Hula Grill Kaanapali is a beachside eatery and bar that offers a relaxed atmosphere with pupu, fish tacos, tropical drinks, and live music. The restaurant features an authentic Hawaiian menu made with local ingredients and freshly caught seafood. Guests can enjoy the outdoor barefoot bar while taking in views of Molokai and Lanai beaches. The renowned Aloha Hour offers drink specials and a pupu menu with options like beef poke lettuce wraps and tandoori roasted shrimp.
Service was quick and friendly. Our server was nice and we talked about our tattoos. No wait to get in. We had the kapulu joe which was a sweet pulled pork sandwhich and ahi poke bowl. Both were delicious. Prices were pretty reasonable. It is located at whaler's village so the area is pretty happening during the day. It was pretty relaxed vibe with live music playing cover songs on the ukulele. It is definately a good spot to stop and grab lunch if you are shopping in the village or coming g back from a fishing or snorkeling outing.

Stopped by Hula Grill Kāʻanapali to catch the sunset and enjoy a drink and a bite. The vibe here is great — a big, lively restaurant that’s clearly very popular on the west shore of Maui. I ordered the ceviche and the fish & chips. The ceviche was fresh and tasty, but it’s a small portion, really just enough for one person. The fish & chips were okay, nothing particularly memorable. Overall, it’s a fun spot to grab a drink and some food while watching the sunset, but don’t come expecting an outstanding dining experience — the atmosphere is the main highlight here.

Thoroughly enjoyed both the dinner & brunch I had here. The crab Rangoons (dinner app) & avocado toast (brunch) were super satisfying & tasty. For being common menu items, both dishes had their own unique twist that I loved. Our waitresses were both very helpful & friendly. Great atmosphere. Love the barefoot sandy area. Amazing view as well!! Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere! A little loud , but there is a lot going on! Service was good , order a filet mignon which was good , the mashed potatoes were just okay , shrimp was perfect ! Overall we had a great experience! Probably would have order the fish next time !

We really enjoyed our dinner at Hula Grill in Kāʻanapali. It’s a large, lively restaurant with a great atmosphere, and the service was truly outstanding. Our waitress, Astrid, was amazing—so friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. She really made the experience memorable. We started with a couple of appetizers and drinks, but they were just okay. The cocktails were nothing special. The bread service was a big miss for us- it wasn’t even served warm, just room temperature. The ceviche was fine but not the best we had on the island. The entrées, however, completely won us over. We ordered the wood-fired local fish (mahi mahi or ono- can’t quite remember!) and it was phenomenal. The romesco it came with was delicious. The filet was also excellent- perfectly cooked and full of flavor. To top it all off, Astrid surprised us with their famous Hula Pie for dessert, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. Overall, despite a slow start with the appetizers, the exceptional service and amazing entrées made this a fantastic meal. Highly recommend!

As you see from one of my pictures there’s half cheeseburger, our waitress know what we was planning we picked one entree and one appetizer to share, I personally can’t eat much so I don’t like the feeling of overeating. So she asked us if we wanted the burger to be cuts in half and of course I said yes if that’s possible. I told our waitress that I don’t want cheese on the burger but it’s served with cheese but luckily I can scraped out pretty good from my burger, I’m not allergic to it I just don’t like the taste of the cheese. The Hula burger was really tasty.. we both really liked it, it was perfect! Coconut calamari was so so, not really a fan of it. Then we tried the Hula Pie, the Hula Pie was amazing! Our waitress was Amber F, at first impression she seems cold and a bit unfriendly but at the halfway through the end on our late lunch I found her she’s a sweetheart! Turns out I really happy and like her personality 🤙🏼

“A wonderful experience. The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the staff was warm and welcoming. The sunset ocean view was spectacular and added a calm, unforgettable beauty to the meal. The relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere made the visit even more enjoyable. A place I would gladly return to whenever I’m in Maui.”

Absolutely the best restaurant at Whaler’s Village. Great selection of fish and pork but the lobster is mouth watering delicious. We also had the focaccia bread and the spinach which made a fantastic meal. Great live music as well as a hula dancer on stage. Wonderful ocean views and lovely sunsets. Enjoy!!!

Restaurant
Leilani's on the Beach is a beachside restaurant with a focus on seafood and tropical drinks, offering a family-friendly atmosphere. Situated in the heart of Kaanapali's south beach, also known as Dig-Beach, it provides an elevated ocean view along the three-mile stretch of white sand where Hawaiian royalty used to surf and play traditional games.
We made a reservation in advance so they sat us upstairs, very nice view! Very quick, everything was very nice especially our server lady forgot her name but she was awesome! This place is good as it can be here!! We had a Maui fresh salad, Cesar salad, hummus, steaks, calamari, sea food pot and some fish dish and a pie! Very good!
Ana S — Google review
Had a lovely dinner for my partners birthday. We both had fish which was lovely and great and prepared well. They comped our desert for his birthday which was a lovely gesture. Great views of the ocean so if you can go for sunset it would be lovely. I’d say for the price they could work on the food presentation but a minor point really, it’s the taste that matters!
Charlotte S — Google review
We tried Leilani’s on the Beach and found it to be an average experience overall — I’d rate it about 3 stars. The location is great with a nice beach atmosphere, but the restaurant feels more like a polished chain-on-the-ocean rather than a unique dining spot. The food was okay but underwhelming for the price and hype. The hummus was heavy on oil and hidden at the bottom of the plate, the calamari lacked much flavor, and the mashed potatoes had that heat-lamp crust that made them taste like they’d been sitting. Nothing stood out as thoughtful or memorable. Service was friendly, and our waiter did their best, but the restaurant was very busy and it showed. The overall service level didn’t quite match what you’d expect for the setting and cost. In hindsight, we probably would have enjoyed the beach bar portion of the restaurant more, since that casual vibe and pace seems like a better fit for this spot.

First time in Maui even first time in Hawaii. Decided to go to the Whalers Village as my only meal had been a Musubi Roll so wanted to experience the full Maui experience. Absolutely loved my time at Leilani's on the Beach, casual dining area (there's two different sections). My bento box of all things nice was delicious and the beer I had was the perfect brew to match it with. Had a coffee as well as the glorious sun began to set. The waitress I had, was an absolute star as well, friendly and charming. 100% satisfaction!
Normandy J — Google review
Went here for my 23rd birthday! I made a reservation same day and requested nicely if we could get a view of the beach and they did not disappoint! It felt so nice and special being on the 2nd floor and looking at the sunset. Food was fresh and delicious! Would definitely recommend, but would also say if you can, get a reservation ahead of time! Not too difficult and it guarantees you a time!
Baylee L — Google review
It is interesting reading through the reviews and a lot of them are five star ratings. We are there twice and had similar experiences. I really don't think this is a five star restaurant with a lot of missing components. Some of which include the "pets" aka birds that intruding. Not really the restaurants fault, but when the waiters and bus boys leave the food on the table to long you are inviting unwelcomed guests aka the "pets". I'll start with the good though. They are right on the beach so almost any seat is a good seat. The appetizers are great especially the nachos. We added the pulled pork to it to make it even better. The pulled pork was tender and very flavorful. We enjoyed it with the crunch of the chips, salsa and the avocado. On different nights we got the fish and chips and the fish tacos. The tacos were definitely better. The fish was over cooked on the fish and chips plate and the fries lack luster. But it did seem like they were using the same fish for the fish and chips and the tacos😅. The waiters seemed to be beginners and we had two different waiters each day. Both were slow to serve the food and just appeared to be inattentive. Both times we had to request our water to be refilled especially on a hot day at the beach. I mean we sat so close to the beach that the surf was spraying our food 🌊😂. "That's a little... Salty" bonus points if you can guess the movie🤣. Anyways there are two places to eat at. If you want something more casual eat on the floor closer to the beach. If you want the "steak" restaurant you will want to head upstairs. There are shady spots to sit under but they don't cover well in the late afternoon. I got roasted like a lobster 🦞. Hmmm ... Maybe my wife should have ordered lobster instead 🤔. Anyways that's were the water would have nice. So mind when you are going to eat and where you are going to be seated. I do believe they will vouch for parking but double check with them first. Most other restaurants did while we were on the beach. So three stars for mediocre food (mind you the nachos saved their rating), poor service, but all least a great view as long as you don't mind becoming the next lobster 😜.

This was our first food stop in Maui. Did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Rum Punch! Had the shrimp tempura pupu, fish tacos, and nachos. All fantastic.

Roy's is a high-end chain restaurant known for serving Hawaiian fusion cuisine created by the renowned chef Roy Yamaguchi. Great place to celebrate a birthday. Wonderful meal, wonderful service, and a great time. All the dished were delicious. Thank you for an amazing dinner! 🤗

We loved our server here. Not only was he great, but the entire staff seemed awesome and made the experience fabulous. We got two different streaks, and the winner was definitely the filet mignon. Both were good and had some pretty good sides. However, I did think it was a little pricey for what we got. The cheesecake was creamy and a perfect blend of ube and vanilla cheesecake.
Megan W — Google review
Roy's Kaanapali served us hostility masked by politeness. Arriving 15 minutes early for our reservation, we found the waiting area sparse but adequate for us all to sit once another party was seated. The restroom was clean and stocked. However, the hostess—a dismissive blonde woman with a bun—tried seating us, including our minor children, in the bar. When we requested another table, she curtly insisted none were available by the window. After clarifying that we hadn’t requested one by a window, she led us to a table near the kitchen—a few feet from a four-top table by the window sitting empty. That set the tone for the night. Service remained unwelcoming and rude. Our waiter, Michael, was mostly absent and brusque when present, cutting us off mid-sentence. Only one server, Sarah, showed any warmth and responded to us when we requested something. The food was mostly good but flawed. The mai tais came garnished with limes that were brown. My husband enjoyed his steak, though they were out of the lobster tail he wanted to add to it. My grilled au and shrimp duo arrived lukewarm, the fish dried out. Our daughter found her honey mustard short rib just "okay," while our son's ribeye was well-prepared but the plate presentation was clunky and lazy. The calamari was a hit, but the Caesar salad wasn’t worth the price, nor was the beet salad, which seemed to feature canned, diced beets. Service was slow—our entrées took over 20 minutes. Empty dishes and glasses gathered on the table because Michael was too busy standing at the pass to bother checking on us. In the open kitchen, cooks lacked proper equipment like a salamander, resorting to makeshift methods like holding food up to the broiler, leading to unevenly/improperly cooked dishes like my au. The final straw? Watching a party of two get seated at the once "unavailable" window table. We paid over $400 for average food and inhospitable service, spending the meal pointing out disparities in how we were treated. Lesson learned: we won’t return and I don't recommend it.
Marta D — Google review
Just what you'd expect of the legendary Ray's. We've been to Poipu Grill and several on the mainland as well, and this location did not disappoint. We asked the server for a recommendation which he provided, but when we said, "we are thinking about the cioppino," he immediately responded, "get the cioppino." Cocktails - delicious (expensive $28/each!) Asian ribs appetizer - delicious Cioppino - delicious

The food was outstanding! Great selection to choose from as well. Our server was very attentive and super fun! Great place for a date night for sure!
Mitch W — Google review
Every single thing about Roy’s is perfection. The customer service is top notch, the timing of each dish is excellent, and above all, the flavors are immaculate. Each and every bite of all the dishes we ordered were wiped clean- way too difficult to even choose what to order because it all sounded amazing.
Rylie S — Google review
Ray’s is typical of most golf course restaurants no matter where you travel! Nice atmosphere, good service and good “pub” food. These places are designed to cater to golfers who just finished their round and are looking for a quick bite to eat and some drinks. It’s great to have dinner at these restaurants because you can see the beautiful golf courses while you eat! The food at Rays was very good. The fish was fresh as were the vegetables. The cocktails were very good & reasonably priced. While the atmosphere is nice, it is not a “fancy” restaurant atmosphere. It’s a golf clubhouse which is fine!

We ended up going here twice. The first time was we had reservations for dinner and they ended up getting us an early. It was the best steak I have ever had highly recommend. They gave us a sweet card celebrating our belated honeymoon. The service was outstanding. everybody was so kind and loving the music was incredible and to watch the sunset was absolutely spectacular. We went back a few days later and had breakfast the banana macadamia nut pancakes were incredible. My husband had a burrito and said it was amazing. It looked good too, but most importantly, I loved our servers. They did such a wonderful job. I was just blown away. Here’s a few pictures of those experiences. I love this place and cannot wait to go back. Her server was absolutely extraordinary. Make sure this is one of your stops along the way it’s worth going and I will go every single time I go back.

Beautiful ocean view and some pretty good grub. Started with Calamari and Macadamia Humas. Calamari was thick sticks, with an excellent aioli. Humas included carrots zucchini and pita bread, excellent. Bacon cheese burger with avocado was chared nicely with some crunchy beer battered fries. Little woman had Maui Caesar salad with sunflower seeds, kale, mixed greens and a light dressing (a little underwhelming on the dressing flavor). Our dining guest had the fish tacos (2 in soft tortilla) & said they were excellent. Make a reservation as they are busy during peak eating times.

Good food and nice service. Its a resort style beach bar/restaurant. There was live music too so that was nice. You don't have to own or stay at the resort to park or eat here and the parking is free. The live music was pretty chill and fit the lunch beach vibe.

Nice little restaurant right off the boardwalk. The staff is super nice. We only had to wait a few minutes for our seats. The poke tacos and ahi sashimi were outstanding! They also offer a lot of nice drinks! Prices were pretty good as well. Overall, I would recommend stopping if you are walking down the boardwalk.

Great food choices for whole family. Kids tried grilled cheese, grilled chicken breast, and chicken tenders. Adults got the ranch wedge salad, seafood risotto, and fish tacos. If you are a Westin timeshare owner, you get a free slice of pie. Great ambiance and right on the beach. Reservations recommended as the wait can extend past an hour and half.

My fiancé and I have enjoyed Duke’s Beach House for about a week since our arrival to Maui. We booked an all inclusive package which allotted breakfast vouchers for each day we’re here. We’ve had the pleasure of enjoying their delicious, hearty breakfast and sundown scenic dinner. The service is incredible! Shout out to Troy, Sid and Emily.

During our recent stay we came twice to Dukes and both times the service was outstanding. We had Hailey and Jacob, both were so kind and attentive. Our food on both occasions was also excellent. A great easy location to our Airbnb for a relaxed evening.

We ended up coming here twice for dinner because the food was amazing and the atmosphere was just right for us. The seafood risotto was lights out so rich and creamy with a variety of seafood. Also had the ribs and chicken plate everything tasted delicious. Finished off the night with the Hula Pia. This is a must try ice cream cake topped with chocolate and macadamia nuts. One of the top desserts on the island.

Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman in Kaanapali, Maui is a farm-to-table restaurant and bar that offers Hawaiian cuisine, beer, and cocktails in a relaxed setting. Located at Whalers Village on Kaanapali Beach, the open-air mall features a variety of shops offering everything from high-end fashion to unique island designs.
This Monkeypod is located in the Whaler’s Village, a very nice smallish shopping plaza on the beach. We’ve been to Monkeypod in Waikiki many times and weren’t too impressed with their food. This was our first time eating at this Monkeypod and thought its food was much better than our usual Monkeypod. We were in a hurry to catch a flight back to Oahu so we ordered a quick meal of goat sausage pizza. Since we only ate one item, so we can’t speak for the rest of the menu. The pizza we had, however, was excellent. It was full of interesting flavors that you normally don’t associate with an Italian pizza, but we both love it. Fresh cherry tomatoes on the pizza were very tasty. Our server, Kyle, was friendly and efficient. As always, the service at any Merriman’s restaurant was wonderful. The ownership and management of the Merriman group should be given some props for maintaining a high standard for service at all the locations we've been to. The seating area was close to the beach with a nice breeze, which made our short visit quite enjoyable.

Came here based off recommendations from Facebook. Great environment & nice views. Our server was nice. We came around 3:15 & there was no wait. We waited until happy hour (3:30pm) to order food & drinks. My husband loved the mai tai & got 2. We ordered 2 pizzas to split. The happy hour deals are great ($4 off cocktails, $2 or $3 off wine & $2 off beers, half price apps, & $14 pizzas) but wish they happy hour items included some sort of discount off items with seafood. Live music started a little after 4pm. Parking is validated for 2 hours

Such a great restaurant! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are very friendly. On a busy night, we waited approximately 10 minutes for a table without having a reservation. We were waited on soon after being sat at a table. With how busy it was, my fiancé and I were impressed at how quickly we received our drinks and our food. Highly recommend checking this place out. We had the Poke Nachos, Jawaiian Jerk Chicken, and the fish special - and all were delicious!
Corin D — Google review
My wife loved it, so 5 stars! We went three times during our week in Maui (twice to the Wailea location); the happy hour is a very good deal. We tried several beers, pizzas, appetizers, and entrées. The fish sandwich was my favorite, and the pizza was my wife's. For dessert, we had strawberry cheesecake. The service was always good at both locations. The only thing I didn't like at this location was the crazy expensive parking! It is just too much.
Álvaro C — Google review
Get reservations! Not mandatory but good idea. I must have gotten the wrong food because I feel this place is all hype. The fusion menu has lots of choices which was good but rather than mixups offer basic and good, not mixed up and just ok. (Strike 1) Knew I was in trouble when the waitress said everything is alacart. (Strike 2) then the noise. It was sooooo loud in the restaurant. I’m sure patio seating would have been less but could not have a conversation with my wife sitting next to me. (Strike 3) saving grace was beer menu and our server. It took forever for our food to arrive and they messed up a cheese burger?? (Strike 4) it takes good but the burger itself was a literal ball of meat. Not a patty, a ball!? Broccoli salad was interesting in a good way. Portions are small so there’s that too. Maybe it was just an off night or I got the worst items on the menu.

We had such a great experience at Monkeypod! The happy hour is amazing—great prices, fun atmosphere, and truly delicious food. The drinks were fantastic, and the service was friendly, attentive, and fast. Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great spot to unwind, enjoy great cocktails, and eat well!

We finally made it to Monkeypod Kitchen after hearing so many recommendations from friends and family- and I can see why it’s such a popular spot! The restaurant itself is large, cute, and has a beautiful open-air atmosphere that really captures the Maui vibe. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the island breeze. It’s in a nice outdoor mall called Whalers Village. Everyone told us we had to try the Mai Tai, and they were absolutely right- delicious, strong, and definitely one of the best on the island. The food was good overall, though nothing that completely blew us away. We enjoyed our grilled fish sandwich and the green salad- both were fresh and flavorful. Service was excellent; our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Prices are on the higher side, especially since entrées don’t come with sides, but that’s pretty typical for Maui. If you’re visiting and looking for a fun, casual restaurant with great drinks, good food, and a lively island atmosphere, Monkeypod Kitchen is a solid choice.

We came here for happy hour and weren’t sure if we would get a spot to sit, but they still had open tables and bar seating. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and we got two pizzas from happy hour. They were a great price and tasted wonderful! I would recommend going here if you want good food for happy hour! It is right next to the beach and within the mall area. The will stamp your parking ticket from the parking ramp as well before you leave

Nestled within the luxurious Hyatt Regency Resort, Japengo is a remarkable dining spot that offers stunning views of sunsets and waterfalls from its patio. The restaurant boasts a sophisticated and inviting ambiance with its rustic-chic facade. It is renowned for serving top-notch Asian cuisine, including exquisite sushi presentations, modern Asian dishes, and delightful desserts.
Excellent overall Experience. Japengo has a fantastic location on the Hyatt Property, overlooking the Pools, Ocean and massive open Lobby front side. The approach is cool and overall layout is very fun with so many different seating options and perspectives. Cool round bar near entry to hang out at and take it in. Our server Burt was very gracious and knowledgeable and really made us comfortable talking about all things related. We had Spicy Edamane, Seared Hamachi and Garlic Noodles to start and they were all outstanding with great very distinct flavors and textures. For dinner we had the Chefs Special Roll and a Blackened Ahi Roll. Both were beautiful and delicious, very good. Both were California Roll inside, then the Chefs Special had Ahi and Onaga with Black Squid Ink Roe and the other had Blackened Ahi with Wasabi Roe. They treated us to a Pineapple Upside Down Cake which Beautiful and absolutely Delicious. Thank you, Burt and Japengo Team

Great food, delicious sushi and solid cocktail menu. I highly recommend their fried rice. They do a great job of getting that flame kissed flavor from the wok and crispiness into the rice. Sushi is excellent and among the better experiences I've had in Maui. Highly recommend, especially if you're staying at the Hyatt in Lahaina.

We went to Japengo for our 4th wedding anniversary and they did not disappoint. They have a great outdoor seating balcony with great views. The interior deco is like a modern Asian / Japanese look that was cool. Tip* - you can just pull up to the front valet area and let them know you are there for reservations at Japengo and they will provide free parking for you. (Get your ticket validated at the restaurant) and don’t forget to tip your valet! We had the chicken and the steak. The steak was the best steak on our entire visit. Super moist and tender. Perfect. The jadori chicken was tasty, nothing wrong with it but it didn’t impress. We also got the mango prawn salad which could have been more / better. Clams were good in a white wine garlicky sauce - yum. I was eating this sauce with my spoon at the end. Many dishes were highlighting the shiitake mushrooms and the mushroom side dish was also good. Service was good, a little slow. We were done with apps and plates taken and waited another 35 minutes for our main course to come out. Seemed a bit long. We got an amazing dessert there that we think was the best one out of the 4-5 we had around Maui during our stay. It was a layered browny / chocolate cake and ice cream dish and it was very tasty. We would definitely go back and try more of their dishes. We were bummed we didn’t try the fish instead of the chicken. Next time!

The sushi here is great but they wanna kill you with overcompensating rice due to the restaurant being on hotel grounds and thus commanding a premium price. I'm ok with PREMIUM price but not premium rice portions. It ruins the fish ratio. Also, seating at the patio is hot and humid. This creates a problem as the fish get warm on first bite from the sushi chef's table. Inside seating is very limited. Definitely a hit and a miss. The curry seafood dish was just alright. Lobster was over grilled. With Masa name attached to it, they should really use better wasabi. They can afford it
Jack B — Google review
The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, and the drinks were great. The service was decent, but the food was honestly quite underwhelming. I’m from the Midwest and have had better sushi from my local grocery store! The rolls lacked flavor, and for the price, I expected much more. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to the hype. If you’re visiting Maui and looking for truly good sushi, I wouldn’t recommend this spot, but it’s a lovely place for cocktails and ambiance.

Fantastic menu. There’s both inside layers of flavors were unreal and they combined some ingredients I’ve never tried before. All if it perfectly executed in a luxury setting. Come here for sundown! Nice selection is sake as well.

It's good, but prices are getting up there. Only worth it if you're staying at the resort. The patio has a nice view for sunset, but you can get that from any beach for free.

Embracing the concept of superfoods, their eclectic menu changes with the seasons and highlights nutrient-rich ingredients like kale, quinoa, and chia.
Had breakfast here almost every morning while visiting the area. I loved the innerspatial, pow abunga, and wow Maui smoothies. If you are drawn to green smoothies- get the innerspatial! My husband got the large POWabunga acai bowl and he was happy. I love this place!

I came here for an early morning juice. I was grateful they had a buy one get one 50% off deal - really any dream for a juice shop is appreciated. There were three people ahead of me so I was concerned it would take a while to be served but it only took a few minutes! So the service was fast. They had plenty of juice options. I got two green juices and was impressed. Often the healthier green options can be bitter or intense, these were very drinkable. The one thing I didn't quite like were the heavy glass bottles - they of course offer a $1 token if you return them - but who's going to do that? I'd prefer a normal plastic or glass bottle. But overall, I would be happy to come back.

Very friendly and lots of options. We had juice, a smoothie and an iced coffee while here. They were ok but missing that punch of flavour. Maybe it’s the fresh part but we were looking for something a tiny bit more flavourful.

I ordered the burrito bowl and it was delicious! The sauce really makes it and it was nice to get a bowl that was vegan and gluten free. Whenever I can find a bowl like this that actually has flavor, I’m going to give it five stars! I also enjoyed sitting nearby at the tables and people watching.

Barely filled overpriced açaí bowls. Very stingy with toppings and not blended either. For that price, you’re better off going next door to the coffee shop that sells much better açaí!

Nestled in the historic town of Lahaina, Lahaina Grill has been a top dining destination for over two decades. This elegant restaurant offers a blend of locally sourced ingredients and international cooking methods to craft innovative New American cuisine. The ambiance is equally impressive, with fine china and crystal adorning the tables, vibrant paintings by renowned artist Jan Kasprzycki gracing the walls, and charming pressed tin ceilings adding to the overall inviting atmosphere.
Lovely vibe, incredible food, and great service! A lot of options are gluten free. I got the seared lion paw scallops, and they were some of the best scallops I’ve ever had! So soft and creamy with a delicious sauce. The truffle oil really made the dish! Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive, and the bartenders had a great time on Halloween.

Very nice experience. The food was incredibly flavorful, the ambiance was classy. We enjoyed the excellent wagyu ravioli with the warm fresh bread. The French onion soup and seafood chowder were great. We split the daily special Opakapaka with amazing risotto. They notified us of the extra charge to split and we were happy with did it when we saw how beautifully it was plated. Every dish was super rich and delicious. A very nice touch when they brought my husband a birthday card, dessert and took our photo. I read reviews of how incredible service was, so I think I was expecting a lot. While our server was friendly, we didn’t find it very attentive. It was busy, so I understand he had his hands full. It was a lovely fine dining experience!

An absolute must-visit fine dining restaurant. If you are in Maui, you must dine here. The atmosphere is inviting and intimate. The staff is knowledgeable of the entire menu and very polite. Their wine list is second to none. They have their own sommelier who procures vino from around the world, so you have a tremendous amount of bottled options ranging from $60 per bottle to over $10K. They have many gluten-free options or can make some options gluten-free with a chefs tweak here or there. The bowl of fish chowder was to die for and is a must-try. Lastly, the owner will stop by and introduce himself and chat with you. He provides the highest level of concierge service, which, besides the amazing food and atmosphere, is why this place consistently ranks among the very, very best in the world and deserves the reputation it has most assuredly earned.

Honestly, best service we have had in a very long time. Thank you Lisa and Eric for being so attentive. The little special touches go a long way in our book. The food matched the service and was spectacular. We were celebrating our anniversary and they took a picture of us, gave us a card, and a desert. My husband is Gluten Free and they paid very special attention to his dietary restrictions. They made sure he could still try the seafood special of the day and dessert. Even the doggy bag hanger was a nice touch.

Excellent dinner. The food was amazing. Everything sounded great so it was hard to decide what to get. The drinks we got were delicious too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We definitely will be coming back next time we’re in Maui. This was the best meal we had on the island. Everything we got was phenomenal. The owner of the restaurant even came around and thanked us for dining there. Great experience all around.

Had a wonderful experience. Food was excellent. Service was exceptional! Only thing I didn’t really care for was the fish chowder. We really enjoyed the bufala tomato salad. Although it’s a bit pricey for what you get but it’s worth a try. The Osso Buco tasted amazing and they leave the bone marrow intact. Seared Ahi Tuna was cooked perfectly. The flavor is well balanced.

Absolutely phenomenal food and was one of the highlights of our trip. I went with my fiance for an anniversary dinner and had incredible service and complimentary dessert. Nestled in Lahaina, Hawaii, Star Noodle is a beloved spot known for its Asian shared plates, noodle dishes, and sake cocktails. Since 2010, this hotspot has been serving up traditional Hawaiian comfort food in a cool space with an ocean view. The menu features a variety of shareable starter plates like smashed cucumber salads with miso-chili sauce, steamed clams with miso butter, and adobo ribs with black pepper vinegar.
We ate at Star Noodle and it was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish blew us away! The butter noodles paired perfectly with the butterfly fish, and the Singapore noodles with short rib were packed with flavor. We ended on a sweet note with the malasadas for dessert perfection. 5 stars, highly recommend this spot

We really wanted to have a WOW experience after the recommendations and reviews but it fell a little flat for us. The atmosphere is nice, just a little bright. (Would be nicer if the lights were not so bright like a cafeteria.) The front staff was polite. We were seated on time. Our waiter was lackluster… not mean but certainly not friendly. The waiter barely greeted us and seemed overall disinterested in his job. The pork buns were good, not spectacular. The Look Moore Funn had one scallop and maybe three shrimps, the portion being pretty small but it did taste good. My daughter had the garlic noodles and they were super dry, she had to add soy sauce to give it any flavor and not make it so dry. My husband had the pad Thai, he liked it but a lot of noodles with little shrimp and chicken. We probably wouldn’t go back if we were to return to Hawaii.

When I first visited Hawaii, Star Noodle was one of my most memorable stops. I tried the Star Kim Chee, Steamed Pork Buns, and Singapore Noodles — each dish had such bold flavors and felt so comforting after a long day of exploring. I finished with Malasadas, and it was the perfect sweet ending. Such a special food experience to remember my trip by!

Lighting was very bright. While 8 appreciate being able to see my food and take pictures, it would have been nice to dim them just a little. However, food was absolutely fantastic and service was excellent. Host was exceptional, kept a smile and cool head while super busy. Kept those waiting for tables organized and sat in a timely manner. Hats off to her for helping this place run like a well oiled machine. Wish we were staying longer so we could go back and try more. Can't wait for our next trip to Maui.

This place takes noodles to the next level. The dishes are prepared with so much delicate texture and flavors. The tempura shrimp is amazing! The shrimp is super fresh. The most unique piece is the shiso sprouts to bring out the shrimp freshness. Noodles are definitely freshly made or it wouldn’t be so chewy to the taste, I wonder if they mixed bud weed with wheat so not your normal ramen. I would love to come back to dine here again! Superb!
Anna Y — Google review
Star Noodle was so delicious! I’m so glad we were able to get a reservation. It was at 7:30 which stinks because it was dark and the best part about this place is the ocean view but the food made up for it! We had the pork steamed buns, two pots of noodles and the malasadas. The hot n sour soup was my absolute favorite and the malasadas was the perfect sweet end to dinner. Everything was so warm and cozy!
Alante F — Google review
One of the best meals on our trip!! Incredible food, drinks, and service. We loved the green beans! Poke and malasadas were also amazing but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything.
Jenna D — Google review
Really wanted to like this place but reviews are pretty spot on about it being overpriced and underwhelming. Food for two and one mocktail came out to about ~$150 after tax and tip but I guess thats normal for mediocre meal in Hawaii. I would not order the garlic noodles, crab and kombucha mandu or the ahi belly again. The Lahaina fried soup was the only thing we really liked. Barely any crab in the mandu, only taste the kombucha. At $18 for 3 measley pieces, a bit of a waste. Ahi belly was also tiny and overcooked. Couldn't tell if it was just any old regular piece of tuna. I've had better garlic noodles at any other vietnamese spot that included either steak or shrimp. These were lacking in flavor and didnt like the thin noodle. Service was great though. Go for the Lahaina fried soup. You can skip everything else we ordered.

I am so glad we stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant. The food was exceptional and you could tell the chefs were passionate about their craft. They source their food, drinks and cocktail garnishes locally. The sunset alone is worth stopping in but the cocktails are second to none. The bartenders are amazing! They are super attentive and seem like they authentically get along with one another. We weren’t in for a full meal but we saw several go out to tables and everything looked exquisite. We had the sashimi which was Ono and the beet salad. Both 10/10! We will definitely make a point to come back here. Oh and did I mention the sunset? :)

This was the first restaurant we dined at during our recent (and 1st) trip to Maui, and it was wonderful! (We actually showed up late to a corporate event because I did not want to miss out on a meal here, and it was booked for the remainder of our stay.) We were seated at an outside table with amazing views – the evening was gorgeous! We started with the Hen Mouse, the O’o Farm Mixed Olives and the Cheese Board which were all delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the Grilled Fish Mai-Tai (so flaky and light) and my husband enjoyed the Lemongrass Curry. Excellent cuisine, top-notch service and amazing views. This farm-to-table restaurant is one you will not want to miss!

Everything was delicious. Salads were so fresh and tasty. Risotto was fantastic too. My husband had the chicken and he loved it. You can't go wrong with this restaurant.

I never give ANY place 5 stars across the board. I had the blacken Mahi-Mahi and to my Cajun friends, it passes. Simply perfect! The wife had the grilled swordfish, again it was simply perfect. The chocolate bread pudding was delicious! Our server John was also perfect, knew when to show up, and when not to!

Amazing restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious. Great mix of flavors. They have a "farm to table" policy, all ingredients are fresh. I came in not knowing much about the restaurant, but was pleasantly surprise. The service was amazing too. Best food in Maui for the price! Also, great environment and view!
Camila M — Google review
The views the restaurant has to offer are. We sat on the grass and had a front row view of the ocean and sunset! Try to get a seat out there if you can!!! I had tried to called and make a reservation and the woman on the other line said they would give me a call back, they never did. So I called back at 4 and another woman answered the phone and said they were full and only had one walk in table or the bar. Knowing that we couldn’t get a reservation, my husband and I got dressed and got there right as they were opening, and we were able to get seated right away!!! Overall the experience was good. Our service from our server was very lack luster, it seemed like he really didn’t care to serve us. But the gentleman who was coming around and refilling our water made up for it. We had great conversation with him and he told us cool facts about Maui. As for the food, we would recommend everything we got there!!! Try the banana bread Ice cream sandwiches l, they are unique and delicious!! I also want to let you know that it’s located RIGHT next door to a luau. So If you pick a night to eat there when there is a Luau going, it will be loud.

Excellent high end restaurant. We went for a sunset dinner. Creative craft cocktails, amazing dinner and desserts that will leave you wanting more. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location on the beach is perfect.
Todd J — Google review
I would have given 5 stars, but we had a reservation and we were seated a few minutes late and stuck me behind a wall when there was an empty table right next to us that was given to someone after us. It had the perfect view. Otherwise, the food was delicious and the server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and options. I had the Blackened Fresh Catch. The sauce was spicy which is how I like it. My husband had the Herb Crusted Ahi. He said it was perfect. For dessert, we shared the Avocado Lava Cake. It was rich and creamy and not too sweet. High dollar restaurant. If you get a good table (which is most tables) you will not be disappointed by the sunset. You can also walk out to the beach and get a few sunset pictures while you wait for your table.

Pizza restaurant
Pizza Paradiso is a casual pizzeria located just north of Kaanapali, known for its red-sauce Italian fare and Mediterranean dishes like gyros and falafel. Chef Paris Nabavi has won awards for the best Mediterranean fare and pizza, importing traditional herbs, spices, and aromatic ground Persian lime to create authentic dishes such as baba ganoush and crispy falafel. The restaurant also serves Hawaiian pizza alongside gluten-free options.
I ordered the 5 Cheese Pizza and it was absolutely outstanding. From the moment I opened the box, the delicious aroma hit me, and after the first bite I knew right away – this wasn’t just any pizza, this was the best I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly baked – crispy on the outside yet soft and airy inside – while the cheese blend was creamy, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. You can really taste the quality and the passion that goes into making it. The portion size was generous, and even after several slices I still wanted more. What impressed me most was how hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked the pizza arrived – a huge step above the standard pizzas you usually get elsewhere. On top of that, the service was fast and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Without a doubt: if you’re on Maui and looking for amazing pizza, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back – highly recommended!

Good pizza! Called in to order ahead of time and pickup was easy. The cheese pizza and meat lovers pizza were quite tasty. The pies were sliced many times for smaller slices which was nice for sharing and for those who don’t want a giant piece of pizza. Great for taking to the beach or back to the hotel!

Craving pizza on the west side of Maui, I wasn’t sure where to go — but I ended up at Paradiso Pizzeria and I’m so glad I did. At first, I was hesitant since the place serves everything from pizza to kebabs and gyros — usually a red flag for me. But I went for it and ordered a slice of cheese and their signature Paradiso slice. And wow — I was sold. The crust was just right, the tomato sauce had great flavor and consistency, and the overall balance was spot on. I ended up ordering a full pie and enjoyed every bite. The place was buzzing with local customers, which spoke volumes about the quality and pricing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a casual, tasty, and reasonably priced spot on the west side of the island.

It was very good pizza surprisingly. The pictures don't do it justice. I thought it was going to be average from the pictures, but the cheese was creamy, the sauce was nice, and the dough was crispy. Very good food. Will go again the next time we're visiting the island.

The service is friendly and fast. The pizza slice we ordered was yummy 😋. The fresh cut up pineapple 🍍 was divine. Salads and fruit are prepared and available in a side fridge. But the cutest 😍 thing was a R2D2 like robot that came out to bring us our pizza 🍕 slices. It came right over to our table and said "Please take your pizza " So cool 😎

This pizza is special!! We tried the pepperoni, five cheese, maui wowie, and margherita. It was all so good and the people are all so friendly and helpful! My kids said it was the best pizza they've ever had!
Christa W — Google review
Hands down one of the most unexpectedly awesome meals we had on Maui! Pizza Paradiso serves up serious flavor—and the best part? Your food might be delivered by a ROBOT. Yep, a cute little robot glides over with your order like it just rolled off a sci-fi movie set. Total hit with everyone at the table! We started with the roasted garlic appetizer, which was buttery, mellow, and perfect with warm pita. Then came the Greek pizza—feta, olives, fresh tomato, oregano… like Santorini met a brick oven. So good we almost ordered another. The vibe is laid-back island casual with a high-tech twist, and the menu has something for everyone—from gyros to gelato. If you’re in West Maui and want tasty food with a side of robot magic, Pizza Paradiso is a must.

First time visiting and wow the pizza alone was amazing, not gonna lie very picky but it was probably the best I have ever had and the food from California is hard to compete with! The Son'z Steakhouse offers an elegant and luxurious setting for dining, complete with swan-populated pond. The wide variety of seafood and American steaks on the menu will have your taste buds singing merrily all night long! Tables can be reserved in advance, making this a perfect spot for a special occasion.
The view and atmosphere were wonderful with the pond, ducks, and swans as entertainment. The netting ensures the birds are unable to interrupt an outstanding steak dinner. I had the strip and my wife enjoyed the filet. Both were tender and juicy cooked exactly to the temperature we requested. Service was attentive and made the night special.

This is definitely a unique place to eat at. I loved sitting by the water 💦 and enjoyed eating dinner with friends. It is small so reservations are almost a must. You should either get them morning of or the day before if you can. Any group of six or more and they place an automatic tip. The food did take a hot minute to come out and they gave us the wrong order for dessert 😂. But since we were easy going and the dessert was awesome we didn't mind. No need to make fuss if it doesn't matter. I ordered the lobster ravioli and my wife got the catch if the day. We both normally will try each other's dish but we gobbled our dishes down respectfully without time to share🤣. No need to say that the food was awesome, it was spectacular! The reasons for four stars instead of five is that the service was slow as dirt, they did get our dessert wrong, and it is very expensive.
Casey S — Google review
Amazing restaurant with an overall excellent level of service and cuisine. The ambiance is what you would expect from a Maui resort as well. I had a Mai Tai and that baby was tasty and STRONG! We had top tier mushrooms and truffle fries. The wagyu steak was 9/10. A bit more gristle than I would have liked, but still delicious. Lamb was also very good.

Son’z Steakhouse is located inside the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere which includes a beautiful waterfall, swans and ducks gracefully swimming outside an inconspicuous wire netting that you barely know is there. The atmosphere is very romantic regardless of if you are dinning for breakfast or dinner. The best part about this dining experience is hands down the atmosphere. The service is also amazing, actually one of the best I have had. The staff are very attentive and are wonderful. We would definitely give breakfast a consistent 5 stars. Dinner was very good. We had the lamb, Brussels spouts, and salad. They have a great menu but it is a bit pricey. We spent over 300 dollars for the meal not including dessert and with 2 drinks. Breakfast with our package ran us 98 dollars a day for 2 people. Overall wonderful experience!!!!

Quantity of food and price just don’t match. For $20 this fried rice is for kids quantity and not adult. Also, the amount of oil in this rice was scary.. Please don’t bother eating here if hungry. Whalers village has far better options for same price and better quantity for an adult. The Italian place right next to this serving sandwiches is amazing and cheaper

I did get the salmon last time (delish, see photo) and husband got the garlic chicken (not my thing and he felt it was ok, I don't think he's really into deep fried chicken either, but the flavors were good, see photo). We weren't keen on a "fancy" dinner out, but wanted the food to be top notch - we found a winner!

I really wanted both ahi poke bowl and halo halo, but they no longer offered it. I knew halo halo was a long shot since the photo was posted more than 6 years ago. It was partly my fault that I didn't know this place was part of the plaza's food court. I should have curbed my expectations when I saw it was food court. However, I thought, food court can't be that bad, right? Oh, I was wrong. My Loco Moco was flavorless and what's worse, it wasn't even properly seasoned. Had it been seasoned better, it could have been average. The sauce had no flavor and I couldn't even finish my patty. I don't remember the last time I didn't finish my food. My wife's local breakfast had an egg, sliced sausages and spam. The spam was so salty that it was almost perfect pairing to my flavorless rice and sauce. Given the touristy high prices, this was not acceptable. But oh well, I won't be back. Not sure how this place still had 4 stars. Perhaps it was good in its glory days before COVID?

This is a gem, lower level of Whalers Village. Great food and service. We had Teriyaki Chicken, Loco Moco, and Pork Lumpia all were delicious!

Got the local favorite Loco Moco. It was cooked good and had a nice presentation for a food court. Also bought the breakfast sandwich, which was excellent. Clean indoor dining area, outside dining area has great foot traffic to watch as you eat. Flavor is a little on the bland side. Staff are friendly and quick at getting your order.

Great Hawaiian-Filipino fusion. We tried the Island Fish Tacos, Lechon Kawali “Crispy Pork Belly", and a chicken and veggie fried noodle. I always love a well prepared pork belly and Joey’s did not disappoint. The fish tacos were delicious, the slaw pushed them over the top in my opinion. And the fried noodle was the family winner between my husband and kids. The portions were generous, would recommend enjoying family style if you’re not ravenous.

Restaurant
Aloha Mixed Plate offers a relaxed, beachside setting with open-air patio seating and stunning oceanfront views. The restaurant serves traditional Hawaiian platters in generous portions, inspired by the old plantation days when diverse cultures gathered with their simple lunches. The menu reflects the history of various dishes and cultures, featuring flavors like teriyaki beef, chicken adobo, kalbi, rice noodles, and the signature Ali Plate with Lau Lau royal lunch.
I am usually skeptical about hotel recommendations for restaurants but this time I am glad we went with it. The views of sunset were spectacular. The food was all pretty good and good portions. But the service is what made this place great. I very much liked the lau lau for my plate. Would definitely come again

Best experience was the food. I got the Ceasar salad with fish and the fish that day was swordfish. The swordfish was grilled I believe, and it tasted pretty meaty which was great. The salad was prepared very well and tasted refreshing especially since it was a very bright day. The price for this was reasonable. The atmosphere wasnt bad, sitting outside but with shade. The service was not bad, just wished we got our waters sooner since it was a scorching day. Wouldn't mind coming back.

My recent dinner at Aloha Mixed Plate was absolutely outstanding. From start to finish, everything delivered — and the highlight has to be the swordfish special. It was cooked to perfection and quite literally melted in my mouth. I’ve had many fish dishes, but this one stood out. My wife ordered the Ali‘i plate and raved about the lū lū — rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned. Meanwhile, my buddy went with the mixed plate and demolished it before I could even ask how it was. The portions were generous, the flavors bold yet balanced, and the overall vibe of the place was relaxed and authentically Hawaiian. Service was friendly and efficient, and the setting on Front Street adds that breezy island charm without sacrificing comfort. If you find the swordfish special on the menu, do yourself a favor and go for it — you won’t regret it. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lahaina who wants a meal that feels both local and top-tier. Five stars without hesitation.

Excellent local food served in a beautiful setting with a friendly and attentive staff. Patio seating at comfortable tables that are comfortable spaced from each other. The atmosphere is very inviting. The view is excellent. A small bar is well stocked and provides counter service. The adjacent parking is adequate. However, it can get very crowded during the busier times of the day and parking can be limited. Street parking is available but it can also be limited.

There’s parking in front. As soon as you walk in, you feel the island vibes. Beautiful surroundings with a direct ocean view. Very clean. Friendly staff. The drinks are beautiful and well-made. Recommend the mai tai. For food, recommend the aloha mixed plate Which has a little bit of everything, including short rib, pork, chicken, fish, macaroni, rice. We also got the fish plate of the day, which was a bunch of swordfish fillets, and a delicious pineapple salsa on top.

I asked several locals where they would go for a good Loco Moco, and most of them pointed me to this spot. While I can’t say it completely lived up to the hype, I was semi impressed. The gravy wasn’t as dark and rich as I expected, and the rice was a bit mushy—more like a light chicken-style gravy than the deep beef flavor I was hoping for. On the positive side, my wife really enjoyed her shrimp meal, and the $6 select canned beers during happy hour were a nice surprise. The price for the Loco Moco felt a little high, but that seems to be the norm on the west side.

Laidback Hawaiian spot with a happy hour next to the beach. Came here for a late lunch and we were able to get seated immediately. I had the aloha mixed plate while my boyfriend had a burger with the furikake fries. The view was really nice, as we overlooked the ocean and could hear the luau next door gearing up. They have a parking lot and credit cards are accepted. The restrooms are located around the corner of the restaurant. It’s kid friendly and very chill.
Shanelle S — Google review
The outdoor seating with a view of the ocean was the first thing we noticed when we arrived. We had to wait nearly 5 minutes for the hostess to return before we could be seated. All the staff we interacted with seemed rather crabby. When I asked the bartender if there was a hostess, he quickly replied "Just wait." When the hostess arrived, she asked if we had reservations. We politely replied, we did not and were shown to our table. The waiter arrived and started arguing with us about a dish. Not sure why that was necessary. However, we settled on our order and brushed it off. Meals came out and had a lovely presentation. The flower on the plate was a nice touch. The sauces used to season the proteins on both our dishes was quite good. However, all the proteins we had were way over cooked and quite dry. Perhaps we just came on an off night for the staff. There are many other Hawaiian cuisine restaurants to try.

Tiki Terrace is a hawaiian restaurant with open-air seating and a nightly music & hula performance. The menu includes seafood and Hawaiian staples as well as drinks. There is also a full bar.
One of the islands star eateries. Sunday brunch is a spectacular production of food...meat, salad, breakfast items, desserts, champagne, seafood includes crab legs, shrimp, oysters, clam chowder, and more. Prime Rib, lamb, ham and poke are abundant. Sushi varieties abound. The vast brunch is $50.00 per person in September 2019. Food items are better than most you can find on any island. You will not be disappointed even if you drive more than 40 minutes to indulge. Enjoy!

We made a reservation here even though we were not staying in Ka'anapali because we were told the Hula show was great and free. The show was wonderful and the food outstanding. My husband had the traditional Hawaiian dish, and I had the kobe boneless ribs and we both were super delighted. The food looked and tasted beautifully. The food is somewhat pricey, but you get a ton of food and it's super delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Maui.

We went to Tiki Terrace for dinner. We did not have any reservations but the host was kind enough to get us seated immediately. The service was fast. I had the crab cakes which tasted pretty good, i liked it. My husband had the prime rib and he didnt enjoy it as much as he thought he would. They had some live music and hula and it was very entertaining. Overall good experience.

WOW! We did the Thanksgiving buffet here and it was really good. It was about $55 per adult and they had whatever you could imagine. There waa a line with turkey and all the fixings, a line with Asian foods like sushi, BBQ short ribs, etc. They also had poke, and a full line of salad options. They also crab legs and shrimp and a carving station for Prime Rib, glazed ham, and pork loin. There was very long line of dessert option that included a chocolate fountain. They had a small kids area which included hot dogs, pizza and chicken nuggets. We felt it was a good value for the price. We were seated on the open patio and close to the live entertainment. I would do this again as I was pretty impressed. They are also known for their Sunday brunch.

Kimo's Maui is a renowned seafood restaurant with stunning harbor views, offering classic Hawaiian dishes and tropical craft cocktails. The open-air dining experience provides incredible ocean vistas, making it one of the best places to eat in Lahaina. The menu features local seafood, prime rib, and their famous Hula Pie dessert. Visitors can also enjoy the signature Mai Tai cocktail made with a fresh house juice blend at the lanai bar while taking in the beauty of Maui.
The food here was absolutely incredible. Pricey, but fresh and flavoured well! The fish was melt-in-your-mouth good. The hula pie was delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly to us. The view was also nice, overlooking the ocean. Would definitely go back here!

This was one of my fav restaurant in Maui, love the ocean front view. The breeze, the ocean water. It’s located in Lahaina town. We were there before the fire broke out. Not sure if they rebuild it or not. Food was great. Love the view. Can walk around burn some calories after lunch or dinner. Staffs were wonderful.

We had an excellent meal at Kimo’s . We both had fish dishes, which were delicious. We were there for the sunset, which was amazing. The views from the patio deck are terrific. They had two musicians playing for the sunset hour, which was charming! Our server was attentive and informative. I would highly recommend!

Amazing food. Amazing scenery. This place is an absolute must while on the island! We called ahead and made reservations for 4, and we're able to get right in on time. It is right on the beach, so you get a great view of the ocean! Make sure to bring some sunglasses if you go during sunset because that sun gets brutal as it sets in the evening. Best fish and chips I have ever had (honestly). Also, the hula pie is an absolute must-have for dessert. It most definitely lives up to the hype! Parking is best if you go to the free parking at the shopping center just north 2 block. It's an easy walk, and you can stop at a few gift shops along the way.

Definitely should get the hula pie! I was happy with the cheeseburger and fries. The fish wasn't bad but tasted bland. Enjoyed the beachfront and even looking over the balcony, we found some nails and crabs on the rocks below which the kids loved! The staff was attentive and friendly. They have an interactive packet for the kids to color and then if they play bingo (find things around them) then they got a free Frisbee! It helped to keep them distracted and in their seats.

Sadly, this is one of those restaurants that used to be really good, great food, great service, etc. But now they just hustle you in and hustle you out. It has become so popular because of the amazing ocean and sunset views. I have always enjoyed the prime rib here, but it was so disappointing this time. Very dry and tasteless. The seafood special was good but not outstanding as it should be based on the pricing and the caliber of restaurant they are trying to be. Don't bother showing up without a reservation, the hostess will be rude and make it very clear she will not have room for you. I'm sorry to say, it's not worth a return trip for me.
David B — Google review
The fish tacos are exceptional, maybe the best I've had. Paired with a draft craft beer IPA made it even better. The Kimo's Baked fish with rice and macaroni salad was also excellent. And to top it off the Hula Pie was super yummy too. The hostess who seated us and our server were friendly and professional. Truly a 5 star experience.

This restaurant is situated on the popular Front Street, right on the water. Unfortunately, we got there after sunset and weren’t able to take in the views. At the time, the live vocalist was finishing up, around 8pm. He was very talented and showed real affection for the crowd. Not sure if that was just that night or if he’s always like that, but it was quite endearing. Our server was fun and friendly. The food was fresh. Taste wise, it was ok. Not great, just good, hence the 4 stars. The vibe was the most significant part here. With the waves crashing beside us, the beautiful music, the mix of customers, and outgoing staff, it’s a great spot to visit while on vacation. Try to get there while the sun is still up!

Everything was perfection! We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and so glad we did. The macadamia crusted catch of the day was excellent and so fresh. Spot on for fine dining. We had our kids with us and they were accommodating for children which I appreciate. The service was immaculate. There is a happy hour bar that does not accept reservations, but if you want to dine, I’d recommend reservations. The adults ordered: ahi sashimi (10/10) with fresh wasabi (holy moly) Oysters (off menu) (10/10) Caesar salad (8/10) Macadamia nut crusted fresh catch (7/10) Filet mignon (10/10) My kids ordered steak and pasta and everyone was very happy with their meal. We also got icecream and crème brûlée (off menu) which was immaculate.

Merriman’s Kapalua is a very nice restaurant with a beautiful setting- though unfortunately it was too dark and windy tonight to really enjoy the view everyone talks about. The food, however, was fresh and flavorful across the board. We started with the complimentary bread service and the little shot of soup- both a nice touch. The Ceviche Aguachile was one of our favorites of the night- the citrus sauce was bright and zesty, and we ended up dipping our bread in it because it was so good. The Chow Fun Noodles with Pork & Shrimp were excellent- full of flavor. The Charred Ahi Tuna was another standout- perfectly seared with that smoky charred flavor we loved. The white fish special with shrimp was tasty too, though a bit on the salty side. Drinks were okay- we skipped the Mai Tai since it’s the same as Monkeypod (same restaurant group) and went for dirty martinis instead, but they were nothing special and definitely overpriced at $26 each. Service was the one real miss. It took about 10–15 minutes before anyone came over to our table after we were seated, and throughout dinner, our dirty plates sat on the table for a while even as new dishes arrived. It didn’t ruin the meal, but for a restaurant at this level and price point, we expected better attention to detail. Overall, it was a great dinner- very expensive with somewhat small portions, but the quality and flavors made it worth experiencing at least once while in Maui. We also enjoyed the little brownie to-go dessert they give you after dinner.

We celebrated my birthday at Merriman’s and it was a superb experience. From the moment we got in, we realized this was going to be a special evening. The service was amazing and our water glasses never got empty. The wait between courses was minimal. Both the food and cocktails were out of this world good. I couldn’t fault a thing, and that’s coming from a picky eater. We have dined in Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and this meal was at the same level.

Oh my! The views are amazing! And, you have to get there in time for the sunset. It was perfect! Now, the food was nothing short of perfect! We had the pleasure of dining at Merriman’s in Maui during our honeymoon, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely amazing — the macadamia nut crusted fish was out of this world, and the freshly baked bread with tomato and oil was such a delicious start to the meal. What really made our experience special, though, was the outstanding service. Our server, Ben, was fantastic — so friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu to us. After dinner, we went down to the outdoor area where we met Nolan, the bartender, who was not only great at what he does but also a pleasure to talk with. On our last night in Maui, we returned for late-night drinks and were taken care of by Viola, who was just as wonderful and friendly. Thank you, Merriman’s, for helping make our honeymoon so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

One of our favorites in Honolulu, but it’s our first time at Maui’s location. We didn’t have a reservation and arrived at 8:15 p.m., the hostess was very nice and was able to give us a table right away even though this place was packed. We had some of our standard dishes (taro chips with hummus and beets salad), both were excellent as in Honolulu, except there were less chips here and the chips were greasier than in Honolulu. Then, we also tried its lobster and the crispy pork shank. Both were excellent, both in taste and presentation. We also loved its bread that came with puréed tomato in olive oil dipping sauce that was the champ of the night. The house Chardonnay was very good and as well as its non-alcoholic cocktails. The service was friendly and efficient just like in Honolulu. The seating area was inviting and comfortable. Too bad we came so late that we’ve missed its beautiful ocean view. The patio area is first come first serve, but it was closed at 8 p.m., half an hour ahead of its main dinning area.

We went for happy hour. Charlene our waitress was friendly and gave good service. Variety of dishes for happy hour. Chili tequila was spicy. Wings were crispy and slightly sweet. The hurricane fries were well liked. Calamari was unfortunately not cooked properly being the only downside. The view is beautiful

Nice place, right on the beach so you have great views. The price for our lunch was amazing, compared to the rest of the area this helps make this spot a must. Our food was decent. We each got the Mahi Mahi sandwiches. I went with the grilled option and my wife did the blackened. I up-charged to the fries and the wife had the chips. If you get this sandwich, I suggest going with the blackened. The fries cost $4, stick with the chips, they just aren’t worth the charge. Overall, great value and a real good Mai Tai.

Beautiful beach/ ocean front table view. The fresh fruit was delicious. The house special pancake- filled with banana and pineapple was tasty but just a little too mushy if you are in the mood for pancakes. Like eating a Custard with a thin skin and with fruit added. Overall a great breakfast spot- just will order different menu item. Sorry, the birds are cute but they come onto your table ( 5 or 6 total ) and 1-2 even eat out of the plates.

The view from Sea House alone is worth the trip! Stunning Napili Bay location and view. The food puts it over the top! SUNSET SUPPER Gorgeous setting for a decent meal on Nāpili Bay and better prices than some of the other spots near here offering the same. It’s super tragic they have GARBAGE service. I loved my first ever frozen mojito and will think of it often when I’m back home in Oregon. Take what the menu says with a grain of salt. We ordered the mushroom scampi that was supposed to have Ali’i mushrooms, garlic, and parsley. We received shiitakes and tomatoes. When pointed out to server Dianne, she said “The mushrooms are always shiitake.” I double checked the menu at restaurant and online. Both say Ali’i oyster mushroom blend. Booooooo!!!!! Prime rib special was excellent, but veggies served with it were woody. Doesn’t matter if it’s farm to table if the quality isn’t great… Basil crusted fish was FANTASTIC!!!

There aren't enough words to describe just how great this little seaside restaurant truly is. The food is beyond amazing. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We requested a window table to view the sunset and they were even able to get us seated a little early, securing the last window table availability that evening. Our server Patrick was very friendly and had perfect timing. He was attentive but didn't hover and allowed time for my partner and I to enjoy our meal, the sunset and each other. As a San Diego native I can confidently say that the fresh ceviche is probably the best ive ever had. The filet DID NOT disappoint and was super flavorful. Make reservations here if you are looking for an intimate elevated beach side dining experience. As self proclaimed foodies, we highly recommend you give this place a try

Mala Ocean Tavern is a charming beachfront restaurant that offers a blend of Pacific Rim and Mediterranean cuisine along with an extensive selection of wines. Chef Mark Ellman, a pioneer of the Hawaii Regional Cuisine movement, presents a menu featuring dishes such as ahi bruschetta, wok-fried Hawaiian fish, and vegan mushroom Bolognese pasta made with local shiitakes. The restaurant also serves signature cocktails like the Spa Day and the LBC.
What a pleasant surprise find near the old Mala Wharf. Apparently this place somehow survived the Lahaina fire. We came at around 3 pm, so only Happy Hour menu was available, which wasn’t bad at all. We had the taro burger (vegetarian), butter lettuce and deep fried calamari. The taro burger came with Swiss cheese and tasted very good (yes, even without any meat in it) and the fries were crispy and seasoned very well. The salad was really fresh and the dressing was on the sweet side, but acceptable. The calamari was excellent paired with artichoke tartar sauce. The service was excellent from the entire team and our server, China, was friendly and helpful. Now, the seating area was the highlight as the waves were splashing our table while we dine. An added bonus, sea turtle would come to the rocky shore below restaurant m’a windows to munch on the algae. We saw a couple of young ones while we were there. Parking spaces were limited rat the restaurant, but there’s a huge lot across the street where Safeway and the ABC Store are located. The drinks were good as well.

My partner and I have been to most restaurants in and around Lahaina, and we were so happy to have found Mala! We’re both gluten-free and total foodies, and it’s rare to find a place that delivers on both flavor and service — but Mala absolutely did. Our server Thomas was the BEST — friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He knew all the specials, kept our glasses full, and made sure our table was always clean without hovering. The food was outstanding, and Thomas went above and beyond by helping us secure Mother’s Day / birthday reservations seven months in advance! He even introduced us to Sergio, the manager, who took amazing care of us as well. Everything about our experience was perfect — the food, the service, the vibe. If you’re anywhere near Lahaina, do yourself a favor and pull up to Mala for a fantastic meal and some of the best service you’ll find anywhere.

Came here on a Saturday night , day after Halloween, place was half full. I’ve heard a lot about Mala from family & friends , knew i was in for a treat. My wife, 25 weeks pregnant , eats plant based and there were several options for her. Our server, Carlos, was soft spoken but confident & gave us great pointers - he’s someone you just know you can trust. I got the ceviche w the sweet potato Chips , my wife got the Brussel sprouts to start, both were just fantastic! The brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection & the ceviche i got was in this rich coconut broth that i ended up drinking. Really refined and confident flavors. For our main dish, my wife got the vegan curry & i was stuck between the pork shank (Carlos said it falls off the bone) and the pan seared mahi mahi (which i ended up getting). While the portion size of the mahi mahi was on the smaller side, the actual dish was huge — Yukon potatoes and a great ginger sauce with mushrooms and carrots - just really full flavor. Id like to note that i got their version of a Mai tai as well as a gin drink that were some of the best cocktails I had during our trip. Pricing was fair and the food quality was just superb - couple that with Carlos service and the incredible waterfront views — you got yourself a fantastic meal . Would RUN back. Also, their sambal was SPICY!

Our happy hour dinner at Mala was amazing. The best meal and experience we had in Maui. Sitting right on the ocean with island views and a nice breeze, drinking outstanding cocktails and eating local food. The service from Thomas was outstanding, and he shared lots of knowledge with us about the sea life in the harbor and the local ingredients in their food. You absolutely MUST try the bruschetta. Thank you so much!

Would not come back here. We had dinner here last night for my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Our server was wonderful—warm, attentive, and accommodating—and our table by the ocean was beautiful. However, the food quality and flavor fell far short of expectations, especially for a restaurant so highly rated. It honestly ruined what was meant to be a special evening; we didn’t even feel like ordering dessert to celebrate. For starters, we ordered the Ube bread and the Poisson Cru. The bread arrived cold in the middle, suggesting it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The Poisson Cru lacked the salt, lime, and chili flavor described on the menu—it tasted mostly like fish in plain coconut milk. We then ordered the Caesar salad and the Surf & Turf. The salad was decent, though overly dressed. The Surf & Turf, however, was the most disappointing dish of the night. The filet mignon had no seasoning or flavor, the octopus was bland, and the potatoes on the side resembled unseasoned breakfast potatoes rather than a dinner accompaniment. Given the restaurant’s reputation and glowing reviews, we expected a refined, flavorful dining experience. Unfortunately, the dishes lacked balance and care in execution. The service and setting were excellent, but the food was simply not up to par—especially for a special occasion.

We had a wonderful experience at Mala Tavern! The oceanfront view was absolutely beautiful and made the whole meal feel extra special. The pan-fried mahi mahi, scallops, and coconut shrimp were all cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I also highly recommend the Moana Mahina cocktail. Fantastic food, great drinks, and a stunning setting. Absolutely worth a visit! 🌺🍸

Kat was an amazing server and we truly appreciated all her advice this evening. The food was outstanding! From apps to dessert, nothing disappointed. We also truly appreciated the way the team greeted us and celebrated our anniversary. You all truly made it very special, mahalo. We cannot recommend Mala enough, such a wonderful restaurant.

Mala Ocean Tavern was a really nice discovery. I loved the layout of the place—it’s inviting, comfortable, and has a great vibe for both dining and relaxing. The food and drinks are solid, tasty, and reasonably priced, definitely not overpriced. It’s a great spot to enjoy a meal, have a drink, and soak in the atmosphere. Whether you’re there for a casual night out or just want a place to unwind, Mala Ocean Tavern is a spot I’d happily recommend.

Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar is a trendy and vibrant eatery that offers Japanese-Pacific Rim cuisine and creative sushi rolls. Located in a plantation-style building, the restaurant is known for its contemporary atmosphere and innovative dishes. The menu features a variety of options, including panko-crusted ahi sashimi, the famous Kapalua Butterfly roll, shrimp dynamite, crab ramen, and Asian shrimp cake.
Great place for good sushi and seafood. The Grilled Hawaiian Ahi and Shrimp Cake plate was unbelievable and to drink, the Kai Tai was perfect. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful with the menu regarding what our kids can/can't eat. Even talked to the chef to cater to our kids food needs.

Unbelievable! This was the best overall dining experience in Maui. Chris was our waiter and knew every dish and had phenomenal recommendations. We spent half as much as Mama’s fish house and got twice the food and quality
Tyson N — Google review
Came here last night as recommended by a friend’s friend & it did not disappoint! We made a reservation a couple hours beforehand but I’m not sure if it was really needed. Our server, Sonny, was the best! For small plates ordered the panko crusted ahi as recommended by Sonny, & also the lobster crab ravioli which were both delicious. For rolls we did the Hawaiian, scallop & cucumber, spicy hamachi, takah, & unagi rolls which were all tasty. The prices seemed reasonable & weren’t significantly more than what I would pay for sushi at home. I would definitely come again & recommend to friends & family. (For pictures, I didn’t take one of the lobster crab ravioli or I think the unagi roll)

My brother and I heard that there was a 50% off happy hour at Sansei from 5pm-5:45pm so we figured we'd give it a try since we were fairly close at Napili Point Resort. We got there about 4:55pm and there was a big line that we got at the end of. We got the second to last table in the entire restaurant! Our server Chris was phenomenal and very knowledgeable about the food. He was excellent and if you go, ask for Chris! Our sashimi was melt in your mouth good and super fresh. We splurged and it was worth every bite!

Sansei is more than just a sushi spot—it’s a Hawaiian culinary experience that masterfully fuses Japanese tradition with bold Pacific Rim creativity. Whether you're dining in Honolulu, Waikoloa, Kapalua, or Kihei, expect a lively atmosphere, exceptional service, and a menu that surprises and delights. The food? Fresh, flavorful, and adventurous. The Asian Rock Shrimp Cake is a must-try appetizer: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and rich in umami. The Mango Crab Salad Hand Roll is a tropical dream—sweet, creamy, and perfectly balanced. And the Panko-Crusted Ahi? A standout dish with a golden crunch that gives way to silky, seared tuna. The vibe is upbeat yet casual, perfect for everything from romantic dates to group dinners. The staff are warm and attentive, adding a touch of aloha to every interaction. Sansei manages to be both a local favorite and a tourist treasure. It’s the kind of place you remember long after the vacation ends—and the kind of food you wish you could bring home with you. Rating: 9/10 – A flavor-packed must-visit

Our only regret is we discovered this place the 2nd to last night of our trip but we did make it two nights in a row! If you’re staying at the Ritz, do yourself a favor and make the 7 minute walk here for dinner. Having come back from my first trip to Japan 2 months ago, my standards for sushi were high. However, the melt in your mouth butterfish nigiri along with a tuna crunch roll, was the perfect marriage of US style rolls and Japanese fresh fish. Service was phenomenal both times we were there. We hope to come back soon!

We stopped here for a dinner date night while staying at the near by hotel. Craving some sushi, it’s nice to have this restaurant close by to the hotel. The food we ordered was tasty and the fish fresh.

Wow!! You absolutely must try the butterfish. It is hands down one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. The sauce was perfection and it just melts in your mouth. All of the food was excellent, we ordered so much! Nothing disappointed. Us and we had a great time. We went on Monday and showed up around 4:45 to a big line of people waiting for the happy hour. It was a perfect dinner for our last night in Maui!

Restaurant
The Fish Market Maui, located in Lahaina, is a beloved spot for seafood enthusiasts. This small fish market offers a delectable selection of fresh catches from local fishermen, including Ahi, Ono, Mahi, and Opakapaka. Whether you're dining in or taking out, you can savor their mouthwatering poke bowls and fish-inspired dishes. The casual eatery also serves up popular options like fish tacos and grilled fish sandwiches.
We walked here tonight around 6pm from Aston Mahana. I was hoping to get poke, but unfortunately they were sold out when we got there. I got 2 shrimp tacos instead & they were delicious (I paid $13 for the 2 tacos instead of I think $16.99 as I didn’t want the rice & whatever salad came with it). My husband got the fish & chips. The food was tasty. There is seating inside & outside.
Nicole L — Google review
My pre-trip online research of this place sounded fantastic. Maybe because it was their last hour, 6pm- 7, and they got a big last min rush of customers- the associates ( at the dinner side & the fish counter side ) all seemed really stoic and unfriendly. Maybe they were tired/ maybe a little hospitality training will be an easy fix. So I ordered macadamia nut encrusted ahi and a Fish Chowder. The chowder was a large serving but had 1 maybe 2 small chunks of fish! I ended up just drinking it like a beverage. Wish their was more fish- because the liquid tasted good. Maybe he didn't scoop down into the Tureen? Maybe all the earlier customers got all the fish? The fish was dry. The rice was almost cold. The Mac salad needs more (spices) flavor. Sorry, but $42 deserves better quality.
Ernie T — Google review
Pricey tacos at $6.50 but know that the food is good and comes out hot if it’s supposed to be. Indoor seating and plenty of free parking. Everything was fresh and the salsa was fresh and the sauce have a distinctive clammy taste to it, which was very unique and it tasted good and not like the typical island dressing taste.
Karina K — Google review
Excellent fresh fish tacos. Deep fried tempura style, pico, cream sauce ,cabbage. I had two on the combo plate with mac salad and steamed rice. Line of people at the door when they opened. Tables out front to enjoy. Busy place. Delicious
William D — Google review
Make smart choices and get the Mahi Macadamia Nut special if it’s available. They have the Daily Specials menu listed above and would encourage to go with their specials based on your preferences. This was the best cooked dishes I’ve had in my life, and their sauce made it out of this world. Truly wish I could bring a jar of it home. Delicious mac salad and coleslaw as well, and very enjoyable to have their house made chips and pico but… we all know the Star was that fish and sauce. Heavy wait times depending on when you go, but was recommended by a local and they did not steer us wrong 🤙
Briana V — Google review
The Baja taco and ahi steak sandwich was amazing! Price was reasonable. The sea food was fresh and memorable. Very flavorable. They offer seating. Highly recommend
Jennifer K — Google review
Not much to say about this place but YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE! My family had, fish tacos, fish sandwich, fish burrito and coconut shrimp. Definitely a must eat place. Not a lot of seating so taking it to go is better if you're staying close. When we come back it'll for sure be a go to place.
Danny V — Google review
I was really excited to try this poke, but I ended up disappointed. The portions are all weighed separately and the prices add up quickly — I paid $46.50 for this meal, which felt way too expensive for what it was. The taste was okay, but nothing special compared to other poke places in Maui. They also don’t explain clearly how the pricing works, which makes it confusing. Overall, not worth the price.

Nestled in the Ka'anapali Villas, Castaway Cafe is a relaxed waterfront restaurant offering a blend of innovative American cuisine with a touch of island flavor. The cafe boasts stunning ocean views and is known for its fresh fish dishes, including the signature Macadamia Nut Mahi Mahi served with creamy macadamia nut sauce, rice, and vegetables.
Nestled in the well kept, Aston Maui Ka'anapali Villas, with beautiful views of the ocean and islands. Our server Concetta was charming, funny, conversational and attentive, loved her. My husband ordered the short rib Benedict, with potatoes. Mild creamy hollandaise sauce, with savory delicious short ribs, that tasted like they were slow cooked for hours, with great care I had a virgin bloody Mary, that was way better and more tasty, than regular tomato juice. I ordered the crab cakes Benedict, w/potatoes. My hollandaise sauce was perfect and creamy. A top soft English muffins, was twin delicious crab cakes. You could tell the crab was super fresh, as they did not smell or taste fishy, like frozen crab cakes that we have on the mainland. Each plate was adorned with a beautiful edible flower. I did eat the flower and it tasted good. All the staff was super friendly, many greeted us upon arrival, and thanked us for coming, wishing us a great day upon leaving. I highly recommend you put this on your vacation to do list. 5 out of 5 stars

Probably the most consistent restaurant of them all. They are not on the beach front like other restaurants, but the food the great, the service was great, and there was shade. It is difficult to find if you are not familiar with the are or staying in a hotel right next to it. I feel it is a smaller restaurant so seating may be difficult during busy hours. But it was definitely worth the find for the food. We got the shrimp appetizer and they were fantastic. Then we had the fish tacos... Pretty much a staple menu item for all restaurants in that area 😂. As you can see from my pictures you are in view of the ocean, just not on the beach. Great job all around and when we come back this will be a place we come back to.
Casey S — Google review
We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and deliciousness of the dishes we tried at the Castaway Cafe. TIP*- you may go to the front desk of the Aston villas and get a parking pass when you tell them you are visiting for food at the castaway. We had the crab cakes egg Benny and the short rib loco moco both were super delicious and we scarfed them down faster than we should have. Service was friendly and attentive. Our waters coffee and iced tea were always topped off. Great atmosphere with open air and outdoor seating with great views of the beach. We would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in west Maui. Sorry no pics of food. We got some pics on the other camera then ate it all so quick there was no evidence left for pics. We would def go back on our next visit.

We walked down the board walk and had an Amazing breakfast! My husband had loco moco and he said it was the best one he’s had so far on the island. I had the eggs Benedict and it took second place compared to my very favorite. It was absolutely beautiful to see the ocean from where we sat loved the service Jamie did a wonderful job. Definitely can’t wait to come back again. Cool cozy and perfect for a morning date with your husband!

Great Breakfast With Big Portions and Ocean Views! We had breakfast at Castaway Café yesterday and really enjoyed it. We arrived right when they opened at 8:00 AM and there was already a line out the door, but the staff moved quickly and we were seated in the section closest to the ocean. It was covered, which was perfect since the rain came and went — we stayed completely dry while still enjoying the view. The food portions were large and everything tasted great. We ordered the breakfast burrito and an omelette, and both were excellent. Our server was very attentive, and the pricing felt more than fair considering the portion sizes and beachfront location. We would definitely come back again for breakfast here.
Kevin O — Google review
Solid breakfast - Loco Moco desire satisfied and my son had pancakes (no accounting for taste!). Gravy was tasty and burger was tender... Eggs (requested over medium) came out over hard, but they immediately fixed it to "over easy" (which it seems is california "over medium") and that fixed it. Pan cakes were good, according to my son. Had iced coffee that was refreshing. Simple meal, but worth going. Got there right at 8:00 (opening) and there were 20 people in line, if that says anything. Only issue was sitting outside there were lots and lots and lots of flies - not sure why, since we haven't experienced that elsewhere sitting outside. Probably would forego the view and sit inside and that would have made it solid 4+ stars throughout. Definitely a good place to try the loco moco, among other things, for breakfast! They also had "short rib" loco moco, which I may try next time!

Every year when we visit Kaanapali, this restaurant is one of our favorite breakfast stops. Conveniently located along the beach walk, it’s the perfect place to start the day. The French toast are flavorful, and the omelette with Portuguese sausage is a standout. Add a tropical drink and the warm, friendly service, and you have a perfect Maui morning.

This is a surprise little restaurant right on the water. Looks like it's been there for awhile, so it gave us a bit of an old school look. Definitely not flashy or loud. Just a great place to have lunch or dinner in a calm environment. We sat out doors and watched the sunset. Beautiful place to be! It wasn't very busy, so our waitress was very attentive to our needs (not that we are generally needy). Our party of four had two fish & chips and the other two, the fish of the day, a lovely Butterfish. I've never had it or even heard of it, but it was the BEST! The sauce over the fish just enhanced the flavors. Overall highly recommended for a nice dinner in a quiet space.

If you're on the hunt for a frozen treat paradise, look no further than Island Cream Co. This beloved establishment boasts an impressive selection of over 150 flavors, with 36 made fresh daily! Each scoop is crafted by hand using only natural ingredients—no preservatives in sight—ensuring that every bite bursts with authentic flavor straight from nature's bounty. Island Cream Co. has become a favorite among both locals and visitors alike, thanks to its inventive offerings that go beyond traditional ice cream.
This Ice Cream was so good! We went back again on another day! And on our next trip to Maui we look forward to going back to Island Cream! It’s the best! My favorite was the pineapple cream made with fresh Maui Gold pineapple.

A popular spot for obvious reasons, Island Cream Co has made a mark for itself by serving up delicious ice cream and shave ice in the area. Parking in the area is abundant and the place is clean despite syrup stations being out in the open. The shave ice is self serve on syrups so you can go crazy on yours or just add light flavoring. If you want ice cream or anything else they will prepare it in full for you behind the counter but beware of any allergies as we saw a worker scoop different flavors with the same scoop after the first scoop had touched one with nuts. We ordered multiple different flavors of the ice cream and most were pretty good. They do also include a rolled chocolate wafer which was a nice touch for those who enjoy it. For those in our party who ordered the shave ice, they said it was good as well. The seating is a bit limited in the store so beware you may need to wait or take your stuff to go. This place has very good bones and I think one or two changes would make it even better, they have a unique product and we would recommend giving it a go if you’re in the area.

We were truly delighted by our experience at Taverna. Excellent food, excellent service, and an excellent atmosphere. We were seated at a table overlooking the picturesque golf course, which made the evening even more special. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. The place itself is warm, well-located, and beautifully designed. While the menu is priced slightly above average, it matches the quality of the culinary experience. Definitely worth it for the overall value. Highly recommended

If you're looking for a great italian-themed restaurant that is not on the beach, this is the spot. It is located right on the golf course. They have a huge patio that opens up with plenty of views. Their Pizza is very traditional with a flat crust and all of the other dishes are amazing. We really enjoyed the Ahi and the steak. Make sure you make reservations, it is a hit or miss as to how busy they will be on any given night. With their clothes location to the Ritz-Carlton I am sure they get a lot of clientele from there. Do you have a great wine selection and a full bar.

We ended up at Taverna during the tsunami last week and I have to give them mad props. They not only stayed open but were extremely accommodating for what had to be 100+ people while we waited it out on high ground. They didn't have the usual staff and it was understandably chaotic, but they offered pizza and lasagna, plus all sorts of great drinks to keep people fed and distracted. The woodfire pizza was tasty! Kids were kept busy on the golf course it boarders. The best of a stressful situation. I'm so thankful for the owner and staff at Taverna! THANK YOU!

Finally the tiramisu was spectacular! We finalized the night with capuchino. The service was simplyAWSOME!! General manager Lance, Alejandro our waiter and assistant Mia made the night a very special one. When we came in we were greeted like family by Manager Ana. We've enjoyed breakfast here two days in a row so far. TONS of options to choose from; even the picky eaters have a lot of good items to choose from. Lots of variety; some staple items available every day but they switch it up, too. Love the view and the cold brew...ah! So good. We have been eating like kings and queens!

We booked a stay through Costco so we got complimentary breakfast for 2 adults ( around $36 per person). For kids, they charge based on the age (It was 8 dollars for an 8-year-old son). For a complimentary breakfast buffet, we liked the spread. We enjoyed the amazing ambiance and the service was good. coffee/juices were served to the table. The buffet starts at 6:30 am. Mask is mandatory when we pick the food. They also mandate fresh disposable gloves to pick food. Loved the juicy pineapples at the fruit bar. Being a vegetarian we had fewer options but everything that was on the menu tasted good. Bread pudding in the everyday buffet is one of my favorite. Every day they had boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cheese omelette, veggie omelette. Some days I saw frittata daily they alternated pancake and waffle also daily they have a pastry section with freshly baked croissants, muffin (blueberry /chocolate), rolls (almond/cinnamon), bread (banana /carrot), danish (coconut/pineapple, etc.) In addition to these, they had whole apple, oranges, cereal varieties, etc.
Traditionally F — Google review
Well, I dunno how to rate this. Booking through Costco got us 2 free adult breakfasts(valued at $36 a piece) and if you have free breakfast credits it's a solid option. Would I pay $36 daily for this? Not in a million years. The food is ok but it isn't anything dramatically better than a typical hotel buffet(at least considering the cost). The fruit is fantastic and the baked goods were a hit. I found the bread pudding to also be good. Coffee was bitter, eggs very dry. Bacon could either be almost burned or super soft and almost undercooked. I feel like if I'm basing this off my cost(essentially $24+ tip) I'd give it a 4, but since not everyone will get free breakfast I'm rating it off a assumed cost of $36. At that point I'd I have to give it a 2 star rating.

We ate breakfast here several times, the name says swans court because there are real swans in the beautiful gardens with ponds including a waterfall. In the morning the birds are singing and ducks swimming in the pond. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff is helpful and the food was slightly different each day. The bacon was perfect each day. The food is buffet style . We enjoyed starting our days out by dining here. This place is very clean and the food is fresh.

Had a fantastic breakfast here. My wife and I loved the view with the waterfall and ducks. The buffet had a great selection for Pescitariean and vegetarians which we appreciated. My favorite was the smoked salmon, stuffed crescent rolls, and bread pudding. My wife loved the cheesy potato bake and the waffle. During our visit there wasn't a omelet or pancake station but I think that helped reduce the wait.

Checked in using QR code and got a text saying table was ready. Then we went to the restaurant but still was asked by the host at the check in desk to wait in the same line as people who didn't sign up using the QR code. So what is the point of signing up using the QR code? One of the host at the front desk was particularly rude - didn't even bother to explain why we have to wait again if we were told the table was ready. Service minimum. Food below average.

Burger Shack is a laid-back beach stand that offers a delectable selection of burgers, seafood, shakes, as well as beer and cocktails. Located on the sandy shores of Kauai, it provides stunning ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for beach downtime and indulging in hearty burger offerings.
We had heard great things about Burger Shack and wanted to try it ourselves. We were not disappointed. We had such a fun lunch eating burgers and drinking milkshakes. The views from the tables were outstanding and added to the ambiance. For a "shack" that serves burgers it wasn't cheap but it is on the Ritz Carlton property so we knew that going in. If you're looking for a good burger and shakes, then this should be a place for you to check out.
Jason B — Google review
We ate here twice during our trip to Maui while staying at the Ritz. Once for poke and once for a burger. Both times we also treated ourselves to a tasty milkshake. Do yourself a favor and skip the whipped cream as it’s not very tasty on the shake. The views for this little burger shack are nice, ocean views overlooking the local beach. If you’re staying at the Ritz and using their beach I’m sure you’ll enjoy a meal here.
Bay R — Google review
The location here is fantastic, right on the water, beautiful views. It's a little tricky to get to, exit off highway 30 and followed the signs to DT Fleming Beach. The parking is not so good, there's a tiny lot that is free and almost always full. A somewhat bigger lot is across the street but they charge $35 to park. It's not so bad a deal if you're going to stay there all day and swim snorkel etc because the $35 covers 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but if you're only going for a burger, well ya know. The food is pricey around $30 to $39 for a burger and fries. However, the food is really outstanding. It's not quite as good as it was a couple of years ago, at that time I asked to be taken to the kitchen so I could give them a "my compliments to the chef!" It truly was the best burger I ever eaten in my life. Still really good now, not quite as seasoned and a bit smaller. But that's pretty much what everything in America is now. It is absolutely worth checking out, especially if you go for the whole day and enjoy the beautiful beach.

We stumbled upon this gem and ended up coming back multiple times during our trip! The outdoor seating offers absolutely incredible views, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed and scenic afternoon meal. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The service was consistently excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. Whether you're just passing through or staying nearby, this spot is a must for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable lunch in a beautiful setting.

Never eaten a burger with a better view! This spot is right on the ocean with stunning views of the water and islands. Burgers are huge so come with an appetite or split a burger with a friend. They were nice enough to cut our burger in half and even had the option of choosing two different sides ($3-ish extra charge for splitting). Fries were thick and crispy and the side salad was refreshing and a good portion. We ordered the Double Decker Burger which was super tall and juicy but really messy which wasn’t a problem for me but wouldn’t recommend on a first date… also tried the Oreo Cookie shake which was delicious and just what we expected. Someone in our group ordered the Hula Girl shake and said it tasted very tropical and came with an Almond Joy on top. We wanted to try the Royal Kona (coffee and chocolate chip cookie) shake but they ran out by the time we ordered (2:00pm on a Monday). Make a day of it by bringing beach chairs/snorkel gear and head to the water just below the restaurant after eating! It’s a pretty far walk from the Ritz Carlton, with walking shoes, it might be worth checking out the beautiful hotel up the hill. Our party of 6 plus a toddler was able to sit at a big table together and they brought out a high chair. Chickens and birds were running around everywhere which was great entertainment, especially for the toddler. Parking lot was pretty full, but we were able to find a spot quickly and QR code payment was easy. Great burgers, great location, great service!
Melia — Google review
Delicious food right in front of the beach with great service. We ordered the fish tacos, which were delicious, and the chicken burger, which was also good. Definitely worth it for the view — a place we’ll be back to! Parking lot is paid.

Honestly the burgers were just ok and for 30$ that’s just not it. The shakes are a 5/5 however! Wait staff and the manager walking around were very kind (low key our waitress might have been having a bad day, but that happens). I would recommend for the vibes but check the price to make sure you really want it first.

This place is beyond delicious! We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, and it was so convenient to grab a burger and head straight to the lounge chairs on the beach. The burger itself was a solid 10/10. Highly recommend!

Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice is a popular spot located at the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali, offering a refreshing and exotic twist on the traditional shave ice. With flavors like pickled mango, lychee, passion fruit, and more, it provides a wide range of options to satisfy your cravings. The sweet treat is made with finely shaved ice flavored with colorful syrups and can be topped with various sweet ingredients such as macadamia nut ice cream.
I think about this shave ice at least once a week — it was so good!!! I got mine topped with the Li Hing Mui Powder which was the best decision I could have made — it gave it a savory touch and really rounded out the flavors. My tip would be to keep an eye on the line (it can get very long) and grab some shave ice when it goes away!
Melissa G — Google review
We ordered Mango and a combination of (mango, pineapple, and coconut ) shave ice. flavor Mango- good Pineapple - ok Coconut - bland Though they poke holes on the ice, after a few initials spoon I felt like eating ice. the texture of the ice was so different hurry to finish it else within a few minutes we might end up with slush.
Traditionally F — Google review
Best shaved ice place. The ice is like soft snow in your mouth which makes it so good. I got cherry, lime and blueberry which was amazing. To top it off, the ice cream at the bottom was so smooth and tied everything together.

This shave ice parlor is located near the beach behind the Hyatt Regency hotel in Maui. They have a large variety of flavors and toppings. It's one of the best ice cream treats I have ever had.

We love their shave ice. All of the flavors we’ve tried have been delicious and there are so many to choose from. I love the lilikoi. We always get the macadamia nut ice cream on bottom and it’s delicious! This location is great since you can enjoy it while looking out at the water.
Julie C — Google review
Since it’s my first shave ice in Hawaii, I can’t say it’s the best but I personally really liked it. The macadamia ice cream base was a great choice. Also kid size is still quite big. All the tables were taken so we decided to head over to the beach to enjoy this treat.
PKTravels — Google review
Best shaved ice in Maui! We tried several shaved ice places when we were in Maui—this was our favorite. I got the sunset with macadamia nut ice cream and a sno cap. It was so good! 😋
Lacey H — Google review
Very impressive shave ice! I thought it would be a snocone but the consistency is very smooth and with the condensed milk topping it becomes very creamy! "The best" was the best to us : coconut, passion fruit, and mango. Normally I love coconut but the passion fruit was best. Try adding some rum to the leftover liquid for a great drink! Price ranges from $5-8 without topping.

Visited here twice during our week trip in Maui. We wanted to support a local business and were so glad that we did! The lattes were delicious as were their baked goods. We also purchased most of our gifts from here. Super chill spot and highly recommend!
Denise P — Google review
Comfortable, kind, and conveniently located in the Ka’anapali area, this little coffee shop offers quick breakfast and simple coffee for those looking for exactly those things. I ordered a French toast bagel with cream cheese and a 12oz latte (with 2 shots) and walked out for $15 before tip. There is a cute and modest selection of retail goods like mugs, coffee, and beverages in the fridge. The decor is tiki-bar adjacent with a comfortable bench spanning one side of the seating area with some tables. The day I went was overcast and I appreciated the warm lighting instead something sterile and bright. While I’ve enjoyed better coffee, I am not one to condemn/judge a shop based off of my preferences. Sure, the coffee wasn’t for me, but it could totally be for someone. The frappe menu seemed to be popular so perhaps next time I’ll try one of those. Looking for an esoteric 3rd wave experience with big name roasters and specialty coffees? This isn’t the shop for you. Looking for a coffee and bagel, smile and laugh? This is totally the place. Additionally, they accidentally made my first coffee cold even though I made it hot and they just offered for me to keep the mistake! So sweet!!

Walked over to Island Press Coffee this morning after my swim in the ocean since it’s close to my hotel — and I’m so glad I did! Oh man, I loved the vibe here. The coffee was delicious, and the lady working behind the counter was incredibly nice and welcoming. 100% recommended — if you’re in the Kāʻanapali/Lahaina area and looking for tasty breakfast sandwiches and great coffee at a reasonable price, this is the spot. Worth noting: cafés across the street charge nearly double for breakfast sandwiches of similar quality. Island Press Coffee gives you both flavor and value.

Stopped in and tried the Mac Nut Latte, which was solid. Prices were fair at about $7, much better than the $10+ charged at resort spots. Plenty of parking and several other restaurants and stores nearby, making it an easy and convenient stop. Worth checking out if you are in the area. Only oddity was the lady helping us put coffee on counter but never told us. Nobody in there. Maybe we should have paid more attention but after 5 minutes we finally realized our drink had been sitting there. LOL 🤣

The coffee is good but the staff is phenomenal! Nicole specifically is a super star and was so nice and accommodating to my needs.

This place is just ok. They dont serve Kona coffee, just local Maui, which I find to be acidic n bitter, especially the medium n dark roasts. Tried one pastry, a coconut pineapple loaf. It was dry and I couldnt taste the coconut. Also had a small ham and cheese on croissant. it tasted fine, but it was very small.

Baya Bowls is a vibrant food truck located in Lahaina, Maui, offering a delightful selection of acai bowls and smoothies. The traditional acai bowl comes with organic granola, local fruits, coconut, and honey as toppings. Customers can also customize their bowls with additional toppings like pineapple, kiwi, peanut butter, and more for a small fee. This affordable newcomer has quickly become popular among the local beach community for its healthy options and refreshing cold brewed coffee.
So fresh and delicious! The owner is often there and is someone to support! You will not be disappointed with both the tropical smoothies and the vibrant açaí bowls. The location is easy to find and is right on the beach. Enjoy the sounds of waves as you eat your açaí bowl in paradise 🙂
Griffin R — Google review
Baya Bowls Maui is a cute spot with friendly service and a great location for a quick, healthy bite. The ingredients were fresh and the presentation was really nice. I tried the açaí bowl, which was good but not as bold in flavor as I was hoping—felt a little mellow compared to others on the island. Still, it hit the spot on a hot day and had a great mix of toppings. It’s a solid option if you’re nearby and craving something light and refreshing. I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Peter F — Google review
Had two different items here, a yummy açaí bowl and a fruit coffee smoothie as well. They are both perfect and delicious on a hot sunny day at the beach.

Baya Bowl is one of those places you’ll be glad you didn’t miss—but make sure to check the hours, because they’re limited! This spot serves up some seriously amazing food that looks just as good as it tastes. The staff are super nice and friendly, adding to the laid-back, welcoming vibe. Don’t let your eyes fool you—what might look like a small bowl at first will have your taste buds begging for a bigger size. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. A must-stop for anyone craving something delicious and refreshing! Shop local and remember to pay with cash
Tommy L — Google review
Great tasting bowl and they were generous with the granola, but my son said the peanut butter add-on was too little; maybe the ratio was off because we ordered a large? The açaí itself was slightly on the runny side, but other than that a solid bowl. Mildly annoyed that the prices on their website were outdated, so posting a current menu here. Staff is friendly and pretty quick; I always appreciate an acknowledgment even if they can’t help me right away. They are located in the paid lot at DT Flemings Beach and there was person monitoring the day we went. I suggest flagging them down and checking if it’s okay to park without paying if you are only there to order food and not going to the beach.

Alchemy | Maui is a kombucha bar and bistro located in Lahaina, offering a diverse menu with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, meat, and seafood options. The establishment prides itself on its Valley Isle Kombucha brewed on-site. Founded by twin brothers Bryan and Mark Willard, Alchemy Maui combines their expertise in kombucha brewing and baking. The cafe has garnered praise for its delicious sandwiches, tacos, and a variety of kombucha flavors available on tap.
Amazing service and very high quality kombucha, sandwiches and tacos. On the upper end of my personal budget for food, but totally worth it! Pictured is the lobster sandwich, the chicken club sandwich, and the fish tacos. We loved that the tacos had a kick to them and the Maui slaw was the perfect compliment to all the food. Tried four of the kombucha flavors and liked all of them but my favorite was the huckleberry and pea flower one (the purple one in the photo). Enjoyed sitting outside while it was sprinkling rain, as we were totally protected under the roof overhang. Highly recommend! Felt like a hidden gem type of place.

Great kombucha selections! James greeted us at the counter and was super sweet and helpful! We tried multiple seasonal and year-round kombuchas and settled on Tahitian Lime. Had a pesto veg sandwich and substituted eggplant for seasoned sautéed peppers, the baguette was fresh and sandwich tasted great. The accompanying hot sauce was special. Had the truffle fries and they were slightly under but edible. Would recommend!

Hands down best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. Took my family here and everyone was raving about how good their sandwiches were and are still talking about it. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, it’s kind of in an unexpected area. MUST get the ahi panini, best ever!! Massive piece of fish, super flavorful and the sandwich was huge. Also highly recommend the surf club and the Maui cheese steak. Wowow so good. My sister got the falafel wrap, and it was good but nothing special. Their kombucha is house made and they have such yummy flavors. Also, their sour dough is unbelievably delicious, I have gluten sensitivity and I was able to eat the bread due to the low gluten levels. Cannot wait to come back!

Amazing sandwiches! The Pastrami was the best we had. The best kombucha I have every tried too, and I don’t really like kombucha. Ginger and Pineapple and the local passionfruit one were my favorites.

I loved the lemongrass chicken banhmi bowl! The rice was cooked perfectly and the texture of the veggie noodles were so fresh and crunchy! I also was upsold on one of their craft kombuchas on tap, and as someone who normally hates the stuff, I LOVED it. I got a hibiscus coconut flavor and it was so crisp and refreshing.

Super friendly staff and great menu options. Kombucha has a good variety of flavors that will make you want to try them all. Portions are good for the price all options are healthy and fresh. Not the typical Hawaiian fare but great stop to mix things up. Would recommend to anyone visiting.

We came based on the good reviews, and everything was just so amazing. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and there is a nice shaded outdoor seating area. The banh mi bowl was out of this world with so much flavor, and the sourdough in the panini definitely lived up to the hype. It was also our first time trying kombucha, and what we sampled here was really refreshing and wonderful.

I loved this place! The first impression that you have when you go in: so chic! I dont know how to explained, but the atmosphere is so chill the decoration its so picturesque, little gardens everywhere, so clean and you can see how they take care of each little details. The prices are really cheap for the good food that you will get. I ate the falafel wrap that i saw before on their instagram page and i couldn't resist and finally i went to meet that place, and i though it was going to be smaller, it was sorprised that it was big enough and also with a kale salad on a side that was extremely delicious. They make their own sourdough bread and wraps bread and definitely you can taste the fresh and quality of the bread, seriously everything it was delicious. They also have a lot of flavors of koombucha on tap, take order by phone to go, and also sale loaf of their own homemade breads.

Great food truck spot in West Maui with lots of options—Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Hawaiian, and sushi. I tried the drunken noodles, which were amazing, the pineapple fried rice, which was okay, and the shrimp taco plate, which was pretty good. Seating is limited, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
Druthi U — Google review
The atmosphere wasn't great because there were a couple of trucks playing some aggressive music kind of loudly that were splashing over each other and some with crude and vulgar language. I'm wearing sandals or flip-flops and the stones were quite sharp and large and uncomfortable to walk on. So the atmosphere was not great the selection was interesting if not to my liking completely lots of things I wouldn't eat but it may cater to others tastes l. I ate at the Chunky Paniolo Hawaiian food truck. The value I have to say was excellent I got the prime rib dinner which came with 6 oz of prime rib look like more to me and two sides I chose the Greek salad and the macaroni salad. The macaroni salad was average at best the Greek salad wasn't actually Greek salad it was like a cucumber salad with Greek dressing and feta cheese but it was tasty. But the coup de gras was the prime rib it was cooked perfectly tender delicious with a good au jus sauce everything was fabulous because of that.

If you are visiting Maui and staying near Whaler Village/Lahaina- this food truck park is a serious must stop for dinner place! Most trucks open at 5 pm, and the park is always busy by 7 pm. We tried every truck during our 8 night stay next door to the park, and not one meal disappointed! Hooked was a favorite and the Poke was so fresh and amazing! The Sushi truck was a daily hit for our kids who loved the rolls and starters. I would suggest having cash but most trucks take Venmo and cards too. It saved us a lot on groceries by making this our dinner spot, and we had so many options that it never disappointed! The people working are so friendly and the portions are fantastic! Most loved: Pineapple Fried Rice from the Thai truck!

Experience the enchanting "Drums of the Pacific Lū‘au" at the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali, a captivating evening that has been delighting guests since 1980. This vibrant lu'au showcases an array of traditional dances and music from various Pacific Islands, including Samoa, Tonga, and Tahiti. Set under a starlit sky, you'll enjoy a sumptuous Hawaiian buffet featuring local favorites like huli huli chicken and ahi poke while sipping on refreshing tiki cocktails.
We had a great time at the Luau. We had purchased the VIP package for our family of five and had an assigned table in the front row. Things to know for those attending- the line to check in started early. We showed up at 5:15pm and there was probably 100 people in line already. Panic set in as we were not sure why we paid extra if we weren’t doing anything differently. Once you check in though, you realize that you had an assigned seat all along, and the staff directs you into two separate lines. We all received a nut lei and the kids got temporary tattoos. The drinks were freely flowing and the food was great. We all really enjoyed the show and would recommend to those visiting the island
Jennifer C — Google review
watched the Luau show last night with my daughter and we had VIP seating at table 17. It truly felt like a VIP experience since we were the only ones at a long table. The service and food were fantastic, and the show was absolutely spectacular. I really appreciated that the dancers came in all shapes and sizes, not just the typical “perfect curves,” but a variety of beautiful body types. I especially had fun watching the male dancers—they could shake just as well as the women! The entire performance was highly entertaining, and the scenic setting made the night even more special. I highly recommend booking your Luau here for a memorable experience

Great show and solid food. The knives of fire at the end was with the cost of admission. My only disappointment was the portion of the show surrounding the pig in the ground. They pretty much just pretended. But overall great.

This was exactly what I hoped for in a luau. The story, the band, the dancers were all exceptional! The service was amazing. The buffet had a great spread so you could try so many local dishes.

The food was amazing and the service too. It was expensive, but for us was worth it. We could not understand too much the lady on the stage when she was telling stuff about the Hawaiian history because the background noise was too loud :( but we had a nice time and enjoyed it!

While this sort of thing is typically not my choice in entertainment, I would absolutely go again! The performers were all very talented, and it was interesting to learn the different stories that comprise Polynesian culture. The food was plentiful as well, with many different choices, all of which were excellent. I would say the Luau is a must-do as part of any Maui trip.

The entertainment was great - very beautiful costumes and talented dancers. I just wish it felt more authentic. Seemed pretty mass-produced if that makes sense. Something smaller and more local would have been preferred. The food was meh as well. I was really grateful when my 7yo refused to try the food and our server went the extra mile and got him some chicken fingers. LOL

Really good luau, highly recommend. We first saw the show during a brief window, after the Covid shutdown and before they re-instituted the large gatherings ban in 2021. Nestled along the stunning coastline of Maui, the Old Lahaina Luau has been a cherished tradition since 1986. This iconic luau offers guests an authentic Hawaiian experience, complete with traditional cuisine that reflects the rich culinary heritage of the islands. The enchanting setting features a stage surrounded by swaying coconut trees and glowing tiki torches, creating a magical atmosphere for diners.
It’s been almost a year since our family visited and looking back it was one of the highlights of our trip! 5 adults attended (one vegetarian) and I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience. The vegetarian member had been to the excellent Lele on their honeymoon, and we had reservations for the prior year trip which we postponed. Pleasantly surprised Old Lahaina was just as good! We had an amazing table off to the right of the stage, just behind the traditional low seating (not recommend for the older generation unless you are in very good physical condition). The dance and story was outstanding. The views incredible. The food delicious and plentiful. Drinks were not watered down as some other place’s reviews mentioned. Vegetarian option was extremely well done-all dishes were very similar to the non-veg dishes but made with a veg-friendly base. I called a couple of times to insure the vegetarian guest was noted and they were beyond friendly and accommodating and even left a voicemail a day or two before to confirm everything. The weather was gorgeous and the audience participation dancing was fun to watch! Cannot wait to go back-highly recommend Old Lahaina Luau!

We had an amazing time! They greeted us with orchid lei's and a mai Tai and told us to wonder around and enjoy the sunset. We got to watch the pig being pulled out of the ground and they entertained us all evening. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. A great experience overall and the food was decent also.

Food for me was just ok. Pre-selected menu where the food options are not flexible. But this place is all about the atmosphere, culture and the performances by the locals. Me and the wifey had a fun time. The performances were spectacular. Alcohol could be better. Location is beautiful and has a good view of the Old Lahaina sunset.

Is it expensive? Yes. My wife and I only thought of that going into that but once we left we realized you are getting so much for your money actually. We went here for part of our 23rd wedding anniversary and we are very glad we did. Although the parking was a bit nutty, every single person we encountered was so very nice and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. The presentations were insightful as were the dances and also beautiful to watch. HUGE shoutout to our server for recommendations on food and taking the time to explain every food stage to us in detail. Even the bussers kept our glasses topped off without fail. What else could you ask for during a beautiful starry Maui night? We haven't quit talking about our 10/10 luau experience since arriving back home. The night at OLL will be in our hearts and minds for a long time to come. Thank you.

My overall ranking is only reduced due to exorbitant cost to attend. The cost is VERY high. We paid $460 for 2 people. Our waiters were excellent. The Hawaiian vibe is off the charts great. The performances were wonderful but lacked an eye-popping finale. Alcoholic drinks are included. The food is authentic and tasted good, but I think my expectations escalated tremendously based on the cost and as such, I was disappointed with the flavor of the fresh catch and the solitary option for desert. Starts around 5p for seating and ended around 8/8:30.

We weren’t sure which luau we wanted to do, but we are so glad we chose this one. It is not apart of a hotel which makes it more authentic of an experience. The food was AMAZING! We were so full afterwards and it’s all you can drink so you definitely get your moneys worth. They also have demonstrations prior to the show and dinner where you learn about Hawaiian customs. Our server was very attentive and friendly as well as all of the staff. You also get to take home banana bread at the end which was delicious. Great luau and great experience.

I teetered between our resort luau and this luau for weeks but ended up booking the Old Lahaina after so many positive reviews. The price is beyond worth it! The story telling and history throughout the night at times had me tearing up. It was so beautiful! The drinks are weak so ask for more alcohol and the food is traditional but so delicious. There is not a bad seat in the house. We went with table and chair seating as opposed to traditional and it was perfect. The take home banana nut bread was close to being the best thing I’ve eaten on the island. You truly can’t go wrong. Ask for cousin Kyle if you can!! He deserves a raise.

This was my second time going here. First time was in 2012. They've been consistently good on provide the same great food and service. The show was very entertaining. One change to the food was its no longer all you can eat at a buffet table. They bring out food to your table and you're allowed to ask for more. But by the time dinner and dessert are being served its really hard to get more of the main course dishes back. The food is still amazing and enough to fill you up. I mean, how much can you really eat? Ive seen a couple of other luaus on the island from a distance and I still think this was way better.

Ono Kau Kau is a casual dining spot in Lahaina, Maui, offering local seafood, Chinese dishes, and Hawaiian "mixed plate" specials. Despite its unassuming appearance and limited seating, it's known for its affordable prices and friendly staff. Visitors praise the authentic Hawaiian-Chinese style cuisine, with standout dishes like Spam Musubi and Kalua pork with rice and Mac salad. The restaurant's takeout option allows patrons to enjoy their meals while overlooking the ocean.
Authentic taste of the Island. Not much to look at, especially amidst all of the resorts in which it is located, but food and service is fantastic! After discovering early in our trip we ordered their take out a few times and ate it overlooking the ocean for an even better experience. Great offering of local plates and Chinese offerings. Try the mixed plates or BBQ for a good variety. Portions are plentiful and the prices are very reasonable.

Pineapple Coconut shrimp was drenched in mayonnaise. Pork gravy was tasteless. Ribs were dry and all bone. Chicken was dark meat (which is fine) but had to peal off a thick layer of chicken skin. Shrimp were not shelled and fish was dry. Macaroni salad was mediocre. We arrived for dinner at 8:30pm and they informed us that we had to order “to go” because they wanted to go home. Posted closing hours is 9:30pm. Tipped on top of the $40 dinner. Disappointed in this local store.

Come here every year ! As usual food quality was good, consistent and authentic! Owner sings loud when cooking, qiuite a character, cooking is way better than his singing lol ! we ordered for 7 people every dish was great ! Friendly staff, very accomating, try the Musubi, really good ! If you're like me , and focus on the food quality, then this is a 'must try ' Place is a hole in the wall but food is great !

This is a great spot to get some homemade style hawaiian plates and Chinese food. It’s a small operation but they are friendly, welcoming and efficient. I ordered the teriyaki beef and the hamburger. Both were very delicious and affordable. I will definitely come back

I had high hopes for this place but my full family ate here and no one was really happy with their food. We tried a good mix of the different Chinese or Hawaiian dishes and they were all pretty much the same. They also got my order wrong and didn't do anything about it. I won't be going back here anytime soon.

We came here after my girl found it on Google maps searching for food spots while visiting Maui for the first time. We have eaten at over 6 spots all over the island so far, Ono Kau Kau is by far one of the best meals we have had yet and to sweeten the deal our meal was only $25 (We only had water to drink) which is also one of the cheaper meals we have had while on Maui. She got the Kalua pork and lau lau with rice and Mac salad...so amazing and full of robust flavors in every bite of the pork and cabbage. The lau lau is new to me, but I enjoyed it and would eat it again. I personally ordered the loco moco and man, it has been one of the best I have had so far. If you want to enjoy some good quality local food, please check this spot out, small spot with only four tables that seat four and two outdoor tables. Will not disappoint! Our server was kind and extremely friendly - language barrier may present a problem if you are a person that is easily annoyed by "accents", I just put this out there because I know some mainlanders can't seem to tolerate others. ONOLICIOUS!

I really wanted to like this place. It seemed promising. My wife did not want to eat here and wanted to walk out before we ordered because it was far from clean or sanitary. I convinced her to stay because the ratings were good. The portions are very large. It is now 18hrs since we are here and we are still feeling a little stomach upset. Not sick but not great. Wish I would have listened to her!

Very disappointed with the food. Maybe we got a bad batch, but both of our orders were ridiculously salted. The garlic shrimp was dry with minimal flavor except for the abundance of salt. Cheap food and we were excited for local food and the good reviews but unfortunately we were left wanting

Breakfast restaurant
Slappy Cakes is a lively diner in Lahaina that offers a unique dining experience where patrons can create their own pancakes at the table. The restaurant provides a range of fixings such as blueberries, bacon, chocolate, and cheddar, along with various syrups for guests to unleash their inner chefs. In addition to its all-day American comfort food menu, including make-your-own pancakes, Slappy Cakes also caters to gluten-free and vegan dietary preferences.
Slappy Cakes is a large family friendly breakfast/brunch only restaurant. Opens at 7am, closes at 12pm noon. Located just before the Aston Ka'anapali Shores Resort, right off the highway. The first visit, my husband ordered the Slappy Moco, a beef patty, 2 over easy eggs, rice n house made mushroom gravy. I ordered the Brekky hash, a tall formed circle of soft potato chunks, peppers, onions, spinach, n zucchini, topped with 2 poached eggs and micro greens. We also shared the pancakes with generous portion of fresh blueberries and house made lemon curd. I also had the pineapple juice. Second visit, we took advantage of the $10 value off of the pancake batter bottle. There is a non-stick grill in the middle of the table, that you squeeze batter out of the bottle n grill your own pancakes at the table. A fun interactive activity for the family. Numerous choices of pancake add on toppings. The coconut syrup was exceptionally delicious You can also order pancakes the kitchen makes for you We also shared the mushroom egg scramble w/onions, spinach n goat cheese, w/potatoes ,the wheat toast is exceptionally delicious, and a side of Portuguese sausage. We also got a side of sausage gravy, which was perfect on top of the potatoes. They have morning cocktails n mimosas. I got a virgin pineapple, coconut whip drink. Our server Juampi, was friendly, attentive and reminded us to use the $10 off pancake coupon. I highly recommend this place 5 out of 5 stars

The place is kind of rundown but they have some tables with griddles in them so you can make your own pancakes so that’s fun. Food was ok. Our server was nice and the drinks were good. A bit overpriced for what you get. I got the slappy moco. Husband got biscuit and gravy. We weren’t impressed.
Jennifer L — Google review
Great place for breakfast, however it is expensive for eggs and bacon. There is also a kitchen fee that I have never encountered before. They have a really fun option if you want a pancake breakfast, you can grill them yourself at your table. The tables have a built in griddle in the middle. Our server Britney was awesome, friendly and attentive. The food was great too.

Was recommended this place by a friend. We came here twice during our stay in Ka’anapali. We walked both times since it is so close to where we’re staying, but the parking lot seemed to have plenty of parking spots. We were seated immediately both times. Our server today was great but unfortunately I don’t remember our name. I really enjoyed making my own pancakes the 1st visit. The 2nd time I got strawberry pancakes & eggs. My husband got the grand slap both times. While the food was tasty, I’m not giving 5 stars due to concerns of cleanliness. Both visits my husband was given dirty utensils. Today, my plate of eggs had a small green piece on it even though none of our food had anything green in it. And today, my husband’s pancakes had a hair IN it. They did take off his food from our bill which was nice, but cleanliness is super important when it comes to a restaurant

Me and my wife were looking for somewhere to go to breakfast after the place we were planning on going to was completely booked. We ended up going to Slappy Cakes on a whim because we had passed by it at one point during our trip. Turns out it's a DIY pancake restaurant! Not only is that a really cool idea, but it was super good too! Not to mention reasonably priced. The pancakes themselves were super yummy and making our own was super fun. My wife made cute designs, while I just made good pancakes. Overall it was our favorite part of the restaurant. The side were amazing too! If you go, try the breakfast potatoes! They are amazing! Overall super yummy and a really fun idea.

So good, we went there for breakfast and they give nice sized portions. You can also make your own pancakes but we didn't choose that option. But very good, 10/10 would recommend!
Alicia J — Google review
Slappy Cakes is such a fun and unique breakfast spot—but a quick tip: get here early or be ready for a bit of a wait, especially on weekends. It’s totally worth it though. The big draw? You get to make your own pancakes right at the table, which is a blast whether you're with friends, family, or just feeling creative. Highly recommend trying all the batter flavors—they each bring something different and tasty to the griddle. Don’t skip the specials either; the menu rotates some gems that are well worth exploring. The loco moco is just okay, but honestly, everything else is solid. If you're into avocado toast, theirs is next level—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Overall, Slappy Cakes delivers a memorable and delicious DIY breakfast experience you’ll want to come back for.

If you're looking for a delicious, casual Chinese restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, China Bowl is perfect. The food is top-notch and their tofu dish - which features spicy garlic chili - is an amazing way to start your day. Plus, the decor is classic and charming, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends.
Lahaina’s Hidden Gem! Tired of eating poke or musubis? Check out China Bowl Asian Cuisine, a true hidden gem in Lahaina! The food is cooked to order, flavorful, and best of all, no MSG added. I ordered the crispy pan-fried beef noodles, and they were absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy, not greasy at all, and loaded with tender beef. While the restaurant advertises more for takeout, I highly recommend dining in. There’s something special about enjoying your meal fresh, straight from the kitchen to your table. If you’re craving Chinese food in Lahaina, China Bowl Asian Cuisine is my top recommendation!
Real N — Google review
Maui has almost no Chinese restaurants. The handful of ones we do have are not authentic. China Bowl comes pretty close! ATMOSPHERE: They're located in the Fairway Shops, right in the middle of that single-level, classier-looking strip mall on highway 30 in Ka'anapali just north of the bridge. It's a simple, clean, and inviting spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is free and plentiful. MENU: Apps, soups, salads, poultry, meat, seafood, veggies, noodles, rice. No dim sum or custard tart though. Inaugural online menu pics posted. You're welcome. FOOD: Hot & Soup Soup The flavor was spot on, a little sour, a little peppery, slightly thick and piping hot. Delish! Cake Noodle This wasn't listed on the menu, but they were more than happy to make it. The noodles were perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and was covered in a tasty seafood gravy that consisted of scallops, shrimp, and veggies. If seafood isn't your thing, you can customize it. Pot Stickers (8 pcs.) Pork-stuffed, steamed, and flat top-fried perfectly, with a shoyu-based sauce for dipping. Kau Yuk While I'm not a fan of pork belly in general, the meat on this thing was super tender, and yes I did not eat the fat. Its finished in a dark red sauce that looks insanely hot but was far from it, instead tasted creamy-savory. I would've poured that extra gravy on rice but I was stuffed. Absolutely delish! Egg Foo Young They did a twist on the traditional version by topping the eggs with fillers rather than omelette-style, and made it "wet" with the shrimp and veggie sauce from the cake noodles. Beef Broccoli The meat was very tender, with crunchy broccoli, garlic, and carrots in a dark brown savory gravy. Very good version. Chicken & Corn Soup The spoonful I had reminded me of an egg flower soup. Very lightly salted with lots of scrambled eggs and semi-thick consistency. House Fried Rice This was very tasty. It came loaded with bits of pork, chicken and shrimp. The rice was cooked and fried perfectly with savory flavors. Highly recommended! Pan Fried Noodle I'm beginning to understand that "pan fried noodles" in most Chinese restaurants mean the deep-fried, crispy noodles, not noodles stir fried in a pan, and was exactly what I wanted. The poured-over sauce was savory, with tender pieces of chicken, broccoli, cabbage, carrots and broccoli. Another highly recommended dish and a good sized portion. Asparagus Shrimp & Scallops This is a stir-fried dish with hardly any gravy, but loads of flavor. The asparagus and shrimp were tender but still had a light crunch. The amount of scallops were fair. SERVICE: The family of owners were running the place, taking on hosting, serving, and busing. Who knows, maybe even cooking too! The husband, wife & son were all welcoming, friendly, and professional. Very unlike traditional Chinese establishments. Food came out quick and hot. OVERALL: Extensive menu, tasty food, good pricing & portions, terrific service. Yes, I will drive 25 miles to eat here again.

Bland and disgusting food, there were ants crawling everywhere on the tables, and the spring rolls were warm on the outside but ice cold on the inside. Lady was rude as well, and definitely served us unfiltered sink water.

I have no idea why some people complain about this place. Completely unpretentious and super comfortable restaurant. Waitress was very nice and food is rather tasty. China Bowl offers a relaxed vibe, quick service, and tasty Chinese food. The tofu with vegetables prepared with spicy garlic chili is 5 stars. Vegetable beef also excellent. Decor features Chinese Bronze Age early writing system. Ambiance is very casual. Good sized portions for hearty appetite, and great for a quick meal.

This place was great! The egg drop soup was delicious nice and hot! The crab wontons were delicious , maybe a little too salty, but paired with the sweet and sour sauce it was perfect. Chunky Paniolo is a must-visit spot in Kaanapali, offering a delectable selection of barbecue and street food. Their tender prime beef ribs and flavorful mashed potatoes are highly recommended. The menu also features combo plates with chicken dishes, salads, and rice. Visitors rave about the BBQ loaded fries topped with chipotle aioli sauce and pineapple slices, as well as the succulent BBQ ribs that fall off the bone effortlessly.
We got the Loco Moco. It was pretty good for a food truck! Lots of of rice and large patties. The gravy was pretty good too! The Mac salad was a mix of potato salad which was unique.

We had dinner at the Chunky Paniolo food truck, and it was great! Tonight, we both ordered the prime rib with a side of Greek salad and mixed vegetables (corn and green beans). Overall, everything was really good, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. If you’re looking for a satisfying and flavorful dinner, this is definitely a spot worth checking out!
Marci M — Google review
BBQ loaded fries (including a chipotle aioli sauce with small pineapple slices included) with pulled pork and beyond delicious!!! You cannot go wrong with this option at all. The BBQ ribs were tender and the sauce was tangy, yet sweet enough if you are thinking BBQ from regions on the mainland. The meat did fall off the bone so nicely. Sides were decent and filling, although do not expect something over the top either. Staff was courteous. Time for food to be ready outpaced other trucks, so definitely a plus without sacrificing a quality product. If you are in the area, very good BBQ option. Be prepared to pay higher prices though, which then again you should expect being on Maui and the surrounding area continuing to justify these tourist prices. Super easy access and great sitting places in a very open space environment nearest the major highway.
Vincent I — Google review
We ordered the prime rib sandwich and a side of potato mac salad. The sandwich comes with seasoned fries and a lot of them! The side of potato mac salad was also much larger than expected and this meal could easily be shared. We wish we knew that before ordering 2 of everything. We did split the sandwich, fries, and potato Mac salad and the other meal will be shared tomorrow for lunch. Now that the quantity is out of the way, let’s talk about the food! The prime rib sandwich was delicious with a generous portion of meat, cheese, and sautéed onions with au jus on the bread. As mentioned, the fries are seasoned. The potato macaroni salad was good and I enjoyed it—but I’m no local and have only had it on Oahu twice. Atmosphere—I’m giving 3 stars but it’s for the food truck park in general. The tables are dirty, so if you eat here you may want to have some wipes handy.

I read the bad reviews and I'm not sure I went to the same place. We got the BBQ Pull Pork & Prime Rib, both of which were very nice...especially the pull pork had a lot of nice flavor (pineapple, etc). I'd definitely go again!

Ordered prime rib plate, meat was flavorless, vegetables had a canned flavor, rice flavorless as well. Would not recommend, suggest spending your money on other food trucks nearby.
Jose R — Google review
DO NOT EAT HERE. Worst ribs I’ve ever had: dry, flavorless and covered in kraft Heinz bbq sauce. Cole slaw has zero flavor. Vegetables are straight out of a can, rubbery and terrible. Oh, and on top of that every thing came out luke warm to cold. Can confidently say the worst food truck experience I’ve ever had. The order taker was also borderline rude. Shut this garbage truck of a food truck down for everyone’s sake. Thanks for ruining my evening and stealing my $25. Threw out the meal after a couple bites. Donating this to a homeless person or street dog would be rude.

Was pretty excited to try. But it tasted a lot like Lloyd’s pre-cooked bbq pork. All sauce with small strings of meat… at 20 bucks a plate there is just too much good food nearby that has care put into it. None of my family finished their meals. Ribs didn’t seem fresh. But rather cooked this morning and kept on a warming rack…

Maui Poke is a popular Hawaiian dish that has gained recognition in North America, with poke shops popping up in various cities. In Maui, the signature Poke Bowl offers a delightful blend of flavors, featuring fresh Ahi and Salmon combined with ginger and sweet pineapple. The option to create your own bowl is also available. The service at Maui Poke is known for its quality and friendliness. While raw fish may take some getting used to for newcomers, the portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced.
I’m pretty fussy about Poke and didn’t expect to like this as much as I do given its location in the pretty uninteresting food court at whaler’s village, but we’ve now been 3 times on 3 different trips to Maui. We always get the big kahuna Maui Signature bowl with ahi and I’m always impressed with the quantity and quality of the Poke which is always so fresh, soft, and with very little sauce. I love that it’s very ‘pure’ but you also get many other toppings in the bowl too - great combination. Highly recommend for taste and great value.

A bare bones, casual poke shop. You're not coming here so much for the atmosphere, you come here because you want good poke. And they deliver!! I had the spicy Lahaina with salmon and Maui local salad. I really enjoyed it. It was maybe a little bit too much sauce but I think that's the style here for poke - so can't complain. Admittedly we had the Maui signature bowl yesterday and weren't too impressed - but today was awesome. Would go back. A friend ordered the fish tacos and they were the most generous, largest sized fish tacos that I've seen. Also ordered a Maui tea. I chose unsweetened. I'm sure with more sugar it would have been great, but I enjoyed the simple tea flavor.

I like that you can get your poke bowl on a salad. It's perfectly good poke, but I like spicy food, so I thought it could've used more spicy. I wonder if they had hot sauce at the counter.

Safe spot for food. Prices are fine for being in Whalers and the portions are healthy. The tuna and salmon tasted fresh (not fishy) and they’ve got options for other cooked meats if you’re not the sushi type. Quick service, nice outdoor seating, not over the top on sauces so it’s heavy on natural flavors coming through.

We both love our bowls here in our visit to Maui in this place , my wife had the Maui signature an I had the steak bowl 👏🏻
Cubanitos C — Google review
The Poke itself was true to freshness as a label. Of course a Poke Bowl does have more to offer. The Maui signature Poke Bowl blends so many flavors together. The ginger jumps out at you, but is immediately balanced with the sweetness of the pineapple that is added. Both the Ahi and the Salmon are of equal pleasure in choice factor to add to the bowl. Should the recommended bowls not fancy your eyes, you can create your own bowl as well. Service is quality and so friendly. Maui Poke is clean but does sit inside a “food court” area. Plenty of seating outside in a very nice setting inside of Whalers Village. This is not located right on a street, so just know you have to walk most likely from the parking garage; validation available upon purchase of items.

They offer fresh side dishes like vegetables, salad or rice and also have a kids' menu with options like corn dogs and grilled cheese. Located in Kaanapali and Kihei, the food truck is known for serving restaurant-quality seafood including coconut shrimp and fish and chips.
This food was fantastic. We got 4 different menu items: the Buffalo chicken tacos, the ahi tacos, beer battered fish tacos, and the ahi wrap. The portions were so generous that we almost couldn't finish. With reasonable prices and a large amount of delicious food, I'm surprised there wasn't a line. Freaking righteous! We came here after waiting over hour for reservations nearby and let me say stop here and grab some grub. This food truck is amazing. They’re friendly and gives great recommendations. Wife had the grilled chicken, comes with white rice and macaroni salad. All was great; that chicken was tender and flavorful, Mac salad was good. Also tried the pineapple coleslaw; it’s different but still great tasting. I had the fish and chips and that batter was great, seasoned and fresh. Highly recommend this place.

Da Nani Pirates has a food truck vibe, just without the wheels. Located right at the entrance of Whalers Village, we were greeted with the mouth-watering aromas of the fresh being prepared here. There was no shortage of food options, with a selection of wraps, sliders, sandwiches, salads, plate lunches, and tacos. I decided to have the Seared Ahi, which is sliced and served over organic greens, cilantro, macadamia nuts, and feta cheese, topped with wasabi lime crema sauce, inside homemade stone ground tortillas. I was hungry but had to stop eating too fast to enjoy this dish's delicious flavor combinations. Service was friendly, and my order was prepared and provided in a reasonable amount of time. I will have a lot of fun working my way through the variety of items on their menu.
