Nestled in a charming bungalow with inviting Adirondack chairs out front, Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters is a must-visit destination for coffee enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest. This small organic roastery has gained acclaim for its award-winning beans and draws a steady stream of patrons regardless of the weather. Additionally, visitors can indulge in delectable breakfast options at nearby eateries like Crepe Neptune and The Wayfarer.
Sleepy Monk Coffee is hands down one of the best coffee spots in Cannon Beach! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a quaint, local charm that makes you want to stay for hours. The coffee is outstanding – rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. They have a great selection of espresso drinks, and everything I tried was exceptional in quality and flavor. The fresh pastries are a delightful bonus, perfectly complementing their coffee. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to make recommendations. If you're a coffee lover visiting Cannon Beach, this place is a must-stop. You won’t be disappointed!

I love this coffee shop, and they definitely have the best coffee in Cannon Beach. The staff are tremendously friendly and the coffee is delicious. The atmosphere though it gets crowded is warm interesting and inviting. They also have lots of delicious treats to snack on AND Gluten free options. It's definitely worth stopping by.
Abbie L — Google review
We were able to enjoy our morning coffee and here at Sleepy Monk Coffee roasters. Although we headed out early there was a long line outside, however it moved at a nice pace. We ordered our coffee and bagels and a yummy orange chocolate chip scone. I tried the special pumpkin spiced latte however it was very light on a pumpkin flavor. It was a nice way to start our day and will return next time we're in Cannon Beach.

Definitely go here if you’re visiting cannon beach! The GF lemon poppy cake is the best thing ever and if you don’t want something too sweet you will love it! We come here every time we visit cannon beach and always have the best time. The atmosphere and customer service is great. I love the chocolate whip cream on top of my latte! Great place to hangout and enjoy delicious coffee and pastries. They also have amazing bagels. I had the rosemary one and think about it everyday. Can’t wait to go back! ❤️
Aurora D — Google review
Always a must stop when we visit Canon Beach. You can expect long lines forming prior to opening and there’s reason to it. Coffee and drinks are amazing. Staff and vibes are on point. So good that we end up ordering our beans from them for our home coffee. Make sure to stock up while we’re in town though.
Brian P — Google review
This coffee shop is so nice! Lovely, calm atmosphere with a couple small tables inside and more seating outdoors. The menu has some fun specialty drinks (highly recommend the Druid's Delight) and the baked goods are amazing! The staff was all very friendly and service was fast! Will definitely seek this place out the next time I'm in the area!

Coffee was good, bagel was good. The old woman taking orders was so rude it ruined our experience. Not to us, but to another group of customers that came in while we were there. This woman got a cup of coffee, and didn’t get her change, (obviously leaving a small tip) The woman said: here is your quarter, I’m worth more than that! …. The woman took her change, then put it in the tip jar. The old lady behind the counter then said: Oh thanks, a nickel for each of us! I couldn’t believe how rude this woman was. Everyone else seemed nice.

Good coffee. Good food. It’s a nice, warm and lovely shop. We came here for coffee beans. We will definitely come back.

Nestled just a block away from the stunning Pacific Ocean beaches, Cannon Beach Bakery is a charming spot perfect for grabbing a steaming latte before a leisurely beach walk or enjoying a good book by the fireplace. With ample windows offering views of Oregon's varying weather and just an hour and a half drive from Portland, it's an ideal quick getaway destination. Since 1936, this bakery has been delighting patrons with an extensive array of delectable sweet and savory pastries.
We arrived just a few minutes before closing and they still had delicious looking pastries left. The employee was so nice in assisting us and my indecisive 10 year old. The creme horn was my favorite of the items we picked out. Everything was delicious, we would recommend.
Carrie C — Google review
Had some of their incredible focaccia and their margarita roll sitting in the sun outside the bakery. Unreal maple bar too! Great prices 🫶🏽especially for cannon beach

My wedding cake turned out beautiful! Not only was it pretty to look at, but the flavor was amazing as well! Highly recommend you try the Marionberry filling, it was a crowd favorite. The customer service was incredible & I would recommend getting your wedding cake from here.

It's a really cute shop! There were a lot of bees in the donut display, not really sure how that happened but they didn't eat much so we're good!
Naomi L — Google review
I had better hopes for this bakery, but it was disappointing all around. The staff was mildly friendly and helpful despite an otherwise quiet afternoon. I purchased $20+ of baked goods, but they were all low-quality. I considered returning the box and requesting a partial refund, but did not want to upset the staff. My chief concern was that I asked the staff if some of their pastry items were soft (so they could be safely consumed by my child), and I was assured they were. However, I dropped off the box with my husband, and both he and my child reported that each of the several types of cookies purchased were rock hard. This applied to the chocolate chip cookie and butter cookie. The snickerdoodle cookies were not as tough, but definitely not chewy or soft. I bought a ginger/molasses cookie, but it tasted dry and lacked the classic chewy texture of a quality one. The slice of banana bread I purchased was certainly not made fresh as the employee told me. It was a few days old. The ginger /molasses cookie was tough and a little hard. Lastly, the almond pastry tasted artificial and tough. The flavors were off, and I have never tasted an almond pastry so poorly executed. The employee was passive and uninterested in providing good service. If you have to be dishonest about your product (and it's freshness), perhaps you should not work there. To other customers: take your dollars elsewhere.
Rob B — Google review
Cute place. Very disappointing apple fritter....less fritter, more of an apple bread - pretty dense/heavy. Apple cider donut, however, was great and crispy.
JB — Google review
This was such a great stop! We went twice during our weekend stay and had great pastries and cookies each time. Baked in-house, all their delicacies are decent sized, reasonably priced (comparatively for the current economy), and the coffee was good too. I always love a quality pastry with my coffee, so we'll definitely be stopping in again next time we're in town.
Jenny S — Google review
Good food and drinks. Maple bar was fluffy. Staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of customers, not super friendly. Not much seating, except lots of out door benches and seating.

Bakery
Sea Level Bakery + Coffee is a cozy and hip cafe located in Cannon Beach, offering an array of single-origin coffee, espresso, and scratch-made baked goods. The unmistakable aromas of fresh-brewed espresso and freshly baked pastries greet you as you walk in. The menu includes tasty sticky buns, scones, banana bread, cookies, biscuits, and pie.
Great popular place in cannon beach! Definitely well known but for good reason. Really delicious pastries and the which we got was the perfect breakfast item. Their quiche is always vegetarian which is great because my bf is veg and it can always be hard to find those options. We timed the visit right and didn’t have to wait in line but maybe 3 minutes later a line did build up and for awhile. We wanted to go and get one more pastry to go but the line wait wasn’t worth it. So take your time and get everything you want to order in one go! It’s not in the main downtown area of cannon beach which I liked or else it would really be crowded. There’s a beach entrance right on the street so we grabbed coffee and took a stroll! Highly recommend the almond bar.

Nestled near the Tolavana beach, this cafe surprised us with their amazing coffee and pastries. We had their pistachio raspberry scone, orange bostock, acai bowl and also their mini yogurt granola bowl. The pastries tasted so divine and fresh. Will definitely come back here on our next visit to the Oregon coast.
Mahalakshmi C — Google review
Small coffee shop about 3-4min walking distance from the Tolvana and Wayside inns. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Coffee and pastries. We ordered a mocha and a candied orange mocha. Very subpar notes of chocolate and orange in both beverages. I was hoping for a rich, chocolate mocha. The pastries were very tasty and appealed to the eye. They have merch, coffee beans, and other items available to purchase.

We visited Sea Level Bakery two days in a row—and for good reason. This spot delivers on every level. The specialty drinks are dialed in perfectly (seriously, some of the best we’ve had anywhere), and the baked bread is next-level delicious—crusty, fresh, and full of flavor. The vibe inside is warm and inviting, with simple, thoughtful décor that makes you want to linger a little longer. Yes, there can be a line, but the staff behind the counter are quick, friendly, and totally on top of it. It’s the kind of place you make a mental note to come back to—and we definitely will on our next trip.

If you’re an early riser, they are one of your only option for coffee and breakfast. Cute little spot, good service, excellent drinks and yummy pastries. Their sticky bun is to die for. It’s a must!
Jason M — Google review
They have excellent kouign amann pastries - that are typically rare to find! They even offered three versions (original, chocolate and ham/cheese). My hubby said the chocolate version rivaled his favorite kouign amann from Seattle! Also, they had gluten free, dairy free and vegan baked goods. I had the gluten free and vegan raspberry muffin and it was delicious! Or was not too sweet, had a tender crumb, & great raspberry flavor! PLUS, they have outstanding drip coffee and lattes! I had a DF/GF maple cinnamon latte with oat milk. It was creamy and the shots were not over extracted! YUM! Their customer service was fantastic! They were personable and even brought our drinks to us! When in town, we WILL be back!
Chris F — Google review
This place is so cute, they have outdoor seating and fair prices. Their rosemary latte was the best coffee i had in cannon beach. Banana bread was so yummy too.
Jennifer A — Google review
The best (specialty) coffee on the coast! They serve Heart beans here, which is a phenomenal roaster from Portland, and they know how to make it. I have had a few drinks from here and they are as good as I have ever had. I recently got an iced Americano with their Ethiopia beans, and I could not have been happier. It was flavorful, fruit forward, smooth and balanced. One of the best I’ve had. If you love coffee for the sake of the coffee, this is your place. 👌

La Maison is a charming neighborhood spot known for its delicious French breakfast options and artisanal desserts. The cafe offers a variety of sweet and savory crêpes, omelets, caramelized banana French toast, English muffins, and an assortment of pastries. Visitors can also enjoy quality coffee and mimosas while taking in the great views and live music on weekends. The bakery case showcases an array of delectable pastries and jams to take home.
We went here as a group of four friends and had a fantastic breakfast experience! They even have a ramp and wide enough entry area for our wheelchair, which was very nice. We had their French omelette with cheese and it was so smooth and flavorful we just loved it! We also had their French toast and oh man it was good! The service is fast and very friendly even though they were very busy on a Sunday morning. We will definitely return for future meals here!
Jason B — Google review
This fine mademoiselle knows how to prepare a poached egg to perfection! We loved everything about this cozy little French cafe from the moment we entered. Fresh squeezed orange juice, hot tea, honey, breakfast sandwich and the Salmon Eggs Benedict were all delicious! We are visiting Newport but if I lived here I would become a regular! Merci beaucoup!
Allison W — Google review
We missed our exit heading back to the valley and as we turned up a street behind the 101 we saw this cute little cafe. With ample parking next door we decided to stop in for brunch. We were so presently surprised by how wonderful the food was. We were treated to lemon water and fresh fruit as we ordered. I had the Provence omelette with a croissant! Yumm! Caramelized onions, peppers, ham, Gruyère, omelette - enough for left overs! We also grabbed a cinnamon roll on our way out. I only wish we got there earlier to buy more pastries. Looking forward to a date trip back to the coast and I know where will stop for brunch again. The restaurant is small and intimate. What they lack in space they make up for in great service, and quality food.
Veronica B — Google review
Loved this café!! We both ordered eggs Benedict (his with honey baked ham, mine with bacon and artichoke heart). The breakfast came with seasonal fruit, but we ate it too quickly to add a picture 😅 The English muffins were made from scratch, all fresh ingredients. They are family owned, and everyone there was working hard, and the cook/chef took pride and care in making all of the food! They serve brunch until 12pm, then there is a new lunch menu given out. They listed that they will start serving dinners as well in March. We loved the experience and will definitely be back to try the lunch and dinner menus!
Jennifer N — Google review
Food is delicious thats the only thing thing I can say positive. They have a table RIGHT next to the bathroom and a garbage can and unfortunately thats where they sat us And we asked for plain French toast and what we got wasn't that. When I asked they said that was what they served and was final. So I paid 21 for French toast I didn't order. That door leads to a bathroom My leg is almost to the garbage can And picture of our French toast.
Kristen B — Google review
Absolute gem you'll be glad you found. Small dining space, so there will likely be a wait. The waitstaff are lovely and everything on the menu is great. Most recent visit (June 2025) we tried the crepes- incredible! I think we've now had it all... You can also simply get pasteries to go. Previous post- The cook was grumpy on this latest visit- but the wait staff was running and making it happen!! The food was delicious- prices have gone up since our last visit, but that's typical most places. We tried the bananas with cream and hazelnuts- fun treat! Croissants are divine.
Shawna R — Google review
My partner and I drive over an hour just to visit our beloved La Maison!!! The food is impeccable, the staff are ALWAYS so friendly and greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. They also bake some of the BEST olive rosemary bread, and carry some local companies' products. Now, their bakery section? We immediately claim what we would like to buy from the window as they are a hot commodity! The banana eclairs will always be our favorite, but literally anything you get from there won't disappoint. I enjoyed a Monte Cristo today that was huge!! I could only eat maybe 1/3 of it before packing it back home. I also tried a local company that makes marionberry lemonade at one of the staff (I believe maybe the owner?) suggestions, and she nailed it - it was delicious on this warm sunny day! As always, we will be back ❤️
Katey M — Google review
We stopped in on our way out of town and I’m SO glad we did! The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and Sylvia was an absolute doll. We appreciated the fresh squeezed juice in the mimosas, the soup du jour and salad were amazing, and we both enjoyed our entrees 🙏🏼

Panini Bakery is a charming and relaxed spot known for its delicious sandwiches, pizza, and baked goods. The laminated doughs are described as flaky and buttery, while the cinnamon rolls are praised for their rich flavors without needing icing. Visitors appreciate the courteous staff and excellent coffee. The bakery's sourdough bread bowls and New York style pizza are highly recommended, making it one of the top places to visit on the Oregon Coast.
This is truly a hidden gem. It is a one man operation so it makes sense it opens at 10 am. He bakes and takes care of customers. The bakery is tiny, but everything smells soooo good. I would have taken the three cheese sourdough in an instant if I wasn’t traveling. The apricot danish was too notch and the house brewed, was good. They also have slices of pizza and smoothies. If I lived here, I would be there at least twice per week. Great small place to enjoy some coffee and a pastry, this is a true cafe. I will make it back just so I can come back to but the sourdough, that is how good this place is. Also prices are reasonable, racially compared to the other restaurants.

Had a delicious raspberry cream cheese danish. Very buttery and flaky! Picked up some 3 cheese sourdough for dinner. Can’t wait to try it. Very friendly owner too!

Best cinnamon roll I ever had and it didn't even have icing. I live 7 hours away but I think about that roll all the time. Coffee was really good too

Best pizza on the planet. If you can catch the almond twists, they are also amazing. A truly special, little place with great customer service.
Scott H — Google review
Excellent place for pizza by the slice or a pastry. They also have an espresso machine for any kind of drink you are looking for. They make their own lemonade which is to die for.We ended up buying 2 cases of it.
Tracy S — Google review
I stopped by on a Thursday morning for some pastries for breakfast and selected a croissant, scone, and apricot danish. The bakery has a nice selection of bread, pastries, sandwiches and pizzas. The croissant was dense and thick, the Danish was not really sweet and a little dense, and the scone had good taste. Located in the Nye Beach district of Newport on SW Coast Street near 2nd street. The pastries were a little disappointing, but I did not try the other products in the bakery. The bakery is a local favorite and I would suggest a visit to try the bread and pizza.
Ed L — Google review
Nice variety of fresh made pastries, cookies and bread loafs. The cherry cheese puff pastry is so good.
Scott P — Google review
These guys make ALL the sourdough bread bowls for MO's!!! If you haven't stopped in to try a slice of their sourdough New York style pizza.... you are missing out on one of the greatest bakeries in Oregon! This historic place is charming, delicious and filled with years of baking talent! Great coffee....wonderful morning pastries and INCREDIBLE sourdough rolls! Top 10 places to visit on the Oregon Coast!

Simply Cakes by Jae is a must-visit spot in Cannon Beach, offering an array of craft-filled cupcakes with flavors like pistachio cream, orange custard with mascarpone whipped cream, and chocolate mousse. It's recommended to arrive early as they tend to sell out quickly. Additionally, pre-ordering their mouthwatering homemade cinnamon rolls for Sunday pickup is highly suggested. Customers have been frequenting this establishment for years and praise Jae's friendly and helpful demeanor.
These were the best cupcakes I have ever had. We live in the valley and I called in and ordered a dozen cupcakes white with raspberry filling and aqua colored frosting. The customer service here was excellent. She even went above and added a topper for the birthday girls cupcake. The filling set it apart, it tasted like fresh raspberries. She also made sure my frosting would hold up better at the beach by doing a cross between buttercream and whipped frosting that melted in our mouths! Would recommend to anyone

We have been coming here for years. Which means that we have been in love with the incredible place for years. EVERY TIME we have come to this awesome place Jae has been there and helped us. With her happy and welcoming demeanor. Always friendly and so helpful. Her smile tells us that she is very happy with what she does. So we can't help but to smile right back at her. That's a big part of why we visit her establishment. The other part is her INCREDIBLE 🧁s. Just beyond good. She also has a good variety of flavors. Chances are there is a flavor for you. I like pastries but her cupcakes are beyond a standard pastry. They are very tasty. They smell and look great. We are not sure how she does it but they are very "light". I typically can only eat half a Costco muffin/cupcake and feel really weighed down for the day. The Costco stuff also tastes a bit too sugary. Jae's are perfect. So much so that sometimes I go big and eat 2 and still not feel nearly as sick as half of a Costco muffin/cupcake. Jae's cupcakes are a must anytime you are in the area! You won't regret it!

We called and placed a last minute order for a birthday cake needed next day. Not only was Jae happy to help and extremely friendly, but the vanilla cake with lemon curd and whipped cream frosting was the BEST cake we have ever had! Our entire family agreed that it was the most delicious cake we’d ever eaten. The cake was super light and fluffy, the lemon curd perfectly tart and sweet and the whipped cream frosting was the perfect compliment. Highly recommend! We have decided we’ll be ordering a cake from Jae every time we visit the Oregon Coast from now on— whether there’s a birthday to celebrate or not! So good!
Julie M — Google review
I wanted to get a nice cake for my husband's Birthday, when I asked prices I was a little hesitant to get a large cake as they are a bit pricey. And then I tried one of her cupcakes and was immediately sold. They are SO good that the price is completely worth the quality of cake that you are getting. The cupcakes are different from a larger cake in the sense that they are topped with whipped cream rather than frosting, however, the coconut cream cake we got was the best thing I've eaten. My sisters and I are guessing that she does a Swiss Meringue Buttercream as it is incredibly smooth and not overly sweet. Her cake is super fluffy, and very flavorful. The coconut cream cake comes with a coconut filling/pudding that is to die for. My sisters got the raspberry cupcakes and the lemon curd cupcake. They were all raving about how good they were. If you are in the mood to try her cupcakes my one suggestion would be to get there when they open so you can get what you want as they sell out later in the day, and for good reason!!
Kit G — Google review
Jae was extremely helpful and kind! Made a custom vegan cake for my wife’s birthday on a short notice and the cake was delicious! Took extreme care of the fact that we were vegan and did not include anything that wasn’t needed. Place wasn’t far away from our stay and was in downtown! Highly recommend her cakes!
Tushar J — Google review

Was a little apprehensive after seeing some comments that she was rude. In my experience communicating with Jae, she was nothing but sweet and helpful! Showed up on a busy Labor Day weekend. She was working multiple weddings, taking call in orders and helping me and others picking up in Covid conditions. She speaks loud and she had to be efficient, but was nothing but professional and kind. The cup cakes were absolutely delicious and made for a wonderful birthday celebration. Thank you Jae!
John F — Google review
I called ahead and ordered a birthday cake for my hubby’s 60 birthday, since we were celebrating in Cannon Beach. Because the shop was closed on his birthday, I arranged to collect the cake the day before. I’d ordered a chocolate cream coconut cake with a 60 on top. When I looked at the cake, it was beautiful, but missing the 60! I decided to let it go, since the cake was so nice. Some Happy Birthday candles did the job, and the cake? Superb! Worth every penny, and my husband loved it! Highly recommend. ❤️

Visitors can enjoy the best of Pacific Northwest seafood while taking in the stunning views of the ocean.
It’s the little things that go a long way. And this little spot in Yachats is my go to breakfast, coffee, lounge spot. The ingredients are fresh, savory, healthy, and plant-based. The drinks are creative, flavorful, and delicious. Kid friendly, dietary delectable. The eclectic staff and customers are a highlight of any Coastal trip.

Friendly, funky, and humble breakfast and lunch place. This is not where you take your fussy friend. This is where you take your fun friend. Counter order and retrieve your food, but both indoor and outdoor seating. It got pretty busy and figuring out where the line started/ended got a little confusing. But everyone was good humored and we loved it. Portions were generous.
T T — Google review
This is a fun quirky place. We randomly found it on Maps and decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed at all! 🥹 The place is hip and you can spend a lot of time here as each table has fun games (mostly taro cards, spell books, witchcraft and magic). Their selection of teas and herbs for sale is large and I got a few blends to try myself. The menu has a large vegan and vegetarian option that I loved. I got chorizo breakfast wrap and my friend got an egg and bacon sandwich. 10/10 for both However, the drinks were 🔥. I got the summer special ‘John and Yoko’ and it 10/10. My friend got the Pacific glow smoothie and it was 12/10. 💯 recommend to try this. Vibe 9/10 Food 10/10 Drinks 12/10 🎉 Cost $$ I would love to come back and try their hot cocoa next time. Highly recommend this place 🫶

This place is just awesome! I'm usually not this complimentary about food places but I really can't fault the Green Salmon. Well done everyone there! My breakfast this morning...

Haven't had their coffee, only tea lattes. Can say these are the best tea (or maybe lattes period) lattes I've ever had. This is now my gold standard coffee shop. You absolutely have to stop in. Cashier was hilarious and fabulous as well!! Really loved this place

I would have given this place five stars except for an employee who was rude to my senior mom. We were excited to try the Green Salmon while on a family trip. The cashier was sweet, and all was well until a strangely aggressive woman brought our order out. Since there were a lot of people standing around, my mom simply asked, "Are these for me?" to make sure she wasn't taking another person's order. In the loudest, most sarcastic tone imaginable, the woman gave my mom a contemptuous look and replied, "Oh, YES, they're for YOU! They're for YOU!!" I have no idea why she did this or why she thought it needed to be repeated twice, but it made me sad because my mom just looked startled and confused. I then said, "Mom, they're for YOU, for YOU!" to try and lighten things up, and my mom said, "I don't get why she said that." I said I didn't either. The place is cute, and the coffee is good. But the woman who makes and brings the coffee out has issues. I suggest that she treat people with respect in the future. You never know what someone else is going through, and my mom didn't do anything wrong at all. I don't think I'll be bringing my family back here again.

A very unique and cozy place. The menu is all vegetarian. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Their lemonade is delicious on a hot day. We went a couple times during our weekend in Yachats. We had the breakfast scramble once, and the Cauliflower tacos and Sacred Cow Reuben the second time. They have delicious coffee drinks and fruit smoothies. The staff id friendly and accommodating.

The restaurant provides a friendly and fun environment with comfort food options. It also caters to gluten-free diners by offering a variety of scratch-made gluten-free dishes and take-home items. Visitors praise the delicious shrimp eggs benedict and mimosa, highlighting the perfectly cooked poached eggs and creamy hollandaise sauce.
What a surprise find in Newport! Chalet Restaurant really impressed us — they make the basics taste amazing, from the waffles, eggs, to the French toast, all cooked perfectly. Their jam was also a sweet little highlight. With its cozy diner charm, this spot truly added something special to our morning. Definitely worth stopping by for breakfast!

Another vacation to the coast means another delicious lunch at The Chalet. I have yet to find another restaurant with as fresh of salads as The Chalet. Add a fresh pulled turkey sandwich, and a pice of fresh strawberry pie and you have a yummy and healthy lunch. We are customers for life.

The sandwich was okay. Nothing to write hope about but DEFINITELY not worthwhile the $17 I paid for a half grilled cheese, cup of soup. It did include a slice of pie that I had them package to go. Got in my car and within 10 minutes opened to eat my lemon meringue. Please see attached photos. What I found upon opening was not even a glop. It was like they put the lemon meringue in the microwave and then gave it to me. How does this even happen? I've never seen this happen, ever. I put my fork into the meringue and it crumbled 🤔😱😡. Save yourself and go to McDonalds. I'm not kidding. Also, it was 65 degrees today. This had nothing to do the weather, especially since I opened it 10 min after getting it.

Amazing pancakes and Belgian waffle!! I had the Hazelnut Blueberry Pancakes and my hubby had the Golden Brown Waffle. Both were so delicious!! We loved it so much, we came back the next day! Known for their fresh food made with locally caught fish and produce, it's a popular choice for visitors looking to enjoy delicious scones or grab a light lunch to take back to their vacation rental.
Our favorite for breakfast on the Oregon coast. They go out of their way to make things special. My delight is the French toast, that is out of the world, make sure you get real apple syrup to go with the fresh fruit compote, adds an extra Yum.

Food was amazing! Highly recommend stopping in to get anything on their menu, especially baked goods, to go! The service felt pretty slow on a Saturday morning but we could tell they were very busy and probably needed more people in the kitchen. The serving staff were friendly and again so busy. I thought the place would be quaint and cozy but shockingly loud with how many people were eating, the kitchen partly open, people waiting, and staff moving around. I would totally go back because the food was spectacular just try to time more off hours.

We had a bit of a wait but was totally worth it. My husband and I shared the Dory cod, pineapple, purple onion, and cabbage wrap - it was so good! We also split a bowl of creamy chicken noodle soup with sourdough baguette slices. It was all very delicious.

Probably the best biscuits and gravy I've had anywhere on the Oregon coast. Western Omlete was also Amazing. They seemed a little short handed, so service was on the slower end. Make sure you put your name on the list if you're waiting on a table. Overall excellent nosh!

First time visiting Astoria with daughter-in-law and two grandkids... Cappuccino- perfect! Baked breads- Amazing!!! Everyone "fits" here from locals to college age & young entrepreneurs working the net to retired folk enjoying the day. If there is a classic Astoria coffee shop it would be here- Wonderful!

Great breakfast / lunch spot with delightful takeaway baked goods! Been this place a few times and every time it’s been perfect. Staff are SUPER chirpy and lovely to be around, food is great, and the atmosphere is good. The breakfast burrito is excellent! Good selection of refill coffee on off. Highly recommend!

Great relaxed vibe with just average baked goods. The atmosphere at Blue Scorcher was fun , with a definitely retro-hippie feeling to the venue. Free papers, community notices, and even a little library all add to this relaxed and friendly vibe. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice to experience, especially early in the morning 🌄. The baked goods that I tried were bland and somewhat tasteless. Filling in the almond croissant was absent, and the apple turnover was under-filled. Croissants should be buttery, and this almond croissant was less so! , Disappointed from a baked goods aspect for sure. Cappuccino was just ok, and the tea was good. Final take.....I might try again and order an omelet or a breakfast burrito just for the great relaxed atmosphere at the Blue Scorcher.

Yummy brunch spot! Really good for vegan or vegetarian options. Good sandwich but nothing special. Yummy cold brew, add your creamer and such yourself on the side for coffees. I think I would try another sandwich next time as it wasn’t my favorite. Can get busy, had to wait a bit but was prepared for it! Was super warm sitting inside being so busy but I know that’s hard to avoid on a hot day with no AC.

Holy scrumptious! We have been drinking espresso here for years. The wait has always been too long for breakfast as it's super popular. They've added more seating in the past year and we got in after only a 20 minute wait. Everything was delicious and of high quality. The service is super friendly. We'll be back again soon!

Stopped here while staying farther down the coast, they had a lovely little covered waiting area with drip coffee while we waited for a table to open up it was really relaxing. Excellent food and service! They accommodated my dietary restrictions (gluten free, dairy free) and I did not have any reactions. The chicken on my cobb salad was juicy and my husband had a great garden burger. Plus, he had a triple chunk ginger cookie that was perfectly soft, chewy and spiced with three types of ginger! When in town we'll definitely stop by for more cookies at a minimum.

Very beautiful, calming, and enjoyable food and atmosphere. We loved this little gem on the trip towards the coast! We got the cinnamon rolls and had them heated and cut! It was such a warm spirited team who cared about the customer experience! The lines can get long because this is an amazing place! I had no idea! Living on the coast, our choices are limited. There's plenty of good food out here, but - until now - nothing really special. We came for a special dinner, but didn't realize how special it would be. One of our favorite chefs in Astoria worked with the in-house team at The Pacific Way to make a truly special evening. Dishes highlighted local specialties; oysters, mushrooms, salmon, and seasonal berries. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. Plating and serving were exceptional as well. My only regret is that we didn't take advantage of the excellent wine pairings. Won't make that mistake again!

We had a very pleasant evening and an excellent meal here. We shared two starters. Chili Roasted Carrots were our favorite but the Fried Calamari & Shrimp was definitely a second best. For our main courses two of us had the Lamb Shank and the other two savored the Steak. All meals had interesting flavors. We shared the Burnt Basque Cheesecake as desert. It’s - as far as we know -the only establishment in Gearhart serving dinner.

Beautiful decor with a cute garden out back. Restaurant and bakery. I come here when I visit Seaside. Gerhart is so nice and quiet to take a break from the fun busy seaside. I has a crab chowder and marionberry scone.

Pacific Way Cafe was a great find in Gearhart Oregon. The atmosphere was very calm and cozy, I would say a little on the fancier side, which the pricing indicates, but is reasonable for the quality of food you are getting. We had the Clam Chowder and Dungeness Crab & Shrimp cakes to start. The chowder was good but the crab cakes were fantastic! They were by far my favorite dish of the night. It was served with pickled veggies and a lemon caper yogurt sauce that balanced everything perfectly. After that my boyfriend ordered the Togarashi Halibut and I had the Miso Glazed King Salmon. The Halibut was cooked perfectly and was served with delicious seasoned vegetables that brought a lot of flavor and brightness to the dish all around. It had a slow heat that we liked, but it didn’t impair the flavor experience of the dish. I had the Miso Glazed King Salmon and it was wonderful. The salmon skin had a great crunch that balanced the meat of the salmon well. The Veggies served with it were on the spicer side, still palatable but noticeable, and paired extremely well with the salmon. All in all I feel that the Chef at this restaurant has a passion for the food they are making and a great pallet. Their care and creativity shined through with each dish and I appreciated being able to eat such great quality food in a small coastal town! The service team was also amazing! We had a great experience and would definitely recommend trying it out!

AMAZING food and coffee! However, I ordered a rise and shine which is supposed to have tomato & avocado. I only received ham and cheese but decided it was fine and I wasn’t going to say anything. I went back a 2nd time for a 2nd cup of coffee. I wanted a white sugar free mocha 12oz, $4.25. It rang as $5.25. I asked the girl why and she said she didn’t know. I said well it’s advertised as $4.25, she said it was ringing as $5.25. She then got a manager and manager said it’s ringing up as that and they need to update their sign. I said there should at least be a sign saying the prices are higher until you do update it. It’s not about the $1.00 but more so the principal and the lack of customer service. There was nothing she would do. I paid $5.25 and mentioned that when I came earlier, my sandwich didn’t have tomato or avocado. She said “thanks for your feedback”. I guess I was looking more for an apology for the 2 negative experiences back to back. Food and coffee were great though.

Great “coffee” spot just as you enter the Old Downtown Brandon. We stopped here each of our 3 days in Brandon. Tables inside and also outside, so it’s dog friendly. Lots of coffee/tea options. I’m a picky chai tea drinker and it was great. I’m also all about sweet things. Loved the cinnamon rolls and the cookies, especially the Cranberry Orange cookie. Blown away by the quality of the baked goods here…definitely worth the price. Was expecting the usual baked goods you get at a market but these were seriously something else…picky eater 6 year old even liked them. They even gave out stickers and free bubble tubes for the kids. Chalk and play area outside as well. Great atmosphere and music. Definitely family oriented and high quality food. So pleased with this bakery for exsisting…. 5 out of 5 stars would highly recommend.

It's been several years since I've been here, and not for lack of wanting! They are, unfortunately, open only a few days a week, and I keep coming to the coast on the wrong days. Finally got to go back, and it's even better than I'd remembered! The pastry is light, flaky, and delicious on its own. Add in a filling, such as the rhubarb-cherry, and it's more-ish in the extreme. The cinnamon rose (2 small cinnamon buns in a delightful swirl) were far beyond the usual hyper-sweet cinnamon bun. Melt in your mouth deliciousness. Croissants (yes, we bought way too many delights) are superb. Definitely a highlight in Yachats!

Discovering this hidden gem in the small town brought me immense joy. I was impressed by the variety of freshly baked bread and pastries. The coffee was not only hot and strong but also exceptionally fresh, satisfying my usually discerning taste. With my cup of coffee in hand, I enjoyed watching the waves alongside a delightful pastry. Although I purchased three different loaves of bread, I'd like to suggest improving customer service. The lady assisting me seemed rather abrupt. For instance, when I requested piece made with egg/veggies rather to go, she didn't inquire whether I preferred it warm or not. Nevertheless, my overall experience deserves a five-star rating.

Visitors rave about the drinking chocolate and the variety of flavors available.
I was in town for a day. Saw this place across the street where I was having breakfast. (Alright my kids saw it because they can sense candy from a mile away). Obviously I had to go in. There was a line inside the store and people were waiting for them to bring out the baguettes. I didn’t get one myself but the bread looked fresh and good. Staff were very friendly and helped us choose a bunch of chocolates. The chocolates were not too sweet, which I liked. Would recommend visiting the store if in town.

The highlight of our visit was the salted caramel tart. It was rich and delicious and I would come back just for that. Our brownie was good but nothing memorable or special. I got the triple vanilla cheesecake and could not have been less impressed. If they labeled it as a plain cheesecake and lowered the price I would have been pretty happy but this cheesecake didn't possess any special characteristics that would push it into a realm where I would believe any real amount of vanilla or any special vanilla went into it. Our chocolates were also disappointing especially the caramel ones which was a surprise after the tart. The caramel in their bar and chocolates is essentially colorless. While it possess a caramelized sugar flavor I'm impressed with how little color they work into it and therefore it doesn't have much depth. I don't say any of this with any intention other than providing honest feedback and to share our most honest experience. We would return but we certainly wouldn't venture into chocolates or caramels again.

I enjoyed them at the shelter by the pier, watching fishermen throw crab catches and netting to find their catches of the day. I’m already looking forward to trying their chocolate and Mexican mocha next time!

A must stop in your visit to the quaint seaside town of Bandon. Exceptional baked goods, desserts, chocolates, and coffee. The line forms on the left side of the small shop where you will you be greeted by very kind and attentive staff. I recommend getting there early as they sell out of many things quickly! I adored the flight of hot drinking chocolates! 3 small 2 oz cups. The flight does have to be enjoyed inside the shop but everything else can be taken to-go. Not your traditional hot chocolate, however they do also sell traditional cold chocolate milk. With that, they have a huge plethora of flavors. I tried the mayan, the mexican, and the salted carmel. My favorite hands down is the Mayan. The flavor is dark chocolate and chillis I believe. I tried the pain au chocolat aka the chocolate crossiant. It was buttery flakey and just the perfect ratio of chocolate. A must try if they still have it. The danish was lovely as well. I didn't get to try their bread or baguette unfortunately but will plan for it next time I visit. They only sell bread on Friday and Saturdays. They open earlier at 10:30am do not sell their bread until noon. You can pre-order the bread on their website. Can't wait to come back thank you!

Bakery
Bandon Baking Co & Deli, a beloved establishment in Bandon since the 1970s and under the ownership of Chris and Kim Powell for two decades, is a must-visit. The bakery offers an array of delectable treats such as gigantic cinnamon rolls, cookies, croissants, bagels, pastries, and homemade granola until lunchtime.
Just a wonderful place to go for breakfast. I had Egg Mitts on the two mornings we ate there; my wife had the cinnamon rolls. They were ALL wonderful (Pro Tip: have the Egg Mitt with the Cheddar/Bacon bagel and cheese of your choice; the rest of your day will be Wonderful...just because). We also bought cookies and bagels to take home, along with a couple loaves of bread (my only disappointment was that they didn't have any whole wheat loaves available on their sales rack...but we weren't there first thing in the morning either) I really WISH I had a bakery like this five minutes from my home like I did five minutes away from my Bandon hotel....

Circling back to Bandon on a road trip, we remembered visiting this bakery when we were, unfortunately, too full to partake. On this morning, we took in a cinnamon roll and coffee. By FAR, the best coffee we had all week, not even close. And the cinnamon roll, let's just say... my primary care physician won't be happy, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN DON'T JUDGE ME. Seriously, this place is a local gem, the staff is super friendly, and when (not if) we return to Bandon we will return for lunch.

This is an absolutely amazing bakery. A must stop if you are in Bandon. The quality is off the charts! It's everything a Bakery should be. They can get pretty busy, but the wait is worth it.

Cute & friendly little bakery in downtown Bandon. Lots of delicious options. Had a Mocha, Breakfast Mitt on a freshly baked Cheese/Artichoke bagel. Took home some more goodies which went over well! A must visit!!

The service is fast and friendly and their sandwiches are really good. My son enjoyed the Mediterranean. I love their jalapeno bagels, they are soft with just the right amount of jalapeno. There is a good amount of seating but it can get pretty crowded at busy times. Go early for their pastries!

Fantastic bakery! Cinnamon roll is top notch, and the breakfast burritos were exactly what we needed! Looking forward to snacking on some of the other goodies we bought on the ride home.

Sugar Shack Bakery is a delightful spot offering an array of freshly made treats such as cakes, cookies, pies, donuts, and pastries. In addition to these delectable goodies, they also serve espresso and lunches daily. Visitors rave about the warm and inviting atmosphere created by the friendly staff. The bakery's pecan sticky buns and filled maple bars are highly recommended, along with their Bigfoot donut which is filled with a choice of cream or custard.
Wow...our first visit: 2 thumbs up! Great selection of tasty baked goods. The perfect stop for our 10 AM "Union Break"... even though we're retired! Off the beaten path, but well worth finding.

We were recently traveling on the Oregon coast and passed through Reedsport. We were looking for a place to get an ice cream. We happened upon this lovely bakery and instead of getting ice cream, we chose a bunch of random bakery items. Various cake doughnuts, a scone and a muffin. Everything was EXCELLENT but I will say by FAR was the coconut doughnut. I think I swore when I bit into it because it was so good! 😂. I haven’t been to a real good authentic bakery in a very long time. This was excellent! Enjoy! No really, get the coconut doughnut. 😋🤤

Really great donuts. The maple and chocolate drizzled glaze twist thing was definitely our favorite and we'll be returning just for that. The apple fritter with nuts is a must! Absolutely amazing and will return just for that. The glaze was nice and light with an almost chewy interior which we enjoyed. The old fashioned was really middle of the road. Absolutely nothing wrong with it but nothing about it stood out. The cinnamon roll was decent but I doubt we'd get another. We will absolutely get a walnut apple fritter from now on when we are passing by. The donuts here are fabulous but the service is lackluster. It may have just been the woman that helped us but there's no way someone that sells donuts should be that miserable and disinterested.

We were super stoked to stop in our way home from vacation. We got two scones; one Marionberry, one Blueberry, lava cake and some rolls. Sadly, the rolls were the best part and even they lack flavor some how. Scones were super soft which was nice but the berries in both had 0 flavor. The lemon poppy seed lava cake tasted like it was possibly frozen; again 0 flavor. I gave everything a fighting chance with high hopes but was let down at every turn. Customer service was very sub par, it wasn’t terribly busy but was treated like we were holding up the line of 0 people behind us. Good chance we won’t return.

Intimate bakery filled with delectable delights and delicious smells! Delightfully engaging staff. They walk you from one end of the counter to the other as you select your goodies. We picked up 2 sourdough batards (1 seeded, 1 plain), a small carrot cake, a berry scone, cinnamon roll, 1 snickerdoodle cookie and 1 shortbread square. I am a sourdough aficionado and bake with some regularity. The bread here is 10 out of 10 = perfect! Try to arrive early - when the shelves are full but expect to wait in line. (Would be worth it!) In conclusion: I would travel here just for this bread!

Amazing. Everything looked amazing. Everything tastes amazing. There was about a 30 minute wait in line right at 10am but it was well worth it. Also reasonably priced! And if you have an oven, some great looking pizza dough or pizza on bread. My only regret is not living here to be able to try more things and come every day. A++!

AH-MAZINg bakery. We got Swedish cream (5/5); we loved that it was not super sweet. We got three different kinds of bread. We got 2 stacks of different cookies and varies pastries. So far, we have tried the Jamaican coffee cake, which tastes like Christmas without all the sugar. Crazy good. We also got the cheddar jalapeño croissant we wish we had gotten 4 instead of just one. We waited in line starting at 10am, for 35min to order. Definitely worth the wait.

Very popular bakery, only open limited hours 3 days/week. Check their website. We arrived around 11am on a Thursday and the line was long, but moved reasonably quickly. We were done in 45 minutes. Tons of selection. We bought 7 or 8 different things to try. I loved the strawberry rhubarb pie, my daughter loved the peach raspberry cheesecake, marionberry muffin for my hubby and chocolate torte for my son. All delicious! Very friendly staff running a very organized business. Reasonable prices. Check it out! Yum!

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with Pacific Sourdough!!! This Tuesday, the 26th of August is our 30th wedding anniversary. To be honest, my wife and I have breezed through the years together and I have no idea where the time has gone. That said, I wanted to make our anniversary very special for her. She loves pastries and really good sourdough, so I called the local experts - Pacific Sourdough! We have lived in Waldport for years, but never visited Pacific Sourdough because there is ALWAYS a line around the block to get their tasty treasures! I swore, after I was discharged from the US NAVY, I would NEVER stand in line again! But, for this special day? I would stand in any line for my wife and be thrilled to do so! However,I am completely disabled and unable to stand for more than just a couple of minutes. I called ahead to find out if these fine folks had what my wife likes and of course they did. I spoke with an angel named, Kaitlin. She was AMAZING and informed me that I could go to their website online and place my order and then swing by to pick up our purchase. This was news to me! Of course, I misunderstood and thought they had a drive through! WRONG!!! However, on top of being able to order online -- they also have a window to pick up your order without having to suffer a line. I drove around the block a couple of times looking for the drive through window, but found none. So, I parked and called. My friend Kaitlin answered the phone and was outstanding, as usual. I explained I was looking for the window and she informed me that it was a walk-up window. No problem! Except, I hadn't brought my mobility gear to help me walk. I told her I would be back to pick up our order because I needed to come home to get my gear. She said, no! She guided me into a spot where I could park and SHE brought out order out to me. I can't tell you how much that meant to me! I was blown away!!! A few moments later, I returned home with our very first Pacific Sourdough order! My wife had no idea that I had this surprise planned for her. I ordered a wide arrangement of tasty treats that I know my wife loves. She was gobsmacked when I walked in the door with a huge shopping bag full of baked goods for her. Catered to her unique taste and fancies. Once I began to offload my purchase, I noticed an extra goodie in the bag. A lovely little chocolate tart! One of my wife's favorite things! I had forgotten!!! And, there was a hand-written anniversary card to me and my wife. Kaitlin and Pacific Sourdough had sent us a very special happy anniversary message! I was blown away!!! I'm not one for sweets and pastries... That's my wife's bag. But, I could not resist trying some of it out. HANDS DOWN, the BEST baked goods I have ever put into my gigantic greasy pie hole!!! The sourdough bread? PERFECTION!!! The sweetest!??? UNBELIEVABLE!!! We have lived in this area for years and never bought anything from there because I didn't want to stand in line. But thanks to talking to Kaitlin, I was happy to place my order! The price??? WAY LESS THAN YOU WOULD IMAGINE!!! I brought home an entire brown-paper bag full of the area's finest for around $30 (with tip). Everything I sampled was absolutely spot on perfection! Taste, texture, layers caramelized perfectly, glazed in immaculate baked perfection! I was shocked by it all! Folks... Pay close attention.... Order online! Show up and go straight to the pickup window! Make sure you say hello to Kaylin (because today was her thirty-third birthday and she made sure OUR special occasion was her top priority) because she's good people!!! You won't break the bank with Pacific Sourdough! You will be thrilled with every delicious and succulent morsel of food you cram into your yapper! You cannot walk away from this location with any regret! I have a week of special treats planned for my lovely wife. Today was the first of those surprises. Pacific Sourdough made me look good! They brought the flavor, service, and satisfaction I wanted to deliver to my wife! I'm thrilled!

We are visiting Waldport and someone recommended this place. We went and got a sourdough loaf and a Black Forest cake. I haven’t tried the sourdough yet but couldn’t wait to leave a review because wow, this cake is delicious. Now I wish I had bought more things. This cake is moist, all flavors are present (chocolate, cherry and whipped cream) but are not overpowering. It’s ver balanced and sweet at the right level that you don’t wanna stop eating. Besides the amazing cake, every single person there was happy and smiling, what a good atmosphere. I can’t recommend this enough. The only downside is that this is not close to home :)

Best treats and staff EVER!! Even with the long line and odd parking situation, nothing will ever stop me from coming here and praising it to every. single. soul. I. meet. They have such an incredibly delicious selection of new (and permanent) items that always keeps me running back for more. I’ve never left disappointed. And the staff is amazing and so kind!!!! One time I came in 10 minutes before closing and there was a *whole* cake left that I really wanted, and when they overheard me asking my mom if I should get it, they GAVE it to me for free!!!! It was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me and it truly made my week. I lived in Cali for 2 years and spent the entire time looking for a worthy replacement— and failed miserably. Now I live in Eugene and come back to get treats every month without fail, and I look forward to it every time

Nestled in the Salishan shopping center, Depoe Baykery is a delightful gem that’s worth seeking out during your travels along the Oregon coast. Although it may not be immediately visible from the road, once you step inside, you'll find an array of tempting treats that make choosing just one a delightful challenge. From soft and moist cake donuts to classic apple fritters with a lovely glaze, there's something for everyone.
Had a marionberry bear claw and got this delicious fluffy loaf! The best part was the TASTE! My goodness! And to put garlic cloves in this? It’s just pure yumminess and I highly recommend you stop in. They will also do special multiple baguette orders upon request. Love this little place, our new place to buy bread every week has been found!
Lexy — Google review
The staff were very friendly and the selection of pastries and drinks were good. However, the taste of the pastries themselves were meh. They seemed like regular bread with icing or glaze on top, but usually you expect the bread to be sweet and moist too. The glazed twist had some cinnamon in it (fun!), but was kind of boring. The cinnamon roll looked amazing, but it was actually kind of hard to taste the cinnamon. I think it had other spices like nutmeg and allspice (again, fun!), but just overall dry and boring.
Taylor F — Google review
So many yummy choices! Staff was very friendly and made great recommendations when I couldn't decide what to get. I bought a big molasses cookie for my flight home and it was just how I like it, soft in the middle and plenty of flavor. My marionberry muffin was also enjoyable.
Lorie S — Google review
We were exploring the area south of Lincoln City, and thankfully this Baykery showed up in our search results. It's not really visible from the road, but is conveniently located in the Salishan shopping center. The display cases are full of things designed to make your decisions difficult - lots of classics - cake donuts, fritters, large cookies, even larger cookies, you name it. One thing I did not notice was prices being posted, but my wife and I were both pleasantly surprised with how reasonable the total came to for our haul. They had a pleasant looking seating area near the entry door, but I'm happy to suggest the parking lot of the Alder Island Trailhead just a mile or so north. Munching on baked goods while watching birds coming and going is a great way to spend time.

Apple fritter- good spice and glaze. Soft texture. Good fritter but not our favorite. I'd get another but not something I'd specifically come back for. Donut crusted cake donut- really really good. Soft and moist with a great flavor. I'd get another for sure. Marionberry muffin- good muffin but not much flavor from the marionberry. I'd get another. Turtle Bismarck- more coffee flavor for me than caramel. I enjoyed this one with the filling and pecans. I liked it well enough I'd get another. Molasses cookie- don't need again. Borderline dry. Good flavor but the texture is all off due to the dryness.
Jake S — Google review
Worst apple fritter in my 80 year experience, this is a picture of 4 pieces of apple the size of a pencil eraser in a 4” diameter apple fritter, what’s that all about, and way over priced. Look for yourself
Larry A — Google review
EDIT 8/27/23: Received a reply from the owners stating that the boxes we purchased were day afters. Would like to state for my review, if you're charging $20.35 for a box of day afters, they definitely should last longer given they are in a case all day. There was still wildly inconsistent freshness in the box which for that price shouldn't be the case even a day after. __________________ Tried this on our trip - was very close to our location and part of the Resort Shops a quarter mile down the road. Cute large shop with a huge assortment of different pastries and donuts, including donut boxes to buy ready to go. We picked up 2 boxes and some additional hand pies and donuts. All in all the donuts weren't super sweet, but the reason for the 3 stars is due to the inconsistency with freshness/softness of the donuts. A few of my family members got firmer donuts that didn't age well, while others were very soft and tasty. Would recommend but take care with the possibility of inconsistency in donut quality. ⭐⭐⭐

Excellent marionberry turnover with cream cheese and the cinnamon roll! Many cute cookies and wish my grandsons were here. Seems like a child friendly spot as there were coloring books and regular children's books available. They were also selling colorful handmade crocheted scarves, hats and gloves. If I had needed one, I would definitely have purchased. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Lincoln City.

Captain Dan's is a Lincoln City institution; a must-visit location for anyone staying here or just passing through. The shop itself is an over-the-top nod to pirates, with Captain Dan himself donning his signature pirate hat during business hours. This is a perfect place to bring your family and kids. The turnovers are delicious and even better served warm if you have time to dine in. The cookies are amazing and priced very modestly, only $0.60 each for most. Grab a bag for your drive to beat road trip hunger or to take down to Taft Beach. Simply put, you must visit this pastry shop!
Matthew G — Google review
This woman clearly would've rather been hanging by her toenails in an outhouse on a 110 degree day than working there when we went in. That said, they have delicious cookies, but the brownies and lemon bars were almost 4 bucks each and super tiny so we didn't even try them, and the turnovers were very flat and greasy looking so we passed on them as well. The 3 stars are because their cookies are very good. But the atmosphere is a big nope.
Lisa — Google review
Pirate Dan is a genius with pastry. The lemon turnovers were the best I’ve ever had. Seriously. The crust was tender and the lemon filling was Fantastic. The bear claws may not look like the traditional bear claws you are used to but they were delicious - almondy with a delicate crust. Do not judge a pastry by its appearance or price. I will go back again and again just for the lemon turnover as well as to try new pastries. Thank you Pirate Dan for a fabulous morning.
Spookycrank — Google review
Owners were nice, I had no issues with them. The pastries (marionberry turnover and cinn roll) were super delicious. It was a little off putting(?) how empty their cases were. Being a bakery I would think they would be full of baked goods and their prices seemed a little high, but not crazy and with how good they tasted, not bad for a treat. I'll probably go back for another turnover when I'm back in town. Also, very short hours; always closed when I want to go.
Jarod's O — Google review
Great desserts. They have everything from cake to many different kinds of cookies and pastries of all varieties and a great gluten-free selection as well. I stopped by every time I'm in town for a couple of sugar cookies. There's are the best.
Osubeav21 — Google review
I saw their advertisement in the paper for their shipwreck turnover. It has bacon so I'm sold. Well it's supposed to have cream cheese as well but mine definitely did not have any or it was miniscule if so. That was a let down as I love cream cheese in my turnovers and danishes. It was still okay though. I would prefer the bacon a little crispier so there is a nice crunch. The cinnamon roll however was phenomenal. I think it must have had rose water or something in it that just gave it a nice edge but not too overpowering either.
Jayson S — Google review
I have no idea what the $20 in pastries taste like but I know how much soap the left in it. It was all I could taste. Even hours and a gas station muffin later, soap. The coffee was bitter and she microwaved it. That is not espresso. I will never go here again.

This is baked good heaven, and they have both sweet and savory. The coffee here is pretty delicious too and there’s a wide variety of choices of breads as well. They sell these things called sand dollars which are like a classy hot pocket. You can get them filled with lots of sweet things, but you can also get them savory with flavors like sausage, pizza, and turkey. On Sunday there is a line out the door and they sell out of favorites like the biscuits and gravy so you’ll wanna show up before nine if you want the full selection.

Amazing pastries and coffee! We have to stop here every morning when we are in town. I definitely recommend going right at opening to make sure they aren’t sold out of certain pastries. Their biscuit with gravy and apple turnovers are my favorite! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and always make the experience that much sweeter

This was the best random stop on a short drive up the coast. I ended up getting more than I intended because it all looked amazing! Do not leave without one of those sand dollar hand pies! The chocolate, and the strawberry cream cheese are both amazing, but they likely all are. Also tried the biscones. Would love to try the cheddar bacon one with gravy next time, though it was really good on its own, very moist and delicious. The blueberry one didn’t get eaten until 2 days later and it was still great!

I ordered a bunch of pies and pastries to try. I have: ham & sausage pies - warm, delicious with generous fillings Bear claw, lemon & cream cheese danishes, mixed berries and chocolate sand dollars, and marionberry scone - all very yummy 😋 When I walked in, there was only a pair of customers. Soon after, there was a long time after me. The overall service and atmosphere were alright. Everyone seemed to be friendly except one. When I asked her what was the pastry she was holding as label on the shelf was not visible, she gave me a look I didn't quite like. Fortunately she was not helping me to get my order, otherwise I would have walked out in an instant.

Get the blueberry scone biscuit thing. It was SO good. The coffee wasn't great, though. The staff were not overly friendly, and the girl taking my order was complaining about work and being busy to her coworkers in front of customers. She basically laughed at me when I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk because she said it wouldn't turn out right. Said the same thing to my husband and he said he didn't mind, he still wanted it. She just made him a latte instead.

Stopped in this little bakeshop for a pastry. Was greeted with a smile and a welcome in. Immediately asked how they could help me and explained some of their specialties. I ended up ordering a couple of their chocolate pie pastries to go. It had a nice buttery flavor and flaky crust filled a yummy chocolate pudding filling. I gave it 5 stars due to the combination of quality of food and friendly service. I will go back to try other items on their menu. Excellent customer service experience.

Every delicious treat the Bayfront Bakery makes, is truly made with love! It's evident by the lines out the door, that the local folks are clearly obsessed with the sweet and savory morsels from this hometown favorite! If you're thinking of checking out the amazing treats, you better get there early! The word has spread, and people drive from all over for the chance to indulge their sweet tooth cravings! If you are lucky enough to get through the lines, I highly recommend the scrumptious apple fritters and hand dipped macaroons! You too will become as obsessed as the locals, after your first bite!

I'm so happy I found this place, what a wonderful bakery and their doughnuts are terrific. The prices are amazingly reasonable too. I was a bit sad the older couple running it have no succession plan. Sadly their children have other careers and they haven't had any of the younger generation interested, apparently due to the hours and actually having to do some real work. They are so talented, someone or a couple really should jump on the opportunity to learn the business and eventually buy them out. The thought it will just end when they retire is a sad one indeed. Meantime, stop by for some yummies!

Cute little bakery, we bought some tomato basil sandwich rolls, and a key lime cannoli. Everything was wonderful, but the hours on here are either incorrect, or the place opens sporadically. If you're in search of a delightful way to kickstart your day, look no further than My Petite Sweet, a charming coastal bakery that caters to all taste buds. With an impressive array of baked goods, including a daily selection of mini cupcakes, it's the perfect spot to grab a dozen treats for your stay at Oliva Beach. The talented Michelle not only crafts stunning wedding cakes but also creates mouthwatering flavors that leave guests raving.
Omg. Run, do not walk here. Husband and I stayed at Coho and went by for breakfast. I got a cinnamon roll and he got a cherry cheesecake. The portions are so large that we had some the next day. Amazing. The smell of the bakery literally hits you in the face when you walk in. It smelled soooo good. If we lived in OR, I would seriously make the drive to buy up sweets for when guests visit. 💓

This review is long overdue. I bought a small wedding cake and a handful of cupcakes for my wedding. The price was very reasonable and they looked exactly like my inspiration photos. I reached out way too late (4 weeks before my wedding) and they accepted my order with no issues. Michelle worked with my wedding coordinator and they both made everything so easy. We went for champagne cupcakes with strawberry frosting and banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. They were DELICIOUS and we received so many compliments. I highly recommend My Petite Sweet!

My Petite Sweet is a super fun little bakery with a huge selection of cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and even some bread. The location has seating in two separate areas. The gooey butter cake was very tasty and huge a little, too sweet for my taste and not butter buttery enough but overall good. The chicken and cheese croissant turnover was good, but nothing to write home about. I would have liked it better with more cheese. The dreamsickle cake was massive and tasty. However, the frosting was not as good as the cake. It was kind of like grocery store-bought grade. Based on my preferences, it’s not my favorite but overall very good and definitely still five stars.

Wow! This Bakery went Above & Beyond to make my mom’s 70th Birthday Extra Special ❤️ My mom has recently been diagnosed Celiac Disease & always used to make Turtle Cheesecake but hasn’t had any since her diagnosis. I reached out via FB to inquire if they could make me a GF Cheesecake last minute & they came through in less than 48 hrs!! When I say that this cheesecake was the BEST Turtle Cheesecake I have ever had, that’s even an understatement! She took such care to make every layer of this Cheesecake delicious! THANK YOU AGAIN!!! ❤️

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This place is absolutely amazing! If you are going to be traveling through, visiting or even live anywhere close to this place you should 100% visit. We came to Lincoln City for my husband’s birthday weekend. I wanted to surprise him with cupcakes. My husband has a bleach allergy so finding places that don’t use bleached flour is so hard. I emailed Michelle and she said she would get unbleached flour if needed to make the cupcakes for my husband. I ordered 12 cupcakes 3 different flavors not only were they beautiful they tasted amazing. My husband loved them and from start to finish the customer service was fantastic. Michelle was incredible her staff was so nice even offered to carry the cupcakes to my car for me. You can totally tell everyone that works at this place loves what they do! Don’t miss out on this place when you visit! I wish we could have had our wedding cake done here. Definitely will come back next time we are in the area.

This beautiful cake was designed and created by this amazing bakery. Our sister’s birthday celebration this year is quite special and we are so grateful for the care, kindness and support you and your staff showed our family.

Thank you so much for the custom apple crisp—it was a big hit and absolutely delicious! The kids loved the cupcakes as well. If you’re looking for a fantastic baker at the beach, I highly recommend this place. The ordering process was smooth, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Great coffee, impeccable decor, and a very friendly cat - what more can you ask for? I got the lemon loaf and it was delicious, with a moist and fluffy texture and lemon flavor all the way through, not just in the icing.

We stopped at this place during a road trip, and it was quite interesting. The inside of the store is very eerie and is filled with various objects. It really reminded me of a place where there are regular cult meeting. Baked products we bought, though, were tasty and it was a great experience. Apple pies are especially delicious.

A great stop while making your way through Port Orford. We stayed in her AirBnB next door (incredible) and in the morning we walked in and she was welcoming, kind, and had a great selection of pastries, cheese, meats, crackers, and the coffee was really good! Everything in the shop was mesmerizing- I could have looked around for hours. Make sure to say hi to the turtle!

Sensational baked goods! Delightfully creative upcycled art inside and out. And Kate's The Best. A Port Orford treasure. Summer Farmers Market is fun, too.

Delicious carrot cake Kate made for out daughter's Birthday. Because of limited hours, Kate was kind enough to meet me at a prearranged time so that we could enjoy this special cake. Thank you Kate!
