Most of the food was good. However, the presentation and service were very poor. They didn't change the plates or remove the forks at all; by the end, I had about 8 forks and spoons piled up on the table. Four different waiters served the table, and in the end, they insisted on a 20% tip, which would have amounted to €24 of the bill. So, you end up feeling awkward choosing a 0% tip, even though it's not mandatory. I can say that crab dish and bread were especially good, but overall nothing exceptional.

I went to this restaurant after a long day, without a reservation. They offered me a seat at the bar and recommended a couple of dishes. The menu was small, with interesting fusion style options. It’s a small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food came quickly and was excellent. The flavors worked really well together and I really enjoyed both dishes. Definitely a place I would recommend. Great food, friendly service and reasonably priced.

I had a beautiful lunch experience at Nolan. Everyone is smiley and with a nice and well educated manners also willing to explain something about the restaurant. I enjoyed the good vibes, young chill and cool which are also reflected in the beautiful and very careful but unexpected and interesting combination of ingredients. It really worths a try. ❣️

It was a great experience all around. The concept of sharing food with a Greek/Asian fusian is great. Every round of food was incredible, and the recommendations the staff gave were on point. An amazing dinner I could recommend everybody!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Nolan. The dishes are medium size tapas style and the quality was excellent. We tried the Green Beans Salad, the kushiyaki sea bass, cod tempura, angus beef and duck. Every dish was tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice place, on the higher end, with small plates. Nice service and atmosphere. Food was very good , definitely recommend the sea bream tartare. However the cod with the wasabi mayo was a bit salty, and the smashed cucumber salad more sour than we would like. Overall very good, but a bit too expensive for the food offered.

I recently dined at this Michelin-starred restaurant and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere struck a nice balance of elegant yet relaxed, and dining outdoors added a special touch that made the evening enjoyable. The food was truly the highlight. The Pollock was my favorite dish of the evening, perfectly executed and full of flavor. I also really appreciated the amuse-bouche, which set a wonderful tone even before the bread was served. Across the menu, dishes were consistently well-crafted and made the price feel justified — the culinary side of the experience was excellent. Where the restaurant fell short was in the service. While the staff was approachable and discreet, they provided very little information about the dishes or the wine pairings. At times it almost felt as if they weren’t familiar with what they were serving, which was a bit disappointing for a restaurant at this level. The pacing of the meal, was well managed, but can’t believe we were sharing our ice bucket with two more tables 😨 When we arrived, the table and plates had some debris from the trees I think the service could be improved to match the high standard set by the kitchen. A little more engagement and knowledge from the staff would elevate the entire experience.

My experience at Spondi was mixed. Let’s start with the setting: for a high-end restaurant, the ambiance felt rather average. Small, classic tables, nothing extraordinary, nothing that really immerses you. It’s worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, but let’s say it’s not a deal-breaker. After all, I came for the food, not for Instagram-style décor. Still, it’s worth mentioning. Now, on to the cuisine. The beginning was excellent: the amuse-bouche of wagyu beef and arugula cigar was incredible. The duck that followed was also very good. However, the fourth course, lobster with peanut curry, was a disaster in my opinion. The flavor combination was, frankly, unpleasant—I couldn’t finish the dish. Perhaps it’s a matter of personal taste, but I found it poorly conceived. Aside from that, the rest of the savory dishes were solid. Where the experience truly collapsed was the dessert. The phrase “ending on a high note” definitely did not apply here. The mignardises were disappointing, including a melon and Espelette pepper candy that was simply unpleasant. The final coffee-based cake felt like something from a random neighborhood patisserie in the Paris suburbs—far from Michelin standards. The lemon dessert and the ice cream were also just average, again below expectations. The entrée was excellent, the main courses were overall solid, but the dessert ruined the entire experience. And that matters, because as people often say: guests remember the ending. I left with a bitter aftertaste—literally. For a bill of €160, which represents nearly a quarter of the average monthly salary in Greece, one expects a far more uplifting and memorable finale. On a positive note, I must highlight the impeccable service. The staff were extremely professional, both in their explanations and in the pacing of the meal. Overall, I would give this restaurant 14/20. The beginning of the meal was very promising, but the ending fell far short. I personally would not return, mainly because of the desserts, though I can acknowledge that the overall dining experience had strong qualities.

We tried the degustation menu and were satisfied by the presentation and taste. Good wine and cocktail selection. Service was very good and detailed. Sitting inside can give one the feeling that there is lack of privacy, due to the fact that the place is small and a large number of staff is gathered very close to the tables.

I went recently after some years for a business meeting and everything was amazing! ULTRA excellent, discrete and friendly stuff, amazing dishes and pastry (their pastry chefs should also open a boulangerie in Athens as the pastry was in another universe, similar to ones i had at the best boulangeries in Paris), deserts, main courses, drinks and the ambience of the restaurant were exceptional. Would recommend it 100% Let’s hope next year you reach your second star, why not a Third ⭐️/ as you certainly have the team and capacity to do so!!

Spondi in Athens is an outstanding fine dining experience that truly goes above and beyond. What impressed us most was how the team created a special vegetarian menu just for us, with dishes that were not only beautifully presented but also full of creativity and flavor. The service was warm and attentive without being overwhelming, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegant and inviting. Every course felt like a work of art, and it was clear that a lot of thought went into making our evening special. A top choice for anyone looking for a memorable culinary experience in Athens.

A truly fantastic experience from beginning to end. Every bite of food better than the last, from amuse bouche to petit fours… but that smoky butter is something I will dream about for a long time. Excellent service - knowledgeable and welcoming, friendly and sincere… it’s a MUST visit for anyone in Athens.

Visited for dinner and ordered via the a la carte menu. The atmosphere is beautiful and the waiting staff were very friendly and as attentive as they should be. Many of the items were great (with the exception of the Greek rib eye which was slightly underwhelming) but they all lacked the wow factor you expect at such a price range. The Spanish beef fillet was amazing and definitely the highlight of the night. All in all, Cookoovaya is a very nice option in the area, but there are far better options at this price range.

The restaurant is definitely in the top 10% of local greek cuisine. Modern approach to excellent ingredients with talented kitchen staff and very good table service. My waitress Anastasia was fabulous, charming and knew the menu. Praises to chef the cuisine- Anna. They have one more new location on an island.

Really dissapointing food. Extremely expensive for what it is. A salad of basically boiled potatoes for €20, the tiniest piece of amberjack fish served with literaly half a zuchini for €38, the driest piece of seabass fish served with barely boiled wild greens for €35. An untasteful joke. The service was great though! The tables near the open kitchen get way too much heat, best avoid.

This is a very nice restaurant with an elegant, tasteful interior. You can tell that a lot of attention was put into the design — it feels refined but comfortable. The tables are well spaced, offering a sense of privacy that many places lack, and the restaurant itself is quite spacious. The food is excellent and the wine selection is truly impressive — carefully chosen and perfectly matched with the menu. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for the service. Perhaps we were drinking a bit faster than usual, but we often had to pour our own wine, which slightly took away from the otherwise classy experience. Overall, it’s a sophisticated and stylish restaurant, ideal for a nice evening out — though not exactly cheap.

I'm going this place the benefit of the doubt, it came highly recommended but I wasn't blown away by this meal. The raw fish of the day was so citrusy it was overpowering, I couldn't enjoy the natural flavors of the raw fish or other ingredients, it was just a melange of textures "a la limon." Truly disappointing bc I love a good crudo, and it wasn't cheap. My second dish was was the slow cooked goat, it was juicy and tender, but slightly on the sweet side which isn't my preferred flavor profile but others might enjoy it. The potatoes that accompany it were more like potato chips than fries. The staff was kind, and the restaurant is beautiful, don't know if I will give it another try as its quite pricy. One other thing, I didn't enjoy the style of service here in Athens that I experienced a few times at fine dining restaurants. As soon as you sit down, the waiter appears and, even before you get the menu they ask if you would like a certain item, it feels rushed, the client feels pressured and its s bit sneaky to ask if they want to have something like bread if its a premium product w an upsell without letting them know. I'd give this place a 3.9 if I could but since its not a 3 I'll give it a 4, in my opinion.

This is WHERE to dine in Athens. Love it! Ask for waitress Jonna. She is absolutely a professional. We had the lamb chops and grouper. Both were perfect. We shared the pear tart — oh Wow! We are going back tonight for aged mutton for two.

This restaurant is really one of a Kind. All dishes are exquisite, the staff very polite and professional. Great spot for selected flavours in the heart of Athens. You must try beef fillet accompanied with a glass of wine!

We visited Ark in Glyfada to celebrate my sister’s birthday, hoping for a relaxed and memorable afternoon. The location, part of a stylish seaside complex, is visually impressive , modern design, elegant interiors, and a welcoming first impression. I had mentioned the birthday when making the reservation (which was easy and efficient), and while I didn’t expect special treatment, a bit more attention in seating or service would have been appreciated something that should be standard in a place of this level. Unfortunately, the initial service felt disinterested and unengaged. Luckily, a different team member took over and improved the experience. The real letdown was the food: the all-day menu shown online was not available, and we were limited to a rather uninspired breakfast selection. The €20.50 breakfast was disappointing: oily scrambled eggs, dry bread, and little balance in flavor or nutrition. For the prices (Iced tea €8, coffee around €5–6), expectations are naturally higher- especially in terms of ingredient quality, composition, and care. Something like eggs with vegetables, a seasonal fruit salad, or an avocado toast would feel more in tune with what modern brunch-goers might expect. Even small touches, like excessive butter served in the outdoor heat, felt misaligned. Beautiful place, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the setting — there’s definitely potential, but also room to grow.

I went for dinner with my friends at Ark and we were lucky to get a table right by the sea. The setting was absolutely beautiful and calming — a perfect spot to watch the waves and enjoy the atmosphere. However, the service was slow, and the staff didn’t come across as particularly polite or attentive. The prices were surprisingly high, especially considering this is a restaurant in Greece and not London 😅. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary to justify the cost. It felt more like you’re paying for the location than for an exceptional culinary experience.

What an amazing building, decoration and views! Went there for a cup of coffee and sat inside because it was too hot outside. The staff were very polite and welcoming, the place was kid friendly and the toilets were spotless!

Amazing location, style, professionalism, good food. Food is expensive since it is leaning towards fine dining, but the portions are large and you don't feel ripped off like at many other fine dining restaurants.

They take their time because the food and all the beverages are made with precision. A little patience is worth it . Excellent service, location with many spaces to choose to sit. We were amazed although we were hesitant for the hype.

We came a bit late for brunch, but the server was kind enough to let us order from the brunch menu. The food was delicious, and it was honestly the best Americano I’ve ever had! The staff were very welcoming everyone was smiling and helping out. Great teamwork

We had an excellent meal overlooking the city of Athens yesterday evening! We opted for the 10 course degustation and each dish was delicious. Even the bread course stood out as both interesting and delectable! Our main server, Orfeas, was warm and professional with excellent English speaking skills. The whole staff, in fact, was great and very accommodating to us considering we had a stroller and a young infant with us. We would totally recommend Hytra to people who are looking for a fine dining/tasting menus in Athens!

We went to Hytra for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and it was such a delight!! Everything from the food to the service was incredible, down to the smallest detail. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate! We had several amazing staff members working with us throughout the night but sadly only remember the name of one server, Maria was exceptional!

Took a taxi 25 min out to enjoy a Michelin restaurant as opposed to a simple in-town tourist spot & SO GLAD we did! We opted for a set menu and they kindly made pescatarian alternative options for me while my husband enjoyed the meats. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing up on the hilltop. Would recommend to anyone traveling through athens to make this extra little drive for a treat.

Dinner at Hytra was a fabulous experience. Service was impeccable. Food was great. As with most fine dinings restaurants portions are on the smaller side but presentation was impeccable and everything we tried tasted fantastic. The atmosphere is on the casual side with a nice view of the hills surrounding Athens.

Bit mixed feelings about this one. I went on Friday evening. I think the venue will looks better during the day or on a nice summer evening. The interior is nice but nothing special. Also thought that about the bathrooms. Staff was nice and did a good job. I had the tasting menu and the premium wine pairing. The food was tasty, nicely presented, but something is missing to make it special. Wines were great, but the somelier was missing the excitement and did not give a lot of information about the wines. Also I think in they rushed trough the first 3-4 dishes. Anyway, you can give it a try, especially when you get the chance to go there during the day or a early summer night,

Lovely place with a beautiful setting and the views. We had the degustation menu and enjoyed a lot of dishes. However for a Michelin starred restaurant I would expect that they would cater also to the non-drinking crowd at least at some basic level, but was disappointed to hear that my options are limited to soda or non-alcoholic beer.

We came for a birthday celebration meal, we had pre-ordered the menu we wanted to eat, and when we arrived the waiter handed us a menu anyway and we were a little confused. We wanted to taste wine and order a glass and the waiter offered us a bottle and in the end we paid a lot. The waiter spoke very quickly and we had a hard time understanding him. He was charming and helpful, so I would like to praise him for that, but it's not just because of the service that you come to a restaurant like this, we came to eat and we were disappointed. We chose a vegetarian route, and I have to say that if you don't know how to handle vegetables well, it's better not to give the option, the first courses were strange, not tasty and really strange textures. The bread with butter was delicious, the beets with butter and soy sauce were okay but a very simple dish that anyone can make at home, and the desserts were very tasty. I have to say that we left the restaurant feeling nauseous, the food was very not to our taste, and there was also a long wait between courses. And I didn't mention that they poured the water we ordered for another table, there was a cat sitting next to us at the next table, and the restrooms were not as clean as expected for a restaurant like this. Unfortunately, I will not recommend and will not return to the restaurant.

The food is just amazing and full of surprises. It’s not the ordinary type you can get anywhere in Greece, it comes with some unexpected taste and unexpectedly amazing! We ordered the grilled sardines, the veggie sauce for the fish is amazing, sweet and sour with tons of freshness, perfect combination with the sardines! We did not get the tables in the lovely courtyard, but sitting indoor is equally nice in hot summer.

Beautiful garden setting – make sure to reserve! This restaurant has a stunning garden atmosphere, but be sure to make a reservation if you’d like to sit there — it fills up fast. We were seated in the back area, which was comfortable, but the garden is definitely the highlight. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Kavourma with hummus, roasted eggplant with feta, and chicken risotto — all beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The highlight, though, was the cheesecake with lime and almond crumble. It was the smoothest, most delicious cheesecake I’ve had in Greece. Highly recommend!

Really nice place , their garden was very comfortable but full of children running around. Inside area is also nice , with a retro style. Food was delicious and portions were more than enough. We took a day's dish and it was amazing. Prices were ok for what you get!

If you're visiting Athens, you have to come and eat at Ama Lachei at the start or end of the trip, depending on whether you wish to begin or finish your trip to the city with the best meal of your year. The restaurant presents you with well curated mezzes that will leave you full to the brim and trying to figure out how to fit another bite. 10/10 no more notes

The BEST Greek salad I have ever tried in my life. So good we had to order another one. We enjoyed all the other options including the roasted aubragine that tasted heavenly, the courgettes fried balls and the rhum braised pork. With two beers 56 euros. Honest price, amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, loved it.

We had a fairly simple meal at this cute, out of the way restaurant with a large outdoor seating area and a spacious indoor dining area as well. We did not have a reservation and we were sent inside to set although it did seem that there were plenty of tables available outside. That was fine. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food was made, nothing exceptional for some pretty basic Greek dishes. I would not need to go back to this place if I return to Athens. Probably better to go with a group of friends and get a bottle of wine and some snacks. Seems very popular with tourists.

We had an amazing meal at Moorings! The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, and the martinis were perfectly mixed. On top of that, the view was absolutely breathtaking! Dining by the water with such a stunning backdrop made the evening unforgettable. Also amazing shopping in the marina! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vouliagmeni.

We were astounded by the beauty of this restaurant. The incredible view overlooking the water, the marble top tables, and the clean, elegant black and white color palette throughout the entire space created a very professional, business, and polished ambiance. Since we had a large party of six, we decided to order a bit of everything from the menu. Each dish emphasized quality and presentation. Some of my favorites included the “crab rangoons” (shrimp filled with cheese), the spicy salmon sushi, the feta salad, the octopus, and the squid ink linguine. However, nearly everything we ordered was delicious. There was a good balance of Asian-inspired dishes like sushi and the “shrimp rangoon,” as well as Italian-inspired dishes like tiramisu and a few of the pastas. I also wanted to highlight the exceptional quality of the desserts. The tiramisu was exquisite, while the chocolate mousse and the fruit-flavored one were both very impressive. Each person in our group had a different favorite dessert. Is this the best value meal? No, but it’s an elite restaurant experience that’s meant to celebrate an occasion.

I would give it a 5 star because if any restaurant or cafe opens with this view no matter who is the operator it would be lovely because it has a lovely open sea view and marina view .. thats why i rated it 5 stars for atmosphere.. the service is okay the waiter is not very cooperative i asked for avocado toast with the rye bread which is on the menu and just add scrambled eggs to it but he said no its not possible .. he says scrambled eggs only comes with english bread which is weird all breakfast spots have side scrambled eggs.. the place has a bar lounge vibe but at the same time serves breakfast until 1 .. good variety overall for a quick bite at a random time of the day..

Prime location food is quite good. Obviously expensive because of its location. Some people may find it a bit snobby. Even if there are a few empty tables and you asked to move to one of the prime tables outside, they may say no it is reserved even when you know it’s not reserved. This happened to us we were there for an hour and a half and no one came to the prime tables. We did have to send the tuna back because it was undercooked. My wife prefers it more cooked & we explicitly told them when we ordered how we like the tuna to be cooked. They did exchange without any argument & brought it back correct back. Peak season definitely book ahead.

ΒΑΤΙΣΤΑΣ fish stall is the best one I have come across here at this fish market. They speak English, are very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The produce is excellent 👌 I buy Salmon and Sea Bass from here. You can get your fish filleted and they do an excellent job too. Go here first!!! (but save some fish for me, 🙏 😉)

You’ll see locals choosing ingredients for the day’s meal, restaurant buyers loading boxes of seafood, and shopkeepers calling out their daily specials. An interesting experience! The air is full of the smell of fresh (and sometimes not-so-fresh) fish. It’s noisy, crowded, and full of local energy. Definitely worth a visit for the experience!

Looking for an authentic-feeling market in Athens? Look no more. Rows of butchers and fish mongers awaited us on this rainy day. Around the outside of the market, there are also vendors of spices, nuts, dried fruits, and olives (and oil). As you walk in most directions, there are also more modern vendors and stores. There are a variety of restaurants inside as well. One presumes the goods cooked are those sold in the adjacent shops. Someone in our group compared it to the Reading Terminal market in Philadelphia, but "real-er." We enjoyed our time visiting this longtime market.

A bustling municipal market in the Monastiraki district. Here you'll find everyday ingredients from meats, fish, produce, herbs, cookware, and more. It is a great site to visit and see the ingredients that locals use to prepare their meals. We were a bit turned off by one of the herb stores that tried to gouge us as tourists on the price of products.

Woow. The variwty of meats, seafood and fruits is breathtaking. And the prices are so low it really shows how much we overpay in restaurants. 1 kg of freshly-caught octopus- 7€, kalamari- 6€, and so on...

As a tourist, I cannot recommend these type of visits enough. You get to really see the local culture unfiltered from the lens of tourism. Free to visit and no one gave us any grief for just browsing.

We visited this restaurant on a weekday around 7 PM. It was sunny and warm outside, and we really wanted to sit outside, but all the tables were full. A very kind gentleman at the door told us we could wait for one to open up—and it was totally worth the wait! The food was absolutely amazing. The salmon tartar is a must-try—it was fresh and full of flavor. For mains, we had the linguini with shrimp and garlic, and fried calamari with fried potatoes. Everything was delicious. We also tried the little pies with mizithra cheese and honey as a starter, and they were incredible too. Service was friendly and welcoming. If I had to point out one thing to improve, it would be how long it took for someone to take our order for food (about 30 minutes). But to be fair, they brought us drinks right away, and sipping wine while watching the sunset made the wait feel just fine. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the vibe!

I can confidently say this was the best seafood restaurant I visited in Athens. Every single seafood dish you see in the photos was incredibly delicious. We didn’t have a reservation, but they kindly seated us after a short wait. With a stunning sea view and Greek songs playing in the background, they offered us an unforgettable feast. I also had the chance to try eel on its own for the first time here — not as sushi — and it was surprisingly delicious. The meze dishes were absolutely outstanding as well. If you’re in Athens and craving seafood (especially the octopus and calamari — they were exceptional!), this place is a must-visit. The staff were also very friendly, which is definitely an important detail!

We took the hop on hop off bus through the Greek Rivera to see the beautiful coastline and got off at the last stop before it turns around. Sardelaki me Thea looked like a great spot to grab some dinner. While waiting for a table, the staff rolled out the retractable roof over the patio raining sand down onto a few tables which had just been served their food. They worked quickly to reseat those guests and cleanup. We saw the situation and waited patiently, soon getting seated at one of those table. But then it took a very long time for a waiter to take our order and every interaction with the staff seemed to be deliberately slow. We were obviously not locals and I don't think they really wanted us eating there. The food wasn't anything exceptional either. We had the fried calamari, fried zucchini, and a fresh catch. After asking for our check three times we eventually went to the register and paid there. Overall, it was the least pleasant dining experience we had in Greece.

One of the best seafood spots I’ve been to! The fish was incredibly fresh, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Service was fast and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in Vouliagmeni and craving great Greek seafood with a view.

four stars because I thought the service could have been a touch more tentative, but they were extremely busy so I think generally this amount of staff would be fine. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in my life and you will not regret going here not to mention the view of the water in Marina is absolutely beautiful.

Garbi is one of those places that just feels special the moment you sit down. I love how the view makes you feel like you're almost floating above the water—there’s something so calming and luxurious about it. The fish is incredibly fresh (you can actually pick your catch), and every dish is simple but full of flavor. Service is smooth and professional, without being too formal. It’s the kind of spot where time slows down, perfect for a long, easy lunch or a sunset dinner that turns into a lingering evening by the sea.

The atmosphere and view were amazing but that was about it. They charge $10 for a single oyster on the half shell which seems a bit expensive when we got oysters in Athens city center for much cheaper. The service was also very slow, we waited to get a menu for about ten minutes and we were one of only 4 parties in the restaurant. The prices of the dishes were pretty absurd for the amount of food you get also, even in the really touristy areas the prices were less and we got way more food.

It is located on the seashore. The service is well organized. There is a free beach on the coast. The sea is shallow. I recommend it.

Very nice place with variety of seafood and some choices of meat which I can say it was also very good in quality and portion. The atmosphere is just magical especially on sunset time. Very friendly staff and always there to help.

We ordered fish ‘youvarlakia’ - typically a rice-dill-meat ball reimagined with fish, interesting but I tend to think the classic sans-fish dish is more to my liking. 2 stars were lost for a) some kind of fish/food residue left below our table, by the previous patrons that was somehow left for me to step on when I seated myself - fried calamari was done abit lacklustre, in taste and texture - picture attached for reference - the main dish came way too long after the appetizers, so long that we had thought it was forgotten - the octopus balls tastes strongly like falafel with too much spice and not much else - and when we requested for the shades to be brought down to cut out the encroaching afternoon sun, the witty repartee by staff that we should put on sunblock didn’t help the rating - 2.5 stars

Had a wonderful dinner the other day with a group of four. We got multiple starters and mains to share them altogether and I have to say everything was amazing! The crayfish pasta was particularly a highlight, as were the crab salad and the taramosalata (sooo foamy yet really creamy! An amazing texture). We also got a millefeuille to share which was accompanied by a spongy portokalopota plus ice cream (orange cake), both phenomenal. Our server was an excellent older man who had clearly a lot of passion for his job and was very sociable and accommodating. With its tables right on the beach coast it is definitely worth the cost. Highly recommended!

Best seafood restaurant in Athens in my opinion. I have been there a couple of times and each time it gets better and better. In my opinion it is suited for anyone who likes tasty food and fresh fish. Wheelchair people can also access every area of the restaurant with no issue.

A good restauraunt. The view from your table is stunning Food: for 20 euros, i personally think that the grilled fish could have a little bit more on the plate. It just seems a little empty. The desserts were top notch, especially the profiterol, which was excellent Overall, a solid expierience. 4 out of 5

Can’t ask for a better seaside ambience. It was quiet, breezy, with stunning sea view. Very polite staff. Service was great. Got really good seafood options. A bit expensive though. But for the food, ambience and service, it’s worth having one lunch there if you’re in Athens.

Arrived around 18:00 and it was pretty empty. We were seated under a covered patio and had beautiful views of the ocean & boats. The music was a perfect volume. The service was great, and the food was amazing! The dinner crowd started showing up as we left, and it looked like heaven dining on their grounds with that beautiful view! Such a quiet and serene atmosphere coupled with the food, it has become my favorite restaurant!! Can't wait to go back!!

The restaurant is alright, but in my opinion not much of an experience. Food was decent, we had some starters, salads and dips. Those were all good, but when it comes to the main dishes we had - they were pretty soulless. I shared a lobster platter with one of my guests. Lobster was alright and so was the pasta accompanying the lobster, but unfortunately nothing captivating. Service was alright, not much to comment. They followed serving etiquette rules and all the cutlery was nice and polished - as it should in a place of such rank. Again, nothing negative to say, but I definitely wouldn’t repeat, there are better places with a similar atmosphere and price point.

Magical view and atmosphere! The sunsets here are absolutely beautiful. We’ve been here several times. The first time, everything was great despite the very slow service. The second time, however, we had some issues with the dishes and the service again.

We had our first experience eating at a Michelin-rated restaurant here in Greece. They offered an 11-course surprise menu with a wine pairing. Each course had a beautiful presentation & the tastes just all came together. Aside from the amazing dishes, the service was fantastic. Each course & wine pairing was explained. This was truly an unforgettable experience!

We visited yesterday for our anniversary. The good: 1. Most of the courses were excellent. Great culinary experience 2. My husband had informed for his dietary restrictions in time and they had prepared really nice courses for him. 3. The music was nice. The bad: 1. The restaurant felt cold inside and we kept asking to close the door and the windows. They would, for 2 minutes and they’d reopen them again. We felt very uncomfortable with the temperature and even though they assured they’d turn up the heating they didn’t. We had to physically stand up and go shut the door ourselves multiple times. This is unacceptable for Michelin restaurants. Other people were wearing their coats because they were cold too. 2. We arrived at 07.05 and asked for the empty table at the window which we were refused. The justification was we give the table according to booking date. The people who had booked the table came at 21.40. They could have told us you may have it until 21.00 and perhaps that would be ok. Also, nowhere has it been our experience to be punished with the worst table if you book 3 days before. The manager herself had an argument with us. Even though we asked for 2 tables that both were fulfilled after 21.30. Mind you the restaurant was empty when we arrived. 3. We had written in the booking that it was our anniversary - everywhere in the world they surprise us in a way- here absolutely nothing. They didn’t even mention it. Overall even though the food was great the service didn’t justify the Michelin star distinction.

This was our first visit to a Michelin-starred restaurant, and CTC Urban Gastronomy truly delivered an unforgettable experience. The service was exceptional—professional, warm, and attentive throughout. The food was not just a meal, but a carefully curated journey of flavors and textures. The setting strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, with a smart-casual vibe that feels both relaxed and refined. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and the wine pairing was the cherry on top—perfectly matched and absolutely amazing.

First - the assistant sommelier Zan was fabulous. Knowledgeable, fun personality, really helpful. We enjoyed the Greek wine flight. Other waiters were good. Second - Menu is 90% seafood. Overall the food was 30% exceptional (corn soup, squid pasta, beef & tart), 40% excellent and 30% good but a bit plain (souvlaki, dessert medley w chocolate / sponge cake / tart). Third - seating. There are about 25 tables in the outside courtyard. When we arrived all were empty, except one table had 2 guests. They sat us next to that table. And those two tables were positioned really close together - more than any others in the entire restaurant. * The first hour of service, there were only three tables with guests in the entire restaurant. The second hour two more tables were seated. It wasn't busy at all. Therefore I was left puzzled. Why?? Why?? Why when there's so much available space, sit us next to other people, especially this woman who was so loud and irritating. I asked them to move us before service started and the hostess acted like it was a strange request. That was a very disappointing start to the dinner. Part of fine dining is the overall dining experience. It left me shaking my head with wonder....a rookie mistake you would expect from a sidewalk cafe. So they lose a star for that.

We had our first Michelin-star experience at CTC Urban Gastronomy in Athens, and it was truly memorable. The tasting menu took us on a beautifully curated journey — the flavors were unexpected in the best way, carefully balanced, and executed with precision. Every dish brought something new, and the plating was like art. Service was professional yet warm, striking that perfect balance between luxury and friendliness. The team made us feel welcome and informed without being overly formal. Each wine pairing enhanced the dish without overpowering it. There were two points that slightly took away from the otherwise impeccable evening: 1. The aperitif recommended before the meal felt unnecessary and disconnected from the menu. It came across as an upselling tactic, which slightly broke the magic of an otherwise thoughtful dining experience. 2. We were charged for a bottle of sparkling water we never ordered. It was a small amount (€6), and we didn’t bring it up to avoid awkwardness at the end of the evening, but at this level of dining, such things should not happen. Aside from that, the experience was well worth it. The team clearly works with passion and skill. It’s a place I’d recommend to anyone looking to celebrate something special or just indulge in culinary artistry.

Simply put, this is one of the top 3 fine dining restaurants in Greece. The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our every need. The atmosphere is simply stunning (you can’t help but imagine how it would feel to live in this house and not just eat in its yard). The indoor area also seems very nice, but it seems it is mostly reserved for cold or rainy days. The corn soup (with lobster) and the langoustine welcome dish were to die for and brilliant presentation and flavour wise.

for a Michelin star restaurant there were a lot of hits and miss. it was overall very cute, but the flavours for the menu were more or less simple. if compared to Soil or Delta, it was neither so much amazing flavours, not techniques. The polenta course looked cool, was super plain. the souvlaki was grrat as concept, but the execution of the “meat” was lacking the meatiness. overall ok, for 185€. worth trying once.

Great spot! The beef was tender and flavorful, and the Greek salad was super fresh. Portions were huge! Ended the meal with a lovely Greek coffee, and they even treated me to some complimentary ice cream. Warm, welcoming service—definitely worth a visit!

Food was very nice, Meat balls were very tasty! You can taste every spice which I like a lot. Horta was crispy deliscious without too much oil. Perfect! Kotopolou fillet was very good indeed, says the one who ordered it and a perfect portion with the fries. Chicken cutlets very well flavored & juicy, collagens and the skin very crispy. One thing to comment on was that the bones were crushed, so be careful of the chicken tender bits and chew softly just in case if you order them. Old fillings may come loose for elders if not careful. I didn't chew down on any bones but the knife did a few times so I needed to sort some bits out first. The service is top, despite being busy. Very nice, the tables filled quickly as we sat there. Atmosphere is "Curb-side" But it doesn't matter when the food & company is great, if you are picky about seating you may try to politely ask for a table nearer the wall...? - Apologies for the owner as my photos are not making the food looking the best or nearly as tasty as it was. I was in good but hungry company so the food was quickly plated away to individual plates I had to be quick about it. Haha. That said, efcharistó gia to oraío fagitó! Next time we are here we might come again.

A great tavern, with a variety of delicious, traditional greek dishes. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in an old village tavern, even though you're in the middle of the city. There's enough space for events and they sometimes have live music. Friendly and helpful service! Definitely try theis mead dishes, especially their meatballs!

I love this place. We had the bad surprise that since this year they stopped serving water melon with the check. A tradition that they honored for the last 20 years at least. All others are excellent. The baby zucchini, vlita, the burgers, homemade fries, etc..

Nice grill restaurant with a very good service. The menu choices comprise most types of common meats, veal, beef, pork, lamb and chicken, served as steak, skewer or chops... There is also a nice starters list with all the traditional Greek starters. The wine list is maybe a bit limited.... My favorite are the lamb chops, that you have available as a portion or for the big eaters, by weight!!!

Ordered a veal steak, they brought a pork steak, but charged the price of the former, 7 euro higher. They didn't even look at the food, denied automatically. Crooks.

Tuk Tuk Thai Food in Athens is a little gem if you’re craving authentic Thai flavors. The menu isn’t huge, but every dish feels carefully made, bursting with spice and freshness. The pad thai and curry are standouts, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. The vibe is casual and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends. It can get busy, so expect a bit of a wait, but the food is worth it. Overall, a great spot for a tasty, no-frills Thai food experience in the heart of the city.

First time trying the place and absolutely loved it ! Parked infront there were lot of people in the street waiting for tables - went today Tuesday 9/9 10 pm place is small and packed and ppl queuing up for tables and take away … waited for 30 mins or so for a table and was worth it ! Love the vibes and decor and open kitchen, everything cooked fresh … Tried the shrimp dumplings so good - red duck curry was pretty tasty - the drunken noodles with pork and that tasted so good love the ginger and spice … if you love spicy food some of the menu items are very spice satisfying ! Waiters were fun quick and pretty friendly ( the older guy with glasses , the short girl n short hair, & the tall Greek guy with tattoos and long hair ) all lovely ! Another spot added to my fav in Athens 🔥👌

They make almost everything in the menu plant-based. Definetely great vegan options, papaya salat was stunning, best noodles I've ever had, amazing atmosphere, great location, good service, fair prices - loved it.

All things considered, this is pretty authentic Thai food in Greece. The bar is facing the open kitchen so you can see how they make food. The wait for our Pad See Ew was a bit long. An old English guy sitting next to us kept trying to talk to us in an unpleasant way.

After 8 days of eating pita’s and slovaki my palette was yearning for something new. In Corfu we dipped into an Asian place but the curry was awful. So on my last day in Athens I prayed this place lived up to my curry standards. First the place is cute. The music is fire up in there too. I saw a couple asians cooking and thought ok it has to be authentic. Well I ordered the massaman curry and it was SO GOOD! I felt like I was eating Thai back home in Chicago where Thai restaurants come a dime a dozen. We also ordered the chicken dish and the chicken was so soft and it came with sticky rice (pictured). This place hands down is authentic and that is the key when you are eating Thai. People can mess up Thai curry but this place the curry is exactly as it should be. I would recommend this place over and over and over again. Do not hesitate or think about just b line straight there and you won’t be disappointed, but you might have to wait it’s not very big but to me it’s perfect as it is!

The flavors were spectacular (lovers of that cuisine here).. We ordered: Tom Ka Khai chicken soup - Kio Dot Won Ton fried pork dumplings- Pad Thai chicken- Pad Ped Naman Hoi Stir Fry duck & 2 beers Blame the sun. The soup was out of this world, we ate every little piece of it, the dumplings were tasty with the perfect crispness, pad thai was okay and the duck super flavory and generally all the portions were big enough. The space is far too small for so many people, with even smaller tables, making it difficult to eat peacefully with no stress. We had all those things on the table and we had to eat quickly so that we will have space for the rest coming. Plus having the fear that the waiters passing quickly next to us, will spill our food or drinks. Have in mind that they don't accept reservations, so be prepared for waiting list. Service was kind and food quickly prepared. Overall was a nice experience.

Beautiful location and setting for this restaurant. With seating indoor and outdoors next to the harbour. Staff is very professional and friendly. But for a seafood restaurant the dishes left is a little disappointed. Maybe it was before their busy season and not really busy. The king prawns were too well done and the calamari cold. Fish soup was OK but the seabass was too tough. Only the salads and vegetables were agreeable. Even the octopus lacked in taste. Shame as they do charge premium prices, probably for the view and atmosphere.

Amazing food, beautifully presented in a stunning setting. Unfortunately, the service feels cheap and inconsistent. From waiters throwing leftover food to the fish, to staff eating bread while sitting on the floor or speaking to guests with chewing gum. Water was poured like a 10-year-old would, wine was always spilled, and the audacity of asking “Please put your tip here” was quite something. I would definitely come back for the food and the location, but you must invest in service, etiquette, and manners to elevate your team to the level your food deserves.

Unfortunately not as expected :( My husband and I went for dinner (I’d already reserved 9 days ago and added a note to get a sea view & confirmed my reservation this morning) to find out that we had 2 table options: 1- On the balcony with a view where we see the fish, but the last table on the balcony with no lights, no fish view, 2-3 insects on the plate & fork 2- 2nd row view I asked him if any table leaves if we can move, and he said that he already had 2 reservations, yet only 1 couple came later and there were more than 4 tables empty. We waited for 15 minutes for someone to come & take our order. The food took some time (almost 30 minutes) but honestly, it was delicious. We ordered a bottle of water when we arrived, and the waiter decided to open a new one and keep on pouring us water (which was charged - basically we paid for 2 bottles) They serve 3 types of French bread with a dip and olives (which surprisingly were also charged)! Overall, I think it’s a bit overpriced and overrated. I don’t really recommend this place and don’t know why this happened with us even though the food was delicious but the whole situation and service ruined the mood.

Delicious Greek fare - loved the taramasalata, the Greek salad, the sea bass carpaccio, the octopus and the swordfish pasta. Nice wine list. Good service. Lovely views by the sea.

I’m giving it five stars mainly thanks to our amazing waitress and the delicious food. The hostess, however, wasn’t particularly friendly and seated us at a table partially in the sun, even though shaded tables stayed vacant for several hours while we were there. That said, I still recommend visiting, it’s a nicely tucked-away spot with very good food.

This is a great restaurant. I would come back again. It can be improved regarding the service, but otherwise the music and the food were better than expected. The view is amazing!

We stopped off for lunch prior to catching our ferry. The food was delicious. I had a lovely souvlaki while my husband had the sardines. Prices were very reasonable and service excellent. Would definitely stop off there again.

We were advised by friends to try food in this fish taverna. Evry dish we tried was perfect - red snapper, mamas shrimps and fava with haringa. Thank you for making our dinner pleasent.

We have been all over Greece and have been disappointed for overrated and overcharged food. This restaurant is the best Greek place we have been to this entire trip. Too bad we discovered it on our last night. Worth a repeat and visit. We had the melon carpaccio, bread, Greek salad to start. Main course was chicken and the fresh fish catch-absolutely delicious. The food is very fresh, well prepared and well presented. Amazing food with friendly staff and great service. Definitely a must try and worth visiting.

Delicious Greek food with beautiful plating and homey, welcoming style (with so many lovely Knick knacks and family history surrounding you). The lamb entre melts in your mouth and the souvlaki was the best I've ever had. Don't miss it when near the Acropolis Museum.

Ingredients of supreme quality, unpretentious and simply dishes, beautiful presentations on a very home-like environment! This is a keeper! Not to miss: eggplant saganaki, pork belly, Lamb!

Discovered ELLEVORO by chance my first night in Athens, followed by an equally memorable meal my last night in this ancient city. No other restaurant surpassed the bookend experiences of dining here. The atmosphere is a surrealist time capsule. The service is wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Some highlights included: Grilled cheese with a pepita and mint puree. The Chicken Ballotine. Galaktoboureko for dessert.

Cosy taverna well located close to Vouliagmeni beachfront and the best choice if you’re looking for fresh fish. The staff is friendly and any table gets watermelon for free, very refreshing for both, ahold as well as kids, especially on hot summer days. Just one thing: I prefer longer breaks between the courses - when I’m in holiday I don’t wanna rush my food.

I have no idea how long I've been coming to this restaurant but it has been close to four decades and it has never ever disappointed me I have taken friend of mine from almost every country in the world America United Kingdom Italy France Cayman Islands Brazil Argentina Puerto Rico Germany Malta China and a plethora of other countries that I'm currently not able to remember because I just can't. So one thing that I remember very very well is the impeccable service I have received upon every single visit another thing I can remember is how delicious everything I tasted was and still is like I said I've been coming to this place for a really long time there are dishes that they no longer serve that I wish they did but they have replaced them with maybe even better ones. This is truly a spectacular restaurant with delicious food of impeccable quality without its needing to pretend to be something which it is not it is just pure taste flavor and ecstasy. I guess I can consider myself lucky to be living around the corner from this uniquely wonderful place. For all you vegans out there this place most definitely can cater after your likes I said at least one third of the menu is vegan I say this because I have many vegan friends I am not vegan but they are and if they tell me it is one of the best meals I've ever had I guess you too will enjoy it. 11/27/22 update everything is still amazing, and the fish soup is divine!!!!

Got served old stale sardines which i find unacceptable for a place with such a history. This used to be the go-to tavern for fresh fish, it’s really disappointing how basic and even stale were the dishes I got. Really good location however I think it’s not worth it unless you get a salad, fries and a drink. All in all it’s probably good for basic tourism. I hope it goes back to its former good standards.

After travelling all over greece they just missed the mark by a lot. Asked for olive oil for the bread and got charged for it but never got it. Had to google translate the the reciept to realise this. The pork was over cooked and asked for veges instead of chips and got some Zucchini. Maybe we got spoilt elsewhere but our last night in greece and was far from what we will remember greek cuisine being. No pasta options just spaghetti or chips so not very greek.

This was the best meal we had through our entire trip, it was absolutely amazing, we went twice! The seafood is so fresh and the staff are great and looked after us both times. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. Sitting on the beach is amazing! Definitely get the tuna carpaccio!!

Perfect for what I wanted - on the beach, but slightly low key, not one of the nearby busier, fancier places. Just came for a beer with some fried squid. They generously gave me some delicious marinated anchovy while I was waiting for the squid, but I’ll pay for that. I didn’t want a bottle of ouzo, so they gave me just a glass. A lovely lunch all around.

Incredibly lovely place! The owner Sotos was so kind and accommodating. The food was delicious. I had fresh tuna and it could be the best fish I’ve ever had. Eating by the sea is amazing itself. Highly recommended!

Very very cozy place, close to the beach. Staff was very friendly sometimes too pushy but overall nice. Fresh fish was delicious, sides was also good. But that grilled fish, something special, simple yet delicious. With this view I strongly recommend sitting on any time of day.

This restaurant is a must-visit and undoubtedly one of the best in Athens. The pizza is a true standout, transporting you straight to Italy with every bite. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating; even though I went without a reservation, they were exceptionally polite and welcoming.

The restaurant is very simple and the decor is very simple. There was no ambiance on Saturday when we visited. The food is fine but quite basic and nothing really stands out. The parpadelle pasta did not seem very fresh and even if it was made in house, it was clearly prepared a few days ago. I would not really recommend this restaurant as there are much better options elsewhere.

I recently visited this Italian restaurant in Athens and overall the experience was a bit disappointing. The service was friendly and attentive — the staff were polite and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. I ordered the carbonara, which turned out to be quite underwhelming. The pasta was heavily overcooked and we only tasted the cheese in the sauce. They didn't charge us for this dish after we complained, so that's a plus.

I wanted to visit cupola for long time and finaly did it. The place is not fancy but clean and nice atmosphere where the staff is really friendly and fast. We started with a tonata which was a bit more salty that had to.be and missed a bit the taste as the fried capers on top was imposed the taste. 2nd plate was the spicy Amatriciana which my opinion was a bit heavy on my stomach but taste was good. 3rd plate was the Mezzi pistachio which wasn't also in my taste but my girlfriend dreamed about. Taste was more basil than pistachio which I didn’t find so nice i would definitely wanted more "pistachio flavor and maybe diferent cheese to give a sparkle to the plate. Prices are very good for the effort and the menu. Would try again soon for the rest plates. Both cocktails we try were good.

Nice restaurant outside of the crazy tourist centre. Amazing tasty cuisine - for those who want to vary from Greek cuisine. The arancini were so good. The food was so good, we didn’t have time to take a photo :) The atmosphere in the small quite pedestrian street is really nice. We were lucky to have a table as on Saturday for lunch (around 14h) it was fully booked.

We have been to most of the Italian restaurants in Athens and this is by far the worst. With the exception of the buser, the staff appeared irritated when we expected service. The kitchen refused any changes to the menu (nothing complicated- just no parsley on the pasta) and when we were served the wrong dishes, no apology was forthcoming. Perhaps we’d have been more forgiving if the food was good but it was not. The papperadelle ragout was inedible (though our waitress did not notice or care about the practically untouched plate). The pizza fared better by being mediocre. The waitress then asked for a tip. Here’s a tip: do better.

If you are a sushi lover then this is the place to be. Everything was so fresh! It was also really nice to see them make everything in front of you. We also tried some new things which made it even more fun. They were also considerate about my allergies! The vibe was good, I did feel a little bit like I was in Japan. A reservation at this spot is a must!

Superb sushi - beautifully fresh, made with artistry and care. The set menu may seem restrictive, but it is all so well-chosen and made, you won’t feel that way when you’re eating. We particularly enjoyed the Greco-Japanese fusion in such dishes as red mullet sushi, bracketed with the head and tail of the fish, deep fried and delightfully crispy, and served with Cretan tsigoudia. Everyone working there was welcoming and kind, from the chef himself to everyone on staff, they seemed to take a justified pride in the food and be happy to see you enjoy it. A wonderful meal. As one of us said “if Japan and Greece ever go to war,all we have to do is bring the leaders to eat here, and we’ll have peace before the first plate is eaten.”

I’ve traveled extensively and eaten sushi around the world, but Sushi Mu in Athens served me the best sushi of my life. The highlights were the mackerel, red mullet, and scallop – each piece was a masterclass in freshness and balance. The rice was outstanding: fluffy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor, elevating every bite into something extraordinary. What truly sets Sushi Mu apart is not only the food but also the people. The chef and the entire team are warm, friendly, and genuinely make you feel comfortable, which adds to the whole experience. At €55, it’s remarkable value for money. Considering that many takeaways charge €30 for mediocre mayonnaise-covered rolls, Sushi Mu is on another level entirely. One important note: you’ll need to book a table in advance – and it’s absolutely worth it. Sushi Mu isn’t just a sushi spot; it’s where you discover what sushi is really meant to be. Highly recommended.

Wow!!! This is how the real Japanese Omakase menu should look like! All the fish are super fresh and high quality. The tastes of everything were amazing, and it really feels like you are in Japan for almost 2 hours. The crew of the place are super nice, and the head chef is great and professional. If you love sushi, this is the place for you in Athens.

There are no places on earth where you can get omakase of this quality for the price. Fantastic fresh fish and starter with great cocktails too. The space in intimate and stylish. The chef is really engaging and friendly and clearly strives to give the diner a great experience. Absolutely worth going - I've already been twice.

This was one of the best sushi menu. The Greek chef has created a complete menu that combines so many flavors that leave your palette satisfied. The best: surely all plates were top but IMO the red mullet sushi and fried parts were a surprise. The flat: I can’t say that any of the plates was flat! Sushimou is a must!

Very refined Thai flavours, with their duck dishes being the very highlight of my night. Went with a coupon from Dealsafari and it was very much worth it. Would absolutely recommend a visit, even without a coupon!

We visited this restaurant at around 21:00 weekday.m during June. Atmosphere was very nice and cozy. We had 2-3 dishes and 2 beers . All the dishes were amazing and very very good in terms of quantity (we had to take half of them home). Service was also excellent and owner very kind and friendly! We will definitely visit again so to taste rest of menu. Parking was very easy since there is a plenty of space around.

Great Thai food and cocktails! We had the pad Thai, chicken and peanut skewers the mango salad and the wonton - their crispy duck and pancakes were excellent! Well done guys!

Nice restaurant with great food and perfect staff. Everything was great, from the pleasant and helpful staff to the delicious food. The music and the atmoshpere was exceptional. There were many options in the menu, from the starters to the main dishes, cocktails, etc. The prices are reasonable, considering the portions which are quite big! Definetely I will go there again to taste the rest of the plates in the menu.

A wonderful Thai restaurant with tasty food and really amazing cocktails. The aesthetics of the space are spot on, complementing the menu nicely, while the music is relaxing and allows for conversation over dinner. The staff is also very accommodating and polite. As far as food goes, everything was delicious, presented nicely on different serving plates and portion sizes were very much worth the money, as we were completely full by the end of our meal. The cocktails were a particularly nice touch, as the menu features a lot of creative house cocktail options. We tried a couple, both of which exceeded expectations. If you are in the mood for authentic Thai food in a colorful environment, I highly recommend you visit Andaman.

I am almost sorry to write this, because this place is so beautiful and the drinks were lovely. But the food has nothing to do with Thailand (and I’ve never even been to Thailand, just good restaurants! 😄). We had chicken cashew which I guess was only cooked with soy sauce, no bold flavors, chicken was not freshly made (there was an unpleasant aftertaste of a reheated chicken). Green curry was nice in a “I could do this at home with a store-bought paste” kind of way, pad thai was at least tamarind-packed but overcooked, and the starters would be okay if this was a fast food restaurant. Papaya didn’t taste like papaya, if someone told me it’s white radish I would believe it 😄 Honestly I just stopped taking pictures after starters 😄 We paid 100 EUR / 3 people. That’s only okay for the restaurant they think they are, but way too much for underseasoned, inauthentic food. It's so disappointing because the place sure does have a nice ambiance. It deserves someone who cares about food, and not who relies on the instaworthiness to be enough (which it looks like it is, the place was packed). All in all, the food is worse than average and thus overpriced. Come here for drinks and pictures if you have to.

Always a delicious experience awaits us! A big variety of Thai plates, full of spices and flavors. You can start with a cocktail and then proceed with the appetizers while you wait for the main dish. What an evening! We were greeted by vinyl soul music and lovely hosts. We enjoyed our evening at the bar in front of the busy grill. Perfectly executed food: we had a wide range of japanese skewers, fresh appetizers and nice cocktails and draught beer. Everything was exeptional. Service was lovely as well and always there, when we wanted to order. Perfect in every way! It gets really busy, so plan ahead and book a reservation! Definitely one of our highlights on our trip!

I’ve been to Birdman twice 6 months apart and each one was a true culinary experience. A friend had originally recommended this spot and after our first time, we could not wait to get back to Athens and visit this restaurant once again. Their version of fusion foods are exceptionally prepared and truly delicious. This time we invited our friends and we could not have enough of anything we tasted. We will surely be coming here the next time we visit Athens.

It was a complete disappointment. They cut the Wagyu steak three times and then grilled it again. They even sliced ​​the last one completely and re-cooked it. When I told them I couldn't accept this, that the meat had lost all its juices, they tried to convince me for nearly 10 minutes. Finally, they made a new one, with all their sullenness. If you don't even know how to cook meat, at least be polite to the customer and admit you couldn't do it. Once cut, you can't re-cook it! Other than that, the food I ordered was average. The place is small and uncomfortable. The people wearing black aprons are so sullen that they drain your energy. Only the waiters and bartenders are friendly.

One of the very best spots in Athens. The atmosphere, the people, the music, and the service are outstanding. The food is out of this world: yakitori, nigiri, katsu sando, tataki, tartar, and gyoza are perfection. Cocktails and sake are excellent, and the vibe is always great with top DJs. I come to Athens frequently, and this is the place I never miss. A true must-visit in the city. As a wine lover, my only wish would be for a larger wine list, since everything else is so thoughtfully curated. Special mention to Vasya, who is simply amazing—her warm welcome, professionalism, and ability to organize everything flawlessly make every visit exceptional. Eftechia, with her passion for wine, and Chris at the bar, with his energy and talent, also deserve recognition. And truly, the whole team makes Birdman such an organic, welcoming place where service and hospitality shine every time.

We visited Birdman on a Sunday evening and were greeted by very polite and helpful staff who made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Although the restaurant is quite small, it has a pleasant and relaxed vibe that adds to the overall dining experience. The food was nicely cooked and enjoyable, with good attention to flavour and presentation. However, in comparison with other Asian restaurants in the area, the menu and dishes felt a little less distinctive. The cocktail, while well-made, was noticeably small in portion for its price, which was a little disappointing. Overall, Birdman offers a friendly atmosphere and well-prepared food, making it a nice spot for a casual meal, though it could benefit from a touch more originality—and perhaps more generous cocktails—to stand out among its peers.

We recently dined at Herve restaurant with high expectations. While there were definitely some enjoyable moments — a couple of dishes stood out with great balance and creativity — overall, the meal didn’t quite deliver the level of excitement we were hoping for. The service was professional, the atmosphere refined, and the presentation elegant, as you’d expect from a place with such a reputation. But we found our self waiting for that “wow” moment — the kind of dish that surprises you, lingers in your memory, and reminds you why you love fine dining. Unfortunately, it never really came (and we did upgrade the dishes to A5 and Caviar). It was a good meal, just not a great one. For a Michelin restaurant, I expected a bit more magic.

The presentation of each dish is stunning, making it clear that a lot of thought and craftsmanship go into the plating. Service is also top-notch—attentive, knowledgeable, and warm, adding to the overall experience. That said, while the food itself is impressive, I found myself wanting more of a cohesive theme or narrative behind the dishes. There’s undeniable creativity at play, but without a clear sense of the chef’s story or perspective, the meal felt more like a collection of great ideas rather than a fully realized concept. Some added context about the inspiration behind the menu would elevate the experience even further.

Do not miss an opportunity to dine at Herve. This was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life. I booked a reservation for a group of 9 through the booking system on their website. There is a deposit but you can cancel up to a certain number of days ahead. The staff reached out to confirm our booking and note any dietary restrictions. They were exceptionally prompt and easy to work with. The night of we arrived to find a cozy restaurant nestled in a neighborhood in Athens. They were fluent in English which was helpful for communication. The restaurant appears to only have one seating nightly so our almost three hour long meal was paced without rush. The first few courses came out quickly but slowed down as the evening progressed. The sommelier was helpful for those who did not choose the pairing. Those of us who did were treated to interesting wines that we may never have tried ourselves. The food is outstanding. There are some interesting takes on traditional Greek dishes and ingredients along with some international favorites. There is so much care and attention in every single aspect of each course. It’s incredible to experience a group that is at the top of their game. I wish the best to Herve and their future. This experience has set a new standard of fine dining for me and my friends. I'm not the biggest fan of tasting menus. And I really don't like bar seats that are stool high. But i've got to tell you that this tasting menu experience was perfection. Not only was the food amazing, the different staff presented different dishes. Which I thought was a great way to include the team. And the bar stools for the chef's table were the most comfortable I've sat in my entire life. If the owners come in someday and they're missing. I might have snuck in and taken them. Each dish was so uniquely flavorful and perfectly made. The service was also on point. They changed our utensils at every dish. They were unobtrusive and yet attentive. The sommelier was a fabulous addition. My friend got the wine pairing, and I just had a glass of white burgundy. The white burgundy was also excellent.

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful restaurant. Our table was in the Essence Room, which, to our surprise, had an open roof. We loved the unique touch of a cat peeking down at us from the edge—such a charming moment! Food The dishes were incredibly well thought out. One dish in particular—quail egg with spinach, dill, and lumpfish roe—was easily in my top five dishes of all time. It’s no surprise they’ve kept it on the menu for years. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The final dessert was a lovely little touch 🎆🫠. What Could Be Better We were a bit disappointed that some dishes had optional add-ons and that an extra course was available for purchase. For us, this experience should be about the chef’s complete vision, without making guests wonder: “Should I add these extras? Am I missing out on something?” The wine pairing itself was perfect in terms of selection and pairing, but I would have preferred a standard pour—at least to the widest part of the glass—even if it required an extra charge. The sommelier’s pours felt very minimal. As for coffee, we expected a bit more attention to detail—most fine dining spots usually excel in that area, but it felt underwhelming here. Overall Despite these small points, it was a fantastic experience with thoughtfully crafted dishes, a charming atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Excellent authentic Greek food, beautiful setting amidst trees and vegetation, also has a large dining hall with fireplace for colder weather, courteous staff and great prices!! What else can one ask for? The lamb is truly delicious, and so is the Greek salad, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend it!

The atmosphere is very nice. You have a choice of eating inside or outside in a pristine garden. The food and wine served was of very good quality and service was excellent.

From the moment we sat down until the final bite, everything flowed so well. Soil isn’t just a normal dinner, it’s an experience. We’ll definitely return the next time we’re in Athens.

We decided to treat ourselves to a Michelin starred restaurant during our stay in Athens and were not disappointed! The service was very attentive and the dishes were served at a good pace. The plating was beautifully done with care and the food itself was outstanding. Absolutely recommended for a special night out!

Soil truly embodies its name—outstanding experience definitely worthy of its Michelin status! I did the tasting menu and what stood out to me were the little details and personal touch—the chef meeting you on your way in and out, seeing fresh ingredients from the chef’s family farm, the little booklet of herbs you got to take home. The presentation and flavors were a 10/10. Even a humble tomato was elevated to perfection with watermelon-chili sorbet and a fresh sprig of basil you got to rub in your palms to soak up the experience. The shrimp with marigold and citrus was another standout. And both the pear and strawberry desserts were delicious. I loved the cute patio. We were visited by some Persian cats and even a kitten!

I've been to a bunch of different Michelin star restaurants and this is easily one of the best. The service, atmosphere and food were all excellent. I also learned that in Greece, it seems to be common to have a juice pairing and this is great for those that don't drink alcohol but don't want to miss out on a pairing. If you have 1 restaurant choice to make on your trip to Athens, I highly suggest you choose this one. Small note: during evenings, I would avoid sitting outside. There were a ton of mosquitoes when we went and we each had over a dozen bites after only 30 minutes. Luckily after that, they had a table inside for us as it would have been a lot worse if we continued to stay outside. It's a shame too as the outside setup is very beautiful and you can even spot a couple of cats while you eat.

The café is located in a fantastic spot with beautiful views of the bay, nestled in a peaceful residential area. While the menu isn’t extensive, the toasts served are simple yet delicious. Coffee comes with a small pitcher of water, adding a nice touch. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, and the staff is attentive, really making an effort to provide great service. I sat outside on the terrace where smoking is permitted, which was a nice option. Prices are reasonable, offering good value for the experience. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a quiet moment.

Traditional posh seaside Caffe in the Athenian Riviera. Great ice cream, good coffee and bar food. Enjoy your fredo cappuccino and watch the super yachts of the rich and famous arriving at the Astor Palace hotel, on the other side of the bay!

Aqua Marina puts you at the center of the energy in Vouliagmeni. Great food, top tier service, and an upscale environment will have you feeling lux.

Although this is not a modern fancy cafe-restaurant, it is worth visiting first a breakfast or an afternoon coffee overlooking Vouliagmeni bay. Try the home made cheese pie. The quality of coffee is moderate.

Aqua Marina is a place of childhood memories. We might be biased but their Chicago ice cream with vanilla is the best. For decades their food has tasted exactly the same in a very fond way. The outdoors seating is great. Say hi to the owner mr Vassilis from the Filippakis family!

The old man owner is so aggressive and hostile. My little brother went in to buy a bottle of water. The owner screamed at him and said “WHAT DO WE LOOK LIKE IN HERE? A KIOSK? GET OUT OF HERE!” And my little brother ran out. I don’t know about the food, but who cares. I’m sure it’s bad like the owner. How do you talk to children like that? Vile. Would never set foot.

The food here is really excellent. We went for a tasting menu (pre booked). We were there quite early (7pm) which may account for the lack of atmosphere. Servers were very friendly and attentive. Special shout out to the chef and server this evening who were amazing about accommodating my intolerance to chilli- the dishes were delicious and my husband and I both enjoyed them very much!!

This experience left a lot to be desired and it was saddening. From the moment when I booked a table it gave me expectations. I was celebrating my birthday, mentioned it in the reservation. When we get there, the table was alright but nothing was said, even after the dinner, there was no small candle with the dessert, nothing. Than, the drinks came, and everything was fine at that point and we chose the 95€ menu, ok, interesting. The bread comes and the amuse bouche, delicious, that i can't put any faults. But than comes the 1st course, and the 2nd and all the others, in a rush. The restaurant had 5 more tables, that were empty, completely empty, there was no need to rush us like they did. We were seeing the rush, so we decided to eat slower, and they came to ask me if I was "done with my food" while there was still half of the food there. Come on guys... Also, the portions were crazy small. Which i understand, and in terms of taste they were delicious, but it came out so fast, and the main dish was as small as the starter, dare I say even smaller (?). We spent 220€ on a dinner, we only ordered one cocktail each and one water, bc there was not even time for us to order more, and I didn't feel like the servers wanted to sell more. I was disappointed, on my birthday to say the least. And, this is being reviewed by someone that works in the fine dining industry, so it's not just bitterness, it's something that really was just "meh". I hope this can be something that you can read, and hopefully understand. I'll try coming back in the future to give this place another shot. Edit: also, the terrace is on a loud street, and if you are inside, on a hot summer and all the doors are open, you can listen to the gorgeous sounds of the traffic (scooters and cars) its amazing.

We went to Okio for dinner and had a fantastic experience. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented, with a nice balance of creativity and comfort. The service was friendly and attentive. It’s a place that makes you want to come back, and it has become one of my favorite restaurants in Athens!

My feeling going into these Michelin star restaurants in Athen is that the cook and waitress think so highly of themselves, and they have an attitude . Food wise , the fried chicken salad reminds me of those I got at 7/11 in Japan steak tartare has too much sauce. The atmosphere is strange as they kept on playing funking music

Excellent restaurant. Beautiful design. Wonderful staff. Disappointing meal, as a vegetarian: few options, and they wouldn’t allow alterations to any pizzas so couldn’t add cheese to the marinara pizza. The pasta dishes had options to add ingredients such as shrimp with a price given, so seems silly. I settled for the basic Margherita pizza. My friend’s pasta was tepid - but apparently delicious. €3 for chilli oil seems to be a thing in Athens. Highly recommended - unless you’re vegetarian.

Well , we had high expectations, but the food lacked a red thread. Undersalted and overpriced. They said it was courses to share. But presentation when sharing got messy and some of the flavourful (small amount) of sauces sat on the main plate and were not able to be transferred to the plates.

Food is really nice. Sourghdoug bread is delicious and their sandwiches are extremely tasty (thanks to kitchen staff). But holy… Waitresses are just so unpolite, and just cannot be less bothered about anything in their work. Tiny small request for anything, they give you the looks, tell you they cannot do, and especially they cannot do anything on Sundays as its busy, and just stop bugging them. Like where did you even find those girls working??? Never had such terrible attitude from any Greek person, and I have lived in Greece for 3 years.

Horrid experience!! Everything about this place is just bad. The interior design is good and inviting but service is shocking with bad attitude and prejudice from the waiters and manager. Broken, chipped cups. Racial profiling. Constant smirks and general disinterest.

This café is absolutely wonderful! The food is fresh, natural, healthy – and most importantly, incredibly delicious. Service is fast, attentive, and very friendly. It’s a popular spot, so finding a table during peak hours can sometimes be a challenge, but you can always grab your order to go and enjoy it in the park just across the street. The matcha latte is excellent. The Orange Blender is refreshing with just a subtle hint of ginger, while the Green Blender is more on the tangy side (a bit too much lime for my taste, but great if you like it sour). The Truffle Chicken Sandwich is a dream come true! We’ve tried almost every brunch dish here – and each one is better than the last. Highly recommended! 🌟

Great selection of traditional Afghan dishes, good service and food wasn’t hot enough but I believe that was because we were eating outside on a very cold day in November, Ashak dish was very nicely done, Montou was lacking slightly on the flavour side and Kabuli Palau was excellent. I do think the restaurant could do with a selection of more drinks e.g. fresh fruit juice to live up to the general standards in the Greek culture. Did not have the Afghan chai, many Afghans restaurants serves a green/cardamom tea usually after meal which this restaurant did not have to offer.

Great place to try Afghan food in Athens! The Kabuli Pulao (lamb with rice) was fantastic but the Bolani (fried pita stuffed with potato) was my favorite!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in Exarchia (Athens) serving food from Afghanistan. 😊 I really liked the outdoor seating area of the restaurant ... and some of the dishes I tasted were delicious. 😋 However, for somebody having enjoyed outstanding Afghanee home cooking (for a few years) I have to admit the rice dish with the lamb was disappointing! 🤔 The service is prompt and courteous and the prices very reasonable .... & .... it's a nice place to enjoy a meal with friends after a long walkabout in the Exarchia neighbourhood .... that is always a good idea! 👍😍👍😊👍

Incredible food, friendly service in a vibrant atmosphere. This small restaurant is without question the best we have visited in Athens. The Red Sea bream is incredible and the Yphes salad takes Greek salads to the next level. To finish, crème brûlée with everything - a taste of orange, touches of dark chocolate mousse and home made vanilla ice cream that has something extra in it…. Superb! This restaurant is a must visit.

This place has been my absolute favorite meal of our trip in Athens. It’s in an area with a lot less foot traffic so you feel like you have the whole area to yourself and can get away from it all. The food is absolutely amazing. The salad, bread and mushrooms were my amazing but the sauces and the chicken were mind blowing. Make sure you hit them up!

This place is overpriced for what it is. The food looks pretty and great on Instagram, but not much more. If you're an influencer, go right ahead. If you're a foodie, best avoid. My kale salad arrived drowning in vinegar. The Pirozhki tartare was completely unseasoned. So basically raw beef, a pickle, and egg yolk. The Moussaka dumpling was the best of a bad bunch, however once again while conceptually and visually good, it was severely lacking in the flavour department. The dumpling skins tasted doughy and raw - have they gone to gyoza school, I wonder? It didn't even taste steamed. And the tomato paste used in the sauce tasted like it was still raw and straight out of the can. If the prices were at 5-7 Euro per dish, I wouldn't complain this much, but it was €54.50, including a €12 glass of wine and €4 small bottle of sparkling water! So because of the price and what it was pretending to be (and it was not), it's a solid 2 stars from me.

Last dinner in Athens on Friday night with family aged 11 and 12. Sadly my kids like high end restaurants so this was their favourite. We enjoyed great service, the time to explain the dishes and experience. Good options for vegetarian / pescatarian. Cocktails were delicious. My only complaint was I received Prosecco in a wine glass. Other than that superb.

This was my second visit - I usually go to the sister restaurant Feedέλ Assador, as it's close to me. I know what to expect from these restaurants. Good atmosphere, great service, inspired food and cocktails. On my last visit there was a dish that was sub-par, which was unusual, this time though they got a 7 out of 7 for excellence. You really can't go wrong with any dish, from the soup and salad, to the piroski tartare and the beef cheeks. It's always delicious modern fusion takes on mostly greek dishes. The cocktails are as interesting - find the one that looks more to your style and give it a try. In general, it is probably better to go with a bigger company than 2 so you can try more dishes (the recommendation is 2/person to share, which works quite well - well, plus desert!).

It was pretty busy when we arrived, and we had to wait in line for a bit. A staff member eventually welcomed us and invited us in, but then disappeared into the crowd. I visited twice - once for lunch, another time for dinner - and enjoyed both experiences. The food was well seasoned and had great flavours, and the staff were friendly. I appreciated that a server gave me a heads up that the eel dish was served cold - it was a wonderful dish, but I was glad to know what to expect. I tried the meatballs, potato salad with mustard dressing, smoked eel from Anta, and aubergines & zucchini in Cappadocian sauce. All were very good. I didn't need a reservation for a solo late lunch, but I recommend a reservation for dinner.

If one ever needed a reminder that greek, turkish and perhaps other eastern mediterranean cuisines are related, a visit at Karamanlidika is that reminder. As a Turk myself, I found heaps of dishes that I know from home, and the next table was a central asian couple that was equally delighted. The place is in the cash&carry district of Athens, so it also caters for other food places, but also serves food. The queue outside tells you how famous it is. But beware: it is perhaps not the place for your average greeek food. The place is a shop for cold cuts, sausages, cheeses and condiments for all these, so the food is neatly centred around these. And delicious they are! Authentic mediterranenan Mezze served by friendly and competent staff. If you have been to Turkey to eat Mezze, you will not be disappointed here. An absolutely fantastic meal! The food quality here is exceptional, focusing on flavorful and high-quality ingredients. We particularly loved the traditional plates: the stuffed vine leaves were tender and savory, and the Saganaki was perfectly pan-fried. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. This was incredibly worth the wait and I would go back to Athens just for the rusk bread salad. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and feels like a home kitchen in old fashioned deli with Greek art and music adding to the vibe. All of the restaurant workers were extremely friendly and the food was exceptional. We ordered a catch of the day white grouper along with a fried calamari as an appetizer. Our stomachs were way too full for dessert so we just asked for the bill and the waiter brought us two small portions of cheese cake and 2 lemon shots. The cheesecake was one of the best I’ve ever had and I found the offer to be very thoughtful. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Tourist trap, we came here all the way just for the "best" mousakka in Athens based on Google reviews, apparently even won an award!! The mousakka had hardly any meat and was under-seasoned. The waiters are super nice though and prices are steep. If you're looking for the best mousakka, this is definitely not the place!

My favourite meal in Athens and one of my favourite meals ever. Everything we had was just such good quality. We had really friendly service and the waiters were confident to give recommendations as the food quality was so good. They had awards on the walls and I can see why! We really enjoyed this restaurant -- I'm a huge fan of traditional Greek food and my friend enjoyed trying the mezze dishes. Dolmadakia were delicious, with a nice taste of pomegranate. Mushrooms too were very tasty. The gyros plate is huge! It was to our chagrin that we didn't have enough room to put all that away, but immense value for money. Staff are very friendly and amenable.

The Greco’s Project is a go-to spot for some delicious Greek food. The pita bread is perfectly grilled, and both the chicken gyros and souvlaki are seasoned just right. The zucchini sticks were pretty tasty too. The food is amazing, and the portions are huge, which is super satisfying. The flavors are out of this world, all at a really reasonable price. The complimentary orange cake dessert? So good! The Greek coffee with liqueur was a bit too strong for my taste, though. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. Definitely recommend it if you’re craving a great meal!

It was 9PM and we’d just come from the airport and all we could think about was food. Thank goodness they serve fast! Their crunchy feta cheese and Picanha steak were to die for. I still dream about that feta cheese. It was so good. And the ambience provided a calm and relaxing atmosphere after all that conundrum at the airport. Super cute restaurant in Athens 🇬🇷 They serve delicious local Greek food! As a Turkish person (we have a very similar cuisine), I absolutely loved the dishes. I had kebab with yogurt and sauce — it was amazing! The dessert was also great 🍰 Super friendly staff and cozy atmosphere!

I had a great overall experience at this cozy spot in Greece. I started with a Greek coffee, which was really good—rich, strong, and m reminded me of Egyptian or Turkish coffee. For starters, I had the fried cheese bites. Most of them were delicious, crispy on the outside with gooey cheese inside, but one was still partially frozen in the center and a few had a slightly bitter, undercooked doughy taste. For my main, I went with the pork gyro platter, which came with pita and potatoes. The pork was flavorful but a bit dry and not hot enough. I found myself wanting a bit more pita to go with it. The white dipping sauce on the side was creamy and flavorful, a perfect match for the meat, definitely the highlight of the plate. The service was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating throughout the meal, which really added to the experience. At the end, they brought out a free dessert—a soft, fragrant orange cake with cinnamon that was absolutely amazing and easily my favorite part of the meal. That said, the restaurant does strike me as being geared more toward tourists, likely due to its location and a menu that is partly ready-made or pre-frozen. While that doesn’t take away from the overall enjoyment, it’s something to keep in mind. I’m giving it four stars because while the food and service were very enjoyable, there were a couple of small execution issues. Still, I’d happily return for the coffee and cake.

I loved this place, even on a hot day the garden was cool and covered in shade from the vines growing overhead. Fairy lights and stone walls added to a great atmosphere. And the food... it was very tasty and fresh. Squid was exquisite: fresh, soft and only dusted in flour as opposed to heavy battered oily and rubbery thing you find in some places. And you get the whole plate of just squid and lemon, no silly plate fillers.

I had some lunch here today and loved the Musakhan and chicken salad. The musakhan was delicious with little taste of cinnamon and I just loved it! The service was fast and attentive. My husband loved the complimentary desert - some traditional cakes very much. Loved the lights and vibes on the ceiling thus would love to come back here for dinner again.

Started out with the halloumi, which was great. Also got the zucchini, which was soggy. Would not recommend. For our main course we got the chicken souvlaki which was nice and juicy with a good flavor. We also got Moussaka, which I would not recommend. The dessert was complimentary, and it was good. It tasted like some kind of orange breaded dessert. I liked it. Overall not a bad place to grab some food, if you’re in the area.

The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. We ordered a lot of meat and a Greek salad — the portions were huge! The meat platter was definitely enough for four people, and we even took some home. The staff was friendly, but at the beginning it took quite a while before we were seated, which was a bit confusing. At the end, they brought us a complimentary dessert, which was delicious, such a nice gesture! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Efcharis Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and friendly service, but the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. The dishes looked good but lacked strong flavor, and overall the taste was a bit underwhelming compared to other spots nearby. It’s also on the pricey side for what you get, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Not a bad place to sit and enjoy the area, but the food could definitely be more flavorful and better value for the price.

The food is so amazing here we went to eat two days in a row and we stuffed or face so fast I only took one picture 😂. They have a complimentary bread and olive paste for starters and amazing portocalopita desert. The waiters are very attentive and the place is almost always full. You must try this place!

This place is incredible! The service is very genuine and welcoming, but the food is exceptional. We walked in off of the street noticing a small sign that said “gluten free” thinking that there would be some gluten free options available- but we did not expect to have everything on the menu gluten free! Everything was exceptional, and my husband who doesn’t have any dietary restrictions confirmed that the moussaka, spinach pie and baklava tasted just as delicious as beautifully home made regular versions! Will be recommending this place to all of my friends.

Food: The food my group got was verified and some was definitely better than others. Over all, I would give the food a 4 stars because each had its own charm, even if it might not have satisfied my own taste buds. Over all, I loved most of the food. Service: 5 out of 5 stars! I loved the service from the waiters. They were all smiling and very happy to comply with our requests. They answered our questions as well, which is another plus. Atmosphere: another 5 out of 5 stars!!! The music was quite loud, but everything else was incredible. The decorations, the tables, the plates, everything else was a wonderful experience! The color palette was great to look at and complimented everything around us. Total: 4.5 Stars!

Fabulous dinner spot, has a really great vibe both indoors and outdoors. Friendly staff and delicious food. Must try the traditional Moussaka. Have been coming for many years (since 2012!) it has changed a lot but the quality has stayed the same.

The food was tasty. However, the lamb meat had some tough parts and although the flavor was really good it wasn't great. The gyros was average, not bad and the hummus was good. Nice place overall all

For a tourist restaurant this place really delivered. The staff was friendly and helpful navigating our dietary restrictions. We were so relieved to be able to choose from so many gluten free options including spinach pie and moussaka!

The food was absolutely delicious, with very generous portions. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. I could come back here anytime just for the Arcadia Salad — the hummus was divine, and the Archaic Moussaka was truly special!

Maiandros is a great place to try authentic Greek dishes. Our orders arrived very quickly, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The zucchini dish was honestly the best I’ve ever had absolutely delicious! Prices are quite reasonable too. Highly recommended for both the quality of food and the warm service.

Lovely restaurant, but I can’t agree with the many 5 star reviews. We had a great evening, but compared to the many other restaurants we’ve been, Maiandros didn’t stand out. The Moussaka was alright, good but nothing out of the ordinary. The chefs special with chicken was a big disappointment: just some pieces of chicken in a creamy sauce with some potato chips. It really felt like a low effort dish, so I was surprised it’s called a chef special. Also very pricy for what you get. The stifado was lovely! Al be it with a bit too many onions and almost no meat. But definitely tasty! We had a lovely evening and the food was good - But I wouldn’t be able to rate it 5 stars.

We had a very good dining experience at this restaurant. We came in at 10 PM and sat on the first floor, so there were no view or performances, which was not a problem because the quality of food is a priority. The waiters were very nice and provided great recommendations. To start the meal, they gave us some free breadsticks with this amazing olive spread, and free chocolate mousse for desert at the end. We really enjoyed the beef stifado as the meat was tender and the baby onions were cooked to perfection!

It’s an okay place, however, it’s definitely not above 4* rating restaurant. Seems overall Greek restaurants have a higher rating similar to Turkey :) Service was good. Everything was quite fast at lunch but the place was more than half empty.

We took the mix of cold appetisers. Way too much vinegar. Would not recommend. The greek salad was also super basic. Wouldn’t take again. The eggplant hot appetiser was simple but nice in flavour. They give chocolate muss in the end which might give the good review score. It was also super loud there from the street.

This is near the famous Monasteraki area of Athens so there is no shortage of people, tourists, pigeons, and cats. Considering so many options for good Greek food in Athens, The Birthplace of Bureaucracy, this restaurant was packed with people when many others were not. I noticed this and said as we passed by, “ this place must be good.” They catered to my 92 year old father as well with no issues to the slow movement of such an aged body, so I was thankful for that. Our lunch/dinner consisted of saganaki, fried halloumi, zucchini fritters, village salad, bread with olive paste, tender beef (kokkinisto)w potatoes, sardines, grape leaves. Everything was fresh and tasty and served w lemon. Vasili, the host, was so gracious, even asked my name (prob bc I spoke Greek w an accent) and accommodated my request to be away from the commotion, if possible. All in all, a pleasant way to satisfy huge appetites from walking all over the Acropolis, Plaka, and Monasteraki area. Highly recommend.

Good food, nice location and authentic flavours. My absolute favourite was the fried breaded feta cheese with honey and black sesame. I almost ate my colleague's portion as well 😉 Tip: if you come by taxi, you'll have to walk a bit given the narrow streets

Amazing place for food. We went for dinner. We started with startes where so good. Do try these. We had cheese filled mushrooms. Grilled.Halloumi (with some nice herbs and tamatoes) and crispy bread, moussaka(very big portion) and lemonade. For dessert , we tried greek dessert kadifi with cream! Great ambience! Amazing staff! Hospitality is really good. Must go. So in the centre.

Super dinner at Oineas, nice and quiet in November, so great service and recommendations for the lamb shank, and sirloin steak, absolutely fabulous, house red wine is great, attention to detail and customer service excellent. The steak in white wine and Rosemary wins ! 😋

Athens got a lot of amazing places to eat, this unfortunately isn't one of them. The calamari was over cooked, the mosaka was insipid and everything else was just OK. I'd go to a different place next time from the endless number of places in the streets around.

Indian Haveli, situated near the Acropolis in Athens. It is just 3 minutes walking distance from the Acropoli Metro station. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu, featuring a range of dishes from rich curries to flavorful tandoori items (Both veg and Non-veg) within a very reasonable price range. We tried Plain Rice, Dal Tarka, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Fried rice, Kadhai Chicken, and Keema Naan. The tastes of the foods were good and the spice levels of gravies were moderate but a little more oily. The Keema Naan was mediocre. It has a Bar along with the restaurant. The ambiance is cozy, with traditional Indian decor. The servers were really helpful and chatty. They provide home/Hotel delivery services as well.

The food was absolutely incredible and the service was warm and friendly. Everything was spotless. We’re from Germany and have tried many Indian restaurants, but this one in Athens truly stands out and will stay in our memory. As a big Bollywood fan, I also loved the Indian music and the beautiful décor—it all felt perfect and made us feel very comfortable. We’ll miss it a lot. And don’t leave without trying the naan bread—it’s a must!

Long Waits, Cold Naan, Missed the Mark We ate at Indian Haveli in Athens and had a very mixed experience. Service was extremely slow—my mom ordered a dish that we were told would take 30 minutes, which was fine, but in the end her food arrived in about 15–20 minutes, while the rest of our meals didn’t come out for 40 minutes. By the time her plate was nearly finished, we were still waiting on our naan bread. And when it finally arrived, it wasn’t good and was already cool. The chicken pakora was okay, though not as flavorful as versions I’ve had at other Indian restaurants. The mixed appetizer came with three sauces, but one had crushed mango seed in it—which I bit into, and it hurt my teeth. Definitely something the kitchen should be more careful with. I also wish they’d ask how spicy you want your food. The dishes came out on the spicier side, and while I can handle heat, it was more than I would’ve preferred. Overall, the food had some good elements, but with the slow service, uneven quality, and details like cold naan, I can only give this place 3 stars.

One of the best places to enjoy Jain Indian food in Athens! Delicious, fresh, and authentic Indian flavors with a wonderful ambiance. Sharry was extremely helpful and made our visit even better. Excellent service and highly recommended for anyone visiting Greece.

The food was amazing! I ordered the prawns curry, garlic naan, veggie samosas, and veggie biryani. Omg!! Everything was so flavorful and filling. The service was great. Would definitely come back!

It was also a bit inconvenient that the drinks arrived just before the food. We kindly suggest reviewing the service to enhance the overall dining experience. Thes "Greek Creative Cuisine" just got featured in the Trip Advisor 2024 Travellers’ Choice Awards, so we had to check it out when we were in Athens. We had dinner there and really liked most of the dishes, though some were hit or miss. The Greek salad was super tasty, but the seafood pasta didn’t impress us—just lacked flavor. The menu has a modern Greek vibe with some creative twists. The staff were really nice. They took time to explain each dish and made sure to check on us throughout the meal. They were also great at suggesting the perfect wine to go with our food. But I should mention, there was an hour wait. Make sure to get a reservation if you’re going. The place is clean and has a chill vibe, with some outdoor seating available. Overall, it was a lovely experience!

Probably one of the best dining experiences of my life. For starters, we had the pita, potatoes, and a Greek salad. The potatoes and Greek salad are mind blowing. For my main course, I had the Mousaka. Again, words won’t do it justice. The wine was phenomenal as well. We went with a Greek varietal referred to us by our waiter. So complex and perfect compliment to the food. 5/5

The most perfect date night we had here when visiting Athens. We were SO looked after by the staff I can’t comment how friendly, accommodating and lovely they were. The food was absolutely incredible. We ate loads and just wanted more! Can highly recommend to come here and book a table is a must!

While traditional Greek dishes are on the menu, their “creative cuisine” approach adds clever twists that elevate every bite to something extraordinary. The staff was warm and attentive, and the manager’s hospitality made us feel truly welcome. I’m baffled as to why Thes hasn’t clinched a perfect 5.0 rating. We had an amazing dinner out at Thes — a highlight of our visit to Athens!! Sitting outside on the bustling street was so fun, all the dishes were amazing, and the service was top notch. We felt very taken care of and enjoyed everything we ordered. Plus who doesn’t love a surprise free aperitif to close out!

The gent at front of house (as it were) sold this to us as the best view in Athens. Given that there ls nowhere to eat on top of the Acropolis, he may well be right. My moussaka was tasty; and I'm reliably informed that the gyros (as my daughter put it, 'it comes deconstructed' - but I suspect this is probably normal!) and the Greek salad were also very good. Enjoyable watching the world go by too, with the backdrop of Parthenon and Agora.

Good food, great views of the Erecthion. Staff were very friendly and treated me very well. It was a great intro to my first time in Greece especially Athens. Lots of choices and food. They had misters which kept it a little on the cooler and more pleasant. (Super hot in Athens in August). I walked by a couple days later they actually remembered me.

Absolutely outstanding experience! My husband and I visited 3 times during our time in Athens during our honeymoon to Greece in September 2024. Our waiter, George, embodies Greek hospitality and kindness. He provided the best service to us! We actually rearranged our last hotel stay for our last night in Athens to go back and visit one last time for dinner. The view is wonderful, the food is fresh, filling, delicious and very reasonably priced; the complimentary mulled wine (I cannot remember what it was called) at the end of the meal was perfection! Its been 6 months so we came home and we still talk about Diodos regularly! The zucchini fritters, stuffed peppers and tomatoes and the chicken souvlaki are highly recommended!

I have been there twice. One for our long period trip in Athens and one for transfer. Very good location and food. The three dishes in picture are highly recommended!

Great service,friendly staff! It made our lunch much enjoyable. Center location hence not cheap but I am just an easter european 🤣 Worth every penny. Great view at the Acropolis. Metro/Suburban is a little annoying but after a beer couldn't care less.

We stayed nearby and came here for dinner. Good restaurant. In the beginning, pieces of breads, fried with olive oil were served. We took orange juice and beer. We added chicken fillet and greek salads wirh chicken souvlaki. Food was good and tasty. We enjoyed our dinner.
