Decent spot in Vigo. It’s located in the city downtown but certainly not a big avenue or nice and big boulevard. Doesn’t matter, food is good and the atmosphere inside is quite nice. Food was pretty well prepared though nothing outstanding. Just right. Had the tuna, not too bad, prawns and the chocolate dessert, pretty good. Service wasn’t particularly good as we had reserved through the fork and marked “outside table” and then they told us no outside table was available. Luckily 2 costumers went and they quickly prepared a table for us, but it would have been quite disappointing not to have what you booked. Anyway, it’s not probably a place I’ll go back but I’d certainly recommend it.

Five stars for DeTapaenCepa. We took our parents there for their fiftieth wedding anniversary and it was the perfect choice - from the food, wine, and excellent service (including from the owner himself). Dishes are plated well and are as aesthetically pleasing as they are delicious. For a Michelin restaurant I thought the prices were surprisingly affordable. We will be back.

AWFUL SERVICE. This restaurant does not deserve to be in the Michelin guide. The food and ingredients are good, but the service is simply disrespectful. While a Michelin star does not guarantee exceptional service, it should at least ensure minimum standards of professionalism. We waited over 10 minutes at the door despite having a reservation, unsure where to go. When a waiter finally acknowledged us, he simply waved us over with a hand gesture—the same way you would call a dog. No greeting, not even a “hello.” Throughout the meal, the staff took their time, interrupted us while we were ordering, and when we asked for the bill, they preferred to chat among themselves about another table. We felt terribly mistreated. I cannot recommend this place. The food may be good, but you can easily find the same quality elsewhere—with respectful and professional service.

I’ve never felt more hostile in a “nice”restaurant in my life. Customer first is not the motto here. The food was fine but the service and lack of attempt to fix the incorrect order was unacceptable. They blamed the menu wasn’t updated but we ordered in Spanish, English and pointed to what we wanted on the menu. And yes, they still charged for the lamb then had the gall to ask if we still wanted fish after.

We’ve been in Spain for a month. Fifth time coming to Spain. We’ve been to Michelin rates restaurants all over the world and in Spain this trip. Incredible service at every single one. I know the “customer is always right” isn’t really a Spanish viewpoint. And I get that. But wow I’ve NEVER felt so poorly treated in a restaurant of this caliber literally ever. Makes me wonder if this just because we are not from Spain and therefore are treated as “lesser”. The waiter (can’t remember his name but he had glasses and a scruff beard) was condescending and rude. I went for a date night with my husband. The waiter took our order incorrectly. Even though I communicated in Spanish and English, trying to confirm what we ordered. The food was brought and what was supposed to be our grouper with risotto comes out as lamb. The waiter AND chef make a big scene and box us in at the table and basically say “sorry we prepared this you are going to pay for it” so we felt forced to take it. They also went on to say “language barriers make things complicated”. Even though I ordered in Spanish and English. And I speak Spanish lol. I guarantee if we had sent the lamb back (not eaten it) and asked for another fish that actually was on the menu tonight, then they would have charged us for both. I do not recommend. Highly recommend going to visit a restaurant nearby called “Crudeza”. Excellent & friendly service and menu!

We’ve been a bit worried about the pre-set menu size, as it came with so many dishes, but it was just perfect for us - all the dishes were delicious and relatively small, so we could eat them all. The staff was very polite and attentive, helped to pair the food with great wine choices. Highly recommend this Michelin restaurant!

Amazing restaurant with very nice staff and an enticing menu. I had a hard time choosing. I ended up following my server’s suggestion and didn’t regret it a bit. All dishes were mouthwatering. Presentation was outstanding too. This place should be on everyone’s list. Don’t miss it.

We had a phenomenal experience at Silabario to celebrate my birthday. We had the largest tasting menu, the Solaina, with wine pairing - and it was absolutely worth it. Each dish was exquisite, but the pairing elevated each excellent dish to an entirely new level. All the staff were attentive and friendly, but we would love to especially thank our sommelier who was a joy to speak to and whose passion for her craft and wines made the experience even more enjoyable. They also took the initiative to give me a little candle in our last dessert when they found out it was my birthday, which I was very touched by. I wish I lived closer to Vigo so I could come back again and again!

Solo diner with no reservation. Had the €40 menu. Great value for a 1⭐️ Michelin restaurant. Highly recommend. Minor note to restaurant - please add physical menus instead of QR code/phone. Don’t give people more excuses to pull their phones out at a high end dining experience.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Exquisite local produce mixed with great presentation and attention to detail. The eel was out of this world good and every single item coming from the set menu we ordered. The restaurant also Offers the possibility of going tapas/raciones style. I’d definitely come back as this place truly deserves their 1 Michelin star. Thank you

Amazing food and great sommelier. Not 5 ⭐️ as the dishes in the Soleiana menu where not 100% consistent. Some amazing highlights (rooster, squid, appetizer bites), but also some misses (clam, oversalted sole). Recommended nonetheless also for the great location. P.S. the desserts were all 5 🌟.

Another outstanding meal at Silbario. Easily the best restaurant in Galicia, if not the top restaurant in Spain. There is always a diverse menu with different price options in varying levels of sophistication. I did the Raices meal with the wine pairing this last time and it was remarkable. I love the many different flavors and tastes that can come even within a single course. I include some photos of several highlights of the visit here, including a spider crab soup, which also has its own special bowl. Highly recommended. They need a second Michelin star.

Very good value for money, the portion sizes are always massive, one starter and main between two people is easily enough. It's in a cozy little tavern-like building with stone walls, which gives it a real rural feel to the place. Service is always good and you never have to wait long. Although the variety could be considered a bit limited, everything on the menu is delicious.

The perfect place for a tired pilgrim - the coffee, food and service are all amazing - what more could you ask for? So good I’ve come two days in a row! Also, they have amazing WiFi. Muchas gracias!

Ok place for a quick snack or light meal. The food is OK, the service is quite standard and prices are reasonable. We just got a bit disappointed with the Donut Fit which is advertised quite pretty and the really lead to disappointment.

Everything delicious. The Panini with mortadella, the cheese and pavo toast, cappuccino, pumpkin spice. Everything perfect. worth every penny spent.

The best coffee experience I ever had, we visited Vigo on summer vacation but never expecting to find a coffee place that good. Their coffees are simply amazing, cold and hot coffee both are out of the world. My favorite is Mocaccino which is perfect blend of coffee, milk and cocoa, I can have that again and again. Not just coffee but their fail cake varieties are out of the work, the apple cake and lemon cake is exactly like how i want, the fruit flavors are subtle and now over powering the taste. I strongly recommend this place to any one who is in Vigo.

Open, spacious environment with a relaxed, modern feel, and excellent, award winning coffee. Great selection of cakes, milkshakes, and cocktails too. Friendly service and popular with the breakfast crowd. All still true a few years on. Notable changes are that there's maybe less seating outside now, but I think it's all the better for the move to new premises on the main road. The décor has a more natural, industrial feel that I prefer, and the cakes and biscuits are made fresh, in-house. They also now run barista courses upstairs for those who take their coffee really seriously, which seems appropriate to anyone visiting the land of coffee!

Amazing coffee! If you ask for a café solo you're going to get an espresso which is a little more commentated but delicious. Nice Ambience with outside shaded seating and I side seating. Very bright inside. Nicest staff, so helpful and kind. Definitely a great coffee spot for next time. And this area where the cafe is at is worth visiting and walking around in.

Loved the food and the service was great! I personnally didn’t like the capuchino. But the view is amazing and the service was fast in august and very nice as well. We didn’t wait when entering. Beeakfast is until 12:20

We came here for breakfast and left a bit underwhelmed. The interior feels more like a bar than a cozy breakfast spot. The toasts were okay, but the bread was very thick with a super crunchy crust – hard to eat without a fight. The coffee is very strong, which some people might love, but we prefer a more balanced cappuccino.

Was really excited to try this place on my first visit to Vigo old town. Having been running around all morning I was actually very hungry but the curt ‘no’ from the waitress when I asked if they had anything gluten free, I didn’t feel like prying further. I saw they had more bready stuff on display and assumed they are more like a bakery. However I had to wait quite long for my coffee and saw them prepare quite a few dishes that would have been very easily adjusted to omit things that contain gluten. Seems they just didn’t want to make an effort. Unfortunately I didn’t find the coffee worth the wait either, but they do have very nice views.

The waitress was really im a bad mood... i hope it was a puntual situation 😅 also there are so many warnings about things that we cannot do that I feel in a public school...creates a bad environment. I wasnt even going to ask any of the "forbidden" things but... It looks like a very strict place.

Seems like nice place - great view, nice decorated, good toasts. But as common for this city - crazy slow service. They can not afford to receive all the people and serve to them even when they are not full. You need to wait 20 mins to wait table to be cleaned after previous people and 40 mins more to receive your meal. Too much. Don’t know how it’s possible to run business this way. Disappointed

Five star experience on all counts! We stayed in Vigo at a nearby hotel without booking the breakfast because we like to explore and try out the various breakfast places in town. Normally we visit quite a few but after finding this place on the very first morning we knew that this would be our go to for the other mornings! ✨️❤️ The breakfast is very good and freshly baked - more often than not the pastries and the croissants were still warm when we ordered them. Their avocado toast is one of the best we have ever had and the bread is amazing. 🥑🥖 As some other reviewers have noted their coffee is the best in town. Tip for the owners: on one of the mornings the female owner was wearing a shirt that said "I am the Baker". We would love to see a complementary shirt for the other owner that says "I am the barrista". ☕️🍪

Returned to The Hippie Baker on another cruise April 2025 and so lucky as we were supposed to go to Cadiz and due to bad weather we docked in Vigo instead. Had two avocado toast and two cinnamon buns to takeaway. The food as usual was incredible and had to be THE best cinnamon buns we've ever eaten, baked with love by Sonia. We love The Hippie Baker an vegan oasis of calm ..If you go to Vigo do visit and say hello from Olive and say I will be back. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed this coffee spot! The matcha was great, and I love that they only use oat milk – no extra charge like in most places (finally justice for vegetable milk lovers!). Prices are super friendly too, just €3.5 for a matcha. And the cinnamon rolls… dangerously good.

I love this place. The Hippie Bakery does the best coffee in Vigo and their pastries and bread are delicious along with their avocado and toast. Not to mention the Cinnamon rolls! Sonia and Marco are always welcoming and have created a cafe that draws in locals and visitors to enjoy. A must visit!

It’s a cute little corner vegan bakery in Vigo. I love that they are dog friendly. The cappuccino was great. The matcha latte was great. The cinnamon roll need a bit more cinnamon and glaze. The pain au chocolat would be better if it is more flaky and has more chocolate late. It’s a great place to visit when you are in Vigo ❤️

This is a small cozy vegan cafe. Very tasty oatmeal with banana and latte with oat milk. I highly recommend it 🙂

Amazing and authentic place. Everything was fresh made, empanadas as well as arepas were warm and crunchy, filled with flavour. The staff was super friendly. One thing I didn’t like was the tables were very close to each other.

It was our second visit and I'd definitely go back on our next visit to Vigo. Very friendly service, good food and decent coffee. We had the cinnamon bun the 1st time and it was great. This time we ordered an arepa and a baked good with cheese inside, they were both delicious.

First time eating golfeado, this was the best dessert I have eaten in Spain, it is sweet dish with cheese as topping and it was dealicious. The service was also perfect, overall good energy, visit if you find yourself in Vigo, 6 stars❤️

Delicious food!!! Good quality coffee! They make you feel welcomed and comfortable. I’ve tried the arepa, and it was one of the best ones I’ve tried. I’m an arepa fan! The tres leches cake is to die for! Extremely recommended. It’s one 5 min walking from Vigo train station. 😍

I like cannoli very much and here I can find the best in Galicia. I would drive for miles just to delight myself with this dessert and cup of tea or coffee. And yes, I would take one back home. By the way, the views from the seating area are beautiful.

first the environment is very nicely decorated, cats lover will love this place. The owner it was very nice and gave us recommendation on the cinnamon buns, we also had anpan and a matcha melopan. The texture of the bread in general really good, now we believe that she lacked some ingredients because for someone who has already been to Japan the anko didn’t taste like proper anko, and the cinnamon rolls although texture was amazing lacked a bit of flavour. I don’t like cinnamon that much so for me was ok but for my girlfriend who loves the cinnamon flavour maybe not that much

Really unexpected gem hidden in the streets of Vigo. Wandering around and just noticed a big “パン” out the corner of my eye. Entered to find a tiny shop of just a countertop and collection of fresh Japanese breads. We took the chocomochi pan, and shiobutter dorayaki, both of which were soft and full of flavour. Highly recommend adding it to your walk around Vigo, for a quick picnic snack.

Went there with a few friends and my kids for quick breakfast. The waitress was friendly but the waiter pushed me when we were about to leave. I was holding my baby and he needed to pass. i ALWAYS move to give way but space was tight. He pushed me on the shoulder, the kind that you do out of annoyance. My friend saw it. Just to reiterate: I WAS HOLDING MY BABY. Just as well, bc we're only in Vigo for holidays several times a year but we're never coming back here. Nothing great abt the food.

I found this place online when looking for a place to brunch in Vigo. The place is really nice and cosy, the employees are nice and polite and the various options all look delicious. We can choose 1 between different kinds of natural juices and 1 hot beverage (coffee, hot chocolate or tea), 2 "sweets" (from yogurts to croissants or pies) and 2 salted pastries (or eggs benedict, toasts, mini hamburguers...). It was all great and it costs 11,95 euros per person. I highly recommend this place!

Great atmosphere, fast service, GREAT coffee and food. Waiters are very friendly and will answer your questions about the menu del día and suggest something if you're not sure of what to order.

Nice and peculiar experience with lots of choices. We went for breakfast and had toast with butter and jam, orange juice, coffee, a tuna empanadilla, and an ensaimada with cream. Everything was fantastic. The staff was super friendly. The decoration is unique with many items, but it all works. It seems the designer asked the owner "how many decoration items do you want" and the owner just replied "yes yes yes." The result is wonderful. We will definitely return.

This is simply a fraud. The sandwiches I ordered had no menu and no price. As a result, I only ordered a little bit, one bite at a time. Because I must be full when I go to Ceis Island, I ordered another one. As a result, I was told 8 euros when I checked out. Nmd sb. No wonder she said me mucho gracias many times. The cost of the tm sandwich is less than one euro, and she earned me at least seven euros. The sandwich I ate the next day was only six euros, and his two portions were not half the same as mine.(The image of sandwich is from another store called cafeteria Nuevo derby.)

I came to this coffee shop with my 4-year-old, hoping for a nice moment together. Unfortunately, our experience was awful. My little one was gently looking at something, and I calmly told him we could look without touching. Suddenly, a staff member started shouting "NO! NO! NO!” at him, with an angry expression. I was shocked - as a mum, I never speak to my child like that, and it was completely unnecessary. There are ways to handle situations politely, especially when a parent is already guiding their child. We left feeling upset and unwelcome. I'll never go back, and I hope the staff learn some basic kindness and respect, especially when dealing with children.

I don't want to be mean and I'm not writing this review out of malice, but this restaurant has no idea what Italian cuisine means. I have attached pictures from my visit, where I ate pizza (after I tasted the pizza, I didn't have the courage to order anything else), as well as a picture of a portion of pasta served by someone else at this restaurant. I also attached a picture of a portion of pasta and what it would normally look like. When you serve overcooked pasta and "hawai pizza" (when you put pineapple on pizza and overcook pasta, you are insulting Italian cuisine),you don't deserve to be called an Italian Restaurant.I have visited Italy a lot and I know what I am talking about. The restaurant looks good.The terrace of the restaurant was quite crowded, but that didn't bother me. I thought it was a good sign and the food was good. I was wrong! However, 2 fans would be welcome there.Anyway,the place is clean and the staff polite and frienly.The prices are quite friendly for a tourist area (aprox 2 euro for an ice cream,between 8 to 12 euro for a pizza,few euro for a beer). I'm sorry and I don't want to offend him, but please send the chef to some training courses. I'm not a chef, but I cook 100% better pasta than him

I was pleasantly surprised to find some amazing vegan ice cream here! Perfect for a walk along the beach! They have a few options too, I tried the mango, chocolate and chocolate hazelnut while i was there! Highly recommend!

All the sweet treats look very yummy, but the flavour is not the best, The carrot cake was ok, the frosting was incredibly sweet and the lemon tart was incredibly sour, we couldn't finish any of those.

I’ve been to this cute bakery/sandwich shop a couple of times since coming to Vigo. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The sandwiches are fresh and good- A bit more American style with a larger variety of protein choices, and the addition of lettuce and tomato . Double chocolate cake was delicious. Highly recommend

Great ice creams. Very soft and creamy. If they had a little bit sugar would be better but still they’re not too sweet. Nicely located too.

Churros are basically the worst I’ve ever had. Frozen ones, totally hard and full of oil, chocolate is just water and coffee is the saddest part. Sorry but never again. Definitely not recommended.

Churros reheated and taste like old oil. Ice cream okay. Probably perfectly nice place to have a beer outside on a sunny day but can’t recommend for food.

The place itself is decent, the pasteries too. But the prices are completely out of control. It is not a fancy bakery by all means, it is a shopping mall shop. Yet they charge 5€ for a cinnamon like roll. Other things include 2€ for a palm biscuit, 4.5€ for a tiny slice of Compostela tart. I don’t think it is worth it, the prices are out of context with the city.
