Service was dreadful, the person who served us did not have training in serving at all. The cutlery was just thrown on the table, served man prior to woman and communication was not professional. Portions were big, but taste of the food was appalling, didn't taste as Indian curry, chicken was dry and various foods tasted as they were made with the same base. Final treat chocolate was not looking appetising and didn't take chance to eat it as it looked well overdue expiry date. Over all - Negative experience... I hope this will help them to improve their services and take care of the details. And service basics for our society.

We had to give this restaurant a try after checking out nearby restaurants. We didn't book ahead but managed to get seated straight away. The food was really good and the service was excellent. We recommend the lamb mirchi, chicken tikka sally, keema rice, and peswari naan. Happily recommended.

Some how my mother would find a way to afford to bring us here when we were young and it was lovely. Not perfect, but special to me. Kind staff and yummy curry 😋

The service at the restaurant was disappointingly slow, causing us to wait much longer than expected for our meals. To make matters worse, we were all bitten by some insects, which added to our discomfort and frustration during our visit.

Stopped off while staying in the area.. Thursday night was suppose to be £15.95 per person there was 2 of us and our daughter who had a child’s meal for £10 we had 5 drinks between us of coke and lemonade which were flat like they had come out of a bottle.. still confused how in total that came to £62.. the butter chicken was frozen chicken strips totally inedible didn’t even eat it the garlic mushrooms were no way on this earth cooked fresh today I have never seen a dried up garlic mushrooms! We did box up and took remaining edible food with us as really didn’t feel comfortable 3 different waiters kept walking past and watching us eat and staring at my daughter made us both feel extremely uncomfortable didn’t even want to dispute anything because we all felt soooo uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. My daughter’s food came out after our food which wasn’t great either. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Bathrooms needed a good clean and the doors wiping over and so did the flooring in the main area the dirt build up in the grain of the floor was revolting the dust on the blinds as well and windows you could barley see through because they were filthy. We didn’t eat the food when we arrived home it ended up in the bin total waste would highly recommend avoiding.

Went to Romney spice last friday with my partner to celebrate 1 year 8 months together. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very nice and tasty. I recommend this place to anyone for family dinner or date nights 100% id defo going back in the future.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this Italian restaurant. The menu offered a great balance of traditional and contemporary Italian dishes - I highly recommended the special starter and the wood-fired pizza, both of which were cooked to perfection! The desserts were amazing as well, home-made tiramisu and pistachios cheesecake 🤯 If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine, this place is a gem! I’ll definitely be returning!

We had an amazing dinner at this family owned Italian restaurant. Bella the chef, together with her husband and 2 sons run the restaurant. We had the Mussels as starter, Ruzzo rustic pizza, Polpette Al Forno pasta and a 3 course children meal. The food was hearty and yummy. While the food is great, the pistachio cheesecake stole our hearts! Will be back 😀

Decided to come here on a whim. The food was genuinely outstanding, with the presentation being excellent. I enjoyed every mouthful. Enea was our server; he was so friendly and welcoming adding to the amazing experience we had here. I highly recommend, and if I lived closer I would become a regular.

We returned to Ruzzo Italian on Saturday for a family meal after a great experience on our last visit—and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant was absolutely buzzing with energy, full of diners, and had such a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Even though it was packed, the service was impressively quick, and we were really well looked after throughout the evening. Our server, Enea, was fantastic—super friendly and attentive. I have several food allergies, and he went out of his way to make sure everything was safe and suitable for me, which I really appreciated. We were there to celebrate my father’s birthday, and the team even surprised him with a complimentary drink, which was a lovely touch. Little details like that really make a difference. Highly recommend Ruzzo for anyone looking for delicious Italian food, great service, and a warm, vibrant setting. Can’t wait to go back again!

Absolutely can't fault our visit. Massive group of us for dinner. The food was outstanding and the service was amazing. All the service staff were awesome. A special shout out to Jasmin who was great, nothing was too much to ask. Not a bad word to say!! Thanks again!

Lovely service for a family run restaurant. We had a mix of starters, mains and dessert and also their mocktails. We particularly enjoyed all their seafood dishes. We also recommend the strawberry and mint drink. We appreciate the specials desserts that were off the menu that was provided to us. Would highly recommend!

Visiting camber and I searched on goolemaps and came across this wonderful modern Italian restaurant. Wonderful funny freindly staff. Quick assertive staff. And the food omg. My husband had the classic pepperoni pizza and I had meatballs alfrno. Baked pasta. Come to ruzzo if your in the area you won't be without good food good atmosphere and good people.

I went there with a group of friends and it was a very pleasant experience. The female waiters were amazing and checked in often. Our food was good and appetizers were fair portions. We ordered a giant platter with different meats. All very good. Only thing was that the paper menus they gave us had inconsistent pricing with the menus inside.

We are staying at a local holiday park and decided to try this restaurant as is very easy to reach, even with 3 young kids. At lunch time it seemed quiet and we found the interior of the place very impressive. We ordered the seafood casserole, the Diamond Special and chicken nuggets and chips for the children. Everything was absolutely delicious, the meats in the Diamond Special were tasty and juicy. Our server was also very kind and helpful and ultimately the price we paid was also very reasonable. Absolutely recommended if you are visiting the area.

I have been to many Turkish restaurants and after my visit today, this is easily my new favourite, everything was excellent. There are so many authentic Turkish options to choose from on the menu, however, they have a range of familiar foods (chips, nuggets, burger) for younger children who may be fussy eaters. The atmosphere was great and the servers were so kind, making sure everything was ok and finding the time to stop and talk after the meal. The meal came with a complimentary starter of flat bread, salad and sauces; something not many other places do. The main meals were great, a real plus point is the fact that the meals were not swimming in oil, like some other Turkish restaurants do. Good portion sizes and cooked to perfection. I would easily go back again.

Went for lunch and what a pleasure! The service was excellent, the whole place was immaculately clean and the food was amazing. All food was made by them, no reheated plates here! We had the lunch time offer of 3 courses and each one was a little piece of art on a plate. I cannot fault the food at all. Each course was perfectly cooked and presented. All of the staff were attentive and welcoming. Will definitely be taking more friends here and would recommend to everyone

Had a look and saw the reviews were good so came along with the family to try it out. Was 10 of us and 2 babies and they got us in no problem. Very welcoming staff and quick service. Food was all cooked perfect and great portion sizes. We was all well and truly stuffed!!

Just been to the curry lounge for the 1st time. Was not disappointed at all. The food was more than 5 star. Everything fresh and hot and sooo tasty. Will defo be using this on a regular basis!!!!

One of the best on the marsh, normally stick with a korma when it comes to curry though went with a pasanda has been my go to order when it come to getting a curry, the curry lounge is the only place so far that makes it perfect, defently recommend coming here, a wide range of dishs to try.

Great free pub stopover, I parked in the rear car park & had a very peaceful night! The kitchen was closed, so I only had a couple of drinks! 👍😎

I dont live in the area, but my Mum does and I frequently stop here with my dog for a pint when I am up. Quite simply this pub serves probably the BEST pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord you will have in the UK. Stunningly perfect, addictively drinkeable and served with pride. You'll never have the more perfect pint of real hand pulled ale anywhere in the UK. The Lancaster Gold is perfect too!

First time we’ve been here for Sunday lunch. They’re first under the new chef and a superb meal. Great value and a proper traditional country pub vibe.

Came here for a family meal for my boyfriend’s birthday, amazing atmosphere and great food with generous portions. We were served by Abbie and another blonde waitress who were great and knew the menu. Overall a great experience, will come back again and will recommend.

One to avoid - a local pub for local people - lots of foul language and oversized sports TV screens. Not welcoming at all - a bar for the landlord and his mates! We left after a quick drink and went to The Rings Of Bells down the road - much better and really welcoming!

3 stars for the food and the facilities. The pizza was yummy albeit slightly overpriced. Sat outside with the children playing on the park. The manager is a bit of a grump. He told us to put our dog on the lead even though the area was enclosed, he was behaving and we were the only customers there (we are very conscious of others and would have put him on the lead if others were there) He told us they only served the food to the terraced area, understandable as it's a walk to the grassy area, so when the food came out we carried our pizza ourselves near the play area to watch over the children and he came out to watch us for a bit. Very unnerving? Myself and a female friend ordered the food, I think he would have told us off if when he came out our husbands werent sat there with us. He changed his mind for a reason and chose to watch us from a distance. Wierd

We didn’t eat but had a few beers! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We stopped over in the back car park in our Motorhome. We called ahead to check as found it on Park4night thank you for providing this service!

For me, the Ship Hotel is completely me. It is quirky, it offers delicious food, functions, free wifii, parking (check in for this) but for me the room I stayed was adorable. Small maybe, but I only required a room to sleep. A beautifully clean bathroom with ALL things youd need for a shower, plus, hair and conditioner. I slept incredibly well. The water system growls once the loo flushes, which is an additional quirky element. You have heating, a fan blower, additional duvet if you require it, plenty of tea, milk, coffee and biscuits in your room. The food available is affordable. Breakfast was part of my room cost, which was cheaper than Premier/Holiday Inn. Im looking firward to future visits as my friend has recently moved nearby.

Had some unfortunate moments catching the bus service on Sunday evening, so we went in to warm ourselves after standing in the rain. The bartender was absolutely kind and helpful for letting us stay there for that time, so of course we had to get a drink aswell. Because of what a relief it was for us that night, I can't do anything else but give a maximum rate for that. Thanks again, pal!

We did not stay at the Ship but we my family had a Meal here .Be prepared to wait for 1 hour + for just your starter. And a further hour for your main and around 25 minutes just to be served. (AND WARNING )the machine next to the Bar does not work correctly even being guided by the manager es it was a struggle and only allowed us to enter our car for 5 days we only came for the Sunday Roast then we still ended up with a PCN for being parked avoid this place theres a lot better.

A large group of us came for food today, staff were super accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The menu had a great range of dishes, so theres something for everyone. All the food was delicious, the puddings are definitely some of the best I've eve tasted (the lemon creme brulee is sensational!). Portion sizes are generous and pricing is very fair for quantity and quality. I 100% recommend to The Ship to everyone who wants great quality food for family friendly prices. We will be returning for all our family get togethers now 😁

Came here one evening for tea as we were staying at a local campsite. The service was very friendly and excellent. The food was brilliant, had the pork belly and it was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Plenty of parking. Great service. Nice food. And they accommodated 16 of us at short notice. Giving us a whole dining room to ourselves, which was lovely. Would definitely come back here.

We had the most delicious meal here last night. My husband had the mix grill I had the lamb shank, and I can honestly say they were worth every penny spent. The food was fresh, tasty, hot and good portion size. We were so full after the meal we couldn't find room for a pudding, which was a shame because they looked delicious. The server was so lovely, very attentive and nice and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for her. She checked on us to make sure the meal was OK, the service was impeccable. We will definitely be coming back for more of their delicious food. If you're passing this place, drop in and sample some of their cuisine you won't be disappointed.

Was told that the Sunday carvery was good from a neighbor so thought I would try it out with my partner and mum. Bear in mind we had never been there before. We got there and the bar staff were busy behind the bar, and it seemed a good five minutes before anyone asked if they could help. We finally got shown to the dining area and was handed over to a waitress who's first day it was at the job. We know this because she looked very nervous and I asked her if it was her first day, which she confirmed. We got shown to a table and we couldn't pull the chairs out as it was too close to the tables and chairs either side of it and had to asked other customers to basically get up and move their table so I could just sit at our table. Finally seated the nervous waitress takes our drinks order and there is no sign of our drinks for 15 minutes. Eventually I ask another waitress where is our drinks and when can we go and get our meal. She was very good and sorted our drinks straight away and got our tickets for our meal. When we sat down my mum was blinded by a spotlight shinning right in her eyes and had to get up to turn it away. The meats were good but the shredded cabbage was chewy (obviously frozen) not cooked enough, the yorkshire pud was frozen not homemade, the roast potatoes were awful. Firstly the potato tasted old and had been deep fried and brought out in an oven tray to make it look like they come from the oven. They were probably put in the oven to keep warm because the skin was hard and chewy and what oil did they cook them in as they were yellow in color and didn't look roasted! The broccoli was too crunchy, may as well have been raw, but the cauliflower cheese was good. Now I am a vegetarian and on the carvery menu it says vegan option. They only had meat option and nothing else but I thought it doesn't matter too much as I'll fill up on all the lovely veggies (more fool me) and when I went to put my gravy on, they again only had a meat option gravy, so not vegetarian or vegan friendly at all. Also my mum loves a nice cup of tea and what she got when she finally got it was "filthy", my mum's words, she couldn't drink it after the first sip. We would have ordered some dessert but going by the quality of the meal we decided against it. When paying I told the lady at the till that I had no vegetarian option and only had veg and she did put my meal as a child's meal.... So it should be. Anyway as you can see I was not impressed at all and highly recommend YOU DO NOT go here for a decent carvery. I'm flabbergasted that there are any good reviews for this carvery, if you go it's at your own risk 😧i'll say no more

Visited Sat 15th Feb. Seated very quickly, in the beautiful snug room, with our dog. Service was exceptionally fast by a lovely lady who was very attentive. Brought us a dog bowl too with some water. Food was absolutely delicious! and GF available. Yummy chips, and eggs cooked to perfection for dippy chips! Salad side was lovely too with a really nice dressing. Drinks and water jug brought super quickly too. Service with a smile! Highly Recommend these very hard working folks and the pub is clean, and inviting. Thank you The Plough Staff! We will come again! 5*

The food was good and waiting staff polite I was over charged by 40 pounds on bill which was discovered after I had paid when I disputed this there was no apology and I was told well at I’m sorting out for you When I explained that they were sorting out their mistake they just walked away So although the food was good I would check your bill before paying and maybe they need to work on their customer service

We're down for a short break and popped in here for a late lunch. Despite them finishing lunch service they were happy enough to accommodate us. Food was amazing, fresh and hot! Drinks were great. And amazing super service. Thanks for fitting us in. We'll be back.

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Accepted it would be one hour a ten minutes!!!! Arrived TWO and a HALF hors later!!!! Cold. Awful. Rubbish. Another fairly regular customer lost. Terrible.

Don’t listen to bad reviews. The vindaloo was the best my missus has ever had.My Dansak was lovely.The chilli garlic naan could have been a bit more of what it said.Very nice curry house.

Had a table booked for 8pm for 8 people, orders where taken for Starters , Drinks and Main Courses by 8:20 , Starters & Drinks arrived-but then had to wait until gone 10pm for main courses - in which 1 didn’t even arrive, so was Cancelled , & another had to be warmed up again , as it went cold while waiting for the other part of it to arrive. At bill paying time , we had to haggle with the Manager about the Service & the long wait - in which he said that he would not charge us for what didn’t arrive 🤔. Had to explain in detail as to why he needed to reduce the bill by more because of the long wait - his excuse was that he was short staffed in the kitchen , but there was a steady flow of Takeaway orders going out the door , as he prioritized Telephone & Online Bookings over Dine In Customers. My advice is that if you book a table by phone or online for a certain time , place your order at the same time , that way , hopefully the wait won’t be so long. Family have caravans nearby , but can’t see them rushing back - unless they have plenty of time to kill. Food Good 👍🏻 , Service- Poor. 👎🏻

Ok takeaway, rice and sag aloo very good. Garlic chilli chicken lacked flavour compared to others I have tried and the Mix Shashlick came without seekh kebab. So overall disappointing.

Takeaway. Tastless, frozen veg bag Korma. Lamb dupiaza had not the "double onions" as the dish is inappropriately named. The lamb was tiny and 4 small pieces, the sauce is bland and uninspiring. The sag paneer had no paneer but instead cheddar. The sauce pits are small and watery.. Waste of money.

Great pub, great staff, great food and great punters! Spent three days in New Romney recently and the Cinque quickly became our go to pub. Talk about a warm, welcoming pub! Simply cannot fault the place. Don't miss out on their rustic chips either (much better than French fries). Cheapest pub in the hight street too! Cannot recommend this pub highly enough. This restaurant is local/ walking distance to us and always been pleased with the clean flavours, great service and I appreciate linen table cloths and napkins. Supporting local good businesses is why I’m making this review. Value for money is excellent too. Take your own booze only option which works for us.

My favorite Indian restaurant closed and I never found one half as good. We moved out to Dymchurch and started trying different Indian takeaways, once we tried Cardamom I found just the right one. It's as good as my old favorite. I'll never order from anywhere else. Keep up the good work, your food is delicious, great portions, and your chicken is so tender. A+++

Extremely good quality food and a hidden gem of old skool style cooking. Chicken nicely done and delicious flavoured curries, especially the roasted garlic varieties. Lovely rices too. When I’m visiting here on holiday twice a year, this is a must! Thank you Cardamom. 😋👍🏻

My partner and I have tried many Indian restaurants when we moved into the area. None could come close to the quality and taste that we were used to until we tried Cardamom. The medium is a bit spicier than I'm used to but I can deal with that when the chicken and lamb is always tender. They are friendly and offer great customer service too!

Called in on off chance and managed to get seated. The service and the meal were excellent, one of the best we have had. The price was very reasonable also. Would recommend to anybody.

Got a takeaway last night, not good. Both my husband and Ieft most of it, within 2 hours we both felt ill. Still feel rough this morning. We've had several curries from here before ranging from excellent to average this was terrible. Will not be using again.

We arrived late afternoon when the place was still being cleaned from the day before. Ales and service was good but it seemed more of a restaurant/night club with a bar. Food menu looked interesting and at reasonable prices.

I do not normally go to sports bars but one morning in New Romney my mum in law suggested we have breakfast there. I was pleasantly surprised. First of all the staff were warm and welcoming, accommodated my son's large special need pushchair with no problem and were quick to serve us. Secondly the breakfast was brilliant, we had the full English and it was cooked perfectly. The price was more than reasonable and the service was great. I felt both the atmosphere and staff made the place warm and welcoming and next time I am in the area I think I will have to go back.

Absolutely love it, cocktails are superb highly recommend Long Island Ice Tea its perfection in a glass. Really modern inside with booths you can sit and relax in. The food is fantastic and is more like art on a plate, very tasty I would recommend the scallops they are to die for. Staff are very friendly welcoming and attentive, happy to please smart uniforms. Also been of a night time, it's not crowded, door staff are friendly. If you go out for a smoke you get given a blanket! Bearing in mind all profits go to charity the owner deserve a medal. Thank you for bringing this bar to New Romney its ideal for older people too. Would highly recommend day or night its well worth the trip out...love it.😊

Tried to order on the app, it was down so I called the store like you used to be able to. You literally cannot place an order on the phone, and you cannot pay over the phone like you used to either. Somehow dominoes got more expensive and less accessible. I was told to try refreshing the app. Really??? Train some of your staff to take phone orders for God sake, no other take away struggles with this, and if you're app goes down we can't order.

0ur son who is autistic loves Dominos and the colour blue. After a long day travelling we went in to this branch to order food. We asked if his pizza could be put in a blue (not red) box and explained the reason why. The guy said no problem. Our order appeared and then disappeared on the screen. We waited longer, eventually they said they'd forgot to put one of the pizzas in. We only ordered two! When the food eventually arrived, you guessed it. His pizza wasn't in a blue box. I then asked about this and they didn't seem to get it. At this point we just gave up and left. The person who served us was nowhere to be seen and the rest of the staff didn't help. Dominos, please sort out your customer service.

Can’t complain at all! first time ordering for here, 30 minute wait on a Saturday night. and the food was so hot that I could see the steam come out of the delivery drivers bag when he opened it.. food was delicious aswell

Have ordered from here a few times. As expected, was busy during the opening 2 weeks, but people still wanted to complain about the wait time. Since then, the service has been brilliant, and they now are offering delivery out as far as Lydd so this is a good addition.

Ordered 2 items for delivery, didn't think they could get that wrong so didn't check it upon delivery only to find out one of the items was incorrect. Too busy to answer the phone so had to drive to the store to get my complete order only to be asked 'if I wanted it?' Well I paid for it already along with delivery charge so doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out what I had turned up for. Of course, no apology either....Expected a rough start due to initial demand but disappointing with poor response from the staff on duty.

About time we got a Dominos in New Romney ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ really fast service with a warm, friendly welcome - even given free ice cream as it was their opening day 👌

Not only was 20 minutes late,but I haven't received an apology from the driver...I believe it's the new one....he just "lost" a £10 like always I've give to the driver. If I'll today score this service,I'll say 1 !!!! PS : Try every day to be the same,you are very good,gave up on wick drivers without personality 💥

If I want to get a takeaway and I'm after a kebab I choose here every time fair price good quality food it gets delivered promptly I simply can't complain.

Ordered on just eat, paid £18.50 each for two pepperoni pizzas, it does say on menu that’s it’s buy one get one free. Did not see the option to get free pizza so thought perhaps it automatically came with it. It did not. Pizzas were very poor quality and over cooked. At best they looked like a cheap supermarket pizzas. Must say £37.00 for two pizzas is extraordinary. You would at least expect them to be of high quality. Such a shame! Also ordered 2 burger meals that were satisfactory. Will definitely not be using again.

Had a massive food poisoning and stomach cramps after eating chicken doner there last Monday. It was my only meal that day, so 100 sure it was the kebab. Meat was burned to a crisp, probably old one after the weekend. Couldn't sleep the whole night and had to call sick next morning. Never again!

What a great find. I stopped in New Romney today to pick up some lunch and came across Foodies. Fresh produce, delicious home-made sandwiches and tasty cakes and coffee. They also have "meal deal" offers and "Cook" frozen ready meals plus other locally produced tasty offerings. Highly recommend to stop by.... Support local business!

We ordered the £7.50 Meal Deal - A choice of Sandwich or Bap, a lovely homemade cake & soft or hot drink. Brilliant Service, Beautiful fresh food, we called ahead! Great Service, Good value - Thank you.

The cakes are so nice here, definitely worth the stop. Service was also very friendly indeed.

Was doing a viewing in the area, and after I finished I planned on going to Costa. Instead I spotted this beautiful store with yummy delights in the window, out of the corner of my eye I saw they were advertising hot drinks and I love to support local businesses! There was hand gel at the door and the 2 ladies in store greeted me and gave me smiles to their eyes behind their masks. Whilst my cappuccino was being made I was given a discount for using a reusable mug. There were soo many amazing smells, local scones, honey, chutney, sausage rolls, cold meats etc There were fridges and freezers full of local produce. The place was spotless and transported me back to my childhood, and the stories my grandparents would tell me about being raised on farms and making everything by hand. Yes, a little store of local food that makes take away hot drinks can create magic like that, in the 2 minutes it took to make my drink and pay :)

Mum got £30 of vouchers after having a gluten free meal that caused her to be ill. When visiting the shop as this appeared to be a one off so would still shop there, we was a family of three and in our bubble and the woman told me to get out as only 2 people allowed in at a time. Then she let me in as she got confused. Also was very confused when using the till and didnt know how much change she had to give. Overall it was a very weird/awkward experience

Lovely variety of meals etc. for every occasion. Good to have backup if you don't want to or can't cook yourself. Really friendly helpful staff.
