Nestled on the outskirts of Newport, the RSPB Newport Wetlands is a stunning nature reserve that spans approximately 100 square kilometers. This haven for wildlife boasts diverse habitats including wetlands, reedbeds, and estuaries, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching enthusiasts. Each year, around 100,000 visitors flock to this serene location to witness its rich biodiversity.
It's a great place for a walk, lots of gentle and flat trails to loop around in various ways. The visitor centre is immaculately maintained and staff are always friendly and helpful. The cafe has lovely views whether you sit inside or out. Bird feeders are well stocked with plenty of visitors and the noticeboard has all the wildlife recently spotted. Usk Lighthouse is photogenic and adds nice foreground interest to sunset photos. There are some bird hides you can find as well. All in all a lovely place to visit.

Great place for a walk, has options for shorter or longer trails to suit your needs and plenty of places to sit. Also lots for the children to explore. Cafe is fine for the basics you might need. Great value and good to visit all year round.

The Fourteen Locks Canal and Heritage Centre, located in Rogerstone, is a remarkable feat of engineering from the 18th century. This flight of 14 locks was constructed to overcome the challenging terrain and enable narrowboats to descend the hillside, facilitating the transportation of coal and other goods to Newport's docks for export. The site features ponds, sluices, and weirs that control the water supply, showcasing the ingenuity of canal engineering.
It's a lovely choice of walks and a lovely cafe that you can either sit in or takeaway. There is an information centre aswell. The car park is a pay and display at a reasonable price. Worth checking Fourteen locks out
Helen C — Google review
A nice outdoorsy area. The duck pond near the gift shop is nice. A nice hiking spot with plenty of nice views. I wish I’d went when the weather wasn’t so indecisive haha. 🌦️
Adam U — Google review
Our first time in visiting Fourteen Locks in over 20 years and what a great walk and what a great day. It was £1.50 for 4 hours of parking there's a pay as you park machine and you can use NFC. Inside the centre there is a coffee shop, a little shop, a visitor's desk and I could see some other rooms. There were also some public toilets however these were quite tired and not great. In the toilet that we used the seat wasn't even attached to the toilet. They do sell duck food. £1.50 a bag but had sold out. On coming out of the centre we followed the path around the right of the small pond and then started walking down the left hand side of the locks. Please don't expect to come here and see a long waterway route. There is some water at the top of the locks but the further down you go the drier it becomes, however it was very picturesque. We decided when we got to the bottom of the path where it branches to the left or the right to go left and follow the path underneath the M4 motorway and then we bared round the left again heading towards the malpas junction. 2/3 of the way down we spotted a sign for the Allt Yr Yn nature reserve and branched off there to have a little nose, before making our way back the Canal Centre. We stopped off at the coffee shop and enjoyed a latte and cappuccino and a large glass of tap water. They sell hot and cold food and there is also a chiller fridge with cold drinks. All very reasonable priced and lovely service from the staff.
Sarah M — Google review
It's an nice place, well maintained and along the canal, so it's a good place to stop for a rest if you're cycling or walking the canal. Can get ice cream and cold drinks there. Parking available.
Darren B — Google review
Lovely place to come and visit for a nice walk or for some time to yourself. There's a visitor centre at fourteen locks. They serve food, and they have items to sell. The car park is pay and display. There's a canal that stretches in both directions. One way leads into Risca while the other leads into Newport, Brynglas area. There are multiple paths to take to have a walk at fourteen locks, and it is great for exploring. The canal has had some work done to it. There is now a bridge in fourteen locks that connects to the other side of the water, toward the bottom section of the main area. There are also a few viewpoints that have been added to the canal overlooking points of the water. This place is great for dogs walking, cycle riding, and exploring. This is one of the best canals we've been to for walks and have been coming here for a number of years.

Nice place with great improvements since last visit. Good cafe with good menu including falafel veggie wraps and good coffee. Fair prices , efficient cooking and service. Coped well with a sudden rush of customers.

Art Galleries
The Newport Museum and Art Gallery, housed in a Victorian building, offers a diverse range of collections. Visitors can explore local history from Roman times, natural history with birds of paradise, and an art gallery featuring classical and contemporary art. The museum also showcases artefacts reflecting daily life in Newport over the last 200 years. Additionally, it provides insights into the city's cultural heritage through exhibitions on industrial history and contemporary art.
The museum is upstairs in the library. So much local history on display, dating back to Roman times and beyond. Fascinating to read about local industries and Newport life. With free entry also.
Alice G — Google review
Would have had a 5 star if the Painting I wanted to see was out but still very interesting place
Emma J — Google review
The Newport Museum and Art Gallery offers a modest but insightful experience, especially for those interested in the history of Newport. While the collection isn’t vast and some visitors may find there’s not a great deal to see in terms of art or exhibits, the museum does a commendable job of highlighting the city’s rich industrial and social history. Displays on Newport’s role in the Chartist movement and its maritime past provide a thoughtful look into the area’s heritage. The layout is simple and easy to navigate, making it suitable for a short visit. The art gallery section is relatively limited, with a small but rotating collection of local and national pieces. It’s not the place to go for major works or large-scale exhibitions, but there are occasional gems and temporary displays worth a look. Entry is free, which adds to its value as a quick cultural stop in the city centre. Overall, while the museum may not impress those looking for an extensive or high-profile collection, it offers a meaningful glimpse into Newport’s story and is a worthwhile visit for history enthusiasts or anyone with local ties.
Songs V — Google review
An interesting visit to the Museum of Newport earlier today "Free Entry!" 🤔 🏛 👍
James B — Google review
A fantastic free museum! I could have spent a few hours in here if i’d had more time. Highly recommended if you’re interested in studio pottery or ceramics as the gallery showcased a huge array, from Wally Keeler to coronation mugs. A visit while in Newport is a must!
Helen A — Google review
Great couple of hours out, good for all ages. They even have a sheet that children can fill out, which encourages children to really engage in the educational side of the trip.
Hollie O — Google review
Museum is so boring. It's been the same they haven't changed a thing I don't know how long it's been like this I've been going since I was a kid and I'm 36 nothing new They do need to update the exhibition badly . The building itself is so run down .
Alice S — Google review
A hidden gem in Newport city centre! Art gallery on the top floor (lift available) is a curious eclectic mix of displays including permanent ones devoted to all things ‘tea’ and temporary exhibits from local artists - when we visited it was ‘ how green is my valley’ by Ron McCormick. The museum on Level 1 is accessed through the library and once again contains an eclectic mix of fascinating artefacts from Welsh history including interactive displays, and mosaics. There’s a kids activity trail to keep them busy too! Food and drink is limited to vending machines and seating area on top floor.

Historic Sites
Nestled in the charming town of Caerleon, the Caerleon Roman Fortress Baths offer a fascinating glimpse into ancient Roman life. Once a luxurious bathing complex adjacent to an amphitheater where gladiators showcased their strength, this site is steeped in history. As one of only three permanent legionary fortresses in Britain, it features remarkable remnants like the vast natatio—an open-air swimming pool that could hold over 80,000 gallons of water.
Far, far exceeded my expectations! One of the most rewarding museum experiences I've ever had. This is due to the organization of the contents and how they are displayed. The National Roman Legion Museum, the Fortress Baths, the Roman Amphitheatre, and the Legion Barracks (all free except the Baths) are worth the time to travel and worthy of a good half-day visit. My brother and I arrived at 10:00 and did not depart Caerleon until after 14:00. The staff were enormously helpful answering my many questions. Highly recommend a visit to Caerleon for the multiple Roman Legion venues!
Donald G — Google review
This place is really cool if you're a history nerd 🤓 It isn't massive so you can go round it all I'm about an hour if you're reading everything, theres cool props etc you can take photos with. You get a cool comic style booklet with your ticket, it's a nice keep sake.
Tyler L — Google review
One of 3 fascinating Roman museums/archaeological sites in Caerleon. The museum is very atmospheric and incredibly informative with the ability to touch and handle some recreations of typical Roman tools/devices used at the baths. A must visit if you are into history
Nathan D — Google review
Participated in a free tour during the 'open Wales' event running throughout September, the tour guide that gave insights to the Roman establishment across the area was very knowledgeable and spoke with such enthusiasm that he provided a great sense of what life would have been like in the area throughout the period of Roman occupation and the significance. Beautiful area and a thoroughly enjoyable day out, would highly recommend a visit. There is a small fee to enter the bath house however most of the site can be visited for free.
Kate H — Google review
The sites are impressively well preserved and clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Fascinating to learn how sophisticated the roman legions were in their engineering abilities. Thought the pawprint and sandal imprint were special and added a sense of human connection to the past. The projected visuals were a creative touch, though the modern swimsuit imagery slightly detracted from historical atmosphere. Overall, a brilliant experience!
Sian J — Google review
An excellent experience made even more special by the friendly staff. This attraction is well laid out and quite reasonable for admission. There are lots of kids activities and history to be experienced. If you are in this town take the time to visit. The staff will also direct you to the other Roman ruins and history in the city as well.
Mark C — Google review
Pay to go in. Nice little walk around the old bath house, you can see a small portion of what was a huge site. Little clip boards given to the kids to entertain them. Interesting to visit. Doesn't take long to get around. Probably plan for 30 mins in there. No toilet inside. Pub right next door though.
Alice C — Google review
Nicely done with projecting figures in the baths, recordings and informative signs, videos and models. Children and adults can learn a lot about the Romans. The amphitheatre and baracks are 5-10 minutes walk away. Unfortunately we missed the museum as we came too late.

Nestled within the historic remnants of a 50-acre Roman fort, the National Roman Legion Museum offers an engaging glimpse into life during the Roman Empire. Established in AD 75 at Caerleon, this site was one of only three permanent fortresses in Britain and served as home to the formidable 2nd Augustan Legion. Visitors can explore well-preserved ruins, including Britain's most complete amphitheatre and unique barracks that are unmatched anywhere else in Europe.
We had a truly wonderful time at the National Roman Legion Museum in Caerleon. It’s amazing how much history is packed into such a relatively small building. The displays are fascinating, with an incredible collection of Roman artifacts that bring the story of the legion to life. Housed on the site of the ancient fortress of Isca Augusta, once home to the Second Augustan Legion from around AD 75, the museum offers a vivid glimpse into Roman military life. From weapons and armour to everyday items used by soldiers nearly 2,000 years ago, every exhibit is engaging and well presented. A visit here is both enjoyable and enriching — a perfect way to step back in time.
Yarys — Google review
A gêm of a museum and despite it's size has a fascinating collection of Roman artifacts. Has very interesting, Roman garden and dress up for children. Have been here twice and will definitely return. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly also
Nathan D — Google review
Loved my visit to this Museum, it doesn't look much from the outside, but it's actually awesome and there's so much to see and do inside. As well as the awesome collection of artefacts, the actual story boards and timelines of the Roman occupation are really captivating, it's not often I read every sign, but in here I did. They have lots of cool props you can get photos with & the Roman gardens out the back are very cool 😎 It is free to enter, but you can make donations if you wish. You can combine a visit here with a trip to the Roman baths, barracks and Amphitheatre, they're all close together.
Tyler L — Google review
Excellent free museum telling the story of Romans in and around Caerleon. Helpful staff giving information about the nearby sites - Roman Baths (CADW), the fort wall, barracks and wonderful amphitheatre ❤️
Jill S — Google review
Free museum with lots of info and amazing real life artifacts. I loved the various Roman soldier suits of armour and dress. We add weapons, coins, gems, etc. Lots of stuff to entertain the kids too. It’s a must see.
Shane B — Google review
A great little museum. Loads of interesting exhibits with friendly helpful staff. Well worth a visit.
Dee S — Google review
We took advantage of nearby free on street parking for our campervan. If none available there is a coach park with additional large spaces in town. There are dropped kerbs and dimpled paving at road crossing points. There was a pedestrian crossing available. There are 3 steps up to the museum but there is a ramp to the side. Inside there is good access all around. The reception desk is immediately opposite but just step to the right and beyond the donations box the museum reveals itself. There are many interesting and unique displays of Roman artifacts. Roman legionnaries stand imposingly inside and schoolchildren may be able to meet a Roman Legionary actor (by arrangement). Of particular interest was some of the bronze pans and glassware. Many of the pieces were both delicate and intricate. There is a small shop aimed at childrens purchases. There is also a fine looking Roman garden.
Lyndhurst — Google review
The tour guides were amazing. Really informative and knowledgeable. It was interesting to see all the Roman articles. You must see the Roman coffin with the remains of a Roman soldier skeleton still inside. It's a really fantastic museum , just the right size with beautiful pieces of historical armour, jewellery, pottery, and mosaic work to enjoy. You can include a visit to the Roman Baths and amphitheatre, which is nearby. Great day out, hugely enjoyable.

Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of Newport, Belle Vue Park is a beautifully restored Victorian-era oasis that invites visitors to unwind amidst its lush gardens and charming conservatories. Opened in 1894, this park boasts stunning architecture including a pavilion and a bandshell, all set against the backdrop of picturesque rockeries. With its Green Flag status and CADW Heritage recognition, Belle Vue Park offers an enchanting escape from city life.
On my way home I crossed this park, after a busy day at work a little relaxation surrounded by nature. Flowers, birds, the wind whistling through the branches of the trees, everything green and quiet. The park is large, has toilets, a playground for children, clean and well maintained. Magnolia, daffodils and other flowers color the park.
Corina M — Google review
Bellevue Park is lovely I was happy there was a good parking spot in the middle level because I only knew about the entry points at the top and bottom of the park It is on a hillside of course The parking in the middle brings you within 20 metres of the cafe that was a hot-house for tropical plants in years gone by when I visited as a child with my grand-dad - he loved to take me and my sister to the bandstand where a brass band played on a Sunday... happy days The Cafe is nice, it has lots of rooms and good areas for people with dogs, there were lots of nice dogs in the park The Cafe has good food and good coffee, I had scones, jam and cream. We had a family get together to celebrate grancha's birthday, he was a wonderful man The park is memorable for it's beautiful first trees I think There are great views We sat on the terrace which was lovely, on a delightful summers day There was no rush and we stayed out in the sun quite sometime before going inside We sat in comfortable chairs in a shaded area and chatted some more before leaving We had a lovely day
Gale S — Google review
Even in October, it's a beautiful place with magnificent huge elderly trees and extensive views. Very peaceful place. Reasonable parking mid day mid week but I suspect can be busy at weekends. Excellent tea rooms with quality coffee and delightful choice of cakes.
Trevor A — Google review
This was a surprisingly large park with lots of pretty areas to explore.
Karen B — Google review
Beautiful park all year round, great for dog walking and talking the kids to the ply area. If you are lucky, there are events on in the Pavilion, and the coffee shop is always worth treating yourself.
David C — Google review
I'll confess I thought twice before reviewing a park, but, gosh, it's a very fine park indeed. Worth a visit for the trees alone - some really magnificent specimens- the park also features both superb floral displays and wildflowers one comes across while ambling around. Birdsong is plentiful, and there are tennis courts and a bowling green. There's a lovely bandstand that hosts various concerts in the summer months, a multitude of seats, some in secluded corners, and a tea-room that serves exactly what you'd expect it to. Best of all for anyone local to the park is the opportunity to experience the seasons as they change. Right now the park boasts a magnificent array of colours, and the busy main road running adjacent to the park just seems to fade away.
Simon G — Google review
This park is a slice of tranquility in the centre of Newport. I found it 3 years ago when I moved here and I've been visiting ever since. Its so beautiful to visit in the spring and summer with all the wonderful flowers and trees. The grounds are really well maintained and it is such a great place to walk your dog. Some of the levels of walking are quite steep so be mindful if you struggle with that. A wonderful cafe at the top entrance, serving drinks and food, seating indoors and outdoors. Really friendly staff. This place will always be one of my favourite.

The Newport Medieval Ship, a remarkable 15th-century merchant vessel unearthed in 2002, has become a fascinating attraction for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. This unique ship was discovered preserved in the mud of the River Usk and is currently stored underwater while plans for its future are being considered. During summer months, visitors can catch glimpses of this extraordinary find thanks to the dedicated Friends of Newport Ship organization.
Absolutely fantastic, I loved visiting and learning facts and history about the ship. I had a guide and she was wonderful. I 100 percent recommend visiting for anyone! History lovers and families too! There's a rat search and dress up! Fantastic little shop with wonderful books on the history of the ship too! I will be visiting again! <3

Passionate and insightful curators, children friendly, kiddo loved the "find the rat game".. plenty souvenirs to take with... So much to learn about the skill and art that was involved in the building of the ship.

Not been to see this for years . It has moved site . Event on at time with other groups also on site including a sea shanty group. Check for details. In side the information about the ship was very informative. Also guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. This visit the timbers were available to see . Timbers were impressive and demonstrated the size of the ship. Parking was limited as this is a industrial site . But as it was Sunday no problem.

Not too much to see yet but the introduction talk was very informative. We were able to see some of the preserved beams and planks. Gift shop with many interesting items available..

Really interesting and informative. Visited with my son and we both really enjoyed it, and learned lots of interesting facts. The volunteers were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic it and made the visit. Definitely well worth a visit. Will no doubt return again in the future.

We had such an interesting time visiting Newport's medieval ship. We were taken on a guided tour by a knowledgeable gentleman who was more than happy to answer any questions we had. To see the timbers of the ship in person was fantastic. I hope we can visit again once it has been rebuilt. I would recommend a visit to anyone who is interested in history or ships.

I have taken my children here many times over the last few years to see a few pantomimes, The Tiger who came to Tea and a fair few films in the cinema and I honestly can’t praise it enough! The cinema in particular is excellent value for money and gives us something to do during school holidays. Staff here are really friendly and everything is always clean and tidy.

We went to my granddaughter's dance show on Saturday 12th July which was great, were looking forward to having a couple of beers on the Bank there after the show as it was a lovely evening only to be told that the bar had closed,it was only 7.30 ,a lot of people were thinking the same as it was very well attended, such a shame, you hear about supporting these places which I gladly would have done by putting money behind the bar, you had two ladies serving earlier, clearly not proper bar staff who really didn't want to be there and couldn't get from there quick enough,it was only opening bottles, not a big stretch really, you had other people sat behind a counter doing nothing who could have easily gone behind the bar just for an hour or so, it's the riverfront s loss as they could have made a lot more money just by keeping the bar open until 9 o'clock say ,real shame when your trying to put money into places and keep them going

Walnut Tree Farm Park is a rural attraction that offers fun activities for families, including go-karting, pony and tractor rides, and the chance to see farm animals and rare breeds. Children can feed the animals using bags of animal feed purchased from reception. The park has friendly staff who are always ready to help visitors. There are plenty of benches for resting and a variety of things for children to do, including an indoor play area. The park also has a cafe with reasonably priced food options.
Absolutely beautiful place to visit your favourite farm animals. Plenty of room for young and old to explore and enjoy. A family run working farm staff are lovely and food is home cooked ! Keep an eye out for the signs as sat nav can take you off route.

Great selection of animals, laid out well, chance to feed the animals as well. My Grandson really enjoyed his time here. Cafe was very good, lady serving us was very friendly, kind and a very good Chef, all home cooked food! Well worth a visit!

Walnut tree farm park is a lovely family run farm park with quite a variety of animals which you can feed (50p per feed bag). At £8 per adult and £7 per child found it was exceptionally good value for money - with lovely quality food in their cafe which was clean, hygienic and kept on top of. There are plenty of washing hands facilities around the farm park, and overall a really lovely experience. Great place for all ages, not just kids but adults too. £1 per person for the tractor ride was also great value to finish off the day ☺️

One of the best farm days out we have had. Really good value for money. There's loads to see and do here like Tractor rides, quads in the barn etc. Highly recommend for all the family.

This was a wonderful farm. Very healthy animals, we loved the Highland cows. Cafe was good, good coffee, reasonable prices. The only disappointment was that they oversold on the tractor ride. When we arrived to get on, the trailer was full, and we couldn't get on.
Luann C — Google review
I recently visited this farm and overall, the experience was just okay. I was expecting to see a wider variety of animals, but there really weren’t that many, which was a bit disappointing. The place itself is fine, but if you’re looking for a proper farm experience with lots of animals to see and interact with, this may not be the best choice.

£8 entrance £1 food for animals. Perfect price? Lovely farm. Very king staff. We were struggling to find lamas but managed in the end! Amazing place to spend a day, especially if you have kids. Lots of fun. We are both single adults but were enjoying it so much. You can feed, touch and hug some animals. Loved the experience

The NEON, a former cinema in Newport, has been revitalized into a vibrant cultural hub. It offers a diverse range of live entertainment including music, comedy, and theater performances. The venue is known for hosting the annual Newport Blues Festival and has become a popular spot for various events. With ample parking options nearby and spacious interiors with good visibility of the stage, it's an ideal place to enjoy live shows.
Great events, lovely staff and a beautiful and historic building. It's had its internal struggles apparently but hopefully this becomes a hotspot for live entertainment in Newport once again! Great for bands, wrestling, comedians and the new roller disco!

An iconic venue that has had many different uses over the decades - it needs a lot of work to bring it up to any standard and the heating is grim. There is poor access for vehicles as it is on a very busy junction - the close by multi storey car park is a place that I never feel safe leaving my car.
Paul S — Google review
I was filming at the Neon for a TV Series. Easy to find with car park next door. Wonderful staff that made us very welcome. Some great bands on the line up there and will try to get back for Bad Manners later this month!

MEAT LIVE CONCERT PROS: Staff were good and helpful, did see that a 'spillage' was delt with in a timely manner. Good security in and outside. Good sound and light system. The bar is a very good size with about 6 / 7 staff (staff seem to congregate more in the centre of the bar). Next to the bar is a burger/hot dog and chips bar, prices seemed average. You'll see, on your way in, there is a small bar, good seating, pool table and large screen in the foyer which runs all night. CONS: (not really a 'cons' but) You'll need to get there when the doors open as there are very limited seats and tables, most of the floor area is taken for the dance area. Sadly the decor seems a bit 'tired' but that could be a funds issue due to Covid lockdown. The stairs leading up to the toilets have an American 'keep to the right' policy (arrows on the floor) which corsed a bit of confusion as we, even in Wales, keep to the left! Bigist letdown was, shamefully the toilets! The gents was, to say the least, BOGGING! The urinals were not to bad - could I suggest that a member of staff check them throughout the night and sign-off ? OVERALL Apart from the toilets, quite a good night. Thanks.

It was my first time here Saturday evening to watch a tribute evening from the 90s. Motley crue def Leppard and poison. I found the venue with ease. It's an old cinema building. Managed to find a place a place to park in the housing estate behind it. There's a multi story car park behind the venue but I have a pet hate for paying to park so improvised. A short walk to the venue. The venue itself was cool, I imagine if it was the early 90s this is the kind of place the bands would be playing in. A good crowd and well managed. The staff were cool, door staff on point. The toilets could have been..... cleaner. But this is a typical situation of most venues yet it seems since the pandemic we've learned nothing about hygiene. 30 years ago this would have been the least focused area of a venue but in these times you'd think cleaning and maintenance would be taken way more seriously. Every thing else was clean and tidy. The entrance and exit worked well without any crowding problems. I had a great evening and will return to see and support more shows.

Was at this place lastnight for my kids dance awards evening. Absolutely freezing in the place couldn't even take our coats off. Hall was booked from 6- 11 and the place was empty by 9.30 due to it being so cold 🥶. A lot of people there and was looking forward to a really good night but due to it being so cold and no word of a lie we had cold breath we might aswell of held the evening outside. Ask staff member to put heating on and was told it was on which was a lie. This place should be ashamed knowing they had 300 people coming kids included. Defo spoilt our night.

Jump Adventure Trampoline Park is an indoor trampoline park that offers a wide range of activities for both groups and individuals. With over 50 trampolines, a foam pit, interactive dodgeball, Last Man Standing wipeout machine, Ninja Warrior course, and jump tower, there's no shortage of fun challenges to try out. The park also hosts children's birthday parties with safety inductions and party rooms where food is provided as part of the package.
My boys absolutely love coming to Jump, if there is anywhere in the world they could go they always choose jump. Hours of fun, burning off their endless energy and happy smiling faces. They always say it's the best day out.

I cannot thank Georgia and the other members of the team enough for our son's party experience! They got everyone sorted quickly with wristbands and socks so they could begin jumping, and were able to rectify my mistake (thought I'd ordered chips, nuggets and pizza but had actually ordered the sandwich box package!) and upgrade the food to the right stuff! All the kids had a fab time and were well and truly stuffed after jumping around to their hearts' content! Highly recommend a party package here!

Staff were friendly and no trouble our party host Ellie lovely girl chatty and friendly with the children was there every question I had was great at keeping time with all the plans and nothing was any trouble for her! Great host 5* for her.

so me and my twin sons visited on the 26/2/25 and even tho they had a fun time. I was very concerned about the amount of kids that were on the trampolines at one time. it's a major health n saftey risk! also the place stunk of sweat and dirty feet. also it could all do with a good clean especially the toliets! also they were people with shoes and normal socks on the play area and not one member of staff said anything to them. the safe were just stood around talking or in a world of there own. I didn't take my kids for food upstairs as there was no one serving and the cafe area was dirty too. I am disappointed in this has I said my boys love it here. so I think you need to sort things out before someone gets hurt or ends up seriously ill.
Tammy B — Google review
I would give minus stars if I could. Red haired girl 'managing' the tower they jump off just as you come up the stairs, allowed another child to jump off before my son even had chance to even stand up and he landed right on my sons lower back. My son is really hurt and it's their fault! Absolutely pathetic she didn't do anything to help or see if my sons ok. They seem to think because you sign a disclaimer then they have zero responsibility to keep people there safe which is wrong. Especially when they aren't following their own safety protocol, the tannoy announcement said only one child per trampoline, well the place was clearly overbooked, putting money over safety of course. There was easy 5children on most trampolines even them small square ones had atleast 2 kids on and more people just kept coming. Pathetic and the 'staff' were just there watching. just ignore their own rules and any ignore when a child gets injured because they genuinely dont care which is vile, go and work in a different industry. It absolutely STANK of raw sewege it was sickening. Loads of kids with their own socks or barefoot and noone does anything, so why even make that a rule. just complete lack of care on every front. The stairs handrail is part missing they are very steep stairs. The building just doesn't seem very good condition so between that, the stomach turning smell and vile staff neglect cauaing my son to be injured, I will never ever return

Absolutely love taking my boy here. Always friendly and helpful staff, never wait too long in the cafe for food. Also party packages are decently priced.

We always have a great experience at Jump in Newport - Very, very, very accommodating for Neurodivergent families / carers. If you bring paperwork, carers can bounce for free with children who need additional support. We love this place and will keep returning. Staff are so understanding as the young boy we care for can’t wear the wrist band or socks for sensory reasons and the staff completely understand this! Our favourite place for trampolining!

This compact bar has become a beloved fixture over its 25-year journey, transforming from a traditional pub into a dynamic performance arts venue. The spirit of resilience is palpable here, especially through the dedication of its manager, Sam Dabb, who embodies civic pride and passion for the local scene.
Fantastic spot ! The attention to detail, the cleanliness , the music and the drinks are all amazing . Everywhere you look there’s a detail and art piece that makes you happy to be there ! The music venue is intimate and great for discovering new talent. Easy to access as it is close to the station ! Fab ! And the toilets are a piece of art with pride and prejudice narrated and a piano you can tickle before you return to the bar 🥰

However, today when I went in for a spontaneous drink my ID was refused and was told it was fake by the supervisor!?! It is not fake. It is a standard UK driving licence. This issue was dealt with and resolved very professionally by the manager afterwards. The Roman Amphitheater in Caerleon is a fascinating site for history enthusiasts. Dating back to 90 AD, it was once a Roman Legionary fortress and offers valuable insights into Roman culture. Despite its impressive size, some visitors suggest the addition of information boards to enhance the experience. Additionally, the nearby museum and Roman baths are just a short walk away, making it a comprehensive destination for learning about Wales' Roman history.
What a brilliant day we had... Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, we've been promising ourselves to get here and we finally did ...so wish we'd done it sooner ... But as the saying goes We'll be back 🤣
Rob B — Google review
A great place to visit if you are in the area. When in the middle of the amphitheatre you can imagine yourself being taken back to Roman times where they would have performed many acts
Paulo B — Google review
A large and impressive structure it would have been in Roman times. One can still imagine what it might have looked like and what barbarous activities might have taken place inside. The coach parking and spaces large enough for motorhomes are located here. Parking is free. Visiting is free. There are blue badge spaces here and in town.
Lyndhurst — Google review
Evocative and peaceful. Surprisingly well-preserved given how tempting it must have been for past inhabitants to use the stones for building houses, etc.
Alistair C — Google review
We came to Caerleon to see all the Roman archaeological sites & it didn’t disappoint, there’s so much to see including this Amphitheatre which is quite impressive & it would have been quite an intimidating place when the romans ruled, the only problem when I was there, was a family having a picnic in the middle of it & a few lads riding round on electric scooters which made it hard to take photos but I managed to take a few. It’s a very special place & im so glad we seen it & it needs to be preserved for future generations
Mick A — Google review
Great place in a small village which holds lot of history. There are public toilets in the carpark outside of the Amphitheatre and the Barracks is a short walk away from this car park also. To access the museum and roman baths again this is a short walk from car park but in towards village. This amphitheatre is very accesible with mostly flat grass and a flat route into the centre and out of centre. There are small ammounts of shade within this field which provide rest when it is a hot day. There are no benches or bins inside this amphitheatre nor is there any information, no signs, writing or history. Unless you purchased the Cadw book at the roman baths you would not be able to learn much about this site on this site. I feel a small pop up shop would suffice to help tourists understand the area more, or an offer of a guided tour maybe. Reduced stars because although a great ruin well preserved, this is just a big empty field. Maybe a good place for a picnic if you found a spot you was happy with but very open to elements and can be busy with people moving around amphitheatre.
R G — Google review

When you find yourself in Salisbury, make sure to check out ODEON Salisbury, a charming cinema that stands out from the typical multiplex experience. Nestled in the market square, this venue not only showcases the latest films but also offers unique activities like Crazy Croquet and table tennis for some added fun. The building itself is quite impressive and adds to the overall ambiance of your movie outing.
Fabulous building and inexpensive tickets. The screens aren't huge, and the standard seats could be more comfortable, but for £5 we weren't complaining. There are some better seats (for a bit extra) in the front few rows, which we will probably use in the future (as the screen is not so big).
John N — Google review
No such thing as 'the big screen' in this odeon. Would've absolutely seemed bigger waiting for the film to come out and watch it at home! Love the old building though, hence the additional star
Jack R — Google review
An amazing building, great place to experience a film. Run of the mill seating, comfortable and clean. Not accessable friendly. Two flights of stairs to get into auditorium. No nearby parking.
Su B — Google review
Really nice complex, kept the character of high ceilings and open beams. Only issue is one of the screens is so far away, think screen 5. It's terrible, may as well watch it at home. Doesn't give the cinema experience at all so be cautious what screen you book into as the others are ok.
Tom — Google review
As a local cinema in a wonderful building it could be a great experience, but the last few times I’ve regretted it and most recently, walked out 15 minutes into the F1 movie. The sole reason being that the chairs are terribly uncomfortable and in the case of the F1 movie I wanted to enjoy it but it was WAY too loud, to the point the audio was distorted. I left and will visit another cinema where I can enjoy the movie to its potential. I can’t fault the staff here as on every visit they’ve always been friendly and attentive, but the aging furnishings let it down.
Tom J — Google review
No surround sound which is shocking. Stereo audio. Definitely not odeon cinema quality. Place needs a revamp. We were in screen 1, screen is so small, people sitting further back might have as well been in a living room. Hard to believe this is part of the odeon group. We could also hear sounds from a movie in the room next-door, never great when watching a horror movie. Odeon, put some money into this place and upgrade it!
S S — Google review
Do not book online !! They charge you extra . It says it is cheaper to book online but that is an utter lie .. they charge 2 pounds extra online as a ( online fee) which makes absolutely no sense as it should save them money. And also when u pay online an issue occurs where they charge you for the tickets and the seats get booked up so when u go back to try get the same nice seats they are booked . And it seams like a refund of un used tickets are out of the question
James L — Google review
It's not a great cinema, 3 stars is me being kind. If you are an avid film lover I don't think it gives you the classic experience we've become accustomed to. The old building, as beautiful as it is historically it isn't suitable as a cinema at all. Why they decided on this venue as a cinema is entirely baffling. The screens are very small, awkward, and very far away from seats, why they hung the screens at the back of the original staging area instead of the front is bizarre too. If you buy standard the view is terrible, parts of the screen isn't even viewable as its so far back in the stage and you are sat so low, there is zero warning about this. No modifications for it to be a cinema, its was designed for actors to stand on the stage. No matter where you're sat you should be able to see all the images. This is very poor service. Not to mention if someone sits in front of you, that's it....you can't see anything as most screens don't have tiered seating in standard so you have a head in your view the whole film?! Luckily there have been places for me to discreetly move to, but if it was a popular film, or I was blocked in, I'd not have this option. The audio sounds distant and the general enjoyment of the film is marred as you feel like your in a village hall watching a projector rather than at a big chain cinema with dolby. I guess that's why tge cheap tickets are 5 pounds. That's the only reason why I still go to be honest as im poor, if they charged full value for such poor offerings I would go at all. The staff are polite and attentive, I found the facilities, though clean, very outdated and desperate for some much needed modernisation desperatly needs some love and care a bit of sprucing up. Parking in the area is good, £1.90 all day on a sunday! Bonus! Disabled directly opposite very good! However I wouldn't recommend this cinema for disabled, very awkward, lots of stairs, 2 flights to get to the top tiny screens that are so small you might as well watch at home. The smallest screen has its own toilet, you'd think that was a good thing, guess again... it in the actual screen??? This is madness. You have to endure the entire row standing up to let someone out then back in cause its cramp, then the cinema screen is not viewable as the lights from the toilets reflect on to the cinema screen?! I watch a rerelease of star wars and had this terrible experience the entire film. You could feel the annoyance from everyone. Everytime the toilet door opened, the lights blocked the projection then 2 mins later opened again when the user Finnish thier business, only to be opened yet again by the next patron! Who designed this ridiculous design needs to be fired. As usual the food is increasingly expensive and not worth it for such small amounts. £4 for 100g of sweets?!These cinema will never learn to make money things need to be affordable and reflective of what your buying. In a day where the cinema is dying out it is a shame that I have to drive 50min to get to a cinema, I will still support my "local" cinema, if you can even call it that. But feel there is a lot more odeon has to do ro win the masses back.

Good gym, classes, facilities and trainers. Voted down as I was asked to provide proof I am still a student, I gave my student card and my latest student finance letter dated for this academic year (showing my course, the year I am into my course, the uni etc) and they were incredibly obstructive for no reason. I offered to email them from my uni email address, but they kept requesting unreasonable documents that are not standard practice, they wanted my acceptance letter (I am 4 years into my 5 year veterinary degree), why they won't accept UP TO DATE documentation but they want a document that's 4 years old is beyond me, they were unnecessarily difficult so I ended up cancelling. I hope saving a tenner a month is worth losing £25 a month?
