid and noticed that the voucher is unused, I asked him and the second staff told him that he should accept the voucher. Then he was like: So what do you want now!? I give you another what you paid for? Why do I need same stuff for twice? Especially when it tasted horrible. It’s a complete extortion.

I had an awful experience at this coffee shop. I was handed a receipt and didn’t realise you had to give it back in as never experienced this during my two weeks in Italy, so and put it in the bin. I explained what happened and The cashier confirmed I paid and a barista made the coffee but a third ‘woman’ refused to give it unless I fished it out of the bottom of the bin. The other staff laughing and this third woman screaming at todays entertainment of the stupid tourists. I have never ever experienced rudeness and humiliation like from these people. Please save yourself an awful experience and go elsewhere no coffee is worth this treatment to another a fella human even if they don’t understand your ‘system’.

Would have given them 0 stars if possible. Ordered an Aloha poke bowl and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever eaten. The rice was in cubes like it’s just been taken up from the refrigerator, the tuna was mushy and not in nice dices as shown in the picture. The edame beans were frozen dry. Don’t eat poke here! One bowl costed 16€.

We had 4 poke bowls more like puke bowls with different option and food is horrible. Pls avoid eating here , they gave uncooked rice and not fresh fruits. I can’t understand how simple basic dish can be so messed up . Wasted €66 here. Pics attached of rotten mango

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Check out my pictures - expectations vs reality. We ordered a panini, and instead got a burnt and fried ham with dry and disgusting bread. We ended up just throwing our food out. The prices are outrageous too. Pls don’t let them steal your money…😭

The salmon bagel I had was amazing, but very expensive for what it was! The iced cappuccino barely fit the cup it was so little, but wasn’t very expensive, not really a proper iced coffee though, not the same as Starbucks!

Scammers, after telling us the price of two red bulls (10€) we said we changed our minds. The cashier told us we have to pay anyway because she already printed the receipt. When I pointed out that the receipt was not printed yet and the order could have been cancelled she proceeded to hit confirm and print the receipt. Greedy company, and greedy owners forcing their workers to scam people. Disgusting do yourself a favour. Do not shop them and let them close forever. Every year their price goes up by 20%. Also the food quality is poor and two day old with flies crawling all over it.

A muffin for sure aged for 5 days, hard as a rock. Worst I have ever had. Stopped after a bite. Service poor, needs training a lot! Only positive aspect was the sandwich, not bad.

Rudeness, indecency and aggressive behaviour from the short red hair lady at the counter. No idea of customer care whatsoever. Strongly racist bias towards black people sat next by because they occupied part of the corridor, she started screaming at them whereas the white ladies occupying the same corridor with immense bulky luggage were left alone. I was instead rudely asked to leave immediately by vehemently tapping my table 3 times with her palm, because I was working on my pc after my coffee and juice and that was apparently not allowed (!!). Of course other people occupying seats after food and drink were left alone, maybe because they were chatting whereas I had a laptop open?! Never EVER experienced any treatment like this anywhere before.

The yoghurt and nuts package had expired 2 days back and was smelling aweful. The old lady on the tills dint understand that she was selling an expired stock to me. So pathetic experience.

The waitress was rude. I had bought a meal and was talking to my friend after finishing it and she wanted us to leave. I wouldn't recommend eating there, for the prices they charge the food wasn't good and a total lack of courtesy.

All the advertised juices were not available so you'll have to get the pricier 'centrifugued' option but without the mint or berries today = an apple juice for €5.50 !!!

A truly wonderful dining experience! Osteria della Dogana is a cozy and charming spot that delivers both flavor and warmth. We ordered the shrimp and octopus pasta, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh seafood, perfectly cooked pasta, and rich, balanced flavors that left us speechless. The casoncelli was another highlight—tender, flavorful, and clearly homemade, with that comforting taste you only get from traditional recipes. To accompany the meal, we had their homemade wine, which was smooth, well-rounded, and surprisingly good—it paired beautifully with everything we ate. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making us feel like we were enjoying a meal at a friend’s home. And then came the tiramisu—wow! It was creamy, light, and had that unmistakable homemade touch. Possibly one of the best tiramisus we’ve had in Italy. Not too sweet, just perfectly balanced. I had an incredible experience here! It was my first time trying lobster, and not only was it absolutely delicious — so tender and full of flavor — but I also had so much fun cracking it open myself. The pasta was outstanding, perfectly cooked and rich in taste, and the drinks were super refreshing. If you love fish and seafood, this is the place for you. We were looking for a place to have dinner on Sunday evening. We found osteria Dogana on the Google maps and just went for it. And it was a great experience! The menu was mostly based on sea food specialties. But they made carbonara for our kids, and truffle pasta for my wife. I had sea food spaghetti. Service was top notch with human touch. It felt personal and friendly, far above pure professionalism. The food was DELICIOUS. While we were waiting for the food, they brought us hot focaccia bread, just because. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will enjoy great hospitality, delicious food and pleasant ambience. All at very reasonable prices.

Immaculate service and delicious food. Had a very nice experience, the waiters are the nicest and amazingly skilled people, they always make sure their table enters, stays and leaves happy. The menu is in Italian only, but the lovely waiters will explain anything you need. The food is to die for, undoubtedly the best meal I've had my whole life. The pasta was creamy and extremely flavorful and the seafood was prepared perfectly. For the service and food we got, the place isn't even on the pricey side - 18-25€ per person for such an experience is an absolute dream come true.

We came to Bergamo from Milan by train and we walked straight to this restaurant because of its high reviews. It was a bit far from the train station, but let me tell you: it was totally worth it! The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Despite being a bit busy, (I suppose all the locals come here for lunch) the staff chatted with us here and there. Oh and the dessert!! Do try out their desert!! The tiramisu was really good!! Thank you for the delicious experience :)

We visited this restaurant by Joys B&B recommendation, and I ate here the best dorado in all of Italy. The service was great even if we did not have a reservation, and all the food was delicious. The only irritant was the crying child at a big table but what can you do. Congratulations to the Albanians for mastering the Italian cuisine and lifestyle!

You can buy whole pizza for the price of 35e and you can choose every slice differently if you want. We ate here twice on our 3 days trip in Bergamo and the second time they gave us one extra slice for free! Kindly recommend!!

Holy smoke of a pizza. Very local and very busy. I haven’t seen one tourist for the time I was here. The wood oven baked pizza was super delicious, with thick soft crust but slight crunchy burnt bottom. Staffs were super friendly. This is my last meal in Italy before I go back to Canada. I will be back!

This place is bustling during dinner time with everyone waiting to pickup their slice which makes it only downside, the wait.... But it's worth it! Great delicious pizza here. For 5 euro you get a big thick delicious slice. They are very efficient by cooking different pizzas on the same pot and using only one size so they quickly prepare them and cut in slices. It’s very busy in the evening.

Desperately looking for food, almost any food, in Bergamo in a late Wednesday night, this place was still open and served us the best pizzas in our six day trip in Italy! Our first meal in Italy while on vacation, just after flying into Bergamo and picking up our rental car. Couldn't have asked for a better welcome! The food was absolutely delicious and set our expectations super high for the rest of the trip. Only later did we discover that not everywhere was as fantastic as this place. LoL So props to Portofino for being delicious, priced well, and being the perfect welcome to Italy. Don't bother with the touristy places, this is where the best food is.

The hotel is really nice, especially for the price. There were some issues with the bathroom, and the blinds didn't close properly, but overall everything's pretty good for the price. The location is a bit far from the bus stop, but still a walkable distance. The restaurant is really good, they have a good selection of traditional and gourmet pizzas, as well as some other items on the menu.

The place was nice and the food was quite okay, but the service was awful. The Italian waiters (clearly remember his name was Enzo) was super rude. He just literally tossed the menu on our table and continuosly made grinning faces. The tone he answed was humiliating we were about to leave the place. The best decision they could make that Indian waiters started to serve us who were nicer so we stayed. The Italian staff however would deserve a nice fire, shame on them.

I went two days ago to have a schiaccia with my wife. After 2 hours we started vomiting and going to the toilet no stop. Still now, after 2 days of struggling, we are having huge problems. If you want something very Italian that is not pizza then La Piadella is a great choice. A very small place with only a few seating areas offering the best snack/lunch option. You can make your own Piada or you can choose from the large selection that is on the menu. The prices are ok and the service is very smiley and open. Everything is freshly made.

Perfect for a lighter bite, the bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with super tasty ingredients. The cashier was really helpful, and this has been over of my favourite street foods in Italy.

We went Rookie expecting to have good burgers as the review says. I paid 6 euros for a chicken burger only and had a burned brown fried chicken patty which was obviosly the frozen patty. It was worse than Macdonald burger. Surprisingly, there were no vegetables like tomato which is the basic ingredient for burger but lettuce. I don't know if the cook forgot to put it in the chicken burger since we had tomato in the hamburger but not in the chicken burger. The hamburger was okay and it seems like the patty of hamburger looks more proper than that of chicken burger. But the potato in the set menu was half fried.... I even couldn't finish the hamburger... There are so many good places where you can have better meals with same price here and I really regret that I choose this burger place for a change.

After eating really well, I paid like less than 20€, for everything. Unexpected place in the city. It has a great potential but unfortunately what I asked was really below even my lower expectation. The frappuccino I asked was basically a cold cappuccino with cream on top. No way. On the other side, cookies were good and the girl working there was very kind and smiling, despite my screaming 1 year old kid. That was the reason for 3 stars, otherwise it will be just 2.

First of all, the guys were really great! We ordered one beer, but got two by mistake, and they just let us have the one extra for free. The burger bun was a bit dry, but bread in Italia is nit the greatest in general. Otherwise, it was quite tasty. I had some loaded nachos and it was really nice that they came with guacamole and salsa as well, besides the cheese and fried bacon. They have a little terrace where you can sit and eat. Very fun experience!

Ordered the wave with fries, mayo and a beer… the burger was decent, the fries between decent and good. The beer was not something I would recommend. Not bad per se, just bland The staff was nice (and spoke English), but this was just a busy day and I was yet another customer.. business was conducted in a friendly manner, but nothing special Perhaps that’s the Aussie way: nothing special, but decent and it fulfilled the purpose of a quick bite 😊
