Restaurant
Nestled in Capitola, Shadowbrook Restaurant is a renowned dining spot offering a unique experience. Housed in a restored 1920s-era summer home log cabin, the restaurant boasts quirky dining rooms and picturesque views of Soquel Creek. Owned by Ted Burke and Bob Munsey, it stands out as one of the most distinctive dining destinations in the American West. The restaurant has garnered national acclaim and various awards for its California cuisine and extensive wine list.
Shadowbrook is such a unique and beautiful place, the atmosphere alone makes it worth the visit. Our server, Andrew, was fantastic. He had a great personality, was attentive without being over the top, and really made the whole evening smooth and enjoyable. We tried the Salad Special, Salmon Cakes, Grilled Salmon, and the Butcher’s Filet. Everything was delicious. The salad was super fresh and flavorful, the salmon cakes had a nice crisp with a rich taste, and both main dishes were cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and full of flavor, and the salmon was spot-on with a buttery sauce that tied everything together. Overall, it was a great experience, amazing setting, great food, and excellent service. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.

Shelly was our server (the kindest woman) for the best birthday dinner I’ve ever had. Shadowbrook is so unique and sometimes with a restaurant with that type of appeal, you worry if the food is going to be good or not. Let me tell you, the food was phenomenal. They make everything in-house. We had the clam chowder- so good. Bacon wrapped prawns were so fresh, I wish they came in a 20 piece option haha. The blackened prime rib and all of the sides were so tasty and cooked to perfection. Their dessert selection is awesome too. It was my first time here as a surprise birthday dinner, but I told my boyfriend I just want to keep coming back here every year for my birthday. If you care about cute, instagrammable fancy drinks— this is not the place. They make classic cocktails in just classic glasses but the drinks are solid. Thank you Shelly for singing me the most wonderful Happy Birthday! She also took a picture of us, printed it out and it comes with a free digital download on their website.

A restaurant that lives up to its reputation by giving us just the first impression. It was our first visit with my husband and family from New York who requested to dine here after watched from YouTube. This restaurant is a landmark in Capitola, very popular for romantic dinner and special occasions. I was not expecting anything in the first place, but then the ambiance, the interiors and exteriors of the building, the scenery, the service as we stepped in to the end of the dinner, the quality of the food, and the reasonable prices truly surprisingly affordable, everything was amazing. Everyone loved the food, we even talked about it afterwards. I want to highlight my main course: Honey glazed bone-in pork chop with sweet potato puree, roasted brussels, it was tender and flavorful, with the right amount of sweet and savory, a must have meat entrée. My dessert was Jack Daniel's Mud Pie, Marianne's coffee crunch ice cream with whisky chocolate sauce, to me, it was a perfect ending of a dinner. Next time when we are going to Capitola, Santa Cruz or Monterey, I definitely would book ahead to let ourselves dine in this remarkable restaurant again.

James provided exceptional service to us at Shadowbrook! We stared with cocktails and the calamari. For dinner I had the shrimp scampi and my spouse enjoyed the filet with vegetables. We had some wine with dinner and finished up the night with the chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream. The vibe to the restaurant was amazing and I recommend taking the gondola down to the restaurant. My one suggestion would be for the restaurant to have a wider wine by the glass selection. Be prepared to spend $50+ a person, and to have an incredible evening! Will definitely be back again.
Janelle S — Google review
This restaurant was such an amazing experience for my family and me. From the taxi cabs to the tram ride down to the restaurant or the scenic walk down the stairs, it was all magical. We decided to sit on the outside patio instead of the main dining room so we could enjoy food from both menus, and it was the perfect choice. Our server Robert was wonderful, friendly, patient, and really wanted us to have the best experience for our first visit and my husband’s birthday. He made our evening even more special. Everyone we met was kind and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious. The kids menu was impressive with plenty of great options even for picky eaters. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price. Overall, it was an incredible experience with beautiful views, fantastic food, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to the Santa Cruise area!

A lovely restaurant, just a 10 min walk from downtown (it is uphill). We had Roasted Brussels sprouts, salmon, and Shrimp Mac and Cheese. It was all very tasty, and quite filling. Service is exemplary. There is a dress code, however business casual is perfectly fine. We ate on the outside deck which didn't require a reservation. The grounds are forest like, overlooking the river, and just beautiful. A real treat. A small Funicular takes you from street level to the restaurant.
Sandra V — Google review
My husband and I spent our one year wedding anniversary at this restaurant, and it was such a beautiful experience. Taking the tram down to the restaurant was such a unique touch. Every member of the staff was kind and welcoming, and our server Eli went above and beyond to make us feel special. The food was absolutely amazing. My salmon was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Pacific Rim Salmon, and the flavor combination was perfect. My husband is vegan, and his diet was easily accommodated. He absolutely loved his meal. He got the vegetable medley. We will definitely be back and will be requesting Eli as our server again.
Milena S — Google review
Gorgeous gorgeous venue, a little tight on parking, cool to ride the gondola thing. A more relax attire is fine, as is dressing up. I would’ve expected better service, so I’m disappointed on that front. My lobster was overcooked and a bit chewy bc of it which was also a surprise since it has great reviews. My date’s steak and gnocchi were good, and the margarita was huge. Tuna poke was more of a ceviche situation Cute to do once but wouldn’t really do it again.

Located on Soquel Avenue in Santa Cruz, The Buttery is a bustling bakery known for its breads, pastries, and custom cakes. The bakery offers a variety of breakfast options, sandwiches, and salads. Visitors can enjoy their buttery treats such as the popular chocolate croissant and bear claw along with an espresso at the outdoor patio seating area.
Large amount of bakery items to choose from and numerous hot breakfast options to choose from as well. There is an outside eating area. The staff was super polite and made sure my first experience there was the best. I ordered the bacon burrito and it came with delicious hot salsa. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.
Kyra A — Google review
The croissant should be called crescent-shaped soft bun. Ham tasted metallic and clumpy. They ran out of iced coffee by mid morning. Offered iced Americano but charged the higher espresso price. Then made the order wrong, hot not iced. Just get hot coffee. Mocha is too sweet.
Eva A — Google review
Just wow! The staff is so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The selection of pies and pastries is endless. The apple pie I bought for my son for his birthday is almost too beautiful to eat! They have some nice seating inside and a great patio for outside seating. It looks like dogs are welcome on the patio. Definitely a place to try if you haven’t yet.

Highly recommend The Buttery for your wedding cake! We live down the street from The Buttery so when they were recommended to us by our wedding planner it felt like a perfect coincidence and a fun personal touch to have a local vendor despite our getting married in Carmel Valley. The chiffon marrionberry flavor was a hit and the entire process to order was super seamless. They offer a tasting tray for pickup so we were able to decide which flavor we liked best. Pricing was great, highly responsive communication, and they were able to deliver to our venue on the wedding day no problem. Thank you again to the Buttery!

I was introduced to this place by my former manager. Whenever I'm in the area I have to make a pit stop here. Service is quick, there are multiple cashiers. The place can get pretty packed. There is a decent sized dine in area. Don't expect nice decore or instagram-able ambiance, you're there for the food and that's all that matters. If you want to make sure all the flavors are available, I'd suggest going earlier if it's a weekend. The price is average and reasonable. One of THE BEST carrot cake cupcakes! And I honestly could not care less about carrot cake flavor, but this one blew my mind. Oh my gosh my mouth is watering just thinking about it lol. My husband and I tried their tiramisu and some other cupcake options and all are literally SO good. The dangerous part is they're not too sweet (best Asian dessert compliment btw lol). Just the right amount of creaminess, and the flavors are spot on. They're consistent with the quality of their products. I haven't tried their savory foods so I don't have any pointers on that. Bottom line: Will always make a pit stop here!

I was seriously craving a breakfast burrito, and this place delivered exactly what I had in mind—it was perfect! So many delicious options on the menu, I just wish I lived closer so I could try them all. The chai latte was also amazing, and the staff was friendly. Such a great find!

Great place to stop as we trekked north up the coast on CA 1. The weather was perfect for a late afternoon cupcake at the outdoor seating area and two chocolate chip/walnut cookies for the road. The service was top notch.

Gayle's Bakery & Rosticceria is a beloved spot for both locals and visitors, offering an extensive menu of sandwiches, salads, and housemade baked goods. From delectable pastries to satisfying deli sandwiches and breakfast options, this bakery has something for everyone. The signature cakes like blackberry bramble and salted caramel cake are not to be missed. With a cozy patio featuring live music and a warm ambiance, it's the perfect place to indulge in their delicious treats.
Beautiful Lunch and Bakery! A unique gem of Capitola. Come for their delicious lunch/ deli food and also try their cakes and pastries. Service is efficient and outstanding. They can help you with all their food choices. Good variety of salads, sandwiches, hot food, and more. They also have a cafe for more choices. Nice dinning area on a beautiful day. Come back to try many of their other dishes and sweets. Parking can be challenging. If you want a healthy fresh lunch, don't miss this place.

This is a larger bakery with lots of options to choose from. As a matter of fact it's more than a bakery, it's an experience. We stopped in after reading all the great reviews. A local favorite is their Brookie, a brownie / chocolate chip cookie. However, we loved the strawberry shortcake cookie (which is a lot like a scone). They are truly wonderful. It can get a little crazy, so keep that in mind if you're in a rush. They have tried to figure out a way to help everyone with their number system, but the success depends on us the customers. Have patience and enjoy the experience.

Absolutely delighted with every visit to Gayle’s Bakery & Rosticceria! From the moment you step inside, the aroma of fresh-baked bread and roasted meats sets the mood for a fantastic meal. Their breads are crusty and flavorful, pastries buttery perfection, and the rotisserie chicken juicy and perfectly seasoned. The staff are always friendly and efficient, even when the place is bustling. Speaking of busy—Gayle’s is an amazing spot for Sunday brunch, though be prepared for a crowd; it’s clearly a local favorite for good reason! Even with the wait, everything is fresh and the experience is worth it. Five stars—deservedly so!

The best bakery in the Santa Cruz area! It’s been a family favorite and tradition since I was a baby, and have been continuing to go as an adult when visiting friends and family. Food options and quality, service, and quaint ambience/atmosphere is outstanding. Wide variety of fresh, real, and organic options! They have a covered patio area with additional seating as well. Favorite bakery items- kouign-amann, fruit tarts, and the swedish princess cake. The latter was made for one of my birthdays, but I used to order them more frequently than I probably should’ve haha! They are the best!

Big yum. Becomes less crowded around 11am. Only 10 minute wait on a wednesday and all products were still available with new ones coming fresh out the kitchen. Impressively affordable for high quality food and service. 10/10 will eat again 🤤

Gayle’s bakery is the perfect little place to stop by after enjoying the Santa Cruz boardwalk. The parking lot is a little cramped for the size of the place, which is huge inside. When you enter, make sure to get a ticket near the entrance. Keep an eye out for your number to be called, since the place can get overwhelming. The cases have lots of repeated goodies so you can find a place along the cases and keep looking from there. I really enjoyed the Java Freeze from the coffee bar. I also liked the ham croissant, the marionberry turnover was pretty solid, and the ham and cheese croissant was also good. There is plenty of seating and also a hot food section, which I didnt try this time. I will be back another time for sure!
Avantika N — Google review
We got pastries. Ecclairs with custard, which are delicious, and a croissant, which was tasty. We haven't tried the Napoleon and the Croissant with chocolate yet. Even though the place was innondated with people, service was extremely fast. We only got the pastries to go. There is room to have lunch and have your dessert if you choose to. Parking is available in the back. Restroom is also available.
Lilian G — Google review
Heard great things about this place and it didn't disappoint. We ordered a little bit of everything just to give it a try. All the baked goods are definitely where they shine, but the food there is great too! The service is quick considering how busy it is and the staff are friendly. we'll definitely come back when visiting Capitola.

Stopped here to charge our hybrid vehicle and so glad we did! What an awesome store. There were decor plants and veggies. The choices inside were healthy, the food bar smelled way too good, and the staff was super nice.

You need more Hippo Harvest produce! I can't eat locally grown produce because of the contamination from the Moss Landing battery fire. You ran out of Hippo Harvest weeks ago, and it's one of the few vegetables I can buy from SOL. Additionally, the cashiers have stopped assisting customers with bagging their groceries.

Good quality, good variety, and friendly people (both customers and staff). Don't usually buy food that's made in store, but someone recommended the chick peas and green beans. Both were awesome. Great flavor. Thanks Staff of Life.

Thank you for sharing your products on social networks, since this way you are aware of all your offers and prices. What I love about Staff of life is that it's a nice healthy extension of my home. Where I find everything healthy I need for my home, they have every product you can think of. And if you want to have a nice time, the outdoor cafe is another option in the market. And the most important thing is the store staff. Customer service is reflected with the human quality that Nina shows, always attentive and always with a smile, thank you very much for all the attention.

The GOAT 🐐 grocery in Santa Cruz. Always an experience and true to expectations of a natural driver with excellent produce, bulk goods, meats, fish and cheeses! Never mind their extensive selection of tangerines, mushrooms, esoteric drinks, and a hot food bar. Yum 😋

I cannot believe that this business who's been around for over 40 years, Will have its last day Christmas Eve this year 2024. What a loss for sure! But congratulations for your retirement. So sad that we couldn't find any good people to take over your business and keep sharing the chocolate love!

I happened upon them by accident, trying to find another business in the same complex. It had been a really difficult day and I ran into the owners (?) who helped me find where I was going. They were so incredibly kind and brought me out a box of their English toffee to brighten my day. When I say this was the best toffee I have had it is an understatement!! What an incredible and delicious product. Additionally the two gentlemen who helped me were incredibly kind. Highly recommend!

This is the very best chocolate I have ever had. It is so fresh and handmade, you will be amazed at the texture and pure chocolate flavor. It is so clean and yummy. The service is excellent. And you can see the process through all the glass. The service is top notch. They explained the factory and gave samples. Yum! This is full blown working chocolate factory. Your kids will love it but the food is the main thing. Oh, check out the shaped chocolates. They make great gifts. Everyone at my office loves these. Prices are excellent.

Came for a specific item that they don't have anymore (chocolate covered strawberries). Ended up leaving with 4 different things. Vanilla truffles were okay, sea salt caramel was soft and yummy, toffee was amazing, and the turtles were iffy (caramel was hard). Price wasn't too expensive. Cute store and items though

Marianne's Ice Cream, a beloved local establishment since 1947, offers over 100 flavors of hand-crafted ice cream, including unique options like German chocolate, Mexican chocolate, and Northern Oregon blackberry. In addition to classic favorites such as vanilla bean and chocolate, they also feature specialties like lavender honey and salted caramel. With locations in Santa Cruz and Aptos, Marianne's is a must-visit for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic taste of the area.
Stopped by here yesterday on my way back to San Jose after a day spent in Santa Cruz, just like I have so many times before. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I have so many good memories with friends and family stopping by here. They have so many flavors of ice cream, there is sure to be something for everyone! Yesterday I got the Northern Oregon Blackberry flavor in a waffle cone and it was delicious. It was a little busy, but that’s expected almost every time I come here. It’s a popular spot for a reason. They have a ticketing system so you can just grab a ticket at the door and then wait for your number to be called instead of having to wait in line. The parking lot is pretty small and doesn’t hold more than 10 cars, but there is usually parking on the street.

Had to try out this ice cream parlor, rated it as 4.8 over a couple thousand reviews, meant that it's probably a "top gun" ice cream parlor. And, you know what? It is a "top gun" ice cream parlor! I had my go to praline and cream to compare to others that I've had at different locations of various different ice cream parlors. This penalizing all American dessert drop the bomb directly on target, fired a full load of ammo taking out all competitions, tasted fresh, creamy with all the nuggets crunching just so nicely. After finishing my single, I had to go back and get another single scoop ,dang it! in other words, I had to rinse and repeat, my pallet that is, lol. Bon appétit and enjoy this ice cream parlor if you ever get the chance… Edit: It's the bomb! absolutely the best, I had to come back for seconds on the following day, yummy Yum Yum… Second time around I had the cinnamon caramel along with the coffee crunch. Between the two flavors both excellent, the coffee crunch came out on top, how do you recommended.

What an experience! quick tip for first timers, the crowd out thr door is not a line! pull a ticket from thr machine near the front door and listen for your number! so many flavors and even on a busy Sunday evening they let me try 4 flavors! If you're on the hunt for a delightful gluten-free experience, look no further than In The Breadbox. This charming bakery boasts a completely gluten-free kitchen, ensuring that every treat is safe from cross-contamination. From mouthwatering muffins and cakes to delectable donuts, everything is baked fresh daily. But it doesn't stop there; they also whip up savory delights like breads, pizzas, and rolls available for both retail and wholesale.
It was a pleasure working with Jenn and having In The Breadbox deliver a gorgeous mother's day cake. The process was easy and Jenn was able to accommodate a last-minute request, for which I was super thankful. I went to their website, browsed their many delicious options, and checked out via Paypal. Jenn and her team followed up with emails to nail down the specifics, and on the day of the delivery they sent a confirmation email to make sure someone will be home to receive the cake. We heard that the cake was delicious (and beautiful!). Thank you guys!

Was excited to try a new place while visiting in town. Hours on website showed they opened at 8-I was there at 8:49 they weren't open, no one baking or in there at all and you can see inside the whole place and they had 1/4 of the case filled with baked goods probably from yesterday. I'm bummed another business won't work out with that type of work ethic and lack of presence. Especially a gluten free business which I'd love to support and bring business to.
Michelle G — Google review
I want so badly to love this place. The one thing I've eaten here, a breakfast sandwich, was really good (thus 2 stars instead of 1). Unfortunately, all three times I've gone in or called (twice and once, respectively), they've been out of stock of almost everything I was interested in ordering. The people I've spoken with each time also don't typically know what's currently available; they have to rummage through the fridge/shelves and find stuff. Most recently, I found out they don't do sandwiches anymore, even though the website still lists them. Up-to-date inventory management does not seem to be a priority here. This place may be great if you're ordering something for a future date. I don't know; I haven't done that. As an option for ordering to-go/takeout, I've experienced repeated disappointment with this business.

Went our of our way to have breakfast here during the posted hours on the website, and the placed was closed. Also, it appeared that no one was baking . If you go here , call first as the posted hours appear to be unreliable.

Stopped by 2 times. Closed. Called, no one answers the phone. Finally caught them open this week, went in, staff was baking, lights were off and there was literally no products to be sole. Not a good way to run a business.
Darline S — Google review
Hours stated they should be open at 10am, arrived at 11am and they were closed.

It said in there website that they open 7:00 so I went around 8 and they were still close.

Small but in the center of downtown Capitola. Great place for a quick tasty delicious quick breakfast or lunch. Mornings are not crowded; afternoons the place is packed with ice cream seekers . Lunch again is tasty and inexpensive. Servers are courteous. Only a few inside tables

Dairy Queen is a fast-food chain known for its delectable soft-serve ice cream and signature shakes. The menu offers classic burgers and fries, making it a go-to spot for satisfying cravings. It was fortunate to witness the exceptional service on a Saturday night, feeling truly blessed by the experience. Tears of happiness almost welled up as they had missed the previous night's cutoff time. However, the staff went above and beyond in accommodating the last order with kindness and efficiency.
I had the banana split with two scoops of chocolate ice cream... one scoop of vanilla and hot fudge...oh my God it was so good !!! My guy had a chocolate milkshake...he said it was delicious and very chocolatey
Pam S — Google review
I was lucky enough to be the last order on a Saturday night and I felt absolutely truly blessed. I was practically in tears from jubilation - we had stopped there the night before and missed that crucial cutoff time and we're just hopping to make it in! - The food was amazing - everyone that was working that night was so kind and so awesome about letting us be that last order. The service here is unparalleled in my experience. I think everyone here deserves the biggest raise. DQ needs more places like this - easy 5 stars.
Michael H — Google review
I’m giving this Dairy Queen one star because it’s easily the most expensive one I’ve ever been to, charging extra just because of the location. What really frustrates me is paying for a Blizzard with extra candy and a topping, only to get the same small amount as a regular order, a tiny pump of topping, and none of it mixed in. The first few bites have everything, then the rest is just plain ice cream. For these prices, customers should get what they’re paying for. The food itself tastes fine, but the value and effort aren’t there. Also, the “under new management” signs have been out front for months, at this point it just feels like an excuse, not an improvement.
Jonathan ( — Google review
Kayla, the drive thru window cashier, was so nice and so helpful. Great food and even better service. Kayla deserves a promotion. She is a great multitasker, it was really impressive. The staff here are super friendly.
Elder O — Google review
We normally love the DQ, but today the drinks were almost 90% ice, very little beverage, and the fries had a bad oil flavor - almost fishy. Please change your oil more frequently - it was yucky - we threw them away.
Alison P — Google review
Everything was awesome! Haven’t been to a DQ in a few years. Quality of food was great. Ranch a little salty, but everything else gets an A++. 5:30pm. 8/11
Walker F — Google review
The Capitola location provides generous portions of food that is always fresh and hot. You can't beat their $7 meal deal available on the app, which includes a burger, fries, and a sundae for such a low price. Additionally, the service is excellent. I would give them five stars!
Alyx R — Google review
One of my favorite places to stop for a quick bite. Their $7 box combo that comes with the sundae and the soda is an amazing value.

Cute gluten-free bakery in Santa Cruz, and I must say the most authentic taste and gluten-free doughnut. I tried the coconut and it was really neck an neck to an original old-fashioned donut!
Mariah C — Google review
Stopped here for lunch on our way to Watsonville after finding it on the Find Me Gluten Free app which gave it high reviews. Not sure if they have a consistency problem and we came on the wrong day or if this is normal. We really wanted to like the food and don't want to bash anyone trying to do gf but we were so disappointed. I've been baking for my gf spouse for 30 years now so I know it's challenging. We each ordered a sandwich and then got two pastries and coffee. Was a little disappointed that the sandwiches aren't made fresh on real bread but reserved judgement for when we ate the premade ones that were in the heated display case. The "sandwich" was made with some sort of puff pastry but was very extremely dry and crunchy. My jaw literally ached after eating it. The meat and cheese had great flavor but again the pastry ruined the sandwich. An hour later we tried the almond croissant. Same problem, the pastry was super dry and crunchy but the filling was delicious. I will say their coffee was excellent wished I had gotten the large! It was a lot to pay for gf food of this quality.

This place is fantastic! As somebody who has been gluten free for about 2 years now, I have visited a number of restaurants and bakeries that claim to cater to the gluten-free crowd. This is the best tasting bakery I have encountered. In addition, the staff took the time to talk to us and to the other customers about what would meet our needs both in store and for baking at home. It is too bad we live too far away to go once because it would become my new home away from home. I love it!
Mary D — Google review
Found through the “Find Me Gluten Free” app — love this gem of a bakery in Santa Cruz. The team here was very kind — appreciated the samples of the cinnamon roll and brownie available to visitors. The hot sandwich options were a lovely surprise — tried the Turkey with havarti and the vegan veggie (contradictory selections for sure). Also grabbed some puff pastry goodies (bear claw, chocolate croissant, and morning glory muffin). The team member recommended some of the vegan versions of these selections — it was a welcome perspective. Overall, the creations are delicious — very surprised by the crunchy outside texture and the chewy/moist centers. The brownies were a bit too dense for my taste and the cinnamon roll a bit too chewy, but it is definitely worth the visit. Prices felt a bit high, but understand that cost to create gluten free treats is rising — just don’t expect this to be an inexpensive outing.
A C — Google review
A fantastic small gluten free and celiac friendly bakery owned locally! They offer a wide range of products, including cinnamon buns, bread, doughnuts, croissants and more, with pre-made mixes and cute gifts as well. The staff are always friendly and understand the questions you may have regarding their baking process and any allergy concerns you have. The prices are comparable to a standard bakery but without the headache of gluten.
Robert W — Google review
This place is amazing! To have a place to eat without the usual Celiacs worry is one thing, but to have the treats be top notch and the staff and atmosphere so friendly makes this place exceptional! Don’t miss it!!

I can’t say enough about this gem near the coast .. My absolute favorite Gluten-Free bakery with Vegan options as well. They have limited hours and are popular, so go early to ensure you get your pick of all the sweet and savory treats! The maple doughnut and ham and cheese croissant are a must! These folks work so hard-tip them well!!!
Claire B — Google review
I’m not sure why it took me this long to find Melinda's. Even though I changed to gluten free not long ago (to improve some health issues), I love bakeries of all sorts and I'm always open to trying new and different flavors, so I was delighted to find this gem. Not only the bakery is super cute but their goodies are delicious. Not the weird, pale, and often soggy gluten free stuff you find around. I tried their croissants (ham & cheese, chocolate, plain), monkey bread and havarti/Turkey pastry sandwich. Everything was yummy. I got there a little after noon and a lot of things were sold out, which shows how people like their pastries. I will certainly come earlier next time because there's plenty of things I want to try. I'm more of a savory gal but I will try the sweet stuff too. Service was super friendly and patient. It was my first time there so I was asking a lot of questions and they were amazing telling me about all the options. I super happy to have found Melinda's since it turned out to be pretty challenging to find yummy gluten free baked items in the area. I'm sure I will become a regular.

Baskin-Robbins is a vibrant ice cream parlor chain renowned for its wide variety of flavors, including sorbet and yogurt. This popular establishment, reminiscent of childhood nostalgia, now offers an array of delectable options like Caramel Macchiato and Chocolate Oreo Cookies and Cream. Located conveniently close to the beautiful beaches on the East Side during scorching summer days, this particular Baskin-Robbins boasts a friendly and attentive staff.

Just ordered a fudge cake from hereon UberEats. This is a 33$ item that my driver said they couldn’t decorate with whip cream and cherries cream because it didn’t fit it in the box. Just put some cream and cherries in a separate containerr, guys. I really would’ve appreciated it

Basically the same old Baskin Robbins we have all grown up loving, but this location has nice staff, it's not too far from the East Side beaches on a hot summer day, and they have added some new flavors like the Caramel Macchiato and Chocolate Oreo Cookies and Cream that are delicious.
Matt O — Google review
I ordered an ice cream cake 2 weeks ago to pick up today (Sat. May 17th) for my Daughter’s birthday party. The only girl working there had no idea we had 5 other orders ready, but had no idea I had even ordered a cake until I showed her my order confirmation, which she said wasn't for today, but for May 17th (which is today). She said she would make it but it would take around 2 hours, which wasn't possible as we had to be at the party we had planned. So we had to pick from what they had ready at the store. My daughter picked a cake that costed slightly more than what we had ordered, though it wasn't nearly as nice as what we paid for. Adter calling her manager, she refused to match the price of what we had ordered, or even give us the slightest discount for their obvious error, which left me no choice but to pay the difference for the cake we were forced to buy instead, and she was pretty rude to us on top of that. I will not be going back to Baskin Robbins again, and though I was bummed to hear that they are closing down most of their locations, it isn't hard to see why their business is failing. They don't deserve to operate with the way they treat their customers. Now I think they are getting what they deserve by slowly going out of business. Good riddance.
Ben W — Google review
Ordered a birthday cake online. Cake wasn’t ready, order wasn’t received by the store or was lost. No cake for our party. They said we could pick one from the case but they were the same 2 flavors. Owner is never around to handle these things. High school kids run this place. They are clueless. Nothing was done to rectify the situation or apologize. No gift card or anything. They just don’t care.
Ann P — Google review
Just couple of tables in a small shop, right in the middle of parking lot with no outdoor seating and with loud service person, treating every customer like a kid would be treated in an icecream shop. And, no waffle cups, but only cones.

Yogurtland Capitola is a delightful spot for frozen yogurt enthusiasts, offering a modern and inviting atmosphere. This local chain features self-serve machines with an impressive selection of six delicious flavors, including favorites like chocolate and tart vanilla. Guests can customize their froyo with a variety of toppings, from fruity boba to crunchy Oreo pieces. The cleanliness of the shop adds to the overall pleasant experience, complemented by friendly staff who are always ready to assist.
I love yogurt land. I came here today and got an aray of flavors including chocolate and tart vanilla plus toppings like strawberry boba and oreo pieces.Yovurt was very yummy Customer service is good.
Elizabeth I — Google review
We decided to go here for a refreshing cup of frozen yogurt, however at 73 cents an ounce it certainly adds up. For five people at their smallest cup size (there is only large and x-large) it certainly adds up to close to $50 for frozen yogurt. I appreciate the variety of flavors and the variety of toppings, including fresh fruit. I wish that they had chocolate covered raisins as a topping. This is a nice alternative to ice cream, but it certainly can get very pricey.
Dorena G — Google review
I'm so happy to have finally realized there is another frozen yogurt shop nearby! This one is clean and all the machines work offering six different flavors of yummy froyo and there are many topping options!
Veronica Z — Google review
I’ve been a regular customer at Yogurtland and always loved stopping by for a sweet treat — everything usually tastes great. But unfortunately, after a recent visit, my husband and I both became severely ill. We went in for a late evening treat and both had the chocolate yogurt. It was the only thing we ate in common that day. Later that night, we both woke up with intense symptoms — shaking, vomiting, severe shortness of breath, and weakness. I couldn’t even get out of bed the next day, and we’re both still recovering with body aches and fatigue. We’re normally pretty resilient, but this hit us hard and at the same time, which leads us to believe something may have been off — possibly with the yogurt machines. We sincerely hope extra care is taken with cleaning and sanitizing, especially with dairy-based options. I say this not to be harsh, but to help prevent this from happening to anyone else. After this experience, I don’t feel safe coming back, which is really disappointing after being a loyal customer.
Elmira C — Google review
I bought my usual cup of yogurtland, which usually comes out to be 4-7 dollars. Same flavors. Same toppings. A whopping $12.40. Absolutely unbelievable. I asked the re weigh it and they did, which made it $11.50. I could not believe what I was hearing. I didn’t eat a single bite of it till getting home and weighing it myself. After doing the math of their price per oz it came out to be that I should have only payed $6.12. How rude. The lady even had the audacity to say I had “a lot of cookies” in my cup as if to say I didn’t need them. Worst yogurtland experience ever.
Finn P — Google review
Have never had anything but a lovely experience eating at this yogurtland. To the second to last review, I recommend taking a covid test next time. Good luck and don’t forget to stop at yogurtland in Capitola for some great froyo.
