they did a really nice job on a cake i got for my friends birthday. i asked for the most tropical fruits they had and the person recommended banana cake with banana custard and pineapple icing. it turned out beautifully, i will say the banana cake was a little dry and overbaked but the custard was INCREDIBLE. also liked that the icing had fresh bits of pineapple and wasn’t too sweet. very friendly service and the shop was super cute too.

Incompetent to say the least and mostly just a scam to take your money for the least amount of work. Wasn’t what I ordered, it was sloppy and disgusting. It wasn’t ready or even started when I arrived and it was dry! I emailed this company asking if they could make a Buttercream knife palate painted cake and sent 2 pictures (attached) I got a call from them and spoke to a woman who said they absolutely could and it was no problem. We discussed all the details of the cake and I felt confident about my decision of choosing this bakery with 100 years of experience. I arrived this past Friday Feb 21, 2025 at 12:15pm for my agreed time 12:30pm pick it up time. I was told it would be 10 minutes. I happened to look to my left and saw a man just starting what looked to be the cake colors I ordered. 45 minutes later the cake was brought to me unfinished. I was very confused bc it looked nothing like the pictures I sent. It was messy and sloppy. 25 minutes later they said it was done, it was awful and nothing like what I ordered. I asked them to fix it 3 times and every time I was met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. This isn’t a design you just whip out of a plastic icing bag, as the buttercream is to be painted on with a knife and refrigerated. It takes skill which I found this bakery does not have. The cake is supposed to be more taller than wide. The bakery lied to me, was unprofessional, rude, and completely incompetent. When you say you can recreate a cake and charge $95.00 for it, I expect you to make it as close to possible as promised. I was over a hour and a half late as it was, due to them not even starting until after i got there and was on the way to the party and had to purchase this cake to not show up empty handed. The cake was tasteless and dry and beyond a disappointment.This bakery is a scam and I wouldn’t waste your time or money here. We would have been better off getting a cake at the dollar tree lol Update: I called the bakery and a manager got on the phone and ripped me apart and said I expected too much! HAHAHA! Then don’t lie to your customers about your abilities and expectations will be low as they should?? I think Helen Bernhard would be disgusted and highly disappointed by the people running her bakery these days. I bet she was great.

So many delicious treats to choose from. I went late on Sunday afternoon and a few of the cases were discounted half off but they still tasted fresh when we enjoyed at home. The cake donuts and sticky bun were my favorites. I will definitely go back again earlier in the day next time to catch some different items.

Ordered this cake for my girlfriend’s 27th birthday and it turned out absolutely amazing, they went off the inspo pic I sent and it turned out so beautiful. They’re not overpriced either which I really appreciate as most bakeries charge far too much for a custom cake. Highly recommend getting your cake through here!

Must be a traditional favorite for natives, so since I am not native to the area, I did not see the appeal. I found better baked goods in a small bakery run by a German couple in Pontiac, IL. The line employees were pleasant and friendly enough, and I would have given four stars, but that was diminished by the manager lady, who was quite rude. No smile, no thank you, no friendly demeanor. She upbraided me for not knowing how to open the entrance door, but since I had never been there, how was I supposed to know? Notwithstanding that, no need to act like that. I was quite taken aback by such treatment. Hope she is not like that to staff, but if so, I feel sorry for them. Interior quite quaint and pleasant but too small to hold more than a handful of patrons.

Best cupcakes we've ever had. The two girls that were working today (8/15) were amazing, we were here from out of town and they made some birthday magic for my daughter! Definitely come here for special occasions, or no occasion at all!!

Out of this world cupcakes. My personal favorite was the carrot cake. This is definitely going to be my go to spot for cupcakes now and the prices are amazing too! All these cupcakes for only 14 dollars! I love that you can get mini cupcakes of their big cupcakes if you’re like me and someone who is indecisive or wants to try a variety of flavors to find their favorite.

I ordered cupcakes and a cake for an 80th birthday party I was throwing for a dear friend. Oh my goodness. They were so delicious. They were kind enough to change out the sprinkles and decorations to match the colors of our party. We had the carrot cake as our 8" 3 tiered cake and there wasn't a crumb of it left. We also had lemon, vanilla with chocolate buttercream, red velvet and toasted coconut cupcakes. Everyone was asking where they came from and raving about how delicious it was. Yum! I ordered a Pecan cup cake and Lemon cupcake and they were delicious! The texture was moist and not crumby. Overall the flavor was nicely balanced as the frosting was not too sweet, and cake portion was light. The individual who were working were very kind and helped answer any questions without hesitation. Great stop for a great cupcake!

All of my experiences with Fat Cupcake have been great. I recently hired them to make a heart shaped caked and many dozens of mini cupcakes for a wedding. Sierra's communication and patience while we figured out all the details, was much appreciated. Everything was beautifully decorated and delicious. Our guests were so excited to have Fat Cupcake there. We picked up at the Oregon City location which is always equally as charming and nice as the Portland store. Great value!

We had been looking for a place to get our cupcake craving fix since moving to Oregon and we loved this place! We ended up using them for our wedding and they were incredible. The staff was great at answering all of our questions and having everything ready on the day of. We got to provide our guests with so many options (including vegan). I’ve been going to FAT Cupcake for years. I love all of their cakes and cupcakes. The new location on Woodstock is super cute. If you don’t see something on display you can ask for it and they usually have it on the back. Greatly recommend checking them out!

A quintessential Portland restaurant. It is very Portland like atmosphere. The food is good, just hope they have a slightly larger menu. But that maybe the part it makes a Portland restaurant. Service is good and staff are nice. I wish I had a bigger stomach to enjoy their dessert. Nice place to hang out.

We happened upon Papa Haydn while walking and decided to come back for dinner. It was one of the best decisions of our whole vacation. Every item ordered was delicious, including the mocktail, salad, entree, and dessert. It was also surprisingly affordable for the high quality of food. Definitely stop in if you can, even if only for dessert.

We came for dinner without reservations the Sunday before Christmas!!! Crazy us, but we were patient and ended up with a pretty short wait! Our server was awesome and the food was absolutely delicious. I used to say this was a great place for dessert but just skip dinner… twice, now, I have been wrong in a short span of time. Dinner was so good! I think it rivaled my dessert! Haha! Will definitely revisit for special occasions.

Went in for dessert and a night cap around 9 pm. the baked Alaska was top notch. the waitress we had must have had a long she was checked out with 2 more hours until they close. I will be back to try other items on the menu

We didn't have reservations, but they seated us quickly. But, it was down hill from there. Placed our order and waited and waited and waited. 40 minutes later we were served. Then we made the error of ordering their famous desserts and waited and waited and waited. They were not busy, but somehow everything took a very long. The food quality is only average. The desserts look the part, but are really hit or miss. Finally, this place does have a kids menu, but it really isn't kid friendly. Everyone will give you're group dirty looks if you bring in kids under 12.

My crab cake was cool and the egg was cold. Luckily potatoes very hot to bring some warmth to the dish. For those prices I expected more. . When I brought it home and reheated my liking. My partner who is a chef tasted it and said they must be afraid of the salt shaker there :(

Visiting from Texas, I didn't expect to be blown away by the filet mignon, easily one of the best I've had. Just the right amount of char and a sweet sauce to balance the bitterness. The broccoli and potatoes wanted a little salt but that may just be my palette. Really enjoyed the cocktails as well, they weren't overpowering and really delivered on the described flavor. Brittany's service was attentive and much appreciated, the entire staff was very pleasant as well. Edit as of summer 2025: They've improved on perfection, the Collete steak absolutely impresses with a chimichurri sauce and buttery savor to support the potatoes and asparagus. 10/10 They update their menu fairly often, the ribeye is still very good although sides are now a la carte, the included sweet salad was quite good

Great bakery right in the heart of hillsdale village! They have become a local favorite for many years now with awesome bread, sandwiches and especially pastries! Their crumb cake is iconic and sticky buns are epic! Their Katie bun is a personal favorite - like a croissant with a hint of sweet! Take home some shortbread cookies for later too

This place makes great pastries. It is a hit with kids, naturally. You can order online and pick at a different line. I wish they had more breakfast sandwiches options but I don’t think I could bare the line if they did.

Anytime I find myself nearby ( we live about 25 minutes away) , I make a beeline for Baker and Spice to load up on their delicious breads (we are addicted to the sandwich loaf). They have a super solid selection of both sweet and savory pastries, cakes,and excellent take and bake biscuits. The best bakery I have tried in SW PDX.

I adore this little bakery! So happy to have them in Hillsdale. Things I love include (but are not limited to) their chocolate croissants, Katie buns, sandwich cookies, grab and go sandwiches, and fruit tarts.

Their sandwich cookies are one of the best treats I’ve had from a bakery in a long while! Totally worth the price! So far, I’ve tried a few of the flavors, and I am never disappointed.

When you walk in, you have to take a number and wait for it to be called. That system caused a bit of confusion since it was pretty loud inside and hard to hear when numbers were being announced, so things got a little out of order but it was quickly and easily fixed. The pastries were excellent! There’s a nice selection of sweet options. We had the biscuit and egg, which was very good—the biscuit was moist and fluffy. We also tried the honey cream tart and caramel cheesecake; the cheesecake was super good and the cream tart was light and airy. One of the downsides is the seating. The tables are quite small and a little uncomfortable, but overall it’s a great spot for pastries and a quick bite.

We ordered some late night cake from uber eats - so first off it gets extra points for being one of the rare dessert places open late. Most of the cakes themselves were good but a little on the dryer side. However if I would’ve only ordered the cake that was cheesecake + brownie it would have gotten a 5 - that one was INCREDIBLE. All in all, good option for late night delivery and go for the cheesecake cake.

First off I want to say this whole experience is based off me ordering through doordash. I have not actually been to this business just ordered from it. When the driver handed me the two boxes, I asked him if this was everything I ordered. He looked at me weird said yes and drove off. I asked because I ordered 6 items and could not figure out how all of it could fit in these two small boxes. Unfortunately it did all fit, it was just not as described. Id like to point out I am aware that doordash obviously has higher prices. But with the description and the higher price we were led to believe we were getting something different. We got 3 "Jumbo" cupcakes for 6.95 each. 2 peanut butter brownies at 3.75 each and a oatmeal butter scotch cookie wedge for 1.85 dollars a piece. Cupcakes- Overall they tasted good. But what was disappointing is that the picture made them look like they were very large. They appeared to be the size of the old Costco muffins and they are titled as Jumbo cupcakes. They were normal size cupcakes. Half of which were frosting. Which I didn't mind a lot of frosting, but my wife did not like it at all. She thought it was way too much and not balanced. Here is how each cupcake was: Red velvet jumbo cupcake- Rich flavor, chocolate chips on top/ in the middle, then a thick layer the cream cheese frosting. It was delicious. This was the one I got. I thought it was great, just as previously mentioned it was way smaller than expected and a ton of frosting. Carrot cake Jumbo cupcake- we both thought it was good tasting, but weird chunks in it that aren't listed anywhere what they are. It said no raisins and no nuts but we were not sure what the chunks were...apples maybe. Plain Jane Jumbo cupcake- kid loved it, ate more of this, then he normally eats of a typical cupcake. Chocolate peanut butter joy brownie- this was the size of two small adult fingers. Again not what I expected. It also was just a basic okay brownie with a decent peanut butter frosting. It was fine. As for the cookie...we'll we haven't tried it yet, after the other disappointments. But again, it was very small. Someone took a smaller sized standard cookie and then cut it into quarters. This is one of those quarters. So essentially nothing felt like it was worth the massively overpriced items we got. Look, if it was described and pictured acurately and I paid half the price, this review would be much different. With that said, I Would absolutely not go here again unless the prices were cut in half. It is highly unlikely doordash was that much higher in price.

I called in to place an order for a cake to have at an event I was holding a few days later, and the gal on the phone was able to guide me to the perfect vegan cake: Irish Oatmeal! It looked beautiful and tasted even better! It was simply amazing (and when heated up tastes like a butterscotch cinnamon roll). All the party-goers were non-vegan aside from myself, and everyone ranted about how delicious the cake was, and would never have known it was vegan. We will definitely be purchasing from here in the future. Next time, if I'm looking for something a little lighter, I may try the lemon coconut supreme with marionberry. You know how every time you order cake for a party you know you'll have a ton leftover because all your guests will act like they don't eat cake? That is not the case with this bakery. That cake will be gone. The owner is a delight to talk to and is extremely helpful and transparent. She recommended the exact right amount for my party, offered a range of options in different price ranges, and clearly loves what she does. My guests were literally taking pictures of the box because they liked the Gorilla cake so much.

This bakery truly saved the day! I needed a large, detailed cake for 20 people with only two days’ notice, and they delivered beyond all expectations. The owner personally took the time to go over every detail with me and even looked up and ordered a specialized cake topper on Amazon to make it perfect. They decorated the cake beautifully, even adding crystals for an extra touch of sparkle. Pickup was easy, and the cake was absolutely stunning — and even more delicious than it looked! Everyone raved about it. I would 100% recommend this bakery and will be using them for all our cake needs going forward!

I've been driving past Piece of Cake for years. Looks like a quirky Portland bakery. Decided to order my husbands birthday cake. Talked with the owner on the phone. She sent some pictures of design ideas. I choose one, selected the flavors and size. One layer chocolate, six inch, "photo" top. $130!! After I realized she wasn't joking, I felt that supporting local businesses is important, swallowed hard and said "yes". The cake? Nothing special. I won't return. BTW, she should use some of her high prices to fix the place up. What a mess.

Ordered a Black Forest cake for an 88th birthday celebration. The chocolate cake was perfectly moist, chocolate frosting divine, and perfect/traditional cherries. Even the so-called “non-cake eaters” loved it! The cake was clearly made with high quality ingredients. We accompanied the cake with freshly whipped heavy cream (as a side option). Will use Piece of Cake for all future cake orders in Portland.

Farina Bakery is famous for their macarons. We have been there multiple times. The team members are very friendly. The place is clean. We ordered Lemon Curd with Mixed Berries Danish, Lemon Poppy Seed Scone with Raspberry Glaze, Creamy Pesto Pop Tart, Everything Bagel Galette, and a Gift Box of 1 Dozen Assorted Macarons. They are all very delicious.

Didn’t know I loved macarons until I tried one from Farina Bakery! It was really hard to choose just one from the delicious flavors they offer. I tried the horchata macaron and the mini marionberry poptart. YUM. The poptart was a perfect balance of sweet and tart from the berries and it was truly a taste of Oregon. The macaron had the classic soft-chewy texture with delicious toasted cinnamon flavor. There was plenty of seating inside and I loved the wall murals and colorful decorations. It was not crowded at 11am on a Sunday but a lot of the baked goods behind the glass were already gone, so I’d recommend visiting earlier in the morning. I also had a cup of English Breakfast tea which paired nicely with my treats. A macaron, a poptart, and a cup of tea all for just $10! I will be back to try more soon!

Super cute & clean location with lots of yummy options and places to sit or work on things. Whether dining in or getting it delivered, it’s always packaged/presented with such care. I highly recommend the cream puff or the animal cookie macaron. The staff was nice as well. Julia went above and beyond to make it a great experience and was so helpful! I highly recommend this bakery.

The selection looks amazing. The macarons are well made. The creampuff and cheese cake was delicious. Unfortunately, the frosting was a heavy, dense buttery flavor.I couldn't eat half of the cupcake as it broke apart and all that was left was a pile of the unflattering frosting. I'd stick with the other items and definitely the macarons.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes easily through their online menu. It was clearly communicated that any edits or additions must be submitted 48 hours before the pick up or delivery date. I emailed them to add another dozen cupcakes and they responded quickly, invoiced me and made the payment process easy. All the guests loved the cupcakes. I got specific compliments on both the cake and frosting. I will absolutely order from Farina again.

AMAZING! I ordered a custom cake for my husbands birthday and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone I interacted with by phone and email was great and the process was so easy. I sent a few inspiration photos and the cake design was spot on. The taste was amazing, one of the best chocolate cakes we’ve ever had. We loved the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate ganache. Could not recommend more! My only issue now is that I live across the country from this bakery because I want to try everything!

Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and tasted even better than it looked! We chose the strawberry shortcake with homemade buttercream - truly next level delicious. I'm a local photographer and recently had the opportunity to work with Dream Cakes for the first time for a styled shoot I was co-hosting. We sent Johannah a few inspo pics of what we were looking for and what she came up with was above and beyond! May 2025 We were from out of state and holding our wedding here in Vancouver. Felt a little nervous looking up a wedding baker in a town we didn't know. Dream cakes had the best ratings. Checked her site and noticed she uses pastry vocabulary that demonstrates deep knowledge of the art. I'm a pastry chef myself and knew right away I could trust her work. Felt nervous at the prices but ordered the smallest two layered cake. I was BLOWN AWAY when I finally tasted it. Moist cake, not dry, fresh fruit, ganash that didn't taste like it was mostly sugar, and a buttercream frosting that's better than any cheap chemical frosting you might get on a cake from Walmart. We were eating it for breakfast the next day. Johanna was great to communicate with, everything was ready on pick up, and she even had us come back to drop of the plexiglass bottom for a slight refund and a military discount that wasn't initially added to the pay online. 100% recommend.

My kids and I went in for an afternoon treat and we were so delighted by the atmosphere and selection! They have recently reopened after a full remodel, and the vibe is so sweet and adorable. It is shockingly hard to find afternoon sweet treats in this neighborhood outside of a grocery store or ice cream, and DB absolutely delivers. Our cupcake and banana pudding were DELICIOUS. Saw the lights on late and stopped by, but there was a private party going on. The owner came out and had a nice conversation with us and ended up giving us free cupcakes! They were so kind and the cupcakes were delicious. (Strawberry shortcake was perfect!) Definitely will be back.

Some of the BEST cinnamon rolls I've ever had. I recently ordered the cinnamon rolls (which are always all vegan) for a work event that included vegans and non-vegans. Everyone loved them, and the extras went home to spouses and family who also loved them. I wish I'd taken a photo, but I can assure you they are as lovely and large as they appear on their Instagram. 10/10 would recommend!!

We ordered a cake tasting from DB, and really enjoyed the cakes and additional treats. Additionally, we purchased cupcakes, cookies and brownies while we were in the shop. They were tasty, so we wanted to work with them for our wedding. We sent a message to discuss questions/options through their website, as instructed. The first response took more than a few business days to receive back. From there, every response has taken a very long time to receive. To be fair during our last response to DB it did take two weeks to respond. However, we did apologize and explain we were both very sick. I have emailed twice looking to discuss further with no response in over three weeks. I assume they no longer want to work with us. However, a polite response with that expressed would have been more professional than leaving us hanging for weeks. We went with our second choice, and will not be recommending this bakery moving forward.

Ordered cup cakes (including vegan option) and brownies for an event. They were flexible with postponing the original order due to the ice storm postponing the event last minute. I really appreciate their attentiveness and flexibility. Every thing is so cute and yummy! The vegan option is very good we couldn’t even tell it’s vegan. They are so nice and helped me bring the boxes of treats to my car when I picked up. Would definitely order dessert from them again!

I was looking forward to giving this place a five star review but unfortunately they did not meet the standards I had high hopes for. The cake was pricey for the size but it was for my partner so I was willing to give it a shot since we wanted to support African American owned businesses. I specifically asked for there to be a drip when I ordered the cake weeks in advance, dark chocolate drip was my request. It was disappointing to see your custom order not customized. When the person at the bakery showed me the cake, I did not have enough energy to talk to them about their mistake since it was a long day for me and wanted to taste it rather than base it off only appearance. The cake was far too sweet to a point where it made your teeth hurt, and I was not the only person who felt that way. Still it was flavorful so I was okay with it. But then I found this piece of plastic/tape in my mouth(pictured). That completely ruined my experience but I was grateful my partner did not have to eat that on his birthday. This was only my first experience with the bakery but I would not recommend this to anyone else nor would I return.

It's very close to the Washington Park and I walked in from the park. There are maybe bakeries to choose from. I like palmier so I ordered the one. It's the last one. Amazingly good. Both coffee and bakeries are reasonably priced and the staff are very kind and helpful. There are long table 8 and small round tables for two people. Big window and old fashion interior. I love here.

This bakery has been on my favorites for a while and I finally got around to trying it. It definitely lived up to my expectations. I got the seasonal vegetable quiche and it was soo good. My friend and I both got the Oregon croissant which was delicious. The ingredients and bread here are so fresh. You walk in and it smells amazing. However, it was definitely busy and had a line around 9:30am but I would wait for another pastry here anytime.

TLDR; amazing tarts, may probably have to take it to go since tables might not be available We came in late in the afternoon and just got a small mocha, an apple tart and a chocolate hazelnut tart between the two of us. We did get lucky enough to get a table because someone left as soon as we ordered but the place was absolutely FULL when we arrived! The coffee is nice - not too sweet (which is always an issue with mochas), not acidic, super smooth. Love that they have an 8oz size! The tarts were delicious too - I did like the apple tart more than the chocolate hazelnut (which surprised me) - the apple almond combination really was what did it for me! The chocolate one is still pretty nice too- again, not too sweet, very rich with a hint of bitterness. The crust on both was really good - broke easily, not dry, not soggy.

We had lunch here at noon on July 26. The almond croissant and apricot tart were both tasty. My partner said his sandwich, Ken's hero, was quite good as well. I didn't see any flies, but I saw some dust around the A/C. Everything else looked clean.

The baked goods and food is delicious!!! we got the vegetable and bacon quiche, as well as a carrot cake, some type of bread that had goat cheese and leeks in it, and two coffees. My coffee was called something ay laite with homemade vanilla and oat milk in it. It was delicious and then we took it next-door to the bookstore and red ball. We hung out. It was absolutely lovely. I highly recommend. Also the Customer Service was very nice and everyone there seemed friendly has a nice welcoming vibe.

We stopped in for a quick lunch, and got a sandwich, soup, and pastry. Sandwich was good, but the highlight was definitely the bread and the pastry we ordered. The baked goods definitely seemed to be a step above the rest, which is what you would expect. Worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood. Definitely a local haunt if you live nearby. Overall 7.3/10.

Here is a memory from my breakfast visit to Ken’s. A lady beside me is taking notes from a science book she is reading. A woman on the long table was crying, freshly wounded by the disclosure of a disappointment. Her two friends huddled her for comfort. My mother in front of me, looking radiant in the morning light while we slowly make our way through the goats cheese and leek croissant and the Oregon croissant whose tart filling perfectly encapsulate the chilly fresh air I breathed in my days here. A cup of mocha that is rich and whose vanilla bean fragrance wafts. Lines that snake to the entrance of people eagerly waiting for their pastries. It was nothing but warmth. And just like that, my morning is made.

I've been going to Kyra's for years (and getting cakes for almost every birthday) and I finally got to contact them for my wedding cake! From start to finish the communication was great, the tasting was delicious, and the final product was stunning. While there was a mishap (unnecessary for the detail of it) because I can assure you Kyra's took amazing steps to make it right and truly cares about their customer. Like I told them and continue to tell my friends, I'm a lifelong Kyra's fan and can't wait to order my next cake from them. Thank you for making our beautiful wedding cake! As always, it was delicious.

Kyra's Bake Shop made our dream cake come to life for our celestial wedding. All we cold find were AI mock ups of what we were envisioning. At our first consultation we were walked through what was possible based on our wants and we were given the actual moon. <3 It came out beautiful as you can see. We got Lavender cake with Marionberry Jam filling and Marionberry Buttercream frosting. That flavor haunts me in the best way. All of the desserts we choose as well were so good. Our guests were raving about them!. The YETI BARS!!! OMG! Thank you for the amazing experience and the prefect cake.

I came to Kyra to have my wedding cake done and she was an absolute pleasure to work with! She took the time with us to talk through all of the ideas I had because I came in not feeling completely certain about what I wanted in terms of design and we made it happen with an idea that fit our budget. I also cannot eat gluten so her offerings were perfect for me. Later one month before the wedding I found out I was pregnant and she was able to accommodate a request to make the inside of the cake pink for a surprise pregnancy announcement and wedding gender reveal. We had a fog machine, strobe lights, and played My Girls by Animal Collective, and had our flower girl ride into the reception space in a mini-Mercedes g-wagon to deliver us a teddy bear dressed in girl clothing. Her cake was the centerpiece of all of this madness and our guests went wild when they found out. The cake taste itself is is absolutely to die for, all four flavors we had for it. And the final cake itself turned out beautifully (a lot of people thought it was fake tiers because of how big we made it but we saved money on decor by going plain white and ordering a bow that we sent to the bakery to add to it). We paid her to handle delivery and bow tying, and the cake came completely intact exactly to the specifications we wanted. Thank you Kyra and bakery staff!!!

We hired Kyra’s Bakery for our wedding cake and dessert spread, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! As a Celiac bride, I felt nervous about finding a bakery that could create a gluten-free cake that actually tasted amazing… and then I found Kyra’s and was blown away! From the very first tasting, Kyra made the entire experience exciting, creative, and completely limitless, something that’s rare in the gluten-free world. Every flavor was a dream, and the final result was pure perfection. Our guests were head over heels for our desserts (most didn’t even realize they were gluten-free!), and we were thrilled to have leftovers so we could savor them long after the wedding. We’re endlessly grateful to Kyra and her team for making our dessert vision come to life. We highly recommend anything on their menu, but just be warned, it’s nearly impossible to choose because everything is incredible!

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from Kyra's and it was fantastic! We had a coffee themed wedding, wanting our cake to look like a caramel macchiato, and the swirling pattern in the buttercream (heaven!) was drop-dead gorgeous. Having each tier being a different combination of flavors (espresso ganache, salted caramel, cinnamon coffee cake) was a genius move. Kyra listened to our requests, made a few of her own, and made our dream cake come true. Delicious and highly recommend.

We ordered a vegan wedding cake from Kyra’s Bakeshop (the red one in the photo) and it was fantastic! The cake tasting for it with Kyra was wonderful and she did a great job walking us through all the different flavors and customization options. I really felt like she wanted us to have the perfect cake for our wedding and wow did she deliver! The cake looked beautiful and we got tons of compliments from our guests about how delicious the cake was (including from several of our non-vegan guests!). I would highly recommend Kyra’s Bakeshop if you ever need a vegan cake.

We used Kyra's for our wedding. We had a small cake for ourselves, and set up a dessert bar for the guests. The cake was beautiful and tasted incredible. I do not have any dietary restrictions but my wife does, so we had to go gluten-free and dairy-free for the cake and other desserts, with some vegan options. The cake was as tasty as any I've had, so top points for that. The cupcake 'shooters' were just as good and a huge hit with our guests. We also had some hand pies and brownies, both which were great. We literally had guests in tears because finally they were at a wedding where they could eat whatever they wanted! The consultation was good, and the process of picking the flavor combinations was really fun. Great choices, great quality, great service, I cannot recommend them enough. I'd use them again even if there weren't gluten-free and other dietary restrictions to consider.

We ordered our wedding cake from Jaciva's Bakery. My Husband and I were super happy with how our wedding cake turned out to be. It was something that I was personally looking forward to seeing on our wedding day. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about how delicious the cake was. We had two flavors for our cake. The top tier was a poppy seed pudding cake with the mixed berry filling and the bottom tier was a vanilla pudding cake with a fudge mint and hazelnut filling. Erin and Miles handled our order and we enjoyed our interaction with both of them. Miles was extremely helpful in answering questions and helping us put our wedding cake flavors and design together. They also accommodated our request to have our own wedding cake topper put on. Each of our visits to the bakery has been pleasant, their staff are friendly and courteous. I would recommend this Bakery to any person looking to have customized cakes ordered. We will definitely be back again!

They were our source, on our 30th anniversary, for the cake that my wife tried to get for our wedding. My family and I have enjoyed purchasing cakes from Jacivas for many years. I recently ordered a wedding cake from them, it looked beautiful and tasted great! We went with a simple icing design and had our coordinator help with placing flowers on it. It was challenging to communicate with their wedding team to both submit and confirm our order, which added stress to our overall experience. To avoid miscommunication with future clients, we would suggest noting which forms of communication are preferred by their team (ie. phone, email, in-person appointments, online portal etc.).

My daughter ordered a lemon cake for myself and a chocolate cake for my brother to celebrate our 60 year twin Birthday. That was the best cake I have ever eaten!!!! It was beautifully made!!!! My cake was lemon layered and had a beautiful edible flower on top of the icing. The icing was very light and delicious. I want to thank you for making our Birthday so memorable. Jacivas Bakery made our wedding cake for our ceremony at Timberline Lodge. We chose two flavors; the poppyseed cake with marionberry filling, and a layer of carrot cake. They make the best carrot cake I have ever had. It’s incredible. Not only was the cake delicious, it was also beautiful! Highly recommend this bakery for any baked goods!

My husband’s company sent us this cake for our virtual baby shower. This cake was so delicious. Every part was so good, from the cake itself, to the chocolate chip frosting inside, to the crunch of the sprinkles, and all the caramel on the outside. It was outstanding. I wish I had ordered my wedding cake from them.

This is becoming one of my favorite bakeries in the city!🫶🏼 Great variety of baked goods. I love how they source the best quality ingredients from small local brands like Ranger Chocolate Co. and Jacobsen Salt which makes their products taste extra special✨. The croissant is tender, flaky, and buttery; the brownie is soft and rich; the coffee cake is hearty and indulgent; and the peanut brittle cookie is crispy, chewy and addictive! I‘ve been here twice so far and loved everything I ordered except for the coffee (from Puff) which tastes burnt. Will be back for breads and pretty much every other pastry 👌🏼

I really want to love this bakery because their rustic bread is excellent — when it’s available. Unfortunately, every time I visit, usually around 9-10 AM (a time when it’s supposed to be ready), they’re consistently out of it. What’s most disappointing isn’t just that the bread isn’t ready, but that the staff never make an effort to check when it will be available. Instead of simply walking a few steps to the back or giving an estimate, they just say, “It’s not out yet.” On several occasions, I’ve had to ask multiple people to get even the smallest bit of information. When you ask for something and they give you something else and you go back and return it, they don’t even say simple “ Excuse Me” nor a word of apology. Good customer service isn’t just about having great products — it’s about taking that extra step to help customers. I don’t expect miracles, just a bit of initiative or communication. When I’ve tried to express my frustration, it’s been brushed off, as if I’m the problem for asking. This could easily be a five-star experience if the staff took a little more care to keep customers informed and valued. I hope management pays attention, because the bread really is worth coming for — if only the service matched the quality of the baking. I honestly hope that this place will close their doors to walk-in traffic and continue selling wholesale to other places in town like Providore Food where you interact with more professional and customer service focuced staff.

Hands down the best quality bread in the Portland metro area. It reminds me of what you get at good bakeries in Germany. Two things: 1. Provide reusable (for here) plates, cups, and utensils 2. Open up a downtown Vancouver (WA) location!!

The best baguette outside of France! I don't know how they do it, but these have the wonderful taste and texture of genuine French bread that doesn't dry out overnight. My only wish is that the bakery was open past 2pm at least one day a week, pretty please?! It's so difficult to get to the wonderful bread and other baked delights with such restricted daytime hours.

Bread is excellent , however baguettes are *always* burnt. Pastries are good. The glass case where pastries are displayed almost always have flies around it. Not a good thing in the food industry. An enclosed glass case to prevent that wouldn’t be a bad idea. Service is awful, the male employees are unprofessional and rude. Everyone can have a bad day, but when their bad attitude happens often and with different staff, something needs to be done.

Delicious pastries and Chai tea! Busy area so not a quiet spot, but a good spot for a quick stop or low key catch up or work meeting. And the service was great!

Best bakery ever! There's so many amazing savery and sweet pastries with things like Japanese curry filling or red bean paste, as well as others with jalapeno and cheese, chocolate coronets, pumpkin with cream cheese, and so many amazing options for so cheap!

Wow.. cant express how good each and every item that I bought was. It reminded me so much of when I went to Japan. I’m glad it’s nearby so I can get my fix! Loved the salt bread, matcha melon pan, and egg cucumber sandwich. I will be back here as soon as I possibly can to try new items and to have some repeats. ☺️

Really good pastries, the tea was delicious too! The facility is clean and staff is so friendly. Could use a bit of decorating, very simple looking café but the food is what matters most and its VERY good.

This is a very unique little spot. The bakery is the best in the area for japanese style donuts and other baked goods. They also have japanese style egg salad sandwiches and strawberry cakes. I have never had something here that I didn't love. I would very much recommend it

Smells incredible, friendly staff, cute but functional space. It's the type of place you swing by and pick up, not a place to linger. The pastries, especially the savory ones, and insanely good. Definitely worth a stop for the cheese straws alone.

I’m so mad that I didn’t try this bakery sooner than last year. All of the flaky pastries are perfectly crispy and buttery, including the strawberry + fig Parisian for which one of the employees brought the figs straight from her yard (I mean come on!!🥹). Needless to say it was sublime. There is such a wide selection of both sweet and savory pastries, I wish I had 3 stomachs to try them all.

All the workers here were very friendly and helpful but the food was meh. The wonder bun must’ve been days old because it was extremely hard and chewy even though I came in only an hour after opening. The quiche was decent but once again the crust was so hard I couldn’t even finish it. I’ve been to a lot of bakeries in Portland and this just didn’t satisfy, I expected better quality for the price.. probably won’t be back here again :(

First time here tried a chocolate croissant and banana chocolate muffin (wheat free), both delicious. The location is very walkable and you can see all their current options from a window.

As a savory pastry fan, I’m delighted by this shop. They have extremely tasty pastries. I also love their pain au chocolat. My favorite by far is their quiche. It’s the best I’ve ever had and I have tried everywhere and all over the US.

Croissant: $3 (no, $4)This might be my favorite croissant in Portland (and I’m a little obsessed with trying all the croissants at the moment). Nice Flaky texture on the outside. Well cooked inside with that slightly sweet, butter aftertaste.

I was initially disappointed that they were sold out of their most popular Almond croissant. However, I decided to try their other delicacies. The Basque cheesecake and the Quiche were really delicious. I have never had such a light Quiche in my life before.

The staff here are amazing!! We order the bundtinis every month for our office's birthday celebrations. I so appreciate KK for helping me with our online order earlier (We had a mishap with our delivery but it was handled immediately and we have never had any other issues with our previous orders). The cakes always arrive beautifully decorated and are so incredibly delicious! You guys are wonderful!

The cutest shop. Love the promotions. The service is amazing they are all so sweet and above and beyond amazing and genuine. They just have two gluten free flavors but I always have to get both because they are so so good and EXTRA CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Nothing Bundt Cakes Is a nice bakery. There are plenty of flavors to choose from, As well as different sizes of cakes. They also offer gluten-free options. I was in the area when I saw an advertisement in one of the windows with a strawberry and cream slice on it. And I decided I wanted it, so I went inside and I got it. I got one of the personal cakes which is like a mini cake (price $6). The cake was delicious no complaints. In the shop, there were plenty of decorations and party supplies. These cakes are great for many occasions. Overall, if you are in the area and in need of a cake, this is a great place to start.

This is a great establishment that offers a tasty product. Originally introduced to me by a coworker, we now buy their “bundtinis” for special occasions and extraordinary treats for friends. Subjectively speaking, the quality of their cakes had always been excellent and they have a decent selection to choose from. Many whom I’ve gifted their products to have especially cited the frosting as the best part. Moreover, their store is filled with an assortment of other, non-edible items that are fun to gift as well. Their staff has been helpful and friendly.

Nothing Bundt Cakes in Beaverton is definitely a fantastic local bakery. I ordered a customizable birthday cake and it turned out just phenomenal! There is plenty of parking in the plaza and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The pumpkin spice is excellent but is only for a limited time. And of course the velvety cream cheese & real butter frosting is amazing!

Lovely fresh, bright and colourful shop, the cupcakes look awesome although we haven’t tried our yet. Sure they will be good. Lady at the counter was very friendly and made a nice job of packing them for us. Saving them for later yum!

I am completely in love with Nothing Bundt Cakes! They are the best! They are moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The cream cheese frosting is absolutely incredible and the perfect compliment to these cakes. I also really like how they stay moist for more than a day. So delicious!

This place is a Gem! What do they say? Great things come in small packages! Owners are amazing as well. Location is so small for the amount of customers that they get hopefully they can eventually get a bigger space. I knew there was going to be a line when we had gone but I was not expecting that type of line where it wrapped around the corner! While in line there was a local who apparently hates how us “outsiders” come just because we heard about them on social media. The whole time she was trying to convince us to go to a different place. “It wasn’t worth waiting in line just for a couple things”. yet…She waited in line? I wasn’t about to listen to her crazy nonsense! Plus I was already committed. There was no way she was gonna convince me to leave and I’m glad I didn’t. Their pastries were amazing. I can’t wait to come back and have some more next time. I plan on spending more than what I did just cause it was that good ! I would highly recommend. And if I were you, don’t think one hour won’t make a difference it sure does if you can help it. Be there when they open. otherwise, that person that local person will take that last damn chocolate croissant.!

The pastries are indeed delicious, but the wait was quite long. I arrived around 8:30, and there were already at least 20 people in line. It took about 35 minutes before I finally got my order…Pairing it with a coffee from Either/Or next door was the perfect combo!

This little bakery in Portland is filled with delicious treats and sweet surprises. The standout for me was definitely the carrot cake — rich, moist, and layered perfectly with smooth cream cheese frosting. The hazelnuts added just the right touch of texture and flavor. The croissants, though buttery, were a bit too flaky for my taste. I prefer mine to hold together instead of crumbling everywhere. Flavor felt a bit over baked. Golden brown please 🙏 The price point leans on the higher side, so be prepared to spend a little more — but if you appreciate quality pastries, it’s worth the treat. Overall: Good spot for desserts, especially the carrot cake. 🥕

Fantastic! The awards are well deserved. We sampled a wide range of the offerings, and they were all top notch (and good coffee to boot). The line wasn't too long on a Friday morning at 8am, maybe 20 minutes. But it would be worth an even longer wait. Definitely will make it a point to get over there, this is a gem.

I’m so glad you were my Google suggestion when I searched bakeries! Croissants will never be the same & the bar has been raised. I can honestly say I’ve never seen one that was bigger than my hand. Thought I would eat a part of it & save the rest, but I couldn’t stop! Your cases look beautiful, clean & service was exceptional! I could have eaten them all. I’ll be back next time I’m in Portland.

I recommend arriving early as it does get very busy. We had the chocolate croissant and cinnamon orange morning bun. Both were so delicious. We also had the coconut passion fruit dessert and it was so light. Very flavorful.

Really good ice cream! But we felt bad for the 1 lady working on Sunday with a line out the door. People were coming to the door and seeing the line and turning around and leaving instead.

$7.50 for a TINY portion, one sphere of ice cream in a stale waffle cone. Never seen a place charge so much money for such meager portion. The ice cream itself was medium-good, not great--but the price was as high as I've seen for this amount. I regret my purchase, do not go here!

Dairy Hill is our favorite ice cream shop in Portland, which is high praise with Salt and Straw, Fifty Licks, and other great options around. In addition to the delicious ice cream and convenient location, I love their wall decorations that pay homage to the dairy farms that covered the Hillsdale area in the 19th and early 20th century.

Cool little ice cream joint. Many flavors to choose from. Excellent price. The only 2 pictures I got to take from what we ordered. The hot fudge ice cream with hot brownie was devoured.

I love the espresso madness flavor. And the Pac-Man machine! They freezer has ice cream sandwich 6-pack ready to go, along with ice cream cakes and pints. Everyone who works here is super nice and friendly, they will be more than happy to let you try some flavors before you make your choice Another neighborhood gem!

We're so lucky to have an independent, old school ice cream shop in the area. The people are always super nice and the ice cream delicious. This is a 4.80 review because my only nitpick is a little more flavor rotation would be nice. I realize that's a double-edged sword though, as more rotation means that a rotation might take my favorite flavor out of the mix for a bit. 😬 This place rules though, you should definitely check it out!

Such a sweet shop! Very welcoming and the decor is so cute and inviting. Along with making custom cakes, they make pastries, coffee, and individual treats. I had the hardest time choosing but settled on a peanut butter pretzel cupcake which had amazing flavor but was a bit dry, though it was the end of a hot day so maybe that was why. But I looooved the cake scrap boxes they sell! Definitely recommend checking this spot out for great vibes and baked goodies.

There’s not enough to say about Bee and her team - we had a small cake for our elopement and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I did say to surprise us giving her and our florist free creative range, i couldn’t have pictured a better cake for our day (not to mention taste was AMAZING)! She was very easy to work with, she has such amazing relationship with other vendors in the area that connecting her and the florist felt so natural and left me not worrying planning our special day. I can’t thank them enough and will forever reach out to them for any event needing a creative, unique and delicious cake.

Really pretty cakes that we ordered for our wedding. Easy to place an order with them. Turned out, after cutting them open, they weren’t the cakes we had ordered and couldn’t trust that one was GF. Was offered 15% off next purchase, but probably won’t be going back. Just sucks when you don’t know if you can eat your own wedding cake.

Bees custom cakes made the most amazing beer themed cupcakes for my birthday party. The attention to detail and flavor went above any expectations. The little beer cans were so cute, everyone was super impressed (and arguing over which one they got!)

The time and effort that goes into these custom cakes are phenomenal. Not only that, but Jen and Bee also makes DELICIOUS cake jars, cookies, pastries and other amazing treats... it’s heartwarming to see young entrepreneurs working so hard towards a passion they take so seriously. This is a team who knows true craft products. 10/10 would recommend for ANY of your special occasions.

Bee made us the most gorgeous AND DELICIOUS cake for our adventure elopement! She made the design process collaborative and fun. The end result exceeded expectations! She helped us prep to travel 6+ hours with the cake and even followed up to see if we (and the cake) made it okay. She included a goregous stencil detail on the frosting and fresh flowers cascading down the side. Bee was so thoughtful to include extra fresh flowers as well, in case there was any wilting and the cake needed a refresh. The flowers held up beautifully, and the extra flowers were used for a cake photo-op!

Came in with some friends. They had patience of waiting for the long line but I did not. I just grabbed the pint of honey lavender flavor ice cream in their fridge then went straight to the cashier so I didnt have to wait in line. The ice cream was delicious and one of my favorite flavors, then 2nd would be blue cheese n pear flavor. The atmosphere was clean and the place smells like amazing vanilla scent because of the waffle cones they make there. One of my favorite ice cream places ❤️

Line is long but it moves super fast!! Staff was all super kind and efficient. Might be a little difficult to manage for the handicapped. Highly recommended paying a visit to see their unique flavors and vegan options!

I think this was literally the best ice cream I’ve had in my life. They offer a nice variety of flavors, including seasonal options that seem to rotate out. My favorite was the cinnamon snickerdoodle. All the staff was very kind, and there was plenty of sitting and standing tables inside.

I liked that this store opened late and it had very unique flavours. The aesthetic of the place is also very different for an icecream store, but in a cool way! I like that they give you the option to try the flavours before purchasing, and that they have dog ice creams as well! I tried the blue cheese and pear icecream and it was super refreshing. Staff was nice, and the wait wasn’t too long.

I was visiting Portland for two nights this week, and stayed at a hotel close to Lovejooy Bakers. I stopped in for a quick bite on my way to Powell's Books. I ordered a salad, a hot tea, and a pastry. The two women working there were very warm and friendly. I came back the next day near closing time. I was hoping to get another salad but didn't want to inconvenience them if they were closing up. They let me know they were here to make sure people got fed and had what they needed up until the minute of closing. I felt very welcomed and really enjoyed the setting. I would visit often if I lived in the area. It just felt like such a safe and comforting place.

Unfriendly staff, almost as if I was bothering them by ordering. Overpriced for what I received. Not worth it. Chocolate croissant not even heated, so pretty much unedible.

I really loved the vibe here! The coffee was GOOD - as I’m still a rich coffee flavor but without sacrificing the flavor of the syrup I chose (cardamom). For food, I had the egg tapenade sandwich and a cookie - both were satisfying in the way that they weren’t huge but still kept me full for hours. I also really enjoyed seeing how comfortable other customers were and how lively the staff were. It’s a true community here and brightened up my whole week

I had a drip coffee that was meh, but the avocado toast was pretty good - the bread was definitely the highlight. The girl at the counter was curt and rude, which is why I gave a 2 star rating for the service, if I'm going to pay 8 bucks for avocado toast please be polite. I overheard other staff who didn't seem to possess the same intolerant attitude. The atmosphere is conducive to working or studying, not ideal for socializing.

These folks are consistent. The breakfast sandwiches are delish, they have comfortable, clean seating, including some outside, and the coffee is great. They also have rotating specials. This location has a beautiful mural on the outside AND they maintain it. Thank you!

I ordered croissants and coffee. The coffee was ok but the croissants were tough. A good croissant should shatter and have crumbs on my plate. Nothing. It was like they were day old or frozen. Luckily there are more bakeries in the neighborhood.

Amazing breakfast cafe in Portland, with outside seating to enjoy on a warm summer day. My partner and I joined our son and his girlfriend for breakfast during our first full day visiting Portland. Two of us ordered a Cappuccino while two ordered the iced Chai. The coffee was very good and the iced Chai was a welcome treat. For breakfast, I ordered the Homemade Granola with Greek Yogurt. The flavors were a nice fresh mix with dried cranberries as a treat. My partner ordered the Avocado toast and enjoyed the fresh bread and flavors. Our son and his girlfriend both ordered the Egg & Fontina with butter on a Ciabatta roll, which they enjoyed. They also ordered a slice of the Coffee Cake with chocolate chips. Fantastic! Nice breakfast and the service is amazing. Worth a visit if your looking for a local breakfast cafe. Second visit for muffins and pastry. Third visit ordered their amazing coffee and a lemon cranberry muffin, so good.

Amazing 100% gluten free + vegan place …. Their coffee crumble was amazing. They also have coffee, sandwiches, and ice creams. Don’t know how they get the perfect cake like consistency with GF materials! Wanted to try everything because their food was better than any gf bakery place I’ve tried in Chicago. Highly recommend

Not gonna lie, I was looking through some of my old photos from our trip to Oregon last year and saw some pictures I took from Petunia’s pastries and just had to share how much I wish I lived in Oregon so I can have some of their pastries every day. SERIOUSLY, so good. We actually went there two days in a row before leaving the state bc we loved it so much. We were so excited bc they had fresh donuts that weekend (fried!!!! not baked!!finally!!) and omg they left me drooooolin. Their cinnamon rolls are heavenly! I think they were about to run out too so we had luck getting one! We also had a biscuit sandwich and I still remember how crumbly and buttery it was. I believe we had an Apple fritter as well which seriously blew my mind. Lol being vegan and gluten free, this is literal heaven. It’s SO hard to find vegan and gluten free things that actually taste good and have a good texture. Can’t wait to go back and visit for more. Greetings from Chicago!!

A super cute and delicious pastry shop that serves gluten-free pastries. They also have ice cream breakfast foods and a variety of drinks. I went in October and they had up Halloween decorations. The workers were super sweet and the atmosphere was very chill. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the Portland area.

Food- To start off I am not on a gluten free diet. I just came here cause it was close to Tanaka just next door. I tried one smores cupcake which was like basically $6 already. But I was like why not. That first bite threw me way off so quick. The frosting is soooo unbelievably sugary. And this is coming from someone who can handle "Crumbl" cookies. The cupcake was legit half frosting half cake. Its honestly just too much. Now the cake part is alright, tasted like chocolate. Its honestly just the frosting that has got to go. Service- The service was nice and quick.

Gluten free and vegan? Heaven on my tastebuds. I was excited to try this bakery and had them bookmarked. While walking around I noticed I wasn't too far away and dropped in for some baked goodies. The bakery is beautiful and inviting from the outside. The staff were all helpful and friendly, which is always a plus when patronizing a business. I opted for their pecan roll and the bday cupcake to go (because it smh bday)! I loved, loved my roll. I wished it could have been warmed up for that extra umph! It's been such a long time since I had the pleasure of enjoying baked goods that I wasn't scared would make me sick later. I also enjoyed their loose leaf black tea that was delicious without anything added. I would highly recommend even if you're not gluten or vegan.

The space is bright and colourful with plenty of seating options and they even have a cute station for colouring! The savory menu options hit the spot but the desserts ate DOWN. The cinnamon roll and pecan sticky bun!? Hella good. Would highly recommended this dairy-free and gluten-free restaurant!

The staff here was very friendly. We wound up chatting it up about different flavors of cupcakes. Our cupcakes were very good and looked very pretty too. The bakery is pretty cozy for customers but that's a good thing, as there are so many choices of cupcakes, it's good to not get too lost in the experience. The good thing is that every cupcake has a miniature version too. So you can enjoy different kinds without getting too bloated and too sugared up. I would definitely recommend this bakery to my family and friends!

The cupcakes were good but not amazing. a lot of them were not moist and very crumbly. The cookie dough was the worst, very hard ( see pic) . I really liked the red velvet and the carrot cake but would not drive all the way from Vancouver for these cupcakes. I can buy the same quality from trader Joe’s or Fred’s. They were way overpriced. The filling wasn’t very much either. It’s worth a try and they are good enough but nothing special. For the price they should be exceptional!

Cupcake Heaven is more like it! They have super tasty rotating flavors, but my favorite is their red velvet cupcake, the big one. It has a creamy filling and the best cream cheese frosting you have ever tasted. When I get married I for sure am going to serve Cupcake Jones to my guests because their cupcakes taste just like love to me.

The cupcakes here are amazing! I love all the combinations, and the best is they have mini cupcakes that you can order and have a little bit of everything. The cupcakes were all so fresh. I got the red velvet, peanut butter and mint chocolate. There are all amazing. The selection is significant for a small cupcake shop. there is something for everyone. The pricing is very fair as well. There is street parking for the shop. The employee was very nice as well.

My favorite cupcake on the planet (and I have traveled the world sampling them) is the Velvet Painting at Cupcake Jones. I am so lucky to live in Portland where I have access to two locations now to get my hands on those tasty 'cakes! The folks are always nice, friendly, and helpful. AND, as if the great in-store service and delicious cupcakes weren't enough, Cupcake Jones has delivered orders to my workplace! Talk about personalized service. It's second to none. Long live Cupcake Jones!

When we visited Cupcake Jones, we were happy to see the variety of flavors, and got six different kinds. The cake of four them was quite dry and with little flavor. The other two (vanilla and German chocolate) were good. The abundant frosting on the cupcakes had good flavor, but was extremely sweet.

“A refuge, a moment out of time.” Where you slow down, and enjoy each dish made to order. The quiche here was a different animal - so soft the filling almost oozed out of the flaky crust. And the razor clams were divine! It was so full of umami and reminded me of the Chinese mitten crab. I already long to be back for the clams (and everything else). Plus great dessert.

Long birthday lunch for a dear friend - every bite was a delight! Radish & chive finger sandwiches, prawns, sole in parchment, spanakopita, basque cheesecake to finish. The chef was in Germany and the chef’s taking over the kitchen for the week offered equal care and creativity in each dish. The seafood was simply exquisite - perfectly seasoned, cook times to the second, we ordered bread to sop up every single drop of the jus. Pricey so I don’t go often, but when I do I dream incessantly about my next visit. Truly one of Portland’s finest restaurants!

This is a very cute place. The food is mostly good. The muscles flavor is great and very unique with the pine nuts. Cheesecake is delicious. The baguette and butter is ridiculously small and expensive. The pork salad has pork that is bland like a sheet of white paper, and the fried veggie part of the salad is inedible. This is the service is slow, but it doesn’t bother me too much because the place is nice and we can chill sitting outside

A unique lunch spot , white washed room , very small, short menu, Small portions. some of the dishes could use more flavor/sauce. Granted, the Norwegian style dishes are rather bland for a more robust taste palette. Some tables are communal or shared. There can be a wait outside even in the rain.

The food was delicious. My favorite was the winter salad as the cabbage was fresh, crisp and dressed well. Another great dish was the black pepper cheesecake. Looked stunning and tasted wonderful (much lighter than a NY cheesecake and more moist than a Japanese cheesecake). The restaurant was beautiful as well as small. Made for a cozy meal. The folks working there were friendly, kind and hospitable.

This place is so cute. 5 friends and I decided to meet up here for brunch after talking about for forever. Word of advice get there early because it's very small and it fills up fast. We were like 3rd in line thank goodness because it's not a place for groups really. Also it says first come first serve but that's not true, they seat everyone at once and then randomly take orders so we waited properly 20 min before we saw a server. We were chatting it up and weren't in a hurry but it was kinda disappointing. We were ready to order when she finally came which was good because we never saw her again. You pay at the front once you are done. The food was so good. I got the breakfast sandwich. The menu is different every day so if you are thinking you are going to get something that's pictured on Google then you may be disappointed. I was hoping for the breakfast burrito. The pastries in the case were so yummy. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids here. Glad I finally tried it but I probably won't be back.

This was my first time visiting Sweedeedee, and I was immediately charmed by the cozy, welcoming vibe of this cute little neighborhood spot. The service was quick, and everything felt relaxed yet efficient. I ordered the turkey sandwich, which was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bread was fluffy and tasted homemade, which made it even better. I also had the English breakfast tea, and I loved that it was loose leaf and served in a French press—such a thoughtful touch! I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying some of their bakery items. A lovely find!

Late lunch was a hit! Ordered the zucchini sandwich (add bacon). Delicious, served quickly and the atmosphere is clean and airy. Loved the vinyl being played through the small space.

This place was one of my most highly anticipated brunch spots but I was pretty disappointed in my visits. The menu is limited as is, but they also didn’t have both the items I wanted to order that morning, so it was slim pickings. I’m sure the pastry chef is the reason I’m here because the pistachio raspberry cake was unbelievable and I originally came here for pie. As for grandma’s toast, it was charred on the bottom and every bite essentially tasted like burnt toast. The breakfast sandwich was meh, cookies were decent, and drink was refreshing. Service was also very slow so expect to spend at least a couple hours if you’re a group of 2-3. I’ll probably just reserve a piece of pie and pick it up the next time.

Whole Foods is my comfort grocery store when I'm traveling and this one didn't disappoint EXCEPT for all the super security guards which made it seem like I'm in war zone. I sincerely hope this was not the store manager's decision.

Came here around 130pm on a weekday to grab lunch (I like their soups) but they were out most of the soups, lids for small, and medium size containers and they were out of water. The deli section was dirty.

Man, I didn't think an apple pie could ever not taste good... I can't be the only one who thinks the quality of food in general keeps going down. It's disappointing paying high end prices, with all the pretty packaging, and realizing Grocery Outlet would've been just as good, if not the better choice over Whole Foods. My Cheddar cheese had what looked like the beginning of mold all over it, it was sealed tight too. The turkey sandwich meat, is about the size in roundness as a large to Campbell's soup can, and seems to be mostly filler, not actual meat, and the apple pie has a weird aftertaste the resembles meat. Like a meat aftertaste... I stopped shopping here after they fought to not have to label the food they use GMO in. That alone was enough for me. But now that I see how bad the food is, I'll continue to stay away. To be fair, Whole Foods isn't alone in this. I would say all processed foods have gone downhill. I was just disappointed to see the Whole Foods brand seems to be going down as well. Seems like they have good produce tho.

Good healthy real food. Lost 1 star due to being way too expensive. Greedily maximizing profit focused. of course, now owned by Amazon. Founder one of worlds richest man due to profits, what more do he want? More billions ? Greed or generous passing on savings for customers over shareholders. Sad.

I can't believe I'm writing a review for Whole Foods, but here we are. Dropped in to get water since I was staying at a hotel nearby. Typical Whole Foods selection and prices. The store was clean. The problem is their customer service—I was blamed for a cashier charging me incorrectly twice, then spoken down to and talked over. I have lived in 4 countries and traveled to over 100, and I have never seen rudeness and absolute incompetence as at this store. Will should be ashamed of himself, but after speaking with customer service (Celeste), I am sure he's still making excuses for his behavior. There are other grocery stores nearby—Fred Meyer and New Seasons—use them. If you have to go here, use self-checkout and avoid Will.

Update: Same. Horrible selection, today they had no regular bottled water in either the big or small size. No pizza. Empty hot bar. Update: Months later, the selection is worse. 1 sandwich today and the hot and cold bars were half full. Pizza had 2 varieties with 3 total slices available, all cold and 2 burnt. Don't come here for lunch!! I work nearby and would love to come by for lunch, and I often do, but it's always very disappointing to see the lunch options they have. The prepared foods are almost always nearly empty and the hot and salad bars are often very lacking as well when compared to other locations. They also removed an entire section of the salad bar recently, reducing options even more.

Horrible customer service! Mean red hair (literally) cashier shows her attitude towards regular customers. I left without buying my groceries!!! Store allows dogs to come inside!! Food safety inspection needs to check entire store! Terrible experience. I am not going to shop at this location again. I rather go to New Seasons because they don’t allow animals in grocery store and they have very sweet cashiers!

I was headed home from Portland to Seattle and was told I needed to stop at Larsons on my way home. My scale regrets it but my tastebuds were in heaven. It was Father’s Day around 11:30 when I stopped in and I was still helped very quickly, I let them know it was my first visit and the lady was very helpful in describing all the amazing deserts. I ended up with a Butterhorn (didn’t last more than 5 minutes) a cream horn filled with chocolate Bavarian cream ( flaky, cream, crunchy delicious) and a slice of Napolian that I haven’t gotten to try yet. I will 1000% be back

Chocolate chip cookies Sprinkled soft cookies Red velvet cupcakes Regular coffee Caramel frappe I recommend everything we tried that are listed above. Really was fresh, tasty, and delicious. They have such a large variety of options that it is hard to choose. They have a small seating area you can sit inside and enjoy. Also, they have a deli with a good selection. They have all sizes of cakes available, including different types of individual cakes and cupcakes and a variety of cookies! Will be back!

I’ve been craving like a cake/cupcake with whippy frosting for a while, but couldn’t find it. Either the frosting would be too thick or the cake just doesn’t look appealing at all. Then I found this place! Oh my goodness it’s so good!! Even my husband who is very particular about baked goods loved their chocolate chip cookies. The frosting is so whippy and the cake is nice and soft. Also very nice and helpful staff working there. I will definitely be returning to this bakery! Also price was great as well!

The product is second to none. But when trying to call and place an order for their delicious banana cake, the woman who answered, was very short, when asking me to hold. Almost like it was just a big inconvenience that I was calling. But, I with a smile said, okay none the less. 10 minutes later, the phone disconnects to dial tone. So, I try and call back. This time, I get the "my call cannot be completed, because the party I'm dialing is busy" recording. This happened four more times as I tried to call back. Over another 10 minute period. So because she was busy, she hung up on me and then took the phone off the hook. I get that you're busy. I get that can be frustrating. But I'm 47 years old and I've had a banana cake for my birthday every year almost for 35 years. This 4th of July I was trying to share that experience with my guests. But then this happened... Make it right in this changes to a five-star review. But for now I'm completely taken back and I'm giving the service one star. **Unfortunately this isn't the first time they've hung up and placed the phone off the hook. Five Star food. One star service. Thanks.

Ordered a birthday cake on Thursday for a Sunday pickup. Upon arrival staff were very friendly. Upon inspection cake was nice but believe presentation could have been better. Writing on cake was presentable for the most part. Upon enjoying cake it was very moist and a good quality cake.

I've always heard this is a good bakery. The first time I ordered here I was really disappointed but thought maybe I had ordered the wrong kind of cake since we ordered a buttercream which I had never tried before. So giving it a second chance we ordered a chocolate rum cake which should have been good. However both cakes lacked flavor... Pretty much at the same level as a store-bought cake. Looks good on the outside, with no flavor!

We got their Rasher Egg and Cheese English Muffin with tomato. It tasted good and healthy. I didn't know the tomato was extra $3 charge. The sandwich is definitely not worth $12.80 so skip the tomato. We tried some of their other pastries and sourdough and they were all very good.

I was disappointed. The only thing that was yummy and worth the price was the pumpkin muffin, which I would get again. But.. The Bacon and egg croissant was dry and overcooked. The salmon sandwich; the bread was good. But it was soggy ish from the slaw and could hardly tell there was cream cheese on it. The coffees was delicious. Bathroom was dirty and needed a deep cleaning. Staff was super sweet. We spent close to $50 not worth it.

This is a cute bakery with very solid food and drink offerings. Bread looked amazing and they had lots of variety. The shop has a small parking lot, that seems to fill quickly but there is street parking all around. There is lots of seating and lots of space. Staff was friendly and quick on orders. I plan to visit again!

If you’re not ordering, and if you are a person with my complexion, don’t expect good customer service. It’s so obviously painful that I almost walked out to never return. As a Delivery Driver, being out on the road is a lot, so it means everything to just be treated with kindness when going into any establishment. Also it took them forever to complete the order. Normally I don’t leave reviews but I am today because this isn’t the first time this has it happened. Hope that the managers see this and create a better system, or notify their team to at-least do better! Delivery Service Partner or not… we’re working for you, helping your company make more money. It would be nice for your employees to respect that.

The Muffin was really good as was the bread on our sandwiches. However the sandwiches themselves were just ok. The bacon and egg croissant was a tad overcooked and had not much seasoning or any sauce. Their salmon Sandwich. I wanted to like it. Idk. It was close but just off for me. They weren't bad. Just kinda so so.

Pretty straight forward brunch and lunch menu sandwiches. Their baked goods (breads and pastries) are their highlight. I had the turkey chutney with a dill pickle which was fresh, tasty, and fulfilling. I had a pecan pull apart pastry which is super delicious with their coffee. I would defintely come back again. All this for less than $20. Service is fast, nice, and attentive. The atmosphere is clean, well kept, uptodate with wooden fixtures, and busy. I saw people doing work and it wasn’t too loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. There is also outside seating. Tables are big enough for a party as large as 4. I will defintely come back. Parking is tough (this is the down side) and your best bet is to scour the neighborhood for a spot (thus a 4 for atmosphere instead of 5).

We got two sandwiches, the happy goat and veggie grinder, side salad, a fontina pull-apart & a pecan pull-apart, and a soda and chai. Both of the sandwiches were super good, loved the happy goat. The veggie grinder was good but the baguette was hard this day. The pastries were a little hard/dry too, esp the pecan pull-apart. The caramelized sugar on top had really hardened. We were understanding bc it was end of day for them. The chai was semi sweet and nicely spicy. The greens in the side salad were fresh and the dressing was good. Really enjoyed the cozy space on a rainy Portland day. But I've had baked goods from grand central before that were way better than what we had this day, so that was slightly disappointing. Still a good spot for a light lunch. Stopped into ecovibe next door afterwards for some shopping.

The cinnamon rolls here are incredible and I am still thinking about them. My husband and I both had the bagel sandwich with ham and loved the bagels so much we bought some to take home. We also tried the brownie and the coffee cake - both were really good but the hero was really the cinnamon roll. Being a dedicated gluten free kitchen - it allowed me to order anything I wanted and that’s not a feeling I get often. Not to be missed - gluten free or not.

As someone who can't eat gluten, it's really hard for me to satisfy my cravings. But this place is amazing. I've been searching forever for a gluten-free donut that isn't just cakey, and I finally found it here. It's light, airy, and slightly chewy. I had the pizza here a while ago, and if I hadn't known that everything was gluten-free, I would've gone back to make sure they didn't accidentally give me the wrong pizza! I think about this place all the time.

Great food but the service is questionable. They don’t allow substitutions which is interesting for a restaurant branded by accommodation. We went in on a Sunday when it was packed and it took an hour to get our food, which was fine because it was so delicious. We went back early the following day and the restaurant was empty. We ordered the breakfast bagel and tried to add a beyond patty, but they only allow you to add a beyond patty on the vegan version and ham on the regular. We tried to order side of beyond patty separately and they wouldn’t sell it because the register didn’t have a button for it. Just very odd. The choices are mostly vegan or meat+cheese and you can’t simply take meat off or switch out a cheese option. When they say no substitutions they mean it so just keep that in mind.

Flavor explosion alert! I stopped into New Cascadia Traditional and my taste buds are still doing a happy dance. I started with dessert (because why not?) — the rhubarb muffin — and oh. my. goodness. Soft, tangy, a little sweet, perfectly balanced. It was straight-up amazeballs. Then came the Biancaneve Pizza, and wow…😋. Every bite was this perfect, mouth-watering combo of creamy ricotta, melty mozzarella, smoky provolone, roasted garlic, parmesan, and just the right kick of pepper flakes. Total flavor explosion. The crust was crisp and chewy in all the right ways — honestly, I couldn’t stop eating it. New Cascadia knocked it out of the park. If you’re anywhere near Portland and want food that’s both gluten-free and insanely good, this place is where it’s at. I’ll definitely be back for another round!

Delicious and juicy and moist gluten-free bagel! I got the breakfast bagel sandwich and i really felt so grateful to find this place. It’s so rare that you find an actually good gluten-free restaurant where the food tastes like real food… but this place scratches that itch so well and makes me feel so happy. I also got the cinnamon Coffee cake and it was really fluffy and delicious. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best Gluten Free Pizza I have had- look at that bubbly crust! 🤤🤯 I visited here in vacation and am already planning my next trip!

We went there for gluten free meals recommended by some friends. The pizza was really good, and it didn’t taste like any other gluten free ones that we had in the past. We had a chance to chat with the person working who was helpful in explaining different menu items. We went back again so my wife could get pizza one more time. Highly recommended!

Got recommended here for donuts from a sweet couple who's also visiting Portland. Glad we took their advice. The donuts were so fresh & yummy 😋. Not super sweet and the favor are there. Would totally recommend 👌

Its small and they only let in 4 people at a time but the doughnuts are some of the best I've ever had. They're soft without being oily. Sweet without being sickly sweet. And the flavors are all different and seasonal. They're 3.50 a doughnut which isn't bad. Will definitely come again next time I'm in Portland.

Great selection of expensive vegan donuts The donuts taste great. At least the ones I had the Dubai chocolate doughnut is a bit overpriced. Portland dough is great classic for them. The apple fritter is good too. The whipped cream, however, just doesn’t taste even close to dairy and was so so based on my taste.

Some of the best specialty donuts. I love their seasonal flavors, wish I could taste the pumpkin cheesecake donut they had a couple years back, it’s one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. 4 people inside at a time, masks encouraged.

Doe Donuts is our fav vegan spot in Portland for pastries. They've got rotating donuts every month, in addition to the specialities they always carry. It's a small spot so they do kindly request only 4 people inside at a time for ordering, and staff continue to wear high-quality masks in the ongoing pandemic - all of which I appreciate. 💗🍩

When my 40th birthday was approaching, my wife coordinated with Jen and the team at Simply Sweets to make an amazing tower of deliciousness. The attention to detail was amazing and I gorged myself on some of the best lemon cake I've ever had. They also made cupcakes of various flavors for my guests that aren't fans of lemon. Out of this world!

We chose this place for our wedding cake and it was worth every penny! The cake looked and tasted so good! It was a big hit with 4 different flavors. They were awesome and handed out different cupcake flavors to chose from. I highly recommend this place!

I went in last minute this morning for some birthday cupcakes, the cupcakes were 10/10. Staff was really nice as well. Idk who posted the review about their food being dry but these were moist! They were perfect. I paid about $50 for 12 cupcakes, and 1 pack of candles. I don’t think it’s expensive at all for the quality of these cupcakes though. Well worth the money.

They helped me create a beautiful centerpiece for my daughter's 9th birthday party. The cupcakes were beautifully decorated and perfectly on theme. They were also delicious! highly recommend!

I had a custom cake made by Simply Sweets for my wedding this July. I showed them my inspiration after being told by other places that my design wouldn’t look like the photos. Simply sweets made it look even better! They also were able to make our cake full gluten-free and had several flavor options, which isn’t that common these days! I am just so happy with the service they provided and I would recommend them to anyone!

Ordered 8 dozen cupcakes for our wedding. They were ready on time, as promised, packaged perfectly & decorated beautifully. Our guests all raved about them! Well worth the 2hr drive to get them! 💕

They made a beautiful cake for my daughter's 30th birthday. (Beautiful and delicious!) While I was picking it up, I grabbed some scones (the maple pecan was gorgeous) and pastries for breakfast. I'll get my younger daughter's cake from them as well, and my own next spring. I highly recommend them.

It was so good! Prices were outrageously good and fair. I was blown away by how beautiful the desserts were and how creative. They were so yummy and I am excited to come back and get many more. The ube donut was by far my favorite. So simple but so yummy and soft. The matcha cheesecake was a fun one, not my favorite but it was pretty so can’t complain too much. Loved the pork bun. Amazing, especially for the price! I’m looking to try the sandwiches next, they seemed like a big hit when I was there!

Oh the number of tasty items. Get something here for an enjoyable treat. We got a bbq pork steamed bun, an egg ban mi, an ube mochi donut, a butter pecan walnut crisp and a thousand layer coconut ube. The bun was a typical steamed bun. The ban mi was interesting but very tasty, replacing some of the veggies with some hard boiled eggs. The crisp was tasty with the center being flaky sweet and moist all at the same time. The donut was exactly as its name should be. The thousand layer was like a thick croissant filled with ube and coconut.

Amazing baked Asian goods!! The bbq steamed pork bun was one of my favorites. Honestly tried a little bit of everything haha ube cheesecake was delicious but very rich so you must share that with someone. Their pork belly bahn mi was great, the cha siu bahn mi meat was kinda dry. Iced coffee was tasty but super sweet. And lastly their garlic cheese bread was huge and delicious!! Had actual garlic pieces and some sort of sweet aioli sauce that made it amazing. We went back twice on our trip. Highly recommend

first time trying banh mi, but I was blown away at both the price and quality. For reference, bahn mi can be about $12 or more, it was 6.75 here. And was the real stuff with a family running the show. Long line, good sign. Next time I will try the many different desserts

Almost always some wait time,its definitely worth it! They're fast and its obviously very popular. You can try to get there early but koat likely others are too. It's a very delicious smoothies, coffee, baked sweets and goods, amazing bhan mi sandwiches. 😋

Incredible bakery. I’ve been here quite a few times now and it’s a must visit! They have a wide selection of pastries, even a couple gluten free items. They do have other food and drinks as well. It is super affordable! I got two croissants (which are soo soft and buttery), and 3 gluten free coconut ube donuts (and let me tell you, these are my new obsession) all for $9!! The coconut ube donuts are so flavorful without being overwhelming, the texture is amazing, and just the fact that they are $1.50 blow my mind. The parking is sparse in their parking lot but street parking is free and easy to find

Both vegetarian versions of bahn mi are amazing! The bread was nice and crunchy on the outside but super soft on the inside (they are baked fresh daily!). We liked the vegetarian meat version slightly more than the tofu one because the flavors were a little stronger but they were both excellent! Service was actually fairly quick. Didn't try the pastries but they looked amazing so we'll definitely come back for those! They only have a couple of picnic tables out front, and just 4 or 5 parking spots, so it's definitely best to just pick up and take it to go.

The cake I got here was okay. I ordered a 6" round vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, which was $50. Pretty decorations and professional look, but the texture of the cake was crunchy/grainy around the outside, as if the sugar in the batter had crystallized. (I could feel it crunching as I cut a slice and was worried there was something inside.) The cake was also very sweet, but tender. The frosting was quite buttery, more than I'd prefer (I think it's Swiss meringue buttercream). Friendly, fast service. I'm looking forward to trying their cookies some time.

My husband and I used Dessert Tray for our wedding cake and cupcakes. They were very professional and delicious. We got earl grey cake with honey buttercream and it was all the rage at our event. Thank you, Dessert Tray for such an amazing cake!

This place really helped out in a pinch. We wanted to get a custom themed cake in 2 days and they were able to help us out. The staff was super friendly and great to work with. They replicated the cake perfectly. We were very pleased.

On Saturday 9/20 i stopped by the dessert tray for only the second time. My first experience was fine as I remember. I ordered one slice of vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and one slice of chocolate cake with buttercream frosting as choices were very limited for single serving items. Later Saturday evening I decided to try these cake slices. I took my fork and tried the frosting first. The frosting was amazing on both slices of cakes and it quickly reminded me of Beaverton Bakery cake frosting which I still consider to be the best bakery ever. When I stuck my fork into the cake slices they were both very hard and dry. It reminded me of Helen Bernhardt’s cake which is awful and alway hard and stale. These cake slices must have been nearly a week old or more. It’s unfortunate that you’re selling old cake slices like this. Had one slice been that way and the other moist i would consider giving this place another try, as trying to find a decent bakery these days is impossible.

I have ordered several cakes from this bakery for birthdays over the course of the years. I finally got around to writing a review after the last order which I put in for a friend's 40th birthday party this month. The cake came out beautiful! Two tiers, with drip and artificial flowers (I myself purchased the flowers at Jo-Ann Fabrics). I had sent the bakery a couple of photos of inspiration cakes I found online and they just did amazing work. This cake was chocolate with chocolate ganache which was rich and delicious. Everyone was very pleased and impressed with this cake! Thank you Dessert Tray :)

Stopped in for a snack while my son was at the hobby store across the street. Got an oatmeal raisin cookie. It was huge! So soft and delicious.

Great little coffee shop for breakfast. The egg sandwich teasted great. I also got a London Fog. There are only a few tables, but if you able to sit, it's very cozy. The staff were all friendly.

This has been my go-to bakery for Italian pastries whenever I stop by in Portland. It's a small space but great to pick up something tasty on the go. Good coffee too.

Don’t sleep on this place! Bella’s is legit one of Portland’s gems! Quality ingredients and products. Sweet or savory…they got you. Coffee drinks are on point. Frankly…I don’t need anything else for my weekend splurge (or weekday, or both)….take my money Bella’s. I will be returning often. Oh…I ordered the ham and cheese cornetto and a cappuccino. Fire. Took home a variety of pastries. Impossible to choose.

Bella's is the best thing about Portland. I live far from her but I will go way out of my way to go to Bella's for her pastries, coffee, pizza dough, etc.. I've been a fan of everything Michelle has crafted since her Farmer's Market/traveling catering days and she's only flourished in every way since then. I'm sitting enjoying my breakfast of all my fan favorites and had to express my gratitude in this moment cause it's just the best stuff I've ever consumed. God bless this gorgeous establishment!

Dear Bella, You made our first time so special! We got a little tour and a "welcome!" from all who helped us. For those who are looking for a little nibble for lunch, try the Veggie Pie. Yummy and perfect size for 2 people for our little lunch needs. (Sandos looked GREAT). Cool/healthy spin on pizza if I do say. (Comes in slices, half, or full. Full could feed 2 looking for a little more lunch). Little Treat: Two cannoli (FANTASTIC and probably best in Portland). Our Lobster Tail was so good! (had it the next day) I'll finish saying that we probably could have eaten everything in the store, because everything was fresh and looked great! Coffee: Delicious. Staff: Adorable, kind, and happy. If one could fall in love with a Bakery, this place would be it. Every item I ordered tasted amazing, wonderfully Italian, and made with high quality ingredients (+passion !). The Sfogliatelle Ricce or lobster tail is super flaky and could make you feel like an Italian aristocrat! The custard filling has light almond flavor, not too right, and just enough sweetness to make you go ooohhhh and aaahh while pairing it with my Cortado. I grabbed the oat+fig bar and almond cookies as well... Enjoyed every last bite of the bar and still enjoying my cookies at home. Staff is really nice and quirky, which makes it very Portland! Interior is cozy and decorated like an Italian country side with all their antique country home items. Few seating areas inside, and lots more outside for you to enjoy the weather.

Coming back from a hike at Powell Butte, a friend and I stopped by here to enjoy a lunch. The breakfast sandwich (~$6) and the croissant sandwich (~$8) I got were both refreshing and filling, and I got to sample some of another sandwich (~$14) which definitely I would have to take half home if I had it for myself. The ambiance was very relaxing and I could see myself doing an artistic venture here. I also had a latte which did the job for me. The highlight was the cannoli which I've never had before. But the ricotta cheese and the pastry puff complemented eachother perfectly and the choice of almonds, chocolate chips, and pistachios at the ends of the cannoli made a fun pizzaz. would love to come back more frequently if I lived closer!

Excellent selection of all vegan goodies and desserts. Current favs are the Rocky Road Fudge and PB crunch bar. The selections change seasonally so you'll never get bored if you like to try new flavors all the time. Very convenient location at the Tidbit pod but many times I just make a special stop here to pickup treats for a few days.

This is absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite vegan treat spot. The millet bars are my favorite: chewy, filling, sweet but not overly so, with a hint of almond butter. The coffee is great too! For straws, I always bring my own metal ones, but they give you paper ones. Try the savory tarts if you're looking for something a little more than just a snack.

This bakery has the most delicious gluten free / vegan treats ever. Although I should say that I have never tried the ice cream. But the cupcakes and pies and cheesecake are fabulous. You would never guess that the cheesecake is dairy free; it is that good!

Excellent vegan and gluten free desserts and savory items. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful in directing me to test choices. I'm a big fan of the Citrus Ginger Scone and Peanut Toffee Bar. Best to get there early before the items start selling out.

I was so excited to try this place and really wanted to love it. I found that the baked goods here reminded me of those at Petunia's. If you like Petunia's, you'll probably love Back to Eden. We ordered the apple cider donut, cranberry coffee cake and coconut cardamom muffin on the recommendation of the employee. The donut was definitely the tastiest, but I found the flavor of all three to be quite odd. The coffee cake in particular was quite bland, except for the strange taste. They tasted very similar to items I've had at Petunia's. I can't for the life of me figure it out because I make GF goodies at home all the time that taste super yummy. I will say that the girl working the cart was an absolute gem. So sweet and helpful, she earns them an extra star. I would probably have only given them two stars, but I feel bad because this is their first review and the service was excellent!

The best gluten free and vegan baked goods in the universe but if you you keep listing your hours incorrectly you're going to have a bad time. They're currently open from 11 am to 7 pm and I'm now sad about driving across the city and not being able to get brownies.

Some really great options here for the gluten free crowd. The donuts are awesome! Wouldn't say they're as good as their glutenous counter parts, but a gluten eater would still find them tasty!

I've been popping in and out of Sugar Street since before the change in ownership. This place has been my sweet tooth bakery of choice for a while now but Sugar Street is a must stop for any meal. The breakfast burrito is substantial, absolute delicious and good enough to fight over! (Not pictured below) OMG!! The Turkey Club and their BOWLS are so amazing! If you've been there - then you're already a fan - if NOT - get there right away. You wont be disappointed!

What a cool find. My new office is across the street and I arrived early on my first day, hungry. They have a scratch breakfast menu with lots of choices, some really healthy and some more delicious than healthy (I’m looking at you biscuit and grandma’s sausage gravy). The oat milk cold chai tea hit the spot on this 95 degree day, the burrito was generously proportioned, and the staff were really friendly (maybe that’s everywhere in Portland? I’m new here so a smiling face was nice, first thing in the morning).

Went in around 8:45 am (they open at 8 in current times) after a run around the river. Standard drink menu, breakfast options looked delish but... I just bought sweets. Cupcakes - look very uniform and delicious. Carrot cake was fantastic. Lemon raspberry (seasonal) was good texture but light on the flavor; more similar to vanilla. I’d pick a different flavor next time. (Salty pretzel on top, maybe??) I also got a delicious double chocolate cookie. Perfect soft texture, sugar topped, and almost hot chocolate / baking cocoa flavor. Not too sweet! The server was really nice. I was indecisive and she did not rush me but helped me decide.

The staff was friendly and professional, the store was clean, bright and open, and the food was delicious with great proportions to price. Ordering ahead of time was not a problem. Enough parking to get and go. Sugar Street, keep doing what you're doing, it's great.

Visited this coffee shop while in Portland. I had a cup of London Fog and a few pastries. Staff were excellent and menu items were priced generously.

Every time I am here, it reboots my mind. The ambiance of this place is relaxed and fun, and the food is amazing on all accounts. Shelby M. the manager is so kind and knows exactly how to answer all my questions. The music here is SPOT ON to the atmosphere they want to create. Kennedy was kind and helpful, and patient with me, as I didn't know what I wanted when I first walked in. This whole team deserves a shout out! 11/10 recommend for daytime relaxed bites, solo or with others.

My wife and I got our wedding cake from Sugar Street, and it was amazing! Their staff and their baker did an absolutely wonderful job with our cake, and we couldn't be happier with it. We absolutely recommend anybody needing a fancy cake for a wedding or party go to Sugar Street to get it.

We have been planning on trying these pancakes for months now, finally pulled the trigger and was beyond disappointed. I orederd online for ASAP pickup, received a call 10 mins before it was supposed to be ready saying the only person there doesnt know how to make the batter. Being flexible, instead of getting a refund, I agreed to just get them the following day. I called and was told they would be ready at 1035am so I showed up a couple mins early and was fully ignored for 20 mins! Then, finally given burnt on the outside and raw on the inside pancakes. Now, since I paid with a card, I have to wait for my money whenever the banks get to it. Now, its way past breakfast time and we are starving. Now, I am livid! Train those poor boys damn it! These pictures were taken within 2 mins of pickup. I saw the raw batter all over the inside and outside of the box and asked if that was raw batter, his reply was "no, thats from the machine" I swiped some and tasted it right there and confirmed it was in fact cold, raw batter. Just like the inside and sides of the burnt cakes.

Rose/strawberry/lavender/Galaxy berry macaroons 😩🖤 DELICIOUS. The rose is so light and subtle, but, floral and sweet, a must try!

Had the Uber cream cheese bun, the almond croissant 🥐 and the Uber lava cheese cake. They’re all to die for. Excellent quality pastry. It’s a hidden gem in terms of quality desserts. It’s mostly just to take out to go. Have had the dark Amethyst dark chocolate and raspberry before and it’s delicious and so well made. Definitely worth it.

Desserts and coffee were delicious and looked super cute. We tried a lavendar honey cake, crepe cake and a raspberry mousse cake, all were picture worthy and delicious (crepe cake just tasted like whip cream though). The shop itself was a little small and messy with only outdoor seating only.

My favorite dessert shop in town. Their anything Ube is the best. My most favorite is the ube tart, not too sweet with a hint of sour.

LOVE this place! The staff are really welcoming and their pastries are amazing. There's a ton of different options and my favorite are the small mousse cakes on the bottom shelf. They are super velvety and smooth. Tried the Raspberry Fantasy mousse today and WOW. Everything is made from scratch and the boba teas are splendid too. I haven't tried the Japanese souffle pancakes but I hear they're the bomb. Will continue to be back!

I was there to buy cakes and I asked for second box. They charged $1.50 the box. The guy cashier said the box only for 8 cakes but I bought more than 10. Does that makes sense? I don't understand the store policy. Just because the box they will lose a customer. 🙂

I love this bakery! The food is delicious, there's a huge variety, and everything is very affordable. The people who work here are really nice, too! I love coming here to get a light breakfast. Also, the hongkong milk tea is really good; not too sweet, which goes perfectly with the pastries.

Pastries and buns were decent before New ownership. We purchased when new owners took over 2 years ago and everything tasted differently and not in a good way. We haven’t been back since until this past weekend. We had hoped that they would improved after 2 years. Things gotten worse. 1. Long wait time. 2 ladies behind the counter with 3 customers waiting and we had to wait for almost 10 minutes to be served. 2. Mochi with peanuts and coconut fillings was one of the signature treats under previous ownership. Mochi was noticeably firmer. The worse thing was they used stale peanuts which gave a bad distinct aroma and taste. 3. My son loved their beef curry buns before, so we purchased one for him. When I picked it up from the box at home, the curry bun was as light as air and there was literally a small dab of curry sauce in it, as seen in attached picture. Very sad to say, we will never go back. We love to support smaller, mom & pop businesses but with quality like these, it makes it impossible to justify any future visits. Owner, please spend time and effort to improve your craft or you’ll end up closing the business in no time.

Disappointed to see King’s Bakery marked as ‘temporarily closed’ (as of the time of this review), and I hope they’re doing well. I visited multiple times within a few weeks of finding them—the food was always delicious, especially the hot dog buns, and we were so excited to find Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese custard tart) at a local bakery. The service was always polite, and the food was satisfying, affordable, and consistently good quality. I was surprised by the number of one-star reviews. Complaints about not being given extra boxes for free, not receiving bonus items just for buying pastries (after questioning their authenticity..), or vague accusations of “rude service” coming from reviewers who sound suspiciously entitled themselves - that all says a lot more about those customers than it does about the bakery. King’s was a lovely local spot, and I hope to visit them again sometime.

Years of driving down 82nd for various reasons, going someplace, coming back, I had never really thought about all the interesting little paces tucked away in plain sight as I passed through the Jade District. Places that simply never broke through my vague distaste of the traffic and lack of trees. And then suddenly as I drove along, I noticed King's Bakery with its bright yellow and red sign, as if it had just appeared out of the east side mists like a beacon appearing to a lost sailor. I did a quick u-turn, parked next to a graffiti covered wall and ventured tentatively into a garden of earthly delights. The young staff were very welcoming and immediately put me at ease and suddenly I was enthralled by a large selection of mysterious and interesting pastries. My first thought was, why has it taken me so many years to find this place? Everything looked amazing. I got a Curry Bun that was fabulous, and a hilarious pastry with lots of hot dog pieces sticking out of it, I haven't seen such a thing since I last left Asia many years ago. Over the years, I lamented to myself the American lack of fun delicious eclectic pastries, thinking I would never see or taste such a thing again. My wife simply dies for sesame balls with red bean paste and I got her two huge ones. I also got her a custard bun that she thought was amazing. She is a picky eater and when she comes to me later and says, "That was wonderful", my heart absolutely sings. I also got her a Wife Bun, which she didn't like quite as much, but I was already way ahead on the happy wife scale, so I'm going with it. The hot dog pastry took me back 30 years to my travels abroad and the BBQ Pork Bun was spot on. Suddenly 82nd becomes a different kind of place. Not just a busy, slightly run down area that doesn't look particularly safe, but a treasure hunt with welcoming people and truly delicious food. It was around 1:00 and the staff advised me several times that I should come early for a better selection, which honestly boggled my imagination a bit. I already thought they had a great selection, what must the early morning be like? When you drive down that traffic laden corridor, pay attention to the offerings that pop up along the way! You'll be amazed! And absolutely drop into King's Bakery and grab a selection of interesting goodies. You might not love all of them, but you'll really love some of them. It's worth the trip.

Best bakery in Portland . They made A very beautiful and delicious cake for My daughters sweet 16 birthday party . I am very happy with their customer Service. I highly recommend them .

Heard good things about this restaurant. Gave it a try on a Friday afternoon. Waited about 5 min to be seated. Lots to choose from on menu. We went with the breakfast options. The country fried steak was chewy. The biscuits were really dry. Stuffed hashbrowns were good. We got 2 pieces of pie to go. Strawberry rhubarb and Elvis. Wasn't impressed with the strawberry rhubarb. The Elvis was delicious. Pie slices start at $6 and go up. Might stop again for pie slices to go.

A Tigard institution (known for their pies I guess?) Had a nice big breakfast here — omelet with a side of pancakes! — but there’s also a full menu of other comfort food, with lunch and dinner items, and it’s open 7 days. Think of it as a modern diner - a bit more up to date, and without the old fashioned decor. There are booths and tables, and an outside patio, and the server I had was great. There’s a parking lot in the back, too.

The food was sooo good and the staff was very kind. It had a very cozy atmosphere. Easy to see why they've been in business for so long.

A mom & pop one off, family, American food restaurant with outstanding pies and cakes, formerly, a 24 hour establishment. I have visited here many times over the years. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the greater Portland area, located in SW, on Hwy 99W, in Tigard, Oregon. Last night, a friend bought me dinner. We both had the Tillamook cheddar cheese burger, which was great . . but better still . . I had the chicken and corn chowder, which was incredible. We later split a large piece of carrot cake. That was the absolute best carrot cake we've ever had! Perfect blend of ingedients, moistness and texture. Simply wonderful! Our server was great as well and a fantastic dinner overall. I really wish they would go back to being a 24/7 restaurant, again. There are so few decent, all hours restaurants these days, since 2020. Other overnight food options are not very good . . usually just Seven Eleven . . and many have started pulling their hot food early, instead of keeping it going until about 2:30am like most of them used to. Does anyone remember Lyon's, Quality Pies, Original Hotcake House, Roxy's? All the Sharri's are shut down, now. A lot of the Denny's that are left, are not very good. Taco Bell seems to get it and a handfull of Mc Donald's . . but they are a big downgrade compared to the all night, sit down restaurants and truckstops eateries that we used to have. The nightlife in Portland has been being chipped away at, for quite a few years and 24hr restaurants used to be a big part of it . . . since 2020, it has really been damaged. Even Newport Oregon used to have a 24hr restaurant, The Piptide. Astoria's Pig 'n' Pancake, used to be 24hrs, as well . .

So I started with some delicious crayons!!😁👍🏻 lol. I must say, I have drove by this restaurant many times and never had the opportunity to stop by till today. What an amazing atmosphere let alone the setting was so pleasant. The food was delicious and I will recommend this restaurant to anyone to come and try it. My party of eight only waited maybe 5 minutes tops. Quick service and friendly. More than enough parking also.

We were all hungry for different things, from comfort food to breakfast. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. First of all, our waitress Ava was very friendly and attentive. She didn't miss a beat and was so sweet to talk with. We all found great things to order, such as chicken marsala, kids' chicken strips, a breakfast bowl, and a breakfast special. My side salad was crisp and fresh, along with the delicious salad dressings. Portions were generous as well. The fun part was ordering dessert! The display case is visible right when you enter so you can stratigize your selection. The Keylime pie was scrumptious and perfectly creamy and tart. The Elvis pie was so good as well. It's a perfect mix of chocolate, banana cream, and peanut butter. And I'm not even a peanut butter lover. All in all, very good! We will definitely be back for more.

We recently moved to this area and understand that this place is old and holds a lot of memories for many people, but the food was disappointing. When you order Eggs Benedict, you literally just get the Eggs Benedict — nothing else on the side. Overall, it didn’t leave us wanting to come back
