I tried this breakfast bread topped with melted cheese and mayo and pork belly and chopped broccoli. Only in Asia will serve this kind of breakfast and I really enjoy it.

FANTASTIC!! This was worth the visit, a small typical Japanese/French boulangerie. The breads were awesome, so was the coffee and even the salad was just perfect. Would have loved to visited more often but so much to eat and try in Osaka! Glad we didn't skip this one.

🙌🥐🙌The best croissants in the ENTIRE WORLD!🙌🥐🙌 I’m a self proclaimed croissant addict. I made a rule when I visited France recently that when I found a croissant, I’d buy one at each place I went. As a Canadian I’m spoiled with the French pastries in Québec but I’ve yet to find a croissant that comes even close to THESE croissants. First off I want to mention that if you can’t read Japanese, you’ll need to bring a Google translate camera feature (or similar) to decipher what each of the baked goods are. It’d be really hard to know what each item is otherwise. For instance, I love a cheesy croissant and would’ve been fooled by the almond cream filled one had I not had the translate.

One of my favorite Cafe in Osaka. Location wise it’s perfectly placed very close to “Osaka Castle”, which makes it the perfect place for breakfast or lunch. They make amazing pastry and sandwiches (check my photos below). The coffee is also excellent - I only tried the cappuccino. Staff is super friendly and nice. They also speak decent English, so it’s easy to order and get around.

Some of the best food I've ever eaten, hands down the best baked goods. It me never want to leave Japan! My two friends and I ate here for breakfast every morning in Osaka after we discovered it, and complained for the rest of our trip that we couldnt find a bakery as good again.

This bakery is absolutely amazing. They have very tasty sausage rolls, incredible plum cakes with gentle crust and creamy filling, patties with veggie curry and green tea cakes as soft as angels breath. I would live there if I could.

Pretty good croissant. They baked fresh ones frequently and ring the bell when ready. I would recommend the original flavour when they are freshly baked. I also tried the mocha one, crispy but may be better when warmed up.

We were offered to taste the original croissant. I expected it to be plain but it's glazed with something sweet. We bought a set of 5 and you can only have one original flavor mixed with the other variants. The taste was okay and fine for the price. The staff was very friendly too.

Bought 4 different flavoured croissants and they were all equally amazing. The croissant itself was both warm and flaky, the fillings were generous and flavourful, making a great combination. It was also relatively priced, don’t exactly remember how much the set of 4 costs but it was less than ¥1000. Wow. The egg salad sandwich croissant is like Lawson and 711, but on steroids. Place it inside a crispy, buttery, croissant? Definitely one of the best egg salad carbohydrate items I’ve had on this trip. Cute little croissants, about 3 large bites or 4 normal sized bites. I honestly didn’t care for the kind of overcooked sliced egg inside, but for $2 USD, this is an insane deal. No line when I went at 4-5pm, i just wish I had gotten 4 more. Would definitely come again on my next trip. Skip the muscat soufflé, oddly dry and cream wasn’t that good. Please open other locations.

Delicious petite croissant for a reasonable price. They’re so flaky, airy and filling. My fave was the one filled with creamy eggs with a small pinch of paprika on top. I could eat a dozen of those! So, so good!

The bakery shop I don’t having queue the day I went I want to try them croissant and bought 5 pieces set, the croissant is good the dough is delicious but it contain sweet that I just don’t like (just for me :)) overalls it’s good. The price is ok.

This was a surprising delight when visiting Osaka Castle! I went in with not many expectations, and came out a huge fan. The mini pizzas ARE A MUST TRY!!! I was tempted to go back again for more after I finished touring the castle, they were THAT good.

Excellent start for the journey to the Castle. All the products we tasted were first class. Beautiful park to shop and enjoy the delicacies under the sun sitting on the seats in the square. Don't miss the chocolate products: babka, scon. The melon bread and the bread stuffed with pastry cream were also delicious.

This was possibly the best bakery ever .seriously unbelievable fresh bakes, natural yeast breads from rice flour. Wow so impressed we got 4 blue cheese and honey slices. Definitely recommend

Cozy place near Osaka castle, where you serve yourself among many types of breads and pastries (and there are many, you'll want them all!), they heat it up and you can sit and eat overlooking the park. We got three types of bake and they were all tasty, the dough itself delicious! Also very good price (10 quid for three different bakes and two coffees). Don't go to Starbucks, go to R Baker!

As far as I noticed, terraces are available with dogs. The atmosphere was pretty chill and the outside is comfortable in this autumn season! They have toasters in the eating space, so you can bake the bread that you get:))

Found this bakery on the way back to the hotel. A lot of unique bread sells here, this time O tried chocolate cream bread, green curry and egg plant, and ham cheese flavor. The chocolate cream bread was ok, I prefer if they have more filling. The green curry and ham cheese were great.

AMAZING !! A massive selection of first class bakery items ... sweet and savoury - whatever you prefer - there is something here for you (actually, several things). Staff friendly and courteous. Prices excellent - especially considering the quality. My favourite (and i tried many items over several days) was the cupcake looking thing with caramel and nuts on top ... turned out to be a cupcake-croissant-style pastry ... AMAZING !!

Good place for a cheap coffee and roll or bun. Walnut roll recommended. They have cute bear buns if you or your kid like that sort of thing.

We had pastries, buns and sandwiches for breakfast here in early January 2023, which were delicious. The prices were very reasonable. The lay-out, simple and clean although a bit cramped. Not recommended if you want to sit leisurely to have your coffee. Suitable for having a quick bite.

We got the matcha croissant and it was fantastic!! The matcha flavour was strong and the croissant was still crispy even with the matcha coating on top. There was some matcha jam/cream inside which was nice as well. We came back another day to try out more pastries: raspberry croissant, butter sugar bread (looks like melon pan), petit donuts, and a slice of pizza. Unfortunately these were a letdown. The raspberry croissant was so soggy… It didn’t feel freshly made at all. I was questioning whether it was last night’s unsold bread. Butter sugar bread was also mid, nothing to yell about. I was expecting the petit donuts to be plain donut balls, but there was red bean (?) stuffing inside which I didn’t like. The pizza slice was packed with ingredients – prawns, chicken, potato salad. But it was super soggy from all the toppings and oil. We bought all of these in the morning so I’m confused by the poor quality. 2/5 cuz I really enjoyed the matcha croissant and the pastries look stunning!! But the inconsistency is throwing me off. We chanced upon this place trying to find our way out of the subway. Became our daily breakfast spot. Wanted to try everything, only got through most. The breads were hit and miss, some like ham and onion and sugar donut, excellent, the pesto or the burger, thumbs down. Overall experience lots of fun to try all the breads.

I liked it, I got bread every morning here and it was fresh. Even got it before I left Osaka to eat one on the train back to Tokyo.

While I couldn't read them, using my phone's translator revealed the thoughtful descriptions on each creation. please excuse for causing any inconvenience 😅 The chestnut bun was a delightful surprise, and their donuts were absolutely heavenly - clearly made fresh in-house. Even though I was on my way to dinner, I couldn't resist trying a few pieces. This hidden gem is definitely worth stopping by, and if I lived in the area, I'd be a regular customer. We walked a bit to try this bakery and it was totally worth it. Don’t be fooled by the outside looks or the size of it. They have a great variety of sweet and savory stuff that you will totally love. We bought >7 pieces and we ate them all in one sit 🤭. The quality, consistency and freshness was on spot. Prices were good too.

A very nice little bakery in a neighborhood that unfortunately doesn't have many. It's a pretty small store, but they have a surprisingly large variety of bread, with especially their sandwiches and burgers being quite good. The donuts and coconut-cream bread are some of my favorites as well. Prices are very reasonable given the quality. If you go around lunch and/or dinner time though, expect to have to wait outside for a while. They only let 5 people in at a time (due to the limited size of the shop) and the people working the register are rather slow (mostly due to every single piece of bread having to be wrapped individually, which isn't very environmentally friendly or very time-efficient) so expect to wait between 5-10 minutes outside.

My wife and I found this place by accident but it looked so yummy from the outside, that we had to go in and look what things they had to offer. First of all the smell is stunning and we just wanted to buy every single piece. We decided to buy a big bread which we ate for dinner just with some butter. For us as Germans who haven’t been in Germany since one year this was absolutely mindblowing and we enjoyed eating this bread soo much.

Bread is really good, but be prepared to wait. Staff at the register seems to take their time, and since the shop is small it takes a while to get in. Whether a 30 minute wait seems reasonable for some pastries is a question only you can answer. Loads of staff in the back mean that bread keeps being stocked throughout the day, but it’s a little galling that none of the six bakers feel the need to help out front, and the guy at the register feels he has time to jot down notes in between ringing up customers.

I walked by today and noticed a long line for brunch, so I decided to stop in and grab a croissant and some bread to go. I was pleasantly surprised — their croissant is quite good, easily comparable to the best I’ve had in the U.S., Canada, and even France.

We picked up breakfast here three times on our trip and it was always a highlight!! The pain au chocolat was really buttery and light, the shell on the cinnamon roll was crunchy and not too sweet, and their seasonal chestnut koign amann was one of the best pastries I've had and kickstarted a week-long chesnut obsession through the duration of our trip. The ladies working there were also super sweet. Really recommend if you're in the area!

I have been living in Japan for 3 years. I am big fan of bread (i am also french but doesn’t this really matter). I have been to several places in Japan to try bread. This is from so far the best bread I got so far. The baguette was crusty and soft inside all the ingredients was tasty and matching all together. It’s a need to go place. Highly recommend. I thought for a while that bread was unable to be as good as in France due to humidity level that is different and also because flour was different. But I was probably wrong technic may have been the issue. Incredible bread, incredible experience and really good service. Thank you for everything.

Decided to try out this place before we left the hotel nearby. It was quite crowded in the dine in queue but the takeout queue was bearable. We got a few buns to try. All of them were exceptionally good especially the croissant and curry fried moji! Really impressive 👍🏻

Very fast, kind, and attentive service. For the drinks we ordered Ice chocolate and Hot coffee, both yummy. For the breads, we chose Cinnamon Roll, Bacon Twist, and Pecan Nut Coffee Roll. The cinnamon roll is a sweet but not too sweet soft fluffy bread. The bacon twist is savory with no weird filler sauces. Their new bread, the pecan nut coffee, blew our minds. It has candied pecans with a light fluffy cream on top and a strong coffee taste inside. Everything was very delicious.

There's nowhere to sit here, but it's conveniently located next to the Shinkansen gates, so you can pick up some doughnuts before you get on the train.

Koppe Pan is such a cute spot! They’ve got freshly baked koppe pan with a variety of fillings, both savory and sweet. It’s super delicious and soft. The cream soda I had was so refreshing too. Definitely a place you don’t want to miss!

Small bakery about 15 mins walk from Osaka castle. Worth the walk. Shop is small that only 2 customers can enter. Hence, there is a queue to enter the shop. Bread is excellent according to my wife who is picky on her food. So it must be good. The bread is soft and red bean paste is added. Their savoury bread such as luncheon meat and prawns are good. We sat by the park next to river to enjoy the bread and view.

The cutest and retro bakery you could ever seen in Osaka, it’s very hidden but worth the trip! Specially for a picnic near Sakuranomiya bridge park, you can grab some special hotdog bread sandwiches like their shrimp katsu or chicken! No parking space available. Their cookies are also good but pricey, they make a special souvenir!

Really cute shop. Wide variety of submarine style sandwiches on soft white bread. If you’re looking for a crusty or European style bread it’s not for you.

An absolute must-have if you’re in the area. The cream filled croissant was incredible. My partner had the cinnamon bun and thought it was fantastic, filled with flavour and currants. I also had the cranberry bun which was packed full of cranberries and covered in a delicious glaze. It makes me so sad to know we’re leaving and won’t get to have another! I will dream of those cream croissants! We walked up to a nearby park (Kitaoe Park) and ate them on a bench watching the pigeons. It was bliss.

I tried the custard cream bread and the cinnamon roll. The custard cream was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the bread had a moist and chewy texture☁️☁️ And the cinnamon roll was the best I’ve ever had!!! It was dense yet soft, with a rich cinnamon jam and delightful bits of fruit scattered throughout. The glaze on top enhanced the roll, keeping it moist and flavorful👍 (Biulangerie FUKUSHIMA is the takeout- only store)

Discovered by accident, this little boulangerie had all the goods. We ate a delicious ham roll, and shared a cream filled croissant..both were great! Fresh, tasty. No seated area, but there is a park close by.

We came here yesterday and had to come back again! The bakes were perfect once again, full of flavour and so well balanced in terms of texture and sweetness. Not pictured here is the cream cheese and walnut bun which was exquisite but got devoured too fast to take a picture. It’s a pity this isn’t our local bakery!! The staff are very lovely and the price is reasonable too.

One of the best Boulangeries I’ve ever been to, especially in Japan. We came at 8.30 when it had just opened so everything was super fresh but my goodness was it delicious. The cheese toastie was incredible, filled with meat and so much flavour! The pastries we had were amazing too. One with cream cheese and raspberry jam (nom) and another filled with poppy seed and nuts. Pastry was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. All the ingredients seemed very high quality and the staff were very friendly. Couldn’t fault it really. There is no seating but we went to a nearby park to eat it. Lovely experience all in all.

Being a Belgian living in Osaka I struggle to find European style bread and other types of genoisserie. A few weeks ago I visited Boulangerie Fukushima for the first time and I was very pleasantly surprised! They sold delicious bread with a crispy crust and soft interior and they sliced it for me in my preferred thickness. I’ll definitely be stopping by again!

We came here by chance on our way to the castle. Coming from Germany we are used to great bakeries. This one holds up very good and is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.
