Coffee shop
Monmouth Coffee Company, located in the heart of Seven Dials, is a renowned London coffee haven that has been serving artisanal coffee since 1978. Founded by Anita Leroy, this OG caffeine spot offers fair-trade coffee and gourmet treats for visitors to enjoy in the cafe or take home as whole or freshly ground beans. With multiple branches including its iconic location at Borough Market and a hidden gem in Bermondsey's railway arches, Monmouth Coffee has become a pilgrimage for coffee enthusiasts.
Very well made coffee but busy. The cafe itself should feel relaxed and laid back - the decor gives it that feeling. It doesn’t though due to how many people queue. It feels quite busy and not somewhere you can easily relax. If you can get over that though they do make an excellent coffee, worth the hype!
A F — Google review
Loved the coffee. I tried it iced and hot and loved it in both ways. It wouldn’t be my go to place though as they don’t offer disposable cups. Also make sure to go in a good weather as most of their seats are outdoor.
Arwa A — Google review
I’m a big fan of Monmouth Coffee ☕️ coz they are really good That said , for the shop in Monmouth Street , I have a few observations below :- The coffee machines are located in an elevated position / floor and customer has to line up at a lower point to pick up their coffee. The area for the line up is relatively narrow so in the event of peak hours , coffee maybe overflown/ dropped accidentally. This is a potential risk I can see for a sensible improvement. Just a thought 💭
Kevin S — Google review
The Monmouth coffee serves best coffee and friendly service is here. But the a cup of coffee charged almost $6. And the seat area is small unless you’re taking to go. But it’s tasted good.
G — Google review
Disappointing flat white. It’s another victim of social media overhype. The positive points are: the cafe storefront looks nice, there’s an outdoor seating and friendly staff. For the mean part, that flat white that I had was not delicious. The bitterness is ok but stronger on the sourness side. So it’s more acidic tasting. I couldn’t taste a hint of sweetness in it either, so it’s not a well-balanced flat white. The aroma is there but you drink the coffee and not inhale it! That’s why I see a lot of people adding sugar to their coffee - yet they’ll say it’s a delicious coffee. You don’t need to add sugar if the flat white is really good. The outdoor seating is also useless when it’s raining and the seating inside looks compact and uninviting. They charge £5 for the reusable cup and no takeaway cups are available.
Raymund L — Google review
Their flat white looks good and smooth, coffee aroma isn't strong enough for me. The pain au chocolat looks tasty but not crispy enough.
R A — Google review
Exceptional coffee served with real passion. Even at peak hours, the staff are calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Had a flat white, it was great. Lovely and friendly staff, they even knew names of some customers. A warm environment among the busy streets in London.

Coffee shop
Prufrock Coffee is a bustling café with a modern, minimalist design and skilled baristas. It's the first permanent location of Gwilym Davies, the 2009 World Barista Champion, who previously operated street carts and an espresso trolley. At Prufrock, patrons can watch the meticulous coffee-making process at the brew bar or relax at tables while savoring bespoke brews made with featured and seasonal beans from Square Mile.
Have been here before and this place never disappoints! I vividly remember how good it was the first time we were here. And being back here is such pleasure. My partner is very particular with coffee, he follows James Hoffman and probably the reason why we went here before in the first place. He definitely knows this is a great place to get that good coffee especially if you are meticulous about the pouring technique and the coffee beans. Plus I love the simple but elevated dishes they serve! The staff are nice too. I think this place is really popular, so it can get quite busy…

I recently visited this coffee shop and sat in for brunch. I had a great cup of coffee and tried the vegetarian eggs with hollandaise sauce. The menu said it came with greens, which turned out to be green and yellow courgettes, not quite what I expected, but still nice. The hollandaise sauce had a good espresso flavour, which worked well with the dish. The café itself is nicely designed, with an industrial feel mixed with some midcentury modern furniture. There are a few seats outside too, which is great on a sunny day. The only downside was that the person serving me was a bit unfriendly and cold. Overall, it’s a stylish spot for brunch or coffee, but the service could be warmer.
Tanya L — Google review
Excellent flat white; large variety of beans and brews, delicious eggs benedict. Was seated immediately and impressed by how quickly the food came (<10 mins). Very kind and courteous staff. High recommend for quick bite and delicious coffee. Bought some beans and excited to try them at home. They were organized according to taste profile. Dog-friendly. Vibe: elevated hipster meets coffee connoisseur with a streak of farm-to-table.
Mercedes C — Google review
This coffee shop is located in nice area where you can buy good coffee alongside excellent street food. They use Red Brick Coffee Roasters beans and flat white is served in 6oz cup. The taste is full of flavour and well balanced. Barrista has done great work as you can see on picture. I’ll no doubt keep coming back as there is something unique about this place, On a scale 1 to 10 I would give it 7.5 points.

Had a lovely brunch on a weekday. Eggs were delicious, as well as bacon. Also tried a lovely almond gluten free pastry that was very nice! Service is friendly. Coffee was good. I would visit again.

I was glad to find Prufrock Coffee was just a five minute walk from the flat we were staying at in Farringdon. I was there almost every morning of my trip ordering a flat white (and sometimes a pastry). The staff are knowledgeable and very pleasant. I enjoyed the different option of a guest espresso offered alongside the house espresso. Highly recommend Prufrock as your go to coffee spot if you’re close to Leather Lane.

Stopped by here on my visit to London, due to the James Hoffman endorsement. Lived up to the hype. Really awesome people work here and also know a fair bit about coffee. The food is surprisingly good too. Heads-up : No free wi-fi if that’s important to you

The guest roast Lumen coffee from Colombia was AMAZING. Great coffee shop with super friendly staff. The seats outside can be amazing in good weather too. Massively recommend for their coffee beans.

Grind is a trendy industrial-style venue with exposed brick walls that offers a variety of house-blend coffees, brunch options, and sharing plates. The London coffee chain is known for its excellent coffee, including the popular flat white. The menu features meat-free options like wild mushroom hash and sweet potato harissa cakes, as well as carnivorous offerings such as cheeseburgers and breakfast burritos. The interiors are Instagram-worthy with neon lights and millennial pink accents.
I recently visited The Grind Cocktail Bar with a group of friends, and we were all thoroughly impressed with the experience from start to finish. Although known for its cocktails, we stopped by for breakfast — and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The ambiance is warm and stylish, with a relaxed vibe that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. We were greeted by friendly staff who seated us promptly and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The service was attentive but never intrusive — just right. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Each plate was beautifully presented and clearly prepared with care. From classic options like eggs and toast to more inventive dishes, everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The attention to detail in the presentation really elevated the meal, and it’s clear they take pride in what they serve. We also had a selection of coffees, and they were spot on — rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. It’s clear that they take their coffee seriously, and it shows. Even though we didn’t try the cocktails this time, the bar setup and menu looked fantastic, and we’ll definitely be returning in the evening to sample those soon. Overall, The Grind is a real gem — a perfect spot to catch up with friends over breakfast or coffee. Everything was top-notch, from the food and drinks to the service and atmosphere. Highly recommended and well worth a visit!

Came here during a Sunday Brunch! Would high recommend booking as it was busy. The food was lovely! Staff were lovely! Definitely would come back here again and they were great with my peanut allergy. Lots of great coffee selections and cocktails that I need to go back and try
Jonathan H — Google review
We had an amazing brunch at Grind! A big thank you to the wonderful team who took such great care of us and a special shout-out to Chef Antonakis Spiros and the bartender Stefano. We tried the Buttermilk Burger, Courgette & Sweet Corn Fritters, and for dessert, the marvelous pancakes , everything was spot on and delicious! The buttermilk chicken burger, pancakes, and cappuccino were definitely the highlights. We also saw Stefano crafting some incredible cocktails , they all looked amazing, and next time we’re 100% coming back for them!
Aline Z — Google review
Really varied menu and delish food. Coffee drinks v pricey compared to the food which is pretty reasonable for London. Wouldn’t really recommend the breakkie burrito, meat was a bit lacking, weirdly chopped up?! Also charged extra for mayo without warning. But my friends mushroom hash and ham crumpets were 10/10 so go for those!
Libby W — Google review
There are moments that stick with you, not because of the setting or the price tag, but because of the way they feel. Meeting up with a girl I barely knew in London turned into one of those moments. We quickly discovered we had more in common than expected, one being our shared love for espresso martinis. So, when we sat down at Grind and spotted it on the menu, there was no hesitation. We looked at each other, laughed, and said, there’s no turning back. Now, coming from South Africa, the price tag did make me blink once or twice, but then I thought, do it for the plot. Because how often do you get to be 21, in London, at Grind, with a stranger who’s about to become a friend? Exactly. You don’t. The drink arrived, and it was everything an espresso martini should be. Perfection in a glass. Smooth, velvety, balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter, just right. Topped with those iconic three little beans, it felt less like a garnish and more like a seal of approval. Each sip carried us deeper into conversation, gossip, and laughter, the kind that makes you feel like you’ve known someone for years, even though you’ve only just met. The espresso martini was the perfect accompaniment, bold, slightly indulgent, and endlessly sophisticated, much like the night itself.
Chloë A — Google review
Outstanding Experience at Grind London Bridge 🤩😍🌉👌💯 I stopped by Grind London Bridge for a cappuccino, and it was absolutely perfect — smooth, rich, and at the ideal temperature. I usually find that many places serve coffee too hot, but Grind clearly knows how to make a perfect cup. The pastry I had was equally delicious and complemented the coffee beautifully. The atmosphere was fantastic — relaxed yet professional — and the whole team was friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Stefano, who provided excellent service and made me feel genuinely valued as a customer. You can tell the staff here enjoy what they do, which is quite rare in the hospitality industry these days. I’ll definitely be coming back soon, this time for a meal with friends. It’s a popular spot, so booking a table is a good idea. Highly recommended!

Such delicious food. Prices were fairly decent and the staff were super lovely. One of the workers even took time to have a lovely conversation with us (she was an Italian woman) 😊

Kaffeine is an independent coffee shop with two locations in Fitzrovia, offering deli-style breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, and delicious baked goods. Inspired by Australian and New Zealand cafe culture, it prides itself on excellent coffee, great food, and hospitable service. The menu changes daily but features items like bircher muesli and artisan pastries for breakfast, hearty sandwiches and salads for lunch, and a variety of baked goods for afternoon tea.
Kaffeine, Great Titchfield Street, London W1 Kaffeine had been on my Fitzrovia hit list for ages, and I finally made it there one morning—and loved it so much I returned within days. This much-loved Aussie-style café is known for top-tier coffee (from Square Mile) and a refined brunch menu. Think espresso-drizzled pancakes, wild mushrooms on sourdough, and one of the best breakfast baps in London. Cosy interiors, great people-watching benches outside, and friendly vibes make it a standout for coffee lovers and brunch seekers alike in London W1. #kaffeine #kaffeinefitzrovia #greattitchfieldstreet #londoncoffee #fitzroviacafe #w1coffee #brunchlondon #londonbrunchspots #squaremilecoffee #coffeelovers #coffeetime #brunchmenu #pancakeslondon #breakfastbap #fitzrovialondon #independentcoffee #flatwhitefix #londoncafes #brunchclub #coffeelife

Lovely small cafe tucked away a few minutes behind the busy Oxford circus. Coffee was ok very small cup, personally wished it was served warmer . They offer a limited selection of baked sweet treats, and they do serve a few breakfast dishes.
J F — Google review
Cosy little coffee shop. Amazing staff! It can get a bit crowded in the morning, but the atmosphere is relaxed. Good quality coffee. The pancake is on point and looks cute! Just maybe maple would be a better syrup for it (instead of chocolate).
Mich E — Google review
Great find in the famous Great Titchfield street of London , a stone’s throw from Oxford Circus. The food was excellent, ditto for the coffees. This café/ restaurant is really small and seems to be over staffed. There are two wooden benches outside that can probably take no more than four people. There is not ample seating inside either. My biggest disappointment was brunch not being served after 12 noon from Mon- Fri, why? The atmosphere is somewhat non existent and their clientele consists of people from the neighbourhood, BBC employees having their coffee or the passing tourists that somehow feel unwelcome. Payment is made upon ordering at the till but how cheeky of them to display on the till screen prior to making payment if one would like to add 10%/15% or 20% gratuity or nothing ? Are we now in U.S mode in the UK? And what service are we talking about ? Serving you what you ordered at the till? Perhaps if this restaurant was bigger and offered table service than we could possibly talk about service charges? I would highly recommend going there and I hope that management is thinking of having more spacious premises with perhaps more kitchen staff.

Nice location. This area is like coffee shops mining. Nearly every step you can see and buy coffee. In Kaffeine they sell Square Mile beans but after ask them you will be awarded to taste single origin Skylark Coffee Roastery product. Good taste and aftertaste. Thumbs up for barista. On a scale 1 to 10 I'd give it 8 points.

lovely oat milk latte and useful conflab with a companion this morning at Kaffeine. Following some early laps around regents park my riding partner and I sauntered our way across to this delightful spot for a 30 min break and to set the world to rights over some good coffee. And good it was! I was served promptly with a smile and a happy outlook for a monday morning. The toilets, although tucked away and down some stairs, were clean, well ordered and flushed well when prompted (example video attached below). There was also female sanitary products available for free. Although I did not need to partake in these I was grateful they were there and enjoyed that I was supporting a business which provided such things. Decent cafe, would go back and buy coffee/use the conveniences here again anytime but most lilely when I am riding my bike nearby as this is when it is most convenient to me. They had some prince lyrics (raspberry beret) on a sign outside and I felt princely sipping my concoction outside this cafe on an overcast monday morning!
Robert G — Google review
I have a bit of high expectation about this cafe. First thing, I’m glad they’re doing the banana bread toasted with butter. I thought this would satisfy my cravings for all the amazing toasted banana bread I had in Sydney. It was close enough though and probably a bit more butter needed. Are we on butter strike here? Maybe? As for their flat white….. I thought this would be on my top list but no. My flat white was more on the milky side and the coffee kick was a little weak for me. So far only one cafe was able to deliver that right balance and this wasn’t that cafe. I would still give this cafe another go :)

Ozone Coffee in Shoreditch is a popular spot known for its artisan roastery and coffee shop. The place offers a variety of breakfast options, cakes, eggs, and lunchtime snacks from its onsite bakery. The industrial walls adorned with Kiwiana create a unique atmosphere that keeps drawing people back. Ozone stands out in London's coffee scene as it houses an on-site roastery and supplies quality beans to other top-notch coffee shops in the city.
I’ve been to Ozone Café in Shoreditch a few times now, and it always hits the mark. The coffee is reliably good, but the hot chocolate is easily the best I’ve had — rich, smooth, and comforting. I’ve tried a few dishes here; the minced lamb with mint yogurt was a favourite, though it’s not on the menu anymore. That said, I don’t mind the seasonal changes — keeps things fresh. I had the burger this time and it was really tasty and satisfying. The atmosphere is relaxed and not too busy, making it a great spot for a proper catch-up with a friend. It’s also perfect for an early morning pick-me-up. Whether you’re after a hearty breakfast or a filling lunch, Ozone has you covered. Definitely one of my go-to cafés in the area.
Jeevan S — Google review
For US travelers: This place is probably one of the best brunch cafes that I have been to in England. It's a chain so there are a few others in various parts of London, but by this one in Shoreditch knocks the others out of the park. It was so good that I went there twice on back to back days that I stayed in Shoreditch area. The food was great! I got the brunch menu that they have on weekends and the lunch menu that they have on weekdays (went on both Sunday and Monday). Portions are a bit small compared to America, but for London standards, it was very good. I don't remember exactly the food we got but the scrambled eggs and sausage was on point. The lamb meat thing on the bread was on point. The mushroom thing was also on point. The kombucha and the latte was also on point. So good so good. Just letting you know that there are only two restaurants I went twice in London. Dishoom and this place. If you somehow come by this place, its a good place to go. It's not like a must go place necessarily, but still very very good.

my go-to place for breakfast when in london. the scrambled eggs are so good that i specifically chose my hotel for this trip by the walking distance to ozone. could (and honestly did) eat here every day. the whole place looks really cool, the staff are lovely and the teas and coffees are always great too. totally recommend!

One of the best breakfasts/ brunch you can get in London. Proper chefs executing everything to perfection and great coffee. Staff like to run away from you halfway through your order, always busy but also not that attentive. But worth the visit and potential queue for the food.
Gareth H — Google review
Poached eggs were lovely. I ordered spicy mushroom as a side dish which it was nice. Anyway, lovely staff and atmosphere…good coffee. Just a little bit pricey but they are still the good place for breakfast.
May S — Google review
When they brought my plate I literally said WOW, first what a presentation and the taste matched! I ordered mushrooms on toast but this was the best I’ve ever had. Very filling. I’m not vegan but I try my best to always order vegan when I’m out and this hit all the levels needed. Full of flavour with a bit of spice, if you don’t want the spice just move some of the sauce away but it’s really good. I also got a Aperol Spritz & a juice, I always have to order two drinks. Complimentary water. I was able to bring my chihuahua and he just sat on he’s coat beside me, got some work done on my laptop. There is certain times that you can sit and eat so make sure to check out the timings. But other times you can still get hot or cold drinks. Definitely will be back, cosy warm and comfortable.

We had a terrible experience. We ordered three coffees and some food. After the food arrived, they let us know that the coffee is delayed (mind you, this is Monday before noon and the place isn’t packed). Two minutes later we were notified that the cold drip actually ran out. We asked for a substitute of cold coffee, it came out a minute later, the other coffees were not in sight. Then the second coffee arrived. We already finished eating. We asked to cancel the third coffee since it was just not there. The response we got was “oh, ok”. Finally we just wanted to get out of there, so we asked for the bill. The waiter came ready with the machine, no actual bill in sight. We had to back to back and forth with him to make sure that the third coffee was not there, and ask again for the bill to make sure for ourselves. For this lovely experience we were charged 15% service by default. In regard to the food. We had an eggs Benedict with bacon on bubbles (potato croquets) and the smashburger. The smash was good, the eggs Benedict were mediocre at best. The croquets were bland, the bacon wasn’t crispy enough and the whole thing couldn’t be eaten as a single dish. Feels like they care more about how it looks than how it tastes. 90 pounds for this meal. What a ripoff. Disappointing is not a word.

Had a soy matcha latte and it was alright for £5. It was one size only but kind of small. The atmostphere is a bit too loud as well but has a nice industrial touch. Instagram worthy if you can get a seat.

Cafe
Flat White is an independent cafe located in the trendy Berwick Street Market, offering artisan coffee and snacks. Since its establishment in 2005, it has been a trailblazer in London's specialty coffee scene, embodying Antipodean caffeine culture with a focus on quality and a laid-back atmosphere. The cafe sources single-origin beans from Dark Arts roastery and milk from Rye's Northiam Dairy.
As coffee shop owners from middle England, we actively sought out a business that is similar to ours. The most amazing thing is MY LATTE WAS DRINKING TEMPERATURE! You have no idea how much that means to me, and it significantly contributed to our experience. The iced coffee was also drinking temperature 😉 even though we asked for it EXTRA HOT. (Jokes) Nice place to come, appreciate your approach to coffee. 🐾

Coffee is nice, this coffee was nice. Was pleasantly surprised by the option of almond milk as well as oat you don’t always get that. Quick with their service perfectly nice to sit in and sip. Cakes and bites looked quite nice even through I didn’t try.

When I learned that there was a coffee shop just off the beaten path in Soho that just so happens to share the name with my absolute favorite coffee drink I had to check it out. I arrived 10min before close, so, I wasn't able to really sit in the ambiance that is Flat White. That being said, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Before I talk about the drink experience, some additional details... I fell in love with flat whites when I visited Australia several years ago and I've been ordering and making them at home ever since. One thing worth noting is that a UK (and much of Europe) flat white is not quite the same as an Aussie or American flat white. It's still the same components; rich and bold espresso shot(s) accompanied by textured milk (steam milk infused with air to create a velvety texture), but in the UK they are restricted to cup sizes for some reason (mostly to do with the ratio of espresso to cup size). I was presented with a 4oz to-go coffee cup. The flavor was great, and with execution solid. While this particular drink was delicious, I think I still prefer an Aussie flat white (or American). Having the barely bigger than espresso size feels like the drink is condensed while I want to enjoy the drink and flavor for longer.

It took me a while to get here because always was something closer but eventually I am here. We always strive for perfection and this coffee tastes better than it looks on picture. Flat white is good and smell is nice but short aftertaste. Price £4.30 per 8oz. is above average.

I had a great experience at Flat White in Soho. The coffee here is fantastic—smooth, strong, and perfectly balanced. The café has a relaxed, cozy vibe, which makes it a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a cup while people-watching. I also tried one of their pastries, which was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole visit very pleasant. It’s not a huge place, so it can get busy, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere. Overall, it’s a must-visit for anyone who loves high-quality coffee in the heart of Soho.

A really cool coffee shop in Soho with a vibrant, energetic vibe. They play great music, and I enjoyed a creamy flat white along with a perfectly flaky and buttery croissant. The staff was very friendly, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. This spot isn’t quiet—the music is loud, making it ideal if you’re looking for a place with energy and good tunes while enjoying your coffee. Perfect for a lively break!

I am would like to share my experience of having afternoon tea at 'Ozone' Ludgate Hill. The ambiance was casual and perfect for our needs, as we were hosting a mini baby-shower for a colleague. We were seated at a table right in the middle of the venue, which turned out to be an ideal spot for our gathering. Hamish, the site supervisor, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire visit, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. His warm and attentive service truly added to the charm of the afternoon. There was a large selection of both hot and cold drinks, and the cakes (particularly the banana bread) were scrumptious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend 'Ozone' Ludgate Hill.

Very nice coffee shop near Thames City Link station and close to St. Paul's cathedral. Modern with lots of seating. Loose leaf tea with soya milk - great.

I visited Ozone coffee on a Friday morning, most people were getting takeout, and it was quite busy. I sat down for a bit, there is tons of seating inside and two tables outside. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere inside. It feels private enough to sit with a laptop but still enjoy the buzziness of a coffee shop. The filer coffee of the day was flavorful and recommended by the barista. It was a good balance between sweet and zingy. I also got a croissant with the coffee, the size of it was impressive but it lacked a bit of butter, it was fresh however (total: £7)

Really superb coffee, perhaps a bit of an over hyped venue. Acoustics inside are very loud, you can hear other groups very clearly. Music quite quiet. Wouldn't recommend as a place to work or read but nice spot to catch up with a friend. Service was fine, nothing stand out. I had a mocha which was made with lovely bitter chocolate. Coffee all served in ACME brand cuos which are a delight. Not many food options, and very little for vegetarians. J came at noon on a Tuesday and they didn't have very much left.

Best espresso in the neighborhood! Quality space with a great service staff. The staff know their coffee and are passionate and extremely knowledgeable! Attendant Coffee Roasters in Fitzrovia is a unique and highly Instagrammable coffee shop located in a restored Victorian public convenience. The underground space features exposed light bulbs, green and white tiled walls, and seating reminiscent of a Victorian toilet bowl. Despite its quirky decor, the quality of the coffee and breakfast offerings is not compromised.
I highly recommend the avocado toast with a sunny-side-up egg — it’s honestly one of the best and most worth-it dishes I’ve had in London! They were super generous with the avocado, which made it even better. The iced oat milk latte was also excellent, with a perfectly balanced coffee flavor. The service was outstanding, and it was such a great way to start my morning as a tourist. A truly satisfying breakfast experience!

Very unique dining environment. The entrance like the train station, the interior design like a man washroom BUT very clean of course. The food is amazing. I love their sauces, all ingredients are well matched. The bread is soft and in good texture. The coffee is great as well. I would said the best I had tried in London, even not many I had tried.

Quite possibly the best latte I’ve ever had—smooth, rich, and expertly crafted. If you’re a true coffee lover, this place is a must. The experience is made even more special by the café’s unique history, and the food holds its own with thoughtful, well-executed dishes. A memorable stop for both caffeine and culture.

Very cute! We arrived 10 minutes after they stopped serving food which was a bummer as we were hoping to try the avocado toast. I got a cold brew and some carrot cake. Both were great and I’ve struggled to find good cold brew in this city. It’s centrally located and around a lot of other things. It also wasn’t really busy so would recommend going during the week and in the afternoon to avoid crowds.

Incredible place, small but full of charm. The coffee is the best I’ve had since I’ve been here, and as for the breakfast, I don’t even know what to say — it was delicious. The service, without a doubt, is also on par with their products, as it was absolutely top-notch.

Such a great find! It was small yet cozy and cute. The “train toilet” theme was executed perfectly and i found it quirky than weird. The match was so delicious and amazing priced considering its in central london

Attendant Coffee Roasters – Fitzrovia is such a unique and unforgettable coffee experience! The café is built inside a restored Victorian toilet — yes, you read that right — but it’s been transformed beautifully into a cozy, stylish, and surprisingly charming space. The attention to detail in the design is impressive, mixing vintage character with a modern touch. The coffee is top-notch, roasted to perfection with rich, balanced flavors. I tried the latte, and it was smooth, creamy, and perfectly brewed. Their pastries, especially the croissants, are fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet full of character. Definitely one of London’s most interesting coffee spots — a must-visit for any coffee lover! ☕💫

Really good coffee. Their specials menu was great too. For £14, a very filling and complete meal. They were very hospitable and friendly and checked in with me multiple times as I was there for a while. Very communal feeling and not pretentious at all. Highly recommend!

Service friendly but not very focused, a bit distracted.. However what I don't understand are the recent comments about the coffee... The coffee itself is of outstanding quality with very rich aromatic notes. You can taste them even through milk! Incidentally the cappuccino has milk textured to perfection. The coffee has also some chocolatey notes that are the signature of high quality. I fear that some reviewers don't know much about coffee and possibly benchmark against coffees that are just less intense and complex.

Lovely little find, I decided to pop in just before a meeting for late breakfast. The service was fast and friendly customer service. I liked the atmosphere aswell. I ordered the aubergine vg breakfast, i would say the flavours were quite strong for the morning and there was a little too much sauce. The presentation was nice and the food still tasted fine. I just wouldn’t order this again as a breakfast meal. Will try other meals next time round.
Rifat — Google review
It doesn't look perfect but tastes good. Blend Brazil and Colombia beans chocolate, nutty, nougat flavour. Nice, minimalist yet cosy little premises with cool art on the wall and nice staff. They say they believe great coffee should not only hit the spot but also leave a lasting mark. With their fresh approach, they're sure you'll feel the difference from the very first sip. A flat white for £3.70 for 6oz cup seems okay. They have a coffee roastery to promote their brand, the cups feature the company logo, and they use top rated espresso machine. Everything what is necessary to succeed in the coffee market. On a scale 1 to 10 I'd give it 8.5 points.

Found this place by recommendation from a TV programme and I was impressed! It’s a really nice cafe! Cosy vibes, trendy and felt really comfortable when I was there. I heard that they serve a good lunch menu though the purpose of my visit was to try out the bacon sandwich on their breakfast menu! They did not disappoint. Really great sandwich, delicious and nicely put together. Thickness of the bread and good amount of bacon and egg was nicely done. Loved how they also presented their tea, really nice and funky. Staff are professional and friendly. If I have time off during the week I will visit again as it only opens on week days.

Starting with the positives - the coffee here is really good. The prices here are on the high side £4.20 for a flat white, latte or cappuccino. The pastries are not cheap at £4.30 for a croissant. The staff did explain the pricing and justification and actually that was helpful. Wholesale coffee prices have been rising The service is fine but watch out for the attempt to try to charge you a service charge/tip on top of the drinks prices!! Never in London have I seen a coffee shop that has requested to add a tip onto a coffee. There is a small number of companies in London that seem to do this to try and rinse as much money from tourists who come to London as possible. Only a tourist would consider paying a tip for ordering a coffee in coffee shop where there is actually no service element involved apart from taking your order from a counter, and you have to pick up the coffee yourself. It feels cheeky. Having said that, if you are wanting a good coffee, then their coffee is really good.

I think I have found my new favourite coffee spot. The iced mocha was okay, not the worst drink I’ve ever had but I definitely won’t be getting it again. Their iced latte with oat milk and brown sugar syrup is delicious! The servers are really nice and welcoming and I definitely need to try their almond croissant. Edit: I finally tried their almond croissant, it was superb! However, I felt like it had too much filling.

My sister and I have enjoyed many afternoon teas over the years, and had them on the orient express, the Ritz and The Savoy to name but a few. however today we experienced THE BEST afternoon tea we have EVER had. We went for my birthday while visiting London. It was some of the best tea I have had. We loved the decorations in there and how cute it was. Every detail was thought out. They were allergy friendly and had a variety to chose form. The tea was bottomless and it was so delicious. It was so nice to be able to try different teas. The only downside is that it is very small in here so you felt like you were right on top of the people next to you. I’m coming this place because is really pretty! I’m from Miami and I love the pink place! Coming this morning, Friday 10 am the place have people but no to much… We take the table outside the lady tell m I can go any table available. She comes for the drinks and take some time to come again for the food, also I need to ask somebody to take my order for the food… because she never come back again, is not to much friendly. For the food We ask for 2 lates to much stronger I ask for more milk and still was impossible, I left all 2 coffee and nobody ask me for the drinks or the coffee are ok… The food the avocado toast was a lot of avocado but didn’t taste to anything. I ask for the egg on the side and scramble… but then give me a poche scramble discussing. The rest was ok but nothing special. I try to go inside to take a look for the place but the same lady to take the order said I need to wait outside I can’t go inside 🥴 Really he didn’t like to have a customer service! But then they charge you 12% for service charge and didn’t go to the server You have a lot of place with better food price and customer service! The best you can do! Take a picture in the door and go to take a breakfast in the other corner!

The atmosphere is lovely and the place looks super Instagrammable, really pretty inside. We managed to get a table as walk-ins on a Saturday which was great. But WARNING: unfortunately the food was terrible. The avocado salmon sandwich had avocado that was clearly off, the eggs Benedict were extremely salty, and the lavender and rose lattes were sickeningly sweet. The cupcakes tasted really artificial too. Honestly, it feels like you only pay for the photos and nothing else. We’ve never eaten anywhere where both food and drinks were this bad. Paid £70 for two “mains”, coffees and two cupcakes. The staff didn’t even ask if the food was tasty or if everything was ok – probably because they already knew.

This is how shops should be. Customers only want 3 things - service, availability and value. The service in this shop is incredible, the staff knowledge of their products is very impressive. There is such a wide choice of coffee available - beans, ground whatever you need. The value is incredible - £1.50 for the best double espresso I can recall tasting ever. They also have unique gifts - chocolate, teas, coffee machines etc. This is a unique independent family store which is worth a visit for that alone. There are generations who have never experienced this level of excellence. Give the coffee chain a miss tomorrow - the Algerian Coffee Store will open your eyes to a unique coffee experience at an unbeleivable price. I cant recommend this more highly.

As an American I love cold brew and am constantly disappointed by its frequent absence on this side of the Atlantic. This cafe has a great brew (pictured). They served it to me quickly and for a reasonable price. My only complaint is that the largest size still isn’t very large (12 oz), but maybe that’s just the American in me complaining.

Small cup with heaven inside. The best coffee I have had in a long time. If you are a coffee lover this is a must go place to visit. I had flat white. It was incredibly smooth and balanced with long lasting aftertaste. Interior is basic and you can't feel luxury and prices are going up soon but who cares if you want to taste excellent coffee. On a scale 1 to 10 points I would give it big 9. Well done.

Lovely place, great spot for people watching and amazing coffee. The filter was especially delicious and I’m normally an espresso person. The customer service was perfect too - would come back for the expertise alone.

A nice café near Oxford Circus but not as busy as expected - so it’s a good choice if you want to work remotely for a bit! There are some savoury options, if you’d like a bite but you’re not in the mood for cake!

It was a great pleasure to find this little cafe by an accident, absolutely no regrets, amazing coffee, great atmosphere and really helpful barista :)) thanks for helping us find the perfect coffee for that moment! This meeting made our day:)

I came for a coffee and a pastry with my dad. The coffee was the best we've had so far in London, and the pastry was lovely too. The staff were very kind, happy and helpful. Would recommend 😊

Situated in a quiet alley, it’s a really great place to come. The atmosphere is very unassuming and pleasant. Coffee - 8.2: perfectly sized cup of flavoursome coffee. The East End Blend they use is slightly dark but the fruity notes are pleasant enough to take the edge off. It’s described as a day drinking coffee but I also think it is strong enough to be your first of the day if you pick a flat white.
Lift_Run_Eat_ — Google review
Have had a quick coffee break with friends here, ordering a flat white.I am sorry but I have to say I am a bit disappointed with the coffee quality, which I thought this is a specialty coffee shop with high coffee bean quality. If you like very strong dark roasted coffee, perhaps it’s still a good option for you.

Farm Girl is a bright and casual cafe with tiled walls, offering health-conscious brunches, smoothies, and sandwiches. With four locations in Fitzrovia, Knightsbridge, Soho, and Notting Hill, the Portobello spot is perfect for a pre-market brunch. The menu features trendy acai bowls topped with banana slices, chia seeds, and goji berries as well as hearty options like cherry ripe pancakes and huevos rancheros.
Loved our brunch experience here! The atmosphere was super cute and cozy, we loved the tucked away garden feel. They had a pretty good variety of drinks and brunch options that were really yummy.

The restaurant offers delicious food and a lovely atmosphere, making it a nice spot for branch . However, the prices are a bit on the higher side, and the portion sizes could be more generous for the cost. Overall, it’s a pleasant experience but slightly expensive for what you get.
Giorgos B — Google review
Had a lovely brunch with my friends here for my birthday, however: - prepare to queue (we queued 1 hour) - service is waaaaaaay below average: for the amount of time you wait in the line, you wouldn’t expect to wait 20min for each coffee ordered, because let’s be honest: it doesn’t take 20min to make a cappuccino! I ordered 2 and waited 20-30min each time! - food was good - prices are London prices, nothing shocking! To be honest I didn’t get the whole farm/healthy vibe..I think it’s a regular brunch place, but the food was good, so if you are not bothered by the above points, I would recommend a visit. Dog friendly!

£16 for some scrambled egg and little bit of toppings and £13 for 2 small pancakes with barely any sirup and 2 sad looking pieces of bacon presented with barely any effort!! Sorry, but for the food offered AND the presentation the price needs to be much much lower!! Drinks were fine, matcha was very milky and not enough matcha and the cappuccino cup was quite small for the price as well. Ambience is nice and service was fine. But definitely not visiting again if I am hungry and want to feel satisfied after eating.

Definitely pass !!! Not worth the hype or price ! Honestly food was overpriced, not good and dry and pancakes were burnt and dry with no syrup. Drinks were mediocre. Wait was long. Restaurant was drafty. Staff was also not attentive and weren't very polite. Overall do not go here, so many other options

Wonderful, fantastic brunch!! Uau! Delicious, well prepared, good ingredients, the portobello mushroom was incredible good. The vibe and ambience is super cool. I loved!

We love it here! By far the best location of farm girl in london! Tipp: Arrive early and not that hungry - especially on the weekends it’s quite crowded and waiting in line may be part of the experience. :) (It’s worth it tho)
Tamina V — Google review
Honestly was really disappointed. I have eaten at their South Kensington branch and loved the coffee and food there as it is easy to see their allergens. The line to get in at Notting Hill was about half an hour at 9:15am on a Saturday which isn’t their fault. However once I got in the service was truly terrible and not just because they were busy. They didn’t realise I hadn’t ordered and wouldn’t make eye contact for another 20 mins. I ended up having to wave across the restaurant to get their attention to order and had to get up and stand next to their register to pay. The food is decent but in the pricier side.

The Monocle Café is a trendy, compact spot in London that has become a favorite for many. It offers an extensive coffee menu with specialty options like matcha and mint teas. The café serves Japanese breakfasts, Scandinavian lunches, whisky highballs, and unique drinks such as banana juice. The staff is polite and attentive, providing good service even when the café gets busy. The pastries are highly recommended, especially the cinnamon buns that remind some of Swedish fika days.
Walked by 4 coffee shops to come to this one. It’s nice to check it off the list when traveling. The pastries were good. The shop in the back is well designed. The staff were nice. The atmosphere downstairs felt like a restaurant and not coffee shop which I enjoyed. I love the personal touch of no computer screens while you are there.

I was very eager to try this café as I read all the great reviews but unfortunately the egg sando was very dry and bland which was so disappointing since this is one of their "known" menu items. I also ordered the matcha which was extremely watery and didn't taste much of matcha which was a shame too so I couldn't really say I had a pleasant experience but the location is very nice and the café has a pleasant and comfy vibe to relax and chat/work.
Maé — Google review
A very popular café every time I walked by it was crowded, so I never stopped in😅 but they actually have seating in the basement. The matcha coconut cake was amazing! (I cant remember the exact name😅😂) Coffee was okay, and the staff were lovely

Lovely café with a beautiful aesthetic. The Americano is EXCELLENT , one of the best I had in London. The staff are always so friendly. It does get crowded and seats fill up fast, but definitely worth a visit!

1. Seats: On ground floor, 1 table with 2 seats inside and 2 table with 4 seats outside. On B1 floor there are 6 tables with 12+ seats. 2. No laptop. I've read many posts which were written by foreign students who were doing their dues here, please respect the requirement of the cafe and stop the wrong information. Even today I still saw a student using her laptop… 🤷🏻‍♀️. 3. Light on B1 floor is relatively dark, but it's good for relaxing or chatting with friends (low voice volume please). 4. The matcha tart with white chocolate is super delicious and long black is also very good! Definitely a comfortable place for recharging or relaxing.
Rag D — Google review
My experience at this café was truly wonderful. The ambience is cozy and comfortable — a perfect spot to relax, read, or get some work done. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming, which made the visit even better. The coffee was fresh, rich in flavor, and perfectly balanced. The snacks were delicious as well. Overall, this café delivers great quality, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!”

I arrived today at around 09:30 AM and all the sandwiches including the egg sando and the salmon & cream cheese — were already gone. Only buns, croissants and the matcha curd were left. I also tried the matcha curd with white chocolate, and unfortunately it is not worth ordering. Service is average as well, not welcoming.
Dilnoza I — Google review
A stylish and minimalist café. The coffee is okay, the vibe is unmistakably Monocle—clean lines, curated playlists, and international charm. However, the space is tiny, with very limited seating, which makes it less than ideal for lingering or having a long chat over drinks. Expect to queue, especially on weekends or during peak hours. It’s more suited for a quick caffeine fix or takeaway than a relaxing café session. If you’re in the area and appreciate a sharp cup of coffee in a magazine-worthy setting, it’s worth a visit—but don’t plan to stay too long.

Omotesando Koffee is a boutique coffee chain with locations across Southeast Asia, known for its light wood interior and Japanese-style design. Originating in Tokyo, the concept embodies the Japanese principles of shokunin (craftsmanship) and omotenashi (hospitality). The London outpost offers an oasis of calm near bustling Oxford Street, featuring a wood-panelled espresso bar with clean lines and clutter-free interiors.
Went in since the Cafe looked pretty cool. Staff was super friendly and helped me decide what to drink and explained their specialty (matcha obviously) and all my available options. Drink was made super quick and was very tasty. Atmosphere was super chill and love the modern decor/design of the establishment. 10/10 experience would come again.

Lovely little coffee shop with a sleek, minimalistic vibe. Great location and ideal for grabbing a quality drink on the go. I met there with friends before heading to an event and we enjoyed our drinks inside. The drinks are definitely the highlight – my hot chocolate was rich and full of flavour (though I do wish it came in a larger mug!), and my partner’s mocha was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. That said, seating is a bit limited and not the most comfortable, and it can feel quite cramped when it gets busy. Also worth noting there’s no customer toilet. Still, for the quality of the drinks and the overall vibe, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Rosi P — Google review
🤩This small, stylish coffee shop offers a cozy atmosphere with a sleek, minimalistic design—perfect for grabbing a high-quality drink or catching up with a friend. 👍The standout here is undeniably the hot matcha latte, which is crafted with noticeable care and precision. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, it’s a clear sign that the shop uses high-grade matcha powder, making it one of the best matcha lattes around for true matcha lovers. 🙁The staff are just fine, 👎👎👎They had so dirty aprons that I immediately wanted to see the manager and say it to him/her. I just was in shock where these staff looks and what is in their minds, that they don’t see it and can’t see their colleagues too... It doesn’t add the welcoming vibe at all, though the space itself is quite compact with 👎😥limited and not particularly comfortable seating. It can get crowded, and it’s important to note there’s no customer restroom🤯😱. Still, the overall drink quality more than makes up for the small drawbacks. Whether you're a matcha enthusiast or just looking for a well-made beverage, or a 👍coffee which is definitely is very good es well, this spot is definitely worth a visit. 👍It's a great place for a short break, a quick catch-up, or simply enjoying a perfectly made hot drink. I definitely come back here to try something else and want to see what matcha powder they use. 🤯But I definitely know that there is NO washroom If the manager or someone from this place will read my review, please write me what matcha powder you use🙏 It was the best I ever tried👍😜 👍👍👍🤗I definitely recommend this place

I usually pick up a matcha to go and the taste is always strong and it’s clearly made well. Very cool spot but often can get incredibly busy and is a bit cramped. Service varies but it’s also a morning coffee pick up, so hard to expect much when churning out coffees. The square Japanese style little treats are really good.
Hannah J — Google review
Better to study the menu online before, because you can only see the menu until you reach the till. Quiet, in favour of the wood interior, although the barista crazy busy on making coffee and super speedy. Coffee normal, and sit in experience is recommended. May need to wait for the seats.

Decent for authentic matcha and coffee. Staff were able to describe all the notes. Limited seating, but nice and airy feel. From £4.30 per drink.
Jan F — Google review
There isn’t much space available but we got lucky and got two spots when we walked in. Ordered a mocha and matcha latte plus tried out their light bites (£1.7) per one. They don’t offer decaffeinated options, drinks are overall a little more on the higher price range but would still recommend a try as this brand is pretty popular worldwide, I’ve tried the one in HK before.

Rosslyn Coffee Queen Victoria Street is a small, industrial-style coffee shop located in London's financial district. Founded by James Hennebry and Mat Russell, the cafe combines elements of an Aussie cafe and an Irish pub to create a unique atmosphere. The menu features a variety of international beans, offering top-notch quality in every cup. While popular with local office workers on weekdays, the Queen Victoria Street location also opens on Saturdays. The friendly staff are always willing to chat and offer coffee recommendations.
Such a cute little coffee shop right in the heart of London, and it’s got such a great vibe. The staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome every time you visit. I keep coming back for their seasonal drinks; they’re always amazing, especially the winter and summer specials. It’s one of those spots that’s usually filled with locals, which I love because the energy is always so relaxed and positive, with everyone just enjoying their coffee and chatting. The location is perfect and easy to find, so it’s a great spot to pop into whether you’re in the area or just looking for somewhere to chill. Definitely one of my favorites in the city!

Locating at a corner of the street, the cafe can be spotted far away from the street. The design of the cafe was simply and comfortable. Plenty of benches were provided outside the cafe. There were a variety of coffee, tea and chocolate provided. We ordered an iced oat latte, a hot latte and a hot motcha. All were great. Service was efficient considering there were quite a lot of customers (we visited at 4:30pm on Wednesday). Would definitely come here again next time.

I’ve been hearing a lot of recommendations on Rosslyn Coffee, so I decided to visit on a Friday morning. The coffee shop is small, and there are no seats but tables by the window. There were tons of people getting their coffee to go. I ordered a pour over coffee (from their guest brew) and a soft serve. While I was waiting for my coffee, the barista offered up a Peruvian brew to try, which was lovely. They also got me a cup of sparkling water for my table. Everyone I interacted with in this coffee shop was extremely friendly and attentive! The coffee I had was smooth and flavourful, the soft serve delicious! Highly recommend this place, it made my morning!

Workshop Coffee is a modern café in London that offers artisan coffee, gourmet sandwiches, and pastries. The cafe features a compact space with window seats and a brick-walled Clerkenwell duplex where you can witness the roasting process of their coffee beans. The espresso drinks and filter coffees are of very good quality and are on an upward trajectory.
Workshop Coffee is serious about good coffee. They sell their own seasonal coffee beans and it’s a great place to grab a quick cup, some coffee brewing equipment, or a bag of delicious specialty coffee beans. Their Flat White was tasty, and they use beans from either Ethiopia or Rwanda beans for espresso which gives the cup a very fruity profile. One of the best places for a cup around Bond Street/Marylebone.

From Melbourne coffee standard that I am familiar with, the filter coffee seems to be roasted a touch lighter. However, the Ecuadorian that I had had a good flavour structure with apricot, citrus, a hint of pineapple and mango, which I absolutely enjoyed.

Popped by on a quiet Saturday morning for a cup of filtered coffee. The barista recommended the Colombian blend and it was so smooth and light. Will be back to buy their beans for sure!
Cheryl L — Google review
Nice hidden gem, would it be for people shopping at Oxford street or Merylebone and need a recharge! Nice coffee and pastry! Their coffee blend is slightly into fruity notes, not too much (for those who care about their taste)
Alex P — Google review
Ok coffee spot, they don’t serve slow pour (chemex, v60, hario) which is kinda weird for a nice roasters coffee spot like that. I got a flat white and it was decent, but did not rock my world.
Klaudia M — Google review
Sometime, simplicity is what you need. Their blend based on Honduran beans. Good roast, well balanced and velvety smooth. Well crafted flatwhite. Don’t go here if you are looking for comfort seats and tables. The establishment concept reminds me of a waiting room in a clinic. But it is their coffee which will make your joy. Nagare Coffee, located behind Old Spitalfields Market in London, is a charming and cozy coffee shop with a beautifully minimalist interior. Since its opening in January 2023, it has become known for offering an extensive selection of guest coffee roasters, particularly focusing on Southeast Asian roasters. The shop features a carefully curated menu that includes drinks like iced black filter coffee, cortado, and flat white, all bursting with flavor.
I found this place on my instagram feed, and have been doing all sorts Japanese activities to hype myself up for my Japan trip this September, I originally visited yesterday for the curry bread, but decided to come back today to try their coffee and cake, the place is small but cozy, the cakes look amazing and so do the table ware! The staff are amazing and friendly, I will definitely treat myself every Thursday for coffee and cake as I start late mornings, and it’s only a 20 minute walk from my workplace 👍🏾👍🏾

Everything about this café is amazing, from the cozy atmosphere that feels like a small living room to the charming decor and small seating area. I loved it. It is so cute and feels truly local and independent. The matcha was incredible as they use ceremonial grade and it was absolutely perfect, one of the best in the area. You have to stop by when visiting Spitalfields and their baked goods are wonderful too.

Lovely small specialty coffee place, we just came in when they opened and sit and in few minutes it was already full. I guess this is popular place and I can confirm that I was really satisfied with quality of the coffee. We had double espresso and batch brew. The espresso was really tasty, fruity and funky, batch brew was softvér but still very easy to drink with fruity tones. It was possible to buy coffee beans as well. If you are around, this is good choice to get specialty coffee.

Quaint little coffee shop with a relaxing atmosphere. There's limited seating and no public restroom so it's probably only a good place for solo people or duos looking for a quick spot to enjoy a drink. I got the iced hojicha latte and the coffee walnut cake. Both were delicious and a great way to start my day.
Deborah C — Google review
Nagare Coffee is an awesome little gem just outside Spitalfields Market with big Japanese grandma energy. Expect beautiful interiors, soft lofi beats, and a serious coffee game. Their house brew is smooth, slightly fruity, and perfectly balanced — no bitterness, just vibes. I had an iced coffee paired with a hot one (both served beautifully - just look at those ceramics), and the miso caramel shortbread was the standout bake. The earl grey muffin looked the part but leaned too sweet for me. Service is quick and friendly, with drinks brought to your table if you’re staying in. Seating is limited, especially indoors, but the buzz and cosy vibe make it worth the squeeze. Highly recommend for anyone into great coffee, minimal design, and pastries with personality. Heads-up — a Soho branch is on the way.

Very cute coffee shop right off Spitalfields market, very relaxing aesthetic inside. Sadly though terrible coffee 😭 I got a cappuccino, however it was so milky and light in colour that I almost think they might have forgotten to put the coffee in, full stop. Took it away so didn’t realise until I was halfway to Liverpool Street, and at that point couldn’t turn back without missing my train. Disappointing; for £4 it should have been made properly.

Caravan at London Bridge is a nice spot we sometimes choose for breakfast with friends. The atmosphere is pleasant, the interior is modern, and the staff are attentive. The menu is varied, the food comes quickly, and I especially want to mention their matcha — it’s really tasty and well-balanced 😁 It’s not my absolute favourite place, but for a tasty and comfortable breakfast in central London, it’s a great choice ✨

Convenient central location for a bank holiday brunch. Booking online was straightforward, and they had a high chair ready for us, which was great for families. We ordered the baked eggs, Korean fried chicken with pancake, avocado toast, and the English breakfast. Filter coffee came with a thoughtful note about the coffee’s origin, which was a lovely touch. The food took a little while to arrive, and while everything tasted fine, nothing stood out as exceptional. Still, it’s a decent option for a relaxed brunch in a lively setting.
Helen C — Google review
Great ambiance and a warm welcome at reception, but that’s where the positives ended. The food was consistently mediocre. The fried chicken pancakes were especially disappointing: dry, oddly sweet, sour, and spicy, not to our taste. But the real issue was the service. I understand things get hectic when it’s busy, but what stood out was the clear lack of care. We were served by Zoe, who made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. It took 25 minutes before we could even order, and only after I called her over. She forgot our water, never checked in on our meal, and when the food finally arrived, the waiter accidentally collapsed both our pancake towers. We gave feedback on the food and asked for the bill. Ten minutes later, they offered free coffee, which never arrived. Instead, they removed just two drinks from the bill, even though we were a table of four. We were planning a business lunch here next week, but we’ll be going elsewhere. Disappointing experience overall, never coming back.

I visited Caravan London Bridge for a 17:30 reservation on 31 October. To start with the positives: the serving staff were absolutely brilliant (warm, friendly, attentive) and genuinely lovely throughout the meal. They handled everything professionally, including when the sweet potato arrived so undercooked it was completely raw, and had to be returned to the kitchen. They dealt with it promptly and without fuss, and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, the rest of the visit wasn’t as reassuring. Shortly after finishing my meal, I became unwell and experienced a very upset tummy! (I’ll spare you the details) while still inside the restaurant, which was upsetting, uncomfortable, and embarrassing. Especially as we had travelled into London for dinner and an event afterwards. I contacted management afterwards, and while they replied quickly, the tone of the response felt defensive, focusing heavily on internal logs, numbers, and the fact that no other guests had complained. They emphasised their food safety processes repeatedly, but seemed unwilling to acknowledge that even with strong systems in place, standards can fall short - as demonstrated by the raw sweet potato and the fact I became unwell immediately after eating. Despite explaining exactly what happened, no refund or goodwill gesture was offered, and the priority seemed to be distancing the restaurant from any responsibility rather than showing empathy. I did politely ask the Operations Manager and she explained this is not “Caravan’s policy” to offer refunds or a gesture of goodwill. It’s a shame, because the team on the floor were wonderful. But the way management handled my experience left me feeling dismissed rather than cared for as a guest. I hope this feedback encourages Caravan to combine their procedures with a more compassionate, human response when something goes wrong. Not every response should be so heavily formal sometimes even a simple gesture, like offering a complimentary hot drink, can go a long way. Sadly, I will not be returning or recommending the restaurant.

Bar Italia is a legendary Italian coffee bar located on Frith Street in Soho, London. Established in 1949, it's a popular spot for Italian football fans, post-club crowds, musicians, and mods. Run by the founding Polledri family, this iconic cafe is known for its vintage Gaggia coffee machine and serves quick espressos or cappuccinos along with chocolate baci, pizza slices, and bacon baps at the mirrored bar counter.
They serve flat white here and I’d say this place really deserves recognition. I normally look for balance between the milk and coffee for my flat white and this one has stronger on the coffee side. The coffee strength is just perfect for me and I liked it. One of the places in London that serves great and delicious coffee. The staff were friendly.

This place is a hidden gem! It’s a classic Italian coffee shop that’s been around for ages. They serve up some seriously fast and tasty espresso, and their cannolis are to die for.
J N — Google review
I used to love this place because of its coffee and Italian desserts, like canoli and tiramisu. We always had a pleasant experience sitting at the outdoor tables watching the world go by. However, yesterday we decided to go there for some cappuccino and canolis for my birthday and got served by a grumpy man behind the till. We sat outside and, as I didn't know that they had a new policy of not letting people sit on chairs that encroach on the pedestrian side of the sidewalk, I pulled a chair because there were three of us and unknowingly positioned myself on the no-sitting zone, well, partly because there was no more space for me. Anyway, as I was about to take a sip, we were interrupted by the same man to reprimand us, rather rudely, that they don't allow people to sit on my side of the table anymore and that I should return the chair to its original place after we're done. Fine. I said sure, fully understanding the situation. My wife tried to interject to say that we didn't know the new rules and it was out of force of habit. But the man cut her short and said to let him finish. Now, we ran our own restaurant as well, and we know fully well that this is not the way to treat your customers. I thought for a moment if I had to tell him not to speak to people that way and be more polite, which makes good business sense. But, I decided to let it pass because I was not going to let a bad apple amongst good ones ruin the mood and experience that we were having that day. But, it ruined that particular experience for me anyway. The silver lining, there are thousands of other spots in London to take our business to next time.

What better place to start our Pulp concert weekend adventure??!! A lovely little cafe. Lovely coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. So pleased we visited.

An institution for a reason. Try to grab a table outside and watch Soho pass by. The coffee and pastries are excellent. It's right opposite Ronnie Scott's. It only closes for a few hours very early on the morning. Definitely worth a visit no matter what time of day or night. There will always be something interesting going on.

Juliet’s Quality Foods is a trendy spot in Tooting, known for its stylish decor and top-notch food. The cafe offers excellent coffee sourced from renowned roasters like The Barn and Koppi. Their breakfast menu features unique dishes such as smoked eel Benedict, sourdough waffles with seasonal fruits, and spiced Vadouvan eggs on house-made labneh. With a vibe reminiscent of Byron Bay cafes and American diners, Juliet's provides a delightful escape from the hustle of London.
This is one of the best brunches I’ve had in London. The Turkish eggs were incredible had a little bit of artichoke hummus that was a great touch. The sourdough on the side was also great. We had hash browns on the side which were really good. We got the seasonal special of an iced cappuccino but found the coffee was quite bitter. We also tried the banana bread & hazelnut cake both of which were good / not overly sweet. Except to queue & the musics louder than I liked! But worth it for good food.

Had brunch at Juliet Quality Foods, a popular spot in Tooting. They’ve got a nice automated ordering system, which I actually liked for the efficiency. We went for some of the hits — banana bread, caviar eggs, and smoked pumpkin eggs. The smoked pumpkin was the standout for me, along with a surprisingly excellent latte. The banana bread was good, just didn’t fully get the hype. Still think Milk does the best one in London. Very friendly service. Overall, would definitely recommend.

We stumbled upon this spot completely by chance three years ago, and it turned out to be brilliant. Ever since, I’ve been raving about their smoked caviar and sourdough at least once a month. We finally returned to see if it lived up to my memories and it absolutely did. This place is truly one of my favorite breakfast spots in London. The concept, the menu, the vibe. Everything is amazing. The pumpkin omelette rocks, and the way they use firewood in their cooking adds such depth and character to every dish. Big love ❤️

Travelled from SE London to visit this spot! Wow!!! Everything amazing. From the interior vibe and space, friendly warm welcome and service and the DELICIOUS menu. 100% recommended - brunch menu is all so tempting. Coffee options too! I will definitely be returning - there’s also a cute outside seating area

Very very very nice place. The brunch we had we must admit was one of the best we ever had. Hats off to the chef! The interior is very clean, modern and has a friendly atmosphere, and the background music is excellent!. The staff were excellent and informative apart from one of the Barista's whose front of house manners were in our opinion not very welcoming (hence 4 stars for service) but luckily she didn't put us off staying in one of the best places that we've had brunch at.
D W — Google review
In really enjoyed this place, the food was great, coffee was on point and the service was top notch. The burnt butter banana bread was sensational. Only comment is I feel like the price is a bit ridiculous for brunch but that’s just London now.
Ben G — Google review
We went for brunch and the food and worth the queue. We sat outside (which was covered and heated) and only had to wait 15/20 minutes for a table but it does get busy so be prepared to queue. The dishes and coffee are definitely worth the wait though
Safa G — Google review
A real hidden gem. We ordered the folded eggs with smoked caviar, the poached eggs with bacon, hash browns and avocado. The hollandaise sauce with fermented chilli and espresso is sensational and very unique. Do not skip the Roast Cocoa Champurrado, a Mexican chocolate hot beverage. Everything here is very high quality. A few outside tables for breakfast in the sun, very casual setting with lovely music. Be warned there are often long queues but if you arrive by about 10ish you'll be clear. The food is a bit of a star, it's seldom a breakfast can have a uniqueness we've not come across. I will be having a mimosa/beer next time, lovely vibes.

Great quality of produce and coffee but some of the staff are highly unreasonable and dismissive. Today they didn’t allow the usage of laptops in certain areas even if a half of the usual work area is blocked by them. They behave as if it is a hipster temple run by baby power trippers. Not everyone, of course, but there is one guy in particular who sticks out like an arrogant wanna be boss:( too bad really. I really liked the place otherwise. From today I will be going elsewhere:(.

Really cute coffeeshop. You can watch them roast beans while you’re drinking your coffee, which I thought was pretty cool. The coffee was really good and the pastries looked delicious, I will be back for a cardammom bun soon!

Charming coffee spot offers a delightful retreat for caffeine lovers. With its inviting outdoor seating area, it beckons patrons to unwind and savor their brew amidst a backdrop of fresh air. The outdoor seating is undoubtedly the highlight of this establishment. Tucked away from the traffic of the streets, it provides a serene oasis for those seeking a moment of tranquility. Whether you're catching up with friends or diving into a good book, the comfortable chairs and wooden tables set against a backdrop of potted plants create an ambiance that is both cozy and refreshing. Of course, the star of the show here is the coffee. Brewed to perfection, each cup is a testament to the artistry and dedication of the baristas. From rich, velvety lattes to bold, aromatic espressos, the menu boasts a variety of options to satisfy every palate. The beans are clearly of top-notch quality, resulting in a flavor profile that is robust yet smooth, leaving a lingering warmth with every sip. Equally impressive is the service. The staff here exudes genuine warmth and friendliness, making you feel right at home from the moment you step through the door. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're greeted with a welcoming smile and a genuine interest in ensuring your experience is nothing short of exceptional. Their knowledge of the menu is extensive, and they are more than happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. This has certainly become my new favourite weekend breakfast and coffee meeting joint with my friends.

The cozy interior exudes a retro vibe with comfortable seating, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Cool. Hip place. I've been going there for 3 years consistently and saw it expand which is amazing. It's always busy so it's good to get there early to grab a table if you want to work or even get a coffee. The weight full of coffee is quite long usually, but it's definitely worth it and the people working there are always super kind. The pastries are also amazing as well as the sandwiches that they serve. It feels very homey in a way and a snapshot from the past.

There is always a que at Batch Baby and for weeks I would cycle past and wonder why. Today I stopped by and found out why. Great coffee, good pastries, a friendly service and good crowd of customers. An Americano and fig Danish pastry cost me £8 and I had to que for 10mins on a busy Sunday morning, but it was worth it. The coffee was very good and the pastry was light, crumbly and moist. In short I would suggest joining the que, I will be.

I so much enjoy when I see specialty coffee shops taking care of their filter coffees (even more, when it's part of their name ;) ). There was a selection of batch brews (4 if I recall correctly) and the one that i had was in a very good shape with rich flavours. The people behind the bar were very polite and they took their time to explain me the available varieties.

The first time I came here I ordered a 1:1 which wasn’t great and I left thinking that I could’ve ordered better. Came back a second time and got the house batch and a flat white. Batch was served too cold and I couldn’t drink it all. Flat white was good however. I really want to like this place because the staff seem knowledgeable and the vibe is good but I’ve been underwhelmed each time. I was expecting better from a place I’d heard good things about. Maybe I’ve come on an off day??

Absolutely adorable shop. As someone who wants to one day own a coffee shop herself, this cute little hidden gem gave me a lot to take note of. The space, though small, was very tidy and aesthetically pleasing. The service was wonderful, as the staff was very kinda and considerate. It’s located in a great area right next to Burroughs market, making it the perfect pit stop if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee. Adorable name too, and I love the irony of how it is, in fact, run by mostly women. 💗

They also offer masterclasses on biscuit icing — definitely book one and pay them a visit. Highly recommended!

Definitely a unique spot with an interesting activity. Went for the diy biscuit decorating which was somewhere in the £60 range for 2 people which I do think was decent value but we only got to decorate 3 biscuits each. It was good fun the staff were friendly and it was a really chill spot to be. We were given an hour slot when booking but were allowed to stay much longer because it was quite empty. Can’t blame the staff but it sounded like they were excavating batmans cave below us the entire time which was obviously far from ideal. Aside from the diy biscuits themselves, we got carrot cake (top 5 I’ve ever had( I’ve tried a lot )) a hot chocolate with all the trimmings which was really good, a pumpkin spice latte and cream tea scones which were also good (made fresh with a 15 minute wait) cool place, good service and about as expensive as you’d expect. 8.8/10
Nine.osiris — Google review
I visited Biscuiteers Notting Hill for the Afternoon Tea & DIY Icing Experience for Two, which I received as a gift (usually £68 per person via Biscuiteers or £143.50 for 2 on Virgin Experience Days before discount codes). The interior is beautifully decorated; monochrome in the classic Biscuiteers logo and very Instagrammable. However, the afternoon tea area itself felt a little small and cramped. It would’ve been nice to have a bit more space to relax and enjoy the full experience. But it was a nice little table for the icing experience! The icing experience was genuinely lovely. We got to choose from various biscuit themes, the London Collection, Mother’s Day, and Floral Collection, and decorate them using piping bags and a guide. A special shoutout to Saima, who was so kind and attentive. She showed us different techniques, offered help whenever needed, and made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. They also had vegan biscuits and vegan icing available, which was perfect for my friend who is vegan. The afternoon tea, however, was a mixed bag. The savoury options were great, I requested no ham, and the team swapped it for extra salmon. The cream cheese and cucumber was classic and delicious. The scones were good, but the standout was the strawberry jam, which was unreal. The patisserie selection was also tasty, beautifully presented and full of flavour. However, we were disappointed by the lack of vegan alternatives. We were informed via email that there were no vegan scones or patisserie, and instead of offering a substitute, I had to request a vegan alternative myself via email which should really be handled proactively by the team.. We were given only two Little Miss Hug biscuits as substitutes. In 2025, that feels like a real missed opportunity. Overall, it was a fun, therapeutic, and very memorable experience, especially the icing part. I’d recommend it as a gift or special treat, but with the caveat that the vegan offering still needs work. A little more space and a more inclusive menu would make this a perfect day out.

We enjoyed Daisy Green for brekfast on our first day in London. Food, atmosphere, service and staff were excellent. We both love breakfast and always look forward to new breakfast places at home or when we travel. Staff was very accommodating when I realized that I accidentally ordered the incorrect dish for my wife (was jetlagged and this was my mistake, not staff mistake) after they brought our food out. They offered to make the correct dish for us at no charge nd brought us the correct dish. My wife enjoyed the Smashed Avocado and I enjoyed the Fancy Bacon Roll with a side of Halloumi. We shared a croissant with Americano coffees. Amzing food, great flavors, high quality ingredients, and nice presentation. The decor and the design of the restaurant is very inviting and looks well thought out. Would recommend Daisy Green and we will com back when we are back in London. Thank You Daisy Green for making our dining experience a great one.

We queues outside not for long, only around 5 minutes. Then a kind polite waiter led us to our table. We could order online or at the till, we ordered at the till. The time for the food to come took 10 minutes. The Salmon was tender and the bread was toasted to a crisp on the outside, and a warm, soft texture on the inside. The Poached egg was really good and the yolk was runny and thick and consistent. You did have to pay a £1 extra to eat in, but it was still really worth it. There was a bar with a selection of champagne and spirits. Our waiter, Jacqui, was really kind and polite. We had access to water to help ourselves. The atmosphere was really small, but in a good way to make us feel cosy especially in the winter. And there was also a selection of sandwiches and pastries. Overall, I love the presentation of the the food and the cosy atmosphere, along with the politeness of the staff.

I’ve been wanting to visit ‘Palm Vaults’ for ages and I was in no way disappointed when I went for a late lunch yesterday! There was a 20 minute wait for a table which was expected given the social media buzz this place has acquired. Whilst queuing the staff brought us iced mint water and cake samples and kept us updated on how long the wait would be. Once in I had the ‘Unleash the Dragon’ smoothie, the smashed avocado on toast and finished up with a generous slice of the Palm cake - all of which were divine and served promptly with a smile. The gorgeous decor and abundance of greenery makes for a welcoming, bright setting which is reflected in the attentive, conversational staff.

Chic and nicely decorated cafe, with lots of plants. What’s good about it is their range of specialty lattes which is interesting and pretty because of their colours. I liked my dirty chai and the rose latte was good as well. Staff were also friendly and hospitable. Will stop by if I’m in the area.

Classic hipster hangout which I enjoyed. Great to see an independent cafe with so much character thriving! Portions were just a little small for the price and the focus of this cafe is veganism and image as opposed to health foods (cakes use refined sugar). So I wouldn’t be back here super fast. But still a lovely spot if you want some pretty looking vegan cakes, drinks and food.

Interesting cafe. The pink latte (coffee free) was very nice. Being rose flavour, I feared it would taste like soap, but it doesn't at all. I ordered an additional espresso to drop into my drink on the advice of the staff (so I could try it with and without coffee), which was a nice suggestion. I had a caramel brownie, which was nice and squidgy. There were a few very nice looking sweet treats on offer and a small menu of specials. The cafe is worth a visit if you are in the area and hankering for a pick me up treat.

Such a cute place! Filled with flowers and so much pink, even the tissue paper in the toilet was pink. Me and my friends all ordered avocado on sourdough bread with various extra toppings and we were all satisfied with our food. We also tried the cakes (pineapple cake and rose cake) which were lovely, soft and not too sweet, and the rose one wasn't too overpowering. I was a bit sad that they didn't have any matcha cake that day but guess its another reason to go back.

Pophams is a patisserie known for its traditional and innovative croissants and baked goods, including weekend specials. The bakery has expanded its menu to include items like sourdough cheese toasties and artisan pasta. While the physical stores have closed, Pophams now offers delivery of pasta, sauces, bread, pastries, and cheese within a one-mile radius of London Fields. A portion of the proceeds from orders goes to support a local community food kitchen.
Now I get why people keep saying that Pophams is the best bakery in London. I tried the bacon and maple syrup bun and it tasted amazing, very balanced sweet and savoury. I also had an almond croissant that had a more particular taste but you can tell everything is fresh baked. There’s always a queque in the morning but it’s moving fast. The only thing I find quite stressful is that you have to order at the counter and then you don’t know if you’re going to find a table, if you go alone. I really want to go back next time I’m in London and try more pastries.

Their pastries are exceptional and huge! This is exactly what we all look for when it comes to delicious pastries, isn’t it? This is my second visit, and after checking the reviews, I decided to try the Bacon & Maple one since it seemed quite popular — and yes, it was absolutely delicious! The pastry was crispy yet moist from the maple syrup, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced with the bacon, which wasn’t too salty either. The sweet-and-savoury combo just made me keep eating! The croissant was also really good — fluffy and buttery — and the flan had a unique flavour, maybe dark sugar or malt? They also offer unlimited water, which is great for people like me who don’t drink coffee or tea. Definitely recommended, and I’ll be back again soon!

The place has a really nice vibe and the service was very good. The highlight of the visit was definitely the pastry. We had the maple and bacon swirl and it was out of this world! The best pastry I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend getting it warmed up as well. The coffee was also very good. Will definitely come back :)

Great on a sunny day as there is lots of outdoor seating. We ordered the sweetcorn chowder which was served super hot with tangy fresh sourdough, the bacon maple swirl, this was nice but was expensive! My almond croissant was well filled and not too sweet but a little over cooked. For two coffees and the food it cost £27. We came on a Friday to a full cafe but we could get a table straight away.

Highly recommend Pophams! I came here on my travels looking to try pastries in the UK and this was definitely the top place. We had the maple and bacon pastry. Was delicious, temperature was perfect, and was baked so well. Service was very friendly and really enjoyed the atmosphere as it was a chill and relaxing vibe. I also really liked how their menu showed which were vegan, and had nuts in it.

Long queue on a Sunday brunch - same queue regardless of takeaway or dine in. Found a nice spot facing out, ordered the yoghurt with granola and portion was quite small for the price. Yoghurt also had a strange cream texture, still good. The classic parmesan twist was crispy and savoury. Cardamom bun was perfectly crispy with the savoury cinnamon flavor.
Tan M — Google review
The best pastries I’ve ever had in my life and this is not an exaggeration. The maple and bacon bun is so interesting and full of flavour, the coffee is incredible and I’ve come back to have the cardamom bun again and to share it with my mom and she loved it to. The lamination, the caramelised outside of the pastry, the butteriness, the salt levels and the rich cardamom flavour. It’s just perfect. Their coffee was also incredible. Would give it 1000/5 if I could. Will come back again, 100%.

Lovely bakery with loads of outdoor seating on a peaceful street with a beautiful homegoods and pantry store next to the bakery. Highly recommend ham and cheese croissant and the cardamom bun. Bottled green juice was also excellent.

Caravan King's Cross Restaurant offers an industrial chic setting with a lively atmosphere and diverse global cuisine served all day. Known for their inventive brunch dishes, such as the popular fried jalapeno cornbread, and quality coffee roasted on-site from sustainably sourced beans. The restaurant also hosts a coffee school at their North London roastery for enthusiasts to learn about coffee lingo and techniques.
I took my mother for a cup of tea today as it was part of our morning shopping to celebrate her 91st birthday. One of the managers stopped to talk to her and she mentioned her birthday. She was hugged by two staff, given a huge piece of Tiramisu with a candle and the chefs in the kitchen sang ‘happy birthday’. Kind, magical and truly special. We’ll be back with all the family. Thank you so much.

The portions are very good for the price. I had a pleasant pancake and one of my companions had a nice chili style egg and chickpea brew. My other companion had an odd cream cheese and strawberry combination that didn’t come off. Slightly odd not-quite unisex toilets and a bizzare propensity of limes. Payment also weird - two different virtual tables at our one table so we couldn’t pay for a while.

I absolutely love the venue here. It’s a really lovely place to sit. We got a few bits to share, the spiced cauliflower which was lovely, the steamed cod dumplings (had too much lemongrass in the sauce for my liking) still nice though, and then the salmon rice bowl, which also could have done with some of the flavours being more balanced, price wise it is a little expensive for what you get but I would go back again.

The atmosphere at Caravan was really pleasant, busy but not too noisy. The food was tasty, and I’d consider going back.

The food here was absolutely stunning! We had the red curry and it was a perfect mix of flavour. The tiramisu was also very creamy and soft. Our server Rita was sooo nice and we had a wonderful chat with her.

I visited here for a business meeting, and was impressed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out and of their way to assist me. I personally didn’t eat anything, but other members of my group did and they said the food was of good quality. The atmosphere was vibrant and it was quite busy for 9am in the morning so if you were visiting during a peak time of the day, lunchtime for example, I would definitely recommend booking. One point to mention would be is that they do have long tables with bar like stools in the section I sat in, so some less mobile people may find it more challenging to use these chairs. However, this was of no concern for myself or the group I was with. I would certainly recommend visiting here.

The cocktails are amazing. I had the house margarita and it has exactly the right balance of sweet and sharp. Delicious! My husband had the tiramisu martini and said it was like a dessert in a glass. Make sure you have the cornbread when you're there and don't forget to squeeze a bit of lime on it. The service was perfect. Really friendly and kind staff.

Lets start with the positive. My oat milk iced latte was probably the most delicious i have ever had hence the 4 stars. I don't usually feel compelled to leave a review but felt i had to after i decided to be adventurous and ordered the jalapeno cornbread fried egg whole jar of pesto, feta and pickled onion..... circus. Was someone high when they concocted up this madness on a plate? Is this really a best seller 😭 my friends avocado egg looked AMAZING. She thought she was being boring ordering it, but it was really sensible. I will be back, for the coffee and whatever she ordered, but i have been put off ordering new things for now 🥺

In addition to their exceptional coffee selection, Antipode also serves inventive brunch-style food such as loaded kimchi and cheddar toasties.
A very intimate and unique coffee experience with an experienced barista (one of the nicest folks I’ve had the pleasure of meeting) offering fine espresso drinks and drip/pour over choices for all. Excellent roast selection with a rotating guest roast option if you’re curious about things you may not have seen before. On top of all that, the pastries were delicious too! Highly recommend whether you’re local and have been wanting to try it out or passing through on your travels in London.

I passed by this small cafe while at work, and since I had some time to spare and the weather was quite cold, I decided to go in for a coffee to warm up. Although the cafe is small, there are plenty of seats, and it has a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff was very polite and friendly, greeting each customer warmly. I ordered a mocha and a pain au chocolat. The food was nice, and the mocha, with its beautiful latte art, instantly lifted my spirits. However, I did notice that the lighting in the dining area was a bit dim. I look forward to trying more items from their menu next time!

Best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Service 10/10 from the girls behind the bar tonight despite being full to the brim with concert goers (we were going to see a concert at Eventim Apollo and stopped here for a couple of drinks). Great selection of cocktails and wine, including alcohol free options. The place is small but warm and cosy. Coffee is a must try.

Fab coffee, if you're super into your coffee this is probably the place for you, nothing really dulled down by syrup flavours so you can appreciate the coffee. Service was quick but the guy serving us seemed a bit too cool for school and wasn't the most friendly but he was also by himself so could of very well just been a bit rushed. The music was very loud so wasn't really the place to go to chill out but can defo imagine it being great in the evening. Great location too Would love to try this place again for food as the menu looks lovely!

Excellent flat white, very smooth yet strong and a bit bitter. However, coffee is very pricy, +0.50 for alternative milk (4.70 for an oat flat white to have in which is way too much) and the interior is shabby.

The Wren Coffee is a unique cafe located within the historic St. Nicholas Cole Abbey, designed by Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London. The cafe operates on weekdays from 7am to 5pm and offers gourmet coffee and artisan snacks in a stunning setting with high ceilings and beautiful stained-glass windows. Lovely friendly pop up cafe in an old Wren church. Plenty of seating inside the church and outside under umbrellas. Great for remote working/quiet reading with reasonable coffee and some light food options.

It's a perfect place to take a break and spend some time reading a book inside a church. Really a hidden place, large & quiet indoor atmosphere . You can enjoy outdoor seating also with a cup of coffee and cake , probably a good place for a quick work meeting . Staffs are very friendly.

Hidden gem, that needs to stay hidden. If you want somewhere to sit and read a book in peace and just escape London for 20 minutes, this is the place to go. With great chocolate and a good selection of pastries, snacks, and the like. It was a joy to visit. The coffee shop is in a church, and this gives the entire place a peaceful atmosphere. One of our favourite places to visit while in London and I wish we visited it sooner!

A lovely cafe hidden in a beautiful church. Friendly barista. Splendid decor and interior. The iced latte was okay, not catching up with the atmosphere unfortunately. Both indoor and outdoor seating available and it’s very laptop friendly, good to work/study. There’s a small secret garden at the back of the church, which is a great spot to sit, relax, or read with coffee when the sun’s out.

Epic place! It's a coffee shop in an old church, which is so cool. The space is spacious, and the staff is super friendly. Crosissant wasnt my fav tho It might be a bit on the expensive side, but the great atmosphere makes it worth it.. probably a good place for a quick work meeting

Been here twice now, people have said the atmosphere is great and I’d definitely agree. It’s friendly, warm, good lighting but also, fantastically spacious, which is rare in London, considering so many coffee shops are crammed and very small. The coffee itself is really really good, I will definitely be going back again for that. The staff are friendly. I haven’t tasted the food, so can’t comment on that, although it might be good to have a bit more of a selection cake wise, but looking forward to going back again soon with friends/family.

Brad Morrison and Colin Mitchell are the men behind Dark Arts Coffee, an independent specialty coffee roaster based in Hackney. The team produces carefully selected seasonal coffees that can be found at Rosina Street espresso bar. Visitors to the cafe would be silly not to try out the delicious beverages!
The coffee tastes great! I love Photosynthesis. It’s a bit pricey but I love spending my money buying this, no regrets. It tastes great as Filter (Aeropress and French Press, self-optimized brewing time) and also with (oat) milk, totally unexpected (I bought at the coffee shop). The barista is very nice and delivered a good service.
Ardika I — Google review
I'm only a couple of months in the UK from Australia but this place had some of the best filter coffee I've had since arriving. Totally hidden and is mostly a roastery but the place was buzzing so the wholesale side of their business is obviously going well. They had 2 batch brews on offer & after enjoying one, Lincoln, the barista gave me a sample of the other. It was so good I had to buy a bag immediately. If you're serious about the coffee you drink, DAC is worth a visit. Keep in mind, there is no dine in cups, no seating and limited food (pastries and a couple of cakes) but they've got plenty of retail coffee options and brewing gear
Alisdair W — Google review
Dark Arts Coffee is not your average café — it’s a cult roastery with a rebellious soul. Tucked away in Hackney, this espresso bar delivers coffee with precision, personality, and a bit of punk-rock flair. The beans are roasted in-house, and each cup feels like a small act of devotion to the craft. We tried the Lost Highway blend — rich, complex, and beautifully balanced. Whether it’s a flat white, filter, or cold brew orange mocha frappuccino (yes, really), the flavours are deep and memorable. The pastries — especially the pain au raisin — are indulgent and generously sized, perfect for pairing with your caffeine fix. Seating is mostly curbside, but that only adds to the charm: moto enthusiasts, heavy music, and a steady stream of loyal regulars make it feel like a scene, not just a stop. Highlights Expertly roasted seasonal blends with real character Buttery pastries and standout croissants Gritty, unapologetic vibe with heavy background music Friendly, knowledgeable staff who know their beans Final Thought Dark Arts Coffee is for those who take their brew seriously — and like it with a side of edge. If you’re craving top-tier coffee in a setting that’s anything but generic, this one’s a must.
Jonas P — Google review
Went into the shop on Monday and the barista was so sound and made me the tastiest latte! I bought a bag of beans off of their recommendation and she’s just as nice from home - big fan, huge. Also, will make sure to visit the shop again after such a nice experience, 10s across the board darling xo

Federation Coffee is a local cafe located in the covered market of Brixton Village, London. It has been a prominent player in the speciality coffee scene for almost six years, with its current location being at the heart of Brixton Village for three years. The cafe offers a house-blend on espresso from Kent-based roasters, Curve, along with regularly-rotating single-origin options. The menu features freshly made snacks and cakes sourced from local bakeries.
I tried Federation out because I was passing through Brixton. I’m glad I did. This is a proper coffee shop with baristas who are knowledgeable about coffee and can give good advice. I enquired about purchasing beans to take away and had a chat about the flavour profile of the coffee and the best grind for my Bialetti. The barista then let me try an espresso to ensure I was happy before buying. The espresso was seriously good. The beans that were ground for me were only roasted a week ago and filled my vehicle with the most beautiful aroma all the way home. I bought a flat white with Bonsoy and was very impressed. Balanced flavour and creamy texture all the way to the last drop. My only gripe is that they didn’t have Oat milk (odd for a hipster coffee shop in 2018) and no vegan cake options either. I’ll be back for the great coffee though. Keep it up guys.
Nick G — Google review
Not the best curated place but amazing coffee in vibrant Brixton Village Market some more attention to the interior decor would help ...not many seats inside and only few table outside if you lucky to grab a spot is a very enjoyable place to suck in all the energy of the village market while sipping your coffee and people watching ! They also have some pastry I love their cinnamon ban with moka w/soy as combo!

Fabulous coffee but don’t bother with takeaway food - I waited 10 minutes for half toasted bread, which I then had to attempt buttering myself (and no jam/basic toppings on the menu). Sit in breakfasts did look amazing, just don’t think takeaway should be offered if it’s not done properly.

Attendant Coffee Roasters in Mayfair is a laid-back cafe that offers ethically sourced coffee, breakfast, and light lunches. Housed in a former Victorian men's pissoir, the subterranean space exudes an inviting aroma of roast arabica and scented candles. The original urinals have been repurposed as seating, adding to the unique ambiance. The house-roasted beans result in excellent coffee while made-to-order sandwiches, hot snacks, and delicious cakes are also available.

Great coffee place adjacent to French Connection - with toilets. Ideal to work, grab a coffee, or have a little break while in the area, but away for the hustle bustle of Oxford Street
Sonia T — Google review
Great atmosphere. It’s Mayfair so it’s quite pricey but I wish the latte is tastier. It has a good texture though. The pistachio cookie tastes delicious but it’s just a bit sad in terms of volume, such a thin piece for a high price.
Salman F — Google review
I’ve always been a big fan of Attendant’s Shoreditch location, so when I found myself needing to kill an hour or two in Mayfair, I thought I’d pop into their Mayfair branch. It’s tucked inside the French Connection store, so it kind of feels like you’re having your coffee in the middle of a boutique, which is quite charming in its own way. The place wasn’t busy at all, and there were plenty of tables by a big window that lets in a ton of natural light. There’s also some outdoor seating, which makes it a great spot on a sunny day. Unfortunately, the experience was completely let down by some truly hostile customer service. The guy behind the till, a short man with a beard and a plaster on his face, possibly Middle Eastern or Indian, gave off zero warmth. No smile, no greeting. I asked if I could have my iced coffee in my reusable cup (which I had just finished another drink with), and he looked at me like I’d asked for something outrageous. “Why? You want me to wash that?” he said, visibly annoyed. I told him it just needed a quick rinse, no washing required, but the attitude was already out in full force. To top it off, their prices aren’t exactly friendly either. £4.95 for an iced black americano in my own cup. That’s steep, even by central London standards. I understand that working in an area like London Mayfair means you're likely to deal with demanding and sometimes even disrespectful customers. But let’s try to treat everyone with respect and greet everyone fairly. It’s really not hard to offer a basic level of courtesy. What a shameful way to ruin my impression of a coffee brand I used to love.

This place is okay for a quick coffee though the atmosphere is pretty dead here. The management should really look into getting pest control as lots of baby mice around (see pictures). While it may be lesser-known, those who have discovered it speak highly of its quality and unique offerings.
Much more than just a coffee hut! Seriously outstanding selection of coffee for both discerning and casual coffee drinkers. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, capable of giving you the benefit of their experience and local knowledge for the coffee scene. Pour overs as well as your average selection of essentials. You're outside or inside, so unlike the food stalls you can shelter from the elements.

I guess this place is nice for coffee, but when I ordered matcha I received some weird brownish-greenish liquid impossible to drink.
Yeva H — Google review
This place is very well regarded in London's specialty artisan coffee scene, it's situated in a small food and art market called netil market, which is close to Broadway market. The coffee shop itself is in a converted shipping container. Despite the size there is space available to sit out of the rain to have your drink. There is a good selection of coffee beans available to buy, not cheap but the price reflects the quality of the coffee beans available. This place is one of the few places in London where you can buy beans from a coffee roaster called friedhats, based in Amsterdam Holland. Naturally I had to buy some. The coffee drink I bought was their house filter which was very good indeed, and actually tasted better as it cooled. The coffee beans I bought from them were very good too. Competition for specialty coffee is tough in London, especially in this particular part of London. I can safely say that paradox design lives up to its excellent reputation.

EL&N London is a renowned cafe with multiple locations in London and beyond, known for its vibrant pink decor and elaborate floral displays. The cafe's signature pink-hued lattes featuring intricate latte art have made it a hit on social media. Its whimsical ambiance creates an enchanting oasis that captivates visitors, with every corner serving as a picturesque backdrop.
EL&N London is a trendy and vibrant café. I tried the Spanish Latte, Flat White, Honey Cake, and Lotus Cheesecake — all were delicious and well-prepared. The place was quite busy, both inside and outside, with about a 5-minute wait to get in and another 10 minutes for the order to arrive. Despite the crowd, the overall experience was enjoyable and worth the visit.

The service was very slow. I had to ask the waitress to take my order, and she only came twice: once to accept the order and once to bring the tea. I asked for a cheesecake from their dessert stand, but it never arrived until I reminded her again. My plates were left on the table until I asked for dessert as well. The food itself is good, but the service really needs improvement.

Promu and Karima were excellent hosts at EL &N. The food was incredible. Very tasty, reasonably priced and quick service. Promu and Karima went out of their way to answer our questions and made us feel very welcome. I recommend EL&N !

Visited 09/09/2025. Kitchen was out of service but customers were not being informed at the door but only when sitting down. A lovely array of pastries, cakes and sandwiches available on the day I visited. Place was pretty empty inside with a few outside. The staff I had interacted with were lovely but service was a bit slow, I had to get up and ask someone to take my order and also had to get up to go pay when finished as I needed to leave. Doesn't appear to be very well managed (albeit on a less busy day with the kitchen out of order!) Had the Turkey and Cheese ciabatta, it was nice and cost £11. Will have to go back to try their main menu/cooked items. Everything is halal.

The Desert here is so Divine. I had the rose pistachio cake, and it melted in my mouth. It was so good. The coffee wasn't what I expected. I had the V60, and it was so light. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Sanchez is a fantastic host.

I had a wonderful experience at El & N! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special mention goes to Shade, who was an exceptional server incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. He made the whole experience even better with his professionalism and positive attitude. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back! 🌟

Coffee Island, located at 5 Upper St. Martins Lane, offers a taste of European coffee culture with its wide variety of classic and unique coffee blends. Visitors can even create their own custom blend at the grinding station. The shop provides various brewing options such as pour over, Chemex, AeroPress, Syphon, and cold drip. Customers praise the exceptional service provided by employees who are professional and attentive to their needs.
Visited yesterday when in London shopping for the day. Great location, very convenient but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Decent amount of seating and no pressure to be really quick. I enjoyed the flat white I had, as well as the chance to sit and relax for a while. I didn't have any food but the options looked tasty. Nice environment, quiet but warm. Staff were friendly. Only downside was the toilet was blocked so couldn't be used but other than that it was excellent.

Coffee Island has the best coffee in Greece and London. What most people don't know is that they also offer excellent customer support.Since I live outside London, I placed an order with the London store so I could still enjoy proper Greek coffee at home. The order was unfortunately delivered incorrectly, but Ms. Dimitra was incredibly responsive and personally took care of everything. Thanks to her kindness and professionalism, the package was re-sent and arrived safely. A big thank you to Ms. Dimitra – excellent service and highly recommended!

Such a lovely experience! The service at this coffee shop is truly heartwarming — the staff are so kind, respectful, and always ready to serve with a genuine smile. They make every customer feel cared for and appreciated. My coffee was made perfectly and served with such grace. The atmosphere is calm, cozy, and filled with positive energy. It’s a wonderful place to relax, enjoy good coffee, and feel welcomed. Truly grateful for the beautiful service and kindness shown here. ☕💖

Tried and true ultra central cafe. Manages to be really clean and have a nice ambiance despite the busy central location, and it has lots of plugs which is appreciated. Coffee is fine, perfectly good. Matcha is a bit of an afterthought. However, avoid the lavender tea at all costs. I don’t know what I expected, but I was served a tea bag completely filled with drawer-potpourri-sachet- amounts of straight lavender, which was completely inedible haha, this is just perfume water…

A nice greek cafe on the heart of London. It was around 12 minutes walking distance from my hotel. The place is nice, the staff are friendly and fast. The freddo cappuccino was delicious. The price was good.
YAFEA A — Google review
Decent enough but the mugs were awful. I don't know what it is about certain types of food establishments but they seem to go for form over function and this cafe is definitely one of them. The mugs are completely impractical, lacking a hole in the handle to enable you to lift it safely. If you have any sort of restricted mobility in your hands you'll need to look elsewhere.

Nestled in the heart of Trafalgar Square, Notes Coffee Roasters & Bar is a stylish haven for coffee enthusiasts and food lovers alike. This chic establishment offers an inviting atmosphere with its sleek, minimalist decor that encourages relaxation. Guests can indulge in gourmet coffee crafted from premium beans while savoring a delightful selection of pastries, pies, and charcuterie. The menu also features modern European dishes made with fresh seasonal ingredients, making it perfect for brunch or lunch.
Very nice location. Good spot to stay before going to national gallery. They had a drink called orange Americano. I found this a funny combination and it worked out well. The pastries and not phenomenal, but pretty good. A good place to catch up with your friends.

Notes is a solid spot for a coffee break right in the bustling heart of London. The venue itself is stylish, with high ceilings and a welcoming vibe that works whether you're popping in for a quick coffee or lingering longer. While the beverages are good, the service can feel a bit slow. We only tried a matcha and a tea, but the overall charm of the place lies more in its ambiance than in standout drinks. If you’re in the area and don’t mind a slight wait, it’s worth visiting to soak in the relaxed yet refined setting. It’s a cozy retreat amidst the tourist rush of Trafalgar Square. I’d give it a 4/5 for the overall experience.

Missed breakfast and wanted brunch. They do an all day brunch. There is a table for 8 and tables for 2 that are side by side to accommodate 12. There is a selection of hot chocolate from 32-82%. The juice is cold pressed. Quiet background music to facilitate conversation. A casual relaxed vibe. Scrambled eggs overcooked, no butter on the bread and no hollandaise.

Perfect spot for brunch before the National Portrait Gallery. The service was quick and friendly and the food both lovely and delicious. Lots of options for a variety of palates - my picky tween, hungry teen boy and foodie teen girl were all very happy with the menu. Definitely recommend for a quick bite if you're in the area.

I really enjoyed my visit to Notes Coffee. The coffee was excellent—smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I tried one of their light bites as well, which was fresh and tasty. The café has a relaxed, modern vibe that makes it perfect for working, reading, or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience feel welcoming and personal. It’s a great spot if you want high-quality coffee in a calm and comfortable setting. Grind is a popular London coffee house with an organic focus that features barista-made coffee drinks. The café is bustling with activity, and the coffee is always delicious.
I love this place. We walked in looking for a coffee and a place to take shelter from the rain, and we ended up finding one of the best spots in London to enjoy a great cup. In a city where coffee rarely reaches outstanding quality, this place truly stands out. Finding good coffee in London isn’t that easy. Hats off!
Roel G — Google review
This is a solid coffee shop in Soho, with a few other branches around London. The coffee is genuinely lovely and the staff were warm and polite. I really appreciated the touch of having your order brought over after ordering at the counter. It’s not the norm in central London and a welcome surprise. The space is stylish and the downstairs area has a moody charm. My dad (pictured) said it felt like a speakeasy. Pricing is fair for the area, and the service charge, though added verbally, felt justified. My one big gripe: the pastries. The croissants looked tired, hard, and sadly stale. Absolutely not up to the standard of everything else. A quick warm-up or better display would’ve made a huge difference. A good stop for coffee, but I’d give the baked goods a miss.
Key M — Google review
The place is quite cool, modern. The staff are kind and the service is fast. However, for those who like good coffee, this is not the place. Unfortunately, our coffee was burnt and really bitter. Additionally, they have a very private part of the basement that we saw people there drinking latte and working/studying on their laptops.

I had a vanilla oat milk cappuccino and it was a 10/10. The servers were soooo kind and lovely. The place is lovely and cosy and I went to order one more to takeaway and the barista remembered my order even when it’s been over an hour from my last order with many order customers in between. Truly recommend

Violet Cakes is a quaint bakery in Dalston, run by Claire Ptak, a talented cook/designer/stylist from California. This charming spot offers an array of delicious American-style cupcakes, pastries, and brownies made with high-quality ingredients. Their signature treats are beautifully decorated with real flowers, adding a touch of elegance to their laidback atmosphere. The menu changes seasonally and features flavors like chocolate violet and lemon.
Lovely cake shop with amazing chocolate cupcakes — rich, moist, and full of flavor! They also offer a great variety of other sweet treats and good coffee to go with it. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot for a quick break or a sweet indulgence.
Samah A — Google review
"when are we going to Violet" is the first planning step every time I have a trip to London planned. Claire's cookbooks are the most heavily used in my rotation at home, and inspire a lot of my own baking. My partner and I usually grab an assortment of desserts to share when here and sit on their little patio watching the world go by and tasting everything: cupcakes that are moist and topped with creative and full bodied icings, chewy and spiced cookies, mini pumpkin pies if they're in season: a little bit of everything. Nothing is too sweet and everything is big on flavor and texture. This most recent visit we tried the avocado and ham toasts which came on perfectly crusty sourdough with a runny egg and those were also a delight. Their coffee and matcha never disappoints either. My only regret is not living in London and not being able to go more often.
Kat G — Google review
I enjoyed the strawberry cupcake at Violet but what was suggested (the scone with apricot was not good and expensive!). The filling just tasted like butter and the dough was mediocre. The service was weird too… the server got angry because I didn’t leave tip. It’s a bakery!
Michelle B — Google review
I entered this bakery thinking it would be a cute local spot. However, on entering, we did not feel very welcomed. We were greeted with nothing more than a mere half-hearted smile. The prices were on the high side, £17.10 for two cookies and 2 small drinks. The cookies were hard and dry. Whilst the hot chocolate was good, the matcha was lukewarm with clumps of matcha powder at the bottom. I would not recommend due to the poor service and lack of quality. Disappointing.
Tara S — Google review
Ordered the chocolate buttercream cake for a birthday and it was so so good. The chocolate flavour was so rich in both the cake and cream - it was almost like a brownie cake. Super delicious and recommended!

HYs — Google review
The tahini brownie and cupcake cake were delicious, however the cupcake icing wasn’t as flavourful as I expected (was pleasantly not too sweet though). The service was wonderful, definitely worth a visit!
Ellen — Google review
I’ve been coming to Violet Cakes since 2014, as I live nearby and genuinely love cakes, so it’s disappointing to write this. The service has always felt a bit off, but recently it has become even more awkward and unwelcoming, especially considering the pricing. It’s not just a one-off either; after more than a decade of giving this place chances, the atmosphere still hasn’t improved, and it often feels like customers are an inconvenience rather than valued. What’s more concerning is that I’m not the only one experiencing this, you can see the same feedback echoed in other reviews too. This place has so much potential, but until the service matches the quality and price of the cakes, it’s hard to justify returning.

Host Café is a unique coffee shop located in a 17th-century church, offering specialty coffee, organic soup, and locally baked cakes. The café provides an enchanting experience with its historical backdrop and ornate Gothic church building. While the setting is incredibly beautiful and reasonably priced compared to other city places, some visitors found the cold draft caused by multiple open doors uncomfortable. Additionally, there were mixed opinions about the pricing policy and food portion sizes.
A hidden gem in central London. I still can’t find the correct words to describe this experience. The coffee is amazing and the staff treated us well. The seating is a bit limited but we were very lucky and had our seats available pretty much instantly.

Loved the idea turning a church into a cafe, makes the vibe super unique and chill. The seating is worked nicely around the space, and it’s just a great place to hang out. The coffee was pretty good, bit different from what I’m used to, but still enjoyable. They’ve got toasties, soups, pastries, and you can even bring food from nearby as long as you grab something from the cafe, which is pretty handy. Perfect for a quick bite or a drink if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary. Definitely worth checking out!

Always like going here every Tuesday for a coffee, hidden away from the hustle & bustle it’s a great gem for coffee! The staff are nice esp the lady who served me today, the coffee is top tier (esp the flat white) & I like the independent feel of it, decor, coffee, things to buy etc. Definitely one of my favourite coffee places in London!

Unknowingly walked into a free coffee, only knew upon payment that it was, and that they do give out complimentary coffee every Wednesday! ⏰ we were here around 3+, and did not see a snaking queue despite it being free 🆓 Mocha was our choice of poison today, and apparently it was one of the better ones that we have had! Not because it was free, but the ratio of coffee to chocolate was to our palate 👍🏻 Definitely will return even if it’s not for free! 💯

Been going here since December 2024. Nice vibe and great coffee. I went in today and ordered. The guy serving ( wearing a cycling hat back to front ) took the order and I said "Oh its free as I have a free stamped card". He changed the till from £4.00 to 0.00....took not even a second. He responded to me by saying "You could have told me that earlier as you are WASTING MY TIME AND YOUR OWN!". Not cool or polite. He even stared me down when giving me my coffee. I really hope the owners read this review as this was 100% the truth. Why be so rude for such a petty thing. It took him 1 second to change the till amount to 0.00.

Buzzing little indie/punk cafe in the city offering an alternative vibe to your average city dwellers hangout. Service brief and efficient, impressed to find out it's a charity (!?), employing blind people. Extra star for customer outreach. Filter coffee ordered, given a batch brew. Sadly a bit over extracted; bitter and a bit soupy. Hopefully just a one off given it's a initiative. Lots of beans and merch on offer. Very comfortable seating, offered with blankets which was a nice touch.

Climpson & Sons is a coffee shop located in Broadway Market in London, England. It has an impressive range of coffee, espresso and blend options as well as its own roastery. The coffee is always freshly roasted and the cafe is always buzzing with customers.
The coffee speaks for itself. it’s excellent! If you get the chance, take home one of their bottled coffee concentrates and try it yourself. It’s seriously good. If you love your coffee strong and bold, I couldn’t recommend it more.

Depends on who makes it, but climpson flat whites and cappuccinos can either be the best in the area (look at that microfoam!!) or just decent. But, when they’re on, they’re on!!! Service is hit or miss as well. A few staff members are curt and crabby, grunting even when we try a “good morning ! How are you?” Other staff members are absolutely lovely. I personally prefer Climpson to Pavilion, although my partner prefers Pavilion as it’s less milky (important for a flat white) and a bit more consistent. Takeaway only.
Jess M — Google review
Saw reviews this was the best coffee at Broadway Market and felt hopeful I could enjoy a nice cuppa even though it was 4.20pm, way past my coffee cut off time. But I thought it'd be worth it if it was that good. Was given the Broadway Blend (caramel, vanilla, pear) for my latte. The coffee was just luke warm, and quickly cooled down to tepid. The first sip didn't impress..it was slightly acidic on my palate - not overly much, but there was a hint of sour and slight bitterness. It wasn't very strong, given this is a medium roast, but it wasn't a profile I was immediately fond of. This isn't a rich and creamy Joe, if that's what you're after. I don't hate it, but it becomes forgettable, and I certainly won't be having it again. The service was OK. Tepid, like their coffee. Coz when I asked about their beans, they were a little defensive, and I had to explain I wanted to know the profile before ordering. Given the location, this is one of the cheaper coffees I've paid for in London (£3.40). I got my coffee quickly (fast efficient service) and certainly did not linger around even though there were no other customers around.

Climpson and Sons is a small coffee shop with selling some high quality coffee and pastries. I had their filter brew batch of the day, which was from Colombia and had a nutty flavor. Note there are no chair to sit on, it’s more of a grab and go place. Staff was also friendly.

Kapihan is a charming coffee shop that offers a variety of Southeast Asian brews and Filipino-style pastries. Originally opened near Battersea Park, it has now relocated to Battersea Park Road. The menu features conventional espresso-based drinks as well as more unique options like Kubo Float and Kapeng Barako. The cafe also serves delectable baked coconut Bibingka cakes and house-cured sausage rolls.

After years, I have managed to dine at Kapihan! :) My friends was so thoughtful and we visited this cafe after his park run. I went long time ago but every pastry was sold out. So today we were early. We had bibingka, chocolate bibingka and spicy bibingka. Did a takeaway too. :) D'Original Bibingka - a rice cake baked in a banana leaf with a chewy texture, sprinkled with sugar and coconut. Chocolate Churro Bibingka - had the same base with dark chocolate chips and cinnamon sugar - i love that it was balanced, not too sweet and not super bitter. Spicy Mushroom and Queso Bibingka - same original bibingka based topped with mushrooms and queso de bola (cheese) - this one surprisingly works. Filipinos are fans of sweet n spicy too. Not very spicy - i would say warmth 😊 Ube cheese pandesal was really good - the pandesal was airy and not dense, it held its shape. Ube was not too sweet and the cheese just mellowed it all out. Classic. We wanted to try their sikwate but they were still awaiting the malagos chocolate shipment. I have more reasons to go back. If only I lived close. 🤣 I did takeaways of ube cheese pandesal and adobo pandesal -- my partner and I will review together 😊 They have 2 branches in battersea :) take your pick.

Cute little cafe to stop by for pastries or small plate for lunch prior to strolling Battersea Park. Ordered the tapsilog and longsilog which was nice - the protein was flavoursome but I would have liked more garlic in the rice. FYI There’s two stores on the same street: one is an express with just coffee and some pastries and the other is the larger cafe/restaurant

Price for karamelo was £4.60, paid an extra 50p for it to be iced instead of hot!!! Never seen that before. Though it was nice. I also had the philopeans special bakery, it was nicely presented on a leaf and warm but quite small and expensive for what it's worth. Felt robbed at the end to enjoy the drink and bakery. The staff was nice and helpful and so was the place.

The details were what made it so cute. The coffee cups and pastry bags had Jeepneys with Battersea written on them, adorable!

Coffee shop
Electric Coffee Co is a charming coffee shop with branches in Ealing and St John's Wood, London. Their direct-trade beans are processed in their West Sussex roastery, offering a power boost with serious cold drip Kenyan coffee and creative lattes like matcha and beetroot. The menu also includes homemade sandwiches and pastries. The cozy space features outdoor seating, an upper ground level area, and a private downstairs section.
What a charming coffee shop! Big shout out to the friendly barista in the Rick and Morty tee—fantastic service. The prices are extremely reasonable and the cookie was a massive hit. The coffees were spot-on, just the way we like them — at the perfect temperature. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend visiting; the interior is tastefully decorated, giving off cozy living room vibes.

Electric Caffè is a little coffee gem in London. The cappuccino is very good, made with excellent coffee blends and topped with a dense yet light foam—I’d say it’s excellent (I’m Italian and I know coffee well). The atmosphere is lovely, with gentle music playing in the background. The setting is very refined, making it perfect for meeting friends or for working or studying peacefully on your laptop. There’s a wide selection of croissants, cakes, and sandwiches, all absolutely delicious. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. There are two toilets downstairs, both very clean, but not suitable for people with disabilities. Absolutely recommended.

Fantastic Lunch Spot with Great Food and Friendly Service I stopped by for lunch and ordered the tuna melt along with an oat milk latte. Both were absolutely exceptional. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the coffee was smooth and well made. The staff were warm and welcoming, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was served despite the café being quite busy. The coffee shop has plenty of seating, with areas available on both the ground and lower levels. Parking is also convenient, located just nearby, and payment is simple through the RingGo app. Overall, a great spot for a relaxed meal or coffee break. Highly recommended!

Fantastic coffee! I ordered a hot flat white with oat milk and my husband ordered a hot latte with oat milk. Incredible taste, rich and bold coffee taste. Definitely coming back for more and perhaps try their other drinks & pastries! Also great and relaxing ambience. We are considering buying their coffee beans too.

The best vegan cake I've ever had in a coffee shop. And their soya chai latte was delicious. I would 1000000% recommend it. The staff were so friendly and brought my drink to me when it was ready. The cake slice was much bigger than I expected for £3.50 (especially in London). I would love to come back when I'm in the area.

Nice little coffee shop with some seating at back. Popped in for a takeaway, polite service, nice coffee. But, their idea of a Long Black is about half the size of what I would expect, more like a double Espresso size, served in smaller cups than say a cappuccino. Nice coffee but expected more if it for a simple black coffee.

Very cute coffee shop. Grabbed a coffee to wake myself up because I was feeling groggy from being underslept. The oat cappuccino I got was so delicious! Put me in a good mood for the day ahead. Much appreciated and recommended!

I have been a loyal customer of Electric Coffee for a long time, but after my recent experience with Bruce at this branch, I will not be coming back. While ordering a simple flat white, I politely asked the price of a bakery item. Instead of just answering, Bruce sighed loudly and rolled his eyes — extremely rude and unprofessional. Things got worse when I briefly stepped outside to take an important business call (no more than 2 minutes). On returning, he aggressively confronted me, saying “your coffee is ready, why are you answering your phone,” in an uncalled-for and confrontational manner. This was shocking behaviour from someone representing the business. As a long-standing customer, I expect basic respect and courtesy — not sighs, eye-rolling, and hostility for no reason. His attitude ruined the whole experience, and it’s solely because of him that I will never return to this branch. If this is how Electric Coffee allows its staff to treat customers, it’s disgraceful. Management seriously needs to address Bruce’s conduct.

Campbell & Syme Coffee Roasters Cafe, located in East Finchley, has been a beloved neighborhood spot since 2012. While the cafe and roastery used to share a small space, the roasting operations have since moved offsite. However, the original cafe continues to thrive after almost a decade. As an in-house roaster, they offer a variety of coffees that change with the seasons and are known for their range of washed Ethiopian coffees.
Great cafe just off the main street with speciality coffee. Atmosphere felt very relaxed and not too busy. Oat Flat white is only £3.50. They have a great selection of cakes and also toasties. Plenty vegan options too. Highly recommend!

One of the best coffee places in London I have visited so far. Their espresso is mind-blowing. Full body, low acidity and hardly any bitterness at all. I wish I could dial in my machine like this. Pour-overs are tasty as well. Once they noticed after my order that they didn't have enough enough beans. Despite my protest the barista gave me a refund and the espresso on the house. Can't wait for my next visit.

Campbell & Syme Coffee Roasters Café is a haven for true coffee enthusiasts, serving expertly roasted beans with precision and passion. With its minimalist charm, knowledgeable baristas, and consistently excellent brews, it sets the standard for specialty coffee in London.
Queen C — Google review
There are a lot of excellent specialty coffee shops in London, but for me, Campbell & Syme is the place to go. In fact, every time I’m in town, I go out of my way to stop by, sit down, and enjoy. They are deeply embedded in the community, and yet are extremely welcoming to outsiders like myself. All the drinks I’ve tried are excellent: milk-based espresso drinks have the correct temperature and texture, the batch brews on rotation are excellently brewed, pour-overs range from sweet to juicy to experimental, depending on your tastes. As for the beans on offer, they are extraordinary. I bought a glorious yellow catuai, double fermented natural from Costa Rica. Cannot wait to brew it! Special shoutout to Beau for making Campbell & Syme even more special. She is softly-spoken and warm, it’s rare to meet a barista who is both so knowledgeable and approachable!

Their coffee? Absolute perfection — balanced, rich, and clearly made by people who know their craft. But what really wins you over is the warm, down-to-earth service. Almost the perfect coffee heaven! Just wish they’d ease up on the “no laptops” rule during quiet hours… it borders on cruelty to serve coffee this good and not let us hang around a bit longer :)
Opher E — Google review
Just had cappuccinos here after a family lunch in the area. Our son and his wife are regulars and now we know why, the coffee is great in a lovely place which also has a selection of pastries. Thank you.
James J — Google review
The cappuccino was good. It was a bit bitter to my taste but it was definitely rich in taste. It was a bit too hot in my opinion though. They have some good options too like toasts, so it can be a good light breakfast option

I had a great experience at this café. The flat white was excellent, and the berry cookie was delicious. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and very helpful. They even recommended a type of coffee bean that we ended up buying. Overall, highly recommended!

Attendant Coffee Roasters is a charming café that stands out among London's vibrant coffee scene. Nestled in a beautifully restored Victorian public restroom, this unique spot offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying ethically sourced coffee and light meals. With multiple locations across the city, this particular café is beloved for its distinctive decor and cozy vibe. Guests rave about the delicious breakfast options like almond milk porridge and avocado toast, complemented by excellent service from friendly staff members who create a welcoming ambiance.
In this wonderful café, I experienced truly special moments. It was here that I realized how deeply proud I am of myself and how much I love this life. I stayed working until closing time, and I could have sat there forever. Nestled with a view of the street, I felt inspired, working on my projects while savoring exquisite coffee and desserts. This place breathes inspiration. It’s set in just the right corner of the city, creating the perfect atmosphere for the right thoughts. I’m so glad I discovered this hidden gem.

First time exploring London and found this really cute place for breakfast. The staff are so lovely and the food was so yummy, I got the Birchers Museli. I also got 4 free stamps towards a free coffee! Would definitely recommend and will be my go-to place when I visit London again
Erin H — Google review
The food is not bad at all, but there are some things that I didn't like too much, such as the peas toast being cold (like, served cold), even though the mashed peas idea is great. The banana bread was really good and tasty!
Borja B — Google review
Excellent coffee and lovely peanut butter cookies. At lunchtime, the selection of wraps can be bought in half sizes. They also serve cooked breakfast but I've not tried it
J C — Google review
almond milk porridge was as good as beautiful! avo on toast with extra poached egg was great too (though at 2£ additional cost I was expecting 2 eggs, not 1 - still, it was poached to perfection, so no complaints). great coffee, great service, nice and quiet ambience at 8am ... definitely a great spot to start the day
Licia C — Google review
Walked in to have a coffee and a sandwich. There was a queue. Walked towards the toilets and I was challenged. Then told the toilet is for customers and not for people sneaking in! In front of a cafe full of customers. Not sure why that was necessary to be perfectly honest.

Great coffee place after shopping for diamonds on Hatton garden. Great ambiance, decor and great coffee. They lost one star because they won’t let us use their loos. So drink coffee and head outside and look for a loo elsewhere 🧐🤨
