The Leighton Buzzard Railway, a historic light steam railway, offers visitors a 70 to 85-minute journey on tracks dating back to 1919. Originally used for transporting sand and materials from local quarries, it now operates as a popular steam train attraction in the UK. The railway showcases a collection of steam trains built between 1877 and 1936 and runs regular passenger services operated by volunteers.
A great experience for the kids, staff are fantastic & friendly. We did the pirates 🏴‍☠️ day which was a fun filled time. Trains leave every few hours. Parking next to the station is free so you’re only paying for the train ride, which we booked online before hand.
ADG — Google review
Great experience with my family. Our 4yr old absolutely loved it. We managed to secure front row seats, right behind steam train. Engine was beautifully restored. Sunny day, a bit of adventure when ash from the train caused a small fire near the tracks. Couldn't have asked for more. Truly memorable and fun-filled day. A+.
Łukasz R — Google review
Great place for a family visit, especially if you’re into trains. I really enjoyed our little train ride,it was a lovely, relaxing trip with some fun stops along the way. There were a few kids' attractions that kept the little ones entertained, and at the Stonehenge Works Station, we found a nice selection of homemade souvenirs. All in all, a charming and enjoyable day out!
Andrzej S — Google review
This is an absolute must to visit if you want a different railway journey. It's run by volunteers who all do a fantastic job to keep this miniature railway running. Starting by pages park it travels along to the Stonehenge works crossing roads and running by homes you get to see Leighton Buzzard in a different view. We had a slight hiccup or a technical fault lol but that didn't disappoint us. They were apologetic and we weren't that late. It mirrors the problems of the grown up railway lol. I would highly recommend this and they cater for disabled people admirally
William M — Google review
A miniature nostalgic trip. We visited this narrow gauge steam railway for the first time on its gala weekend, we were on the 1st train on the Sunday morning and had a great time
Anita B — Google review
Great narrow gauge railway with beautifully prepared locos and rolling stock. The experience would be even better if the line didn't traverse built up areas. Still, travelling behind a hard working ex-industrial loco is a treat not to be missed.
Michael A — Google review
Fun afternoon out. It was a pirate day, and although my friends young lad did not want to participate in that, he loved the train ride and watching the pirates soak other people! The volunteers were lovely and knowledgeable answering questions.

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Leighton Buzzard, Cafe Sorelli is a delightful spot that captures the essence of cozy dining. This charming cafe, housed in a character-filled old building with low ceilings, offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. Guests rave about the freshly prepared full English breakfast and expertly brewed Americano, all made to order. The spacious seating arrangements both downstairs and upstairs ensure comfort while enjoying their delicious menu options.
We came here by chance for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The food was very fresh and tasty, and the place has a soft Italian vibe to it. The staff were exceptionally attentive and nice, made our experience that much better! Highly recommend!
Oferharan — Google review
I visited yesterday, I was in Leighton Buzzard for the day and wanted a family run establishment. It did not disappoint at all. My husband was working and I ordered a take out cappuccino for him and asked for a table for myself once I’d dropped his coffee of to him. I was offered a couple of tables and it was spotlessly clean. I was offered a menu once seated. I ordered the almond croissant and the granola pot to go with my cappuccino. It arrived and the croissant was HUGE! The granola was absolutely gorgeous, fresh and tasty. Let’s get to the croissant - it was the best almond croissant I have tasted. The pastry was light and fluffy and the filling was plentiful. It was a taste sensation. I got chatting to the lady sat on the next table and even shared it with her as it was too big for me to finish!! It was difficult to eat it without a mmmm this is delicious after every mouthful! I loved the community feel of the place either lots of people popping in on their own for a coffee to couples and friends meeting for a chat.I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and didn’t feel rushed at all and it was super busy. I live in Leeds so a bit far to just pop in but if you are visiting Leighton Buzzard or live there you should 100% give it a go.

The pasta is just delicious. Their desserts are all very tasty and high quality. Never been disappointed, it’s become my favorite place to eat in.

Popped in on Saturday for brunch with a friend. First time in after the refurbishment, just wow. It looks amazing and had a great atmosphere. Friendly staff with great service. Food as always was fantastic and love the revamped menu. Didn't have cakes this time but they all looked amazing. Love that you can pick up a freshly baked sourdough loaf on your way out too.
Lesley A — Google review
Genuinely wish I’d visited this cafe sooner. Great place for a fresh full English breakfast and an americano. Everything is cooked to order which is great to know. Sorelli is a lovely old building with low ceilings and full of character. Lots of room downstairs and up to be seated. A great little cafe with very good quality food. We shall return!
James R — Google review
We had lunch here. Everything is clean and in good order, I think recently refurbished. The food was tasty and well-presented. All four of us enjoyed our meals and were fully satisfied. It was very busy today and we had to wait a while for a table for four. Alas, they won't accept a booking for fewer than five people. Service was very professional and our waitress, Paris, was friendly and very pleasant, despite navigating an obviously very new ordering system. The food came quickly and was exactly as ordered. It was a nice experience and we hope to be back there soon.

Down from Scotland for a flying visit and popped in here for a late breakfast. What a friendly welcome. We had the Sorelli Breakfast & Advocado sourdough with poached eggs. Absolutely delicious, highly recommend. Great coffee, had to have 2 cups! A special mention to Kim our waitress who was lovely to chat with. A great service all round.

Long-established, family owned & run, town centre, cosy coffee shop (with tea & soft drinks available). Fully refurbished Spring 2025 has improved the layout. Staff are welcoming & efficient, excellent coffee, wide selection of cakes, scones etc., plus a good selection of breakfast/lunch options.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax with friends or family. With a focus on using fresh, local ingredients, every meal is crafted from scratch right on-site.
Me and my family love it here. We come most weekends for a breakfast. It’s a great relaxed atmosphere where you can take young children and not feel stressed. I have a dairy allergy and love that they provide alternatives so i can eat alongside everyone else without feeling left out! Lovely waffles. Great pancakes and a fantastic full english!

Lovely Staff, very friendly and waited open past their closing time for me to do a late order and collection, I appreciate it a lot. Food is great! It's so nice having a gluten free restaurant so close to home. Also has a little soft play area with a small ball pit and toys so kids would love it.
Ashley E — Google review
Lovely atmosphere, clean and does not give the feeling of a regular restaurant. A lovely kids area, if you have kids and amazing drinks selection if you want to have a taste of special drinks from certain parts of the world. Would prefer if they offered meal deals with drinks while ordering online as well.
Nicholas I — Google review
I'm a regular customer who has been visiting weekly for the past year with a group of children and parents, and we've always had a positive experience—until today. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find the facilities in poor condition. There was a soiled nappy in the toilets that had been there since Wednesday (it's now Friday), blood on the toilet surfaces, and a general lack of cleanliness throughout. When I sat down for my meal, I was served a substandard coffee that was both poorly made and incorrectly presented (served in the wrong cup and undersized, had a lovely one Wednesday in the right cup). Shortly after, a female staff member approached me regarding the soft play area. While I understood that children weren't permitted to use it, her manner was abrupt and unwelcoming, demonstrating a complete lack of customer service skills. The service issues continued when a young staff member was unable to explain what was included in the children's meal. The overall experience was so poor that I left without eating the food we had ordered. After a year of loyal patronage, I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. I really liked the main guy there, he’s great with our kids. But the girls he had working today were terrible.
Denis W — Google review
After living in the area for more than 3 years, we finally gave the cod and waffle a visit. It’s nice, spacious and bright inside with windows the whole length of the building. Service was great. We were seated straight away and able to order drinks. Their coffee was very nice. Moving to mains, their food lives up to the hype. They serve authentic tasting fish and chips in here which I didn’t expect. The cod looks freshly battered and tastes the part too. Gorgeous with their homemade tartare sauce. The chips are so morish as well. Same ones you’d get from a chippy. My stack burger however was the star of the show. Had it with some thick cut smoked bacon, burger sauce, pickles and cheese. Very messy but so succulent and flavourful. I was amazed that we have this food on our doorstep. They also have a selection of imported soft drinks and candies from the US/china which is an interesting touch!
James R — Google review
Went today and to be honest, I liked my chilli waffle but my husband hated his benedict waffle, he said it was dry and the sauce tasted funny. This is why I'm leaving a middling score.
Rachel W — Google review
Absolutely awful service and quality from here. I ordered through Just Eat. Food took ages to come. Driver stopped to get fuel on the way and sat with my food in the car for twenty minutes. When I phoned the restaurant to complain I was told nothing they would do as it was a Just Eat problem. The food arrived cold and inedible. It also smelt really foul. The fish was off. The smell was disgusting. I asked to speak to manager, who refused to speak to me. Was told report to Just Eat. I did say it’s the restaurants choice to use a delivery service but the restaurants responsibility to ensure food quality and standards are good. They didn’t care. I have reported to environmental health as this food I received is off. I wouldn’t touch it it smelt so bad. Do not use they don’t care about service at all.

Rustico Italian Bistro is a little piece of Italy located in the heart of Linslade near Leighton Buzzard. It has been hailed for its authenticity and use of fresh, local ingredients to prepare all dishes from scratch. The restaurant is known for its all-day breakfast and steak ciabatta, making it a popular spot for breakfast and lunch. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its fresh ingredients, good portion sizes, and welcoming hosts.
Absolutely incredible, authentic, delicious experience. From starters through to dessert, every course was immaculate. The host was so accommodating, and made every aspect of our dinner enjoyable and memorable. Even down to the birthday wishes! This is what it’s all about. An absolute must visit!

Homemade authentic Italian food, very tasty & reasonably priced. Very small restaurant in a former Victorian terrace house which makes it atmospheric. Perhaps the lights could be dimmed at night with table lights to create a bistro vibe. Would definitely return and keep room for desserts!!

Wonderful first visit to Rustico! Every item on the menu is cooked fresh and was delicious! Pork could have come with some veggies, but other than that, a fab meal, paired with very good wine!

So underrated! Why aren’t people talking about this place more? So much attention and care has gone into the food - fresh ingredients, very tasty. Small menu, done beautifully. Excellent service, and great value for the quality. Best restaurant in Leighton Buzzard for us.

An absolute gem and, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Leighton Buzzard! Their pasta is cooked to perfection while the starters are plated like works of art. For this level of flavour and presentation at such a reasonable price, it’s a place I’d recommend again and again.

The Pantry, a charming café nestled in the heart of LB Town, offers a delightful dining experience. Their menu features delectable dishes like the three cheese Welsh rarebit and Eggs Royale with Smoked Salmon. The three cheese option is absolutely delicious, exuding an abundance of cheesiness and accompanied by a refreshing side salad. The Eggs Royale are equally enjoyable, boasting perfectly poached eggs.
Delicious Welsh Rarebit with mushrooms freshly made and came with a little salad. My friend had the breakfast that also looked really good. Lovely latte and the tea is served in a pot. Will definitely be back!
Judith M — Google review
Went to The Pantry for brunch on Sunday and fell in love with their garden. We ordered veggie breakfast, toast & jam and orange burrata salad. Breads were thickly cut and perfectly toasted. Burrata was as fresh as it can be. All in all, food was amazing. The service, on the other hand, was terribly slow. Appreciate that it was a busy morning with lots of customers and fewer staff however, we were sat there for well over 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Even after reminding the waiting staff, nobody showed up for another 10 minutes. Then finally I had to walk over to the indoor payment counter for the staff to make a note of our order. Coffee was served immediately however food took good 15 minutes and even then they missed the burrata salad. While it’s my first experience at The Pantry and don’t want to be judgemental, it looks like others have reported similar experiences in the reviews which kinda indicates that they perhaps need more staff.
Shantanu K — Google review
We visited this restaurant with a small group—5 adults and 4 children, including a newborn. Despite the place being empty, the staff refused to push two tables together so we could sit together as a family, forcing us to separate the children at a different table. This was already inconvenient, especially with a newborn in the group. When it came to ordering, one of our friends—who is heavily pregnant—was attending to her young son in the restroom and wasn’t ready to place her order yet. Instead of accommodating this, the staff abruptly informed us that the kitchen was closing for last orders “right now,” leaving no flexibility. The food was very average and overpriced for what it was. To make matters worse, we had to ask three times for cutlery, and the service overall was abysmal. We felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff the entire time. We chose this restaurant hoping for a pleasant experience, but instead left feeling disappointed and unwelcome. Would not recommend.
Emily M — Google review
Great location and plenty of space, both indoors and out. The decorations are welcoming and give off a cosy vibe. Sadly, the food and coffee were below average – small portions and nothing memorable. For what you get, it’s definitely overpriced. It looks the part but doesn’t quite deliver. Worth a try once, but not somewhere I’d rush back to.
Tanjeet K — Google review
What they have done out the back of here is beautiful! You walk down the alley into this beautiful lit up area that could be anywhere in Europe! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and look after us well. The cocktails there are outstanding! Freshly made and all look great. Would recommend to all.
Luke F — Google review
I came here this morning with my family. The staff were pleasant. The tea was not very hot and was very weak. They obviously didn’t warm the pot before making the tea . The bubble and squeak was disgustingly. It wasn’t crispy and tasted watery and boiled. The sausage tasted a bit raw . I’m surprised I haven’t had diarrhea and the food wasn’t hot
Angela C — Google review
The place has super friendly staff. A very affordable place to eat. The food was absolutely tasty and very presentable. It is a family friendly place. You can watch the birds whilst you eat. My favorite place in Leighton buzzard to stop for breakfast or lunch.

Fantastic cafe in the heart of LB Town! We got the three cheese Welsh rarebit and Eggs Royale with Smoked Salmon. The 3 cheese was scrumptious. As you can imagine very cheesy and came with a nice side of salad. The eggs royale was good too and the eggs poached perfectly. We also got a chai latte and special hot chocolate, both of which were very delicious. The hot chocolate comes with marshmallows, which aren't vegetarian, so they kindly substituted it for chocolate flakes. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor. The outdoor seating looks like very quaint and has an enchanted forest feeling. Would highly recommend. Will definitely try and visit again!

Intended to have a coffee and maybe a cake but ended up having a lovely meal sat by the canal side. Haven't visited here before but will definitely be back. One very good classic burger and a creamy chicken and mushroom with mash and asparagus dish later and we were both stuffed lol. Lovely staff as well adds to the experience.

Popped by as was on a bike meet and wanted some breakfast. Service spot on and friendly. Ordered sausage sandwich on brown withe hash browns and a tea. Tea was in a pot and a hub of milk. Sandwich came with crisps and salad garnish. Sauces in bottles available. Sandwich tasted fresh, was hot and bread was fresh. The garnish made me smile. First time I’d had a garnish with a breakfast sandwich!! Came to £11 which I felt was a bit on the steep side. Some of the other guests had the full blown English breakfast and that looked impressive!! Note difficult to park and it’s right on the road about. I was on my bike and had to park on the pavement temporarily

Great cafe with semi-outdoor seating (downstairs) next to the canal. This premise is dog-friendly in the outdoor section as well. Fantastic food at a reasonable price. I love the sausages (very herby) and crunchy hash browns. Fruits and vegetables are fresh and sweet. Dishes are plated perfectly and are very colourful. All accompanied by the canal view and it's quite serene in the early morning. We'll definitely return in the near future 😃

Room No9 Gift Shop & Cafe is a delightful little gem that perfectly combines a cozy atmosphere with delicious offerings. This charming spot has quickly become a favorite for its fresh, flavorful food and friendly service. Guests rave about the avocado and poached egg on toast, complemented by thick-cut bacon and mushrooms served atop spinach leaves. The coffee here is equally impressive, making it an ideal place to unwind.
Accidentally bump into the cafe upstairs the beautiful gift shop with warm and chill interior, nice and cozy area from a cup of coffee to a breakfast or light bite. Absolutely recommended to others and they made me a very nice breakfast upon my request even not on the menu. Not to mention the huge Victoria Sponge and Mocha Cake not overly sweet but very fresh and soft in the middle. Just right! Definitely come back again.

This is a busy little place and have been here many times. Today we ordered a cloudy lemonade which was placed on the table in a can and we were charged £3. The can was clearly labelled from Waitrose (and costs £2.15 for a 6 multi pack). Not expecting it to be artisan, hand pressed and delivered in a silver platter but given Waitrose is literally around the corner, wouldn’t have been so hard to have placed it in a glass? It was just a reminder that we could have picked up a drink and a sandwich from Waitrose on the way back to the car park.

Undoubtedly the best place in LB for quality coffee. The baristas are always super friendly and are skilled, knowledgeable, and consistent in their craft. A really nice array of sweet treats too, and a small selection of brewing equipment available to buy.

Lovely cofee. Flat white was brilliant. You can taste the coffee ☕️. Would recommend. Could do with a little more choice of cakes but that's not the reason I'll go there. They sell coffee and they are good at it.

I absolutely loved this Icelandic style espresso bar!! I was in the town for work and from my instincts I chose this place to get my daily espresso. I was very impressed!! Icelandic style coffee house. So they specialise in a lighter roast of beans . I ordered my usual espresso and it was made straight away for me . The staff were very friendly . The interior is decorated well to trend with a modern European espresso bar . The ethos and brand statement are written on 1 the walls and it's a nice touch to peruse while ones drink is being made. They have a selection of yummy treats available too.

A lovely little coffee shop. Stopped for coffee and cake whilst passing through. Great coffee and cozy vibe. Lots of vegan cake options. I accidently smashed one of the hanging lights which shattered into lots of pieces everywhere and the staff were really good about it 🤦‍♂️

After drinking coffee at espresso head for over a year now, I can still safely say this is the BEST coffee house for miles! This is coffee done right! No mugs steaming hot burnt coffee here! And all for the best price in leighton! Vicky, you make the best coffee!!

Your Cafe in the Park is a delightful spot that perfectly blends relaxation and fun, making it an ideal choice for families. Regular visitors appreciate the ease of booking, ensuring a calm environment for kids during playdates. The venue shines with cleanliness and attentive staff who are always ready to assist. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion like a birthday or simply enjoying some time outdoors, this cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating options alongside beautiful park views.
Visited on the weekend! New cafe and looks fab! Does a kids lunch box, ice cream, chips and coffee. £2 for a cone so reasonably priced. With toilets and seating both inside and outside. Dog and kids friendly. This place is fab with the park, skate park and woodland.

We held my son’s fourth birthday party at the venue today and found it outstanding. They made the whole process so easy and had someone on hand to help us and even assist setting up and tidying up. The room is big, clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, quick service. Ideally situated by the park so you can enjoy a drink and/or snack after some exercise. There are tables both outside and inside. We had tea and teacakes, while the table next to us was enjoying a full English. They use disposable cups even for eat-in drinks.

We come here for playdates regularly, I love that you have to book so its not really busy for the kids. We booked the venue for our sons 4th birthday today, was easily to navigate the booking, food was great, staff attentive and really helpful when we arrived. I have always said I love Cafe in the park because it is so clean! It is one of the main reasons we booked our sons birthday party here, all the facilities are so well looked after! Thank you xx

We visited today with our friend and her dog Sonny along with our 2 Lottie and Charlie. We were made to feel so welcome and you could tell from the vibes everyone was enjoying themselves. Loved the fact our furbabies had their photo taken 'Trio of cuteness' 🥰

Soup was nice. Not happy about a customer being allowed (by staff) to let their dog sit on the upholstered seats (having just been running around on the muddy grass) and run around off the lead. The chairs look like this happens regularly. Won’t be sitting on those!

Great location. A good place to sit and admire the views when the weather is good. A good place to sit and keep warm and dry when the weather is inclement. Absolutely spotless.

Friendly, clean and tidy. Served quickly, plenty of space inside and out. Sausage baps were hot and tasty as were the drinks tea/latte - you could eat/drink in or takeaway - great position within the park, plenty of free parking - wheelchair, child and dog friendly.

I have just moved to a village about half an hour away from Frankie's Cafe and I am really fussy with food so I spent a while trawling the internet for a new breakfast place for me to indulge in on my cheat days when I discovered this little gem. The staff are really friendly, the atmosphere is lovely as they seem to have a lot of regulars that the staff have come to know, the choice of food is immense as there are just so many options to pick from, the food itself is absolutely delicious, the portion sizes are very generous and the prices I feel are extremely cheap for the amount of food that you receive. There's also ample parking on the road and it is very kid-friendly. I can't wait for my family to visit so that I can take them here as I know they will love it! Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be returning👌 If you haven't visited here before, I strongly suggest you do - you will not regret it!

Costa Coffee is a delightful counter-service coffee chain that serves up an array of hot beverages, refreshing iced coolers, and a tempting selection of sweet snacks and sandwiches. If you're on the go, you can enjoy a discount by bringing your reusable mug for takeaway drinks. Plus, Costa is committed to sustainability; they recycle takeaway cups at designated facilities in the UK. While some locations may experience issues like warmth or early closing times—especially on market days—the overall atmosphere remains inviting and cozy.
Very nice Costa tucked away in Leighton Buzzard. Very friendly staff and a good start to the morning. Great large cappuccino
Adrian D — Google review
I usually stick to and support independent Coffee shops but on Sunday I was in town early and Costa was the only coffee establishment open, I decided to pop in for a quick Latte. Staff were super friendly, but considering it was 9:30am the tables were dirty with empty cups, half eaten food and it wasn’t even busy. They remained like this during the 30 minutes I was in there. The latte wasn’t great (as per the picture), looked like an afterthought and tasted really weak like a milky water where the coffee bean had merely skimmed the top of it. Safe to say I’ll be passing on getting a coffee from here even if the Independents are shut.
Luke G — Google review
Been here 6 times. I walk the dog very early but end my walk at Costa dead on 8 o’clock which is perfect because that’s the time it opens! Nope I’m wrong, it’s doesn’t it opens when the employees that work at Costa feel like it. Once it was 8:10, 8:07 and so many other times that were after 8 o’clock. The staff have no customer service, no good morning even when I say it to them I get nothing back and that’s really disappointing for Costa. I won’t be coming back to this one I would rather walk longer for some respect.
Jessica L — Google review
Great Costa just always melting in there can you have your air con on more woulda got you 5 start but I literally sweat in there waiting to be served which puts you off going in Also close too early and especially market days shut by 4 on a sat Is a joke.

Love it here, best coffee ever, lovely toasties and cakes. Sometimes the staff let the chain down, but it's pretty good here. Before I moved here, my favourite was in Harrow Town centre staff were exceptionally helpful, never ever gave customers " The Look" even though some customers should be thrown out with the way they talk to the staff. Been to another site on a small retail Park in leighton buzzard twice and both times the service was awful and the staff lied about not serving hot food or giving customers their coffees in take away containers instead of cups.

During a delightful Sunday outing with my parents, we found ourselves at The Spire Coffee Shop nestled within the Anwick Garden Centre. After exploring the vibrant garden center and picking up a few treasures, we decided to indulge in lunch around 1:30 PM. I opted for their house Cheese Burger while my parents savored the Sunday Roast featuring tender beef. To quench our thirst, I enjoyed a refreshing can of Vimto, while they each sipped on steaming pots of tea.
Took the parents out on Sunday and visited Anwick Garden Centre. After having a wander around the Garden Centre and purchasing a few items, we went into the cafe to have a drink and chose to dine, as it was lunch time (13:30ish). I went with the house Cheese Burger and both parents went with the Sunday Roast (on this occasion Beef). I had a can of soda (Vimto) and the parents each had a pot of tea. Food wise, the burger was well cooked and chips and salad were also good and overall it was a great portion for the price. The parents both really enjoyed the beef and the roast potatoes, the only issue being the vegetables, both would have preferred it slightly more cooked, and father would have liked a slight larger vegetable portion. Overall though, we’ll be visiting again, and I would recommend a visit if you’re in the area…

Been here before and service has always been great from a couple of regular staff! Today came with some family members explaining how nice this place was to be greeted by an unknown female server that was anything but friendly! We had just sat down and she was calling us to pay! RUDE LADY with no customerservice skills!! Will not be returning due to this experience...unfortunately do not know her name but she is a much larger lady than the other two lovely ladies that were on duty today.

Popped in there last week just as they were opening up. Very hard work conversation wise with the woman i met at the door. Could have at least been a bit more friendlier and welcoming. I'll put it down to being early morning for her being miserable looking🙄. I dont expect a full on conversation but a bit of a warm welcome would have been nice. I'd been on the road since 4am so all i wanted before my 8am meeting in that area was a nice hot brew and a bacon butty while i rested up. Big sign on the road saying cafe but had to ask a chap in another unit where it was. Above the door was not a sign for a cafe🙄 so you cant tell where it is. 🤔

Many patrons have found their experiences at various Costa locations to be quite enjoyable, often highlighting the friendly staff who genuinely seem to love their work. The atmosphere is consistently cozy across all branches, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing coffee break or a quick snack.
Must say a far better experience against other Costa coffees. I usually make an effort to avoid them. But i thought to give another go in a local branch. Not a long wait which is always nice. Very helpful staff, that actually looked like they enjoyed the job. Food and drink selection is very good, espically as I need to avoid lactose. We all dined in and must say it is kept very clean and gave us a pleasant experience hence the 5 stars. Very well done!

This really was a disappointment and a half. Ordered a breakfast, took 40 minutes to arrive, the poached eggs were as dry as the Sahara (presumably they’d been poaching for most of the 40 minutes I had to wait), craggy beans and toast that was just sort of dehydrated bread. The cutlery was so cheap it bent when i tried to use the knife and fork to cut the bacon. Sticky tables, dirty plates left everywhere, the staff try hard and that’s commendable, but there aren’t enough of them. I know it’s a lower end place but really, have some standards. If a job is not worth doing properly then don’t bother doing it at all. In conclusion, if you want a breakfast, go to Wetherspoons instead (something I never ever thought I’d ever write about anywhere).

First visit for breakfast since the new menu, disappointing. Price has gone up and quality has gone down. Used to be fresh avocado on the veggie breakfast, now seems to be some sort of prepared mush. Staff still as lovely!

Just ridiculous. I’ve come here multiple times every month to try again and every time there’s always a supposed “technical” issue or just a random reason like “oh we can’t cook sausages today because there’s a plumbing issue in Mongolia” I’ve even tried different places it’s all the same they never have the basic items.

ShortPlay is a cafe that offers both play and salon services. It is a great place to bring your 4-year-old for some fun and a haircut every few months. Jodie, the hairstylist, is extremely patient with children. The café staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The play area may not be large, but I have never seen it overcrowded. Convenient parking is available at the back of the café.

It has car parking available, which is a good point. But I didn't like the playground area. There wasn't much to play with, and the thing that I really didn't like at all was the slide, it was made of wood without any soft protection and it had a step at the end, which made it kind of dangerous. I have an 18 months toddler and all the time I had to stop her from hurting her back at the end of the slide. It was too high also. The coffee was good and they have good cakes also. But really if you have a little toddler, you really can't relax a second. Another bad point is that there's no gate and the room has two steps, so the toddlers easily run away the playground area and can fall in the steps. So I thought I could leave her play freely and safety, but instead I was all the time watching her not to fall in the steps and not to hurt her back or head on the slide.

Constructively I like the cafe and the salon, food is good and the coffee is pretty good too. Also it always feels clean including the play equipment unlike some other places. My dauggter always likes to go there which makes the hair dressing experience easier to manage. However I have been a number of times now to use the salon and I don't think I have ever seen the cafe staff smile. A little smile makes you feel a bit more welcome when you come in.

The food was good and the children seemed to be enjoying themselves but my little one was a bit young for the cafe will try again when she is older, also the cafe is near a busy road so parents have to be extra vigilant.

Lovely fresh, great value food, decent coffee, lovely play area and beautifully clean. The staff are friendly and super efficient. It's the best play cafe I've been to by far!!

A small soft play area attached to a coffee shop & hair salon. The soft play area is only suitable for under 5's. Car parking us available behind the building which is opposite Tesco.

A great little Play Cafe in the centre of town, it's great to see all the kids playing together whilst we enjoy a coffee and cake. Just a shame that the TV is always on as I feel it distracts the kids from playing.
