This is a great little spot to pick up some great food. I wish I would have gotten something other than the sliders. It’s not that they were bad, they were just tiny and I was left hungry after. We went for lunch one day and breakfast the next. The burritos as bomb. They are huge, filling and oh so tasty. Highly recommend going if you’re looking for a nice spot to chill, eat some good with the local chickens and do some shopping.

Great spot for a casual, satisfying meal after a day exploring the North Shore! The pork is definitely the star here—tender, flavorful, and served generously. I had the Bombers and they lived up to the hype—loaded, filling, and packed with flavor. The portions are big, so come hungry. The vibe is laid-back and the staff was friendly, even during the lunch rush. It’s not a huge space, so seating can be tight during peak times, and there was a bit of a wait. But the food came out quickly once we ordered. Overall, a solid spot for classic Hawaiian-style comfort food. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Haleiwa!

Ray is the owner/manager and was super respectful, jovial, courteous and genteel. Nice to meet you man! The environment has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The chairs are metal so bring a towel you can fold up if you have no butt to cushion your experience. Food was great! Pricing is decent and it’s great because you are supporting local businesses. Especially after European colonialism and the heavy white presence here. Remember to respect the people and the culture. This isn’t just a paradise excursion. This is a land where the people have for generations established a kingdom and we are visitors against their will so show respect. The music is calming and the location was easy to access. The portions are kinda small. At least for me. I’m an average 6’4” 250 lbs and I EAT. So I probably wouldn’t come here if I was extremely hungry but the meal is a good lean meal to get your day started or if you just need to fill yourself to stave off hunger. Or if you’re a smaller person with a regular appetite. lol. Also I think the portions are for white people that serve as the majority of the people here so I’m not surprised the local businesses would make portions to serve the primary audience. In any case an excellent restaurant. Remember to support the locals here. Not white colonialism.

Chuns bomber was awesome. Flavor and portion size was just right. Biscuits and gravy were good and the gravy was flavorful. Definitely recommend the iced vanilla macadamia nut coffee. Get it with a splash of cream and simple syrup.

The sliders were insanely delicious! I do agree would other reviews though that portion sizes are small. I’m someone who never cleans their plate and I ate every single bite. There’s not very much seating and you are right by a busy road.

I had stopped by for late breakfast the other day. The staff was friendly and the food was good. As always.

Service was fantastic, and strawberry lemonade was to die for!! Our food was good, but didn’t wow us. (We got the Hawaiian bowl, and the Old School sandwich) I’ll admit we were not super hungry when we came, so perhaps not ready lol, but this location closes so early and we wanted to try! I think if we were to eat here again I’d try some of the breakfast options, those seem to be more popular.

Hawaiian food generally tastes saltier than I want and this restaurant was no exception. The appetizers and salad were pretty decent but the entrees were way too salty. I hope they will change. That being said our waiter was great and we really enjoyed dining there. The view was beautiful looking out to the ocean and sunset.

Everything was delicious, our waiter was very friendly, the vibe was good. We arrived right after sunset and were seated immediately (in late September). We had the braised short rib and grilled mahi mahi, both were amazing! Will definitely go back for the drinks, food, and the vibe.

Way overpriced. Check the current menu pricing as the Google reviews somehow has entree pricing that is considerably less than the current pricing (as of Sept 2025). The restaurant is aware the menu is wrong on Google but inconveniently they have not corrected. On to the food. The signature braised short ribs were so salty and swimming in a pool of gravy. We also ordered the shrimp scampi- it was terrible, the pasta tasted like it came out of an instant package. Seriously, way overpriced. I felt so sorry for the tourists I saw in there. The bill for our family of five came to $350 plus tip. It would’ve been pricey even if the food was okay but the entrees were terrible! The only good thing I can say is the sunset view is ok if you’re seated in one of the few tables along the road. Oh and as long as you don’t mind looking across a highway with cars constantly rumbling by.

We, a group of 8, came here on a weeknight to celebrate a successful work trip. We made reservations for a time slightly before sunset. They seated us at a table which was beach side, and we were able to watch the sunset while drinking fresh made and well made drinks. I ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly, a medium-rare. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quiet, beach side evening.

Amazing location, food, and service. Nick our server was the best you could ask for, he had all the answers even to questions we didn't ask and double as a phenomenal on the spot photographer. My wife and I couldn't have asked for better service and the food was just the icing on the cake. Only complaint we had was the people letting their kids run around and scream at the top of their lungs upsetting the most beautiful back drop of a sunset we could've asked for. We will certainly be back as soon as possible!

Nice dinner on the beach. Good food, lots of parking, and within steps of the sand. Modern inside, and the staff was accommodating with our group size. Overall good place to eat, with great views of the harbor and water. Recommended if you make it over this way

Was nice. Hadn't been there in a while and wanted to check out menu. Just had a Thai Tea. Has lots of vegetables. Up if you like Cilantro. I don't but , was refreshing. Sean was multitasking Working on his 53rd Birthday. Great service. Mahala.. Happy Birthday.

We came here for dinner and it was good. It’s pretty pricey for relatively small portions, but the staff is nice and loves kids. They went out of their way to entertain the little ones and would even give a free desert. The food was good, just in my opinion a bit pricey.

We had a “nice dinner out” and we chose this sushi bar. It was fun to sit on the ground and have a more traditional experience (don’t worry you can have regular seating as well). Parking was abundant but the area was quite busy so we had to park a little far (3-4 min walk max). It is certainly a little pricey, but I think the food/atmosphere mostly was worth it. The vegetable tempura was solid. The rolls were good. The nicest part was walking around the area, there are lots of restaurants, ice cream etc all within this area within walking distance.

I saw many great comments so thought I would give it a try. It is good food however if you are hungry you will not get full. I went during happy hour got 3 sushi and then ordered ceviche and catch of the day. Was never told what the catch was lol Staff is friendly and their restrooms are unique But very expensive to not get full

Sushi was fresh and portion size was decent. A bit overpriced, but probably due to location. Service was fast and friendly. Seating area has an option of traditional seating and regular tables. We experienced some yelling children, which affected the ambiance.

Went with the servers suggested specials and loved every bite. Go with the local catch. It's less expensive and twice as delicious.

One of the best Sushi Bars I'd ever been to. Food was spectacular, atmosphere was awesome, three different areas of seating, something for everyone. Great music, great drinks, FRESH MAJOR TASTEFUL FOOD. Prices were wonderful as well.

We visited Haleʻiwa Bowls on a Sunday morning around 10 AM, and it was packed — clearly a very popular spot! The outdoor seating area is super nice, surrounded by plants and trees, giving it a very natural and relaxing vibe. You’ll even see chickens wandering around, which adds to the authentic Hawaiian atmosphere. We first ordered a large $16 bowl to share, and it was so fresh and delicious that we actually went back and ordered two more small bowls afterwards. The flavors were natural, refreshing, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The place attracts people of all ages, but we noticed a lot of young people hanging out and enjoying their bowls. Overall, we loved the experience and would definitely come back. Fresh ingredients, great flavors, and such a cool, lively spot in Haleʻiwa. Highly recommended! 🌺🥥🍓

Haleiwa Bowls is one of those spots that just hits the right vibe the moment you walk up. Super relaxed, beachy atmosphere, friendly crew, and bowls that taste like someone actually cares about what they’re serving. The fruit is always fresh, portions solid, and the blends come out smooth, not watery like in some tourist traps. It’s a bit busy at peak hours, but the line moves fast and the wait is worth it. Perfect place to grab something light before heading to the beach or cruising around the North Shore.

Best acai bowl I've had on the island. Excellent portion size and everything in the bowl including the base is fresh. I've had bowls elsewhere on the island and the smoothie base is frozen, which is harder to eat as it doesn't melt fast enough. The staff are so friendly and do a great job at making the bowls. A definite treat on a hot summer day.

This bowl hit the spot! Got the Hapa acai bowl, the fruit was all fresh and delicious. Got peanut butter on top which was a perfect addition. The large size goes fast! I really enjoyed the granola too. Atmosphere is cute, with chicken and birds roaming, hoping to get some stray dropped fruit

Hale’iwa bowls is a favorite spot of mine to stop after a day on the north shore, especially after spending time in the hot sun and the salty ocean. A delicious treat. It’s super popular and their parking is tiny so I suggest parking elsewhere and walking down to their spot. Although you’ll see a lot of people waiting on their bowls, the girls behind the bar are super quick and it’s well worth the wait.

Both Açai bowl and their cold brew are great. The fruit they used for the toppings are super fresh. All staffs are nice. The only downside is they don’t have table seating. Only some benches for the customers to seat.

We have tried several açaí bowls while on the island. These are hands down the best. Everything was so fresh & the açaí was so smooth. And the fresh coconut SO VERY yummy!!

This shaved ice place was recommended to us by a couple people. MATSUMOTO is quite sn impressive opperation. The long line moves fast and the price is 1/2 of my favorite shaved ice place, but the syrup on our strawbery and coconut had a chemical taste and neither resembled the flavors we requested. Also the ice wasnt as finely shreded as my favorite shaved ice place only a few miles south.

Sure, it’s a tourist must-do, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious or memorable. The ice is perfectly fluffy, the flavors are legit (not syrupy fake), and the variety of toppings is impressive. I went all-out and ordered the most expensive item on the menu...ice cream, azuki beans, mochi, condensed milk, you name it... and it still only set me back about seven bucks. In a state where "tourist pricing" is the norm, this place is shockingly fair. Friendly service, fast lines, and a treat that actually feels like Hawaii. Totally worth the stop, and a place I’d come back to again (and again). One of the few truly "iconic" spots that deserves the crowds. (See my photo for proof—this is what $7 gets you!)

Matsumoto Shave Ice, located in Haleiwa Store Lots off Kamehameha Highway, with ample parking behind the lot. This place was highly recommended, so we were excited to try it! Upon arrival, we found the line to be long, but it moved quickly. The view from behind the glass was captivating. My husband and I opted for a large shaved ice with condensed milk. Unfortunately, the three flavors we chose lacked depth and tasted artificial, a bit watered down for our liking. On a brighter note, we purchased some of their Li Hing Mango Chex Mix, and this was absolutely delicious. While this location is quite touristy, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. However, Hawai’i is home to numerous other excellent shaved ice spots, so you can definitely find other good local shaved ice!

Wow this place gets PACKED! We ended up here after our last minute drive around the island. ATMOSPHERE: They're an old school grocery store that is known for their shave ice. Not SHAVED, just shave. You'll probably encounter a super long line at the entrance. Don't be alarmed, there's no natural disaster coming, it's the demand for their infamous Hawaiian dessert treat. SHAVE ICE: Grape My ultimate favorite flavor where ever I go. The ice is chunkier than say Ululani's, and that's how I like it. I opted for vanilla ice cream at the bottom because it makes it all that much better. I also got a squeeze of condensed milk on the top but I'm not a fan of it because it's too sweet for me. It comes in an easy to hold cup that also prevents a melting, drippy mess. SERVICE: When the line gets long, a worker comes through the line to take orders to try and speed up service. Everyone was friendly. OVERALL: This is the ultimate Hawaiian shave ice style, nice and chunky. No fine powder dust for me!

We indulged today and tried this hidden treasure! The line moved swiftly and the shaved ice was good! Plenty of options to choose from. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere/ surrounding area was just what you think of when you think Hawaii!

The shave ice is so refreshing and perfectly sweet, with flavors that really stand out—each bite is full of tropical goodness. I loved the chewy mochi pieces mixed in; they add a fun, satisfying texture that makes the treat even more enjoyable. It was also fun to eat right next to chicken, which adds to the classic local experience. The store itself is cute and charming, with that iconic Hawaii vibe that makes you feel like you’re really on island time.

They have their process down pack. There was no line when we went...walked up, places our order (small rainbow with ice cream and small blue raspberry/grape with ice cream). They mark the bowls hand it to the guy behind the counter and they fill it with shave ice and then a second guy puts on the syrup. Total time 5 mins. They were finishing up 2 orders that were a head of us. Shave ice with ice cream was Da Best!

I had been to the Haiku Gardens the night before and enjoyed it so much I decided to try this location since I was on the North Shore. It was slightly disappointing. My coconut shrimp appetizer tasted mushy and off which was the opposite of the ones from the night before. The main I ordered was actually quite good it was the fried whole fish but not for the faint of heart as the bones were a little daunting. Sauce for the fish was ordered on the side which was nice as it kept the fish crispy. The most disappointing part was dessert, the chocolate mousse was not good at all, it was too soft and just tasted old. I felt a little ignored and the ambiance was lacking. Some hits and misses here.

From the hostess to the bartender to our waiter … our dinner experience was wonderful! The food was absolutely delicious - there wasn’t a single bite left on any of the plates! We ordered the ahi tuna spring rolls (would totally drive the hour and a half for these again tonight, SO GOOD!) and for our entrees we ordered the grilled fish (which was blue marlin) and the sticky ribs. Absolutely delicious and the perfect choices for surf + turf! Even the starter bread … so warm and soft. I also had two of the spicy cucumber margaritas … so yummy. This was definitely our favorite meal while in Oahu! Thank you, Haleiwa Joes!

Eric our server was the best. It's servers like him that make the hospitality of the experience we had memorable. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and gave everything a truly spectacular description. The staff brought everything out at the same time - Amazing team work. Was not expecting that 5 Star Level of service and it matched the level of flavor of the entrees served. If I could give Eric and crew 10 stars I would.

What a fantastic spot on the North Shore! We saved it for our last night and it was a great end to our trip. The food was top notch- fresh, delicious, and filling. The pricing was great for the area. Brandon our waiter was wonderful. We will be coming back when we’re back on the island!

Came here on our treat yo self night and didn't regret it. The service was great and helped nail down some good entrees. I ended up going with the grilled fish and ended up with a completely clean plate. The cocktails were fantastic

Caught dinner and sunset after an afternoon hike at Waimea Falls. A short wait, maybe 10 minutes landed us a great table out on the patio with an excellent view of the upcoming sunset. We started with a shared spicy poke appetizer (so fresh & delicious) and followed by salads. Everything was really fresh and well seasoned. And service was outstanding. Attentive but not overbearing. I can definitely see why this place is busy, it’s very good. And the location can’t be beat!

Delicious food and great outdoor seating with amazing views of the Haleiwa harbor. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. We ordered the ginormous prime rib and hand left over sandwiches for days. We will be back.

Got the country noodles (pad Thai with extra add inns) and yellow curry Chicken satay was amazing Katie was all by herself and crushing it tonight. I was going to stay in Honolulu for our last day, called an audible and will be back here for lunch before we fly out to mainland tomorrow. Forgot to take pictures of the meal

The staff failed to address an issue with an incorrect order, dismissing concerns in a manner that felt manipulative and dismissive. Having dined here numerous times, we are well-acquainted with the distinction between their Pad Thai and Country Pad Thai. The closure of one of their locations is unsurprising given this level of service. Without improvement, sustaining operations at this location may prove challenging. Enhanced accountability and customer care are strongly recommended.

What an amazing staff. So fun and loving. Small cozy environment. You can tell the food is made to order and with precision. Both the Bangkok night noodle and chili basil were fantastic. If you like veggies, add it to your Bangkok night noodle. I will definitely be coming back often

Many gluten free options, labeled clearly on the menu. Had the yellow curry noodles and pineapple fried rice. 😋 Very tasty, good portions, no added spice was perfect for my Midwest palate. Staff was great and hard working. Prices were very good compared to other island restaurants.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The food is fantastic! The service was phenomenal! I didn’t want to leave. I had the roast duck with yellow curry, and a side of sticky rice. I would absolutely get it all again. The mango sticky rice was excellent. I liked it best when compared to the fried bananas and ice cream although there was nothing wrong with that dish either. It is a small space, but I liked the open atmosphere (they had the doors open when we were there). If you are thinking about giving this place a shot don’t think twice about it. It’s great!!!

Super fast friendly servers. The food was good. Thai hot is not hot, but that’s my only complaint. I understand they have to cater to tourists. Would definitely go again.

This place was not too busy when we sat down for lunch, but I could not tell you why. The service was great and the thai food was phenomenal, not to mention a reasonable price. We all tried different dishes and were not disappointed. Be advised, if ordering a spicy dish, you will want to mix it as most of the spices are at the bottom under the noodles/rice. Will return for another meal here.

We stopped by this place for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the huge outdoor area. The weather was perfect for sitting outside—just make sure you find a spot in the shade, because weeks under the Hawaiian sun can burn you before you even realize it. The food was great. I had the waffle, and my boyfriend tried the loco moco—both were delicious. The place seems really popular with locals and families; there were plenty of seats, and lots of people driving in to grab a bite. The only downside is the lack of a proper bathroom. They only have porta-potties, which wasn’t ideal, especially with the hot weather making them a bit unpleasant. Overall, still a good spot to enjoy a casual lunch—just be prepared for the restroom situation.

This place was so good we went back to get lunch after breakfast. Fresh produce felt like a premium on the island, and this was one of the few places that felt easy to eat clean without compromising taste. My wife and I tried 7 acai places between Oahu and the Big Island, and this one was our favorite. No one ingredient stood out, this was just the perfect blend of fruit and base and granola. The keiki fried rice was tasty and a solid portion, and the salad we ordered for lunch was good too. Thank you for a wonderful meal, and keep up the good work!

We stopped at Farm to Barn during our North Shore drive and loved the laid-back atmosphere. It’s such a peaceful spot — the open-air seating, the palm trees, and the view of the fields make it feel like a little local hideaway. The food was fresh and flavorful. We tried the açaí bowls and one of the wraps — everything tasted healthy and homemade.

Acai bowl was good... refreshing on a hot day. Papaya was fresh and sweet. The watermelon basil drink was great. Couldn't tell much about other foods. Some of my friends said they were good. Nice seating area outside. Unfortunately, porta-potty is the bathroom you have to use here.

First time here and highly recommend for everyone. The found was great and was even a cute dog wondering around. Took off one star for atmosphere as some picnic tables had mud puddles around it. If I was local, I would alway stop here!

We enjoyed a beautiful morning at North Shore and are so very glad we took a recommendation from a friend to try out Farm to Barn. The acai bowls were amazing! Every bite was delicious! Very clean. Friendly associates. An all around nice place. Can not wait to go back again soon!!! I made a return trip with a friend and the avocado toast was delicious! So much flavor, lots to eat, and almost too beautiful to eat!!! You’ve got to get here and try them out!!!

This spot has a very touristy vibe but offers a nice ambiance with good music and friendly service. The food could use some improvement — the shell of our taco salad was a bit greasy — but we appreciated the vegetarian options on the menu. The chips and salsa were just okay, but overall, we had a good time.

Good food...chips don't seem home made, but the salsa is excellent. And I've never tasted such delicious guacamole outside of my home. My chimichanga was pretty good, but my wifes schrimp taco was delicious. Service could be better...it wasn't even busy!

Great Mexican restaurant in the North Shore. The staff here are all great and friendly. Their dragon fruit margarita was tasty and would love to get it again. The fish are freshly caught and are great as tacos. They started to do Karaoke on Saturday nights after the restaurant closes for the night. Great place to get a drink afterhours.

Technically, this review is for their karaoke Saturdays! Hands down the best crowd for old school mixed plate style karaoke. Great vibes. Great songs. Amazing singing. Amazing bartenders. Amazing karaoke hosts. Don't miss out!

Stopped for lunch. Great spot. Good service. Good food. We ordered soft and hard tacos with beef-very good! Also beef burrito and quesadillas. Both very good. Their margaritas , house and Blue, were excellent! The downside, and I’m sure it’s controlled by the management of the building, was the Men’s room at the end of the building. Gross. Needs to be douched big time.

Great experience! My husband and daughters really enjoyed our dinner this evening. My husband and I used to come here a long time ago and always loved it, so we thought of trying it out again. After reading reviews, we were a bit skeptical but decided to chance it and see how it went. Wow, I'm so glad we took that chance. The food and margaritas were amazing. The salsa was fresh and yummy, and the food was perfect. The beans and rice were basic but still great with the food. The margaritas were perfect; we had the blue hawaii, the Cadillac. And the li hing mui Margaritas and wow, they were strong and tasted great. Finally, the service was quick and great. Thank you to Izzy for great service. Highly recommended for those looking for good food and drinks and a comfortable environment. We will be back soon. The onlly issue, if really an issue at all, is that the Horchata was a bit watery. It still had good taste though.

Every time we come to this place the service is excellent. It was the first time we ordered the Cholos Nachos Special though. Be warned, it's huge enough to feed 4-5 people and be full along with beers and margaritas of course. It doesn't come with sour cream or guacamole, but you can order it on the side to further fill you up. We loved the combination of the three meats and it's loaded with cheese. Good afternnon snack when coming from the beach.

Best little lunch spot on Oahu? Delicious, unpretentious sandwiches and super fresh juices—plus homemade baked goods, a comfy patio, and lots of local charm. Not exactly hidden, but definitely a gem!

We had The Works, Chicken Avocado, Chicken and Cheese, peanut butter shake, banana shake, strawberry lemonade and EVERYTHING was amazing!! Little hole in the wall places like this either make everything from frozen or from love... This place is all love. It tastes amazingly fresh and well balanced. I would eat here daily if I lived here. Holy cow it's good!!

Very cute and quaint juice/smoothie place with great food options. Just got a starfruit lemonade and cookie but both were delicious and the staff was very kind. Highly reccomend checking them out. Super reasonable prices as well.

The BEST banana bread I’ve ever had. Such a cute little shop with plenty of seating, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, great service and very affordable prices. The banana bread was just $3, cookies were $1 each. A must-visit if you’re coming to Oahu even if you come up the north shore just for this!!

Sandwich I got was great, as well as the smoothie, everything tasted so fresh. Nice laid back atmosphere and amazing freshly baked goods also.

We were referred to this cute “local” place by Holly at North Shore Soap Factory (another great place to visit). We were told that Waialua Bakery has great sandwiches (all fresh ingredients) and is owned by a local family. The menu provided us with an abundance of choices for sandwiches, but the Açaí bowl caught our attention. We also ordered the “hunk” of bread. The Açaí bowl was delicious and included granola and fresh banana. The hunk of bread had two toppings - cinnamon and honey (delicious) and extremely generous portions. The employee who assisted us was very friendly and helpful with guiding us with our options. I look forward to going back and trying other items.

Delicious sandwiches for a reasonable price! We discovered the bakery by chance as it’s tucked away to the side of the building. I ordered the Hungry Hawaiian and ate it over two meals (the sandwich was huge, at least for me!). The bread was fresh and packed with chicken, bacon and veggies. Will definitely revisit next time I’m in Haleiwa!

I really liked the vibes at Killer Tacos. The customer service was excellent and very friendly. The tacos were just okay; perhaps that's my fault for ordering the hard shell. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more with soft shell tacos. However, the fish was very good. Overall, the meal just didn't hit the mark for me. I plan to come back and give it another try next year. I apologize for the less-than-stellar review, but I have experienced a wide range of taco godlyness, scoring them anywhere from 4/10 to 10/10. Keep up the good vibes!

Overall, this was a pretty good choice. The service was outstanding and even though there was only one person working here, he was very nice and made our food pretty quickly. We ordered both the big nachos and the little nachos as well as the short and longboard burritos. The food was pretty decent although a little expensive, but I guess that is what you would expect of North Shore food. The salsa wasn't very spicy and there was no hot sauce, but I guess that is fine for most people. The dining area was very clean and spacious and the restaurant was very well air conditioned.

We were greeted immediately as we entered. They even walked us through their meats and ingredients. They try to make up for the price with lunch deals, but they are pretty pricey. The salsa is good, but I wish they had a hot sauce selection for the food. On the plus side, they are one of the few places with a parking lot. Overall, tacos are decent, but it wouldn’t be my choice. Killer Tacos with a “KILLER” price.

Accurately named restaurant. The tortilla shells are definitely fried in house. The meat was well seasoned. Our group had pork, and beef tacos and a chicken burrito. The salsas were flavorful and also definitely from scratch. The “spicy” one was spicy, think midway on the hot ones lineup, but still had a lot of flavor. It wasn’t just pure heat which I appreciated.

Fantastic service in this cool little spot in Haleiwa. Best Mexican-style food I’ve had on the North Shore. Vegetarian options and filling portions. I got a veggie bowl and would be happy to come back and enjoy another one. Ono!

So I was on my way to visit some friends on the beach. When I realized I needed gas 🤣. Let my partner know so she could look for a gas station on our way. Thankful there was 1 right next to the best kept secret so far in Hawaii. Killer Tacos was by far best handmade food to find on the Island with a Mexican twist. Holly cow the Supreme Nachos was Amazing. And the burritos are huge. Mahalo.....to the gentleman who is from Austin, TX. Hope your still there in a few more years for when I visit again.

The food at this restaurant used to be really good. The quality and flavor has gone completely downhill. I used to eat here all the time. The habenero sauce is not hot and has less flavor and spice than Sriracha. The rice was crunchy and the ground beef had dried out pieces in it. The people were nice and the restaurant was clean.

I am speechless about this place that I loved. The taste was amazing, the plate, the service the atmosphere, the time, everything you can look for in a restaurante I will give 10000 stars to this place. Honestly loved this location. The food was great. Highly recommend the "Lox Plate" if you enjoy a bit of salmon with your eggs, toast, and salad. It was delicious. Atmosphere is cozy and the service was very friendly and patient with us. Just be prepared to spend some money if you plan to get more than just your meal. For the Lox Plate, a Bacon and egg bagel with chips, one coffee, a bag of chocolates and some local honey we spent almost $90. The two dishes by themselves round out to about $45 to $50 including tax. I would still go back personally.

Great place for breakfast and smoothies after our shark adventures in north shore. The breakfast plate (without bacon for us) was delicious and mango / guava smoothie. Like all things - awesome service is what makes everything so much better. TY Kaylee

I ordered this drink because of the foamy drink, but it turned out to be false advertising. It's really just regular coffee with milk. The cashier gave me a lot of attitude when I asked about it. She said the word "foam" was a mistake on the printed menu. What bad service this place provided.

GREAT food and a cute atmosphere, coffee was delicious and served up quickly; relaxing inside with big patio if you want to eat outside as well, though lots of chickens out there to keep you company! And it’s a busy little mall. Excellent spot, definitely give it a go

Amazing Crispy Tacos, bean and rice combination. I don’t think I ever had tacos this good. I had shredded beef which was delicious. They tacos are well filled. The seating area around back was very inviting. Parking is limited, but we did find a place. This place is a hidden gem! Food trucks are the best!

This place is so special! We came here while visiting. I had this on my list and it didn’t disappoint. I loved the set up and the food. It was raining off and on while we were there and we were still able to find a table in the back. Oh and the back area, is just like you are in a different place, we loved it! The food was perfection and full of flavor. It was food that reminded my husband and I both of family and that is something you can’t put a price on. The corn tortillas are so good, and thick! The ground beef empanada made me cry, I bit into it and it immediately made me think of my grandmother. They mixed the ground beef with potato and it was just like what my grandmother would do. Their yucca fries were very good along with their tacos. Just loved it all! Their pineapple juice was beyond addicting and I really enjoyed their horchata. I am really picky with horchata and this hit the mark. We will def come back here when we visit the island.

Super friendly, helpful staff at a really cool food truck spot. The burritos are massive, but if I'm being honest, they're just okay. The rice was overcooked and had too much tomatoe mixed in and the chorizo was much fattier than any I've ever had before. I'm being nit picky though. These certainly weren't reasons to rate them anything less than 5 stars. I'd 100% eat there again. And I don't know what kind of water machine they have, but it tasted amazing 😆

Chicken and steak soft tacos were blah. Not much flavor. Meat was soaked in something leaving the tortilla sogging and broke after one bite. Was expecting better after seeing all the good reviews.

Best tacos on the island! Up to par with LA tacos! Best quality meats and fresh guac and house made tortilla chips!! Best of all you can make any taco crunchy! I drive all the way from downtown Honolulu to get the best tacos !! Worth the drive! Service is great but line does get long and ticket time may take up to 30 to 40 mins but so worth the wait time!!!

Was visiting my children who live on the island. Stopped here on a whim. The atmosphere in the back of the place is a nice vibe and the food was amazing. We had hard tacos and a shredded beef burrito. Loved it!!!

Fantastic authentic Brazilian food! A slice of home away from home. The only thing I wasn’t a bit fan of is the chocolate chunks around the brigadeiro. For me it gave it a different flavor to the dessert.

Yes, the service is slow. But that’s because they make everything to order. It’s also why everything is absolutely delicious. So if you order, I would recommend that you be patient. They serve assorted pastels, chicken coxinha, pāo de queijo, misto quente, along with açai bowls. Most of the time, when you buy a pastel, you get this deep-fried pastry that is filled with 90% air and 10% filling. Not so at CG - their pastel was huge and packed with filling (palmito and cheese for me). The CG coxinha was a standout though. The coxinhas that I have eaten used a shredded chicken filling that was usually dried out. The stingier places also skimped out on the filling. The coxinha at CG though were stuffed with super-moist, flavorful, cubed bits of chicken. And to top it off, they used panko to make it extra crispy on the outside. As for the pão de queijo, they were also very good, but it looked like they were made in a mini waffle maker. I’ve never seen that before - probably a clever work-around to not having an oven in the food truck. Had it not been for the pastel and the coxinha, I would have probably raved more about the pāo de queijo. A bit of advice - check to see if the tables behind the food trucks are available - They are much nicer than the tables by the street which are crowded, noisy, and right by the street.

Man, I wish this place was only a block away from where I live here on the mainland. It is a small purple food truck with a few picnic tables that it is sharing with other vendors. Parking is available in front of the truck for their patrons. I ordered a large açai bowl and topped it with bananas, blueberries, granola, and coconut shavings. My bf, who doesn't eat anything healthy, also ordered the açai smoothie. Both of the items we ordered were so yummy! The açai didn't taste like it was watered down. We took those while we were enjoying the sun at the beach. On our way back to Waikiki, we got some more of their smoothies because we were craving for more! As I said earlier, I wish that this place was just a block away from where I live and I'd go there every single day. I wish I am back to Hawaii right now.

definitely one of the better açai bowls around, but at a premium. we got their "suggested " Hawaiian recipe that didn't have the price. it ended up spendy. there are only so many ingredients that fit. I love the name and multiple convenient locations as well as the focus on Brazillian roots through other food and drink offerings.

The Coxinha is fabulous and you should stop just for that. We both thought the açaí bowl was underwhelming for the price and wouldn’t order again. Definitely worth the stop just for the coxinha though!

The grilled ahi sandwich was absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly on both sides, seasoned just right, and paired with a creamy, flavorful sauce that worked beautifully both on the sandwich and as a dip for fries. Speaking of fries, they offer a few varieties--I went with their home fries. They were thick-cut, well-seasoned, and despite a few slightly burnt corners, still really enjoyable. The real highlight of the visit, though, was the gentleman who took our order. He was incredibly kind and attentive, giving me a heads-up about how the grilled fish would be prepared so there were no surprises. It came out exactly as he described. He greeted us with a big smile, carefully repeated our order to ensure accuracy, and truly felt like the rock star of the experience. There are some tables and chairs outside, but since it was raining, we moved indoors. The fountain machine is right in front by the cashier--don't miss it like we did! I also liked the interior design. The walls feature photos of the seven brothers at different ages along with the story of how the business began--it gives the place a really personal and welcoming touch. All in all, this is a must-try spot if you're in the North Shore of Oʻahu.

Was an awesome place to stop by after hitting the lovely quiet beach in the North shores of Haleiwa Beach. The order ticket time was within 5 min & was reasonably priced for being in Oahu. I ordered "the spencer" burger and it was full of flavor and enjoyed every single bite. The jalapenos, bacon and the onion ring on top, with that sauce ooooweeee!! My girlfriend ordered the "Crispy chicken teriyaki sandwich" and was delighted with the flavor profile just as much as me. We also ordered the crazy fries and the coconut shrimp and it blew our minds with the flavor packed in every item we ordered. I would recommend anyone to try this spot!!

Came here for a late dinner after exploring the north shore. We were pleased to find Seven Brothers was opened late. There is also plenty of parking as it’s in a shopping center. The burgers were delicious and so filling! It was a little later in the evening so there wasn’t many people there, but the restaurant was still clean and well kept and the staff was very friendly. We shared the crazy fries and each tried a different burger and it was so much food! The burgers are good and very hearty! We are not from the area but if we ever come across another Seven Brothers we will definitely eat there again based on this experience!

Banzai Bowls serves up some seriously delicious açaí bowls! I had the Shoyo bowl, and my wife had the Maui Sunrise—both were amazing, packed with fresh fruit and great flavors. The portions are generous, and you can’t beat enjoying them by the beach. That said, the prices feel a bit steep considering the ingredients seem to purchased from Costco. You’re definitely paying for the location and the experience. I highly recommend grabbing your bowl and walking across the street to enjoy it on the benches with a beachfront view—it’s the perfect spot to relax. Overall, fantastic bowls, but be prepared to pay a little extra for the vibe and location.

I was really disappointed by this place because I had high expectations because of the reviews. It’s my first açai bowl in Hawaii so I don’t know if that’s just how they are here but the açai was absolutely flavourless. I got the shoyo bowl where the base is acai blended with almond milk, and it was a smoothie like consistency. The acai was pale purple so clearly quite diluted, and it just tasted of absolutely nothing. The toppings were generous, as was the general portion size (18$ for a large bowl that was truly quite large) and the peanut butter I added was nice, but then there was a large drizzle of honey, also tasteless, and just extremely sugary. The granola is also not very nice. The girls working there are not the warmest of people either. So overall disappointed, it was still refreshing but the açai had no taste, the only distinctive ‘flavour’ was sugar.

The avocado and the pineapple burger were both very good with lots of flavor and hefty servings. The fries were very good as well. Would recommend visiting if you are in the area. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the outside seating was full of flies and a little bit dirty with the other option being inside and it was simply too cold and crowded. Overall a great place.

Best burger of my life. Bar none. Avocado burger with cheese with ketchup added. Perfectly seasoned patty. Part of the avocado slid off but didn't ruin the experience. Bun held together perfectly. Fried onions, tomato and lettuce were fresh and complimentary to the patty that stole the show. Fries were a good side but no match for that burger. Well done.

What a perfect burger! Definitely go for the 1/2 pound patty. We tried both the pineapple burger and the cheeseburger - both were fantastic! The pineapple burger was the standout, hitting the sweet, greasy and salty spot all at once. Nothing beats a mouthful of a juicy burger. This place is a must-visit!

The 1/3-pound bacon burger I ordered was incredibly juicy and flavorful. They claim to cook all burgers at medium, but mine was well-done. Surprisingly, they served a carrot on the side, which I found a bit odd. We also split an order of the large fries, which were shoestring-style, my favorite.

Kua Aina in Haleiwa has the best cheese burger I've ever had! We got a to go order. Thick piece of meat, generous and fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and cheese. Comes with mayo. Got the shoe-string fries-very good and a small coleslaw, also good. My husband got the avocado sandwich. He said it was fantastic. See photos. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Heard a lot about this place. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Soooooo many menus here. It was hard to make a decision. There aren’t any combos available here, so everything is separate. I didn’t realize but i should have ordered one sandwich menu to try it!! maybe next time. Liked the juicy patties and the pickle. Didn’t really like the short thin fries tho …

Stopped in for Mother’s Day and got the prime rib and scallops special. Skyler was a fantastic server and checked frequently to ensure everything was good. Prime rib was cooked to perfection. Dessert was great as well, but couldn’t finish it with all the other food.

In a recent family dinner at Uncle Bo’s, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu’s notable changes. While local pupus were still available, the entrees had undergone a significant transformation. The majority of the available dishes were Italian-inspired pasta dishes. We opted for the fried calamari pupu, which remained similar to what we had before. The rest of our dinner consisted of pasta dishes, including chicken marsala, chicken piccata, chicken Alfredo, and Uncle Bo’s Seafood Catch. The chicken marsala resembled linguine with brown gravy, mushrooms, and asparagus, and not a chicken marsala dish that I’m traditionally used to. The chicken piccata and chicken Alfredo lacked flavor, and the sauces appeared diluted. All the white sauces tasted the same , bland and watered down. The seafood catch was okay. There was nothing local offered as an entree, and the whole menu seemed revamped and wish I could say it was for the better. For dessert, we indulged in the warm fudged brownie à la mode and fried ice cream, both of which were excessively sweet due to their generous toppings of whipped cream. The highlight of our family's Sunday dinner was the bingo night, which provided an enjoyable and lively atmosphere.

An incredible medium sized diner on the North Shore of O’ahu. The GLUTEN FREE menu was incredible. They know their stuff when it comes to celiacs and gluten related questions. The food itself was seriously great. They also had a nice bar with a ton of drink options. If you’re anywhere in northern O’ahu I’d highly recommend and if you are gluten free it’s a must try. Our waitress Silkie was incredibly knowledgeable and super attentive.

The poke bowl and clam chowder soup were great here. Service was also great.

Update: we’ve returned with friends from mainland. I wanted to introduce to them my favorite fish: Mauna Kea. This time it wasn’t as good as before, but still it wasn’t bad. The mash potato was good, but the baked fish itself didn’t have the exact texture as I remembered from prior visits. A bit of disappointment. We also ordered a few other happy hour items, such as Kuala pig slider (they were okay), garlic shrimps (decent) and ube beignets (very good) . We haven’t been here for more than four years and the food tasted even better than I remembered. I had the Baked Opah Mauna Kea (local baked white fish). It was tender and full of flavors. It was the best baked fish I had anywhere, not just on Oahu. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. The smash potato was very buttery and excellent. Finally, a big thanks to our server, Ryan, who was friendly and knowledgeable. Hope I won’t have to wait another four years before I return.

Fabulous restaurant! Traveling as a Celiac can be so difficult, but I found this little gem and could not have been more impressed! My husband and I ate at Uncle Bo’s twice during our stay. Once you find somewhere safe you don’t mind making a few trips there! I was very pleased with the items on the menu I was able to eat and my husband loved his meals as well. The staff are just wonderful! So kind, so helpful, we had the sweetest servers both days. They were very engaging as well. I definitely will eat at Uncle Bo’s again!

There is a reason why this food truck is in the top 25 of the nation. The garlic butter shrimp were amazing. Even the shell was delicious. The salad included with it was fresh and crisp and the ranch dressing was perfect.

I caught the bus from Waikiki to North Shore (after my side trip to the Dole Plantation and Aloha Stadium Flea Market). After a short wander I found a food truck area and could see a few tables outside a food truck called the Big Wave Shrimp Truck. After taking ages to finally decide what to order (as the menu is extensive and you want to try them all) I ordered the Garlic Butter Shrimp. It was so succulent and full of flavour. Highly recommended meal at this well known eatery.

It was delicious and fast! The garlic on the shrimp was so good. Actually eating it with the rice was my favorite part! I was surprised by the shells on more than just the tails of the garlic shrimp. Still tasty.

We didn't want to wait in line for Giovanni's truck so we chose Big Wave instead and I'm so glad we did! It was one of my favorite meals of the trip. I ordered the classic garlic butter shrimp and my boyfriend got the spicy shrimp. I'm picky with how my shrimp is cooked and it was perfect. I think it's a good amount of food for the price as well.

I ordered the peeled garlic shrimp — it was such a treat not having to peel them myself! However, the flavor didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The truck appears to use jarred minced garlic instead of fresh slices, and the butter sauce leaned more oily tasting than buttery. My husband ordered the steak - and for a shrimp truck, it was better than my order! Still, it was a convenient stop and the shrimp were cooked well.

Burgers were amazing, friendly staff! Gal at the bar was very friendly and running the bar like a champ! Order accuracy at the kitchen level was terrible, person taking our order got it right as she confirmed and shown on screen and receipt but our food was wrong. 2x burger with avocado bacoda or some like that, no cheese no onion on both but they both had onion and cheese. We ordered tots but got fries. Still everywhere was delicious and thank you for responding to make it right! If we are visiting Honolulu anytime soon, I'll reach out! 🙏

First time coming here, was recommended by several friends when I asked where to get a good cheeseburger. I went to the location in Haleiwa, I was not disappointed, food was delicious. I ordered a combo, bacon cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, very juicy, fries were hot and crispy, burger was excellent, with a iced tea. Television sets all over, it was Monday night so there was football and also the world series was on. I enjoyed the visit and look forward to bringing my wife back soon. I would recommend this place. A little pricey but what do you expect in Hawaii. Enjoy!

When you walk in there are two ways to place your order. 1) order from the front counter they will give you your cup and you grab your own beverage from their beverage station. Then wait for your number to be called. 2) OR if you are looking for a nice cold beer to go with your amazing burger, and can grab a seat at the bar, DO IT! The bartender we had was so personable! AND they will take your order there! You won’t have to take a number and wait for it to be called. Luckily we were early enough to be able to grab seats at the bar. Their burgers are delicious! Nice grilled flavor, meaty, and all around AMAZING! Make sure you have lots of napkins! These burgers are no joke! Accompany your burger with a basket of fries, tots, or onion rings. If you’re looking for a serious burger on your way to the north shore stop at Teddy’s!

LOVE this cute coffee shop, the decoration, and the drink options were very good. I got the Da Kine Ice coffee because a friend of mine recommended and I am glad I listened to him cause it was super good, hubby got the Coconator since he loves coconut but he didn't like it, it did not taste like coffee in it more like milk with flavor. Overall, he had a great experience, an absolutely beautiful shop.

Selling their brand name coffee in the main store with a side area of plenty screened indoor & outdoor seating. The espresso won’t blow your socks off but you can’t beat the price & atmosphere. Lots of variety of baked goods with both vegan and GF options. I recommend for the great patio atmosphere 🤙🏼

Coffee were great! We ordered hot coconuts latte, cappuccinos and an Açaí bowl, all tasty. We also really enjoyed the gifts shopping here, got a couple coffee mugs home and enjoyed our 🐓 🐥 🐥 companies.

Just checked this out while waiting for our brunch food to be served nearby and i was surprised by how good their coffee is! I also got some chocolates and they were good as well! Coffee price are not too bad although the chocolates were kinda pricey

We absolutely loved this spot while visiting Oahu. Besides good coffee, a very cute shop, yummy baked goofs & the sweetest staff, what I enjoyed the most was the beautiful area they have next door to relax and enjoy your goodies. Beautiful murals in gorgeous lush surroundings. I didn't find a nicer coffee shop setting while on the island. I could have sat around all day. You can sit inside or outside, both are great. There's also some seating right out front on picnic tables. They have the cutest little coffee bean plushy mascot (more on that later). My husband had some espresso & I enjoyed a latte. I also tried a macadamia lilikoi bar. It was delicious and reminded me of a tart. I wasn't paying attention to it while talking to my hubby, and a local chicken got to it, so I recorded a few of its little pecks before getting removing it, but it was delicious while it lasted. My husband says they were also playing great music and he really enjoyed it. I really appreciated that they had a lot of sampler bags to pick from. We bought several to try when we got back to the mainland, and we loved them all. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a good coffee shop on the North side of the island. After trying all the samples we got while on the island, I picked my favorite blend and decided to order some from their website to have at home. I placed the order and was shocked at how quickly it was delivered, especially around the holidays. I ordered the big bag of my favorite and also ordered a sample size of the Christmas blend. I was so surprised and the love & care that went into the package that I received at home. It reminded me of my experience on the island and brought it all back to us. What an awesome way to connect people back to those memories! Kuddos to Coffee Gallery & their staff. There was a handwritten thank you note inside, along with a free sample bag of their Ha espresso blend (which my husband loved when he had it at the shop), a Coffee Gallery tote, a Keychain, AND one of their little coffee bean mascot plushies! I told you more to come on that. While there, I REALLY wanted to buy one because they were so darn cute, I LOVE coffee & thought it would look really cute in my coffee corner at home. But, I didn't buy it and regretted it when I got home & didn't have this cute little guy in my coffee spot. Well, they solved that problem for me! Will keep visiting every time we go back. Great place to grab some Hawaiian breakfast - eggs with spam, banana pancakes Portuguese sausage and waffles. I had an omelette with bacon, cheese and asparagus. The French toast was a little tough on the crust. The food was delicious. The service was friendly. No team bathroom - a porta potty.

Always one of our stops up to North shore Food is delicious, prices are very reasonable, especially considering it's North shore. This time went with a local Portuguese omelette and the breakfast in a barrel. Service is always kinda slow, but they make everything fresh so it's really not bad considering.

We are a group of 6 ppl, we came here during the week for breakfast around 10am. You order at the counter then they give you a number to place on your table that you choose to sit at. We were served our food within 20 mins of ordering. Food tasted average. Customer service was very nice. Atmosphere was nice, bathroom is a port a john that is outside. Small parking lot in the back, we had to park down the street.

The whole time I've been here in Oahu I've been mostly unimpressed with the food. I wouldn't even say this cafe is truly impressive, but I would throw my life on the line to say it's solid as hell. Everything on this island is tourist thirsty in my experience so far, and that's probably because so many people are vying for the same attention and profit tourism brings. You can't really blame em, but that's a whole nother story. But not this place. It felt like a regular cafe/diner situation. The girl working the register had sweetheart pouring off of her, which was also nice. It felt genuine. Im tempted to say the food was terrible just to keep other folks from ruining it for me next time I want to swing by, but that would be a sacrilege to this fine establishment. The food was good. The price was good. The staff were good. If you want to complain about the parking then stay home. It sucks everywhere here so get used to it. Me and my wife got the spam and eggs local. It was good. 5/5 goldblooms

We ordered Eggs Benedict, good portion for reasonable price, but food was served on paper plates and Hollandaise sauce tasted like cheap unsalted mayo.

Café Haleiwa is a casual spot in Haleiwa on Oahu's North Shore, known for its breakfast and brunch with local flavors. We visited for lunch after golf and it was very busy. We tried the Loco Moco, which was excellent, and their bottled fresh juice, which was good. The Lion coffee wasn't as strong as I would have liked, but it was decent. However, the porta-potty was in terrible condition—smelly and dirty, so we ended up going to Starbucks to use the restroom.

Great local vibe with amazing fresh food and quaint relaxing atmosphere. A must try on the north shore. Perfect place for a quick breakfast before hitting the beach but also a nice place to relax and enjoy a dine in meal.

I ordered a gluten free sandwich from this restaurant March 9th. Since they had a TON of gluten free items on the menu, I was not worried about anything at all. They had signs about potential cross contamination, but that isn't a big deal for my allergy. My issue arises when I consume gluten items. I was given a table marker, and I went outside to sit with my group of friends. The man (manager with lightning on his face) who took my order, brought me my food. Given that he was the one that took my order, I didn't question it. I started eating my sandwich and after almost eating half of it... a waitress comes out to our table. My friend still hadn't gotten his food. She said "gluten free *sandwich name*". I was the only one eating gluten free in our group. I quickly realized what had happened and told her that was supposed to be mine... but someone had apparently brought me someone else's order without checking the table markers properly. She didn't care. She put the plate down and walked away, didn't offer to take it away, refund, or anything. I went inside and asked for a refund for at least my sandwich. No one could help me it seemed. People kept calling for help at the register, and eventually the manager came up and called the owners of the restaurant. The girl who walked away from me- came up to the register and said "Can we just give her cash so she can get out of here?" There was not a hint of kindness or sympathy in her tone. My mouth dropped open.. and she looked at me and said "well if you're feeling that sick don't you want to go home?". I didn't get her name, but she had a shaved head, hair had slightly grown in and was brown/darker color. She was more on the thinner side. I wasn't going to leave a review for the mess up... even though I spent hours in the bathroom in severe pain for this careless mistake... but that woman's behavior alone led me to make this review. The manager with lightning on his face was right there on the phone when she said it, and he didn't say a word. It was extremely disrespectful and very inconsiderate considering it was the staffs mess up. I'm very thankful I am not severely allergic to gluten or this could've resulted in a much worse outcome. People can literally sue over things like this happening... especially if they have a more severe allergy than I do. I was told my refund "should process" but they wouldn't provide me a receipt of any kind or even verify my order number. I truly wish I had a better experience here, but hopefully this review helps someone be more cautious about checking what they are served here before eating it. I appreciate having availability of vegan food. It's been tough to find vegan food, and it be better than decent. I had a strawberry banana smoothie that was not hitting my taste buds correctly. The chocolate cake is great. My mouth watering for another bite as I'm typing this lol.

We stopped by on the way to north shore. We ordered one green bowl and one yogi bowl for takeaway. Both were good. For green bowl, it’s probably the best (tasty) way to consume spirulina. I really liked the Yogi bowl. Had it at the beach. It was still quite tasty after a couple of hours. I would love to go back to try other dishes.

Awesome vegan options! So many healthy and minimally processed options! I could really taste the fresh ingredients -- I believe that many of them are locally sourced. Idyllic and peaceful dining area with free parking in the back. Definitely stop in to feel good inside and out! Your body will thank you for it.

This spot makes some great vegan breakfast food and I’m not even a vegan! My wife (a vegan) found this cafe through other online vegan bloggers and the food did not disappoint. We came twice during our week stay on the north shore. I had the McJagger (vegan version of McDonald’s egg McMuffin sandwich) which was awesome and my wife had the veggie burger and banana pancakes. She loved both orders— I tried her pancakes and they were so good and came with some fresh fruit. And according to my wife, they make a killer vegan dessert treat too! The staff is super friendly and the vibe inside is very chill. A tip, if you want to eat in peace, stay inside— the chickens outside appear to be extremely hangry. Will definitely be back to Beet Box when we return to the island.

Loved our lunch here! They are known for their beet burger, which was great, but the three little birds sandwich was our favorite. The sauce and the bread really made it. Also highly recommend the peanut butter cookie.

The flavors of the shaved ice here are delicious. I got a large and shared it with my two kids, and it was plenty big. My husband got the rootbeer float shake, and we were both obsessed with it, and still talk about how delicious that was now, a month later. Great place to visit if you're in the area. We did struggle to find parking. We ended up parking a bit away and walking to the place. In my opinion it was worth the effort though.

Had an outstanding time in this location. Service was excellent and the shave ice was great. We ended up getting two keiki specials, a rainbow (large with vanilla icecream) and a Volcano (large with icecream and beans). There was no lines when we came here and had to park in the parking lot across the street. Overall, nothing to complain about here!

Hole in the wall type place and very delicious, no need to be making line across the street. This shave is so good! Add all the toppings, those are yummy, too.

Hubby and I were in the North Shore downtown area and wanted to try something different than the ever famous Matsumotos, and Aoki's was recommended on Amanda & Felix's YouTube channel. We got the North Shore shave ice (mango, lilikoi, guava with li hing mui) and added mochi. The flavors went well together and weren't overly sweet. Only thing was that the mochi wasn't as soft as other places. The staff were friendly and they have a nice patio area with holders to enjoy your treat. Try them out if you're in the area!

My family and I really enjoyed our experience here. I have always been one to stick to places that I really enjoyed in the past. This way, I know I will get great food and service. However, one of my daughters insisted we try Aoki's Shave Ice, so we agreed. This was the first time for most of my family, and all of us really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this spot! The shave ice and toppings are amazing, and the price is reasonable.

Spaghettini was a surprise gem on the north shore. We ordered a bunch of food for a family of 5 which came to $65 dollars which is really affordable for the area. The food came out blazing hot and delicious. The pizza was crisp with a little bit of NY Style greasy cheese on top. The slice was BIG, the perfect size for folding. The cheese steak was definitely not authentic to Philly, but its the best one I've had on the island. I say that not to take anything away from it, it stands well on its own. A suggestion would be to offer a pizza steak and throw some of that delicious marinara over the meat and cheese on top. We got three kids meals which had the appropriate amount of food for my two older kids and enough for my 4 year old to have some to go! I'm not the terminator, but ill be back!

This place is fine. Big portions, good spot for a quick and filling meal. I had a slice of pizza for like $7, it's haleiwa so what're you gonna do. My friends ordered pasta and it comes in a plastic takeout container which is great if you are going to spend all day exploring North Shore.

Food is poor. Pizza was boring. Over priced. Philly cheese steak sub was hard and they added horseradish sauce to the mayonnaise and meat mixture. Unable to eat it. I expected a Philly sub. Not posted as to anything different. Disappointing to say the least.

During my recent visit, a power outage limited the menu to just pizza. Although the pizza was served hot, it was a pretty basic slice of pizza. There's only a small outdoor seating area. Prices are reasonable, making it a decent option for families with younger kids. Despite the circumstances, the cashier was friendly and tried to accommodate us as best as possible.

Great service, quick and pleasant. We ordered two spaghetti dishes - bolognese and pesto cream souse. They both were great. The bolognese is 100% beef and it comes with cheese. The dishes came with bread. There are 2 sizes to the dishes. The small one was really big and satisfying. Should be note that the pizza also looked great. There is parking lot for free. There is washrooms in the place. Highly recommended.

Great spot for some quality gelato! I got the waffle cone dipped in chocolate with cheesecake and Snickers—so good. My boyfriend had the waffle cup with Kona coffee and cookie dough, and everything was absolutely delightful. For a Friday night, it wasn’t too busy, which made the experience even better. The space was clean, trendy, and super cute. We’ll definitely be coming back!

If you're looking for Gelato, this is your place. They have a good supply of different flavors ready for you to experience. The staff were friendly and quick to take our orders. I enjoyed a scoop of Kona and scoop of peanut butter chocolate. Yummy! The place was clean. They had indoor or outdoor seating as well. There were chickens as well as a resident cat sleeping on the bench. Some of the chickens can be a little territorial.

Cute location with a comfortable vibe. All the staff were super friendly and helpful when my daughter and I were trying to pick out our Gelato for our acai bowls. The Gelato is amazingly delicious!! So yummy!

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is always top-notch, the workers are always incredibly friendly. The store manager, Jacinda, has even published a coloring book, which kept my daughter entertained while we waited for our hot food. The banana bread is super delicious, and I couldn’t resist adding a scoop of vanilla gelato on the side. It was the perfect combo! This has quickly became my favorite brunch spot. I highly recommend this place!

Best garlic shrimp I’ve ever had! The shrimps are bigger than the most popular place. I had the garlic shrimp and my husband had the spicy shrimp. Perfectly cooked and delicious! Also, BTS members ate here.

Hono’s Food Truck is a must try if you’re in the area. We had the garlic shrimp and the kalbi, both were incredibly flavorful and came in generous portions. Every bite was packed with taste, and it was absolutely worth it!

So originally i came to this area for another food truck. I ended up getting plates from both trucks, hands down .. honos is way better. The portions are better, the taste is amazing and the customer service is 100% there. They are cash only so come prepared, but the prices are better and the food is mouth watering! Also 5 shrimp for an extra $3, amazing!

Great food and service! If you’re looking to try a shrimp truck with more unique flavors, try their spicy (gochujang) garlic shrimp! I’ve been a few times and they never disappoint—portions are generous and flavorful. The #8 combo (shrimp + Kalbi) is my go-to. Heads up: it’s cash only, and the seating is reserved for Honos customers so you should be able to find a nice spot near the truck. Also, BTS has eaten here too! :)

Honos shrimp provides great plump shrimp but lacking in flavor in multiple aspects. The garlic had no flavor and was just there for texture. The shrimp although very plump and cleaned well had very little shrimp taste even with garlic on it. Maybe some salt or lemon could've revived it but lacked any garlic and shrimp flavors.

This is the best food truck on island and we’ve tried them all. We’ve been eating here for twenty years. I think the other shrimp truck in the lot must pay for advertising because it’s always crowded but their food is sad and gross by comparison! Hono’s is cash pay only. Shrimp are large, cooked to perfection. Plate comes with two scoops of rice and cole slaw with a sweet sauce that’s heavenly. LOVE the garlic!

Came for the food not the atmosphere. The fried garlic and salt shrimp was the bomb!! It’s way better than the sautéed garlic shrimp. The kalbi and chicken thighs were good. I enjoyed this spot better than the shrimp trucks.

Hawaiian food done right, compared to L & L we frequented in Chesapeake, VA and Concord, NC. Real deal Lau Lau and good Mac salad. Can't beat true Hawaii made food. Restaurant served drinks in biodegradable paper cups and drink straw. Little pricey but, that was expected being in Hawaii.

Wonderful barbecue at a wonderful place. Everything was so tasty and I particularly appreciated the order kiosk so I can avoid human interaction as much as possible. I guess that's just the Limmy in me. I recommend this place!

Haleiwa LnL is the best LnL! They make the best French fries. Chicken or fish sandwich combo is the best. Garlic chicken, garlic shrimp and also my favorites and healthy style options. And use the app for rewards points to get free food.

Had the short ribs, they where tough,the cheap plastic that you get can't cut thru them. But the flavor was good.

Just left and already can’t wait to go back! Everything we tried—from the cocktails to the food—was absolutely amazing. Seth, the head bartender, kept surprising us with creative cocktails and had excellent food recommendations. The décor added to the experience, creating a fantastic vibe that made the night even better. We’ll definitely be back soon. Pro tip sit at the bar and ask the bartender food and drink recommendations.

We got there right as they opened at 5. It was obvious that there were a lot of locals there. Everyone seem to know everyone. The hostess was very friendly and we genuinely felt like part of their family. We were quickly served waters. There's a happy hour during the week. We ordered a delicious drink special and a nice cold beer. Ordered some roasted peppers, potatoes and cauliflower. All were delicious in their own unique ways. There's a small bar inside as well as some tables but the best tables are outside.

Maya’s recently changed their menu and while fresh & new items are great, I feel some of the value for food has decreased. We usually go for the happy hour menu and noticed happy hour pricing has gone up for the food. I understand there’s inflation but if you’re gonna charge more at least keep the food quality and value the same. What was the Patatas Bravas is now French fries (frozen) slathered with the sauce they put on the patatas bravas tapas plate. The previous dish was $7 and just a mini version of the full size tapas plate with cubed potatoes. So the menu changed for an inferior dish and the price is now $10. We also ordered the fried chicken pieces with some micro greens and sauce off the Happy Hour menu. This was also $10 and pretty delicious. Lastly, we ordered the braised short rib with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The short rib was perfectly cooked and fall apart tender. The dish also had a Demi glace sauce that was overly salty. We are disappointed that some of the value for the food has gone down.

The sauce had a subtle flavor that complemented the lobster without overpowering it, and each bite seemed to intensify the flavors in a delightful way. So My Brother And I Decided To Give Maya's A Try, Well We Left Before Ordering Because Of Very Rude Actions From The Server And The Bar Tender. So My Brother And I Decided To Go To Stonefish And The Wait Staff Bartender Food And Atmosphere Is Always Exceptional And Friendly. I Don't Recommend Maya's Unless You Enjoy Being Treated Rudely. Stonefish Is Your Go To For Exceptional Service And Great Food And Libations. Sincerely Advid Diner.

Decent restaurant with a very friendly staff. Some choices were a hit or a miss on the lunch menu. Kids meals were a little pricey for what we got, but overall it was a fun environment for them. Just the right noise level that they weren’t disturbing others. I got the seafood chowder and it was the highlight of the meal. We also tried the Chicken Caprese Sandwich and the Fish and Chips. Both of which weren’t great. The kids mac and cheese was very good. The staff was also friendly. I will say, of the options over here, this is a decent choice, but nothing inspiring.

Cannot say enough good about this restaurant. I ordered a seafood omelet, my wife got the Malasada pancakes and we split a fresh fruit bowl. This meal might have been the best breakfast we have ever had. We love trying new little breakfast places and this one takes the cake! Everything about it was fantastic! Service was informative and helpful. Our food was made quickly and we had great view of the streets during the quiet morning.

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was not busy, it was nice. We were seated immediately, atmosphere was nice, kinda surprised, from the outside you would never know how nice it is on the inside. We have walked by many times but never came in to eat. The service was excellent, we started with the calamari for appetizers , good flavor but very tough, I couldn't chew it, seams like it wasn't very fresh. We had to send it back and ordered the garlic shrimp instead. This dish was very good. The manager brought over the shrimp and asked about the calamari, we explained how it was very tough. She removed it off our bill and also gave us ten percent of the entire bill. My wife ordered the prime rib, comes with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. I ordered the fillet mignon , comes with noodles and vegetables. Meat was cooked perfectly, medium, everything could have used a bit more seasoning but it was good. I think everything was a little too expensive, even for Hawaii. I don't think we will come back, mostly because of the price.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in all of North Shore, Haleiwa! We came for lunch and got to sit outside, which made the whole experience feel fresh. The staff was super attentive, especially our server Jose, who kindly seated us and gave us some great recommendations. We had the clam chowder, beet salad, and fish and chips, right on point, Jose! Lol. Highly recommended! Just a small heads-up: we did notice quite a few bees around, so if you’re allergic, keep that in mind

Fantastic. Every time we’ve been here we’ve had such a great experience. The food is so good and the atmosphere is incredible. It’s the perfect place for a special occasion, date night or a night out with family/friends. My whole family loves Stonefish grill and no matter what we’ve ordered everything has been so delicious!! We also have ordered pick up to go and has still been an incredible experience. So bomb!

Food was ok, the calamari appetizer was a little soggy, and the prime rib, while tasty, had a huge fat cap on it which doesn't quite make it a 14 oz prime rib.

If you are thinking about trying out Jax, stop thinking and just go. They were very friendly and the service was super fast. We arrived around 7pm on a Friday night and someone was ordering when we walked in. There were also a couple of tables waiting for their food spreads so I expected at least a 30 minute wait, but it was maybe 10 or 15 at the very most. We ordered 2 pizzas and the goat cheese honey bread sticks (sounds questionable but they are amazing!!). My pizza came out before the bread sticks which I thought odd, but wasn’t a big deal because it all came out within minutes of each other. The ingredients are fresh and definitely taste like high quality ingredients; particularly the cheese. These pizzas definitely rivaled any pizza we had while in Europe and Italy. The only reason for 1 star removed is because they are a little pricey. But it’s completely on par with most Hawaii pricing. We didn’t try the cannoli, but only because we said we will order it next time we will go. So even though it’s pricey, we will absolutely go back! Wanted to add after telling husband I was leaving a review- he said that the customer service is the best we’ve seen in the island. The gentlemen helping us seemed truly happy to have us visit. They truly seemed like some of the most genuine people on the island!

This is the best pizza I ever tasted. You're definitely got to come here I got the number three and I got the number 10. We also got a salad we really enjoyed it we're definitely coming back tomorrow.

Hands down the best pizza at North Shore! The crust is perfectly fresh and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The toppings are fresh and generous, special mention fresh spicy jalapeno. The staff is friendly and service is always prompt. Highly recommend Jax Pizza for a delicious meal. Jax have vegan options too.

I know it’s hard/easy to say… but this is the best pizza I’ve ever had, so good!!! The vibes are great too, lively and fast paced. The staff is amazing, super chill dudes who asked how everything was tasting and made sure we were happy. Super kind, super respectful. Love it. Keep it up guys!!!

This was the best pizza I've had in a long time! Being from NY, you tend to become a bit of pizza snob. I had never had pizza on a sourdough crust before. It was excellent! My friend and I split a mushroom pizza with arugula and a classic margarita pie. Both pies were delicious! The owners and staff were really cool and stopped by our table a few times to make sure we were enjoying our food and experience. In NY we use an expression "Love in the Pie". There is is definitely "Love in the pie" at Jax. I'm glad we stopped here for dinner before we headed back to the other side of the island. Peace! Steve from NY

Someone told us to check out Jax while we were on the North Shore, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much… but wow, this place delivered. We got Da Kine (basically a meat lover’s dream with shredded pork, sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and fresh basil), and it was so good. The sourdough crust could’ve been a little crispier on the bottom, but the toppings totally made up for it. Super clean spot, super nice staff, and our pizza hit the table in under ten minutes. Definitely one of those “why didn’t I know about this sooner?” kind of finds.

Possibly the best poke I’ve ever had. They also had everything marked gluten free which was perfect for me. I got to have gf seaweed salad which is rare! I had the wasabi masago ahi as my protein, and the flavor was unreal. Even had gluten free soy sauce! Would recommend anyone coming here! You can tell by the line and steady stream of people that this place is awesome.

Poke for the People is hands down the best poke spot ever! The fish is always super fresh, the flavors are amazing, and the portions are generous. Every bowl tastes like it’s made with love — truly my favorite place to eat poke! If you love poke, this place is a must-try! 🐟💛 You have to find parking on a street or somewhere but it’s always easy to find a spot.

So glad we stop by this place. They had a special scallops Wasabi with crabs and I got to have a taste before making the decision. It was so good. I love the creativity of their pokes. Staffs are friendly and patient. Will return for sure.

Had a few poke bowls around town and came back twice to Poke For The People. Obviously the food was perfect, what I loved even more was the chill vibe. On the walls are photography works by the legend Arto Saari, if you skateboard you'll appreciate this ;) The ahi is fantastic, can't go wrong with any flavor mix. Everything was fresh and the portion was enough for my wife and I to share one bowl. Shout out to boss man for hooking it up with the tastiest BBQ beef <3

Must visit Poke restaurant in the North Shore. Excellent Poke, super friendly staff and overall great experience. Got the Shoyu Ahi and Hamachi 2 choice poke bowl salad with seaweed and pickled cucumber. Shoyu Ahi is the recommendation from others’ reviews and well-earned. Tender, flavourful with a good portion. Hamachi with sesame special was also excellent. Special call out to the cucumber salad (namasu?). Great crunch still on thinly sliced cucumber with a touch of acidity and sweetness. To anyone looking for the “Goma”. It is discontinued as the manufacturer for the “secrets ingredient” stopped making that particular item. They are for a substitute but Goma is off the menu for now. Super friendly staff, really made the experience lovely. Parking in the back, don’t park out front like a jerk please.

Best poke we had on the island! So glad we stumbled across this place while we were checking out the area. Delicious, so fresh, and so many options. Staff are so friendly!

Food is excellent, lots of choices for fish and for sides as well. They also have some other options besides poke. Reasonably priced for how delicious it is. Restaurant space is a little small but well located, not a whole lot of parking in front but there is some down the street

I visited on August 10, 2025. It’s great that the dish comes with a salad! I felt like it could have used a bit more lemon. The sauce, which reminded me of sriracha mayo, paired really well. I would have preferred white rice instead of French fries.

Hands down one of the best seafood meals I've ever had! I ordered the combo with mahi and beer-battered crispy shrimp, and asked if they could substitute the fried fish for grilled instead. They were happy to accommodate, and the fish came out grilled to perfection--charred just right on the outside and juicy in the middle. The plate also came with their homemade chili and aioli sauce, which was absolutely amazing--creamy, tangy, and packed with flavor. Even the side salad of mixed greens was fresh and a nice balance to the seafood. I prefer more items on the salad like tomatoes, cucumber or shredded carrots. The service was just as good as the food. The front desk lady who took my order was communicative, attentive, and had such a great attitude. She even checked with the chef to make sure my substitution was possible. There are a few chairs and tables set up in front of the food truck where you can sit and enjoy your meal, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you're in Oahu and would like to try some quality seafood!

Food was incredible! We ordered the fish and chips and coconut shrimp and being from the UK where fish and chips are our bread and butter we weren't too sure what to expect. Mahi tastes way nicer than cod and the coconut shrimp were incredible! And it was reasonably priced!

Stopped by here on a quiet Monday night around 7, plenty of parking right nearby. We both had the Mahi fish+chips full portion. Absolutely fantastic, nice crispy batter. Fresh Mahi, and good chips. Super reasonable prices too, full Mahi+chips plate pictured here was $15. 10/10, will definitely come back

Haleiwa seafood truck was great. The menu has a verity of food to try. I had the shrimp tacos they were awesome. If your on the North Shore and are getting hungry stop by, you won't be disappointed

Food was very delicious, drinks were great as well, we had the Fried Ahi Plate and the Calamari and would definitely eat here again! Didn’t expect this when we got there tbh but in that case don’t let the first impression guide you. Very affordable as well.

This place seriously has some of the best açaí bowls on the island—super fresh and paired with juices that don’t have any weird additives. The team there is super friendly, and they’re not just great with people—they’re awesome with pets too. I had my dog with me when I ordered, and while we were hanging outside, one of the employees came over and brought a water bowl for him. Little things like that really stick with you. It’s just one of those spots where you and your pup both feel genuinely welcomed.

Had the steak sandwich and it was AMAZING. Highly highly recommend. It was expensive but totally worth it.

I tried the turkey pesto croissant, 👌very delicious. We also got some of the GF bread for another sandwich and it was decent so it’s nice to have that option. I came when it was super rainy so the outdoor seating was a little uncomfortable but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall I’d definitely come back and I’d recommend you give it a try!

I typically order the Caprese Panini and a fresh juice. I have never been disappointed from any of the Nalu franchise on Oahu! I absolutely love the quality of food & service! I know when I come here, I will be getting something Healthy, Tasty and filling!

Very good Acai Bowl. Ordered the Nalu Bowl and the combinations of taste, texture and temperature could not have been more perfect. I added some peanut butter for some protein and while it was not "warm" or "cold" it had the most amazing taste and texture when added to the bowl. This truly was an incredible balance of ingredients. I plan to try replicating this when I get home to St. Louis but think it will be very challenging. Do not miss this place if you are in the area.

We had Juices there twice (so 4 juices) but they are very watery. So it feels like you only get 1/2 juice and the rest is water. The first day we had a juice with ice. So a few days after we ordered one without ice which then was filled up with water instead of ice - way too expensive for 13 dollars.

Great little healthy Cafe. I stumbled on it by accident and thought I would see how it was. I am very glad I found this and stopped back a couple more times with my wife and her sister, who was visiting. She loved her sandwich and also left a great review. The service was fantastic and so friendly. I will be stopping in every time I am in Haleiwa!

There are of course much more interesting local coffee roasters in the immediate area, but sometimes you need old reliable. I liked the Hawaiian merchandise that they're displaying and this store has a beautiful couple murals. There is one small restroom here so you might have to wait. McDonald's up the road is a similar situation.

Swung by on our way back to Waikiki, wanted something on the drive back and kids had to use the restroom. The very "courteous" young lady Barista's curt comment, "restrooms are for customers only, I can give you a code only if you buy something" , without even asking my order. Thank you for being rude. Restroom was filthy, code is 13579 (all odd). Mahalo...!! :)

I love this starbucks but i do go to the new one in waipo more due to it us less crowed and much bigger and really nice. The crew is always great at rhus starbucks too.

The Starbucks is extremely busy please leave enough time for them to make your drinks. Service is very good and my coffee tasted exactly the same as on the mainland.

Easily the best pizza we’ve found on the island thus far. Friendly staff, great spot near the small boutiques. Love the sourdough.. it makes for the perfect crust. They sold out Saturday night so be sure to stop by for lunch or early evening.

The crust, soooo perfect. We got the goat cheese and the fungi both were amazing but the standout was definitely the goat cheese pizza. It’s cooked to perfection with a great char on the crust and everything is super fresh and ono.

I ordered the Honey Goat and I added bacon, it was AMAZING! I also got to try the orange slush and the local honey they put on top is perfection. Definitely will be coming back to try the coffee slush! The staff was super friendly and I love that they had tables with shade so you don’t have to take your food somewhere else to enjoy it.

Honestly one of the better pizzas I’ve had before. The sourdough is so unique and really digestible. I usually feel bloated after lots of dough/bread, but not here. You can feel it when people use good ingredients. Props to you guys I’ll be coming back often.

I didn’t think I’d get such great pizza out of a food truck in Hawaiian but this is an excellent Neapolitan place. A lot of flavor selection, great slushies/ice, and friendly staff! I highly recommend and would stop again the next time I head to the north shore.

One of my favorite places on North Shore to get a sweet treat. They have a unique way of serving the ice cream so it’s a place I recommend to everyone. They let you choose the type of ice cream and a fruit, then they put it through a funnel press which pushed the ice cream fruit mixture into a cup or cone. The result is a frozen yogurt soft consistency but with an ice cream rich flavor. If you have a food allergy, they also make sure not to use the same press for non berry and berry fruits.

One man, 2 scoops. One waffle cone at a time, slaying through a line of hungry, sun‑kissed souls like it was nothing. The line looked intimidating, but blink twice and suddenly I was holding the best ice cream + waffle cone combo of my life. Hunter deserves a medal, a vacation, and maybe a statue in front of Sweet As. He kept the vibe light, the line moving, and every customer walking away smiling (and let’s be real, probably drooling a little). The ice cream? Creamy perfection. The waffle cone? Crispy, golden aloha in edible form. Together? A love story Shakespeare could never write. Mahalo, Sweet As, you’ve officially ruined all other ice cream for me. I’ll be back, probably too often.

Loved the story of this family and their ice cream! Thank you for taking this naturally flavored fruit ice cream concept from New Zealand to Oahu. The fruity flavors were so fresh and refreshing. We got the strawberry and mango and loved them both. The gal making orders was still kind and quick late into her shift, even with a long line at the end of the night. Nice work!

Monday, 7/28/2025 - Tried "Sweet As Ice Cream co". Address is 62-620 Kamehameha Highway, Haleiwa, HI 96712. Small cute little ice cream shop using real fruits. We got coconut pineapple ice cream, strawberry banana ice cream, and strawberry vanilla ice cream and all were perfect. Wasn't over sweet. And you can taste the fruits in the ice cream. The young girl behind the counter was so patient with us as we were making our decision.

Mango vanilla ice cream was one of the best soft serves ive ever had. Sooo fresh and creamy. Long wait but so worth it! If you haven’t had real fruit soft serve definitely try

The ice cream was delicious, the atmosphere was very relaxed, and the service was great. The girls were very friendly, courteous, patience and respectful. We will definitely visit this spot again and recommend it to our friends.

Great family owned ice cream shop! They have vegan options available, make sure you let them know if it is for an allergen or of you want them to use a different machine to avoid cross contamination, and a monthly flavor. I'm away from the island now, and am craving their ice cream and will be a day one stop when I get back. They also have limited free toppings you can add, the chocolate topping is also dairy free.

I came here with high expectations. This restaurant is a Japanese fusion so I understand flavors will be more experimental. However, this review is for the terrible Yuca fries, Calamari and french fries, they were absolutely terrible, not fresh (they were clearly old and warmed, therefore the deep oily taste). Ceviche was good but don't expect the Peruvian flavor here. Lomo Saltado was good but not memorable. Service was slow, the waitress was rushing us with the check without asking us if we wanted something else, and in fact we wanted dessert. The flan was good and that gets 2 stars. Overall very disappointing based on the high and not justified prices. I would not recommend it.

Highly recommend! The food is delicious, Haleiwa Shrimp (my favorite, they also have a food truck and I always order them), and Teriyaki Chicken were excellent! Pleasant atmosphere inside and wonderful polite service. We'll definitely come again!

Saw it while visiting the North Shore and decided to check it out. I am always looking for the best Lomo Saltado and there has been a few places that can really make it cause they don’t really take their time. No flames or stir fried is no saltado that’s my take. Every restaurant has their own style but this chef knows his craft. It was well balanced with portions, flavor and presentation. The only adjustment that I recommend is the cut of the beef needs to be thinner but other than it was juicy and delicious. Will return again next time I come back to Hawaii.

Went back to this place for a late lunch. We started with Pisco Sour - sooo good! Went for a Cilantro Hummus starter - very refreshing flavors! Try it! Entree was Lomo Saltado and Seafood Antecucho -- Oh my flavors! Postre- Peruvian Flan with ice cream on the side. The flan was not too sweat and the texture was like a custard cream cheese. Sooo good. I also feel like I could have had that with a Pisco Sour. Will try it next time.

This Peruvian restaurant seamlessly combines Japanese-inspired flavors. The cocktails, especially the Ajiroska, are truly delicious. Our selections—Seafood Anticucho Grill, Pork Belly Chicharron, and Fried Calamari—were all delightful and met our expectations.

My husband and I went to Aji Limo last weekend for dinner. This was our first visit there. It's a cute restaurant with clean and bright decor. I saw pictures of their ceviche, and I had to try it. It did not disappoint! The fish was very tasty. It came with sweet potato, taro chips, and fried calamari (extra charge). The calamari was good, but I would probably skip it next time. My husband got the steak. It was sliced and cooked with tomatoes, onions, and seasoned with shoyu which was really good. The plate comes with both rice and fries. I would have preferred rice OR fries (not both), and get a side vegetable dish instead just to balance things out. Two starches with the steak was just too much starch. I had the quinoa mushroom risotto and paid extra for seared fish. The bowl of quinoa risotto was really good. Very cheesy and generous amounts of mushrooms. The seared ahi was well seasoned and also a generous amount. They offered two different mocktails and both were delicious! We also got the flan for dessert. It was rich and not super eggy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. They were able to make some great recommendations and answer our questions. I did feel that the wait time for the food was a bit long, but I was happy that everything tasted great when we got it. I would definitely go back to try their other dishes on the menu.

My new favorite restaurant on the north shore! I had the Pacha Mama (I think) bowl and added steak to it and it was heavenly!! The calamari and seafood ceviche was also bomb. Martin, one of the owners, took care of us and was absolutely so personable and friendly. The white sangria pitcher was some of the best sangria I’ve had! Will absolutely return again.

I loved this place, the food was amazing!!! We went here one night and just stopped in and it was my favorite place to eat in Hawaii. The curry was so full of flavor and was a perfect sized portion. We also got the pad thai with chicken and it was awesome. This is a must visit location.

This is a review for the restaurant location not the food truck. After placing our orders, we waited about 30 minutes for our food. So, if you’re in a hurry, this isn’t the restaurant for you. Our food was flavorful and delicious. Fresh ingredients. One of the best Yam Nua beef salads I’ve had. The Thai iced tea was sweet and refreshing. After finishing our meal, we had difficulty with throwing away our containers since the trash cans were overflowing. Delicious food but the restaurant atmosphere needs some work.

The poor girl in front of us in line couldn't be bothered to wait for 15-20 min for her food and boy did she miss out! The girls helping us were very friendly and helpful in making a decision on our food. I got the shrimp curry and my wife got the chicken Pad Thai. Both were amazing! The medium spice was light on the curry & more spicy on the pad Thai, but the flavors we so good we didn't mind the spice. We will be back before our week in Hawaii is over!

This is the only food truck I've found on the North Shore that has vegan selections. The girls working there are so sweet and welcoming. They also included a special vegan sauce that normally doesn't come with the food. I got the vegan glass noddles and with the sauce they were delicious and just spicy enough. I also enjoy the location and set up of the food truck, it's very relaxing. I will continue to eat at this place every time I'm on the North Shore! :)

Easily the best food we had here - and it seemed much healthier than other restaurants. This food was some of the best Thai food I've ever had, even after going to Thailand. We had Thai basil fried rice with shrimp (the very best of everything), larb gai (always my go-to), and pad se ew. All of it was phenomenal.

I love this place! You can smell from foodland! The food is sooo savory and full of amazing flavors! I really like the basil shrimp fried rice, pad Thai and my favorite, the yum gai yang! This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to!

Took a while to get my banana. Was it worth it? We’ll see. Still waiting. The girl in the banana stand is doing a wonderful job. If you ask me, she is overworked. However… there is always money in the banana stand. Happy banana-ing!

I bought the Scout, which was a frozen chocolate dipped banana on a stick, and coated in crushed gram crackers and topped with melted marshmallows. It tasted just like a smore, a popsicle, and a banana, all in one. 🍌💯 I suggest that the owners implement payment with the Banano cryptocurrency.

It's ok. Bananas dipped in chocolate with toppings. Like alot of other things in theisland, high prices to account for the tourists.

Wow! Visiting Banazas was like a desert dream come true. Not only was the chocolate-and-toffee-covered banana delicious, but the staff are super super friendly and kind! Plus they have sweet holiday special flavors! I 100% recommend!

I must say this is the best desert on Oahu. The bananas are the perfect texture, not cold and not too soft. They make everything from order, meaning you get a fresh dipped banana every time. Their delicious delectable chocolate is to die for. I have an association and I am not afraid to say it. Go to bananza!

The BEST thing I’ve eaten in a long time! Tried three different flavors and have loved every combination they offer! This banana dessert will fill your tummy and make you want to come back every single day! We love Bananza!

Very basic. Nothing spectacular. We expected more from what some of the reviews said. Potatoes were cold & over cooked. Crabcake seemed to be all batter. Waitress put out silverware on the table instead of on a napkin. Party of 2 seated about 20 mins after arriving. Had to wait another 10-15 just to place our order. Breakfast ends at 11:30am. Crowd died down afterwards.

Amazing service, clean restaurant, dog friendly. I had a bloody Mary. It came with bacon, pickles, olive, lemon and lime. You could choose to have it with habanero- infused vodka. My partner had a lava flow and mai tai. He assures me the lava flow was delicious and I can attest to the Mai tai. Only better one I've had was at Mama's Fish House on Maui. I had plantation tea with my meal, and as always, it didn't disappoint. Our appetizer was crab cakes... massive Crab cakes, served with chipotle tartar sauce and a papaya salsa. I cannot stress how good these were! I had pork adobo with rice, mac salad, and fresh tossed salad. My partner had chicken Pasta.

Food and service we're great!!! It's a laid back atmosphere and very professional. My wife said the pulled pork was delicious and I had the best clam chowder on island. The refreshments speak for themselves, literally. 😎🤙

So far, I visited here three times. All servers were so sufficient and friendly. I still cannot decide my favorite .... tons of #glutenfree options. The bartender is a true pro. Also, if you don’t like chickens or mosquitos, stay inside. They are very covid safe ... with spacing, ventilating and cleaning. #supportlocalbusiness

It's been about 6 years since the last time I was there, but still good times. Try the poke appetizer, its enough food for 1. Have a bloody mary and relax. I cant believe they had to take down the surfboard with all the signed dollar bill artwork on there. My wife and I put one up there the day after we were married. Fire hazard my a**

The service was fine, not friendly but she did get us what we needed when we needed it. The food was not good. Over cooked or undercooked. Just awful. The sweet chili wings were plated pretty but thats where the good ends. They were undercooked and I'm not even sure what cut of meat they were... the fish and chips were overdone to the point they were inedible and the pizza tasted of a rejected frozen pizza, actually comparing them to a frozen pizza is probably an insult to all frozen pizzas. It. Was. Bad. Especially for an $80 meal

Lunch isn't served until noon on the weekend but the Bloody Mary was spot on, so I was occupied for the wait. Burger was ok, nothing special. They make a home-made pineapple sauce that amped the burger up, so that helped. Couple beside me had the fish tacos, they said they were good. Watch out for the birds and chickens cause they're friendly!

One of our most favorite places to eat ever! We lived in central Oahu until 2013 and would make the short drive here for the best sub sandwiches. My fave is the Ali’i. Their bread has the best flavor to it and all ingredients are so fresh for made to order sandwiches. Workers were always so friendly and skilled. We hope to go here on our next visit.

Only loses a star for the seating outside which is a little run down and needs some work but it doesn’t detract from the incredible food and kind staff. A must visit!

I had a disappointing experience with this place today. I ordered the Waimea which is Turkey, ham and salami. But all there was on the sandwich was one thin slice of turkey, ham and what tasted like bologna. Total ripoff. Jersey Mike’s is way better. I’m not some foolish tourist. I expected better.

It's a nice little sandwich shop that's been serving the North Shore for years. Good people making great sandwiches. The shop is a tiny hole in the wall and they only take cash. Parking is before the building, not after.

This is my wife and my favourite sandwich shop in the world. Every time we come to Hawaii we make sure we can get out to Haleiwa for a sandwich. The bread is so light and all the toppings are market fresh. Highly recommend the Papaya dressing to get the true Storto's experience. Don't be put off by the size...it is fresh and light and extremely moorish. Top Tip: Remember it is Cash Only!

Sandy's Sandwiches has the best sandwiches in Hawaii. Everything is fresh there and he makes it all himself. I had the chicken pesto and every ingredient tasted fresh and amazing (the avocados were magic). If you are looking for sandwiches, head over towards Shark's Cove and look for the truck!

This place is not overrated! Well worth it as the sandwiches are delicious. We got the last sandwich on the menu (though I can't recall the name and I'm sure the order changes) and the chicken curry. Both were awesome! I don't typically care for curry but it was very light. Very friendly owner and 5 well deserved stars.

The sign said the best burger on the North Shore and it may have been right. The burger was delicious! My wife had a salad that she really enjoyed as well. Glad we stopped there for lunch.

We tried the turkey brie sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Owner was friendly and really knows what he's doing with a sandwich! Definitely recommend trying it if you're by Sharks Cove!

The breaded shrimp served here are fairly tasty. We tried the fried shrimp and coconut shrimp. The batter was flavorful but the shrimp were a bit bland. The portions are decent.

Stopped here on the way to our ATV/Zipline experience and Zane's did not disappoint. Parking is a little challenging but we found a paid lot ($5) a block away. There was no line and no one at Zane's when we got there even though the area was pretty busy (it was about 12:15pm), but don't let that deter you. The lady helping us was very sweet and friendly. We got the pineapple coconut shrimp and the sweet Thai chili shrimp and both were great but the sweet Thai chili was outstanding. Would definitely go back to try other dishes.

Located in famous Hale'iwa food truck area Zane's Simply Shrimp was excellent. As a local for the past 18 years we've had our share of Garlic Shrimp plates all were good. But, Zane's fish & Chips is always well worth the drive from Ewa. The only drawback is the parking, which is challenge there is no getting around it. We ended up sharing a table with a family from Germany, now how cool is that on a Saturday afternoon lunch. You have to check out Zane's if your in the North Shore area. Bon Appetit

Yum! We got buttery garlic shrimp $17 for the entree and $2 for a can of soda. The garlic was not too overpowering, and the lemon on top was perfection. $2 parking.

Absolutely divine!! The pineapple coconut shrimp was heavenly. It's the best meal we've had in Oahu. The wait could be long because it's freshly fried on the spot but def worth the long wait!! We've had Giovanni's and others as well but this was by far the best

Decided to try a local food truck and glad we did. Food quantity and quality both great. Cooked perfectly and both the fried shrimp and fish were juicy. The hot and spicy shrimp also great as the sauce was so good we dipped our other items in it. Nice lady that works there too

Came back home from San Diego to Honolulu to visit for a week and hang out with family. First place I wanted them to take me was here where all the shrimp trucks were in the North Shore and boy have I been missing out. I chose Zane's. Pineapple and coconut shrimp and boy was it delicious The lady was so nice and so awesome and very friendly. The environment was great the vibe was good the weather was awesome and the food was absolutely delicious. I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

Nice picnic tables outside to eat at! We liked the shrimp we got coconut & spicy garlic! We preferred the coconut since it was perfectly crusted! Spicy garlic was yummy but not as good compared to the coconut! We liked the pineapple as well that came with the meal! Generous portions as well. Relatively fast service.

Jenny’s shrimp truck was amazing! Super garlic-y and the prawns were flavourful. The lines were not too short as well and it had a good seating area

Jenny's was THE best. I mean soo good, I drove up to the North Shore twice for their garlic shrimp plate. The flavor on the shrimp is insane. I feel like they pour over some of the garlic butter on the rice as well because it's so flavorful. I only wish they gave a bit more salad since I like having a side of some sort of vegg. There's lots of seating! Just note that the parking lot across the street is for the other trucks

There’s a lot of food truck options on the North Shore, but this is our go to on every visit. The original butter garlic shrimp (#1) is tasty and fresh. We also had the coconut shrimp which was crispy and perfectly done. Service is consistently friendly. Parking can be challenging as it’s in an old gas station lot and there’s a coffee shop next door (also very good!) that gets busy as well.

Wife was very excited about garlic shrimp and rice but we both did not enjoy it as much as it is hyped. We shared a butter garlic shrimp with rice. Shrimp itself didn’t have a whole lot of flavor and could have been more tender. Rice with garlic had nice flavor but nothing outstanding. Salad was refreshing in between the bites of shrimp and rice.

Nice food truck with great quality shrimp. Got the spicy shrimp. The texture and cook on the shrimp were well-prepared. Meaty and fresh shrimp. Sauce was mildly spicy, went well with the shrimp and the rice. Worth the visit if going to the North Shore.

Typical shrimp truck. Prices are not listed but each plate of shrimp is $20. The spicy garlic shrimp was OVERCOOKED and carried an overpowering, briny flavor—almost as if it had been sautéed in the very farm water it was raised in. The coconut shrimp, however, were okay. Tourists should know that none of these shrimp trucks actually serve shrimp sourced from Hawaiʻi.
