One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is fresh & high quality with amazing flavor combinations. The menu is unique & full of well crafted dishes & drinks. Great atmosphere & top notch service. Reservations are recommended. I can’t wait to go back! Pictured is the mediterranean pasta with veggies and grilled salmon, along with the seafood fettuccine Alfredo. Not pictured are the amazing salads that came with the entrées. Definitely the best house salad I have ever had! and the bread that comes with the meals is also incredibly tasty and fresh. This restaurant is will not disappoint!

Kim and Andy have an amazing restaurant with delicious homemade food that complements the atmosphere. Their Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It's always so difficult on deciding what awesome dish to choose from. Thank you again for an amazing experience and fabulous eats.🥰

Kim was very responsive when my wife left a message regarding a reservation for our 5th anniversary. When we arrived she gladly took a picture for us and seated us in a great, private booth in the rear of the restaurant. We enjoy bourbon and wine and were happy to see a great, reasonably priced selection of both. Our waitress was very attentive, pleasant, and helpful with food recommendations. We had the duck bacon and corn wontons for an appetizer and they were great. I had a filet which was cooked perfectly and my wife had the swedish meatballs, which she enjoyed with the lingonberry jam. We took a cinnamon churro cheesecake to go and that was also really good.

This tends to be our anniversary place, but it's been several years since we've been here (Covid) Tonight showed us what we've been missing! Our meal was amazing! Simon, our server knew his stuff,and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxed! We definitely recommend Rubaiyat for those who want a quality meal with locally sourced ingredients! ❤️

What a cool restaurant with great food. My father's was raving about the house Alfredo seafood dish. I got the soft pretzel party, and boy, was I impressed. The presentation and the offering was better than expected.

Our second visit to this restaurant was as impressive as the first. Savory and creative entrees paired with a nice wine list. The co-owner/front of house manager makes dining here a very personal experience. A real gem in downtown Decorah!

La Rana is a wonderful little upscale bistro just off of the main street in Decorah. We made reservations ahead of time for a Friday night visit. We were greeted at the door and had wonderful service all evening. The menu is filled with items that you will not find in most Iowa towns. The bar also has options to meet everyone's taste. Everything we ordered was very good and came in a timely manner. Definitely worth a visit when in Decorah.

Ever once in a while, you stumble upon one of those unassuming Main Street bistros that turn out to be serving up amazing food with a shocking bar selection. That’s exactly what happened with La Rana. My cousin and his wife said that it’s one of their favorites and after this chicken salad, I can see why. The ciabatta was pillowy soft and this Sriracha almond chicken salad was perfection. The salad was lightly dressed with an amazing balsamic vinaigrette, and I’m glad that I split the sandwich with someone because it would have been tough to get through both halves. My only regret is not going back there and having the chicken curry special with a glass of wine in the evening.

Some of the best food I've ever had. The quality of the food with all the different flavors was mouth watering. This is more of a high-end place with a small town feel. I could go on and on but nobody wants that and there just to many good things to say.

Amazingly good food in a friendly atmosphere. Clearly labeled gluten free options too. Lots of focus on using local growers and suppliers, in addition to beer and cider on tap. It's a good idea to call ahead though since it can be busy. Enjoy!

We tried to go the first night we got to town but they were booked for the night. Made reservations for lunch the next day and totally understood why it was booked. Super small, super cute and super delicious. I had the grilled cheese and sweet potato soup and I declared it the best grilled cheese of my life. So amazing.

All around strong pizza offering, the only thing holding back 5 stars was our’s came out lukewarm on a busy night. The star of the meal was the amazing warm cookie skillet.

Everyone says if you're in Decorah, you have to go to Mabe's and they were right! Our server was so great and the food was amazing!!

First time visiting Decorah and we chose Mabe's based on it's 72 year history. It was very busy, but our waiter hustled and took good care of us by keeping us informed about our order. Salad and pizza was great! We chose the 4 meat pizza and it was very tasty! Waiter had a contagious personality!

Went here for a party and the host ordered 5 kinds of pizza. We got perreroni, sausage, cheese, mushroom and veggie. They all tasted the same except the veggie was the only pizza with a different flavor. It tasted like an old salad. The crust is very thin, so thin that the grease of the pizza overwhelmed the flavor, which could be why they all tasted the same. The cheese tasted really fresh though, that was the only redeeming quality. We also got a salad which left a lot to be desired. The lettuce was iceberg (tasted like crisp water) and it had several toppings but could only taste the bacon. It reminded me of a school lunch salad. The house made French dressing was good though.

A friend who competed in several cross country meets held at nearby Luther College swore that the Mabe’s pizzas his team would feast on after races a decade ago were the best he’s ever eaten. I finally was able to make it to Decorah on July 4th to try Mabe’s pizza. The crust on this 8-inch personal pizza was light and superlative, the cheese was noticeably fresh, the toppings were complementary to the remarkable balance of the pizza, and the sauce had slightly sweet and well-spiced undertones. I’m from Chicago and spent a decade eating as much pizza as possible in Brooklyn, Queens, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. I’ve eaten pizza all over the country and world. The pizza at Mabe’s would be truly excellent anywhere, and I spent the drive home to Chicago trying to find a reason to return to Decorah with my wife so she can try the pizza.

WOW!!!! What can you say about Mabe's?? Great food!! Fantastic servers! Fabulous cooks, nice atmosphere... reasonable prices... it's ALL you need...our favorite is the sausage and green olives!! And don't forget the onion rings!!!! Out of this world crispy and delicious!!

Mabe’s Pizza is an iconic spot in Decorah, Iowa that I grew up with. The décor and interior haven’t changed since my childhood, which makes every visit feel like stepping back in time. Their classic pizza—cut into signature squares—is an acquired taste, but once you’ve had it, you’ll find yourself craving it again and again. It’s a true hometown favorite and a must-try for anyone visiting Decorah.

The server we had was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. He was very polite and respectful. He used very good manners. He said “Sir” etc. Nothing was dirty except our plates when we finished the food. Just a suggestion would be to add a little padding to the seats. The service was fast and we got seated in the first minute of entering. The water did taste a little different but they can’t control that. When he forgot something and we politely told him he wasn’t mad about it. He smiled and said “Of course!”. He checked in on us all the time and made me feel good. When we got our drinks he gave us a coaster. The bathroom was very clean. The food came and I was a little disappointed. I ordered the chicken strips and they did not taste as good as i thought. I do not live here so if you’re coming here for something this is a good place. Final: it was fine

We were in town camping and did a little kayaking on the river. Worked up an appetite after and thought we’d stop in for a drink and a late lunch. The atmosphere was very inviting and the service was fabulous. Everybody super friendly. We started out with a bloody Mary and some appetizers, fried pickles and Southwest egg rolls. Both were quite tasty. I ordered the quesadilla, which was good but a little chunkier than I prefer but still tasty. Hubby ordered a patty melt and added mushrooms and just loved it. The rest of the group did chicken wings Each had a different sauce and thought they were all good. We would recommend stopping here and will definitely do so again next time we come hang in town! We will definitely stop back next time. We’re in town and would highly recommend doing so if you are in the area.

Great atmosphere, great beer list, good service. The food was ok. The "famous" wings priced at 12 for $24 were dry, very small, and not worth the price. The southwest wrap was good, the Sweet potato fries were undercooked. Definitely stop for drinks.

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the 🥗 Greek salad with 🐟 salmon. The salad itself was fresh and flavorful—crisp veggies, tasty dressing, and a generous portion. The only downside was the salmon, which tasted a bit processed and didn’t quite match the quality of the rest of the dish. 😊 Service was fantastic—friendly and attentive staff made the experience pleasant. ⏳ The food did take a little while to come out, but the laid-back atmosphere made the wait easier to handle. 👍 Overall, a solid lunch spot in Decorah. I’d come back to explore more of the menu—just might skip the salmon next time!

A bit pricey for what you get. Alot of bun and a little burger. Burger in the picture $12.00 and cheese curds $12.50. Food tasted good.

Right off the bat, we had felt unwelcomed. The waitress was all smiles and friendly to all the older people, but not so much to us. Definitely felt like we didn't belong. The food was ok at best. I got a patty melt, the menu says Cooked Medium Well. Mine was very well done, little flavor and even less moisture. The fries were decent. I was really surprised at how fast the cheese curds came out, but it came out so fast because they were under cooked. The small curds were done, but half of them were thick and still almost frozen in the middle. The best part of our meal was the 1919 root beer on tap, which we never were asked if we wanted a refill. No desire to return to a place that was so unwelcoming.

We stopped in for apps and drinks and very much enjoyed our visit. Quick and attentive service. We got spicy pickles fries (which weren't actually spicy), cheese curds and the hanging pretzel with beer cheese. They were all delicious! They had a nice selection of draft beers and a good bloody mary too. Would definitely go back when we're in the area again.

Excellent food, fast friendly service with indoor and outdoor dining. We stayed in Decorah one night on our way to South Dakota and had dinner at Don Jose Family Mexican restaurant. If passing through the area, I highly recommend it.

SO GOOD! Margaritas are made to order and made with fresh juices. Menu is expansive and affordable. Food is authentic, fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Service is friendly, timely, and helpful. Best place to eat in Decorah, highly recommend!

Service was good, margarita was good, price was decent. My meal had slices of American cheese on it. Pretty much ruined the meal. So disappointed.

We loved the dinner we had here this weekend. The food and margaritas here are way better then most Mexican restaurants. The salsa was tasty and had just the right amount of spice. Our meals were flavorful and good size portions.

The service was excellent. And the food was good. But absolutely nothing stood out as being excellent. Just another average Mexican restaurant. The guacamole was very bland and so was the enchilada sauce.

They were very busy but only waited like 10 minutes out of 15. Very Good and quite friendly waiter! One had fajitas-steak, one Shredded beef tamales combo, one chimichanga. We were pleasantly stuffed!!

It’s really disappointing to see how far this restaurant has fallen. We visited about 4 years ago and the food was excellent back then. This time, however, the chicken fajita was a complete letdown — mostly bad cuts of chewy chicken with cartilage, barely a couple tablespoons of tiny strips floating in grease and vegetables. I understand places try to cut budgets, but not to this extreme. Sadly, we won’t be coming back, although service is excellent-the restaurants are about food experience.

We drove here to check out this BBQ hot spot due to the online reviews! Brisket is always a must, so let's go! A platter of brisket, green beans and "seasonal vegetables" arrived in under 5 min, so kudos to the kitchen. As for the food, the brisket was meh. It was juicy, but not savory...falling short for any WOW factor. The corn muffin was cold and sticky, as if it was either frozen and quick-thawed or not quite cooked all of the way. The green beans were absolutely delicious, but the seasonal vegetables consisted of frozen carrots and (what tasted like) left-over broccoli reheated. Will not stop again.

Nothing special. We had the pulled pork sandwich and a side of sweet potato tots. A lot of food, but not particularly flavorful and the tots were pretty charred. We loaded up on the Carolina mustard sauce which helped, but again the service was lack luster and the food was nothing to write home about sadly.

If you like bbq you’ll like this place. We had a platter with two sides, each, which was way too much food. Next time we’ll order one and share. Only serve soft drinks but you can take your food and enjoy a good beer across the street at Pulpit Rock brewery.

We stopped in here for a quick bite and boy were we happy we did. Food amazing, how quick our food was ready amazing, staff amazing. We had brisket and it was so tender and juicy. The ribs pulled off the bone clean. The Mac and Cheese was amazing! Daughter's street Tacos were amazing. On thing the I need to mention is their homemade potatoes salad. This gets 12 stars!!!! I loved it, so creamy and delicious with hits of dill. Grandkids had a hamburger. Oh, I almost forgot the corn muffins. Definitely. Ade from scratch and I detected they must us creamed corn in the recipe. Super moist and delicious. If in Decorah, Iowa, and looking for an excellent meal with hearty proportions look no farther than Old Armory BBQ.

Outstanding bbq. Brisket and pulled pork are fantastic. The green beans are awesome. This place has become a regular stop when in the area.

This place is a hidden gem and an unexpected find in Iowa, TRUE barbecue with heavy smoke flavor. Portions are huge. Is it fancy? No. Is the service going to meet your every need? No. But these guys know what they’re doing when it comes to barbecue.

We stopped by this place to try it out before we headed back to TX. The reviews convinced me it was going to be delicious but the ribs needed a bit more flavor. I liked that they came off the bone easily though. I don't think we'll stop to eat there again on our next trip.

Absolutely an amazing brewery, definitely one of the best in the world. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Service itself was fast and attentive. Their onsite beer list was epic and they had plenty of good Togo options. The food was quite good and their prices were spot on especially considering how delicious everything tasted.

This place is huge, great atmosphere. Was a little disappointed they didn’t have a regular Porter or so, they had three or four, but they were all imperials or barrel aged. Merchandise? They had a whole store over on the side. Typical breweries don’t have full restaurants but, this place did food was fantastic.

This was definitely the highlight of our trip. We came for lunch on Friday and stayed several hours but also returned for lunch on Saturday so we could sample the rest of the beers we wanted to try. The food was good, the service was amazing and there was so much crazy good beer. We were lucky enough to be there when Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout was on draft and it was definitely my favorite. I also really enjoyed Mornin’ Delight (2025), Koselig BA (2025), and Term Oil S’mores. I was a little surprised that the stouts were even better than the IPA’s. But the IPA’s were great too. We really enjoyed King Sue, Imperial Golden Nugget and Kettle Clogger (and many more). We will definitely try to come back another time. I highly recommend a trip to this brewery.

Large building, open floor plan, a little understaffed for as busy as it was, but the beer was good and I even found a glass of wine at a brewery :) We took a tour of the brewery (tours are only offered on Saturdays) and I’m glad we paid ahead of time because we drove over three hours to Toppling Goliath and it was a full tour with about 19 people. Tour was $10 a person and we got a glass at the end of the tour and a beverage to sip on during the tour. The tour lasted about an hour. They feature a burger of the month and also had wraps, pizza and fry food. We didn’t eat, we just sat at one of the high top tables and people watched. Lots of foot traffic, almost all of the tables were full but there was also a big Iowa football game on (lots of TVs to watch the game on) Took over 10 minutes for someone to initially greet us and take our beer order at the “express” area where you just line up to grab drinks. Fun afternoon outing, would probably be even better if we go again and sit outside at the fire pit tables on the patio. The patio wasn’t open the day we went.

Look I get it ok, but honestly wasn't overly impressed. Glorified Brewery for us. Beers were good, have had better🤷‍♀️ While the food was good, unfortunately our service sucked. She kept walking by us despite empty plates and glasses. We all have off days!! Merchandise area cool w a lot of stuff. If ever in area again, I'm sure we would give it a go again. Just a bit to glorified for type of breweries we normally like.

Our family from out of state was staying down the road and was lucky to find this spot. We ate breakfast here almost every day. Each time the food was good and well-portioned & the service was friendly. Definitely recommend the strawberry rhubarb, banana cream, and peach pies!

Nice place to eat, they serve breakfast all day, our waitress Zoey was extremely nice, helpful,and made sure we had everything we needed!!! The food was great!! Fast service,the food was really good and really great prices for what you get.. The cook Luke and another young gentleman were really busy we got our meals fast. Excellent spot for vegans in a small town! The plant stack is great, and it’s nice to have even a burger and vegan chicken strips as an option. It’s usually hit or miss if the hash browns come out burnt, but overall this place is a gem.

I had the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef was not sliced paper thin like most restaurants. It was thicker and meatier. The gravy was delicious and the potatoes were very good. A sandwich like my mother might have made. She never had a knife sharp enough to slice a roast paper thin and it didn't matter. I have had breakfast here several times and I have never been disappointed. I'll be back.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Family table. This place attracts people from all walks of life. College students, college professors, blue collar, white collar; everyone comes to the family table for a no fuss experience. The service was wonderful. My coffee cup was never empty for more than a minute. It seems like many regulars come here as they were greeted by name. We were just passing through and felt like we were treated like family. The food was hot and delicious. Your typical diner fare. Prices were super affordable so my wife and I also ordered a Belgian waffle to split. You can definitively feed your entire family here without breaking the bank. Highly recommend the family table for all looking for a good meal!

The waitress never came back to check to see if all was ok. I waved several times & she & others didn't see me. It wasn't until I called out loud that she came over. Then when I told her what the matter was she tried to argue with me. If someone wants well-done, dry scrambled eggs - there should be NO WET SLIMEY RAW EGG on the plate. AND the waitress should not argue about it. I gave 3 stars because the bacon was perfect & the hashbrowns were good. And because the other 2 in the group were pleased with their meal.

Our breakfast was decent but nothing to write home about. Definitely not worth $43 for two people.

My daughter enjoyed her cheeseburger very much. The ribs we so-so. No rub or smokey flavor, just BBQ sauce. Service was not great. We were the only people in the place on a Saturday night. That should have told us something. The prices are very reasonable. I don't think we will return. Sorry Ede.

Very good food! I had the daily burger special, which was a Pico and Jack burger. It had tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, lettuce and Jack cheese. The cucumber salad wasn't my favorite but it was still pretty tasty. Their other side option is kettle chips, which are delicious and crispy.

Ede's has some delicious menu options at a reasonable price. A particularly yummy item is their fish chowder, but it's so popular that there's s chance they will run out. One thing that causes me to mediate visiting Ede's is the fact that there service is usually pretty slow. Given any sorry of a crowd, you will be waiting for initial and follow-up service. So be sure you aren't in a hurry and you can enjoy some good food.

This restaurant is clean and has nice staff. The food was a little slow to arrive, but the staff was wary of dietary concerns of my party, which was great to see. Unfortunately, they left the tomatoes and lettuce off of my sandwich (maybe I was supposed to specify that I wanted them in my sandwich, but I didn't realize that), but I was so hungry I gobbled the food up anyway. Besides that, the food was scrumptious!

Had the Philly steak and the fish soup. Also the special burger- had Siracha on it and was spicy wonderfulness. The burger meat is so flavorful and juicy and the bun was soft and delicious. We had the tres leches and it was wonderful too!

The hours open are very hit and miss, as well as not being consistent with what is posted on Google. There have been time I go to eat and they are closed. There are a lot of restrictions on the menu as to what can be substituted/changed. And when ordering something that was able to be substituted in I was told that it was not possible. (Which is was according to their menu). The place isnt very child friendly- they dont have a lot of options for kids. Which goes back to my substitution problem- trying to find something for the child I was watching to eat. The waitress I had was young and seemed a bit frazzled. Which happens- at the time I was in they were very busy! Overall she was very friendly. The place is cozy & unique. Definitely a gem & asset to downtown Decorah. The food, itself is very good & you do get quality for the price.

My first visit to Dechora and the Angry Pickle owned by Ede. Have to admit it was the name that drew us in and thankfully it did for the experience was delightful. I had the Muffaletta and my friend had the Philly Stake. Both very tasty, though I think the focaccia bread was a little thick compared to the sandwich stuffing, which in my case was ham, pepperoni, an salami. The meat was of good quality and the olive salad spread was flavorful. I had a taste or two of my friends sandwich (Philly Steak) and it was good on a toasted bun. I opted for the cucumber salad which I found tasty. Maybe a little sweet for my taste but very good. Anyway with so many options to luncheon in Dechora I don't know if I will be back but I would like to try it again.

Ok. Hear me out. The bathroom is a whole vibe! “Immaculate Vibe” “great for a bathroom selfie”- per my 11 year old Mood music, a bidet (once you figure out ;), nice air freshener. 10 out of 10 see picture! The sushi was beautiful and tasty. Good beef dish

First time here, clean , friendly atmosphere. Greeted right away. Food was delicious, jasmine tea was awesome, and definitely will be back.

The food was amazing! The staff was so kind and caring! We ordered the lunch special and my 2 year old daughter was eating with me, she was loving the soup, the staff had noticed and came back with an extra bowl of soup just for her. Will definitely be going back!

The food was pretty good, definitely comparable to what you'd get at a nice restaurant of the same style. The sushi was definitely in the better end of the spectrum. Service was very polite, helpful, and swiftly accommodated every request. It's easy to tell they are experienced. My order was as follows; monkey brains, Heart attack,beef & broccoli, shrimp lo mein, and the Oh My God Roll.

We came to Sugar Bowl for the first time today for my birthday. It was extremely delicious and really made my birthday even more special! 10/10 would recommend and we WILL be coming back!

The flight option was so fun! Love the chocolate flavors. Also so much classic artifacts decorated the space which made it feel special.

A fun place down town to get ice cream. We got the banana split. We were able to try samples to see what flavors we would like. Worker were great and let us take our time making the decision.

The lady behind the counter was very sweet and patient,even with all the customers she had and the only one working. The ice cream was good, they have alot of flavors just wish they had some non dairy flavors too as I'm lactose intolerant but I had a scoop anyway. The prices r high. Honestly I could buy a whole big tub of ice cream for what I spent on 2 single scoops in dish 1 having 2 toppings. So a bit pricey for my taste but it was a nice treat on a hot day out and about with my grandson and he enjoyed it.

Ice cream hit the spot after a day of biking and hiking the hills of Decorah. The dining area upstairs is great. I also loved the decor of the place. Service was smooth and quick on a slightly busy day.

It certainly pays to go off the beaten path… My parents recently went to a family reunion in Decorah and told me about this meal they had at Twin Springs Supper Club. My mom said that it was totally my vibe and boy was she right. After winding down some gravel roads outside of Decorah we came across this restaurant that looks more like a cabin. It’s cozy with limited tables inside and a beautiful patio space with Christmas lights, gorgeous views of the woods surrounding the property, and heaters for when it gets chilly. They had a great cocktail list with seasonal offerings and a food menu that made it difficult to choose what to order. Everything sounded good and we finally decided that we had to go with the surf and turf because I love shrimp, but heard how amazing the steaks are. We had these amazing little eggrolls with a sweet chili sauce and I loved the French onion soup. It’s no wonder this restaurant ranked number one in five different categories this year by OpenTable for Iowa. If I could give you a couple of recommendations based off of my experience, it would be to make sure you have a reservation because it fills up and if you enjoy red meat, you have to get a steak. This 4 ounce fillet had me wishing that I had opted for the ribeye instead just because I wanted more.

What a gem in the middle of nowhere. The food at The Twin Springs Supper Club was absolutely fantastic- our dishes burst with flavor and creativity. The owner/chef’s travel influences and family shine through in the unique crafted menu. The service was top notch, attentive and warm, making the experience even better. It’s hard to believe you can find this level of culinary excellence in such a rural area. Highly recommended!

Great dining experience! Four of us from Colorado decided to make this restaurant the final stop in our visit to Iowa, and it was very much worth it. Our server was very personable, we were sat easily, and our food was timely. Everything from the bread to the main course was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The owner came by and visited with us which was delightful. The lights in the restaurant added a charming ambience.

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner! Food was delicious and prices were very reasonable for the quality! Service was excellent. We will definitely stop back next time we are in the area!

We had a great time at Twin Springs. Had a chance to visit with the owner during our visit. He is a very personable guy who clearly knows how to make people feel at home. Pork chop and twice baked potato were excellent. Also enjoyed the crème brûlée for dessert.

Recommended by a co worker, we celebrated our 12th anniversary. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our first experience did not disappoint. From the atmosphere, drinks and food, everything was fantastic. They even served a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary. The owner made his way around to each table to ensure everything was perfect and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be going back.

We grabbed dinner here last night after biking the 11 mile loop. The chef chatted with us and recommended the waygu ribeye to my husband and he loved it. I had the 6oz filet and it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely recommend this place to others!

This is a hard review because the food was phenomenal, but we were greeted by this sign when we first arrived and the service was 10% tipworthy at best. Edit: Good Times Grill isn't trying to offend with the sign, but trying to humour. I just may be a killjoy today 🙃

It's always a good and happy time here! My family who lives in area enjoys lunch and dinner there often. Anytime I'm in town It's a must visit. Be sure to follow them when they move! (Not sure when)

We were in town to catch our son's soccer game and we happened upon Good times grill. The building was very unassuming from the outside, but the restaurant was nice once we got in. The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. We ordered a drink to start. A bloody Mary for my wife and a beer for me. My wife said it was one of the best she's had (they told us it is a family recipe). They had a good beer selection too. The food was amazing! I had the Norse turkey sandwich, and it was amazing! I can't remember when I've had a better sandwich! My wife had a burger and said it was really great! We had a great experience and will definitely go back next time we're in town!

OMG, let me say how awesome all of the food was. The fries & tots were a little over cooked but everything else was perfect. The roast beef was the best. The taco salad was huge! Everything was yummy & 5 stars on the service! Very friendly & attentive!! Highly recommend!!

First time here to this gem. Great food, very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere. I had a tough time deciding between dishes, so many good selections. I had the JT Chicken Wrap, right amount of spice, tender meat overall very satisfied with this dish. Food was served quick and hot. Our waitress visited us appropriately, checking in. I'll definitely be back.

Had such a delicious burger and sweet potato fries! Great selection of beers to try and we had a really nice server. Sure wish I could recall her name! Will be returning!

Awesome bar and grill. The staff work really well together. Not pushy but when you needed something . They or any of the staff were there and took care of it for you. The portions were just right for what you paid. Plenty of tvs to watch the game or multiple games. Nice was with plenty of seating and people . It was quiet enough to hold a conversation without yelling to the table to be heard. Loved the food. Will definitely be back again.

Super slow kitchen with a main dish of salt. 😛 We tried this place based on reviews. We ordered fried pickles, Rachel Reuben and the Ragin Riley burger. We waited 45 minutes to get our food and the place was not even that busy. The pickles were horribly salty and I love salty food. ... We wouldn't have eaten them but we were starving. So, we ate several of them. The burger was the only good item. The Rachel Reuben was also so horribly salty that it was inedible. However, since we'd waited forever and still starving from waiting so long (and ....know to never send back food...) I forced my way through a few bites of the sandwich with tons of water. When we shared our concerns with staff we were given a total of a $1.50 discount off our bill. Would NOT recommend this place. We'll not be back. It was very disappointing. Definately not a good time.

Nice restaurant, friendly waitress. We ordered a grilled chicken salad. What was served was pretty much a 'hot' buffalo chicken salad. We asked the waitress if we received the correct salad and she said yes. Menu should be redone or customers advised of what they are getting - unless we missed that.

I already had issues with Pizza Ranch. I went with my mom and we found ants on the table and all the lettuce was browning and wilted. Now I find out an employee was shaming and belittling a special needs employee? Literally no reason to go back. If you want good pizza, go to Mabes. They treat the employees a million times better and they have fresher food. Do better Pizza Ranch.

Absolutely would give negative stars if I could — this place doesn’t even deserve zero. We rolled into Decorah Pizza Ranch around 3 PM, stomachs growling and ready to eat, only to be greeted by the rudest host I’ve ever encountered. Not a single other customer in sight, yet we were told it would be “at least a 30-minute wait” — seriously? The guy basically shrugged us off and said, “I’d just come back at five if I were you,” like he couldn’t be bothered to do his job. No explanation, no courtesy, no effort — just pure indifference. His attitude made it crystal clear that our gluten-free request would have been treated with the same level of apathy, if not worse. So we bailed and hit Culver’s instead, where the staff was kind, helpful, and actually acted like they wanted our business. The food there? Fantastic. Moral of the story: skip the Pizza Ranch drama and take your appetite somewhere that respects both your time and your dietary needs. Decorah Pizza Ranch? Hard pass.

My wife and I drive 30 mile from Fayette for Veterans Day meal and they meet us at the register and say "We're Done"! This was a huge letdown! Insult and false advertising when I as a Veteran was invited by email! Turned me off from your restaurant!

We were going to take our kids to Pizza Ranch as a treat since they go back to school Monday. We checked the hours online like normal people do before they tell their children they are taking them somewhere and getting them excited. On Google it said they close at 8. We pull up at 6:30 & there is a sign on the door that they are closing at 6 because it is "too nice out". We drove 45 minutes to go there..... Needless to say we will not be back to this Pizza Ranch location. On another note we went to the Decorah Pizza Hut instead - because it was too late for us to drive to a different Pizza Ranch location - & our food and service was spectacular.

Found a bunch of hair in the food my wife was eating, so she told a worker, she said (well keep an eye on it) really! The remaining pizza should been thrown away but it was still out on the beffet. I'd like a refund but didn't bother to ask, we won't be returning!!!!

The food is okay, some of their pizzas tend to get on the weird side (bacon cheeseburger with fries?) And they never seem to have enough chicken, especially BBQ chicken.

Took about 15-20 minutes for someone to take our prder. They were not super busy. The food was decent. We got appetizers and pizza at the same time. Our waitress checked on us one time. Our waitress acted like we were a burden to her, and she wanted to be anywhere but there.

Ordered delivery for two mozzarella and a stuffed crust bbq beef with pepperoni. The delivery guy was super nice. The pizza was great as well, though I don’t think I will be getting the stuffed crust again. That was, somehow, too much cheese for me, though that’s definitely a me thing. The mozzarella sticks could have been breaded more. I like that CRUNCH!

I moved here five months ago. First time I ordered my pizza was overcooked. Tried again. Same thing. This time I waited a few months. The food I got yesterday looked and tasted like it was cooked an hour before I picked it up and just sat there. I will never order food from this place again.

We were there last night because the Pizza Ranch in town closed early. The food was good and our waiter was top notch. Best customer service we have had in a long time.

We visited this Pizza Hut on vacation because all the locations in our area are carry out / delivery only. We loved our pan pizza! Staff was friendly and the food came right on time. Zero complaints so five stars.

I went there yesterday at 2:30 in the afternoon. The buffet looked old and dried out. As I was eating it I started looking around. They have huge mirrors in the dining area that were filthy. The place looks dirty to me. I began to wonder how clean the kitchen is. After I paid I noticed the exit area looked unkept even the big fish tank looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time. Even outside around the side walk it was littered. Not going back 👎👎

All very well , the food very rich but the service leaves a lot to be desired, it is the third time that we go and practically took 20 minutes and they gave us the bill, I do not know if it is because they do not want Latinos or something like that, besides my food had hair that was disgusting 🤢🤢

This was a big mistake, I will say we did go about an hour and half before closing, the buffet was almost empty and the food they did have was not that great, the dun som had horrible flavor, to the point my husband and I both spit it out, the crap rangoons were hard and no flavor. We spent $50 for three of us to eat and basically got ice cream and green beans

Look up the definition of a dive bar and you will see a picture of The Hay Market. I go here for the chorizo burritos and the adult beverages. Today I had a hot chocolate with a shot of peppermint schnapps. Our waitress was exceptional as they have always been.

Great little spot. As a night shift worker, I come here after work to enjoy breakfast with a stiff drink. Super friendly service, the waitress checks in you frequently and she is sure to get a smile out of you. I've had the Hangover, the Lincoln, and the breakfast burrito there. None of them disappoint.

Great place for a good cold drink and a great chat with Becca behind the bar. Food service will be back about mid July, after an interior rehab is finished. Great dive bar. Would love to have this bar closer to home!!

Terrible service. Had to yell to get the bartender for a beer rest the time he was on his cell phone. He could be cleaning the place cuz it stinks. Others have said that he's rude so I guess he's just a miserable person J. I'd give them a negative 5 Stars never going in there again👎

Great dive bar atmosphere! Great employees that are very attentive and work well together. We showed up for the first time in Nordic Fest Sunday. We were warned by Davia, the bartender, that it would be at least 45 minutes. It took a bit longer but we were warned! Excellent Bloody Mary's. We sat at the bar because the whole place was packed. We ended up taking our breakfast to go because of time constraints. We shared the chorizo burrito and Philly omelet. It was delicious. I do need to learn to ask places if they grill their burritos at all. I like the texture of a browned tortilla so I'll all fire that if I go back. The Philly omelet was out favorite 😍 I will say the American fries are actually cottage fries but they were cooked perfectly for me. They happily packed out for to go and made sure forks, napkins and extra sauces were in the bag. Great stop that was recommended by a friend. We will be back on a day we don't have prior agreements.

Lovely folks. Becca with the dreads is nice. Don't worry about the service here. This is a wonderful bar. Prices are reasonable, the staff is nothing but attentive, and the selection is wider than your typical hole-in-the-wall. It's great! Go here.

I am all OBSESSED with places like this… Restaurants/venues that are doing something so special that it doesn’t matter if they are off of the beaten path because they are destinations worth pursuing. Luna Valley Farms found on some gravel roads outside of Decorah is home to some beautiful farm ground, animals grazing, indoor and outdoor space that can accommodate large groups, EXCEPTIONAL pizza, local beer and wine, and even a general store if you want to buy some of the quality ingredients they use or the beef they have raised on site. You know it’s a good restaurant when they can list to you where every ingredient in their food comes from. It’s no wonder they’ve been featured in national publications like the New York Times. The owner and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. There’s no way you won’t fall in love with what they are doing. Their drive to offer sustainable food in a breathtaking venue is as admirable as it is mouthwatering.

A wonderful outdoor dining experience. The wood-fired pizza was outstanding. Reservations/or ordering ahead is required. There is a large shelter with picnic tables to sit and eat, or bring a blanket and lawn chairs. Bring your own plates and napkins, and carry away your own trash.

The pizza was yummy, views were amazing, and the sour lemon soda was super tasty. Very special and worth it! Make sure to reserve a spot before coming though!

We reserved half of a large table for 17 people. We had a wheelchair bound child in our group. Maren was so accomodating. She added a shorter table for our granddaughter. Great pizza. Amazing flavors. Tried 3 types. Good beer. Service staff was kind and friendly. Parking was good for the farm. Zero cell phone service (Verizon) and no WIFI. So a little scary for date night without kids. Good covered structure for dancing with the band playing. Wish they had a dumpster/trash can available. Carry out trash was a pain, but understandable.

Came to Decorah for the views and the pizza - Luna Valley delivered on both. With it being nestled in the heart of Driftless territory, this pizza farm showed off beautiful scenery, kind people, and amazing pizza (local ingredients!) Walking the farm was a treat, and the picnic-style dining - whether in the grass overlooking the countryside or under the pavilion - made the experience even better. A must-visit if you're in the area and can grab a reservation!

The Norwegian tacos were fantastic! Great place to eat lunch, meet with friends, or work online. Lots of seating options and friendly atmosphere!

Absolutely loved this spot! Tried the bourbon BBQ chicken sliders from Justin’s and a side salad—both were absolutely delicious. The vibes are great, with a fun, open industrial feel and lots of space to hang out. Perfect for groups or a chill spot for yourself, and there are a few other cute spots in the same building too, like the Gnome Froyo place. Highly recommend checking it out!

the place is so cute, definitely didn’t expect it in a town like decorah! there was plenty to choose from, everything was clean, plenty of seating, inside and out, the bathrooms where clean too!! the food was okay, pretty good, i would definitely buy again, however i felt the tenders where pretty basic, but the fries where absolutely to die for

The staff and atmosphere at The Landing Market are top notch. The only thing better is the food selection and taste. Huge shout out to the manger Terry, who was so attentive to our event, making sure every detail was perfect.

We visited in August 2023. Cute building with a good amount of seating. We ate at Justin’s for lunch and it was pretty good. There was a juicery and a coffee shop also open when we visited. Limited parking out front. Sits right next to Pulpit Rock Brewery.

This was a fun little cluster of shops/food to stop at. They had a couple different options for food. It was pretty empty when we were there which was good because we had our 2 yr old with us. Food was a little on the expensive side for the atmosphere but it was delicious.

The best breakfast spot in town. The coffee was great!!! The lefsa breakfast sandwich was out of this world and the atmosphere was my favorite in Decorah. We loved it so much we eat there twice. Great spot for all ages.

1 overworked poor guy running the place alone. He did a good job with as good as attitude as possible but simply unacceptable. Not fair or safe to have one guy here. And loads of customers. The 2nd star is because of the guy working, otherwise it would be one.

This subway is the BEST. Fine customer service and the best staff I've seen in subway for a long time... forget the waukon subway.. the decorah subway over the bridge in decorah has no problems.. even some people complain about how subway is messy and drips on ya well the one in decorah over the bridge gets everything even for your time spent🥰🥰🥰

I work there and they just started a new sandwich there I will have to try out. It is called the Italian Hero. The atmosphere is clean, friendly, and the food service is great.

This store usually runs out out if things....go to the other store...have never had them run out...about 75 percent of the time they are out of things...wheat bread at 5:30...

They lack in diversity, which hinders customer service. It's convenient if you are passing through.

I ordered the Biergarten Burger and wow... it was amazing 🤤. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. It came with crispy shoe-string style fries 🍟 that were the perfect sidekick. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laid-back dinner spot with great food, drinks, and vibes. Will definitely be back!

Really cozy and nice interior. But were they really shine is with their staff and their food. Logan was exceptionally nice and we want to thank the kitchen staff, even though they were technically closed. They still made us food and it was delicious. We just came off a long trip and That hit the spot. Thank you so much. Anyone visiting Decorah we highly recommend coming here!!

Went in on a Tuesday night and they happened to randomly serving food so hubs and I were able to enjoy some delicious burgers. Loved the beer selection. Kinda wish we would have gone back a different time to try even more. Will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Decorah

I love that the options are always rotating so I can try something new with each visit! Your kitchen addition has been incredible - it’s clear only the best ingredients are used and that the staff passionately cares about the delicious appetizers and meals being created! This is elevated “bar food” that doesn’t disappoint, I have loved everything I’ve ordered and you won’t find anything else that compares in Decorah! I also appreciate that you’ve kept the taproom environment with the added bonus of food. The self-service works wonderfully, no waiting, just order at the bar when you’re ready - it’s genius! All of your staff is always happy and friendly, making it a place that’s enjoyable to visit. If the parking lot is full, find a spot on the road, I promise it’s worth it!! Been coming to decorah for 15 years to chase trout. In all my trips coming here the only thing I disliked about the area is the restaurants. Came to Dixie’s to have a few beers and ordered the smash burger with truffle fries. I’m a bit of a food snob and not easy to please, but when I say this was the best smash burger I’ve ever had I mean it. I’m very well travelled and have lots of restaurants across the US to compare to. You’re missing out if you don’t eat here, plain and simple.

When we first arrived at the Decorah Iowa Subway, no one was by the counter. A young girl comes out from the back, never greets us and asks what we want. I ordered my sandwich. My husband went to order his hot honey chicken and the worker said they didn’t have that. So then my husband ordered the BBQ chicken and ahe looked at him like he was stupid and said ‘what?’ So he repeated himself. She said said ‘where do you see that’? He said on the menu board and then was told they didn’t have that either. That was at 5:00 pm and the store was going to be open 4 more hours. Did they even check with the managers to see if there were supplies somewhere? I paid for my sandwich and left to eat somewhere else. Also, they could have been cleaning instead of hanging out in the back as the glass around the vegetables could use a clean rag.

Came in today at around noon, so I expected there to be a lunch rush. But with a line to the door of customers in store plus continuous online orders the wait time was ridiculous. Another thing I was NOT enthused about; there were 3 workers. 2 making subs, 1 trying to ring up and keep online orders together. You could tell the 1 trying to keep orders together was stressed out/unhappy. And reason being is because her coworkers WOULD NOT communicate with her. After countless times asking what subs were with the online orders/ what subs were the customers in line, the 2 making the subs were rude with their responses to her. Needless to say as a ex subway employee I wasn’t happy with how I witnessed them treat her. Also there was no greeting people in the lines just straight “what do you want” etc. I’ll stick to Waukon or Monona from now on as I ALWAYS have a great experience with them.

I gave this place a one star because the workers were not wearing gloves, they looked disgusting like no offense but they were really dirty. Then the bread was super stale and the toppings tasted slimy. I do not recommend going here

Rude worker behind counter complaining about making so many sandwiches for dinner rush after having no customers for 3 hours. Sandwich allocation of condiments was poor. I opted to not order/try foot long nachos because I expected they wouldn't be properly made.

My husband went to pick up some sandwiches and the lady behind the counter trying to make our sandwiches was throwing a temper tantrum saying she was gonna leave she kept running to the back then coming back out for no reason she seemed to be under the influence of something we are honestly scared to eat our sandwiches we will definitely not be eating here again

Harvey the manager is rude and racist and refused to make an order for a black person. The yelled and screamed and kicked him out and hung up on me when I asked to cancel the order. I thought racism was dead but it is alive and well in Harvey and this subway location.

Stopped in to grab lunch, it was not nearly as busy as most Subways I go to. There were 4 of us inside ordering. At first glance the restaurants tables were all dirty and not wiped down. The chip, cookie, and bottled drink cooler were all near empty and workers were not overly friendly (no smiles, no hello just straight faces and a what are you having). As I ordered, a male came back in from being outside which the women inside were clearly not happy about. When he came back in he did not wash his hands just put gloves on and went about adding condiments to our sandwiches. After I checked out I took my cup to the soda machine where I started with Dr Pepper, that was out. I then went to the cherry coke, also out. I then told the gal at the counter who did go back and switch them out. Come on subway!!! Do better!!

Blazing Star offers fresh, delicious, local menu items. If you need, or just desire, gluten free and/or vegan options, this is the place for you. It's in the higher price point, but you won't be disappointed, as the bowls are both filling and delicious. They also have a delicious selection of salads.

Completely and utterly satisfied. Delicious rice bowls, fresh ingredients, a fantastic blend of flavors and textures. Love the space. Friendly staff. Delicious desserts. No faults. Only praise. Will again and you should too.

It has been a couple of days since I was able to visit but I'm still dreaming about the spring rolls and the mushroom soup that I had. The lavender oat milk cold brew was perfect to sip on while sitting outside. I couldn't have been happier!

I don't know why I did not know of the existence of this place! I've been visiting my hometown several times a year for a decade. Anywho..... DELICIOUS!!! I had a dill beet bowl....so amazing. All the bowls on the current menus sound so good. Can't wait to go back

Super super healthy, can definitely soak up the local veggies and FEEL the nutrients in this whole-food based vegan / vegetarian restaurant! They have a great happy hour special (in February it’s a bowl and 2 beers for $20). They opened about a year ago and i think they have a LOT of potential for sprucing up the decor! Some local art, some textiles or funky vintage finds would go a long way to improve ambiance!

The small kale salad was tasty; but over-priced ($9) for the portion served. Wait time for such a simple menu choice seemed prolonged.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here recently! The bowl had a great mix of flavors that all complimented each other and the egg was the cherry on top! The cookie had just the right amount of sweetness, and was sad when I finished it. Looking forward to another visit here!

You absolutely do not want to miss out on this! It's a family operation and they are all such great people, plus the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I have pretty much given up on eating Mexican food in the off season due to Lesly!
