The steak and fish were wonderful! The staff were super friendly, and the place was very clean and professional. I had a great time, and enjoyed the wonderful foods!
Autumn M — Google review
Had the coconut cheesecake here years ago and went back recently for lunch. Hands down the best food I had in Tobago, and the cheesecake still ranks as my #1. Service and ambience is excellent.
Anessa D — Google review
We enjoyed out night here. The food is top tier and worthy of prestigious food awards. For appetizers we had callaloo soup & jerk fish with plantains. Main courses were the Barrel eye fish with creole sauce and Barracuda fish with butter & garlic sauce. Both served with ochra rice and seasonal vegetables. For dessert we shared cheese caked topped with coconut flakes...yum. The portions were more than enough. $200 US for a party of 3 that also includes drinks. 2/3 had Stag Beers while the other opted for juice. Our host of the night who we believe to be the owner (we didn't ask) was attentive and very pleasant. She was also accommodating and entertaining. That same energy was shared with other guests as well. We shall return.

The food was excellent, fresh, and well-prepared. The service was good, and the lovely veranda provided welcome respite from the afternoon sun. We will definitely return.

Our last lunch in Tobago at The Fish Pot was the perfect send-off! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the first bite of their freshly prepared hamburgers, we knew we were in for something special. The fish with pasta, topped with an unforgettable alfredo sauce, was a highlight – genuinely a "best I've tasted" moment. The service was a joy, attentive without being intrusive, and the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere, enhanced by the gentle sea breeze, made for an idyllic lunch setting. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a meal at The Fish Pot; it's a must-try for both lunch and dinner!

I had such a wonderful lunch with my husband. Customer service was top notch. It was spotlessly clean and well aerated , with a pleasant view. Staff came on to check on us if we needed anything. The food was well presented and delicious . Highly recommend this place.

Excellent food, my wife and I came here based off of a recommendation from my sister. I had the barracuda & my wife had the steak. Hands down some of the best food in Tobago.

Normally Monday's are hard to find somewhere to celebrate a birthday as most places are closed. So it was a blessing that they were open and ready. Opening on a Monday also means that there weren't a lot of people, so we probably got a more personalized experience with little to no delays. We weren't sure of what to expect so we got the servers recommendations. I had the lamb and my birthday date had the pork chop. The lamb was cooked perfectly medium-well as I requested, the veggies were cooked yet crunchy and the mash was creamy and smooth. Tamarind wine sauce was just succulent. My date loved the pork chop, it was fully cooked and juicy. She wasn't a fan of the large cut veggies, but she loved the roasted cassava and whatever white sauce they added. We weren't in a alcohol mood so we got 2 virgin passion fruit & lychee mojitos. They were sweet and tangy. We still had some room after dinner so we got the house recommended dessert, passion fruit cheesecake with berries. We were amazed at how delicious this was and loved it. All in all, I will definitely be back for a full dinner course sometime soon.
DJ S — Google review
The experience was a letdown from start to finish. This spot sits on a lively strip with plenty of solid options, and we chose it because it looked slightly less busy, which turned out to be the warning we missed. Staff were curt and disengaged, bordering on rude, and service felt like an afterthought. Four cocktails took more than 40 minutes to arrive. When they finally showed up, they came in plastic cups because last call was announced after we had already ordered. The drinks were mediocre and overpriced. The bill arrived long before the cocktails. The bar was far from full, there were plenty of staff standing around, and the level of attention would be unacceptable even at a fast-food counter. Save your time and money and pick literally anywhere else on this strip; this place has earned a hard pass. TL;DR: Overpriced, mediocre drinks, dismal service. Choose another venue on the strip.
Coach B — Google review
I went with a party of 12 for their pre fixe Christmas dinner. Service was great, waiters and waitresses were kind, could be a little more attentive in some instances. The alcoholic drinks were good, but one person ordered the passion fruit juice and it tasted like flavoured water. The sorrel spritzer that came with the menu, also was also water down. Couldn’t taste the sorrel nor the alcohol that was in it, too much ice. The food was okay, to start I had the salad which tasted great with the candied dates and walnuts but the other appetizers like the chicken liver pate - did not taste anything like liver and the green pea lentil soup - was too thick and a bit cold when served. The main that I had was the brown sugar glazed ham and potatoes au gratin with vegetables. Ham and potatoes were perfect but the veggies were very undercooked, including the zucchini, broccolini and peppers - maybe this was the idea for it but it didn’t pair well with the other items on the plate. Dessert was as expected, perfect end of the dinner. I got the chocolate mousse with buttercream. (I think it was butter scotch? I can’t remember) I also had an amaretto sour which was mixed well, drank that throughout my meal. 8/10 recommend for the Christmas menu, cannot comment on their regular menu items.
Aurelia S — Google review
Talk about up to the times with the decor! Chaud Cafe had the scene set for the holiday with themed drinks and menu items to match. Even the washrooms, pristine and ckassy, were a vibe. Staff were so eager to please there were a few crossed lines but ultimately sorted quickly. We weren't able to enjoy the wide outside deck but they even maneuvered the inside space, made cosy due to rainy weather and a healthy number of diners. I loved that the menu was full of Caribbean flavours and favs and dishes did not take forever to arrive. A lottle pricy but altogether a lovely experience.
Lucian F — Google review
The food at Chaud is always amazing, and the portion sizes are more than adequate. I would highly recommend the pasta as well as the wings, which paired superbly with the blue cheese. There is also a decent drinks selection. However, desserts are a bit limited.
Paul B — Google review
Celebrated my friends bday here. Our entrees were plentiful & delicious. A few times, we had to get the attention of the wait staff or make a request for the same thing more than once. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
Danielle — Google review
Friendly (but slow) service and good ambience. However, almost everyone's food arrived cold and everything tasted average. The chocolate cake is supposed to be excellent, but it wasn't available that day.

Italian restaurant
Wine store
La Tartaruga is a top-notch Italian restaurant in Tobago, known for its homage to the leatherback turtles that visit nearby shores. The menu offers a wide range of Italian cuisine, including fresh seafood, homemade pasta, vegetarian options, and an impressive selection of Italian wines. Chef Gabriele De Gaetano's passion for food shines through in his dishes. The restaurant boasts a warm and intimate atmosphere perfect for couples and an extensive wine list curated by the chef himself.
The location is outstanding in Buccoo Bay. The ambiance was inviting and warm. The staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodated my restrictive diet. The food was fresh and just the right amount. The veggies and fish are sourced locally and the pasta ingredients come from Italy, as they should. The owner was super friendly and loved greeting his guests.
Gillian S — Google review
Great experience. Friendly staff. Came for lunch with a party of four but could not stay as one of the party was feeling ill. The staff was so considerate and understanding. Packed up the lunch for us to go. Had been a birthday celebration and they put up a happy birthday banner. Was so impressed came back that same day for dinner.
Christopher B — Google review
Tucked right next to Buccoo Boardwalk, La Tartaruga is a charming little gem offering a truly authentic Italian dining experience. The ambiance is warm, rustic, and homely, with wooden interiors, a cozy wine display, and a bar stocked with an excellent selection of spirits. The open-air setting flows seamlessly into the lush outdoor greenery, giving diners a breezy, relaxed island feel while still maintaining a touch of European elegance. When it comes to the food, La Tartaruga delivers authenticity. The appetizers were a highlight, rating a solid 9/10 for flavor and presentation. The mains—both lunch and dinner—were hearty and satisfying, though leaning slightly more towards a 7/10, perhaps reflecting my personal bias toward stronger Trinidadian flavors. Still, the quality and authenticity were undeniable. The drinks menu, particularly the wine selection, is impressive. The curated list complements the food beautifully and adds a touch of sophistication that elevates the dining experience. Overall: La Tartaruga blends Italian authenticity with Caribbean charm. It’s a place where you can enjoy excellent wine, great food, and a laid-back yet refined atmosphere. While some mains may not have the boldness I’m used to from local cuisine, it remains a must-visit restaurant in Tobago for both visitors and locals seeking a taste of Italy. ⭐ Appetizers: 9/10 ⭐ Mains: 7/10 ⭐ Drinks/Wine: 9/10 ⭐ Ambiance: 9/10 ⭐ Desert: 6/10 📍 Verdict: Good food, excellent wines, wonderful setting – highly recommended
Adrian A — Google review
Did a wine tasting session here and there are no words. The wine was immaculate but the entire experience from start to end is a must-see and must-try for anyone visiting Tobago. This is what a taste of Italy feels like and the food, simple plates to go with each round of wine, was delicious 😋 I'll be visiting this restaurant whenever I am in Buccoo Tobago. It cannot and will not be a one and done. Too too good 😩😩😁
Khadine D — Google review
Our reservation was made to have lunch and the food was good, very tasty (Penne Alfredo and Penne Bolognese) and it was served at an optimal temperature (warm to - hot). Our wait time was about 8 minutes. In terms of drink, our waitress helped us through the selection and even allowed us to sample the wine of choice. Neither person at the table is a fan of red wine but the chosen wine was delectable and enjoyable. Can't remember exactly which wine it was but it was in the "By the Glass" section of the menu and I'm sure the waitress can guide you to a selection. Also, our waitress was respectful, kind, courteous and helpful, really cementing the experience as a class action in first experiences. P. S. The website has almost all the information and allows for booking via phone or WhatsApp, highly recommend you check it out before reserving or walking in. Additionally, the boardwalk as well as the ILoveBuccoo sign is in close proximity to the restaurant making for a scenic view of the greater Buccoo beach area. However, at the time we came for lunch some light maintenance being done around the restaurant and the sound of drilling not to far from our table often disrupted conversations. "But besides that everything was perfect, I loved it."
Jaden N — Google review
Nice Italian restaurant with good service, ambience and a decent wine list. We ordered the tomino grigliano, chicken alfredo, spinach cannelloni, and a tiramisu and enjoyed it all. We had bellinis to start and then a couple of herb teas at the end of the meal. Would recommend
Shad — Google review
The main course was delicious. But desert portions are definitely on the smaller side they were tiny with HUGE prices for teeny weeny portions, my desert was 75TTs and I got a singular scoop of icecream (without the normal extra half-ish scoop which hangs off the icecream scoop) 5 marshmallows (the tiny ones) and 2 oreos. Personally this was more toddler friendly than 5,7 sized. If you want to ask “is this it??? whilst crying” for desert then yes doo go. But if you’re looking for something on the smaller portioned size then the food would suit you as it was nice. It’s probably a me thing, I just like more than 3 mouthfuls of pudding.

Delicious food, friendly and good service, beautiful decor. Ordered the fried shrimps wrapped in coconut flakes which were tasty and fresh. The saltfish accra went marvelously with the killer spicy sauce. The vibrant and colorful decoration projected a nice Caribbean vibe enhancing the appetite. Great dinner experience
CK C — Google review
The most wonderful moment I experienced in this place was the great atmosphere and scenery created. Gives you a euphoric sensation before having the food. It’s almost like a home. The food was really wonderful and very tasty. I was yearning to try a creole cuisine and this was definitely the right place. I had the oxtail dish together with some rice. The coconut bread which was brought as a starter was remarkably good; fresh bread. The service was great. The waitress who served me was good. Also there was an old lady who seemed to be running things there, she was very amiable and pleasant to talk with. If you are a visitor and you want to explore local Trinidad food, this is the right place. I would like to thank the owner of Veni Mange for creating this wonderful place to dine, it will forever be nostalgic to me.

We had a wonderful time here! One of the highlights of our trip. Dale and the staff were very welcoming and the food was phenomenal. Make sure you try the oxtail and the pig feet!

Haven't been here? What are you waiting for! This is single handedly the only local restaurant worth going to get that authentic Trinidadian food, everything else is mainly street food In Port of Spain.

Amazing food! It hit de spot! The bhaji is the best I've eaten.

I read so many good things about the place, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations after having read all those reviews. Food is basic, a little bland. The corn soup tasted more like yams soup. Poeple were very friendly and happy to help.

This must be my 3rd or 4th visit to this beautiful established restaurant on Ariapita Avenue the hub of the nightlife of Port of Spain ☺️ The food is always delicious and plentiful 😋and that's what makes it a staple, stable, inviting place in the country. The decor is beautiful ❤️ with original paintings from local artists adorning the walls.👏💪☺️

This is great restaurant with exzotic dishes love the taste and the presentation of the dishes. Why I give a (4) star rating because the order took to long to reach our table, beyond that great service and top of the line staff servicing to customer. Pricing of the food is very reasonable and I will be visiting this place often. It is definitely a place you want to visit once you in port of Spain.

We were running late for our reservation, but the hostess was very accommodating. The restaurant is tucked away long the savannah, so you're not bothered by passing traffic. The food was delish and more than enough. It may have been a slow night but the wait staff was very present, one of the owners even came to our table to check on the service and suggest wine pairing. While on the pricey side, its well worth it!

The Breakfast Shed is a hidden gem located at the International Waterfront Centre in Port of Spain. Despite its name, it's not just for breakfast - visitors can enjoy local delicacies like smoked herring, fried or roasted bake, corn soup, stewed chicken, and provisions for lunch and dinner as well. This spot offers perfect waterfront views while indulging in Trinidadian cuisine. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists to gather throughout the day.
Perfect outdoor eating space. There are plenty of very large benches you can sit and enjoy your food, as well as concrete seated tables with umbrellas. The ladies serving your food feel like home. It was lovely. You get a beautiful view of the sea as you're right next to it. It's also a great place to pass the time whilst you wait for your ferry. It's a 5 minute walk to the ferry port from this location. There's also a bar you can purchase cold beverages from, and you're kept entertained with music played by a large speaker.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience in Trinidad, look no further than Patraj Roti Shop. Loveeeee their vegi combo and chicken roti. Their dhalpurie and buss up shot was delicious and silky. Their sides are quite satisfying and savoury delicious with every bite😍.

Pat Raj roti shop on Tragarette road is the place i will go for my roti in Port Of Spain, the place is clean staff friendly and the roti is tasty, one thing tho, I keep forgetting to ask them if they put pepper in their dhalpuri, when I say no pepperr still get a little spicy taste?,
E S — Google review
The food is decent...some days better than others. Don't like when the servers touch my roti with there bare hands. Why can't they wear plastic gloves and not touch other surfaces before touching my roti?? Why do they keep the roti under the counter. Why not keep it out in the open where people can see what's going on? The place has a dark dungeon like feel. Add more lights and brighter colors please. Finally, as beautiful as the cashier is, why does she feel the need to match that with equal levels of unfriendlyness??? She does not respond to hellos nor good afternoons. No smile. She just there to take your money and move you along. As the face of the business, she needs to do better.
Steve J — Google review
If you're looking for that authentic village parlor experience then look no further. Despite the decor and layout being a bit more modern than the average roti shop, they've managed to recapture the authenticity of a rustic roti shop. Unfortunately I prefer a nicer customer service experience than the one provided which is half the reason my rating is so low.. The food was once the best roti in the area but recently the quality has slipped down a few notches, though they are still way better than Hot Shoppe. I look forward to Patraj Roti shop returning to its former glory someday...

I had a goat roti with paratha and pumpkin and bhagi (spinach). Absolutely tasteless. Inside has a gloomy dark feel which isn't very inviting and staff isn't particularly welcoming. The paratha was chunk as well and not very soft.

Been going here for years. The quality has dropped significantly last couple times I've been. It has become really overpriced and they always don't have something. The staff were also very rude and not pleasant at all, its like they recruiting in pennywise and I think other people have caught on as well it was empty last time I went and it was lunchtime. On my second visit, I was very impressed with the service I received. The girl behind the counter saw that the foil got messy after she rolled the wrap and immediately replaced it with a clean one. She also was good enough to offer me a complimentary drink because I had been waiting a while. I really was very impressed with the service and the food was great. It is things like this that encourages repeat customers and people spread the word of good places. And bonus, the food is healthy. I will definitely be visiting again! Please keep up the good work and excellent service.

Nestled along the main road to Pigeon Point Beach, The Pasta Gallery is a delightful little spot that truly shines with its generous portions of expertly crafted pasta dishes. A standout favorite is their spaghetti alla carbonara, which embodies comfort food at its finest. With a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of an intimate dinner party, this charming eatery features a few outdoor tables and just as many inside, making it feel warm and inviting.

La Cantina is a delightful eat-in and take-out pizzeria that promises to impress every guest with its casual dining experience. Nestled in the vibrant Crown Point strip, this charming spot offers over 30 varieties of authentic Italian pizzas, alongside fresh salads and paninis. Whether you're planning a family outing or a romantic evening with someone special, La Cantina sets the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Diners rave about the quality of their pizzas, which are crafted to perfection in traditional brick ovens.
Good pizza and good service. We ordered large mushroom and shrimp pizzas, both good. Would recommend.

Each time I visit Tobago I usually go eat at La Cantina. However this time I found the pizzas a bit tasteless. At least service was good and I was happy with my drinks. I got a Sorel Rhum Punch and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Until next time la Cantina.
Lawrence — Google review
Let's start by saying they have the Best Italian Pizzas by Far.... The restaurant can definitely do with some upgrade to uplift the Ambiance and their Service was extremely slow. Had to wait a little bit long for simple things like beers. But overall it's always a good experience at La Cantina Tobago.
Visham R — Google review
The food and service is always exceptional when I go to la cantina. However the outdoor section comes with tiny friends that buzz around your food and tried to suck your blood. From mosquitoes, moths to flies. They had it. Next time I am walking with my bug repellant. The food was soooooo great I didn't even get a chance to take a pic. I just snapped the drinks.

It was my first time visiting Tobago with my partner, and we decided to stop by La Cantina — and honestly, I was amazed! From start to finish, it was a 10/10 experience. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, each one full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff were some of the friendliest I’ve ever met — so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. I truly believe the gentleman who attended to us was the manager, and if so, he’s doing an excellent job. His professionalism and warmth made the whole dining experience unforgettable. I’d recommend La Cantina to anyone visiting Tobago — it’s one of those places that leaves you smiling long after you’ve left. I was wowed, and I can’t wait to go back! 💕🍕🌴
Flowers.In.a T — Google review
La Cantina has a nice and casual ambiance and friendly staff, but I found the pizza to be just average. The ingredients seemed okay, but the flavor and texture didn’t quite stand out compared to other places. Ingredients a bit sparse. It's a decent spot if you’re in the area. Parking is available, and there are outdoor and indoor dining options
NirzVlogs — Google review
Service and pizza quality have definitely dropped since management change. The best pizza in Tobago still. Would recommend but it's not as it used to be long ago.

Wanted a milkshake and La Cantina came up as an option in the Store Bay area (Cones and Coffee was closed..). Can't rate their pizza even though that's their main offering, but milkshake was a disappointment. Too watery to be considered an ice cream based product. Chocolate tasted okay, but Papa Smurf you definitely can skip...

The Pasta Gallery Tobago is a charming restaurant located on Pigeon Point Road, close to popular beaches and hotels in Crown Point. The cozy eatery offers a trendy atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, creating an intimate dining experience. The menu features hearty portions of well-prepared pasta dishes, including favorites like spaghetti alla carbonara and classic spaghetti Bolognese. In addition to the delicious food, the restaurant also showcases local art pieces that are available for purchase.
I m a first time visitor to Pasta Gallery! I cannot express the warmth of this place. The customer service is beyond exceptional! The food is beyond tasty and the portion size is exceptional. They VALUE QUALITY! A Watermelon punch was made for me in which I had one sip. Before I could even assess it, a polite , well mannered waiter came to tell me that it was tested and not up to par. They made another one which was so rich! I couldnt believe the degree of quality control! The food is reasonably priced and certainly a restaurant to visit by everyone!

The pasta sizes here are enormous! I feel like I've been robbed at local Trinidad restaurants for ever after visiting this place. There are options on the menu that do not come with a higher price with a different meat - if it's fettuccine, the shrimp or chicken option is the same cost. I went in for the dining experience but had to leave by the time my order arrived so I took it to go. The experience was cut short but the food was still good.

Superb first time experience at this quaint yet elegant eatery for the first night of my Tobago vacation . Located conveniently along the Pigeon point road . ( Beautiful eye catching art that captures local vibrant colors work is a must see ) . On a Mondays they are also open when I had done a beach excursion and needed to have dinner when most places were closed , they came to the rescue ! Delightful wait staff , very professional! Food of course was delicious and filling !!! The eggplant Parmesan starter is a must . I can’t wait to return . Prices are very good too

Cute, delicious, friendly service. My only issue was the time it took to get our main dishes. I imagine that the pasta is fresh, which is why it took so long? The food was worth the wait. We got the bruschetta and side salad to start, all very good. A tad salty for the bruschetta. We ordered a half portion of fettuccine Alfredo, and it was a generous size for an adult. My child loved it and said it was "the best pasta ever". We ordered the ravioli special. We chose white sauce and got extra red sauce on the side to make a rose sauce. This was so good. You could taste the freshness of all the ingredients and pasta. I would come back to try another pasta dish. Yum!
Farhana A — Google review
Food is good and everything only disappointment is the servings of meats for the money spent, imagine spending $70 for a half shrimp alfredo to only receive five(5) small sized shrimp like you paying for macaroni alone, have to do better with shrimp meals for the cost, otherwise food satisfaction is good.
Kristen F — Google review
Really cute restaurant concept and excellent pasta. My party and I enjoyed our meals here and the option of gluten free pasta. The food portions are generous and it didn’t take too long to be served. I would just recommend that they add more dairy-free options to the menu, but adjustments can currently be made to some of the dishes to accommodate that.

Rooms seems more old than rustic. Originally given a room that was clearly not cleaned, upon sharing with the front desk, another room was provided, which was not properly cleaned(room bin and bathroom bin was not emptied) Service gets a 4 because they were friendly and attempted to remedy the issue, critique falls on the cleaning staff. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and wait staff were very professional.
Abdalla E — Google review
So, I saw some bad reviews on here after the fact that I booked a couple of nights. I was very skeptical. But honestly it wasn't as bad as said reviews. The hotel does need a little face-lift being that it is a little old. Now the only thing that set me off was the breakfast and misinformation from the staff about said breakfast. Buffet breakfast is buffet breakfast. It's better I went out to rituals and gotten a coffee and a patty instead of the breakfast here, they needed to do better. With that it's not bad at all.
Kordell R — Google review
If you take if for what it is you'll be pleased, however if you go expecting a 5 star hotel you'll be disappointed. I stayed for my birthday during their monthly specials rate so I didn't go expecting much. The rooms are a bit dated, there were no lunch options which was disappointing as there is a restaurant on the compound. The breakfast time frame was from 7am -9am( which could be adjusted in my opinion) and it was a basic us breakfast eegs toast and bacon. There was absolutely no room service until late Saturday evening and we checked in a Friday and left Sunday morning. The staff we met the Sunday was friendly and helpful and overall it was a basic experience.

Stayed here for Carnival 2024. Pool area was nice Food was good - we had complimentary breakfast included with our room. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Now to the room... Very disappointed the our room. No minifridge, A/C soaked my clothes, no to lukewarm hot water. Our room was nothing like what you see in pictures online. It was just 4 beds and a chest of drawers. We had to ask for chairs for the balcony. No TV, no mirror, no fridge like I said. No closet. We had to ask for a cooler box with ice. Owner tried to relay through staff that this is what you get for carnival week. Also "Normandie under the trees" that venue was right outside our room. There were several events held there and the gave us comps for two people. We were a room of four. Absolutely disappointing.
Kamiel S — Google review
Now I always give fair reviews and most times excellent reviews, but I am so disappointed right now. I have a friend who book with this establishment for carnival 2026, she made a down payment and so far paid 1800.00US, I recommend this hotel cause my sister use to work there in the past and I liked it, this is my friend first time in Trinidad and playing mas, however she had to cancel, she cancelled in may 2025, nine months before carnival, cause her father died and it’s hard on their mom, she spoke with Donna, the manager, and she said she can’t get her money back, ok, mind u it’s not a month before carnival, this is nine months and still in 2025. She send a text stating that she will like the payment she made go to my account, she is still waiting on a response 2 weeks now, so my friend money just lost or pocketed, I find that is wrong, ppl are working hard for there money and to treat ppl like this is so wrong. I myself booked a room and is going for carnival, but wow. Ppl money has value wherever we are in the world. Trinidad hotels and etc is already over priced y treat ppl like this.

Rooms: The rooms we were given were ridiculous. We had semi fogged windows in the shower 2 feet from the ground and up. It was so bad that we needed to shove towels to cover the window because we all were uncomfortable. Lighting was bad, we had windows in the doors as well letting in all of the hallway light therefore resulting in bad sleeping. We had to put the ironing board in front of the door. The beds were uncomfortable and crappy (we could feel the springs through the sheets). Worst problem was that we did not have water for half of the time we were staying at the Normandie. It was either Dark Brown or no water at all. We could not take showers a couple of the nights because of it and it caused a big problem with stinky toilets and having to change a baby's diaper without water. Service: Front desk: The guy at the front desk was giving my father issues when he was trying to get at least one room with water (rummers were going around that there was waters in most of the ground floor rooms, we were on the third floor). Eventually we got one room on the ground floor which barely had a trickle (not enough to shower in though). Breakfast attendant: This place was so under staffed that they only had one lady serving 10-15 people breakfast (Cleaning, seating, cooking, serving, etc.). Food was not the best (first day: Plain omelet with no cheese, toast, and 1 tiny packet of jam. Second day: 1 scrambled egg, toast, and 1 tiny packet of jam and butter. All said and done, none of my family, friends, or relatives will ever be coming to this hotel again. We can get something cheaper and much better somewhere else. NOTE: When they say that breakfast is Complementary, they are lying. They Charged my grandmother $600 US Dollars extra for breakfast to barely feed 10 people with the above scarce meals.
Brendan K — Google review
This is my review 1. **Pool Condition**: The pool was in an unacceptable state. I noticed several areas where algae were visibly growing, and after entering the pool, I was extremely displeased by its condition. This is a serious hygiene concern that should not be overlooked. 2. **Room Curtains**: The curtains in my room had large amounts of visible mildew, which poses a significant health risk to guests. This is a major safety concern that requires immediate attention. 3. **Chairs**: The chairs in the room were rusted and not well-maintained. This not only creates an eyesore but also poses a risk of damage to clothing. It is disheartening to see such neglect in maintaining basic furniture. Additionally, the breakfast provided did not meet the expectations that were set by your representative over the phone. As a result, we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel again during our stay. This was very disappointing and added to the overall dissatisfaction with our experience. These conditions are entirely unacceptable for paying customers.

To the Owner of Hot Subs Trinidad I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring to your attention a recent experience I had during my interaction with one of the new staff members. Unfortunately, the response I received came across as unfriendly, and I found the tone to be somewhat unprofessional. I understand that transitions with new management and staff can be challenging, but I believe maintaining a respectful and welcoming atmosphere is crucial for effective communication. I wanted to provide this feedback in the hope that it can help improve interactions moving forward. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I’m happy to discuss it further if needed. Best regards, A loyal customer

Poor service. Woman preparing my salad took items off the counter and placed them back into the salad that she was preparing for me. When I exclaimed in horror, in anger she scolded me and discarded the salad and began preparing another salad this time omitting an item that I had paid for!

I would like to thank Westmalls Hot Subs employees. They are always kind, courteous, happy and helpful people but it was brought to another level for me a day. My experience was, i bought a container of feta cheese to put on my homemade spaghetti but only realized afterwards that the feta was spoiled which in turn spoiled my food; i went back to Hot Subs to let them know, while i was about to walk out, they said that they would give me back an entire spaghetti dish even though that is not what i bought. I was very much surprised by this. I have to say that i was very grateful and happy to see that good customer service exists in our society. But was even more taken aback when i was given an entire dish back and a sincere apology for what happened afterwards. The cashier ensured that she handed me a new lunch with a smile and some kinds words for me... Thank you so much Hot Subs.

Staff polite but reserved...no smile, no welcome to my establishment kind of vibe😐...It's can I take your order please and move on with it kind reception but not rude...Anyhow...how alyuh could not have mango anchar when I come for roti eh!☹️ Sigh! 😔 But kudos to the boneless chicken and the chef and staff behind the preparation it was delicious😋. Been going here since it opened many years ago and always defended it to the naysayers but no more. The actual roti is still silky and soft bit the curry has dropped drastically in quality. Seems a change to thr curry mixture used has been made and seasoning is a thing of thr past. Last week bpught both chicken and beef and tasted like meat boiled in curry water, pumpkin was watery and bland as was the potato. Everyone in the group complained and are now unwilling to try again.

Excellent experience at this airport location of Trinidad's OG fried chicken spot! Taste and portions were on point here and food was prepared well - did not need to wait long for my order either. Any time I come to Trinidad I always need to get my Royal Castle fix, so it's nice this airport location is still around and standards are held high here. They also have a full bar so it's a great spot to have a drink too! Don't forget to get a side or their pepper sauce!

This is really the only great independent food at this airport. The chicken burger I tried was remarkable and about as close to home made as you can get in fastfood

I had the crispy chicken sandwich. It came with ketchup and tartar sauce. The coating was not crispy at all. It was soggy and soft. The servers don't give out ketchup packets if you get ketchup on the sandwich. I realize they are trying to save a few cents, but they are sacrificing customer experience.

Quick. Hot. Fast. Chicken was crispy fresh and well seasoned. Not spicy and the green sauce was really good with it. Only thing is I don’t understand why fast food chicken establishments are changing the way chicken is meant to be served ie L&T not breast and leg. -_-

Needed something to eat b4 flying out. So had Royal castle, the last time was 4 years ago. They now do rotisserie chicken. I had the 2 piece snack box. They definitely have changed the recipe for the better. You can taste the seasoning so delicious. I didn't even need to use the hot sauce. After eating this I don't I can eat K fc again. Service was prompt. No eating in at the airport and you need to show that you are vaccinated. Remember the snack box does not come with a drink, you have to order one if you want a drink. The crinkle fries was lovely as well.

Only losses a star because of the location and parking. The building has only parking for 4 cars to be shared by 5 businesses. Best parking option for parking is to park at the nearby KFC or opposite building. There isn't really much place to sit and eat , just about a couple chairs , and the store area gets uncomfortably hot in a few minutes. Otherwise the food is stellar, the staff knows their craft and will advise you if you need help. The food is always hot and made by order. The fries and additional toppings are always more than adequate for the price. It is the best food to get when hungry or a little drunk.

Best food ever! Great food and choices. Lovely open seating and decent prices. You get a good portion size for the price. Worth the drive or easy if you're local. Close to the highway so easy to get to.
Dimples ( — Google review
My visit to Original Bar-B-Que Hut was a huge letdown. I ordered lamb and fries, but the portion was tiny for the steep price—barely a few bites! The included salad was pathetic, like something you’d feed a rabbit, and when I asked for extra fries instead, I was told the skimpy portion was all I’d get. While the food tasted good, it’s not worth the outrageous cost for such small servings. The service was slow and unhelpful, making it even worse. Other BBQ spots nearby offer tastier, larger meals for less. Skip this place it’s a rip off!

Meat was cold and although it was better than most, I didnt get a wawww factor from the food. Portions are good for the cost and tje sauces really gives fhe food an extra kick!

I remembered the Original Bar-B-Que Hut in La Romaine. Since it moved to Cipero Road, the location is ok for most part, execpt for the occasaional mid-day traffic. Prices went up since then, the service is always efficient but that spark, that omph, its no longer there. I am not sure what it is...☹️ The general area is always clean and tidy... Plenty parking and moderate seating available. But the washrooms can do with an upgrade and serious cleaning! 🤢

I'm sitting here and exceptionally pleased everything is great tasting and extremely freshly produced ,scrumptious tasty juice rate them full 💯

Yesterday I ordered bbq fish without fries and an additional side of potato salad..the bill was 85 tt, stunned I paid and left. The fish was clearly exposed to heat and cold as it was frost burned. Disappointed

Araby Ali's Doubles Ltd. is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Trinidadian street food, particularly their renowned doubles. This beloved snack features fluffy bara filled with curried vegetables or meats like goat and chicken, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Trinidad and Tobago. The establishment prides itself on its efficient and friendly service, making every visit enjoyable. Locals often line up early in the morning to savor these delicious treats, which are made with love and dedication from family recipes.
The doubles was sooo fluffy and nice and I is someone who like my pepper hot and lemme tell u, that pepper was pepperinggg...
Zahrah A — Google review
I believe ONE of the secrets to Ali's Doubles Barataria is family love and dedication. During the early dawn hours, it’s not unusual to see long line of cars parked along the southern side of Fifth Street #Barataria, between 8th and 9th Ave. In fact I’ve joined them many a time and the results is always trés yummy. The Ali’s name has been associated with doubles since being established in 1936, when members of the Ali and Emam-ul-Dean families wedded and from this union those family trades, one is in making a deliciously seasoned #Channa and the other in serving split-peas #Baras, also united into channa being served on a single bara together. This new dish was sold on bicycle, fitted with a tray for the box of goodies, mostly in South Trinidad, In later years many who came to purchase this wonderful fast food would ask the vendors to, “double it up” for them, so they would it like a sandwich, two baras with channa in between, causing this new twist to be called, “Doubles”. Araby Ali’s Doubles has always had a great appeal and has been feeding the nation everyday for THREE generations, over 50 years at that very spot at 71 Fifth Street, Barataria. His location even entered and won the National Doubles Competition in 1995. They now serve hot Doubles as well as various vegetarian and meat pies(potato, fish, chicken and beef), together with other Indian delicacies such as Sahena, which is available from Thursday to Sunday and you can also enjoy tasty #Pholorie, #Kachori and #Baiganee on Weekends. They open from 5 to 10am EVERY morning. I would suggest that anytime you’re in the area you check them out. Another #FoodieRunTTApproved venue. Images shot with my #SamsungGalaxyS10plus

Best doubles I have had, and Araby and his family are amazing hosts. Coming from Canada, I typically wouldn't have ventured too far from the norm but once I heard this family invented the doubles, I had to try them. And it was absolutely worth it.

Great service as always! I fell in love all over again with their Sahena Roll Up after not having it for 3 months. Very courteous and efficient call in order service.

Their Doubles was so soft and fluffy left me wanting more. The Bighan Pie was Chef's Kiss. A combination of crispy dough mixed with savory, sweet and spicy filling and dressing. So wished I ordered more. Great Customer service 👏🏾 and very orderly.
Anica L — Google review
I don't know if the owners of this establishment ever taste what they give out but this isn't it. I've lived close enough to see hordes of people lining up for this doubles only to be massively disappointed when I visited to taste them myself. This might really be an anomaly of getting customers based on what it used to be in the past or either hopes and dreams as I can only liken the taste to what you might expect a foreigner in canada to prepare for you. It tastes atrocious and is sadly one of the worst tasting doubles I've ever had thus far.
Marcus — Google review
Ali's comes from a very long tradition of " Doubles." They have been , in fact, associated with it's origins and ubiquity. The service is always efficient and friendly. Gourmet doubles, if it could be described that way, can find no better representative than this. Something else to note - The bara is especially fluffy and divine. As a visitor, I strongly recommend you start here first.

Pizza Boys is a must-visit for pizza lovers. The Trini pizza is particularly outstanding, featuring delicious flavors like bacon, pineapple, pepperoni, beef, and green peppers. The Maraval Branch offers great service with helpful guidance on available options and prompt delivery by friendly drivers. In addition to the fantastic pizzas, Pizza Boys also offers a nice selection of ingredients and combinations at convenient prices. Don't miss out on their delectable honey biscuits!
Very good customer service. The people here actually smiled genuinely with us. Friendly staff. Plenty parking, spacious and clean environment. Order received in a timely manner piping hot 🔥.

Ordered to pick up, they took my number but had the order sitting waiting, other than that my order tasted great and was piping hot.

The food is good esp church's new sandwiches. The serving staff are good and friendly but the cashiers are not as nice and can be seen as rude. A lot of room for customer service improvement and these restaurants have so much potential as the food itself is very good

If you like American Cheesy heavy pizza this place have. So pizza are tasty, but I do prefer more real italien style.
Renatus R — Google review
Average customer service, decent price and taste of Calzone was nothing special, baked fresh but no taste. The clientele of this place is "Laventille in Maraval".
R B — Google review
Maraval service has deteriorated to below lowest possible standard. The staff are rude and make errors. They have staff that can’t speak or understand English properly so make errors with orders as they can’t read the orders. My last order was 2 large bacon and pepperoni pizzas and they made 6 pizzas because again the person could understand English and on top of it had attitude. Then made it worse by taking a cheese pizza slapping on some pepperoni passing thru the oven and giving it to me as if to satisfy me. Deplorable. I will never go back there and I will tell all my friends of the service
Rhonda T — Google review
The Service here is horrible. I went here 3 times within the time frame of 1 week .My honest review is my 1st experience within this period my pizza took 1hr and 1/2 to get to me. 2nd experience the staff on shift tried their best to I received my pizza within 15minutes. 3rd experience which believe would be my last with this establishment half and hour to get a sandwich special. PIZZA BOYS MARAVAL IS NOT A PLACE I WOULD RECOMMEND.

I got the boneless chicken roti with potato and channa. I was a bit worried since they didn’t offer any toppings besides pepper. But it was so yummy and the dhal puri was really tasty on its own. I went a couple of hours prior to closing so many options were finished for the day, but what I had was so good. The wait was very long and slow but worth it. I’ll be back each time I visit.

The breakfast menu and Roti at Sylvie's are great. The space is small, so it is not a great dining option. The cashier usually takes the orders as well, she's forever talking and takes a bit long at times to get your order in. Additionally, the persons to whom this cashier knows she attends to their needs first even though you were there first. The other staff were friendly and professional.

If you're on the hunt for a delicious meal, Grill4U might just be your next culinary destination. Many first-time visitors have shared their experiences, highlighting the flavorful dishes that leave a lasting impression. While some have noted longer wait times and mixed interactions with staff, the overall consensus is that the food is well-seasoned and satisfying. Diners rave about options like lamb, loaded sweet potato fries, and BBQ chicken that stands out for its juiciness.
First visit and First time trying, EXCELLENT. Taste was great, portion was filling. I had Lamb, potato salad, loaded sweet potato fries (I added the Loaded part on my own accord) and got fresh salad. I only wish I had more meat on my lamb but it was well cooked and seasoned. Price is well matched to the portions so I was not too shocked. Will definitely be visiting again.

The first time I went, everything was good, really good. Today I went, I have an hour lunch, keep in mind that I tried calling about 5 times before I went, so that I can just pick up, i spent almost 30 mins there waiting on my food. I wasn't even given a fork to eat my food with, when I asked for one she replied "I'm waiting for my boss to bring forks" come on!!! If my workplace didn't have forks...was I suppose to eat with my hands at work??
Maya B — Google review
So tried this place for the first time yesterday and while I wasn't impressed by the wait time (however, I am unclear as to whether that had to do with ordering king fish; I'll give the benefit of the doubt) and downright INSULTED by the cashier (because offending patrons is always a good plan!)... I can't complain about my meal, everything about it was tasty. Got a meal for my coworker as well and she's all for trying their food again, so, I'm gonna gonna give them another go; update pending.
H. M — Google review
Decent food in the area. There is always a line but my order was placed in advance, and was ready for pick up when I went for it. The staff was nice based on the interaction I had but I've only gone once so far. The food was well seasoned, there's sauces you can choose from and the portion size is satisfactory. Wouldn't mind ordering from them again.
Ryan R — Google review
I'm here right now. I don't know what the hype is about. I just ordered sides and they taste awful. Sincerely I want my money back. Both sides tastes horrible. How can you miss with potato salad?? At the moment there is parking but most times there isn't. Well at least I hope the meats are tasty. Smh
Jessica F — Google review
This used to be my favorite grilled fast food place, today is the last day I will eat from here. The chunky veg was overcooked and hard simultaneously, the meat must have been from a pigeon and everything was bland. Customer service was non existent the cashier was slow and rude. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Food is very tasty and the bbq chicken isn't dry like most places. Question, do you guys sell Halal meats?

Nick's Bakes is a quick-service restaurant with efficient service and a clean indoor dining area, as well as a spacious outdoor dining space. The menu offers a variety of bakes with fillings ranging from cheese to lobster, allowing customers to customize their orders. The options include the Bake and Buljol, which can be enhanced with various sauces like tamarind, garlic pimento, and chandon beni.
Oh wow. Who needs to go to Marcus for shark and bake when Nick’s Bakes is here! We visited their establishment on a Monday night and was thrilled by the service and quality of product. The bake was pillowy, packed with shark and the other with shrimp. Our toppings were carrots, cabbage, lettuce, onions, pineapples and the famous tambariand sauce. Their vanilla bean frappe was totally amazing and a hit with the teens in the family, we also got a hot French vanilla latte. The gals were friendly and service was quick and excellent.

Extremely quick service , granted I was there on a Thursday so I'm not sure how it is other days but the service was so great, I bought Fish and fries and came with salad , very tasty, fries were cooked great and crispy , there were 7 different sauces to choose from so that was pretty great , very clean indoor , ac space and there is also a huge outdoor dining area if you choose! Pretty neat if you're in the Debe area for a quick bite.

First time visiting there.. Nice and spacious.. I had Shrimp and fries and fresh salad. Food was good.. However, the presentation needs to be desired..the salad was buried under everything else..and not accessible..then when I got to it after eating the rest.. It comprised of a majority of purple and green cabbage..one very thick slice of cucumber 🥒 and no lettuce.. There was a fly trapped under garlic sauce cover when seemed to be drowning in it.

Fantastic selection of bakes and fillings - everything from cheese to lobster., I loved that you can choose the type and then add the toppings of your choice. I had the Bake and Buljol, with tamarind, garlic pimento and chandon beni sauce. Well worth it!

So this was the first time going to this place . I called and ask opening time they said 10am. U reached let’s average 10:15 or after. Upon entering nobody asked if they cud of helped or be of service. They just stand there doing whatever. No morning nothing. Mind u no one else was there dining eh or not even a line. Ask what they had nothing yet . How long with it take for stuff to be ready not sure about 10 mins . Left and came back nothing was ready yet . After 11 and nothing was ready. Felt so uncomfortable with is service. Wanted to dine in but just left cause the energy was off. With costumer service like this how can someone enjoy the food even if it’s good.
