Seafood restaurant
Pisces Rising is a popular seafood and steakhouse in Florida that offers Caribbean-inspired cuisine. The restaurant is housed in a Florida bungalow and features a beautiful deck with waterfront views. Known for its upscale dining experience, Pisces Rising uses fresh, local ingredients to create their flavorful dishes. With a casual lakefront setting and occasional live music performances, it's an enjoyable spot for lunch or dinner.
So good, we came here TWICE in one weekend! Came because it was on the "Best of 2025" list. We lucked out at 6:30 pm on a Friday and walked right in without a reservation. Our server was absolutely lovely and we LOVED our dinners. Recommend the Dora Canal cocktail, shrimp and grits, and the skirt steak. Both dishes had leftovers to take home. On our return trip, we visited the bar and listened to a great band play the town's namesake song. The noise level outside at the bar was perfect - still able to talk without yelling despite the band playing. One of the few restaurants that have a water view, and loved our visits! 100% recommend!

Wow beautiful presentations of the deserts!!! We ordered the blueberry cheesecake🫐, Creme brûlée🍮 as well as the chocolate cherry cake🍒…..and let me tell you they tasted AMAZING! Not only was the way they looked aesthetically pleasing, but they tasted phenomenal! Angela was amazing and super kind. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful sky view😍

Pisces Rising has without a doubt the best location for dining in Mount Dora. We enjoyed an excellent dinner on the terrace facing the lake, which made the evening truly special. The food was delicious, we had the paella, and it was outstanding. Service was very good, attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere relaxing and elegant at the same time. There’s also a nice bar option in the back, plus both indoor and outdoor dining, making it a versatile choice for any occasion.

My wife and I dined here on August 12, 2025 while visiting Mount Dora in conjunction with a nearby camping trip to Kelly Park in nearby Apopka. Prior to our trip, we had read the good reviews about this place, so we decided to check it out. Unfortunately we neglected to make a reservation, but we walked in about 5:15 pm thinking we could get a window-side table, but unfortunately those had all been reserved by other diners, who all showed up at around 6:00 pm. The restaurant looks like it used to be a large house or inn, and it sits up on the side of a hill overlooking the small Mount Dora Yacht Club and beautiful Lake Dora. It has a large wood deck with tables outside, an outside bar that seats about 25, and an inside elevated bar that seats about 20, and large inside dining room with about 20 tables. We were seated in a back corner below the bar, but still had a decent view of the lake. Our server was very professional, polite and prompt. My wife had the Wedge Salad and I had the Seafood Paella (a specialty here) and both of our meals were delicious. If you are visiting Mount Dora, Tavares, or Leesburg, this place is one of the top restaurants in the area and definitely worth a visit to for casual, but upscale dining. I would definitely recommend you make a reservation, particularly if you are planning to dine here anytime during the busy fall and winter months when tourists and snowbirds abound. We were there in mid-August and it was still quite busy with local residents by the time we finished dinner at 7:30 pm. It certainly has the best water view of any other restaurant in Mount Dora.

A must visit if you want a scenic view overlooking the lake. Mount Dora was such a beautiful little town. I really enjoyed spending time there. The outdoor patio was very dog friendly and it was a relaxing, cool vibe. My only complaint was the salad I ordered was marinated steak tips and I don’t know what they did, but the meat was inedible because it was so sour. Perhaps the wrong marinade or marinated too long 🤪.

Great! Pisces Rising is worth it. Chefs, Ellis our waiter, and waterfront ambiance were all fantastic. They recommended Shrimp and Grits, Mushroom Ravioli, and Ceasar Salad which were all delicious and filling. We will return again. P.S. - Who is the Richy guy? 😄

AMAZING! The food and service. Ask for Richie - he was the absolute best waiter. Gave us great recommendations and then made the best bananas foster for dessert. 10/10 would recommend and return

I thought i did this 2 years ago and am just realizing it never happened 😭 this vendor was the only vendor of our whole wedding that we would recommend. people still tell us how delicious our food was and how much they enjoyed the wedding. We had a cutting station with the steak and the chimichurri sauce and also went with what was essentially a white wine chicken and it was so delicious. We had about 200 or so guests and 2 years later, everyone still reminds us how delicious our food was. They don't talk about the venue, the flowers, the bar. But EVERYONE mentions the food. Amazing and would absolutely recommend. By the way, the tasting was also equally amazing. We were so unsure of things at the time with what we were planning with the vendors, but we felt so confident with our food vendor and again in retrospect... best decision we ever made. could not go with a better choice for a wedding food vendor. THANK YOU CHRIS and the Pisces rising team

Restaurant
The Goblin Market Restaurant & Lounge is a charming bistro located in downtown Mount Dora, offering an eclectic menu with dishes from around the world. The restaurant is housed in a historic residence and features artful masterpieces, including a Murano glass chandelier and hand-crafted tables. With a focus on local Florida ingredients, the elevated fare by celebrated chef Norman Van Aken pays homage to modernity and sustainability.
I had a hard time finding this place. I think we circled the block twice. That being said once we got in there it is a warm dark atmosphere that offers world class food. Best meal I have had in Mt. Dora and there are some good spots around town. I have a hard time trying new spots and not just returning each time I am back. If you are having a hard time deciding where to eat I will make it easy, it's here go here and if you are thinking of another place you're wrong.

This magical little restaurant was quite the surprise! If you are in Mt Dora or planning to visit, The Goblin Restaurant should be on your dining list! Walking into the restaurant, I immediately thought of Narnia. I felt like we were transported into this beautiful, secret library and fed the most delicious meal! Everything we ordered from the deviled eggs appetizer to the crème brûlée dessert was incredible! I recommend the gourmet toasted cheese, it a classy/elevated grilled cheese with caramelized onions and bacon! So delicious! Our server was very attentive, we waited for nothing and were not rushed! I am looking forward to returning for dinner in the near future! Well done, Goblin Market!! 5 ⭐️

Came in recently to enjoy lunch with a friend and my infant son. We were promptly greeted at the front and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. We had a stroller with us other wise we would have been immediately sat up stairs. We started with some apps and drinks. I had the Irish whiskey onion soup, my friend had the crab bisque and we split the ciabatta board, these were paired with the red red wine and my boyfriend’s back. Everything was delicious! Our server Victoria was kind, attentive, and patient while we picked out our mains. To be fair everything sounded appetizing so it was difficult to pick just one! We landed on the toasted cheese and cashew chicken sandwich. Both very good and filling. We’ve made note to come back again and possibly try dinner. Although this was a bit of a pricey lunch, the food, the service, and time was worth it. IMO

If you are in Mount Dora, I highly recommend visiting. It's a fun atmosphere, while being a little more upscale. We did only visit the dining room on the first floor. We visited mid-June in 2025. We came for the whiskey irish onion soup. It was topped with fried onions, which was just ok for me. The broth was very good, but overall it wasn't what I was expecting. I ordered the sesame-garlic salmon plate. I have recently stopped eating salt, so I am tasting it quite a bit more. I felt this was a bit salty for my taste, but other than that it had good flavors. The portion was generous, and it was light enough after having the bowl of soup. My husband had their burger, which he did enjoy. I would definitely come back, and try something different. I loved the waiter and atmosphere.

My wife and I dined here in the early evening of August 13, 2025 in conjunction with a camping trip at nearby Kelly Park about 12 miles away. We had read about it prior to our trip, but we neglected to make a dinner reservation. It was a little hard to find, but we stumbled upon it in a side street after asking a local for directions as we explored downtown Mount Dora in search of it. When we arrived, the hosted said they were fully booked for the evening (and it was a Wednesday night in the summer off season), but she said there were two seats at the bar upstairs. We gladly accepted her offer, and were impressed by the beautiful inside decor and atmosphere of the restaurant as we walked to the bar to be seated. The bar and adjacent high top tables were not full yet (at 6:00 pm) so we sat and chatted with the two very friendly and professional bartenders for a few minutes, then order drinks and an appetizer (Puff Pastry Escargot). The appetizer was SO GOOD, we decided to stay and eat a full dinner, so my wife ordered a salad with beef tenderloin tips, and I ordered a rolled asiago chicken and a side cesar salad. Everything was just FIRST CLASS declicious and presented like a 5-star fine dining restaurant. This is probably the finest caliber dining you can find in Mount Dora or nearby towns of Tavares and Leesburg.

This food was fantastic. The whole experience was over the top! Our server, Tony, was amazing. The Bacon Jam Burger was delicious and the fruit cup just made me smile. These guys know how to make you happy!

We have been looking for a place like this for a long time. The service was professional and so kind. Our waitress Sara was so knowledgeable. She gave great recommendations and spoke so highly of the ingredients used. It was a pleasure speaking with her and very impressed with the pride she had in working at the Gobblin Market. The food did not let us down. After eating at so many disappointing places this was a gem to find. You can tell from only being there once that they are consistent. We ordered the ciabatta bread platter to start. My husband had the bacon jam burger and I had the cashew chicken sandwich. The food was hot and everything was absolutely delicious. The way food should be made and served. For dessert we had the crèmé brulé with strawberries and whipped cream. Needless to say there was nothing left on the plate. We cannot wait to come back. Congratulations on such an amazing menu!!!! 👏

Goblin Market did not disappoint! The atmosphere is as awesome as the food is delicious! I had the onion soup and it was so good! Definitely recommend if you’re checking out Mount Dora. It’s a good idea to make reservations in advanced, especially if your party is more than two people.

Great atmosphere, great food and great service. The food tasted authentic and came quickly. Just tried some apps but was very impressed. If you can make an onion ring taste better than you’ve ever had, you’re doing something right.

What a great evening visiting the Magical Meat Boutique in the heart of Mount Dora. Prime Rib Night (Friday after 4) was excellent! I love Prime Rib and the cut I received for my dinner was worth every penny. The sides that come with the dish were also delicious and plenty. The service we received and the conversation we had with various staff made it an even better evening. They are very personable, quick, and very proud of the establishment they represent. This location will be closing soon, which is sad because walking around Mt Dora afterwards on a Friday evening, makes for a great and tranquil date night. Fear not, another location has softly opened nearby. Please check their page for details. I would recommend this business to those looking for a casual night out with friends, family and even alone works. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Awesome bartender/server A+. Had the Haddock and homecut fries and the scotch eggs as an appetizer. What a meal 😍 You get a huge serving that will fill you up quick! I thought everything was priced right for the meal. Highly recommend the place.

Came for weekend breakfast. There was plenty of seating inside and out. Be forewarned, though, the outdoor seating is smoking friendly. Staff was incredibly friendly and very responsive. Food came out annoyingly hot, not that that’s really an issue. Everything was well cooked and well seasoned. Excellent portion size, will definitely have to come back for the dinner menu. Went with the “full Monty” for breakfast basically a little bit of everything that is British. Not just wheelchair friendly, more wheelchair encouraged. Everything is flat, large aisles, areas where you can move tables to accommodate different size parties. There are one or two doors that might be a little difficult to get through, but there are multiple alternate entrances they also havedaily/weekly events that they post month by month. Check their calendar for latest updates. Waitress did mention that they are open on holidays, though they have not yet posted the special holiday menus at the time of rating. Thanksgiving and Christmas reservations basically required, and you could accommodate a party of 30 in there no problem.

This is the third location for the Magical Meat Boutique. I was a big fan at the original location where the rail car is in Mount Dora. The second location was hard to get to hard to park and I always felt was very noisy. Taking over the old barbecue place on Old State Road 19 in Tavares has a great deal of potential. Today's lunch could not have been better. I had the best fish and chips that I can remember in quite some time. I chose the more expensive cod but it was well worth it. They're still working the kinks out, but it's a positive attitude and a great kitchen history that continues since the 1500s back in London. Parking is easy and they're open great hours. My lunch partner had the English breakfast which is advertised for weekends only. Not sure whether they just extended the courtesy to us for Wednesday, but it was very much appreciated. Give this a place a try. You won't be disappointed.

We had Bangers and mash in the hole and codfish and chips. The cod fish was the best I've had in a very long time. My gramps was from England and this dinner reminder me of him. My husband loved them. The yorkshire pudding bowl added a great flair to the dish It was karaoke night there. We had an amazing time. Staff even participated by singing. It was a lot of fun. The portions were well worth the price. Prices were pretty average for the area. I would highly recommend this bar and restaurant!

We are used to the magical meeting in downtown Mount Dora in the nice atmosphere sitting around in the evening. I don’t know why they moved, but we decided to try the new place. I had the breakfast combination full Scottish and my friend had the other breakfast combination, I think it was called the full Monty both were really good and it was nice to be able to taste a little bit of everything. My husband had the vegetable omelette and he said it was excellent fresh vegetables and everything in it and our other friend had a typical American style breakfast and it was good there was nothing wrong with anything. We were quite impressed, especially with the service since the server was on our own and running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I wish them the best in their new location and I hope to see them again soon. PS I’m sure glad you’re outside is smoker friendly because I have friends that smoke and I like to sit with them and enjoy the atmosphere.

We came in and sat ourselves, which was fine. The restaurant was dead, just us and another family. The waiter was an older lady who was clearly forgetful and unorganized. Someone else brought out our appetizer but didn’t give us any plates, so we ate it from the tray it came on. The waiter(the older lady) walked halfway toward us with the plates, then set them down at another table instead. Later, she brought those same plates to us after we had already finished eating the appetizer. I ordered a burger with onion rings, the burger was great, but she forgot the onion rings completely. I let her know as soon as she handed us the food. After I finished eating, she came to check on us and said, “Oh, the onion rings,” realizing she never put them in. I had already been waiting and ended up waiting even longer for them to come out. By the time they finally did, I didn’t even want them anymore. She never apologized for the mistake and still charged us separately for the onion rings, even though they were supposed to be part of the meal with just an upcharge. Not once did she smile or seem friendly the entire time. Worst service ever — would not recommend.

The GateHouse at Lakeside Inn is a historic hotel located on the picturesque Lake Dora, offering breathtaking sunset views. The Beauclaire Restaurant, known for its Southern-inspired dishes, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This charming inn dates back to 1883 and is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Florida. With its great food and stunning lake views, it's a top recommendation for visitors to Mount Dora.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about our shopping experience with Kris Palmisano the most lovely manager of The Gatehouse Gift Gallery at the beautiful Historic Lakeside Inn Mount Dora Florida. From the moment you walk up thru the garden on that welcoming gorgeous front porch You feel transported back in time.🌷💗🌷 The gallery and shop no different. We were greeted with a warm smile, and right away were mesmerized by all the one of a kind gifts and art pieces. Kris came over introduced herself, and gave us a history of the Gatehouse, and how it came to be. She was a wealth of knowledge, and I felt like we were receiving a private tour. I came home with so many one of a kind gifts for others, and of course my special gentleman gifted me with such an outstanding frame print by a local artist which I had said I loved the moment we walked thru the door. It is of the iconic front porch of the hotel where the restaurant has tables and serves breakfast lunch and dinners outside. Memories of many delicious meals there overlooking spectacular Lake Dora.💗 They have a little something there for everyone, and the prices are reasonable. So many perfect keepsakes, and she features different local artists monthly. Kris builds relationships, Takes a genuine interest in her guests, and that is a gift. We plan to go back there again and again. I highly recommend this Gallery and shop if you are looking for that special gift for yourself or another The service is outstanding, along with the selection. We stopped in for a late lunch and we were immediately seated. We ordered a few beers and they were really cold. Don't sleep on this delicious Cuban restaurant tucked away in downtown Mount Dora. We hard a hard time choosing what to get so we sampled a bit of everything. The pan con ropa vieja was amazing. The Frog and Monkey Restaurant & Pub is a classic cellar pub that serves traditional bar food like fish 'n' chips and hosts live music events. The establishment also features an old British bar atmosphere, making it a unique spot to grab a meal or drinks. Additionally, the venue has been known to host performances by American Idol contestant David Oliver Willis and other local musicians. Customers can enjoy cold draft beers while taking in the lively ambiance of this underground pub.
Visited The Frog and Monkey in Mt. Dora and now I get why it’s a local favorite. It’s a cool little spot with a laid-back, tucked-away vibe—perfect for grabbing a bite and escaping the crowds. I had the Ruby Burger, and it was seriously delicious. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and stacked with flavor. You can tell they know their way around a burger here. We started with the beer-battered mushrooms, and they were a hit—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. Definitely recommend if you’re into appetizers that don’t feel like an afterthought. Service was friendly, the food came out hot, and overall it was a great experience. If you’re in Mt. Dora and craving a good burger and some comfort food with a twist, this place should be on your list.

The Frog and Monkey in Mount Dora is an absolute gem tucked away in the basement of the historic Renaissance building. The ambiance is fantastic, blending a cozy pub vibe with a touch of mystery thanks to the building’s reputation for spirits—both the ghostly kind and the liquid kind! Word has it the pub might even have some friendly ghosts of its own, adding to its unique charm. The drink selection is excellent, offering a wide array of cocktails, wines, and beers. There’s truly something for everyone. The food is equally impressive. I tried their wings with the house blueberry and maple sauce, and they were absolutely delicious—I had no trouble finishing every last bite! My girlfriend opted for the banh mi tacos, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The live music was a definite highlight, adding energy and fun to the already great vibes. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in Mount Dora and looking for a spot with good food, great drinks, and a lively atmosphere (maybe even a ghostly encounter), The Frog and Monkey is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Great happy hour. Downstairs, cute place. Feels like a local place. You can even get your beer to go. The problem with this place, is there is a piano in the corner that is amplified. People, especially drunk people, sit at the piano and bang away. The noise in such a small place. It's intolerable. We had to leave, thank goodness we could get our beer to go. Not sure who thought a public piano in a bar was a good idea.

Wandering the downtown Mount Dora for an evening during the Christmas season, we were hungry and found ourselves going downstairs to the Frog & Monkey Restaurant & Pub. Nights are busy for Christmas in this historic district, so we were pleased to be seated immediately, albeit at the bar. The employees were dressed for the season, and we enjoyed the live music of a guitarist/singer playing classic rock music on the little stage in the corner. We enjoyed looking around at the eclectic memorabilia while we waited for our meals. We enjoyed the aroma of fresh burgers being cooked, so our appetites were piqued when our food arrived. The burgers were as good as they smelled, if a bit more rare than ordered. Long story long, our meal at the Frog & Monkey contributed in a huge way to the enjoyment of our pre-Christmas evening. There is a more-than-reasonable chance we will dine here again. I definitely recommend you visit this bar in the alley the next time you're downtown Mount Dora and you're hungry - or just for a quick drink. It's worth it!

I ordered food here and when we get it home, I open it up and as you can see in the picture. How small that is, they charged $19 for it. I call in about it to let them know that I was unhappy and they said that there was nothing that they can do. I do not recommend this place. They are way overpriced for the amount of food that you get. That container is literally three inches in size that's what you get for $19. Its called cottage pie. If you don't mind being overcharged, eat here, but I wouldn't suggest it. Especially in these hard times we work hard for our money.

Was absolutely amazing. We came to Florida for a vacation. And we ended up getting engaged last night so we went out on a date today and chose to go here. It was wonderful. Everyone was very nice, it is very clean, food came out so quick and was delicious. We got bbq wings, steak wrap, and a bacon cheeseburger. We were shocked how quickly they came out with the food. And how inexpensive everything is. We left the server a large tip because she was amazing and she made our first dinner as an engaged couple even better.

I was here for the craft fair. The place was busy so I figured it was good. Unfortunately this was a bust. My Mom and I ordered a Fall Sangria which was the most sour tasting drink I have ever had. After one sip we asked our server Laz if we could get a different drink. He said all alcohol sales are final so we would be charged anyhow. After adding sugar to the drink from the table, we were able to drink it though it was not good. The Reuben had chunks of corn beef with lots of fat. Burger was ok but not well seasoned. I would not come here again.

Good food, good vibes. Cottage pie needed more salt. Fish and shrimp were excellent.

Burrito restaurant
Fiesta Grande Mexican Grill in Mount Dora offers a vibrant and cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy hearty Mexican dishes and refreshing margaritas. This family-owned restaurant is beloved by locals for its extensive menu featuring classic favorites like nachos, tacos, chimichangas, and queso. The portion sizes are generous, especially with their combination platters that offer a variety of flavors on one plate. Customers rave about the choriqueso with Mexican sausage and melted cheese.
Some friends invited us to supper there saying that the food was great. Their words if advice couldn't of been more accurate. We got seated right away and enjoyed a margarita while waiting for our food. Which didn't take long after our order was taken. The food came out hot and delicious. I am a burrito nut and the steak burrito was loaded full of flavor and garnishments. The prices were very reasonable even with drinks. Will definitely make a trip back there even thou it took us an hour to drive there.

I was on a food tour when I tried this place. We got fresh chips and salsa. Both were delicious. The salsa was a bit spicy but still had really good flavor. The chips were fresh. We got a delicious margarita, this place does not use wells the use Jose Cuervo. We also had a chicken taquito. So yummy. The chicken has perfect flavor and the outside was nice and crispy.

My wife and I dined here on August 11, 2025. We'd initially just walked in while exploring downtown Mt. Dora to enjoy a Margarita during happy hour, but decided to dine at the bar because the bartender (Thomas) was very friendly, and we saw how good some of the plated entrees looked and smelled as they exited the kitchen door beside where we were seated. My wife had the Beef Enchiladas Delux and I had the sampler Mexican Dinner, and both were absolutely delicious. The Margaritas were also made with fresh ingredients and top shelf Grande Centenario tequila. The atmosphere here is boisterous in the step down bar, but the chairs were comfortable and the decor was in keeping with the festive restaurant name. I will definitely dine here again the next time I visit Mount Dora because the food is delicious and the prices are pretty reasonable.

12/23/24 Music is too loud in the dining room. The kitchen was behind with the order after 8:30 pm and the restaurant was half capacity. Good food presentation and flavor. The Christmas cocktails are very impressive. Our favorite Christmas cocktail was the White Christmas Margarita, so good and full of flavor with enough amount of tequila. The waitress was very polite and apologized a couple of times because of the delay in the kitchen. The bar looks like a Christmas postcard. For a Monday at Christmas time, the best option is this Mexican restaurant.

Don’t get the take out. I spent 70 dollars on tacos and quesadillas and the tacos were extremely wet and falling apart and it looked like a 3 year old slapped it together. It was all cold nothing was warm. There was also no cheese on the tacos. Edit: after calling and talking to the manager they have given us a credit of 48 dollars to use in the restaurant or for to go for a second Chance. When I have time I think I will go sit in the restaurant and try the food fresh.

The food was good. Came out fast and was super hot. I got the Baja tacos. All the staff was attentive and friendly. I would recommend this to others. Plus there’s a small parking lot across the street.

We were exploring Mount Dora after not being there for a long time, when found this Mexican restaurant and decided to try it. What a delightful surprise. Food is delicious, and come hungry bc the portions are very satisfying. We ordered the taco salad, chicken and beef and they were certainly delicious. The only thing was that they were too juicy at the bottom and the tortilla was soggy, but still delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. We will go back for sure. Thank you!!!

The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch with a menu featuring hearty dishes like biscuits and gravy, in-house smoked sausages, pancakes, and omelets. Known for its award-winning barbecue and homemade pies and desserts, the place also sells its signature barbecue sauce on-site.

So many delicious options for this slow cooked BBQ favorite! Barnwood also offers brisket and burgers and so much more. The waitress was frequently checking up on the table to make sure we were happy, our drinks were topped off and we had whatever we needed for an enjoyable meal. So, in short Barnwood is friendly and delicious--go check them out!

Real cocking, very good flavor and fare size and portions. I will say they are under staff, we almost leave the restaurant, it took time for them to noticed that we were waiting for a table.

Absolutely amazing!! I got the BBQ ribs and chicken combo with the mac and cheese and baked beans and couldn't be happier! The garlic toast was fantastic. I really enjoyed the BBQ that came with it, but their mustard BBQ was my favorite! The service was great! Would definitely recommend to try this place out!

My wife and I went there today. When we arrived my sugar was dropping and I was in need of something sweet. I walked over to a waitress and ask if she could get me some orange juice to bring my sugar up. She didn't hesitate at all, got me some juice and saved the day for me. I thank you. The food was very good, we had the ribs. The restaurant was very clean, good food and friendly staff. We will be back.

Small and homey BBQ place on Old 441. We had lunch, dine-in. Very good food and excellent service. I had a mimosa(OJ and cranberry) for $4.99. It was the most generous glass of mimosas I've ever had! Pork spareribs good smokey taste. A little fatty and some people like that. Good mashed with gravy. Beef brisket sandwich tasty. Ended the meal with dessert. We had 3 choices: banana pudding, peach cobbler and whipped peanut butter and chocolate cream pie. My son chose the 3rd option. It was tasty and quite rich. We had a great lunch. I recommend Barnwood BBQ and we will visit again.

The Salted Fry is a delightful sandwich shop that offers a variety of gluten-free options, including their famous truffle fries and club sandwich. Located in the charming town of Mount Dora, this eatery also serves Belgian-style fries and an array of hot and cold sandwiches. Visitors can also enjoy unique beverages like Flying Cauldron butterscotch beer soda. The cozy atmosphere and excellent service make it a perfect stop for a quick snack while exploring the town.
First time visit specifically because Salty Fry is completely gluten free. The staff was so good. We caused a problem when one of our group started reading someone else’s order. Of course then someone had a meal they couldn’t eat. The staff just smiled and made it right. The food was great. The dining room was very Simple and could be cooler. I recommend it to all people who eat gluten free. Remember it is a burger a sandwich joint. You’re not getting a steak or salmon.

A small casual sandwich shop tucked away at the edge of the downtown area with plenty of seating in and out. Food ordered: Truffle Fries, “Bacon Smash” burger, “Mushroom Swiss Smash” burger, “Gnome Delight Ham Sandwich” and a couple of Boylan sodas. There was very little mushrooms and onions on the mushroom Swiss smash, but other than that everything was delicious and came to the table quickly. The sodas were made with real cane sugar. The fries looked fresh cut and the portions will definitely fill you up. The staff was friendly and they checked up on us often even though it’s not that type of eating establishment. The menu was small, but what was offered makes you want try a bit of everything.

Definitely worth checking out, even if it’s a little out of the way! The downtown area’s fun to walk around with plenty to see and do. The fries taste homemade and are super good, and there are tons of sauces to try — all really solid. The burgers are great quality too, but the poutine stole the show for me. I haven’t had poutine that good since my trip to Canada!

If you need to be GF and are craving a burger, this is the place to go. Oftentimes GF buns / bread are hard and dry - they did a great job and was a nice compromise for me (non GF) and my wife. I’ve been coming to Mount Dora’s craft fair for over 30 years now and just love that I can eat at a dedicated gf restaurant as for health reasons I have to eat gluten free. We received delicious food both right before the weekend of the fair and during the fair (we ate there twice during our stay). I at first thought the person who was waiting on us was the owner as she was very attentive to all the patrons, offering to get us all anything else, offering desserts etc…. all with great care! I went up to the counter to take advantage of the gluten-free bread pudding offer, and asked if she was the owner and she said no…. much to my surprise. I learned her name was Christine and continue to express how grateful I was for the food and her service. Well, I know it takes more than one person to run a restaurant but her light was shining especially bright!!! She was definitely an asset to the running of the restaurant on the normal day as well as during the craft fair weekend with the line out the door. Thank you again Christine for the attentive care you gave all of us, and thank you Salted Fry for creating a work environment where someone like she would want to work. Looking forward to next year already!!

The bar is known for its Instagram-worthy cocktails crafted with creativity and precision by skilled mixologists. The swanky decor, great music, and welcoming staff create an inviting ambiance. Caleb & Jesse at HandleBar in Mount Dora is hands-down the best bartender around! Not only do they make incredible drinks, but their energy, charm, and attention to detail make the whole bar experience unforgettable. If you’re lucky enough to have them mixing your drink, you’re in for a perfect night!

The decor, music, and overall vibe of this place are so fun—definitely a great spot for a night out. Even on a busy Friday evening, I was able to snag a cozy round table in the back for my friend and me, which was a pleasant surprise. Bonus points for the upstairs bathrooms not requiring a code (unlike the ones downstairs)—a small but appreciated detail! I ordered an espresso martini that was dairy-free (which I love), but it ended up being a bit too sweet and slightly watery for my taste. I only took a few sips before deciding not to finish it—not bad, just not quite for me. Since I was the DD, I didn’t bother swapping it out, but it was still the right call. My friend’s gin cocktail, on the other hand, was light, mild, and super refreshing—she loved it! Also, shoutout to the bartender for bringing the drinks over to our table—such a nice touch. I’d absolutely come back and give another cocktail a try. The atmosphere alone makes it worth a return visit!

During our trip to Mount Dora, we stumbled upon a charming little bar that perfectly suited our needs. It is located at the second floor of the market place. After a long day of bar hopping we made our way to mount dora. We asked a hostesses for some good places to get drinks; she mentioned handlebar and another place we went first… while we were there I overheard the bartender and other patrons taking about handlebar so I jumped in… they all gave an exuberant Referal. So we went there next; it was super cute but very packed so we almost left but squished in n; and thank god we did because we loved it! The drinks were delicious and the bartenders were uber fun and cool. My fav was Check he’s a ginger . If the owner who killed that very small alligator gator is reading this.. please give yin’s raise. I will come back and bring all of my friends just for his service! Love ur bar 😘

If you’re looking for the best craft cocktails in Central Florida, Handlebar in Mount Dora is it. The vibe is unmatched! It’s laid-back yet elevated, with the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. Every drink I’ve tried has been thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and full of unique flavors that you just don’t find at your average bar. The staff takes it to another level. Chek, Caleb, Jesse, and Dakota are some of the most talented bartenders I’ve ever met! They’re not only skilled mixologists but also welcoming and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or want to try something adventurous and new, they’ll take great care of you :)

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. This place is a hidden gem for craft cocktail lovers. I tried the Piranha—a mix of cachaça, lychee, lime, cherry blossoms, and dragon fruit powder—and I’m still thinking about it. It's perfectly balanced, refreshing yet bold, floral but not overpowering. Honestly, one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. You can tell the bartenders here are true artists. The vibe is chill, the presentation is stunning, and every sip feels like an experience. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. This spot sets the bar very high.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Mount Dora, Olive Branch Mediterranean - Italian Grille & Bar is a delightful destination for those seeking a taste of both Mediterranean and Italian cuisine. This charming eatery boasts a diverse menu that features everything from fresh seafood to delectable pasta dishes, alongside refreshing Greek salads and perfectly cooked meats. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to relax with friends while enjoying their renowned pastas and sweet treats like baklava and cannoli.
Went here with my friend for a late-night dinner. We were greeted and welcomed. The interior has been redecorated since I was here and looks very professionally done. Excellent food and wine. Our server, George, was very attentive throughout the entire experience. My friend and I ordered the veal parmigiana and veal marsala. Some parts of our veal were a little on the tough side, but nothing complaint-worthy. I would likely order the chicken instead if we came back. We finished off the night with a cappuccino, warming ourselves up before the journey back home.

The people were great, and my rating is not about them. They were all friendly and outgoing. The calamari was ok, but the rest of the food was not what I expected. My over all impression was not positive. The meatball sub was, what felt like, a grocery store white loaf, cut in half with rather bland red sause and some ok meatballs. That was the same for the rest of our party. For the price, I would have expected better quality food.

Came for a birthday dinner while on a girls’ trip and could not have chosen a better spot! From the stunning water views to the live music and exceptional service, every detail was perfect. Dylan was our server, and I can honestly say I’ve never experienced better service at any restaurant. Coming from Miami, this place felt like a true breath of fresh air. And the food—absolutely delicious! The fresh bread with oil and balsamic was the perfect start, the Caesar salad was to die for, and the pasta was incredible. 10/10, we were amazed and will definitely be coming back!

My girlfriend and I had a fabulous dining experience. Our server Rene was so friendly and attentive bringing our food and drinks at perfect pace. The food was amazing. A delightful ceasar salad with delicious bread and seasoned olive oil was the ideal starter for the crispy and tantalizing chicken parmesan. Every bite was quite satisfying. We finished our meal and then walked down to watch the breathtaking sunset on Lake Dora. Thank you Olive Branch for kick-starting a great evening.

The server was wonderful. The red sauce and meatballs were excellent but the pasta was overcooked. This is kind of an important part of the spaghetti and meatballs dish so that's why only 3 stars for food. They didn't have any spaghetti noodles left so they served it with linguine. This would be fine but the server disclosed that the reason was because it was a very busy weekend (arts fest) and they went through a lot of spaghetti. He said that they were going to serve me what was left from yesterday but when he saw it he stopped them and offered me the linguini. I'm sorry, but spaghetti noodles are not so expensive that you need to serve yesterday's noodles to anybody. The Mediterranean salad was kind of limp. The bread and oil were very good. The salmon was cooked well.
Judith P — Google review
I tried this place on the food tour. The samples of the food we tried was really good. We started off with a Greek salad then a small pasta dish with vodka sauce. We also had a house white wine similar to a Chardonnay and a red I believe that was closer to a Cabernet.
Kristy — Google review
For those two people we were with that ordered the chicken Parmesan. They had a lovely meal. I ordered the rigatoni with broccoli sautéed in olive oil. I was deeply disappointed that my pasta dish was sitting in a half inch of water and tasted very bland. The Mediterranean seafood dish was sitting in water as well, and the scallops were minuscule, seasoning bland. I had heard this restaurant was really good, but apparently has gone downhill or the chef had an off night. If they would have prepared the pasta dishes properly and season them it would’ve been a different experience.
Janine E — Google review
Horrible experience. They were out of a number of items on the menu. The salmon we had was the worst salmon I ever had. The vegetables were over cooked and uneatable. Both of us had horrible stomach problems the next day. A glass of wine was over priced at $18 a glass. Enough said. Eat there at your own risk.

Restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque Wooten Park, Puddle Jumpers Lakeside Grill & Bar is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Tavares, known as America's Seaplane City. This casual eatery boasts stunning views of the lake and offers an inviting atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options that can accommodate around 300 guests.
In such a great location, Puddle Jumpers is definitely a restaurant to keep in your favorites. There is a lot to enjoy within walking distance, as the restaurant is right next to the park and other establishments. During my visit, the staff was polite, inviting and welcoming. They sat us quickly and delivered our food just as fast. Throughout the day, you can see sea planes coming in for a landing and taking off🛬 on the lake. What I loved most, Puddle Jumpers IS PET FRIENDLY! They have a spacious patio for all who enjoy being outside. This will be a regular spot for us.
G H — Google review
My wife and I stopped her for lunch about 12:15 pm on August 11, 2025 while en route to nearby Kelly Park Campground. We were towing our small travel trailer, so I wound up having to park in an old railroad easement area on the south side of the restaurant because there wasn't a place for buses or RVs in their main parking lot. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly busy with diners, and several groups appeared to be on a lunch break from jury duty since the county courthouse was only a block away. We had to wait about five minutes to be seated because there wasn't enough staff on duty to handle the sudden customer load. Even though it was a hot and humid afternoon, we asked for a table outside on the shaded patio in hopes of seeing a seaplane or two takeoff or land. The restaurant overlooks the Lake Dora seaplane base and ramp, and we got to watch a few of them. It took about five minutes after we were seated before we were greeted by our server. She was pleasant, apologetic and quickly brought us our drinks. I ordered a local craft beer (Jai Alai IPA), but was disappointed because it was delivered in a frosty glass beer mug with a very large divot/punt in its bottom that only held about 10 ounces of beer, even though it should have held a full pint. This rubbed me the wrong way because I was essentially paying a pint draft beer price ($6.50), but only got a 10 oz pour (see Beer Mug photo). I also thought it was very blasphemous to rip off customers with DECEPTIVE "shrink-flation" beer mugs, particularly at bar and grill that caters to and probably has a regular clientele that's comprised of off-duty seaplane (puddle jumper) pilots. I made a polite complaint to our server about the it, and she said she gets the same exact complaint several times each day she works, but management won't upgrade to HONEST, pint-sized beer glasses. I ordered the Bacon Bomber Hamburger and my wife had the Blackened Chicken Wrap sandwich. They were both made with good fresh ingredients and tasted delicious, and it only took about 10 minutes to get them delivered to our table after we place our order. Overall, this place has GREAT POTENTIAL, but the lack of staff and the deliberately deceptive 10 oz beer glasses (made to look like they are 16 oz pints) means that I'll likely never go back here the next time I'm in the Leesburg / Tavares area.
Edward M — Google review
Took the family to Puddle Jumpers for an afternoon lunch. The place was kind of cool. Right off the water, with just Sea Plane parking area and railroad track in between. There was a sidewalk to crossover to get closer to the SeaPlane. Kids thought that was cool. Without question, the restaurant was themed out with the Sea Plane nostalgia. Crazy set up as you walk into the bar, but we later learned of the multiple dining rooms as well as an upstairs dining space. They also had outdoor seating, but that day was way too hot. Good was pretty good. We started with the Kettle chips and dip. Carmelized onion dip and chorizo beer queso cheese type of dipping sauces. We ordered both sauces to try. Very unique flavors but they kept you going back for more. I must say, the Mahi Bites were pretty good - they looked like chicken tenders but there were good and came with a lot. The fries had a seasoning which was a nice change up from traditional fries. We also ordered the Ye Olde Black & Blue burger. Very juicy, good flavor. Wife didn't care for the blackened but I thought it was a solid choice. Kids got a cheeseburger and salad, and a Pitadilla (chicken and cheese quesadilla but with pita bread). Cheeseburger was eaten but the PitaDilla was a little on the bland side. Too much Pita bread for the kiddo. The area had a few other restaurants and a cooler slower beach vibe. Nice area to check out and explore. We will be back again and try out some more options. It would also be a great spot to watch the Sea Planes take off and land. Fairly close by is a really nice park too.

A 3.5. This is a great location, with beautiful views of the Lake in Downtown Tavares, FL., viesws of water airplanes landing, boats, jet skies, etc. Service is incredibly friendly, fast, and perfect. A local place. The food is classic comfort food of a beach type sport bar. Burgers are classic. Tasty, good mix quality of meat, with no excessive condiments. Again, a classic burger that I can eat again. Fries and onion rings are also good with large portions. Good cold beer. Nothing fancy on libations. HEY!! Is a sport bar in a lake beach town. No mayor city here. My 3.5 comes because of the lack of cleaning of the place. Food on the floor, dirty toilets, dirty glass windows looking the lake. Is a prime location they should keep it like that. They can improve.

I go here quite frequently and always have a wonderful time. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. I'll be honest, it gets a little hectic when it gets busy so if you have a little patience then you'll be fine. Personally I prefer only good vibes anyhow. I like all the different food choices they have but if there's no special going on I go with the Hard Landing platter which is a half pound of peel and eat shrimp, a crab cake and fried mahi strips plus a side or two.

Wife and I visited today for the first time. Parking was a little trying but, accomplished with a little walk. I had the mahi sandwich and the wife had the mahi tacos. Both were delicious but we both needed extra napkins. She had a well drink and I had a soft drink which our attentive waiter Tom filled without asking. A bit of a drive from The Villages for us but we would do again in the future.

We had the best time eating here. We were celebrating our friend's birthday. Service was fantastic, food was AMAZING, and the bar staff makes some phenomenal drinks. I think my favorite was their Old Fashioned. Food is locally sourced and everything is fresh. The roasted oysters - holy cow were awesome! A must appetizer while they're still on the menu.

We had the pleasure of sharing this experience with our family & friends. This was our first time visiting 1921 in m Mount Dora FL. the establishment, initially, we were uncertain about what to anticipate. Nevertheless, I am thrilled to report that the experience was truly exceptionally amazing, from beginning to end. The atmosphere, replete mosaic historic ambiance, the impeccable cleanliness of the restaurants alluring aromas were lovely. The culinary experience was remarkable, with each dish presenting a delightful combination of flavors. Again, the food (((WoW) this was a delicious, delightful palette pleasing experience. Our server provided exemplary service, showcasing professionalism and courtesy. The impeccable service, I will say, that each bite was delightful. We even received a tour of the restaurant by our Sous Chef Mr. Daniel Hernandez. I would highly recommend that you join us in this experience, as the satisfaction exceeded our expectations by above and beyond 100%

Really enjoy this restaurant. The food is fresh, the drinks are good and the service is great. It is priced a little high but the quality of ingredients is high and they are proudly serving vegetables sourced from local farms. I will say their filet is exquisite! Parking sort of stinks, but that’s Mt Dora for you!

The inside of this restaurant is modern-day art, so beautiful, so breathe taking the food was fantastic. The host set us right away she was very nice. The sever CJ was always checking in on us to see if we needed anything. waygu burger that was out of this world 🌎 I would definitely come back here again, and also, thank you for putting my birthday on the menu 💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍😁

The drinks are fantastic, but the food doesn't quite measure up. I'd recommend coming for cocktails, though be aware the oysters were on the small side.

Solid 4 star experience. We liked everything but weren't blown away. The happy hour is definitely the highlight of this place. 4-6:30 with $8 cocktail menu, $7 well drinks, and a limited appetizer menu. We had the watermelon pickled shrimp with vegetables on toast. It was very good. For entrees we had parpadelle Bolognese made with beef, duck, and pork, and the pork ribeye on a bed of some type of beans with peppers. Both entrees were tasty and hit the spot but were they worth $40 each, eh probably not. This restaurant does constantly change the menu so others' experiences might be a little better and some might be worse. But overall I'd say this is a great place, and probably the best happy hour in mt Dora.

Las Palmas Restaurant in Mount Dora, Florida offers a casual and friendly atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu features traditional Cuban cuisine including seafood paella, churrasco steaks, Cuban sandwiches, and chicken lime salad. The restaurant is known for its authentic family recipes and also offers vegetarian options. Customers can enjoy a full bar as well as take-out options. Despite being busy, the service is efficient and courteous.
Amazing food, amazing service. Good prices, very authentic atmosphere could not ask for more. If you are looking for Cuban food or just a really good restaurant to check out. This is it “Lupita”was such an amazing server. She’s so friendly and kind, everybody there was super professional and friendly. Could not ask for a better place to eat. The food is so delicious. Wide variety of options at fair prices. I am a truck driver out of Idaho. I travel all over the states try and restaurants all over the place. This is definitely in the top 10 of all the restaurants I go to.

Food is good and Mt. Dora offers atmosphere beyond. The restaurant itself has outdoor seating, which I lived becayse the streets are filled with people and fun, quirky shops. After you eat, walk down to the docks and watch a beautiful sunset. A tasty Cuban dinner turns into an experience. Worth your time and money.
Kelly B — Google review
Dined at Las Palmas… this was my 3rd visit. I’ve always sat outside and enjoy this. Chairs aren’t great but they are satisfactory. Ordered two iced teas (why don’t restaurants/serve staff put enough ice in “iced tea”?). If I’m ordering iced tea - I want ice! We had the “Havana” salad and “classic Cuban”. The salad would’ve been pretty good if they didn’t dump sooo much black bean juice onto the salad! It completely ruined the little bit of lettuce I received. The shredded pork was outstanding. The salad was more like a “pork & bean” bowl than salad. And truly if that’s what I had wanted - would’ve ordered that. The “classic Cuban” could’ve been great BUT they over mustard it and we like mustard. There was so much that if you order it - get mustard on the side. Service was interesting… our server had the personality of a dish towel however, he was attentive and efficient. It was strange having someone so lacking in personality be so adept at serving. We did tip accordingly (meaning 20%+) because he was capable. Just not pleasant.

The restaurant deserves 4 stars for its overall charm, but the location is unbeatable—definitely a 5-star zone! The food? Absolutely delicious—authentic Cuban flavor that hits the spot every time. What truly made the experience memorable was Lupita. Her service and recommendations were outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable—she made us feel right at home. Lupita is the reason I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Today was our first time visiting Mt Dora and Las Palmas, we moved close to this side of town a few days ago. This restaurant has authentic Cuban food! And it’s very cute for a family gathering or a date!!….Everything was amazing! The coconut mojitos were 2 for 1 and they are the best mojitos I have had in the Central Fl area! (Coming from a Cuban born) they were 2 for 1 but were not shy on the rum! The food was sooooo good!! Churrasco was nice and tender! The beans were just like back home!! And the vaca frita was to die for!!! But, you have to try the churros and espresso!! Omg that was amazing!! Also, taking a walk after dinner around the restaurant is “A MUST” such a cute area!! Our server today was very nice!! I didn’t get her name but she was from Mexico! Very sweet lady! Will definitely come back for more! Especially the vaca frita!! That was my favorite!!❤️

First time in Mount Dora, stopped at Las Palmas and had authentic Cuban Sandwich, fantastic sangria and mojitos. Love everything about Las Palmas, including the uniquely designed chairs. Our server, Bianca A. was perfect! She suggested the Flan-Quito for dessert and it was an exceptional blend of flan carmel and whipped cream the perfect ending to our meal. Oh man! This place is incredible. I had a pastrami on rye, and it was melty, crispy, and delicious! The mac and cheese was homemade and phenomenal! The service was kind and attentive. Excellent atmosphere - I’ll be back, for sure!

Really tiny and cute building with inside and outside seating, staff was helpful with menu suggestions. Got the pistachio iced coffee, so so good. I ordered the blt on an asiago bagel and the ruben. Sauce for the ruben was phenomenal. Got the tortillini pasta salad as my sides. Really fresh, really enjoyed our meals.
LiL T — Google review
Had high hopes especially since it said fresh but unfortunately was a huge disappointment. Got an everything bagel with an egg and provolone, came out to $9. Wouldn’t have minded if it actually tasted fresh but instead it tasted like any microwave egg and cheese on a bagel you get at any one of these fast food coffee shops 😕 staff was friendly, atmosphere was nice but the food wasn’t worth coming back. Would not recommend and do not see myself returning. They should not advertise food is fresh when it clearly is not made fresh to order.

‼️⚠️There was GLASS in both our drinks. I ate it without realizing it was glass, just thought it was strawberry seeds or tooth filling idk.. until my fiancé pulled out a chunk that he caught with his tongue. the staff was not apologetic and almost seemed annoyed. We still payed for the food and everything. Very dangerous, careless establishment.

Nestled by the serene lakeside, The Crazy Gator is a charming tavern that invites you to unwind on its inviting patio while savoring delicious dishes. Established in 2001 within a historic building that once served as a feed and supply store, this Eustis gem offers a glimpse into Lake County's past. With its dock still intact for boats, it’s an ideal spot for both locals and visitors alike.
Very friendly staff our server was Taylor she was amazing and refilled my drink without asking, which is a major plus when I go to a restaurant. We ordered wing and they were big and very tasty, we also ordered pretzel bites, which were also very good. Would definitely come back again.
Kevin P — Google review
Stopped here for dinner after a 10 hour drive. We had the gator bites as an appetizer, and they were kind of tough, didn't eat many but my friend loved them. We both got burgers as our mains and we both asked for them to be well done. They looked great and tasted amazing, but they were both pink in the middle, not well done. They were also too big for the bun, which was sweet so it gave the entire burger a bit of a weird flavor. My son had a hot dog from the kid's menu and again, looked great, but much too big for a kid. It was more of a polish sausage, not a hot dog. Atmosphere was nice, sat at a table with a great view of the sunset over the lake. Service was fantastic, our server was very sweet and attentive.
Jess S — Google review
Our first time there and found it's a nice, laid-back place for locals. Weather was nice so we enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the lake. Our server was Andrew. We had appetizers and beverages. Very nice location. Nothing fancy..just cold beer, good food, and friendly service.
Linda G — Google review
Great staff, they made me feel right at home. It was me and my kids, and we would definitely eat here again. I had a big, juicy, delicious burger. It was perfectly cooked and as fresh as can be. Was served generous portions for a good price! Something you don't get to see every day with it being right on the water like it is.
William S — Google review
I’ve always imagined the Crazy Gator as a laid-back lakeside spot where you could sit outside and take in the beauty of Lake Eustis. That wasn’t quite the case. While technically close to the water, the view is mostly blocked by a boardwalk, and there’s no true lakeside patio like you’d hope for. We were greeted quickly and told it was open seating. We made our way to the main dining room and grabbed a booth with a partial lake view. We thought a hostess was following us, but apparently not — we ended up waiting about 7 minutes before anyone came by. Candi, our server, was friendly and apologetic, and she did her best to keep up, even though a large private party was clearly pulling a lot of attention. I ordered the beer-battered seafood platter (fish, shrimp, scallops) with a Caesar salad and onion petals. My Wife went with the turkey cheese melt and fries. Presentation was basic, but the food tasted fine — nothing bad, nothing amazing. Honestly, I was just hoping for a bit more ambiance. Even the Yuengling I ordered came out barely cold. On a positive note, the music playing throughout the restaurant was really solid — probably the best part of the experience. All in all, it’s a place that could be something special with its location and vibe, but it just didn’t hit the mark for us this time.
Jim N — Google review
The Crazy Gator is a fun place to go. Great atmosphere, good food and service was excellent. I went with a group and Brooke was our waitress. She was absolutely fantastic - very friendly, efficient and anticipating our every need. The Crazy Gator is so fortunate to have such a wonderful server work for them. Will definitely be back again!

Great location next to Lake Eustis. If you’re into fried food, this place is for you. If you want salad, not the place. The Cobb salad had a poor assortment of diced tomatoes (3 or four pieces), a few black olives, and a few pieces of diced red onions. The grilled chicken wasn’t fresh. Looked like fresh frozen. The cocktails are worth it, though.
Mica G — Google review
This was an okay experience as restaurants go. The Cobb salad wasn’t great. The deep fried grouper was okay. I love grouper, but deep fried it’s not great. The fries were good as was the Cole slaw. Cool gator’s hanging from the ceiling. They don’t have air conditioning. Even with all the fans on it was hot in there.

I give 5 stars to our server, He was awesome. The main negative for us is that the place just seemed a little dirty from not caring or maintaining standards. We really didn't want to order food expecting the kitchen wasn't any better but we did and the food wasn't bad at all for a bar. It was ok. This place could be one we would frequent for decent bar food, reasonable drink prices and great location but they need to take it up a notch on maintaining standards that are above an average dive bar.

I heard about this place through a co worker so I decided to check it out. I came in had to wait a few minutes to be seated so I went to the restroom. Finally someone came to greet me. The same person I seen in the back of the place on her phone when I pulled up. She took my drink order and seated another couple. My drink was brought out along with theirs. She came back about 5 minutes to take my order. She took the other couple order after mines which they took for ever to order. They got busy really fast people were waiting to get drinks for a while. My burger and wings came out together. The presentation was great. My Garlic Parmesan wings were good my burger wasn't really cooked to the temperature as asked. Overall it was good. The prices are ok. They did have a special $.65 boneless wings. I had to wait for awhile to get my check cashed out but she was nice through all of it

I so wanted to live this place. It is a cute little place before town. Menu look great but execution was lacking. Wife got the chicken sandwich. It was dry 😪. I got the lakehouse burger. It was greasy. The fries were fresh cut but they did not prefer them and they were soggy and limp. The onion rings had a good batter, but the fryer temp was too low as they were greasy and the onions not cooked through.

Mt Dora is full of great places to eat. The Lake House Bar and Grill has the best hamburgers hands down. Their blue cheese burger was amazing and cooked the way I requested. I don’t see where all the negative comments are coming from about the staff. They’re always nice and very accommodating the past couple times I’ve been there. The breakfast omelettes are definitely worth the little 15 minute or so wait. The owner and (at the time) was head cook that day even came out to shake my hand and ask if everything was okay. It was great! I recommend The Lake House formerly known as Sidelines to anyone who enjoys a good brunch and mimosas! 😊 PS. The Bar Rescue episode was all staged.

Amazing little find!! We were aimlessly walking around Mt Dora and stumbled upon this amazing find! We spent the first 30 min just perusing around the place, taking in all the whimsical wall plaques and excellent wine selections. We finally selected several fantastic bottles & enjoyed them immensely. The man who checked us out was incredibly helpful and even accommodated our random request. Maggie’s Attic is a wonderful little wine bar in historic downtown Mount Dora. They have a great selection of wines at good prices, and it’s a welcoming spot whether you’re a local or just visiting. The real highlight for us has been the Wine Walks. Held on the first and third Saturday evenings of each month, these tastings feature more than 20 wines from around the world, spread across different venues downtown. It’s fun to stroll through the charming streets with glass in hand, tasting and chatting along the way. The locals and regulars who attend are always friendly, and we’ve had some great conversations and made new friends at these events. Joining their wine club is also a fantastic value, the membership is inexpensive and includes entry for two people to the Wine Walks at no additional cost. The evenings don’t end with the tastings either, after the walk, there’s live music in the courtyard. We especially enjoy when Sal & Izy play. Inside, there’s also a quiet upstairs with vinyl records and a record player. It’s a cozy little nook, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. All in all, Maggie’s Attic offers not only a strong wine program but also a real sense of community. Whether you’re here for a casual glass, looking to buy bottles at a good price, or want to experience the fun of a Wine Walk, this is a must-visit in Mount Dora.

Our second time here and it was delightful. Upstairs had a fabulous lake view and quieter than ground level. 2 of us had grilled haddock sandwiches which were delicious. Sadly the blackened haddock was tough. Hamburger and sides ( fries, mashed & sweet potato and slaw) were tasty. Our server was great 👍 Love the local nautical decor.

Absolutely loved my visit to Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille! The spot is perfect — right on the water with a chill, laid-back vibe and beautiful views. I tried the gator bites, and they were hands-down some of the best I’ve had — perfectly crispy outside and tender inside, packed with flavor. Paired them with a cold Eustis Lager, which was smooth, refreshing, and just hit the spot on a warm Florida day. Service was solid, and the staff made me feel right at home. Whether you’re riding in with friends or just passing through, this place is worth the stop. Hidden gem for sure — I will definitely be back!

Ate there for the first time today. The food was fresh and tasty, but unfortunately service was super slow today due to what look like staffing issues. Brooke was our server and she was great but so overwhelmed. I’m hoping management can figure out better staffing on busy event weekends.

What fun to go to lunch by boat! The Waterfront Grille has some dock spaces marked for restaurant patrons. Plus their patio is dog-friendly. Our server Sam was very attentive and helpful. I had the Grouper sandwich (grilled) and without the bun and it was plenty to fill me up for lunch will a few nibbles on the excellent sweet potato fries. My husband was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of cod he got with his order so I had to help him ;) and it was delicious with golden crunchy breading. Lunch came to around $50 with the tip, about expected these day, but good value for the money.

IHOP is a well-established chain known for its diverse selection of pancakes and classic American breakfast and diner dishes. The restaurant has multiple locations where patrons can enjoy their favorite meals throughout the week. Customers have praised the friendly staff, with one manager going above and beyond to fulfill a special request for a chocolate shake. While some visitors had previously been unimpressed with IHOP's offerings, they noted that the quality of food has significantly improved.
Staff on top of it. Helped with using our free points for a take home breakfast. Their food is fantastic. We use IHOP alot. Their prices are reasonable able. And plenty of choices. If you can't find a good meal, something is wrong g. Lol. They have vegetarian choices also.

During my recent adventures in Mount Dora, Florida, I stumbled upon a delightful gem known as Serendipity Brews. This charming establishment seamlessly blends the cozy atmosphere of a coffee shop with the vibrant energy of a craft beer bar. It's the perfect spot for both locals and visitors to unwind, whether you're indulging in their freshly brewed coffee or sampling from an impressive selection of 14 draft beers and over 150 packaged options.
I always enjoy being here, cozy atmosphere with very friendly staff. I always ask their recommendations and I love it every time. Simple yet unique blends :)

Our favorite coffee shop here and some of the best lattes ever, with the cutest mugs! We actually found our favorite mug from here online and bought a couple for home. The staff was also extremely nice and friendly!

I had a simply decent experience with a delicious parfait. The yogurt was hearty, not runny, fresh fruit, layers of honey, & fresh crunchy granola. So good! The spot was cozy with lots of seating. They have a kitchen that brings food to your table, but no servers. The bathroom is adorable, but very small so not mobility friendly. Unfortunately as expected in old mount dora. I visited on a busy art festival day, and i noticed some staff acted frazzled which came off a little rude. Im going to assume it was a fluke due to a busy time because that parfait was so good.

I actually really love this little place and the fun events they offer. Staff are always polite and patient-- even when I dropped by for a caffeine boost with two rowdy babies (2 under 2) once lol. Which, on that note, I really like that they have late nights those are always a blessing. Will continue to come for sure! P.S. Valentine's Bingo is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 fam and their seasonal drinks are delicious— would recommend

Nice place to sit for a chat. Multiple seating types. Sour dough muffin was delicious and the bagel and lox was also great. Sweet cream cold brew was awesome too.

Absolutely love this coffee shop! Every time I come in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming the kind of place that instantly brightens your day. The drinks are always spot-on, with rich, balanced flavors and consistent quality. The staff here truly make the difference. They’re not only quick and efficient, but also genuinely kind and personable, making every visit feel special. It’s clear they care about both the coffee and the customers. Whether you’re grabbing a quick latte on the way to work or settling in with a book, this shop delivers the perfect mix of comfort and quality. Easily my favorite coffee spot in town highly recommend!

Gastropub
The Funky Monkey gastropub, located on the third floor of the Renaissance building, offers a delightful dining experience. On my visit, I enjoyed their delectable Waygu sliders and pork fried rice. The sliders were served on a pretzel bun that was slightly larger than expected but had an excellent seasoning and taste. They were accompanied by a serving of fries. The pork fried rice was equally satisfying with its generous portion size and flavorful mix of beans, carrots, and green onions.
I loved the Funky Monkey. It's right in the middle of everything. It is a bit hard to find at first. It's on the second floor. They had live music. The food is tapas. Be careful while the dishes are small the portions add up. We couldn't finish all the food which was so good. Definitely get the beef egg rolls!

Had a great time. Live music by Paul. It made for an amazing late night snack and drinks. Small palce. We loved the food. Ramen and eggs rolls. Recommend for a quick Topas style and drinks.

This place has the best wings and ramen! I got the short rib ramen. Huge bowl, enough for 2 to share. The meat and noodles were amazing 😍. My husband got the wing. They were nice and meaty and tasted heavenly. Great selection of wines and cocktails. There were also a few beers on draft. Hubby got a great hazy IPA. The whole staff was amazing. So friendly and great knowledge of the menu. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this place.

This was a nice surprise. I came to town for a cake tasting gift my wedding and we were referred to this spot! Located upstairs we were greeted and seated quickly, and we both decided on three ribs ramen...I had to try it, and it was just as impressive as it's presentation. Our only complaint was the rib meat was too fatty, but the broth and other ingredients were delicious. We also ordered the baria egg rolls which street also satisfying. Great crunch, and presentation.

Stopped for lunch 6/30 first time We shared the waygu sliders & pork fried rice. Both were delicious. Sliders were on a pretzel bun which was a lot of bun for the size of the sliders, but really good seasoning/taste, they are served with fries. Pork fried rice was really nice…had a few beans, carrots, green onions etc mixed in, very generous portion! Fair prices. Bartender working (I can’t remember her name) was so sweet & personable & professional! Attended to all needs. Located in the Renaissance building third floor. Fun fact, the owners of Funky Monkey also own Frog & Monkey in the basement of sane building which we’ve eaten at several times & it’s always delicious.

Our first time here. The food was amazing. William our server was great recommending the most popular dishes and drinks. We are coming back for sure.

The food was really, really good. Everything was super tasty. As an FYI, the food is served tapas style and thus may not come out at the same time as everyone w/n your party. The cocktails were really tasty as well though they came out far after our food. We went on a Saturday which was nice as there was live music. Good vibes- will definitely go back.

The shop also serves strong coffee and espresso drinks to complement the treats. Customers can enjoy a nice contemporary atmosphere with limited seating both inside and outside. The Pecan bar is highly recommended for its flaky crust and generous pecan filling at reasonable prices.
Such a lovely bakery! The pastries are not only beautiful but incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the one filled with cream it’s perfectly sweet, and not stick at all. Just melts in your mouth. I even took a pecan bars home, and I really loved it! The pecan were super crunchy. The place is cozy and welcoming, with a peaceful atmosphere and friendly service. Love the atmosphere and fresh quality options. Service has a long way to go. Ordered my large coffee and pastry. $11.85. Got to my table and remembered I had a text offering a free pastry with a $10 purchase. I returned to the counter and showed the young man. He shrugged and said I would have to purchase another $10+ to get the offer. Seriously???? Within 5 minutes of my original purchase???? I love to support local business, but Starbucks or Foxtail has better customer service.

The best cheesecake and cookies I have found since leaving Atlanta! I am not sure what kind of magical deliciousness they put in their cheesecake but, their Oreo cheesecake is 10/10. I will be back! (Side note- it is bigger than pictured, I may have eaten some on the way home.)

Small counter service cafe with a nice selection of baked goods including muffins, cupcakes, cookies and assorted bars and scones. They also have a couple quiches by the slice. I had the Pecan bar. Very good flaky crust, caramel and loaded with pecan halves. Very reasonable prices. They serve drip coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages as well. There is limited seating (inside and out), but nice contemporary atmosphere. Very friendly and courteous service staff. Met expectations given the 4.9 rating. Highly reccomend.

Eden Abbey Brewing Community is a newly opened brew pub located in the former Mount Dora Brewing Co. It has a monastery-themed, community-focused atmosphere and offers both dining and entertainment. The venue features a spacious area with a stage for live performances by singers and full bands. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including steak kabobs, loaded BBQ pork fries, chicken empanadas, and Wagyu burgers.
We just happened to come across this local gem when we were visiting Mt. Dora last weekend! It also happened to be their first ever Oktoberfest, so we were able to enjoy extra fun activities that day! My two teenage daughters, husband, and myself had the best time!! We spent about 3-4 hours enjoying a great atmosphere, outstanding service, delicious food, and very fun entertainment!! There are 3 very different seating areas...a darling cafe section that looks like a cozy diner with board games to play at your table, a bar/pub section that features live music at select times, as well as a porch and outdoor seating area. They also have a fun play area on the porch for your little ones! I highly recommend visiting Eden Abbey. You won't be disappointed!

We had an excellent meal here. I got the special, which was a pasta with blackened chicken and sausage in a thick cream sauce. We got a wagyu burger. Finished it off with a apple crisp. Atmosphere was awesome other then a drunk dude with an obnoxious dog. But the meal was good and the Atmosphere was excellent 👌🏽

We stopped into Eden Abbey Brewing on a Sunday evening after the Mount Dora Craft Show. We sat inside the taproom, but there’s also a beautiful outdoor area that’s perfect for relaxing with a pint. I sampled a few beers, and my favorite was Das Brot, German-style Dunkle brown lager with a toasty, malty flavor that finishes clean, dry, and crisp. We ordered the kettle chips to start, which came out piping hot, perfectly crunchy, and sprinkled with a flavorful proprietary seasoning blend. They paired perfectly with the beer. For dinner, we split a Hog Heaven Burger with tater tots and a Fiery Clucka sandwich. The tater tots were some of the best we’ve ever had: crisp, golden, and not greasy. The Hog Heaven was huge: juicy beef topped with a mound of kalua-style pulled pork, bacon, cheese, and sweet smoky BBQ sauce, all balanced with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The Fiery Clucka was another winner, tender buttermilk fried chicken layered with crispy bacon, chipotle beer cheese, and firebreather aioli on a toasted brioche bun. Not overly spicy, just packed with flavor. As the evening went on, Kristin Tucker & The Abbey Band started playing. The music was great with strong vocals and a good vibe. The Christian song choices weren’t quite our thing, but the performance overall was solid and the crowd was clearly enjoying it. We eventually left when we had enough of it, to each his own I guess. Between the excellent beer, delicious food, and live entertainment, this place checks all the boxes. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend.

Really cute building inside and out. You seat yourself, nice little loung area with couches and cute outdoor area. There was a live band in the main bar area, lounge is separate so if live music is not your thing you can still have peace. I got the steak skewers paired with sticky rice and yummy fruit salad. Comes with a chimichurri, really fresh. Staff was very nice, informative about the area and menu. We ordered everything suggested, our first time visiting. Above and beyond experience.

On a visit to Mt Dora, we had dinner at this amazing brewery. All three of us in the party were very impressed. It was a very busy night with live music and right before the craft fair weekend. Regardless, the service was personal, prompt and outstanding. It was a group effort with multiple servers helping us, making recommendations and checking on us throughout our visit. The helpful, attentive service surpassed many high end restaurants I have been to over the years. The beer selections were excellent. There were a couple of Fall oriented specials that were great, but my favorite was the Eden Dreams which is on their regular menu. They are also very good at keeping the online menu updated, so you can peruse and plan your choices ahead of time. For many breweries the food is a side note, but at Eden Abbey you can very happily have a great dinner or lunch. We tried the chicken and shrimp empanadas and members of our party had the shrimp and chicken skewers, the Johnny Pacific salad (our waitress suggested we sub that for the skewers salad choice and it was delicious) and the burger. Our server also recommended sauces that would complement the skewers and were spot on. Each item was flavorful and well prepared and presented. The atmosphere is also very inviting with a plant lined, brick wall tap room with several communal high tops and a side room with fireplace and individual booths and tables. If I lived closer, this would be my go to spot. If you are visiting Mt Dora, I definitely encourage you to give the place a try.

WOW, talk about a great find on a quick day trip to Mount Dora!!! This gem of an eatery was superb and our party of 6 adults all agreed that the food was off the charts outstanding. The owner, Eve, personally served us with an assist from Joey at the bar. Everything from the pretzel bites to the sandwiches were on point, delicious and perhaps the best we ever had. Yes, it’s that’s good. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else as Eden Abbey should without question be your first choice! Also, love the Christian vibe - Pax et Bonum! Thank you, Eve!

Back Porch Pizza Bar is a fantastic spot with amazing pizza, great atmosphere, and excellent staff service. We tried the four-cheese with ricotta and the Italian pepperoni, both packed with flavor and that unforgettable touch of the brick oven. Wolf Branch Brewing is a small taproom with room for 20 or so, but don’t worry, Mt Dora has an open container law, convenient for pour and go. Today’s flight consisted of: Dora Blonde, Under Duck Lager (Central 28), Snow Pigeon IPA (Central 28) and Coocha Milk Stout. Mount Dora Brewing is a charming brewpub and American eatery that offers a unique dining experience with its kitschy dining rooms, beer garden, and diverse music acts. Visitors have praised the delicious breakfast options, including the best hash brown casserole and huge pancakes. The menu features great appetizers, a full food menu, and local beers. While some suggest expanding the beer selection, others appreciate the fresh and tasty food offerings.
We have been here for dinner and to see Brian Smalley. Today we decided to go for breakfast. We went about 10 am on a Sunday. First, there were very few people. That usually makes me nervous. Now, I am wondering why because the food was really great! They have THE BEST hash brown casserole we have ever had and the pancakes are huge! Give them a try. You will not be dissatisfied.

I was excited to try this place due to the raving reviews, but now I think it’s a joke. I was SO DISAPPOINTED. The beer is mediocre at best. Not worth the money. The waitress WAS the cook! I hear a lot of slamming and microwave use. I ordered a chicken wrap, it had one chicken tender and the rest was lettuce. I paid $10 for lettuce. Mozzarella sticks, were not edible. They were disgusting! This place is horrible and won’t be back! I’m upset I wasted a meal on this place.

First visit today for late lunch. It’s a seat yourself bar and restaurant with table service. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers with fries and Soft pretzels with beer cheese as appetizer. The beer cheese was very tasty, with a soft hint of mustard and decently thick. This is worth coming in for by itself. The burgers were a good size and pretty tasty. The fries were served one of three ways and we chose beer battered. They were fairly thick, crisp and fresh. Service is friendly and quick. This is a nice casual place to stop in to dine and or drink. We will be back.

When I got there the place was packed! Not a seat left in the front room where band was. I snaked my way through the tables to ask someone behind the bar about additional seating. It was around the corner and completely deserted. Although there was a large screen in the back to keep watching the band, I’m more of a social person so I went back around and at that moment a gentleman at the bar said he was about to leave and I could have his spot so that was great. The only reason I’m giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is usually when I go to a brewery I like to try a variety of their beers in a flight but it was so busy I just ordered a single beer so I was disappointed I didn’t get to fully experience their selection. With it being so busy it was pretty cramped. But other than that, there were lots of people dancing to a phenomenal group of musicians (The Boulevard-check them out on Facebook!) and the energy was fabulous! I had a great time dancing and meeting new people, talking with the band and eventually the owner and brewmaster of the joint. All great, talented people that were fun to be around. I will be back!!

While the staff was nice and friendly, the beer was really not good. The blonde ale is oddly tart and the others aren’t any better. They only have three beers of their own, the other three are mixes of those. Not impressed, so we didn’t order food.

I had lunch at this restaurant with friends, and I absolutely loved it! This place is wonderful. The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. My lemon pepper salmon was cooked just right—not dry at all, but perfectly moist and tasty. For dessert, we had peach cobbler with a huge scoop of ice cream—honestly, it was so good they could sell it separately! The atmosphere was fantastic. They played classic music on speakers, and the view of the lake from the veranda was beautiful. We chose to sit outside, but the inside looked cozy and well-designed too. The staff was super friendly and attentive, always checking to make sure we were comfortable. They really care about you.

Ham, turkey and cheese deep fried sandwich covered in powder sugar. Dalton was our server, really enjoyed our time here. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Inn on a lake. Had lunch on the large outside porch facing the lake. Beautiful view, the food was fantastic as was the outstanding service from Nora. Definitely coming back here!
Maria H — Google review
Nora was a wonderful server. Five of us gals met at this restaurant because it was a halfway point between us all Nora Was our server and she was efficient, knowledgeable about the food, and served in efficient and timely manner. She checked in on us, but did not rush us, and she made this meeting extra special. She is a most valuable staff member and we will be back and asking for her as our server again.

Beautiful place to grab a meal and check out the historical hotel. Had a fantastic meal with excellent service. Check the hours for meal service as they take a break between breakfast and lunch. Awesome experience
Jason — Google review
We sat where there was a nice view of the small garden area. Nice, quiet ambience in the room akin to bygone restaurants where proper cordiality and genteel manners prevailed over cell phones on speakers, private conversations made public, and loud table talk amongst guests. The food was rather hit and miss. The Philly was plentiful in meat. Fries crisp. The field greens house salad was served warm so not appetizing. The pot pie was lacking in chicken and veggies to a heavy cream sauce ratio but good tasting all the same. The carrot cake was a very small portion. Good brewed tea. Nice experience but not a wow factor at $60 for 2 people.

This store is one of my favorites of Mt.Dora that I I have to visit every single time I am in town. I love how there is a variety of different things inside from the book nooks to the lovely trinkets. There’s an entire children’s area and the 🌱 ugh the PLANTS ! I never knew a store could have so many things that I adored definitely a hidden gem that needs to be checked out when visiting Mount Dora.

Super cute spot in Historic Mount Dora! I’ve recently started getting into house plants and they have the cutest (and relatively better maintained) plants. Give this shop a visit while you’re wandering around town. Oh! And don’t forget your mask 😊

The #1 prettiest store I've ever seen. The owner is sooo nice. I have plants I've gotten from there 3 years ago that are alive and well because they sell great plants. The whole place has the vibe of an enchanted forest. It's a great place to get some things to make your life more beautiful, it also has tons of wonderful things that make great gifts.

Very cute shop with unique gifts and beautiful plants

The best corner bar I have ever visited. Many times you go to bars and have a nice experience because of the people you are with, this time our experience was made all thanks to Camden. All he had to do was ask my boyfriend and I to come in to have what we thought was going to be one drink, to what ended up being multiple. Cam made us feel like he was inviting us into his home. Great host, bartender and friend. Mount Dora became a special place to us thank to this bar. Will definitely come again to see a good friend and have some good drinks.

I love this shop! Full of butterflies and they have some really cute items throughout the store. I bought some fake hydrangeas but they feel and look so real. The service is great and they wrap the bags really nice if you’re giving something away as a gift.

Mt Dora open container and Mimosas! We dtop here with every visit. There are always new mixes for the seasons. The poors of champagne are very healthy! We always opt for the double, which is $12 each. The smaller option is $6 each.

Emilee J — Google review
A fresh take on mimosas. Don't remember the name of this drink, but it was delish! Just go ahead and get the double 😘

I’m such a cute place and a very clever idea! The owner is so friendly and the mimosas are delicious. The best part is that she is not skimpy on the champagne .

This brewery has SO many styles of beer. Everyone will be happily satisfied. The beers are excellent. They also have wine and other drinks as we well has heavy appetizers. Good beer, good food, good people. It's the perfect 🥰 situation!!!! I love this place.

So, this place Craft Beer Brewery has a lot to offer. If you want to learn & see how the beer is brewed and ask questions all I had to do is ask. I could try the beer before I bought a glass. They have specials and seating outside with different games. The menu has flat bread (I had the pepperoni) and it was great. They also have wings. This would be a great place to hold a meeting or event. I traveled about 450 miles to see my family and friends at Mac & Whitney Brewing and I was not disappointed. Come out and check them out.
Jay W — Google review
A pleasant surprise. Finally found a brew I like (I ordered two of their ‘Red Nile’!) Clean and quiet. Hope to see it stick around.
Breanna M — Google review
Mac & Whitney Brewing has transformed into our go-to destination. The inviting atmosphere, a wide-ranging beer selection (definitely try a flight if you're a first-timer), and exceptional food make it a standout. Their outdoor space is perfect for gatherings. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a newcomer to the craft beer scene, your experience here will exceed expectations. Prepare for nothing short of satisfaction!
Adam G — Google review
Super fun new place. The staff couldn't have been nicer or the place more clean. The live music was exceptional (Richard Lawrence Hull). We enjoyed all the different beers and our snacks were very good. The only thing I would change (and it's not a complaint but a personal preference...maybe because I'm getting older 🤦‍♀️🤣) is I would like the lighting dimmer and softer. Other than that it's a must check out.
Jessica B — Google review
Chris was great and accommodating. The place is very nicely decorated and fun. The bathroom is so chic. The beers- amazing. I had the cleopatra one (lavender sour) and it tasted exactly like you would expect. Delicious.
Krystal C — Google review
great little brewery near Mount Dora. the beers are all really good and very clean, zero off flavors. there is plenty of seating, some arcade games, trivia weekly, and a really big back yard for the little ones to run around while you enjoy a drink. simple pub food selection but it was all tasty and fairly priced.
Michael Y — Google review
Sorry, no photos. Awesome little brewery. 10 taps all home brewed at the establishment. Cool live band of classic Rock this evening, no idea booking schedule. I'll definitely return. Going back again next Friday evening. Light foods like wings, pizza, and fries. Few other items.
