Pub
Restaurant
The Virgins & Castle is a family-friendly 16th-century pub located in Warwickshire. This historic establishment, dating back to the late 15th century, exudes character with its various rooms and niches surrounding two bars and a formal dining area. The pub offers a selection of cask ales, wines, and serves traditional English and Filipino cuisine.
Best pub in Kenilworth by far. Since the new owner Tom has taken over this has become our favourite place to come. All of the staff are absolutely amazing and make it such a friendly place to drink. The food is absolutely amazing, best place to come for food in Kenilworth. Hats off to Corrrine!! Best Guinness in town too 😁

Hosted my sister's baby shower here last week, we had a private room, it was perfect, the decor is really nice! All staff were polite & friendly, they couldn't have done more for us. They provided a buffet (£12.50 pp) and it was delicious, lots of different choices, they catered for dietary requirements with no issues. I would highly recommend here for a private event or even just a meal & drink, you won't be disappointed!
Louise T — Google review
4-Star Review: I had a wonderful evening at this charming old pub! The atmosphere was absolutely lovely, with a warm and cozy feel that made it the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner. It's also dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. The food was delicious and well worth the short wait. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The service was excellent too—friendly, attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience!
Tizer — Google review
Not a great experience here. Firstly, my starter was forgotten, so I was sat waiting while everyone else had theirs. While waiting, another member of the party found an elastic band in the soup - image attached! 15 minutes after ordering, the waiter came back and told us one of our meals was out of stock - surely we should of been made aware of this while ordering! We then have been asked for our desserts orders before even receiving mains. Was just so all over the place. Fish and Chips was just batter no fish. They did remove the elastic band soup and fish off the bill, but doesn’t change the experience we had.
Jordan C — Google review
Bit empty and quiet at lunchtime but very friendly and welcoming, beer was kept well and tasted fine.
Damian F — Google review
Tried to get a table here at 8.50pm and we was turned away. We have always had good food here but the place is run by kids with a bad attitude. Big, big mistake we found somewhere else and gave them our £125 instead. Won't be returning if that's how you treat people which is a shame as food is good. Its not just about the food though, I want to be treated with respect if I'm going to spend good money with you so you need to train your abrupt staff.
Hayley K — Google review
We were a group and had many different orders. I had the steak ale pie. It was very very bad. They just added a block of salt while slow cooking the beef. On top of that the crust and the gravy were also quite off. Probably one of the worst pies I have had in a very long time.
Nurlan L — Google review
Came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon with the dog. It's a lovely old pub with a great atmosphere and clearly very popular with the locals. I'd booked the table in advance but it wasn't particularly busy for tables ordering food. The staff didn't come to take our order so we had to approach the bar which seemed silly given that it wasn't especially busy. I ordered a sandwich and after being told they'd run out of hummus had to go with the halloumi (I was a little disappointed). It was perfectly nice but a little dry. It came with a salad drizzled with an uninspiring dressing. I think £10 for a couple of slices of ciabatta, halloumi and sweet chilli sauce felt a bit expensive.

Gastropub

British restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Kenilworth, The Queen & Castle is a delightful gastropub that combines modern elegance with traditional warmth. This beautifully refurbished pub features a sleek white decor and offers a seasonal menu inspired by British and Mediterranean cuisine. With its inviting courtyard and garden, it’s an ideal spot for any occasion—be it a romantic dinner, a lively gathering with friends, or a cozy family Sunday roast (pets welcome!).
Was in the area hence thought to try it out. Period property with load of character. Ample parking space which you need to validate at the venue for it to be complimentary. Food is great with plenty of choices and the staff is flexible and friendly. The venue is also pet friendly. Really cater all walks of life. And we finished the food (even the kids) that just says it all. Thank you

Local pub with an amazing beer garden and views of Kenilworth castle. Drinks as you'd expect of a country pub and good food menu. Free carpark once you've registered your car on a tablet inside the pub. Cash or card payment welcome.

We visited Kenilworth Castle and after wanted to have some family lunch.I didn’t have a reservation but was seated right away and looked after by Theo. He answered all the questions we had about the food and was a great hostess! The dishes were delicious. Royal but at the same time cosy interior.

Wonderful Sunday dinner food. Plenty of options for all the family, including vegetarians and vegans. Lovely atmosphere in a great historical location. Service from Theo and Cathy was fantastic, even though I spilt a whole bottle of beer all over the table and floor!

Good ole classic pud! Pool table and juke box in side room. Plenty of seats in the main bar. Outside area as well for those sunny days! Also do Baby Guinnesses 🙌🏼

Proper old school pub, welcoming with a good selection of beer and wine and competitively priced. Highly recommend
Paul B — Google review
A traditional pub in the old part of Kenilworth, serving well kept cask ales, within a safe and comfortable environment. Staff are always friendly, with table service. Rear pub garden with outdoor seating and covered patio area. St. Austell ‘Proper Job’ & Tim Taylor ‘Landlord’ usually on tap. Lagers & cider also available. Aaron & his team always provide a genuine warm welcome. Hopefully, live music will return in the near future!

Great traditional pub. Good selection of well kept beers.
Eddie M — Google review
Plenty of seating and quiet music. Beer prices are somewhat higher than average in town, hence the slightly lower score. Not a bad pub, but nothing to make it stand out.

Great local pub. Friendly atmosphere. Owner likes to change up the beer selection now and again

The almanack is amazing, the food is amazing and so are the staff! There is always a warm and friendly vibe. We have visited twice now once for their Monday pizza and wine deal which was amazing value and the chef even came to chat to us about the pizza ! Great value and delicious. We have also recently been to try their Christmas set menu again amazing quality of food and for the price it is well worth the treat.

We had mains and desserts from the team takeover menu and everything was absolutely delicious. Every member of staff was friendly and service was great.
Maddy B — Google review
It’s been a while since our last visit to The Almanack and that wasn't good when we ordered food. Today, I popped in after walking the dog, for a cup of coffee, toast and an egg sandwich. The coffee was good, served quickly. The accompanying smarties, a welcome little treat and nice touch. Unfortunately, after 25 minutes of waiting, many glances to try and catch the eye of any staff member, me and my doggy friend were still waitinging for the toast, for him, and my sandwich. There were three other tables occupied. It was not busy. It’s great to have a place that welcomes mans best friend, but please, can you improve the service? We left after my dog became bored and started to be a bit vocal. After all, I didn't want to disturb the other 9 people in there. Its a lovely venue, but once again, let us down when ordering food. And when I say food, I mean toast. The bar staff kindly refunded the food. Thank you.
Richard B — Google review
Found this restaurant whilst driving past with work, thought that looks ok, checked on the internet and booked for Sunday lunch. Had a lovely 3 course meal and had not 1 thing negative to say about it. When again the following but this time opted for the menu rather than Sunday lunch. Again a lovely meal and nothing negative to say. The staff are friendly and professional, and a shout out to Lilia, only been once before and she remembered us and also remembered that I asked for no peas, that to me shows her quality as I’m sure she had served 100’s of customers over the previous week.
Chris B — Google review
Disappointing. Staff tried hard and my wife's food was good, but my "special" starter was particularly disappointing (small and overdone) and I sent it back. My main was ok but small and decidedly average for the price, sadly I can't say better than that. I was given the bill and it was trumpeted that I wasn't being charged for the starter I didn't eat. Not wanting to spoil our evening, I paid and we left. The wine was great and this place has potential, but I have no desire to return.
Mark W — Google review
The quality of the food is excellent! We also enjoyed the cocktails very much. It's interesting, has a wide range and some very unique. The service quality is very good however I reckon it's pretty understaffed. I only see two persons covering the big section of the restaurant I was in. It is very difficult to get their attention. When I came in and was waiting for a table to be assigned, it took about ten minutes before the waitress was able to served us. Actually, I was about to give up and walk away. But because I am an avid Google Guide and that this restaurant has a good rating, I decided wanted to wait and try out this restaurant. Turns out the food was truly excellent! I was happy at the end of the day.
Alan T — Google review
Very poor customer service experience, we arrived with our toddler, and they took a while to seat us at the table. They then took a further 15 minutes to see if we wanted anything (not even offered drinks). The table also hadn’t been cleaned. At this point, I asked if we could be served. She came to take our order and realised she had given us the wrong menus (brunch not lunch) so we couldn’t order from them. She then took a further 5 mins to find the right menus, eventually brought them over, still didn’t ask us about drinks. After a further 5-10 mins of waiting, and by this point a crying toddler, we told them the service wasn’t quick or good enough and we were leaving. My husband explained I’m 8 months pregnant and to not even be offered a drink within 30 minutes of being there was very poor. They apologised and said they were short staffed. One small positive - we left our toddlers drink cup there and one of the servers did run after us to give it back, which was appreciated.
Laura E — Google review
Walked in and turned right back round and walked out again. Disgusting and filthy. Every table had dirty glasses on them and the place was empty. Staff at the bar just chatting away not giving a monkeys. Seen cleaner service station trucker toilets.

Me and 3 friends attended the quiz. We haven’t been to this pub for many years. The staff were so welcoming . We were given some free shots and some nibbles which we really didn’t expect. The people on the other teams were lovely especially Everest! Just want to say a big thank you on behalf of myself and my friends to everyone including our lovely Mandy the quiz master. The Green Man in Kenilworth is beautifully laid out, with cosy corners, spacious areas and lovely seating. The staff are friendly and helpful. Food is well presented and there is a good selection of wines, beers, ciders and spirits. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a free car park if you register your number plate when you get in the pub. Now, talking about cosy corners, take a look at this video.

Sadly we were left disappointed. It seemed the place was very understaffed when we visited during the week (which I can absolutely empathise with); our small meal (two small starters) arrived not quite as requested, took just under an hour and was cold and rather soggy with sparse ingredients. Wish I was able to leave a better review, but don't think we'll visit again.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of historic Kenilworth, The Abbey Field is a charming establishment that beautifully marries 16th-century elegance with modern comfort. This delightful venue features inviting rooms and a cozy country-style pub where you can indulge in traditional comfort food paired with local ales. After exploring the nearby castle grounds, unwind at this lovely spot known for its friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.
The Abbey Field sits on the main road, on a Sunday evening it serves food to 9.30pm, which is not true for all pubs locally. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.. plenty so no need to book. Good menu with a special board. Good sized portions served quickly. Quality is high and is good enough for taking your parents, good friend or a date. Staff could not be any nicer, attentive but not annoying. Fair prices for the meal and drinks so £25 per person for two courses and drink. Look at the Greene king APP for deals and discounts. Park in the nearby car park or in a side street and walk a bit further. Good walks nearby, also the old Abbey Field and ruins.

Highly recommend this pub ,nestled off Kenilworth highstreet. Staff were very friendly, good choice of menu for adults and kids ,reasonable priced. Atmosphere nice and cosy. The food was delicious! Best roast ive had. Definitely visiting again. Car parking available.
G K — Google review
After a long day visiting Kenilworth Castle, we stopped in here for a well earned early evening meal. All three of us had the turkey roast, and it was absolutely delicious. Tons of succulent turkey, really crunchy roast potatoes, parsnip, peas, broccoli, swede, stuffing, and a Yorkshire pudding. We noticed the advertised pig in blanket was missing from the plate, but the waitress quickly brought them out with an apology, and my goodness, they were large. Full size sausages, wrapped in bacon. Highly recommended.
Alan G — Google review
We made a last minute booking for 12 people and warned them we had a tight turnaround. The staff did a fabulous job! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It wasn't loud despite another large group nearby. Very pleased. Thanks for providing a really pleasant and speedy evening!
Ailsa Y — Google review
Sunday lunch was very disappointing. To say it was barely tepid is no exaggeration. I didn’t complain as my son had treated us and I didn’t want to embarrass him. Our drinks arrived halfway through our meal, despite the pub not being busy. What a shame, as it’s in a lovely scenic location. Sadly, won’t be returning.
Janet S — Google review
Mixed reviews, Found the rooms ok, clean but ours was extremely small! No air conditioning, it was hot. The front staff, housekeeping and bar staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant Chef and Brewer seemed understaffed and unorganized. Food was mediocre, Sunday roast was disgusting and expensive. We ended up leaving most of our 3 meals. The vegan option had the same potatoes cooked in duck fat and gravy as the regular roast meal. The vegan stuffing was fried so hard it was a hard biscuit. The meal was over £100. There are likely better accommodations, and definitely better restaurants in Kenilworth.
Wks — Google review
We booked a family room which is a lovely size and very clean but what’s not advertised is that the window of the room ( room 1) goes onto next doors beer garden which with it being a family room is quite frankly not on we might as well of had our bed in the middle of it, the noise is horrific! You expect a bit of noise staying in a pub but it was quieter in the bar of this pub than it was in our room!
Martin D — Google review
Avoid the Sunday lunch. The carrots and suede we clearly just from a frozen bag, the roast potatoes, parsnips and crackling also did not taste like they were cooked fresh. Very disappointing for the price. The service was also not good as the two waitresses serving our table didn't communicate with each other very well

Nice place for lunch. Good deal with £10 food and a drink. Had coronation chicken sandwich and cajun chicken burger. The chips were nice
Emily C — Google review
My disappointment is immeasurable. We had quite a wait for two sandwiches. And a few problems. For clarity, when ordering I made sure to check "beef tomato" was beef and tomato, not a typo. When that sandwich arrived it was actually just a beef(steak) tomato, which was annoying. But then the real insult was that the kitchen must have been rationing their last tomato. I'm impressed, in a way, that a knife exists that is able to slice a tomato so thinly. £28.70 for a coffee, a coke, 4 slices of bread, a slice of ham, some brie, 6 splodges of avocado, and the Guinness world record holder for thinnest slice of tomato. I'm more upset with myself for actually paying the bill. But I guess we have laws about that, and none about minimum standards of sandwich making. Make of that what you will. Shame really because otherwise it looks like it could be a nice place. Service was friendly but not very organised.
Joshua H — Google review
It wasn’t made clear that it was bar service upon arrival, we were told to take a seat but then had to ask at the bar if it was table or bar service as wasn’t able to flag wait staff down to ask. Food was just okay, we had fish and chips and it was fine, nothing special. Interior is really nice and lots of outdoor seating, just be aware it’s bar service!
Katelyn N — Google review
Fried camonbert was genuinely superb. My wife's chicken fajita was good, too. Although, whilst most of it wasn't that spicy, there was the occasional super-spicy bit. Not well mixed, maybe? The marinade on the chicken was excellent. Unfortunately, my burger was over low quality. I should've guessed, given the low price. You can see from the photo that the meat just isn't good quality meat. Chips were super tasty, though, as was the ketchup—which I rarely have, but this was great tomato ketchup

Would highly recommend the chicken fajitas and lotus biscoff cheesecake 🤎

We waited for 45 minutes for our food with no communication that there was a long wait time. When we asked how long the food was, we were told that it was on its way. We feel as if it was rushed as my french toast with ‘fresh fruit’ came out only with 1 and 1/2 strawberries which were not fresh. We could not finish the food, due to taste and freshness. We also ordered a Pupa-chino for our dog, and the waitress explained that she could do this which foamed milk and dog treats. This was never given to us, even though we were there over an hour due to long waits. One of the waitresses looked at us, and said oh sorry I’ll do the pup-cup now, and it still was never made. Unfortunately, would not visit here again.

We went to lil greens for a coffee and breakfast. We waited 45 minutes for a disappointing breakfast, the order was wrong but we didn’t want to send it back and wait 45 minutes. The French toast describe as ‘with fresh fruit’ came out with two strawberries. The coffee was disappointing, overall not the best breakfast experience. The staff however were very friendly.

Arriving just before 5pm, when their food service begins, the bar staff promptly provided menus and took our order. Our drinks arrived swiftly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. My wife opted for the lasagna while I tried the hickory BBQ burger - both dishes were delectable.
This has to be one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had. The quality, taste and value was unreal. The service was super friendly and without a doubt we’ll be back and would most definitely encourage others to go and give a try.

New landlord has got his work cut out to bring this 1970s style local pub up to scratch after a closure. I wish him well. No food was on or even hot drinks when we visited though they hope to reinstate.

Brilliant evening at the gauntlet in kenilworth. Food way amazing. Staff were so polite and accommodating. The young lady behind the bar was very helpful and made us feel welcome table service was great. The manager ash was off duty but went out his way to cook for us when we mentioned about food. Thank you so much very homely welcoming atmosphere highly recommend.

RockinWarren played live at the Gauntlet last night. When we arrived there were families enjoying food, there were friends having drinks. The venue is a heart of the community type of public house serving food, drinks and providing entertainment. We really enjoyed playing at the pub, the clientele were very friendly. The staff were nice, the pub clean including the toilets. I would recommend any band or artist to play here if they get a chance. Anyone living in Kenilworth this place is a must, a place that deserves support from the local commnity. We hope to back playing at the Gauntlet in 2024. Thank you for having us

Very quiet in here. It like an abandoned pub. Beer's aren't that great. Outside tables are falling apart. Bar service is slow. This use to be a nice pub, but its gone downhill unfortunately.

Spent the afternoon here celebrating our dad's 80tg birthday. Buffet laid on was superb and so big that we all had to take some home! Staff were really friendly and helpful, felt like nothing was too much trouble. The place looks great and the outside is spot on! This place deserves to be rammed every day! Thanks to all the staff for a great family celebration!

We had an 80th Birthday gathering here for my grandad and it was fantastic! Elliott and the team could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much, and they were all very friendly. The pub is beautifully maintained, clean and tidy with a lovely outdoor area. Facilities were all good, and buffet provided was great for all the picky eaters we brought along. Dog friendly and kid friendly was also an added bonus! We will definitely be back for family functions in the future. Massive thanks to Elliot and Co!

Nestled in the heart of Kenilworth, The Tiltyard is a delightful bar and restaurant that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, this charming establishment serves up a menu filled with thoughtfully prepared dishes that cater to various tastes. Guests rave about the exceptional quality of food, from mouthwatering chicken burgers to perfectly cooked rump steaks, all complemented by attentive service from friendly staff. Even those with dietary restrictions find satisfaction here; vegans are welcomed with open arms!
This pub was a real treat! Service was really polite, the food was next level and you could tell it was made with a lot of thought and care. I'm not from the area but I will be back on a year for an event and will certainly be planning a trip to this pub once again. Highly recommended. I got lucky with a table and the staff very kindly slotted me in. I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment as it was quite busy
Emmy A — Google review
I hadn't been to The Tiltyard for years and with Mrs J away for a couple of nights, it was time to revisit. I'd seen that there were new chefs there so that was the pull. And I certainly was not disappointed! Very, very good food, tasty and cooked spot on. The main menu has good choices and isn't too big and there's the specials board, which I chose from. Probably made a mistake in that I ordered 2 mains (not sure if the Masala spiced bao bun was a small plate or main; my fault, should've asked) but so glad I did as it was a chance to try both. Will definitely be back to eat there again. Congrats to the kitchen! One thing if you visit ... look past the time warp of the Lounge. I'm knocking on a bit in age and it reminded me of pub lounges of the 80s and 90s. But this is a neighbourhood pub, not a restaurant, and you know what, I felt comfortable and relaxed. A cosy environment and damn good food ... suits me!

A great local pub with the community at its heart. Hubby and I took advantage of the grill night which is on Thursdays and food was excellent, they have a new chef on board and couldn’t fault the meal, cooked to perfection and so tasty, highly recommend.

Went for lunch. Got 1 of the 3 meals wrong. Was standard pub food, nothing special. Only 2 groups of us in there during half term at lunch and 2 guys outside drinking. Great history and it's detailed on posters around the pub. Not somewhere I would travel too again, but would consider it if passing.

Me and my wife have come to this pub for many years. What brings us back is that it’s like a home from home. Pint of Guinness ready before I order some we have a dinner and I must say it’s always great never a hiccup the head chef always comes to say hello and produces great food

I have eaten here several times and it has been good, but just had the best cooked dinner in a pub ever. If that was three times the price in a Michelin stars restaurant I would not complained. Everything was cooked perfectly.

My mother-in-law booked a family lunch here because the family home was in Kenilworth for many years. Meeting here worked very well. Everyone had a fine meal & lovely family time together.

Came here for lunch and the food was nice! They barely had any food as they were shut for the last 2 days and had to throw everything away but wasn’t made aware of this until we’d already decided what we wanted, additionally it took longer than I’d expected for them to make 2 toasties when it was fairly empty and considering the fact they didn’t have much food. Aside from this I have no complaints about the meal but they could have a few more options on the menu as it’s quite a basic menu so it doesn’t excite me so much to return

Fine dining restaurant
The Cross in Kenilworth is a charming pub and restaurant that has been awarded a Michelin star for its high-quality cooking. Originally an inn from the 19th century, it has been renovated to showcase its original features. The establishment offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly service and a terrace garden for guests to enjoy. The menu features creative British contemporary cuisine made with the finest local ingredients by award-winning chefs.
I really enjoyed my lunch here. As advertised, my experience was relaxed and refined. A complementary cheese snack and bread were provided. Service is on the slower, more relaxed side, giving you time to savour each bite. Dishes were presented beautifully, flavours were well-varied, and portion sizes were perfect. I will definitely be returning to try out more!

Absolutely outstanding. Fabulous food, great service. Honestly, No complaints whatsoever about anything. Our waiter Ucha was superb. Attentive, knowledgeable and interesting. The food? Every morsel was Devine.

We went here as a treat for our Wedding Anniversary, they had a card on our table which was a lovely touch. The staff were friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome. This was our first time at a Mitchell Star restaurant and we were not disappointed, everything was cooked lovely and the care and attention to detail was appreciated. The portions were small but tasty as you would expect with fine dining. Would definitely recommend for a treat, we had the al la Carte menu which consisted of a starter, main and dessert.
T P — Google review
The food was amazing, the setting is lovely. The service is lacking. You should leave a Michelin starred restaurant feeling ‘wow’ - instead, we left going ‘uhhh’. It truly is a shame the food and experience was overshadowed by the service, examples: they never asked us if we needed more drinks (even though our bottle and glasses were empty), we asked for a glass of Malbec to be served with the food, they took the order but never delivered it (still they managed to add to bill which we picked up, not the waiter) - he didn’t even apologise! We also had to ask for our empty glasses to be taken away. Overall, food yes - wow. Service needs to be addressed across all levels. Service from entrance to exit was poor.

We were blown away by the food quality. Everything was developed to perfection. The courses are tiny but you won't leave the restaurant hungry. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere relaxed. Very satisfied with the price quality relationship.
Bologa S — Google review
Nice food, really delicious, but I can't give more than three stars for the service when cutlery is simply placed on the table—not on a napkin, not on a tablecloth, just directly on the table. Thank goodness it's not on the floor. Do they wipe the table before placing the cutlery? They brush it with a brush that's been used who knows how many times before?
Anton S — Google review
Had a lovely meal here, getting the lunch menu. The starters were lovely, and soup was very nice although maybe a little too rich. The mains were incredible, and the desserts were also great. Service was good but took some time, but the overall experience was great!

we only had a cocktail each but we were sat by the bar, and in this time we seen the bar staff dipping straws into the drinks to try them and then taking the drinks over to customers. the hygiene is so poor and would defiantly not rush back there after seeing this, so gross. we also noticed the bar man drinking on shift, out of a wine glass which looked like some sort of shot.

The Good Nice place. Rooms are very nice. Clean, stylish. Bed comfortable. Room was dark and cool. Nice bathroom with good shower. Cool bar with really nice staff. Generally a great place and well worth a stay. The Bad Room above mine must have had a hard floor. Every step was a loud bang. I was therefore kept awake til late and woken up early by the person above me. That’s a major problem. Most rooms won’t have that problem I believe - I was unlucky. I was in room 8. Breakfast needs work. It was very basic and no offer of tea or juice unless you ask the reluctant attendant. I would recommend it for sure but they should work on breakfast and you should make sure you don’t sleep in room 8.

We stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my partner's birthday and loved it here! The rooms are stunning, the cocktails are amazing and the staff are so friendly! Joe is brilliant and really took care of us. We were made to feel very welcome and look forward to visiting again soon.

Booked a couple of nights here for a little break. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Our room was number 9 as we upgraded to the suite. However our first impression was" oh its very brown and dull" needs to be decorated! The linen was lovely, the towels lovely and the elemis products fabulous! It was very clean too. We never used the cocktail bar as we went and eat out. We're not big cocktail drinkers either. The parking ok at the back of the hotel. We stayed in the house. It was very quite. We wouldn't stay there again as I like a more luxurious room. The ensuite was nice with a large shower, but again needs a paint and the blind was rusty.

Hands down the best meal that my wife and I had in all of London. The food was so fresh and flavorful. The land roast was delicious. We can on a Sunday so I tried the Sunday set menu (3 course). My wife had the chicken milanese. We also ordered olives, hummus, with pita bread and the calamari as starters.

Lovely place 😍 went with my cousin for a girls date. We had one cocktail which was lovely and strong 🍸🍹 then I had the Lamb, which fell off the bone 🤤 definitely recommend, not much veg and potatoes with it, so we ordered an extra side of dauphinoise potatoes to share too. My cousin had a chicken dish, she enjoyed hers. And also some hallumi to share. Overall very nice place, food definitely good! Would go again for sure.

The restaurant prides itself on cleanliness and friendly service, making it an inviting spot for both seasoned Thai food lovers and newcomers alike. Guests can enjoy refreshing Singha beer on tap, although it's worth noting the pricing structure for drinks.
I lived 10 years in Thailand and this is as if I was there! Really authentic, really good, really made me happy. Good job there, Thai Kitchen! Recommended: Sticky Rice as a desert!
Mig W — Google review
A pleasant Thai restaurant in Kenilworth. Very clean and tidy, a decent menu and friendly staff. It was good to have quality Singha beer on draught, but be aware they charge more for 2 half pints, than they do for a pint, and a dash of lime cordial is 50p We were surprised not to be offered the advertised lunchtime menu, making a planned reasonably priced lunchtime outing, being a £75 meal for 3. No problem with the prices of each dish. It was just not what we had been expecting, having see the lunchtime set menu clearly advertised on line. Overall decent quality and tasting Thai food, and a chilled lunch.
Mark — Google review
Fantastic Restaurant. We are not regular Thai eaters but the staff were great at helping with the menu and very friendly. The best thing about this restaurant is they don't use any dairy, the milk is coconut milk so my wife could eat whatever she wanted on the menu,5 stars for that alone. We had a sharing starters which was more than enough and our mains were more than enough with 2 side dishes and a bottle of wine (If you want stomach gorging huge portions then stick with your Chinese takeaway at home). Price was good considering what we ordered. Staff were very attentive but not annoyingly so. We were not rushed at any point or rushed away at the end. Food was fantastic, we would definitely eat here again and would highly recommend. Thankyou Thai kitchen for a great evening!

Food was good. Probably a really really tasty main course if I weren't vegan. The soup starter was to die for. The portion size was a bit small and a side of broccoli was expensive for the small amount in the side... I think it was £5.50. Drinks sensibly priced. Thai food always has vegan options and the staff were helpful but the menu could have had better descriptions and more mention of plant based options. The service was great and ambulance just right. Overall I spent £26; which was ok although I definitely couldn't have eaten more.

Fish and chips takeaway
Alfie Grimshaw is a charming gem nestled in the heart of Kenilworth, celebrated for its mouthwatering offerings and convenient takeaway options. With over a century of tradition as a classic fish and chip shop, it stands out not just for its delicious food but also for its exceptional service. Diners rave about the generous portions of crispy chips served at an unbeatable price, alongside delightful accompaniments like curry sauce and battered sausages.
Really delicious chips like always! Large chips in a box for £3.50 great price & a good amount of chips always full to the brim compared to other Kenilworth chippys that are over priced and give hardly any chips! Curry sauce, battered sausage, fish cakes all taste nice.. lovely people that work there always smiling and chatty
Laurissa — Google review
EDIT: Just thought I’d update this review to highlight to Alfie that I was referring to two separate visits; the latter today, and the former a few weeks ago. Great to see that the initial reaction is to deflect, and, having read some other reviews, it does not surprise me. Good luck in your endeavours, the only way is up :) Moved to Kenilworth very recently and have been astounded at the quality of the food options here. So much so, I naively believed there wasn’t a bad option here. Boy was I wrong. I’ve been in twice, and both times I couldn’t have fought harder for a smile. Once for a battered mars bar as a treat, and once for some scampi and chips. Having asked for two (mars bars), and arriving home to see a lonely one, I chalked it up to a small mistake and didn’t think much of it. However, ordering some proper food, I realised that this establishment clearly didn’t worry about quality control. Anaemic chips and overcooked scampi couldn’t have prepared me for the worst mushy peas I’ve ever had (I do love my mushy peas, so the bar is very low for me to belt up and eat away). I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I’m not one to usually write reviews, less so when I didn’t enjoy it, but I feel the stark contrast in quality compared to the surrounding options has to be highlighted. Unless improvements are made, avoid.
Enan — Google review
Ordered on Uber Eats, where, by the way, they operate a second storefront called 'Kim Fish Bar and Kebab House'- but it's the same address and menu. Ordered FISH, the food in their fake storefront's name, and after I substituted one fish item for another, as they asked me to replace it, they cancelled my order, wasting a good 15 minutes in the middle of the night and a further 30 minutes as I disputed with Uber to get my money back. Dodgy and disgraceful to make fish and chips part of your branding and then have neither and waste customers time. If they were out of items then you can MANUALLY DESELECT those items on Uber to stop people ordering. Why they did not do this I don't know. After cancelling my order they closed their fake storefront on Uber, but they are back up today, obviously no idea if their fish listing is real or would just be cancelled again! A real shame as I have family on the South Coast and yet this was still probably some of the best fish and chips I've had in the past- but I won't be back. Rude and disorganised.

On Friday, I visited the Lion pub with my husband. We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the music. The two young girls serving us were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about drink inquiries. I spoke to the manageress about other entertainment options they have in place. We received a very warm welcome and friendly farewell. The pub was clean and offered great drink deals, especially on cocktails. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon.
The lion has recently took on new owners and my oh my can I say how much better and modern it is now. The food is outstanding and the staff are friendly and amazing. The atmosphere and location is very calming. TVs everywhere, dart boards and slot machines available and a lovely garden with a large tv too. Dog friendly maybe add! Definitely will be coming back here again! Thankyou to the staff and the chef. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped off for a few beers on the way to the Indian Edge (great curry house!) friday night - they had Level Head on draught so we went for a few of those and struggled to work out how the related darts game worked. We kinda figured it out, but it's mainly a drinking game using darts for skill shots (battleships, timed games, etc) Decided to try it for an evening meal sunday. I went for Ham, Egg & Chips - thinking it would be slices of cold ham - but turned out to be boiled gammon. Taste-wise it wasn't as overly salty as you'd expect gammon, but being boiled meant there was no crispy rind (was rubbery fat) and the water that dripped from it soaked into the chips, making them soft and soggy. The peas looked a bit dried out (possibly microwaved) but despite that they were quite sweet. It wasn't a great meal and I heard they were changing the menu soon. We didn't stay for long; it grew loud and rambunctious so we went elsewhere for a more tranquil evening.

Lovely pub, fair price. The staff can't do enough for you. Nice atmosphere, loads of TVs for the football and tasty food.

We’ve been into The Lion a couple times now for food and just want to say it is incredible! The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the food speaks for itself. Highly recommend 😇

Really lovely family run pub. If you get chance pop down and enjoy the gorgeous welcoming from the new owners and the great atmosphere.
Lucy S — Google review
Drinks prices are ok. I will say I was a bit surprised about my JD and coke, it came in more what looked like an oversized shot glass. It was a good mix but too small for the price. Staff are really nice and welcoming. They gave me the vibe where you can drink and chat to them, (If you wanted) more so if you are a regular. What I love about The Lion is it screams old classic pub. It has TV for sport and virtual darts which it has kept up with other pubs. I don't know if it just played up when I went there but the virtual darts just didn't work at all. Toilets are nice apart from the cubicle which the lock had broke, what made it worst you couldn't hold the door close as it was too far from the toilet. I've never rushed like that for a while... Luckily for me it wasn't busy. There's no parking but Saintsbury's car park is about 2 mins away.

A great little boozer. I was visiting from out of town and was made to feel very welcome by the staff. This is what I would call a traditional pub. They serve a great pint of Guinness and there was footy on the telly, what more do you want?

This local hotspot attracts both residents and tourists alike. With its exceptional food, drinks, and atmosphere, Tambayan has become a popular destination for those seeking an enjoyable dining experience. Known for their friendly staff who are always ready to assist with menu selections, the restaurant provides outstanding service.
Fabulous From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. Everything was perfect. We ordered 3 of the small plates/starters, 2x mains and 2x desserts. Everything tasted delicious, authentic and fresh. It reminded me of being back in the Philippines and I definitely will be back. My favourites from today were lumpiang shanghai, BBQ skewers and the desserts! Bico and Ube. Which are normally served with ice cream but I asked for without, so the photos show no ice cream. Maraming Salamat Po! I will be back for sure. Thank you xxx
Catherine J — Google review
When we came in, I think the owner saw that I was heavily pregnant so he offered us a different table so I would have enough space and be comfortable. That was nice of him 😀 All the food served was hot and freshly prepared. I found the okoy and ube halaya yummy, and crispy pata as the best from what we’ve ordered. The bbq, for me, was expensive for 2 skewers and thinly sliced chicken. The lumpiang shanghai was okay. The biko I think lacked sweetness and coconut flavour which I found disappointing as it’s my favourite. I found it weird to be served with ice cream, but it was okay. Staff members were young and helpful. Parking was good and plenty of spaces outside. Toilet was kept clean. Overall, our experience was good. It was quite busy as it was a weekend and our mains took quite long (I’m guessing because of the crispy pata). With 3 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts and 1 cordial drink we were charged £68 plus we gave optional service fee as it was not included in the bill.
Coco — Google review
The sisig starter was far too salty. The pancit gulay was nice but could perhaps do with some tofu or veg alternative. The ube was amazing. Customer service was a bit weird, they just didn't feel very hospitable or attentive to customer's needs. It feels like you were going to your grumpy uncle's house for lunch where you had to ask for every little thing you need like spoons and sugar. The ambiance felt like it was done on a tight budget. In my opinion it's quite expensive as a whole.
Mona S — Google review
Wasn’t expecting to write a review, but the the overall experience turned out so good, that I decided to leave one. Meal was absolutely delicious! We started with two appetisers, and absolutely loved it. Food was fresh, the sauces we were given really complimented the dish. The mains were perfectly flavoured and really filling. After the meal we couldn’t manage to get to the desserts because we were absolutely full but next time we come we will definitely try it.
Валерия П — Google review
The food is really nice and the staff are friendly. I'd recommend the cassava cake! It's delightful
JJ — Google review
5/5, amazing little place hidden away, but it's definitely worth finding! The whole menu has an amazing array of dishes, I wish I could have tried it all. I ordered just a main, Crispy Pata, only the one dish because it was a huge portion (there is your pre warning) but 10/10. The side of atchara pickles, paired with the garlic rice and succulent pork topped with a crispy fried skin was to die for. I will definitely be visiting again when I am next in the area.
Jamie M — Google review
I just had my birthday dinner here today! their Calamari is the best calamari I've ever eaten!. My future in-law loves all the dishes and even planning to come back here for a double date 😍 Restaurant is warm and cozy. Foods are wonderful, the serving is huge! Crew are lovely and friendly! This restaurant is definitely a must try one!
Macy — Google review
The entrance is unusual, you enter through the garden, but it is beautiful. The food is the real star of the show, absolutely delicious and good sized portions. We had some of the mains/big plates, but they also have an entire small plates section. Definitely plenty of options to return for!

Nestled in the heart of Kenilworth, the Wyandotte Inn is a charming pub that embodies a warm and welcoming community spirit. As part of the Marston's group, it offers an inviting atmosphere where locals and visitors alike can unwind. Patrons rave about the friendly staff, who go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels at home. The pub features a delightful garden area adorned with trees, hanging baskets, and cozy seating—perfect for gathering with friends or family on sunny days.
We have had the BEST Christmas Eve night at The Wyandotte Inn. Having never been here before, and recently new arrivals to Kenilworth, I'd started to follow this pub on Facebook, and liked the family-friendly, community vibe. We booked a table for 7 of us and when we arrived with 9 we were accommodated immediately. It was a very relaxed, friendly and inclusive atmosphere. We all enjoyed the delicious Pizzas and had great service with food and drinks. I love that there's such a choice of events each week and we chose to come on Christmas Eve for the Karaoke, and we were not disappointed. Even those of us who needed to polish off our vocals were supported and cheered on. We had a bit of dance, chatted with some locals, and we really did have the BEST time. Thank you for having us Wyandotte Inn, we shall be back.

Stopped here for a drink while charging the car just down the road. This is a little pub with very friendly staff, who I believe were the landlord and landlady. The drinks were very reasonably priced, as was the food from looking at the menu, although we did not have time to try on this occasion. We visit Warwick University regularly for football events and will certainly return, even if we are not charging a car as we usually stop for a bite to eat and a drink before heading home.

Went to the Halloween House Party with DJs Ross Moran and Matt Despilia. I've never been to The Ale Rooms before. The service was fast, friendly and the staff were dancing and upbeat. The DJs were great. The effort with decorations and fancy dress was ace. Lovely venue. Bit pricey but it is Kenilworth and not a chain (I live in Coventry) and the service, atmosphere and staff were so good that I didn't mind the prices and we will defo be back!

Unfortunately I popped in this lunchtime with my partner, The chap behind the bar was very dismissive and unhelpful when I asked the price of the beer. Another customer was helpful saying I made a good choice. We sat outside as it was hot, and the chap behind the bar used explicit language as he walked next to us. The bar looked very inviting, but unfortunately we won’t be coming back.

The Bear & Ragged Staff is a vibrant and welcoming pub that perfectly embodies the charm of a modern chain establishment. With its stylish bare brickwork and cozy bookshelves, it offers an inviting atmosphere for guests. During my recent visit, despite the bustling crowd near the bar, I found a quiet table in the back where I could enjoy my meal in peace.
What can I say.....we were absolutely delighted with our visit on Saturday 9th Nov 2024. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The pub was very busy and noisy, mainly in the entrance by the bar but had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We found a quite table at the back of the restaurant area which just needed freshening up from it's previous occupants. With just one request to the waitress this was wiped over immediately with an apology, not that an apology was needed. It was merely my OCD that prompted the request. I ordered our food and drinks on the app and it arrived in a timely fashion, piping hot and plentiful. Both the waiter and waitress were very helpful and attentive during our visit. I highly recommend The Bear & Ragged Staff. 5 Star Service all round 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Popped in spontaneously for the first time last weekend after needing an evening coffee stop with the family, really enjoyed the decor and vibe from this place. Found that for star bucks coffee the prices were really great and the sizes of drinks were great too.
