One of a few sourdough bakeries to find in Athens. An old-school style store, it doesn't look fancy or luxury like bakeries around Syntagma, but for sure you have a nice experience. I always have sugar surge and dried throat with typical bread, that's why it's worth a long way to come here and try their products. The price may be a bit higher than others, but compared to its quality, don't bother.

WHAT A PHENOMENAL SPOT! Everything we had was so fresh and the service was very attentive. The price was also very good for everything we got. No space to eat, so it’s more a take-away type of situation with this bakery.

The range of products is staggering, breads, sandwiches, rolls, pies, tarts, croissants, cookies, sweet or savory, you name it. We couldn’t possibly try everything but surely they all look delish. The zucchini tart, sesame raisin roll and pistachio cranberry dingy were inhaled and down the hatch instantly. This place is wildly popular. The small corner store has a lot of charms and personalities with whimsical wall hangings. Always ppl queuing up. I wished I had more time to sample everything.

This place was a gem!! The owners are so incredibly kind - my husband and I were looking for a certain pastry and they went out of their way to check on the baking time and even told us to take our other items (without even paying) and walk around then come back and pay for everything when the pastry was done baking. Genuine kindness, a cute atmosphere, and FRESH high quality goods. Definitely recommend giving them a visit :)

The most wonderful bakery. I ate here every morning of my trip with my girlfriend. Their breakfast pies are the best I have ever had and their traditional pastries are some of the best flavors I have ever had. I have travelled all through Europe in my life eating the incredible cuisine and this could be the best bakery anywhere! The people are so kind, I wish I could bring them home with me!

The BEST bakery in Athens. The owner was so sweet. We came in to get pastries to go and she gave us wonderful suggestions, wrapped them beautifully, and gave us plenty of samples to go. So delicious and the owner is as sweet as her pastries!

The lady who works there is really nice and it is well maintained bakery. Area was clean and had bunch of varieties. We bought baklava from there, they were delicious !!!!! She even gave us different kind of baklava to try, both of them were great.

Shop owner was super nice and helped us put together boxes of treats to bring back. He mentioned that because they used honey, the sweets/desserts were good for 10 days to a month! He even put in an extra layer of plastic wrap to make sure it wouldn’t leak. Perfect for bringing back as souvenirs.

Two options available today: traditional and “wedding” type (both are filo dough with syrup, no nuts) 25 euros per kilo of baklava UPDATE: 1. the careful wrapping helped the baklava stay perfectly intact in my carry on 2. The wedding type has a very light orange flavor to it and is individually wrapped so I prefer that 3. I bought another tray of traditional baklava at another bakery with great reviews, only because I wanted some baklava with pistachios to share with my family. While that baklava had pistachios, the quality and taste just cannot compare to the ones I got from Mitropolitikon. 4. The syrup is thick without being overwhelmingly sweet, which makes transporting the baklava a lot easier. The aforementioned pistachios baklava’s thinner syrup made it through the packaging and plastic bag and almost got everywhere in my carry on.

Amazing and delicious little shop! The owner is so helpful for picking out morsels. She helped us choose from traditional desserts to more experimental ones. Everything was tasty and felt homemade- tons of flavor and richness.

The only place in the center we go for coffee and dessert. The two girls who are making them, they don’t just execute a recipe, they make art! ❤️ One of them is an expert in making vegan choices absolutely delicious. Well done! It’s a must if you visit Athens.

This is such a great coffee spot! Off the main road from the busy Syntagma Square, it has room to breathe and sit. We arrived at 10 am to find it without customers and were worried it might be a tourist trap, but decided based on high ratings that we’d risk it. It is absolutely no trap! The owner was working and she was so kind and welcoming. The shop has a vinyl record player playing relaxing music and the desserts are both delicious and beautiful. I ordered a freddo espresso (espresso over ice) and it was rich, medium-high acidity with a chocolatey after taste. My fiancé ordered a cold brew which the owner told us is left to brew over 12 hours each night and my fiancé said it was also very good. We also got a large chocolate chip cookie to go which had such large chunks of chocolate in it! The cookie dough itself was a shortbread like consistency with a buttery taste and a soft center and perfectly crispy edges. A delicious cookie to be sure! This place is a 10/10 for us and we’d recommend anyone looking for good coffee come to try it!

What a wonderful spot! I’m so glad we found such a calm and charming place right in the middle of a busy area. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, the service is excellent, and the coffee is absolutely amazing. We also tried one of their exclusive desserts — the chocolate mousse — and it was simply divine. So delicate, perfectly balanced, and a real treat for any chocolate lover. The presentation was beautiful too, with unique cups and great attention to detail. A beautifully decorated street with Halloween as theme for this time of the year. They have different themes thought the year. It was really nice to see. It can get busy with tourists. The waiters were friendly and also funny. Eating and drinking here can be more expensive than other places.

Me and my wife went a few days back, and had one of the best servers we could’ve asked for (shoutout to Filip!). Everything was so theatrical and Halloween-themed, and the coffees were great too! Most certainly recommend this experience to any visitors to Athens.

The concept and decorations of the place are quite nice, but I can't say the same about the taste. The desserts are full of whipped cream and sugar, but they're not delicious. There's a lot of decoration inside, and if possible, I recommend experiencing the interior. The tables and chairs are also quite impressive.

This is a sight to see! So beautiful and they decorate is seasonally. The entire street is decorated. We went in October and it was Halloween themed. We did not eat at the restaurant itself but it seemed very busy. Very kid friendly.

A magical spot in Athens to come with children a first date or as a traveller visiting Athens. I highly recommend visiting Little Kook just for the fascinating decor and releasing yourself for an experience out of a fairy tail. Perfect traditional sweets and perfect espresso! Each dessert is 6 euros and it is more than enough for two. But, we couldn’t resist so we took each one and 1 espresso macchiato; all together 15 euros. It is worth every cent. Even though I took custard cake (galaktoboureko or something like that), I would say the other one with kataif and walnuts is better.

We stopped off for lunch prior to catching our ferry. The food was delicious. I had a lovely souvlaki while my husband had the sardines. Prices were very reasonable and service excellent. Would definitely stop off there again.

You can add a various choices of chocolate or ice cream and topings. The taste is really great and the prices are normal. If you are in the center don’t miss it. Its one of the best places for having a sweet in the center of Athens.

So delicious… had the caramel & bitter chocolate (wasn’t bitter). A small one is more than enough, definitely had a sugar high. It was a like a really high end old school pudding. Pistachio eclair was also really good.

Choureal brings a different approach to profiterole as they let you personalize it according to your taste with various cream alternatives, toppings and garnishes. I opted for pistachio and craft bitter bio as cream and raspberry and strawberry as toppings. It turned out really delicious. While the coffee was not perfect, it still was good enough when enjoyed with profiteroles. The staff is very understanding and they patiently assist with your questions. While there is no seating area inside, there are a couple of tables outside and we were lucky enough to find a table to be seated.

On one of the busiest streets of Athens, Ermou Street, there’s a place where you can have your own profiteroles made. I tried mine with milk chocolate and pistachio, and I really liked it. Highly recommend to everyone!

The best profiterole in Athens! I've tried it 4 years ago too and it's still delicious and amazing!!! This time I tried pistachio and white chocolate with butter biscuit as topping and the flavour was to die for! I also sat down on the side bar outside and they brought me a glass of tap water too which I didn't expect. Very informative and kind staff. The price of 4.40€ is so reasonable as well. Worth it so much!!!!

The cheese cake was the best that I have eaten my hole life. You should definitely give the shop a try. Overoll catches your eye as if it's a hip bakery in New York City. With an open wall and an array of croissants, it's worth a visit. Service is excellent and despite a line, your order comes out quickly. My single shot latte was great and the pistachio croissant was warm and full of flavor.

Overoll is an absolute gem! The place is spotless, bright, and beautifully designed. The staff are friendly and the service is quick and pleasant. The croissants are simply next level perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and buttery inside. You can taste the freshness in every bite! This review is based solely on the lemon cake that was recommended to us by the shop attendant. They said it is their best selling cake and after trying it, they must have lied. It is truly one of the worst cakes we have ever had; it was: 1. Too lemony 2. Too soggy 3. Too bitter (to the point of being inedible) The slices cut in the photo were not eaten, only bitten and quickly thrown away. I probably wouldn't leave a review even though the cake was egregiously bad and we were instructed to get it, but at €30 it is just ridiculous and my sense of injustice has lasted long enough to write this review. Though the place is quite pretentious, I would try other things in the future and would modify this review if I do.

We flew Aegean air and were given a chocolate with our meal. It tasted better than my Godiva. We looked up the company and found they were in Greece so we went there. They had so many tasty choices. They don't ship and they only had that one store. So we bought a chocolate bar home. It was well worth the trip.

I am obsessed with this pastry shop!! Everything is just made to perfection that it’s hard not to get addicted. My current goal is to taste everything they have to offer which is difficult because I also love everything else that I’ve tasted. Sweetness is just right that it leaves you craving for more. Such a lovely high end bakery! The staff were so friendly and helpful in explaining different easter cookies, breads and chocolate eggs. We got the last Tsoureki and it looks absolutely heavenly! Can’t wait to try it tomorrow with my family for Easter. I’ll definitely come back to try their chocolates and pastries in the future. I only went for an afternoon coffee so I can't comment on the food. The waiter did attempt to push the menu on us though. It cost €4 for an Americano. Is that overpriced? It didn't taste like a €4 coffee. If I had walked a little further I could have bought a coffee for €1.90 instead. Then the waiter asked for a tip. For what? I didn't tip him.

I’ve been multiple time to this place and like it a lot. As French living in Greece, I’ll go to have a bistro ambiance. It’s pricey, the food is a mix of French-Greek culture. When are you going to re-open ? I’m not going home soon

This isn’t your traditional review but I needed to leave a review for the wonderful staff here at Bon Bon Fait Maison L'Atelier. I was unfortunately pickpocketed whilst out on the streets in Athens and was extremely stressed and upset about the situation. By some miracle, the staff here happened upon my wallet and went out of their way to look for me on Instagram to return my wallet back to me. Unfortunately, cash was taken but all my cards were still in tact (which was more my concern anyways). Amazing service and deliciously gluten free! I am also dairy free so I messaged via insta to enquire if they had options and they did and I’m so glad I managed to visit on my last trip to Athens! Dairy free options both sweet and savoury, I went for the apple pie which was amazing, cinnamon sugar donut (I mean omg a gluten free donut that tastes like a proper donut). And a loaf of sourdough bread 🙌 staff were super helpful and prices were fair

This is a 100% gluten free bakery. If you depend on a gluten free diet this is the place to be in Athens. We went there for four consecutive days and tried almost every product. Everything was delicious and we can highly recommend this bakery.

We had the most amazing pastries and coffee in this patisserie! Alex showed us the greatest hospitality from the beginning til the end. My friend tried the freddo cappuccino for the first time and found it too strong for her, and Alex made a whole new drink for her. The pastries were so delicious and buttery- truly the best croissant you can get this side of paris. We really appreciate the great service and we would return in a heartbeat.

We visited during noon. The waitress was friendly and she kindly explained everything. We had a few pastries that were good. The almond croissant was amazing. And i think it was the best coffee that i have ever had in Athens. A bit on the expensive side.

Speaking as someone who's eaten a croissant at one of France's best bakeries, it definitely rivals the French croissant. If you arrive by 2:00 PM, you'll have a chance to try one of their limited selections of pistachio eclairs. I think the pistachio eclair is the best I've ever had. I was filled with tears of joy while eating it.

Delicious pastries and coffee but very cold and impersonal service from staff. Not very welcoming, no smile, bare minimum talking. In fact the staff walked away as we were going to ask for a table for 4, instead of welcoming us. Bad first impression but we will be back as the pastries are delicious. Extended review: now just checked the other reviews and all the negatives are about the staff. Can only agree sadly, shame as this place could be amazing with the right people in place.

If you are looking for a place for breakfast and you can reach this place then DO IT… simply awesome sandwiches and amazing breads… loved everything that we ordered here and it was really filling as well… will try going again before we leaves Athens as I still have few items left here that I would like to experience. Also great Vegetarian choices available here which was great for our family …loved the avocado toast that had fresh avocado and eggs with their awesome bread.. and all of this was much reasonable cost wise as well!!! Limited space to dine in so most people were taking out but you can stand around and eat.. overall a must try if you are in the area.

If you love bakeries, go to this one. It's in a neighborhood filled with history, art, and local shops. The bakery itself is small, but beautifully designed with a few seats inside along the window and outside also along the window. (Different windows to prevent staring at a stranger while eating.) Despite a consistent line, staff were helpful, patient, and efficient. Unlike other bakeries that focus on sweet pastries, this spot is known for their bread and sandwiches. I enjoyed the turkey with tahini sandwich. Their iced latte was also very refreshing! They even asked me how sweet I wanted it when I replied "yes" to sugar.

Profiterole perfection ! Mon Chou is an absolute love (from the first moment). Their profiteroles are next-level—light, fresh, and filled with the most delicious cream, all topped with velvety chocolate that melts in your mouth. Every bite feels like a little celebration! What makes the experience even better is the woman working there, Beata; She’s super approachable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the desserts. My all-time favorite Profiterole in town !

Good profiteroles, fresh and with great cream. Actually... So great that I'd rather have it without the chocolate (we were given a couple of bites while it was getting prepared)! Very subjective as I generally like cream, the taste of the profiteroles is great but was missing the fantastic element I thought I'd get. That said I've heard good things from many people and my expectations were high. Still worth visiting and trying their products.

Their chocolate croissant was so different than what I was expecting and than any croissant I’ve had before. It wasn’t flaky at all, it wasn’t dry at all and it was a bit wet but it tasted great!

We only booked a day room for our last day in Athens, and it provided everything we needed. The room was okay, had air conditioning (although it was weak, but it made the room definitely cooler and more comfortable than the outside temperature). The bathtub was leaking a little, but it wasn't a huge issue. The location of the hotel is great - close to metro station and will make it easy for you to tourist around. As there's no 24-hour reception, you might need to wait a bit at the door when you get there. After all, you get what you pay for and this offers good value for the price.

The hotel lobby's curtains look like they haven't been clean for a long time. The air conditioning is not working in the room so we end up open all the windows but that invite unwated traffic noises all night. There is no holder for the handheld showerhead. The staff are friendly but let down by the physical condition of the hotel.

Hotel is not situated in a desirable area of Athens. Very rude staff lady working at the front. We had booked a family room and she forced us into getting another room. If youre here for a short stay or just for the day, awaiting your cruise, try to find another hotel!! Dirty mattresses, had red stains all over them.

This is the worst hotel in the world. I was supposed to stay one night but I couldn’t because this hotel is horrible. Nothing worked, air conditioning was broken, safe box didn’t work, the bathroom had a leak in the ceiling and if you go out you must leave the room key. But the worst of all was the owner or the manager, a rude man. He insulted me and almost hit me because I told him the safe box was not working so I couldn’t leave the room keys. I should have reported him to the police but I didn’t have enough time to do it cause I had a flight next morning. Please don’t stay in this hotel!!!! The owner/manager is very dangerous

We stayed in the hotel for 7 nights. The hotel has a wonderful sphere. Our room wasn't big, but cozy, with lovely interior details. There was a bathtub in the bathroom, of a very comfortable shape. A small mini-fridge, so we could keep there berries and yogurt. A lovely balcony with 2 chairs. Comfortable mattresses on old stile beds, sleeping there was nice. Air-co worked properly. Wi-fi worked perfectly everywhere. The owners/ personnel are friendly and helpful. After mentioning that I'd like to have tea in the room, the lady owner suggested to lend me a kettle for the room, and she lent us also a knife. I felt there at home, and would stay there again.

The coffee was great (although a bit pricey) but I expected more from the pastry. I got the pistachio croissant roll and it wasn't that flaky like you'd expect from a trendy café of this sort. There's a good variety of both savoury and sweet bites. There are plenty of tables outside and it's a quiet street so it's nice for a quick stop to recharge.

Perfect place for breakfast, coffee, pastries and some great conversation. Nice dining out front so you can people watch. These guys were so nice! We just got four coffees and they cut up some lemon cake (on the house). Gotta love Greece!

Just around the corner from our accommodations, we stopped by Monokeros for a quick breakfast and coffee this morning. Having worked at multiple bakeries back at home, I was excited to try their offerings! I’m not being hyperbolic when I say that these were the best pastries I’ve ever had. My husband and I ordered three different items and all of them were absolutely mouthwatering. I’m so glad we got a loaf of sourdough to enjoy for breakfast throughout the week! We were also pleasantly surprised that the coffee was the best we’ve had in Athens thus far. Great food, friendly service – all around, Monokeros is a must-go!

Beautiful and attractive concept with multiple artisanal sourdough freshly baked bread, cardamon, choco buns, croissant, cakes, sandwiches and coffee served by a welcoming staff, the only missing star is for the Nutella in the choco bun instead of a good dark choco melted within the baking process.

An absolute gem! The bread is amazing; the "μοναστηριακό" is a must, as well as the sourdough. It is always very fresh and you can tell that when passing by early in the morning, when they're baking it and it smells fantastic. The only downside is that there is limited produce (as there should be, given the freshness) and you may not find the bread you were looking for.. ..but you won't leave empty-handed. The pastries are also of the highest quality, and there's large variety from bagels and sandwiches, to croissants and cinnamon rolls. Lastly, whenever I happen to swing by, I always grab a coffee. It is very tasty, the quality is very good, and fairly priced. The staff and owner are always very polite and friendly, and happy to chat or share advise on how to best preserve the bread (wrapped in a towel and out of the fridge).

It’s easily amongst my favorite bakeries in the world, not just for the excellent baked goods but also their top tier coffee. It has exceptional character, with little details in the design that make it stand out even more in an appealing and alluring way. The music, which changes in genre from day to day, is almost like an employee itself…I’ve heard everything from downtempo, late 80’s/early 90’s west coast hip hop, grunge, and new-wave.

Delicious, great service, excellent coffee, they know what they’re doing. The price is more than justified the quality of the product and the rent in this area. Some extra outdoor shade would be nice.

Horrible area, read through which areas in Athens you should avoid, Omonia is one of them. The area is trashy, dirty and lot of homeless people. It doesn't feels safe when it is dark, and it's absolutely not a nice area for your holiday. The hotel itself was quite okay, the breakfast was nothing special but works when we just stayed one night. Considering the area I advise everyone to stay away.

The hotel is very nice and well located. There are a lot of shops nearby. You can do everything by walking. The personal is very nice, I recommend.

Great place to stay on a budget

The room is extremely cramped, with a bathroom sink that is uncomfortably small. The elevator is also inadequate; it can barely fit two people with carry-on luggage. The breakfast is consistently subpar and lacks variety. Moreover, the hotel is situated just a few meters from a garden where users indiscriminately leave syringes on the street. While the service is commendable and welcoming, the safety concerns at night are significant, especially given its proximity to one of the most dangerous streets in Athens.

We’d heard this place had good dessert in Athens so we had to try for the sweet tooth that we have. And the place did not disappoint us at all! What amazing variety of sweets and desserts they’ve got and we bought the sweet of the Lav cake which was loaded with melted chocolate. We loved it extremely! We did a take away and the service was so quick, it hardly took them 30 seconds to pack it for us. Definitely going to go back after each of my meals to try different desserts here.

This dessert place is a true gem for anyone with a sweet tooth! 🍫The chocolate pie is simply divine — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. Definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. 🍰The San Sebastián cheesecake with forest fruits is also a highlight: creamy, slightly tangy, and beautifully paired with the freshness of the berries. 🥮 We also tried the tiramisu, which was decent but not on the same level as the other desserts. It was missing that deep coffee flavor that makes tiramisu special, and the cream didn’t quite have the authentic texture or taste. Still, for the chocolate pie and cheesecake alone, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Nancy’s Sweet Home is a dessert lover’s dream! The cakes and pastries are absolutely delicious — rich, fresh, and beautifully made. The place has a cozy, quirky vibe, and it's right in the heart of Psirri — perfect for a sweet break while exploring. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick even though it was busy. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Athens and craving something sweet!

Not my finest photos, but the taste was amazing. Be warned, these are very sweet but extremely tasty. The chocolate cake was by far the star of my desserts. The ice cream that came with it was great too. Slightly on the pricier side for desserts you can get in Athens, but worth it for at least once, and for the portion size!!

A place where someone can have lots of choices to satisfy his appetite for sweets. The spot is great and its in the “Platia of Psiri”. The are alot of tables so will probably find and empty spot to sit. The sweets now are pretty good with some of them really tasteful. Give it a try.

Unfortunately I would not recommend. I has the brioche and it was served cold and almost no pesto inside. The baklava was ok, but almost no nuts inside. Just two waiters to serve a lot of tables outside, which was almost cruel with them.

We discovered this place during its Pirates of the Caribbean and One Piece theme—great experience! We didn’t realize the themes rotate, so we’ll definitely be back. The menu is extensive, but we sampled what we could and enjoyed it.

It's really nice to go every once in a while to make your evenings with friends or whatever extra special and memorable. Prices are bit on the high end but the menu has a huge variety and quality is pretty good! It's nice to visit at least once every single of their themes :)

Wonderful experience! Amazing themed restaurant with, during our visit, a pirates of the Caribbean and one piece theming with matching music. Theming was on par with some of the top theme parks we visited in the world like japan and Florida. The menu options are themed as well with some tasty looking cocktails and snack options (both sweet and savory). We opted for the regular butter beer (always on the menu) and one piece alcoholic cocktail. The butter beer was better than the official ones we had which is a huge compliment for this cafe. A wonderful surprise to find here in Greece. The butter beer was priced very reasonably, the cocktail was expensive but this theming needs to be funded of course.

I paid an inexplicably big amount of money for what came out to be a tiny birthday cake of questionable freshness (custom made order that came out frozen, with visible dew on the surface). The in store service needs attention. The lady that was packaging my order stoped more than a couple of times to help inexperienced coworkers with other orders which resulted in some serious time delay. The big beautiful red fairytale birthday cake boxes have been replaced with some indifferent cardboard colored ones with no branding whatsoever. They didn’t even offer to put a ribbon on mine. To sum it up, the magic was good while it lasted but now we have to move on as well. Will come back to right the wrongs if anything changes for the better…

This is an all-around store that can satisfy your sweet or savory tooth at any hour of the day. They have all kinds of sweets as well as coffee and other savory foods available. The service was great and fast. The selection of items will definitely leave you wanting to come back for more. The Price to performance ratio is great.

We recently visited Bread Factory in Athens as a group of nine people. The place is spacious, modern, and perfect for both quick snacks and longer stays. The service was fast and friendly, and there were plenty of seating options for our large group. The variety of pastries and desserts was impressive. While the baklavas were unfortunately a bit dry and did not meet our expectations, the other sweets were fresh and delicious, especially the cakes and cream-based desserts. The coffee was also very good, pairing nicely with the desserts. Prices were reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, despite the disappointment with the baklavas, we enjoyed our time here and would recommend it for its other desserts, atmosphere, and friendly service.

A very tasty cake can be found here, weirdly it still open at night. Lucky that I fill my cravings here.

We visited Fossa Café in Kythira and it was a wonderful experience! I tried the cheesecake and a slice of Basque cake (a traditional Spanish-style burnt cheesecake) — both were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The view from the café is simply breathtaking, making it the ideal spot to relax and enjoy your coffee and dessert. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re in Kythira!

Bakery with great selection, friendly staff. Busy, but fast service. You need to buy your food and drinks first as if it is a take-away and then you can sit either downstairs or upstairs. So, not a restaurant where you get served. We recommend sitting upstairs.

Wow 🤯😳 With everything else that was wrong with our break, this place was amazing. So...to the young(well he was younger than me I'm 48) small moustache guy who served us, 6ft 1"... Outstanding service, welcoming and was always a delight to assist me and me family. To the young woman who served us hot chocolate, you are a star...always smiling, you knew the right dessert, the way you made the drink...may not be anything special to you, but there was care. The hot chocolate: let me start by saying... Do you remember when you had your first hot chocolate drink, thick, milky not too milk chocolatey, not too dark...it just, made you feel like Christmas all those years ago. One sip of this drink and you feel like it's your very first hot chocolate, hot... But not too hot, on a cold January evening...any stresses get washed away with a cacophony of memories back to when you sat in front of a fire and enjoyed your very first hot chocolate drink. The strawberry 🍓 pie /flan thing... Oh my, you naughty people for creating such a dessert. And then....they was the lemon meringue pie. I took one bite, the ecstasy was visible and the male baker smiled and clapped as in to applause my sheer appreciation of such a nice dish.... It's like the meringue you nan use to make "only on special occasions" then your mum made it and it was her "go to" recipe. Thank you, for your hospitality. Thank you.

Spent 2 days in Athens, and couldn't help but go back here multiple times (4). Absolutely delicious food and coffee either for breakfast, sweet treats, ice cream or pizza. So good.

Based on my 5-day experience in Athens, I had the best sandwiches and the best frappé here. The tomato and mozzarella sandwich was especially delicious. The bread is extra tasty because it's so fresh. I also recommend the macarons and the spinach pastry

This ice cream was delicious. I went four times during my sixteen days in Athens and it was absolutely delectable. My favourite flavour combination was one scoop of Wild Berry Sorbet + one scoop of Extra Dark chocolate. Absolutely incredible treat. Their kaimaki was also really nice, it was my first time trying it and I enjoyed it a lot.

Cute little pastry shop with amazing types of pastries. Authentically tasty, not sugary sweet like in America. You can actually have seconds and not feel guilty or sleep. I had the chocolate cheesecake. DEEELISH!!!!

Amazing stuff..... I mean words truly fail to express the mouth watering taste of the delicacy of this place. Name it and they have it. Wide variety of sweets and pastries. We got a little medley of desserts and of the three, only the cheesecake/cake was good (quite yummy, tasted like kinder!). The portokalopita and galaktoboureko left much to be desired. Seems a lot of people like their ice cream, but wouldn't recommend their traditional desserts!

The sweets offered are very varied and taste excellent! They have everything you could ever imagine, some are a bit pricier than others but you definitely get your money's worth! The staff is doing their absolute best during the high season.

The guest experience and customer service from the young lady behind the counter and the server with a nose ring and hair bun were atrocious. They need to stop talking down to visitors of Greece who patronize their business and provide them with a paycheck. There was another young man behind the counter who was amazing, great job to him! I won’t be going back to this business, I’ll patronize the other one that’s down at the square, about a block away, they have fantastic service!

We stumbled upon this delightful pastry shop/café and absolutely fell in love with it. The place was full of fresh, tempting bakery and pastry items, displayed beautifully and impossible to resist. We tried a couple of their specialties — Babas and Millefeuille, which was moist and rich, layered with a light, creamy, delicious custard and flaky pastry. Every bite was incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, just right. The quality of ingredients and the care in preparation really stood out. The café also had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a quiet moment with a coffee and something sweet. It was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely go back again to try more of their creations. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth or a love for authentic, well-made pastries!

We took our meal as takeaway. Very good traditional pastries (i liked much the galaktompoureko). Not very fun folks as there are so many customers I understand they do not have much time for each. I do not understand people barking it's more expensive when sitting: it's written on the external big menu so if you saw prices you saw that. I like the comment about EU Law and calling cops but it's exactly the same in France: it's more expensive when sitting!

There were two of us, and neither of us was satisfied. They brought each of our orders separately, one by one — even the coffees. My coffee was served first, and my partner’s coffee came about 20 minutes later. This behavior was really unpleasant for us. You go to a café to enjoy yourself and share the moment, to have something to eat or drink together, but this experience completely ruined that feeling. It even made the taste of the coffee and cake unpleasant for us!!!

This place sells nice deserts. It a bit like a tourist trap but nice for a treat. It’s a little overpriced.

Nice café with good food and a cozy environment. However, the cats roaming freely in the main seating area may not be to everyone’s taste. They often climb onto chairs and tables, leaving cat hair behind, which can be uncomfortable and unhygienic. While we love animals, it’s important to consider that some people are allergic to cats. The cats should not be fed in the front entrance area of the café where the sitting tables are, as this would make the experience much more enjoyable for all visitors.

Excellent quality food and excellent beverages and service. Prices are very down to earth and reasonable. Great atmosphere. Products always Great and Fresh. The only challenge is the parking. Very limited spaces and limited space to park.

Amazing value and quality. The nice chap who served me this morning was so helpful in describing each of the pastries I asked about. Nothing was too much trouble. Incredible value - I had a chocolate croissant whilst my hubby had a cheese pastry. It’s so hard to find fresh fruit as a traveler in Greece so we then purchased an apple slice - perfection. My coffee was also excellent. Worth a visit and costs about half what I paid at a bakery in Paros. Thank you .

What a scam bakery! Bought a sandwich where only half, visible on the display, is filled with veggies and feta. 3,20 for 20g feta and a couple of pieces of tomato and cucumber. Now I don't even know if the price was real or just made up because there were no prices on display. Not recommended! Upd.: the owner replied that there were peppers and olive paste, what a joke. It is clear in the picture that there were none and only half of the bread had something. The other half is just two plain slices of bread. Don't be ridiculous and take some learning for the future!

This morning when I ordered a Freddo cappuccino, they gave me a cappuccino. It may have been a misunderstanding but the woman there was very rude and disrespectful and insisted that I wanted a cappuccino, not a Freddo cappuccino. I will never come here again.

No matter in which country you visit a PAUL branch the quality, appearance, service and the taste is 100% identical. Respect! At PAUL you can always consume deliciously topped baguette sandwiches, crispy and airy baked croissants and other French pastry, first class cakes or even from PAUL kitchen very tasty soups, french fries or slightly herb salmon bites. Or if you really need a coffee break to fill up yourself with energy to discover Athens you are also in good hands at PAUL! Their rich and dense aromatic, full, slightly sweet and fragrant coffee delivers a very good long-lasting aftertaste without any acidity. You will love it! Must-visit bistro near Syntagma Square. Beautiful decoration that is redolent of Parisian cafes and is complemented by nice music that creates a relaxing, serene ambiance. The coffee and food are very tasty. In particular, I would recommend the croissants, the cheese pie (tyropita), the jus tropical matcha, and the limonade gingembre. The cafe is very clean. The staff, especially Andreas, is polite, albeit a bit inexperienced; it might be a good idea to have a more seasoned employee coordinate and supervise them. I also noticed that the staff gave the access code and let people who were not customers use the restroom.

Went to order some pastry, staff knocked one over within cabinet and it was the last one of that particular item..oh well, I still ordered some of the mini tarts. Waitress behind counter asked if for sitting in which I said yes, ordered a mocha and ended up giving me in a takeaway cup as she thought I had said takeaway. I then decided to order another one (as my friend said he will take the takeaway cup), I ensured I said to sit in and to provide in a normal cup. The girl made it in another takeaway cup, giving the excuse her supervisor told her to make it in a takeaway cup. FFS these guys are hopeless.

Paul always saved the day, wherever we were. If it is in England, Spain and Portugal. In Greece this was very significant because the bakeries and patisseries in Athens are not at a high level. Paul gives exactly what you need, good coffee and very tasty croissants. Wherever we go, we check if there is a branch of theirs in the area. Still - high pricing and not very good service

The food is fantastic. The quiche and flan were very delicious. The hot chocolate reminded us of the hot chocolate from Spain. If you're going to eat-in, just grab an open table and they'll take your order. The line inside is for take-away.

A delightful French bakery experience — with heart! I had a wonderful experience at this French bakery. The food was excellent — I ordered the eggs Benedict, and they were perfectly done: rich hollandaise, runny yolks, and beautifully plated. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The coffee was strong and flavorful — exactly what I needed to start the day right. But what made this visit truly memorable was the service. Theodore was exceptional. He went above and beyond for every single customer, moving through the space like it was his own bakery — always one step ahead, anticipating needs, checking in with everyone, making sure no one was left waiting or wondering. He created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the place feel special. It’s rare to find that kind of genuine care and attention. I’ll definitely be returning — not just for the great food and coffee, but for the incredible service that made the whole experience stand out. Highly recommend!

Great family owned business in Athens! I had the pleasure of tasting their gelato one evening (chocolate, vanilla, tiramisu, and lemon sorbet- all because of sampling just one to start… ☺️) and it was all delicious. I was then invited to come back in the morning for breakfast. I ordered a Greek omelette and a lemon ice-tea (they have multiple flavors BTW) and then a homemade cookie. Oh my goodness! Taste buds at TZATZOS were in heaven! I HIGHLY recommend eating here whenever you’re in town! Delicious food, outstanding family, great atmosphere!!

This is some of the best ice cream I have ever had. We met one of the most personable and friendly employees of all time.They have excellent sweets and ice cream, and play great music! Disappointing Experience with Overpriced, Tasteless Food I ordered two mini panini (€2.50 each), a piece of cheesecake, and two bottles of sparkling water, with a total price of €16.70. The food was unfortunately underwhelming, especially given the cost. - **Mini Panini 1 (Mozzarella & Tomato):** Dry, nearly empty, with just a mini mozzarella and a slice of tomato. The only thing I could taste was the bread. - **Mini Panini 2 (Salmon):** Same issue—very little salmon, placed in one corner, leaving the rest tasteless and dry. Again, the bread was the only redeeming part. - **Cheesecake:** Hard as a rock with a vague milky flavor. The base tasted like the cheapest biscuits and butter available. While the atmosphere was nice, and it's in a good location, the food was poor quality and overpriced. I wouldn't recommend this place. Also I don’t even know what the girl typed in the invoice bill, don’t know if the prices we paid were right tbh but will attach my bill.

Disappointing deserts. I had the Dubai & the cheesecake in the glass. Both were very sweet but the Dubai was so extremely sweet that after 2 bites from each were thrown away. I m wondering the manager has he/she tried it? Pity bcs they used to have nice desserts in the past.

Coffee is good, edibles are from indifferent up to good, but you need to know the prices differ depending on whether it's take away or to sit, even if it's “self service”. Expect to pay almost exorbitantly more if it's to sit.

Self service, overcrowded and hectic place, not very clean. The baquiettes are very tasty and there is an adequate variety. They make good coffee and the flavours of tea are really good. It's in the centre of Glifada which is a plus, so after you're done shopping you can stay there for brunch /coffee /juice. The prices are very costumer friendly, that is also a great plus.

I visited this pastry shop in Athens, and while it wasn’t bad, I’ve definitely had better Greek-style sweets, especially back in Canada. The pastries were still good—fresh and with nice flavors—but they didn’t quite hit the mark like some others I’ve tried. That said, it's still a solid choice if you're in the area and craving something sweet.

Lured by a sweet craving and the promise of diverse desserts like gelato and cakes, I visited this shop. The staff were pleasant. My main curiosity was the viral Dubai ice cream. While the chocolate pieces added a nice texture, the pistachio flavour didn't quite live up to the hype for me, resulting in an "okay" experience overall. There are loads of seating outside.

We bought a chocolate mousse cake for my kid’s birthday: excellent! The sweetness of the mousse was well balanced by the slightly salty savoriness of the chocolate sponge cake and the light bitterness of the chocolate icing. We didn’t have a chance to sample their smaller pastry, but I guess it must be as good.

Banoffee tart was tasty although I would of liked to have some banana slices in there. Lemon meringue the lemon curd was great but the meringue was grainy like the salt hadn’t dissolved. The tarts themselves were more like shortbread but I think that is a Greek version that I’m not fond of rather than a quality issue as other highly acclaimed tarts were the same.

I've already gone twice for their sugar-free chocolate ice cream - definitely recommend for chocolate lovers especially if your diet restricts sugar/high sugars! I also had their cheesecake sweetened with stevia and it was amazing. Young man is very friendly and welcoming.

I went 2 days in advance for a cake order and to ask them to incorporate a duck design on top of it. The guy took a photo of my design plus he took notes: have a big duck with orange feet, have the writing in orange to match the duck’s feet, add 2-3 little ducks if enough space. I said I wanted the design drawn on and not as figurines. You can see my design and what I got instead. Even worst however was that they did not accept their mistakes, tried to justify them with excuses, changed my words on what I asked for, did not even apologize and quickly dismissed me on top. Big shame on them, absolutely no regard for the customer. Needless to say I won’t be going back. Huge thumbs DOWN.

Wish I could have given a 0 star. Kids were very happy to pick a bday cake, strangely the cake was taken out of a different box instead of the shelves. I didn’t think much or question them, I really should have…By the time we ate at home(just in 10mins), the cake was as dry as it can be. Definitely day or days OLD. I can’t believe it! We have been buying from this shop for all of our families so far, keep disappointing us but we keep trying hoping the next flavor one would be better. Now we are done with them. Cakes have way too much sugar, dry and heavy. You would probably enjoy your 1st and 2nd bite but by the end of one piece, you already feel like throwing up. So far every birthday cake we tried with them end up in trash next day. We have tried every single flavor. So up to you if you want to take the adventure.

I was nervous about ordering from a different country and having everything go smoothly. Emi’s Cupcakes was extremely helpful and had great communication throughout the whole process. When we showed up on my daughter’s birthday the cupcakes were BEAUTIFUL and extremely tasty! Thank you for making her birthday so special!

I’m so thrilled to go back to Emi’s Cupcakes after 6 years! I live in Canada but always make sure to make several stops at Emi’s while in Athens! EVERYTHING is excellent in that jewel of a shop. And the staff are amazing! A must visit shop.

I had the opportunity to order my grandson's Spiderman Birthday cake from Emi's just a few days before landing in Athens. The service and communication were outstanding and flawless to the timely delivery. The cake was the tastiest themed cake we've ever had. Highly recommend. In love with this place 😍The most pretty small shop in the city center easily accessible. The bake every day hand made, fresh original American cupcakes with an amazing variation of flavors. Also they are the Masters of Birthday ( and every other occasion) cakes. They can decorate it with everything you can imagine. There is no limit on their creativity, and everything is designed and handmade by them. The thing is that are not only pretty but also really tasteful. Last but not least the personnel is very kind, happy and ready to serve you with a big smile on their faces.

Our wedding cake was amazing, complete with our two cats in mini fondant form. The service and communication was incredible throughout, and we were extremely happy with the result!
