The Crispy Pata was great. The menu claimed it was not greasy, and they were absolutely correct. The chop suey was very light and the vegetables seemed very fresh. A nice balance of flavor. The best Chop Suey my partner has had. The garlic rice was "nice and garlicky". The Halo-Halo was the best that we've ever had (coming from a Filipina who has had halo-halo since she was a kid). Seriously try this!

Cozy affordable place for tourist in Puerto Princesa. The place is huge and they have 3 bar counters in total to make the service fast and convenient for their customers. They offer a wide variety of local cuisines and alcohol selections. The price is reasonable and worth it. A prime location within the city. They have a lot of staff to make it easier for the customers to order, guards for protection and sometimes police officers within the vicinity. Nice place to visit and chill in Puerto.

I remember coming here for the first time in 2011 and it was amazing and I absolutely loved it. Came back today and it never disappoints. Food was very very good - I’ll highlight the cashew fried rice as it was unique and I highly recommend it. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Place had nice ambiance, highly recommended if you’re looking for a good Filipino restaurant in Puerto Princesa.

our korean friends enjoyed their food, esp the sinigang! the mango shake was a bit sour for our liking, but it was ok. the fried tofu was underwhelming, but everything else was great. :) loved how chill it was—the ambiance, music, and overall vibe of the place. it's an open area, so it could be quite hot. the servers were nice enough to offer a table in front of the fan. thank you!

Absolutely loved this place! The best pork I've ever had! The servers are very friendly and polite, too. I'll come back next time I visit Palawan.

I have been to this restaurant on a few occasions of recent and one thing that stands out is the poor service, staff seem to forget your order, ask you a couple of times to repeat it and while there are staff standing around they tend to not be too interested in customers. The prices are reasonable the quality on 2 occasions has been good the most recent occasion tonight 30th October it was very poor and on the quality tonight I wouldn’t retry I felt really disappointed to even pay for the food it was so bad and the service lacked will have to find alternative restaurants for future.

This is such a cute little cozy spot. I was not expecting the peacocks and the views. I knew there were a restaurant and we were going for drinks but the other activities were a surprise. Great if you want to relax a bit or bring the kids. There’s a nice play area for them while you sit and watch them. There were so many beautiful flowers we have never seen before. The owners did a great job.

Its just a simple park that specifically points about a bakery at a hill. Yes it is a hill, on top of that, there's a nice view since the location is high up while the wind creates such a cozy vibe. The best time to visit is during the evening where the lights come out portraying a simple and relaxing cozy environment atmosphere. There are different things to do, some few stalls that sell food and some ice creams, etc. At the exit, there's a bakery on which they sell their baked-products and I recommend getting their popular Hopia, which is a popular Filipino-Chinese pastry, known for its flaky crust and sweet or savory filling The park also has statues, memorable figures and most importantly they have peacocks in cages to display them outside. They also have a small playground in which kids can also enjoy the park. Overall, Its a pretty good place I recommend visiting here. 7/10

Try bringing home their famous Hopia which comes in many flavors. There's even a Civet cat coffee available there. Marvel the landscape and mini zoo with beautiful peacocks, too. Entrance is absolutely free.

Great find. Think it is a locale secret. Not much advertised in things to do in town, but such a great family theme park. Enough to see and do to keep entertained for hours. Great for all sorts of coffee and local bakery specialty Hopia

Baker’s Hill in Puerto Princesa City is a charming stop included in the city tour, and the best part is the free entrance. Visitors can stroll around and enjoy its well-kept grounds featuring beautiful flower arrangements in large water containers and even spot elegant peacocks roaming the area. The place also houses a restaurant and a bake shop, making it perfect for both sightseeing and food trips. Don’t miss their freshly baked treats—especially the pianonos and wide variety of hopia, which are popular take-home pasalubong.

Awesome! That's how I describe the area. Will come back to check out their pasalubong center because I was too busy taking dozens of photos of their area. I love their restaurant too! They have a cery friendly, accomodating nad professional stagf who handled all my food request. Ohh I love their food too!!! The nature vibe reminded me of my grandma who just passed away. I guesse she was communicating me through my nature adventure. Commendable service and a place to visit if you happened to stay in PPS for a day or 2 days.

We had brunch at the Happiness Cafe and the food was great. Highly recommend the falafels (we ordered 3 plates of it!) and the pannacota dessert. The chicken shawarma is very flavourful too. Service was fast and friendly staff. The view isn't perfect as not directly overlooking the beach, but the food and vibes (with free games to play) more than make up for it! Highly recommend :)

I think this place has been around for awhile but I really think they have dialed it in. Excellent, filling, middle eastern inspired food. Great, friendly service (shout out to Nicole). Cool atmosphere, not on the beach but close enough to catch the breeze through an open entranceway. Nice rattan lampshades and decorations with local art on the walls. Great hangout spot.

We moved out lunch here- the falafel and humus plate and the fatoush salad were so fresh and delicious. We had two fresh juices and loved them too. Beautiful decor, super friendly staff & swings at the bar. Super fun!

Not the first time we have come to Happiness and had a great time and it won't be the last - we'll literally be coming back tomorrow night for the Organica party! It's such a fun venue and the drinks are awesome and the staff are so friendly and always having fun! We love it here

Happiness Beach Bar serves delicious Mediterranean food, and I had their chicken schnitzel one of the best lunches I’ve had in El Nido! For around ₱400, it’s an amazing deal the food is fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. The place has great vibes too, with a hostel attached where you can meet other travelers. Oh, and they have a hostel dog named Pogi (which means handsome in Filipino) he’s the sweetest! Definitely a must-try when you’re in El Nido!

08/02/2024 Snack. My wife and I shared a Halo Halo (with ice milk). We enjoyed it, but it would have been better with real ice cream. An average snack. Rating first impressions: Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. V Good: Better than I expected. Avg: An everyday meal. Good food. Fair: Below par. Dirty & or flies.

I was hungry and just needed something to eat when I came here. Even though the listed closing time was 8pm, they were starting to close at 7pm and was told it was take out only. There were no vegetarian options, so I asked for the egg and ham, but without the latter. Basically, two egg and cheese sandwiches with fries and a lemon tea. The sandwich were a bit greasy for my liking.

A restaurant which sell many different food fare from western Pizza to local lomi. Ordered a batchoy and found it a little too salty, but the crispy crackle is nice. Price wise is very reasonable(135peso + coke for 50 peso). Recommended!

Great place to eat. Its affordable for anyone. Lots of dishes to choose from. The liempo tastes good for the price. Tuna kinilaw is kinda salty. Staff are friendy and the service is good. Ambiance is okay but its a bit hot when more people came in.

Noki Nocs is a Pinoy Comfort Food place. I love the savory meals and the Halo-halo! A visit in Puerto Princesa is not complete without their creamy Halo-Halo. It is soooo creamy with the shaved milk, and one would have a hard time distinguishing it from the ice cream, if not for the color. Definitely a must try i. PPC. Location is perfect! Near KM0 Puerto Princesa, making it easily accessible.

They served the dessert first, the Sampler A which was the main course second, and the fries last. The fries and mais con yelo were worth their price but only the palabok in the sampler A was tasty.

The best halo halo in Palawan... I ordered sizzling beef so far its OK... The mini silvannas they have is OK also though you almost can't taste its fillings...

It was a bit busy when I went in the afternoon and I decided to try a couple of pastries. It was disorderly when you get to the front of the line. There are nice signs to tell you what the pastries are and for how much they are sold for. It’s everyone fending for themselves, you must get the attention of a worker before someone else pushes past you to get helped first. By the time I got the attention of the worker, she was clearly annoyed when she could tell I was a foreigner and was rushing to get me to order. I quickly pointed to a cookie and she ask “anything else” multiple times. I did end up pointing to another pastry and said that was all. It was fairly cheap at 10 pesos for two pastries. It’s really hard to make a decision on what to get when you don’t know the items and how much they cost. The service wasn’t great. The pastries were mediocre.

Authentic Filipino bakery. Every time I went, the baked goods were fresh straight out of the oven. Try the filled coconut buns for 5 pesos only, so delicious !!

Local bakery, we got a Pandesal, blueberry muffin, sponge cake and other stuff through out our stay in El Nido.

I tried some cakes after seeing a large queue for days. The donut was really good and the brownie bites were a bit dry but for the price, way better than other ones from surrounding coffee shops. I paid 180p.

Fantastic little authentic bakery, selling a wide selection of local and international pastries, cakes and sweat and savoury breads. The local foods are the cheapest with the more international options being a little higher in price, so the prices do vary a bit. However this is totally to be expected as producing a local sweat bread or making a simple ring donut is much cheaper than producing a pain au chocolat for example. Having said that even the higher priced items are still very inexpensive really. It does get a bit chaotic at busy times but this just highlights how popular and how good the bakery is. The staff are super friendly and helpful too and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the different items for sale. This bakery is a great place to grab a breakfast on the go or a sweat treat or snack at any time of day. It's one of the few places in El Nido offering food at local prices and not fleecing tourists like most of the other places in El Nido. I highly recommend this bakery, I went here every day during my stay in El Nido.

The best place in El Nido! The average pastery costs between 3 to 5 pesos !!! The donuts and vanilla buns are heaven! We tried new things everyday and ate about 10 donuts a day. It’s a wonder I didn’t roll out of the island! Heads up, don’t get the banana bread it’s 45 and kind of dry!

The chocolate cake was extremely dry but the donuts are really cheap and good.

I tried the ice cream called Ube, which is made from a fruit I’ve never had before, so it had a unique flavor. The mango ice cream, however, was absolutely delicious. Worth trying!

Gusto Gelato in El Nido is a real treat. I ordered a scoop of vanilla and it was so creamy and flavorful every spoonful was pure delight 🤤. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from so there’s something for everyone. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a must visit on the island for gelato lovers.

This is not Italian-inspired gelato at all – it tastes more like cheap, factory-made ice cream. It’s seriously overpriced at around ₱120 per scoop. The flavours are average at best, and I’ve had better from the supermarket. On top of that, the staff didn’t even fill the cup properly for the three scoops I paid ₱260 for. Really disappointing and not worth coming back!! Stay away from this so called “Gelato” joint!!

We swung by this place a few times and decided to give their gelato and coffee a try. The staff were super friendly and fun. The music they had on are spot on which made our experience better. The prices were pretty fair, but the taste was just average, nothing mind-blowing. Unfortunately, when we went to grab our coffee to go, they were out of lids. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're in the mood for a casual gelato and coffee fix.

Tried this last minute before leaving el nido, as some people say it is a must try, but i think they also have a branch in manila, but to complete the el nido exp, we tried one scoop of white choco and sakted caramel, it tastes like a normal ice cream, for a price of 200 i think its too expensive, well everything is expensive in el nido 😂

Went in for a mamon bun. Food looked tasty and was affordable. However, the worker left a bad taste in my mouth and I left as they were not working and refusing to let customers in by blocking the way in. Watched others have to squeeze around him to look around. As soon as we entered to buy the bun I was looking forward to, this man insulted my partner and I no longer could buy from a bakery that has such service. I sincerely hope this establishment finds workers that are more polite otherwise the food and prices are not worth the visit if it means being treated unkindly. Note: For a bakery personal to call someone buying a food-related good fat despite them not being fat at all is counterproductive to the marketing goal of a bakery.

We ordered a cake and the writing was really disappointing. We accepted from the start that they didn’t have other colors available for the lettering, but the result looked like it was done by a child, completely unacceptable. For something meant to be special, the quality was far below standard. They really need to improve the service and quality they provide to customers, because with this kind of output, it’s hard to trust or come back again.

A cafe I discovered immediately when we arrived in Elnido. The sandwiches and salads we ate were delicious and filling. The filter coffee was very good but they did not have english breakfast tea. Ice cream and lava cakes also very good.

We had ice cream here one night and it was very good. They have only eight flavours, some of which finish sooner than the others. It is a good idea to add a vanilla flavour as it is the base for most ice cream. Also, the cones they use are for single scoop. Serving two scoops on these cones means that the second scoop is put firmly on top of the first, and you have to finish that before tasting the second one. Having cones for two scoops will be much better. Overall, their ice cream is very tasty.

I was supposed to eat at another place but it was closed so ended up at Gusto. Ordered the Pan Seared Fish which was a Little Bit Tough but Delicious! The Halo Halo was Good and is good for 2. Service was Good but Food took some time to Arrive but it was okay as i am not in a Hurry.

Modern cafe with clean asthetic. I had the Croque Madam and Coco Banana Smoothie and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place for coffee and breakfast. May be back for dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great vibes, good music, and an all around awesome spot. Highly recommend!

I was disappointed about how they wrapped my crepe its a Nutella crepe i asked them to wrap since I was already full with the other food I ordered.. its a crepe atleast you have a sealed paper box not just a paper plate and not even sealed.. Felt terrible when I opened it messy and scattered.

Very good Italian coffee in a modern, fan-cooled setting. The cappuccino is well prepared, though the milk quality isn’t the best—not really their fault, as even the “fresh” milk in Palawan has that distinct UHT aftertaste (something I’ve noticed more than once). Prices are on par with Europe or Manila, but then again, Port Barton is generally expensive.

Overall the coffees were good (they have vegetal milk), however the food is not worth the price. We came twice here and tried different things: yogurt granola bowl on the first day, which was quite small; apple porridge was good and the size was a generous one. The worst thing (which was honestly embarrassing) was the eggs with bread, which were LITERALLY, eggs on two pieces of bread. Dry, with no presentation and very small. I can think several ways to improve this at a cheap price honestly, but probably they don’t care. Definitely to improve food and make it worth it for the price, as it is not cheap.

I went to this place last year three times when I was in Port Barton for a few nights, and I was very excited to have coffee there again this time and brought my friend. I am disappointed this time. The person at the cashier welcomed us with a big fake smile. They marked up the prices of their coffee by between 10 to 40 PHP, but they can’t even afford to replace their menus. The vibe there is just not what I experienced last year. I would rather grab coffee at the beach, which is owned by Filipinos and support the locals, than go to this place that feels like a total rip-off and is owned by these Italians. I just feel like it’s not right.

Our favorite place in Port Barton. We went here every day and tried lots of things. But the best order was the platter with cheese & charcuterie. Sooo good! Had it twice! Also tried the gnocchi with gorgonzola, panini with salami, gelato & coffee. Everything was amazing. Also nice vibe & friendly staff. And wifi. 🤗

Easily the best coffee shop in paradise! I drank all my coffee before I remembered to take photos, it's that good! The smell of you cup of coffee the moment it hits the table makes you forget you're in the Philippines (good coffee is hard to come by in the country unfortunately 🫣). Highly recommended as your morning habit before you start your day in Port Barton (Yes! They open early!) And gelato is going to be available tooodaaay!

Wonderful little cafe! With a real Italian charm, the coffee is excellent and the gnocchi are also very tasty. Price a little more expensive than other places but definitely worth visiting. It's worth stopping by just for an espresso. The owner is a really nice woman and you feel directly welcome and well taken care of. The tiramisu is also worth going early for. Highly recommended !

4 stars for now because I didn't get the full Milano café experience. I asked for their recommended drinks and it didn't disappoint. The food (sailor and cheese panini) is also 👍. I was just surprised that we have to take off our slippers/shoes when going inside. 😅 Hoping to come back here soon. ☺️

I highly recommend the s'mores flavor. It was really good. The contrast of soft marshmallow and crunchy graham crackers really takes the cake! The chocolate was just the right sweetness. I usually don't eat ice cream on sticks because it's so messy to eat when they melt but this one doesn't melt so easily! Didn't have any messy or sticky hands at all.

Place is a bit far from national highway. You can ride a tricycle when you want to visit the shop. The shop is also a part of Ala Amid which is an accomodation. The food is good and preferrable for your sweet tooth. Remember to bring a friend or love one with you! Or you can also bring them the savoury desserts and pastries as well.😀

Lunch service was slow and although the food was not exactly spectacular flavor-wise, it was quite filling for the price. Definitely something I'd say had value. Plus the fact that this was one of the few, if not the only, dessert place in the city (not counting the likes of Dunkin Donuts, of course).

The food and drinks are great, it is a good place to do your work online, it's a pretty good place to read your favorite books as well

They need to update their page, since they offer nothing like what is pictured. We went in there expecting a nice bakery with a selection of goods, but at 10:30 in the morning they had virtually nothing to offer. They said that they seriously cut back since COVID, and it's no wonder that all of the reviews are pre-COVID. Don't waste your time going there.

We had a very tasty tomato soup which came with crunchy bread slices and ordered a panini and 2 salads to go which the staff were very accommodating with. Staff are very nice! The prices are reasonable and had a good choice of sandwiches. Shame they don't do an iced decaf coffee but the normal iced coffee was nice. I would recommend :)

Worst and most expensive iced coffee that we have tried in Philippines so far. It was worse even than Seven Eleven and thrice the price. Also the ice cubes were brown (inside, not outside, which means the water they used to make them was brown) so we didn't even finish our coffee. The bread smelled nice but we didn't try so I don't have an opinion on that.

Best hot chocolate in town! This place is awesome for cakes and pastries! The ambiance is very good and cozy. They also have friendly staff and the location is good. Near everything in Puerto Princesa.

Very well and originally decorated bar, within the Vanila Beach area, so it's very easy to get there. The food on offer is quite nice and well presented. One can see obvious attention to detail. However, the 3 stars are because of the extreme slow peace of the people working behind the bar. They are all very nice and polite, but it took them exactly 21 minutes to prepare two crepes, and we were the only ones in the bar. If you are in a hurry, or simply do not have all the time in the world, I wouldn't recommend.

Unfortunately, the worst coffee i've had in el nido yet and the most expensive. The mocha just tastes like watery hot chocolate. If there is espresso in it, its very little. The cup was underfilled too by quite a bit. The staff were like turtles. We were the only 2 people there and it still took 3 of them ages to make our drinks.

The hammocks, the music, the service, and especially the food were 10/10!! The concepts were on point here, how they design the place is very sleek and elegant. The coffee frappe was exactly what we were craving on a hot day! This honestly should be one of your designated stops in Elnido! I found this hidden gem at the entrance arena of La Cabanas Beach. Their interior actually attracted me. So after after watching the sunset, i stepped in and grabbed a coffee. Their music taste is cool, were playing slow songs from 80s. Like the name, you can spent some lazy time here.

The first time we passed by we tried they’re ube mango ice cream and it was really good. So we decided to come back the next day to try they’re food and coffee and i think its one of the best in El Nido!

One of the most aesthetic cafe I’ve been to. They have cute hammocks which you can use while enjoying your crepe or coffee. The ambiance is relaxing and peaceful. We ordered the ube crepe and caramel graham and both are to die for. It’s obvious that they used quality ingredients and prepared the food meticulously. The staff are also very friendly. We dined near their closing time but they still entertained us. Will go back again

This has got to be one of the best cafes I've ever visited in the country. First off, the staffs are incredibly friendly and fun. You can tell that they love their job. Eating there feels like staying at your friend's flat. About the food, they're awesome. I like that they prepare your food right in front of you, in our case, it's pasta and crepe. You can watch them make your order from scratch and not from frozen ingredients. We got chicken pesto and oh my, it was terrific! We also had their affagatto and they even gave us a free taste of their in house soft-served ube and mango ice cream which is fantastic. Since we enjoyed our visit there, we came back with our friends 10 mins before their closing time and still, and they let us in. We had good time there. Highly recommended!

Ordered the blueberry and the pineapple/basil icecream and was pleasantly surprised with the Pineapple and basil one. It was so refreshing yet also punchy in flavour. When you get a cone it's a little extra.

Best Coconut Ice Cream

I'm a bit late with my review but their homemade gelato slaps! I loved their Raspberry and Vanilla! Price is totally justified for the quality and quantity because I've tried other places offering gelato here in Palawan(El Nido & PPC), but they are more expensive and provide less. Having real gelato by the beach just makes the experience even better!

After dinner and a stroll along the beach in Lio we were looking for something sweet and came across D’Factory in Lio Estate, El Nido. Their ice cream was smooth, it had a more sherbet bite, which made it less intense. So good and refreshing coming in from the heat. The crepes are made on the spot. Light but filling. It’s a nice spot in Lio to cap off a meal or to simply indulge when the sweet cravings hit. With its relaxed vibe and good selection of desserts, D’Factory is worth stopping by if you are in the area and have a sweet tooth.
