Pastry shop
Tibias De Braga is a renowned dessert spot located near the Arco da Porta Nova in Braga. The pastry shop offers a delightful treat called Tibias, named after their tibia bone shape and filled with various flavors like chocolate and strawberry. Visitors are encouraged to savor these sweet delights alongside a cup of coffee within the charming ambiance of the shop.
Charming pastry shop, great atmosphere. After walking through the street, we come back here and take a rest inside the shop for 10 minutes, grab their pastries, to eat while driving to another place. We all love it, very delicious.
Daud — Google review
A great spot with affordable and delicious pastries. I tried some of Braga’s traditional treats, including Tibias de Braga, Fidalguinhos, and Abade Priscos Pudding. However, a note for vegetarians: while it’s a dessert, the Abade Priscos Pudding is actually made with bacon and eggs, so keep that in mind.
Buse D — Google review
Modern pastry shop/bakery with the most famous sweets from Braga and all of the traditional ones as well. Right at the famous arch of the old Braga downtown (Arco da Porta Nova) this bakery has a modern twist of the traditional sweets you have in northern Portugal. The most famous one and that gives this bakery it's name are "Tíbias de Braga", you have the plain ones with a simple egg custard and the modern ones with different toppings and fillings. If you go there, it's also advised to taste the other pastries like the traditional Portuguese croissant (brioche style), biscuits and cakes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Samuel V — Google review
Having been living in Braga for a little over two years, I was always skipped this place since it's too close to the touristy area but I was pleasantly surprised that many locals are frequenting this place. For a good reason! I've been coming for a few times trying different pastries and I haven't had anything bad. Actually, I had the best croissant I've ever had in my life here, and it was a near religious experience. Every time I order, everything always comes quickly including during busier lunch time. Service is friendly and great overall. The cafe itself is in a historical building and the ambience is just very nice. The toilet was clean also. Definitely recommend!
Febriana — Google review
I had a coffee break here with very good pastries.
N B — Google review
Astonishing regional sweets. Really inexpensive and a great price to taste ratio. Went to this place at least three times on my visit to Braga. The service is professional and will take good care of what you ask as well as provide good and truthful insights if you ask for their opinion on what to try.
Henrique N — Google review
Ig: @oursceneos A cozy spot to enjoy delightful sweets, crafted with exceptional care and flavor. While the service is satisfactory, there’s room for improvement to match the quality of the desserts. The space may be small, but it creates an intimate and charming atmosphere that enhances the experience. Truly a must-visit for dessert lovers!
Our S — Google review
They have different flavours! But i had to go with the classic... The balance of the cream and pastry was just right. Not too heavy and not too sweet. Better than i anticipated!

Ice cream shop
Amazing place in Esposende, the best ice cream shop in town. The food is great, the staff is lovely, my daughter loves them. Always a warm experience to go there and eat. Ice cream flavors are homemade and the availability changes frequently, so please check the ice cream counter for available flavors.
João V — Google review
Very delicious ice cream and crêpe. They never disappoint, we are able to choose the ingredients we want to add to our crêpe or waffles. The space is cozy, if you stay outside it's possible to enjoy a nice view to the river.
Filipa N — Google review
This place may not seem like they sell good ice cream, notably because of the ball spoons who announce an unprofessionalism in the waiters, or maybe because they wash the spoons in water, which may alter the texture of the ice cream, but this place does indeed serve good product. Their ice cream is of good quality. Although service leaves to be desired, it is not bad in any way. If you are in search of somewhere calm to enjoy good quality ice cream in Esposende, this is the place to go.
Ice R — Google review
Great desert shop, so many options to choose from. All deserts we tried were very tasty and freshly made.
Driele H — Google review
Not too bad, prices are accessible but I wouldn't recommend the food that I ate to a person I like. The server was quite cold, and they didn't inform us they didn't have certain toppings and menu items (like a lot of them), until we asked for them and ended up having to reorder multiple times. The atmosphere was inviting, as it was cold outside and the coffee shop was really warm, not too noisy and it was comfortable.
Francisca V — Google review
Amazing ice cream, amazing service! Ice cream and waffle was really good, quality products and very attentive service and really good prices too! Can't wait to go back there!

"Gosto Supremo" is a chain of cozy pastry shops, with its Guimaraes location being particularly comfortable. The prices are very affordable and the quality of the pastries is quite impressive. (Translated by Google) It is a chain of small pastry shops and this is, perhaps, the most comfortable place they have in Guimaraes. The prices are very cheap and the quality of the bowling is quite good; For less than a euro you can eat a very delicious bolo and have a good coffee. Although the place is, above all, frequented by students, it is visited by all types of public. They are also offered to take away, in special packaging. There are several types of bowling and it is difficult to choose just one. I recommend stopping by and trying them. The place is comfortable and they even have an internal, outdoor terrace.

Dessert shop
The dessert shop Nut Braga is known for its courteous staff, convenient location, and affordable menu. While some items may be overly sweet, it aligns with the concept of the shop. Choosing from a variety of sugary treats can be challenging, but they are undoubtedly delicious. It's an ideal place for both family outings and romantic dates to indulge in chocolate delights together. One portion is usually sufficient to share, considering the richness of the desserts.
If you're in the mood for something sweet, Nut'Braga is worth checking out. We had the classic Nutella-filled crepe and the Nut-Kebab a Portuguesa. The crepe was really tasty - warm with a nice amount of Nutella - and the Nut-Kebab had a solid mix of nata, chocolate flakes, almonds, and gelato. It's a nice spot for a treat, especially if you're a fan of Nutella like we are. Will absolutely be coming back for another visit!

This would cost twice as much in England. great value for money, and it was exactly what we came for! We had some of their ‘kebabs’ which were great, but i did expect them to be hot. one is enough to share
Issy A — Google review
Ordered a crepe with Nutella and it barely had any Nutella. Maybe they’re cutting costs or something? At this price point, is it that hard to do a simple crepe with Nutella?
José P — Google review
Polite staff, good location, good menu with reasonable prices. Tooooo sweet, but hey, that's the idea, haha. Hard to choose from all the sugar bombs in the menu, but I bet it's all tasty. Good place to take your kid or for a date, to share chocolate love with your sweetheart (I think one portion would be enough to split, as much as I love to eat, haha, this was soooo heavy, lol). You can pay with cash and card. They speak English.

My last breakfast before leaving Guimarães! Came recommended by a friend and didn't regret it. Large coffee (abatanado), pastel de nata, lanche com salsicha (sausage snack) and Bola de Berlim (Berlin ball) for 3,50. The abatanado was to my taste, stronger than in other places, which served kinda watery coffee (to my taste, of course). Pastries were good as always in Portugal, and the price was fair.

Маша О — Google review
Really good bakery. The cookies are super good! Impressive display of gourmet cakes. However, the opening hours are a bit restrictive and also calling in advance to order does not work as the phone may not be picked up. So you end up with whatever is on sale when you arrive there and that is if you don't have to wait in a big line. In regards to the price, you have to be prepared to pay a premium price (around 7 euros for a small 3-4 bites cake). I would advise to consider revising the working hours, if possible, and make sure you have an online system on how to order in advance, or a good phone service..

Would not recommend, avoid at all cost. Service here is terrible, waited for 40 minutes to get 4 drinks, a sandwich, poffees and a coupe of ice cream (Bananasplit) We noticed other orders that were placed later than ours, were served out earlier. After asking the person behind the counter why it was taking so long to at least serve out the drinks, it turned out they completely forgot our order. The employee, not even recognizing us, even told us other customers were first, although these customers just arrived at the counter. So after telling the staff this is no way to treat paying clients they partially served out the order, but forgot 2 of the drinks. We had to go back 2 more times to ask for the smoothies, and were offered no compensation. We demanded compensation for the last two drinks and after a lot of persuasion they finally agreed. The mismanagement of this place is unlike anything else we experienced in Portugal. The order was really simple and the staff just didn’t care at all. Yet it’s a relatively expensive place.

We visited this NUT Guimarães in February 2023. It was a family short trip to Guimarães. We ordered shakes and pancakes. They have indoor and outdoor tables. The service was a bit too slow. The cafe is located in the pedestrian street. They accept payment in cash or multibanco.

Decent dessert stop 👍☕️ Food: Delicious churros, however I felt they were more waffle like and could clearly see they had been made in a waffle machine. Nothing wrong with this at all and they were delectable, but if someone was expecting fried churros then this isn’t the place to get them! €6.80 for 10 churros seems quite pricey, however I personally can’t compare to other places. Service: nice staff, little English spoken but was understandable. They accept card ⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere: classic cafe outdoor seating was nice, limited mess, felt very content. Would come again to try the other desserts/ice cream 🔥🔥

We could not believe how delicious the donut shake was! Hot and fresh donut with Nutella frosting and sprinkles and the most creamy and wonderful milkshake! Mmmmmm!
Leah K — Google review
The staff is nice but the food is just not good. The sweets are just sweet and dry with no taste. The ice cream also seems to be made out of sugar. And the sandwich was dry and the bread not very good. There's a thing called taste which is missing in this place. Especially for the high prices they charge you don't get the quality expected.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dessert experience, make sure to visit The Cheesecake Story. Nestled in the charming historic center of Braga, this cozy café offers an impressive array of cheesecakes that cater to every palate. From classic flavors like lemon and pistachio to indulgent toppings such as Nutella and Oreo, there's something for everyone.
A fantastic gem of a shop in the historic center of Braga, shortly after the arch, on the right. With a 4.7 rating, I had to check this place out. Lots of mini cheesecakes and lots of full size slices. I asked the woman working which I should choose between the pistachio, which I had read was fabulous, and lemon, which would be my first choice and looked fabulous. She explained both, reassuring me that the lemon was tart and not too sweet, just the way Iike it. Fantastic recommendation. The mini cheesecake was creamy and full of flavor with a beautiful lemon topping. The perfect snack about the size of a pastel de nada. It was only 1.60€ for this ideal tasty treat. Highly recommend. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An instant discovery in the heart of Braga ! Close to Porta Nova you can spotted opposite of a pizza place !!! Small size and minimal decoration ! Their pastry make the difference ! Amazing cheesecake specially the Raffaelo taste ! Nice coffee and very polite staff ! You can pay with card !!!! Espresso + cappuccino + piece of cheesecake = 5,90 euros !! Congratulations Cheesecake Story !!!

I love cheesecake but it puts me off when it's loaded with sugar. That's why I loved the mini cheesecakes here. They're creamy and delicious without being overly sweet and sugary. We chose a lemon and an apple with cinnamon. Both were rich and satisfying and at just €1.60 each, an absolute bargain! I also have to mention that the lady who served us was very patient and kind. Next time we're in Braga, we'll be back to enjoy more of these tasty treats!

Sabores Gelados is a popular ice cream shop in Buenos Aires, Argentina that offers cheap and good ice cream. The staff is friendly and speaks English, making it a great place to go with friends.
Ok, these guys are the only ones who know how to make leaf tea. And just for 1.5 EUR. That's amazing, because it's simply impossible to find such a basic thing like TEA. Great location, great prices, fast service. Thanks.
Viktor E — Google review
We tried two flavors in a cup for 3,50 euro, which was less than another stand we'd had earlier in the week. One of the flavors wasn't good but we hadn't taste tested it so it was our fault for expecting better. We give 1 star for atmosphere because a vagrant was hanging around the outside ordering window and the staff just let him be there and be disruptive. We weren't aware there were more flavor choices inside the little shop - too bad, because it would also have gotten us away from the riff raff!
Audrey L — Google review
Very popular gelato place right in the heart of the historic district. My husband wanted to try this one, because they had regular size waffle cones. Order from the window, but there are more flavors in the tiny inside. The other register on the right is for the other menu options: crepes, smoothies, sandwiches, coffee, etc. Good flavor options and dreamy consistency. Great prices. We got a double waffle cone and a double cup for just under 5€ in the inflated tourist zone. 4.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Run away, we ordered crunch chocolate and tasted like mint, didn’t taste good at all. The other flavors didn’t have the taste they were supposed to have, awful

Awful staff, when we entered there, the waitress almost bumped us while going outside, she didn’t apologies. We waited inside for more than 2 minutes, the other guy didn’t greeted us, the waitress came back inside, no greetings neither. We finally went away without ordering, owner should do something about this horrible staff. Fortunately, there is another great home made ice creams boutique a few meters away where we had a wonderful time.

Gelataria Pappa’Lab in Braga is a must-visit for gelato enthusiasts. Unlike other places that may serve gelato filled with air, Pappa’Lab offers authentic, high-quality gelato with rich flavors and velvety textures. Visitors rave about the salted caramel flavor, which comes with generous chunks of caramel. The cheese with pumpkin gelato and lemon sorbet are also highly recommended.
Very nice ice cream. They give big scoops and it’s just delicious!!!

Best ice cream place I've been to in Europe. The flavours are absolutely delicious. Made in this shop with natural fruit and fresh milk, it's great. My favourite flavour is raspberry. I totally recommend this place to anyone who likes ice cream.
Akira W — Google review
Great ice cream shop in the center of Braga, recently opened, serving homemade ice creams made with both water-based and milk-based recipes. They offer a variety of fruit flavors as well as more adventurous options like pumpkin with cottage cheese, and Oreo. Of course, they also have all the classic, popular flavors. I tried the salted caramel (delicious, with caramel chunks), raspberry, and pumpkin with cottage cheese (served with pumpkin jam). Now, let’s talk about a practical and somewhat unusual detail: there are three sizes available, both in cup and cone. The medium size is recommended for three flavors, but they don’t actually limit the number of flavors you can choose. So, you could order a medium and try five flavors — just in smaller scoops. Honestly, I really liked this idea

Very good ice cream at a normal price. Pappa'Lab has many intricate flavors to choose from, which true ice cream enthusiats are fond of. The staff is very nice and patient, especially for strangers who speak another language. The shop is very clean and the ice cream tastes and feels as advertized. You can tell that the flavors are natural, and the texture is a perfect mix between dense and aerated. Overall, a very good experience which makes this shop one of if not the best in Braga.

Nestled on the first floor at store No. Q14, Mammamia - Gelato Italiano brings a taste of Naples right to Braga. With over a century of tradition behind their creamy and flavorful gelatos, each batch is handcrafted daily to ensure freshness and authenticity. The extensive selection ranges from classic favorites to unique creations, catering to every palate. For those who prefer something other than gelato, Mammamia also offers delicious cakes, pies, and espressos.
I was searching for a good icecream place here in Braga and I found it! Good variety of flavours and options for you to take your ice cream (some options are biscuit cone, cone with chocolate, cup, etc). I am super picky about gelatos. In other places I've tried you can only taste the fat, others are obscenely sweet and some are plain tasteless. But Mammamia is great! Loved it! Ah, the also have cakes, pies, espressos if you're not a gelato person. Even though I haven't tried the cakes and pies, they looked good!

I normally dont care about service: I ask for my order and expect it to be delivered. My friend , who's not from here, was having issues with his mobile data so I asked for the internet password. The young waitress just blurted it out, expecting me to understand it just like that. I thought I had, but when I tried it it didn't work, so I asked again for the password as I must have missed something. Her answer was, and I quote "I already gave it to you". So, again, I don't care about service as I only want to ask for order and have it delivered and I do t need chitchat, but being plain rude? Thats a no in my book. So we are taking our business elsewhere.

Unfortunately my family and I, we arrived at the closing time so was not possible for us to dinner there. Judging on how well the deserves and salads looks, I can say that it’s a really good place for Celiac people. Come on, they have their own Celiac version of a “Francesinha”!!! What’s motivates me to drop my review here was the absolute empathy of the owner who gets us to a neighbours restaurant that also sell gluten free food, we need more people in the world like him. My eternal gratitude to him. Thanks you!

OMG i found gluten free heaven. I am not a gluten free person but i have tried everything because my gf has celiac disease since young. This was the closest i have seen anyone come to a gluten bakery. The puff pastry is amazing. This is one of the most elusive ones to recreate and they have succeeded. Basically they have everything for you sweet, salty, savoury stuff. And the girl working there was beyond nice and speaks perfect english. This visit totally ruined our lunch plans but we couldent be happier. We found ourselves in gluten free heaven. Ps: They also sell their flour, will try to recreate puff pastry at home.

Boutique do Gelado Braga, established in 2016, is a local artisanal ice cream parlor that offers a variety of about 18 flavors including Mars, Oreo, Bounty Crunch, and Strawberry Cheesecake. In addition to their delicious ice creams, they also serve waffles, crepes, smoothies, shakes and brownies which you can enjoy at the shop or take with you while exploring the historic center of Braga.
Very tasty and creamy ice cream. It has most of the classic flavors. If it had all the portuguese flavors, I would have given full 5 stars. If you are in Braga, it is worth paying a visit

One word: phenomenal! Boutique do Gelado Braga is hands-down one of the best dessert spots in town. The variety, taste, and quality of their gelados are simply unmatched — rich, creamy, and full of flavor in every bite. And if you haven’t tried their affogatos, you’re seriously missing out — they’re absolutely to die for! What made our visit even more special was the incredible staff. Not only were they professional and efficient, but they were also unbelievably kind and warm toward our 3-year-old daughter — patient, playful, and truly made her feel like a little VIP. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the product and the people. This one does it effortlessly. A solid 5 stars from us! ⭐🍨✨

Sabores Gelados is a casual ice cream shop that also offers grilled sandwiches and fresh fruit juices. Surprisingly, it is managed by teenagers. The establishment has additional seating in a hidden crypt, which is perfect for chilling during the winter months. Unsurprisingly, the majority of customers are teenagers who enjoy lively conversations while holding their mobile phones.

This Ice-cream shop also does toasted sandwiches and fruit juices. As informal as it gets. Run by teenagers, believe it or not! There is a crypt in the back with more seating, great for those long winter days. To no surprise, most of the customers are teenagers so get ready for loud talking and a mobile in every single hand!

I’ve had gelato all over Europe…Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Spain, etc…and this gelato was completely tasteless! I tried the After 8 and coffee flavors and could detect no chocolate/mint or coffee flavor…none. I’d say perhaps look for another gelato place in Guimarães to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Really bad service. We wanted to sit in the sun and they refused to serve us even though I had asked permission from the owner of the bar next door. They didn't bring the crepes to our table but slammed them on the counter with a look on their faces that was beyond good and evil. Nestled in the heart of Guimarães, Confeitaria Ribela is a delightful gem that perfectly blends the charm of a cozy diner with the inviting atmosphere of a café. It's a strange place. I'd like to order some Natasha to go on the train ride back to Porto. We entered the store with 3 others following us. I stood in front of the counter waiting for the service. The waitress saw us, finished serving the sit-down customers, and went directly to the gentlemen behind me and took his order. We did not complain first, then she went to the lady went in last. When we complaint, she said in English that we need to sit down. When we said you kept ignoring us, she said she does understand English and started speak Portuguese. There seems to be some local rule for ordering sweet that we did not know. I'd like to write something about food, but not this time. We left without ordering anything.

The Amazon river stretches for thousands of miles, passing through virtually untouched areas of the rainforest that have seen limited exploration. Due to the permeable limestone in these regions, the river water seeps through and creates underground pools deep beneath the surface. In these pools, transparent fish lacking sight have thrived over millennia, completely hidden from human observation. These fish can only imagine experiencing the delectable donuts offered at a highly recommended establishment like Croughnuts Bar!

(Translated by Google) Bakery and Pastry Shop with a signature. It's not a supermarket of flavors but it has its differences, even in what is already made by others. Raspberry is my favorite but they have a yeast bread and a cornbread that are "not hard" to take home. If you pass by, it's worth stopping to try.
