Love this place. Went here for a chai latte a week ago and have been back for breakfast 2 times since. Everything we've had was delicious. The apple marmalade that comes with the bread is delicious. Our servers were great both times. And the chai lattes are unbeatable. Can't wait to come back.

This place is very cute and a trully coffee shop. When you come in, you instantaneously feel the coffee culture and not just a trendy coffee place. It is a place that invites you to learn a bit above the average about the cup of coffe you will order. I guess, I liked all the love and science they put into the whole coffee bussiness to increase consumers' knowledge and awerness of all the work that is behind a cup of coffee you will enjoy at their shop. Besides, the details of the location and the baristas' technique to get you a beautifull coffee foam design, thats it is also impresive to see because it shows practice. I got a coffee husk latte that was exceptional and unique and also a delicious guava cake. I just visited this place to grab a coffee but they carry out breakfast that seemed also very tasty. I got there right when they open at 8:30 am, it seems that they get quite busy all the time and a line stats when they run out of space inside, but staff seems to manage people flow quite alright.

If you are looking for the best breakfast in San Miguel de Allende, with a relaxed and fresh atmosphere, this coffeeshop is your best choice! We loved the lavender latte, latte de cáscara, pan francés, pan de plátano, and fresh fruit. They also have plenty of savory options and refreshing lemonades. The service was lovely and even brought us two portions of bread with jam for free! 10/10 recommend! 🤎❤️ Especially on the third floor if you are looking for a rooftop experience.

Good coffee for sure. If you are hungry, the Cazuela is very good. can be quite busy right there on the edge of the Mercado Artesanias. During our visit, the service was fairly slow. We were sitting up on the third level, and I think that they didn’t want to climb the stairs more than they had to.😅

I love the lavender latte here, it instantly calms me down from the smell and touch of real lavender on top of my latte foam. I will say, I expected more from the hype - it was recommended by everyone I know. I got the cazuela, and it was really good - again, nothing special and out of this world for the long wait line. As far as ambiance, maybe I was expecting a lot more again - I expected more garden vibes with lavender all over. But it was pretty basic, not much greenery. I did love their lavender cookie though, I highly recommend. It’s very sugary, but I just love the lavender icing on top, so good. I would come back for that coffee and cookie. 😍

It was a busy Wednesday but food and service was good, waiting time is about 20 minutes for food, overall it was a good time. Drinks are amazing.

They serve upscale food. I had the stuffed chicken breast. It was good, but not great. My husband had the fajitas. The churros and chocolate we're amazing. Nice quiet atmosphere, even though they are always packed.

Café San Agustín is the place to go if you’re craving something sweet and absolutely magical. This churro spot is famous for a reason it truly lives up to the hype. We tried a few different options, and my personal favorite was the Lechera. If you love caramel, you won’t be disappointed. A close second was the Cajeta, also delicious. One note to take into consideration, this is a very popular place so don’t be in a rush when visiting, the staff put you on a waiting list and are super helpful. But bare in mind that you might need to wait 15 minutes. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth!

The best churros I’ve had in my life. It was so addicting and just overall delicious. A lot of churros I’ve had before just feel too oily and I don’t go beyond 1 piece but this one, no. I could have had more pieces if I didn’t just come from a big meal. It was really that good. We also had an iced latte and iced chocolate and they had different options for the chocolate but we for the iced one, I think this is the only option. It was the French chocolate one and it was also delicious. Perfectly refreshing and perfectly paired with the churro. I would go back to SMDA just for this alone.

San Agustín serves good churros. The place is so popular that you’ll likely have to wait quite a while, but the atmosphere is lovely and cosy, definitely worth the visit.

Based on reviews I was expecting amazing churros, but what we got was pretty ordinary. The churros were not very hot and I believe they had been probably cooked prior to pur order. The Mexican hit chocolate was tasty, but my partner's iced white chocolate was underwhelming. In terms of atmosphere, no music playing and pretty dull. Maybe it was this way because it's a Monday. I still think you should give it a visit if you're around and craving churros.

We visited this place for the first time in 2022, and it was amazing. Every Summer since then that we have returned, the quality of the churros and ice cream has diminished. We miss the old San Agustin. Please bring back quality food. Pieces have increased while quality has decreased. Thank you for considering.

50 min wait for breakfast with place 1/3 full. Then food come cold. Tried churros on 2 separate occasions and they are making them fresh right there but they manage to serve them to us cold. Go somewhere else.

The outdoors sitting it’s soooo cute! Many cool pics taken here. It made me feel I was hanging out in a cute garden inside of a beautiful hacienda. I love it!!

Fabulous experience. The cafe is quite large inside! The temperature was perfect. Also, there are outlets everywhere for you to plug in. The wifi works excellently. Our cafe mocha was delicious as usual.

The best Starbucks location anywhere, the courtyard is beautiful sunny with dappled shape, a tranquil atmosphere. The only downside is they only sell Chiapas blend coffee and no pike or house blend

Starbucks in San Miguel de Allende is One of the most beautiful Starbucks cafes that I’ve ever seen! Coffee was good as always and the staff was so nice and patient! Especially with a someone like me who speaks terrible Spanish.

STOP! This is the most incredible Starbucks I’ve ever been to! It’s so beautiful and comfortable! And my Venti Latte, made with Heavy Cream by Mary, was perfecto!!!

Why Is this Starbucks more expensive than any other in Mexico? More than in Mexico city or Querétaro, the difference is like 22 pesos per drink, unfair for locals ,not all the people in San Miguel are tourists... and the worst doesn't have a toilet! That's just rubbish, this is the first Starbucks I've been that doesn't have one,not even with the expensive drinks they can provide this service .and the drinks are not tasty .

Kudos to being the only coffee shop open in SMA before 8am! Appreciated prompt service and complimentary WiFi. Nice courtyard and indoor areas both.

Great place for unique artisan items. And half the price as the other locations. We bought many beautiful art pieces. The upstairs cafe has amazing waffles and other gluten free items.

Great place to experience vegetarian and healthy foods to support a vibrant life. Many merchants to choose especially on Saturdays which features artisans of music, art and food in a festive ooen air atmosphere. A must visit in San Miguel.

There’s a Saturday farmers’ market here. Lots of fun things to look at, delicious food to eat and live music! The supermarket inside also is full of organic and high-end items.

Very cute organic market. Lots of organic fresh produce as well as a variety of healthy food stalls selling everything from sushi to pastries. You can also find beauty and health products, jewelry and beautiful ceramics here. Enjoyed the life music!

Great place to find what you didn't think you needed. Its made up ofblots of different vendors, cafe, juice bars, arts and craft, organic fruit and veg, lots of vegan options and every Saturday they have a market on, which is worth a visit. Highly recommended this place.

Insanely good! The vanilla custard filled conchas are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! (the custard was still warm at 10 am) Every pastry was perfect.

I'm a pan dulce lover. I can always tell when the bread is fresh and when it's old. I was super excited to try this place since I was visiting all the way from Texas and a TikTok account made this place sound amazing. The bread is dry and covered in bees. The lady that seems to be the manager is super rude. Not pleasant/not welcoming at all. This place is not anything to be excited about. Bummer.

This really is a great bakery. Lots of locals which is always a good sign. I literally went every day for Six days straight. Grab a tray and some tongs and load er up. The empanadas are particularly good. They seem to run out so go earlier in the morning for the best selection. Everything else I tried was quite good also (I didn’t try the bread though - looked pretty standard). I kept hoping for the Mexican brownies but they never seemed to have them. I guess they sell out pretty quickly when they put a batch out. Very reasonable prices. Don’t be put off by the atmosphere - a few bees never killed anyone (unless you are allergic I suppose) I’ve seen worse at many Tim Hortons. highly recommend!

The staff there was super friendly and helpful in helping us and answering our questions about the pandemic dulce and bolillos. The pan dulce was delicious, too. A perfect dessert. I’m seeing a lot of complaints about bees on the bread (I didn’t have that experience) but when it’s in the name (colmena = beehive), what did you expect! 🐝

What a wonderful little gem. Freshly baked goodies and coffee. What I really liked is that they open early at 7:30. I had a delicious croissant and cappuccino. Very popular, so don't miss out.

The people working there are so helpful and friendly. Their version of sourdough bread (masa madre) is made in a variety of bread styles from loafs to baguettes which usually sell out by 11:30 a.m. The bread shown in the photograph is great for making panini sandwiches. I have tried several bakeries in town and this one is definitely on the top of my list.

Great Italian bakery. My go-to place three times a week. It's really needed. It's very different than having a Mexican bakery. The u.s. is more used to this type of bake goods.

We have been here a couple of time and will keep coming back for their amazing bread and pastry selection. They also have a great sitting area in back where you can sit and enjoy their wonderful coffee.

This place is SO GREAT. The owner is so sweet and the croissants and pastries are so good. We took a croissant making class and it was one of the coolest experiences ever. We came in 2021 and I can’t wait to go back!!!

Great cafe right around the corner from our home in Colony San Antonio. Awesome breakfast, bruch/lunch. Great service and incredible baked goods. While we were here, there was great musical entertainment taking place. A must-see in Colony San Antonio.

The sourdough is really good and the Bagels look amazing but aren't vegan so i couldn't have one. Everyone in the Bakery are very focused, reminds me of a East London hipster bakery/cafe. The Americano is the closest to what I call a Long Black in town. Great medium roast, super tasty. Would love to see some more vegan options as I would happily eat here as the food does look good.

This place was beyond delicious!! We got coffees, pastries and entrees, and they were all a 10/10!! The staff was very sweet and helpful since it was our first time there. :)

Delicious bread and sandwiches. Chicken sandwich didn't include a whole lot of chicken though, it had more veggies. Muffins are delicious so I'll be getting some muffins there next time.

Amazing new local bakery in a beautiful space on Stirling Dickinson. Delicious pastries and bread, and their first pizza night is coming up. They are letting their dough rise overnight and will be using high-temp ovens to get an authentic crispy chewy crust. Can’t wait!

Cool environment. I have gone here a few times. Best time to go is for their breakfast buffet which i believe are mainly served on the weekends. This time around we did go during the week. We had a big group, 13 all together. We just walked in and there was space for us. The food is good. They had a happy hour for 2x1 on Wednesday (do not know if this is a daily special). The happy hour only included local beer and the lime margaritas. For bigger parties do expect a wait time on food and drinks. This may have just been our experience but we did have about a 20/25 minute wait time for both food and drinks. As previously mentioned we were a big party and we were walkin’s. This has definitely become more of a tourist place. Did not see many locals. Located about a 5 minute walk from the main church downtown.

A really beautiful restaurant with delicious Italian food. Quite pricey but the serving size and the taste of the food makes up for it. It’s also a very instagrammable place. Quite like a garden. I think there are also nights when they have live musicians which could be nice.

Food was decent, wouldn’t say I’d come back but if you’re hungry it’ll do. I think the tortilla soup and ribeye were the only good dishes, but had 2 people at our table send their steak back because it was uncooked. Service was good, yet I had to ask for utensils and an extra cup like 3 different times. The atmosphere is nice, there’s a small Mini split inside the bar area. And the patio is nice but we were unable to sit at the nice patio area, due to reservations. The Cesar salad wasn’t great btw!!

The atmosphere was amazing. Live music. Fast service. I wouldn't recommend the pizza. The cheese is different. Good soup and bread. Drinks were good as well.

This was our second time here, love this place over all! The food is great quality and not to mention the delicious mango margarita (frozen). They also have a happy hour I believe during the week. Prices are fair. My only complaint both times is the server tends to forget about his smaller tables. It is nice to see that the staff doesn’t change since it was a year apart from my visits.

The food was great. The service was great too. Very nice relaxing place. Loved it all, but we did have an issue, the waiter was nice but once we paid the check we were going to leave the tip on the table ones he starts telling us that we should leave a tip for him. He starts giving us a small speech explaining to us that he has to pay the place 10% of whatever we consume so he kind of made us feel like we had to leave that tip. Which we did but we did not like that action he took. Still very nice place, but they should train the waiters not to make the clients feel they have to give a tip. I feel that should be optional.

This is Italian food with a Mexican twist. Food is average, ambience is great. Lasagna was not good. Crust of pizza needs to be cooked a little more. Steak was alright.

Severe food poisoning. Please do not eat here before they make some HUGE CHANGES. Yesterday I had a late lunch at this location. I came back with the most severe case of food poisoning. I have never experienced anything this bad in my life before. I was throwing up for hours almost to the edge of going unconscious. We had to call doctors and they had to put drip IV inside me. I am shocked at how bad the food poisoning was from eating at this place. "Please be warned"! 🙏🏽

The service was spectacular. We had Manuel as our server and we were blown away by his attentiveness and his desire to serve us. Very kind & professional. We also asked for Vegan options which, although limited, were adequate. Food was yummy. Fun music too.

First time here. Very cool layout and close to centro (really close). The best part. Pancakes. Cooked to perfection. The ok part. The wife’s omelet The not so ok parts. My egg dish that comes with corn and carrots inside was dry as all get out. The wife got lemonade with mineral water came served warm instead of cold. Our server was decent. Never came and asked how things were though.

Great breakfast location. Limited seating in the patio area. But its worth the wait if any. They usually have a person playing music. The fountain is nice touch. The food is good. I love the bolillo in the morning, fresh, to help soak up the beans and salsa. Price is very reasonable.

I had huevos Ranchero, which was simple but tasty. My husband had home cured salmon with goat cheese in scrambled eggs. They were both very good. We ate in the patio which was cozy and well decorated. For lunch they have mini pizzas and sandwiches. Breakfast menu is more elaborate.

Still our favourite breakfast place in San Miguel. The Spanish Tortilla is delicious, great coffee, orange juice and fried potatoes. Pleasant service and atmosphere. We had 2 cafe lattes each, extra fried potatoes, a huge fresh squeezed orange juice, the Spanish Tortilla and eggs and bacon. Total bill with a generous tip was $500 pesos.

Cafe Oso Azul is a great, low-key place to grab breakfast. Quality food and super sweet wait staff who are patient, kind, and always smiling. Courtyard was quiet and serene (we arrived at open on a Monday morning). Tasty coffee served in oversized mugs; both Mexi Mocha and Dirty Chai latte were solid. Wife enjoyed a veggie omelette & fruit plate, and I the chilaquiles verdes con pollo. Side salsas (both red and green) are super tasty and very picante. Fresh squeezed orange juice is superb. Portion sizes are perfect, and price is great. Again, a low-key vibe, but a great place to enjoy breakfast if you're in the neighborhood.

We stumbled upon this place by just walking the streets, my wife and I loved it! The plates are small but delicious, the prices are fare. My wife had the "2-baked eggs in tomato sauce with poblano pepper strips", and I had the "two slices of toasted brioche with smoked salmon" (even though it was delicious, I wish the toast had a different type of bread so it didn't fall apart, but hey, that's just me). The pastries at the pastry counter are delicious too. Overall, a good place to grab a bite in the morning.

Charming, well executed bakery. The breakfast was phenomenal and the desserts to die for. We had breakfast and then took dessert to go. The pecan pie was unbelievable and the chocolate “voodoo of a cake” was divine.

Beautiful cafe with delicious pastries and food! We went there twice daily for morning coffee and lunch during our stay. The owner Paco was very friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful, full of lush plants and artworks on the wall. We were thrilled that we found this place! While we were there we met an Italian couple who also visited it daily and said they enjoyed their meals very much. Such a hidden jam! A must for every visitor in San Miguel. It’s just steps away from the center of town.

***CASH ONLY*** Such a charming bakery in a fabulous setting. Enter and go up the stairs. Turn left and order at the counter or sit at a table for a small breakfast menu and pastries. I ordered the fruit (apples, raisins and maybe dates?) wrapped in philo with powdered sugar on top. Very tasty and what a cute setting. I worked here for an hour at the table with a view. Friendly service. I'd definitely return for another treat. What a great setting to meet up with friends or for a romantic date. 4.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have bought pastries here dozens of times, but today decided to have breakfast. I had the baked eggs in tomato sauce with poblano peppers and cheese. Delicious. And it came with perfectly crispy toasted and buttery baguette slices. Delicious! EDIT: On another visit, I had the bacon and black olives quiche with the most delicious salad I’ve had in a while. Wonderful high-quality greens. Oh, and the quiche was delicious, too!

Petit Four rates a rock solid five stars in all but service, which was rather impersonal and hurried, thus qualifying for only four, rather than five stars. The flavor and presentation of everything we had was sterling, as is the ambience of this delightful establishment. The fresh grapefruit juice was fantastic, too.

I enjoyed the ambiance and it was a relaxed meal. The portions were small and the food was good but nothing special. Starter bread was a little on the burnt side. Food was presented well and the chai latte wasn't my favorite.

Nice restaurant in a courtyard with umbrellas for shade. The atmosphere is very nice especially with nice weather. Unfortunately my Eggs Benedict were not as good as they could of been. Coffee was decent. Clean bathrooms.

Great breakfast breakfast restaurant, so cozy and their patio it’s so cute. Just be aware it’s cash only a price a little bid over their topically Mexican breakfast rest. Hubby got Mexican eggs and I got French toast both good tasty.

Have not tried the food here, but their freshly squeezed green juice is health itself! The old style colonial interior patio is well shaded with giant umbrellas so it’s pleasant even under the harsh midday sun. Nice place for a juice break . Friendly, attentive service.

Beautiful cafe nestled in the shade perfect for escaping the heat. Service was excellent, I have very limited Spanish but all the servers were kind and welcoming. The owner’s little dog greets you as you sit down and he is the cutest dog ever! The breakfast was delicious and served quickly.

We came here because they still serve breakfast in the early afternoon. Wonderful courtyard off a main street right in the center of town. Full coffee menu with a choice of coffee beans and even individual french press preparation!The people were warm and attentive and made sure everything was to our liking. We ordered the avocado toast with egg and a goat cheese and spinach omelette, both were very good and just what we wanted. The two people who served us spoke good English, which was appreciated. A special thanks to Camila for her warmth and conversation while she made sure we were satisfied. Highly recommended!

Peaceful courtyard cafe hidden away near the middle of of town. The building that also includes guest rooms out back is owned and managed by a welcoming family that made for a comforting stop. Came across this spot almost by chance. This place prides itself on its appearance and your experience. Enjoyed a tasty coffee and breakfast while being surrounded by thoughtful design and artwork.

This little cafe had a wonderful menu for breakfast. The portions and price were perfect in a gorgeous little courtyard. Their bread was perfect for the BELT and the Avacado Toast we ordered. We will return to try more of the wonderful items on the menu!!!

Cool little cafe, near to Oratorio and not a long walk from the square. Had a nice torta arracherra, and my wife’s pancakes were good. I had a Mexican hot chocolate, which was quite tasty. Seems like a good place to grab a coffee and get on WiFi. Not busy at all when we went, and the service was good.

One of my most wonderful coffee experiences. Coffee connoisseurs in San Miguel, do yourself a favor and order the cold coffees here. We got the almond milk and whole milk lattes. The baristas know what they’re doing! I wish to go back again

I have been coming to Ki-Bok the past 7 or 8 summers. Being a coffee shop hound, I have tried the other coffee shops here and can confirm that Ki-Bok is, hands down, the best coffee shop in town. The staff is so very nice and gracious, they provide personal service (which you won’t find anywhere in the states), their mochas are really good. The atmosphere is lovely – three floors, a charming old building, and you can sit under shades in the open air up top if you like. They have some eatables also, tasty. Last & not least, a great location just a couple of blocks from the jardín. I’m sure you’ll like it.

I visited KI’BOK in July 2025, and it was my favorite cafe I went to in SMA! It is so cozy and the drinks and food I had were delicious and reasonably priced. Notably dairy-free and gluten-free friendly. Staff were very friendly (especially Ana!) and I didn’t feel rushed to leave. I had my meal in peace and read a book for a bit, and I wished I could’ve stayed longer. It was a great experience overall!

Super cute coffee shop. Came here after our morning walk and it was incredibly charming and staff super friendly. Great options of coffee, had their version of coffee de olla! And was superb! Husband had their avocado toast and as you can see it was so good and so fresh! Definitely recommend you stop if your around the main plaza!

I get it, SMA centro economy is supported by USA baby boomers. A single shot latte is 60P, make it double +15p, switch the choice of milk +20p, then a 100P ish latte chico = NYC 🗽 Manhattan price. Viva 🙌🏼 SMA! ps: the space is tiny & the vibe is cute. But the rooftop is very hot under sunshine 🌞 no fans. Your conversation can be heard by the whole floor and even the grunt of your Grindr.

One of my fav coffee spots in San Miguel! Awesome coffee and hot drinks—they have a fantastic decaf cappuccino, and the chai is amazing. Nice assortment of pastries all made with masa madre. I loved the blueberry cream muffin 🥰 Nice energizing yet peaceful vibe. I ended up coming here multiple times despite all the cafes in the area ☺️

We needed an afternoon pick me up so we ventured into Ki’Bok. The shop is cozy and feels inviting. We ordered iced mochas. The coffee was smooth and not overpowered by the chocolate. The service was very good. If you in the central downtown area of SMA, Ki’Bok will fully satisfy your caffeine addiction.

The restaurant has a congenial atmosphere with its blend of indoor and outside seating. The walls are covered with greenery and the blue sky above. I had the burrata salad which looked small when it was served, later they brought me another piece saying they come up different sizes and wanted me to have more. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the staff were very accommodating.

A charming little cafe tucked away northeast of the market and main plazas. The venue was covered, rustic, full of natural light and plants. The service was prompt and friendly. The menu was very health conscious and veg forward, so beware of that if you’re expecting something more filling or protein heavy. Smoothies and other breakfast beverages were on offer as well. All in all great little spot if you want something quiet and overloaded on the more traditional, less nutrition oriented preparation style (although who could be).

Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service. I have two food allergies (gluten and dairy). Several allergy types are listed on the menu. I hada the chilaquiles with the dairy free option and a smoothie. I was even able to buy GF DF peanut butter cookies to take away.

This is a great little find about 1/2 block from Mercado Ignacio Ramirez. It has a beautiful spacious indoor patio chock full of greenery, the service is excellent, the food is delicious and made fresh to order, and there are lots of vegan and vegetarian and gluten-free options. I had the vegan bowl which I thought it was a little smaller than what I'm used to but, with the pan de elote on the side, and they were absolutely delicious! I didn't have any this time but their desserts looked fabulous as well. They even have a little library in the front. This is a definite must in town!

i ate here probably 8 times in 5 weeks, moving around the menu and loving everything i had. the menu is creative, the space is beautiful, and the people are very kind.

I'm hesitant to give too much away as this is is such a little gem. Great work cafe for those of us needing more here, but I've been the only one on my laptop. Do you want the best donuts in the Americas? If so, I recommend her orange sugar coated donuts. The best I have ever had, and I am a donut lover (when allowed by my wife). She loves these too! I am writing this against my own self-interest, because if everyone stampedes to get them, I will be out of luck.

I have tried almost all the bakeries in San Miguel and this is hands down my favourite! Their bread and pastries are fantastic and good value for money. The staff is so friendly and when they hand you bread still warm from the oven - wow. The donuts and multigrain bread with seeds are top of my list. I just wish they made cakes too!

Great place to buy a real pastry and cakes 😋 We stopped just for amazing chocolate éclair and lemon little basket, cinammon café and iced chocolate-coco drink for my son. Desserts are perfect, drinks were too sweet to my taste but this is often in Mexico… I highly recommend and would come back👍

Delicious, Greats Service Buuuuutt We came every day while staying at the hotel nex to, everyone was very friendly except a guy that seems to be the cashier or head waiter that was rude in very single interaction. All the staff is so nice except this man, no idea why they have them in service he should be in the back since he have no sense of service. Leaving behind this guy the rest is absolutely amazing, all the eggs, pastries, the bakery, juices. Highly recommended

Totally worth it! First of all as you enter the smell of freshly baked bread will win you over. The boulangerie is open and you can see how they work and bake the different breads. Not only hard crust bread, sour baguette and amazing croissants but also typical mexican bread! The Christmas panettone was perfect. They also have a deli with cookies, jams, marmalades, wines, olive oil and some other goodies. The restaurant part is really nice and comfy with a fresh edgy design. The eggs benny were sooo good and the coffee was of really good quality. The service was good, fast and accurate. There are 4 parking spaces which makes it easy to go by car. Not super cheap but totally worth it!

We were heading out of SMA and our driver suggested we stop at this hip little French cafe. Wow, what a find! Amazing pastries, mimosas, and good coffee. I had avocado toast that I cannot stop thinking about.

Best bakery in town. They also serve breakfast. Try the poached eggs on focaccia bread or the baked eggs with salsa verde. The side of brioche bread is a must. Coffee is good if you like dark roasts, a bit too dark for my taste. Also very convinient location since its easy to get to without going all the way into town.

Geek is always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. From the Christmas bazaar that gives local artisans a place to share their work, to the many non-profits that gather here for meetings, it is truly a place of connection and support. In the afternoons, the café fills with happy schoolchildren who come to do homework or play in Geek’s beautiful garden. It’s more than a café—it’s a community hub filled with kindness, creativity, and joy.

Geek and Coffee is one of the best spots I have found in San Miguel. We love it to relax, let our kids run around, and enjoy a coffee and lunch. The setting is beautiful and it feels like and it feels like a pillar of the community where everyone comes to gather.

The open green spaces in San Miguel are few & far between. I've been enjoying Geek & Coffee's delightful green space for more than 10 years now. It's my favourite place to go with my young son so he can play in the garden, read books, play table games, or play tag in the grass. I get to enjoy a delicious and affordable meal, a great cappuccino, a chat with a friend, some work online, or teaching a Spanish class! The other classes offered are also wonderful: choir, nursing moms, democrats abroad, cello recital, book readings, etc. Geek is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday with friends and family, or even a wedding celebration. Multiple groups meet at Geek for meetings and playdates with kids. It's also lovely for dogs and there is even a dog training class there! Working online is nice at Geek, painting, enjoying brekkie or lunch with a friend, or a drink in the evening with salsa dancing! I highly recommend Geek & Coffee!

We love geek and coffee. The owners are super kind and welcoming, all of the staff is very professional, and the environment is unmatchable. We love taking our kids there and it’s such a great place to meet people.

Worth the visit for the outdoor space. We stumbled onto the place while looking for a tattoo parlor. The coffee shop is nestled gently in the midst of boutiques. The courtyard has space for dogs, space for kids, and space for adults. Very peaceful. My vanilla latte with oat milk was fine and so was my wife's espresso. There's better coffee in the city, but this place scores high on the relaxed vibe scale.

I have to write a review of Geek and Coffee, a cute cafe with outdoor play area in the Aurora area which was a wonderful place where I used to take my 3 children. There are very few places in this city where children can feel safe and comfortable while parents can relax. However, today, after my toddler took a few flowers from the garden, the owner told me while I was giving my order that that my family and I could not stay, made my order take-out, and ordered that I take my children and leave. I apologized about the two flowers and kept quiet since I did not want to upset my children. What was completely shocking was that after she told me to leave, the owner went out to where my father and a friend were waiting at a table to inform them also to leave with me, and that the family was not welcome. When my father -- who was visiting from Texas -- offered to pay and to "settle this another way" she screamed at him and brought out her father who also yelled at my father to leave, insulting him as an American (my mom was Mexican and my father is American). She also berated me that I should be ashamed of the way I was raising my children who are normal 7, 5 years and a toddler of 18 months. I am a single mom who works as a professional real estate agent and was extremely upset and embarrassed. My daughter and I were crying and upset for another hour as we sat in the nearby Aurora cafe where they were much kinder to me and my family. This behavior is terribly insulting. My father felt it was racist and judgmental. This was a terrible experience and I ask that everyone be aware. I wish I could report this incident to a higher authority.

I ordered two arrachera sandwiches today, and I have to say, I’m very disappointed. Each sandwich was $180 pesos, and they had barely any meat—just a thin layer that was hardly satisfying. On top of that, the veggies were almost nonexistent. For that price, I expected a lot more substance and quality. Also, what’s going on with the menu? It’s way too wordy! Why make it so complicated when the actual food doesn’t live up to the descriptions? Simplicity and quality go hand in hand, and unfortunately, this place missed the mark on both. The workers are very nice, but sadly, that doesn’t make up for the lackluster food.

I'm surprised. Everything I ate was delicious. The vegetable quiche was very good. The chocolate ganache was so good...especially with coffee. The coffee itself was fine. The service was very friendly and heloful.

I’ve been here many times and always have positive experiences. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the pastries 🥐 are delicious and even their meal options have been pretty tasty, although the menu is fairly basic. It’s better as a café experience in my opinion, versus a dining experience. I’m giving them five stars for their service, pastries and coffee.

Very good masa madre sourdough. Been there a bunch as new SMA residents. As someone with celiac (gluten issue) I’ve found I can eat long fermented masa madre 24+ hours. Delicious. No issues. This bakery has the best sourdough in San Miguel de Allende. They have lots of delicious looking treats, but we just wanted to try the sourdough. We were not disappointed.

The sunflower bread is yummy for breakfast toast. The iced cinnamon rolls are way too sweet and they should offer an un-iced version.

Since this bakery started in San Miguel de Allende, it has been a pleasure to consume its bread products, excellent quality and flavor.

They are off the main road and there is parking. They open at 8am. Come early for the good stuff. I arrived just a bit after 8:30am and they still had a good quantity of items but I'm sure if you came later in the day most of the goodies would be gone. Got a regular Croissant and one that was filled with cheese and jalapeno! Dogs are not allowed inside.

The place is really nice but somewhat small. The service is good. The food is okay but a bit expensive for the size. I’m not sure i loved the avocado toast with hard boiled eggs. And the portion is small for the price.

One of favorite cafes in SMA! Beautifully decorated with exposed brick walls and overhanging tree. The coffees and food are delicious and the presentation is perfect. But honestly it’s the staff - specifically Ali. She remembered our order as soon as we sat down. This is a busy cafe close to the plaza, I know she has a lot of customers. Beautiful cafe with horrible chilaquiles . The croissant sandwiches are delicious. The Guanajuato chilaquiles style is totopos with a sour tomato sauce that is watery and has no flavor. Jalisco chilaquiles are better. The cinnamon rolls are small and pretty much pure sugar. Cafe de olla is delicious.

I had the most unforgettable breakfast at 1910 in San Miguel de Allende! The Machaca breakfast was absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked with a tomato sauce that was bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spices to make every bite divine. The freshly made lemonade was a perfect touch, refreshing and cleansing my palate for the next delicious morsel. The live music created such a calming, inviting atmosphere that I didn’t want to leave. Five stars for an exceptional experience that I’ll be raving about for years!

I had not visited since they changed locations. I love the size and the beauty of the new location. A very charming and inviting atmosphere compared to their previous spot. Service was excellent. Our server got our drinks immediately and checked on us a couple of times after our food arrived. The food was very good and at a very reasonable price. I had a breakfast burrito which was huge and very delicious. My wife had a vegetarian omelette which she liked, but next time she would request no zucchini and no spinach. Also the cheese in her omelette tasted good, but it needed to be melted better. The other member of our party loved her French toast. I tried it and it was delicious. We will definitely be back.

We wanted to check out this highly rated breakfast spot that was recommended to us. What a gem located in the San Antonio neighborhood of San Miguel de Allende. We went mid morning on a Saturday and had about a 15 minute wait. We got talking to the guys in line ahead of us, so we decided to all sit together at a four-top. We were seated in the art gallery room where there were some people working on their paintings on the other side. We had a smoothie and a green juice and the guys got coffee. They brought us toast and freshly made jam while we waited for our brunch entrees. We ordered the chicken Chilaquiles and the chicken burrito. Our new friends got an omelette and the chicken enchiladas. Everyone loved their meals and it was a wonderful dining experience with a great server. I'd highly recommend and will return to sample more of the menu and eat in the sunlit courtyard next time. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Café 1910’s new location is great- a lovely plant-filled patio with either sun or shade for everyone. Same great food and prices as always. Also a good place to buy used books in English.

What a great coffee shop. It took us a little while to find it because it is just a little doorway with a menu in the doorway but so worth it. The coffee us really good, the staff are friendly and there is such an interesting collection of coffee making equipment displayed all around. I highly recommend stopping in here for coffee and a relaxing but of downtime

I had high hopes based on the reviews. Espresso tasting slightly over roasted and the flavor was not all that good. A strange bitter after taste. Much better choices in SMA. Not terrible at all but I will not need to return.

If you live or are staying in the area, this is the place to get your coffee fix in the morning. They open at 8:00 am, which is late for U.S. standards, but kind of early for Mexican standards. The coffee is from two regions in Mexico and their prices are extremely reasonable (about $2 for about a 12 ounce cup of cappuccino or latte).

I recently discovered the most amazing cold treat in San Miguel de Allende! The soft serve ice cream and yogurt are absolutely delicious, and with so many different toppings to choose from, it's hard to decide which one to try first. My personal favorites right now are the Nutella and coconut, but I also highly recommend the Taro flavor, which is simply divine. Not only is the taste incredible, but the interior of the shop is also incredibly refreshing and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a sweet treat on a hot day. And to top it all off, the owner, René, is one of the warmest and most welcoming people I've ever met. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful experience for your customers!

We went into Mooss today and enjoyed the ice cream very much. The Vanilla for me with great toppings and the chocolate for my husband, were wonderful! It was a nice atmosphere and we will definitely go back soon.

We had the best frozen yogurt today! Bonus it was sugar free. The Taro favour was my absolute favourite. The owner Renee was kind and wonderful to deal with. Let us taste samples of all the flavours. The decor is modern and fresh. I highly recommend stopping by for a sweet treat or coffee. It was an all around lovely experience!

Fantastic new spot on the edge of Institute Allende. The place has three very different seating areas - two indoors and one outdoors- each one with a very different sensibility. Its versatility is practically unmatched insofar as it’s a great place for a quick coffee and pastry, or for a full breakfast, or even a heavy dinner (the burgers are simply outstanding).

Every other Saturday our group goes there for brunch. A fun laid-back place. Open courtyard with fabulous paintings on the walls. Good for internet, chess, cards, breakfast, international people who are friendly, will strike up a conversation with you. An expat Hangout.

Staff are friendly, atmosphere is great and could easily spend the morning working here. I ordered the Chilaquilies and a long black. I had high hopes for the coffee but it was weak, not much flavour which surprises me as the beans they use are from a great local roaster. I'm vegan and ordered the Chilaquilies as it's an easy option and I'm a fan but unfortunately when they arrived they had bacon crackling on top, I sent them back and the chef started to pick the crackling off. Fortunately I could see into the kitchen and asked for a fresh Chilaquilies, which the manager organised. The Chilaquilies isn't the best in town. I hope they improve their Vegan offering as there's lots of locals and tourists looking for good option in SMA.

I’m so grateful this cafe exists! There are plenty of delicious food options to choose from, and there are often community events happening like dancing or music! I love the various seating areas—the bar stools inside, the comfy sofa and arm chair, and the tables outside. The art and plants really add to the aesthetic, making it a beautiful setting. When making a trip to San Miguel de Allende, you must visit Murmullo!

I had a great cappuccino here yesterday, but my steak tacos did not appeal to me so I did not eat them. The staff was wonderful about it after seeing that I did not eat my meal. They offered something in exchange when I said that’s OK they immediately took the charge off the bill. I’m very impressed with how conscientious they were.

Cafe Tal is a great, little neighborhood gem. this place is owned by a young couple, who put their Heart into everything they serve. I particularly enjoy the Sandwich de la Mañana, Chicken Quesadilla with Guacamole, fresh Chicken Salad and the Frappe Cappuccino is an incredible delight on a warm San Miguel day.. I enjoy sitting inside this little cafe, but their is also a cool courtyard in back!

I was suprised to find a Belgian waffleplace in San Miguel de Allende. So happy that I found this place on my trip here. I was welcomed here with a big smile by fellow Belgians. Real Belgian Waffles in Mexico, amazing!! A must stop for every Belgian (and waffle lover) when you're in the area!

Paul and Marie-Pascale are there to welcome you and make you feel at home. We ended up trying everything on the menu- the food is delicious. I had a savory waffle with filet-American from the presentation to the taste it was wonderful. I would recommend finding this place for a coffee or lunch. We sat at the bar but there are tables for larger groups….and if you are taller than Paul you get a sweet waffle on the house.

These authentic Belgian waffles are a must taste!! All ingredients that Paul and his mom Marie use to make these waffles come from Belgium. The pearl sugar, which has been manufactured by their family for generations, give these dessert waffles a sweetness and crunch that regular breakfast waffles lack. I had a warm waffle with chocolate bars—two thin bars are inserted in the middle of the waffle—it was delicious!! Whether you order savory or sweet waffles, you will be glad you stopped by. Aside from waffles, you can purchase mousse du chocolat, cookies, waffle mix, chocolate cream, etc. They also prepare waffles for special occasions. Saw this place when going to a play nearby and noticed they had a sign if you were taller than the owner, Paul, you’d get a free waffle. Lucky for me they stayed true to their word and gave us a delicious Belgian waffle! It was sweetened with beet sugar as I learned is the European way. Believe it or not Paul was the 7 generations of beet farmer so im sure it’s true to the tradition. Highly recommend their iced coffee as well!

Panio felt more towards the touristy vibe as opposed to an authentic bakery vibe. The irony is that it probably has a rich history of baking breads and pastries. The chocolate eclair we ordered hit the spot. The filling was light and not too sweet. The pastry part had the right texture. Whether you want to pick up something to take home from your trip or eat it during your stay in San Miguel, Panio has got you covered.

Drinking the last sips of my coffee…. I chocked on this thing, which seem to be the part of cardboard from the milk box ? Which was at the bottom of my cup…. On the top of that : Very very slow service…. Even though they are 5 behind the counter…. They are very nice, just go there thinking its at least a 15-20 minutes project to get a coffee…. Even if its not very busy….. The coffee is bad. It has a burnt taste. It was served more as a boiling latte…. I asked for a cappucino.

I cannot recommend Cumpanio and their new cricket bread enough! The flavor and texture are perfection. It’s my new favorite bread, and as an added bonus- it’s rich in protein. Lucy was outstanding! Already looking forward to my next meal there.

The best! Had an excellent Earl Grey tea, and they roast their own organic coffee here. The people were incredibly nice and friendly - loved meeting David. And homemade almond milk - say what??? Definitely coming back.

My favourite cafe in San Miguel. David has the best coffee and is always very welcoming and quick to introduce people, creating a lovely atmosphere. There is always very interesting art on the walls and a lot of the time on the weekends there is live music. 100% recommend!

Absolutely best empanadas we have had in SMA. The crust is superb. There are varied fillings. My favorite is the beef with just enough spices! The corn and queso was a savory delight.

If you like getting ripped off because you are not Mexican or a native Spanish speaker, then this is the place for you. We had been going here since it opened, but yesterday the guy charged my husband $96p for 2 empanadas. We won't be going back to a business that takes advantage of people, regardless of how good the food is.

I grew up in Argentina and all I can say is that these empanadas are the real deal. Flavor, texture and all the right condiments are there . Great service and reasonable prices...what more can you ask for? Don't cry for me, Argentina!!!!!

Great spot with a coffee shop on the ground floor and in the evenings a hopping bar and DJ spinning on the rooftop terraza. Fun spot on the weekends which, unlike other evening spots sometimes starts earlier in the night.

We had mocktails, appetizers, a salad and tacos. This seems to be primarily a steakhouse where folks go for occasions, but everything we had — shrimp, ribeye, carnitas, Brussels sprouts — were fantastic and reasonably priced. Everything comes with an elaborate presentation and fantastic sauces. We were repeatedly warned about the spice level, but everything was very reasonably spicy. Desserts were enormous and looked amazing, but we were too full to try.

Visited on a Sunday evening. Party of 6 was easily able to make reservations and get in with a great view. The music is fun this place has a great atmosphere. Everything was going amazing. If you drink beer, ask for it with a little foam. The pour is awesome to watch. When we got our appetizers, one plate was missing. We didn't say anything. However, when the main dishes came, the waiter said the other person in our party food was coming. The waiter brought the appetizer instead of the main dish. Unless you have a thing for rose-shaped dessert, save yourself money and walk down to the ice cream cart at the corner of Insurgentes.

This is my new favorite dessert place! Was visiting and we passed it and saw many people coming out with these rose cones and I wanted one.. I absolutely loved my gelato cone.! Staff was patient and friendly, let us sample the flavors, and the gelato was delicious definitely coming back the next time we visit.

My mother had the waffles which was delicious with what she said was the best vanilla ice cream she’s ever had in her life (I have to agree with that and we live in Texas with Blue Bell) and she can be picky 😂 The fruit compote was so good and you could taste the freshness. The syrup had a unique flavor that complemented the waffles perfectly. Our cappuccinos were amazing.
