Nestled in the heart of Dromana, Victoria, Laneway Espresso has been a beloved spot since its opening in September 2015. Located conveniently along the Nepean Highway and just across from the stunning Dromana beach, this café is a haven for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike. The inviting atmosphere features an eclectic mix of vintage tables and chairs that create a cozy setting perfect for unwinding with friends or family.
Seriously Amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I walked in, and was shown to a table, and soon after had a waitress arrive to take my order. Fantastic friendly customer service, with a smile. I ordered the Laneway Benedict with vegetarian style, roasted pumpkin, red onion, cherry tomatoes, capiscum & spinach the presentation was amazing, looked so inviting, and the first bite I was in bliss. The whole meal was made with love and you could see the chef loves what they do. The flavours together blended so well. Thankyou for serving a wonderful meal. Thankyou also to the elderly couple I met on the street who recommended Laneway Expresso to me. It was the first time I've been there, and I'd happily go again. Highly recommend 👌

If you are after a cafe that has character, does great service and has interesting food options, then this is a cafe worth visiting. I stopped in for a chai & a florentine to take away. The second cafe I have found that uses tiger nut milk.

Over 30 min waiting for my latte to arrive. Not impressed with the coffee either, it looked OK, but much better coffee options available elsewhere in Dromana

Really excellent brunch spot if you’re down on the peninsula. Very good coffee, and delicious food. Highly recommend the mushroom! 🍄‍🟫
Samuel P — Google review
This has always been our go to place but recently it has dropped right off. Came today waiting to be served (cafe quiet) felt like I was completely invisible so seated myself. Continued to be ignored, staff member in striped t shirt walking aimlessly around so could not get her attention. Went up to get our own menus, again no staff interested. Same staff member then came to take our order completely disinterested, each time we ordered our coffee all she said was "yep" "yep" whilst chewing gum. We felt like our presence was an inconvenience to the staff who were constantly chatting up at the counter. Service use to be on point, with friendly, efficient staff who were welcoming & friendly. Totally appreciate staff are mostly transient but with good management & supervision there should be a much higher standard of service. Perhaps owners have lost interest & that is why it was so quiet? Very disssppointing. Addit: only positive note, the young girl with the curly hair was very pleasant.
Andrea — Google review
We arrived no one greeted waited 5 or more to be seated our friends arrived took ages to order although may need to go to counter to Oder unsure Bacon and mushroom was cold my meal was way too much tomato and hardly any chorizo. The older ladies that served were lovely the young staff not interested when finished we waited half an hour for our plates to be cleared Too many places around with great service and food to go back again.

Love it here! Perfect Breakfast/Brunch. Delish scrabbled egg, not to mention the add ons for extra yum! Great coffee too!
Dianne — Google review
I am obsessed with this place - it is truly amazing! The food is worth driving across Victoria for, the pistachio cream acai bowl is particularly delicious. The atmosphere has such a good vibe, and the staff is super friendly and accomodating! Perfect place to come with family and friends, I have already been with multiple people and others have gone in their own time and every person has raved about it! Definitely need to go, absolutely loved every bit of it.

Cafe
Wombat Cafe & Store is a bustling cafe located in Dromana, named after one of the mountain bike trails nearby. The cafe offers a variety of hearty vegan dishes such as scrambled tofu, spiced lentil nachos, and loaded vegan hotdogs topped with sauerkraut and vegan cheese. Additionally, they serve house-made desserts like Snickers slice and zesty lemon tart.
Totally awesome surprise coming here with my mother! The vibe and food were amazing. I had a burrito and also tried some of the nachos my mum ordered - both were incredible. Also super stoked on my iced coffee!! As somebody who doesn’t normally like plant milk our server/barista nailed it! The coconut ice cream that came with it was deadly too 😍 Definitely not a place to miss if you’re in the area!
Callum J — Google review
I have been coming here for years, very impressed with how the new owners have settled in. The cafe is clean, open and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They are accommodating to modifications and the homemade cakes and biscuits are to die for. As somebody who has a severe cows milks allergy this is one of the few places I can come on the peninsula and feel completely safe eating. The new owners is so lovely and it feels like you’re eating home cooked food made with love.
Isabella K — Google review
I had a delicious sweet potato & carrot soup, as well as the nourish bowl (pictured). The food was good, the service was friendly and quick. I enjoyed sitting for a while after eating while reading my book. I appreciated the gluten free options (all already vegan!)
Flora K — Google review
Well worth the trip to Dromana. Delicious food, generous servings, lovely staff and presented with care. Much more than normal cafe fare. And vegan. The sort of food that will convince people that being vegan is the way to go. I will be back.

I've been coming to Wombat Cafe & Store since they opened the doors for the first time. The food and vibes here have been consistently good since day one. Clean, fresh, wholesome food. A hit with the locals and tourists, add this place to your must and regular visits. I also know a number of customers who are not vegetarian or vegan and absolutely love this place. - Charles W.

This charming café beautifully marries local warmth with Scandinavian elegance, featuring sleek interiors adorned with furniture from the renowned Danish design house HAY. The menu at Nordie showcases an array of inspired dishes crafted from fresh, home-grown produce and highlights modern cooking techniques that celebrate straightforward flavors.

Christian S — Google review
last time i was here i got the smashed avocado and it was absolutely delicious full of flavour, and a hot chocolate which is just done so classically well, the previous time i got a burger and chips and an ice chocolate, (only have photo of the latter) but i highly recommend nordies!
Billie S — Google review
This would absolutely be my local if I lived nearby. The food is delicious, good coffee, the music and atmosphere is so lovely and laid back even when they have a line of people ordering coffee. I had the smoked salmon board and it was flawless, though I'd love a second piece of bread but that's my only critique! Lots of seating. But the reason that I'd make this my local is purely for the absolutely awesome people who work here. Super friendly to a first time visitor but the fact that specifically the lady slinging coffees at the entrance knew almost every person's name who walked in was impressive! She seemed to genuinely care about the customers and I am here for that. Well done Nordie, I'll definitely be back!
Natalie C — Google review
Hey, if you need to charge over $6 for a coffee in order to pay staff fairly I’m good with that but pretty please ensure it comes out perfectly…our milk was quite literally dumped into the cup-no crème…I only get one coffee a day 😩 Also, please add more than 1 chocolate chip to the chocolate chip cookies 🥹 (guess the name does suggest 1 🤣)

Found this small eatery by accident in Red Hill I would totally recommend a visit You can eat inside which is lovely we ate outside with the rosellas was a very pleasant experience Food was excellent service was excellent prices were great
Lee F — Google review
Great little cafe near Red Hill. Nice vibes inside with a constant stream of locals and tourists coming through. We came as a group of 7 and the long tables catered for us well. I ordered the prawn chilli scrambled eggs which was of good quality, fluffy eggs and nicely cooked prawns. Our one gripe with the food was that whilst everything was nice the serving sizes across the board could definitely be a bigger, particularly with the menu prices. Coffee was very good although I ordered a small orange juice and it was tiny, again portion size could be improved for the prices they're charging. Overall though a nice experience and would have no hesitation coming back.
Harry M — Google review
Amazing cafe, breakfast was delish, salmon on toast with boiled egg and roe, and the chilli scramble were both amazing. The sweets and coffee were also tops. Service was quick and attentive. Vibe of the cafe is great, chilled out, great seating inside and outside. Dog friendly too.

1st time visit today, cosy cafe with amazing service. We had 8 people in our group and everyone had a good time. Marie's service was excellent, she made sure our toddler was well entertained with colouring materials and kept checking in that my daughter was enjoying her meal. Also checkimg that we were well taken care off.

Merchant & Maker was a great little find whilst we stayed down in the Peninsula. My wife has coeliac disease so was extremely happy to order the gluten free pancakes. Food was excellent, would definitely return.

Coffee is on point (same Coffee as common folk, barista very good). Food is reasonably priced, is absolutely top notch, and well presented. Wait staff were pleasant and well presented - they handled a nuanced order easily and without hassle. This place is marvelous. A hidden gem that I'll be making the trip for, again and again. Very impressed.
Troy S — Google review
Best café in the area! Great coffee and excellent customer service. I’ve been a regular customer since I moved to the neighborhood and have explored many cafés nearby — this one is by far the best. All the staff are so kind and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. I love that I can just walk in without even ordering — they already know my iced long black and have it ready for me. That personal touch means a lot. Highly recommended!
JACK S — Google review
Omg we looked at previous reviews and we where not disappointed. Going somewhere that understands you gluten free needs is wonderful. The food is beautiful cant wait to go back to this wonderful find
Gale H — Google review
We had the pleasure of visiting Merchant and Maker recently, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The breakfast was genuinely delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked just as good as it tasted. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the exceptional front-of-house service. Maria, in particular, was a standout, warm, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. She made the whole visit feel personal and relaxed, creating the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and even better hospitality!

The menu features an array of visually stunning dishes like acai bowls and a prawn and kimchi omelette, alongside the beloved seeded smashed avocado.
Gorgeous cafe with very friendly staff. Visited Hobson on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the Cumberland Sausage and an iced matcha. The beetroot relish on the sausage was delicious and the sausage was so flavourful. Will definitely be going back!

Must try the Tiramisu Latte! Service was so incredibly friendly. The serving sizing and the flavours of breakfast were so delicious- will definitely return
Pruedonce B — Google review
Ordered the Green Mango and Prawn Salad as I love green mango. The mango that came out in the dish looked like tinned peaches - soft, mushy and tasteless. Staff hand out the cutlery and they gave me a fork and a spoon and when I went to the counter to ask for a knife, I got received the unsolicited advice that most people eat salads with a fork and spoon😂
Anita W — Google review
I was in the area for a running event and was in need of my caffeine fix, scrolled across Hobson and wandered over. The interior was warm and welcoming, service with a smile. Didn't need to wait long for my coffee and I was on my way. Thanks team.
Matthew A — Google review
On my way to Fort Nepean, I made a stop at Hobson Rosebud and it turned out to be such a delightful find. What I really loved most was the warmth of the staff—friendly without being overbearing, and genuinely happy to chat or recommend something from the menu. If you’re passing through Rosebud on your way to the tip of the Peninsula, Hobson is absolutely worth pausing for—it’s the kind of place that leaves you smiling as you continue your journey.
Ezra R — Google review
Love Hobson! We are in Rosebud quite regularly from Melbourne and we always pop in for food &/or coffee. The bacon and egg English muffins are amazing….they put some kind of sauce in it that is absolutely delicious! The big kids love the baked goods (yummiest raspberry and white choc muffin ever apparently) and our youngest loves the pancakes with icecream and maple syrup. Staff are friendly. Food is fantastic. Location is perfect, opposite the beach. Highly recommend Hobson Rosebud!

Mediterranean restaurant
Martha's Table is a charming restaurant located in Martha Marina Cove on the Mornington Peninsula. The dining room boasts a marine-hued decor, creating a Mediterranean ambiance. It is led by a former chef from Lancemore Linderderry and offers an all-in-one experience with an aperitivo bar and in-house provedore. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the marina while savoring delicious food and receiving friendly service from the attentive staff.
The food and service were outstanding! This restaurant deserves more stars than it has on Google. The price might be a factor, but for us, the quality of the ingredients and the delicious dishes make it well worth it.
Jepz L — Google review
I am local to Martha’s Table and always hear or read negative or mixed reviews. I have nothing but outstanding review for them. I had my 50th bday celebrations with 13 friends enjoying high tea. The staff could not have been more accommodating and the food was excellent. Nobody went home hungry that’s for sure!
Jannett K — Google review
I enjoyed a cappuccino here while checking out Martha’s Cove. The cappuccino was lovely. Not all have froth.. this did, so I was happy 😊. I sat there looking around the venue and was impressed with what I saw. I’m sorry I wasn’t there at a time to try their meals or even a snack. The bathroom was reached by walking through to the restaurant and past the bar and hidden a little. It involved walking through automatic sliding double doors and overall, gave a discreet impression of where you were going, and then a bit flashy. One couldn’t help but notice the view of the marina from the lounge & restaurant, which all looked lovely. Where I sat in the “ cafe “ area, the marina wasn’t so much insight, but there was plenty enough to look at. Lots of tables and chairs inside. Some outside. The marina just steps away, with lots of box like apartments about. First time I had been there so was intrigued.
Kathy L — Google review
Went to Martha's table for a high tea. The staff were very friendly and ensured we had enough water/ coffee/ wine, they changed our plates after we had finished eating the savory dishes. We were well looked after. Food was delicious, resturant tastefully fitted and we had fabulous views of ocean.
Jen L — Google review
Had one of the best steaks I’ve had in ages, perfectly cooked and the jus was full of flavoured goodness. The whole place has this really elegant vibe without feeling stuffy. Gorgeous setting, great food honestly, just a really lovely night out. Can only imagine how nice this place would look during summer.
Edna M — Google review
We had a fantastic breakfast and dinner last weekend. We were looked after by Chloe -- who must sleep there, given that she was there across the entire day! Thanks Chloe. The dinner menu is seriously good and we couldn't fault our food. We took Chloe's advice and ordered the beans to go with our marron -- wow! They were fantastic! We can see why they're popular (and I'm not a bean eater!!). While the cafe was really busy for breakfast, the coffee in particular was worth waiting for! Eggs cooked to perfection and set us up for the day. Thanks for having us -- we'll be back!
Helen G — Google review
The restaurant is absolutely stunning & to come on Mother’s Day & to have lunch by the marina was truely amazing, our waitress was really nice and checked up on our food and asked us for drinks, as working in hospitality before it was nice to see that she treated us how I would treat customers as well. Food was lovely except we found a small hair in our carrots and was put off by this and didn’t touch the carrots afterwards. The dessert was the best bit! Credits to the chef :)) Apart from that everything else was lovely :)
Renata S — Google review
One of my sons and his 3 children met with us on Saturday 25/10 to celebrate an early birthday. Matt was most impressed as he had only eaten in the cafe previously. Ella thought that the way the food was presented was fabulous. We were offered 3 menus, bar, restaurant and kid’s menu as well as the cafe items. It was a very enjoyable lunch. Thank you everyone who worked to provide us with this wonderful family experience.👏

Little Rebel Coffee Roastery is not just a place for coffee, it's an experience. Housed in a converted warehouse in Dromana, the roastery features impressive roasting machines, tasting stations, and vintage Harley Davidson motorbikes. The on-site roasted beans result in some of the best coffees on the peninsula, served with organic cow's milk or specialty plant milks. A unique feature is their bean vending machine and convenient coffee subscription with free delivery.
Finally got to check this place out and was not disappointed. The draw card was the bottomless batch brew and they currently have a very tasty one on deck! They of course have a large variety of single origins and blends and if they are closed, a coffee bean vending machine!

This is a brilliant coffee spot which brightens an otherwise drab light industrial area. It’s a good sized place and well set out. Specialist coffee is the focus here and it’s spectacularly good on any measure. The staff are great here too. Parking can occasionally be an issue, but the effort is well worth it

ORDERED A FLAT WHITE BUT THEY SERVED ME A LATE (with 1.5 inches of foam) 😫 another coffee shop that doesn’t get a flat white isn’t the same as a late. Why!? I sweat only axil coffee roasters get the difference. Sorry for the low rated review, nothing against the coffee just finding offensive giving lates for flat white.

Amazing coffee in a very relaxed setting. Be sure to make this your preferred destination for your caffeine fix anytime you're in their neck of the woods and you won't be disappointed.
Sharon M — Google review
Poor. Got two large dirty chai with double shots of coffee and, first, didn’t even taste like chai, it tasted like a licorice drink, second, not the slightest trace of coffee taste, full on just licorice taste. There’s 14 dollars down the drain thanks. And it’s not the first time they’ve done a bad coffee, I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt but this has done it for me. Never going back there again.

Lovely coffee place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. One long table and another smaller table to sit down inside with a couple of tables for outside seating. Would have been nice if they had a small breakfast/lunch menu to have with the coffee instead of a couple of pastries.

Hearty and tasty food, great service, excellent value for money. Ate here for lunch - really impressed by the quality of the food. Steak sandwich was delicious, meat cooked perfectly. Lived in Dromana for years, tried all cafes and we keep coming back to Pier Street Kitchen as their coffee is the BEST. Not to mention the freshly cooked meals. Cannot go wrong with their Fully Loaded, yum, Healthy breakfast options are delicious and my favorite is the Potato & Pumpkin smash. Their eggs Benedict is second to none with fresh Hollandaise Sauce. Also sweet treats on offer, if i had to improve anything would like to see something sweet on the menu, but plenty on offer in the cabinet. Keep up the good work

Had an amazing experience at this café! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find a place that gets both food and service spot on, but this café definitely does. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Their smashed avo equivalent with Sliced avo was awesome and given not many vegetarian friendly options had to settle with Turkish roll with hash brown which was also done well. Industrial ambience is not for all but I liked it. Owner was very friendly and we had lot of cricket chat!
Milan P — Google review
Good coffee. PSK cheeseburger had lots of floavor although patty seemed undersized in the bun and was a little too salty for my taste. Also was expecting more lettuce.
Peter C — Google review
Some of the food was great, some was just good. The service wasn't good. Sadly, from the 10 meals we ordered as a group, they all came at different times. Two of the meals after half of us had finished. Water and laying the table was "do it ourselves" ... so a super casual atmosphere.

As a frequent client I know this cafe for some time. The service is excellent, very attentive and polite. The menu is varied and the specials often are changed, so there is a lot of variety to chose from. The coffee and tea and their varieties are excellent. Recently I tried their wild mushroom special and it the umami flavour it had was mind-blowing. I highly recommend this cafe.

The menu features a variety of options, from classic ham and cheese to gourmet combinations like prosciutto with poached pear and gorgonzola.
The coffee here is aromatic and wonderful! It comes in the cutest takeaway cup too! The ice chocolate was also amazing - rich in flavour (but not too rich) and refreshing! I highly recommend 👍🏼

Absolutely a tourist rip off spot! Two jaffles and two small coffee $40. The jaffles were revolting, nasty thin white bread, the filling well where was it! Hubby got baked beans, could count how many beans were in there, .as for mine well dont ask. A jaffle shouldn’t be as thin as a $1 coin! As for the coffee well it was rubbish as well. Avoid this place as it’s a true rip off! Shame on them.

Great coffee and jaffles! Really friendly ladies. Bought some freshly roasted beans to take home with us as well. Cant wait to try!

Great coffee and friendly service! Would highly recommend, we will definitely come back here again for coffee when we are in town.

Lovely cosy place. Beautiful outside seating area. Coffee was excellent. Didn't eat anything except an escargot which was really good. The smells of the food being cooked were mouthwatering. Gorgeous staff. Just a great spot and experience here for an early morning coffee. Recommend totally

Zarb & Ru should be at the top of your Rosebud cafes for coffee! Great coffee match with great friendly service. They also do a good chai latte and some great toasties with a large variety from breakfast, healthy and naughty. Beautiful ingredients with great flavour matches and they even have a very nice gluten free bread option. Do yourself a favour and stop in for a coffee at least, but I'm sure you'll be tempted for more

The staff at Provincia Food Store are phenomenal. They were incredibly welcoming today when our group, including dogs descended on them today to escape the rain. Their food was delicious and the coffees & chai latte were perfect. Thank you

Beautiful place to stop at Safety Beach. Parking can be an issue when busy especially Summer holiday period. Nice coffee. Food more expensive than an ordinary supermarket but great cheeses and cold meat variety . I enjoy the experience
Birdie — Google review
Perfect place for a pretty good coffee (they have all the milks) and a walk along safely beach. The smart money orders over in advance over skip, and just be aware that there are Italian doughnuts at the counter which will get you if you’re not mentally prepared.
Nikolaus A — Google review
Hadn't been here for a year or two and used to love it completely! This time - last Sunday - bread rolls were borderline stale, no hot pies, pasties etc, sliced porketta was smelling "off" 2 days later despite being refrigerated and the Godfather meatball panini with a (now much smaller) vanilla slice were very tasty, but cost near $25.00 for the pair! Keep driving - there's much better value ahead. I hope they improve - I used to really enjoy visiting.
Andrew F — Google review
Love Provincia the prices may be high but the quality of the produce is incredible and it's nice to have that option. The coffee's are awesome and the customer service is great. They serve the community well and it's just a special little shop! Thankyou to everyone involved.

Great coffee and the juices are amazing here, as to, is the service, the banana bread and the croissants for brekky. And a beautiful location to boot. Just Saying!
Teakay J — Google review
As a local, I’ve given this place more than enough chances over the years, but the experience just never improves. The coffee? Middling at best. The food? Fine, but way overpriced for what are essentially reheated deli-style sandwiches. The real issue, though, is the service—chronically slow and disorganised. Staff are often more focused on chatting or joking around than getting orders out efficiently, and it shows. Items are frequently missed, forgotten, or just not rung up properly, meaning things have to be remade or chased up every other visit. The attitude? Hit or miss—some days you’ll get someone friendly, other days it feels like you’re inconveniencing them by showing up. It’s a shame, because it could be great. But after years of the same issues, I’ve started going elsewhere.

Au Croissanterie Dromana is a charming family-run cafe located in the heart of Rosebud. This cozy spot offers a delectable selection of freshly baked pastries, including perfectly pink donuts and irresistible Pain Au Chocolat. The menu also features savory options like the well-balanced Chicken Baguette and delightful almond croissants.
10 out of 10 experience here. The service was friendly and the food amazing. We had a ham and cheese croissant, a ham and cheese baguette, a mini jam donut (which was immediately pronounced incredible) and a cruffin. All were made there and we'd happily go again!
Amy R — Google review
We love this place. The coffee is excellent and the staff are so happy to meet any special requests. The croissants are baked fresh on the property daily, delicious and sell out. It’s cozy indoors with French music playing in the background or you can sit outside with a view of the bay. Definitely worth a visit.
Di A — Google review
Limited selection, which they definitely know what they're doing with. Bonus points for the rock solid paper straw. Great purchase choice for the venue. The team were warm and friendly and helpful. I had a baguette which was warm and toasty and really really good. Perfect ratio of Ham to cheese. My wife had a croissant that was apparently one of the better ones she's had (this is a much better compliment than it sounds) and overall just enjoyed the breakfast immensely. Great job, all!
Gabriels M — Google review
I just wanted to take a moment to shout out one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time at Au Croissanterie. A staff member named Jack Jordan absolutely elevated my visit. From the moment I walked in, Jack greeted me with a warm, genuine smile and was incredibly attentive, polite, and efficient. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on (I went with his croissant suggestion and it was perfect), and he handled everything with a level of professionalism and charm that really stood out. On top of all that – let’s be honest – he’s very handsome, which didn’t hurt the experience either! It’s rare to see someone who brings both charisma and genuine customer care to the table so effortlessly. Jack is a true asset to your team and a big reason I’ll be coming back. Keep up the amazing work – and give Jack a raise!

What an exciting new cafe! It’s nicely fitted out place decked out in a tasteful style with soft neutral colours. It’s very attractive and situated right across the road from the beach. Most important, the coffee is very good as are the pastries, toasties and baguettes. Service was pretty good too. This cafe is a very welcome addition to the area.

Such a great find! A friend and I walked by and decided to try and glad we did! Beautiful baguettes and croissants made in house with great selection even on a weekday. We had the ham + cheese croissant and the Cuban baguette—both things I would come back for. Coffee was also very yummy! The service was fantastic, very friendly and prompt. Cute space across from the beach. Can’t wait to visit again!

Charli Bean Cafe is the latest gem in McCrae, nestled at the entrance of the McCrae Shopping Centre and just a stone's throw from the beach. This vibrant spot is not only known for its exceptional coffee but also for its welcoming atmosphere, thanks to Luke, the passionate owner whose enthusiasm shines through. It's an ideal meeting place on sunny days, offering a delightful menu that caters to both humans and their furry friends with some canine-friendly options.
What a breath of fresh air for McCrae and the plaza. These guys have opened up breakfast lunch and dinner on its way as is a liquor license. The coffee is quality and can recommend the chilli eggs and can’t wait for the pizza and night time trade. Young fun team.. disappointed to read a negative review when they have only been open 8 days… who would do this to a new business. Coming together nicely guys and girls! Keep up the great work
Sam A — Google review
The coffee was just OK here. A bit underpowered for our taste but pleasant tasting enough in a milky way sort of way. We found the saucerless cups a bit weird though. The space inside the cafe is a bit interesting. A big pizza oven dominates and you wonder if it’s a pizza place, but the menu is cafe like. It’s unusual in that way. The food looked OK coming out. We might return and try that at some point
Two S — Google review
The pizza from Charli Bean is absolutely delicious. Huge, generous with toppings and very traditional and tasty. The staff are lovely and helpful. I really hope this business does well because it’s fantastic!! Have had yummy takeaway coffee from there over the last few weeks!

Went here for dinner on good Friday late afternoon. I dont think they were prepared for the influx of customers/online orders. We have had to wait 40 minutes for 2 pizzas. Pizzas were alright, although the toppings were rather scarce. We would be coming back to try their brekky and give the place a fair review. 22/04 As planned came back for brekky with my partner today. Not the greatest experience unfortunately. 2 strong soy lattes -They were sent back as they curdled. So yes, not a very good start. Then, We have ordered their stuffed mushroom and Buddah bowl. Stuffed mushroom - Serving size was so small ! I was expecting a big couple of mushrooms as it was meant to be a main dish and not an entree. There was hardly any bacon on the marmalade which made the dish just sweet and tasteless. Buddah bowl - uncooked rice, canned chickpeas (not spiced at all either) and bland dressing. I am sorry about the review guys but it was just embarrassing for me to take my partner here. I've had to apologise to her for such an unpleasant experience. I dont believe you should be charging customers what you charge over such average food. Never again !

Inspired by the reviews we tried this café. It is not the best quality food i was expecting, many things were not available and the fries and mushroom were full of oil. However, the place was friendly, very clean, and the coffee was really good!

Walked in for a late breakfast on a pretty cold drab day with family friends. Place although busy still had the odd table free thankfully. Service while good was business like and we were given a reasonable amount of time before being asked if we were ready to order. We ordered our meals and while just a little slow the wait wasn't to bad so no complaint there. The food served was delicious, nicely presented and I would say well portioned. I would definitely return. However if I could make one suggestion it would be for freshly squeezed OJ. What we got, although of good quality was not the same as fresh.
Len T — Google review
Stop by for lunch today, hoping for a nice lunch at the beach front. Unfortunately it started from bad to worse. Our table was sticky, we ordered a red wine and beer. Wine was flat(old) and wrong beer was given. We asked for the table to be clean, slight improvement on the stickiness but still feel not clean, everything stick to the table and definitely don't want to touch the table. We was informed when they bought out our main meal that one of our meal is not available. It would have been nice if they have told us earlier so we could order something else while waiting! We ordered a Mediterranean salads instead, although it more like a garden salad not quite worth $16. On top of that we were charge for extra drinks- 2 orange juice which we never ordered.

Diners can indulge in generous portions of scrumptious dishes, complemented by their unique chai tea and an irresistible strawberry milkshake that’s sure to please.
After some fun time with the kids at the safety beach, decided to stop and have lunch before heading back to Melbourne. We called them to book a table and was offered an outdoor table.. It was a bit hot but before we could say anything the staff said they could join some tables to accommodate all of us, since it was a bit hot outside.. Lovely gesture! The kids loved the food and the large sized strawberry milkshake was pretty awesome. I must say, this place exceeded my expectations.. Good food and enthusiastic & friendly staff.. These guys deserve a fiver!

Extremely rude female cashier. Walked in to get breakie and I asked, "is there a menu I can look at?" She literally chuck the menu to me without a look or smile, the feeling that customers are a disruption to her daily routine. I left without hesitation and definitely do not recommend this cafe! There are plenty others who deserves your business and will welcome customers with a smile.

What a joke this place has gone down hills I would love to give zero stars.. The people that would give them more stars would only be there family friends.........Coffee is shit...It's all milk no coffee taste......You pay for coffee..If I wanted a milk drink I would have asked for milk .. Had brunch together with the family and ordered the pulled pork benny, ham and cheese toastie, Irish breakfast and fried chicken burger. The pork was especially tender and juicy, the chicken and chips were battered well and crispy, and the toastie was delicious! The staff were also very understanding of our dietary requirements and friendly! Will come again!

GREAT LITTLE CAFE IN SAFETY BEACH We dropped in for breakfast on a Sunday. The staff were just delightful - friendly, well-informed on the menu, attentive and fitted us in even though it was Mothers day and we'd arrived without a reservation! the service is slick, the menu expansive and the food quality great! Options for vegetarians and meat eaters and quite a few "add-on" options to dishes. The seating is comfortable and generously spaced. People with mobility issues will be fine here as it is a very modern facility with even flooring and wide spaces between tables. The cafe is within a shopping centre and has ready access to parking (including handicapped) and is immediately connected to the shopping centre. Coffee is on a par with its Melbourne peers and the whole ambience is modern and clean.

Nestled in the heart of Dromana, Hapi Cafe & Restaurant is a beloved destination for breakfast, brunch, and lunch enthusiasts. Families will appreciate the warm atmosphere and attentive staff who engage with guests of all ages. The menu boasts generous portions that ensure no one leaves hungry, featuring everything from hearty burgers to flavorful noodles.
Absolutely loved my visit to Hapi Cafe in Dromana! The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The dishes are not only visually appealing but also incredibly flavorful—each bite is clearly prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. From the beautifully arranged dim sum platter to the perfectly crisp chicken parmigiana, every dish was a delightful experience. The calamari was tender, lightly crispy, and complemented by fresh greens, while the chicken burger was spot-on with its juicy patty and fluffy bun. Even their yogurt granola bowl was impressive, showcasing fresh fruits and wholesome ingredients. It’s rare to find a cafe that combines great taste, aesthetic presentation, and genuinely warm service all in one. Hapi Cafe nails it perfectly—I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend anyone visiting Dromana to check this gem out!

Food was disappointing. Ordered fish and chips and steam prawn dumplings. There was barely any fish. It was mostly batter. What a rip off. Steamed dumplings were so mushy. Both Chinese and western food were tasteless. Absolutely waste of my money. Also, the Asian girl who served us was rude and had a condescending tone. Do not ever sigh at a customer. If you’re unhappy to do your job, quit otherwise.

What a lovely meal we had this evening. My husband and I opted for the Yum Cha selection special and were not disappointed. The flavours were very fresh and filling. It was a great way to try different dumpling flavours that were new to us. The platter was served with complementary flower or fruit tea. We had flower tea, which was nice and refreshing. They also had happy hour from 4 pm - 6 pm for wine and beer if that's your thing. The food was great, staff friendly and helpful and very nice atmosphere. It was a great way to round off our travels before flying home.

Service of the young friendly staff was a stand out. Coffee was very good and the barista even gave us a custom coffee art for our poodle. The front area is ideal (probably best) if you have a fury friend as is dog friendly and also well sheilded from the elements. It probably has the most comfortable indoor seating in Dromana. I wasn't overly impressed with the Angus burger, but it was OK.
