We recently ordered a full English takeaway breakfast from Cafe two ten, but I was really disappointed. The toast was burnt, and the bacon was also overcooked. The meat sausages were tasty, but the veggie sausages were extremely tasteless and very soft, almost soggy. Instead of the usual soy or Quorn sausages, they were handmade with lots of vegetables, which was surprising given how bland they were. The scrambled eggs were quite watery, which didn't help the overall experience. I had heard good things about this place, but unfortunately, the takeaway food was inedible. It was a letdown, and I expected much better quality.

This is an amazing cafe , it’s food portions are very large for their price I came for London and this is the only place I would visit again for food food

Don’t be fooled by the outside of this cafe, the food and service is absolutely fab. We googled to find somewhere nice and the reviews were not wrong. The selection was great whether you are after a health breakfast or a naughty one. They’ve not compromised on quality at all despite being a small cafe and I would definitely eat here again. 10/10 thank you.

Small but good coffee, stunning piece of Basque Cheesecake, beautifully cooked, generous portion. I think I'd like everything that this passionate Baker produced, frankly. You can buy a decent sized sour dough bread to order, at a reasonable price, in my opinion. Nice-nice, very nice, will return soon as. Take away only.

Amazing food, huge portion sizes and some of the best quality food I've had for a while from a brunch spot. The food came out hot aswell which can not be taken for granted these days. The service today was a little slow but they were full today with every table taken. The waitress was amazing and apologised about the delay. Really enjoyed everything but was defeated by the portion size. Will be back if I'm in the area again.

Disappointed Visit to Kai Went to Kai today with the family, looking forward to some delicious pancakes and French toast — unfortunately, we left feeling quite let down. Both the pancakes and French toast were dry and bland, definitely below average and not what we were expecting. The service didn’t help either; the staff seemed uninterested and low on energy, as if they were just waiting for the shift to end. On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant and the place itself had a nice vibe, but sadly the food and service just didn’t match up.

Visited Kai in Leicester and really enjoyed it. The food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good — fresh ingredients and great flavour combos. We waited around 10 minutes which was perfectly reasonable. The place had a nice atmosphere too. Definitely worth checking out if you're after a quality brunch spot.

Visited the other day, amazing food especially the pancakes. The nicest pancakes i’ve had out before, huge portions and plentiful toppings.

We ordered a royale from the main menu and a courgette, egg, potato, and pesto dish from the weekly specials— both dishes were delicious, with good portions and reasonable prices. The only downsides were that the cappuccino and hot chocolate weren’t served hot enough, and if you’re a table of two, they insist you sit at a two-seater table rather than a booth, which is understandable but still disappointing (during lunch hours). The tables for two are also placed very close together, so it feels like you’re almost in conversation with the people next to you, as you can hear everything. Overall I would recommend.

Food is really good, would highly recommend. My only issue is that it takes a while for them to take ur orders and for the food to arrive. It is a bit pricey aswell so bare that in mind.But other than that its pretty good.

We came here for some drinks, and as per every Cosy Club I've been to around the country, this place didn't disappoint. It's a lovely characteristic building, with tasteful quirky decor and the staff were as every very helpful and joyful. We didn't sample the food, but will be back. Can't recommend enough.

We celebrated my god-sister’s retirement party at Cosy Club Leicester and had a wonderful time. The staff were excellent, and the gentleman looking after our section was especially attentive. He made sure I had my own platter to accommodate my dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated. I cannot fault the staff or the service – everything was spot on.

We recently visited Cosy Club Leicester for lunch, a venue we've enjoyed for brunch and lunch over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, this latest experience was a significant disappointment, primarily due to the poor service we encountered. Upon arrival, we were shown to our table by a young hostess who seemed quite unfriendly. She seated us right in the middle of two large tables, which was not ideal for our family, especially with two hungry children. I asked my 7-year-old son to politely request if we could be moved to a different table. The hostess replied that all other tables needed cleaning. This response seemed reasonable at the time, but what happened next was quite surprising. Just two minutes later, another family of four arrived, and they were offered a choice of where they would like to sit. This stark contrast in treatment left us feeling overlooked and undervalued. It seemed like our request was dismissed without much consideration, while others were given more flexibility. We decided to make the best of the situation and stay at our table. The food at Cosy Club has always been a highlight, and this visit was no exception. The meals were fantastic, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. However, the excellent food was overshadowed by the subpar service. The waiting staff seemed disorganized and unresponsive to our needs. One of the most frustrating moments was when we asked for the dessert menu. We requested it four times, but no one brought it to us. It was as if our requests were being ignored. This lack of attention to detail and care for customer satisfaction was disappointing. To top off the poor service, there was an error with our bill. Initially, I was charged the wrong amount, and then the staff came back to inform me that they had actually charged me £20 less than intended. This confusion added to the overall sense of disorganization and incompetence. Given the combination of rude service, inconsiderate seating, and billing errors, we have decided not to dine at Cosy Club Leicester again. It's unfortunate, as we have enjoyed our previous visits, but this experience was too disappointing to overlook. Hopefully, they will address these issues to improve their customer experience.

Came for a family meal to celebrate my 30th birthday. Was a pleasant welcome with the offer of a birthday prosecco to start our evening 🥂 We've visited other local Cosy Clubs but this one offered a different vibe, in a really good way. The service was walking in to leaving was perfect, food we had was great (I absolutely love the bowl of olives, we couldn't get enough of them) and the drinks we tried were great. We had olives and laffa bread for starters, Smash Burger, Spanish Chicken and Tofu green curry for mains and then we tried the tiramisu martini for dessert! 😲😍 A lot but amazing! Would recommend for sure and will definitely head back for another meal or just drinks. 🙌🏼🥂

Food and service really very good. Only drawback and you could say this about 99% of restaurants is that there was a limited vegan option which means repeat visits won't happen that often as would be eating the same meal. But we all loved what we had and would totally recommend.

5 of us went for brunch today. The food was mediocre, but ok. The drinks were very nice though. One chap who served us (20s? With a ponytail) was lovely. However the lady with pink hair (who I think might be the manager) spoilt the atmosphere by showing her irritation with the rest of the team. It was very awkward for us sitting at the table as she berated those around her. I wouldn’t go back.

A young man whose name is Will looked after all 13 of us, he even remembered which dish went to each person. He was happy, attentive and patient with us. He made our whole experience unforgettable. The food was excellent, my compliments were also sent to the chef! I recommend Turtle Bay Leicester to anyone who is looking for a fantastic meal in a lovely atmosphere despite the service charge.

went in waited to be seated for 10 minutes once seated no orders were taken for 30 min then another 45 for it to be served it wasn't busy maximum 6 tables in the restaurant with mutiple employees working other we had another customer who came 20 minutes after us eat and pay his bill and leave for 10 min before we got our food the beef burger was burnt on the bun and patties tasted burnt as well poor service poor food

I visited The Stanhope Arms on Saturday 15th February 2025. I was very disappointed as we booked a table for 7pm and the kitchen stops serving at 8pm so we couldn’t have dessert. We did not know this when booking. The food was mediocre and garlic bread and onion rings were hard. When we first arrived we were told hotel guests had priority. We had booked a table but should not be told a hotel guest is more important. The restaurant needs a make over. Seats were ripped and a soap dispenser was missing the case in the toilets. The was one waitress having to serve drinks, take food orders and bring food to the table. No staff. Had I known the restaurant was closing early I would not have booked as we could not have desserts and this was for a special occasion. Head Office don’t give a toss and ignored my email.

We had a terrible experience. We arrived 12.20, ordered 12.40. This was alright, as we were due to arrive at 12.30 but were a bit early. My 13 year old brother has Sausage and mash, peas and corn on the cobs. My 7 year old brother and my mother both had the 3 mixed meats roast dinner and I had just the beef roast dinner. The food arrived 1.58pm, so we waited for over an hour, which probably would have been longer if my mum hadn’t complained to the staff about the wait. I’d also like to add that several other people who arrived long after us were served before us, many ordering the roast dinners too. The menus do not have prices on them, so you don’t even know the cost of what you’re ordering. Also, as it was Mother’s Day, we were only given the Mother’s Day menu and the children’s menu, so there was a significant lack of options to choose from. Our meals turned out to be £65.49, which is atrocious considering how underwhelming it was. The food was lukewarm at best. The potatoes were soggy and, rather than tasting ‘crispy’ (which the menu claims) and fresh, they tasted like they had been previously frozen. The Beef was chewy and near to inedible. I have braces in and couldn’t eat the beef on my plate, as it was so chewy that it would get stuck on my brackets, causing me to keep choking. The mash, carrots and peas tasted boiled and were not rememberable and the gravy was watery (a jelly-like substance poured out of the cup, too, but I forgot to picture it). The carrots also looked to be somewhat dirty, which can be a food hazard as soil can cause food poisoning. My seven year old brother and mother were not served Yorkshire puddings or stuffing with their roasts. My mum asked the servers about this and they said that they would bring some Yorkshire puddings out for them, but those never came. My 13 year old brother’s meal did not come with 2 corn on the cobs, but 1, despite the menu saying that he would have 2. We asked about the dessert at 2.10pm and it arrived at 2.26pm. Not too bad, but we did order it when we ordered our main meals and we wouldn’t have had it delivered if we didn’t ask. I had the triple brownie off of the Mother’s Day menu, my mother had the apple betty thing, my thirteen year old brother had the brownie off of the kids menu and the youngest wanted just a vanilla ice cream. The younger of my brothers was delivered a brownie, which we said could be returned as he ordered ice cream. The servers insisted that my thirteen year old brother had that brownie alongside the one that he already had. He wasn’t hungry, but they left it with him anyway. Food was wasted in this process, as none of us were hungry for another brownie. We also weren’t delivered spoons with the puddings and had to ask for those, too. I will say that the desserts were all nice, but they do not make up for the disgraceful main meals. The furniture and environment were lacking; the cutlery laid out was dirty and the drinks were served in dirty glasses. The people serving were nice and patient, but the general speed and quality of the place is terrible. I don’t expect much from a pub, but this was genuinely appalling, especially considering the cost of it. They also insisted my mother’s ‘25% off of the food bill’ voucher was only for one meal, so it only took £3 off of the bill when it should have been 25% off of the total! They advertise on their website that if you sign up, you get 25% off (which I will add a picture of below). The lady did take £10 off of the meal for the inconvenience of our experience. One of the waitresses also offered us a round of free drinks, as an apology for the mess of a time. The only thing that is saving this place is the people serving. We were there for well over two hours.

Not many people in when we visited but they had been very busy with 2 functions before we arrived. Service was good, friendly staff who took the time to chat to us. Meals were very nice, will definitely go again.

Just been for fathers day meal.... really good value for money and staff friendly... tho like most places short staffed... food was lovely and plenty of it.... 6 clean plates... consisting of three Sunday carvery.. beef and ale pie... fish pie fish cake and smoother chicken.... all cooked lovely. Great venue especially if you have young children, food isn’t the best to put it lightly. I had a “smash burger” which wasn’t smashed, no point calling it a smashed burger. Wife had the citrus salmon which was full of bones. £8.25 for a slice of bread with some tomatoes on is absolutely insane (bruschetta). Again if you have children it’s great as has play areas outside. Just thought I’d be honest with my food review as it’s quite a big part of the reason for coming out for the afternoon/day.

We booked in advance for a Sunday dinner family meal with my elderly grandparents. Arrived at 12.30pm to see a handwritten note on the door stating that they would not be serving the Sunday roast today due to 'management decisions'. Knowing our chances of finding another restaurant nearby without a booking at 12.30pm was very slim we begrudgingly had to stay. The menu choice is mediocre, the food was extremely basic and we left feeling utterly disappointed with the whole experience. There was zero atmosphere and, considering there were only about 8 people in the restaurant (us taking up 6 of those spaces!!) the hoodie wait for food was laughable.

Saturday Morning Breakfast! The food was unlimited and cooked to order and tasted lovely. We really enjoyed taking our coffees outside after we'd eaten and enjoyed the lovely garden to the rear! 🙂 I just want to say that the staff were lovely and friendly, especially the General Manager Emma. She couldn't do enough for you, so polite and professional! 😊 The Stanhope also offer a generous loyalty scheme as well! 👍 UPDATE We've just enjoyed a beautiful mixed grill to celebrate Claire's Birthday! If it's your Birthday you get a main meal for free but you need to register first (you need to see the terms and conditions). A shout out for Fred!! We came for the finest wine tasting experience and had the best time. We were served by Jessica and she explained all the wine and what each one paired with food wise. She told us at the end she has only worked here about a month, but we never would have guessed that with the amount she told us about the wines. 10/10 would recommend. We had a lovely time. Wines were great and so was the food.

We ordered the trip to Sicily for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time eating our meat and cheese board whilst sampling great wine from the region. Our host Donna was very knowledgeable on the area and the wine and made our experience even more special. Would definitely recommend.

We experienced the trip to Sicily at Veeno in Leicester. Absolutely an amazing experience. Mishka was very good and explained all the wines and which food goes with which wine overall great experience would come back again.

Great welcome, great food and service. Our waitress was delightful. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing that let them down was the ladies restroom, with a seat too small for the toilet. Maybe it’s not important in the grand scheme of things, however personally I think the restrooms should be as lovely as everything else. Wouldn’t put me off returning, but hope they see this and do something about it.

Very pleasantly surprised!! Had fish, chips, mushy peas, tartar sauce, melt in the middle fish cake on a bed of spinach, with skin on chips, lasagna and salad, each £6.00! All delish and a good size portion! Wonderful for a cheap lunch, well done!

Had a great lunch with friends. Good was good but gammon a tad small. Eggs and chips were perfect. Very reasonably priced. Excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only gave 4 stars for atmosphere as a bell kept going off which was annoying

We arrived yesterday to stay in the hotel and we were starving. The staff were so friendly, we had some banter with them. I wanted the veggie lasagna but with chips instead of garlic bread and they did it no questions asked. I also had sticky toffee pudding and I'm mad on custard. I mentioned this to the waitress and the kitchen gave me a very generous helping 😋 My partner very much enjoyed his mixed grill and cheesecake too. All around a very good experience. Thank you.

One of our favourite places to come for breakfast. Outside is dog friendly and food is always lovely. I would like to say a special thank you to Kerry who made our visit so lovely and went above and beyond to make sure us and our dogs had all we need.

Handy, clean, lovely staff and a perfect example of a hotel attached pub/eatery. We had breakfast and dinner there and were pleased with both, dinner was from the £6 per meal menu and breakfasts was part of our premier Inn room deal. Both were great

Food is adequate and drinks not badly priced. Staff are friendly and attentive. Fits the bill for a cheap pub lunch, but nothing to write home about. Would be more than adequate for an evening meal if staying at the premier inn next door.

Today was our second visit to OTBP, it came highly recommended from a good friend of ours known to the cafe as “Monday Jane” A few weeks ago she had bought my father in law a piece of cake to try and he remarked “That was beautiful!” So it was only natural that we wanted to “pop in” ourselves and see all the goodies. The food is delicious! It’s so nice to go somewhere and know that everything is freshly made, It was lunchtime and although they were busy the service was prompt and super friendly. It’s a 25 minute drive for my father in law, but Lynne and Wayne have created such comfortable and welcoming environment, with fantastic home cooking that he’s more than happy to make the journey……..and stock up on cake! 🍰

Stumbled upon this place today and I am so glad I did. We had one coffee and one tea and then a load of cakes. The cakes are all homemade and my goodness they are amazing. I had a millionaires shortbread and then had to buy another to take home. If you are passing then I definitely recommend it and if your not then make a special journey 😀. People are super nice too and the service was fast and efficient.

Hiding in plain sight, just from the busy shopping area, this is a perfect cafe for light refreshment and a chat. Serving breakfast, lunch a tea in a pleasant and timely fashion, in an informal atmosphere, it has found its niche.

Lovely coffee place, great food. My boyfriend had a "Melton plate" which he very much enjoyed and is particularly good value for money. Ample selection of sandwiches/toasties/paninis at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff, highly recommended.

Second visit here on market day, yet again excellent, had decaf lattes , cheese scone and fruit scone. Both very nice with lurpak butter. Dog friendly establishment, staff nice and friendly so highly recommended place if in Melton Mowbray

Went out with my BF on a date to the movies and found this place after for food. Never been to before but it peeked our interest. We do love trying new places. Though with me being vegan, I do worry sometimes about trying new things from places I haven’t been to before. But wanted to give it a try. He chose the fish and chips and I gave the ‘Wild mushroom risotto’ a go, never had before. To my surprise, I really enjoyed it. It was really nice and had such flavour to it. I’d definitely have it again. We also got pudding, of course. I got the vegan brownie which was so rich and soft, the sorbet with it was so good also. Then my bf got the white chocolate & passionfruit cheesecake which he really enjoyed also. Another thing is that I don’t drink, so finding a place which has fun options also for me is a plus. As I do like to give mocktails a go if I can. I got the ‘painters punch’ and ‘elderflower mint fizz’ both were really good and it’s nice to be able to enjoy a good and fun drink also rather than having a basic option. Also, staff were really kind and fun to be around. Seemed like they were enjoying each other’s company and having good conversations. Thank you to you all!

2025 update Had a fantastic meal here. A really good menu that isn't your normal pub food. Well presented and very, very tasty. Superb service and friendly staff. A bonus too that dogs are allowed. 2024 Dropped in for a pint after a curry with the lads. Excellent service from the bar staff. Good selection of drinks and plenty of cosy seats.

We've been coming here for quite sometime. Unfortunately in recent weeks since their new menu came out, it has significantly gone downhill, which is extremely disappointing as it was one of our favorite go-to spots for lunch/dinner. Many of the menu items seem unfinished and lacking in flavour. Hopefully this place will turn around soon and bring things back to the standard they used to be at otherwise I'll have to find a new pub.

I enjoy having brunch here. It seems like a good pub. I would really like to see what it is like at night here, so I'm going to come back for that experience. I found food very tasty and customer service was friendly. I found asking to pay immediately for each thing you ordered odd. I think it's better to have one bill at the end of your stay especially as we were seated. Update: I went back at night and it was smashing! I was transported back to a proper Irish pub. Food wise, the burger was very plain.

Overall, fine. There's an area upstairs which is quite cosy plus enjoyable with two table tennis if you fancy a game. I haven't tried the food, but it looked appetising.

We booked the upstairs for a private event. Remy and Andy looked after us all night, 65 people that wanted to enjoy a post covid get together and it was great fun. The upstairs has beer pong and ping pong tables for use. There’s a private terrace for those that need regular fresh air, we also had a buffet meal for everyone with both veggie and non-veg options. The food was tasty and fresh and the service was fantastic. Recommended for private parties and events

Bugs everywhere! I checked in the room about 7:30pm and found 2 beetle-like bugs. One on the floor and one on the bed. Being in the country I didn’t think much of it, popped them out the window. Went to the restaurant and had dinner. Got back to the room around 9pm, did some reading/ work and watched some tv, found another in the bathroom and a couple by the window, so decided to close the window as it was backing onto a field so though maybe they were coming from the crops in there. Approx. 11:30 I turned the light off to go to sleep, shortly after I could hear an occasional tapping sound and scuttling noise. After a short while I worked out there were bugs coming out of the joists in the ceiling, falling and hitting the tiled floor and this was the noise. Over the next 30 mins or so this kept happening and every time I turned the light on there were anywhere between 3 and 7 visible on the floor, I took quite a few photos as couldn’t believe how many I was seeing, they were in the room and in the bathroom. I determined they were coming out of the gaps between the skirting boards, roof joists and the holes where the radiator pipes go into the ground. I factor I saw at least 40 – 50 of the bugs during this time. I didn’t complain as it was too late and nobody to complain to, I also left at approx. 7am on the Sunday and got home late Sunday night. I emailed the hotel first thing Monday morning and got no reply. Monday morning, I found a small bite by my right nipple, didn’t think much of it, until Monday afternoon I had a very large red and sore area and massively swollen chest. Spoke to a Dr on the phone Tuesday morning who asked me to come in to inspect, she was very concerned at the size, heat and redness of the swelling, especially being so close to my armpit, and prescribed me penicillin, I asked what it was, and they said almost definitely from an insect bite (she had no knowledge of the above). I phone the hotel Tuesday afternoon and spoke with a manager who said they checked the room, and it seemed fine, however after seeing my photos eventually agreed to give me a refund. I feel like is should not need to have penicillin for an infection from staying in a hotel in Leicester! Not to mention the pain and discomfort that came with it. Since the owner has emailed and asked me for the photos and that’s all the contact I have had from them, no apology, no acceptance of fault, so my concern is nothing has been done to remedy the problem and it’s still happening.

Basic and tired room, food again, basic reheated bits definitely not what you would expect from a country pub type location, more wetherspoons chain etc. service was acepable but not exceptional.

We had room 8, with 4 poster bed. It was lovely. It was slightly cold, but it was such a hot day, so it wasn't an issue. Might be in the winter. There was a radiator on there, so could be easily resolved. Breakfast was £14.95, a bit expensive, but it was lovely. Beautifully presented and not too much on the plate. Really enjoyed it. Not alot to do there, but it was pleasant to walk through the village. Close to Market Bosworth and Mallory Park..only 15 minutes from Hinkley if you needed a town centre but shops not particular exciting. Overall, it was a very nice stay. Would recommend.

I have always loved the Royal Arms, because of its location, traditional inn vibe & hospitality, but, this week, I felt compelled to leave a positive review to let people know that they also went above & beyond to accommodate our walking group - no easy task when we all arrive in large numbers at the end of a walk. They managed to serve us with lunch & drinks in a friendly & timely manner, making us feel very welcome. went there for our anniversary meal on 28/6/2025. restaurant looked good but not bust at all and this should have sent a warning signal. I asked if they did cocktails as a treat for our anniversary to be told "we don't do them since covid". they did make up some mocktail for the wife which she said was very nice and that's were all the positives end. I ordered prawn cocktail starter followed by pork medallions, the wife didn't want a starter but ordered pie and chips from the pub classic selection. we waited about 20 mins and the main courses turned up. I asked where is my prawn cocktail was? to be told by the waitress she was going to bring it out in minuet! no starter comes first I replied, to which she took the mains back and brought out the starter. oh boy how bad and perthitic it was! 1 Lettice leaf 6 small prawns, some tiny bits of cucumber£9.50p absolute rip off! finished it in 60 seconds. then the waitress returned with the mains. could it get worse? yes! pork was as dry as a bone, the mash stiff like concrete and the pepper sauce was thin tasteless with the only saving grace there wasn't much of it. the wife's pie was clearly a shop brought one and not home made that consisted of mostly pastry. still couldn't get worse, could it? yes it can ! to try and finish off on a positive note the ordered a coconut panacotta. when she got it , it was served in a canteen style cup and was so small the waitress informed us the chef wasn't happy and brought out a complimentary cheese board consisting of 2 cheeses 5 grapes and some celery. poor poor poor. avoid

One of the best pizza’s I tried in the UK so far! Amazing taste starting from the tomato sauce to the dough! It was my first time here and although it’s quite distant from town, I would definitely come the extra mile again! Service was amazing, people were so friendly and their desserts are a must try! Authentic Italian food! 100% recommend it.

Six Hills Café is an absolute treasure! If you’re looking for real, authentic Italian food, this is the place to be. The pizza is hands down the best in all of Leicestershire, probably even beyond! And don’t get me started on the desserts, they are simply heavenly and all hand made by the one and only Chef Melo. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s no surprise that this spot is always buzzing with people. Booking a table is highly recommended because everyone wants a taste of this amazing place. If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, you need to add Six Hills Café to your must-visit list!

A Proper English Breakfast Done Right! Had a great breakfast here and would highly recommend a visit — you won’t be disappointed! We hired Tylers Tearooms for our baby shower and had the most amazing afternoon tea. The food was absolutely incredible, the service was so friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you to all the fabulous staff who worked so hard to make our celebration special. Highly recommend!

Ate this morning with 3 friends, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, the coffee was fantastic and the service was great. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a meal in Castle Donington. A bonus is they’re open from 8am!

You must visit Tyler’s Tea Room! We had the most wonderful afternoon tea there today. The food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it! There was a fantastic selection of both sandwiches, rolls, sausage rolls, an assortment of quiches and salad. The sweet platter arrived, which was a perfect selection of home baked cakes, biscuits and scones with jam and cream. The tea and coffee was replenished without having to ask. The proprietor and her staff were amazing, very friendly, helpful and attentive hosts. We had a party of 19 and the tables were beautifully set. You must visit Tyler’s Tea Rooms, you will definitely not be disappointed!

My friend took me there for lunch. It's such a lovely small cozy place Quality of the food was excellent, great atmosphere the service was fast. We will definitely be making this a regular. The good thing is they do a good range of vegetarian food for those who are vegetarian. Good street car parking available. Lovely village coffee shop. I moved to the area a couple of years ago and I was pretty happy to find out that this place was right on my doorstep. Service and food are excellent. And the interior is well done, welcoming and cosy. There is a small home section where you can find artisan candles, soaps and stuff like that. They are dog friendly although you are only allowed to sit by the counter if you bring your dog. Recommended if you are in the area. Can get busy in the weekends therefore if you are planning on visiting with friends is probably worth checking if you can book a table.

Recently moved to Market Harborough from London and have been wanting to try this place for a while. I had the breakfast burrito and can easily say it was probably one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. The coffee is great too. I’ll be returning lots!

I I had very much intended to award five stars across the board; however, our experience fell somewhat short of expectation. Upon arriving at 2:40 PM on a Saturday, we were made to feel, quite regrettably, as though our presence was an imposition upon staff eager to conclude their duties. As someone who has long worked in customer-facing roles myself, I firmly believe that every guest should feel warmly welcomed up to—and indeed beyond—the official close of service. Instead, the atmosphere conveyed quite the opposite. Subtle yet unmistakable cues—be it the body language of the staff, the sense that every request for food or drink was treated as an inconvenience, or the sweeping directly beneath my mother’s feet and beside my young child—left us feeling rushed, pressured, and decidedly unwelcome. Guests who have purchased and are seated should be afforded the courtesy of enjoying their chosen refreshments without such implicit signals to depart. It is particularly disheartening, as the setting and the offerings themselves were most enjoyable, but the experience was irreparably tarnished by the staff’s conduct. A true mark of excellent service is not merely in what is served, but in how guests are made to feel. On this occasion, sadly, we were left with the impression that our custom was less appreciated than it ought to have been. To have spent what we did, only to be made to feel that we were inconveniencing the very staff our payment supports, is wholly unacceptable. Indeed, it was not only ourselves who felt this way—every guest present appeared equally rushed, including a lady who was visibly upset that she could not enjoy her chosen beverage without being compelled to complain at the doorway. If patrons are not to be permitted the time or courtesy to enjoy the refreshments they have purchased, then, frankly, the establishment does not deserve the money that has been so willingly paid—money, I might add, which ultimately supports the wages of those staff members who made us feel unwelcome

Lovely village. I have looked forward to visiting this place for some time. But unfortunately I thought it was average. I have paid less for more. I think they rely on the location. The portion size wasn't generous. The food was cold. The plate was cold. The waitress forgot our cutlery and when I got up to get the cutlery myself was was told that it would be brought over....while I watched another waitress take another minute to carefully wrap a knife and fork in a napkin before they wandered over and handed them over. It all looked a disorganised. The food was OK, I had avocado and poached eggs, but the salad with the dish was on the turn. Not good enough for 32 quid for breakfast for two.

It was a busy weekend when we went, and I think that’s impacted the stars I’m giving here. I would return. I can see promise in their food, and I’m sure less rushed the service would be nice and friendly.

We recently hosted a private event for 20 guests enjoying pizza and Prosecco. The staff were brilliant, professional and accommodating. Everybody had a great time and really enjoyed the food. We’ve since been back a few times, the place is very popular and the food and drinks are always of a high standard. The breakfast stack as a weekend brunch treat is a thing of beauty. Today I enjoyed the weekly special Asparagus with chilli fried egg, Parma ham and Parmesan on pesto sourdough. A really lovely, balanced plate of fresh, tasty food. They really care about preparing great ingredients well. I’m gushing a bit because a local independent business that constantly delivers good quality and value deserves praise. Bowden Stores fits that bill.

What a find this was... Great place to stay when visiting the steam railway. Our room (The rabbit hole) was huge and well equipped, with patio doors onto a private seating area. Comfy bed and hot shower. Knocked off 1 star because the green safety light in the middle of the ceiling is so bright we didn't sleep well. A sleep mask would of done the trick. The staff were very nice, friendly and accommodating. We didn't have breakfast but our evening meal was really very good. Very large portions. Would love to go back and would definitely recommend.

We attended my nieces wedding here. Wow! From start to finish everything was well timed, very organised and beautifully presented. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. The room was set out lovely. The staff were all very polite and worked very . hard. Best wedding reception I have ever attended. Well done to all the staff and management. We didn't stay in the rooms, so can't comment on them.

Had a wedding reception here. Everything was just excellent. Stayed overnight, rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also very good. Works really well outside space with boules and croquet set.

Had dinner in the restaurant on a sunny Friday evening. It was incredibly busy, but the service was flawless and the food very good. The staff were all young in their 20s, but you’d think they had decades of experience in top end London restaurants the way they managed a full house of covers whilst remembering to smile and engage despite being so busy. A really enjoyable meal and look forward to next time.

Excellent Sunday Lunch (maybe the roasties could have been a little less soggy ), apart from that it was another satisfying visit to the Manor. Place was very busy when we arrived, but this did not have a negative impact on the service. Matt looked after us from start to finish, always appearing at the right time to deal with our requirements. Well done to the entire team who have contributed to the Manors 20 years of excellence.

Shout out to the steak night on Thursday evenings. 2 fillet steaks with all the trimmings, a choice of sauce and a bottle of wine for £60. Perfect for a treat with a mate or a meal with your significant other... Steak is top quality too.

If your looking for a bit of looking after and some decent food you can't go wrong yet you pay for what you get. Not overly priced but expect to add a few pennies here and there . Nice and quiet when the road not busy and the Steam train passes a few times over the weekend so all good 👍

St Martin's Coffee and Crafty is a place where you can reliably come for a great coffee or food for any reason. There are two floors and the seating is pleasantly spaced out. The natural light coming in from the upper floor and the decor help you forget you're in the heart of the city centre if you need to.

An integral pillar of Leicester’s food scene. Unrivalled value, portions, flavour, atmosphere and people, this place has stood the test of time and gives the St Martins area its buzz. Clearly a thought out restaurant it has an ethos and relaxed nature and the experience is nailed every time, I’m content, sated and can’t wait to come back again. Coffee is superb as well, pork belly bites in particular are worth getting. We often do not book as there is a lot of space but Saturdays for 4 or more could be busier. For breakfast brunch lunch or dinner, this is the place.

It’s table service here. Once you enter the cafe, make sure the reception knows where you’re going to sit and wait for someone to come take your order. But the service was extremely slow to the point that I had to go to the counter and make an order. The day I went, there were only few customers. 90% of the tables were empty, yet they took so long to serve me. The coffee was decent but the blueberry loaf cake was desert dry. Disappointed.

Disappointed – Sunday 5th October 2025 Visited today for Sunday lunch and left feeling really let down. We ordered two roast dinners — one pork, one beef. The pork came with three slices of meat, but most of it was covered with a thick layer (about 1.5cm) of fat halfway round each slice, plus crackling. By the time I’d trimmed it all off, there was barely a full slice of actual meat left. The bill came to £95 for two roasts, two desserts (£12 each), two beers, a Campari and a glass of house red at £8. The ginger sticky pudding was decent, though not worth the price, and the pear crumble — served in a sundae glass — was bland and far from premium in flavour or presentation. For a gastropub Sunday lunch, the pricing is comparable to somewhere like The Oak Room at The George in Stamford, but sadly the quality and attention to detail didn’t match. I mentioned the issue with the pork, but nothing was done about it — disappointing, as it shows little regard for returning customers. It’s a shame, because the rest of the roast was lovely and the atmosphere is always great. But with so much competition for good Sunday lunches locally, we’ll be going elsewhere next time.

We called into this awesome place, welcome and friendly. The food is out of this world and a nice selection. Puddings were delicious. Lovely outdoor space next to the brook. Perfect for any time of the year. We will be returning on a regular basis.

Went here for Sunday lunch in the bar, food lovely, service need attention... Had to ask for table water, fresh cutlery every course, had to ask for sauces, went to the bar each time we wanted a drink, everyone else seemed to get table service ,ordered a coffee , that never came, disappointed overall,

We had been wanting to eat here for a while as friends recommended it. On arrival we felt unwelcome as they immediately told us food service finished soon ( 25 minutes after we arrived ) Having been seated in a courtyard ( couldn't see anyone sat inside ) we were handed menus which read well which many do. When our food arrived the food looked over cooked ,prepared with no skill or care, burnt but raw leek( not charred ) , odd brown mashed potato, basic white mushrooms not wild mushrooms as per menu. Overcooked fish, spring veg, unpeeled broad beans, tasteless sauces & burnt chips. Yes the bill was only £70 for the two of us which is standard price nowadays but when its not even good pub food and the place is considered a destination pub/restaurant we expected better. Service was pushy with staff attempting to take plates before my partner had finished. There was no point complaining as we were made to feel unwelcome and rushed from the moment we arrived. We have contacted the manager and been offered a meal to same value but only if we book so they know who we are, we have refused this and said we want to visit anonymously otherwise it will be the same experience they give those awful food influencers which in my eyes is not a true reflection of a real customer experience

I give this 4,5 stars. Great service, got here after 2.30 which is when service stops serving food, but the kitchen kindly agreed to make a starter. Quite expensive but very good quality and all in a beautiful setting.

We are new to the area and we wanted to try something other than Costa coffee. We were welcomed and ordered veg pizza which was so tasty and full of flavour. Great selection of sources as an addition which hit the spot. We ordered coffee better than Costa. The team are so friendly and place is clean with good vibes. We indulged in a delightful experience with their coffee and cakes. The coffee was exceptionally lovely, while the cakes were decent. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable. Additionally, the cafe offers outdoor seating, allowing you to bask in the sun and observe the world pass by.

My 2 daughters came today one ordered a classic cheeseburger but no cheese and lettuce was rotten my other daughter had a burger and chips, chips rock solid and burger had a hair embedded into it. The mayonnaise used was thinned down like water also. Absolutely shocking for what is meant to be an Italian shop. They certainly won't be back

We went in on New Years' Eve for the first time for some coffee and a sweet breakfast. The Nutella mocha and Nutella, banana and ice cream crepes were amazing! Nice, cosy vibe with quiet music in the background and friendly staff members. Will definitely return!

Mediocre at best. Ordered the meat sharing platter and expecting something more authentic and Italian for the money but was a poor selection of cheap tasteless food. The “selection of authentic Italian breads” on the side was just a panini cut into strips. Coffee was nothing to rave about either. Won’t be returning.

I absolutely love this little independent cafe in Hinckley, it’s such a nice place to go for a coffee. We haven’t been for food yet but I’ve heard very good things about it. The venue looks beautiful and I particularly like the cosy little room in the back where you feel like you are in your own little world. There is even outside seating for when it’s warm and sunny. It was a godsend during the Soap Box Derby in the summer, you can avoid the crowds but still see what’s going on. The coffee is superb and the little almond biscuits were so nice we bought a pack to take home. Excellent cafe, highly recommended.

My favourite café ever. Love coming here. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is always incredible! I have tried everything from bruschetta, to pizza, to wraps, to cake (which is my favourite)! Always 10/10 every time. There is also such a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. A great place to come and finish my work if I need to get out and about. Always rave about this place to everyone!

Spot on place . Staff were great and the food was hot , tasty and good price . Pot of tea was enough to make three teas and was amazing . So light and sunny inside, lots on offer - breakfast stops at 11.30 but hot and cold food available like sandwiches, jacket and salads and the prices are so reasonable! Exceptional and very personal service - lovely interactions with the regulars. Can't believe it took me so long to try. Toilets located upstairs.

Came to have a sandwich and hot chocolate at a Saturday lunch. It was very busy and there was a wait for food, but staff were lovely and beat the time estimate given. Food was really good (I had a beef, stilton and onion chutney sandwich) and the hot chocolate was amazing. Very filling though!

We stumbled across Holly’s by accident, I was hoping to find somewhere wholesome and independent for lunch and this ticked all of my boxes. Eating tasty food makes me really happy, and the salad bowl from Holly’s made me so SO glad. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous and it was just so beautifully put together. And so reasonably priced! On top of this the staff were extremely lovely. We will definitely be back.

One of the best breakfasts in Leicester. They don't skimp on produce, always good quality. I love the scrambled or poached eggs on proper thick cut bread. It's recently changed ownership but for me it's exactly as it was before. Perfect!

Lovely deli with options to eat in or take away, great selection of sandwiches, and options for jacket potatoes, salads, hot meal of the day and soup of the day. There’s also things from scotch eggs and samosas to brownies available… and of course cold drinks/coffee. We really love treating ourselves to a local lunch here as a treat and the staff are always really nice. Tried one of the smoothies today too which was perfect for a hot day!

Very well supported little deli in the middle of this village..but given there's little else, maybe that's the reason! Sandwiches and panini's pretty average tbh and, a personal opinion, way over priced! £3.60 for a coffee is a tad too expensive in my opinion. Went in yesterday and bought a Hot Roast Pork cob with sweet chilli jam and stuffing. Took one bite and had to throw it away as it was like eating a cob of pure salt. What a waste of money and no lunch. Wont be going again.

This has been one of my favourite spots for english breakfast. Sizes are good and always cooked well. Staff are always ready to help, reasonably priced. Good option just before you head for your shopping in town. You can park your car on the street (pay and display) or in any parking lots in the city centre. Food is halaal.

We were really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing. I asked for medium eggs with my breakfast, but they came out well done, and there were barely any mushrooms on the plate. My partner ordered the chicken wrap, but the salad tasted old and not fresh, so she couldn’t finish it. The service also wasn’t great. No one really paid attention — we sat at the table for quite a while after eating, with no one coming over to clear the plates or check if we needed anything else. Overall, the visit didn’t meet our expectations. Hopefully, things improve, as the place does have potential.

Had a chicken mayo and mozzarella panini, half the cheese was on the plate half was in the panini, there was no chicken inside one of them and the chips were undercooked. This is a fake version of the old norah cafe and I can tell but I thought I’d give it a try. Would not recommend at all.

Came in for a quick bite after viewing the store cattle at the livestock market. I had bacon, brie and cranberry panini. Nice portion size and good prices. Atmosphere was but dead (2pm Wed lunch). Service was good. Bacon was nice and thick (hopefully British). Salad tasted fresh. Dad was happy with his set 1 english breakfast. Will be coming back!

Really good cafe, helpful efficient staff with good food. Had breakfast here last week, sat on the front patio and really enjoyed our visit. Prices are very reasonable and food was hot and tasty.

Right in the center of town, it easily lives up to its name. Great spot to eat on the run. Similar to a music event this cafe is well orchestrated. The cook does meet and greet from behind the griddle while deliver drinks and meals efficiently. All runs smoothly in a warm atmosphere.

Best coffee in Melton in my opinion. Great cafe, friendly and welcoming. Lovely pancakes and cooked breakfasts. However made the mistake of trying the beef Sunday lunch and this was not good. Sorry but stick to what your good at, frozen yorkshire, mushy cabbage, 2 small, very thin slices of beef from a packet I think, definitely not carved from a joint. Was still hungry afterwards. Will not have that again, dreadful! but still my favourite cafe in Melton.

Lovely little cafe. Stopped in for a cup of tea which was served in a proper tea pot! It was nice. I didn't have time to stop and try the food but the plates on the table across from me looked incredible. Great service too.

Had a catch up with my good friend of many years.We had breakfast in Muzzys.I decided to try Turkish tea and Turkish breakfast and. My friend had a full English. The cafe was busy but staff friendly and efficient.Food good quality and reasonably priced. Highly recommend

Brilliant! I've just been here with my family and had a vegan version of the veggie breakfast. It wasn't on the menu but they put it together for me with avocado, artichokes, olives, all sorts - it was amazing! We'll definitely be returning!

Went for lunch there. Good size portion, thick slice of avocado, very fresh salad, delicious caleslaw. Great place to go for breakfast and lunch, good prices and many options to go for.

Called in for breakfast Friday morning, one of us had the omelette, the other avocado on toast. Everything top notch: quality, portion size and value. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for some sandwiches and we were absolutely blown away by Welton’s amazing culinary creations!! The presentation was nothing short of spectacular, and the taste left us wishing we had a second stomach. We had the BLT (definitely not your mom‘s BLT from your childhood!) And the Porky pulled pork barbecue. The former was delicious, with generous toppings, a delicious mustard, and gorgeous artisan bread. And the latter was tender and juicy pulled pork with a beautifully spicy sauce that’s got us already planning a return visit. Well done, Welton’s!!

Randomly stopped by for breakfast, was a pleasant stop. Had a nice, interesting selection of toasties and also products.

Nicest place ever. Having just moved to the area we were desperate to visit. Weltons is a true delight. Staff and food amazing. The shop sells everything. Lovely, quaint and picturesque. Can't wait to return. Beautiful stroll around the surrounding area. We are so lucky to still have such wonderful places like this. Back soon ❣️

We visited Weltons for a family get together, 15 people all told, so glad we did, the food was excellent the service second to none, can't recommend highly enough, I think everyone who came would visit again, thank you to all the staff who made us feel very welcome 🙂

Weltons is always a great brunch spot to visit, I had the delicious sausage bap with homemade marmite butter and caramelised onion. My boyfriend had the eggs royale with poached pear - we loved it. Very trend setting, flavourful and we felt great eating it! The waitress always does a fantastic job and is effortlessly bubbly and kind :)

I ordered a picnic for four people to be collected at 8.45am as we had hired a boat that day from 9am. The deli staff had everything freshly prepared and ready to go. What a picnic! Absolutely delicious. Thank you.

Popped in for brunch after visiting the nearby health centre with my elderly parents. Met with a really warm welcome and shown to a table. The owner's kindly tweaked my dad's order for him and within minutes warm and freshly cooked food arrived. I had the pancakes which were divine. Great food and service, wish I didn't live so far away from this little gem! Very well priced too.

Came in with my friend and had 2 chicken gyros, they were lovely but when I’d ate half of mine I found a pink acrylic nail inside of it, I’m too awkward to complain to staff so left the rest of my food as it made me feel sick and left.

Great authentic cafe, the owner is brilliant, makes you feel very welcome. The range of food is really good, it’s great being able to see your food being cooked and it tastes superb, fresh and well presented. There’s easy free on site parking for up to 2 hrs and it must be good as there were plenty of regulars who the owner knew what they wanted to drink before they even asked. If you’re in Ashby and you want quality authentic food with a nice Mediterranean twist then it’s well worth the visit.

Lovely peaceful place to sit and have a coffee. Parking available right outside. A good selection on the daily specials board. Didn't try the food but it looked very nice

Always very relaxing and calm atmosphere, staff are lovely and friendly. My go-too for gluten-free breakfast. My husband loves the big breakfast in a pan. Aways great food and service. They even do take-aways and deliver locally.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere to come locally for a coffee and something to eat. Nice to be able to walk somewhere from the village. Table partly cleared before both of us had finished straight into washing up bowl. Would have been better to have waited until both finished and used a tray, but felt like youthful inexperience. Avocado and egg on a muffin just felt lacking a little. The service was friendly. Overall a great facility for the village all the same. Will return.

Had a takeaway lunch. Was disappointed with what I got in the end. Tuna melt ciabatta with little filling. Small portion for £8. Staff were friendly and the place is a nice setting. Maybe they should look at pricing for takeaway. Would I go there again, yes but not for food. Would I recommend for takeaway lunch, probably not.

Great little cafe. Felt like a real hub of the community. Other customers were friendly and chatty. The menu had a good range and everything we are was scrummy. Oh and the coffee was awesome!! Thanks

Absolutely overpriced , food was terrible , walked in for a sandwich walked away with a maxed out credit card won’t be back. Sausages was cheap wouldn’t feed to my dog !!!!

I ordered sandwich platters,very last minute I may add,they delivered to my door with complimentary sausage rolls!!!! The sandwiches were delicious,plenty of fillings,so so fresh,presented beautifully. I honestly can't reccomend enough. Thank you very much and I will definitely use you again......5⭐

Have been to this cafe on several occasions when it was the cafe on the corner and was looking forward to the same amazing breakfast. The staff the cafe all good however the food was nasty watery tomatoes,tastless cheap baked beans sausage was just horrible, undercooked runny eggs bacon was awful no flavour no colour just a lump of mess best was the toast and yet that was burnt on one side oh mushrooms tastless mess

No awareness of basic food hygiene. Saw the cashier eating as I entered and didn’t wash her hands before touching ice for my drink, had to request she washed her hands which she seemed confused by. A real shame as it was a high standard place before new ownership, now they don’t even offer fresh cakes.

We had two roast beef Sunday lunches today. We've eaten here several times, and the food, staff and environment are 1st class. Todays takeaway lunch was great, we couldn't fault anything, and we will not hesitate to have it again.

Sat outside with a friend this morning, drinking lovely coffee. Friendly and attentive staff. Next time I will try the food.

Asked for a cheese salad roll with plenty of onion. The girl wrote this down on the bag as they always do. Got the roll home for Mum to eat - no onion!! Disappointing for an old lady who'd been looking forward to it.

Went for breakfast with my family. Called ahead to reserve a table as it can get very busy. Lovely prompt service, delicious food and we all left with full tummies! They were prepping for Sunday lunch too today and it looked amazing 👏

One of the best café in the area. Meals are never greasy always fresh. Amazing warm and cold drinks. Very clean. A lovely owner with brilliant staff. Plus free WiFi.
