Atmosphere was decent until I got charged $45 for three minuscule shots of the cheapest Tequila in the world. Literally the biggest ripoff I have seen in Egypt so far. That comes on top of the $8 for cover. That much money buys you a suite à the Ritz in Egypt. Avoid. Not to mentionned the gangs doing organized racketeering for parking outside.

This place is dope — the music is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is full of energy. They do have quite a few rules to enter, which can feel a bit much at first, but once you’re inside, it’s totally worth it. Definitely a spot you should come check out and enjoy if you’re in the area!

Cairo Jazz Club has an electric atmosphere and great music — it’s definitely one of the liveliest spots in Cairo for a night out. The DJs and live bands bring serious energy, and the crowd is usually fun and diverse. Drinks are decent, and the space feels intimate without being too cramped. However, one major downside to my experience was dealing with a bouncer who was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. It really put a damper on the night — it’s one thing to enforce the rules, but the attitude felt uncalled for and completely out of sync with the otherwise welcoming vibe inside. I’d still recommend going, especially for the music, but be prepared for a mixed experience at the door.

Best of this restaurant is only the atmosphere. Very relaxing. Classic old songs. About the food, the beef cubes are just good but it should be served with side dish not plain as it is. Caesar salad is something else not caesar and the chicken was burnt. The spring rolls are tasty. Service could be better. For me, it's average or less. Not recommended.

The staff was very rude and unprofessional. The place was half empty, yet they told us it was fully occupied. To make it worse, when another group asked if there were any available tables, a different staff member told them yes.

My wife ordered an Old Fashioned — it was on the menu — but the bartender later claimed they “don’t make” them. Not sure why they didn’t want to serve her an Old Fashioned 🤔I had a Heineken, she settled for the same, and we still tipped generously despite the poor treatment. Total was 332 EGP + 100 EGP tip (about 33%). If you’re an American tourist (or anyone who expects even basic courtesy and competence), avoid this place. Cairo has far better restaurants — spend your money elsewhere.

Need to rethink management attitude Mr Micheal and owner. Sadly an old favorite place down the trash, haven't been there in 20 years . We were a group of 11 expats , we didn't get even a smile . .. too much fuss about seats, booking set up ...etc ..and we were not a walk in .We were booked 2 weeks ago... We were following the final women football game between England and Spain and it went to penalties and guess what? in the last penalty, the cable goes out!!! we look at the management and they say sorry it's out of our hands!!! Then with the final check, they put in 3 items claiming that my other guests who left earlier, did not pay for them. We paid and we even tipped them. If there was a rating of -1 ... I would give them that. I can't really understand why they would ruin their reputation. We came on a Sunday 7:00 p.m. 40 degrees and already had a booking and half the pub was empty to get shitty service . At booking we were told that there is no minimum charge but we need to order food and drinks which we did - some had a full dinner, others just had a salad and drink etc. And one had his own bottle and paid 800 for it...and then they complain no , you have to pay 1,200 minimum which we refused and therefore we got this horrible treatment. It's disgusting!

This is an awesome little gem tucked away in Cairo. The food here is awesome, has the best creme caramel I've had in a looooooong time. We had drinks here and multiple food items.

Amazing food, and amazing service. They don't overcharge you because you are a foreigner. They only have kosheri, but this is the go-to place for it. It was crowded, we had to walk up several floors. This was the first dish we had in Egypt. We had no stomach bug after it. It tastes AMAZING.

Koshary Abou Tarek is a must-visit when you’re in Cairo! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the service is truly outstanding. I've been here to try the traditional Egyptian dish "koshary." It was pretty good, and you can adjust the sauces according to your preferences . This restaurant has its own festive song that kept being played all along. We sat outside, and it was lovely seeing the people walking while enjoying the meal.

Might be a very touristy place, but the koshary was good and the vibes are great, people were literally dancing in the streets. I got the smallest size but it was a big enough portion.

This is a nice place to have a drink and hangout on a Thursday/Sunday night (other nights are pretty quiet). Its set up more for an older crowd (30 and up). Cheap drinks and a nice crowd after midnight. Stays open till about 4am, so take a nap. It's more for the less strict Arabic community and plenty of expats. If your in town for a week or so, buy a bottle and come on both days to drink it. Might be your best option. Get there early if you want a seat.

Great hidden gem in the middle of Cairo, I recommend everyone to try it out, the dress code is very simple just be presentable and avoid wearing shorts. Overall, great service and quality ⭐️

Very good place with decent food and friendly staff in restaurant. Unfortunately, this time only 1star, bouncers didn't let us in. First, they asked my wife to open her 'shoulder purse' with her things, then they asked to leave it with them during visit!!! Yesterday we were there and had no problems, with the same bag, same people, all of a sudden, today it became a problem!!! Why? They said it's a policy...very strange overnight policy.... Since when women not allowed to have shoulder purse??? I could understand if I bring checkin bags with me etc!! ...later some supervisor came and kind of sorted all out, but mood was already below zero. Last evening in Cairo was spoiled, we just left. We were not drunk or aggressive and behaved with respect, as we love Egypt. Out of our 5 days Cairo visit that was the first time. Probably bouncer have some personal issues or wanted to show off. I'm not sure. Very disappointing. I'm sure bar will have some default answers, no need for that what is done cannot be undone. PS To be honest, I cannot figure out what is the real purpose of these guys apart of sitting on their bums and annoying visitors? One security is already on entry to hotel and then another two on stairs. What a waste of manhours...

The food is fresh, the falafel salad was so delicious and tasty. We had a very good time, we had to wait a little to be seated but it wasn’t too long. It was a nice vibe inside with lots of tourists just like us. Although we wish the portion were bigger, we definitely recommend !

The best place in Kairo Zamalek for breakfast - service & people are amazing. The service is excellent, the waiters welcome you with open arms and you feel completely at ease here. Great local eatery with traditional dishes. Fast service and friendly staff. We went back few time during our week traveling in Cairo.

Zooba tastes good, but the service was slow and unorganized. There was a waiting queue and the people at the tables were also waiting. They got our order wrong twice. We didn't ask to correct it the second time. They don't provide tissues or wet wipes or eating utensils. Overall, it's good taste, cleanliness in the kitchen, which is important for the customers, not necessarily in the eating area. Would visit again, but it's overrated.

We had a lovely dining experience at Zitouni. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful views that added to the overall charm. Service was attentive throughout our meal. For Egyptian food lovers ..this is an amazing breakfast place as well. Great traditional Egyptian food like “foul, taameya, feteer meshaltet, baladi bread” All served in a beautiful atmosphere with a unique Nile view. Service is warm and friendly and very attentive.

The vegetables in tomato sauce بسلة وجزر بالدمعة and red meat cooked in ways I never dared to try. All tasty made with love and the chefs are happy to serve you, they explain the dishes and encourage you to try the food. The Nile view completed the experience. You can take smoke breaks at the bar next door same floor, where there is live piano music.

We had the ala carte instead of the buffet which we found to be more appealing. The chicken shawarma and lamb was cooked perfectly and the complimentary dessert Om Ali was delicious.

Nice restaurant with very good location to see the Nile River

I read a lot about this place and seen videos. I was very curious to try it. I ordered three dishes, I liked the stuffed vegetables the most, although some pieces were a bit dry. I ordered beef in cumin sauce, which was good, but nothing too crazy. The molokhia is served without rice, as a soup. I didn't like it that much.

My favorite restaurant in Cairo. Loved it so much I came here twice and cried that I didn’t discover it earlier to have every single dinner here. While the dishes may not be photogenic, I guarantee you they are very tender, juicy, flavorful, and generous. I especially appreciated the knuckle soup, the different liver dishes, and the bean soup (the best bean soup I’ve ever had, bold claim I know). They change the menu daily so you can always come back for more. Run don’t walk to Fasahet Somaya!

I visited this restaurant evening. I ordered the beef piccata, green salad, glass noodle rice, and rice pudding. All were excellent. It was delicious. The rice pudding and beef piccata were some of the most delicious meals I have ever had in my life. I will visit you again when I come to Cairo.

The place is small in the most charming and cozy way, with colorful walls and a warm homely atmosphere. The staff and Chef Somaya are wonderful, welcoming, and make you feel at home. We had the Chicken stew with mixture and the Kebab Hilla (slow-cooked beef stew)—both were excellent, flavorful, and felt authentically homemade. The Molokhia and Vermicelli rice were simple but comforting. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience—it felt like dining with family.

Home cooked market fresh meals! You won’t be disappointed. Skip places like Felfela (for the tourists) and spend your money here instead. Go early at 17h because when the food is gone, the restaurant closes. Absolutely worth it. We got everything that was on the menu and it was delicious.

WATCH OUT FOR HIDDEN FEES! We were told that there would be belly dancers, English/Arabic music but there was no one in there at all. We asked them multiple times if they can play upbeat music but the DJ was horrible and played slow music. After requesting the check, they added multiple fees including entertainment fees— mind you there was absolutely no entertainment at all. To top it all off, the slow music was so loud we had to test each other the entire time so we don’t fall asleep.

The ideal place if your goal is to spoil a night in Cairo. The bar was empty the drinks overpriced and the manager was obnoxious and rude. The bars in the other hotels we tried (Hilton, Crimson) are just in an other league considering the view, prices, and atmosphere.

Delicious Egyptian cuisine and atmosphere that transports you back 100 years! I’d eaten here 3-4 times ten years ago, and just returned for dinner last week. It holds up & it great to see both local business people dining alongside tourists :) I love the meseka’a (eggplant in tomato sauce) dish!

The food is good l, but the staff are the worst and judgmental. If they think you are a good class customer, they will treat you very well, otherwise, they will treat you like trash and you have to call them multiple times to come to you! We decided to have a sandwich after finishing our training in FibersClub, and the experience was the worst.

I ve been visiting them for more than 10 years and yesterday will probably be my last visit. I had food poisoning. The food became hilariously expensive. The salad was bad. The bread was not fresh. I’m a frequent flyer here with my partner. We come here often for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is decent. The breakfast is better. The main dishes are a hit or miss it depends on what the chef prepares. The pizzas are a safe choice. The desserts are out of this world always. The service is outstanding and the staff is always available and responsive unlike many other restaurants in Cairo.

As a party of three, we ended up spending a total of 3500£ for 3 juice, a hookah, one starter, and two main courses. I’ve ordered smoked salmon avocado salad, my avocado were black, low quality smoked salmon, and when I complained about it, the waiter just said ‘we are sorry about that’. It’s sad to experience this, as it killed the pleasure.

We loved the down to earth reality of this local pub. Here everyone is treated equally, and kindly. You can drink beer only in the smoking area but doors are open so it is generally well aired. When you finish, the waiter comes around with beers at hand and shows you the bottle and opens it only if you hold your hand towards it or nod. You can get food from the next door restaurant (we got aubergine, fries and falafel and they were all tasty) or chips from the buffet, or bring along a snack and it will be fine. Enjoy your time in downtown Cairo with cheap beer in this local gem.

One thing I personally love: you often end up sharing a table with strangers (because of the crowd), which leads to random convos and meeting new people. Feels very social, in a chill way. They open after 4 PM, and close on major Islamic holidays like Mawlid and Eid Eve. My friend who grew up in Cairo took me here as it’s one of the oldest pubs in the city and presents a cross-section of everyday life in the city. Beer, coffee, cigarettes and tea - it’s a great exposure to another side of Cairo and I loved the people watching

Serag and his team were amazing in hosting us. The vibes are so friendly and cosy, its almost surreal, I am Alexandrian and my friends were visiting Egypt for the first time and we were all overwhelmed by how nice everyone was. An easy recommendation for anyone looking for a hospitable Egyptian experience that is not trying to be something else. Also … AMAZING view.

The atmosphere is cool, and menu is diverse but unipressive in taste and presentation. Staff is not friendly and all plates tasted generic and made with low quality ingredients. We went there with a group of travelling friends and the staff made it really difficult for us to pay, didn’t accept multiple credit cards.

Great drinks and shisha sit by the river at night and enjoy great view nice to just people watch specially when the weather gets good enjoy a soccer match on the big screen get in the mood and enjoy the night away. The Drinks are a bit over priced more for tourists always do your currency conversion and if paying with a credit card in a foreign country pay in their currency never in dollars

Good place for nice entertainment. Their finger food tastes really good and the service was quick. They starts the shows around 11:30pm usually a belly dancer and a singer after her show. In general the place is okay, not the best place but you will enjoy your time there and you won't regret it.

I love this place, but it hasn't changed the week events since very long ago!!!!! I hope the management considers renewing the events' programs and bringing new artists other than the only two singers present for the whole week for years.

Fun experience for a tourist. On a Sunday night the place wasn’t too full. There was plenty of entertainment after midnight, a saxophone player, belly dancer, and a famous singer. I would recommend this place as a nice experience. The environment is clean and friendly. They didn’t need a reservation, as opposed to what others have said. The drinks are quite expensive. After a few hours, we racked up an $1000+ bill (2 people).

The place is no longer called Amici. It’s called MEZCAL. No reservations needed. Awesome!!

I just had an amazing experience at this roof top bar. The view is the best in Cairo. I need to mention Zeyad Hany for his excellent service and the manager, Omar, for taking great care of us. We had the best experience trying Egyptian wines and watching the best sunset.

For me the this place was the highlight of my trip. I came twice during my first trip on August 25 because I really enjoyed it and I hope to come back asap!!! Thank you all for an amazing time.

Located on the 30th floor of the Ramses Hilton hotel this lounge bar has one of the best view in Cairo. Intimate and elegant this location is perfect at sunset time. Food has been delicious as well as the service. Music and lights were ok. Top choice!

Located on the rooftop Of Rameses Hilton. I have come here on two separate nights. Ordered different food and had different waiters. The food is delicious (the chef is a tastebuds genius), the service is exceptional (prompt, polite and professional - Achmerd, Zayad and manager), and the city views of Cairo and the Nile are to die for (especially at night). A must for travellers coming to Cairo.

The place opens at 4pm and we arrived here for 4pm before our flight with our luggage. No one was here so we had the place to ourself. Drinks amazing, service great and the views were stunning! Highly recommend coming here during the day time or if you get the chance to watch the sunset from here. There is WiFi available via the hotel.

The atmosphere was great! We went there in the night after dinner for some local beverage. Unfortunately couldn’t try the famous coffee instead local tea we had as it was late in the night. There was live music and service was good. Staff were very friendly. Definitely you should visit this place if you are in Khan El Khalili

I recently visited Fishawy Cafe in Khan El Khalili, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Right when I arrived, I noticed that some people sat down at my table and started singing. At first, I thought they were part of the cafe staff, but it turned out they were just customers like me. When I asked for the menu, they told me there was no printed menu available. This made it hard for me to know what food or drinks I could order. At the end of my visit, I was surprised to find out that I had to pay a large amount of money because one of the singers decided how much I should pay. To make things worse, these singers then asked for money for their performance. They didn’t mention this when they first started singing, which felt quite unfair. Additionally, the noise from street vendors outside made it really hard to enjoy my drink. They were so loud that I couldn’t relax or focus on my time at the cafe. I do not recommend visiting Fishawy Cafe. You might end up feeling scammed, and it’s unlikely you will have a good time there.

What a vibe. Food is amazing too. Must visit when in this neighbourhood for a quick bite and a break from the shopping spree. We tried their Falafel and beans sandwich and they were amazing.

Tripped over this cool cafe in the bazaar. Stopped for a coffee (Turkish coffee) only LE 65 and to refresh with water. A few customers were smoking shisha, so I had a grape one for LE 175. Comfy chairs lined along the alley facing the mob, so you get lots of hawkers, but it’s part of the fun. Didn’t eat here. Waiters have a bitnof a Parisian stiffness- they don‘t take mucking about. Very atmospheric and recommended

They insist you come in and sit down. We ordered three Cokes. When we went to pay, they didn't accept card payments and we were charged 550. There are also people who want to sing to you at your table, even if you say no, they don't stop and ask for money the whole time. Definitely a terrible experience. I don't recommend it.

Amazing view. The food was OKAY. Good appetizers and Om Ali dessert, but really dry Kofta & Shish Tawook. The rice was bland. I was invited by the US embassy for a lunch that I only enjoyed the view.

If I'll write about the food experience maybe it will be regular to most of you. Today I want to write about the team going extra mile with their customer service to me tonight. An accident happen that the drink cup was broken and I dropped the drink onto my pants. The team helped me with getting me a pant to wear and continue enjoying my evening with the beautiful Nile view, and they took the jeans I was wearing to laundry and got it done within 15 mns. Several team members have helped me with smile that made me feel so appreciated and comfortable in which I wanted to write about this experience to you all and recommend this place to you to visit.

My husband and I had an amazing evening here. The service crew was hospitable since the first moment we came in. The waiter, named Ziko, stood out for his outstanding service and a great sense of humor. We loved each moment sitting and waiting for our food which came pretty fast. As for the food, it was fingerlicking. We would highly recommend anybody like we were recommend by our friend, Tika.

Piccolo Mondo, nestled in the basement of Le Pasha boat, offers a cozy setting with pseudo "Italian specialties". The ambiance is charming and the service is decent, making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal. The food itself is middle-of-the-road — nothing extraordinary but passable. The biggest letdown was the bread buns, which tasted like they were defrosted in the microwave and lacked freshness. Overall, it's an acceptable choice if you're not seeking culinary perfection but just a relaxed meal by the Nile.

What a great place! We kicked off our Egypt holiday here and finished it here because Carlo Le Pacha 1901 does everything we wanted. Good beer? Check. Tasty cocktails? Check. Excellent food (both Egyptian and other choices)? Check. The real winner for us was the combination of all that with a solid shisha/hookah menu and live sports on TV. It's the complete package you struggle to find elsewhere. The vibe is upscale but comfortable. We'll be back on our next trip for sure!

Le Pacha was definitely a great experience in Cairo! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the food amazing and the environment very well organised. The portions were big and fulfilling, and the flavours incredible. Try out the Steak with roquefort sauce, it is a wonderful dish, accompanied with excellent fries! Also, do not forget to take a look around and visit the terrace, as the view of the Nile is beautiful. Keep in mind there is a big staircase to reach the restaurant with no ramps, so it's not for people with reduced mobility.

Disappointing experience. Le Pacha group is recognized for upscale dining, specialy, Carlos. However, piccolo mondo was a disappointment. In a basic Italian themed restaurant, you are served high quality EVOO and a fine balsamic vinegar, paired with good quality bread, while waiting for the meal. That was not provided until we asked for it. We received a bowl of stale olive oil, and low quality balsamic vinegar. Compared to other lower caliber Italian themed restaurants in heliopolis, piccolo mondo failed. Pizza ingredients were good, the expected quality, but the dough was more of chewy bread. In the end, that was not the anticipated quality while dining in le pacha

Better make a reservation. It was a very pleasant experience with loads of Italian vibes. As if you are sitting inside an old pizzeria in Italy. The menu is varied and the quality of the food is worth the price. We enjoyed a selection of Italian salads, Salami pizza, and Penne Le Pacha. We were quite full and we had no room for dessert after this delicious load of carbs. You get to enjoy a very nice and close view of the Nile since it is located in the bottom floor of the boat. Fit for a date and a casual dining experience.

A Truly Authentic Japanese Culinary Experience this might just be the best sushi I've ever had. Every piece was fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. If you're a lover of authentic Japanese cuisine or just looking for a peaceful, high-quality dining experience, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended

We had a nice dinner at Sapporro. The fried chicken was really tasty – crispy and flavourful – but it could’ve used a dipping sauce to take it to the next level. The sushi was okay, fresh enough, but not the best I’ve had. That said, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Egyptian Chardonnay, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a good experience with a few small areas for improvement.

The food was excellent, and the service superb, Abdelrahman took care uf us, he is great and speaks perfect English so he makes your life easy.

We had Teppanyaki at Sapporo. It offers a chill vibe with electronic music softly playing in the background. The food was very decent, the portion was good and not oversized. We had beef and chicken set menu for E£1000 per person. The shrimp tempura was very well made too. I would prefer the skin of the gyoza thinner but the filling tasted good. Our waiter Abdel-Rahman was attentive and wanted to make sure we had a great experience.

Very nice, serene restaurant with some of everything Japanese. Excellent service of our waiter AbdelRahman, who was prompt, courteous, and never left us waiting for anything - almost read our minds. We had two good sushi rolls (the crispy tempura roll was particularly good), gyoza and a big bowl of their specialty Ramen noodle soup, which he kindly split for us without even having to ask! All in all a great choice for dinner even though we initially had some doubts about eating Japanese food in Egypt!

This is an exceptional place, went for all you can eat which gave the chance to try everything Starting from salads, great variety and all of them were exceptionally good. the raw seafood in the salad was great all the fruits were tasty. The appetizers was great the mozarella cheese and cheese balls, didnt like the fried banana at all. The beef and chicken were great, well marinated and perfectly cooked.didnt like the parmesan beef and bacon chicken. A bit pricey though paid 3000+ per person. Worth trying. My husband and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary here. We got the all you can eat experience and it was so filling! My favorite was the parmesean cheese fillet mignon and the rib eye. I also enjoyed the salads and the banana sugar appetizer. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The service was outstanding. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the deserts are quite awful. We tried the chocolate fudge cake and lemon tart. Both were disappointing. But it was ok anyhow because we were so full from practically eating a whole cow lol.

A Masterclass in How to Ruin Churrasco… The setting was gorgeous, the service was polished, the sides were delicious, and the wine hit all the right notes. For a moment I thought we were about to have a proper Four Seasons experience. Then the meat arrived, and the dream ended. Apparently, churrasco now means “small random grill pieces tossed on skewers.” Who knew? The rotisserie, that small detail that defines the entire concept, was “not in use because it wasn’t busy enough.” That’s like saying the oven isn’t on because there aren’t enough pizzas. Every piece of meat that reached the table was well done, no matter how many times we asked for medium rare. I paid premium prices for what felt like the world’s most exclusive minute steaks. Beautiful spot, great team, but someone needs to remind the kitchen that churrasco is cooked on the rotisserie, not just spoken of fondly.

The steak & lamb chop was amazing. High quality of cooking and fresh meat. Should order medium rare of cooking. The virgin mojito without alcohol is amazing. The garlic bread is amazing too. Definitely will come again 😀

This was definitely a disappointment. The food was overcooked and under seasoned and really overpriced. The only thing that was remotely worth eating was the bread (which was served pretty late). And the waitering staff had attitude for some reason. The best thing is the view.

Absolutely the best steak I have ever had. Great location with a direct nile view, presentation and service. Everything is delicious even the appetizers, salad and the steak!. The only downside that their concept is only “All you can eat” with a price per person 1500 EGP after service and tax, so very expensive, especially for people that don’t eat much, it wouldn’t be as enjoyable!. Very recommended for special occasions or business meetings!

A very nice experience. The place is probably the smallest out of all Brazilian steakhouses I've been to but it is the only one in a boat on the Nile. It is very cozy with less than a dozen of tables. Cuts' selection was limited (when we went, picanha was not there. It is one of my favorites). Waiters took good care of us. Service was super friendly: Habiba and Moustapha were very nice. They were able to describe salads and hot dishes perfectly and provide recommendations when asked. The chef Karim, cooked our meat to a perfect doneness. He was also very kind to customize some cuts to our liking. Salads and hot plates were super nice except the cucumber/apple salad. Deserts were also great except the pudding inside the lemon tart was very cold, almost ice cream. Overall, we really enjoyed this meal and we would love to return.

Pier 88 is so amazing that we made dinner reservations two nights in a row!! The food and the ambiance is incredible!! The filet had the depth of smoke that one can only dream of. The risotto was so creamy and tender, it was so good that it was to die for. The calamari was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere is amazing and it makes it so easy for you to get comfortable and caught up in it. Spicy meatballs were probably the best I’ve ever had. The ravioli were absolutely beautiful. Our server George and Mena were great, keeping perfect timing and a perfect table for us… if you have not been to Pier 88 in Cairo, it is hands down an absolute must go place for the best food in Egypt!

Best restaurant ever!!! Shady Our server and the young man who was his assistant were absolutely amazing! They were so sweet, especially with us speaking English. The food was amazing. Started out as a great evening and we enjoyed ourselves at the venue, but unfortunately my wife and I both got food poisoning from either the octopus or the sea bass, though we suspect the octopus. This put quite a damper on the end of our trip and a shame as the restaurant was nice and everything else was good. I hope the restaurant will do everything they can to prevent these happening going forward.

Our First Dinner In Egypt. We have been touring the UAE for the past week and a half. Cairo is definitely different than Dubai. We were staying at the Four Seasons which is 1/2 block away from this impressive restaurant. The hotel recommended that we take a car to cross the street. This is a floating barge permanently tied to the pier. They call it First Nile Boat. Apparently there are a few different restaurant options from which to choose from. Zoe is Mediterranean food. The view was spectacular and the decor is like you were dinning in Mykonos. We shared the Chicken Kebabs..juicy and cooked to perfection. We also had a Chiopinno Italiano Soup..delicious! In spite of all the warnings not to consume ice in Egypt my first drink was a Piña Colada with crushed ice…simply Devine.(72 hours later and have not gotten sick) The only thing we did not like everyone got a steamed towel to clean their hands except my wife and I. My favorite thing about Zoe is the pricing ….2/3 cheaper than eating out in Dubai.

The place vibes and decor is really nice. Very elegant and clean with amazing view. Food is as expected in a decent restaurant , good taste and good quality. However very limited menu selection and prices are at the higher average. Service was the disappointment. One waiter for the whole place, no professional hospitality service that u would expect with such vibes and orders came missing items beside stuff members walking around in casual outfits that would cause confusion. Overall it is a place with great potential but management needs to revisit its vision and process

Well... ! U Bistro is kind of one of the expensive dine-outs "European Prices" spots in Cairo. During my stay I'd say one of the best 10 places i have eaten at in Cairo. The place has its own vibe the wine is great, they have indoor smoking too and they have their own bar for drinkes or tables for a proper meal. Booking in advance is recommended. The view is good the decorations and music all good.... Its a great place if you're hanging out in a date. Their service is great overall, Professional. No fussing with clients. They're presentable and decent people. I recommend that place for a proper dinner out for 2 or a small group of 4 people

For was amazing, i wouldn’t recommend the chicken very much but i would recommend the steak and the mushroom risotto. I had an issue with the drinks and cocktails but thats a common issue in Egypt.

Upmarket restaurant with a dress code. Great service and tasty menu at a price. We were the only guests when we arrived unknowing of the dresscode. My husband wore shorts and we were both wearing tshirts. It could be our ignorance for not checking the standards but we were the only guests, of course it would be bad business to turn us away. Albeit we were hidden away from all roving eyes. The good thing about being furthest away from everyone else is that we were not bothered by smoke, ashtrays are on every table. Great quality food with a pricetag to boot. As nondrinkers we were surprised to be given a bill for the equivalent of $75 USD. Can't complain the service was excellent and the food was great. They charged us a cover charge, service charge of 12% and a VAT of 14%. It all adds up. As service charge is included we didn't tip. Is this normal?

We had fun, the staff were friendly and tried to help to the best they can. The food was really good. I tried the salmon and it was delicious. A good experience in over all. They allow smoking indoors, so expect people to be smoking.

I didn’t like this restaurant at all. It’s a waste of time and money. For what you get the food is pricey and standard. The place itself was completely empty when I had lunch, lacking of character and atmosphere. The Salad I ordered was nearly sunken in a thick sauce, and the “home made” pasta half-cooked. They did not take Visa, only cash, but waited until after we received the check to tell us.

Use to be very elegant food is still great but on the other hand, the people outside are very rude and deserve a boycott nevertheless its unusually empty guys lets teach them a lesson because they already ask for an amount of money with half the experience i will post this one every single group including the night were some people started throwing on our table ice and you guys did nothing about it. Get your prestige back and never think we don’t have options.

The location is awesome with a very great view music is good as well regardless that changing DJs during the night will let the songs get repeated for sure. having a belly dancer is recommended with table number 36 for a perfect location close to the stage, bar and in the middle of the restaurant. the bad issue about there is the staff! actually the door reservation staff, they are treating you as if you are entering for free and so ever.

The place is amazing the staff are welcoming, I’ve been served by Habeba she was nice, and so much appreciation to the restaurant manager Omer Abdul Azeem he was so helpful and welling to provide any support needed. So much love to Egypt and their people ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very nice place. Monday nights are Latin nights with very nice music. The food is very good and the staff are friendly. You can enjoy good floor and nice drinks with your crowd.

The food has a lovely homemade taste, and the portions are very generous. We had the cheese samosas and a mixed grill, both were delicious. As a kind gesture, we were also offered some complimentary sweets. However, we were charged additional taxes that we couldn’t understand. We were aware of the standard 14% VAT and 12% service charge in Egypt, but the charges on the bill (photo attached) did not match these rates. Also, the bill heading didn’t match the restaurant name. When we questioned the staff, no clear explanation was given and we were requested to pay in cash. After several attempts to understand the charges, we eventually gave up and left disappointed.

It was nice experience and the food was very good. The provide us free of charge Basbousa and Konafa, It was nice from them. Their turkish coffee is recomanded, I advise to visit.

Very tasty food!!! Amazing and friendly staff, they were very helpful and mostly speak English. The breads they give with food are wonderful. In general, there is a wide choice of food and the prices are pretty low. On top of it, they are on the terrace, next to Nile, so the view is lovely. There is air conditioning. Only problem: flies. We stayed at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Cairo for 2 nights on the first leg of our Egyptian honeymoon. We chose to eat in Bullona on the first night Unfortunately what should have been a very special occasion for us was completely ruined by the rude bigoted arrogance of the maitre d' We reserved a table and as we were walking in he whispered to me ' this is a fine dining restaurant and slippers are not appropriate attire' I was wearing expensive black Birkenstock sandals with black linen trousers and a burnt orange linen top. I was shocked and upset.....I have eaten in 'fine dining' restaurants all over the world including top hotels in London where I am from and never been told my dress was inappropriate In any event as guests of The Four Seasons Hotel whose reputation for first class service is exemplary it should not have mattered what I was wearing on my feet We left the restaurant and complained to the hotel management I was persuaded against my better judgment to eat in Bullona Frankly I'm not sure what the fuss is about - whilst the food is tasty and well presented it is certainly not fine dining The remainder of our trip in Egypt was fabulous - a 4 night trip down the Nile and a 6 night stay at the Four Seasons in Sharm Luckily the arrogant rudeness of one man has not swayed my view of the Egyptians who I found to be charming and polite wherever else we went I am however surprised the Four Seasons allows this man to remain employed in one of it's hotel restaurants

Visited while on holiday. We came on a Wednesday night so there were not a lot of ppl, but the DJ was great and the atmosphere was one that we felt comfortable and had an enjoyable time.

No AC it was burning hot , you have to pay before entry as if we're going to run ! The atmosphere was extremely upsetting. Definitely not worth the money. Level is really low never as it used to be long before.

The place is good for dates/hangouts. It's a bit pricy as you can expect from this category of places. The service was fine, not too fast, not too slow, but overall friendly. The food was good, and the portions were reasonable. The menu was a bit limited, and unfortunately, no desserts were available to order. The views on the nile were spot on. But the selection of music was a mood killer. And to top it up, the A.Cs were not fully running on a hot, humid summer night. For 1000 L.E. per person, you can get similar or better experience in other places.. so my overall rating is 8/10

If you are European, don't go to this place: - the food is extremely bad - the service is horrible, they don't do the staff you ask for and you have to ask them multiple time for the same thing - they exploit the omission technique at their advantage. The whole experience is so disturbing, the manager is so biased to get money out of you, and there is no respect for the customer, and the food quality is below average.

The place is not bad but disappointing. Their prices are not updated on the menu, the price for a pasta chicken dish on the menu was 800, they told me after ordering it was 850 and a waiter came for the third time and said 900. Had to literately negotiate and make it 850 with no additional payments at all. Even took too long to prepare and it was all oily and small in quantity. The sound system is so close to seats that it deafens and causes headache if exposed for too long to them. The speakers should be put somewhere a bit away from the seats. The most annoying thing are those wannabe valets (سايس) that are on the street outside. Thugs trying to scam you for parking that I had to bring the cop across the street to make him go away.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was negatively impacted by people smoking inside the establishment, which not only made the atmosphere uncomfortable but also violated health regulations. I also noticed that the windows offering a view of the Nile River were extremely dirty, hindering the possibility of enjoying the beautiful scenery. The combination of indoor smoking and the obscured view due to dirty windows made my visit to this restaurant quite unpleasant. I recommend looking for other options with cleaner and more pleasant environments nearby.

The waiters were nice and explained us all the ingredients that each dish had. It was a buffet with tasty local food. The atmosphere was nice, although I little bit of cold.

The location on the Nile is beautiful, but if you’re looking for a true five-star place, this isn’t it. Almost all the music is Gulf, with very few Egyptian songs, and most of the guests are Gulf visitors. The place itself feels suffocating from all the shisha smoke. The music and sound quality were terrible — it felt like listening to a noisy cassette where you can’t even understand the words. I’m giving a low rating for one main reason: the dancer spent over half an hour going from table to table collecting tips instead of performing. Definitely not the level I expected.

Checked it out cos it is just opposite the hotel I stayed. And old school bar. Came in a day earlier and it was packed. Returned the next day at 5pm. It was quite empty. No happy hours beer. But the beer prices are good to be considered as happy hours. It comes complimentary with generous amount of peas as snacks. Worth checking out if you are around this downtown area.

Very fine bar for some beers and snacks! We just had dinner and we were open for a beer downtown. This place catchted my eyes and got seated very quickly. We ordered some nice Stella beers and big portions of lupine beans, fava beans and some greens came on the table. We drank quite some beers that evening. The atmosphere is good, with nice classic sing along music in the background. I liked the bar and the price is very reasonable too!

Nice atmosphere and location, staff are welcoming and friendly, I didn’t try food there but they offer some free meze dishes along with the drinks like some fresh cucumber or carrots, salted lupine or spicy beans.. They serve the usual Egyptian liquor the same bottles and cans as you buy it from the liquor stores, prices are average, they don’t offer the 20% and 15% drinks.. The place is welcoming all kinds of people, good 90’s and 80’s music also.. They only bad thing there it was a very hot sumner day and the place was so crowded full of people in the weekend and it’s big place with high ceiling and they don’t have a good cooling system, only a few small fans that did nothing and no AC, they should really give attention to that point, we were literally melting inside.

They told us we could stay only until 10 PM, which we agreed to. But when we asked to stay just a bit longer — until midnight — they suddenly refused to serve us at all. No warning, no compromise. And the worst part? We had to walk out and leave our half-full drinks on the table. Did they offer not to charge us for the drinks we didn’t finish? Of course not. They couldn’t care less. It was all about squeezing money out of us, then pushing us out the door. Zero professionalism, zero hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Total rip-off and a seriously unpleasant experience.

Chanced upon this bar during our stay in Cairo. It’s a small place that screens sports (mainly football :)). They have a. Decent selection of alcohol and are priced well. What I found most innovative here is that they can get you bar snacks or short bites from restaurants or food carts next door at a small fee and you can sit down here and enjoy them with your drink. It worked for us coz we are vegetarians and they were able to get us fries and falafel from a shop close-by since they didn’t have it on their menu. Another interesting thing is they give you complementary nuts and some greens to munch on !! Their service is very prompt and they keep clearing empty glasses and tissues without asking.

Hands down one of the worst bar experiences I’ve ever had. The waiters were literally fighting over us like we were some kind of prize – not because they wanted to give good service, but because they were desperate for tips. Even though there were plenty of empty tables, they wouldn’t let us sit unless we paid them directly. Insane. They told us we could sit at a table only until 10 PM, which was weird enough, but when we wanted to stay longer (the bar wasn’t even full!), they flat-out refused to serve us anymore. We had to leave with half our drinks still on the table. Unbelievable. If you want to feel unwelcome, hustled, and rushed out the door, this is the place for you. Otherwise, steer clear.

Had a beautiful evening at the Jazz Bar in Cairo. The atmosphere was classy yet relaxed, although was expecting some smooth live jazz music to set the perfect tone for the night. The views over the city were stunning – especially as the sun set and the skyline lit up. The drinks were fantastic. I wish we had more time to stay and try more from their cocktail menu and explore their wine list, which looked excellent. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're looking for a stylish night out in Cairo.

I dined here to try the camel burger and to enjoy some music! We were seated with a nice view and the music was great, a bit loud but it was nice. We don't drink, so can't rate the drinks! The camel burger was different, very dry and almost crumbly dry. The red velvet shrimp were OK. French fries were good. My nonalcoholic drink was cute and tasty.

We had both drinks and snacks. Sushi was really good, as well as creme brule. Whiskey sour was rather disappointing, especially for the price paid (I think it is a general thing in Egypt), so I swapped to wine. Good service. Keep in mind it is a smoking- inside bar.

Beautiful view of the Nile. Live jazz, and delightful cold beers. When we visited it was quiet so the musicians allowed us to make song requests, and even join in to sing. It was a really fun evening. The staff are warm, they also sang a little.

I really enjoy this place, the music they pick is usually quite excellent. The service and managment do a great job and are very helpful, and I always enjoy the sushi. There aren’t many legitimate Jazz Bars in Cairo, but this carries the weight of its name. Would highly recommend.

Nice small bar located in outskirts of Cairo. Nice ambience and staff are friendly. The booze is cheap-ish and they have a DJ on. Mainly for a younger crowd I would say, music was not to my taste but was tolerable. I'm not sure they do food, no sign of it but we did arrive late on, around 20:30 I would possibly visit again the atmosphere was chilled and the staff really friendly.

I think we enjoyed ourselves mostly because we were a large group that took the whole second level to ourselves for a private event. Otherwise, I would never willingly come to this place myself. It's a tiny spot, and they are not picky at all about who they let in. They even told us, after we specified a guest list and requested they ensure no one else be allowed to enter our private party, that anyone who asks for us they'd just let on up. Huh? Music was alright, a lot of trendy Arabic songs mixed with the usual repetitive thumping bass, but they had some really great dance tunes sprinkled in between. We brought our own bottles, which I normally recommend to places like this if you can manage that. My experience with drinks offered in restobars in Egypt has been a complete and utter disappointment. They will charge you the full proper amount for a classy drink, but they'll give you the cheap labels, or they'll put like a teaspoon instead of what's actually required in the recipe. Be picky about what you order if you're not bringing your own stuff. The belly dancer was great. Super fun and cute and actually danced as opposed to being theatrical and dramatic or doing obviously rehearsed moves like she's in a pageant. It's been a minute since I've seen a real dancer do her thing! Also knows how to work a crowd and her outfits were 🔥🔥🔥 Loved the food options. Egyptian/MENA cuisine, primarily. The atmosphere is meh... like I said, had it not been a private event away from the regular customers, I would not have stepped foot in this place. But great company changes everything! One major disappointment: Dasani water? Really? We should know better now. Get with the times.

Update : I had a call from the manager Mr. Alaa a very reactive professional and nice person. He fixed the issue and apologised for the rudeness of the employee handling the reservation. I want to thank him for doing a great job. Very low class place. Reservation team is the worst. Rude persons. As foreigner I just send a very formal message to reserve for a group of ladies.Answer is NO. Not even a hello we decline wich we can understand. They simply wrote NO 🤣 maybe they just don't understand that a woman can pay for herself and don't need a man to be with her to enter a "club" that's how business loose customers

No place to dance . We were dancing beside a step . It can be dangerous: we could fall. The place is dark inside. 500 le minimum charge imposes us to eat or to drink alcohol.. and the menu is poor. the ambiance is horrible. Anyway, i and some friends stopped going there. No quality !

Johnny's Bianchi (North Coast) I had the worst experience in this place. Very poor and bad service. Badly equipped to handle big crowds and parties, although they promote and make you pay entrance fees for a really low quality party. They also overcharged my whole group on different items and they make up prices as they go. Make sure to ask for your bill and revise it very well before paying.
