A true all tell of a great Italian reataurant. The people are great, the food is delicious, and the experience leaves you with a smile. We went out for a Lebanese Mother’s day and the family enjoyed it. Our server Gary was excellent and accomodating for all our needs in regards to Halal and sensitive matters such as alcohol and gelatine in the food and desserts. I was also happy to hear they had halal options for the mains. Definitely worth a visit back.

Great food and service. The gnocchi and scallop/pork belly were hits. The dessert spread was delicious too. The red and white wine pairing were perfect.

Great food and service. It’s on a pricey side but it’s worth it. We got the carrot salad, pasta special and affogato. All were delicious.

Good service. Salad is amazing! I do like the lavender cocktail, very interesting! For the main course I've ordered the ribs, which comes with very big portion. 🤣

Thank you Macy for your wonderful hospitality. The drinks were amazing. To the chef..the steak dinner was cooked to perfection. Cucci..you are amazing! Can’t wait to come back soon. Sincerely, Stephanie and Boz ❤️

Cucci Restaurant First time here and it was a great experience! The place has a very nice atmosphere, the service was excellent, and the food was fresh and full of flavor. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Nice restaurant in Burlington with great atmosphere. A bit dark for my taste for dinner I couldn't read the menu but not a big deal Good was good but didn't blow me away and priced decently. We enjoyed the apps more then the mains

It’s rare to find a place where atmosphere, cuisine, and service come together in perfect harmony — but this restaurant is one of them. From the very first moment, the impression is striking: a refined interior, thoughtfully designed lighting and music that create a sense of comfort and sophistication. The service is impeccable — attentive yet discreet, on par with the best fine dining establishments. The cuisine deserves a special mention. The duck was perfectly cooked, with a crispy skin and deep, rich flavor. The tartare was fresh and beautifully balanced, with just the right texture and seasoning. This is one of those places you don’t just visit for dinner — you come back for the experience. We’ll definitely return.

Under the expert guidance of award-winning Executive Chef Rafael Covarrubias, who has garnered accolades for his innovative approach to French cuisine, diners can expect a menu that showcases creativity and flavor.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and had an absolutely incredible experience! Noah, our waiter, and the entire restaurant team were exceptionally attentive and caring. From the complimentary champagne to the most delicious oysters and scallops, everything was perfect. The cocktails were true masterpieces, and the service was outstanding. Our main dishes were simply exquisite. Thank you for such a warm welcome — we can’t wait to come back very soon!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Hexagon back in August of this summer, and it was absolutely perfect. From the warm welcome to the last bite of dessert, every detail was spot on. The host and our servers were fantastic and quite honestly, they were THE BEST — very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, with a classy touch of humor! The food was incredible: beautifully presented, creative, and full of flavor. You can tell there’s real passion in the kitchen. We even got to meet the chef, and had photos with the staff, which made the night extra special. Everything about the evening exceeded our expectations — it was the perfect place to celebrate our 11th year Wedding Anniversary! A HUGE thank you to the whole Hexagon team for making it such a memorable night! The food was delicious, but the service and the people is what really made it all so memorable!
Sam L — Google review
We dined at hexagon to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The experience was overall positive, but with some suggestions. Food: we had the chef’s tasting menu. My wife had some food preferences ( no raw food or pork) and they were managed very well. Each course of meal was explained to us and whenever there was raw meat, it was cooked for my wife’s dish alone. The theme was Mexican and the ingredients used were top notch. I would have to especially call out the Wagyu dish which was exceptional. Atmosphere: here is where I expected more from a fine dining experience. The restaurant feel crowded and the ambiance was not of a very fine dining restaurant. You can see all the chefs preparing the meal which is great, but the seating , lighting and overall noise level in the restaurant was not up to par. When spending over 200$ per person, the expectation is a culinary experience which includes the dining atmosphere.
NIDHIN N — Google review
My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary at Hexagon this evening, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, every detail of our experience was flawless. Our server, Fernando, deserves the highest commendation. He was not only professional and genuinely friendly, but also demonstrated a level of attentiveness and care that is exceptionally rare in the service industry. His thoughtful recommendations elevated our dining experience, and his diligence in accommodating my husband’s tree-nut allergy immediately put us at ease. To top it all off, Fernando surprised us with complimentary sparkling wine to congratulate us on our anniversary — an incredibly thoughtful gesture that made the evening feel even more special. What truly impressed us was Fernando’s initiative in going above and beyond — making a short trip to the restaurant next door to bring back my requested cappuccino and an espresso for my husband. To call this “great customer service” would be an understatement; it was truly outstanding. The food was a revelation — each dish a masterpiece of flavour, presentation, and innovation. We started with the Vuelve a la Vida, Heirloom Tomatoes and Pain au Lait. Then, for mains, we had the SRF Wagyu Zabuton and Canadian Prime Striploin. For dessert, we indulged in the Peaches and Corn and the Bunuelo. The atmosphere was elegant yet warm, perfectly complementing the elevated dining experience. Hexagon has mastered the art of balancing exceptional cuisine with impeccable service, creating an environment that feels both luxurious and welcoming. If you have not yet dined at Hexagon, you simply have not lived. This was, without a doubt, the BEST experience we have ever had in terms of food, service, and overall dining. To business owners everywhere: take note. Hexagon has set the standard, and they have set it high.

It was truly amazing cuisine. Every plate was delicious and I will be back. The barkeep made me 3 distinct drinks that were all amazing. The service is Michelin star but the food, the flavour and the atmosphere rule! The food is as good as The Pine and Lucie. The staff were amazing, interactive and made the experience a delight. A 5 star recommend!!!

Been meaning to try this place for a while. Made a reservation and when checking in I was offered a patio seat. Late September weather has been nice so we enjoyed the evening sundown outside. Note, it is beside a public square so there are lots of kids playing and screaming (so if you don’t like that, maybe stay inside). Food and service were fantastic. We ordered off the A La Carte menu. Seemed many tables were there for the tasting menu.
Michael L — Google review
Tuna carpaccio: melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness Back cod: melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness Excellent cocktails, I love the fancy ice cubes. The servings were more generous than I expected and we left pleasantly satisfied. Great service and a good vibe overall. The only reason atmosphere loses a star is because it’s very loud in there and that makes it difficult to hear your dinner mates.
G. M — Google review
Impeccable service, drinks and food was amazing! We had a mocktail that was so unique and flavourful, we didn’t even miss the alcohol. The banana dessert was also filled with so many flavours and textures, couldn’t recommend more! Came back for the tasting menu, it does feel quite pricey for the amount you get, with dessert being additional. Though you can see the tome and effort being put into each plate, food tasted phenomenal but the steak and tartar was very average tasting for what you get. The fish and scallops were very unique!

Nestled in the heart of Oakville, Stoney's Bread Company is a delightful eatery that beckons food lovers with its inviting ambiance and mouthwatering offerings. This bright and airy space specializes in crafting sandwiches on their signature house-baked bread, alongside an array of delicious pizzas and homemade pasta. The interior boasts a chic black-and-white design complemented by warm wooden furniture, creating a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere perfect for enjoying soulful meals.
Tucked into Kerr Village, Stoney’s Bread Company is the kind of place that restores your faith in simple, honest food. You walk in, order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring it to you. No awkward waiting for a server. No dance with the bill. You eat, you enjoy, you leave. Beautiful. Staff were warm and helpful, the kind of people who know their menu and actually want you to enjoy your meal. I went with the Calabria sandwich and a side salad. The sandwich was a knockout. Juicy chicken, bold sauce, balanced flavors. The salad was crisp and fresh with just the right amount of dressing. We sat out on the patio — shaded, covered, with a solid awning that kept the brutal heat at bay. A perfect spot for people watching along the main drag of Kerr Village. Real food, real people, done right.

Great spot to grab a bite to eat. They have a variety of items on their menu, pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches and soups. They also have coffee and sweets You order your food up front, take a seat and they bring it to your table. It was quite busy, but food took less than 15min to come out Food is fresh and flavourful. Portions are a great size. The mains don’t come with any sides, but you can always add a soup. The pecan tart is the best I’ve ever had

Food has been great every single time. Some of my favourites upcoming for the fall season include their squash and pear soup which is unique (not pictured below). Friendly staff and delicious food. Your leftovers will leave you wanting to return for more!

This was an interesting place to grab lunch. It's in Kerr Village, in Oakville. We stopped in on our way to the airport. We arrived just before lunch and service was pretty quick. By the time we were done eating, the place was packed - even though the street outside was shut down due to a water main break. You order, and they bring the food to you. Seating was a bit congested. And tight. I ordered the blackened Atlantic salmon, and my wife had the Calabrese pizza. The salmon surprised me. It was sweet and savory at the same time - definitely different from how I have typically had salmon. It was a good sized portion. I enjoyed it. From the small bite I had of my wife's pizza, it was tasty. A thin, crispy crust with good toppings.
John K — Google review
Food was really good, and portion sizes are very generous. Got the maple salmon salad and quinoa salmon salad. Would definitely recommend these. Food is always top notch. Gets busy at lunch time so not a spot for a quick stop if you’re on a time crunch. Order ahead of time to pickup cause it is definitely worth it.

My wife and I dropped in for lunch. We tried the pepperoni pizza 🍕 and the Nove Chicken sandwich. You have to order your food and then pay for it at the counter. Then they hand you an order number and then you can be seated. This was my first visit so now I know. The Nove chicken sandwich was ultra delicious 🤤. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The ciabatta bun was perfectly toasted and the greens 🥬 and sauce was heavenly. This gets 10 stars all day long. The service also gets 10 stars ✨ easily 👍. The pepperoni 🍕 pizza was freshly made, but the crust was frozen and the pizza sauce was on the sweet side. So I am not a fan of this pizza unfortunately. Nonetheless, the service and the eclectic atmosphere gets a thumbs up from me. Happy eats everyone 😎

Pulled Pork Sandwich is the best we’ve had so far! The ciabatta is surprisingly soft and the pulled pork is so creamy and tender. The Jambalaya Linguine is amazing as well! Very generous on the shrimp, chicken and chorizo toppings. Servings are huge. Loved the ambiance and decor– very cozy and relaxing. We’ll definitely go back!

Plank Restobar, located on Augusta Street, is a trendy spot offering seasonal small plates, gourmet pizza, and bourbon drinks in a rustic setting with vintage signage. The restaurant's rooftop patio, known as 'The Rooftop,' provides stunning city views and a new food menu. Plank focuses on chef-inspired dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and offers an ambiance characterized by great music and a fine selection of beers, wines, and bourbons.
Great variety of American Tapas style options, atmosphere was very casual but quite busy on a Sunday evening. Service was incredibly friendly and made the experience overall memorable and pleasant. We ordered the poke bowl & duck poutine and I was pleased with portion size. I would definitely visit again to try some other menu items.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem on the Oakville Waterfront We decided to try Plank Restobar in Oakville with the family, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. The location is unbeatable—right next to the waterfront, with a cozy, rustic ambience that immediately sets the mood. The interior is full of vintage charm, with eye-catching signs scattered throughout, including my personal favorite: a classic Coca-Cola sign that added a nostalgic touch. From the moment we walked in, our host Ty made us feel welcome. He suggested we start with a few appetizers and decide on mains afterward—a recommendation that paid off. We began with the salmon, which was exceptional: fresh, tender, and beautifully seasoned. The shrimp came next—slightly firm, but the sauce was so flavorful it more than made up for it. Then came the ravioli meatballs and the Pao Bao buns, both of which were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Even though everyone claimed to be full, we couldn’t resist ordering the Margherita pizza with a cheesy jalapeño dip. It arrived hot and fresh, with a juicy base and just the right amount of kick. It was gone in minutes. The food was consistently impressive, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and Ty’s service was top-notch. Plank Restobar is a must-visit if you're in Oakville—great for families, date nights, or just a relaxed evening by the lake.

Had a lovely dinner with the family sitting in the patio. Service was great. Food was delicious and had generous portion size. We ordered a number of tapas and pasta entree for the 4 of us to share and we were stuffed!! We arrived just before the dinner rush on a Saturday night so no wait for us. But when we left the restaurant was packed and there was a wait. Recommend reservations if acceptable or go early.

A beautiful spot by the lake. We had a great experience here. The cocktails were delicious. Our meals were amazing. We both had the steak and fries. We will definitely return to try something else.

Wow, this restaurant was really wonderful!! We had such great service & the food is delicious!! The cauliflower fritters were SO GOOD & we were quite amazed at the size of them & just how tasty they were!! Highly recommend the Fresca Salad as well, which was really flavorful (loved the mint, mango & watermelon combination)!! And the Rose Garden Pizza too, which my grandmother ordered & I was lucky she let me "steal" a couple of pieces lol Very delicious!! Everything was fresh & tasty!! And the atmosphere was truly charming. Servers were friendly & the margaritas were excellent!! Overall a great place!! Will for sure be back again!!
Andrea S — Google review
This place is interesting I had the risotto and some ditaliano pizza mind you I think this restaurant was an American styled bar and grill. The pizza was great perfect temperature the sauce was savoury and the ingredients were nicely complementing each other overall a great pizza. The risotto had some flaws it had a great balanced texture and it was cooked perfectly however, the saltines of the cheese didn’t go well with the dish and the simplicity of the lettuce didn’t suit the plate either. We were seated and served with great care, and the plates got to the table fairly quick. The aura of the place is a lot like any other American bar and grill however structured in such a way that made it quite cozy the problem with this is that when there’s a lot of people the place can get really loud making it hard to talk because all the sound is bouncing off the walls making everyone speak louder and louder to communicate to those around you. What I think could really take this place to the next level is a little re arranging and having more appropriate dishes to choose from. Overall I think this place isn’t bad at all to go to if you are walking by or in the area.
Antonio J — Google review
Visited for the very first time on a weeknight and fell in love with the food. It was super packed for a Thursday night and I was glad I had made a reservation. We chose to sit at the patio, even though it was cloudy. Every item we ordered was delicious. Our most favorite was the Fresca salad. The Bao buns were melting soft! And the whip it good was perfect! The Salmon torch blow could be better. Definitely coming back!

Fine dining restaurant
Nestled at the end of Lakeshore Road, Pasquale's Trattoria is a charming family-owned Italian restaurant that has been delighting locals since 2009. This hidden gem in Oakville offers a delightful blend of modern decor and traditional Italian warmth, making it an inviting spot for any meal. The ambiance is enhanced by tasteful overhead lamps and framed photographs showcasing Italy’s stunning landscapes, from Rome to Tuscany.
Now, this was a very positive experience, and after some investigation - I want to claim that Pasquale's Trattoria in Oakville is the best restaurant in the West of Toronto area. The "best" may mean different things to different people, and here I refer purely to the quality of food, which is exceptional and suggests deep knowledge and care about the produce and tradition. The same applies to the staff, who were all mature experienced people with deep understanding of what they are doing (and serving). We visited dozens of highly rated restaurants in the area, and Pasquale's stood out very clearly. The photos show the small room, so you probably need to pre-book if you want to visit at a popular time (we came at 12 noon on a Friday, so it was half-empty, yet there was no compromise on the food they served). The menu is classical Italian, with most items you will recognise in most authentic Italian restaurants. But there was quality you would seldom find even in Italy... All portions were very generous, so you need to be quite hungry if you plan even two courses. Calamari Fritti had a heavenly batter, and a remarkable twist of flash-fried spinach. Breaded Sicilian Eggplant was also very good: the eggplant took all the flavours of provolone cheese and tomato sauce. The two mains we had were the Fresh Sole fillet with egg wash, white wine and lemon sauce, and the Veal Calogero (with fontana cheese, fresh tomato and demi glace). The sole especially was very good: quite large so it was meaty and flaky (not thin and falling apart as some ex-frozen sole fillets often are), with the white sauce adding freshness and flavour. Demi place made the veal dish quite rich, but choosing the broccoli stems (Rapini) with it was smart: it cut through the deep sauce well. This was a high-level cuisine, and other items on their menu promised the same experience (mins you, the menu you see on Google isn't full). One of the photos shows the steep staircase to their toilet area, so if you have impaired mobility - try to prepare and not need to go.

Great restaurant for a special night out or celebration. Exceptional service and atmosphere. Very popular so better call ahead for reservation. Food portions were big but the pastas were a bit too al dente for us. We really liked the charcuterie board though!

Having dined here several times, I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is absolutely outstanding, but it’s the hospitality of the staff that truly sets this place apart. Mr. Pasquale is the kindest, most gracious host—welcoming every guest as though they were a dear friend visiting his home. One Saturday evening several months ago, I mistakenly made a reservation at another restaurant, intending it to be here. It was to be a special occasion and there were 5 of us. Despite the mix-up, they went above and beyond to accommodate us, offering seats at the bar until a table became available. This gesture perfectly reflects the warmth, care, and commitment to service that defines this restaurant. Truly, this is a special place where you’re made to feel like royalty. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do!

My husband and I had a wonderful night out at this restaurant. We didn't want to fight traffic going to Toronto and so I was looking for somewhere not too far from Mississauga. I am very happy having found this intimate and cozy place. The food, service and ambiance was lovely. Our server was friendly and helpful. I can see why there are so many positive reviews for this place. Will definitely be going back again!!

Jac's Bistro is a charming family-owned establishment that beautifully marries rustic Italian and French cuisines, creating a delightful dining experience. Located on the trendy Kerr Street in Oakville, this bistro invites you to savor dishes like slow-roasted tomato soup, steak frites, and an array of delectable pastas. The airy ambiance features both a cozy indoor dining area and an inviting patio, making it perfect for families or anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed meal.
This cozy spot has been serving Kerr Street for 14 years, yet this was my first time finally trying their food, and it didn’t disappoint! Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. The food was fresh and flavourful, and we enjoyed dining on their patio, which seems to be a bit of a hidden spot. While it’s not the cheapest place in town, it’s certainly fair for the quality. We especially loved the chicken and smoked salmon wraps, and the shrimp linguine was hearty, delicious, and very filling.

We expected better food. Definitely we never come here again Our observations - inside, nice and clean - service - no complains - We were there for lunch. Ordered two soups and two steaks. Soups are OK. Some comments about the main course. Steak comes only with fries. No salads. We have got impression that fried Potato was from the fridge just warmed up. It was soggy, no crunch at all. Steak was burned out. One side completely black likes charcoal, not eatable at all. In order to eat remaining meat we had to cut out the layer of charcoal. Looks like the cook has his own understanding about "Well Done" steak. For two soups and two steaks we paid 100$. For that money you can find for lunch something eatable and enjoy lunch without frustration.

I had a great first experience at Jacs Bistro during lunch with a friend. The atmosphere was cozy, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal, though perhaps a bit intimate for a date night. The Grilled Chicken and Brie I ordered was mouth-watering, with perfectly balanced flavors and tender chicken. My friend’s steak looked so delicious that I’m already planning to try it on my next visit. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Great place to go for dinner. Great menu that changed seasonally and an excellent wine menu. Friendly service and a very cozy environment. I have been there many times and have always consistently had great meals.

We went there for a Christmas dinner with a group of 6. The server was knowledgeable, attentive and with good sense of humour. Our drinks were served quickly, but we had to wait a good while for the food to arrive. However it was all worthwhile. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The portions were perfect. We all shared amazing salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. The server had no problem giving us separate bills. The restaurant has great ambiance and made a long drive from the city worth it. It’s a beautiful place with charm and amazing food and service. Would go back anytime.

It took me a while to get to this place tucked away in the middle of the Kerr st. Strip. It's location belies its elegance and understated charm. It's fancier than it looks from the outside and its warmly but dimly lit interior softens up an austere and well proportioned dining room with a semi open kitchen at the back. The design of the room and the service here scream professionalism and attention to detail. The focus is on the food as it should be. We ordered a fish main and steak main. Both were cooked flawlessly to exact order, extremely generous portions and dripping with clear juices and butter. I would say that the bernaise sauce on the steak was maybe rather heavy on the salt or perhaps just over reduced and I would get it on the side for dipping next time. The total bill was surprisingly modest. There are far more expensive places in Oakville that can't get this good a sear on a thick piece of arctic char but are charging twice what these guys are for the same dish.

Ok. Wow. What a fantastic diner. The service was exceptional. Good was wonderful. Had the Calamari Fritti. Steak Frits. And the Salmon. Everything was excellent. Our server was charming. Very attentive. She had a wonderful sense of humour.

We had an amazing night — thank you so much, Jess! The food was absolutely fantastic and the service couldn’t have been better. A special thank you for the surprise dessert and prosecco to help us celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary — such a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more special. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

I had a great experience at this restaurant—both the food and service were impressive. The crab cakes and mussels were outstanding, exceeding my expectations with their flavor and freshness. While the veal Marsala wasn’t quite to my taste, everything else on the menu made up for it. The real star of the night was the baked apple tart—easily a 10/10 and an absolute must-have. Overall, a well-executed meal with a few standout moments that made the visit worthwhile.

My fiancée and I had an absolute blast celebrating our anniversary here, the place was beautiful, service was great and the food was AMAZING! From the little and warm bread bites with butter, to the Salmon with mango salsa and of course the star of the night: the braised short rib pizza! This literally has been the best pizza I’ve had in my life! We will definitely come back and I highly recommend everyone to try this place!

I have eaten quite a few times at Trattoria for dinner, and find the food delicious and serving sizes and portions wonderful for the price. The staff are always welcoming and attentive! But what I’d really like to focus my review on was hosting a bridal shower in the main dining space on a Sunday afternoon. Linda, the manager, was prompt with her replies and assistance in planning and organizing my event. The staff on the day of (hostess & servers) were extremely helpful! Food came out in the perfect timing, everything was delicious and to our guests’ liking, with dairy-free and full vegan options for those who needed them. Overall the event went smoothly and everyone involved did a wonderful job! Would highly recommend Trattoria Timone for your future events.

Not to be missed. Chef/Owner Mike Fronteddu leads this amazing team front and back of the house. Incredible pizzas and exquisite pastas. Warm, welcoming and efficient service just adds to this great experience. It is quite frankly a beautiful restaurant. Trattoria Timone Ristorante consistently delivers a reliable dining experience. Having visited multiple times, the restaurant maintains a high standard of consistency, particularly in its attentive and punctual service. The dining room is typically bustling, creating a lively atmosphere, and the restrooms are always impeccably clean and well-stocked, a detail that certainly enhances the overall comfort of the visit. While Trattoria Timone offers a solid selection of Italian dishes, the menu largely features standard, familiar offerings that many consider old favourites and comfort meals. The preparations are executed well, providing a dependable and satisfying experience. However, an infusion of culinary creativity could benefit the restaurant by introducing slightly elevated menu options. This would not only appeal to diners seeking new experiences but also complement their strong foundation of beloved classics. Overall, Trattoria Timone Ristorante is a commendable choice for those seeking a consistent and well-managed dining experience with dependable service and a comfortable setting. With its established reputation for comforting and familiar Italian fare, the opportunity to introduce a few innovative or elevated dishes could truly enhance their offerings and cater to an even broader range of palates.

7 Enoteca exudes a fashionable atmosphere with its inviting wooden decor, elegant marble bar, and chic orange leather furnishings. This eatery specializes in mouthwatering thin-crust pizzas and delectable pasta dishes. Their Neapolitan pizza oven, crafted from volcanic stone, ensures an authentic taste experience, complemented by imported ingredients straight from Naples.
Giving this a 4.8 out of 5. We tried the Quattro formaggi, grilled tiger shrimp and tiramisu! My lady had a Manhattan and I had a negroni. Drinks were amazing and absolutely delicious. Starter and pizza was to die for! I would say the tiramisu needs a little more love. Tad on the unsweetened side, but still relatively tasty! Ambience was on point and there service was impeccable! Great cozy spot to share with your lover or group of friends!

We visited 7 Enoteca for a birthday brunch with friends and had a nice time overall. The food — we tried the pizza and pasta — was solid, nothing overly fancy but definitely enjoyable. What really stood out to me wasn’t the food, though, but the atmosphere. The space has this interesting semi-underground, cave-like vibe that makes it feel a bit more unique and cozy than your typical brunch spot. It’s a great place for a weekend gathering or a small celebration. The service was friendly and accommodating, especially since we had a child with us — they made sure we were seated comfortably. In terms of pricing, it’s about what you’d expect from a Western-style restaurant — not super budget-friendly, but fair for what you’re getting. It's more about the experience and setting than pure value. The only downside is parking can be a bit tricky, since it's located in Oakville’s Delta area, where office buildings and busy surroundings mean fewer available spots. If you're looking for a brunch spot with character, a relaxed vibe, and decent food, this place is worth checking out — especially for a casual weekend outing or a small special occasion.

A nice place to go for a more upscale dinner whether it’s a celebration or date night. Service was excellent and the decor was quite fancy. Food options are solid too. Depending on what type of pizza person you are this may be right up your alley. Got the Matteo pizza and it’s made neopolitan style with mascarpone cheese and prosciutto. The flavour was excellent and the dough had a nice chew to it. If you don’t like floppier pizza and no crisp then it’s probably not for you. The braised lamb main was excellent as well. Very tender and flavourful. The way they made it was kind of similar to eating pulled pork. Location is great too given it’s located in the heart of Oakville so it’s very lively in the area and a nice place to go walk around.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having our 2 year wedding anniversary dinner here. What an amazing atmosphere, incredible stuff and out of this world food. We're both vegetarian but they had wonderful items available to choose from and such delicious food! They gave us the choice of sitting inside or outside. We chose to sit outside and then changed our minds walking to our table to sit inside as it was more romantic and cozy inside. They were super polite and I honestly can't wait to go back! See you again very soon!

Absolutely outstanding experience! I came in for dinner and ordered the Margherita pizza and the braised lamb presse—both were phenomenal. The pizza had the perfect balance of fresh mozzarella, basil, and a beautifully charred crust, while the lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender with incredible depth of flavor. What truly made the evening exceptional, though, was our server, Ivan M. His knowledge of wine was impressive—he gave thoughtful recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal. We had a bottle of the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino from Pian delle Ginestre, which was beautifully structured and elevated the entire dining experience. Ivan was professional, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what he does. One of the best servers I’ve ever had, hands down. If you’re looking for amazing Italian food and top-tier service, this place is a must. Ask for Ivan—you won’t be disappointed!

I generally don't write reviews online. However, I have enjoyed my time eating here each time I've been with family or friends. We came to 7 originally when the restaurant first opened back in 2010 and it was pleasant and memorable and we met the owner, I believe he was a Polish gentleman with longer hair but not sure if he's still involved (we still have the original menus :)). Regardless, the food here is great and reasonably priced. The pizza does not disappoint and there is a good selection of apps and wines. I visited this past Thursday with my mom to dine on the patio and decided to go for the grilled garlic shrimp as it was a favorite of mine from when the restaurant first opened. I thought to myself let's see if it's as good as it was when I first had it. I didn't think it could get better but I was pleasantly surprised. Although it was more garlic which I enjoy it may have surpassed the first time I got it when it used to come on a skewer and with different seasoning. Great start to the meal and I then ended up getting the Roma pizza. Great quality sauce and the crust as always is well done and never burnt. Servers were attentive and professional. We hope the restaurant will maintain it's great reputation and standards of service. Please give our regards to the team of chefs and the owners.

Nestled in the heart of Oakville, Noble Bistro & Seafood is a charming bistro that brings a delightful farm-to-fork experience to seafood lovers. Since its inception in 2016 by owners Augi De Oliveira and James Baker, this eatery has become a local favorite for its inviting ambiance and rustic decor featuring live edge wooden tables. The menu boasts an impressive array of fresh, sustainable seafood options, including mouthwatering lobster bisque, crispy calamari (both grilled and fried), P.
Lovely dinner before catching a show at Oakville Centre…. Service is friendly and the seafood is fresh and cooked perfectly. We started with grilled calamari and salad and had the linguine pescatore and paella mains. The chocolate lava cake was not so much lava as spongy but was delicious…

Have been looking forward to trying Noble as there was a Noble Bistro previously in my neighbourhood. We generously received a gift card in August 2022 & when we arrived this week, there is a piece of paper at front desk that indicates gift cards purchased before October 2022 are no longer valid due to a change in ownership. This would have given us about a month to use our gift card. We decided to stay as we made reservations. Our server was very kind and attentive. Our food was excellent. A bit on the pricier end of things but to be expected with inflation. The lobster linguine is a decent portion size and quite filling. The lobster shell was left in the pasta as decorative, I suppose, but it was not necessary. The restaurant was quiet and fairly simple inside. Overall, excellent food and worth going back. However, it bothers me that our gift card was not accepted given the short time span. The new owner maintains the same restaurant name and menu. At the very least, it should be publicly shared on their website or at the time of purchase. For this reason, we will likely not go back as we do not feel valued.

We celebrated a family birthday party in the restaurant’s private room recently (for 20 ppl). Great, large & intimate room with dedicated staff, bar, washrooms, direct access from outside (down a staircase) & inside, sound system, large TV, Wifi access, coat room & ceiling party lights! All you need for a great private event!!! The staff was extremely accommodating, friendly, helpful, organized and generally amazing!!! We were allowed to go in a few hours earlier to decorate. Food & drinks were delicious & beautifully served! I would highly recommend it!!!

Absolutely amazing seafood. Price slightly higher than the average restaurants, but definitely worth it. Had their seabass, seafood platter, lobster pasta and bisque. The grilled calamari and scallops were cooked to perfection, not something easy to find. The stars are 100% contributed to the food quality. Service, staff, environment would have brought this down to a 3/4 stars, but I'll try not to pull down the rating during this hard time.

The place is nice, quiet with some lounge music on the background. The meals were really tasty and have an appealing presentation. Everything was great except that we asked for two cokes and they actually served 2 glasses of coke from 1 and a half (or something close) cans so we were not that happy with that but other than that I highly recommend it.

Had been in Oakville for a few days and was really waiting for an opportunity to make it in for dinner. Did not disappoint, the service was very friendly and attentive with good recommendations. It's nice to find such a positive place, especially when I had looked forward to the menu. The scallops and grilled shrimp were bang on. Presentation wonderful and the king crab was phenomenal. Worth the price. Very grateful for the meal.

Had a wonderful dinner. The restaurant is pristinely clean, set up very safely for these crazy times we're living, and most importantly the food is AMAZING. Did I mention the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff? A wine was suggested to us that went perfectly with the devine calamari and soft shell crab appetizers as well as the lobster pasta I had. Everyone there creates a calm and cool atmosphere and are genuinely kind. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for an impromptu weekday night dinner. Already booked a reservation to go again.

Ritorno is a charming Italian trattoria that beautifully captures the essence of traditional family dining. Owned by the talented mother-daughter duo, Julia Hanna and her daughter, this cozy restaurant pays homage to beloved Italian recipes while celebrating the warmth of family gatherings. The inviting atmosphere features a unique "nonna wall," showcasing grandmothers who inspire their culinary creations.
Good environment and staff are nice. The food is delicious, fresh, generous portions and fairly priced. The owner came to talk to us, it’s a very pleasant environment. I’d say, the first impression makes a huge difference. Sometimes, people’s welcoming behaviour can make people come back and I’m definitely going back.

Great service, good wine, generous portions, and good food. Some attention to detail stops this from being a truly great meal. Again portions are huge. The brie was well paired flavor wise. A little scrap of plastic wrap still on the cheese is an unpleasant miss at these prices, again, lack of attention. Mains, pretty decent. The sauces were excellent. The gnocchi are some of the best I’ve ever had, including some pretty fancy restaurants. The veal could have used more tenderizing, and the breading was a bit soggy. If breading is already falling off while it’s plated and before it reaches me something isn’t right. Overall a good meal, helped immensely by wonderful service, but I think for the price I’d have wanted a little more attention to detail with the food. Gnocchi were world class though and kinda save it.

Tried this place for the first time. Lots of parking around the area. Our server (David) was great, he gave us a bit of history of the restaurant and gave recommendations on the menu. The gnocchi was tasty and fresh. The seafood pasta (pescatore) was delicious except that it’s salty. I will still comeback and give it another try.

A big thank you to the entire team, and to Julia as well—it's always a pleasure when she’s in and stops by the table to say hello. You all make every visit a wonderful experience! I've been here a few times over the years, the meals have been delicious and kept us coming back. I had a fantastic risotto, one of my dining companions loved his seafood pasta, lots of great food overall. The only miss I would say was the two cream based dishes, the limoncello mussels and gorgonzola gnocchi. The cream muted out both of those dishes so much so the limoncello was not particularly detectable, and the same with the gorgonzola gnocchi. The gnocchi themselves were delicious, but the person who has the gnocchi had me try them to see if she was served Alfredo by mistake. I could smell the gorgonzola, but agreed, could barely taste it. Not that either dish was bad or unpalatable, but the primary flavour you order that dush for was muted. Perhaps we should have mentioned the gorgonzola st the time. It's a bustling place, extremely popular so the volume can get a little high sometimes, but that's a good sign. If you come here you will have a very good meal, there are lots of enticing options.

Went on a Friday with My son and was served by David. He was lovely and took such good care of us. Ordered calamari to start, was very tender and delicious. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive and incredibly helpful. David took the time to explain the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring that we had the best dining experience possible. His friendly demeanor and professional service truly stood out, making our visit even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. It's clear that the chefs put a lot of care into their craft, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. Overall, ritorno exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of a great atmosphere, outstanding service from David, and mouthwatering food makes this a must-visit restaurant. I can't wait to return and try more of their amazing dishes

Ristorante Sotto Sotto Oakville is a polished gem that brings the essence of traditional Italian dining to life. With a menu brimming with classic dishes like pizza, pasta, and delectable desserts, this upscale eatery offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for both romantic evenings and family gatherings. Guests are welcomed by attentive staff who enhance the jovial vibe of the restaurant. The delightful scent of freshly baked bread mingles with rich olive oil, making it hard to resist trying everything on offer.
We held our wedding dinner for 70 guests at Sotto Sotto Oakville in October 2024, and from our first meeting with Fabio, we knew we’d found the perfect venue. After considering a few options, Fabio’s warmth, approachability, and genuine desire to help us create the celebration of our dreams made it clear there was no need to look further. He curated an exceptional menu, which we had the pleasure of tasting before the big day, and accommodated all dietary restrictions and allergies with ease. The table décor he suggested was elegant and classy, and he ensured our seating arrangements were exactly as we requested. Our guests praised the exceptional food and drinks, the friendly, attentive service, and the overall atmosphere of the evening. Huge thanks to Fabio and the incredible staff at Sotto Sotto Oakville - you exceeded our expectations and ensured our wedding celebration was unforgettable! We can’t wait to return for many more memorable meals in the future.

I was really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. The grilled prawn dish came with just one baby potato—cut into pieces—which felt both sparse and poorly presented. The vegetables were overcooked, and the prawn itself was completely lacking in flavour. The risotto tasted like something straight out of a commercial kitchen, with no depth or freshness. It’s a shame, because the ambiance is lovely and the cocktails were quite good. But overall, the meal was very disappointing, especially given the price point. I hope they reconsider the quality and portioning of their dishes moving forward.

Every time in this iconic restaurant is an unforgettable Dining Experience!!! Sotto Sotto Oakville is truly a gem. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere that blends timeless elegance with genuine warmth. The service is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive—and every member of the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and valued. The food? Simply extraordinary. Each dish is a celebration of authentic Italian cuisine, prepared with the freshest ingredients and an expert touch. The pastas are rich and perfectly al dente, the seafood is fresh and delicately balanced, and the desserts—especially the tiramisu—are divine. You can tell that every plate is crafted with passion and pride. The wine list is thoughtfully curated and pairs beautifully with the menu, offering selections that cater to both seasoned connoisseurs and casual wine lovers alike. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, Sotto Sotto Oakville offers an experience that’s both luxurious and heartwarming. It’s rare to find a restaurant that feels this refined and this personal at the same time. Can’t wait to return!

Came here with a group for a 40th birthday on September 12. Service was excellent, our server was great. Cocktails were great, but the food was a major letdown. My family member and I both ordered the beef tenderloin and both came out looking beautiful and cooked exactly right, but the taste was very salty. I took a couple bites of the beef and rapini on the plate and it was so salty it was inedible, I had to chug my water. I raised the issue with the waiter who took the meal back, only for my exact piece of meat to come back out. They did not prepare a fresh plate, instead rinsed my meat and further cooked it (it was not medium rare anymore) and whereas it was less salty, it was still too salty. The rapini was exactly the same, super salty. We received a dessert platter as apologies but honestly should have just had the meal comped instead, especially for that steep of a price to pay for essentially salt. For a fine dining establishment, very disappointed in the food.

We had a reservation for 8:15 only to be seated at 8:50. Got charged 10$ each to have a 6” cake served on a plate for a friend’s birthday dinner. The server didn’t print the bill to show what we were charged for. Server barely checked up on us. The food was decent but took forever to come out.

We went to Sotto Sotto in Oakville last year for our anniversary, it was not the best dining experience and missed the mark on several levels, I had contacted the manager at the time and shared my honest and candid feedback to her. Well we went yesterday again for our anniversary and I can happily tell you that WOW what a change, we had an amazing dining experience !! They have brought in Fabio the General Manager from the Sotto Sotto downtown location to really change how they deliver and provide a customer focused dining experience. Fabio and the team he is leading is really making an impact, if you have not gone recently you should give them a try !! Excellent experience and we will go back again !!

Kinda racist, I didn’t receive a birthday cake although other guests received it while they were eating I was told mine was coming. I waited over 20 minutes. Still didn’t get it. I also had to wait about 25 minutes to get into the restaurant although I booked a reservation for six. it was clear my demographic wasn’t what was to be expected as I am a black individual. I was not treated as priority. I was also lied to not that I care about the cake, but it was my birthday and they told me I would be getting it so it’s very unfortunate that something like this still exist.

Nestled in a bustling plaza on Cornwall Road, Harpers Landing has been a cherished community spot since its inception in 2013. This light-filled bistro boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that create an inviting atmosphere, complemented by comfortable leather booths and versatile seating options. The recent renovations have introduced a three-season covered patio and updated furnishings, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Nothing but compliments!! Came for a birthday, one of our best restaurant experiences yet — mostly due to the outstanding service. Ivan helped us easily change our seating area, and made sure we were extra comfortable. Took care of each of our needs, and even informed of complimentary birthday dessert, that guy is amazing at his job! The food and ambience absolutely hit the spot, quantities were great and so many new flavours. Can’t wait to come back again some day!

Friday August 29th finished our dinning experience at Harper’s. Ordered from Happy Hour menu. The bill came out regular pricing. The food was charged regular price. For example pizza regular price is $19.50, we never got the $15 happy hour pricing. None of the foods we received the discounted Happy Hour price. Either the staff needs better training or this was intentional over billing. I’m very disappointed in this tactic. I would avoid this location and go to a more honest located like Beertown next door. I noticed less and less customers are coming to this location probably because of this reason.

We had a bit of a rocky start when our original server brought out a dish containing an ingredient we specifically asked to avoid—despite her reassurance that it is not contained within the food item.. Thankfully, Joshua stepped in and completely turned the experience around. He was incredibly polite, helpful, and made sure to personally double-check with the kitchen before bringing us a replacement dish. His kind demeanor really brightened our mood . Overall, staff and food was great, the atmosphere and internal design of the restaurant was lovely and spacious, highly recommend :)

Disappointed in this visit. Food was good though but portions tiny for the $$$, those of us that had burgers got about 11 fries to go with it. Service was not good, asked for no tomato on the kids burger but still ended up with a smashed tomato on it so the kid didn’t eat it because everything tasted like tomato.

This isn't a good one. A girlfriend and I decided to pop in here because my previous experience was great. This time around not so much.... So let's start off with waiting for a table. We waited a good 30 minutes even though there were several tables close to the front that were empty. I asked and I was told by the manager that they had reservations meanwhile from start to finish from my visit this time those same tables were empty the entire time so who they were reserved for God only knows. When we're finally seated the hostess brought us to the table had wiped it off but there was no cutlery glasses napkins etc nothing set up. The hostess then comes back with the water jug asking if we want water and I said sure that would be nice but we need glasses and cutlery still so unless if you're pouring the water on the table we need stuff. She apologized and then went and got us some cutlery and glasses but still she had sat us down at a table that wasn't actually ready. We order our meals. The one good thing I'll say is the bread was good. I get the cabinara pasta without the bacon. My friend ordered the prime rib. It was the smallest quantity of pasta for $24 I've ever seen! After 5 bites it was gone and my egg was burnt! As you can see from the photo the crusty dark skin around the egg looked exactly like that on the bottom of it. It was a completely burnt fried egg. My friend's prime rib was cold she got another one and it came out piping hot but I guess the seasoning was too spicy for her. Our server was friendly but she was more concerned about the table next to us with 5 people who were ordering wine. My friend ordered a cocktail and the waitress just put it down and literally turned away from her didn't even acknowledge her. We could definitely tell the server was only concerned about tips and not providing quality service. So after my friend complains the manager comes back over to our table and asked what was wrong. We told her she then proceeded to give us a 20% discount. I really don't think that the discount was enough to compensate for all the mishaps with this visit to Harper's landing. After everything is said and done we will not be coming back. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and I'm very disappointed with the quality of service and the food at this location. I've done lots of restaurant reviews as you can see from my profile and I have been to a lot of great establishments. With that being said this place is definitely overpriced and does not meet my standards especially for a boogie place in Oakville.. Do better!

I wanted to give this a good rating... But...... 730 reservation.... We had to remind them of the type of table we'd requested. Strike 1 It was busy but not crazy. Took some time to get our first round of drinks. Apps finally came, just ok.... We stacked our dishes waiting for a table clear to order more.... This finally happened. We ordered more food.... We had to ask for new plates and cutlery. Had to ask for water... Never did they come back and offer more. Took forever to get our food. By this time the building had thinned out significantly. We finished eating, and paid. We had enough food left on the table to be offered takeaway boxes.... It's kinda like we'd paid so we were no longer relevant. Overall, no attention to detail, service slow, food mediocre. Not great customer service. But I will say one gentleman that was helping out was amazing. Wish we'd had him all night. What happened? You didn't look understaffed.

The restaurant is spacious and quite modern. I was very excited because when we arrived, more than half of the restaurant was already full. So I assume the restaurant must be quite good. The staff was friendly and could suggest food choices, however she forgot to give the cutlery to my husband. and we had to wait. We ordered Korean cauliflower, tuna poke bowl, Landing fish tacos, and Moroccan curry chicken, beer, wine, and sangria. The sauce on the Korean cauliflower was not mixed well so some parts were a bit too salty. The fish tacos were good but I prefer the soft shell ones. The moroccan chicken was okay. The tuna poke bowl had good ingredients but they still served a bad avocado part, the sauce is the same with the fiah taco. Overall, I would rate the food as just average for my taste.

Food was good, we had brunch. The chicken waffle was very tasty and so was the chicken. I love the big patio, gave it a 4 stars only because we had bees flying all over us but, this isn't the restaurant fault this is mother nature at its best :)The staff service was pleasant and attentive.

Buca Di Bacco is a charming old-world Italian trattoria located in downtown Oakville. The restaurant offers a rustic Italian atmosphere with a contemporary touch, creating a warm and inviting ambiance for diners. Known for its delicious cuisine, the establishment serves up generous portions of rustic Italian fare and boasts an impressive selection of Italian wines. Guests can expect exceptional, friendly service while enjoying the delightful background music that adds to the overall experience.
We came on Thursday night, it was empty. Our server Olivia was amazing, knowledgeable, fast. Food was delicious, we ordered pizza Rapini and special pasta with lobster and shrimp + buratta and arugula salad for appetizer. Good size portions, everything was fresh. Wine selection is great too. Nice authentic Italian place in Oakville!

What a fantastic dinner! We came with a group to celebrate a birthday and had such a memorable experience. It had been a while since our last visit, but this was a great reminder that we need to come back more often. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the live music added a great vibe, and the service was excellent—our waiter took wonderful care of us all evening. The veal was a standout—perfectly cooked and full of flavor, just like an Italian mom’s scaloppine or something straight from Italy. You can tell the kitchen team really knows what they’re doing. Highly recommend!

Found this place by fluke when googling Italian restaurants in Oakville and saw the menu which intrigued me. The servers were so friendly and felt as if it was a family owned establishment which I loved as it seemed authentically Italian. We orders the veal parm, caccio e Pepe gnocchi and 2 drinks. The food portions were wonderful for the price and tasted great. They even had a chilli oil decanter that they left on the table which added a fabulous flavour to the dishes (if an Italian place doesn’t have chili oil I question its authenticity haha). Atmosphere was friendly and felt classy. Great spot for good Italian food priced well and with great service for date night or friends and family. Will be coming back again!

I went to celebrate my birthday on a rainy Wednesday and it was very nice. Server was super friendly and eager to serve, ambience was nice, I loved that there was Italian music playing in the background. Place is small but better that way, it feels very cozy. They have an amazing selection of Italian wines but I chose the Prosecco instead and the temperature was perfect. Food was delicious, appetizers, main course, dessert all amazing. I wish they had the touch of bringing a candle for me to blow and make a wish on my special day but I still did it with the tea light that was on the table :)

Soontorn Bahn Thai is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Towne Square, offering an authentic taste of Thailand with a modern twist. As you step through the wide wooden door adorned with velvet curtains, you're greeted by a chic ambiance that features vibrant hot pink lighting and cozy circular booths. The dimly lit interior creates an intimate atmosphere perfect for enjoying traditional Thai dishes while lounging on benches equipped with triangular pillows for added comfort.
Fantastic Thai food and amazing service! We visited Soontorn Bahn Thai Restaurant in Oakville and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, with a nice seating layout and soft, cozy lighting that made the evening even more enjoyable. We ordered the Tamarind Curry with Chicken, Green Curry, and Yellow Curry — all three were absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The food was not only tasty but also very reasonably priced. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and fast. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for authentic Thai food in a comfortable setting. We'll definitely be back!

We visited around 6:00 PM — place wasn’t too busy, just three tables taken, under 20 people in total. Zero wait time. Our server came by quickly and took our order efficiently. The vibe? Dark but cozy. Not too loud, not too quiet — a good balance. We ordered the chicken Pad Thai, mango salad, and chicken satay. The Pad Thai had a nice sweet-tangy balance. I asked for basil and cilantro on it, but the server pushed back, saying it wouldn’t be good. I get wanting to preserve authenticity, but I’m the one eating it — let me have my herbs. That said, they did catch my no-nuts request and omitted peanuts from the mango salad too. Nice attention to detail there. Overall: good food, good atmosphere. I’d recommend it.

Recommended by a friend, and got introduced to hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve had in Canada, there I said it. Firstly with the location & ambience; it’s set in a nice pocket in city of Oakville, where people gather to eat, drink & enjoy the remainder of the late sunsets. Once you step in, you’re in a restaurant that breathes elegance. Modern decor & mood-lighting across the restaurant with tables able to host a couple, or larger parties of 6-8 with ease. The ambience in the restaurant is sophisticated, intimately lit and would be a great place for a date-night. Service was fantastic, prompt, constantly taken care of - I don’t think my glass of water was left empty for more than 2 minutes. And finally - for the best part of the restaurant, the food. There are very few restaurants that do this, but every single thing ordered on the menu tasted out of this world. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would - because it deserves it. We ordered deep fried prawn rolls, yellow curry, green curry, Pad Thai, and their mango sticky rice. I can’t highlight any single one since each dish blew me out of the water. Their (milk)teas are also a great add-on the side. Definitely recommend, and would see me visit this place again to try items which I didn’t get to the first time around. :)

This restaurant has the potential to be great but if it fails on every criteria except for atmosphere. The elderly woman who served us was pushy, misleading, stubborn, and rude. When I asked her if the soup was spicy, she said no. False. It came out with whole cut chillis in it and was so spicy I choked and couldn’t eat it. We told the server and instead of offering a replacement, or to remove it off the bill, the woman said we can’t “return it” and that the only thing she could do is to pack it ip for us to take home. I then asked her if they had pag kra pao for my main, and she said yes, but what she brought out didn’t include minced beef or the fried egg that is a key part of the dish at every other Thai restaurant I’ve been to. The food lacked flavor and had more huge pieces of bell peppers and broccoli than it did the (sliced/cubed) meat. When I asked for a knife to cut the massive bell peppers, she took 10 mins to bring me one and had so much attitude as she did. We came to celebrate a birthday but I will never come back here again.

I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I found a hair in my food, which was unappetizing and concerning. I brought it to the staff’s attention, but the response was minimal. The rest of the meal was average, and while mistakes can happen, I would have appreciated a more thoughtful response from the restaurant. I hope this was a one-time issue and that better hygiene practices are followed moving forward.

Food is great! We ordered the sweet and sour red snapper fish which we think is the best one on the menu! Make sure you order the whole fish! They sweet basil beef is notable too! We were served by two different guys, the older one was great but the younger guy doesn't even seem to be happy working there. Nonetheless, food and atmosphere was amazing. Will definitely go back!🥰

Excellent service and delicious fresh food. We were a large group and were put in an intimate cozy area that allowed for conversation. We ordered an assortment of food and it was all delicious. Server recommended the tamarind shrimp and it was amazing!! Green curry chicken was delish. Fresh rolls were good. Pad Thai was ok, I found it a bit too mushy for my taste. Exceptional service refilling drinks and making sure we were happy.

Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor! My friends and I had a great time dining here. The prices were reasonable, except some dishes require you to order a separate side of noodles or rice, which I wasn't impressed by that.

Great ambiance, friendly service and the pizzas and salads are amazing. The pizza crust is chewy and crispy and so addictive. The fungi pizza was really delicious with the battered fried jalapeno peppers adding a zing to the mushrooms.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Borgo Antico. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, what took away from the experience was the service. The staff seemed to lack basic etiquette and customer engagement. For example, when we asked if they had any pizzas with ham, the response was simply, “whatever is available on the menu.” A little more courtesy and willingness to guide customers, especially first-timers, would make a big difference. Great food, but the team could really benefit from some customer service training.

This is definitely THE best Italian restaurant my family & I had gone to and- we’ve tried almost every one in the Gta. Zio Nicola, Tino and Aldo made us feel so welcomed, all have a genuine kindness and warmth to them, also added a touch of lovely humour throughout our lunch which was amazing. The maniche alla vodka and, the truffle cacio e pepe is so amazing that, I purposely ate slower than usual since I didn’t want to reach my last bite at all; specifically for the maniche dish since, it was what I have been searching for to taste again since childhood. Not only did it match that need but completely topped it. Google only gives us the option to rate out of 5 but Borgo Antico deserves 10/5 !! Definitely going here whenever I or anyone I know craves some genuinely great food and service. Grazie, grazie mille Zio Nicola, Tino, Aldo and of course the amazing chefs !! xx

I definitely recommend Borgo Antico Cucina for any occasion! The traditional Italian food was so delicious, and the service was great! We were to celebrate my friend's birthday on Saturday evening with a party of 8. We ordered shareable appetizers, and the individual mains were generous portions! We paired our mains with red and white wines (Chianti Riserva and Gavi). I especially enjoyed my Linguine Pescatore! If you love seafood, then this is the perfect dish for you!!

We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had made reservations a few weeks out however when greeted, was not asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and asked to pick any table, except all of the “good” tables were already taken up front by the window. So not the greatest most welcoming start to the evening. I only point this out because the “atmosphere” here is almost a negative value. This is literally a large long rectangle with low ceilings, limited decor of Wayfair mirrors and light fixtures thrown up in the walls and wood tables flanked by plastic chairs. The bar was the nicest focal point yet for some odd reason there was tv with sports on directly across from us, and music playing was so odd, everything from pop to rap, it was just bizarre and not classy at all. Server was borderline rude, I noticed they sold focaccia separately so I asked if burrata was served with any bread and he said no, pointed to the menu and highlighted the ingredients and no mention of bread, so we ordered separately. When burrata came out, it was served with 2 giant pieces of focaccia! We literally didn’t touch our separate order. We mentioned this to another server and he suggested we take it home with us. I had expected not to be charged for the extra bread but of course we were. The burrata itself was delicious but presentation was terrible, instead of showcasing the beautiful colours of the peppers and beet juice, it was buried under the cheese and the entire plate was covered with plain, not so fresh looking arugula which was just an odd and underwhelming first impression. Our main meals were pretty good, I had seabass which I found lacking in flavour and husband had pasta with meat sauce. We skipped dessert as portions were large. Overall there is nothing to bring us to return, there are several other restaurants in downtown Oakville that offer a much better atmosphere, service and comparable if not better food.

We visited this cute Thai restaurant on Kerr on a Friday evening. It was fully packed. They close at 8:30pm but you can order at 8:25pm and eat until 9:00pm. We ordered: 1. Pad Thai with Veggies: 3/5 - Average. Broccoli and other veggies were cut in too large chunks. Also it was too sweet for my taste. 2. Pad Thai with Chicken: 5/5 - Delicious. The meal portions are huge. The staff is so friendly and polite. I really like the ambience as well. I would definitely come again to try their other dishes.

Sushi restaurant
Mye Japanese Restaurant, also known as Mye 2, is a historic establishment in Oakville that has been serving authentic Japanese cuisine since 1987. It was the first Japanese restaurant in the area and is still run by a Japanese chef. The restaurant offers traditional appetizers and entrées, along with a variety of maki rolls and in-house specials. Many of their dishes are available gluten-free upon request.
Amazing experience! The food was fresh and flavourful, with beautifully presented food trays/bowls. The service was attentive and friendly, making our family dinner even more enjoyable. Cozy atmosphere, definitely a place we’ll visit again!

A long standing favourite restaurant for good reason. Beautiful, delicious food. Lots of authentic options. The spicy salmon rolls are not too spicy with a small portion roe inside and salmon on top. The Oh mye! Rolls are one of my favourites with sweet and spicy sauces to compliment the flavors.
Marla N — Google review
The restaurant repeatedly promotes its “good quality food,” but from what I experienced, the quality was seriously lacking — both in terms of flavor balance and overall execution. Simply using expensive ingredients or serving oversized portions doesn’t equate to good food. The smoked salmon roll contained raw onions, which completely overpowered the subtle smokiness of the fish. This combination felt random and unbalanced — raw onions bring a sharp, harsh flavor that clashes with the delicate taste sushi is meant to highlight. In traditional Japanese cuisine, ingredients are selected to complement, not compete with, the main element. The lobster roll and mye roll were equally underwhelming. Despite featuring premium ingredients like lobster, the flavor lacked depth or structure. I honestly couldn’t tell what was supposed to taste good in those rolls. Moreover, the rolls were far too large, making them awkward to eat and completely devoid of the elegance and restraint that define good sushi. Oversized sushi often sacrifices finesse for show — and that was certainly the case here. If the restaurant genuinely wants to offer high-quality sushi, I’d strongly recommend focusing on the basics: ingredient freshness, thoughtful pairings, balance, and precision — rather than gimmicky combinations or overwhelming portion sizes. I’ve dined at high-end sushi restaurants in Japan, and I’ve also had plenty of sushi in North America. Out of all my experiences, this was the worst sushi I’ve had to date.

Had the opportunity to dine at Mye restaurant last week and I can't recommend this place highly enough! I've been in the culinary industry for 19 years and this place checks off everything to enter the conversation of one of Oakville's top restaurants. I immediately texted everyone I know who lives in the area. The food: I am usually able to order fairly quickly when I enter a restaurant, but with everything on the menu being something I wanted to try. My friend and I decided to order a bunch of dishes to share and we were blown away by all of them. Our order consisted of the following: Yakiniku: The most tender prime rib you are going to try is going to be at this restaurant. Accompanied with some mixed veggies, I 'm still thinking about this dish a week later. Black Cod: This is easily the best black cod I've have had. I mistakenly confused this for Chilean seabass as it was that flakey and perfectly grilled. Rolls: Oh Mye! Roll & Lobster Roll. Both of these rolls were perfectly crafted with amazing fresh ingredients. Oysters: We had 2 different oyster options, the Oyster Rockefeller style along with the way they do it. The oysters were large, perfectly shucked, and flavours out of this world. Sushi & Sashimi: All of what we ordered was phenomenal, but we really stood out to me was the spicy scallop roll. When you usually order these at other Japanese restaurants, they are way too covered in mayo which masks the beautiful scallop. This was not like that at all. It felt light and soft which made a perfect addition to our meal. As you can see my friend and I ordered quite a bit, but we had plenty to take home for a full dinner. The atmosphere is a mix of modern Japanese mixed with some traditional elements that is very easy on the eye and gives you a very comfortable dining experience. I also had the opportunity to meet Mr. Motoaki Aoki who is the owner and executive chef of this establishment along with his son Kenta Aoki who has taken the reigns in running the restaurant. After speaking to both of them and seeing their passion in running this restaurant, you know right away why the food is as good at is.

We are glad to find a real Japanese restaurant in Oakville! In terms of the salad dressing, Japanese rice, teriyaki, all are delicated and makes me feel like eating in Japan or 5 stars hotel! Whatever you ordered for dinner, everyone would get a small dish of appetizer (mainly very fresh bean sprouts and cucumbers) with excellent yuzu dressing, which definitely increases your appetite. The assorted seafood salad with yuzu and ginger dressing was impressive. The dressing sounds similar to the free small appetizers, but it's totally different in taste and texture. We ordered a 24 pcs sushi platter ($48), which is worthy to try. The Japanese sushi rice is in high quality and perfectly matched with proper amount of vinegar. Tuna and Salmon were fresh on top. The chicken teriyaki dinner set was out of our expectations! The chicken breast was super tendered and juicy with tailor-made soy sauce. When I first tasted it, I asked my partner if we were having dinner in a Japanese restaurant of a 5 stars hotel! The brown or white rice could be selected in this set, very thoughtful. The vegetables came along were full of varieties. Service there was top-rated, too. The western waitress who served us tonight was professional and sincere. She knows how the dishes cooked and provided warm services to us with sincere smile.

Found this little gym in our neighbourhood. My friend and I had lunch here and met the owners son who had taken over the reigns from his dad, running the restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended and I will be coming back again for sure :)

Pizza restaurant
Blondies Pizza in Oakville is a delightful gem that stands out with its vibrant pink branding and playful atmosphere. This Toronto-based chain, part of the Food Dudes family, opened its doors in November 2010 within the Longos plaza on Cornwall Road. Known for their exceptional from-scratch dough that's fermented for days, Blondies crafts pizzas that are not just meals but experiences.
The pizza here is really good! Very different compared to other pizza places. I ordered a pepperoni and bacon pizza and it was delicious. The garlic dip was amazing too! I also ordered chicken wings. But these were horrible. I highly recommend you just stick to the pizza here. One downside is the price. 1 order of wings and a large pizza cost $60!

I ordered takeout from Blondies Pizza in Oakville and tried the Drake Was Here pizza. Honestly, it was so good. The base was delicious, the toppings were super fresh, and everything came together perfectly. It was one of those pizzas you just can’t stop eating because every bite was that tasty. It is a bit on the pricier side, but honestly worth it for the quality and flavor. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again the pizza was fresh, flavorful, and totally hit the spot.

Pizza - 10/10 The customer service - 1000/10 So glad to have found an amazing pizza spot so close by. We will be dining here often and have recommended it to friends and family too. The best part is that everyone who works here is genuinely friendly. No stuck up attitudes as with most highly rated spots, no overcharging for substitutions or extras, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure you LOVE your order! Please don’t ever change - unless you’re considering adding beef pepperoni options for those of us who don’t eat pork :)

It is tough to find a place with a good gluten free crust. Dipping sauce was flavorful...excited to try the other ones next time. The pizza box might be the best part about it all

Tried Blondies Pizza and loved it.We ordered The Fourth Majestic Pizza and wings , everything was really flavorful and satisfying. Definitely one of the best pizza spots in Oakville. Will definitely go again.

This is not the Blondie’s that gave them their name. With all these franchisees and all these people looking to make a quick buck their quality has gone majorly downhill. I ordered a pizza and it arrived raw the center was fully undercooked the store said that’s how they cook their pizza. Does anyone think this looks good? I will NEVER buy another thing from the Oakville location. Please do better
Tyler — Google review
Their hand-stretched “00” flour dough, fermented for days, creates a crust that’s airy, chewy, and beautifully charred. The care put into every element, from the dough to the toppings to the playful pink branding, makes it a standout in a city brimming with pizza options. Whether you’re a Neapolitan purist or just craving something deliciously different, Blondies delivers a slice of perfection. Five stars, without hesitation.

Tried the scarlet sunrise pie and the cheese slice. Extremely soggy and floppy pizza that doesn’t hold the shape and extremely difficult to hold and eat. Maybe we just walked in on a bad day for the store.

Steak house
If you're on the hunt for a fantastic steak experience, look no further than Chop Steakhouse & Bar. This vibrant eatery offers an enticing lunch menu featuring options like the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and prime beef dip, alongside delicious dinner starters such as Caesar salad and escargots stuffed mushrooms. Originating from Alberta, Chop made its Ontario debut near Toronto's Pearson International Airport in 2012 and has since expanded to various locations across the province including Oakville, Ottawa, and London.
What a great dining experience. Super friendly and attentive service by all the staff. Good variety on the menu for very taste. We had the stuffed mushrooms and the spring rolls to start and prime rib, rib steak, and halibut mains. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was all tasty. Sadly didn’t have room for dessert 😂

Enjoyed an impromptu Saturday night date night at Chop Steakhouse in Oakville. We made a reservation online and were promptly seated when we arrived. Our waiter was fantastic, he had great banter and made the meal so enjoyable. He also was very attentive ensuring our drinks were full and checking in to make sure we were still doing well. Cocktails were fun and tasty and the goat cheese dip was the perfect starter. I went with the avocado bowl which was delicious and so filling I had to bring half home. Hubby had the prime rib and it outdid the Keg hands down.

I had a fantastic dinner here and was so impressed by the service and food! My server, Catelyn was absolutely wonderful—she was so attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. When they found out it was my first time at this restaurant, they even brought me a complimentary appetizer, which was such a nice touch. I ordered the filet mignon steak with cauliflower rice and vegetables. They were able to accomodate my dietary needs. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and was so tender and juicy. The vegetables were still crisp and well-seasoned, which I really appreciated. The cauliflower rice was also a great, flavourful side. Overall, it was a truly amazing dining experience from start to finish. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Service and atmosphere was great! They sorted out seating immediately despite us not having a reservation. Food arrived promptly and we were given a complimentary birthday dessert. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. The pasta I had was nothing special and a bit bland but the other guests said that the chicken wings and burger were delicious.

We just went to Chops for our 14th Anniversary dinner. The food was very tasty. The steak cooked to perfection. We even got complimentary deserts for our anniversary! Our server, Monique’s genuine friendliness and upbeat attitude was the icing on the cake (no pun intended).🤣🤣 Great service, great food, great atmosphere. We’ll be back and we hope Monique will be our server.

Came here for my kid’s birthday (and Thanksgiving) and everything was perfect. Food and drinks, time to receive food and drinks, atmosphere, service. Special shout out to Monica C who was probably one of the best waitresses I’ve encountered. She went out of her way to make our day special and was perfect on her checkups. I found this Chop location better than other ones I’ve visited, just has that extra oomph that makes your experience that much better. This location provides true hospitality that is missing from a lot of comparable restaurants. 5/5 experience and can’t wait to return. Hopefully Monica will be working!

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Paradiso is a charming restaurant with an open kitchen that serves a diverse menu featuring Greek and Italian dishes. The warm and intimate atmosphere draws inspiration from European Mediterranean cuisine, using fresh ingredients in all its offerings. The lunch menu includes appetizers paired with pasta or pizza, while the dinner menu features options like spinach & artichoke arancini, pickled pears salad, and tomato & smoked paprika soup.
Thoroughly enjoy my afternoon chill at Paradiso. My server, Daniela, has been excellent! Her service was superb! We ordered calamari and trout. Highly recommend that you visit this restaurant and being looked after by Daniela and her team. Thank you for such a great afternoon!

My family and I had an absolutely delightful dinner at Paradiso last night. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, inviting ambiance that made for the perfect dining atmosphere. The food was truly superb - every dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. What really made the evening special was the outstanding service. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and that genuine, pleasant smile made us feel truly welcomed and valued as guests. Paradiso has struck that perfect balance of excellent cuisine, beautiful atmosphere, and warm hospitality. We're already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

I would rate this restaurant four stars. Upon entering, we were greeted by a pleasant and cozy ambiance. We wanted to order chicken Slovakia, which is typically part of the lunch menu, but the staff kindly accommodated our request. We enjoyed two solos and a margarita pizza, which was flavorful. Although the margarita pizza was unique and not quite to my taste, I still give this place four stars for their excellent service and willingness to accommodate us.

We came here on a Sunday evening for drinks and dinner. The restaurant is spacious and has many tables available. They also have a more private dining area at the back for private gatherings or event. The patio is closed for the season. The staff are friendly and helpful. We ordered “Butternut Squash Hummus Salad”, “Carne Pizza”, “Italian Sausage Rigatoni” and “Blackened Chicken Supreme”. We paired our food with white wine and espresso martini. The food was fresh and tasty.

Unfortunately food is not good. Very disappointing, especially with these prices. First time my children didnt like and couldnt finish spaghetti bolognese anywhere. Way to oily and heavy. Beet salad is truly bad. Crab cake is below average. Even the wine and complimentary bread was not good. Service was good though. Friendly, helpful. Probably the only good thing was the service.

This place was amazing! Such a gem. Jacqueline was extremely lovely and hospitable. The food was delicious and the menu items were so unique yet cohesive. Definitely had new foods that I had never tried but enjoyed! Their starter bread slices are delicious and one of a kind. The patio had a nice view of the city and was quiet enough to enjoy a nice chat, but also had a great busy atmosphere. There was also a dog bowl on the patio filled with water which I thought was a sweet addition. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a scrumptious bite out!!

Raising from 4 to 5 stars. I came back after couple of years. Today the service was amazing. Rosie was very attentive coming to our table several times to find out how we were doing. The food was also good. I am nicely pleased with the experience today. Raising from 3 to 4 stars. Tried it again on Sunday night (20230423). The service was a little better compared to the first time I visited this place, but still there is room for improvement. I went with my family on Saturday night (20220402) after a reservation. There were some free empty tables around us. The service level was average~low. We were advised that for some of the plates in the menu there were only two or three available. The food was good but not impressive.

This is her first class restaurant. We went to the large group of 14 people. We had one server who took care of everything at the table and she was excellent. OMG! I can’t thank my French friend Francois enough for recommending us this place! Food is amazing, the restaurant is a little piece of France and the staff is great. Sylvia knows what customer service is. She was very friendly and was always checking on us to make sure everything was perfect. My husband and I are definitely going back. We got a French onion soup, the Normande baked crepe and the Napoleon for dessert. I can’t tell which one was better… We can’t wait to go back and try the other ones. Pictures by @melhorfoods

Small personal restaurant with cozy feeling. The food fresh and delicious; how ever there is a sufficient amount of waiting period so plan to spend some quality time at the restaurant. The servers were friendly and guides you to their special and popular meals. Would highly recommend the dish that's baked in casserole. The coffee was a bit too strong and acidic for me but if you like dark and strong coffee then this is the cup for you. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice date (not a quick date)and would visit here again.

I had a wonderful time today! It was my first time out after the lockdown and I'm glad I chose this restaurant. I ordered the taste of oakville lunch menu which included a french onion soup and a crepe. The soup was excellent! The crepe was a perfect mix of flavours. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I felt like I was in a cafe in Paris, especially with the french music in the background. Staff was attentive and professional. When I had questions about the menu, the waitress was very helpful and descriptive. They also followed the covid-19 protocols which made me feel safe dining in. overall 10/10, would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family

Nice little place in Oakville. Was excited to try it and was pleased. I ordered the Salmon Benedict crepe. The crepe was slightly overcooked and dry on the outer edges, but everything else was great. The hollandaise was very thick, but it worked with the chewy parts of the crepe. The eggs were perfectly cooked also. The place was nice and the staff was friendly. However, the decor, the music and atmosphere seemed like they were getting too hard to be Parisian, which ended up having the opposite effect. Would return though to try their other crepes and Croque Monsieur.

Fantastic crepes!!! The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was excellent. What we got: Normande - delicious and warm melted cheese!! Saint Tropez - in a crepe version is good and fresh Royale - good combination with the chocolate and nuts Pomme Caramel - FANTASTIC! Warm apple filling with a delicious house salted caramel and ice cream are a delicious combination!!! Overall, definitely a place to go back and bring family and friends! They are quite busy so ale make sure to book reservations.

Cafe
Kerr Street Cafe is a popular spot known for its bright and airy atmosphere with floor-to-ceiling windows. It's a go-to place for brunch enthusiasts, offering an array of espresso-based drinks, breakfast options, and light lunches. The cafe is praised for its beautifully plated meals and exceptional coffee, with the famous all-day breakfast featuring items like French Toast, Chia Pudding, and Pancakes with rosemary custard and local fruit.
Very busy, trendy breakfast cafe. Went Friday morning before 10 and it was already packed. Didn’t have to wait too long. Ordered the cornbread florentine. Two perfect poached eggs sitting on a bed of steamed spinach and sausage round on cornbread. Drizzled with amazing hollandaise sauce $22. Asked for a side of roasted potatoes after seeing them on my husbands plate $9. He had the Kerr Street breakfast. Two eggs over easy with 2 strips of bacon, roasted potatoes and salad greens with a nice dressing as well as delicious toasted sour dough bread $24. Two coffees $8. On the pricey side but the presentation of the meals and quality of the ingredients is what you pay for. The nicely decorated ambiance makes it a great place to meet for a delicious breakfast. Customers next to us ordered the avocado toast and strawberry French toast. They also looked amazingly delicious.

Kerr Street Cafe is a cozy spot that's been on my radar for a while, and it definitely lives up to the hype for a great breakfast or quick lunch. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience a pleasure. While the menu is on the smaller side, that's exactly the charm of the place—they do what they do very well. The Morty was a standout. The croissant was perfectly flaky, and the sandwich itself was a great portion with excellent flavour. The mushroom toast was also delicious; the combination of the whipped cheese, truffle chive vinaigrette, and poached egg came together beautifully, even if I personally prefer warm mushrooms. We also tried the Green Bowl, which was packed with healthy goodness like kale, brussels sprouts, and roasted sweet potatoes. It's a fantastic, flavourful option, though I'd recommend it for sharing as the portion size is quite generous! Overall, Kerr Street Cafe is an excellent choice for a satisfying brunch or lunch. The quality of the food and the warm atmosphere make it a spot I'd gladly return to.

We’ve been here a few times and really love the coffee and the freshness of the food. We’ve tried different items on the menu and have never been disappointed with our selection. Pretty busy even on a Friday morning but service is efficient and friendly. There’s indoor and outdoor seating options and is very clean and organized. If you’re in Oakville this place is a must for breakfast/lunch. Just go early as they tend to get extremely busy quickly especially on the weekends.

The bacon they serve here is down right embarrassing. Cooked in the oven with no flavour what so ever. Such an artisan place you think they would care a little more about the bacon they serve. Here is my $8 order of bacon~receiving 3 strips nice and cool from the warming drawer soaked in grease. They look like ready crisp bacon from the grocery store. If this place even had half decent bacon I would give 5 stars it’s actually such a shame

Nice to have the restaurant still there after 10 years. Its nice decorated in Chinese traditional way restaurant, waiters and waitress dress in traditional Chinese clothing, smile and nice. Both Peking duck and Orange ducks taste nice it was before, dishes on menu is less than before, but still taste good with acceptable price, but would be expensive if you order lobster. Fried rice and noodles, esp those with seafood are delicious, fortune cookies serviced.

We went to this place for lunch and found the decor really admirable with an antique vibe. The staff are all attired in traditional costume. The place is clean and the table is formally set. We ordered the two course Peking Duck. They sounded the gong when the Peking duck came out in an antique looking cart. The server then starts carefully slicing the crispy skin. For our first course of the peking duck - the hoisin sauce is spread in a thin pancake then one adds the julienned spring onions and cucumber then the thinly slice crispy skin is added before rolling the pancake. Our choice for the second course was to have the shredded duck meat with fried rice. The Peking Duck was so mouth watering delicious. It has a savoury sweet flavour. It was a good size and enough for four people.  We also ordered the sweet and sour boneless pork and mixed vegetables. All the food was flavourful and delicious. Customer service was excellent. Update July 2022: We arrived 5 minutes early at this place but seeing the sign that says open decided to go in. The restaurant do not have a record of our online reservation, the host/manager did not give us a warm greeting, was not welcoming and seems unprepared to see early customers like us and keeps repeating that the kitchen is not yet ready. This dampened our supposed to be a nice day out but fortunately things got better when we had Stella as our server. She was amazing and has a good sense of humour. It is a delight to have someone who enjoys what she is doing and gives positive energy. She has excellent people skills. Aside from our favourite Peking Duck, we also ordered Seafood Hot and Sour Soup,  Pork and Vegetable Spring Rolls, Buddha Delight (Mixed Chinese Vegetables and Assorted Mushrooms) and Crispy O.K. Beef. As always food was excellent, so enjoyable and so tasteful.

Went there with friends on Friday. Found a worm moving in the broccoli in the vegetable and fried noodles we ordered. We showed the waiters. The first waiter was shocked. Then the rest of the staff appeared. One waitress took the plate away and brought it back telling us it was one of the noodles. We told her cooked noodles don’t move. We refused to pay for the dish. They gave us a hard time. Needless to say no tip was left and they’ve lost good customers. Beware….

Oliver's Steakhouse is a luxurious dining destination that promises an unforgettable experience for all who step through its doors. This upscale establishment masterfully blends traditional steakhouse fare with modern culinary innovations, showcasing some of the rarest cuts of USDA Prime steaks alongside fresh seafood options. With a menu designed to cater to diverse palates, Oliver's has something for everyone, making it a standout choice in Ontario and beyond.
Hubs and I went for a NYE dinner here..I can see why it’s rated so highly! They had several Halal steak and lamb options (USA, Australia and Japan) we were given a little pre-appetizer of feta cheese, olives I believe it was a basil pesto dip with some warm bread to start, we had the burrata salad, surf and turf with Tenderloin upgrade, and bc there was a minor mix up with staff, they brought us a complimentary dessert. We were sharing our meal and they split it up when serving, which I thought was such a nice and considerate touch! Presentation of the food is on point, and the restaurant has a very elegant yet homely feel. Love that they gave me a little stool for my purse!! The entire dining experience was lovely with a live piano player the wait staff are so friendly and kind… just the right amount of checking in to see if you need anything throughout your meal. You can really see how everyone works as a team here like a well orchestrated performance. We’re already planning to revisit soon, highly recommended!! 5⭐️’s!

Good service and atmosphere. Steak was good but salty and also too pricey for the quantity and what it was. We had ordered the Kansas Ribeye. Caesar salad was nothing special and heavy on the dressing. Cocktails were on point though and patio seating was quite cosy.
Sherry M — Google review
Came here for a date night, it was a Sunday night so it wasn’t busy. I believe only a few tables were occupied with families. Really enjoyed the starters, which was this puffy cheese bread, I believe. They also serve some good pickled items, cheese, and olives. Service was attentive, and I really appreciate that they plated the mains and sides for us. Appetizers - Heirloom Tomato Salad - Steak Tartare - Fiori Di Zucca Mains - 8oz Striploin - Short Rib Wellington Sides - Truffle Mac - Garlic Mashed - Rapini Dessert - Pistachio dessert (don’t know the name, but it was delicious.) My favourite item was probably the steak tartare, least was the Short Rib Wellington.. I thought it was overcooked. The garlic mash was probably the best I’ve ever had. It was really smooth and flavourful. Overall, we did definitely leave full and I couldn’t even finish my plate. You definitely want to try a little bit of everything, which I thought we did. I’d see myself coming back to try other items.

This restaurant definitely met our expectations. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We decided to order a few items to share and the staff was very accommodating. For appetizers we had the artichoke salad and grilled calamari. For mains we had the Dover sole and Sea bream fish and added mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes. All the items were tasty and flavourful. Our meal was finished off with the pistachio dessert which was scrumptious. Great restaurant for a special occasion.

Kurtis S — Google review
I do not recommend this restaurant and am completely astonished that it gets any 4+ reviews. The decor is the only attribute Oliver’s has. I need to say that I’ve eaten at many Michelin Star restaurants around the world and know excellent 5* food but this restaurant barely deserves a 1*. My favourite Beef Carpaccio appetizer was horrible bc the wrong grade of beef was used and the slices were thick, fatty and l had extreme difficulty cutting through the slices which means I didn’t eat much of it. I’ve been eating beef carpaccio, a favorite dish of mine for 50 years and it was the worst and wasn’t anything close to what beef carpaccio should be. Lobster Bisque practically had no lobster. Scallops were not seared and undercooked…. I began feeling sick to my stomach after eating one (asked the waiter to box up the remainder to take home, which the next day I broiled the scallops and they were fine). My guest had Lobster Gnocchi but barely any lobster on top and it had no flavour. It was a belated birthday dinner for my guest so l insisted we order dessert for him since my digestion was churning and doing somersaults after eating an undercooked scallop, so I couldn’t stomach any dessert. He was disgusted by the food and simply wanted to leave quickly but I convinced him to have a birthday dessert, which was another disaster. It took the waiter at least 30 minutes to bring my guest his dessert only to experience a chocolate stale, hard rock mere sliver of a chocolate slice that needed a knife to cut into it and neither of us had a knife…. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen and when he eventually showed up 30 minutes after that because he got busy with other new customers, it took him another 15 minutes to bring the bill. I have to say that the waiter gave preferential treatment to my male guest by cleaning off table crumbs on my guests side of the table but not my crumbs even though I paid the bill of $350 which only included one martini and one bottle of Perrier. It is obvious that this waiter didn’t show me, a female, the same respect as my male guest. Our experience was astonishing. The Chef and Owner of this establishment should be completely embarrassed …. My guest had been to Oliver’s in the past. It was my first time eating there. My guest was so disgusted he wanted us to leave without me paying the bill because we were waiting so long for the bill and the whole food experience was disgraceful !!! My guest left while l waited to pay the bill. We will never return to this establishment and won’t recommend it to anyone. The Owner and chef should be embarrassed !

Came here for dinner last night, and really loved how good everything was! Steak was one of the best I have ever had, with plenty of amazing side dish choices. Loved the steak salts it came with! Service was top notch, definitely felt catered to. Worth the dinner for those special occasions and moments, enjoy!

August 8 Oakville is a casual dining establishment that offers an extensive menu of unlimited dim sum, sushi, teppanyaki, and udon dishes. This Asian fusion restaurant is highly regarded for its wholesome and refreshing culinary offerings. The delectable and succulent dishes provided are a true treat for the taste buds. With a wide range of savory and sweet options available, diners can expect to have their palates invigorated.
Came here with friends for dinner and loved it. The menu options are fantastic and the food was just as impressive. Some of the best dishes are limited, which is a bit unfortunate but maybe that’s what makes them so special. Service was great, the sashimi was fresh and flavorful, and the scallops were outstanding! 🤤 Would definitely come again.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was not very happy with my visit. They need to include more Gluten-Free options as well. I asked for hot water and there was a food mark on my glass. It is important to note that the utensils has to be served clean and in good condition. Overall, our server communicated in a professional manner and provided us with good customer service.

Came here for the AYCE lunch. There are a lot of choices and everything was good. It’s nice that they have many dim sum options to keep things interesting. The portions are not overly large so can really sample everything. Aside from the rolls which u get 6pcs. If u are by yourself it may be a bit much. Food comes out rather quickly. And the service is very efficient and friendly. Highly recommend! Just keep in mind for kids it is age x $2

First time here for dinner and my partner and I really enjoyed it. Loved the variety of the dishes and enjoyed that you could order smaller portions of sushi rolls - for example 3-4 pieces instead of the 6 that most Ayce places offer. Also had the best dessert for an ayce place. It’s true that the food comes out on the slower side - however everything was fresh and you could tell it was not sitting out waiting for someone to order it like some other places. It was also nice that they have a tab at the bottom of the iPad for gluten free dishes/ gluten free modifications. We loved it and are making it our new go to for all you can eat sushi.

I’ve been to August 8 multiple times, but this visit was truly exceptional. Ruby went above and beyond in serving us — she was attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. She checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed, and her service was not only fast but thoughtful. She even offered to take photos for us, and captured such lovely moments. Her friendliness and bright energy made our dining experience extra special. Ruby is truly a gem, and she made us feel so welcomed and valued as guests.

We loved this place so much, we came back twice in one week. What set this place apart from other all you can eat places were the size of the maki's, how thick their sashimi pieces are, the massive sushi tacos, and the dessert selection. This place is NOT stingy at all! I also had a mentality that any all you can eat place wouldn't have the best tasting dim sum, but I was really impressed. I wish I took more photos but I was too busy enjoying the food!
Alana C — Google review
We visited August 8 for lunch on Mother’s Day. As it was a special occasion, they were serving only dinner menu at dinner prices (even for lunch). This was a bit disappointing as it’s not listed on their website anywhere. Our reservation was for 3pm. It was fully crowded when we went there. No one from the restaurant was present at the reception desk. After waiting for some time, I had to get hold of someone myself and tell them that I have a reservation. Finally after 10 mins, we got a table. We ordered multiple items from the menu. The quality of food is great. The only bad thing was, I found a hair strand in the mango pudding. The portions are small which means you can try multiple items. The drinks are not part of the AYCE menu. The items we liked: Miso Soup, Seaweed Salad, Deep fried Shrimp Rolls, Scallop Tempura, Chive/Shrimp Dumplings, Steamed Curry Squid, Daikon Spicy Salmon, Torched Red Dragon Roll, Spicy Salmon Pizza, Cajun Coconut Shrimp, Seafood Udon Soup, Yam Tempura Hand Roll, Dynamite Hand Roll, Princess Roll, Chicken Skewers, Sponge Cake and Mango Pudding. The items we didn't like much: Edamame, Veggie Spring Roll, All of the tacos, Deep fried Chicken Dumplings, Salmon Teriyaki and Tiramisu. The service is a bit slow and could be improved. Our server was super nice and friendly. There’s a seating time limit of 1.5 hours which is not strictly enforced though. If you pay via credit card, there is a processing fee of 2.4%. There is no such processing charge on debit card. You could get a 5% discount if payment is done via cash. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant. I would definitely recommend everyone to go there but with an advanced reservation.

Great Flavors but Disappointing Service and Quality Issues We visited August 8 in Oakville for dinner and had high hopes based on the variety of options available. The shrimp dumplings and salmon tataki bowl were flavorful and fresh. The chicken pan-fried udon, however, was a letdown. The chicken was over-fried, making it rubbery and chewy, which really took away from the dish. One major issue was the service, which was exceptionally slow. It wasn’t clear whether the restaurant was understaffed or just overwhelmed, but it affected the overall dining experience significantly. Another disappointment was the wasabi. It had an unusual soapy smell and lacked the usual sharp, clean kick you expect. I asked the server to replace it, but the second serving tasted the same. It made it nearly impossible to enjoy the sushi the way I normally would. Overall, the food had potential, but the quality inconsistencies and service delays left me underwhelmed.

We came as a group and our servers were great and quick on drinks and taking orders. The kitchen was slow by the time our food came some components such as the fries were cold. Fish tacos as an app and chicken sandwich as a main are the go to for something reliable and delicious. A solid 4.5 food is good for the most part, friendly staff just a slow kitchen.

If only this place wasn't 40 mins away from me I'd be here every night.. Visiting for the first time and promises delivered. Exceptionally well crafted food with a ton of drafts to choose from and you can't really go wrong. Very commendable that the staff are polite, courteous and make you feel welcome right from the host to the bar to the kitchen and service staff. I was going to leave a 1 Star review.. ..for not being closer to my place.

The patio is large and spacious, I wish there was a bit more shade, we were close to the door so without an umbrella. The service was good, they have a very expensive beer menu and the food seemed to be enjoyed overall by our table, nothing out of this world but it did the trick

Great Spot, But Miss the Old Menu Beertown is always a solid choice for good food, great drinks, and an awesome atmosphere. The service was friendly and the vibe was fun as always. I really enjoyed my meal, but I have to say—I miss the old menu! Some of my favorite items are gone, which was a bit disappointing. Still, everything we ordered was tasty, and the beer selection never disappoints. Overall, Beertown remains one of my go-to spots, just wish they’d bring back a few of the classics! 🍻

Nestled in the vibrant Bronte Village, Por Vida Mezcal & Mexican is a delightful escape that transports you straight to Mexico. This charming eatery, helmed by the talented Chef Manny Ferreira, boasts an impressive array of tacos that cater to every palate. From Baja fish and spicy chicken braised BBQ brisket to seared shrimp and crispy cauliflower, each taco is a flavor-packed experience.
My partner and I visited Por Vida for their all-you-can-eat experience, and we were pleasantly surprised! The tacos were very fresh and flavourful, absolutely delicious. The churros were another highlight, perfectly crispy and so tasty! The price is reasonable, especially since it includes a flavored water, appetizer, mains, and dessert. Great value for amazing food! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine.

The freshest food! This restaurant can handle large volumes for their AYCE menu with no problem! Our first time visiting this restaurant was well worth it. I definitely recommend reservations for their Wednesday all-you-can-eat menu. We got very lucky with seating at 745pm on a Wednesday because someone didn't respond to their reservation. We tried everything on the AYCE menu and it was all fantastic. The only tacos we didn't prefer were the raja. Other than this, all options were excellent. The tamarind agua was cravable. Just note that there is a charge for a 2nd glass of it. We finished our dinner with the churros which were hot and fresh. I think I could walk in here and eat 3 buckets of chips with their salsa. All the salsas have flavour. This is a big thing for me. I've been to another Mexican restaurant recently where the food was flavourless. The hosts and servers are so friendly!! We appreciate the education about seating and the menu! We planned to come here a couple months ago and are thankful we never skipped our planned date to visit. Was well worth the trip.

Loved the tacos! This restaurant is always busy for a good reason — the food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. While they do allow walk-ins, you should try to book online just in case. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and had the grilled calamari, pulled pork tacos, and chicken tacos. Delicious!

I had a fantastic time at Por Vida Mexical, a gem tucked away in the Bronte/Lakeshore area. The restaurant has a beautiful patio—perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal outdoors. We ordered the Rajas Tacos, which are vegetarian and come in a set of three. They were absolutely delicious—packed with flavor, though just a touch salty for my taste. We also tried the Salsa Flight, which came with a variety of salsa options and refillable chips—great value and super tasty! To end on a sweet note, we had the Churros with caramel sauce. They were crispy, warm, and perfectly sweet—definitely a must-try. The service was excellent—quick, friendly, and attentive. Parking is conveniently located behind the restaurant, which is a nice bonus. All in all, Por Vida Mexical is a great spot for delicious food, a laid-back vibe, and top-notch service. Highly recommend!

Wow! Fresh and delicious food and great service! Enjoyed a lovely time on the patio with my family. Shared fresh, warm chips and a salsa flight. We ordered the 2 vegetarian taco options and the steak tacos. All were so amazing it was hard for us to pick a favorite. So much flavor! We can't wait to go back!

We just enjoyed a fantastic meal at Por Vida! We found out about this place on Instagram and traveled all the way from Brantford to visit - it was well worth it! The atmosphere is amazing, you're instantly transported to Mexico. My 3 month old enjoyed the music and dancing along. Thank you to our server Tijana, she was excellent and helped to describe some of the menu items to me, without making me feel silly - it's appreciated. We made a reservation early for 5:30 on a Monday at I'm glad we did, the place filled up quickly! So if you'd like a spot without having to wait, I recommend making a reservation online.

La Dolce Vita, located in Oakville, Ontario, is a charming restaurant known for its cozy atmosphere and authentic Italian cuisine. The establishment offers an extensive selection of wines and is perfect for intimate dinners or casual meals with friends. In addition to their famous gelato, the cafe also serves smooth espresso, Italian sodas, gelato frappes, and vegan chocolate mochas.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Dolce Vita is a hidden gem in Oakville! Their gelato is absolutely delicious – creamy, rich, and full of real flavor. The coffee is top-notch. The staff are always friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It’s the perfect spot to relax with friends or treat yourself on a sunny day. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality treats and great service!

La Dolce Vita truly lives up to its name! Their gelato is rich, creamy, and full of authentic flavor. I tried the pistachio and hazelnut — both were smooth and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. The portions are generous, and the staff is super friendly and patient when you want to sample before deciding.

I absolutely love this place! High-quality Italian gelato and some of the best coffee in town. It gets pretty busy on hot days, but it’s totally worth the wait. What makes it special is that they don’t use regular dairy — everything’s made with oat milk, and honestly, their latte is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The pistachio gelato is a must-try, creamy, and packed with flavor. Highly recommend giving it a visit if you’re in the area!
Alia K — Google review
Edit: The La Dolce Vita team lives up to their promise for everyone to leave happy. They invited me back to have Oakville’s best milkshake which was truly a kind gesture. I went back with my 4 kids, niece and cousin so it was a family affair and enjoyed every scoop! If you go there as often as I do (weekly 😊) I highly recommend being part of their points program so you can get a FREE MEDIUM (3 Scoops) every few visits! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So I truly love this place because it’s all vegan and I don’t have to double check anything. The flavours are all devious and I make it a weekly thing to visit with me and my 4 kids - so imagine how many scoops we go through in a season 😂. But I came by for our first visit of the season and I wasn’t feeling like having a cone so I opted for a milkshake. I’ve had them before which is why I had no problem deciding. But when receiving mine, I was really disappointed. For paying $10+ on a regular sized milkshake you’d think it would atleast be filled to the brim. But mine was not even touching it, and it looks like it was just wiped down with a wet cloth. I was with my daughter and we had to leave to head to another event so I had no time to say anything. I’ve had their milkshakes where it would go past the brim and it’s so think it would just stay peaked and they would put the lid on. So you would understand why I’d be disappointed when receiving something not consistent with what I’ve had before.

Finally tried La Dolce Vita Gelato in Oakville, and it was a lovely first visit! We went with the Piemonte Hazelnut and Chocolate Hazelnut, both classics, and they were rich, creamy, and delicious. While I personally found them a bit sweeter than other gelatos I’ve tried, it’s still a treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. Customer service was great and well-organized, even at the end of the day. The selection is impressive with lots of flavors to choose from. Overall, a delightful experience — just a bit pricey for cup size & the quality you get.
VJ V — Google review
Tried Affogato with Vanilla ice-cream, was expecting it to be served in a ceramic/glass mug.. visible in other pics.. not expected it to be served in a disposable cup. Overall taste was okayish.. nothing outstanding.
Anukaran K — Google review
This place was amazing because of the ice cream choices and the flavours. I had mango and cotton candy and I would highly recommend.🚀
Mats M — Google review
Tried many gelato places before and was quite hyped up for this one. The 2 samples per customer limit is understandable but for the asking price of just 1 small cup, which is one of the highest I’ve seen, please consider upping this to 3 samples. The overall taste is fine but the flavor is overpowered by the sweetness. I personally prefer a more balanced tone.

Wasabi & Teriyaki is a cozy Japanese eatery located in a strip mall, offering a variety of delectable dishes such as sushi, tempura, udon combos, bento specials, and hot entrees. Despite its small size and limited seating, the restaurant is known for its top-tier taste and friendly atmosphere. The family-owned establishment near Oakville Go Station adds personal touches to enhance the dining experience.
Great place for Sushi. The food is delicious and this place doesn't mess around with frills. You get exactly what you expect, which is great Sushi. We placed the order and within 10 minutes we were served up delicious rolls. What I like about it is that their tips on the machine start at 5% instead of the ridiculous 18% at some places. I appreciate their humility. As well, when I asked for water, I just got a glass of water. Simple and no more than what I asked for. This seems to be a small family run operation, and I look forward to coming again.

From my first visit, this has become my favorite sushi restaurant. The restaurant feels and looks very authentic from the moment one enters. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The cost was reasonable for the high quality. Our family of four paid $81. They do not offer an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) option, if that is what you are seeking. Seating is limited, with the largest table accommodating only four people. Two groups arrived late and had to leave because the restaurant was full.

Best sushi in Oakville. Perfect rice to sushi ratio in the rolls. Fresh made. Dont even need soy sauce. Bulgogi is great. The sauce that they serve with their tempura dishes is unique and very good. Tea served at the perfect temperature. Very tasty too. They had pleasant music playing, and served food timely. Love this place.

Cozy sushi place with very good service. Sushi rolls were really good! We ordered the 3 roll set (spicy tuna was my fave among the 3), spider roll, takoyaki, and shrimp tempura (not in pic). They also give you fresh brewed tea which is a nice pair with the food. We will definitely come back!:)

Verace Italian Restaurant, located at 312 Lakeshore Rd E, Oakville, is a true gem for those seeking an authentic Italian dining experience. The restaurant is dedicated to bringing the essence of Italy to its guests through traditional flavors and culinary craftsmanship. From homemade pasta to carefully selected ingredients, Verace pays attention to every detail to ensure a genuine Italian atmosphere.
Great Italian restaurant with a large patio. Ordered the Zuppa di Cozze (mussels in a tomato sauce) $28. They were good…enough for 4 or more people. We shared the Caesar salad $19 which was delicious with homemade croutons and bacon. Then we had the spinach gnocchi with a creamy Gorgonzola cheese sauce and walnuts $26. Omg. It was so amazing. The best we have ever had. We also shared the Diavola wood fired pizza $25. It had spicy salami, fior latte cheese and chili. Very spicy but quite good. To top off my birthday celebration we had the most delicious creme brulee and tiramisu desserts with cappuccino and espresso coffees. Service was GREAT as well as the ambience. We have been here a few times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Verace Italian Restaurant delivers on two important fronts - the ambiance creates a pleasant dining atmosphere, and the food quality is solid. The Italian dishes we tried were well-prepared and satisfying. However, the service significantly impacted our overall experience. While the staff was efficient and got the job done, the interactions felt quite mechanical and impersonal. There was a noticeable lack of warmth or genuine hospitality that would make diners feel welcomed and valued. The servers appeared to be going through the motions without any real engagement or enthusiasm. With some customer service training focused on creating a more welcoming environment, this restaurant could easily elevate the entire dining experience. The foundation is there with good food and nice ambiance - it just needs that human touch to make guests feel truly at home.

An Authentic Taste of Italy in the Heart of Oakville! Verace is an absolute gem and our go-to for a genuine Italian meal. If you're looking for that perfect, classic Neapolitan pizza, you've found your spot. The Bufala Margherita Pizza is a masterpiece—the crust is blistered and chewy from their wood-fired oven, the buffalo mozzarella is wonderfully fresh, and the San Marzano tomato sauce is bright and tangy. It’s simple perfection on a plate. But don't stop at the pizza! The Gnocchi di Spinaci is a revelation. These homemade spinach gnocchi are like little pillows of heaven, and the gorgonzola and walnut cream sauce is rich, savory, and has just the right amount of sharpness. It’s a dish you’ll dream about later. For a truly classic pasta, the Tagliatelle alla Boscaiola is a must. The homemade ribbon pasta is cooked perfectly, and the creamy sauce with mushrooms, prosciutto, and peas is deeply comforting and full of flavor. Start your meal with the Polipo alla Griglia (grilled octopus). It’s tender, smoky, and never rubbery—a sure sign of a skilled kitchen. And you can’t go wrong with their Calamari Fritti; it’s always lightly fried, never greasy, and served with a delicious garlic aioli. A final pro tip: this place is popular for a reason! Make a reservation, especially for dinner, as it fills up quickly. We can't wait to go back

Michele and his team were very responsive in the months leading up to the event, which created to an easy and smooth evening. Thank you!!!

We went here for dinner and the place was lovely! Loved the open kitchen. Our waiter was kind and so were all the staff. The complementary rosemary focaccia with olive oil and balsamic reduction was delicious!!! We got the polpette dela nonna/meatballs (11/10 - must get!), seafood squid ink tagliatelle (8/10 - the sauce was delicious) and diavolo pizza (7/10 - a bit too spicy for us but great crust). Overall, would recommend Verace for a date night!

🥖 Appetizers We started with the mussels for our antipasti, and they were cooked to perfection. Fresh, full bodied, and flavorful. We requested them “spicy” though they could’ve used just a bit more heat. The portion size was impressively generous for the price; easily shareable among four people, though recommended for two. The house-made bread was the perfect companion, soaking up every drop of the San Marzano tomato sauce. You can really taste the quality in their olive oil and balsamic vinegar, clearly sourced with care. 🍝 Mains The Ravioli Funghi was a standout; rich, creamy, and comforting. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, and adding their house chili oil gives the dish a beautiful kick. It’s the kind of meal that feels like a warm hug. The Iberico Pork Chop was simply phenomenal. Tender, juicy, and beautifully balanced with just the right amount of fat. The rosemary jus tied everything together seamlessly. Served with green beans and crispy-yet-soft potatoes that were downright addictive. The only downside? We wished there was more, the portion size left us wanting just another bite. 🍨 Dessert We finished the night with a complimentary scoop of gelato. Nothing special here but it was a kind gesture as we were celebrating a birthday. 🎖️ Service Service was wonderful, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. The staff managed to fit in our last-minute larger reservation without a hitch and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. ✨ Ambience The place was buzzing, even on a weekday night. The atmosphere is dark, lively, and modern, making it perfect for both casual and special dinners. The dining space is on the smaller end and seating can be limited. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, but street parking is usually free during dinner time. ⭐ Overall Rating: (4.5/5) An outstanding dining experience with fresh, high-quality ingredients and dishes that deliver comfort. Between the impeccable service and cozy yet lively setting, it’s easy to see why this spot is always packed.

We ordered pizza and parmezan chicken which was generous and perfect. The main downside is the space between two tables which is dramatically small. I literally felt people at the next table are sitting at ours. Therefore, you should not expect that much of a privecy. One more shocking thing was a piece of white plastic at the bottom of my glass floating between the ice. I had no idea what it was and where it came from. I informed the staff, although they took the drink off my bill instantly, it could not be much of a compensation.

Dim sum restaurant
Pearl Oakville Chinese Cuisine is a delightful gem that promises an exceptional dining experience, showcasing the vibrant and diverse flavors of authentic Chinese cuisine. With its sophisticated atmosphere and attentive staff, this restaurant caters to both traditional tastes and modern culinary trends. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes, from mouthwatering dim sum to exquisite seafood options, all prepared with high-quality ingredients and artistic flair.
Fast food fast, home cooked delicious! Was surprised when we pulled up to a mall, thought Google was taking us to a food court. Glad I didn't turn around. First impression, deceived by the location. Inside, Tiffany colors, higher end decor. Met with a smile, incredibly friendly service, seated right away. Ordered from their incredible menu, mostly dim sum. Tried all the dumplings, cucumber jellyfish, and fried veg rolls. I couldn't stop mmmmmm'ing the entire time. Absolutely incredible taste. My fave is the jellyfish and the "hockey pucks". Even the Jasmin tea was very good. The food came out within minutes after ordering, super fast, super fresh. This place is definitely going into my "favorites" list.

We visited Pearl Chinese Cuisine in Oakville for a company celebration — a group of about 15. We had a reservation but were split into two tables instead of one long one, which wasn’t ideal for a group function. Service was quite slow and felt fragmented; drinks took a while to arrive, and my blueberry cocktail was disappointing — more like fizzy water with a few berries. I started with the sweet & sour seafood soup, which was just okay — I’ve had better elsewhere, especially for a restaurant positioned as gourmet. The shrimp fried wontons were the highlight among the starters — really tasty and a great way to kick things off. The duck platter was very good — tender, flavorful, and nicely complemented by the condiments, sauces, and soft buns. Unfortunately, the lobster was underwhelming — it tasted bland and some pieces didn’t feel fully cooked. The beef plates were excellent: tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The chicken dish, however, felt overdone and didn’t have the authentic Chinese touch I expected. The pineapple fried rice was fine but arrived too late — after the mains — which threw off the flow of the meal. Overall, we had a good time as colleagues, but the experience didn’t feel like great value for money considering the gourmet label. I might give them one more chance, but I’m not in a hurry to return.

Very tasty food, some of the best we've had! It was really busy, given it was father's day, however the service was quick and everything flowed well. The prices were decent but the food portions were on the smaller side. The interior was really nice and their tea was really good! I strongly reccomend their congee, just be prepared that the portion is smaller than usual.

We were in the area and wanted to have lunch before we went back to Toronto. We passed by the mall and saw this place right outside. Luckily, they weren’t too busy so we got seated right away. Once seated, we were greeted by our server right away and explained how to order off the menu. We got a variety of different dishes and were impressed with the flavour of it all. If we’re ever in the area again, we would come back here!

We hosted our wedding tea ceremony and rehearsal dinner at Pearl Oakville and we were so happy with how everything turned out! There are 3 private rooms, and the walls can open up to form one big private room. The space is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We mainly worked with Stanley and Bonnie to plan and set up the event, and they were both kind, supportive, and accommodating. The rest of the waitstaff were fantastic as well. And of course, the food was delicious! We’ve been here before for dim sum and dinner as well and have always had a great experience. We highly recommend Pearl Oakville, whether it’s for a casual meal or a planned event!

2025.04 I changed the review from 3 stars to 4 stars based on my recent visit. Very friendly staff and prices seemed reasonable for the items we ordered as shown in the last 3 pics. Recommend: shrimp dumpling har kau, bbq pork pie, egg yolk bun, and jinsha melon. 2023.05 Overall, very friendly staff, quick services and authentic Chinese dim sum (but nothing extraordinary) which I would have given 4 stars; however the price was so much more expensive (compared to other Chinese dim sum places offering similar or better food quality) which I would have given 2 stars; as a result I am giving 3 stars. Dishes not recommended: fried beef short ribs (too sweet), black sesame balls (filling not tasting fresh), egg tart (shell not crispy) Dishes recommended: calamari, egg yolk bun, curry cuttle fish, scallop dumplings (not so different from har gau) Overall, a good place to try dim sum if you are in the mall or if you are NOT price-conscious; not recommended for those who are looking for value for money

Great Chinese restaurant with dim sum lunch as well. Beautiful dining room, great service, delicious food.

Came here for dim sum with my family. Food, service, and atmosphere were great. Love the interior, makes you feel like you’re on a cruise or something. Giving a 4 star review just because it’s a little overpriced in my opinion. Try out the mango pudding and lychee dessert.

Mediterranean restaurant
Maro's is a charming canteen in Oakville that offers a delightful mix of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. The restaurant is known for its savory crêpes, shawarma, and authentic Lebanese dishes. It has become a go-to spot for vegetarians and vegans looking for flavorful options. Visitors praise the warm ambiance, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The generous portions of fresh and delicious food make it a must-visit for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine.
The food is delicious! Fresh, tasty, unique combinations. Great for vegetarians and others. Gluten free options too. The portions are generous enough to share. I like that we were not rushed and could enjoy a leisurely meal. There’s outdoor seating too and it’s accessible for strollers, walkers etc. Street parking available. Service was excellent. Will definitely return!
Lala D — Google review
Our friends took us to Maro's and we liked their food. Their shawarma are great and we did taste few other dishes as well. Service and portion was very good. Only issue we had was the waiting time. If there is a possibility to reserve a table in advance, that will be helpful as we had to wait for around 30mins with our 2yr old kid.
Mohan V — Google review
Maro’s Oakville – Outstanding Experience! We absolutely loved choosing Maro’s for dinner! The food was fantastic and the portion sizes were huge—easily enough for two people to share. Service was unbelievably quick, and our server, Tamara, was exceptional. She recommended some amazing dishes and drinks, and her friendly attitude made the experience even better. We ordered the fried cauliflower and Maro’s special Lebanese chicken on rice—both were absolutely delicious. They also have a lovely patio, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Considering the portion sizes and incredible flavors, the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious food, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere!

4 years ago I used to come here almost weekly! Love the Bella and the Beast dish with added chicken shawarma and extra garlic sauce !! 4 years ago it cost $19.45 for this dish. 2 years ago it cost $28. I haven’t been in about a year. We came today and it a whopping $33 !!!! We stayed anyways. I expect that since it’s sooooo expensive now it would be amazing. I did ask the server “wow these prices have gone up!! She literally rolled her eyes and said “yes I know … Maro likes his money” Today we ordered the Bella and the beast with chicken shawarma and the Halloumi. The halloumi was cold and the serve DID take it off the bill which we didn’t ask for which was nice. I usually love love love this meal. Maybe it was an off day. The chicken was dry and cold! The cauliflower was good but not as good as I was used to. I took my sister visiting from out of town like i usually take my guests and we left disappointed. We were also not able to sit outside due to a wasp issue. Now I understand they are bad but they are bad at my own place to I just circle my yard with traps

One of my favourite restaurants in Oakville! My go to orders are: - Avocado Salad with Authentic chicken (the chicken you have to get!) - Fried Cauliflower dish (Beauty & A Beet?) Can’t remember the exact name but it is really good - I also order a side of their potatoes The portions are huge, the flavours are great and strongly recommend!
Tianmi L — Google review
Maro’s Bistro immediately caught our attention with its really cool and stylish website—and the restaurant itself had some good vibes too, with a rustic, eclectic interior that felt both cosy and lively. For drinks, I ordered Cameron’s Cosmic Cream Ale—but was a bit disappointed to find it came in a can instead of draft, which wasn’t clearly mentioned. It was decent, but not quite what I expected. Initially, I chose Fairouz, but the server informed me they didn’t have it—fair enough—but she seemed rushed and impatient when helping me pick something else. Without much time to browse, she suggested Before Sunset, which thankfully turned out to be a great choice: juicy, flavourful meat, although the garlic potatoes were underwhelming (lacking seasoning and barely any garlic), and the shakshuka was completely different from the traditional dish you’d expect. Still, overall, I’d rate it 4/5. My wife ordered Here Comes the Bride, a fish entrée. Surprisingly generous in portion and featuring decent-quality, the fish didn’t feel fresh though. The dish could have used more dipping sauce for the bread served alongside it, but overall, this meal was okay. 3.5/5. As for service, it felt a bit rushed. We were seated quickly, but while my wife was still on a phone call, the server returned twice within minutes to check if we were ready to order. I ended up ordering a drink just to move things along. When we finally placed our food order, the server didn’t mention the massive portion sizes—something we overheard another server warning a nearby table about. It would have been nice if the advice was consistent; we couldn’t finish either of our meals and had to pack them to go. Prices are on the higher side (around $30 per dish), but considering the huge portions, it somewhat balances out. Parking is tough though—there’s no public lot nearby, so you’ll have to hunt for street parking and hope for some luck.

Popped into Maro's for the vegan/vegetarian selection after some shopping nearby, and we're so glad we did. The staff were lovely and friendly right away, no wait for a table and drinks were on the way in moments. The food was phenomenal...fresh, flavorful and so much of it. We ordered the K-Saq and A Day In a Lebanese Mountain and both were amazing. We added some cocktails and our night was set. Many thanks to our tremendous server Sarah for recommendations and steering to great tasting food! We will definitely be back.
Jeff T — Google review
Maro’s serves interesting middle Eastern and western fushion food and the results are somewhat mixed. Some dishes turn out better than others, for example their falafels are soft and the best I’ve had. The sweets are also quite good. However, the savoury shakshouka and chicken sandwich were a bit greasy and bland. The service was also slow despite being off lunch hours. It’s worth trying for the variety.

This was my first visit, definitely not my last. The service was absolutely outstanding. The waitress recommended that i try the sea bass. I'm not a fish person! I gotta say, this dish was absolutely amazing! The most wonderful flavors. Good portion and great presentation! Highly recommend.

Stop by for lunch on a Sunday. Beautiful space and nice decor. Excellent service. They serve a brunch menu and a regular lunch menu. We went with the regular menu. Ordered thr beef tartar, bitter greens as starters and seafood linguine, and chicken for the mains. I also ordered the dreams of oakville cocktail 🍸. Really enjoyed my cocktail, which is a mix of white wine, lime and citus, light and refreshing. As for the starters, those were the highlights of the meal. Really enjoyed the beef tartar that came with slightly toasted bread. The bitter greens came with apple slices and goat cheese, a really good mix. The mains were decent, not bad but also nothing extraordinary. We couldn't really tell if the pasta was freshly made or not, but overall the dish has a good flavor. All in all, think we found a new dining spot!

Ce Soir was the perfect choice for our wedding! From our very first visit, we knew we had found something special. The venue is absolutely charming, and the food was incredible...our guests are still talking about it! What made the experience unforgettable was Shayna and the team. They were so supportive throughout the entire planning process, always kind, patient, and ready to help with anything we needed. Every visit felt personal and welcoming, and their attention to detail made our wedding night a dream come true. We couldn’t be more grateful for all the hard work and care that went into making our day so perfect. We cannot wait to come back on our anniversaries in the years to come. We would recommend Ce Soir every single time!

It was our first time at Ce Soir for my wife’s birthday and it was amazing! Our server Patrick was great, the food was amazing, table for the break was mediocre. Just wish the house/techno music wasn’t so loud in the dining room area. But overall great experience and will return!

I had lunch with two friends and we were all impressed by the food, so I brought my daughter and husband back for dinner. The lobster pasta, duck, and salmon were all cooked to perfection, with sophisticated layers of flavor in each dish. The portions are generous, larger than typical French cuisine so we were quite full by the end. But we still managed to share the crème brûlée, which is an absolute must-have. A perfect finish to a wonderful meal.
Jenny F — Google review
We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at this restaurant friendly atmosphere. We sat outside, which was really nice to people watch as we ate. Our meal. Definitely would recommend it for something different.
Marina R — Google review
Ce Soir sets the stage for an elevated night out: the lighting is moody, the service professional, and the aesthetic sleek without being sterile. Yet something about the music direction…bold, offbeat, perhaps intentionally disruptive…feels at odds with the otherwise polished dining experience. Whether that contrast is by design or oversight, it’s impossible not to notice. Thankfully, the kitchen more than compensates. Lobster Spaghetti was a standout, perfectly cooked lobster, tender and full of flavour, paired with pasta that was well-textured and dressed in a measured amount of sauce. No excess, no gimmicks — just restraint and technique in perfect balance. Roasted Chicken was quietly exceptional. Seasoned with nuance and baked until it reached an almost confit-level softness, it delivered far more than expected. It’s the kind of dish that, in lesser hands, might be forgettable—but here, it held its own with ease. Ce Soir may need to reconsider its sonic identity, but the culinary execution is confident, composed, and memorable. Ideal for a romantic night out or any occasion where food comes first.

Perfect night out! Great service and the food was fantastic. Didn't get photos of the steak tartare or burrata salad but they were delicious. They only do 5oz wine by the glass (not 9 0z) which was surprising but there pours were super generous! We'll be back!!!

Family restaurant
Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar has been a beloved fixture in Oakville since 1992, offering diners an authentic steakhouse experience. Known for its delectable ribs, prime steaks, and sumptuous lobster dishes, this restaurant boasts a sophisticated atmosphere with warm wooden accents and stylish lighting that create an inviting space. The dining area features plush red leather booths that enhance the cozy yet upscale vibe.
Baton Rouge Grillhouse absolutely crushed it. The steak? Juicy perfection. The soup? Like a warm hug in a bowl. The dessert? I considered licking the plate but remembered I’m a grown adult (barely). And the staff? So friendly, I half-expected them to join us for dessert. For the price of the Sunday deal, I felt like I was robbing the place—except they handed me the bill with a smile. If you’re not here on a Sunday, you’re doing life wrong.

Went for a “date night” with half price wines on Thursday. No reservations and good tables available at 6 pm. Our server was Kevin and he was fabulous. Gave us lots of time to review the menu and offered some ideas on items. We shared a mixed salad with Green Goddess dressing. Loved it !! My date had the sirloin with a shrimp skewer, and a massive loaded potato. Steak always done to perfection I had the SHORT RIB SEAFOOD PAPPARDELLE ! OMG it was delicious with plenty of black tiger shrimp, massive scallops in a short rib sauce with bits of rib and porcini mushrooms. The fresh pasta was scrumptious. Our wine accompaniment was an Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon that was great at that price point. Too full for dessert, as the wine doubled for dessert. We will definitely be back !!

It’s been too long since I last came here but I’m glad I did. Sylvia was super friendly and attentive as our server and the food and drinks were all delicious. We had the ginormous pretzel with that gooey cheesy sauce and rib steak and chimichurri bavettte steak. Casual elegant decor and comfy banquet seating. Definitely coming back!

We had a great experience! Our server, Silvia, was very hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu. She was so pleasant. The appetizers were delicious, especially the cauliflower bites. I ordered the Santa fe chicken. It was really good and the portion was substantial. I usually have no trouble cleaning my plate but this time I had to ask for a take-away container! Hadn't been to Baton Rouge in a very long time but we will definitely be going back much more often now.

The place is great, the food and service is fantastic. We had a big group, bit the two waiters/ waitress did a great job. The food served quickly and correct food temperature. A good place for a group event.

I’ve always been curious about Bâton Rouge, but never had the chance to try it—until recently. My husband and I stopped in for a date night, and we were pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The host greeted us promptly and kindly showed us to our table. The service overall was decent—our server was polite and efficient, but a bit lacking in warmth and personality. While she completed everything expected of her, the interaction felt a bit impersonal, which stood out given the upscale feel of the restaurant. That said, the food more than made up for it. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizer and both of our entrées. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The drinks were also excellent and complemented the meal well. All in all, we had a lovely evening. While the service could be slightly more engaging, the quality of the food and the overall experience still made it a night to remember. I’d definitely recommend Bâton Rouge and would be happy to return.

Update No. 2. After some time I came back. The service and the food were good. Even though the place wasn't busy and there were a lot of empty tables, we were seated in one that a piece of wood in the top wasn't there and also had some small pieces removed. This is an easy fix, however it damages the impression you can have of a place like this. Please pay attention to these details, which certainly can impact customers. Update: Came back after long time on Saturday night. We had a reservation for 7:30pm. We did not have to wait for our table. The waitress was very friendly and constantly asking how we were doing and if there was something else we wanted. The food was good without being exceptional. The prices were fair. I went with my family on last Sunday evening for dinner. Most of the restaurant was empty. The service and the food were good. The prices were not too bad.

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at this location. The first dish I was served had a hair in it. Later, when I ordered juice, I discovered an insect inside the glass after I had already drunk part of it. This was extremely upsetting and caused me stomach discomfort. I tried to follow up with management but unfortunately did not receive any response. Food safety and hygiene should be taken much more seriously to protect customers. I truly hope the management addresses this issue properly so that no other customer has to go through the same experience.

Brü Restaurant is a charming spot that perfectly blends rustic charm with a vibrant atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for food and drink enthusiasts. With its inviting brick walls and wooden accents, this establishment offers a delightful menu featuring unique twists on classic pub fare, such as Hoisin Grilled Calamari and Jerk Chicken Skewers. The highlight here is undoubtedly the impressive craft beer selection, boasting six taps and over 30 bottled options—many sourced from local Ontario breweries.
We decided to check Bru out because I wanted to try the fish and chips and I have had a hard time finding somewhere in Oakville that was somewhere I would return to aside from one other one place. I ordered the Fish and Chips and my girlfriend ordered the Turkey Club to eat and ciders/beer to drink. The Fish was perfect because the batter to fish ratio was prefect and my girlfriend enjoyed Turkey Club but the fries were not consistently cooked. The service was good for the majority of the meal but although the beer came quickly the ciders ordered took longer to arrive despite being in a can and I saw about four cans pass our table ten minutes before one arrived at our table (about ten after it was ordered) and the server apologized for the delay. Overall, I think this is a good place to go for good portions and an enjoyable meal.

Coriander Green is an Indian restaurant located in Oakville, known for its classic Indian cuisine such as butter chicken and lamb biryani. The restaurant's saffron-colored space pays homage to the king of Indian herbs and the vibrant colors of various Indian ingredients. Established in 2005 by Chef Harminder and his wife Sheena, Coriander Green offers authentic Indian dishes that cater to Canadian tastes. The menu includes mildly spiced options for those who prefer less heat.
My wife’s family have been ordering takeout from Coriander Green for many years but we recently dined in for the first time, and the friendly service and atmosphere were fantastic. We ordered all our favourites including the tandoori chicken which came out sizzling on a hot skillet and the dishes and cutlery were stunning. Beautiful people, atmosphere, and phenomenal food as usual!

We ordered lamb biryani, chicken biryani and mixed grill through Uber eats. The rice and meat in biryani and mixed grill was dry and old. There was no flavor in the food. I called and spoke with Simple (manager) at the restaurant. She sent me a brand new order but it was the same. I am very disappointed with the quality of the food because we use to go to this restaurant frequently. Seems like the chef has changed. Would not recommend this place at all.

The food was ok . We have had better Indian food. We ordered simple dishes but we were shocked with the pricing. It’s ridiculously expensive. I bet it’s because they are in Oakville. $12.00 for two samosas. It’s daylight robbery.

This quiet restaurant has a lovely terrace. The rice was flavorful, but the chicken was overcooked and dry. The naan was decent. The chicken tikka was tasty, although it was slightly dry.

Great food.!! Service is top notch, Mohammad is such a smiling and comforting guy. Their Naan is the best, fresh made, they were the best I have tried. The food served was hot, just how we like it. Overall a good experience. Would visit again.!! One observation I would like to mention; they had a lot of takeouts during the time we were dining there and they gave equal attention to order pickup guys/people there asking them to be seated and if they would like some water. Have not seen that quite often.!!

Pub
Nestled in the heart of Oakville, The Pipes and Taps Pub is a charming Scottish tavern that perfectly blends tradition with a relaxed atmosphere. This inviting spot features an old-fashioned decor complemented by modern amenities like TVs for sports enthusiasts and a lovely patio for those who prefer al fresco dining. With an extensive selection of artisan beers and spirits, it’s the ideal place to unwind after work or enjoy a night out with friends.
It’s a bar right across the street from where I live and I go there regularly. I always feel welcomed and I love the whole feel of the place. Staff is very friendly and know things on the menu. Beers are cold, food is hot and tasty. Service is quick and efficient. Rob knows his customers and is always welcoming and making sure you have a great time. I will keep coming here. Don’t forget to take LifeSavers mints 😊

Three of us arrived at 7 for dinner on Friday night. The pub was half empty, but music was playing and we had been here before and enjoyed it. We had nachos, two orders of fish and chips, and a salad plus drinks. The nachos were cold when they arrived, and the guacamole we ordered never arrived in spite of two waitresses telling us it would come and watching four waitresses gab at the bar for ten minutes. For $29 it was not good value for money. The fish and chips was a much smaller portion than at other pubs we have been to. And disappointing. The salad was fresh and nicely laid out ingredients by ingredient on a long plate…just not really big enough to mix. Our dinner with a modest tip (which is frankly more than it deserved) was $160. I am afraid the service wasn’t good enough, the food wasn’t good enough and the price wasn’t worth it. We won’t be back. Too bad. Love a local pub.

We visited this place in Oakville last night with friends, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We arrived around 9 PM (on a Friday night) and the place was almost empty, but we still decided to stay. Our server was polite and attentive at first. However, at 9:30 PM she informed us that the kitchen would be closing soon (even though the restaurant itself closes at 11 PM), so we rushed to order a few more dishes. By 10 PM we were told it was “last call” for drinks because the bar was also closing early. Just a few minutes later, the staff started vacuuming the carpets, turning off lights, closing the blinds, and basically making it very clear that we were being pushed out. When we questioned why they were closing so early, we were told it was because there were “no customers” – but we were customers, sitting right there. The whole situation felt unprofessional and extremely uncomfortable. The man at the bar, who seemed to be the owner, had a terrible attitude and gave the impression that customers were more of a nuisance than anything else. It’s clear that they do not value their customers. We left feeling unwelcome and rushed, and we will definitely not be returning. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a positive dining experience.
Dany S — Google review
The staff was respectful, but the owner made it clear I couldn’t have more than one drink — despite being well within posted business hours. While I was quietly sitting and having that one drink, the server brought the bill without me asking, and the music was turned off mid-drink. The energy made it very clear I wasn’t welcome. Not the experience you expect when trying to enjoy a quick, respectful drink before close. Won’t be returning. (Update: In response to the owner’s reply…) It’s unfortunate that instead of accepting valid feedback, you’ve chosen to twist the situation and launch personal attacks. To clarify: • At no point was I informed that last call had already happened. I politely asked the server if I could order two drinks. She looked to you and said, “Whatever you decide.” You responded that I could have only one, which I respectfully accepted without issue. • I sat quietly and peacefully with my drink. Midway through, the bill was brought without me asking, and the music was turned off — making it very clear I was being rushed out, even though I hadn’t done anything wrong or disruptive. • When I tried to have a normal, respectful conversation with you, you responded dismissively, including saying, “We close when I say we close,” which was unnecessary and condescending. For the record, I don’t normally post reviews, but I felt compelled to write one this time — not because of the service from your staff (who were polite), but because of your attitude. Your response here — calling me “entitled,” “petty,” and “cowardly” — only reinforces why I felt the need to speak up. It wasn’t about the drink — it was about how you made someone feel unwelcome for no reason. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated experience. I won’t be returning, and I hope others read this and think twice before supporting a place where the ownership treats customers this way.

I live close by. Today (Friday) looking for a good pub to have good time with friends came to this Pub. Service started very good, but started to receive early warnings of kitchen last call (at 9:30) and last call on drinks at 10:00. It’s Friday, closing time its listed to be 11:00 PM. Reading other bad reviews, it seem to be consistent. Got the bill without asking at 10:15 PM and by 10:30 they where already vacuuming and closing drapes and making us feel unwelcome. Just list closing time at 10:00 PM and save yourself from bad reviews. Its basic customer service 1:1. I did not enjoy the time. Its the last time here. And I will make sure I spread the word.
Luis R — Google review
Horrible service (1000%,)...the waitress had major attitude, was lazy, didn't care, and seemed as if she didn't even want to be working there or even serving. She even asked us if we wanted anything from the kitchen at 8:30pm, and said it was last call. We asked if they were closing the kitchen, we were never asked if we wanted dessert. And also last call for the bar was at 9:30pm on a Friday night. On top of that, I made a reservation on a Monday evening for a Friday. Never got a confirmation within 24 hours. So I called Tuesday evening to find out about it. They said they don't check their online reservations 24/7, and reservations are all done online, not on the phone! I would have rated them with no stars after this experience!

We frequent our local pub often for its relaxed atmosphere, a quick drink or a casual meal. The drink list offers craft beers and a thoughtful selection of quality wines and whisky. Food is high-quality pub staples like burgers and fish and chips. Service is friendly.

For a pub, the food was much better than expected! The green curry and liver dish was very enjoyable. Service was speedy and friendly. The staff appears to follow pandemic safety measures well and was diligent/cleanly. My only complaint was that they were out of tennents! Other than that, great place to make your local pub

If you're on the hunt for authentic Italian cuisine crafted with love and dedication, look no further than Justino's Wood Oven Pizza. This charming eatery pays homage to Mama Rosa's cherished recipes, making it a favorite among diners of all ages. Families will appreciate the generous portions that offer great value, as well as the delightful flavors that linger even in leftovers.
Went on a date here with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed the food and the service. Their margarita mozzarella wood oven pizza is delicious! The staff is very friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Went with my kids and wife. Portions were very generous, great bang for your buck. My wife and I both ordered pasta and a pizza to share, both tasted great. Couldn’t finish there and tasted just as good as leftovers. Service reminded me more of a European restaurant, like in Italy, they’re not checking on you every 30 seconds they let you enjoy your company and meal, which I like. They were very friendly and hospitable. We are definitely going to be coming back regularly.

Justino’s is the kind of spot that reminds you why wood oven pizza is unbeatable. I ordered their pizza along with mussels in tomato sauce, and both were outstanding. The mussels came in a rich, flavorful sauce that was perfect for dipping. The pizza had that perfect balance: crisp wood-fired crust, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of char. The service was exceptional friendly, attentive, and welcoming. What really sets Justino’s apart is knowing the original owner is still in the kitchen, handcrafting pizzas with fresh, quality ingredients. You can taste the passion in the food. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

Comfort food with friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere. I had the puttanesca pizza with house chili oil. It was delicious. The recipes they use are traditional and faithfully followed. Fresh ingredients and made with care. If you're craving wood fired pizza, give this spot a try. Just as well, you will also find pasta, dessert and appetizers on the menu which will cater to any tastes. Highly recommended from a repeat customer.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Oakville, The King's Arms is a charming British-style pub that has become a beloved local hotspot. With its inviting patio and eclectic menu featuring everything from sharing plates to mouthwatering burgers, it caters to diverse tastes. Originally known as The Duke of Bedford and later The Manchester Arms, this historical site has been delighting patrons since 1993 under the ownership of Rob O'Donovan and Angelo Triant.
First time here thanks to a friend’s recommendation. Very nice atmosphere. Cool place and vibe. All the staff was great! We had Brie for the afternoon and she made sure to accommodate all our requests with a smile on her face. A guy -who I guess is a manager- was always around making sure everything was good. Food was delish!! Definitely a future repeat.

I had the pleasure of dining here over the weekend, and I can't even begin to express how incredible the experience was. From the moment we arrived, my friend and I felt truly welcomed cared for and the most important guests in the room. I won a gift card from a contest and chose this restaurant because its divers food option. As a someone who tends to stick to the basics, I was thrilled to find menu items that gently nudged me out of my comfort zone while still feeling also safe and familiar! My best friend and I accidentally entered through the wrong way (tip: enter through the alleyway/ courtyard, not the street entrance), but were greeting by a friendly staff manager named Brody. He assured up that it was not a problem and that we'd be seated shortly after we walked through. I noticed how hands-on we was with other guests, making sure everyone had what they needed. Our server, Emily, was fantastic- friendly attentive, and efficient. When I mentioned I had a gift card and asked for recommendations, she offered great suggestions and turned out to be absolutely delicious! The owner, Rob, even came by to introduced himself and would check in on us regularly, which added a really personal touch. It was also heartwarming to see how well the staff interacted with one another and with other customer. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. We were invited to return later that night for drinks and dancing, but unfortunately couldn't make it back. That gives me more reason to return and not miss out on the full experience! Even though I came from out of town, I'd gladly make the trip again just to return. Thank you, Rob, Emily and Brody for making our visit memorable and lavish dining experience I've had this year!

The King’s Arm is our regular go-to for family dinners, and we love the lively atmosphere—though it does get packed on weekends (worth it!). On our last visit, everything was great as usual, though we noticed their famous curry dish (their #1 seller) tasted a little different. The staff was friendly when we mentioned it, which we appreciated. What keeps us coming back? The solid beer/wine list perfect for pairing with their hearty pub fare. Whether it’s a casual weeknight meal or a weekend treat, this place will be a good choice. Still our one of top choicec for dinners with my teen kids in downtown Oakville!

We had reservations for a Saturday night. It was busy and loud but enjoyable. Our server was able to maintain a great level of service for all the tables that he was taking care of. I had a new menu item a type of prime rib dip and it was delicious and filling. The cocktails were delicious!

Thank you so much to the staff at the King's Arms Oakville for hosting our private corporate event in their Lion's Den space. The space was the perfect size and atmosphere for our event! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially when we needed to set up the TV to share a presentation. They communicated well and were prompt with any questions or concerns we had! The food was great too, so many people mentioned it! We had a selection of appetizers that were all delicious. The staff also communicated easily with me in advance while we were planning the event, and made the evening stress free! I would definitely recommend hosting any events here, and I'm sure we will in the future too!

Over the weekend, we booked the Lion’s Den room upstairs, and it was fantastic! It had been a long time since I’d been up there, and the updates are impressive—the space looks amazing. From the very beginning, Rob was incredibly helpful in organizing our event. He guided us through tasting menus and provided all the information we needed. On the day of the event, we were given early access to set up our decorations, which made everything run smoothly. The food exceeded our expectations, everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The attention to detail was top-notch. This included both vegetarian and carnivore food. The sliders, chicken tenders, and dips with pitas were standouts. Oh and their fries are next level. A huge shoutout to Katey, Tanya, and the rest of the pub staff for their warm hospitality. They welcomed our guests with smiles and were attentive to everyone’s needs, including some picky kids keeping the cold drinks flowing all afternoon! Overall, the entire process—from planning to execution—was seamless. We had a wonderful time hosting our event here and would absolutely recommend this space for your next gathering or even just a visit to enjoy their elevated pub fare.

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday at The Kings Arms in their private party room, Lino’s Den, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we first met with Brodie to discuss the event, the entire booking process was seamless. The team guided us through menu planning, timing, and flow of service, which made everything leading up to the big night stress-free and effortless. A huge thank you to Rob, the owner, for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear he pours his heart into this restaurant, making it more than just a place to dine, it truly feels like a hub for community, celebrations, and unforgettable memories right here in Oakville. On the night itself, our servers Brie and Tanya were absolutely outstanding. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail ensured that every guest felt cared for. They anticipated our needs before we could even ask and added thoughtful touches that made the evening truly special. The food was phenomenal. Beautifully presented, perfectly prepared, and served right on schedule. The wine list was another highlight, with crowd-pleasers like Côtes du Rhône, Super Tuscan selections, and crisp Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, all of which paired perfectly with the menu. Every guest raved about the quality of the food and drinks. The combination of a lively atmosphere, impeccable service, and exceptional dining made this milestone birthday one we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic meal. I cannot recommend The Kings Arms enough. Rob and his amazing team truly set the standard for hospitality!

Came here on Saturday night and it was packed. Super lively inside. The food was really good. The nachos with beef was a HUGE portion and the toppings were layered well throughout - probably the first time I got nachos in my life where I wasn’t disappointed with the pieces in the bottom. The fried chicken sandwich was also so good - well seasoned and large size. The seafood linguini was probably my least favourite of the three but that’s just my personal preference since I like a lighter sauce, was still good and the seafood in the pasta was cooked perfectly. Last but not least the service was probably one of the best I’ve ever received. I felt very well attended to even though I was seated in the far back, our server made the effort to do rounds and check on us every couple minutes she was amazing. Would definitely come back.

Genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I have ever experienced. Family of 6, had to wait 20 minutes just for water. Another 40 minutes for appetizers (and the restaurant had only 1 family dining in at the time), and then close to another hour for our main course. I asked the waiter/owner why there was such a hold up, and he rudely responded we’re working on it. Completely unapologetic. Small food portions, pricey, and a dull, mundane atmosphere. Requested to have our table cleaned (it was sticky and you could blatantly see markings from glasses / bottles. Owner came back with a dry rag, made no attempt to apologize and didn’t even look at us while he half heartedly gave it a swipe. Will never, ever be going to this place again ! I would highly recommend not trying this place.

At first contact, I thought it was the proprietor taking my call, a real person making my reservation for the most quiet table. Got there and Jessica was quick to place us in a quiet corner, get us some drinks and tell us not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 specials at lunch hour. The matron showed us a photo of my date's daughter on the wall with 2 other waitresses, an image of a family atmosphere. The menu provides a broad, copious choice of yummy comfort food at reasonable prices. What's not to like? Add it to your bucket list of "repeat value for money".

Food is good! Service is good! Only on thing, the washroom need to be improved, cause there are two washrooms in total and all genders use. It is near to Ice Rink, so many parents brought kids to eat together. My daughter had bad experience with sexism when she was using washroom. Three boys are older than her saw that she got into the washroom. Then, those boys played locker to make sound just when she got in. She came back to check the locker, opened the door to looked at those boys and asked them to stop. Unfortunately those boys did not listen and did again when she closed the door. Then, she had to left the washroom, came to the front desk to tell the staff and ask my help. I brought her back to washroom, and boys told me that she just came out from the washroom and one of their teammates is in the washroom now. They have to go washroom first because they have hockey game very soon. (Just worry about that if future hockey players like this behavior, what the sport world will be?) Well, we talked to their parents in the end before we left. But I would say, busy restaurant with only two washroom like this, I would not recommend. I am not going to bring kids back here anymore if the atmosphere likes this.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Oakville, Tribeca Coffee Co. is a trendy and inviting spot that perfectly blends artisanal coffee culture with a cozy atmosphere. This New York-inspired café is not just about great brews; it’s also an ideal workspace for remote professionals or a fun hangout for friends looking to enjoy board games together. With its focus on community, Tribeca Coffee Co.
Spacious, bright, and dialled‑in on great coffee. We rolled in at opening time and the barista nailed my macchiato—bold yet smooth. It’s a conveniently located cafe in the downtown Oakville shopping area. I had a Golden Latte which was surprisingly good. It’s coffee with turmeric, ginger, and other spices. I enjoyed it thoroughly! However, I wish it had been served in a ceramic cup as we told the order taker that we would be having it in the café. They have a decent amount of seating. Sometimes, when they are very busy it can become difficult to find a place to sit.

After lunch, we stopped by for a coffee. Ordered an iced mocha which was really good and smooth. They also have a good selection of baked goods i clouding vegan options. I also really like the decor and overall ambiance of the place, selling their own merch and some nice pottery items. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon. They do have a small sitting area in the back and front of the shop.

Brought 2 kids here for dinner as a family and it was great for a Sunday. Free parking out front. Food options were varied you can have anything from salads, pasta, pizza to burgers and curry! We had the gourmet burger which was yummy, generous portion of fries, the kids mac and cheese which was really filling , again generous portion, and the organic butter tofu. All very delicious. Will come again to try the other dishes. No tips as they already add a 15% on the pre tax value.

I got the buffalo cauliflower wing bowl and oh my goodness it was delicious. I live 4 hours away and I think about driving there to get this bowl again. It was fantastic. The service was also great, everyone was so kind and helpful. The restaurant itself is super cute! It’s clean, easy on street parking, easy to read menu. I appreciated that all the ingredients are listed on the menu items. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, especially those with dietary restrictions. However, even without dietary restrictions, you could find a delicious option for anyone!

The butter tofu was great, but the gluten free cookie was scrumptious!! 😋 I've also tried the sweet and spicy lettuce wraps (my favorite) and the crab cake burger which were all good as well.

Community is a stellar restaurant, I really have nothing but praise for this place. Their food quality is excellent, their service is always great, and the ambience is very nice, great for larger groups or more intimate meals. I have to recommend the gnocchi and the mushroom risotto. I, along with most other people I’ve come here with, can’t resist getting one of these dishes every single time we come. I recently branched out and ordered the butter tofu, and it was really delicious as well. This is a great slightly upscale option in Oakville, for dine in or takeout, I’ve done both with great results. I highly recommend.

Chicken and waffles were delicious! Food and service were exactly what we needed on a Sunday morning. (There was an iPad or something with a very annoying sound that kept going off throughout our meal, please turn that down)

Returned to Community after having issues with some staff. I must say the staff member was very warm and welcoming when placing my pickup order, safe to say the issue has been resolved from previous visits. The food was still warm on arrival and presentation was beautiful of the food. Their new bowl is definitely going to be a go to for future orders and is so filling! Crispy tofu on the side literally tastes like chicken tenders with great seasoning with a crispy outside (love). The Benny breakfast is served with French fries now, but the egg Benny is still just as great and the 2 warm tomatoes is what makes it what it is. Also ordered the Rolo cake for the first time, it's nice, but very sweet. The carrot cake is still my number 1. Overall, a very nice visit with all the food exceeding expectations.

A celebration event and family surprised us to this previously untried restaurant. Of the two staff on duty none of them acknowledged our presence even though they were few feeta away from and us and were not attending a customer. Took a good while to make us sit in a half empty restaurant. The food came pretty quickly and service was just OK after that. The interior is nice. The coffee we started was very weak and lukewarm warm. We asked for a refill and the refill was the same as well. Hollandaise Benny was good, the Just egg perhaps cooked from the frozen ready was good. The Impossible/Beyond Sausage was good. The Hollandaise sauce was well made. Disappointed with the home fries quantity - very few. The Chik’n Burger made from Oyster Mushroom was very good. Crunchy outside and shredded mushroom to give a chicken texture. Just too greasy for us. Again the fries very few - the plate looks empty and not filling for us. IMO not good enough value for almost $25 all in. The Chik’n and Waffles, same Chik’n as the burger good. The 3 piece (?) waffles were great. The fries still less, however there some salad as well. Good restaurant, OK service. Food is OK, a bit pricey for what we got.

Warm welcome, quickly seated for our reservations and drinks came quick. Staff were amazing. We went to celebrate a birthday here and loved it! Great ambiance and delicious food! We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and mushroom pizza as our appetizer (note pizza takes about 20-25 min) but we were definitely enjoying our drinks while we waited. For the main course, we ordered the risotto, Alfredo pasta, Mac and cheese penne and the gnocchi. All were super flavourful and filling! We had to pack some to bring home because we were stuffed! Our tummy’s were very happy in the end :). We can’t wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu! I’d definitely recommend this to all my friends (vegan, vegetarians and meat lovers)! As a meat lover, I completely forgot we were eating vegan dishes. It was that good!

Piano Piano Restaurant, located at 120 Thomas St in Oakville and owned by renowned chef Victor Barry, offers a delightful Italian dining experience. The restaurant's charming building features a beautiful pink floral mural, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests. Known for its unpretentious yet expertly-made Italian favorites, the menu boasts a wide selection of dishes including mushroom cavatelli, eggplant fritti, and roasted sea bass.
This is the second time I have been to Piano Piano for a celebration. Both times they have come up trumps. We were served by Katie who was just delightful and the other servers and bar staff were also lovely and helpful. The food was delicious, we did the special Sunday supper which gave us a (big) taste of some of the dishes - way too much for us so we have some tasty food for lunch tomorrow! The cocktails we had were delicious and the house wine was very good. Ambience was energetic but not too loud, my husband and I could talk easily but there was a buzz around us which we appreciated. I would put this as the best affordable restaurant in Oakville.

Came here for lunch, first time, and the food is damn good. In my opinion it's kind of a cross between Italian and soulful American Italian(which is mostly Sicilian), but it is its own thing. They have some creative dishes like the roasted garlic grapes and focaccia with buratta - couldn't imagine that working and it did it's very much worth it. The pizza is king, they actually make it right and don't care if anyone says it's burned (people who don't know good Neapolitan pizza think char is bad), it has such lovely char on the pies and perfect dough. For mains had eggplant Parm, not the usual they did a spin that was great with some big buttery artichoke hearts and it all blended together. Service was great, staff is nice and I loved the server. Nice, not up in your face giving too much energy, came the perfect amount of times, love it. The restaurant had such a good vibe I'll definitely be back.

Just recent went to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband. We always love coming here and actually had our wedding reception at this location. Service was excellent and prompt. Food came out pretty quickly and beyond delicious. Ambiance was quiet and lovely where we were sitting. I always recommend coming here for the best pizza and pasta!

The whole place is an excellent vibe! Top tier experience The service is exceptional, they made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The food is 12/10 🔥🔥🔥 Everything I ordered was a hit! Texture, taste, presentation on point, and big portions MUST TRY THE DONUT & CAVIAR

I recently hosted my bridal proposal at Piano Piano’s Oakville location and I truly couldn’t have asked for a more magical experience. From start to finish, everything was absolute perfection. They also allowed me to show up 15 minutes before my reservation to set up my table with some flowers and boxes. The ambiance was warm, elegant, and intimate—exactly the kind of atmosphere I was hoping for. The staff went above and beyond to make the lunch special, accommodating every detail with care and professionalism. They made me and my bridal party feel so celebrated, and their attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Paired with amazing drinks and impeccable service, the entire lunch felt like a dream. I highly recommend the piano piano spritz, the piano piano Caesar salad, the sweet hornet pizza and the Nutella tiramisu!!! Thank you to the entire team at Piano Piano for helping create one of the most unforgettable memories of my wedding journey. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just have great food and service- this is it! 💍🥂✨

Lovely Italian restaurant. Honestly think the inside is cuter than the patio, and they leave all the windows open so indoor seats feel very “outdoors” with better ambiance. The y toast appetizer was so delish. The burrata was not nearly as good, particularly because the bread didn’t taste fresh or impressive - just overcooked stale bread TBH (would be pressed to equate it to “focaccia” as they do in the menu). Nonetheless while the grilled grapes were interesting, the burrata was nothing more than Costco garlic bread, burrata and grilled grapes, all for the price of $26. Pizza was good, fair price, fair size. It is not clear which sauce goes on which, ie we were surprised that the fungi pizza was a white sauce. I believe that should come with a warning. The octopus was good, albeit $80. It was a bit too vanilla (plain) for me to justify ordering again. It is shareable, size for 2 people, but not 3 as the waiter advertised. Would come back and I would order differently. The only thing I would order again is the ricotta toast appetizer. Need reservations for a summer Saturday night. No piano in the background, which would elevate the atmosphere.

My friend and I came here for lunch back in June, we did the prefixed menu. I’ve been to Piano Piano at their Toronto locations, and always thought their dishes were just ok but decided to check out the Oakville location. The issue at this location wasn’t the food, but the service was awful. Wasn’t attentive, took a while to get our bill. All the food you get for $36 is too bad though. Good from a budget standpoint, you will leave full.

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at Piano Piano on Friday and it did not disappoint! This restaurant has been a long time favourite of mine, so when deciding on an intimate restaurant reception to celebrate our big day, this was the answer. Customer service was excellent! I walked in and they were extremely friendly right away. They let me try the pickles and turnip’s and gave me a sample of the chicken with the sauce! All of the toppings are very fresh and full unlike other restaurants in the area. The food is delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant! Best in oakville:)

One of the best Shawarmas I’ve ever had! I’ve passed by this restaurant many times but never stopped in — today I was lucky to be hungry right in front of it and craving Shawarma. When I walked in, a very friendly guy welcomed me warmly and made me one of the most delicious Shawarmas I’ve ever eaten. The restaurant is clean and well-presented, and even the washroom was spotless. The chef was very easy-going and kind — he even brought out freshly cut onions from the kitchen just to add to my Shawarma. I felt so comfortable there, like I’d been a regular customer for a long time. The Shawarma was mouthwatering, fresh, and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great-tasting Shawarma on the go!

ShawarmaRama - 620 Ford Drive, Oakville Khalid, the chef and owner, is a great guy. Originally from Palestine, his food is really good. This isn't "just another shawarma place". A chicken wrap, fries and a pop will run you about $18 with a tip. Keep your eyes peeled for specials as there are often deals available. For those of you into hummus, Khalid makes his own from scratch, he told me he soaks his chickpeas overnight before making it. There is seating for those that want to dine in, and there's washrooms too.

Great spot for shawarma and authentic Palestinian breakfast. The food is always fresh. The owner is so kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely my go-to spot.

We randomly came across ShawarmaRama a couple of weeks ago, and we’ve already been back three times—it’s that good. The food is absolutely incredible. The hummus, falafel, and foul were out of this world—super fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can really taste the quality in every bite. It’s rare to find a place that nails both shawarma and traditional Middle Eastern breakfast, but they do it effortlessly. Safe to say we’re officially hooked. Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic, delicious food!
Joseph S — Google review
Shawarma Rama is more than just amazing food — it’s an experience! From the moment we walked in, Khaled the owner and chief personally welcomed us with such kindness and warmth, making us feel right at home. His hospitality truly stood out — attentive, generous, and always making sure we had everything we needed. The food itself was outstanding: soft, fresh pita bread, creamy hummus, ful medames full of flavor, perfectly crispy falafel, and a comforting fatteh that tasted just like home. Every bite was authentic, fresh, and made with love. What makes Shawarma Rama special isn’t only the delicious food, but also the spirit of the place — the owner’s passion, the friendly service, and the genuine care for customers. It felt less like eating at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. If you’re looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavors with five-star hospitality, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back — not only for the food, but for the warm welcome every time.

Nestled in the heart of Oakville, Patisserie D'Or is a delightful haven for pastry lovers. This charming patisserie masterfully combines traditional baking techniques with modern flavors, resulting in an impressive array of pastries that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. From their elegant cakes and fresh croissandwiches to delicate desserts, every bite offers a luxurious experience.
Great spot. I tried the almond and plain croissants. They were both done so well. Also had raisin danish which was superb. We enjoyed the spread. Cute spot. Their hours are inconvenient.
Kamna — Google review
We used to love this bakery. Although it was on the pricier side, the quality of the pastries was absolutely worth it (previously). On my more recent visits, I noticed that the chocolate eclairs were depressed, much flatter than they used to be. The flavour was alright but the presentation is lacking - it's not really something I could bring to a get-together with friends. We also got the raisin swirl pastries and the chocolat au pain. The chocolat au pain might as well have been a plain croissant. There were two measly sticks of chocolate in the whole croissant, which also now tastes and feels as if it isn't made with real butter. We missed Monica's friendly presence at the store and asked about her, when we learned that ownership had changed. It seems that new ownership has maintained the higher prices but not the high quality. I would not recommend this patisserie anymore.

Best breakfast I've had in a while. All fresh fruit on top of a perfectly flaky pastry. And they don't cheap out on the fruit glaze, either! Will definitely be coming back to try the sandwhich menu and might make this my new study spot.

I ordered cake from this shop. It was double chocolate mousse cake and it was so delicious. Best cake i ever had. They did a really good job at decorating it. They made it so easy for me and I paid via phone , later went to their shop to get receipt. Friendly staff.

This cafe is very cute and has a lot of seating for such a small space. We unfortunately didn't buy anything as it lacked sandwiches, which is what we were after. It had frozen quiche but nothing savory on hand that we could spot. It's a good croissant/dessert shop. We found it to be a bit pricey but not anything unreasonable. They had nice meringues to go.

Beautiful cozy cafe. The pastries were unique and delicious, highlights were the almond croissant with delicious filling as well as the toffee scone. The drinks were alright and the atmosphere was lovely. One distinct feature of this cafe was their comfortable sofa chairs and lighting. Overall, great cafe!

I had a delightful time at this place! I tried their hazelnut coffee, iced blue tea (you can request the iced version on all their tea menu), a blueberry scone, and a pecan pie. They even make their own desserts, and the pecan pie was heavenly! The hazelnut coffee was smooth and yummy too. The blueberry scone wasn’t as sweet as I thought, but maybe it was because the pie was so sweet. I also really liked the tea. Overall, it was a great experience, and the staff was super friendly.

November 2024 Update This cozy cafe run by hard working owners with a service staff that is friendly and efficient 👍. I have been here multiple times now and the service has always been with a smile 😊. My drinks and their addictive assortment of desserts and savoury treats should be criminal I say …. lol 😂 They get and deserve 5 Stars ✨ all every day of the week and twice on Sundays 👍. Happy eats everyone 😎 I love a classic neighbourhood cafe run by hard working owners who deserve our support and 🫡. Because their servings are a labour of love. And there is always something comforting and magical about a local cafe. A place where people can meet, sit and talk about anything and everything 😀. That feeling of warmth and familiarity is priceless 👍. I ordered a London Fog along with a brownie and their best selling red velvet cookies !!!! They are all highly addictive. So consider yourselves warned 😝. The London Fog was expertly made and it was piping hot. Just the way I like it because many places only serve you like warm even though you requested extra hot … and I really don’t know why. But it was perfect here. Please drop in and give them a try and support another mom and pop local business and then let us all know what your thoughts 💭 are. Happy eats everyone 😎

Found this place during short visit to the city and wanted to warm up with cup of cappuccino. Ended up having tiny cute ice cream, just couldn’t resist as the size is perfect for me. Came into this shop to grab a quick coffee before a cycling class across the street and had a weird and non-welcoming experience. I would have given 0 stars, but the politeness of the woman working behind the counter made me change my rating to one star. There was one customer ahead of me being helped by an employee, so I was essentially the only other customer in the cafe. I saw a group of people sitting at a table in front of the counter, but I was the only customer waiting to be helped. I was waiting for someone to greet me or take my order for at least 5-7 mins before someone at the table seated got up and and helped the girl behind the counter, and then turned to me and ask if I’ve been helped. I thought this was a weird question seeming as they saw me standing there waiting for someone to acknowledge me. I was later surprised to find out this was the manager/owner of the cafe. He took my order, asked how I would pay, and then sat back down. Once my coffee came, it did not taste the greatest but I was willing to overlook due to how long it took me to even place an order. Towards the end of my cup of coffee, I started to taste coffee grounds. When I opened the lid, I saw that the rest of the coffee was straight grounds. I brought this to the attention of the girl working (lovely sweet woman), and she said she would tell her boss. She offered to make me a new coffee, but I did not have time as I had to get to a spin class. The owners should reflect on customer service, flow of service (looked like the girl working had some questions but was apprehensive of bothering her boss), and quality of their products. $5 for coffee grounds is gross. Would not recommend & probably won’t return.

One of the places I’ve wanted to come amd try their coffees for so long! Your first step into this place and it’s a whole new kinda vibe! Not sure what it is but their shared space with chocolato was so well done! The ceiling with those drips of chocolate coming down on one side and the greenery arrangement with the signature Tommy sign on the other! The lucky charms latte had a nice strong espresso flavour that was nice and smooth. The lucky charms in the latte had its pros and cons. The marshmallows portion was a nice little addition of sweetness. The cereal portion didn’t add anything to the coffee for me but because it was made from oats, it did have an oat milk like feel to it which was kinda nice too. With the lucky charms, it also added a nice level of aesthetics the drink too Heard the iced latte latte, which my friend got was amazing! So that will be my next item to try! Will definitely come back for more of their espresso drinks as I really liked their roast! Great job on the tasty espresso drinks! Will definitely be back for more! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!

First time I tried Tommy was in Montreal, and I absolutely loved it. I am very Happy that a location has opened in downtown Oakville. This adorable shop has fresh coffees, sandwiches, Belgium chocolates, a variety of chocolate dips. A knowledgeable & friendly staff. Ice cream cone sizes from mini to large. A perfect place for families, dates, or with girlfriends for a casual day or night out.

I love Tommy and the Tommy brand. Catch me driving from Toronto to Old Montreal to sit in their perfectly situated café, posting on IG being the main character. But realistically the Oakville location is closer, so i found myself there recently. It’s brand new so the staff may not have fully perfected the menu. The classic Tommy vibe is lost in the chocolate. The staff 10/10 just darling, and I truly believe we’re smiling the entire time behind their masks. Was my latte watered down, yes. Would I recommend the lucky charm latte? Only if you had it to stay, taking it to go is just becomes soggy cereal in lukewarm coffee. Would I return? Yeah in a few months after they worked out the kinks.
