A great spot with affordable and delicious pastries. I tried some of Braga’s traditional treats, including Tibias de Braga, Fidalguinhos, and Abade Priscos Pudding. However, a note for vegetarians: while it’s a dessert, the Abade Priscos Pudding is actually made with bacon and eggs, so keep that in mind.

Modern pastry shop/bakery with the most famous sweets from Braga and all of the traditional ones as well. Right at the famous arch of the old Braga downtown (Arco da Porta Nova) this bakery has a modern twist of the traditional sweets you have in northern Portugal. The most famous one and that gives this bakery it's name are "Tíbias de Braga", you have the plain ones with a simple egg custard and the modern ones with different toppings and fillings. If you go there, it's also advised to taste the other pastries like the traditional Portuguese croissant (brioche style), biscuits and cakes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Having been living in Braga for a little over two years, I was always skipped this place since it's too close to the touristy area but I was pleasantly surprised that many locals are frequenting this place. For a good reason! I've been coming for a few times trying different pastries and I haven't had anything bad. Actually, I had the best croissant I've ever had in my life here, and it was a near religious experience. Every time I order, everything always comes quickly including during busier lunch time. Service is friendly and great overall. The cafe itself is in a historical building and the ambience is just very nice. The toilet was clean also. Definitely recommend!

Excellent pastry in Guimarães. Here you can find high quality, fresh and tasteful products for your breakfast or even lunch. The toasts and juices are great! The shop is located in a calm surrounding (+- 2km from Guimarães city center) and there is plenty room to park the car. Great spot!

After ordering a cappuccino, we got some instant nescafe water. After explaining what we had in mind by saying "cappuccino" we got coffee and hot milk what tasted ok-ish. Juice was tasty. Sweets were also ok-ish. Bonus star for very cheap price.

Very delicious ice cream and crêpe. They never disappoint, we are able to choose the ingredients we want to add to our crêpe or waffles. The space is cozy, if you stay outside it's possible to enjoy a nice view to the river.

This place may not seem like they sell good ice cream, notably because of the ball spoons who announce an unprofessionalism in the waiters, or maybe because they wash the spoons in water, which may alter the texture of the ice cream, but this place does indeed serve good product. The server was quite cold, and they didn't inform us they didn't have certain toppings and menu items (like a lot of them), until we asked for them and ended up having to reorder multiple times. The atmosphere was inviting, as it was cold outside and the coffee shop was really warm, not too noisy and it was comfortable.

This is my most favourite cafe in Guimaraes. The Jesuita (or mini Jezuita) is just the best!And you can get good and fresh pastery even in the night! The staff people are very nice, friendly and the service is proper. Highly recommend for a true local experience.

My last breakfast before leaving Guimarães! Came recommended by a friend and didn't regret it. Large coffee (abatanado), pastel de nata, lanche com salsicha (sausage snack) and Bola de Berlim (Berlin ball) for 3,50. The abatanado was to my taste, stronger than in other places, which served kinda watery coffee (to my taste, of course). Pastries were good as always in Portugal, and the price was fair.

Really good bakery. The cookies are super good! Impressive display of gourmet cakes. However, the opening hours are a bit restrictive and also calling in advance to order does not work as the phone may not be picked up. So you end up with whatever is on sale when you arrive there and that is if you don't have to wait in a big line. In regards to the price, you have to be prepared to pay a premium price (around 7 euros for a small 3-4 bites cake). Would not recommend, avoid at all cost. Service here is terrible, waited for 40 minutes to get 4 drinks, a sandwich, poffees and a coupe of ice cream (Bananasplit) We noticed other orders that were placed later than ours, were served out earlier. After asking the person behind the counter why it was taking so long to at least serve out the drinks, it turned out they completely forgot our order. The employee, not even recognizing us, even told us other customers were first, although these customers just arrived at the counter. So after telling the staff this is no way to treat paying clients they partially served out the order, but forgot 2 of the drinks. We had to go back 2 more times to ask for the smoothies, and were offered no compensation. We demanded compensation for the last two drinks and after a lot of persuasion they finally agreed. The mismanagement of this place is unlike anything else we experienced in Portugal. The order was really simple and the staff just didn’t care at all. Yet it’s a relatively expensive place.

I love cheesecake but it puts me off when it's loaded with sugar. That's why I loved the mini cheesecakes here. They're creamy and delicious without being overly sweet and sugary. We chose a lemon and an apple with cinnamon. Both were rich and satisfying and at just €1.60 each, an absolute bargain! I also have to mention that the lady who served us was very patient and kind. I didn't try the food, but stayed in the local accomodation. It as an amazing location, right in the center of Braga. The room is really small but enough to spend a night with everything needed. The bed is really comfortable and it has a lot sun in the morning.

The young waitress just blurted it out, expecting me to understand it just like that. I thought I had, but when I tried it it didn't work, so I asked again for the password as I must have missed something. Her answer was, and I quote "I already gave it to you". So, again, I don't care about service as I only want to ask for order and have it delivered and I do t need chitchat, but being plain rude? Thats a no in my book. A rare find in Braga. What a treat to find a dedicated gf bakery/cafe. They even had takeaway frozen lasagna. The ambiance inside was cosy and the the owner was very warm and patient with our poor Portuguese.

OMG i found gluten free heaven. I am not a gluten free person but i have tried everything because my gf has celiac disease since young. This was the closest i have seen anyone come to a gluten bakery. The puff pastry is amazing. This is one of the most elusive ones to recreate and they have succeeded. Basically they have everything for you sweet, salty, savoury stuff. And the girl working there was beyond nice and speaks perfect english. This visit totally ruined our lunch plans but we couldent be happier. We found ourselves in gluten free heaven. Ps: They also sell their flour, will try to recreate puff pastry at home.

They were both very good and the woman at the desk was very nice and welcoming. We went to the confeitaria on Sunday afternoon, so maybe they were finishing their sweets of the week but I had the impression that they had been baked some time before, although the tortas was very crunchy and very good.
